- 0:00Hey, everybody, Welcome to four Finger Discount. I am Dana. Thank
- 0:03you so much for tuning into the show this week, because this week we
- 0:06are celebrating our ninth anniversary. That's right, for the last nine years we've
- 0:11been speaking, you've been listening at supporting our show, and we thank you
- 0:14so much for it. We wouldn't be here without you. And I thought,
- 0:18as a bit of a special treat this week, rather than do a
- 0:20season nineteen review, because we know how much we love season nineteen episodes,
- 0:23we thought what we would do guy, Now we had little little business meeting.
- 0:27We've got Mitch on on the line as well, a bit of a
- 0:29three way conversation. We thought, how how can we reward these guys,
- 0:32and we thought, you know what we'll do. We'll give them a freebie
- 0:35that we usually have exclusively on our patreons. So this was recorded back on
- 0:39April twenty eighth, twenty twenty two. It is our review of the PTA
- 0:43dispands and all timer of an episode. And I'm just reading the description here
- 0:46on our Patreon says here the finger thing means the taxes. So many classic
- 0:51moments come from this episode. Some we've actually some we've actually forgotten about we're
- 0:54actually in this one. On top of the review, we discussed fish finger
- 0:58commercials, Chinese whispers, as well as whether or not it's good to be
- 1:02paddled. And I'm written a comment here from one of our patrons who says,
- 1:04oh, I love Elliott cameos. So the fact that this was recorded
- 1:07in April or twenty twenty two, that means he was three turning four?
- 1:11Is that right? Three? Yeah, it was three turning four when this
- 1:14is recorded. I've gone back and be listened to it. I'm assuming Elliot
- 1:18must make a cameo in this episode. I'm not sure we're actually speaking words
- 1:21yet, but we shall soon find out when you listen to the show.
- 1:23But as I said, nine years of you guys supporting us here at four
- 1:26fing your discount. Thank you so much. It means the world to me
- 1:29that back back in twenty twenty two, I was able to quit my job
- 1:32and turn this into my career, and you guys are the reason I was
- 1:34able to do that. So I know I've say this time and time again,
- 1:38but you guys are the real backbone of this show. We love doing
- 1:42it, but without you guys supporting us each and every week that I couldn't
- 1:45justify it being my sole source of income, So thank you again. It
- 1:49truly means the world to me. And if you do enjoy this review,
- 1:52you can find so many more of these exclusive classic reviews available on our Patreon
- 1:57now. As well as Talking Seinfeld, the and four onwards, we've got
- 2:00Speaking of the Hill season two onwards on there as well, and every episode
- 2:04of not only Tales of Futurama we're currently in season three of Futurama, but
- 2:07also the movie Guys, and Mitch's returned to the fore Fingure Discount Network to
- 2:12help us out with the Movie Guys' reviews as well. We let the patrons
- 2:15deside which movie we review and then we review it. And this month we're
- 2:20doing American Pie. So that was a lot of fun. But again,
- 2:22thank you so much for your support. Nine strong years. Let's bring on
- 2:24another nine going forward as well. But I hope you enjoy our review the
- 2:29Special Guy on Springfield review of the PTA Dispands, and next week we shall
- 2:31be back with our regular programming. Enjoy How can I return to Bedlin looking
- 2:39out the window to Bedlin, staring at my handled. It's a Bedlin Bedland
- 2:47School Canoe. Oh, you better believe they're to Bedlin. Four Finger Discount.
- 2:53Ye, it is time for the fourth Finger Discount. Pete Guion Exclusive
- 3:13four Fingered Discount Revisited Classic. What a long title this podcast has. It's
- 3:17We've gone back all the way to season six. I was actually surprised that
- 3:21this was all the way back in season six. I always saw this wasecond
- 3:23season seven eight episode, But nope, it's the twenty first episode of the
- 3:28sixth season. Simpsons episode two f nineteen with Pta dispands, I'm Dando,
- 3:32I'm guy. How are you so? Just to be here? Did doing
- 3:36all right? We're recording this a little late in the evening on a Thursday
- 3:40night, but happy to do so because this is an episode I'm happy to
- 3:46talk about. Yes, I'm just giving you guys a heads up right now.
- 3:47All your patron's out there. I can hear Shenanigan's going out in that
- 3:52whole way out there with Elliott and Nikola. It's Elliott's bed time, but
- 3:54it's past his bedtime, which means he's passed the point of no, a
- 3:58term which means he doesn't want to go to bed. He needs to go
- 4:00to be because he's fucking tired. So I'm expecting either to be called into
- 4:02that next room to rob his back to go to sleep, or he's going
- 4:04to come in here and have a cuddle. And he come in here for
- 4:06a cuddle, you can say hello to him. We can get some Guy
- 4:10and Guy Ellier time once again here on the Patreon exclusive. So if you
- 4:13can need some scream in the background, I do apologize. But first of
- 4:15all, thank you so much. Guys. If you are hearing this,
- 4:16obviously you're an eight dollars plus patron and we love you for doing so and
- 4:20supporting the show. But yes, the PTA dispands a really good episode.
- 4:24Hey, mister Davis, A very good episode. And before we begin that,
- 4:28why do you never come over to my place when I'm tired and I
- 4:30want a backgroun? Oh? I can if you want to. Actually,
- 4:32no, we bet that would be pushing the boundaries. I'm a good episode,
- 4:39a fun episode, a very meme heavy episode. Yeah, definitely.
- 4:45This was an episode that I tended to not avoid as a kid, but
- 4:47just never really appreciate it as much as I should have. And the older
- 4:50I got them more, I went, oh, now I understand what taxes
- 4:53are the taxes? Yeah, that's segment spoiler. That's my favorite bit.
- 5:00It's fucking amazing that the crowd, the crowd banter as they're discussing it.
- 5:04Oh so great, that's that's about the money. But the tax the taxes.
- 5:11The finger thing means the taxes. So that was very good. But
- 5:15you're right, it's a very I mean, there's a lot of kids stuff
- 5:18in it, but it feels like a very It feels like a more grown
- 5:21up episode, even though definitely we don't we don't have a lot of Homer
- 5:26and margin no, no. But what I like about it is, and
- 5:28I tend to like these episodes and gravitate towards them, is the ones I've
- 5:30mentioned this before where they include the entire Springfield community and we get a good
- 5:33mixture of characters here that you don't normally see in random episode in every day
- 5:38episodes. So you're getting jasper with that. That's a paddlin and I for
- 5:43some reason, I thought this was the one where really does the bonjour you
- 5:45chee it in Surrender Monkeys, But no it's not. But yeah, it's
- 5:47just skinner and crabapple. This is one of the first episodes that we really
- 5:50got a spotlight Besides, I think like Butt the Lover, there's only a
- 5:54couple episodes before this where we've got a spotlight on missus K. I thought
- 5:57this was a great missus K episode. It really was, wasn't it.
- 6:00Yeah. I mean I like the dynamic between the two of these, Between
- 6:04between Skinner and Kububble. I think they just they play off each other so
- 6:09well. They're a lot more alike than not that neither would care to admit,
- 6:15but circumstances tend to put them at either, you know, other opposite
- 6:18sides of a conflict. Where they finally do hookup work so well because it's
- 6:24because kind of like they know it's been here the whole time, it's right
- 6:27in front of our eyes. Come. So yeah, I very much enjoyed
- 6:32just the dynamic of that. I like that you've got to see both sides
- 6:36of their argument. I mean, it's not like Skinner's just a penny pincher
- 6:42or easy pocketing dough for himself. He maybe who knows, but you know,
- 6:46he's like, no, I've got I'm doing the best I came with
- 6:47what I've got to work with. Here and Edna's like, that's not good
- 6:51enough. So yeah, I can see both sides of this argument. Yeah,
- 6:56he actually if he had more money, he would use it properly,
- 6:59but he has no fun. But I also like how we got to see
- 7:00the results of having no teachers in Springfiel, where the kids are constantly on
- 7:04holiday just being at the arcade, and just eventually they realize, wait a
- 7:09minute, we need school. Yeah, we need that structure, we need
- 7:13to be learning stuff other you know, you end up with you know,
- 7:15the rist of an eighty year old, or you know, hooked on soaps,
- 7:19yeah, or fine kites in the middle of the night. It's one
- 7:24of those things where you don't realize until you finish school how much you need
- 7:28school and how great it is to just have that every day. I know
- 7:30you don't you're going to want to go, but every day you get to
- 7:32see your friends. You know, you have to learn and things like that.
- 7:34But the social aspect, as soon as school's over, you go,
- 7:38oh, wait a minute, Now I've got a plan to meet up with
- 7:41my friends. What Yeah, oh wait a minute, I'm going to be
- 7:45thrust into a whole new environment where I've got to interact with people and I
- 7:47don't know, find out about who they are and you know, whether I
- 7:51like them, how to make them like me. Yeah, that ended that
- 7:56part of the end of the school year where you were stressing out making sure
- 7:58that your friends were going to be in your class the following year, and
- 8:01in that feeling of seeing them on the list, you're like, yeah,
- 8:03we're doing the same class. Its gonna be the best year ever. And
- 8:07that it's just you know form two, Yes, exactly right, Yes,
- 8:11but yeah, all around, this was just, as you said, very
- 8:13meme heavy. There are a lot of moments, and I forgot that my
- 8:18quote most quoted Simpson's quote line of my teenage years was purple Monkey dishwasher and
- 8:24my first ever email was purple Monkey dishwasher underscore eighty nine at hotmail dot com
- 8:28do a un. I was very annoyed that eighty eight people beat me to
- 8:31that email. Yeah, proper monkey dishwasher. I loved it. That just
- 8:37strikes me as quintessentially young Dan do At and particularly the dawn of the Internet,
- 8:43as well as like, did anyone actually use the real name for an
- 8:46email address like this? It was gonna be like CB radio. I might
- 8:50as well just call myself rubber ducky as as we as we said, we've
- 8:54got we've got ali in a studio to come and say hello, uncle guy,
- 8:56come over here, then come over come sit on daddy's lap. I'm
- 9:00gonna look like a ghost here, hang weird lights on o O Elliot,
- 9:11Elliott, Hello, Bud? How you doing? Hm? Hm? Oh
- 9:18that was very nice, very nice to hear from you. Hello, Bud?
- 9:22Are you very sleepy? Are you very tired? I think I want
- 9:26to go to bed now? Time to go to bed. Time to no
- 9:30nice b e d go to bed. Isn't he see you? Buddy?
- 9:37Uncle guy silly? Isn't he? Elliott? Why is he silly? Because
- 9:43he is? Isn't he? Can he look at him? Look at him?
- 9:45Silly? Are you getting no nice now? Good boy? See you
- 9:50buddy uncle guy silly? He says he ain't wrong. Alright, Bye bye
- 9:56Mommy, Bye bye Elliott. Okay, so we've got our little Alliott cameo
- 10:01here on the page why they pay the big Bucks Get the Alley exclusives here
- 10:03on the four Finger Discount podcast. So, yeah, as you were discussing
- 10:07what were but also you know why white guy is not a parent. That's
- 10:13his bed bedtimes tragic, e go to bed. What were we discussing before
- 10:20Elliott really interrupted us very rudely about how school is a instructured educational environment but
- 10:26also we social environment and how you learn to make friends or be a friendly
- 10:31person unless you're an absolute Nordlinger. But yeah, so I think once you
- 10:39get out of school, I mean a lot. You've got a lot of
- 10:41people saying, don't tell me school's abusius, my love clearly your door.
- 10:46It's not that that's not necessarily as a learning side. The social site,
- 10:50Yeah, the social sites can be pretty fun. They also touched on a
- 10:52similar story to what we got in Whacking Day with bart but Millhouse because he
- 10:56got too he actually was learning stuff. He was actually advancing his knowledge with
- 10:58things, and it's like, oh wait a minute. So when you actually
- 11:01get taught things by a proper tutor, you actually learn. When you're surrounded
- 11:05by the other kids who are distracting you, you actually learn. Ah,
- 11:09Yes, otherwise you wind up like Barton going. They're actually very or even
- 11:16they're very pro homeschooling on the Simpsons, aren't they They are a bit aren't
- 11:20They're not fans of the public school system. But enough about that. My
- 11:24favorite what was your favorite moment from the pt de spands? You love saying
- 11:31it that way, don't you. Umm? Well, we talked about how
- 11:35this is meme heavy, and of course everyone knows it's a paddling. Yeah,
- 11:37that's a paddling as well they should. But I'm always a fan of
- 11:41Hello, Missus Palmer Horst like to get down. I'd like to get down
- 11:46now. I love that. It's just so adorable. Hold children? Have
- 11:54we had many episodes about Missus Hoover or miss Hoover later on we do?
- 12:00Yeah? Not. It strikes me. She strikes me as a fun character.
- 12:03I'm gonna have to get to know more about her. We got we
- 12:07got when she had lime disease that time, but we haven't you've got lime
- 12:09disease, yes, but we haven't. We haven't really had like a Miss
- 12:13Hoover story. Yeah. I like that. It's a wonderful life tribute or
- 12:16shout out that. No, it's in fradgi. What's my money doing in
- 12:20your house? Here? Bo? What that we do with my money?
- 12:22Fred? It's and a very good Jimmy Stewart impersonation. I'm assuming by Harry
- 12:30Dan. I was a Dan always Dan. Yeah, yeah, what was
- 12:33good? He does it well, he does well. But I think one
- 12:35of my favorite bits and just a little throwaway gag, was when Bart is
- 12:39making mischief on the construction site and he says to the guy and he in
- 12:45the crane, you spin around real fast, and the guy who's driving or
- 12:50operating the grane a little struggler. Yeah sounds like fun, that doesn't but
- 12:56just that little struggler. That's again. Yeah, a bunch of fun stuff
- 13:01in this, but they're the bits that I enjoyed the most. I liked
- 13:05the the egging on of the of missus k Skinner where they both about to
- 13:09walk off the cock, but just being a little shithead. But I like
- 13:15Bart's mischief in this. The chief was very fun. It was very nostalgic.
- 13:18Wasn't because we didn't really get that in season fifteen anymore? That kind
- 13:20of mischief. No, no, I mean the various voices that he's pulled.
- 13:26I mean it was funny on the construction side when the former turns out
- 13:30that Bart's voice, But the whole bit in the bank, it's like,
- 13:33what do you mean? No money? I just love all that stuff.
- 13:37I thought that was very enjoyable. You only got money for free world customers.
- 13:41I also liked when he was taking them back to their room, but
- 13:45back to my office. Well that's highly regular. But of course the taxes
- 13:52after raise taxes, oh, raise the taxes. But there was there's one
- 13:56voice you can hear amongst the crowd, who's just saying the funniest shit.
- 13:58Yeah, it's so great. Next question, you there eating the beast.
- 14:05All right, it is now time for trivia. Now, since this is
- 14:07a Patreon exclusive, I don't think the patrons really need their names read out.
- 14:11They know that we love them. They're eight dollar patrons plus patrons or
- 14:13absolute champions, So let's go love. Yes we do. We promised them
- 14:20that we would read them out on all future shows, so let's do it.
- 14:22Let's read out the patron shofts for twenty dollars patrons Andrews, Sally Kimberly,
- 14:26hag Scorpio, Kevin Dental, Planned Flood, Jonathan Rossi, Steamham Champion,
- 14:31Dylan haggartt Zach Pruett, Christopher Darby, Timothy Burlson, Joel Yoland,
- 14:35Jordan Moldman, Richie Katie g Daniel Kott, Nick Shannon Hofer, Jenna,
- 14:39Rice Reese Roberts, Adam Sanderson, George Mcmenermee, Stephen Roberts, Sean DV.
- 14:43Bella, Windo Bank, David Stewart, Tom Pickering, Mark Boston Burgess,
- 14:46Grand Skipper, Noah and Declan Phoenix twenty dollars patrons. You guys are
- 14:50absolute legends. Do you know what they will? All those people have in
- 14:54common? They're very, very sexy. All legends, Oh, legends.
- 14:58I haven't said yes. My first question is what is Shelbyville Elementary's motto?
- 15:05Oh, veritas it ciencia m h. Do you know what that stands for?
- 15:11What that means? It's truth in science, isn't it? Truth and
- 15:13knowledge? Truth and knowledge? Yeah, complaining, Well, while we're talking
- 15:16about Springfield Elementary, what is the name of its principal shall we Vill or
- 15:20Springfield she shallby Ville? It was a principal valiant, that is correct.
- 15:26My next question is what vitamin does milk have? It's called vitamin H correct,
- 15:33sure does. What was the name of the Springfield brigade that absolutely killed
- 15:39all those Shelbyville the Long Bearded Brigade. There's a number and some facial hair
- 15:46in there, have no idea. It is the ninth Bearded Infantry. Ninth
- 15:50bearded Infantry. Yes, and they slaughtered the people even though they're waving white
- 15:54flags. What what food was in Lisa's school kit that she'd prepared for herself?
- 16:02Apologies, guys have been here. The share in the background, Nicola
- 16:03just exercise in the shell good. I don't know it was cafeteria style fish
- 16:11sticks. Oh, fish fingers were a big hit in the downder Houseold when
- 16:15I was a kid, and then I got older, I went eating this
- 16:18ship. Do you remember that? Not even once in a while. Nah,
- 16:25I'm not huge on fish. But remember the Bird's Eye commercial birds eye
- 16:29fish fingers. That's pretty much it is. That how it went though singers
- 16:33a song, the song of the sea birds. That's it. That's the
- 16:37one. I couldn't think of it. Yes, you nailed it. I
- 16:37don't. I'm happy to hell. I actually, uh, I didn't have
- 16:44fish fingers. I maybe had the grown up version of fish fingers, which
- 16:48is like sticks of whiting in batter from your friends at Bird's Eye whatever,
- 16:53whack them in the air fry. Did I tell you that the Lovely Lays
- 16:56brought me an air fryer. No, but how I see, I can't
- 17:00work out how to use out properly. You just wax it in there and
- 17:03close it. But like I tried to cook chips with just like I chopped
- 17:07the potatoes, chuck them in, not chips from the packet, like poppered
- 17:11potatoes. Chop them up. Cha, they came out fucking horrendous. Really
- 17:15did you oil them? I mean I did put oil in it, yeah,
- 17:18but I must have done something wrong because they just come out really just
- 17:21shrive it up and not cooked properly. It's weird. Okay, Well I
- 17:23must admit I'm not getting chip chips like fish and chip chop chips. Yeah,
- 17:29but I mean I'm I'm chopping up spuds and put them in a bowl
- 17:32with some oil, bit of garlic. They taste, so you put oil.
- 17:36So you soak them in oil first, Yeah, not soaked, but
- 17:38sort of you know, sprinkle a bit on their toss it so they all
- 17:41they're a bit oily, and then you whack them in the in the airfry
- 17:47for about fifteen minutes, maybe longer, probably longer even I mean mine always
- 17:52come out a little bit. They never come out super crispy, but I
- 17:56like, I'm a little bit soft. Super crispy and chicken salt. That's
- 17:59the best way. Okay, well, but I cooked up some homemade chips,
- 18:04some handcut chips, and also some of those bird's eye whiting sticks in
- 18:08battery. Sounds good, tasty, tasty adults anyway, the adults, the
- 18:14grown up. Your next question. My next question, what is the name
- 18:21and number of the piano tuners union that is going to strike in solidarity no
- 18:26idea with the teachers Local four one two Local four one two as opposed to
- 18:30the four one one. My final question, besides the regular Springfieldians, what
- 18:38famous teacher that but eliminate as a substitute. He eliminated Gabe Kaplan Welcome the
- 18:45best themes of all time. I love that theme so just makes me so
- 18:49happy. Now let's I'm going to test your knowledge of this one. What
- 18:53time were Skinner and Krabapple locked in the office? Yes, he saw the
- 19:00clock. It was originally at I want to say quarter to eleven or quarter
- 19:07to twelve. I think it was actually eleven o'clock. Damn, damn.
- 19:12I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was eleven o'clock and then
- 19:15it went. They were there for like three or four hour few hours,
- 19:18yeah, several hours? Yeah? Okay, yeah, there you go.
- 19:21And you got any more questions before we head into our review, I could
- 19:23give you one more one more to do it? Why not? Okay?
- 19:26Then chapters what through what were Millhouse's recess assigned. I'm gonna say three through
- 19:33six. You're very close. It's three through seven, three through seven.
- 19:37It was three through something. Okay, well done, well played you in
- 19:38Sivia for this Patreon exclusive reviewer, the PTA di Spans. All right,
- 19:41it's now trying to get into our review because there's no ads here on this
- 19:45on this review. So the original edit of the PTA to Spans was April
- 19:48sixteenth, nineteen ninety five. There wasn't no there was a chopboard. Gay
- 19:53actually yeah, I do not have power of attorney over first graders. And
- 19:57the cash gig was the one with the living room is modeled after the Relativity
- 20:02and the family you're running through the very different staircases. Ah right, all
- 20:06right, So the episode was directed by Swinton O. Scott. The third
- 20:11Wow, I was on a pompous when you're the second or the third,
- 20:15I don't like the second. I mean, I think if you're a second,
- 20:18then you're junior. What's worse, though, second? Or Esquire?
- 20:22Well, Esquire? Can you Esquire? You've got to be a lawyer.
- 20:26What is Esquire? I'm pretty sure, I mean, I'm pretty sure it's
- 20:32a lawyer, is it? Yeah? You so and so Esquire? But
- 20:36hang on, let's uh, let's go away. Bill and Ted though he's
- 20:38Bill as pressed An Esquire nam Ted Theodore Logan. So he's Esquire, but
- 20:44he's not a lawyer. Oh hang on, hmm. British a polite title
- 20:48appended to a man's name when no other title is used, typically in the
- 20:53address of a letter or other documents. J. C. Pearson Esquire historical
- 21:00a young nobleman who, in training for knighthood, served as an attendant to
- 21:03a knight. But that's a squire. That's not squire. Okay, well
- 21:07maybe it's just yeah, maybe you call yourself that and just to be PONCEI
- 21:11yeah, maybe. Anyway, I always thought it was like a not a
- 21:14legal qualification. But you know, you know how you know your doctor do
- 21:18yeem houser? Yeah, MD. And if he'd gone to law school he'd
- 21:25be do ye howser esquire. Yes, that's what I thought. But maybe
- 21:27I'm completely wrong and you shouldn't listen to me. Possibly possibly, so I
- 21:33was just looking here. As written by Jennifer Clintendon, and her only episode
- 21:37before this that she had written was and Maggie Makes Three, which is the
- 21:41one that's do it for her, So Jennifer knows what she's doing. Jennifer
- 21:47hits him out of the park sometimes. And the next episode she wrote was
- 21:49Scenes of Class Struggle where Marge gets the Channel dress and Hope does the golf
- 21:52of mister Burns. Another fucking great episode. And then she contributed to twenty
- 21:56two short films about spoon Field, my favorite episode, and then she the
- 22:00Pretzel episode Gen's killing It. And then she went all the way over to
- 22:03Seinfeld and she wrote some classic episodes there like the Package, the Little Jerry,
- 22:06the Millennium, the Apology, the Burning, the Puerto Rican Day,
- 22:10and then she wrote some Raymond episodes and yeah, Jennifer's got it going on.
- 22:15Nice Jen, I know, right, Jen, the crit We're in
- 22:18good, good company here anyway. So the episode kicks off with the kids
- 22:22on their way on an excursion on the bus and the bus has certainly seen
- 22:26better days, but save for them the old bus, isn't it because when
- 22:29a leap hits the old one boom yes, and Skinner then says, look,
- 22:33we're on a budget. You know, I can't do much about this
- 22:36because missus cases you should try and fix it because we at the whole the
- 22:37whole kit get bigger and the seatfelt through and he says due to budget budget
- 22:41cuts a kind of and fix it the fumes that are in the back and
- 22:44it's resulting in low test scores. Of course, we get the Ralphs and
- 22:47the whatnock down the back. Then they begin the breaking procedure, which I
- 22:51thought was quite funny, and we get the woman who's at there is off
- 22:56Fort Springfield or something? Is that where they're going to something like that,
- 22:59Yeah, I think for spring anyway, and she's explaining the cannons here.
- 23:02You know these they're very very sensitive, gonna be very careful because it's pointed
- 23:06shirt that watchtower. Very very sensitive. Bus comes in bang of course for
- 23:10safety reasons. We don't get learned. It's just common sense, good bait
- 23:15and switched by gen. They're very good. Otto was then given great.
- 23:18I love this otto was given the credit card, and I mint for afterwards,
- 23:22and I'm mint for afterwards. And unfortunately, though they realize here that
- 23:26it's five dollars a child. Last time it was free, but when Disney
- 23:30Disney takes over, unfortunately it's now five dollars chop because hey, there's a
- 23:33profit to be had, isn't there. Indeed, Disney, that's good prophecy.
- 23:41Then shallby Ville arrives, No school can afford that, and shall we
- 23:45Ville Elementary arrive with principal valiant. He even gives the woman behind the canno
- 23:48fuctual dollars to make sure they learn a bit more than they need to,
- 23:52or then they would normally. Then they try to watch the war re enactment,
- 23:56and Bash is sitting on missus K's shoulders, just trying to get a
- 23:59bit of Lookxie, you gonna to see the fat one. I'm going to
- 24:00make get the fat ones. Hey, they're trying to learn for free.
- 24:03Get them use your phony guns as clubs. Then unfortunately he's eaten the mint
- 24:11first. It's never a good thing. Have you ever brushed your teeth after
- 24:14eating a mint? Or actually no, no, sorry, have you ever
- 24:18brush your teeth and then eating food straight after, or try to drink something
- 24:22straight after. It's horrific. The worst thing you can do. Clean your
- 24:26teeth and then have orange juice, orange juice or softdrk Oh, my goodness,
- 24:30gracious, that's so bad. It is so bad. The kids there,
- 24:34they all hop on the bus. They're making a break for it.
- 24:37The end of Outer again, it's a really terrific edit. That is one
- 24:44of the fucking greatest cuts in the history of the Simpsons that because it's clear
- 24:47they just to beat that little they leave it just looking off for their about
- 24:52to kill him. It's like it's one of the I think actually too if
- 24:56you listen to the audio commentary, I remember it being one of my favorite
- 24:59audio commentary members because they do exactly what they said they said, watch this
- 25:02and they all like pause, wait for that cut, and they order these
- 25:03gray menors break out in hysterical That's terrific. It's so so great. Over
- 25:10being one of my favorite moments ever is Simpson's commentaries. But as E says,
- 25:14thank God for permission, slips Butt and Lisa a then getting their lunch,
- 25:18or that they got the wrong lunches, because I think Bart says,
- 25:22I'm so proud of you. Please be good. For the love of God,
- 25:23please be good. From Marge Cimar that teachers are fed up. You
- 25:29have to start putting money back into the school. You cut back on everything,
- 25:33salary, supplies, the food. I don't care what you say.
- 25:37I can taste the newspapers. Shredded newspapers had much needed rough innge and the
- 25:41central links. Besides, you didn't notice the old gym mats. There's very
- 25:45little meat in these gym matts. Our demands are very reasonable. By ignoring
- 25:51them, you're selling out these children's futures. Oh come on and know we
- 25:55both know these children have no future. Prove me wrong, dads, prove
- 26:03me wrong. I like how he tries to justify everything. Doesn't he a
- 26:07rock in a hard place. There's nothing he can do about it. He's
- 26:10would to make the best of the situation, as you said, and he's
- 26:12trying to look on the bridside and talking about You know, you're getting your
- 26:15essential inks when you eat your shredded newspaper. A great line delivery. Almost
- 26:19immediately after this though, when they cut to the kitchen. Yeah, there's
- 26:22very little meat each. I love I love the lunch lady. She's got
- 26:30a great line to lunch lady Doris. Of course, yeah, but how
- 26:33good was that? I'll give it a rest, and we both know their
- 26:36children have no future. Prove me wrong. Lisa is then worried that the
- 26:42teachers are going to go and strike, and but it's like, what are
- 26:45you worried about? And he tries to cry his knuckles, but unfortunately his
- 26:48bones are very brittle from drinking milk. Thought they hung on the milk a
- 26:52little bit too long. Two little kids that are trying to read it.
- 26:56Who knows? But Edna points out that they the new equipment. This pointer
- 27:00is now just a nub. It still points, doesn't it still points?
- 27:04They've onnly got the banded books. Now do you remember what the band books
- 27:07were? I know that one was tech war Sexist. I think was in
- 27:14there by Henry Miller who sat tech War. Yes, Theory of Evolution by
- 27:18Charles Darwin, forty Years of Playboy by Hugh Hefner. Steal this book,
- 27:22Abby Hoffman hop on Pop Doctor Seuss and the Satanic Versus Junior illustrated edition that
- 27:30was their courtesy of Simpsons Archive dot com a great website if you're an obsessive
- 27:34Simpsons fan for all the little hidden gags, and nothing gets missed on the
- 27:38episode. There's something to be seen in the episodes. The Simpsons archive is
- 27:42where you will find it. Or four fingered this game, oh full finger
- 27:45Thiscain, Well, I'll reiterate what they're doing. Take credit for it.
- 27:49It's the American way, also the Australian way. It's the dan Do way
- 27:52and the Guy way, but faster. There's not going to be a strike
- 27:56bart Or Scanner said, you wouldn't have the one times to go through with
- 28:00it. Skinner said that, well, I had to clean it up a
- 28:03little basically. Kru Babo said you'd give the teachers everything they want. She
- 28:08did. Yeah. She said you'd fold faster than Superman on laundry day.
- 28:12I will see about that, Simpson. I always thought you were sneaky and
- 28:18manipulative, but now I see you're really a very sensitive little boy. Thank
- 28:22you, sir, oh Seymar. You're being totally unfair and the teachers won't
- 28:29stand for it. Teachers, you don't have the guts, does strike.
- 28:32You don't have the guts to take us all on. That's it? See
- 28:41right? How goes the Excuse Me Kids is an emergency broadcast. She takes
- 28:48over announces it going to be a strike, and Miss Hoover has bailed go
- 28:51home, children, hear them, but of course followed by you one of
- 28:55your favorites, missus pommel Horst leaving the key behind. Obviously that's a take
- 28:59on the gim equipment, the pommel horse, Yes, the pobble horse that
- 29:03you vault over when you're doing gymnastics. And the band plays the forbidden music?
- 29:07Which was which song it was? Pop Goes the Whease. I heard
- 29:11that I did like the done will you play the Forbidden news? Great unexpected
- 29:22line delivery, and it is a very fun quick way to go to commercials.
- 29:26And it's like it is yeah, you guys like Pop Goes the Weel.
- 29:30This episode does a great job of setting up the story in a really
- 29:33fun way, so it's like the first commercials out of the way. But
- 29:37sometimes the episodes nowadays where the first act has nothing to do with the story,
- 29:41but it somehow leads to the story. But this was all relevant to
- 29:45what was going on. I really appreciated that. But we come back from
- 29:47commercial and the kids we're all racing out of the school. Great news,
- 29:51mum, horrible news, but it's got a pleasure overload it. Give the
- 29:53dog a big kiss. You've for given the cat a big kiss before U
- 29:57Yeah, I'll give it a kiss on the head. Yeah, not on
- 30:00the on the lips. Uh No. I will bump noses with the ca
- 30:03Yeah. I think that's what you do with catchy bump noses. That's the
- 30:07thing, isn't it. I think dogs I just rough them up a big
- 30:08kiss on the head. It goes to leave with the crowbar. List is
- 30:12all prepared, though. She's got a tape recording of the teacher saying what
- 30:17was it? Eight? What's what's? What's she saying? Repeat? I
- 30:18can't remember, she says something on repeat. Damn it, I forgot ah,
- 30:21I forgot anyway. It escapes me. But Milhouse unfortunately has a two
- 30:25so he's not going anywhay. He's got homeschool list that these parents are quick
- 30:27onto. That won't they absolutely Kirk finally did some decent parenting. The kids
- 30:33then all race out to the street and course the traffic jam. But it
- 30:36is the various him being naughty. So but at the construction site with the
- 30:38adult with the same the same voice, which is the kind of thing you
- 30:41can only really do in a in an animated series, but they do it
- 30:45very well. The arcade is super busy. I love to go security Guard
- 30:47now shaking the kids down. I thought this was going to be the episode
- 30:52where you saw the My Dinner with Andre video game More we had Bond Mons
- 30:57and Trench at Insights. That is actually the episode Springfield Files. Ah okay
- 31:03with the with the X Files crew, which is one of my favorites as
- 31:07well. It is a good and top five for me. But it's playing
- 31:08chess at the park that boys playing three gives the chess at once. It's
- 31:14a nice shout out to a movie that I don't know it's an actual shout
- 31:17out, but it's certainly a bit of a reminds me of a movie that
- 31:19I really did called Searching for Bobby Fisher about a young chess prodigy who goes
- 31:25to play speed chess in Central Park with all the chests hustlers and usually ends
- 31:30up winning. This one is just like, oh wow, look at this
- 31:33kid going no, he sucks. What's that? What's the show about chess
- 31:37that was written in Netflix? The Queen's Gambit? Any good? Oh?
- 31:41Yeah, I highly recommend. Okay, yeah, dude, check that shit
- 31:44out. We will check that shit out once I finished mine. But I
- 31:45suppose I can betic Core suls any once a week. I can do that.
- 31:48I can fit it in between. We need something to watch in between.
- 31:51We've got Moonnight on Wednesdays and Betty corre Stall on Tuesdays. We need
- 31:53something you have to watch. Well, there you go, that's one.
- 31:56We're now at dinner. I love homer justification here. I think as a
- 32:00parent, I now appreciate it more. Lousy teachers trying to palm our kids
- 32:04off on us, very very funny. And Lisa tries to reason with with
- 32:09Homeland. What do you mean like they want to be able to be more
- 32:13productive? Lisa, if you don't like your job, you don't strike.
- 32:17You just go in every day and do it really half fast. That's the
- 32:22American way. He's more he's more like us than we have a kid with.
- 32:27Yes, it's not the American way, it's just the adult way.
- 32:29It's the way. Yes, Lisa can't relax. You know she's losing her
- 32:35perspect pacity. Yeah, well it's always in the last place you look.
- 32:39Look the teachers now are on strike at the front with their picket signs.
- 32:45I appreciated the sign that said, just give me, gimme, gimme,
- 32:47give me, give me. There's something about that line, give me,
- 32:51gimme, gimmey. It's just it's great. Can you give me, gim
- 32:52me, give me, give me? And then Lisa tries to approach Miss
- 32:57Hoover for some for some learning, get away from me, from me.
- 33:01The other two tunas as you said earlier before one two also on strike,
- 33:06and then we get one of the greatest moments I've ever of all time.
- 33:09Now for operations strike me no longer. You know. I heard Skinner say
- 33:15the teachers will crack any minute. Skinner said, the teachers will crack any
- 33:22minute. Purple monkey dishwasher, Well, we'll show him, especially for that
- 33:27purple monkey dishwasher remarks. It's true though Chinese whispers, it always ends in
- 33:34a shamble, doesn't it. It does. Indeed, did you ever play
- 33:37that game at school where you had to try and get the message across And
- 33:38were you that one kid that deliberately fucked it up for everybody? I would
- 33:42never I'm sure I played it, but I always trying to make sure that
- 33:47the message got through uncensored, and you know correct. It's like what I
- 33:52used to try and be the good kids, so it get to me.
- 33:54It'd be like who stole the cookie from the cookies? Who stole the cookie
- 33:58from the cookie? Just ship Bag And I'm like, I'm pretty sure ship
- 34:00Bag wasn't any original light. I'm going to not include it in the next
- 34:04one. I was a goodie, goodie charmers, you know things. All
- 34:07the cars are honking at the teachers in support, but no, honk,
- 34:10give your white cookies. I mean I would honk. Would you not honk
- 34:15who doesn't like cookies? Exactly? Right? Millhouse thing gets his recess.
- 34:19Also honk if your horny exactly. I mean I'm always honking. Bill House
- 34:22then gets so funny. We have to do that episode. It's so great.
- 34:29Millhouse gets his recess and rather than go and look at a hive of
- 34:32killer bees, he's like, I'm actually gonna study here, I'm gonna I'm
- 34:36gonna learn. But it's like, what what you actually learning? Jim Boat,
- 34:40I like it when you see the softer side of the bully said,
- 34:43Jimbo's watching soap with his mum. It's so great. Believe Storic would do
- 34:46that. It reminded me of being on school holidays because we'd always be said
- 34:52to NaN's house because nan I wasn't working, so mom and dad were working
- 34:54with to stay there for the during the day, and they would always watch
- 34:58her soap. She had a it was twelve o'clock and one o'clock. You
- 35:00had Days of Our Lives and Young and the Restless, Young and the Wrestlers.
- 35:06And I can still hear that theme song, how does this kick off?
- 35:10Well, I know the days of it, like sad, three of
- 35:16our Lives, Dude, Young of the Wrestlers. I can't remember the theme,
- 35:22although I've seen those credits so many times with the purple Yeah, yeah,
- 35:24I think it's finished now, Young and the Restless, is it not?
- 35:27I believe it might. All those soaps just seem to have just disappeared.
- 35:30But man Nan loved her soaps, and man I got so into it.
- 35:32This would be a guy and Young and the Restless. I think it
- 35:34was. It was the other one had really pointy eyebrows and it was like
- 35:38always the villain. I didn't like that guy. I didn't like that guy
- 35:43at all. The bullies are then sick of ArKade games. We were playing
- 35:45them for too long. I never thought I could scar playing this. And
- 35:49I've got the doctor says, I've got rist of an eighty year old,
- 35:51So I better stop. What do you mean the breakers out of money in
- 35:54suv it You only have enough jash for the next three customers. Why do
- 36:02I drive Josh second? Here? No? No, I don't have your
- 36:07money here Trohn Burl's house, fragigh, Hey, what the hell you're doing
- 36:14my money in your house? Fred? And it's always that instigates the fight.
- 36:22He's the one that always overreacts to everything. Here, trigger boy,
- 36:25trigger man. That, yeah, it's a Bill's house. Lisa begs to
- 36:35be graded. She's just taken to the extreme. I just like very concerned.
- 36:37She's like, this is not right. They're laying in bed and she's
- 36:39saying, you know, Lisa's become very obsessive. She's trying to dusset her
- 36:42raincoat. Yeah, chicken, this perpetual motion machine. Build what the hell?
- 36:46And stop? Bart needs Bart needs boundaries and structure. Hello, mother,
- 36:52dear. Very creepy, very very creepy. He's not He tends to
- 36:57go to the dark side pretty quickly. Back to his own devices. I've
- 37:00got here though, reminded me of being during during lockdown last year, Being
- 37:05on lockdown where we couldn't go to work and you just get in this rut
- 37:07where you couldn't do anything, and it's just you had no concept of what
- 37:10day it was anymore, what time it was. Just you're up all night,
- 37:14you're sleeping in it was just no you'd wake up and you'd say clocking
- 37:17on. Now, guys, I wouldn't really do that, but that's what
- 37:22that's what you're not. That's what you'd want to do. But yeah,
- 37:24you just you just lost track of all structure during lockdown, didn't we It
- 37:29was what a time it was, and it's just been forgotten about now it's
- 37:31just like, did that really happen? It really had? And I mean
- 37:36I know we we didn't talk a lot about COVID while it was happening,
- 37:38and it's still happening and it is still happening, but it's just like whatever,
- 37:45Yeah, your wife you live was, got COVID, doesn't matter,
- 37:49got to work, it's what what the what? Yeah? In fact,
- 37:53it seems like more people are getting it now. Yeah, but when we're
- 37:57actually looking I mean obviously because we're not lockdown. That's yeah, that makes
- 38:01sense now that I say that. Those guys I was like, why are
- 38:04we even in lockdown because there's more people getting it down in the never.
- 38:07I'm like, because we were in lockdown. Oh yeah, but yeah.
- 38:14It was just one of those things where Alice's going to grow up and go,
- 38:16what was this? What was that? What was this COVID lockdown thing?
- 38:19I'm like, well, kids, sit down and strap yourselves in.
- 38:21Boy, do we have a story for you. Yeah, let me tell
- 38:23you about the good old days of COVID while you know, we're in the
- 38:27midst of climate change or something like that. Lisa enters the room. Lea's
- 38:30getting here in this house, we all be the laws of nam. He
- 38:35then sets up a meeting between missus Kay and Skinner. Actually it's not a
- 38:37meeting, it's a town hall meeting. Sorry it is, Yes, I
- 38:40like that. Forget. Here's Edna Boo Skinners so spiteful, and she says,
- 38:47you know, we need the money Exkinners that I can do, so
- 38:50we're going have to raise the taxes. Ah, I'm not going to like
- 38:52do this justice, I'm just going to play the clip because it's just the
- 38:54police do so great. Our demands are simple, a small cost of living
- 38:59increase and some better equipment and supplies for your children. Give it to them.
- 39:06Yeah, in the dream world, we have a very tight budget.
- 39:07To do what he's asking, we'd have to raise taxes. It's your children's
- 39:16future. It will cost you taxes. Come on means to taxes. Well,
- 39:36I guess this is a case where we'll have to agree to disagree.
- 39:39I don't agree to that. Then, why this is a deli? You
- 39:44have a pickle? Oh my god, the PTI has disbanded. No,
- 39:51No, the p t A has not disbanded. How good was the the
- 39:57god at the window spent? Then back in that he was added in by
- 40:04I believe it was David Murkin. Let me have a look here, so
- 40:08production, Yes, so then showrunner. So now Al Jean is a show
- 40:13runer. David Merkan was a show runner at the time. He thought had
- 40:15a lot of potential when that she brought up. Jennifer brought up the idea
- 40:19of the teachers going on strike, and he was the one who added in,
- 40:22Yeah, the guy jumping out the window. That was his little contribution
- 40:24to this which every little bit helps, Yes, every little bit helps.
- 40:28I feel like though I washed it and went if this was a season thirty
- 40:31two episode and the guy did that, I feel like people would shit on
- 40:35it. But because because it's so random and crazy, people were like,
- 40:39oh, that was stupid. But I think just because in a classic episode
- 40:44fans are more forgiving, you may well be right. Fans just are not
- 40:49willing to accept anything as funny in modern Simpsons, where I think it's hilarious.
- 40:57But yeah, So the guy jumps at the window and they they realize
- 41:00that they've got a plan. So it's not going They're not going to come
- 41:02to an agreement. You know, I agreed or disagree. I don't agree
- 41:06to that. So they're officially disbanded and they bring out the plan. Flaners
- 41:08brings it out. Well, either super intelligent cyborgs and if they're not created
- 41:13yet, what does these people from neighborhood? So the first one we get
- 41:15is Jasper. This is the next bit. It was really fun, just
- 41:16all the different people. I did feel sorry for mother, so Jasper just
- 41:20being cranky old man by believe that's paddling Frank with the preschoolers. No,
- 41:24you can't play whether you wouldn't know, we wouldn't appreciate that guy, But
- 41:29you're right. I mean, this is just a great use of side characters
- 41:32men much loved or like oh that that one. Yeah, And they all
- 41:38reacted in a way that you can actually believe. They would absolutely of Jasper
- 41:44with his paddle. You better believe that to paddle. But then we get
- 41:49Mo and he's trying and of course, you know, I liked the fact
- 41:52that they tied in Bart's name gags he had, and that all the kids
- 41:54laughing at him. But how bad did you feel for me? When he's
- 41:57like, it's my big ears, Isn't it can help that he runs out?
- 42:00I was like, oh, man, poor Mo. He's really he
- 42:04really wanted to help these kids, and they made fun of him, but
- 42:06they weren't laughing him. But he's just so self conscious. Then you know,
- 42:10Bart says, yeah, I kind of feel bad, But you know,
- 42:15remember who else was on the list? So no, who was it?
- 42:19There was Chief Wigham, Lionel Huts, Barney, a lot of huts.
- 42:22That's a scene. I hope they actually wrote that one of us deleted
- 42:27scene on the DV days. That would be hilarious. Trying to dig him
- 42:29out Gabe Caplan and then he crosses my off the list. Then we get
- 42:32Leopold, a very scary man. Your little freaks, this is one substitute
- 42:37you were not screw aweight And as march we come back and Margine introducing yourself,
- 42:44I like him, brackets Bart's mummy on the board and but as unfortunately
- 42:49set up the booby traps. First one is just the thumb tack, just
- 42:51classic. Next one home alone style. Oh yeah, I think I might
- 42:54have actually put like a tech on a teacher's that's fucking so mean. I
- 42:59know. I think you go back at some of the ship you did when
- 43:01you're a kid, and you're like, why did I throw bags of dogs
- 43:05shit at people's houses? Why did I rock roofs wood so our mates through
- 43:10dogshit? That he would we would my I had a mate who would like
- 43:15get the dog shit put into like a hunger jack's bag whatever, like scrunched
- 43:17up so it like wouldn't come out, and just launched one's front door,
- 43:20so just go boom, don't open the front door. Just be a bag
- 43:22of dog shit there. Terrible, Or I just slamming someone's letter box or
- 43:30rocking a roof or whatever. It's like, why did I find that funny
- 43:32little punk little shipthead. So I was the instigator. I was the guy
- 43:37who would just say, I bet you wouldn't throw that rock. Oh really,
- 43:40wait wait, tell them in the bushes, then do it. But
- 43:45yeah, so she shot up bibber traps and as Much says, oh,
- 43:46we've been doing that one since I was a little kid. They get back
- 43:50home and everyone's had a bad day. It's been shipped for ship for Lisa
- 43:52and ship for Marge as well. Exhausting. Took the kids of a forty
- 43:57minutes to locate Canaday, well March. It's hard to find the wagh all
- 44:00the way down there. Lisa then explains Jasper's day and I thought it was
- 44:04hilarious. And the beard in the sharp knot, that's so good, grandpa.
- 44:07Let me just do this well away. They did it just the right
- 44:13amount too, I mean, yeah, three or four, it's three times,
- 44:17but the last one you're almost not expecting it to happen. So what's
- 44:20you gonna do? Exactly like, it's just not learning. But Lisa's worried
- 44:25here. She won't even get into vasa. I've had it up to you
- 44:29here with your vassa bashing young lady. Marge says, regards what you do,
- 44:32but what you say, I will not stop teaching. It's not going
- 44:35to happen. Well, I guess I'll just have to get into the CROs
- 44:37space again. It's just such a random thing. But it's funny beating on
- 44:43the wall. When he gets in there and bangs on the wall, it's
- 44:45classic, classic Simpsons went out at the school in the playground, but says
- 44:50to Marge, look, I need a dollar because because since you've been a
- 44:52subty, all the kids are stealing my lunch money. Ah, here you
- 44:55go, honey, go off with your friends. I thought you would have
- 44:58been a big fan of Kerney's jig. I like this jig and I love
- 45:02my just reaction. That's a very nice chig. It's a very nice chicken.
- 45:06You have that, Katie. But his voice was wrong. I think
- 45:08it was Jimbo's voice. Yeah, it was weird. But Bart realizes here
- 45:14after getting beaten up again, Look, Millhouse, we need to get those
- 45:16teachers back. You know you're right, but but missus Kane's skinning like two
- 45:20positively charged ions. So it's like Wait a minute, Midhouse, with your
- 45:25book smarts and my ability to exploit book smarts, we can come up with
- 45:29a great plan. A surprise party for me in Principal Skinner's office. Well,
- 45:35I don't know, but all right, go to my office. It's
- 45:39highly irregular, but all right, and you're not coming out until you're reaching
- 45:45agreement nor they'll start. Sure, come on, you're going to be very
- 46:14very sorry. I really enjoyed. I feel like that we've had a good
- 46:17time. I like to think they acted it together, Marsha and Harry.
- 46:22You're going to be very very They just they were not impressed being lock in
- 46:28that room, which is very very good. And again it's similar to the
- 46:30Beard line where it was like, Okay, they're stopped. No they're going
- 46:32again. They finally stopped. No they're going again. But yeah, they
- 46:37finally realized, well, we're gonna have to sort this out. What are
- 46:38we going to do? It's like prisons in our own school. Wait a
- 46:43minute, and it cuts to the school basically turned into a prison. Did
- 46:46you notice Willie in the tower? I did. I'll tell you what that
- 46:52was a little a little scared. When the murderer ripped the shirt off and
- 46:59like that would be terrifying. Absolutely just ignore the matter. Then we get
- 47:05Snake before we get the sleep I've actually got here, I go. This
- 47:07is off the the Simpsons archive once again. Snake's prisoner number was seven F
- 47:12two zero, which was the episode code for War of the Simpsons from season
- 47:15two, and the other prisoner's number was two F two to one. The
- 47:19episode Marched the Cop, once Marched the Cop. I think it's Springfield connection.
- 47:24But yeah, so Snake says, hey, kid, get me out
- 47:29of here. I'll totally make it worth you a while, but I am
- 47:30listening. A good way to win, a really funny way to end everything
- 47:36sort of sort of somewhat back to normal. And yeah, it's just as
- 47:39you said, very meme heavy, but just a very solid story from start
- 47:44to finish. It didn't need the size story, just really interesting way of
- 47:47incorporating all of the Springfield residents into one to one episode. I really enjoyed
- 47:52this. I did as well. Yes, I'd pretty much forgotten all about
- 47:55this episode until I rewatch it. For this episode, isn't it Cropean that
- 48:00happens where you go back and you sort of you know the gist of what
- 48:04happens in the episode, but these classic moments that pop up and you go,
- 48:07oh, is this one? Yes? And for me though, because
- 48:08I mean I lived off the Simpsons. The Simpsons is and will forever be
- 48:12my number one show. I was just every day watching The Simpsons obsessed since
- 48:15I started this podcast. It's because I've sort of gone away from that.
- 48:20I don't go back and just watch the episodes for the sake of it.
- 48:22I only really watch the Simpsons now to review it, and I want to
- 48:24go back now and just start watching those other episodes again. Like Nicholas,
- 48:28she watches Friends day and day out. It needs to be me of the
- 48:30Simpsons. I think I need to go back and to start enjoying the Simpsons
- 48:34yeat, and not that I'm not enjoying it now, but watching it without
- 48:37having to review it, just watching it because I'm a fan of the Simpsons.
- 48:38I miss being just a fan of the Simpsons. So I'm looking forward
- 48:42to going back and doing it. I'm actually kind of what am I doing
- 48:44is I wait till Elliott's a bit older and we can watch it together.
- 48:47I can't wait to introduce the Simpsons to to Alliott and relive the show through
- 48:52his eyes again. I just can't wait, very exciting for it. It's
- 48:55very exciting for me as nerdy that sounds. I'm just very excited for that.
- 49:00What do we learn bomb? But what did you learn from the PTA
- 49:04dispands? Mister Davis that there aren't many things that won't earn you a paddling
- 49:08That is apparently true. But is getting a paddle a bad thing? What
- 49:14if it gets you through the night? Man? It depends your padlent true
- 49:19or what you've been paddled with. I have learned that you only make fun
- 49:22of people's ears when they're not listening. Good good life advice a very good
- 49:29life act. Well ess. But that is our review of the PTA Dispands.

- 50:36do anything on there, so I think it's time we start doing some videos.
- 50:38Even if I just wake up like a top ten thing that I just
- 50:40do, like I'll run through my favorite moments or something. There's gonna be

- 51:00Patreon. You guys get first DIBs. I've look at it, and then
- 51:04I'll make it public for the rest of you. Just for another way of
- 51:06showing that we guys that we appreciate everything you guys do for us here at
- 51:09four figure discount. Next month, I'm going to be working up four more
- 51:13random episodes in the group, So make sure we look out for the Facebook
- 51:15group and you guys can vote on the poll which episode we do next month.
- 51:19I was actually surprised the PTA Dispands won this one. I thought it
- 51:22was going to be Burns. Air Burns is there, but I'm yeah.
- 51:24I was glad because I was like, oh cool. I would not have
- 51:28gone back and revisited this episode otherwise. So yes, thank you for voting
- 51:30this one. So look out for the post in the Patreon group in the
- 51:36next week or so for the month of May, and we'll see which episode
- 51:39we review for you guys, which classic episode we review for you guys in
- 51:44May. But for now, I am Dando. This has been a review
