- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hello, listeners, and welcome to the Divine Dialogue Podcast, where we dig deeper into the trove of wisdom and guidance stories have to offer.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: Have you ever watched a movie and felt moved?
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: Felt called to make a change or reflect more deeply on your own life?
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: If so, this podcast has a lot to offer you.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: So, listeners, we have made it to the finale of the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone series, our sixth and final episode.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: We will explore the scene when Harry realizes just how complete he is as he is.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: So for the scene recap, Harry, Ron, and Hermione made it past Devil's Snare.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: If you haven't listened to that episode, it's the one right before this.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: And there's a few other episodes to enjoy as well.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: I highly recommend you check those out.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Definitely listen to Mirror of Erisid Part one if you haven't, because it's going to connect to this episode.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: So essentially, Harry is descending the stairs in the belly of the castle, expecting to confront Professor Snape and stop him from stealing the stone.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: His scar burns.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: But he sees Professor Quarrel instead, standing before the mirror of Aracid.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: They exchange some words, and Quarrell demands Harry come to the mirror to tell him what he sees.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: Harry looks into the mirror and sees his reflection move on its own.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: His reflection pulls the sorcerer's stone out of his pocket, winks at him, and places it back in his pocket.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: Then Harry feels the stone actually appear in his own pocket when he places his fingers over his pocket and feels the stone in there.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: So for the soul meaning, divine listeners, as we know from part one of the mirror of Aracid, the mirror does not show the truth when you believe you are lacking.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: It shows us what we think we are lacking.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: So that's really crucial because as I said before, it's not true that you lack, it's just it shows you what you forgot.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: You know, that's what it does.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: And the irony is, you know, the mirror does show the truth when you realize the truth that you truly lack nothing.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: That sounds like a mess.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: I apologize.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: Um So it does the truth is when you just see yourself, that's the actual truth.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: That's the clear truth, that's the reflection with no with no forgetting, basically.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: And Dumbledore had said this to Harry.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: The happiest man on earth would look into the mirror and see only himself exactly as he is.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: So when Quirl says, Tell me what do you see, and we hear the Harry Potter theme, and Harry looks at his own reflection move, he sees himself take the stone out of his pocket.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: The mirror is essentially showing him the truth of his inner world.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: And this scene in particular probably moves me more than any, especially when we pan over to the mirror and the theme starts, and you know, it's this magical theme, and then we we see Harry look into the mirror, and then his what I would say is his divine self, his soul, his higher self, whatever you want to call it, you know, pulls the stone out of his pocket, winks, and puts it back, and then he has it on the other side of the reflection.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: It's just it's so it's such a beautiful scene to explain because the stone represents, you know, immortality and being able to alchemize everything into gold, basically.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: And Harry has achieved this energetically.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: He knows that he is much more than just the reflection of his parents.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: That's what he was stuck on before, and he knows that he can alchemize that longing into the real physical world he's in because he's taken that lack and he's basically transferred it to finding the real connections around him.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Like he's got Hermione, he's got Ron, he's got Hagrid, the Weasleys essentially become his parents, you know, the parents he never had.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: And the mirror is just showing him the truth of his inner world, like as he is in the moment.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: And again, it's so fascinating because you know, he had just been through a lot of trials.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: He's been through trials the whole movie, but he just faced Fluffy, he faced Devil's Snare, he had to capture the key on the on the broom, they had to get through the chessboard.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: So he's been through he's had a day, he's had a day, and the mirror is showing him still you are complete, because he has integrated that lack.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: And he realized, you know, albeit painfully and with practice, returning to himself, that he was complete.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: And the stone is not a reward for this knowing, it's simply a reflection of this knowing.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: And that is really what separates him from Voldemort, because Voldemort, I think, believes that through force, through power, through, you know, essentially bending reality to his will, that the stone is his prize for doing that.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Like, oh, he's, you know, figured out a way to achieve it, and so it's his.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: And I really think the stone is brilliantly symbolic in that it's it is a reflection, it's not a reward.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: It's this is what you receive when you know.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: And that I think is the brilliance of Dumbledore because he says later that only a person who would want to find the stone, find it but not use it, would be able to get it.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Now, I don't particularly love the word choice there because I think it misses some of the deeper stuff.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: But as far as using the stone, he had that right.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: It was, I'm not gonna let Voldemort use the stone.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: But find the stone, I guess you could say, like, find the stone within, because the stone just represents, like I said, immortality and being able to alchemize.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: And Harry has essentially been able to alchemize.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: And later in the series, he does even achieve immortality when he chooses to come back.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: So that was kind of a prelude to that, albeit very early in the series.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: But, you know, when Hermione references the stone, she talks about the alchemy and the immortality, and that's why Voldemort wants it, you know, because he wants to possess immortality, he wants to possess its power.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: And Harry seeing himself pull the stone out of his pocket, he's alchemized his grief.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: He's healed the belief that connection and fulfillment could only come from his parents.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: And as far as the immortal part goes, and I think, you know, we kind of depart completely from the understanding of the mind when we talk about this.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: And as much of a writer as I am, I can't put this into words, which is very frustrating.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: I don't think the mind can conceptualize immortality.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: But I do think that in this scene, when Harry winks at himself, that's essentially his inner spark in him winking back.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: And I think that's that inner spark that never dies.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: That's that inner spark that's regulating because it doesn't end.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: And that's that's I think what can give you regulation.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: That's what can give you a sense of all-rightness and a sense of completeness is that inner spark, that inner being, that higher self, the soul, whatever you want to call it.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: I don't think it cares what name you give it, whatever resonates with you, I would just call it that.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: But it's essentially telling him that there's something eternal about you.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: You are not just this body, you are infinitely more magical than that, which is why seeing yourself exactly as you are lands so deeply.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: And, you know, we know, even we haven't seen this literally yet in the series, but we know that his parents live on, especially his mother, is is brought up his mother's love, like we see that later, not too far ahead in the scene after the mirror, where Harry fends off quarrel with just his hands, because his mother's love is still uh within him, and so it's like her she still lives on through him.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: And you know, Sirius talks about how people are always you know with us, and we actually see his parents in the Goblet of Fire, they come to his aid.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: So I think that's what that's touching on there.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: And, you know, in the Deathly Hollows, Harry accepts this death, but he doesn't die, he goes on.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I really also wanted to take the time to explain what I think is essentially the power of dual temptation that the mirror has in our lives, because I've felt this very profoundly, and we're gonna get into a very deep and I think exceptionally meaningful personal mirror later that I experienced very recently that I wanted to share in this episode, but to kind of break down more of the soul meaning first.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: I really do think that the first of these dual temptations is feasting.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: So essentially when the mirror glows, when what is externally based as lack comes into your energy space, the first temptation is to climb into the glowing mirror and live within the illusion.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: To essentially let the part of you that has forgotten who you are become bigger than the whole of you.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: Because, and I really think this is so crucial to understand, this part of you is in immense pain because somewhere along the way it got fragmented from the whole.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: That's why it's showing up in the mirror.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: That's why you're seeing it as separate, it's separated from you.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: It was given a job it never should have been given.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: And when the mirror glows, when you're in this feast temptation, when you get the external dose of affirmation or validation, that part feels like it did its job well.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: But the relief is so temporary.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: You know, the high, the intoxication, because that's what it feels like, is very fragile, just like the glass of the mirror.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: And before too long, the glowing mirror becomes dark, which I would say is the second temptation is famine.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: So we have feast and we have famine.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: We have duality, we have polarity, and they both strengthen it, strengthen each other.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like what I alluded to in the last episode with anxiety when you fight, when you resist, it persists.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: That's that's a polarity, that's a duality.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: Working together in the mirror, this is feast and famine.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: So there's this feeling of I must sit before the mirror and beg for that external power source to return.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: As if leaving the mirror will mean you miss out on the return.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: But what you're really missing out on is your own life.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: Because we talked about this in part one, that the mirror is a mirage.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: It looks lifelike, but it's not real.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: It's tricking you into abandoning reality and the present moment.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: And when you abandon the present moment, it comes with a lot of fear and dread and torments because essentially you are outsourcing your soul.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: You're forgetting that the sustenance you need to feel alive is already inside.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: The mirror was never meant to be something you sit before, letting it drain your life force.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: It was meant to be a quick look at what you keep forgetting and then to go and live.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: As Dumbledore says, do not dwell on dreams and forget to live.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: Yes, don't forget to live.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: And Voldemort tempts Harry with the glowing part of the mirror, which I think is actually the harder of the two to walk away from.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: If you have to pick, I would suggest you walk out in the famine, because the feast, if you are really addicted to whatever that is that you really think is bigger than you, it's very hard to resist the glowing part.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: But Harry walked away before, because Dumbledore got to him, which is what I would essentially say is divine feminine wisdom, got a hold of him before the mirror really grabbed hold of his mind.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: But Voldemort does tempt Harry with the glowing part of the mirror because he says, Together we can bring them back.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: He brings up his mother and his father in the mirror.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: And if you notice in the scene, if you watch it, Harry's reflection is a shadow while he's considering this.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: He's like a dark shadow in the mirror.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: And Voldemort is tempting Harry with the same temptation we see every single day, which is giving up what truly matters, which is your inner peace, your power, and your wholeness for external power and rewards.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: And like I said before, it doesn't really matter what this external power is.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: I talked about how, you know, a lot of us would be a lot more sympathetic to Harry because he's he's missing connection.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: And like Ron's reflection is very shallow.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: He wants to be head boy and a Quidditch champion, and he wants accolades.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: So we we kind of would be like, well, Ron's is really shallow, and Harry's is understandable, and I agree.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: But the point is that if you give into the mirror, the mirror, like the energy of Lack doesn't care what it is that makes you separate from your divinity.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: You're just separated from it, so it doesn't really matter.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: But it's a lie, you know, that that you can it's a lie to give up, you know, your actual power for this external power.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: And I mean, you know, we see Voldemort is not even he has to share a body with Quarrel.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: So obviously, this pursuit of what he's tempting Harry with is not good because he's in a really bad state.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: He's a phantom, he's a ghost, he is so weak.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: And it's really fueled by, you know, this temptation, this lie that he presents to Harry is, I think, fueled by pain and a misunderstanding of how parts of you are braided together.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: Because I think we all have parts, and I'll be talking about parts throughout this podcast as it is relevant to what I'm talking about, but when I do so, I'm essentially blending spiritual ideas with IFS or internal family systems.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: And I do want to be clear before I start this part, this part, that I am not trained in psychology, but I have studied quite a bit of it.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: I've been in therapy for a long time, and I believe I have a doctorate level of life experience and understanding how all of this fits together.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Because I have created many parts, and I think parts are created for survival at some point.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: And so I just wanted to kind of touch on this because we're gonna talk about parts, you know, on several movies, because I think that some of the heroes and even villains you can see very clear parts here.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: But in this scene, you know, Harry touches the stone, he holds it, and the stone does not vanish.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: It doesn't say because when when Dumbledore or when Doubledore, when Voldemort is tempting Harry with this connection with his parents, Harry is a little bit off-center.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: He's not as centered as he was when he looked in the mirror and pulled the stone out of his pocket with his reflection winking at him.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: He's considering this, and the stone does not vanish, but this is his part coming up.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: This is his part of you know, thinking that he needs his parents to feel whole.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: So his part is being triggered by this offer.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: And the stone doesn't vanish, it doesn't say, because you doubt, because you are concerned, because you are tempted, I will leave you.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: It stays.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: It's like the white wolf in Balto.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: The stone and the wolf are both symbols of divine feminine energy, both reminders of your internal power.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: And like I said in the previous series, I really think that this energy is so loving and so compassionate and so patient that it doesn't get upset because you have a moment where you wobble.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: The thing is, and I think this is very important to understand if you're on a spiritual journey, you're gonna wobble all the time.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: Wobbling is inevitable.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: Trying to not wobble is a trick of perfectionism.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: You're going to wobble.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: The important thing is that you return every time or as many times as you can, and that you get faster at returning, but not faster because you need to be impatient, just faster because it becomes more practiced.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: But essentially, the stone and the wolf are both symbols of the divine feminine energy, both are reminders of your internal power.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: In Balto's case, he probably would have seen himself as only a dog in the mirror because he had rejected part of himself and was seeking the external validation of the town.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: So he wouldn't have seen himself.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: He would have seen whatever a dog version of him looked like.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: And in Harry's case, he felt so lonesome for familial love.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: But by the end of the movie, we see Harry has made some very loving and fulfilling connections.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: You know, he has, and this is something he couldn't have had if he would have stayed in front of the mirror, which is why Dumbledore came to warn him and lovingly guide him away from it.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: It wasn't a condemnation, it wasn't a judgment, it was he approached him with curiosity and then he gave him some wisdom, some soul medicine to encourage him to live.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: So Harry has friends, he has Hagrid and Dumbledore, he has found a place on the Quidditch team.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: Yes, he has to go back to the place where the seed of lack was planted, which is Privet Drive with the Dursleys, where the external voices of mean-spirited people try to dampen his soul.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: But now he has the knowing that the stone was always in his pocket.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: His ability to alchemize loneliness into love, his ability to turn a lead weight into gold is his and always was.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: And that's why I think that the mirror is profound.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: I get I'm getting chills talking right now about it.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: It is one of my favorite scenes in the entire series, and I find it exceptionally impressive.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: I might have mentioned this in the first part, but I'm gonna mention it again because I think it's impressive, that this is the first of the Harry Potter movies.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: And normally first movies are foundational.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: You know, it's it doesn't really go deep because it's establishing characters and you know the the groundwork, the framework of the story.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: And I think it's very impressive that because to me, this is if not the best, one of the best.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: And it's in the first movie.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: So and it's in there twice.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: And, you know, the the full circle moment I just think is is so beautiful.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: But since we are in part two of the mirror of Eric, I thought it was also very divinely comical that I have a personal mirror of my podcast, because it's literally we're talking about a mirror.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: So, like I said, this scene means more to me than probably any other close seconds and thirds are probably when Harry casts the Patronus at the lake in the prisoner of Azcaban, and when he faces Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest in Deathly Hollows, which we will get to at a later date, probably way in the future, because I do have content planned for pretty much the rest of this year.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: So we will see when we circle back to it.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: I have no idea when I will.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: I'm kind of just following, you know, again, the divine impulse of this podcast.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: So we will see what happens.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: But the reason this means so much to me is because we all experience deeply painful moments or extended periods of our lives in lack, and our mind takes off so easily down a path of lack, and we forget so much that we start to believe we really are deficient.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: And everyone sees something different, which is what makes the mirror so revealing, but also very dangerous if you don't see the lesson it is trying to reveal.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: The mirror's use is not to keep you locked in a cycle of fantasy, it is to show you that the fantasy is the lack itself.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: For me, this shows up very potently, as we discussed in part one, as longing for a romantic partner for a woman by my side, and I've had this since I was in my twenties.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: I'm in my mid-30s now.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: It's still what I would see on my worst day because I do long for that connection so much.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: It's where my passion naturally pours.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: But like Harry, there are so many other riverbeds where grooves can develop.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: Passion or even energy itself should not go through just one channel.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: I like to think of it like the blood network in our nervous system.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: You know, there are veins going everywhere to ensure all of the body receives life force through blood.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: Your energy should work the same way.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: There should be a vein for nutrition, for finances, for fitness, for love, for creativity, for rest and relaxation, for exploration.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: Many grooves, many channels, many avenues.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: And I think funneling it all into one creates such an imbalance and puts too much pressure on one channel to hold all that you are.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: I really believe that we are creators and we are so much more than your lack would make you think.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: And that's what the mirror reminds me of.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: And divine listeners, I had a very, very cosmic experience of the mirror of Ira said just this past week.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: I didn't have this in my draft until moments ago.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: I found it also divinely just amazing that it would show up when I was ready to record this episode because it's literally a personal mirror that I see the blessing in.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: And so I'm kind of speechless actually.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: That's why I wrote it all down because I, you know.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: In awe.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: There's no other way to phrase it.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: But for those of you new to the podcast, I've talked before about my altar and how I have the sorcerer's stone on it.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: And it is part of a triangle on my altar.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: So I have three symbols that mean a lot to me.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: That's one of them.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: The sorcerer's stone sits at one point.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: The other two points belong to Yoda from Star Wars, which represents presence, and a lion figurine representing remembrance from the Lion King.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: Which, since this is the last episode of Harry Potter, Lion King is where we will where we will be going next.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: So I think that's going to be a five or six episode series, but just so you know, that's where we're going after I wrap up Harry Potter here today.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: So for the moment I had, that is my very deep personal mirror for this scene.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: It had been a particularly painful recent few days for me.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: So I had started having feelings for this woman.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: She stirred me on all levels.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: And as I'm talking about this, I'm still processing that.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: It's still fresh.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: But I did end up confessing my feelings rather clumsily, not as gracefully as I would have liked.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: And alas, it is sad to say, unrequited love.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: And then the very next day, my ex, a woman I still love very much as a friend and always will, called me because she needed help.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: I had mentioned last episode about body first regulation.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: I had been practicing regulation, and I feel like I can say I have a map for it now.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: I know my way back.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: But when she called, first of all, I was very surprised to hear from her because we hadn't talked in a while, and I suspected it was necessary for her to call because she doesn't like to ask for help.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: And I never had such a lovingly cosmic lesson presented to me, probably in my life.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: I had talked before about how when I looked in the mirror, like I said, I would see a beautiful woman beside me.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: So I was feeling that lack because the hope I had for this absolutely amazing woman had to be grieved, which I'm still processing.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: But she was essentially a future mirror.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: So the resonance I was looking for as I've grown and changed because I feel like I'm evolving so much, it just felt like she matched that frequency.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: And there were so many synchronicities, private synchronicities that she isn't even aware of, but that I really saw as signs.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: And I'm seeing now that they were signs that were pointing me towards the resonance that I'm looking for.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: Not necessarily that she was it, but that that's that's the energy that I want.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: But anyway, so she was the future mirror, my ex was a past mirror, and I was looking into the mirror of Irased and still seeing that lack.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: Now, the old me would have thought, because my ex called at such an uncanny time in relation to the unrequited love event, oh, go back with her.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: It's a sign.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: That's what I would have done pre-healing, but that wasn't even an impulse in me.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: It was like I had such grounded clarity.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: I could feel all of it.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: I was and still am heartbroken over this unrequited love, but I also didn't feel the urge to pour that wanting and desire into someone else.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: That was a pattern I used to have.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: I would relationship hop in my 20s all the time.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: If one relationship ended, I would start another one.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: And I didn't really grieve the heartbreaks, so I had heartbreak debt that I had to essentially pay back.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: And I've been doing, I've been working on that for a while.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: But you know, that would be that would have been my pattern pretty much without thinking about it.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: But with my ex when she called me, I also didn't feel guilty into helping.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: I just wanted to help her because I just love her very much, and I could help, so I did.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: And as I was driving, I was crying, and I would say, we know not to text and drive, but don't cry and drive if you can help it, listeners.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm a good driver.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: I've played a lot of Mario Kart, but I don't recommend doing that.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: And you know, I could see, but I was crying a lot because I was overwhelmed, you know, I hadn't talked to her in a while, and I know that she's she's struggled, she's struggling more from our breakup than I am at this point.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: It's been long enough for me that and I and I have a lot of peace about why it didn't work, but she's also going through a lot of other stuff, and so you know, but I was crying for multiple reasons, you know.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: I was crying because I heard from her, I was crying because I'm still processing these feelings for another woman that I thought might be the one that I thought resonated romantically, but she wasn't.
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: And I do hope over time that we can continue the friendship because she's such a beautiful soul.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: But I wanted to share that little story with you because I think I finally was able to not collapse into either mirror.
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: I think I had reclaimed the last pieces of myself because it was the mirror of the past or the mirror of the hoped-for future.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: And I was able to sit in the center of that triangle essentially that is representative of on my altar, in the middle of the stone, the lion, and Yoda, in the middle of wholeness, remembrance, and presence.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: I was present enough to remember that I was whole.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: And that's where those three points came together for me recently.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: And I was still able to feel it all.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: And that's the thing, listeners, that I think is essential for this personal mirror.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: Being spiritual doesn't mean you cut off part of your emotional wheel.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: It means you feel it all with this divine sense of peace underneath it.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: I haven't been pining over the woman I wanted to be in my future in that way, and I didn't collapse into the woman I still love very much in my past, but I know I'm not meant to be with.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: I stayed in my center and felt both reflections.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: I was still able to take loving action to help someone I love, but it wasn't to fix things, which was a very dysregulated masculine tendency I had to take action to fix things.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: It wasn't out of guilt, it was just from my regulated still state.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: That's the feminine stillness blended with masculine action from love in real time with a floor of peace underneath it.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Not fear, not obligation, not guilt, just love.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: And as we close out the Sorcerer Stone series, I just wanted to share that with you because after I went home that day, I cried so much.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: But it was tears of gratitude that I could see the loving lesson, the cosmic loving lesson.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: The yes, Jess, your mirror of Iraced tends to show a woman a woman beside you.
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: And I know that hurts, but you are more than that.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: You can stay in wholeness and presence and remembrance and still feel it all.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: And I say to you, divine listeners, this power is yours too.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: Please take this with you as we close out this wonderful first Harry Potter movie.
- 29:35SPEAKER_00: Whatever the mirror is showing you with its dual temptation of glowing and darkness or of past and future, it is not bigger than you.
- 29:45SPEAKER_00: The mirror wouldn't even show a reflection on its own.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: It is taking what is most tender to you and reflecting it to help you remember.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: Once you remember, it has done its job.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: And then you can see the stone that was always there in your pocket.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: And there's no shame in seeing something other than yourself sometimes.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: We all do.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: The point is to return to your divinity faster, deeper, and more lasting each time.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: It's a lifetime of work, it's not something you're ever going to master, it is not something to be perfected or achieved.
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: The mirror will always be there.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: Keep in mind that this world is full of external temptation, and I think that this world is built fundamentally on external power.
- 30:30SPEAKER_00: So there is a very strong gravitational field always pulling you towards this.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: You're not crazy for feeling it.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: It's there, it's real.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: But your soul, your divine spark, is still stronger than all of that.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: I really believe it.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: And to feel that, you have to remember.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: You have to look in the mirror, see the lack, recognize it for what it is, and then go live.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: Do not dwell on dreams and forget to live.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: So, divine listeners, that was a heavy episode.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: And we still have the divine dialogue questions to get through, which I have, let's see here, six for you today.
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: So, what would you see standing in the mirror today?
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: Has it changed over the years?
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: What can you do now that would remind you that there is so much more than just what you would see?
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: What are you being tempted by with the glowing mirror?
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: And where are you sitting before the dark mirror, waiting for something outside of you to return to make you feel alive?
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: Where are you being invited to sit in the center, feel it all, and still remember who you are?
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: So those are huge questions.
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: But I think, you know, a really good indicator to answer these is when sitting in sitting beside or in front of the mirror, looking at the reflection, if that becomes an obsession, that's a good sign that you are starting to be eclipsed by a part of you that is not evil, it's not bad, it's just scared.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: It is a part going back to the IFS reference that was fragmented at some point.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: Something happened that made it forget it was part of the whole.
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: Because your parts are essential, they they just need to be reclaimed.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: So don't banish it, just welcome it back in, reassign it, you know.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: It's it's showing you an old program.
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: When you whatever you see in the mirror is is probably your most wounded part, I would say is a way to look at it in IFS terms.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: It's it's the part that needs to return the most.
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: So that's what I would say about the divine dialogue questions, and I would be very curious to hear your answers to them if you'd like to share.
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: But I just want to thank you, divine listeners, for tuning in to the sixth episode of the Divine Dialogue podcast on the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone series.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: We are going to leave this one here.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: We have concluded the first Harry Potter film, and as I said before, next Friday we will be jumping into the Lion King.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: I will be covering the 1994 animated version, though I do appreciate the live action as well, even though technically none of the movie was live action.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: All CGI, but you know, Lion King has always been one of my favorite Disney movies, so I still liked it.
- 33:28SPEAKER_00: I actually did like the Hakuna Matata version of that one a little bit more.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: I just I kind of like the instruments and also the the battle scene at the end with Scar.
- 33:37SPEAKER_00: I love the drums they put in there, so I kind of I liked certain things, but I would also say, to be fair, no one can voice Scar better than Jeremy Irons, so you know, that's just how it is.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: He really can't be replaced.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: It's like James Earl Jones.
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: You know, you can't really replace that voice.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: It's a very special voice.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: But yeah, we will be jumping into the Lion King, the animated version, and we will lead into essentially the first ever special episode on the Divine Dialogue podcast.
- 34:07SPEAKER_00: Like I said, way back, I don't remember what episode I mentioned this, but I did say that I was going to drop special episodes when inspiration presented itself and the Lion King.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: There will be a point in the series where there will be a special episode.
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: And I want to say the way I have it planned, I don't have my calendar in front of me.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: I think it's gonna be like a typical episode will drop on Friday, but I think there's gonna be an episode on Thursday, one of those weeks, when we get into the Lion King.
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: And that will lead us into, you know, essentially close to the Halloween season, and I do have content planned for that.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: That's, you know, in rhythm with the season, so I'm very excited for all the upcoming content I have planned.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: But as we close out, Harry Potter, until next time, remember that you are enough as you are.
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: The mirror is a gift to show you what you have forgotten, not a way to chase the ghost of lack.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: The stone was always in your pocket.
- 35:08SPEAKER_00: You just have to remember.
- 35:10SPEAKER_00: And with that, divine listeners, thank you so much for tuning in.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: Please share this with someone who needs to hear it or anybody that you think would be interested.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: Please comment and subscribe and like and follow me on my socials in the show notes.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: And I will see you next Friday.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: Thank you as always for tuning in.
