Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Let me ask you a question, because I know not
- 0:01Speaker 1: only are your entrepreneur, but you're really getting the politics.
- 0:05Speaker 2: I don't want to be. That was the segue.
- 0:09Speaker 3: That was the sailing because what you just said is
- 0:11Speaker 3: what you said about the president. Now, like I don't
- 0:13Speaker 3: have to like him or even vote for him, but
- 0:15Speaker 3: if he does something that helps my community, I should
- 0:17Speaker 3: take advantage of that.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Because I'm taking advantage, taking advantage of everything I'm telling.
- 0:20Speaker 4: But that's every president. Yeah, that ain't this president. Now
- 0:23Speaker 4: that there has been no president that has been for
- 0:27Speaker 4: the black.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Community to take that, Yeah, that's the fact.
- 0:31Speaker 4: That's that has been no president that has been for
- 0:35Speaker 4: the black community. But if your policy affects the black
- 0:40Speaker 4: community in a positive way, which can affect the greater community,
- 0:44Speaker 4: I have to pay you some attention. Is that if
- 0:46Speaker 4: I have to pay you something, you don't take Obamas
- 0:48Speaker 4: for No. I'm clear of what I say and how
- 0:54Speaker 4: I say. There has been no president that's for the
- 0:58Speaker 4: black community. But if that president playing in any way
- 1:03Speaker 4: or policy helps the black community, I'm for that thing.
- 1:08Speaker 2: You get what I'm saying.
- 1:09Speaker 4: I rate all us presidents at about a CE different
- 1:15Speaker 4: variations from a C minus down into the d's too.
- 1:18Speaker 4: You know, when you start off with slave masters at
- 1:20Speaker 4: presidents that's a really funky comment. So you have to
- 1:25Speaker 4: spend your life as a person of color reconciling the
- 1:28Speaker 4: fact that the dollars that in your pocket, the dead men,
- 1:30Speaker 4: the slave masters that are only that that that give
- 1:32Speaker 4: you worth and value to the things you're doing own people,
- 1:35Speaker 4: and that wealth is something. So you know, when we
- 1:37Speaker 4: get walk, when we get mad, we want to castigate
- 1:40Speaker 4: rappers and then are tinners and chit yill right, thank your.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Money you have there to do, japs though you're twenty
- 1:44Speaker 2: dollar bill.
- 1:44Speaker 4: That you're tipping the stripper with genocide on people that
- 1:48Speaker 4: were from Middle of America and that were red and were.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Here before you got here.
- 1:52Speaker 4: So you're passing a genocidal bill to pay for your
- 1:54Speaker 4: Sarah and your your need to get grinded off.
- 1:57Speaker 2: And you've never.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Chastised yourself enough to say, I'll only pay my PayPal
- 2:01Speaker 4: because our vote or greenwood.
- 2:07Speaker 2: So I'm by the way.
- 2:09Speaker 4: You know what, you know, man, it matters of money.
- 2:13Speaker 4: We had better learn that we're going to have to
- 2:16Speaker 4: pack some emotion to the side to accomplish specific dolls
- 2:20Speaker 4: from a monetary standpoint, so that we can take care
- 2:23Speaker 4: of ourselves because no one's coming to savings, nothing's coming
- 2:27Speaker 4: out of sky to save us. Karma, although it's a
- 2:31Speaker 4: nice concept. Evil people live longer and they seem to
- 2:34Speaker 4: be happier. George Bushton down he was ninety middle something.
- 2:39Speaker 1: So but you were, you were supporting Bernie Sanders. Absolutely,
- 2:42Speaker 1: so you work, you have progressive I guess liberal views.
- 2:48Speaker 4: If if voting for Bernie Sanders takes my taxes up
- 2:53Speaker 4: out of the forties into the fifties, just as succeed
- 2:57Speaker 4: takes care of the next twenty five to thirty years
- 3:00Speaker 4: of Americans in terms of education, health care, trade that
- 3:04Speaker 4: trade and college education and basics and and extensive health care,
- 3:09Speaker 4: and provide social programs that grow us as a country.
- 3:12Speaker 4: I have no aversion to supporting it, and in fact,
- 3:16Speaker 4: I think that much of his policy has been raped, robbed,
- 3:19Speaker 4: and looted by both parties at this point, versus us
- 3:23Speaker 4: getting behind the person who wanted to give us everything
- 3:26Speaker 4: we would have needed during this pandemic, including some type
- 3:29Speaker 4: of universal income, including some type of health care that
- 3:33Speaker 4: was universal leading toward it, including decriminalization of marijuana, including
- 3:38Speaker 4: a federal task force that would have dealt with Row
- 3:40Speaker 4: Police House, including all these seas that would have affected us.
- 3:43Speaker 4: But because we didn't do it, because we didn't go
- 3:46Speaker 4: that move, or because we got robbed of it, or whatever,
- 3:48Speaker 4: the theory is being, you gotta you know, you gotta
- 3:50Speaker 4: do with what you got, and you better master your coin,
- 3:53Speaker 4: you know, because we're we're in a system where as
- 3:55Speaker 4: much as they want to say they care like Vernion,
- 3:57Speaker 4: they don't. And if you're not going to allow me
- 4:01Speaker 4: to pay my ten or fifteen extra to let someone
- 4:04Speaker 4: like he'll eat the way, don't get mad. And I'm
- 4:06Speaker 4: gonna try to keep an extra ten of fifteen percent
- 4:09Speaker 4: and figure out who the fuck trump tax.
- 4:15Speaker 2: But I you know I didn't. I didn't vote for
- 4:18Speaker 2: the evil person. I wanted that, Ernests, What's up?

- 5:31Speaker 5: to you by P and C Bank. A lot of
- 5:33Speaker 5: people think podcasts about work are boring, and sure, they
- 5:37Speaker 5: definitely can be, but understanding a professional's routine shows us
- 5:40Speaker 5: how they achieve their success little by little, day after day.
- 5:45Speaker 5: It's like banking with P and C Bank. It might
- 5:48Speaker 5: seem boring to save, plan and make calculated decisions with
- 5:51Speaker 5: your bank, but keeping your money boring is what helps
- 5:54Speaker 5: you live or more happily fulfilled life. P and C
- 5:57Speaker 5: Bank Brilliantly Boring since eighteen sixty five. Brilliantly Boring since
- 6:02Speaker 5: eighteen sixty five is a service mark of the P
- 6:05Speaker 5: and C Financial Service Group, Inc. P and C Bank
- 6:08Speaker 5: National Association Member FDIC.
- 6:12Speaker 3: I want to go back to I want to go
- 6:14Speaker 3: back to Greenwood for a second, because a lot of times,
- 6:16Speaker 3: and even in the book, it dies into the fact
- 6:19Speaker 3: of black banks being put in neighborhoods right where deposits
- 6:24Speaker 3: weren't coming in at a frequent rate, and so they
- 6:26Speaker 3: had to charge higher interest rates when they weren't loaning
- 6:28Speaker 3: out money because most of people don't really understand how
- 6:30Speaker 3: banks make money.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Yeah, the lows right.
- 6:33Speaker 3: So my thing is like, is Greenwood is there going
- 6:36Speaker 3: to be similar how other interest rates are going to
- 6:38Speaker 3: be competing with the big banks?
- 6:39Speaker 4: So that the first first versus deposits saving. So it's steps,
- 6:45Speaker 4: this is where we are first. First, the goal is
- 6:47Speaker 4: to wipe out check fashion, to wipe out the main
- 6:53Speaker 4: the main parasites in poor and working class people fly.
- 6:57Speaker 4: So you know, people here saved twenty forty bus sound
- 7:00Speaker 4: like much to them, But when you're talking about now
- 7:03Speaker 4: you can save ten percent of your income, what about
- 7:06Speaker 4: let person gets to raise and get five on your
- 7:07Speaker 4: thousand on. Now you're saving more money. So that is
- 7:10Speaker 4: the attack, and the next phase is in loans and
- 7:13Speaker 4: home ownership, automobile.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Ownership, and in the phase after that.
- 7:16Speaker 4: So I like the fact that Ryan is, unlike in
- 7:19Speaker 4: the past, is not trying to do everything himself at
- 7:22Speaker 4: the same time as much as he's seeking And they're
- 7:25Speaker 4: talking to allies at this moment realizing who are they
- 7:28Speaker 4: going to get into business with in terms of partnering
- 7:30Speaker 4: with larger institutions that recover, who are the institutions that
- 7:33Speaker 4: your money is actually going to be sitting with, and
- 7:35Speaker 4: as a platform, what they can do to reduce the
- 7:37Speaker 4: even cost of you, help you become more financially literate, help.
- 7:40Speaker 3: You to save and something. And that's the first step.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Eradicate the check cash. Yes, pushing the back of the
- 7:44Speaker 3: day was also the sofone store.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Absolutely, that's level.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Then we got the deposits and loans, and so I
- 7:52Speaker 3: guess the next the last things would be business loans.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Small business loans. Yeah what small man.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Now, I don't think that's the last stage. I just
- 7:58Speaker 4: think that I just think that if you're going to
- 8:00Speaker 4: run nine miles. Plot out your first three, then plot
- 8:02Speaker 4: out your next three, and then your final three. Right,
- 8:04Speaker 4: So let's just say those are the first three miles. Yeah,
- 8:07Speaker 4: and I saw I wrestling.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Where Ryan said, like, I think fifty percent of black businesses, Oh,
- 8:13Speaker 1: black businesses get loans at fifty percent lower rate white businesses.
- 8:17Speaker 4: I think it's we're returned, yeah, at fifty percent lower rates.
- 8:20Speaker 4: We're also denied in comparable application. We're denied twenty one
- 8:24Speaker 4: percent of the time in white's on eight.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Okay, So, and so I'm assuming that's something that you
- 8:28Speaker 1: guys will be trying to eradicate.
- 8:31Speaker 4: As far as with Greenswood, there's definitely going to be
- 8:33Speaker 4: you know, Greenwood is not Superman, doesn't come in the
- 8:35Speaker 4: same What it is is a part of the Avengures.
- 8:38Speaker 4: It's a part of alternative ways now for us to
- 8:42Speaker 4: take control around dollars. And that's everything from a new
- 8:45Speaker 4: black credit union that's popping up. It's everything from the
- 8:48Speaker 4: traditional black banks that are already in the market, whether
- 8:50Speaker 4: it be Citizens Trust or Carver or One United, and
- 8:53Speaker 4: that's new platform and fintech like Greenwood. You know, I'm
- 8:56Speaker 4: an advocate for you know, if you want to if
- 8:59Speaker 4: you want to get the freedom, take a whole lot
- 9:01Speaker 4: of buses, you know, don't depend on everyone going in
- 9:05Speaker 4: one bus, you know what I'm saying. And he even
- 9:07Speaker 4: told me and Ryan don't travel together, you know what
- 9:10Speaker 4: I mean. He's just like what you guys are doing
- 9:12Speaker 4: is that, See don't even travel together. Because if freedom
- 9:15Speaker 4: is the objective, there may be slightly different variations up,
- 9:19Speaker 4: but we'll get there even if it's not at the
- 9:21Speaker 4: same time. But I think we need a lot of
- 9:23Speaker 4: pistons firing and an engine, not just one, and we
- 9:25Speaker 4: have to we have to begin to end. I would
- 9:30Speaker 4: want or or need to critique or overly criticize based
- 9:35Speaker 4: on a cast failure.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Because the failure is something you learned from that, and
- 9:38Speaker 2: that's the part.
- 9:39Speaker 3: It was like if people understood their relationship with the money,
- 9:43Speaker 3: they would understand. It's like if my iPhone breaks, I
- 9:46Speaker 3: don't say I'm never using Apple. I'm just gonna get
- 9:48Speaker 3: another iPhone, you know what I mean. But if we like,
- 9:50Speaker 3: and I bank with citizens or shout out to citizens,
- 9:52Speaker 3: but if they like, if they mess up with deposit,
- 9:56Speaker 3: It's not like y'all never banking with them again.
- 9:57Speaker 2: I'm gonna give them the same thing. We gotta get it fixed.
- 10:00Speaker 4: And again that's why I tell people like one day
- 10:01Speaker 4: as a leader, which I wasn't even in the in
- 10:04Speaker 4: the space to be, but they pay another people like
- 10:06Speaker 4: that black women to make you leave.
- 10:09Speaker 2: But you know, I'm gonna say my bad, I fucked
- 10:12Speaker 4: Up my graduates from my school being force back drop
- 10:18Speaker 4: back drop, Mike drop, back drop drop
