  Stefan,
• 2:51
  good

  evening.
• 2:53
  Good
• 2:53
  evening.
• 2:53
  Thanks
• 2:54
  for
• 2:54
  having
• 2:54
  me.
• 2:54
  Lovely
• 2:55
  to

  you

• 2:56
  Great
• 2:56
  to
• 2:56
  have
• 2:56
  you.
• 2:57
  Now,
• 2:57
  when
• 2:58
  you
• 2:58
  were
• 2:58
  a
• 2:58
  kid,
• 2:58
  Stephan,
• 2:59
  who
• 2:59
  were
• 3:00
  your
• 3:00
  favorite
• 3:00
  players
• 3:01
  and
• 3:01
  teams
• 3:01
  while
• 3:02
  you
• 3:02
  were
• 3:02
  growing
• 3:02
  up
• 3:02
  in
• 3:03
  Canada?
• 3:04
  There
• 3:04
  was
• 3:04
  two
• 3:04
  of
• 3:05
  them.
• 3:05
  The
• 3:05
  Montreal
• 3:06
  Canadien,
• 3:06
  obviously,
• 3:07
  because
• 3:07
  I'm
• 3:07
  from
• 3:08
  just
• 3:08
  outside
• 3:08
  of
• 3:09
  Montreal,
• 3:09
  watching
• 3:10
  Guy
• 3:10
  Lafleur,
• 3:11
  Jacques
• 3:11
  Lemaire
• 3:12
  Larry
• 3:12
  Robinson.
• 3:14
  Those
• 3:14
  dynasty
• 3:15
  teams
• 3:16
  won
• 3:16
  a
• 3:16
  lot
• 3:16
  of
• 3:16
  standing
• 3:17
  cup
• 3:17
  in
• 3:17
  the
• 3:17
  70s,
• 3:18
  so.
• 3:19
  Larry
• 3:19
  Robinson,
• 3:20
  so.
• 3:21
  And
• 3:21
  then
• 3:21
  when
• 3:21
  I.
• 3:22
  In
• 3:22
  the
• 3:22
  80s,
• 3:22
  when
• 3:23
  I
• 3:23
  was
• 3:23
  about
• 3:23
  10,
• 3:24
  11
• 3:24
  years
• 3:24
  old,
• 3:25
  I
• 3:25
  started
• 3:25
  watching
• 3:26
  the
• 3:26
  Edmonton
• 3:26
  Oilers
• 3:27
  for
• 3:27
  the
• 3:27
  reason,
• 3:28
  because
• 3:28
  Wayne
• 3:28
  Gretzky
• 3:29
  was
• 3:29
  on
• 3:29
  that
• 3:29
  team
• 3:30
  and
• 3:30
  Mark
• 3:30
  Messi,
• 3:31
  my
• 3:31
  future
• 3:33
  line
• 3:33
  mate.
• 3:33
  I'm
• 3:33
  not
• 3:34
  line
• 3:34
  mate,
• 3:34
  but
• 3:34
  teammate.
• 3:36
  So
• 3:36
  my
• 3:36
  only
• 3:36
  jersey
• 3:37
  that
• 3:37
  I
• 3:37
  had
• 3:38
  my
• 3:38
  parents
• 3:38
  bought
• 3:38
  me
• 3:39
  for
• 3:39
  a
• 3:39
  Christmas
• 3:39
  gift
• 3:40
  was
• 3:40
  a
• 3:40
  Wayne
• 3:41
  Gretzky
• 3:41
  jersey
• 3:42
  in
• 3:42
  1982.
• 3:43
  83.
• 3:43
  So
• 3:44
  there's
• 3:44
  the
• 3:44
  two
• 3:44
  teams
• 3:45
  I
• 3:45
  watched.
• 3:46
  And
• 3:46
  occasionally
• 3:47
  I
• 3:47
  would
• 3:47
  watch
• 3:48
  the
• 3:48
  Toronto
• 3:48
  Maple
• 3:49
  Leaf
• 3:49
  on
• 3:49
  Saturday
• 3:49
  night.
• 3:50
  But
• 3:51
  mostly
• 3:51
  it
• 3:51
  was
• 3:51
  the
• 3:52
  Canadian
• 3:52
  in
• 3:52
  the
• 3:52
  orders.
• 3:53
  Nice.
• 3:53
  Some
• 3:54
  great
• 3:54
  names
• 3:54
  you
• 3:54
  mentioned
• 3:55
  there.
• 3:55
  Hall
• 3:56
  of
• 3:56
  Famers,
• 3:57
  and
• 3:57
  of
• 3:57
  course
• 3:57
  a
• 3:58
  great
• 3:58
  one,
• 3:58
  Gretzky.
• 3:59
  You
• 3:59
  followed
• 4:00
  some
• 4:00
  great
• 4:00
  teams.
• 4:00
  Stefan,
• 4:01
  now
• 4:01
  I
• 4:02
  want
• 4:02
  to
• 4:02
  talk
• 4:02
  a
• 4:02
  little
• 4:03
  baseball
• 4:03
  with
• 4:03
  you.
• 4:04
  You
• 4:04
  played
• 4:04
  in
• 4:05
  the
• 4:05
  Little
• 4:05
  League
• 4:05
  World
• 4:06
  Series.
• 4:06
  You
• 4:07
  played
• 4:07
  with
• 4:08
  the
• 4:08
  hall
• 4:08
  of
• 4:08
  Famer
• 4:09
  Pierre
• 4:09
  Turjon,
• 4:11
  who
• 4:11
  was
• 4:11
  the
• 4:11
  first
• 4:12
  pick
• 4:12
  in
• 4:12
  the
• 4:12
  NHL
• 4:13
  Draft
• 4:13
  in
• 4:13
  87.
• 4:14
  What
• 4:14
  positions
• 4:15
  did
• 4:15
  you
• 4:15
  guys
• 4:16
  play?
• 4:18
  There
• 4:18
  was
• 4:18
  only
• 4:19
  two
• 4:19
  pitchers
• 4:19
  back
• 4:20
  then.
• 4:20
  I
• 4:20
  know
• 4:21
  today's
• 4:21
  rule,
• 4:22
  there's
• 4:22
  a
• 4:22
  pitch
• 4:23
  count.
• 4:23
  We
• 4:24
  didn't
• 4:24
  have
• 4:24
  such
• 4:24
  a
• 4:24
  thing
• 4:25
  back
• 4:25
  then.
• 4:25
  So
• 4:25
  there
• 4:25
  was
• 4:26
  only
• 4:26
  two
• 4:26
  pitchers,
• 4:27
  myself
• 4:28
  and
• 4:28
  Pierre.
• 4:29
  And
• 4:29
  when
• 4:29
  I
• 4:29
  was
• 4:29
  not
• 4:30
  pitching,
• 4:30
  I
• 4:30
  was
• 4:30
  on
• 4:30
  third
• 4:31
  base.
• 4:31
  And
• 4:31
  Pierre,
• 4:32
  when
• 4:32
  he
• 4:32
  was
• 4:32
  not
• 4:33
  pitching,
• 4:34
  he
• 4:34
  was
• 4:34
  a
• 4:35
  center
• 4:35
  fielder.
• 4:37
  But
• 4:37
  I
• 4:37
  have
• 4:37
  to
• 4:37
  tell
• 4:37
  you
• 4:37
  the
• 4:38
  little
• 4:38
  story.
• 4:38
  The
• 4:38
  year
• 4:39
  before
• 4:39
  we
• 4:39
  end
• 4:40
  up
• 4:40
  going
• 4:40
  to
• 4:40
  the
• 4:40
  Canadian
• 4:41
  Championship
• 4:42
  in
• 4:42
  Vancouver
• 4:43
  and
• 4:43
  there
• 4:43
  was
• 4:43
  four
• 4:44
  pitchers
• 4:45
  and
• 4:45
  four
• 4:45
  of
• 4:45
  us
• 4:46
  end
• 4:46
  up
• 4:46
  playing
• 4:46
  the
• 4:46
  National
• 4:47
  Hockey
• 4:47
  League.
• 4:48
  Myself,
• 4:48
  Pierre,
• 4:49
  Eric
• 4:49
  Gujardi,
• 4:50
  who
• 4:50
  played
• 4:50
  for
• 4:51
  the
• 4:51
  Flyers
• 4:51
  and
• 4:51
  the
• 4:51
  Montreal
• 4:52
  Canadien.
• 4:53
  And
• 4:53
  Andre
• 4:53
  Retico
• 4:54
  was
• 4:54
  the
• 4:54
  backup
• 4:55
  goalie
• 4:55
  in
• 4:55
  1993
• 4:56
  when
• 4:56
  the
• 4:57
  Canadian
• 4:57
  won.
• 4:57
  So
• 4:59
  I
• 4:59
  don't
• 4:59
  think
• 4:59
  you'll
• 4:59
  ever
• 5:00
  see
• 5:00
  that
• 5:00
  again.
• 5:00
  That
• 5:01
  a
• 5:01
  12
• 5:01
  year
• 5:01
  old
• 5:01
  team,
• 5:02
  11
• 5:02
  year
• 5:02
  old
• 5:02
  team,
• 5:03
  4
• 5:03
  pitchers
• 5:04
  end
• 5:04
  up
• 5:04
  playing
• 5:04
  the
• 5:04
  National
• 5:05
  Hockey
• 5:05
  League
• 5:06
  a
• 5:06
  few
• 5:06
  years
• 5:06
  later.
• 5:07
  Who
• 5:07
  says
• 5:07
  that
• 5:08
  baseball
• 5:08
  is
• 5:08
  not
• 5:09
  popular
• 5:09
  in
• 5:09
  Canada?
• 5:10
  Right,
• 5:10
  Stefan?
• 5:11
  Well,
• 5:12
  it's
• 5:12
  popular,
• 5:12
  but
• 5:13
  we
• 5:13
  don't.
• 5:14
  I'm
• 5:14
  a
• 5:14
  lot.
• 5:15
  I'm
• 5:15
  in
• 5:15
  Florida
• 5:16
  now.
• 5:16
  There's
• 5:17
  so
• 5:17
  many
• 5:17
  baseball
• 5:17
  fields.
• 5:18
  If
• 5:18
  you
• 5:18
  would
• 5:18
  have
• 5:19
  seen
• 5:19
  our
• 5:19
  field
• 5:20
  in
• 5:20
  Ruina
• 5:21
  in
• 5:21
  1982,
• 5:22
  you
• 5:22
  would
• 5:22
  have
• 5:22
  said
• 5:22
  it's
• 5:23
  impossible.
• 5:24
  We
• 5:24
  could
• 5:24
  have
• 5:24
  made
• 5:24
  a
• 5:24
  movie
• 5:25
  about
• 5:26
  how
• 5:26
  we
• 5:27
  grow.
• 5:27
  And
• 5:28
  we
• 5:29
  had
• 5:29
  to
• 5:29
  throw
• 5:29
  rocks
• 5:30
  away
• 5:30
  from
• 5:30
  the
• 5:30
  field
• 5:31
  for
• 5:31
  us
• 5:31
  to
• 5:31
  practice.
• 5:32
  There
• 5:32
  was
• 5:32
  no
• 5:33
  such
• 5:33
  thing
• 5:33
  as
• 5:33
  a
• 5:33
  grass.
• 5:34
  And
• 5:35
  we
• 5:35
  had
• 5:36
  dedicated
• 5:37
  parents
• 5:37
  but
• 5:38
  no
• 5:38
  knowledge
• 5:38
  of
• 5:38
  baseball.
• 5:39
  So
• 5:40
  it
• 5:40
  was
• 5:40
  a
• 5:40
  miracle
• 5:41
  summer
• 5:41
  in
• 5:41
  1982,
• 5:42
  that's
• 5:42
  for
• 5:42
  sure.
• 5:42
  Who
• 5:43
  were
• 5:43
  your
• 5:43
  favorite
• 5:43
  baseball
• 5:44
  players
• 5:44
  back
• 5:45
  then?
• 5:46
  Well,
• 5:46
  we
• 5:46
  went
• 5:46
  to
• 5:46
  the
• 5:46
  Little
• 5:47
  League
• 5:47
  World
• 5:47
  Series.
• 5:48
  We
• 5:48
  finished
• 5:49
  fourth
• 5:49
  in
• 5:49
  the
• 5:49
  World
• 5:50
  that
• 5:50
  year
• 5:50
  when
• 5:50
  we
• 5:50
  came
• 5:51
  back,
• 5:51
  we
• 5:51
  were,
• 5:52
  we
• 5:52
  were
• 5:52
  welcomed
• 5:53
  by
• 5:53
  the
• 5:53
  Montreal
• 5:53
  Expos.
• 5:54
  So
• 5:55
  Tim
• 5:55
  Raines,
• 5:57
  we
• 5:58
  met
• 5:58
  Tim
• 5:58
  Raines,
• 5:59
  we
• 5:59
  met
• 5:59
  Tim
• 5:59
  Wallach,
• 6:00
  we
• 6:01
  met
• 6:01
  Warren
• 6:03
  Mc.
• 6:04
  What's
• 6:05
  his
• 6:05
  name?
• 6:05
  Cromartie.
• 6:07
  Yes,
• 6:07
  that's
• 6:07
  him.
• 6:07
  And
• 6:08
  Steve
• 6:08
  Rogers
• 6:09
  was
• 6:09
  there.
• 6:10
  And
• 6:11
  the
• 6:11
  late
• 6:12
  Gary
• 6:12
  Carter,
• 6:13
  the
• 6:13
  great
• 6:13
  Gary
• 6:13
  Carter
• 6:14
  was
• 6:14
  there.
• 6:14
  Ellis
• 6:15
  Valentine
• 6:16
  run
• 6:17
  the
• 6:17
  floor.
• 6:17
  So
• 6:17
  there
• 6:17
  was
• 6:18
  a
• 6:18
  lot
• 6:18
  of
• 6:18
  players
• 6:18
  back
• 6:19
  in
• 6:19
  1982
• 6:20
  who
• 6:20
  were
• 6:20
  on
• 6:21
  the
• 6:21
  team
• 6:21
  and
• 6:21
  we
• 6:21
  had
• 6:21
  the
• 6:22
  chance
• 6:22
  to
• 6:22
  meet
• 6:22
  him.
• 6:22
  Even
• 6:23
  though
• 6:23
  none
• 6:23
  of
• 6:23
  us
• 6:23
  on
• 6:24
  the
• 6:24
  team
• 6:24
  could
• 6:24
  speak
• 6:24
  English,
• 6:25
  we
• 6:25
  managed
• 6:26
  to
• 6:26
  shake
• 6:27
  hands
• 6:28
  and
• 6:28
  take
• 6:28
  a
• 6:29
  few
• 6:29
  pictures
• 6:29
  with
• 6:29
  them.
• 6:30
  Great.
• 6:30
  Yes,
• 6:31
  some
• 6:31
  great
• 6:32
  players
• 6:32
  on
• 6:33
  that
• 6:33
  Expos
• 6:33
  club.
• 6:34
  They
• 6:34
  really
• 6:35
  had
• 6:35
  a
• 6:35
  good
• 6:35
  team
• 6:35
  back
• 6:36
  then.
• 6:36
  I
• 6:36
  really
• 6:37
  hope
• 6:37
  that
• 6:37
  baseball
• 6:38
  comes
• 6:38
  back
• 6:38
  to
• 6:39
  Montreal
• 6:39
  now.
• 6:40
  Coach
• 6:41
  Mike
• 6:41
  Keenan.
• 6:41
  Stefan,
• 6:42
  you
• 6:43
  played
• 6:43
  for
• 6:43
  him
• 6:44
  on
• 6:44
  four
• 6:44
  different
• 6:45
  occasions
• 6:46
  with
• 6:46
  the
• 6:46
  Blackhawks,
• 6:47
  the
• 6:47
  Rangers,
• 6:47
  the
• 6:48
  Blues
• 6:48
  and
• 6:48
  the
• 6:49
  Panthers.
• 6:49
  What
• 6:50
  was
• 6:50
  Coach
• 6:50
  Keenan's
• 6:51
  coaching
• 6:52
  philosophy?
• 6:53
  What
• 6:53
  did
• 6:53
  he
• 6:53
  stress?
• 6:55
  Play
• 6:55
  hard
• 6:56
  early
• 6:56
  in
• 6:56
  the
• 6:56
  game,
• 6:57
  be
• 6:58
  successful
• 6:58
  early,
• 6:59
  but
• 6:59
  mostly
• 7:00
  play
• 7:00
  hard
• 7:00
  and
• 7:00
  you're
• 7:00
  going
• 7:01
  to
• 7:01
  have
• 7:01
  a
• 7:01
  lot
• 7:01
  of
• 7:01
  ice
• 7:02
  time
• 7:02
  for
• 7:02
  the
• 7:02
  rest
• 7:02
  of
• 7:03
  the
• 7:03
  game.
• 7:04
  He
• 7:04
  was
• 7:04
  not
• 7:04
  afraid
• 7:05
  to
• 7:05
  sit
• 7:05
  out
• 7:05
  the
• 7:06
  superstars
• 7:06
  on
• 7:06
  the
• 7:06
  team
• 7:07
  to
• 7:07
  set
• 7:07
  example.
• 7:08
  But
• 7:09
  good,
• 7:09
  warm
• 7:10
  up
• 7:10
  good.
• 7:11
  If
• 7:11
  you,
• 7:12
  if
• 7:12
  you
• 7:12
  give
• 7:12
  an
• 7:13
  honest
• 7:13
  effort,
• 7:14
  you
• 7:14
  would
• 7:15
  have
• 7:15
  a
• 7:15
  lot
• 7:15
  of
• 7:15
  ice
• 7:16
  time.
• 7:16
  And
• 7:16
  that's
• 7:16
  what
• 7:16
  I
• 7:16
  try
• 7:17
  to
• 7:17
  do
• 7:17
  my
• 7:17
  best.
• 7:18
  And
• 7:18
  I
• 7:19
  in
• 7:19
  Chicago,
• 7:20
  we
• 7:20
  end
• 7:20
  up
• 7:20
  winning,
• 7:21
  we
• 7:21
  end
• 7:21
  up
• 7:21
  losing
• 7:22
  in
• 7:22
  the
• 7:22
  Stem
• 7:22
  cup
• 7:22
  finals
• 7:23
  in
• 7:23
  1992
• 7:24
  against
• 7:25
  the
• 7:25
  Pittsburgh
• 7:26
  Penguins.
• 7:27
  And.
• 7:28
  And
• 7:28
  then
• 7:29
  I
• 7:29
  became
• 7:29
  available
• 7:30
  in
• 7:30
  1994
• 7:31
  when
• 7:31
  they
• 7:31
  made
• 7:31
  a
• 7:32
  big
• 7:32
  trade
• 7:32
  for
• 7:33
  Tony
• 7:33
  and
• 7:34
  money,
• 7:34
  including
• 7:35
  myself
• 7:35
  and
• 7:35
  Brian
• 7:35
  Noonan.
• 7:36
  And
• 7:37
  then
• 7:37
  in
• 7:37
  St.
• 7:37
  Louis,
• 7:38
  Keenan
• 7:38
  left
• 7:38
  the
• 7:39
  blood
• 7:39
  left,
• 7:40
  Keenan
• 7:41
  left
• 7:41
  the
• 7:41
  Rangers.
• 7:42
  It
• 7:43
  was
• 7:43
  a
• 7:43
  different
• 7:43
  team.
• 7:45
  They
• 7:45
  cleaned
• 7:45
  house
• 7:46
  a
• 7:46
  little
• 7:46
  bit.
• 7:46
  Then
• 7:46
  I
• 7:47
  ended
• 7:47
  up
• 7:47
  going
• 7:47
  to
• 7:47
  St.
• 7:47
  Louis
• 7:48
  and
• 7:48
  then
• 7:49
  my
• 7:49
  last
• 7:49
  year
• 7:49
  in
• 7:49
  the
• 7:49
  NHL,
• 7:50
  my
• 7:50
  career
• 7:50
  wasn't
• 7:51
  going
• 7:51
  anywhere.
• 7:51
  I
• 7:51
  wanted
• 7:52
  to,
• 7:52
  I
• 7:53
  needed
• 7:53
  some
• 7:53
  help
• 7:53
  and
• 7:54
  I
• 7:54
  called
• 7:54
  my
• 7:54
  buddy
• 7:55
  Mike
• 7:55
  if
• 7:56
  he
• 7:56
  could
• 7:56
  help
• 7:56
  me
• 7:56
  out
• 7:56
  in
• 7:57
  Florida.
• 7:57
  And
• 7:57
  then
• 7:57
  they
• 7:58
  signed
• 7:58
  me
• 7:58
  for
• 7:59
  a
• 7:59
  one
• 7:59
  year
• 7:59
  contract.
• 8:00
  So
• 8:01
  very
• 8:01
  grateful
• 8:01
  that
• 8:02
  I
• 8:02
  had
• 8:02
  a
• 8:02
  chance
• 8:02
  to
• 8:03
  play
• 8:03
  with
• 8:03
  one
• 8:03
  of
• 8:03
  the
• 8:04
  toughest,
• 8:04
  but
• 8:05
  also
• 8:05
  one
• 8:05
  of
• 8:05
  the
• 8:05
  most
• 8:06
  successful
• 8:06
  coach
• 8:06
  in
• 8:06
  the
• 8:07
  national
• 8:07
  academy
• 8:07
  right
• 8:08
  now.
• 8:08
  Did
• 8:09
  Coach
• 8:09
  Keenan
• 8:10
  influence
• 8:10
  your
• 8:11
  style
• 8:11
  at
• 8:11
  all?
• 8:12
  Stefan,
• 8:13
  when
• 8:13
  you
• 8:14
  coached
• 8:15
  in
• 8:15
  the
• 8:15
  Quebec
• 8:16
  Major
• 8:17
  Junior
• 8:17
  Hockey
• 8:17
  League,
• 8:18
  did
• 8:18
  he
• 8:19
  influence
• 8:20
  your
• 8:20
  style
• 8:20
  of
• 8:21
  coaching
• 8:21
  during
• 8:22
  those
• 8:22
  days?
• 8:23
  Absolutely.
• 8:25
  I
• 8:25
  was
• 8:26
  a
• 8:26
  type
• 8:26
  of
• 8:27
  player,
• 8:27
  big,
• 8:28
  big,
• 8:28
  strong,
• 8:29
  decent
• 8:30
  size.
• 8:30
  I
• 8:31
  wanted
• 8:31
  to
• 8:31
  play
• 8:31
  an
• 8:32
  easy
• 8:32
  game
• 8:32
  because
• 8:33
  that's
• 8:34
  what
• 8:34
  every
• 8:34
  hockey
• 8:35
  player.
• 8:35
  We
• 8:35
  like
• 8:35
  to
• 8:35
  score
• 8:36
  goals,
• 8:36
  we
• 8:37
  like
• 8:37
  to
• 8:37
  be
• 8:37
  successful.
• 8:38
  But
• 8:39
  he
• 8:39
  brought
• 8:39
  the
• 8:39
  best
• 8:40
  of
• 8:40
  me,
• 8:41
  sometimes
• 8:41
  the
• 8:42
  hard
• 8:42
  way,
• 8:43
  sometimes
• 8:44
  I
• 8:44
  thought
• 8:44
  he
• 8:44
  was
• 8:45
  crossing
• 8:46
  the
• 8:46
  line.
• 8:46
  But
• 8:47
  to
• 8:47
  me,
• 8:48
  I
• 8:48
  played
• 8:48
  13
• 8:49
  years
• 8:49
  in
• 8:49
  the
• 8:49
  National
• 8:50
  Hockey
• 8:50
  League
• 8:50
  because
• 8:51
  he
• 8:51
  was.
• 8:51
  He
• 8:52
  believed
• 8:52
  in
• 8:52
  me,
• 8:53
  he
• 8:53
  believed
• 8:53
  in
• 8:54
  my
• 8:54
  abilities,
• 8:55
  but
• 8:55
  they
• 8:55
  also.
• 8:56
  He
• 8:56
  pushed
• 8:56
  me
• 8:56
  to
• 8:56
  the
• 8:56
  limits
• 8:57
  where
• 8:57
  I
• 8:57
  didn't
• 8:57
  know
• 8:57
  I
• 8:57
  had
• 8:58
  those.
• 8:58
  I
• 8:58
  couldn't
• 8:59
  go.
• 8:59
  So
• 9:00
  I
• 9:00
  had
• 9:00
  a
• 9:00
  decent
• 9:01
  career.
• 9:01
  But
• 9:02
  I
• 9:02
  think
• 9:02
  Mike
• 9:02
  Keenan
• 9:03
  had
• 9:03
  something
• 9:03
  to
• 9:03
  do
• 9:03
  with
• 9:04
  it.
• 9:04
  Yes,
• 9:05
  that's
• 9:05
  true.
• 9:05
  And
• 9:06
  nice
• 9:06
  you
• 9:07
  give
• 9:07
  him
• 9:07
  credit,
• 9:07
  Stefan.
• 9:08
  Now,
• 9:09
  the
• 9:09
  goal
• 9:09
  that
• 9:09
  Stephan
• 9:10
  Mateau,
• 9:10
  who's
• 9:11
  with
• 9:11
  us
• 9:11
  tonight
• 9:11
  on
• 9:12
  Sports
• 9:12
  Talk
• 9:13
  New
• 9:13
  York,
• 9:13
  he
• 9:14
  scored
• 9:14
  against
• 9:14
  Martin
• 9:15
  brodor
• 9:16
  in
• 9:16
  the
• 9:16
  second
• 9:17
  overtime.
• 9:18
  That
• 9:18
  was
• 9:18
  in
• 9:18
  game
• 9:18
  seven
• 9:19
  of
• 9:19
  the
• 9:19
  94
• 9:20
  Eastern
• 9:20
  Conference
• 9:21
  finals.
• 9:22
  Most
• 9:22
  people
• 9:23
  say
• 9:23
  that
• 9:23
  that
• 9:23
  was
• 9:24
  probably
• 9:25
  one
• 9:25
  of
• 9:25
  the
• 9:25
  best
• 9:26
  playoff
• 9:26
  series
• 9:27
  in
• 9:27
  NHL
• 9:28
  history,
• 9:29
  the
• 9:29
  Battle
• 9:30
  of
• 9:30
  the
• 9:30
  Hudson.
• 9:31
  People
• 9:32
  call
• 9:32
  it
• 9:33
  the
• 9:33
  most
• 9:33
  famous
• 9:34
  goal,
• 9:34
  certainly
• 9:34
  in
• 9:35
  Rangers
• 9:35
  history,
• 9:36
  and
• 9:37
  definitely
• 9:37
  one
• 9:37
  of
• 9:37
  the
• 9:38
  most
• 9:38
  momentous
• 9:39
  in
• 9:40
  120
• 9:40
  years
• 9:41
  of
• 9:41
  Stanley
• 9:41
  cup
• 9:41
  play.
• 9:42
  You
• 9:43
  have
• 9:43
  said,
• 9:43
  Stephan,
• 9:44
  that
• 9:44
  when
• 9:44
  you
• 9:44
  scored
• 9:45
  that
• 9:45
  goal,
• 9:46
  you
• 9:46
  felt
• 9:46
  as
• 9:47
  if
• 9:47
  you
• 9:47
  had
• 9:47
  wings,
• 9:48
  right?
• 9:49
  Absolutely.
• 9:51
  It's
• 9:51
  weird.
• 9:51
  Like
• 9:52
  it's
• 9:52
  30
• 9:53
  years
• 9:53
  later
• 9:54
  as
• 9:54
  we
• 9:54
  still
• 9:55
  talk
• 9:55
  about
• 9:55
  it,
• 9:55
  I
• 9:56
  still
• 9:56
  have
• 9:56
  goosebumps
• 9:57
  just
• 9:57
  to
• 9:58
  explain
• 9:58
  to
• 9:58
  you
• 9:59
  how
• 9:59
  I
• 9:59
  felt
• 9:59
  that
• 10:00
  night.
• 10:02
  You
• 10:02
  play
• 10:02
  sports,
• 10:03
  you
• 10:03
  dream
• 10:04
  about
• 10:04
  moments
• 10:04
  like
• 10:04
  this.
• 10:05
  You
• 10:05
  are
• 10:06
  10,
• 10:06
  12
• 10:06
  years
• 10:07
  old,
• 10:07
  playing
• 10:08
  in
• 10:08
  a
• 10:08
  frigid,
• 10:10
  cold
• 10:10
  street
• 10:10
  of
• 10:11
  Montreal
• 10:11
  or
• 10:11
  outside
• 10:12
  of
• 10:12
  Quebec
• 10:12
  City,
• 10:12
  City.
• 10:13
  And
• 10:13
  you
• 10:14
  pretend
• 10:14
  you
• 10:14
  have
• 10:14
  a
• 10:14
  garbage
• 10:15
  can
• 10:15
  on
• 10:15
  the
• 10:15
  side
• 10:15
  of
• 10:16
  the
• 10:16
  road,
• 10:16
  and
• 10:16
  you
• 10:17
  pretend
• 10:17
  this
• 10:17
  is
• 10:17
  the
• 10:18
  Stanley
• 10:18
  cup
• 10:18
  and
• 10:19
  the
• 10:19
  next
• 10:19
  goal,
• 10:19
  you
• 10:20
  always
• 10:20
  pretend
• 10:21
  you
• 10:21
  are
• 10:21
  a
• 10:21
  Wayne
• 10:21
  Gretzky
• 10:22
  or
• 10:22
  Gila
• 10:23
  Fleur
• 10:23
  or
• 10:23
  Mark
• 10:23
  Messi,
• 10:24
  and
• 10:25
  the
• 10:25
  next
• 10:25
  goal
• 10:25
  wins.
• 10:26
  And
• 10:26
  then
• 10:26
  we
• 10:26
  would
• 10:26
  be
• 10:26
  carrying
• 10:27
  the
• 10:27
  garbage
• 10:27
  can
• 10:28
  over
• 10:28
  our
• 10:29
  head.
• 10:29
  But
• 10:29
  that's
• 10:29
  when
• 10:30
  you.
• 10:30
  When
• 10:30
  you
• 10:31
  become
• 10:31
  a
• 10:31
  professional,
• 10:32
  of
• 10:32
  course
• 10:32
  you
• 10:32
  want
• 10:32
  to
• 10:33
  be
• 10:33
  successful.
• 10:34
  But
• 10:35
  I
• 10:35
  was
• 10:35
  put
• 10:35
  on
• 10:36
  a
• 10:36
  great
• 10:37
  team.
• 10:38
  Keenan
• 10:38
  and
• 10:38
  Neil
• 10:39
  Smith
• 10:39
  did
• 10:39
  a
• 10:39
  fantastic
• 10:40
  job
• 10:41
  of
• 10:41
  gathering.
• 10:42
  That's
• 10:43
  such
• 10:43
  a
• 10:43
  good
• 10:43
  team.
• 10:44
  And
• 10:45
  I
• 10:45
  was
• 10:45
  on
• 10:45
  the
• 10:45
  line
• 10:46
  with
• 10:46
  Lexi
• 10:46
  Kovalev
• 10:47
  most
• 10:47
  of
• 10:47
  the
• 10:48
  playoff
• 10:48
  and
• 10:48
  Steve
• 10:49
  Larmour,
• 10:49
  two
• 10:50
  of
• 10:50
  the
• 10:50
  most
• 10:51
  unsung
• 10:51
  hero
• 10:51
  of
• 10:52
  the
• 10:52
  New
• 10:52
  York
• 10:52
  Rangers
• 10:52
  in
• 10:52
  1994.
• 10:54
  So
• 10:56
  call
• 10:56
  it
• 10:56
  luck,
• 10:56
  call
• 10:57
  it
• 10:57
  faith.
• 10:58
  I
• 10:59
  was
• 10:59
  put
• 10:59
  on
• 10:59
  the
• 11:00
  ice,
• 11:00
  and
• 11:01
  whether
• 11:01
  it's
• 11:01
  a
• 11:01
  lucky
• 11:02
  goal
• 11:02
  or
• 11:02
  not,
• 11:02
  I
• 11:03
  don't
• 11:03
  care
• 11:03
  30
• 11:03
  years
• 11:04
  later.
• 11:04
  So
• 11:05
  it
• 11:05
  was
• 11:05
  the
• 11:05
  most
• 11:05
  important
• 11:06
  moment
• 11:06
  in
• 11:06
  my
• 11:06
  life.
• 11:07
  But
• 11:07
  I
• 11:07
  find
• 11:08
  out
• 11:08
  later
• 11:08
  on,
• 11:09
  not
• 11:09
  admittedly,
• 11:10
  but
• 11:11
  a
• 11:11
  few
• 11:11
  years
• 11:11
  later,
• 11:11
  that
• 11:12
  was
• 11:12
  that
• 11:13
  moment
• 11:14
  meant
• 11:15
  so
• 11:15
  much
• 11:15
  for
• 11:15
  the
• 11:16
  great
• 11:16
  fans
• 11:16
  of
• 11:16
  New
• 11:16
  York,
• 11:16
  for
• 11:17
  the
• 11:17
  New
• 11:17
  York
• 11:17
  Rangers,
• 11:18
  it
• 11:18
  sure
• 11:18
  did.
• 11:18
  And
• 11:18
  we'll
• 11:19
  talk
• 11:19
  about
• 11:19
  that
• 11:19
  in
• 11:19
  a
• 11:20
  little
• 11:20
  bit.
• 11:20
  But
• 11:20
  in
• 11:21
  the
• 11:21
  second
• 11:21
  overtime
• 11:22
  period,
• 11:22
  Game
• 11:22
  7,
• 11:23
  Rangers
• 11:23
  won,
• 11:23
  Devils
• 11:24
  won.
• 11:25
  Take
• 11:25
  us
• 11:25
  through.
• 11:25
  What
• 11:26
  happened
• 11:26
  when
• 11:26
  you
• 11:26
  scored
• 11:27
  that
• 11:27
  goal?
• 11:29
  Well,
• 11:29
  it
• 11:29
  was
• 11:30
  a
• 11:30
  breakup
• 11:31
  play
• 11:31
  and
• 11:32
  I
• 11:32
  had
• 11:32
  a
• 11:32
  very
• 11:32
  good
• 11:33
  jump
• 11:33
  on
• 11:33
  Niedermeier
• 11:34
  to
• 11:34
  go
• 11:35
  their
• 11:35
  all
• 11:36
  star
• 11:36
  defenseman.
• 11:37
  And
• 11:38
  because
• 11:38
  he
• 11:38
  was
• 11:38
  such
• 11:38
  a
• 11:39
  good
• 11:39
  skater,
• 11:39
  even
• 11:39
  though
• 11:40
  I
• 11:40
  beat
• 11:40
  him
• 11:40
  in
• 11:40
  the
• 11:40
  corner,
• 11:41
  he
• 11:41
  kind
• 11:41
  of
• 11:42
  caught
• 11:42
  up
• 11:42
  to
• 11:42
  me
• 11:42
  pretty
• 11:43
  quick.
• 11:43
  And
• 11:44
  I
• 11:44
  ended
• 11:44
  up
• 11:44
  going
• 11:44
  around
• 11:45
  the
• 11:45
  net,
• 11:45
  did
• 11:45
  not
• 11:46
  have
• 11:46
  a
• 11:46
  plan
• 11:47
  whatsoever.
• 11:48
  And
• 11:48
  I.
• 11:50
  Because
• 11:50
  I
• 11:50
  was
• 11:50
  standing
• 11:51
  almost
• 11:51
  on
• 11:51
  top
• 11:51
  of
• 11:52
  the
• 11:52
  net
• 11:52
  when
• 11:52
  I
• 11:52
  saw
• 11:52
  the
• 11:53
  puck
• 11:53
  entering
• 11:53
  and
• 11:54
  when
• 11:54
  I
• 11:54
  saw
• 11:54
  the
• 11:54
  puck
• 11:55
  cross
• 11:55
  the
• 11:55
  red
• 11:55
  line,
• 11:56
  I
• 11:56
  knew
• 11:56
  the
• 11:57
  puck
• 11:57
  was
• 11:57
  in.
• 11:57
  I
• 11:57
  knew
• 11:57
  it
• 11:58
  was
• 11:58
  a
• 11:58
  good
• 11:58
  goal,
• 11:59
  and
• 11:59
  I
• 11:59
  knew
• 12:00
  that
• 12:00
  we
• 12:00
  were
• 12:00
  going
• 12:00
  to
• 12:01
  the
• 12:01
  standing
• 12:01
  cup
• 12:01
  final.
• 12:02
  So
• 12:02
  my
• 12:02
  first
• 12:02
  thought
• 12:03
  was,
• 12:03
  we
• 12:04
  are
• 12:04
  going
• 12:04
  to
• 12:04
  the
• 12:04
  Stanley
• 12:05
  Cup
• 12:05
  Final
• 12:06
  and
• 12:06
  we
• 12:06
  don't
• 12:06
  have
• 12:06
  a
• 12:07
  chance
• 12:07
  to
• 12:07
  win.
• 12:07
  But
• 12:08
  I
• 12:08
  didn't
• 12:08
  think
• 12:08
  about
• 12:08
  my
• 12:09
  personal
• 12:10
  success
• 12:10
  or
• 12:10
  personal
• 12:11
  fame
• 12:11
  later
• 12:12
  on.
• 12:13
  I
• 12:13
  was
• 12:13
  very
• 12:13
  grateful
• 12:14
  to.
• 12:16
  So
• 12:17
  I
• 12:17
  was
• 12:17
  able
• 12:17
  to
• 12:18
  participate
• 12:18
  in
• 12:19
  the
• 12:19
  scoring.
• 12:20
  But
• 12:20
  also
• 12:21
  that
• 12:21
  was
• 12:22
  my
• 12:22
  second
• 12:22
  overtime
• 12:22
  goal.
• 12:23
  Game
• 12:23
  3
• 12:23
  in
• 12:23
  New
• 12:24
  Jersey,
• 12:24
  I
• 12:24
  scored
• 12:25
  another
• 12:25
  one
• 12:25
  that
• 12:26
  I
• 12:26
  was
• 12:26
  very
• 12:27
  pleased
• 12:27
  with.
• 12:28
  But
• 12:28
  nothing
• 12:29
  compared
• 12:29
  to
• 12:29
  game
• 12:29
  seven
• 12:30
  at
• 12:30
  the
• 12:30
  Garden
• 12:31
  right
• 12:31
  now.
• 12:31
  There
• 12:32
  was
• 12:32
  a
• 12:32
  kind
• 12:33
  of
• 12:33
  delayed
• 12:33
  action
• 12:34
  because
• 12:34
  nobody
• 12:34
  saw
• 12:35
  the
• 12:35
  puck
• 12:35
  go
• 12:35
  in
• 12:36
  but
• 12:36
  you.
• 12:36
  I
• 12:37
  guess
• 12:37
  Adam
• 12:38
  Graves
• 12:38
  had
• 12:38
  said
• 12:39
  there
• 12:39
  was
• 12:40
  a
• 12:40
  moment
• 12:40
  of
• 12:41
  silence
• 12:42
  before
• 12:42
  anybody
• 12:43
  realized
• 12:43
  what
• 12:44
  had
• 12:44
  happened.
• 12:45
  Yeah,
• 12:46
  absolutely.
• 12:47
  Every
• 12:47
  time
• 12:47
  the
• 12:47
  puck.
• 12:48
  When
• 12:48
  you're
• 12:48
  in
• 12:48
  the
• 12:48
  situation,
• 12:49
  I
• 12:49
  find
• 12:49
  out
• 12:49
  later
• 12:50
  on
• 12:50
  that
• 12:50
  every
• 12:50
  time
• 12:51
  you
• 12:51
  put
• 12:51
  in
• 12:51
  a
• 12:51
  situation
• 12:52
  like
• 12:52
  this
• 12:53
  and
• 12:53
  every
• 12:53
  time
• 12:53
  in
• 12:54
  the
• 12:54
  second,
• 12:54
  third,
• 12:55
  fourth
• 12:55
  overtime
• 12:56
  in
• 12:56
  a
• 12:56
  crucial
• 12:56
  game,
• 12:57
  especially
• 12:57
  a
• 12:57
  game
• 12:58
  seven,
• 12:58
  it
• 12:58
  doesn't
• 12:59
  matter.
• 12:59
  It
• 12:59
  doesn't
• 12:59
  matter
• 13:00
  which
• 13:00
  round.
• 13:01
  Every
• 13:01
  time
• 13:01
  the
• 13:01
  puck
• 13:02
  is
• 13:02
  near
• 13:02
  the
• 13:02
  net,
• 13:03
  there's
• 13:04
  always
• 13:04
  silence.
• 13:04
  There's
• 13:05
  always.
• 13:05
  People
• 13:05
  are
• 13:06
  nervous,
• 13:06
  exciting,
• 13:08
  excited,
• 13:08
  and
• 13:08
  they.
• 13:09
  And
• 13:10
  then
• 13:10
  they
• 13:10
  lost.
• 13:11
  They
• 13:11
  lost
• 13:11
  track
• 13:11
  where
• 13:11
  the
• 13:12
  puck
• 13:12
  was,
• 13:12
  was.
• 13:13
  And.
• 13:13
  But
• 13:14
  to
• 13:14
  me,
• 13:14
  I
• 13:14
  had
• 13:14
  the
• 13:14
  perfect
• 13:15
  angle,
• 13:15
  like
• 13:15
  you
• 13:15
  said,
• 13:16
  I
• 13:16
  had
• 13:16
  the
• 13:16
  perfect
• 13:17
  angle
• 13:17
  and
• 13:17
  I
• 13:17
  saw
• 13:18
  the
• 13:18
  puck
• 13:18
  going
• 13:19
  in
• 13:19
  very,
• 13:19
  very
• 13:19
  slowly,
• 13:20
  to
• 13:20
  my
• 13:20
  surprise.
• 13:21
  Right?
• 13:21
  And
• 13:22
  there
• 13:22
  it
• 13:22
  was.
• 13:22
  Now,
• 13:23
  what
• 13:23
  was
• 13:23
  it
• 13:24
  like,
• 13:24
  Stefan,
• 13:25
  in
• 13:25
  the
• 13:25
  handshake
• 13:26
  line
• 13:27
  afterwards?
• 13:27
  I
• 13:27
  mean,
• 13:28
  the
• 13:28
  Devils
• 13:29
  must
• 13:29
  have
• 13:29
  been
• 13:29
  devastated.
• 13:30
  You've
• 13:30
  been
• 13:31
  in
• 13:31
  that
• 13:31
  position
• 13:32
  before.
• 13:32
  What
• 13:32
  is
• 13:33
  that
• 13:33
  feeling
• 13:33
  like?
• 13:34
  Well,
• 13:35
  we
• 13:35
  all
• 13:35
  been
• 13:35
  in
• 13:35
  that
• 13:35
  position
• 13:36
  when
• 13:36
  you
• 13:36
  play
• 13:36
  for
• 13:37
  a
• 13:38
  few
• 13:38
  years
• 13:38
  before.
• 13:39
  We
• 13:39
  lost
• 13:39
  to
• 13:39
  Pittsburgh
• 13:40
  in
• 13:40
  the
• 13:40
  finals
• 13:41
  in
• 13:41
  four
• 13:41
  games.
• 13:42
  We
• 13:42
  were
• 13:42
  very
• 13:42
  disappointed.
• 13:44
  But
• 13:44
  to
• 13:44
  get
• 13:45
  to
• 13:45
  that
• 13:45
  point,
• 13:45
  you
• 13:45
  win
• 13:46
  the
• 13:46
  first,
• 13:46
  second
• 13:47
  and
• 13:47
  third
• 13:47
  round,
• 13:48
  you're
• 13:48
  very
• 13:48
  happy.
• 13:49
  But
• 13:49
  we
• 13:49
  had
• 13:49
  such
• 13:50
  a.
• 13:50
  How
• 13:51
  can
• 13:51
  I
• 13:51
  describe
• 13:51
  that?
• 13:51
  We
• 13:52
  had
• 13:52
  the
• 13:52
  most
• 13:52
  respected
• 13:53
  team
• 13:54
  in
• 13:54
  the
• 13:54
  national.
• 13:55
  In
• 13:55
  the
• 13:55
  NHL
• 13:56
  in
• 13:56
  94
• 13:57
  with
• 13:58
  the
• 13:58
  Devils,
• 13:59
  two
• 13:59
  best
• 13:59
  team
• 14:00
  in
• 14:00
  the
• 14:00
  league.
• 14:01
  Two
• 14:02
  older
• 14:02
  team,
• 14:03
  very
• 14:03
  respected
• 14:04
  team.
• 14:04
  When
• 14:04
  we
• 14:04
  shook
• 14:05
  hands,
• 14:05
  it
• 14:05
  was
• 14:05
  all
• 14:06
  respect.
• 14:06
  And
• 14:07
  they
• 14:07
  all
• 14:08
  wish
• 14:08
  us
• 14:08
  good
• 14:08
  luck
• 14:08
  in
• 14:09
  the
• 14:09
  finals.
• 14:10
  I
• 14:10
  know
• 14:10
  they
• 14:10
  were
• 14:10
  disappointed.
• 14:11
  We
• 14:11
  were
• 14:12
  happy,
• 14:12
  but
• 14:12
  we
• 14:13
  didn't
• 14:13
  showcase.
• 14:13
  We
• 14:14
  didn't
• 14:14
  humiliate
• 14:15
  them
• 14:15
  before,
• 14:16
  during
• 14:16
  or
• 14:17
  after
• 14:17
  the
• 14:17
  handshake.
• 14:18
  So
• 14:18
  that
• 14:19
  was
• 14:19
  our
• 14:19
  team.
• 14:21
  We
• 14:21
  were
• 14:22
  very
• 14:23
  grateful,
• 14:23
  but
• 14:23
  also
• 14:24
  we
• 14:24
  were
• 14:24
  very
• 14:24
  calm
• 14:25
  and
• 14:25
  focused
• 14:25
  for
• 14:25
  the
• 14:25
  next
• 14:26
  round.
• 14:26
  That's
• 14:26
  the
• 14:26
  way
• 14:27
  to
• 14:27
  go
• 14:27
  about
• 14:27
  it,
• 14:27
  Stephon.
• 14:28
  That's
• 14:28
  a
• 14:28
  good
• 14:30
  way
• 14:30
  to
• 14:31
  tell
• 14:31
  the
• 14:31
  kids
• 14:31
  out
• 14:31
  there
• 14:32
  how
• 14:32
  to
• 14:32
  lose.
• 14:33
  And
• 14:33
  that's
• 14:34
  very
• 14:34
  important.
• 14:34
  Stephan
• 14:35
  Matteau
• 14:35
  with
• 14:36
  us
• 14:36
  tonight
• 14:36
  on
• 14:37
  Sports
• 14:37
  Talk
• 14:38
  New
• 14:38
  York.
• 14:38
  Now,
• 14:38
  that
• 14:39
  wasn't
• 14:39
  the
• 14:39
  only
• 14:40
  goal
• 14:40
  you
• 14:40
  scored
• 14:41
  in
• 14:41
  the
• 14:41
  second
• 14:42
  overtime
• 14:42
  period
• 14:42
  in
• 14:43
  that
• 14:43
  series.
• 14:43
  You
• 14:43
  also
• 14:44
  did
• 14:44
  that
• 14:44
  in
• 14:44
  game
• 14:45
  three.
• 14:45
  As
• 14:46
  you
• 14:46
  said,
• 14:46
  quick
• 14:46
  backhand
• 14:47
  off
• 14:47
  a
• 14:47
  scramble
• 14:48
  in
• 14:48
  front
• 14:48
  of
• 14:48
  Marty
• 14:48
  Brodeur
• 14:49
  gave
• 14:50
  the
• 14:50
  Rangers
• 14:50
  a
• 14:51
  32
• 14:51
  victory
• 14:52
  over
• 14:53
  in
• 14:53
  the
• 14:53
  Meadowlands.
• 14:54
  You
• 14:54
  scored
• 14:55
  both
• 14:55
  those
• 14:55
  goals
• 14:56
  on
• 14:56
  the
• 14:56
  great
• 14:56
  Martin
• 14:57
  Brodeur.
• 14:58
  Talk
• 14:58
  to
• 14:59
  us
• 14:59
  a
• 14:59
  little
• 14:59
  bit
• 14:59
  about
• 15:00
  Marty,
• 15:00
  Stefan.
• 15:02
  Well,
• 15:02
  he
• 15:02
  was
• 15:03
  a
• 15:03
  rookie.
• 15:03
  I
• 15:04
  was
• 15:04
  in
• 15:04
  my
• 15:04
  third
• 15:05
  year
• 15:05
  in
• 15:05
  the
• 15:05
  National
• 15:05
  Hockey
• 15:06
  League.
• 15:07
  I
• 15:07
  was
• 15:07
  the
• 15:07
  third
• 15:07
  youngest
• 15:08
  player,
• 15:09
  the
• 15:09
  third
• 15:09
  youngest
• 15:10
  Ranger
• 15:10
  that
• 15:10
  year.
• 15:11
  94,
• 15:12
  Kovalev
• 15:12
  and
• 15:12
  Carpenter
• 15:13
  younger
• 15:13
  than
• 15:14
  me.
• 15:14
  Marty
• 15:15
  was
• 15:15
  a
• 15:15
  rookie.
• 15:17
  He
• 15:17
  was
• 15:18
  so
• 15:18
  talented,
• 15:19
  big,
• 15:19
  strong,
• 15:20
  loose
• 15:21
  out
• 15:21
  there.
• 15:22
  And
• 15:23
  I
• 15:23
  found
• 15:23
  out
• 15:24
  later
• 15:25
  on
• 15:25
  he
• 15:25
  became
• 15:26
  the
• 15:26
  most
• 15:26
  successful
• 15:27
  goaltender
• 15:27
  in
• 15:27
  the
• 15:27
  world
• 15:28
  that
• 15:28
  run
• 15:28
  in
• 15:29
  the
• 15:29
  NHL.
• 15:30
  And
• 15:30
  then
• 15:30
  I
• 15:30
  have
• 15:30
  to
• 15:30
  tell
• 15:30
  you
• 15:31
  a
• 15:31
  little
• 15:31
  story.
• 15:31
  When
• 15:31
  my
• 15:32
  son
• 15:32
  played
• 15:32
  his
• 15:32
  first
• 15:33
  NHL
• 15:33
  game
• 15:34
  against
• 15:35
  the
• 15:35
  Islanders
• 15:36
  in
• 15:36
  New
• 15:36
  York,
• 15:37
  my
• 15:38
  family,
• 15:38
  we
• 15:38
  were
• 15:38
  in
• 15:38
  the
• 15:38
  stands
• 15:40
  watching
• 15:40
  the
• 15:40
  game
• 15:40
  and
• 15:41
  we
• 15:41
  waited
• 15:42
  for
• 15:42
  him
• 15:42
  after
• 15:42
  the
• 15:42
  game
• 15:43
  to
• 15:43
  give
• 15:43
  him
• 15:44
  a
• 15:44
  big
• 15:44
  hug.
• 15:44
  And
• 15:45
  Marty
• 15:45
  brother
• 15:45
  was
• 15:46
  the
• 15:46
  first
• 15:46
  and
• 15:46
  only
• 15:47
  player
• 15:48
  from
• 15:48
  the
• 15:48
  Devils
• 15:49
  at
• 15:49
  that
• 15:49
  time.
• 15:50
  He
• 15:50
  came
• 15:50
  into
• 15:50
  the
• 15:51
  stands
• 15:51
  and
• 15:52
  he
• 15:52
  came
• 15:52
  to
• 15:52
  shake
• 15:52
  our
• 15:53
  hands
• 15:53
  and
• 15:54
  he
• 15:54
  told
• 15:54
  us,
• 15:54
  he
• 15:55
  told
• 15:55
  the
• 15:55
  family
• 15:55
  that
• 15:55
  he
• 15:56
  was
• 15:56
  going
• 15:56
  to
• 15:56
  take
• 15:56
  care
• 15:56
  of
• 15:56
  my
• 15:57
  son.
• 15:57
  So
• 15:58
  to
• 15:58
  find
• 15:58
  out
• 15:58
  who
• 15:59
  also,
• 15:59
  he
• 15:59
  was
• 16:00
  a
• 16:00
  great
• 16:00
  player,
• 16:00
  but
• 16:00
  he
• 16:00
  was
• 16:01
  also
• 16:01
  a
• 16:02
  very,
• 16:02
  very
• 16:02
  classy
• 16:03
  human
• 16:03
  being
• 16:03
  and
• 16:05
  really
• 16:05
  admire
• 16:06
  for
• 16:06
  that
• 16:06
  reason,
• 16:07
  as.
• 16:07
  I
• 16:07
  was
• 16:07
  going
• 16:07
  to
• 16:08
  say,
• 16:08
  Stefan.
• 16:08
  Yeah,
• 16:09
  all
• 16:09
  class
• 16:09
  from
• 16:10
  Martin
• 16:10
  Brodeur.
• 16:11
  Now.
• 16:13
  The
• 16:14
  call
• 16:14
  of
• 16:14
  that
• 16:15
  great
• 16:15
  goal.
• 16:16
  I
• 16:17
  don't
• 16:17
  have
• 16:17
  the
• 16:18
  snippet
• 16:18
  of
• 16:18
  tape
• 16:19
  from
• 16:19
  that,
• 16:19
  but
• 16:20
  I'll
• 16:20
  repeat
• 16:21
  it
• 16:21
  for
• 16:21
  you
• 16:21
  folks
• 16:22
  out
• 16:22
  there.
• 16:22
  Mateau
• 16:23
  swoops
• 16:23
  in
• 16:23
  to
• 16:23
  intercept.
• 16:24
  Mateau
• 16:25
  behind
• 16:25
  the
• 16:25
  net.
• 16:25
  Swings
• 16:26
  it
• 16:26
  in
• 16:26
  front.
• 16:26
  He
• 16:27
  scores.
• 16:27
  Mateau.
• 16:28
  Mateau.
• 16:29
  Mateau.
• 16:30
  Stefan.
• 16:30
  Mateau.
• 16:31
  And
• 16:31
  the
• 16:31
  Rangers
• 16:32
  have
• 16:32
  one
• 16:32
  more
• 16:33
  hill
• 16:33
  to
• 16:33
  climb,
• 16:34
  baby.
• 16:34
  But
• 16:35
  it's
• 16:35
  Mount
• 16:35
  Vancouver.
• 16:36
  The
• 16:36
  Rangers,
• 16:36
  Rangers
• 16:37
  are
• 16:37
  headed
• 16:37
  to
• 16:37
  the
• 16:38
  finals.
• 16:38
  Now
• 16:39
  that
• 16:39
  was
• 16:39
  the
• 16:39
  immortal
• 16:40
  call
• 16:40
  from
• 16:40
  the
• 16:40
  great
• 16:41
  Howie
• 16:41
  Rose,
• 16:41
  who
• 16:42
  really
• 16:42
  himself
• 16:43
  is
• 16:43
  a
• 16:43
  New
• 16:43
  York
• 16:44
  institution
• 16:45
  and
• 16:45
  a
• 16:45
  broadcasting
• 16:46
  legend.
• 16:47
  You
• 16:47
  guys
• 16:47
  are
• 16:47
  linked
• 16:48
  forever.
• 16:48
  Now,
• 16:49
  how
• 16:49
  did
• 16:50
  your
• 16:50
  relationship
• 16:50
  with
• 16:51
  Howie
• 16:51
  change
• 16:52
  after
• 16:52
  the
• 16:52
  goal
• 16:52
  and
• 16:53
  the
• 16:53
  cup?
• 16:53
  Stefan?
• 16:54
  Well,
• 16:56
  that
• 16:57
  was
• 16:57
  a
• 16:57
  pretty
• 16:57
  good
• 16:57
  call
• 16:58
  by
• 16:58
  you.
• 16:59
  Thank
• 16:59
  you
• 16:59
  very
• 16:59
  much.
• 17:01
  To
• 17:01
  recap
• 17:02
  how
• 17:03
  we
• 17:04
  in
• 17:05
  the
• 17:05
  goal,
• 17:06
  it
• 17:06
  took
• 17:06
  me
• 17:06
  years
• 17:07
  to
• 17:07
  be
• 17:07
  friends
• 17:07
  with
• 17:08
  Howie,
• 17:08
  like,
• 17:08
  he.
• 17:09
  I
• 17:10
  didn't
• 17:10
  hear.
• 17:10
  We
• 17:10
  didn't
• 17:10
  have
• 17:11
  the
• 17:11
  Internet
• 17:11
  back
• 17:11
  then,
• 17:12
  if
• 17:12
  I
• 17:12
  recall.
• 17:12
  We
• 17:13
  didn't
• 17:13
  have
• 17:13
  any
• 17:14
  cell
• 17:14
  phone
• 17:14
  at
• 17:14
  the
• 17:15
  time.
• 17:15
  So
• 17:15
  I
• 17:15
  didn't.
• 17:15
  I
• 17:15
  didn't
• 17:16
  hear
• 17:16
  the
• 17:16
  call
• 17:17
  for
• 17:17
  months
• 17:18
  and
• 17:18
  months
• 17:18
  and
• 17:18
  months
• 17:18
  later.
• 17:19
  Wow.
• 17:20
  They.
• 17:21
  We
• 17:21
  went
• 17:21
  on
• 17:21
  a
• 17:21
  lockout.
• 17:22
  We
• 17:22
  won
• 17:22
  the
• 17:22
  Cup.
• 17:23
  Two
• 17:23
  weeks
• 17:23
  later,
• 17:24
  I
• 17:24
  went
• 17:24
  home
• 17:25
  in
• 17:25
  Quebec.
• 17:26
  We
• 17:26
  didn't
• 17:26
  start
• 17:27
  the
• 17:27
  season
• 17:27
  until
• 17:28
  next
• 17:28
  January
• 17:29
  because
• 17:29
  the
• 17:29
  lockout.
• 17:30
  So
• 17:30
  I
• 17:30
  never
• 17:31
  heard
• 17:31
  a
• 17:31
  call,
• 17:32
  didn't
• 17:32
  hear.
• 17:33
  My
• 17:33
  friends
• 17:33
  from
• 17:33
  New
• 17:33
  York
• 17:34
  never
• 17:34
  called
• 17:34
  me
• 17:34
  about,
• 17:35
  hey,
• 17:35
  there's
• 17:35
  a
• 17:35
  call
• 17:36
  on
• 17:36
  the
• 17:36
  radio
• 17:37
  that
• 17:37
  keeps
• 17:37
  on
• 17:37
  playing
• 17:38
  over
• 17:38
  and
• 17:38
  over.
• 17:38
  So
• 17:39
  it
• 17:39
  took
• 17:39
  me
• 17:40
  a
• 17:40
  while.
• 17:40
  And
• 17:41
  then
• 17:41
  the
• 17:41
  last
• 17:42
  maybe
• 17:42
  20
• 17:43
  years,
• 17:43
  on
• 17:44
  May
• 17:44
  27th
• 17:45
  in
• 17:45
  the
• 17:45
  morning,
• 17:45
  I
• 17:45
  always
• 17:46
  received
• 17:46
  a
• 17:47
  text
• 17:47
  from
• 17:47
  Howie,
• 17:48
  and
• 17:50
  he
• 17:51
  always
• 17:51
  mentioned
• 17:51
  the
• 17:52
  goal,
• 17:52
  the
• 17:52
  moment,
• 17:53
  and
• 17:53
  let's
• 17:53
  keep
• 17:53
  it
• 17:54
  up
• 17:54
  and
• 17:54
  just.
• 17:54
  We've
• 17:55
  been
• 17:55
  friends
• 17:56
  the
• 17:56
  last
• 17:56
  10
• 17:56
  years,
• 17:57
  maybe
• 17:57
  we
• 17:57
  play.
• 17:58
  We
• 17:58
  play
• 17:58
  golf
• 17:58
  once
• 17:59
  in
• 17:59
  a
• 17:59
  while
• 17:59
  in
• 17:59
  Florida
• 18:00
  together.
• 18:00
  Every
• 18:01
  time
• 18:01
  I
• 18:01
  go
• 18:01
  see
• 18:01
  the
• 18:02
  Mets,
• 18:02
  I
• 18:02
  was
• 18:03
  there
• 18:03
  for
• 18:03
  two
• 18:03
  games
• 18:05
  in
• 18:05
  the
• 18:05
  playoff
• 18:06
  when
• 18:06
  the
• 18:06
  Mets
• 18:06
  play
• 18:06
  the
• 18:06
  Dodgers.
• 18:07
  Yeah,
• 18:07
  I
• 18:07
  saw
• 18:08
  you
• 18:08
  on
• 18:08
  tv.
• 18:09
  Yeah.
• 18:09
  So
• 18:10
  my
• 18:10
  first
• 18:10
  thought,
• 18:11
  my
• 18:11
  first
• 18:11
  action
• 18:11
  is
• 18:12
  to
• 18:12
  go
• 18:12
  to
• 18:12
  the
• 18:12
  booth,
• 18:13
  give
• 18:13
  him
• 18:13
  a
• 18:13
  big
• 18:14
  hug.
• 18:14
  And
• 18:15
  because
• 18:15
  Howie
• 18:16
  is
• 18:16
  one
• 18:16
  of
• 18:16
  the
• 18:16
  kindest
• 18:17
  human
• 18:17
  being
• 18:17
  on
• 18:18
  the
• 18:18
  planet,
• 18:19
  he.
• 18:20
  You
• 18:20
  cannot
• 18:21
  talk
• 18:21
  about
• 18:21
  the
• 18:21
  success
• 18:22
  that
• 18:22
  he
• 18:22
  has
• 18:23
  because
• 18:23
  he's
• 18:23
  so
• 18:23
  humble,
• 18:24
  and
• 18:25
  I
• 18:25
  love
• 18:25
  to
• 18:25
  be
• 18:26
  next
• 18:26
  to
• 18:26
  him,
• 18:27
  bring
• 18:27
  us
• 18:27
  some
• 18:27
  great
• 18:28
  memories.
• 18:28
  But
• 18:29
  what
• 18:29
  a
• 18:30
  career
• 18:30
  that
• 18:30
  he
• 18:30
  has
• 18:31
  that
• 18:31
  he's
• 18:32
  having
• 18:32
  in
• 18:33
  hockey
• 18:33
  and
• 18:33
  also
• 18:33
  in
• 18:34
  baseball.
• 18:34
  So
• 18:35
  I'm
• 18:35
  glad
• 18:35
  that
• 18:35
  I'm
• 18:36
  sharing
• 18:36
  that
• 18:36
  moment
• 18:36
  with
• 18:36
  him.
• 18:37
  Yeah,
• 18:38
  that
• 18:38
  was
• 18:38
  certainly
• 18:38
  tremendous,
• 18:39
  and
• 18:39
  I'm
• 18:40
  glad
• 18:40
  you
• 18:40
  and
• 18:40
  Howie
• 18:41
  have
• 18:41
  that
• 18:41
  relationship.
• 18:42
  And
• 18:43
  I'm
• 18:43
  a
• 18:43
  Met
• 18:43
  fan,
• 18:43
  Stefan,
• 18:44
  so
• 18:45
  I
• 18:45
  know
• 18:46
  his
• 18:46
  talent
• 18:47
  and
• 18:47
  his
• 18:48
  definite
• 18:49
  love
• 18:49
  for
• 18:50
  the
• 18:50
  Mets,
• 18:51
  and
• 18:51
  he
• 18:51
  does
• 18:52
  a
• 18:52
  great
• 18:52
  job,
• 18:52
  and
• 18:52
  we
• 18:53
  look
• 18:53
  forward
• 18:53
  to
• 18:54
  hearing
• 18:54
  him
• 18:54
  every
• 18:55
  spring,
• 18:55
  that
• 18:55
  is
• 18:55
  for
• 18:56
  sure.
• 18:57
  Now,
• 18:57
  when
• 18:57
  you
• 18:58
  joined
• 18:58
  the
• 18:58
  Rangers,
• 18:59
  Stephon,
• 19:00
  were
• 19:01
  you
• 19:01
  apprehensive
• 19:02
  about
• 19:02
  meeting
• 19:03
  your
• 19:04
  idol,
• 19:04
  Mark
• 19:04
  Messier?
• 19:06
  That
• 19:06
  happened
• 19:06
  very
• 19:07
  quick.
• 19:08
  I
• 19:08
  remember
• 19:09
  getting
• 19:09
  the
• 19:09
  call
• 19:10
  the
• 19:10
  day
• 19:10
  before
• 19:10
  in
• 19:11
  Chicago.
• 19:12
  Like
• 19:13
  I
• 19:13
  said,
• 19:13
  we
• 19:13
  didn't
• 19:13
  have
• 19:14
  the
• 19:14
  Internet.
• 19:14
  We
• 19:14
  didn't
• 19:15
  have
• 19:15
  the
• 19:15
  cell
• 19:15
  phone,
• 19:16
  didn't
• 19:16
  hear
• 19:16
  any
• 19:17
  rumors
• 19:17
  where
• 19:18
  I
• 19:18
  might
• 19:18
  be
• 19:18
  traded
• 19:19
  or
• 19:19
  not.
• 19:19
  And
• 19:20
  then
• 19:20
  when
• 19:20
  I
• 19:20
  get
• 19:20
  the
• 19:20
  call,
• 19:21
  when
• 19:21
  I
• 19:21
  went
• 19:21
  in
• 19:21
  the
• 19:21
  office
• 19:22
  in
• 19:22
  Chicago,
• 19:23
  it
• 19:24
  told
• 19:24
  me
• 19:24
  I
• 19:24
  got
• 19:24
  traded
• 19:25
  to
• 19:25
  the
• 19:25
  Rangers.
• 19:26
  It
• 19:26
  took
• 19:27
  took
• 19:28
  a
• 19:28
  while
• 19:28
  to
• 19:29
  realize,
• 19:30
  well,
• 19:30
  I
• 19:30
  have
• 19:30
  a
• 19:31
  chance
• 19:31
  to
• 19:31
  win
• 19:31
  the
• 19:31
  Stamina
• 19:32
  Cup.
• 19:32
  And
• 19:33
  then
• 19:33
  we
• 19:33
  flew,
• 19:34
  Brian
• 19:34
  Noonan
• 19:35
  and
• 19:35
  I,
• 19:35
  we
• 19:35
  flew
• 19:35
  to
• 19:35
  Calgary
• 19:36
  the
• 19:36
  next
• 19:36
  day.
• 19:37
  Took
• 19:37
  us
• 19:37
  the
• 19:37
  whole
• 19:37
  day
• 19:38
  to
• 19:38
  get
• 19:38
  there.
• 19:38
  And
• 19:39
  when
• 19:39
  we
• 19:39
  got
• 19:39
  to
• 19:40
  the
• 19:40
  rink,
• 19:41
  we
• 19:41
  had
• 19:41
  to
• 19:41
  focus
• 19:41
  on
• 19:42
  the
• 19:42
  game
• 19:42
  because
• 19:42
  we
• 19:42
  Were
• 19:43
  we
• 19:43
  got
• 19:43
  to
• 19:43
  the
• 19:44
  rink
• 19:44
  around
• 19:44
  5,
• 19:45
  5:30.
• 19:45
  We
• 19:46
  shook
• 19:46
  hands
• 19:46
  with
• 19:47
  everyone.
• 19:47
  Then
• 19:48
  we
• 19:48
  have
• 19:48
  to
• 19:48
  focus
• 19:49
  on
• 19:49
  our
• 19:49
  sticks
• 19:50
  and
• 19:50
  the
• 19:51
  new
• 19:51
  equipment,
• 19:51
  the
• 19:51
  new
• 19:52
  gloves,
• 19:52
  the
• 19:53
  new
• 19:53
  pants
• 19:53
  that
• 19:53
  you
• 19:54
  have
• 19:54
  to
• 19:54
  wear,
• 19:55
  the
• 19:55
  new
• 19:55
  helmet
• 19:56
  and
• 19:56
  everything.
• 19:56
  So
• 19:57
  you
• 19:57
  have
• 19:58
  to
• 19:58
  focus.
• 19:58
  And
• 19:58
  then
• 19:59
  the
• 19:59
  game
• 19:59
  started.
• 20:00
  And
• 20:00
  then
• 20:01
  the
• 20:01
  next
• 20:01
  day
• 20:01
  I
• 20:01
  realized,
• 20:02
  wow,
• 20:02
  I'm
• 20:02
  sitting
• 20:03
  next
• 20:03
  to
• 20:03
  Marc
• 20:03
  Messier
• 20:04
  and
• 20:05
  all
• 20:05
  the
• 20:05
  great
• 20:05
  Rangers
• 20:06
  that
• 20:06
  we
• 20:07
  now
• 20:07
  they're
• 20:07
  going
• 20:07
  to
• 20:07
  be
• 20:08
  my
• 20:08
  teammates
• 20:08
  because
• 20:09
  we
• 20:09
  played
• 20:09
  them
• 20:09
  a
• 20:09
  few
• 20:09
  weeks
• 20:10
  before
• 20:10
  and
• 20:11
  they
• 20:11
  destroyed
• 20:12
  us,
• 20:12
  I
• 20:12
  think
• 20:12
  eight
• 20:12
  nothing.
• 20:13
  And
• 20:13
  I
• 20:14
  could
• 20:14
  not
• 20:14
  believe
• 20:14
  how
• 20:14
  good
• 20:15
  they
• 20:15
  were.
• 20:15
  So
• 20:15
  that's
• 20:15
  why
• 20:16
  I
• 20:16
  was
• 20:16
  a
• 20:16
  little
• 20:16
  shocked
• 20:16
  when
• 20:17
  I
• 20:17
  got
• 20:17
  traded
• 20:17
  to
• 20:17
  them.
• 20:18
  I
• 20:19
  said
• 20:19
  that
• 20:19
  many,
• 20:19
  many
• 20:20
  times.
• 20:20
  I
• 20:20
  didn't
• 20:20
  think
• 20:21
  I
• 20:21
  was
• 20:21
  going
• 20:21
  to
• 20:22
  have
• 20:22
  a
• 20:23
  key
• 20:23
  role.
• 20:23
  I
• 20:23
  thought
• 20:24
  I
• 20:24
  was
• 20:24
  there
• 20:24
  just
• 20:25
  in
• 20:25
  case
• 20:25
  someone
• 20:25
  was
• 20:26
  going
• 20:26
  to
• 20:26
  be
• 20:26
  injured.
• 20:27
  And
• 20:27
  then
• 20:27
  I
• 20:28
  would
• 20:28
  step
• 20:28
  into
• 20:28
  any
• 20:29
  situation.
• 20:30
  To
• 20:30
  my
• 20:30
  surprise,
• 20:31
  I
• 20:31
  was
• 20:31
  put
• 20:31
  on
• 20:31
  the
• 20:32
  line
• 20:32
  with
• 20:32
  Kovalev
• 20:33
  and
• 20:33
  Larmor
• 20:34
  on
• 20:34
  my
• 20:34
  very
• 20:35
  first
• 20:35
  game.
• 20:35
  And
• 20:36
  that
• 20:36
  was
• 20:36
  my
• 20:36
  line
• 20:36
  for
• 20:37
  Trout
• 20:37
  for
• 20:37
  the
• 20:37
  rest
• 20:38
  of
• 20:38
  the
• 20:38
  season.
• 20:39
  And
• 20:39
  you
• 20:39
  capitalized
• 20:40
  on
• 20:40
  it.
• 20:41
  Excuse
• 20:41
  me.
• 20:42
  That
• 20:42
  is
• 20:42
  for
• 20:42
  sure.
• 20:43
  Now,
• 20:43
  we
• 20:43
  spoke
• 20:43
  a
• 20:43
  little
• 20:44
  earlier
• 20:44
  about
• 20:45
  how
• 20:46
  the
• 20:47
  great
• 20:47
  goal
• 20:48
  still
• 20:48
  affects
• 20:49
  you,
• 20:50
  but
• 20:51
  I
• 20:51
  don't
• 20:51
  know
• 20:51
  if
• 20:52
  you
• 20:52
  realize
• 20:52
  we
• 20:53
  touched
• 20:53
  on
• 20:53
  a
• 20:53
  little
• 20:54
  bit
• 20:54
  earlier
• 20:54
  the
• 20:54
  impact
• 20:55
  you
• 20:56
  had
• 20:56
  on
• 20:56
  others.
• 20:57
  I
• 20:57
  mean,
• 20:57
  the
• 20:57
  Rangers
• 20:58
  are
• 20:58
  a
• 20:59
  storied,
• 21:00
  legendary
• 21:00
  franchise,
• 21:01
  one
• 21:01
  of
• 21:01
  the
• 21:02
  original
• 21:02
  six
• 21:03
  in
• 21:03
  the
• 21:03
  NHL.
• 21:04
  They've
• 21:04
  had
• 21:05
  some
• 21:05
  legendary
• 21:06
  hockey
• 21:06
  names
• 21:07
  have
• 21:07
  passed
• 21:07
  through
• 21:09
  the
• 21:09
  portals
• 21:10
  of
• 21:10
  Madison
• 21:11
  Square
• 21:11
  Garden,
• 21:11
  both
• 21:11
  the
• 21:12
  old
• 21:12
  one
• 21:12
  and
• 21:12
  the
• 21:13
  new
• 21:13
  one.
• 21:14
  You
• 21:14
  really
• 21:15
  affected
• 21:15
  people's
• 21:16
  lives,
• 21:16
  Stefan.
• 21:18
  Well,
• 21:19
  like
• 21:19
  I
• 21:19
  said,
• 21:19
  it
• 21:19
  took
• 21:20
  me
• 21:20
  a
• 21:20
  while
• 21:20
  to
• 21:20
  realize
• 21:21
  it.
• 21:22
  My
• 21:23
  first
• 21:23
  game
• 21:23
  back
• 21:23
  as
• 21:23
  an
• 21:24
  alumni,
• 21:25
  I
• 21:25
  was
• 21:25
  signing
• 21:25
  autograph
• 21:26
  and
• 21:26
  one
• 21:26
  of
• 21:26
  the
• 21:27
  security
• 21:27
  people
• 21:28
  asked
• 21:28
  me
• 21:29
  and
• 21:29
  said,
• 21:29
  how
• 21:30
  do
• 21:30
  you
• 21:30
  want
• 21:30
  to
• 21:30
  go
• 21:30
  along
• 21:31
  with
• 21:31
  sign
• 21:31
  an
• 21:31
  autograph?
• 21:32
  I
• 21:33
  said,
• 21:33
  well,
• 21:33
  I
• 21:34
  never
• 21:34
  said
• 21:34
  no
• 21:34
  to
• 21:34
  an
• 21:35
  autograph,
• 21:35
  but
• 21:36
  I
• 21:36
  said,
• 21:36
  how
• 21:36
  many
• 21:36
  people
• 21:36
  there
• 21:37
  there
• 21:37
  is.
• 21:38
  For
• 21:38
  how
• 21:38
  many
• 21:38
  people
• 21:39
  do
• 21:39
  you
• 21:39
  want
• 21:39
  me
• 21:39
  to
• 21:40
  sign?
• 21:40
  And
• 21:40
  he
• 21:41
  goes,
• 21:41
  look
• 21:41
  around.
• 21:41
  And
• 21:42
  people
• 21:43
  kind
• 21:43
  of
• 21:43
  did
• 21:44
  half
• 21:44
  the
• 21:44
  rank
• 21:45
  at
• 21:45
  Madison
• 21:45
  Square
• 21:46
  Garden,
• 21:46
  the
• 21:47
  former
• 21:47
  line,
• 21:48
  to
• 21:49
  get
• 21:49
  my
• 21:49
  autograph.
• 21:49
  That
• 21:50
  was
• 21:50
  the
• 21:50
  first
• 21:50
  time
• 21:50
  they
• 21:51
  see
• 21:51
  me
• 21:51
  back
• 21:51
  at
• 21:51
  the
• 21:51
  Garden.
• 21:52
  And
• 21:52
  I
• 21:53
  was
• 21:53
  overwhelmed.
• 21:54
  And
• 21:54
  There
• 21:54
  was
• 21:54
  like
• 21:54
  10
• 21:55
  minutes
• 21:55
  left
• 21:55
  in
• 21:55
  the
• 21:55
  game.
• 21:56
  And
• 21:56
  I
• 21:56
  told
• 21:56
  the
• 21:56
  security
• 21:57
  people,
• 21:58
  close
• 21:58
  the
• 21:58
  line
• 21:58
  at
• 21:58
  the
• 21:59
  end
• 21:59
  and
• 22:00
  let's
• 22:01
  get
• 22:01
  to
• 22:01
  work.
• 22:01
  So
• 22:01
  I
• 22:01
  signed
• 22:02
  autographs.
• 22:03
  I
• 22:03
  signed
• 22:04
  maybe
• 22:04
  two,
• 22:04
  300
• 22:05
  autographs
• 22:05
  at
• 22:06
  the
• 22:06
  last
• 22:06
  10
• 22:07
  minutes.
• 22:08
  But
• 22:08
  that's
• 22:08
  my
• 22:08
  life
• 22:09
  the
• 22:09
  last
• 22:09
  30
• 22:09
  years.
• 22:11
  I
• 22:11
  get
• 22:11
  recognized
• 22:13
  often
• 22:14
  when
• 22:14
  I
• 22:14
  go
• 22:14
  back
• 22:14
  to
• 22:15
  the
• 22:15
  Garden.
• 22:16
  I
• 22:17
  struggled
• 22:17
  with
• 22:17
  a
• 22:17
  lot
• 22:18
  of
• 22:18
  things
• 22:18
  in
• 22:18
  my
• 22:18
  personal
• 22:19
  life,
• 22:19
  but
• 22:19
  every
• 22:20
  time
• 22:20
  I
• 22:20
  come
• 22:20
  to
• 22:21
  the
• 22:21
  Garden,
• 22:21
  the
• 22:21
  fan,
• 22:22
  the
• 22:22
  Great
• 22:22
  fan.
• 22:23
  They
• 22:23
  make
• 22:24
  me
• 22:24
  believe
• 22:24
  that
• 22:24
  I'm
• 22:25
  bigger
• 22:25
  than
• 22:26
  sometimes
• 22:27
  bigger
• 22:27
  than
• 22:27
  life.
• 22:27
  Sometimes
• 22:28
  I
• 22:28
  don't
• 22:28
  believe
• 22:28
  it,
• 22:29
  but
• 22:29
  I
• 22:30
  think
• 22:30
  I
• 22:30
  became
• 22:31
  a
• 22:31
  very
• 22:31
  good
• 22:32
  ambassador
• 22:33
  for
• 22:33
  that
• 22:33
  moment.
• 22:34
  Not
• 22:34
  everyone
• 22:34
  deals
• 22:35
  with
• 22:35
  it
• 22:36
  the
• 22:37
  same
• 22:37
  way.
• 22:38
  I
• 22:38
  get
• 22:39
  it
• 22:39
  now.
• 22:39
  And
• 22:39
  the
• 22:39
  fans,
• 22:40
  sometimes
• 22:40
  I
• 22:40
  see
• 22:41
  their
• 22:41
  little
• 22:41
  shy
• 22:42
  to
• 22:42
  meet
• 22:42
  me.
• 22:43
  I'm
• 22:43
  the
• 22:43
  one
• 22:43
  now
• 22:43
  who
• 22:44
  goes
• 22:44
  forward
• 22:45
  and
• 22:45
  introduce
• 22:46
  myself,
• 22:46
  taking
• 22:46
  pictures,
• 22:47
  sending
• 22:47
  autographs,
• 22:48
  talking
• 22:49
  to
• 22:49
  the
• 22:49
  kids.
• 22:51
  But
• 22:51
  I
• 22:51
  don't
• 22:51
  know
• 22:51
  how
• 22:52
  many
• 22:52
  times
• 22:52
  I
• 22:52
  get
• 22:52
  hugs
• 22:53
  from
• 22:53
  strangers.
• 22:54
  And
• 22:54
  it's
• 22:55
  weird
• 22:55
  because
• 22:56
  they
• 22:56
  hug
• 22:56
  me
• 22:57
  and
• 22:57
  they
• 22:57
  don't
• 22:57
  want
• 22:57
  to
• 22:57
  let
• 22:57
  go.
• 22:58
  The
• 22:59
  man
• 22:59
  could
• 22:59
  be
• 22:59
  80
• 22:59
  years
• 23:00
  old.
• 23:00
  He
• 23:00
  goes,
• 23:00
  I've
• 23:00
  been
• 23:01
  waiting
• 23:01
  30
• 23:02
  years
• 23:02
  to
• 23:02
  meet
• 23:02
  you,
• 23:03
  and
• 23:03
  finally
• 23:04
  I
• 23:04
  wanted
• 23:04
  to
• 23:04
  say
• 23:05
  thank
• 23:05
  you
• 23:05
  for
• 23:06
  what
• 23:06
  you
• 23:06
  accomplished
• 23:06
  in
• 23:07
  1994.
• 23:07
  So
• 23:08
  at
• 23:09
  some
• 23:09
  point,
• 23:10
  how
• 23:10
  can
• 23:10
  you
• 23:10
  not
• 23:11
  respect
• 23:11
  that?
• 23:12
  And
• 23:13
  like
• 23:13
  I
• 23:13
  said,
• 23:13
  it's
• 23:14
  my
• 23:14
  life
• 23:14
  the
• 23:14
  last
• 23:14
  30
• 23:15
  years,
• 23:15
  and
• 23:16
  I
• 23:16
  want
• 23:16
  to
• 23:16
  keep
• 23:16
  it
• 23:16
  going
• 23:17
  nice.
• 23:17
  I
• 23:18
  mean,
• 23:19
  as
• 23:19
  I
• 23:19
  said,
• 23:20
  you
• 23:20
  affected
• 23:20
  people's
• 23:21
  lives.
• 23:21
  You
• 23:22
  deal
• 23:22
  with
• 23:22
  it
• 23:23
  in
• 23:23
  a
• 23:23
  great
• 23:24
  way.
• 23:24
  The
• 23:25
  Ranger
• 23:25
  fans
• 23:26
  are
• 23:26
  really
• 23:27
  a
• 23:27
  loyal
• 23:28
  bunch.
• 23:28
  They've
• 23:29
  stuck
• 23:29
  with
• 23:29
  that
• 23:30
  team
• 23:30
  1940
• 23:31
  to
• 23:31
  1994,
• 23:33
  and
• 23:34
  they're
• 23:34
  still
• 23:34
  waiting
• 23:35
  for
• 23:35
  another
• 23:35
  one.
• 23:36
  So
• 23:37
  they
• 23:37
  got
• 23:37
  a
• 23:37
  good
• 23:38
  chance
• 23:38
  this
• 23:38
  year.
• 23:38
  So
• 23:39
  we'll
• 23:39
  see
• 23:39
  what
• 23:39
  happens.
• 23:41
  Your
• 23:41
  son
• 23:41
  and
• 23:41
  your
• 23:42
  daughter
• 23:42
  played
• 23:43
  hockey?
• 23:44
  My
• 23:44
  daughter
• 23:45
  played.
• 23:46
  She's
• 23:46
  been
• 23:46
  retired
• 23:47
  for
• 23:47
  a
• 23:47
  few
• 23:47
  years.
• 23:49
  She
• 23:49
  was
• 23:49
  very
• 23:50
  good.
• 23:50
  She
• 23:50
  was
• 23:50
  a
• 23:50
  defenseman
• 23:51
  and
• 23:52
  in
• 23:53
  Quebec,
• 23:55
  I
• 23:55
  wanted
• 23:55
  to
• 23:56
  send
• 23:56
  her.
• 23:56
  I
• 23:57
  left
• 23:57
  home
• 23:57
  when
• 23:57
  I
• 23:57
  was
• 23:57
  15.
• 23:58
  A
• 23:58
  lot
• 23:58
  of
• 23:58
  hockey
• 23:59
  players,
• 23:59
  if
• 23:59
  you
• 24:00
  want
• 24:00
  to
• 24:00
  be.
• 24:00
  If
• 24:01
  you
• 24:01
  want
• 24:01
  to
• 24:01
  have
• 24:01
  a
• 24:01
  career
• 24:01
  out
• 24:01
  of
• 24:02
  it,
• 24:02
  you
• 24:02
  need
• 24:02
  to
• 24:02
  at
• 24:03
  some
• 24:03
  point
• 24:03
  make
• 24:04
  that
• 24:04
  tough
• 24:04
  decision
• 24:04
  to
• 24:05
  leave
• 24:05
  home.
• 24:05
  So
• 24:06
  I
• 24:06
  sent
• 24:06
  my
• 24:06
  daughter
• 24:07
  Allison
• 24:07
  to
• 24:07
  Lake
• 24:07
  Placid
• 24:08
  because
• 24:09
  Mike
• 24:09
  Richter
• 24:10
  went
• 24:10
  to
• 24:10
  Lake
• 24:10
  Placid
• 24:11
  and
• 24:11
  he.
• 24:11
  He
• 24:11
  kind
• 24:12
  of
• 24:12
  preached
• 24:12
  for
• 24:13
  the
• 24:13
  school,
• 24:13
  that
• 24:14
  Northwood
• 24:14
  school
• 24:14
  that
• 24:15
  he
• 24:15
  went
• 24:15
  to.
• 24:15
  So
• 24:16
  she
• 24:16
  went
• 24:16
  there
• 24:16
  for
• 24:16
  two
• 24:17
  years.
• 24:17
  She
• 24:17
  was
• 24:17
  recruited
• 24:18
  by
• 24:18
  about
• 24:19
  15
• 24:19
  different
• 24:20
  schools
• 24:20
  in
• 24:20
  college,
• 24:21
  and
• 24:21
  she
• 24:21
  decided
• 24:22
  to
• 24:22
  go
• 24:22
  to
• 24:22
  Maine
• 24:23
  University,
• 24:23
  which
• 24:24
  she
• 24:24
  played
• 24:24
  for
• 24:25
  four
• 24:25
  years,
• 24:26
  to
• 24:26
  retire
• 24:26
  after
• 24:27
  that.
• 24:27
  So
• 24:28
  my
• 24:28
  son
• 24:28
  was
• 24:28
  drafted
• 24:29
  to
• 24:30
  by
• 24:30
  2012,
• 24:31
  Steph
• 24:32
  Jr.
• 24:32
  Was
• 24:32
  drafted
• 24:33
  by
• 24:33
  the
• 24:33
  Devils
• 24:34
  in
• 24:34
  the
• 24:35
  first
• 24:35
  round,
• 24:35
  and
• 24:35
  Mr.
• 24:36
  Lamorello
• 24:37
  thought
• 24:38
  it
• 24:38
  was
• 24:38
  a
• 24:38
  great
• 24:39
  pick.
• 24:39
  Steph
• 24:39
  played
• 24:40
  a
• 24:40
  few
• 24:40
  games
• 24:40
  for
• 24:40
  the
• 24:40
  Devils
• 24:41
  and
• 24:41
  then
• 24:42
  he
• 24:42
  went
• 24:42
  on
• 24:42
  to
• 24:42
  play
• 24:42
  for
• 24:43
  different
• 24:43
  teams.
• 24:44
  He's
• 24:44
  still
• 24:44
  playing
• 24:44
  right
• 24:45
  now.
• 24:45
  He's
• 24:45
  31
• 24:46
  years
• 24:46
  old.
• 24:46
  He
• 24:47
  still
• 24:47
  plays.
• 24:48
  He's
• 24:48
  in
• 24:48
  the
• 24:48
  American
• 24:48
  Hockey
• 24:49
  League
• 24:49
  in
• 24:50
  Cleveland
• 24:50
  for
• 24:50
  the
• 24:50
  Blue
• 24:50
  Jackets
• 24:51
  farm
• 24:51
  team.
• 24:51
  So
• 24:52
  the
• 24:53
  kid,
• 24:54
  he's
• 24:54
  the
• 24:55
  captain
• 24:55
  there.
• 24:55
  He's
• 24:56
  a
• 24:56
  great
• 24:56
  leader.
• 24:57
  He's
• 24:57
  got
• 24:57
  two
• 24:58
  kids,
• 24:58
  and
• 24:59
  I'm
• 24:59
  so
• 25:00
  proud
• 25:00
  of
• 25:00
  both
• 25:00
  of
• 25:01
  them.
• 25:01
  I'm
• 25:01
  so
• 25:01
  proud
• 25:01
  Also
• 25:02
  for
• 25:02
  my
• 25:02
  son
• 25:02
  that
• 25:03
  he
• 25:03
  keeps
• 25:03
  on
• 25:03
  playing
• 25:04
  because
• 25:04
  it's
• 25:04
  not
• 25:04
  easy
• 25:05
  to
• 25:05
  have
• 25:05
  the
• 25:06
  same
• 25:06
  name
• 25:06
  and
• 25:07
  to
• 25:07
  be
• 25:07
  in
• 25:07
  the
• 25:07
  shadow
• 25:08
  of
• 25:09
  the
• 25:09
  New
• 25:09
  York
• 25:10
  Ranger
• 25:10
  legend
• 25:10
  at
• 25:11
  some
• 25:11
  point.
• 25:11
  And
• 25:12
  the
• 25:12
  reporters
• 25:13
  kept
• 25:13
  on
• 25:13
  asking
• 25:14
  him
• 25:14
  early
• 25:15
  in
• 25:15
  his
• 25:15
  career
• 25:16
  that
• 25:16
  are
• 25:16
  you
• 25:16
  going
• 25:17
  to
• 25:18
  how
• 25:18
  many
• 25:18
  score
• 25:18
  how
• 25:19
  many
• 25:19
  goals
• 25:19
  and
• 25:19
  overtime
• 25:20
  you're
• 25:20
  going
• 25:20
  to
• 25:20
  score
• 25:20
  in
• 25:20
  your
• 25:20
  life.
• 25:21
  I
• 25:21
  thought
• 25:21
  it
• 25:21
  was
• 25:21
  unfair,
• 25:22
  but
• 25:23
  my
• 25:23
  son
• 25:24
  kind
• 25:24
  of
• 25:26
  dealt
• 25:27
  with
• 25:27
  it
• 25:27
  very,
• 25:28
  very
• 25:28
  professionally
• 25:29
  and
• 25:29
  I'm
• 25:30
  very
• 25:30
  proud
• 25:30
  of
• 25:30
  that.
• 25:31
  Stephon
• 25:31
  Matteau
• 25:32
  with
• 25:32
  us
• 25:32
  tonight
• 25:33
  on
• 25:33
  Sports
• 25:33
  Talk
• 25:33
  New
• 25:34
  York
• 25:34
  Now.
• 25:34
  It's
• 25:35
  kind
• 25:35
  of
• 25:35
  ironic,
• 25:35
  Stephon,
• 25:36
  that
• 25:37
  he
• 25:37
  was
• 25:37
  drafted
• 25:38
  by
• 25:38
  the
• 25:38
  team
• 25:39
  that
• 25:39
  you
• 25:39
  scored
• 25:39
  your
• 25:40
  goal
• 25:40
  against.
• 25:42
  It's
• 25:42
  like
• 25:43
  they
• 25:43
  were
• 25:43
  trying
• 25:43
  to
• 25:43
  break
• 25:44
  a
• 25:44
  curse
• 25:44
  or
• 25:44
  something
• 25:45
  there
• 25:45
  with
• 25:45
  the
• 25:45
  Devils
• 25:46
  picking
• 25:46
  your
• 25:46
  son.
• 25:47
  Well,
• 25:48
  Mr.
• 25:48
  Lamarello
• 25:49
  is
• 25:49
  one
• 25:49
  of
• 25:49
  the
• 25:49
  best
• 25:50
  executive
• 25:50
  person
• 25:51
  in
• 25:51
  the
• 25:52
  National
• 25:52
  Archae
• 25:53
  League
• 25:53
  history.
• 25:53
  Right?
• 25:54
  Very
• 25:54
  classy
• 25:55
  man.
• 25:56
  He
• 25:56
  met
• 25:56
  the
• 25:56
  family
• 25:57
  after
• 25:57
  the,
• 25:57
  during
• 25:57
  the
• 25:57
  draft,
• 25:58
  after
• 25:58
  the
• 25:58
  draft.
• 25:59
  And
• 26:00
  I
• 26:00
  really
• 26:01
  believed
• 26:01
  that
• 26:02
  he
• 26:02
  was
• 26:02
  going
• 26:02
  to
• 26:02
  take
• 26:02
  care
• 26:03
  of
• 26:03
  them,
• 26:03
  which
• 26:03
  he
• 26:03
  did.
• 26:04
  And
• 26:06
  to
• 26:06
  be
• 26:06
  drafted,
• 26:07
  it's
• 26:07
  one
• 26:07
  thing.
• 26:08
  To
• 26:08
  make
• 26:08
  the
• 26:08
  team,
• 26:09
  it's
• 26:09
  one
• 26:09
  thing.
• 26:09
  But
• 26:10
  to
• 26:10
  stay
• 26:10
  in
• 26:10
  the
• 26:10
  National
• 26:10
  Hockey
• 26:11

• 26:11
  for
• 26:11
  a
• 26:12
  long
• 26:12
  period
• 26:12
  of
• 26:12
  time,
• 26:12
  it's
• 26:13
  a
• 26:13
  different
• 26:13
  world.
• 26:14
  And
• 26:15
  Steph
• 26:15
  Jr.
• 26:16
  Played
• 26:16
  about
• 26:16
  75
• 26:17
  games,
• 26:18
  80
• 26:18
  games
• 26:18
  in
• 26:18
  the
• 26:18
  NHL
• 26:19
  career
• 26:19
  in
• 26:20
  12
• 26:20
  year,
• 26:21
  13
• 26:21
  year
• 26:21
  career.
• 26:23
  But
• 26:23
  he
• 26:23
  still
• 26:23
  plays.
• 26:24
  He's
• 26:25
  still
• 26:25
  very
• 26:25
  passionate
• 26:26
  about
• 26:26
  the
• 26:26
  game.
• 26:27
  But
• 26:27
  it's
• 26:27
  pretty
• 26:28
  ironic

  I

  to
• 26:47
  ask
• 26:48
  you
• 26:48
  about
• 26:48
  your
• 26:49
  foundation.
• 26:50
  Can

  you
• 26:50
  tell
• 26:50
  us
• 26:51
  more
• 26:51
  about
• 26:51
  that?
• 26:52
  Well,
• 26:53
  when
• 26:53
  I
• 26:53
  retired
• 26:54
  24
• 26:55
  years
• 26:55
  ago,
• 26:56
  23
• 26:56
  years
• 26:56
  ago
• 26:56
  already,
• 26:58
  you
• 26:58
  take
• 26:58
  a
• 26:58
  few
• 26:59
  years
• 26:59
  off,
• 26:59
  you
• 26:59
  don't
• 26:59
  know
• 27:00
  what
• 27:00
  to
• 27:00
  do.
• 27:00
  I
• 27:00
  didn't
• 27:00
  know
• 27:00
  what
• 27:01
  to
• 27:01
  do
• 27:01
  at
• 27:01
  the
• 27:01
  time.
• 27:02
  And
• 27:02
  I
• 27:03
  too,
• 27:03
  I
• 27:03
  own
• 27:04
  a
• 27:04
  restaurant.
• 27:04
  I
• 27:04
  didn't
• 27:05
  like
• 27:05
  it.
• 27:05
  I
• 27:05
  try.
• 27:06
  I
• 27:06
  own
• 27:06
  a
• 27:06
  travel
• 27:07
  agency.
• 27:07
  I
• 27:08
  did
• 27:08
  many,
• 27:08
  many
• 27:08
  things
• 27:09
  to
• 27:10
  realize
• 27:10
  I
• 27:10
  didn't
• 27:11
  like
• 27:11
  it,
• 27:11
  any
• 27:11
  of
• 27:11
  that.
• 27:12
  So
• 27:12
  I
• 27:13
  then
• 27:13
  I
• 27:13
  went,
• 27:13
  I
• 27:13
  went
• 27:13
  to
• 27:14
  a
• 27:14
  school
• 27:14
  in
• 27:14
  Pennsylvania.
• 27:15
  A
• 27:15
  friend
• 27:16
  of
• 27:16
  mine,
• 27:16
  Steve
• 27:16
  Capu
• 27:17
  Ferry,
• 27:17
  he
• 27:18
  owns
• 27:19
  a
• 27:19
  private
• 27:19
  school,
• 27:20
  trouble
• 27:20
  kids
• 27:21
  who
• 27:21
  had
• 27:22
  they
• 27:23
  having
• 27:23
  a
• 27:24
  rough
• 27:24
  start
• 27:24
  in
• 27:25
  life
• 27:25
  and
• 27:25
  they
• 27:25
  bring
• 27:25
  athletes
• 27:26
  to
• 27:27
  support
• 27:27
  them,
• 27:27
  to
• 27:28
  talk
• 27:28
  to
• 27:28
  them.
• 27:28
  And
• 27:29
  the
• 27:29
  first
• 27:29
  time
• 27:30
  I
• 27:30
  visited
• 27:30
  those
• 27:31
  kids,
• 27:31
  I
• 27:31
  saw
• 27:31
  an
• 27:31
  impact
• 27:32
  that
• 27:33
  I
• 27:33
  brought
• 27:33
  to
• 27:33
  them.
• 27:33
  So
• 27:34
  I
• 27:35
  worked
• 27:35
  for
• 27:35
  Steve
• 27:35
  for
• 27:36
  10
• 27:36
  straight
• 27:36
  years.
• 27:37
  I
• 27:37
  would
• 27:37
  drive
• 27:37
  from
• 27:38
  Montreal
• 27:39
  to
• 27:39
  Pennsylvania
• 27:40
  once
• 27:40
  a
• 27:40
  month
• 27:41
  and
• 27:41
  then
• 27:42
  as
• 27:42
  someone
• 27:42
  in
• 27:43
  New
• 27:43
  York,
• 27:43
  I
• 27:43
  started
• 27:43
  my
• 27:44
  own
• 27:44
  program
• 27:44
  in
• 27:45
  New
• 27:45
  York
• 27:45
  and
• 27:46
  then
• 27:46
  I'm
• 27:47
  in
• 27:47
  about
• 27:47
  25,
• 27:48
  30
• 27:48
  schools
• 27:48
  here
• 27:49
  in
• 27:49
  the
• 27:49
  Bronx,
• 27:50
  Brooklyn
• 27:50
  and
• 27:51
  Queens.
• 27:51
  And
• 27:52
  we
• 27:52
  started
• 27:52
  the
• 27:53
  Stefan
• 27:53
  Matthew
• 27:53
  Foundation.
• 27:54
  We
• 27:55
  raise
• 27:55
  money,
• 27:55
  we
• 27:56
  try
• 27:56
  to
• 27:56
  buy
• 27:56
  some
• 27:56
  clothes
• 27:57
  for
• 27:57
  the
• 27:57
  kids.
• 27:58
  We
• 27:58
  try
• 27:58
  to
• 27:58
  feed
• 27:59
  families
• 28:00
  in
• 28:01
  needs.
• 28:02
  We
• 28:04
  a
• 28:04
  lot
• 28:04
  of
• 28:04
  things
• 28:04
  that
• 28:05
  we
• 28:05
  try
• 28:05
  to
• 28:05
  do
• 28:05
  and
• 28:06
  there's
• 28:06
  so
• 28:06
  many
• 28:06
  different
• 28:07
  foundations
• 28:07
  out
• 28:08
  there
• 28:08
  and
• 28:09
  mine
• 28:09
  is
• 28:10
  special
• 28:10
  to
• 28:10
  my
• 28:10
  heart
• 28:11
  because
• 28:11
  I
• 28:11
  know
• 28:12
  I
• 28:12
  can.
• 28:12
  My
• 28:12
  wife
• 28:12
  and
• 28:13
  I,
• 28:13
  we
• 28:13
  do,
• 28:14
  we
• 28:14
  have
• 28:14
  an
• 28:14
  impact
• 28:14
  on
• 28:15
  those
• 28:15
  families
• 28:15
  and
• 28:15
  the
• 28:15
  kids
• 28:16
  in
• 28:16
  need.
• 28:16
  You
• 28:17
  certainly
• 28:17
  do.
• 28:17
  Folks
• 28:18
  can
• 28:18
  check
• 28:18
  out
• 28:18
  the
• 28:18
  Stefan
• 28:19
  Matteau
• 28:20
  foundation
• 28:20
  online.
• 28:21
  There's
• 28:21
  a
• 28:22
  website.
• 28:22
  What's
• 28:22
  the
• 28:23
  address
• 28:23
  for
• 28:23
  the
• 28:23
  website?
• 28:24
  Stefan?
• 28:25
  The
• 28:25
  Stefan
• 28:25
  Matteu
• 28:26
  foundation.com
• 28:28
  I
• 28:28
  think
• 28:29
  if
• 28:29
  I
• 28:30
  recall
• 28:30
  it
• 28:31
  so
• 28:32
  people
• 28:32
  can
• 28:32
  donate.
• 28:33
  I've
• 28:33
  done
• 28:33
  a
• 28:33
  few
• 28:34
  events
• 28:34
  last
• 28:34
  year.
• 28:36
  A
• 28:36
  lot
• 28:36
  of
• 28:36
  people,
• 28:37
  the
• 28:37
  kids
• 28:37
  I
• 28:37
  try
• 28:38
  to,
• 28:38
  I
• 28:38
  struggle
• 28:38
  growing
• 28:39
  up
• 28:39
  with
• 28:39
  my
• 28:39
  anxiety
• 28:40
  attack.
• 28:40
  I
• 28:41
  get
• 28:41
  bullied.
• 28:41
  So
• 28:42
  my
• 28:42
  program
• 28:42
  is
• 28:42
  built
• 28:43
  on
• 28:43
  anti
• 28:44
  bullying.
• 28:45
  Try
• 28:45
  to
• 28:45
  help
• 28:46
  the
• 28:46
  kids
• 28:46
  who
• 28:46
  the
• 28:47
  most
• 28:47
  shy
• 28:47
  kids
• 28:48
  in
• 28:48
  the
• 28:48
  program.
• 28:49
  I
• 28:49
  can
• 28:49
  explain
• 28:50
  to
• 28:50
  them
• 28:50
  how
• 28:50
  shy
• 28:51
  I
• 28:51
  was
• 28:51
  when

• 28:51
  12
• 28:52
  years
• 28:52
  old.
• 28:53
  And
• 28:54
  so
• 28:54
  I
• 28:54
  turn
• 28:54
  on.
• 28:55
  It's
• 28:55

• 31:40
  Hey.
• 31:40
  Hi,
• 31:41
  Bill.
• 31:41
  How
• 31:41
  are
• 31:41
  you
• 31:41
  doing?
• 31:42
  I'm
• 31:42
  glad
• 31:42
  to
• 31:43
  be
• 31:43
  here.
• 31:43
  We're
• 31:43
  doing
• 31:43
  great,
• 31:44
  Tim.
• 31:44
  Going
• 31:44
  great.
• 31:45
  Thanks
• 31:45
  for
• 31:45
  taking
• 31:45
  some
• 31:46
  time
• 31:46
  for
• 31:46
  us.
• 31:46
  Now,
• 31:47
  how
• 31:47
  did
• 31:47
  you
• 31:47
  get
• 31:48
  started
• 31:48
  acting
• 31:49
  at
• 31:49
  such
• 31:49
  a
• 31:49
  young
• 31:49
  age?
• 31:51
  You
• 31:51
  know,
• 31:51
  I
• 31:51
  just
• 31:52
  always
• 31:52
  wanted
• 31:52
  to
• 31:52
  be
• 31:52
  an
• 31:53
  actor.
• 31:53
  And
• 31:55
  my,
• 31:55
  the
• 31:55
  guy
• 31:56
  my
• 31:56
  mom
• 31:56
  worked
• 31:57
  for
• 31:57
  had
• 31:57
  a
• 31:57
  son
• 31:58
  my
• 31:58
  age
• 31:58
  who
• 31:59
  had
• 31:59
  an
• 31:59
  agent,
• 31:59
  got
• 32:00
  sent
• 32:00
  out
• 32:00
  for
• 32:00
  stuff
• 32:01
  and
• 32:02
  he
• 32:02
  didn't
• 32:02
  get
• 32:03
  certain
• 32:03
  parts.
• 32:03
  And
• 32:03
  then
• 32:03
  they
• 32:04
  said,
• 32:04
  well,
• 32:04
  why
• 32:04
  don't
• 32:04
  we
• 32:04
  just
• 32:04
  send
• 32:05
  Tim
• 32:05
  out
• 32:05
  too?
• 32:05
  So
• 32:06
  I
• 32:07
  lucked,
• 32:07
  I
• 32:07
  fell
• 32:07
  into
• 32:08
  that,
• 32:08
  you
• 32:08
  know,
• 32:08
  But
• 32:08
  I'd
• 32:08
  always
• 32:09
  wanted
• 32:09
  to
• 32:09
  be
• 32:09
  an
• 32:09
  actor.
• 32:09
  So
• 32:10
  it
• 32:10
  was
• 32:10
  like.
• 32:10
  That
• 32:10
  was,
• 32:11
  it
• 32:11
  was
• 32:12
  great.
• 32:12
  Yeah,
• 32:13
  it
• 32:13
  sure
• 32:13
  was.
• 32:13
  Now
• 32:14
  you
• 32:14
  played
• 32:15
  Mike
• 32:15
  Harmon
• 32:16
  and
• 32:16
  I
• 32:17
  watch
• 32:17
  Beaver
• 32:17
  every
• 32:18
  morning,
• 32:18
  few
• 32:18
  episodes
• 32:19
  of
• 32:19
  Leave
• 32:20
  it
• 32:20
  to
• 32:20
  Beaver.
• 32:21
  Still
• 32:21
  watching
• 32:21
  it.
• 32:22
  I'm
• 32:23
  a
• 32:23
  fan.
• 32:24
  I've
• 32:24
  had
• 32:24
  Jerry
• 32:24
  Mathers
• 32:25
  on
• 32:25
  the
• 32:25
  program
• 32:26
  a
• 32:26
  couple
• 32:26
  of
• 32:26
  times.
• 32:27
  You
• 32:27
  got
• 32:27
  any
• 32:28
  good
• 32:28
  stories
• 32:28
  from
• 32:29
  the
• 32:29
  Beaver
• 32:29
  set,
• 32:30
  Tim?
• 32:31
  Well,
• 32:31
  I
• 32:32
  gotta
• 32:32
  say,
• 32:33
  I
• 32:33
  made
• 32:33
  the
• 32:33
  cut.
• 32:34
  The
• 32:34
  Beaver
• 32:34
  invited
• 32:35
  me.
• 32:35
  Jerry
• 32:35
  Mathers
• 32:36
  invited
• 32:36
  me
• 32:36
  over
• 32:36
  to
• 32:37
  his
• 32:37
  house
• 32:37
  for
• 32:37
  my
• 32:38
  first
• 32:38
  Hollywood
• 32:38
  party.
• 32:39
  And
• 32:40
  it
• 32:40
  was,
• 32:40
  it
• 32:40
  was
• 32:40
  pretty
• 32:41
  spectacular.
• 32:41
  It
• 32:41
  was
• 32:41
  a
• 32:41
  pool
• 32:42
  party.
• 32:43
  And,
• 32:43
  you
• 32:43
  know,
• 32:43
  a
• 32:43
  lot
• 32:43
  of
• 32:44
  young
• 32:44
  actresses
• 32:44
  were
• 32:45
  there.
• 32:45
  I
• 32:45
  mean,
• 32:45
  you
• 32:45
  know,
• 32:45
  what
• 32:46
  are
• 32:46
  we,
• 32:46
  14,
• 32:46
  15?
• 32:47
  So
• 32:47
  it
• 32:47
  was
• 32:48
  like
• 32:48
  I
• 32:49
  thought
• 32:49
  I
• 32:49
  had
• 32:49
  arrived,
• 32:50
  you
• 32:50
  know.
• 32:53
  Yeah,
• 32:53
  well,
• 32:54
  you
• 32:55
  did
• 32:55
  well.
• 32:55
  I
• 32:55
  mean,
• 32:57
  you
• 32:57
  were
• 32:57
  no
• 32:57
  Larry
• 32:58
  Mondello,
• 32:59
  let's
• 32:59
  put
• 32:59
  it
• 32:59
  that
• 32:59
  way,
• 33:00
  Tim.
• 33:00
  But,
• 33:00
  you
• 33:00
  know,
• 33:01
  you
• 33:02
  did
• 33:02
  well.
• 33:02
  Now
• 33:03
  also
• 33:04
  the
• 33:04
  voice
• 33:05
  of
• 33:05
  Johnny
• 33:05
  Quest.
• 33:06
  How
• 33:06
  does
• 33:06
  one
• 33:07
  get
• 33:08
  a
• 33:08
  voiceover
• 33:09
  role
• 33:09
  like
• 33:09
  that?
• 33:10
  You
• 33:11
  know,
• 33:11
  what
• 33:11
  happens
• 33:11
  is
• 33:12
  I
• 33:12
  outgrew
• 33:13
  my
• 33:14
  kid
• 33:14
  acting.
• 33:15
  You
• 33:15
  know,
• 33:15
  my
• 33:16
  Beaver
• 33:17
  days,
• 33:17
  I
• 33:17
  just,
• 33:17
  you
• 33:17
  know,
• 33:17
  like
• 33:18
  I
• 33:18
  shot
• 33:18
  up
• 33:18
  maybe,
• 33:19
  you
• 33:19
  know,
• 33:19
  five
• 33:19
  or
• 33:20
  six
• 33:20
  inches.
• 33:20
  I
• 33:20
  didn't
• 33:20
  look
• 33:21
  like
• 33:21
  I
• 33:21
  was
• 33:22
  12
• 33:22
  anymore.
• 33:22
  So
• 33:23
  there
• 33:23
  was
• 33:23
  sort
• 33:23
  of
• 33:24
  a
• 33:24
  slowdown
• 33:25
  in
• 33:25
  getting
• 33:25
  those
• 33:26
  parts.
• 33:26
  And
• 33:26
  I
• 33:26
  just
• 33:26
  got
• 33:27
  an
• 33:27
  audition
• 33:27
  to
• 33:27
  go
• 33:27
  up
• 33:28
  and
• 33:28
  over
• 33:28
  to
• 33:29
  Hanna
• 33:29
  Barbera
• 33:30
  and
• 33:30
  do
• 33:30
  cartoon
• 33:31
  voice
• 33:31
  work.
• 33:32
  And
• 33:32
  luckily
• 33:33
  I
• 33:33
  got
• 33:33
  the
• 33:33
  job
• 33:34
  and,
• 33:34
  you
• 33:34
  know,
• 33:35
  because
• 33:35
  they
• 33:36
  wanted
• 33:36
  somebody
• 33:36
  who
• 33:37
  was,
• 33:37
  you
• 33:37
  know,
• 33:38
  sounded
• 33:38
  like
• 33:38
  A
• 33:38
  real
• 33:38
  kid.
• 33:39
  Not
• 33:40
  like
• 33:40
  some.
• 33:41
  Because
• 33:41
  it
• 33:41
  wasn't
• 33:41
  like
• 33:41
  the
• 33:41
  Flintstones
• 33:42
  or
• 33:42
  the
• 33:42
  Jetsons,
• 33:43
  which
• 33:43
  were
• 33:43
  shows
• 33:43
  that
• 33:44
  they
• 33:44
  did
• 33:44
  at
• 33:44
  the
• 33:44
  time.
• 33:45
  So.
• 33:46
  Yeah,
• 33:46
  so
• 33:46
  I
• 33:47
  just
• 33:47
  got
• 33:47
  lucky.
• 33:48
  Yeah.
• 33:49
  Great
• 33:50
  legendary
• 33:50
  show,
• 33:51
  Johnny
• 33:51
  Quest.
• 33:51
  Now
• 33:53
  yours,
• 33:53
  mine
• 33:54
  and
• 33:54
  ours.
• 33:55
  We
• 33:56
  saw
• 33:56
  that
• 33:56
  in
• 33:56
  the
• 33:56
  movies
• 33:57
  when
• 33:57
  we
• 33:57
  were
• 33:57
  kids.
• 33:58
  You
• 33:58
  played
• 33:58
  Henry
• 33:59
  Fonda's
• 34:00
  oldest
• 34:00
  son.
• 34:01
  Now,
• 34:02
  any
• 34:02
  interactions
• 34:03
  or
• 34:03
  lessons
• 34:04
  learned
• 34:04
  from
• 34:05
  the
• 34:05
  legends
• 34:06
  Henry
• 34:06
  Fonda
• 34:06
  and
• 34:07
  Lucille
• 34:07
  Ball?
• 34:08
  Well,
• 34:09
  both,
• 34:10
  you
• 34:10
  know,
• 34:10
  I
• 34:10
  mean,
• 34:11
  as
• 34:11
  being
• 34:12
  a
• 34:12
  young
• 34:12
  actor
• 34:12
  at
• 34:13
  that
• 34:13
  point,
• 34:13
  I
• 34:13
  got
• 34:14
  a
• 34:14
  chance
• 34:14
  to
• 34:15
  work
• 34:15
  with
• 34:16
  some,
• 34:16
  you
• 34:16
  know,
• 34:17
  the
• 34:17
  greats
• 34:17
  from
• 34:17
  the
• 34:17
  golden
• 34:18
  age,
• 34:18
  you
• 34:18
  know.
• 34:18
  And
• 34:18
  then
• 34:19
  Lucy
• 34:19
  came
• 34:19
  up
• 34:19
  through
• 34:20
  vaudeville
• 34:20
  and,
• 34:21
  you
• 34:21
  know,
• 34:22
  the
• 34:22
  40s
• 34:22
  and
• 34:23
  features,
• 34:24
  and
• 34:25
  Henry
• 34:26
  as
• 34:26
  well,
• 34:26
  you
• 34:27
  know,
• 34:27
  and
• 34:27
  he
• 34:27
  was
• 34:27
  a
• 34:27
  theater
• 34:27
  actor.
• 34:28
  Henry
• 34:29
  basically
• 34:30
  just
• 34:30
  said.
• 34:30
  I
• 34:31
  asked
• 34:31
  him,
• 34:31
  how
• 34:31
  does
• 34:32
  he
• 34:32
  approach
• 34:32
  acting?
• 34:32
  He
• 34:32
  said,
• 34:33
  basically,
• 34:33
  I
• 34:33
  walk
• 34:33
  in
• 34:33
  the
• 34:34
  room,
• 34:34
  I
• 34:34
  hit
• 34:34
  my
• 34:34
  mark,
• 34:35
  I
• 34:35
  look
• 34:35
  him
• 34:35
  in
• 34:35
  the
• 34:35
  eye
• 34:36
  and
• 34:36
  I
• 34:36
  tell
• 34:37
  him
• 34:37
  the
• 34:37
  truth.
• 34:38
  And
• 34:39
  it's
• 34:39
  just
• 34:39
  that
• 34:40
  simple.
• 34:40
  And
• 34:40
  he.
• 34:41
  That
• 34:42
  was
• 34:42
  his
• 34:42
  strength,
• 34:43
  was
• 34:43
  he?
• 34:43
  You
• 34:45
  didn't
• 34:45
  really
• 34:46
  see
• 34:46
  him
• 34:47
  acting.
• 34:47
  Now,
• 34:48
  Lucy,
• 34:48
  on
• 34:49
  the
• 34:49
  other
• 34:49
  hand,
• 34:50
  is
• 34:50
  a
• 34:50
  broad,
• 34:51
  physical
• 34:51
  comic.
• 34:52
  And,
• 34:52
  you
• 34:53
  know,
• 34:53
  that
• 34:53
  takes
• 34:54
  tremendous
• 34:54
  skill
• 34:55
  and
• 34:55
  preparation
• 34:57
  and
• 34:57
  rehearsal.
• 34:58
  And
• 34:59
  she
• 34:59
  was
• 34:59
  a
• 35:00
  taskmaster
• 35:00
  when
• 35:01
  she
• 35:01
  was
• 35:01
  on
• 35:01
  the
• 35:01
  set
• 35:02
  because
• 35:02
  most
• 35:03
  of
• 35:03
  the
• 35:03
  scenes
• 35:03
  with
• 35:04
  her
• 35:04
  were
• 35:05
  broad
• 35:05
  comic
• 35:06
  scenes.
• 35:07
  And
• 35:07
  so
• 35:08
  she
• 35:09
  required
• 35:09
  all
• 35:09
  of
• 35:10
  us
• 35:10
  kids
• 35:10
  to
• 35:10
  really
• 35:11
  be
• 35:11
  prepared.
• 35:12
  And,
• 35:12
  you
• 35:12
  know,
• 35:12
  also,
• 35:14
  I
• 35:14
  think
• 35:14
  she
• 35:15
  liked
• 35:15
  me
• 35:16
  because
• 35:16
  we
• 35:17
  had
• 35:17
  some
• 35:17
  very
• 35:17
  sort
• 35:18
  of
• 35:18
  normal
• 35:19
  scenes
• 35:19
  together.
• 35:20
  And
• 35:20
  I
• 35:20
  auditioned
• 35:21
  for
• 35:21
  her
• 35:21
  many
• 35:21
  times,
• 35:22
  and
• 35:23
  she
• 35:23
  just.
• 35:23
  I
• 35:23
  think
• 35:24
  she
• 35:24
  thought
• 35:24
  I
• 35:24
  was
• 35:24
  just
• 35:25
  too
• 35:25
  sensitive,
• 35:26
  and
• 35:26
  so
• 35:26
  she
• 35:27
  tried
• 35:27
  to
• 35:27
  toughen
• 35:27
  me
• 35:27
  up
• 35:28
  a
• 35:28
  bit.
• 35:28
  You
• 35:28
  know,
• 35:28
  she
• 35:28
  just,
• 35:29
  you
• 35:29
  know,
• 35:30
  entertainment
• 35:31
  business
• 35:31
  is
• 35:32
  a
• 35:32
  full
• 35:32
  contact
• 35:32
  sport.
• 35:33
  That
• 35:33
  was
• 35:34
  her
• 35:34
  approach.
• 35:35
  Yeah.
• 35:36
  Well,
• 35:36
  you
• 35:37
  certainly
• 35:37
  took
• 35:37
  that
• 35:38
  to
• 35:38
  heart.
• 35:38
  And
• 35:39
  Magnum
• 35:40
  Force,
• 35:41
  we
• 35:41
  remember
• 35:41
  you
• 35:42
  in
• 35:42
  Magnum
• 35:42
  Force
• 35:43
  working
• 35:43
  with
• 35:44
  Clint
• 35:44
  Eastwood.
• 35:45
  How
• 35:45
  was
• 35:45
  that?
• 35:45
  Yes.
• 35:46
  Oh,
• 35:47
  it
• 35:47
  was
• 35:47
  great.
• 35:47
  I
• 35:47
  mean,
• 35:48
  I
• 35:48
  was
• 35:49
  the
• 35:49
  first
• 35:49
  cop
• 35:49
  to
• 35:49
  get
• 35:49
  killed,
• 35:50
  Officer
• 35:51
  Sweet.
• 35:52
  And,
• 35:53
  you
• 35:54
  know,
• 35:54
  Clint,
• 35:55
  he
• 35:56
  was
• 35:56
  like
• 35:56
  Henry
• 35:56
  Fonda.
• 35:57
  I
• 35:57
  mean,
• 35:57
  he
• 35:57
  was
• 35:58
  just
• 35:59
  so
• 35:59
  simple.
• 36:01
  The
• 36:01
  first
• 36:01
  day
• 36:02
  we
• 36:02
  worked
• 36:02
  together,
• 36:03
  I
• 36:03
  offered
• 36:04
  to,
• 36:04
  you
• 36:04
  know,
• 36:05
  rehearse
• 36:06
  with
• 36:06
  him
• 36:06
  and
• 36:06
  run
• 36:06
  lines.
• 36:07
  And
• 36:07
  he
• 36:07
  said,
• 36:08
  no,
• 36:08
  no,
• 36:09
  I
• 36:09
  just.
• 36:09
  I
• 36:09
  think
• 36:09
  there's
• 36:10
  something
• 36:10
  special
• 36:10
  about
• 36:11
  the
• 36:11
  first
• 36:11
  time
• 36:12
  that
• 36:12
  the
• 36:13
  lines
• 36:13
  are
• 36:13
  set
• 36:13
  on
• 36:14
  camera,
• 36:14
  because
• 36:14
  he
• 36:15
  did.
• 36:15
  He
• 36:16
  felt
• 36:16
  the
• 36:16
  more
• 36:16
  you
• 36:17
  rehearsed,
• 36:18
  the
• 36:18
  more
• 36:18
  practiced
• 36:19
  it
• 36:19
  got,
• 36:20
  the
• 36:21
  more
• 36:21
  artificial
• 36:22
  it
• 36:22
  got.
• 36:22
  So
• 36:23
  he
• 36:23
  liked
• 36:24
  that.
• 36:24
  Just
• 36:24
  sort
• 36:24
  of
• 36:24
  rough
• 36:25
  edges
• 36:25
  about
• 36:25
  it,
• 36:26
  you
• 36:26
  know,
• 36:26
  And
• 36:27
  I
• 36:28
  didn't
• 36:28
  understand
• 36:29
  that.
• 36:29
  I
• 36:29
  thought,
• 36:29
  oh,
• 36:29
  you
• 36:29
  need
• 36:29
  to
• 36:30
  rehearse
• 36:30
  a
• 36:30
  lot.
• 36:30
  Until
• 36:31
  I
• 36:31
  got
• 36:31
  into
• 36:31
  the
• 36:32
  scene
• 36:32
  with
• 36:32
  him
• 36:32
  and
• 36:33
  I
• 36:33
  just
• 36:33
  felt
• 36:34
  how
• 36:35
  real
• 36:35
  he
• 36:35
  was
• 36:36
  and
• 36:36
  how
• 36:37
  truthful
• 36:37
  and
• 36:37
  honest
• 36:38
  he
• 36:38
  was.
• 36:38
  And
• 36:38
  he
• 36:38
  listened
• 36:39
  so
• 36:40
  carefully,
• 36:40
  and
• 36:41
  he
• 36:41
  was
• 36:41
  just.
• 36:42
  He
• 36:42
  Was
• 36:42
  one.
• 36:42
  I
• 36:43
  went
• 36:43
  home
• 36:43
  that
• 36:43
  night
• 36:43
  thinking,
• 36:44
  this
• 36:44
  guy
• 36:45
  is
• 36:45
  such
• 36:45
  a
• 36:45
  great
• 36:45
  actor.
• 36:46
  He's
• 36:46
  a
• 36:46
  wonderful
• 36:47
  actor.
• 36:47
  And
• 36:49
  you
• 36:50
  don't
• 36:50
  see
• 36:50
  him
• 36:51
  doing
• 36:51
  anything.
• 36:51
  He's
• 36:52
  just
• 36:52
  very
• 36:52
  strong.
• 36:53
  And,
• 36:53
  you
• 36:53
  know,
• 36:54
  I
• 36:55
  learned
• 36:55
  a
• 36:55
  lot
• 36:55
  from
• 36:56
  him,
• 36:56
  you
• 36:56
  know,
• 36:56
  about
• 36:57
  acting
• 36:57
  and
• 36:57
  directing,
• 36:58
  you
• 36:58
  know,
• 36:58
  so
• 36:59
  I
• 36:59
  must
• 36:59
  say.
• 37:00
  And
• 37:00
  each
• 37:00
  of
• 37:00
  those
• 37:00
  jobs
• 37:01
  that
• 37:01
  I
• 37:01
  had,
• 37:02
  you
• 37:02
  know,
• 37:02
  through
• 37:02
  my
• 37:03
  career,
• 37:04
  I
• 37:04
  was
• 37:04
  in
• 37:05
  a
• 37:05
  special
• 37:05
  place
• 37:05
  at
• 37:05
  a
• 37:06
  special
• 37:06
  time
• 37:06
  with,
• 37:06
  like,
• 37:06
  Lucy
• 37:07
  and
• 37:07
  Henry
• 37:08
  Fonda
• 37:08
  and
• 37:09
  Jackie
• 37:09
  Gleason
• 37:10
  and
• 37:10
  Bob
• 37:11
  Hope.
• 37:11
  And
• 37:12
  here
• 37:12
  with
• 37:13
  Clint,
• 37:13
  you
• 37:13
  know,
• 37:14
  these
• 37:14
  are
• 37:14
  the
• 37:14
  greats.
• 37:14
  And
• 37:14
  Clint's
• 37:15
  now.
• 37:15
  He's
• 37:15
  got
• 37:16
  a
• 37:16
  movie
• 37:16
  coming
• 37:16
  out
• 37:16
  now.
• 37:17
  He's
• 37:17
  what,
• 37:17
  93?
• 37:18
  Yeah,
• 37:18
  he's
• 37:19
  just,
• 37:19
  he's
• 37:20
  amazing.
• 37:20
  Still
• 37:20
  rolling?
• 37:21
  Yeah.
• 37:22
  Yeah,
• 37:22
  Right.
• 37:23
  We're
• 37:23
  speaking
• 37:23
  with
• 37:23
  Tim
• 37:24
  Matheson
• 37:24
  tonight
• 37:25
  on
• 37:25
  the
• 37:25
  program
• 37:26
  now,
• 37:26
  Animal
• 37:27
  House,
• 37:28
  as
• 37:28
  we
• 37:29
  said
• 37:29
  the
• 37:29
  other
• 37:29
  night
• 37:29
  when
• 37:30
  I
• 37:30
  met
• 37:30
  you
• 37:30
  in
• 37:30
  Huntington,
• 37:31
  I
• 37:31
  was
• 37:31
  in
• 37:31
  a
• 37:32
  fraternity,
• 37:32
  Delta
• 37:33
  Kappa
• 37:33
  Kappa,
• 37:34
  also
• 37:35
  maroon
• 37:36
  color,
• 37:37
  at
• 37:37
  SUNY
• 37:37
  Oswego
• 37:38
  on
• 37:38
  the
• 37:39
  shores
• 37:39
  of
• 37:39
  Lake
• 37:39
  Ontario
• 37:40
  up
• 37:40
  there
• 37:40
  where
• 37:41
  you
• 37:41
  get
• 37:41
  12ft
• 37:42
  of
• 37:42
  snow
• 37:42
  every
• 37:43
  winter.
• 37:44
  We
• 37:44
  went
• 37:44
  to
• 37:44
  see
• 37:45
  Animal
• 37:45
  House
• 37:45
  after
• 37:46
  Greek
• 37:47
  social
• 37:47
  hour,
• 37:47
  which
• 37:48
  was.
• 37:48
  Oh,
• 37:49
  my
• 37:49
  God.
• 37:49
  Yeah.
• 37:49
  50
• 37:50
  cents
• 37:50
  for
• 37:50
  all
• 37:51
  the
• 37:51
  amber
• 37:51
  colored
• 37:52
  adult
• 37:52
  beverages
• 37:53
  you
• 37:53
  can
• 37:53
  enjoy.
• 37:54
  We
• 37:54
  were
• 37:55
  rolling
• 37:55
  beers
• 37:56
  back
• 37:56
  and
• 37:56
  forth
• 37:56
  down
• 37:57
  the
• 37:57
  aisle.
• 37:58
  So
• 37:58
  I
• 37:58
  basically
• 37:59
  lived
• 38:00
  the
• 38:00
  movie.
• 38:00
  Now,
• 38:01
  you
• 38:01
  were
• 38:01
  one
• 38:02
  of
• 38:02
  the
• 38:02
  few
• 38:02
  in
• 38:02
  the
• 38:03
  cast
• 38:03
  with
• 38:03
  any
• 38:04
  acting
• 38:04
  experience.
• 38:06
  Yeah,
• 38:07
  I,
• 38:07
  you
• 38:07
  know,
• 38:07
  I've
• 38:07
  been
• 38:07
  around
• 38:08
  at
• 38:08
  that
• 38:08
  point.
• 38:09
  I
• 38:09
  was,
• 38:09
  I
• 38:09
  think
• 38:09
  I
• 38:09
  was
• 38:09
  29
• 38:10
  to
• 38:10
  30
• 38:11
  when
• 38:11
  I
• 38:11
  was
• 38:11
  doing
• 38:11
  that
• 38:11
  part.
• 38:12
  So
• 38:12
  I've
• 38:12
  been
• 38:12
  around
• 38:12
  for,
• 38:13
  you
• 38:13
  know,
• 38:13
  16
• 38:14
  to
• 38:14
  18
• 38:14
  years.
• 38:15
  And
• 38:16
  I.
• 38:17
  But
• 38:18
  that
• 38:18
  was
• 38:18
  my
• 38:18
  first
• 38:19
  comedy,
• 38:19
  so
• 38:20
  it
• 38:20
  was
• 38:20
  really
• 38:21
  a
• 38:21
  big
• 38:22
  leap
• 38:22
  for
• 38:22
  me.
• 38:23
  And
• 38:23
  it
• 38:23
  was,
• 38:24
  you
• 38:24
  know,
• 38:24
  it
• 38:24
  was
• 38:24
  a.
• 38:25
  It
• 38:25
  was
• 38:25
  a
• 38:25
  big
• 38:25
  risk.
• 38:26
  And
• 38:26
  I
• 38:26
  must
• 38:26
  say,
• 38:27
  John
• 38:27
  Belushi
• 38:27
  was
• 38:27
  very
• 38:28
  helpful
• 38:28
  and
• 38:28
  very
• 38:28
  supportive
• 38:29
  for
• 38:30
  me
• 38:30
  and
• 38:31
  helped
• 38:32
  me
• 38:32
  a
• 38:32
  lot,
• 38:32
  you
• 38:32
  know,
• 38:33
  on
• 38:33
  that.
• 38:34
  Yeah.
• 38:34
  Now,
• 38:35
  I
• 38:35
  had
• 38:36
  read
• 38:36
  where
• 38:36
  they
• 38:36
  considered
• 38:37
  Chevy
• 38:38
  Chase
• 38:38
  for
• 38:38
  the
• 38:38
  role
• 38:39
  of
• 38:39
  Otter
• 38:39
  originally.
• 38:41
  Oh,
• 38:41
  yeah,
• 38:42
  true.
• 38:42
  They
• 38:42
  wanted
• 38:43
  Chevy.
• 38:43
  The
• 38:43
  studio
• 38:44
  wanted
• 38:44
  Chevy.
• 38:45
  The
• 38:45
  studio
• 38:46
  wanted
• 38:46
  Chevy
• 38:47
  because,
• 38:47
  you
• 38:48
  know,
• 38:48
  he
• 38:48
  was
• 38:48
  a.
• 38:48
  A
• 38:49
  bigger
• 38:49
  name
• 38:49
  than
• 38:49
  me.
• 38:50
  But
• 38:51
  the
• 38:51
  director,
• 38:52
  John
• 38:52
  Landis,
• 38:53
  wanted
• 38:53
  basically
• 38:56
  real
• 38:56
  actors
• 38:57
  to
• 38:57
  be
• 38:57
  around
• 38:58
  John
• 38:58
  Belushi
• 38:59
  because
• 38:59
  he
• 38:59
  didn't,
• 39:00
  you
• 39:00
  know,
• 39:01
  he
• 39:01
  wanted
• 39:01
  to
• 39:01
  keep
• 39:01
  the
• 39:01
  comedy
• 39:02
  grounded.
• 39:02
  He
• 39:02
  didn't
• 39:03
  want
• 39:03
  it
• 39:03
  to
• 39:03
  be
• 39:03
  a
• 39:03
  Saturday
• 39:04
  Night
• 39:04
  Live
• 39:04
  sketch.
• 39:05
  Right.
• 39:06
  Yeah.
• 39:07
  And
• 39:07
  they
• 39:08
  certainly
• 39:08
  did
• 39:08
  that
• 39:08
  by
• 39:08
  bringing
• 39:09
  you
• 39:09
  aboard.
• 39:09
  Now,
• 39:10
  any
• 39:10
  truth
• 39:11
  to
• 39:11
  the
• 39:11
  rumor
• 39:11
  that
• 39:12
  there
• 39:12
  were
• 39:12
  fights
• 39:12
  between
• 39:13
  the
• 39:13
  cast
• 39:14
  members
• 39:14
  and
• 39:14
  the
• 39:15
  locals
• 39:15
  up
• 39:15
  there?
• 39:17
  Oh,
• 39:17
  yeah.
• 39:17
  The
• 39:17
  SAE
• 39:18
  guys
• 39:18
  kicked
• 39:18
  our
• 39:18
  ass.
• 39:21
  Oh,
• 39:21
  yeah.
• 39:22
  Oh,
• 39:22
  yeah.
• 39:22
  Because
• 39:22
  we
• 39:23
  watched
• 39:23
  it.
• 39:24
  We
• 39:24
  didn't
• 39:25
  know.
• 39:25
  I
• 39:26
  met
• 39:26
  a
• 39:26
  couple
• 39:26
  of
• 39:26
  young
• 39:26
  ladies
• 39:27
  at
• 39:27
  one
• 39:28
  fraternity
• 39:28
  party
• 39:29
  we've
• 39:29
  gone
• 39:29
  to,
• 39:30
  which
• 39:30
  was
• 39:33
  the
• 39:33
  place
• 39:34
  where
• 39:34
  we
• 39:34
  were
• 39:34
  shooting.
• 39:34
  So
• 39:35
  they
• 39:35
  were
• 39:35
  friendly
• 39:36
  with
• 39:36
  us
• 39:36
  and
• 39:36
  they
• 39:36
  said,
• 39:36
  yeah,
• 39:37
  come
• 39:37
  to
• 39:37
  our
• 39:37
  party.
• 39:38
  And
• 39:38
  then
• 39:38
  these
• 39:38
  young
• 39:38
  ladies
• 39:39
  invited
• 39:39
  us
• 39:39
  to
• 39:39
  say,
• 39:40
  we'll
• 39:40
  go
• 39:40
  to
• 39:40
  the
• 39:40
  SAE
• 39:41
  House.
• 39:41
  It's
• 39:41
  a
• 39:41
  great
• 39:42
  place.
• 39:42
  The
• 39:42
  best
• 39:43
  campus
• 39:43
  on
• 39:43
  the
• 39:44
  best
• 39:45
  fraternity
• 39:46
  on
• 39:46
  campus.
• 39:46
  So
• 39:47
  we
• 39:47
  went
• 39:47
  over
• 39:47
  there
• 39:48
  and
• 39:48
  just
• 39:48
  walked
• 39:49
  in
• 39:49
  like
• 39:49
  we
• 39:49
  owned
• 39:49
  the
• 39:49
  place.
• 39:50
  And
• 39:50
  big
• 39:51
  surprise,
• 39:51
  they
• 39:51
  did
• 39:52
  not
• 39:52
  want
• 39:52
  us
• 39:52
  there.
• 39:53
  Yeah.
• 39:54
  They
• 39:54
  said,
• 39:55
  you
• 39:55
  don't
• 39:55
  belong
• 39:55
  here.
• 39:55
  This
• 39:56
  is
• 39:56
  only
• 39:56
  us.
• 39:56
  Get
• 39:57
  out
• 39:57
  of
• 39:57
  here.
• 39:57
  And
• 39:58
  then
• 39:58
  they.
• 39:58
  They
• 39:58
  were
• 39:59
  all
• 39:59
  drunk.
• 39:59
  Anyway,
• 40:00
  so
• 40:00
  they.
• 40:01
  One
• 40:01
  thing,
• 40:02
  some
• 40:02
  words
• 40:02
  led
• 40:03
  to
• 40:03
  another,
• 40:03
  Someone
• 40:04
  from
• 40:04
  our
• 40:05
  group
• 40:05
  threw
• 40:05
  a
• 40:05
  beer,
• 40:06
  and
• 40:06
  then
• 40:07
  all
• 40:08
  hell
• 40:08
  broke
• 40:08
  out.
• 40:10
  Yeah.
• 40:10
  College
• 40:11
  fund.
• 40:15
  Sure.
• 40:16
  Now,
• 40:16
  did
• 40:16
  Belushi
• 40:17
  improvise
• 40:19
  the
• 40:19
  scene
• 40:19
  going
• 40:20
  into
• 40:20
  the
• 40:20
  admin
• 40:21
  building
• 40:21
  when
• 40:21
  Flounder
• 40:22
  shoots
• 40:22
  the
• 40:22
  horse?
• 40:23
  Did
• 40:23
  he
• 40:23
  improvise
• 40:24
  that
• 40:24
  whole
• 40:25
  gag?
• 40:27
  Oh,
• 40:27
  the
• 40:27
  dad.
• 40:27
  I
• 40:27
  mean,
• 40:28
  yeah,
• 40:28
  his.
• 40:28
  You
• 40:29
  know,
• 40:29
  he
• 40:29
  was
• 40:30
  such
• 40:31
  an
• 40:31
  amazing
• 40:33
  improviser
• 40:34
  and
• 40:34
  just,
• 40:35
  you
• 40:35
  know,
• 40:35
  he
• 40:35
  was.
• 40:36
  He
• 40:36
  was
• 40:36
  great.
• 40:36
  He
• 40:37
  was
• 40:37
  so
• 40:37
  wonderful
• 40:37
  to
• 40:38
  work
• 40:38
  with
• 40:38
  and,
• 40:40
  you
• 40:40
  know,
• 40:41
  it
• 40:41
  was
• 40:41
  just
• 40:41
  a
• 40:42
  treat.
• 40:42
  And
• 40:42
  then
• 40:43
  he'd
• 40:44
  only
• 40:44
  be
• 40:44
  with
• 40:44
  us
• 40:46
  three
• 40:46
  days
• 40:46
  a
• 40:46
  week,
• 40:47
  you
• 40:47
  know,
• 40:47
  Monday,
• 40:48
  Tuesday,
• 40:48
  Wednesday,
• 40:48
  and
• 40:48
  then
• 40:49
  Wednesday
• 40:49
  night
• 40:49
  he'd
• 40:50
  head
• 40:50
  back
• 40:50
  to
• 40:50
  New
• 40:50
  York
• 40:51
  and
• 40:51
  then
• 40:52
  do
• 40:52
  Saturday
• 40:52
  Night
• 40:52
  Live,
• 40:53
  you
• 40:53
  know,
• 40:53
  rehearse
• 40:54
  Thursday,
• 40:54
  Friday,
• 40:55
  and
• 40:55
  then
• 40:55
  recorded
• 40:56
  on
• 40:56
  Saturday.
• 40:57
  Did
• 40:57
  you
• 40:58
  have
• 40:58
  any
• 40:58
  idea,
• 40:59
  Tim,
• 40:59
  that
• 41:00
  Animal
• 41:00
  House
• 41:00
  would
• 41:01
  be
• 41:01
  the
• 41:01
  monster
• 41:01
  that
• 41:02
  it
• 41:02
  became?
• 41:04
  No.
• 41:04
  I
• 41:04
  mean,
• 41:04
  you
• 41:05
  sort
• 41:05
  of
• 41:05
  hope
• 41:05
  and
• 41:06
  you
• 41:06
  think
• 41:06
  maybe,
• 41:07
  but
• 41:07
  you
• 41:07
  never
• 41:08
  know
• 41:08
  until
• 41:08
  you
• 41:08
  get
• 41:09
  in
• 41:09
  front
• 41:09
  of
• 41:09
  an
• 41:09
  audience,
• 41:10
  you
• 41:10
  know?
• 41:10
  And
• 41:11
  I
• 41:11
  heard,
• 41:12
  the
• 41:12
  first
• 41:12
  time
• 41:13
  I
• 41:13
  ever
• 41:13
  heard
• 41:14
  it,
• 41:14
  played
• 41:15
  it,
• 41:15
  ran
• 41:15
  in
• 41:15
  front
• 41:16
  of.
• 41:16
  They
• 41:16
  screened
• 41:17
  it
• 41:17
  in
• 41:17
  a
• 41:19
  sneak
• 41:19
  preview
• 41:20
  in
• 41:20
  front
• 41:20
  of
• 41:20
  fraternity
• 41:22
  Denver
• 41:23
  on
• 41:23
  a
• 41:23
  fraternity
• 41:24
  gathering
• 41:25
  weekend.
• 41:26
  And
• 41:26
  so
• 41:26
  a
• 41:26
  large
• 41:26
  part
• 41:27
  of
• 41:27
  the
• 41:27
  audience
• 41:27
  were
• 41:27
  fraternity
• 41:28
  members,
• 41:28
  and
• 41:28
  they
• 41:29
  went
• 41:29
  crazy.
• 41:30
  You
• 41:30
  couldn't
• 41:30
  hear
• 41:30
  the
• 41:31
  dialogue.
• 41:31
  It
• 41:31
  was
• 41:31
  so
• 41:32
  nuts.
• 41:33
  And
• 41:33
  that
• 41:33
  was.
• 41:33
  First
• 41:34
  time
• 41:34
  I
• 41:35
  thought,
• 41:35
  well,
• 41:35
  this.
• 41:35
  This
• 41:36
  really
• 41:36
  could
• 41:36
  be
• 41:36
  something.
• 41:37
  Who
• 41:37
  knows?
• 41:38
  Well,
• 41:38
  that's
• 41:38
  what
• 41:38
  we
• 41:38
  did
• 41:39
  in
• 41:39
  that
• 41:39
  theater
• 41:39
  in
• 41:40
  Oswego.
• 41:40
  We.
• 41:41
  We
• 41:41
  repeated
• 41:42
  every
• 41:42
  line
• 41:43
  before
• 41:44
  it
• 41:44
  was
• 41:44
  said.
• 41:44
  We
• 41:45
  ruined
• 41:45
  the
• 41:45
  movie
• 41:46
  for
• 41:46
  the
• 41:46
  other
• 41:46
  patrons
• 41:47
  in
• 41:47
  the
• 41:47
  theater,
• 41:48
  you
• 41:48
  know,
• 41:49
  but,
• 41:50
  hell,
• 41:50
  we
• 41:50
  had
• 41:50
  a
• 41:50
  good
• 41:51
  time.
• 41:51
  That.
• 41:52
  That's.
• 41:53
  That's
• 41:54
  all
• 41:54
  that
• 41:54
  matters.
• 41:54
  Yeah.
• 41:55
  The
• 41:55
  trick
• 41:56
  is
• 41:56
  just
• 41:56
  to
• 41:56
  enjoy
• 41:56
  yourself.
• 41:57
  That's
• 41:57
  it.
• 41:58
  Yeah,
• 41:58
  that
• 41:58
  is
• 41:58
  it.
• 41:59
  Now,
• 41:59
  you
• 42:00
  auditioned
• 42:00
  for
• 42:00
  the
• 42:00
  role
• 42:01
  of
• 42:01
  Indiana
• 42:01
  Jones
• 42:02
  for
• 42:02
  Raiders,
• 42:02
  right?
• 42:04
  I
• 42:04
  did.
• 42:04
  Like,
• 42:05
  well,
• 42:05
  yeah,
• 42:05
  there
• 42:05
  was
• 42:05
  a
• 42:06
  ton
• 42:06
  of
• 42:06
  actors
• 42:06
  in
• 42:06
  Hollywood
• 42:07
  who
• 42:07
  did,
• 42:07
  and
• 42:08
  I
• 42:09
  just.
• 42:09
  I
• 42:09
  knew
• 42:09
  I
• 42:09
  was
• 42:10
  too
• 42:10
  young,
• 42:10
  but
• 42:10
  I
• 42:11
  had
• 42:11
  a
• 42:11
  good
• 42:11
  take
• 42:11
  on
• 42:12
  it,
• 42:12
  and
• 42:13
  I
• 42:13
  did,
• 42:13
  you
• 42:13
  know,
• 42:13
  I
• 42:13
  did
• 42:14
  my
• 42:14
  best
• 42:14
  sort
• 42:14
  of
• 42:14
  Clint
• 42:15
  Eastwood
• 42:15
  interpretation.
• 42:16
  I
• 42:16
  didn't
• 42:16
  rehearse
• 42:16
  it
• 42:17
  too
• 42:17
  much,
• 42:17
  and
• 42:17
  I
• 42:17
  just,
• 42:18
  you
• 42:18
  know,
• 42:19
  hit
• 42:19
  my
• 42:19
  marks,
• 42:19
  looked
• 42:20
  him
• 42:20
  in
• 42:20
  the
• 42:20
  eye
• 42:20
  and
• 42:21
  told
• 42:22
  him
• 42:22
  the
• 42:22
  truth,
• 42:22
  you
• 42:22
  know,
• 42:22
  And
• 42:22
  I
• 42:23
  worked
• 42:23
  with
• 42:23
  Karen
• 42:23
  Allen
• 42:24
  on
• 42:24
  that.
• 42:24
  And
• 42:25
  Lucas.
• 42:26
  Lucas,
• 42:27
  you
• 42:27
  know,
• 42:27
  George
• 42:27
  Lucas
• 42:27
  called
• 42:28
  me
• 42:28
  in
• 42:28
  and
• 42:28
  said,
• 42:28
  you
• 42:28
  know,
• 42:29
  we're
• 42:30
  going
• 42:30
  another
• 42:30
  way.
• 42:31
  You're
• 42:31
  too
• 42:31
  young,
• 42:32
  but
• 42:32
  I'd
• 42:32
  love
• 42:32
  to
• 42:32
  talk
• 42:32
  to
• 42:33
  you.
• 42:33
  And
• 42:33
  I
• 42:33
  went
• 42:33
  in
• 42:33
  and
• 42:33
  talked
• 42:33
  to
• 42:33
  him,
• 42:34
  and
• 42:34
  he
• 42:34
  said,
• 42:34
  you
• 42:34
  did
• 42:35
  the
• 42:35
  best
• 42:36
  test.
• 42:36
  It
• 42:36
  was
• 42:36
  great.
• 42:37
  But,
• 42:37
  you
• 42:38
  know,
• 42:38
  we
• 42:38
  just.
• 42:38
  You're
• 42:39
  just
• 42:39
  too
• 42:39
  young.
• 42:40
  So
• 42:40
  it's
• 42:40
  like.
• 42:40
  Yeah,
• 42:41
  I
• 42:41
  get
• 42:41
  it.
• 42:42
  Yeah,
• 42:42
  yeah.
• 42:44
  Bed
• 42:44
  break
• 42:44
  there.
• 42:45
  Now.
• 42:46
  Mel
• 42:46
  Brooks
• 42:47
  and
• 42:47
  Ann
• 42:47
  Bancroft,
• 42:48
  to
• 42:48
  be
• 42:48
  or
• 42:48
  not
• 42:48
  to
• 42:49
  be
• 42:49
  two
• 42:50
  more
• 42:50
  legends
• 42:50
  you're
• 42:51
  working
• 42:51
  with.
• 42:52
  Yeah,
• 42:53
  yeah.
• 42:54
  I
• 42:54
  mean,
• 42:55
  he's
• 42:55
  the
• 42:56
  godfather
• 42:56
  of
• 42:56
  comedy,
• 42:57
  I
• 42:57
  think.
• 42:57
  You
• 42:57
  know,
• 42:57
  I
• 42:58
  mean,
• 42:58
  he's
• 42:58
  just.
• 42:59
  He's
• 42:59
  amazing.
• 43:00
  And
• 43:00
  Anne
• 43:00
  Bancroft
• 43:01
  was
• 43:01
  the
• 43:01
  first
• 43:02
  lady.
• 43:02
  I
• 43:02
  mean,
• 43:02
  she
• 43:03
  was
• 43:03
  just
• 43:03
  the
• 43:04
  most
• 43:04
  elegant,
• 43:05
  refined,
• 43:06
  wonderful
• 43:06
  actor
• 43:07
  and
• 43:07
  just
• 43:08
  also
• 43:10
  just
• 43:10
  the
• 43:10
  dearest
• 43:11
  woman.
• 43:11
  So.
• 43:12
  And,
• 43:12
  you
• 43:12
  know,
• 43:14
  and
• 43:14
  they
• 43:14
  were.
• 43:14
  They
• 43:15
  were
• 43:15
  so
• 43:15
  happily
• 43:15
  married.
• 43:16
  It
• 43:16
  was
• 43:16
  a
• 43:16
  joy
• 43:16
  to
• 43:16
  be
• 43:16
  around
• 43:17
  them.
• 43:17
  Cuckoo.
• 43:18
  Ca
• 43:18
  choo.
• 43:18
  Mrs.
• 43:19
  Robinson.
• 43:19
  That's
• 43:20
  all
• 43:20
  I
• 43:20
  have
• 43:20
  to
• 43:20
  say.
• 43:21
  Yeah,
• 43:22
  I
• 43:22
  hear
• 43:22
  you.
• 43:23
  We
• 43:23
  are
• 43:24
  honored
• 43:24
  to
• 43:24
  have
• 43:24
  Tim
• 43:25
  Matheson
• 43:25
  on
• 43:25
  the
• 43:26
  show
• 43:26
  with
• 43:26
  us
• 43:26
  tonight.
• 43:27
  Now,
• 43:27
  the
• 43:27
  recurring
• 43:28
  role
• 43:28
  is
• 43:28
  John
• 43:29
  Hoynes
• 43:29
  in
• 43:29
  the
• 43:29
  West
• 43:30
  Wing.
• 43:31
  What
• 43:31
  a
• 43:31
  great
• 43:31
  job
• 43:32
  you
• 43:32
  did
• 43:32
  with
• 43:32
  that.
• 43:33
  That's
• 43:33
  where
• 43:33
  you
• 43:33
  got
• 43:34
  your
• 43:34
  two
• 43:34
  Primetime
• 43:35
  Emmy
• 43:35
  nominations.
• 43:36
  Talk
• 43:36
  about
• 43:36
  the
• 43:36
  West
• 43:37
  Wing
• 43:37
  for
• 43:37
  the
• 43:37
  fans
• 43:38
  out
• 43:38
  there,
• 43:38
  Tim.
• 43:39
  Well,
• 43:40
  it
• 43:40
  was,
• 43:40
  you
• 43:40
  know,
• 43:40
  it's
• 43:41
  about
• 43:41
  politics
• 43:41
  at
• 43:42
  another
• 43:42
  time.
• 43:43
  And
• 43:44
  it
• 43:44
  was,
• 43:45
  you
• 43:45
  know,
• 43:45
  getting
• 43:46
  a
• 43:46
  chance
• 43:46
  to
• 43:46
  work
• 43:46
  with
• 43:46
  Aaron
• 43:47
  Sorkin,
• 43:47
  one
• 43:47
  of
• 43:47
  the
• 43:48
  finest
• 43:49
  scriptwriters,
• 43:50
  screenwriters
• 43:51
  in
• 43:52
  history,
• 43:52
  you
• 43:53
  know,
• 43:53
  and
• 43:53
  he's
• 43:53
  just.
• 43:54
  He
• 43:54
  continues
• 43:55
  to
• 43:55
  set
• 43:56
  the
• 43:56
  mark
• 43:56
  higher
• 43:56
  and
• 43:57
  higher
• 43:57
  every
• 43:57
  time
• 43:57
  he
• 43:57
  works.
• 43:58
  And
• 43:58
  so
• 43:59
  it
• 43:59
  was
• 43:59
  a
• 43:59
  real
• 43:59
  treat.
• 44:00
  And
• 44:02
  the
• 44:03
  best
• 44:03
  group
• 44:03
  of
• 44:03
  actors
• 44:04
  I
• 44:04
  think
• 44:04
  I've
• 44:04
  ever
• 44:04
  worked
• 44:05
  with
• 44:05
  in
• 44:05
  a
• 44:05
  show.
• 44:06
  And
• 44:07
  you
• 44:07
  just
• 44:07
  had
• 44:08
  to
• 44:08
  have
• 44:08
  people
• 44:08
  who
• 44:09
  were
• 44:09
  really
• 44:09
  exceptional
• 44:10
  to
• 44:10
  handle
• 44:11
  that
• 44:11
  dialogue
• 44:11
  because
• 44:12
  he'd
• 44:12
  like
• 44:12
  to
• 44:12
  do
• 44:12
  it
• 44:12
  all
• 44:12
  in
• 44:13
  one
• 44:13
  take.
• 44:13
  That's
• 44:14
  why
• 44:14
  we
• 44:14
  had
• 44:14
  those
• 44:14
  long
• 44:14
  walk
• 44:15
  and
• 44:15
  talks.
• 44:15
  You
• 44:15
  know,
• 44:15
  those
• 44:16
  two
• 44:16
  people
• 44:17
  walking
• 44:17
  down
• 44:17
  the
• 44:17
  hallways,
• 44:19
  talking
• 44:19
  as
• 44:19
  fast
• 44:19
  as
• 44:20
  you
• 44:20
  could
• 44:21
  because
• 44:21
  they're
• 44:21
  smart
• 44:22
  and
• 44:22
  they're
• 44:22
  in
• 44:22
  a
• 44:22
  hurry
• 44:23
  and
• 44:23
  they're,
• 44:23
  you
• 44:23
  know,
• 44:23
  and
• 44:24
  they're
• 44:24
  trying
• 44:24
  to
• 44:25
  save
• 44:25
  the
• 44:25
  world,
• 44:25
  you
• 44:25
  know,
• 44:26
  so
• 44:26
  it
• 44:26
  was.
• 44:26
  It
• 44:27
  was.
• 44:27
  It
• 44:27
  was
• 44:27
  a
• 44:28
  very
• 44:28
  noble
• 44:28
  show.
• 44:29
  They
• 44:29
  were
• 44:29
  wonderful,
• 44:30
  wonderful
• 44:30
  actors.
• 44:31
  And
• 44:32
  it
• 44:32
  was
• 44:32
  just.
• 44:33
  It
• 44:33
  was
• 44:33
  like
• 44:33
  playing.
• 44:34
  It
• 44:34
  was
• 44:34
  like
• 44:34
  playing
• 44:35
  tennis
• 44:35
  at
• 44:35
  Wimbledon,
• 44:36
  you
• 44:36
  know.
• 44:36
  It
• 44:36
  was
• 44:37
  just.
• 44:37
  It
• 44:37
  was
• 44:37
  pretty
• 44:37
  special.
• 44:38
  Yeah,
• 44:38
  great
• 44:39
  job
• 44:39
  on
• 44:39
  that.
• 44:40
  Now,
• 44:40
  you.
• 44:42
  You
• 44:42
  directed
• 44:43
  episodes
• 44:44
  of
• 44:44
  Third
• 44:45
  Watch,
• 44:45
  Twilight
• 44:46
  Zone,
• 44:47
  of
• 44:47
  course,
• 44:48
  the
• 44:48
  West
• 44:48
  Wing,
• 44:49
  Criminal
• 44:50
  Minds
• 44:52
  and
• 44:53
  Burn
• 44:53
  Notice.
• 44:54
  Yeah,
• 44:55
  yeah.
• 44:56
  You
• 44:56
  always.
• 44:56
  You
• 44:57
  had
• 44:57
  a
• 44:58
  recurring
• 44:58
  role
• 44:59
  there.
• 44:59
  Now,
• 45:00
  what.
• 45:00
  What
• 45:00
  do
• 45:00
  you
• 45:00
  like
• 45:01
  about
• 45:01
  directing
• 45:02
  versus
• 45:02
  Being
• 45:03
  in
• 45:03
  front
• 45:03
  of
• 45:03
  the
• 45:03
  camera,
• 45:04
  Tim.
• 45:05
  It'S
• 45:05
  good
• 45:05
  to
• 45:06
  be
• 45:06
  king.
• 45:06
  You
• 45:06
  know,
• 45:07
  it's.
• 45:07
  It's.
• 45:08
  Yeah,
• 45:08
  it's.
• 45:09
  It's.
• 45:10
  It's
• 45:10
  a
• 45:10
  different
• 45:11
  approach.
• 45:11
  I
• 45:11
  mean,
• 45:12
  you
• 45:12
  know,
• 45:12
  and
• 45:12
  basically
• 45:13
  you're
• 45:13
  there
• 45:13
  to,
• 45:14
  you
• 45:14
  know,
• 45:15
  support
• 45:15
  the
• 45:15
  writer
• 45:15
  and
• 45:16
  make
• 45:16
  sure
• 45:16
  that
• 45:16
  their
• 45:16
  story
• 45:17
  gets
• 45:17
  told
• 45:18
  correctly
• 45:19
  and
• 45:19
  to
• 45:20
  help
• 45:20
  the
• 45:20
  actors
• 45:21
  do
• 45:21
  that
• 45:21
  job.
• 45:22
  And
• 45:24
  so,
• 45:25
  but
• 45:25
  it's.
• 45:26
  But
• 45:26
  you're
• 45:26
  involved
• 45:27
  in,
• 45:27
  you
• 45:27
  know,
• 45:27
  choosing
• 45:28
  wardrobe
• 45:29
  and
• 45:29
  casting
• 45:30
  and
• 45:31
  location,
• 45:32
  so
• 45:32
  you're
• 45:33
  involved
• 45:33
  in
• 45:33
  everything
• 45:34
  from
• 45:34
  the
• 45:34
  very
• 45:35
  beginning.
• 45:35
  Whereas
• 45:35
  an
• 45:35
  actor
• 45:36
  just
• 45:36
  comes
• 45:37
  in
• 45:37
  and
• 45:38
  performs,
• 45:39
  you
• 45:39
  know,
• 45:40
  which
• 45:40
  is
• 45:40
  not
• 45:41
  an
• 45:41
  easy
• 45:41
  thing.
• 45:41
  But
• 45:42
  there's
• 45:43
  a
• 45:43
  lot
• 45:43
  more
• 45:44
  to
• 45:44
  directing,
• 45:45
  and
• 45:45
  it
• 45:45
  was
• 45:46
  very
• 45:46
  challenging,
• 45:46
  and
• 45:47
  I
• 45:47
  always
• 45:47
  like
• 45:47
  to
• 45:47
  set
• 45:47
  the
• 45:47
  bar
• 45:48
  higher
• 45:48
  and
• 45:48
  just
• 45:48
  try
• 45:48
  something
• 45:49
  new.
• 45:49
  Right
• 45:50
  now.
• 45:51
  Since
• 45:52
  2019,
• 45:53
  Doc
• 45:54
  Mullins,
• 45:55
  the
• 45:55
  Netflix
• 45:56
  series,
• 45:57
  Virgin
• 45:57
  River.
• 45:58
  Everybody
• 45:59
  loves
• 45:59
  Virgin
• 45:59
  River.
• 46:00
  When
• 46:01
  is
• 46:01
  it
• 46:01
  coming
• 46:01
  back?
• 46:02
  For
• 46:02
  the
• 46:02
  new
• 46:02
  season,
• 46:04
  we
• 46:04
  drop
• 46:05
  December
• 46:05
  19,
• 46:06
  season
• 46:07
  six,
• 46:08
  and
• 46:08
  then
• 46:09
  we
• 46:09
  are
• 46:10
  going
• 46:10
  to
• 46:10
  start
• 46:10
  shooting
• 46:11
  season
• 46:11
  seven
• 46:12
  in
• 46:12
  March
• 46:13
  of
• 46:13
  25.
• 46:14
  So
• 46:15
  we're,
• 46:15
  you
• 46:15
  know,
• 46:16
  it's
• 46:16
  just,
• 46:16
  you
• 46:16
  know,
• 46:17
  at
• 46:17
  this
• 46:17
  point
• 46:17
  in
• 46:17
  my
• 46:17
  career,
• 46:18
  it's
• 46:19
  just
• 46:19
  like,
• 46:19
  wow,
• 46:20
  to
• 46:20
  find
• 46:20
  a
• 46:20
  character
• 46:21
  that
• 46:21
  I
• 46:21
  love
• 46:21
  playing
• 46:22
  that
• 46:22
  much
• 46:22
  and
• 46:22
  in
• 46:23
  a
• 46:23
  show
• 46:23
  that
• 46:23
  I
• 46:24
  enjoy
• 46:24
  doing
• 46:24
  and.
• 46:25
  And
• 46:26
  that,
• 46:26
  you
• 46:26
  know,
• 46:26
  the
• 46:27
  landscape
• 46:27
  is
• 46:27
  constantly
• 46:28
  changing
• 46:28
  around
• 46:28
  us
• 46:29
  and,
• 46:29
  you
• 46:29
  know,
• 46:30
  the
• 46:30
  situation
• 46:30
  has
• 46:31
  changed
• 46:31
  from
• 46:31
  year
• 46:31
  to
• 46:31
  year,
• 46:32
  so.
• 46:32
  And
• 46:33
  it's
• 46:33
  great.
• 46:33
  Netflix
• 46:34
  is
• 46:34
  a
• 46:34
  wonderful
• 46:34
  place
• 46:35
  to
• 46:35
  work
• 46:36
  and
• 46:36
  because,
• 46:37
  you
• 46:37
  know,
• 46:37
  people,
• 46:40
  they
• 46:40
  can
• 46:40
  look
• 46:40
  at
• 46:41
  a
• 46:41
  whole
• 46:41
  season
• 46:41
  in
• 46:41
  a
• 46:42
  day
• 46:43
  or
• 46:43
  a
• 46:43
  weekend.
• 46:44
  It's
• 46:44
  crazy.
• 46:45
  You
• 46:45
  know,
• 46:45
  it's
• 46:45
  so
• 46:46
  different
• 46:46
  than
• 46:46
  things
• 46:47
  were,
• 46:47
  like,
• 46:47
  on
• 46:48
  network
• 46:48
  tv.
• 46:49
  But
• 46:49
  it's
• 46:50
  an
• 46:50
  exciting
• 46:51
  transition.
• 46:52
  You
• 46:52
  know,
• 46:52
  it's
• 46:52
  great.
• 46:53
  Beautiful
• 46:53
  locations.
• 46:54
  Tim,
• 46:55
  where
• 46:55
  do
• 46:55
  you
• 46:55
  film?
• 46:55
  Oh,
• 46:56
  thanks.
• 46:56
  Yeah.
• 46:57
  Vancouver
• 46:58
  Bridge,
• 46:58
  Columbia.
• 46:59
  Nice.
• 47:00
  Yeah.
• 47:00
  What
• 47:01
  a
• 47:01
  beautiful
• 47:01
  set
• 47:02
  that.
• 47:02
  That
• 47:02
  is.
• 47:03
  What
• 47:04
  can
• 47:04
  we
• 47:05
  expect?
• 47:05
  Do
• 47:05
  you
• 47:05
  have
• 47:05
  any
• 47:06
  nuggets
• 47:06
  to
• 47:06
  drop
• 47:07
  for
• 47:07
  the
• 47:07
  fans
• 47:07
  out
• 47:07
  here?
• 47:09
  Gosh,
• 47:10
  I
• 47:10
  mean,
• 47:10
  you
• 47:10
  know,
• 47:11
  I
• 47:11
  just.
• 47:11
  My
• 47:12
  main
• 47:12
  thing
• 47:12
  is
• 47:12
  just,
• 47:13
  I
• 47:13
  try
• 47:13
  not
• 47:14
  to
• 47:14
  say
• 47:15
  twice.
• 47:15
  Yeah.
• 47:16
  And
• 47:16
  just
• 47:17
  don't
• 47:17
  take
• 47:17
  it
• 47:17
  so
• 47:17
  seriously
• 47:18
  and
• 47:18
  enjoy
• 47:18
  yourself
• 47:19
  and
• 47:19
  create
• 47:20
  a
• 47:20
  team
• 47:20
  to
• 47:20
  work
• 47:21
  with
• 47:21
  because
• 47:23
  it's
• 47:23
  like
• 47:23
  sports,
• 47:24
  you
• 47:24
  know,
• 47:25
  the
• 47:26
  more
• 47:26
  likely
• 47:26
  you
• 47:27
  are
• 47:27
  to
• 47:27
  have
• 47:27
  people
• 47:27
  around
• 47:28
  you
• 47:28
  that
• 47:28
  can
• 47:29
  help
• 47:29
  you
• 47:29
  and,
• 47:30
  you
• 47:30
  know,
• 47:30
  shore
• 47:31
  you
• 47:31
  up
• 47:31
  when
• 47:31
  you
• 47:31
  need
• 47:32
  some
• 47:32
  help
• 47:33
  and
• 47:33
  shore
• 47:33
  them
• 47:34
  up
• 47:34
  when
• 47:34
  they
• 47:34
  need
• 47:34
  some
• 47:35
  help,
• 47:35
  you
• 47:35
  know,
• 47:35
  I
• 47:35
  mean,
• 47:36
  that's
• 47:36
  what
• 47:36
  we're
• 47:36
  all
• 47:36
  there
• 47:36
  for.
• 47:37
  And
• 47:37
  then
• 47:37
  you
• 47:37
  don't
• 47:37
  feel
• 47:38
  so
• 47:38
  bad
• 47:38
  if
• 47:38
  you
• 47:38
  win
• 47:39
  or
• 47:39
  lose,
• 47:40
  you
• 47:40
  know.
• 47:40
  So
• 47:42
  I
• 47:42
  think
• 47:42
  that's
• 47:43
  it
• 47:43
  for
• 47:43
  me.
• 47:44
  I
• 47:44
  like
• 47:44
  the
• 47:44
  team.
• 47:45
  Do
• 47:45
  we
• 47:45
  have
• 47:46
  to
• 47:46
  wait
• 47:46
  to
• 47:46
  find
• 47:47
  out
• 47:47
  what
• 47:47
  happens
• 47:47
  with
• 47:48
  Doc
• 47:48
  Mullins
• 47:48
  sight?
• 47:50
  Yeah,
• 47:50
  that's
• 47:51
  taken
• 47:51
  care
• 47:51
  of
• 47:52
  pretty
• 47:52
  quickly
• 47:52
  in
• 47:52
  season
• 47:53
  six.
• 47:53
  So
• 47:53
  we'll
• 47:54
  find
• 47:54
  that
• 47:54
  out
• 47:54
  real
• 47:54
  soon.
• 47:55
  Okay.
• 47:55
  Yeah,
• 47:55
  we
• 47:56
  got
• 47:56
  that.
• 47:56
  Yeah.
• 47:56
  Yes,
• 47:57
  you
• 47:57
  got
• 47:58
  it.
• 47:58
  Now
• 47:58
  tell
• 47:59
  me,
• 47:59
  can
• 47:59
  I
• 47:59
  ask
• 47:59
  a
• 47:59
  question?
• 48:00
  Yeah,
• 48:00
  go
• 48:00
  ahead,
• 48:01
  Tim.
• 48:01
  Yeah.
• 48:01
  Who.
• 48:02
  Who
• 48:02
  won?
• 48:03
  How
• 48:03
  did
• 48:03
  Kansas
• 48:04
  City
• 48:04
  do
• 48:04
  today?
• 48:04
  I
• 48:05
  don't
• 48:05
  know,
• 48:05
  Brian.
• 48:05
  Did
• 48:05
  you
• 48:06
  watch
• 48:06
  the
• 48:06
  Kansas
• 48:06
  City?
• 48:07
  Yeah,
• 48:07
  they
• 48:07
  lost,
• 48:07
  Tim.
• 48:08
  Oh,
• 48:09
  geez.
• 48:09
  Okay.
• 48:10
  Yeah.
• 48:10
  And
• 48:10
  of
• 48:11
  course,
• 48:11
  the
• 48:11
  jets
• 48:11
  lost,
• 48:12
  which
• 48:14
  is
• 48:14
  a
• 48:14
  given.
• 48:15
  How
• 48:15
  about.
• 48:15
  How
• 48:15
  about
• 48:16
  the
• 48:16
  Commanders?
• 48:16
  How'd
• 48:17
  that
• 48:17
  go?
• 48:18
  No
• 48:18
  good.
• 48:19
  Oh,
• 48:19
  no,
• 48:19
  Brian
• 48:20
  doesn't
• 48:20
  know.
• 48:20
  He
• 48:20
  doesn't
• 48:21
  know.
• 48:21
  Yeah.
• 48:22
  Okay.
• 48:22
  Okay.
• 48:23
  Relax
• 48:24
  on
• 48:24
  the
• 48:24
  football
• 48:25
  scores
• 48:25
  tonight,
• 48:25
  Tim.
• 48:26
  I'm
• 48:26
  sorry.
• 48:28
  Do
• 48:28
  you
• 48:28
  enjoy
• 48:28
  sports,
• 48:29
  Tim?
• 48:30
  I
• 48:31
  do.
• 48:31
  Yeah.
• 48:31
  I
• 48:31
  do.
• 48:32
  You
• 48:32
  know,
• 48:33
  it's
• 48:33
  always
• 48:33
  good
• 48:34
  to
• 48:34
  take
• 48:34
  your
• 48:35
  mind
• 48:35
  off
• 48:35
  of
• 48:36
  it
• 48:36
  and
• 48:36
  just.
• 48:37
  I
• 48:37
  like
• 48:37
  watching
• 48:37
  good
• 48:38
  teamwork,
• 48:38
  you
• 48:38
  know,
• 48:38
  I
• 48:38
  mean,
• 48:39
  I
• 48:39
  like.
• 48:39
  I
• 48:39
  like.
• 48:40
  That's
• 48:41
  what
• 48:41
  I've
• 48:41
  learned
• 48:41
  about
• 48:41
  acting
• 48:42
  and
• 48:42
  directing,
• 48:42
  is
• 48:42
  that,
• 48:43
  you
• 48:43
  know,
• 48:43
  again,
• 48:43
  like
• 48:43
  I
• 48:44
  said,
• 48:44
  it's
• 48:44
  team.
• 48:44
  And
• 48:46
  you
• 48:46
  see
• 48:47
  how
• 48:47
  people
• 48:47
  perform
• 48:48
  and
• 48:48
  it's.
• 48:48
  You
• 48:48
  get
• 48:49
  inspired
• 48:49
  by
• 48:49
  people
• 48:49
  who
• 48:50
  perform
• 48:50
  well
• 48:50
  under
• 48:50
  pressure.
• 48:51
  The
• 48:51
  Olympics,
• 48:51
  for
• 48:52
  God's
• 48:52
  sake.
• 48:52
  I
• 48:52
  love
• 48:52
  the
• 48:53
  women's
• 48:53
  soccer
• 48:54
  team.
• 48:54
  And,
• 48:54
  you
• 48:54
  know,
• 48:54
  it
• 48:54
  was
• 48:55
  just
• 48:55
  amazing.
• 48:56
  And.
• 48:57
  But
• 48:58
  just
• 48:58
  so
• 48:58
  many
• 48:58
  of
• 48:58
  the
• 48:59
  competition,
• 48:59
  because
• 48:59
  it
• 49:00
  comes
• 49:00
  down
• 49:00
  to
• 49:00
  one
• 49:00
  moment,
• 49:01
  or
• 49:01
  just
• 49:01
  the
• 49:01
  World
• 49:02
  Series
• 49:02
  for
• 49:02
  the
• 49:02
  Dodgers,
• 49:03
  right?
• 49:03
  You
• 49:03
  know,
• 49:04
  and
• 49:04
  the

  Yankees.
• 49:05
  I
• 49:05
  mean,
• 49:05
  my
• 49:05
  God,
• 49:05
  who's
• 49:06
  ever
• 49:06
  seen
• 49:06
  an
• 49:07
  inning
• 49:07
  like
• 49:07
  the
• 49:07
  fifth
• 49:08
  inning
• 49:08
  for
• 49:08
  the.
• 49:08
  For
• 49:08
  the
• 49:09
  Yankees?
• 49:09
  I
• 49:09
  mean,
• 49:09
  oh,
• 49:09
  my
• 49:10
  God,
• 49:10
  that
• 49:11
  was
• 49:11
  just
• 49:12
  unparalleled
• 49:13
  in
• 49:14
  history,
• 49:14
  in
• 49:14
  sports
• 49:14
  history.
• 49:15
  And
• 49:16
  yet
• 49:16
  it
• 49:16
  happens.
• 49:17
  It's
• 49:17
  like,
• 49:18
  okay,
• 49:18
  MLB
• 49:19
  was
• 49:19
  probably
• 49:19
  happy
• 49:20
  with
• 49:20
  that
• 49:20
  matchup,
• 49:21
  too.
• 49:21
  The
• 49:22
  Dodgers
• 49:22
  and
• 49:22
  the
• 49:23
  Yankees.
• 49:23
  Yeah,
• 49:23
  they
• 49:24
  love
• 49:24
  that.
• 49:25
  And
• 49:25
  with
• 49:26
  the
• 49:26
  Olympics,
• 49:26
  I
• 49:27
  found.
• 49:27
  I
• 49:27
  like
• 49:27
  the
• 49:27
  women's
• 49:28
  beach
• 49:28
  volleyball.
• 49:29
  I
• 49:29
  think
• 49:29
  that's
• 49:29
  pretty
• 49:30
  amazing.
• 49:31
  Oh,
• 49:31
  it's
• 49:31
  great
• 49:31
  to
• 49:31
  watch.
• 49:32
  I
• 49:32
  mean,
• 49:33
  diving
• 49:34
  and
• 49:34
  swimming.
• 49:34
  I
• 49:35
  mean,
• 49:35
  it's
• 49:35
  just.
• 49:37
  Can
• 49:38
  somebody
• 49:39
  just
• 49:39
  stay
• 49:40
  so
• 49:40
  focused
• 49:41
  and
• 49:41
  concentrate
• 49:42
  on
• 49:42
  what
• 49:43
  they
• 49:43
  have
• 49:43
  to
• 49:43
  do
• 49:44
  and
• 49:44
  not
• 49:44
  let
• 49:45
  all
• 49:45
  that
• 49:45
  extraneous
• 49:46
  noise
• 49:47
  from
• 49:47
  the
• 49:47
  outside
• 49:48
  take
• 49:48
  them
• 49:49
  off
• 49:49
  their
• 49:49
  game?
• 49:50
  That's
• 49:50
  what
• 49:50
  it's
• 49:50
  all
• 49:50
  about.
• 49:51
  And
• 49:51
  it's
• 49:51
  just
• 49:51
  amazing
• 49:52
  when
• 49:52
  you
• 49:52
  see
• 49:52
  it
• 49:53
  happen.
• 49:53
  It
• 49:53
  is.
• 49:54
  You're
• 49:54
  right,
• 49:54
  Tim.
• 49:54
  Now
• 49:55
  we're
• 49:56
  going
• 49:56
  to
• 49:56
  mention
• 49:56
  the
• 49:56
  book
• 49:57
  before
• 49:57
  we
• 49:57
  go.
• 49:58
  Any
• 49:58
  other
• 49:58
  upcoming
• 49:59
  projects
• 49:59
  that
• 50:00
  you'd
• 50:00
  like
• 50:00
  to
• 50:00
  mention
• 50:01
  to
• 50:01
  the
• 50:01
  folks?
• 50:02
  No,
• 50:03
  Just
• 50:03
  a
• 50:03
  Virgin
• 50:03
  river
• 50:04
  and
• 50:04
  then.
• 50:04
  Damn
• 50:04
  glad
• 50:04
  to
• 50:05
  meet
• 50:05
  you.
• 50:05
  My
• 50:05
  seven
• 50:06
  years
• 50:07
  and
• 50:07
  my
• 50:07
  seven
• 50:08
  decades
• 50:08
  in
• 50:08
  the
• 50:08
  Hollywood
• 50:08
  trenches
• 50:09
  is,
• 50:11
  you
• 50:11
  know,
• 50:12
  that's
• 50:12
  coming
• 50:12
  out.
• 50:13
  It's
• 50:13
  now
• 50:13
  it's
• 50:14
  out.
• 50:14
  It's
• 50:14
  available
• 50:14
  for
• 50:15
  your
• 50:15
  local
• 50:15
  bookstore.
• 50:16
  Pick
• 50:16
  it
• 50:16
  up
• 50:16
  at
• 50:16
  the
• 50:16
  bookstore.
• 50:17
  And
• 50:17
  it's.
• 50:18
  It's.
• 50:19
  It's
• 50:19
  a
• 50:19
  good.
• 50:20
  It's
• 50:21
  a
• 50:21
  good
• 50:21
  read.
• 50:21
  It's
• 50:22
  a
• 50:22
  lot
• 50:22
  of
• 50:22
  fun
• 50:22
  and
• 50:22
  it's
• 50:23
  some
• 50:23
  backstage
• 50:23
  stories
• 50:24
  and
• 50:24
  it's
• 50:24
  what
• 50:25
  it
• 50:25
  was
• 50:25
  like
• 50:25
  to
• 50:25
  work
• 50:25
  with
• 50:26
  some
• 50:26
  of
• 50:26
  the
• 50:26
  icons
• 50:27
  and
• 50:27
  in
• 50:28
  cinema
• 50:29
  that
• 50:30
  today's
• 50:31
  audience
• 50:31
  hasn't
• 50:31
  really,
• 50:32
  you
• 50:32
  know,
• 50:32
  don't
• 50:32
  know
• 50:33
  that
• 50:33
  perhaps
• 50:33
  that
• 50:34
  well.
• 50:34
  And
• 50:34
  it's,
• 50:34
  you
• 50:34
  know,
• 50:35
  so
• 50:35
  it's
• 50:35
  a
• 50:35
  look
• 50:35
  back
• 50:35
  and
• 50:36
  it's
• 50:36
  a
• 50:36
  look
• 50:36
  forward
• 50:37
  and
• 50:39
  it's
• 50:39
  just
• 50:39
  how
• 50:39
  much
• 50:39
  fun
• 50:40
  I've
• 50:40
  had
• 50:40
  as
• 50:40
  I've
• 50:41
  done
• 50:41
  this.
• 50:41
  Right.
• 50:42
  It's
• 50:42
  Tim's
• 50:43
  career,
• 50:44
  which,
• 50:44
  as
• 50:44
  he
• 50:45
  says,
• 50:45
  spans
• 50:45
  seven
• 50:46
  decades.
• 50:47
  And
• 50:47
  there's
• 50:47
  some
• 50:48
  great
• 50:48
  names
• 50:48
  in
• 50:48
  there,
• 50:49
  some
• 50:49
  great
• 50:49
  little
• 50:50
  tidbits
• 50:50
  that
• 50:51
  you
• 50:51
  guys
• 50:51
  will
• 50:52
  enjoy.
• 50:52
  And
• 50:53
  as
• 50:53
  we
• 50:53
  said,
• 50:54
  the
• 50:54
  Christmas
• 50:55
  holidays
• 50:55
  are
• 50:55
  coming
• 50:56
  up.
• 50:56
  A
• 50:56
  great
• 50:57
  gift,
• 50:57
  Tim.
• 50:58
  Yeah,
• 50:58
  thanks,
• 50:59
  Bill.
• 50:59
  It's
• 50:59
  been
• 51:00
  an
• 51:00
  honor
• 51:00
  and
• 51:00
  a
• 51:00
  pleasure.
• 51:01
  What
• 51:01
  is
• 51:01
  somebody
• 51:02
  calling
• 51:02
  me
• 51:02
  now
• 51:03
  for
• 51:03
  Brian?
• 51:04
  Oh,
• 51:04
  it's
• 51:05
  Andre
• 51:05
  Dawson.
• 51:06
  I
• 51:06
  can't
• 51:07
  take
• 51:07
  this
• 51:07
  call.
• 51:08
  I
• 51:09
  don't
• 51:09
  know,
• 51:10
  you
• 51:10
  know,
• 51:10
  Andre.
• 51:11
  Hello?
• 51:11
  You
• 51:11
  know
• 51:11
  Andre
• 51:12
  Dawson,
• 51:12
  Tim.
• 51:14
  Yes,
• 51:14
  I
• 51:14
  know
• 51:14
  he
• 51:14
  is.
• 51:15
  Yeah,
• 51:15
  okay.
• 51:15
  Yeah,
• 51:16
  he's
• 51:16
  ringing
• 51:16
  me.
• 51:16
  I
• 51:17
  don't
• 51:17
  know
• 51:17
  what
• 51:17
  he
• 51:17
  wants,
• 51:17
  but
• 51:18
  I'll
• 51:18
  get
• 51:18
  back.
• 51:20
  It's
• 51:20
  been
• 51:20
  an
• 51:21
  honor
• 51:21
  and
• 51:21
  a
• 51:21
  pleasure,
• 51:22
  Tim.
• 51:22
  I
• 51:22
  appreciate
• 51:23
  it.
• 51:23
  Thanks

  just
• 53:57
  a
• 53:57
  great
• 53:58
  experience.
• 53:59
  It's
• 53:59
  definitely
• 53:59
  worthwhile
• 54:00
  checking
• 54:01
  out.
• 54:01
  The

  hall

• 54:11
  Not
• 54:11
  too
• 54:11
  bad
• 54:12
  if
• 54:12
  you're
• 54:13
  in
• 54:13
  Cooperstown.
• 54:13
  You
• 54:14
  could
• 54:14
  take
• 54:14
  a
• 54:14
  ride
• 54:15
  to
• 54:15
  Gloversville

• 54:18
  and
• 54:18
  the
• 54:19
  hall
• 54:19

• 54:19

• 54:20
  It's
• 54:20
  right
• 54:20
  across
• 54:21
  the
• 54:21
  street
• 54:21
  from
• 54:22
  a
• 54:22
  very
• 54:23

• 54:25
  You
• 54:25
  can
• 54:25
  look
• 54:25
  it
• 54:26
  up
• 54:26
  and
• 54:27
  find
• 54:27
  out
• 54:27
  exactly
• 54:28
  what
• 54:28
  happened
• 54:28
  on
• 54:29
  that
• 54:29
  ball
• 54:29
  field.
• 54:31
  But
• 54:31
  it's
• 54:31
  a
• 54:32
  great
• 54:32
  building.
• 54:32
  It's
• 54:33

• 54:33
  great
• 54:33

• 54:53
  You'll
• 54:53
  see
• 54:54
  the
• 54:54

• 54:55
  You'll
• 54:56
  see
• 54:56
  the

• 55:00
  which
• 55:00
  is
• 55:01
  really
• 55:02
  just

• 55:03
  work
• 55:03
  of
