- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Or the Marbot band.
- 0:47SPEAKER_03: Well, you know, never know.
- 0:48SPEAKER_03: I just quit nicotine.
- 0:49SPEAKER_03: So there's a really good idea.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: Wait, do you feel better?
- 0:51SPEAKER_03: Uh somewhat.
- 0:52SPEAKER_03: And then I still, you know, get a stuff.

- 1:01SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: I love when people criticize it too.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: I'm like, don't yuck my yum.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: If you don't want to drink it, don't drink it.
- 1:07unknown: But yeah.
- 1:07SPEAKER_03: That being said, if Zen wanted to sponsor me, I would I would go back.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: Amen.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: I think, you know, there's enough money in the code products.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: You could sponsor all three of us, actually.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: It's plenty of money.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: I know I have like a small addiction, so I'm shooting the CRS the rest this week, but I checked into another hotel last night because the good people at the Yam, they charge a lot of money if you're not there at the time.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: So I I literally had to fill my backpack with these this morning to make sure like I could get my life together.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: I need to see you.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: You don't even know the airport with right hole.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: You don't even know this is the back of the airport.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: I must kill me yesterday.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: So you're from the Ozarks.
- 1:45SPEAKER_03: Well, yeah, I'm from Fort Smith, Arkansas, which is uh in the river valley of Arkansas.
- 1:50SPEAKER_03: So it's south of the Ozarks, north of the Washtaw Mountains.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: Wait, is it as cool as I hear the Ozarks?
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: The Ozarks?
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:57SPEAKER_03: Uh yeah, I would certainly say so.
- 1:59SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 1:59SPEAKER_03: You know, it's a unique part of uh the country.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I hear wonderful things.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: I love it.
- 2:04SPEAKER_03: It's beautiful.
- 2:04SPEAKER_03: I would tell you that.
- 2:05SPEAKER_03: It is absolutely stunningly beautiful.
- 2:07SPEAKER_03: You know, I I'm from Fort Smith, which is about 45 minutes south of Fayetteville, Arkansas, which is where the university is.
- 2:14SPEAKER_03: And uh I want to say Fayetteville is constantly ranked and you know, like the best place to live in the SEC.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 2:20SPEAKER_03: But if you go up there, have you been up there?
- 2:21SPEAKER_03: No, you need to go up there.
- 2:23SPEAKER_03: It's a beautiful you know, drive up I-49, uh, go through the mountains.
- 2:28SPEAKER_03: It's stunning, especially in the fall.
- 2:29SPEAKER_03: It's great.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: Oh, I bet.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: I was gonna say what season is the best.
- 2:33SPEAKER_03: Oh, the fall.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's the way it is in Pennsylvania too.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Like the the leaves change, and it's such a beautiful season up in Pennsylvania too.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Up in the mountain part, not the city.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: That damn city stays the same all the time.
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: Are you an Eagles fan, my friend?
- 2:46SPEAKER_03: No, absolutely not.
- 2:47SPEAKER_03: And and uh just before we started rolling, I found out that you were like an Eagles fan.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: I am I am I know I am I am a Philadelphia sports fan.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't really um I don't I don't I'm gonna say this to some people are gonna be like, Deb, you're I'm not really like I love football.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: I I mean I'm I'm from Texas, so we love ourselves some football.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: But a few weeks ago, my husband and I, because the snow, we got like 26 inches a month, something absurd.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: And so we went down to spring training to see in Clearwater to see the Phillies.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: And then I kind of became a baseball fan because I think drinking beer and eating hot dogs is a great thing to do.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'll be able to do it.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Amen.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: I'll cheer it.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: That's all you need.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: That's all you need.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: That's really all you need in your life.
- 3:30SPEAKER_03: So I kind of became I I do think it is interesting because you said you were you're born outside of Dallas in Frisco, right?
- 3:36SPEAKER_03: You know, of course, Frisco now is where the headquarters of the Cowboys are.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: Oh, I lived, that's where my place was.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: I got rid of it last March because I was here all the time.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: I lived at the star.
- 3:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:46SPEAKER_03: It's great.
- 3:46SPEAKER_03: And I used to put green lights up.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: It is like, I don't know if you're a football fan.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: In it is the only team in the NFL that has something like that.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: It's really, it's a really cool place.
- 3:59SPEAKER_03: Jerry Jones is a brilliant business player.
- 4:01SPEAKER_03: He is, but you know what?
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: He can't coach the football team.
- 4:03SPEAKER_03: I'm not sure as a manager, he always says, But I don't think they're ever.
- 4:06SPEAKER_03: I'm not going to criticize a fellow Arcanson like that.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: No, I would never ask you to disrespect anybody, sir.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: We just became really good friends.
- 4:12SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 4:13SPEAKER_03: I love, listen, I love the Cowboys.
- 4:15SPEAKER_03: I love the Cowboys.
- 4:16SPEAKER_03: I blame my parents.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: I totally see us taunting each other next to the closest.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: I blame my parents.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: And that's okay.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: Everybody blames their parents.
- 4:24SPEAKER_03: It's okay.
- 4:24SPEAKER_03: This year's our year, right?
- 4:25SPEAKER_03: I would hear that.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: Oh, listen, have they won a Super Bowl in your lifetime?
- 4:29SPEAKER_03: No, they haven't.
- 4:30SPEAKER_03: And and thank you, Deb, for bringing that up.
- 4:32SPEAKER_03: I I really appreciate that.
- 4:34SPEAKER_03: Because, you know, I tell my parents all the time.
- 4:37SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 4:37SPEAKER_03: I go, Mom, Dad, I love you so much.
- 4:40SPEAKER_03: But you did one giant disservice to me.
- 4:43SPEAKER_03: And they go, Christian, what did you do?
- 4:44SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 4:45SPEAKER_03: Or what did we do?
- 4:45SPEAKER_03: And I I go, Well, Mom, Dad, uh, you bore me into um two of the worst fan bases to be born into.
- 4:54SPEAKER_03: And it's not because they're bad fan bases or they're bad teams or anything like that.
- 4:58SPEAKER_03: It's number one, the Dallas Cowboys, and the other one is the Arkansas Razorbacks, because we love our teams so much that we have this just blind hope every single year.
- 5:11SPEAKER_03: And and every single season.
- 5:16SPEAKER_03: Yes, as well, it should be.
- 5:18SPEAKER_03: It looks great on everything.
- 5:19SPEAKER_03: This is this podcast is just defending the Cowboys.
- 5:23SPEAKER_03: Defending the podcast hour.
- 5:24SPEAKER_03: Defending the Cowboys hour.
- 5:26SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: They're gonna be like, I'm gonna have to crack that beer.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: I can feel it.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: I gotta crack one of those beers.
- 5:31SPEAKER_03: But every season there's a game that it hits, and you're like, oh yeah, this is our time.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: This year was the best I've seen Dak looking.
- 5:41SPEAKER_03: It's great.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: Well, D was signed.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: It's great.
- 5:46SPEAKER_03: It was.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: It's all good.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: It's all good.
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: I think with Jerry Jones, the thing is with Jerry Jones is, and no disrespect, sir.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: Um they're not gonna win another Super Bowl unless he steps back and lets the coach be a coach.
- 5:58SPEAKER_03: Who knows?
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: I mean, so when I lived at the store, I lived in a high rise and I had two balconies, one off my bedroom and one off the living room, that overlook their practice facility.
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:08SPEAKER_01: And this is what people used to say they're like, you should go down there and steal their plays.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: I'm like, we don't need their freaking place.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: We're not trying to go backwards, and you know course at that time, what what year was that?
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: Uh what?
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: I just moved out last year.
- 6:22SPEAKER_01: I was there for three years.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: Okay, okay, I didn't know.
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: Last March I moved out to spend the winter in the darkest, coldest place, the city of Brotherly Love.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: And then when the Eagles went out on the wild guard, I was like, I'm done.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: I'm totally done.
- 6:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 6:37SPEAKER_03: I think I've only been to Philadelphia one time and I was touring Penn when I was looking at colleges.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, great.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: It's a great you know, I think this the city has is we're getting the the World Cup soccer, so I guess I gotta clean up.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: The city has changed a lot since the pandemic, I guess, kind of like everything.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: Certainly.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: You know, so it's one of the things.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: All right, let's talk some music.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: Rewind.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: Let's talk some music.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: How'd you get started?
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: How far back do you want me to go?
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: Um, well, there hasn't been a Super Bowl in your lifetime.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: So you don't feel back that far.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: You're baptized in Texas.
- 7:15SPEAKER_03: I was not baptized.
- 7:15SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 7:16SPEAKER_03: What your bio says.
- 7:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah, well, baptizing the Texas honky tonk.
- 7:19SPEAKER_03: I was baptized.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: I was reading that the other day in the car to my husband.
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: He's like cracking me.
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: He's like, This is your kind of dude, Deb.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: Somebody asked me one time what a honky tonk was, and we're serious.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: They're like, it's a honky tongue.
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: I'm like, it's only to be experienced.
- 7:33SPEAKER_03: I had to just teach a country artist what a honky tonk was, actually, the other day.
- 7:38SPEAKER_03: She goes, What do you call it?
- 7:39SPEAKER_03: Like a country bar?
- 7:40SPEAKER_03: And I go, honky tonk?
- 7:42SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 7:43SPEAKER_03: She was like, Oh yeah, is that what that is?
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: It's only a bonus if they have armadillo racing.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: Fort Worth.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: Those damn armadillas.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: I'm like, yes.
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: She started to cheer for the armadillo.
- 7:54SPEAKER_03: When I was in college, I would I was at Billy Bob's every Thursday.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: Billy Bobs.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: Did you play Billy Bobs?
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: I've not played, but I saw uh Langley there.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: It was so packed.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: I want to go.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: We're getting you into Billy Bobs.
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: That'll be fun.
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: For facts, we totally are.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: That's a bucket list.
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: It's a bucket list.
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: We are surrounded by Texans here today.
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: This is good.
- 8:11SPEAKER_01: Just a lot of ego in this room, I can tell you.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: A lot of ego.
- 8:15SPEAKER_03: We gotta be clear, gotta be clear.
- 8:16SPEAKER_03: I I am an Arkansan.
- 8:17SPEAKER_03: I'm an Arkansan.
- 8:18SPEAKER_03: I just lived in Texas from 18 to 26.
- 8:21SPEAKER_03: You were close enough, I think.
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think that meant.
- 8:23SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I was close on the board.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: So when did you start music?
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: When did you start country?
- 8:26SPEAKER_03: So uh country.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: So I want to hear about the law degree.
- 8:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: So nobody slip and fall.
- 8:31SPEAKER_01: We got a lawyer in here.
- 8:33SPEAKER_03: We just we're hoping one of these cameras blows up so we can get a products liability case going on.
- 8:38SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: No, not.
- 8:39SPEAKER_01: I have the best media team.
- 8:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 8:41SPEAKER_03: Well, we wouldn't we wouldn't go after the media team, we go after the manufacturer.
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: Even better.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: Mitch, go knock that camera over.
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: What are you doing sitting there?
- 8:51SPEAKER_03: Geez Louise.
- 8:52SPEAKER_03: Um but so like I started p playing piano in second grade.
- 8:58SPEAKER_03: So my mom turned me on piano in second grade.
- 9:00SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 9:01SPEAKER_03: And I always wanted to play guitar.
- 9:05SPEAKER_03: Um, but my mom, and I agree with her, thought it was important to learn piano because if you know anything about music theory, it's certainly a lot easier to look at the way a piano is laid out and understand conceptually.
- 9:18SPEAKER_03: And that's still the way I think about things.
- 9:20SPEAKER_03: If I'm building chords, you know, like the guitar is a matrix and then it changes based on the tuning.
- 9:26SPEAKER_03: But the piano, you know, you can just sit there and go, okay, one, three, five, seven, you know, whatever it is.
- 9:31SPEAKER_01: Um but so I I Was your family in music?
- 9:35SPEAKER_03: So my mom plays piano, uh, and my grandmother, uh Moo Ma is what do we call her.
- 9:42SPEAKER_03: Moo Ma.
- 9:43SPEAKER_03: I love Amy.
- 9:44SPEAKER_03: My grandmother Amy.
- 9:46SPEAKER_03: Um she played piano since she was four years old and played piano at her church for 73 years.
- 9:54SPEAKER_03: Wow, yeah.
- 9:55SPEAKER_03: For 73 years and just had to stop this past year.
- 9:58SPEAKER_03: She's uh about to be 91.
- 10:01SPEAKER_01: Wow, God has blessed her.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: Yes, no doubt.
- 10:04SPEAKER_01: God has blessed her.
- 10:06SPEAKER_03: Certainly.
- 10:06SPEAKER_03: Now my dad can my dad can knows a few chords on the guitar, but he was actually a DJ back in the 70s.
- 10:13SPEAKER_03: He was a Billboard ranked DJ.
- 10:16SPEAKER_03: In the 70s, like played Studio 54.
- 10:18SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh.
- 10:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:19SPEAKER_03: It's so funny.
- 10:20SPEAKER_03: Like, I have all these photos of him back in the day with long, blonde, you know, hair feathered, all the thing, the looks, the leisure suits.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: I have all this stuff.
- 10:30SPEAKER_03: And uh it's funny now because he he's he's bald.
- 10:32SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 10:33SPEAKER_03: It's kind of bald, but uh I'm holding on as long as I can.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: You have great hair.
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 10:37SPEAKER_03: I'm holding on as long as I can.
- 10:39SPEAKER_03: My brother's also bald.
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: Totally.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: So you know, just you know, get some anoxidal, rub it in there.
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: Who's to say I haven't already started?
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: We'll take that too, right?
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: Listen, it's really important.
- 10:51SPEAKER_01: When you guys are on stage, it's important to look a certain way.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, I really do.
- 10:55SPEAKER_01: I think it's important, you know, to look.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: I don't know, I'm I've never been on stage in my life, but you know, you have to look that part.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: Got to.
- 11:03SPEAKER_03: So I started playing guitar then in fourth grade.
- 11:05SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 11:06SPEAKER_03: Damn, bam.
- 11:08SPEAKER_03: And then I've started playing tuba in seventh.
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: I played tuba.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: You played tuba?
- 11:13SPEAKER_03: Oh, actually.
- 11:14SPEAKER_03: There you go.
- 11:15SPEAKER_03: It's awesome.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: That's amazing.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: I was first chair.
- 11:19SPEAKER_03: As was I.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: As was I.
- 11:22SPEAKER_03: There you go.
- 11:22SPEAKER_03: You guys are bringing your chubby.
- 11:23SPEAKER_03: How many times did you go to Allstate?
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: Once.
- 11:26SPEAKER_03: Twice.
- 11:28SPEAKER_03: That's okay.
- 11:29SPEAKER_03: You're from Texas.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: We have a competitive lawyer in the house.
- 11:32SPEAKER_03: You're from Texas, though, right?
- 11:33SPEAKER_03: I am.
- 11:33SPEAKER_03: Okay, well, Allstate in Texas is probably a little harder than Allstate in Arkansas.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: Just a little bit.
- 11:38SPEAKER_01: That's okay.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: I'm proud of you in those two times.
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I am.
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: I'm still a really big accomplishment.
- 11:43SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 11:43SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: Did you look crazy carrying the tuba?
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: Like the case for the tuba is obnoxious.
- 11:48SPEAKER_03: No, I think I look exactly what you think a tuba player looks like.
- 11:51SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 11:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 11:52SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 11:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: I called you the Marbow man earlier.
- 11:55SPEAKER_01: For God's sakes, throw me a bone here.
- 11:58SPEAKER_03: So I when I was in seventh grade, which is when the band program started at um back in Fort Smith, um, I went in and I was trying out and I wanted to play trumpet really badly because I wanted to play the melody.
- 12:11SPEAKER_03: And um I was trying it out and my lips were too big.
- 12:15SPEAKER_03: My lips were too big.
- 12:16SPEAKER_03: I couldn't get my you know, I couldn't get sell all.
- 12:22SPEAKER_03: I couldn't get I couldn't get my lips tight enough.
- 12:24SPEAKER_03: And so, you know, then you just start going out in mouthpieces.
- 12:28SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 12:28SPEAKER_03: And so eventually it was like, you know, I get down to the two, but the biggest one, they're like, and I played it and I and they're like, oh, this works.
- 12:35SPEAKER_03: And then I go, well, maybe I want to do percussion then because I'd seen like the movie drumline.
- 12:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:39SPEAKER_03: You know, and you're like, oh yeah, I'm gonna be like I'm gonna be the drummer, I'm gonna do like be a snare drummer or quads or something.
- 12:45SPEAKER_03: And um and the band director at the time is a lady named uh Jennifer Steele, Miss Steele.
- 12:51SPEAKER_03: Um she she looks at me, she's like, We need tuba players, and so that's what it was.
- 12:58SPEAKER_03: And I think ditch diggers.
- 13:00SPEAKER_03: I think they were like, let's take the tall fat.
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: They were like, we're gonna take the tall fat kid and like put him in the back and like walk around.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: But yeah, that's did the tuba like eat you alive because you're little.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: I was the only tuba player.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: You were all those three, yes.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: And they needed a tuba.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: Yep, that's why I was first chair.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 13:20SPEAKER_03: Oh, the details are coming out now.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: I see, yeah, bro.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: I was first chair at like I don't typically let people beat up on my co-host.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I typically a whole room full of co-hosts.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: It's almost like I don't even need to be on the podcast.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: But all right, so you were doing that when you were young.
- 13:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and I started playing in bands in eighth grade.
- 13:44SPEAKER_03: And so I was right, yeah, here's my confession.
- 13:48SPEAKER_03: Okay, ready.
- 13:49SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry, you know.
- 13:50SPEAKER_03: Forgive me, Father, for I have sent the um the uh like growing up, we didn't listen to a ton of country music.
- 13:58SPEAKER_03: Um when we did, we listened to artists like Toby Keith, um Tracey Hadge.
- 14:04SPEAKER_03: God rest his soul.
- 14:05SPEAKER_03: You know, God rest his soul.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: Red Solo Cup, I love Toby Keith.
- 14:09SPEAKER_03: I love Toby Keith, and and I think in a lot of ways you can hear that the music that I'm writing now.
- 14:16SPEAKER_03: But so when we were I was raised on classic rock, like 60s, 70s, 80s rock.
- 14:23SPEAKER_03: And so I always had a classic rock cover band from eighth grade, eighth grade, ninth grade, all the way through senior year, and we changed the name of the band every year.
- 14:34SPEAKER_03: So I want to say in eighth grade, in eighth grade, we probably peaked and it went downhill from there, but we had a band called the Pimpin' Purple Pigeons from the Planet Lovetron 9.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 14:45SPEAKER_03: PPPL9.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: Iconic.
- 14:47SPEAKER_03: It's kind of great, actually.
- 14:49SPEAKER_03: It's kind of great, actually.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: If we're being hit that on at on swag.
- 14:52SPEAKER_03: You know, and we wrote a song too.
- 14:53SPEAKER_03: It was like, we're the pimp and purple pigeons from the planet Lovetron, and we hope you'd sing along.
- 15:00SPEAKER_03: It was great.
- 15:01SPEAKER_03: It was great.
- 15:01SPEAKER_03: We were uh we were a massive beautiful we were a massive hit at like uh at like community events, you know.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: Hey, we get our start somewhere, you know, right?
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: Playing spring festival, right?
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: We were huge, huge hits at a couple barbecue festivals, barbecue and beer.
- 15:19SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, God bless the South.
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, God bless the South.
- 15:22SPEAKER_03: Love it.
- 15:23SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, always always did that.
- 15:25SPEAKER_03: And um and then when I I wrote songs and we played certain songs, and actually I wrote the first song I wrote, which I probably should have been like a precursor or like an indication to things to come, was in ninth grade, a girl broke my heart, and I wrote a song called Don't Wanna See You Again.
- 15:46SPEAKER_03: Wow, and and it was vicious, it was vindictive, it was You're the little Taylor Swift ish.
- 15:53SPEAKER_03: That's exactly what my mom says.
- 15:55SPEAKER_03: And this album I'm recording.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: Shout out to you, Taylor, but come on.
- 16:01SPEAKER_03: Like, is all that.
- 16:03SPEAKER_01: It's all that's all when's the album coming out.
- 16:06SPEAKER_03: So the album right now is I think it's gonna come out sometime in September.
- 16:10SPEAKER_03: The first single, the first single called Gucci Boots and Goodbye.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: I was just about to ask about Gucci Boots.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: Oh, I will tell you the story.
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: We're girls, we love our Gucci Boots.
- 16:19SPEAKER_03: I will tell you that story.
- 16:20SPEAKER_03: Um, but hold on, I'll finish.
- 16:22SPEAKER_03: I got I we got so many things going on right now.
- 16:24SPEAKER_01: Uh that's me.
- 16:25SPEAKER_01: I'm like fly fly.
- 16:27SPEAKER_03: I will tell you, I will tell you about it.
- 16:29SPEAKER_03: The um, but I'd always written songs, and so when I went to college, went to college at SMU down Dallas.
- 16:38SPEAKER_03: Beautiful campus.
- 16:39SPEAKER_03: Beautiful campus.
- 16:40SPEAKER_03: We paint the grass green.
- 16:41SPEAKER_03: It's uh it's beautiful.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Jerry Jones's glass, his grass is always green.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: He doesn't have to fall or anything.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: When I lived the star, I'm like, why can we only water every with this manga water any time again once?
- 16:54SPEAKER_03: That's great.
- 16:54SPEAKER_03: I loved I love my time at SMU, and so that's why I say it's a great school.
- 16:58SPEAKER_03: I got three college teams in this order.
- 17:00SPEAKER_03: Number one, SMU, because I went there, number two, Arkansas, because I was raised there, and then number three, Baylor, because that's where I went to law school.
- 17:06SPEAKER_01: Is that where you I was where you went to Barst?
- 17:08SPEAKER_03: So I got a team in the SEC, team in the ACC, and the team in the Big Twelve.
- 17:12SPEAKER_03: Also a great school.
- 17:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 17:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: You're it's essentially a Texan.
- 17:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah, basically, I guess so.
- 17:18SPEAKER_03: I I can wear boots.
- 17:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, the funny thing is, is I think I wear more boots here in Nashville than I ever did in Texas.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: Oh, certainly.
- 17:25SPEAKER_03: Certainly in Dallas.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, Dallas is bougie.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: It is a very bougie.
- 17:31SPEAKER_01: It's a and Frisco has become bougie.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: Yes, it is.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: I love Frisco, Texas.
- 17:35SPEAKER_01: God bless the people from there.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: I mean, it is such a great place to live.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: And uh my family's there.
- 17:40SPEAKER_01: I have younger, my brother's kids are younger, so they're in the school systems there, and it is, it's a great place.
- 17:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:47SPEAKER_01: So let's talk about Gucci boots.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: Did you bring Addison and I a pair?
- 17:51SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 17:51SPEAKER_03: Unfortunately, that you know, I ordered some.
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 17:54SPEAKER_03: And they haven't come in yet.
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: Just ship them to Mitch.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: He'll make sure we get them.
- 17:58SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: He'll take care of it.
- 17:59SPEAKER_03: Okay, this is the story behind Gucci Boots.
- 18:01SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 18:02SPEAKER_03: So when this song comes out, every word of it's true.
- 18:04SPEAKER_03: I and I I didn't even bother to change the name of the girl.
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: Spicy.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I know.
- 18:12SPEAKER_03: Well, I mean, her name just rhymes.
- 18:17SPEAKER_03: Well, her name just rhymed.
- 18:19SPEAKER_03: I mean, her name was Caroline, and it just rhymed with so many things, you know?
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:23SPEAKER_01: Well, that's you're a real artist.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: You figure out to work your heartache right into the song.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you're not going to be able to do that.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: You're in bed for country music.
- 18:28SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 18:29SPEAKER_03: And um, and listen, there's no bad blood there, I'll I don't think.
- 18:33SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: Oh no, there could be not until the song goes out.
- 18:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, not until the song goes.
- 18:37SPEAKER_01: She figures out that she's the Caroline.
- 18:38SPEAKER_03: Well, she well, well, it's pretty obvious.
- 18:41SPEAKER_03: Um, but I, you know, I I saw her last October in Barcelona, Spain for uh for a buddy of mine's uh wedding, and and she goes, We've been teasing at the acoustic version.
- 18:52SPEAKER_03: She goes, I heard you're writing new music.
- 18:54SPEAKER_03: And I go, Well, yeah, we are.
- 18:56SPEAKER_03: And she goes, Well, I want to hear the song.
- 18:58SPEAKER_03: And so I played her the acoustic version on my phone.
- 19:01SPEAKER_03: And she goes, Wait, this is actually a really sweet song.
- 19:03SPEAKER_03: I go, it's more self-deprecating than anything.
- 19:05SPEAKER_03: I don't hate you.
- 19:06SPEAKER_03: Right, right.
- 19:07SPEAKER_03: I don't hate you.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: I tried to hate you and I couldn't do that.
- 19:10SPEAKER_03: No, no, she's actually a really sweet girl.
- 19:12SPEAKER_03: You know, she's broke my heart, but it's okay.
- 19:14SPEAKER_03: It's all right.
- 19:15SPEAKER_03: She's a sweet girl.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: She's a big rock star now.
- 19:17SPEAKER_03: You know, you know.
- 19:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 19:20SPEAKER_03: Anyway, but yeah, so the song Gucci Boots, so I literally so I my first year law school, I had a buddy of mine from college also come down to law school with me.
- 19:34SPEAKER_03: We're in class we were classmates, and his now wife was on the uh SMU dance team, and so they're like cheer and dance were together.
- 19:43SPEAKER_03: And so her best friend was uh the captain of the SMU cheer team.
- 19:50SPEAKER_03: And I uh had tickets to this black tie charity gala in Arkansas.
- 19:57SPEAKER_03: And uh you have those there?
- 19:59SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: That's just a little joke.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: That was a Philly.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: I feel bad after that.
- 20:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's alright.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: That's alright.
- 20:08SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 20:09SPEAKER_03: It's okay.
- 20:09SPEAKER_03: It's a little Philly.
- 20:10SPEAKER_03: That's a Philly, it's all right.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: No one from Jerry have ever said that out loud.
- 20:15SPEAKER_03: Little Yankee, it's alright.
- 20:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's alright.
- 20:17SPEAKER_03: I know, I get it.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: I get it.
- 20:20SPEAKER_03: But anyway, I had there was this charity gala, and um and so I had four tickets, and so it was me, Derek, his his wife, uh now Lillian, and then I needed uh, and I was going, Well, can you help me find a date?
- 20:34SPEAKER_03: And uh they said, sure, we have this great gal for you.
- 20:37SPEAKER_01: Stop it.
- 20:37SPEAKER_01: It was her.
- 20:38SPEAKER_03: It was her, and it was Caroline, and and I know, look, we're over here like team Caroline.
- 20:43SPEAKER_03: And she was from and she's from Arkansas.
- 20:45SPEAKER_03: Um, great gal, and so reached out and said, Hey, this thing's going on, would you come up?
- 20:51SPEAKER_03: And it was always just supposed to be like this is just like a date for a night thing.
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 20:56SPEAKER_03: And so we drove up from Wednesday.
- 20:59SPEAKER_03: Rent a, rent a, I think they're called escorts.
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 21:04SPEAKER_01: Like they should get like an Uber Eats app.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: I need a date for a wedding.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: I gotta go to my high school reunion being a big ass loser.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: Like, they need to have that.
- 21:12SPEAKER_03: Good lord.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: And I'll take fries and a milk.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: They knew.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: That's probably be a very profitable business.
- 21:21SPEAKER_03: I I imagine that what probably would be.
- 21:23SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: We don't even need diet code.
- 21:26SPEAKER_03: Why do we need we're gonna why don't we go into business together, Deb?
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: Cool, because you're a lawyer now.
- 21:31SPEAKER_01: There'd be a lot of lawsuits.
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: I would love that.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: I would love that.
- 21:34SPEAKER_03: I'm trying to imagine the liabilities that could be incurred with renting a date for renting a date.
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:40SPEAKER_01: Well, they have to drive themselves.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: This is what I tell my single friends, and then we'll get back to the Gucci boots, right?
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: Okay, I have single friends that are like actively dating.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: I'm like, take your own car, take your own money.
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: If you decide like halfway through the date that this dude sucks, throw some cash on it, get in your car and peace out.
- 21:58SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: Good to know.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm married, but I think that like it's gotta be hard.
- 22:08SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: Are you single?
- 22:10SPEAKER_03: I am single.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: Uh see, this is when things start to get personal.
- 22:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 22:14SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: Let's go back to Gucci Boots.
- 22:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 22:16SPEAKER_03: Well, um, so we're headed up to Arkansas.
- 22:19SPEAKER_03: Um, she was the day for the night, and um, it was great.
- 22:22SPEAKER_03: We were actually really hit it off well.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: And um big tip if you were got her from an app.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: Like that's a 25% tipper, I think.
- 22:32SPEAKER_03: Good lord, good lord.
- 22:34SPEAKER_03: It's like a performance review.
- 22:36SPEAKER_03: You would have you would put people on like pips, you would put them on like performance improvement programs.
- 22:40SPEAKER_03: Totally, I would.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: Totally.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: I'm from Texas, we don't raise quitters.
- 22:44SPEAKER_03: Good lord, good lord.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: Is that the first thing you learn when you're a Texan?
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: We don't raise quitters.
- 22:49SPEAKER_03: We don't raise quitters, we don't raise quitters.
- 22:51SPEAKER_01: You get back on our rent on our poor niece was terrified to jump in a pool and we're all like Sadie, we don't raise quitters.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: I'm like, she's like, I'm gonna rise that pretty much.
- 23:00SPEAKER_03: You're either gonna drown or you're gonna swim.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: And it was pretty much right.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: And I realized I'm like, we are some dysfunctional family.
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: Like, we shouldn't be doing that shit to little kids.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: Really bad.
- 23:11SPEAKER_03: Oh Lord.
- 23:11SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 23:12SPEAKER_01: So the Gucci boots is Gucci boots.
- 23:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: Um you know, for women, it always comes back to the Gucci boots.
- 23:19SPEAKER_03: It always comes back to the Gucci boots.
- 23:21SPEAKER_03: So let me uh we're getting there.
- 23:23SPEAKER_03: So anyway, we hit we hit things off and we ended up starting to date.
- 23:28SPEAKER_03: And about three months in, I had a show in Dallas and uh for my old fraternity, and and my fraternity asked me, they're like, Well, how much do you want to get paid?
- 23:39SPEAKER_03: And I threw out a number.
- 23:41SPEAKER_03: And uh, and they were like, Oh, yeah, that's fine.
- 23:43SPEAKER_03: I was like, Well, okay.
- 23:44SPEAKER_03: Okay, well, that changed my mind.
- 23:46SPEAKER_03: I doubled it.
- 23:47SPEAKER_03: I may have charged an absurd amount to begin with, and I was expecting them to kind of go back and forth with me.
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: But anyway, right they did it anyway.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: Well, that's a bonus, you know, when you don't have to negotiate money, that's a book.
- 23:57SPEAKER_01: The crappiest part about this job is you have to negotiate cash.
- 24:00SPEAKER_03: Exactly, exactly.
- 24:02SPEAKER_03: Um, so anyway, once I paid the band, um I had quite a bit of money left over, and I was feeling really good about this relationship.
- 24:12SPEAKER_03: And um and so we went shopping, went to North Park there in Dallas.
- 24:18SPEAKER_02: God dare I frequent that.
- 24:20SPEAKER_03: And uh and we went in there and I was and she had just we had actually just gotten like uh lunch with my family that day.
- 24:27SPEAKER_03: She's like, she had just met my family, like all this stuff.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: Thanks for going.
- 24:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah, thanks.
- 24:31SPEAKER_03: It was it was three months in.
- 24:34SPEAKER_03: You know, I'm thinking, you know, this is pretty good.
- 24:36SPEAKER_03: And um so I take her shopping and we stopped at Gucci, and I was like, oh, let's go in here.
- 24:43SPEAKER_03: You know, I'm thinking I'm gonna be like cool or whatever.
- 24:46SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 24:47SPEAKER_03: And um go in there.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: I saw no part of you was like, this is gonna be a fucking absurd amount of money.
- 24:53SPEAKER_03: No part of you was like, I had enough, I got I had enough left over from that show that I wasn't thinking about.
- 25:00SPEAKER_03: And so I was simple.
- 25:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 25:03SPEAKER_03: And I was like, all right, let's go in here.
- 25:05SPEAKER_03: And uh I found these uh these pink Gucci, they're really tennis shoes.
- 25:12SPEAKER_03: Uh pink Gucci tennis shoes, and her favorite color was pink.
- 25:15SPEAKER_03: And I was like, what do you think about these?
- 25:16SPEAKER_03: And she was like, Oh, they're so cute.
- 25:18SPEAKER_03: She was not expecting me to get these.
- 25:20SPEAKER_03: I'm sure.
- 25:21SPEAKER_03: Like I went in and I was like, oh, I'm gonna like go look for like loafers or something like that.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: Sunglasses, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 25:26SPEAKER_01: Something to make you look cool.
- 25:27SPEAKER_03: You know, and that's why I'm in law school.
- 25:29SPEAKER_03: I'm like, oh, I need some loafers and whatever.
- 25:31SPEAKER_01: Anyway, you need you know what you need is driving shoes.
- 25:34SPEAKER_03: I needed driving shoes.
- 25:35SPEAKER_03: I did.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't know.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: A lawyer doesn't have good driving shoes.
- 25:38SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 25:39SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 25:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 25:40SPEAKER_03: Um, but anyway, I was like, well So you bought them for her.
- 25:42SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I bought it for her, and you know, oh my gosh, Christian, you're so nice.
- 25:45SPEAKER_03: You're the greatest guy ever.
- 25:46SPEAKER_03: You treat me better than you guys ever treated me before, like all this stuff.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: Um this is good, really good.
- 25:52SPEAKER_03: And so that You're gonna break our hearts.
- 25:55SPEAKER_03: That was in October.
- 25:56SPEAKER_03: I was in October.
- 25:57SPEAKER_03: My birthday is in November, and that year my birthday was on Thanksgiving.
- 26:04SPEAKER_03: And so I had gone home for Thanksgiving, and she was still she was a senior in college, and I was in my first year of law school, and she being on the cheer team, like they went to Tulane that year this is back when SMU was still in the American Conference.
- 26:21SPEAKER_03: And like she sent me photos of her in New Orleans wearing the Gucci shoes and like all that, and it was cute, and I liked it.
- 26:28SPEAKER_03: And um and anyway, the uh so like I'm driving back from Thanksgiving back to Waco to go back to school, and I stopped in Dallas and she was there, and I was like, I want to stop in and see you.
- 26:42SPEAKER_03: And I walk in and she's like, Oh, I got you your birthday present, which was this nutcracker, which I'm not even complaining about because I freaking love nutcrackers.
- 26:51SPEAKER_03: Like I have that's a thing.
- 26:52SPEAKER_03: I have one of my weird things.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: I'm sending you one in Eagles one.
- 26:57SPEAKER_03: You know, I totally am.
- 26:59SPEAKER_03: And I'm gonna expect it to be displayed prominently, and I'm gonna send you a bag of walls.
- 27:05SPEAKER_03: Right above my garbage disposal.
- 27:07SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 27:07SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna literally, I'm gonna FaceTime you and be like, Kristen, where's the nutcracker?
- 27:11SPEAKER_03: Where's the nutcracker?
- 27:12SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 27:13SPEAKER_03: Where the nutcracker is right.
- 27:14SPEAKER_03: Um, but the uh I actually still have this nutcracker she gave me.
- 27:18SPEAKER_03: It's in my kitchen right now.
- 27:19SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 27:20SPEAKER_03: Because it's like a it's like smoking on a grill.
- 27:22SPEAKER_03: And anyway, it's great.
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: That's that is cool for a nutcracker.
- 27:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's actually awesome nutcracker.
- 27:27SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: I didn't know they actually functioned.
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: They were just knickknacks.
- 27:32SPEAKER_03: Uh the um but anyway, and then she was like, Oh yeah, by the way, um, I have no romantic interest in you whatsoever.
- 27:40SPEAKER_03: And I was like, Oh, okay.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: No way, you know, and we hate her.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: Take the Gucci boots.
- 27:50SPEAKER_03: It was really bad because like I was like about to tell her, like, I love you too.
- 27:55SPEAKER_03: Like I was right, I was right there.
- 27:57SPEAKER_03: The love bombing.
- 27:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah, love.
- 27:59SPEAKER_03: But anyway, no, it's okay.
- 28:01SPEAKER_03: It's okay.
- 28:03SPEAKER_01: Like, you look fine.
- 28:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think so.
- 28:05SPEAKER_01: Did you know before this show I am a therapist and a uh life coach?
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: I did know that.
- 28:10SPEAKER_01: I didn't know that.
- 28:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's what I do.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: I fix people.
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: You don't need fixing, you're fine.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: You're totally fine.
- 28:16SPEAKER_03: Well, that's why we have music, right?
- 28:17SPEAKER_03: Isn't it?
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: Absolutely, that's what makes Huntry music so amazing.
- 28:22SPEAKER_03: But anyway, yeah.
- 28:23SPEAKER_03: Um so yeah, that's that's a story of of Gucci Boots.
- 28:27SPEAKER_01: And anyway, I wrote Is that going to be on the album?
- 28:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that'll that song will be out April 10th.
- 28:33SPEAKER_01: It's coming out next month.
- 28:34SPEAKER_03: It's coming out next month.
- 28:35SPEAKER_03: Gucci Boots and Goodbye.
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 28:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's kind of a funny song.
- 28:40SPEAKER_03: It's kind of funny.
- 28:41SPEAKER_03: It's very up.
- 28:42SPEAKER_03: I wrote it with um Neil Perry from the band Perry.
- 28:45SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 28:46SPEAKER_03: So Neil and I got together and wrote that, and actually, I shouldn't say this, but the inception for this song.
- 28:52SPEAKER_03: So after I took the bar, I was in Cancun, Mexico on like a bar trip with um with Derek, and uh and uh Derek was like, You should write a song.
- 29:07SPEAKER_03: You should write a song talking about like the Gucci boots.
- 29:10SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 29:10SPEAKER_03: I was like, that's so funny.
- 29:12SPEAKER_03: That is funny.
- 29:13SPEAKER_03: And so that's kind of where the uh inception, I guess.
- 29:17SPEAKER_03: I I mean I go, you know, that's kind of funny.
- 29:19SPEAKER_03: I mean, you could do something with that.
- 29:20SPEAKER_03: And um anyway, yeah.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think that's amazing.
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: I can't wait.
- 29:25SPEAKER_01: I'm excited to listen to that.
- 29:27SPEAKER_01: I know, first of all, that we're we're definitely gonna listen for sure.
- 29:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm I'm excited for people to hear it.
- 29:33SPEAKER_03: I think it's gonna change.
- 29:34SPEAKER_03: I and I'm using uh a new producer on this new record.
- 29:37SPEAKER_03: Um uh my first two albums were with a guy named Sal Oliveri.
- 29:42SPEAKER_03: Great guy, wonderful producer.
- 29:43SPEAKER_03: Um on this third album, I'm using the producer Mama Jan Smith.
- 29:48SPEAKER_03: Mama Jan, Mama Jan Smith and uh as well as Jesse Owen Aston.
- 29:53SPEAKER_03: They're the two co-producers on it.
- 29:55SPEAKER_03: And Mama Jan is twice Grammy nominated uh producer, worked on Justin Bieber, Usher, Rob Thomas.
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: Are you loving your life?
- 30:06SPEAKER_03: I am enjoying it.
- 30:08SPEAKER_03: I, you know, it's it's been interesting.
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: I mean, I know it's really hard work.
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: I mean I meet a lot of people who are like the grind is real.
- 30:15SPEAKER_01: I get it.
- 30:16SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think you know, I get a little annoyed sometimes when like my friends will call me up and they'll be like, Oh, you know, and I I have uh my friends will call me up and be like, oh, you're like the unemployed friend.
- 30:30SPEAKER_03: And and I go, Well, that's okay.
- 30:32SPEAKER_03: I go, I don't think that's really fair because I don't think you see everything that goes into it.
- 30:38SPEAKER_01: They're the hardest, you guys are by far the hardest working people I have ever met.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: This is your life.
- 30:44SPEAKER_01: There's no plan B.
- 30:46SPEAKER_01: Well, you could have a plan B.
- 30:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but I don't want it to be a lot of people.
- 30:49SPEAKER_03: You don't want it, right?
- 30:50SPEAKER_01: And when you're when you play all in, it's a lot of work.
- 30:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and working for yourself, which is essentially, you know, I'm an entrepreneur, you guys are entrepreneurs, and and when you work for yourself, it's a hustle.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I decided not to go back to college, and I remember my dad told me he was like, If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and so yeah, here we go.
- 31:10SPEAKER_01: And it fills your cup, right?
- 31:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: I I just think it's so true.
- 31:14SPEAKER_01: Like people think, you know, somebody referred to my show last year, and we're not gonna bring up any names as my little podcast.
- 31:20SPEAKER_03: Your little podcast.
- 31:22SPEAKER_01: My little podcast.
- 31:22SPEAKER_01: I'm like, my big tour bus is gonna run you over.
- 31:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I don't have a tour bus.
- 31:27SPEAKER_01: I want one.
- 31:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I want a black one with the logo that'd be cool on the side.
- 31:33SPEAKER_03: Well, I think everybody's a nobody until you're a somebody.
- 31:36SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 31:38SPEAKER_01: But I also believe in, you know, like you could have had a brilliant career in law and you chose to do music.
- 31:44SPEAKER_03: Multiple big law offers.
- 31:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, follow your dreams and dream big.
- 31:48SPEAKER_01: It is, I think so too.
- 31:49SPEAKER_01: I think like this whole show started on people who were willing to take chances and step into life.
- 31:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like I love the stories of, and we just happen to fall into country music, thank God, because now it's like I I I could not be more honored to be sitting amongst both of you.
- 32:04SPEAKER_01: It's such a great thing.
- 32:06SPEAKER_01: It's such an it's a wonderful.
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: I love to cheer you guys on.
- 32:09SPEAKER_01: I love to watch you grow.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: You'll be back.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: Nobody ever comes on the show once.
- 32:13SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 32:13SPEAKER_03: Ever.
- 32:15SPEAKER_01: I'm already back.
- 32:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Madison's already back.
- 32:16SPEAKER_03: I was about to say you're on like December, right?
- 32:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that was alright, December.
- 32:19SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 32:20SPEAKER_01: She's already back.
- 32:21SPEAKER_01: I do.
- 32:21SPEAKER_01: You'll come back.
- 32:22SPEAKER_01: Love Yes Host.
- 32:23SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 32:23SPEAKER_01: You'll be a riot.
- 32:24SPEAKER_01: We'll have a lot of fun to get.
- 32:25SPEAKER_03: See, my thing is I would just throw just like incendiary questions and just to see, just to throw people off.
- 32:31SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 32:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 32:32SPEAKER_03: You're that dude?
- 32:33SPEAKER_03: I would be a little provocate.
- 32:34SPEAKER_03: I am telling you, I missed my calling.
- 32:37SPEAKER_03: I was born a little too late.
- 32:38SPEAKER_03: I would have been such a good 90s shock jock.
- 32:43SPEAKER_03: I would have been so good at like a morning power hour radio show.
- 32:50SPEAKER_03: You have the voice for it.
- 32:52SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh.
- 32:53SPEAKER_03: I so I wanted to be, okay, my dream job, frankly, even though I was not doing this.
- 32:58SPEAKER_03: My dream job, I wanted to be a late-night talk show host.
- 33:02SPEAKER_03: I could see that.
- 33:03SPEAKER_03: I wanted to be a late-night talk show host so bad.
- 33:06SPEAKER_03: I would stay up and watch David Letterman.
- 33:11SPEAKER_01: I love David Letterman.
- 33:12SPEAKER_03: Yes, I love David Letterman too.
- 33:14SPEAKER_03: And the, you know, I think obviously Johnny Carson's still the best.
- 33:17SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 33:18SPEAKER_03: Um, then I like Letterman and I like Conan.
- 33:20SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 33:20SPEAKER_03: Those are kind of my top three in that order, in that order.
- 33:23SPEAKER_03: But like imagine like a little third grade version of Christian Parker sitting there and I had a TV in my room.
- 33:30SPEAKER_03: And my parents would put me to bed.
- 33:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah, my parents would put me to bed.
- 33:34SPEAKER_03: I'd sit there and and like close the door and like keep the keep the volume on minimum.
- 33:39SPEAKER_03: I would sit there and I'd watch David Letterman.
- 33:41SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 33:41SPEAKER_03: And I I wanted that job so badly.
- 33:44SPEAKER_03: But I, you know, obviously I think that that format's kind of dying.
- 33:48SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 33:48SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 33:49SPEAKER_03: They're all doing podcasts now, anyway.
- 33:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like Conan!
- 33:52SPEAKER_01: Everyone's doing a podcast.
- 33:54SPEAKER_01: Having a podcast is amazing.
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: It really is.
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: You get to meet the one, the coolest people, right?
- 33:59SPEAKER_01: And then, you know, beer companies drop off beer for you.
- 34:02SPEAKER_01: Let me tell you about Freedom Brew.
- 34:04SPEAKER_03: I would love to hear about Freedom Brew.
- 34:05SPEAKER_01: Okay, ready?
- 34:05SPEAKER_01: So the guy that owns this company, his name is Alan.
- 34:09SPEAKER_01: He was a vet.
- 34:10SPEAKER_01: And his wife is a vet.
- 34:12SPEAKER_01: Shout out to them.
- 34:12SPEAKER_01: I cannot give we the reason we're sitting here today is because someone put their life on the line for us to be able to do this.
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: So, you know, we are we near and dear.
- 34:22SPEAKER_01: So we started this beer company.
- 34:24SPEAKER_01: It is amazing.
- 34:26SPEAKER_01: You're willing to cry.
- 34:26SPEAKER_01: If you want one, you can have one.
- 34:27SPEAKER_01: I can send you home with any try it.
- 34:29SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 34:30SPEAKER_01: Um it's great beer.
- 34:31SPEAKER_01: He's giving back, and he's really pushing hard for to help with you know suicide from that.
- 34:38SPEAKER_01: So um, yes, it's delicious.
- 34:41SPEAKER_01: We're super duper proud of him.
- 34:43SPEAKER_01: And um we feel honored to to give this that's giving money back.
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: We really do.
- 34:48SPEAKER_01: It is so important to me in this lifetime that we share whatever we can to give back to people.
- 34:54SPEAKER_01: Sure.
- 34:55SPEAKER_01: You know, like that's and that the Philadelphia Eagles win the next Super Bowl.
- 34:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 34:59SPEAKER_03: That's really I'll sign on to all of that.
- 35:02SPEAKER_01: Except seriously gonna bail you.
- 35:04SPEAKER_03: Except that last little thing at the end there.
- 35:08SPEAKER_01: She's just like, yeah, why not?
- 35:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, sure.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: Why not the Eagles?
- 35:11SPEAKER_01: Why not?
- 35:12SPEAKER_01: All right, tell me what the next five years looks like in your life.
- 35:14SPEAKER_03: Oh Lord, well, that's a great question, Deb.
- 35:16SPEAKER_03: And one I would be more than happy to filibuster.
- 35:19SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, I I I I I truly and honestly don't know.
- 35:23SPEAKER_03: I when I gra I graduated law school last February.
- 35:28SPEAKER_01: Congratulations.
- 35:30SPEAKER_01: It's a huge accomplishment.
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: Congratulations.
- 35:33SPEAKER_03: And and I I said I said, I don't want to be a lawyer, and I'm getting a little bit of traction when it comes to my music, and I've been writing this album for probably the past two and a half years.
- 35:49SPEAKER_03: And that's all real stories.
- 35:51SPEAKER_01: Well, while you were going to law school, that's the same.
- 35:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, while I was going to law school and I was like we didn't even have time for that chick.
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: What was her name?
- 35:59SPEAKER_01: What was the girl's name?
- 36:00SPEAKER_03: Great.
- 36:00SPEAKER_03: Are we doing a bit here?
- 36:02SPEAKER_03: No, no, no.
- 36:02SPEAKER_03: Caroline.
- 36:03SPEAKER_03: You didn't even have time for Caroline.
- 36:04SPEAKER_01: I was like, oh, Woods.
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: You didn't have time for her.
- 36:07SPEAKER_03: The um, but the uh I thought it was gonna be a little bit.
- 36:09SPEAKER_01: Caroline's gonna watch a show and be like, I collectively hate the three of them.
- 36:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, and that's that's fair.
- 36:13SPEAKER_03: That's okay.
- 36:15SPEAKER_03: She's actually like a very, you know.
- 36:17SPEAKER_03: It please everybody.
- 36:18SPEAKER_03: I have nothing against her.
- 36:19SPEAKER_03: I I enjoyed seeing her in at the wedding.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: I don't have a bad religion.
- 36:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you know, I would have never gone out with him to begin with, you know.
- 36:33SPEAKER_01: She's probably married to a CPA.
- 36:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: About five seven.
- 36:36SPEAKER_03: No, who knows?
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: No hair on the top.
- 36:38SPEAKER_01: Who knows?
- 36:38SPEAKER_03: Who knows?
- 36:39SPEAKER_03: Who knows?
- 36:39SPEAKER_03: I'm sure six, five lawyers drop out of the out of the uh out of the sky.
- 36:44SPEAKER_00: Right exactly.
- 36:45SPEAKER_03: Excuse me.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: Her loss, her loss.
- 36:47SPEAKER_03: Country singers or whatever, you know.
- 36:49SPEAKER_03: You know, it's okay.
- 36:50SPEAKER_03: You do what you do.
- 36:51SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 36:51SPEAKER_03: You do what you do.
- 36:52SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: The um whatever you gotta do to get through the day.
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: That's I don't even know.
- 36:56SPEAKER_03: Oh, what was the question?
- 36:57SPEAKER_03: The five-year plan.
- 36:58SPEAKER_03: I don't know what the five-year plan is.
- 36:59SPEAKER_03: I think the five-year plan currently is that I want to get this album out.
- 37:04SPEAKER_03: I want to promote the absolute heck out of it.
- 37:06SPEAKER_01: Can we come to the release party?
- 37:08SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 37:08SPEAKER_03: I want to have like a showcase where I play through the album live and uh and like have a band and do all it'll be a 10-track album and so about an hour's worth of music and play the hour set.
- 37:19SPEAKER_01: We're in.
- 37:20SPEAKER_01: We'll do that.
- 37:21SPEAKER_01: And I think that'd be sometime in September.
- 37:22SPEAKER_01: You're in, Mitch's coming.
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: Mitch is coming.
- 37:24SPEAKER_01: I want Mitch there.
- 37:25SPEAKER_01: You totally want Mitch there.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: I'll make Mitch go.
- 37:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:29SPEAKER_03: Like, I just do it for Deb because she'll call me every 30 seconds if I but uh you know, I'd love to get like tour support around it and take it on here.
- 37:39SPEAKER_01: I totally see.
- 37:40SPEAKER_03: I moved to Nashville to like play live shows and do that because that's where it's at.
- 37:46SPEAKER_03: I don't do any sort of drugs or anything like that.
- 37:49SPEAKER_03: I've never have, I've never even smoked weed or anything like that.
- 37:52SPEAKER_02: I'm proud of you.
- 37:53SPEAKER_03: And I but I I tell people, I go, I imagine the feeling I get when I play live has gotta be what it feels like to do drugs.
- 38:02SPEAKER_03: You know, right?
- 38:02SPEAKER_03: Like that euphoria.
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: You can get it without drugs, God bless America.
- 38:07SPEAKER_03: That euphoric feeling that is just amazing.
- 38:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's beautiful.
- 38:12SPEAKER_03: And I think you have moments in your life when you're doing things where they finally connect and you're like, oh yeah, that's what I'm supposed to be doing.
- 38:19SPEAKER_01: Yep, it clicks.
- 38:21SPEAKER_01: It finally clicks.
- 38:22SPEAKER_03: And for me, that's when I get to play live with a band.
- 38:25SPEAKER_01: That's great.
- 38:25SPEAKER_01: Um, do you have your own band or do you play with other bands if you're you know, I I have my own band.
- 38:30SPEAKER_01: Do you?
- 38:31SPEAKER_01: That's great.
- 38:32SPEAKER_01: Dude, he's doing it right.
- 38:33SPEAKER_01: He's not messing around, right?
- 38:39SPEAKER_01: Where's your favorite place to play?
- 38:41SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 38:42SPEAKER_03: That's a great question.
- 38:43SPEAKER_03: And I don't want to alienate any of the people.
- 38:46SPEAKER_03: You know, I don't want to alienate any of the venues.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: They're all fabulous.
- 38:49SPEAKER_01: All the venues, they're all great.
- 38:51SPEAKER_03: Can we just say uh uh all places are great, but the crowd is what really makes it?
- 38:56SPEAKER_01: Amen.
- 38:56SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 38:59SPEAKER_01: Politically correct answer from an attorney.
- 39:01SPEAKER_03: Hey, I was gonna be a politician.
- 39:03SPEAKER_03: I was I was gonna be I grew up thinking I was gonna be a politician.
- 39:06SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 39:07SPEAKER_03: And then I went and I worked for Congress and I was like, uh no.
- 39:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no.
- 39:10SPEAKER_03: There is no faster way to become disillusioned with the system than working inside the belly of the government.
- 39:17SPEAKER_01: I can't even watch the news, it makes me much.
- 39:19SPEAKER_01: I've been watching Scandal.
- 39:21SPEAKER_03: On Scandal?
- 39:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 39:22SPEAKER_03: What's Scandal?
- 39:23SPEAKER_01: The show Scandal?
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: Like Olivia Pope.
- 39:25SPEAKER_01: She like works at the White House.
- 39:26SPEAKER_01: I never saw it.
- 39:27SPEAKER_01: You would love it.
- 39:28SPEAKER_01: I would love it.
- 39:29SPEAKER_01: You would love it.
- 39:29SPEAKER_01: She's so awesome.
- 39:30SPEAKER_01: I'll binge that at some point.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: You would love it.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 39:33SPEAKER_01: Like in my free time that I have.
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: You would love it too.
- 39:35SPEAKER_01: It's like they have their own little like law firm thing, but it's like scandal under the belt, and it's not like not as big a scandal with Caroline.
- 39:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 39:45SPEAKER_03: What's funny is that's only that's only one song.
- 39:47SPEAKER_03: That's only one song on the album.
- 39:49SPEAKER_03: I got way more.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: I'm so excited to talk to come out.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: You're like a delight to have around.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: You really are.
- 39:56SPEAKER_00: You're a delight to have around.
- 39:58SPEAKER_01: Your music is killing it.
- 39:59SPEAKER_01: I'm so super proud of you.
- 40:01SPEAKER_01: Thank you, man.
- 40:02SPEAKER_01: And you're working with Clarissa, who I just think the the world of.
- 40:04SPEAKER_03: She's great.
- 40:05SPEAKER_01: She'll take very good care of you.
- 40:07SPEAKER_01: Like when you start to know, get to know the artist, and you start to know who's managing them stuff.
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: You really, there's some managers that you're like, they're totally solid people.
- 40:16SPEAKER_01: We love them, you know.
- 40:17SPEAKER_01: So, and she's good.
- 40:18SPEAKER_01: And she's the baby's adorable.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: I said that.
- 40:21SPEAKER_01: She's a cutie.
- 40:22SPEAKER_01: So will you come back?
- 40:23SPEAKER_03: Well, if you'll have me.
- 40:24SPEAKER_01: I'll totally.
- 40:26SPEAKER_01: You know, I wouldn't want to be an imposition, ma'am.
- 40:29SPEAKER_01: We would love, no one has ever told me no, that they won't come back.
- 40:34SPEAKER_03: Well, you know why?
- 40:36SPEAKER_01: No, why?
- 40:36SPEAKER_01: My turn.
- 40:37SPEAKER_03: You know, I was being really kind up until, you know, and I would have loved to, up until the fact, you know, this turned into a Philadelphia Eagles propaganda show.
- 40:46SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 40:46SPEAKER_03: And at that point, you know, out of respect for the Cowboys.
- 40:50SPEAKER_01: Well, you know, there is a reason why people don't like Philadelphia fans, but that that is the saying.
- 40:55SPEAKER_01: No one likes us, we don't care.
- 40:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, just don't even care.
- 40:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 40:58SPEAKER_01: I really desperately, I have to tell you this, I miss football so much.
- 41:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's coming out.
- 41:04SPEAKER_01: Like I'm looking forward to the draft, and which is in Pittsburgh this year, but I that's my week.
- 41:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's my weekend.
- 41:11SPEAKER_01: Mitch's team went way further than mine, but who's Mitch's team?
- 41:15SPEAKER_03: Uh the Rams.
- 41:17SPEAKER_03: Rams.
- 41:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we're pulling for Mitch and our buddies, so I was pulling for him because I wanted his team.
- 41:22SPEAKER_01: I wanted some team to win.
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: I actually jumped on the Texans for a little bit thinking they would do better.
- 41:27SPEAKER_01: I was desperate.
- 41:29SPEAKER_01: I was when we got killed.
- 41:30SPEAKER_03: What are we doing, Debs?
- 41:31SPEAKER_01: I know, I know.
- 41:32SPEAKER_01: What are we doing?
- 41:32SPEAKER_01: We have to have principles.
- 41:34SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 41:34SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 41:35SPEAKER_03: As a life coach, you know, you gotta have your grounding principles.
- 41:38SPEAKER_03: You gotta have these things.
- 41:40SPEAKER_01: But I was so wanted just the season to stretch out longer.
- 41:43SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 41:44SPEAKER_01: You know, I was like, what am I gonna do?
- 41:46SPEAKER_01: Like we watch all we watch college all day Saturday, Sunday, Funday.
- 41:50SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I felt like that part of my life was gonna be so missing.
- 41:54SPEAKER_01: And guess what?
- 41:55SPEAKER_01: I was right.
- 41:57SPEAKER_01: You have it to look forward to.
- 41:58SPEAKER_01: Now I got things like lawn work, like shit that you don't want when you can just watch.
- 42:02SPEAKER_01: I think football is the best excuse just to drink beer.
- 42:05SPEAKER_03: Correct.
- 42:05SPEAKER_03: That's great.
- 42:06SPEAKER_03: As though you need an excuse.
- 42:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh, right.
- 42:08SPEAKER_01: You don't need your excuse.
- 42:09SPEAKER_01: If you're over 21, you're allowed.
- 42:10SPEAKER_01: You're allowed to drink beer.
- 42:12SPEAKER_03: I'm a little upset because I heard somebody tell me you're not an alcoholic, you're a grad student, you know, and I'm a little upset now because I don't get that excuse.
- 42:19SPEAKER_03: But now I just say I'm a country music singer.
- 42:21SPEAKER_01: You're a country music, right?
- 42:22SPEAKER_01: And cold beer is in almost every damn country.
- 42:25SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 42:25SPEAKER_01: I mean, if you don't write a song about cold beer, you should be.
- 42:28SPEAKER_03: Cold beer's like Freedom Brew.
- 42:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there you go.
- 42:32SPEAKER_01: Alan, my Alan's like back there doing like it is really delicious beer, and I am really proud of him.
- 42:38SPEAKER_01: And I think the message is amazing because as a whole, and I too believe this, and I'm including you, my new Cowboys friend, we are better together and taking supporting each other than we are torn apart.
- 42:50SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 42:50SPEAKER_01: And this man is a patriot, and he's just a cool dude.
- 42:54SPEAKER_01: And I swear, now it's like my it's he cracks up my.
- 42:56SPEAKER_01: I'm talking to him on the phone the other day, and my husband's like, Is that your that's your beer husband?
- 43:00SPEAKER_02: The beer husband.
- 43:02SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 43:02SPEAKER_01: He's like, Is that your beer husband?
- 43:04SPEAKER_01: Like, but it is really good beer.
- 43:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it is.
- 43:06SPEAKER_01: So you'll come back and chill out with us and have a lot of people.
- 43:09SPEAKER_03: I would deeply consider it.
- 43:10unknown: All right.
- 43:11SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry, so I'm sorry, what did you say?
- 43:14SPEAKER_01: No, I'm good.
- 43:15SPEAKER_01: Because we would love to have you back.
- 43:17SPEAKER_01: I think you're an amazing guest.
- 43:19SPEAKER_01: I think this album is going to blow people's minds.
- 43:23SPEAKER_01: Because if you put an ounce of the energy that you've showed here into that album, you're gonna be solid cool.
- 43:29SPEAKER_03: Oh, I appreciate that, ma'am.
- 43:30SPEAKER_01: It was really amazing to have you.

- 43:58SPEAKER_03: That's life.
- 43:58SPEAKER_01: I hope you see.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: No hierarchies.
- 44:01SPEAKER_03: Hierarchies.
- 44:01SPEAKER_03: They're naturally occurring.
- 44:02SPEAKER_01: I mean, without any question, best marketing geniuses.
- 44:06SPEAKER_03: And once the Eagles get as many, you know, Super Bowls as the Cowboys, then you know, maybe you can ascend the mountain.
- 44:12SPEAKER_01: What I say that kind of thing.
- 44:14SPEAKER_03: You know, I I don't really know.
- 44:16SPEAKER_01: Women only remember the best in the last.
