- 3:55Speaker 3: Fill him with the venom and eliminate him. Other words,
- 3:57Speaker 3: I'm in him. Made him mad. I want to hurt him,

- 3:59Speaker 12: Nobody will evade him.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Feel like killing him and dumping the fucking bodies in

- 4:03Speaker 6: Hit him. Make anybody who want him with the pen
- 4:04Speaker 6: and frame him. Don't nobody want it, but they're going
- 4:05Speaker 6: to get it anyway. I'm beginning to feel like I'm
- 4:06Speaker 6: mentally ill.
- 4:06Speaker 4: I'm a telekiller.
- 4:07Speaker 12: Be killed.
- 4:07Speaker 4: I'm a killer.
- 4:07Speaker 12: Be the killer.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Out of me you don't want to be the enemy
- 4:10Speaker 3: of the demon who entered me i'll be under receiving

- 4:16Speaker 3: minute you run into me a hundred percent of you
- 4:17Speaker 3: is a fifth of a percent of me i'm about
- 4:18Speaker 3: to fucking finish you bitch i'm available you want to

- 4:27Speaker 8: I'm Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday,
- 5:01Speaker 8: happy birthday. Happy birthday to you.
- 5:13Speaker 12: What's up everybody and welcome to the Robbie G podcast.
- 5:17Speaker 12: That's right. We are here on another week, and man,
- 5:22Speaker 12: I'm telling you, it was a disappointment for a sports
- 5:25Speaker 12: week for Chicago. We're going to be talking about that,
- 5:28Speaker 12: but first, let's do celebrity birthdays. If Thursday to Sunday
- 5:33Speaker 12: is your birthday, happy birthday, and here's celebrities who share
- 5:37Speaker 12: that day with you. Thursday, October 15th, Keisha Cole turns 45.

- 5:49Speaker 12: turns 56. And Chef Extraordinaire Emeril Lagrassi turns 67 years old. Friday,
- 5:58Speaker 12: October 16th, John Mayer turns 49. Tim Robbins, 68. Flea
- 6:04Speaker 12: from the Red Hot Chili Peppers turns 64. Bob Weir

- 6:19Speaker 12: October 17th, the man that we just heard, Eminem, hits
- 6:22Speaker 12: 54 years old. Country star Alan Jackson turns 68. We're
- 6:29Speaker 12: going to hear a song of his coming up at
- 6:31Speaker 12: the halftime. And then we got Wyclef Jean turning 57.
- 6:37Speaker 12: Mike Judge, who created Beavis and Butthead, turns 64. And
- 6:40Speaker 12: Felicity Jones turns 43. Also, on Sunday, October 18th, Zac

- 6:57Speaker 12: Frida Pinto, don't even know who that is, but a
- 7:01Speaker 12: lot of people do. She came up as top five.
- 7:03Speaker 12: She turns 42. And amazing skier, Lindsey Vaughn. She's one
- 7:09Speaker 12: of my crushes. She turns 42 also. So happy birthday
- 7:14Speaker 12: to all the celebrities out there this weekend having a birthday.
- 7:17Speaker 12: And of course, happy birthday to all of you out
- 7:20Speaker 12: there as well. We got a good show for you.
- 7:22Speaker 12: We're going to talk NCAA and NFL. We're also going
- 7:26Speaker 12: to talk baseball playoffs and who is still in right
- 7:29Speaker 12: now at this point. And I record Tuesday night, so
- 7:34Speaker 12: it's just of what is going on as of right now. Also,
- 7:39Speaker 12: We got a little Blackhawks news I'm excited about. And
- 7:41Speaker 12: then we're going to do Box Office. I still haven't
- 7:45Speaker 12: come up with, oh, I am going to talk about
- 7:47Speaker 12: the Chicago Fire premiere from last week. So if for
- 7:50Speaker 12: some reason you as a fan did not see Chicago
- 7:53Speaker 12: Fire yet, you're going to have to skip through that
- 7:56Speaker 12: little section because I'm going to talk about the episode. Alright,
- 8:00Speaker 12: let's get into it and start out with some NCAA. Oh,
- 8:03Speaker 12: one more thing too we're going to talk about is
- 8:05Speaker 12: we are also going to talk about WWE Money in
- 8:08Speaker 12: the Bank. That is over, so we got the results
- 8:11Speaker 12: for that too. Let's kick it off with a little
- 8:14Speaker 12: NCAA action. So before we talk NCAA, I just wanted
- 8:21Speaker 12: to take a moment because Obviously, this show is recorded Tuesday,
- 8:28Speaker 12: released on Thursday. So at that point, Mike Ditka was
- 8:33Speaker 12: still alive. We found out Friday, October 9th, that Mike
- 8:38Speaker 12: Ditka had passed away at the age of 86. Growing
- 8:42Speaker 12: up as a Chicago Bears fan my entire life, I
- 8:45Speaker 12: was born in 1980. So I was like five years old,
- 8:47Speaker 12: six years old, when the Bears were in the 1985 season.
- 8:58Speaker 12: Of course, I was turning five. Actually, you know what?
- 9:02Speaker 12: I was just turning five in October of that year.
- 9:05Speaker 12: So I was four and five during 85 going into 86.
- 9:10Speaker 12: So being five years old, I know I was there
- 9:15Speaker 12: when they won it. I was not at the game, obviously.
- 9:18Speaker 12: I was with my parents and watching the game on
- 9:20Speaker 12: TV and cheering along with my parents, probably had no
- 9:25Speaker 12: clue what was going on. But, you know, obviously Mike
- 9:30Speaker 12: Ditka was always a big part of my life growing
- 9:34Speaker 12: up as a Bears fan from, you know, 1982 when
- 9:37Speaker 12: I was not even two years old yet. And then,
- 9:41Speaker 12: of course, 85, 86 when they won it. And then
- 9:44Speaker 12: he got fired in 92. So, I mean, technically I
- 9:48Speaker 12: was like 11. So at that point I knew Bears
- 9:51Speaker 12: football very well because I had been watching it since
- 9:55Speaker 12: pretty much the day I was born. By that point,
- 9:58Speaker 12: you know, I was already like, turning 11. So I
- 10:01Speaker 12: knew what was going on. I watched the Bears every
- 10:05Speaker 12: single year with my dad growing up. I mean, we
- 10:07Speaker 12: watched every game. Like we didn't miss a game on
- 10:10Speaker 12: Sunday and Monday night football. Back then there was no
- 10:13Speaker 12: Thursday nights. There was no Christmas Day games unless Christmas
- 10:18Speaker 12: fell on a Sunday. You know, they didn't do the
- 10:21Speaker 12: specialty stuff like they do now. So, you know, growing up,
- 10:26Speaker 12: you had football on Sunday and Monday. You had Sunday
- 10:29Speaker 12: night or Sunday football, and you had a Monday night
- 10:32Speaker 12: football game. And that was it. It's all you really had.
- 10:34Speaker 12: So I grew up watching Mike Ditka, and he was
- 10:39Speaker 12: by far, besides right now, well, I do got a
- 10:44Speaker 12: few little quips with Ben Johnson right now, but I
- 10:46Speaker 12: had a few quips at that time with Mike Ditka too.
- 10:50Speaker 12: But I mean, as of right now, nobody takes the
- 10:55Speaker 12: reins of the Bears like Mike Ditka did. Now, Ben
- 10:59Speaker 12: Johnson is a very close, almost high for that from
- 11:03Speaker 12: what he's done. And we'll go into, you know, the
- 11:06Speaker 12: Bears season so far. We're five games in already, but
- 11:09Speaker 12: we're going to go through that. after the college stuff, but,
- 11:14Speaker 12: you know, Mike Ditka to me was very special. Like,
- 11:17Speaker 12: he was that coach that just dominated. He was that
- 11:21Speaker 12: coach that, you know, put fear in players. Now, Jim
- 11:26Speaker 12: McMahon was probably the only one that didn't fear him.
- 11:30Speaker 12: Jim McMahon kind of just did what he wanted to do, okay?
- 11:33Speaker 12: I mean, I remember the stories that they used to
- 11:35Speaker 12: tell about how Jim McMahon used to, you know, call
- 11:40Speaker 12: audibles on almost every play And he would piss off
- 11:44Speaker 12: Mike Ditka. And Ditka would yell at him and scream
- 11:47Speaker 12: in his face when he got on the sideline. He's like,
- 11:49Speaker 12: did we get yards? Did we score? That's all that matters.
- 11:53Speaker 12: And Mike Ditka was mad, but it was true. You know,
- 11:56Speaker 12: Jim McMahon was right. He scored. So calling the audibles
- 11:59Speaker 12: might not have been bad. But nobody to this day
- 12:05Speaker 12: has struck fear in a team like Mike Ditka did. Okay? Like,
- 12:10Speaker 12: the teams feared him. I don't see that in any
- 12:14Speaker 12: other sport. I don't see any coaches currently or even
- 12:19Speaker 12: right after him where teams feared that coach. They knew
- 12:25Speaker 12: they had Ditka. They knew it was a 15-1 Chicago
- 12:29Speaker 12: Bears team that won the Super Bowl 46-10 over the
- 12:34Speaker 12: Patriots and creamed them. But we lost probably an amazing...
- 12:43Speaker 12: So I heard stories about how he would write checks
- 12:46Speaker 12: for people that needed it. He would help out the police.
- 12:51Speaker 12: He would help out funds for things. He would just
- 12:54Speaker 12: do all that kind of stuff. He was there for children,
- 12:57Speaker 12: all that kind of thing. I'm not going to go
- 12:58Speaker 12: into his politics and who he supported because to me,
- 13:02Speaker 12: with Coach Ditka, with the coach, none of that matters.
- 13:06Speaker 12: In fact, with me, it doesn't really matter either. who
- 13:09Speaker 12: you vote for in general, unless you make that your
- 13:13Speaker 12: whole identity. When you make something your identity, that's when
- 13:17Speaker 12: I sit there and have an issue. But with him,
- 13:20Speaker 12: I never felt like he did that. In fact, I
- 13:24Speaker 12: very rarely knew who he was politically. I mean, you
- 13:28Speaker 12: could almost tell who he would be politically, and that's okay.
- 13:31Speaker 12: He is who he is, and he's never going to
- 13:33Speaker 12: change that. But as a coach in the league, I'll
- 13:39Speaker 12: tell you now, as a coach in the league, he's amazing.
- 13:45Speaker 12: And he will always be a huge part of winning
- 13:50Speaker 12: a championship with the Bears as a player and then
- 13:53Speaker 12: winning the Super Bowl as a coach. In fact, in
- 13:56Speaker 12: the Super Bowl era, that is the only Super Bowl
- 14:00Speaker 12: the Bears have, is with Mike Ditka. So until Ben
- 14:03Speaker 12: Johnson or somebody else reaches that pinnacle and wins it,
- 14:09Speaker 12: There's never going to be another Ditka for a while
- 14:11Speaker 12: until that happens. And then maybe we can talk about
- 14:13Speaker 12: it then. But rest in peace, coach. You know, we
- 14:17Speaker 12: love you and we already miss you. And I'm going
- 14:21Speaker 12: to miss hearing his football takes on different things. He's
- 14:24Speaker 12: been on podcasts, TV shows, you know, Fox NFL stuff.
- 14:29Speaker 12: And I'm going to miss hearing him talk about things
- 14:32Speaker 12: like that. In fact, the day before he passed away,
- 14:35Speaker 12: I heard him in a commercial saying, that he does on,
- 14:38Speaker 12: I believe it's a score, and it was like, oh,
- 14:44Speaker 12: the coach, it was pretty cool hearing about that commercial,
- 14:47Speaker 12: and then the next day is when we got the
- 14:50Speaker 12: breaking news, when we turned on, me and my wife
- 14:53Speaker 12: were working, we were doing some stuff, and we were driving,
- 14:58Speaker 12: and we heard the breaking news from Layla Romini and
- 15:03Speaker 12: Mark Rohde, It was actually Jared Payton who broke the
- 15:07Speaker 12: news on the score, but I didn't hear it because
- 15:09Speaker 12: we weren't listening at the time. So we didn't hear
- 15:12Speaker 12: until we got in to that station and turned it
- 15:15Speaker 12: on that Coach passed away. So rest in peace, Mike. Coach,
- 15:20Speaker 12: you are always going to be one of a kind.
- 15:22Speaker 12: We're going to love you, and we definitely miss you.
- 15:25Speaker 12: Let's give a moment of silence for Coach Niko. All right,
- 15:35Speaker 12: let's move on to some NCAA action. I'm going to
- 15:38Speaker 12: go over the AP Top 25 going into this week. Northwestern,
- 15:45Speaker 12: who won again, their second victory in their new home.
- 15:48Speaker 12: My friend, if you go to Northwestern game, make sure
- 15:54Speaker 12: you get Nell's Beef. My friend Anthony's family owns it,
- 15:58Speaker 12: and it is the most amazing beef. I don't care
- 16:00Speaker 12: about Bona. I don't care about Portillo's. I don't care
- 16:04Speaker 12: about any of that. Nothing is better than an Al's Beef.
- 16:08Speaker 12: So make sure if you go to the Northwestern games,
- 16:10Speaker 12: you try it. Because they are featured at the game
- 16:13Speaker 12: as their only Italian beef in the game. So that's amazing.
- 16:18Speaker 12: Northwestern is now in the top 25 at 4-1. Last
- 16:23Speaker 12: week they were not ranked. At number 24 at 4-1.
- 16:26Speaker 12: At the same as last week. SMU at 4-1. In
- 16:32Speaker 12: the same place at number 23 this week, Boise State
- 16:36Speaker 12: at 5-1. This is a huge drop-off. Last week they
- 16:39Speaker 12: were number 10, this week number 22, LSU who is
- 16:43Speaker 12: now 4-2. Last week not ranked, this week 21st, Wake
- 16:48Speaker 12: Forest at 5-1. So as people can see, a lot
- 16:52Speaker 12: of your non-ranked teams who were either undefeated or have
- 16:57Speaker 12: one loss are now suddenly moving into the top 25.
- 17:01Speaker 12: I like seeing that. Wake Forest is now number 25,
- 17:05Speaker 12: or number 21. At number 20 this week, last week
- 17:09Speaker 12: they were 22. Houston at 5-1. Let's see, number 19.
- 17:16Speaker 12: Last week, same position, the 6-1 USC Trojans. At number
- 17:21Speaker 12: 18 last week and this week, Oklahoma State at 4-1.
- 17:26Speaker 12: Last week they were number 20, this week 17. Iowa
- 17:28Speaker 12: at 5-1. Last week, 17, they moved up a spot
- 17:32Speaker 12: to 16. Mississippi State at 4-1. Last week, they were
- 17:38Speaker 12: not ranked. This week, number 15, Kentucky at 5-1. At
- 17:44Speaker 12: 15 this week, going up one spot to 14 is
- 17:47Speaker 12: Tennessee at 5-1. Going up a spot from 14 to
- 17:51Speaker 12: 13 is Missouri at 5-1. Going from number 21 last
- 17:56Speaker 12: week to number 12 this week, UCLA at 5-0. That's crazy.
- 18:02Speaker 12: Number 12 this week, or last week, now number 11.
- 18:05Speaker 12: Utah at 5-0. Last week they were number 11. Now
- 18:09Speaker 12: they're at number 10. Texas Tech at 5-0. Still at
- 18:13Speaker 12: number 9 two weeks in a row. Mississippi at 4-1.
- 18:17Speaker 12: Last week at number 8. This week at number 8
- 18:19Speaker 12: is BYU at 5-0. Number 1 last week dropped to
- 18:25Speaker 12: number 7 this week. Texas at 4-1. That's a crazy drop-off.
- 18:31Speaker 12: And then number six this week and last week, Alabama
- 18:35Speaker 12: at 5-1. Seven last week. Number five this week, Indiana
- 18:39Speaker 12: at 6-0. Number five last week, now number four, is
- 18:44Speaker 12: Ohio State at 5-1. Number four last week, now number
- 18:48Speaker 12: three is Miami at 5-0. Number three last week is
- 18:54Speaker 12: now number two, Notre Dame at 6-0. And last week's
- 18:57Speaker 12: number two, now number one, is Georgia at 6-0. So
- 19:02Speaker 12: there's your top 25 for this week for the NCAA.
- 19:08Speaker 12: I want to go over the high school standings because
- 19:10Speaker 12: they only got one week, I believe, left before the
- 19:13Speaker 12: playoffs start for the....
- 19:18Speaker 9: Hold on.
- 19:20Speaker 12: I'm looking up something really quick. For the high school games.
- 19:22Speaker 12: High school playoffs start not this week, but next week.
- 19:28Speaker 12: So let's move on now. I got to show everybody
- 19:30Speaker 12: what I did last week for NCAA. I'm disappointed in Michigan,
- 19:36Speaker 12: but thankfully they have the week off this week. They
- 19:39Speaker 12: have a bye week to rest up and maybe do better.
- 19:42Speaker 12: I'm trying to find my ESPN Fantasy app. Here it is.
- 19:47Speaker 12: Let's see. I also have the Blackhawks game on. We'll
- 19:52Speaker 12: talk about that in a little bit too, but here
- 19:54Speaker 12: we go. All right, so let's go to games. I'm
- 19:59Speaker 12: going to have to pick this week's games as I'm
- 20:01Speaker 12: doing the show because I did not have a chance.
- 20:04Speaker 12: So for my NCAA picks, I am 34 and 26
- 20:06Speaker 12: for the year.
- 20:09Speaker 4: Not bad.
- 20:09Speaker 12: Eight games above. 500. So, last week, in week six,
- 20:17Speaker 12: I picked Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Last week, I was 7-3.
- 20:23Speaker 12: Not too bad. Wake Forest Demon Deacons to beat North
- 20:26Speaker 12: Carolina State Wolfpack, and they did 38-14. I picked the
- 20:31Speaker 12: Arizona Wildcats over the West Virginia Mountaineers, and they won 52-31.
- 20:35Speaker 12: I picked... Number 25, Pittsburgh Panthers over the unraised North
- 20:45Speaker 12: Carolina Tar Heels. North Carolina won, 21-17. I picked the
- 20:51Speaker 12: number 14, Missouri Tigers, to beat the Texas A &
- 20:56Speaker 12: M Aggies, and they did, 27-6. I picked the Houston
- 21:01Speaker 12: Cougars to beat the Kansas State Wildcats, and they did, 35-16.
- 21:08Speaker 12: I picked the Texas Longhorns to beat the Oklahoma Suitors,
- 21:12Speaker 12: and they did not. Oklahoma won 27-24. I heard Arch Manning.
- 21:17Speaker 12: I didn't get to see the game. I heard Arch
- 21:19Speaker 12: Manning struggled in that game, and he didn't look too good.
- 21:23Speaker 12: Andy Agar told me that. I picked the North Dakota
- 21:28Speaker 12: State Bison to beat the UNLV Rebels, and they did not.
- 21:32Speaker 12: UNLV won 13-7. I picked the USC Trojans. to defeat
- 21:39Speaker 12: the Penn State Nittany Lions, and they did. They won 31-23.
- 21:45Speaker 12: I picked the Georgia Bulldogs over the Alabama Crimson Tide.
- 21:49Speaker 12: Alabama got their first loss of the year, 20-17. And
- 21:52Speaker 12: then I picked the Boise State Broncos to beat Fresno
- 21:56Speaker 12: State Bulldogs, and they did, 38-31. So let's pick as
- 22:01Speaker 12: we go this week. Let's see what we can do.
- 22:04Speaker 12: All right, we got number four, Ohio State. And number five,
- 22:08Speaker 12: Indiana Hoosiers. I'm taking Indiana, baby. We've got the number six,
- 22:14Speaker 12: Alabama Crimson Tide. And the number 14, Tennessee Volunteers. We're
- 22:19Speaker 12: going Alabama on that one. Roll Tide. Number 13, Missouri Tigers.
- 22:24Speaker 12: And number nine, Ole Miss Rebels. We're going to go
- 22:26Speaker 12: Missouri on that one. We're going to take an upset there.
- 22:30Speaker 12: UNLV Rebels and the Air Force Falcons. We're going to
- 22:33Speaker 12: take UNLV. North Carolina Tar Heels versus the Duke Blue Devils.
- 22:39Speaker 12: I'm going to go with, last week I did not
- 22:42Speaker 12: pick North Carolina, and they won, so let's go for it.
- 22:45Speaker 12: Let's pick them. The Toledo Rockets versus the Eastern Michigan Eagles.
- 22:51Speaker 12: Let's go Toledo. Yeah, we'll go Toledo on that one.
- 22:54Speaker 12: And finally, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish facing off against
- 23:00Speaker 12: the BYU Cougars. Number two Notre Dame versus number eight BYU.
- 23:05Speaker 12: We'll go with Notre Dame. We'll take them back going 7-0.
- 23:08Speaker 12: I don't think BYU is going to be able to
- 23:10Speaker 12: hold up there. So there we go. That is my
- 23:13Speaker 12: picks to click for this week for the 10. So
- 23:16Speaker 12: we'll see where we're at next week. Like I said,
- 23:18Speaker 12: I was 34-26 this year so far. Not too bad.
- 23:22Speaker 12: Eight games above 500. All right. Let's talk really quick about, yeah,
- 23:31Speaker 12: let's do it. I have an old-fashioned newspaper in front
- 23:34Speaker 12: of me. I bought the newspaper because there's a lot
- 23:37Speaker 12: of stories in a newspaper that you can find on
- 23:42Speaker 12: sports and talk about. Like high school, I didn't think
- 23:45Speaker 12: about talking about the high school stuff, but we'll talk
- 23:47Speaker 12: about the high school playoffs coming up next week. But
- 23:51Speaker 12: here we go. The football Super 25 for high schools,
- 23:55Speaker 12: number 25 this week, and they were not ranked last week,
- 23:59Speaker 12: is York at 5-3. Number 24, last week they were
- 24:04Speaker 12: not ranked, is the 7-1 Naperville North. Number 25 last week,
- 24:10Speaker 12: now number 23 this week, Huntley at 8-0 at number 23.
- 24:15Speaker 12: That's insane. At 24 this week, last week they were
- 24:18Speaker 12: number 2. They have Morris. They are 8-0. Number 23
- 24:25Speaker 12: last week, now number 21 this week, Nutrier is at 7-1.
- 24:30Speaker 12: Number 20 last week and this week is KKK at 6-2.
- 24:35Speaker 12: Number 19 last week and this week, Downers Grove North
- 24:38Speaker 12: at 7-1. Number 18 this week and last week at
- 24:43Speaker 12: 6-2 is Providence. Number 17 both weeks again, Montini at 62.
- 24:53Speaker 12: Let's see, number 16 both weeks, St. Rita at 5-3.
- 24:59Speaker 12: Number 15 last week and this week is Sandberg at 6-2.
- 25:04Speaker 12: Number 14, boy, these teams are not moving up and
- 25:06Speaker 12: down much. That's crazy. Number 14 both weeks, St. Ignatius
- 25:13Speaker 12: at 6-2. Number 13 both weeks, number 13 is Prospect
- 25:19Speaker 12: at 8-0. Number 12 last week and this week, Homewood
- 25:25Speaker 12: Flossmoor at 6-2. I got a funny story with that,
- 25:30Speaker 12: so I'm going to talk about that in a second
- 25:31Speaker 12: after this is done. Number 11 both weeks is Batavia
- 25:38Speaker 12: at 6-2. Number 10 both weeks, Geneva at 7-1. Number
- 25:43Speaker 12: 9 both weeks, Oswego at 7-1. Number 8, Maine South.
- 25:51Speaker 12: They were also 8 last week. Boy, none of these
- 25:55Speaker 12: teams have moved. except for a couple unranked that came in.
- 25:59Speaker 12: And then, of course, the couple at the bottom. But, yeah,
- 26:02Speaker 12: other than that, nobody's moved. At number seven, my home,
- 26:06Speaker 12: Bowling Brook. The Raiders are 7-1 at number seven. They
- 26:11Speaker 12: play Minooka on Friday for their final game. Let's see.
- 26:15Speaker 12: Number six, IC Catholic at 7-1. Number five at 8-0
- 26:22Speaker 12: is Hershey. Number four is Mount Carmel at 6-2. Number
- 26:27Speaker 12: three is Brother Rice. Number two is Lincoln Way East
- 26:31Speaker 12: at 8-0. And number one is Loyola at 8-0. So
- 26:36Speaker 12: I have a funny story about Bolingbroke and Homewood-Flossmoor. The
- 26:41Speaker 12: first game of the regular season, we went with my
- 26:45Speaker 12: son and my daughter and my wife and me. We
- 26:48Speaker 12: went to go see Bolingbroke play at home. It was
- 26:52Speaker 12: the first game of the season. We were hyped up,
- 26:54Speaker 12: you know, football-wise. Friday night lights, we were ready to go.
- 26:58Speaker 12: We go watch the game. They get blown out by
- 27:03Speaker 12: Homewood Flossmoor. I haven't been to a game since because,
- 27:07Speaker 12: number one, we don't go to the away games. Number two,
- 27:10Speaker 12: we were always busy on nights. when they were here. Like,
- 27:14Speaker 12: we had our fest in Bolingbrook one of the nights,
- 27:17Speaker 12: and we were going to see a band, so we
- 27:19Speaker 12: didn't get to go see the game. My daughter went
- 27:22Speaker 12: to a couple games during the year, of course, and
- 27:24Speaker 12: we might go to a playoff game if they're playing
- 27:26Speaker 12: any at home, but I did not see them play
- 27:29Speaker 12: any other game this year. They won seven in a
- 27:34Speaker 12: row after that. So, I mean, right now, if they
- 27:38Speaker 12: win this week, that means they will finish the season
- 27:42Speaker 12: 8-1 And the crazy thing is is that we only
- 27:49Speaker 12: saw them play the one game that they lost for
- 27:52Speaker 12: the year. Crazy, crazy, crazy. So go Bowling Brook and
- 27:56Speaker 12: go all these teams. I'm excited for football playoffs for
- 28:01Speaker 12: high school. I'm excited. It's going to be fun. And
- 28:04Speaker 12: we are going to move on now to some NFL news.
- 28:09Speaker 12: We're going to talk about the game. We're going to
- 28:11Speaker 12: talk about the standings right now oh my lord anybody
- 28:17Speaker 12: see that rams game on monday night that was a
- 28:20Speaker 12: crazy ass game i'll tell you that i'm gonna tell
- 28:24Speaker 12: you why i'm not that worried about the chicago bears
- 28:26Speaker 12: but first before we do that let's do what we
- 28:29Speaker 12: always do and let's see where i was right and
- 28:36Speaker 12: wrong and let's pick our teams for the week so
- 28:39Speaker 12: let's go to our nfl pickums and let's talk about
- 28:42Speaker 12: it okay So week five, I didn't do great. I
- 28:47Speaker 12: went 6-8, but I am 49-29 for the season on
- 28:51Speaker 12: my picks. Not too shabby. I'm 20 games above. 500.
- 28:55Speaker 12: Let's hope I pick better this week. All right, so
- 28:58Speaker 12: last week in the first game of the week on
- 29:01Speaker 12: Thursday Night Football, I don't think anybody took Tampa Bay
- 29:07Speaker 12: to beat Dallas. I think that everybody thought that was
- 29:10Speaker 12: a game that Dallas was going to beat them down.
- 29:13Speaker 12: and stuff and it did not happen did not happen
- 29:16Speaker 12: Tampa Bay Buccaneers won 24 to 16 early game in
- 29:21Speaker 12: London God for the people who get up at 8
- 29:24Speaker 12: 30 to watch football on Sunday God bless you because
- 29:27Speaker 12: I will not get up that early unless it's the
- 29:29Speaker 12: Bears playing Philadelphia Eagles two and three that will actually
- 29:35Speaker 12: that should be after this one right so we won't
- 29:38Speaker 12: talk about that so I picked the Philadelphia Eagles to
- 29:41Speaker 12: beat Jacksonville. Jacksonville won 19-17. That was crazy. Cincinnati Bagels,
- 29:47Speaker 12: I picked them on Sunday afternoon to beat the Miami Dolphins,
- 29:51Speaker 12: and they did, 31-24. The Houston Texans, I picked them
- 29:56Speaker 12: to beat Tennessee. I knew Tennessee was not going to
- 29:59Speaker 12: get a win this week. 26-3, first win of the
- 30:02Speaker 12: year for Houston. That was pretty amazing. And then the
- 30:06Speaker 12: Cleveland Browns. I picked them because they were on such
- 30:10Speaker 12: a roll. I didn't think the Jets could beat them.
- 30:14Speaker 12: And they did. The Jets won 17-12. So now the
- 30:18Speaker 12: Browns are at 3-2. Let's see. Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh.
- 30:25Speaker 12: I picked the Steelers to win. They did 34-22. The
- 30:30Speaker 12: New York Giants and the Washington Commanders. I guess I
- 30:39Speaker 12: technically lost because I picked the Giants to win, but
- 30:44Speaker 12: they tied. So it's weird. I guess you don't get
- 30:49Speaker 12: a tie for that. So there you go. Giants tied
- 30:52Speaker 12: with the Commanders at 27 apiece. Weird final sequence. How
- 30:56Speaker 12: do you not know you have a timeout? How do
- 30:59Speaker 12: you not know that? How do you not call a
- 31:02Speaker 12: timeout in that situation? I don't understand what was going
- 31:05Speaker 12: on there. Las Vegas Raiders, I picked over the New
- 31:08Speaker 12: England Patriots as an upset, and they did not win.
- 31:12Speaker 12: Patriots won 45-17. I picked the New Orleans Saints to
- 31:17Speaker 12: beat Minnesota as an upset, and Minnesota won. They're now 5-0.
- 31:21Speaker 12: They won 23-13. Freaking Bears. I choose the Bears over
- 31:27Speaker 12: the Packers. We're going to talk about that game and
- 31:30Speaker 12: my thoughts, but here we go. Pick the Bears over
- 31:33Speaker 12: the Green Bay Packers. Packers win 31-7. It's hard to
- 31:37Speaker 12: even say it now, and we are at Tuesday. It's
- 31:39Speaker 12: three days after the game. Denver Broncos. I pick them
- 31:45Speaker 12: over the Chargers, and they won 23-17. What the hell's
- 31:49Speaker 12: going on with Justin Herbert? Why is he not winning
- 31:52Speaker 12: games at all?
- 31:54Speaker 1: 0-5.
- 31:54Speaker 12: It's horrible. One of the only three teams without a win.
- 31:59Speaker 12: Crazy to think about. Detroit Lions. I chose the Arizona
- 32:03Speaker 12: Cardinals in an upset. The Lions won 45-21. And then,
- 32:09Speaker 12: of course, we had San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks.
- 32:14Speaker 12: That was a hell of a game. I picked the Seahawks,
- 32:17Speaker 12: but San Francisco won, and they are now 5-0. They
- 32:19Speaker 12: won 32-29. Sunday Night Football, I picked the Ravens, and
- 32:27Speaker 12: they won 30-23 over the Atlanta Falcons. That is the
- 32:31Speaker 12: next Bears opponent, too. And then, of course, last night's
- 32:35Speaker 12: Monday Night Verve. Well, you guys are here on this Thursday,
- 32:37Speaker 12: so Monday night's game, the Buffalo Bills, I picked them
- 32:43Speaker 12: to win, and they did, 37-34 in what was a
- 32:47Speaker 12: crazy game in overtime. The Rams have fired their kicker.
- 32:51Speaker 12: They have cut him. because of what he did, missing
- 32:55Speaker 12: two big field goals, including the one that would have
- 32:58Speaker 12: won the game for them in overtime. So crazy. That
- 33:02Speaker 12: is nuts. So, yeah, not too bad. Let's go into
- 33:04Speaker 12: week six. I'm going to do my picks live. So
- 33:07Speaker 12: here we go. Seahawks at the Denver Broncos tonight on
- 33:10Speaker 12: Thursday Night Football. I am going with the Seahawks. I
- 33:14Speaker 12: think the Seahawks win that game. Let's see. We've got
- 33:18Speaker 12: the Houston Texans fresh off their first win. Against the
- 33:21Speaker 12: Jacksonville Jaguars. Well, Houston, you got one. That's it for now.
- 33:27Speaker 12: We've got Jacksonville winning that one. Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons.
- 33:32Speaker 12: We're going to talk about that game in a little bit.
- 33:35Speaker 12: But first, let's just give our pick now. I got
- 33:38Speaker 12: the Bears. I don't care who starts. I think we
- 33:41Speaker 12: can beat the Falcons. We need a redemption game after
- 33:44Speaker 12: that game. Let's see. The Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland. I'm
- 33:48Speaker 12: going to go Baltimore. You just can't. not take Lamar Jackson.
- 33:54Speaker 12: Is there any 830 game? Oh yeah, the Jacksonville Jaguar
- 33:57Speaker 12: game is an 830 game. That's crazy. Let's see. Tennessee
- 34:01Speaker 12: Titans at 0-5 against the 2-3 Colts. I still don't
- 34:05Speaker 12: see Tennessee winning, so we'll take the Colts. Jets and Patriots.
- 34:11Speaker 12: Patriots are going to need this win. They've got the
- 34:14Speaker 12: Bears on Thursday night football. I think they need to
- 34:17Speaker 12: win this game, so we're going to take the New
- 34:19Speaker 12: England Patriots over the Jets. Let's see, New Orleans and
- 34:23Speaker 12: the Giants. Well, Giants can't afford another tie, so let's
- 34:27Speaker 12: go with the Giants. Carolina Panthers and the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 34:32Speaker 12: We got to take the Eagles. Eagles got to step
- 34:34Speaker 12: back because, holy crap, two and three is terrible. We
- 34:39Speaker 12: got Pittsburgh Steelers against Tampa Bay. I got to go
- 34:43Speaker 12: with Aaron Rodgers. He's been playing pretty decent. I think
- 34:47Speaker 12: he wins there. We've got the Rams and Arizona. We're
- 34:52Speaker 12: going to take the Rams. We've got the Chargers and
- 34:54Speaker 12: the Chiefs. Oh, Justin Herbert. He's going to get kicked
- 34:59Speaker 12: in the crotch in that one. Kansas City Chiefs coming
- 35:01Speaker 12: off a bye week are going to win. We've got
- 35:05Speaker 12: Buffalo Bills against the Raiders. We're going to go Buffalo.
- 35:09Speaker 12: My boy Josh Allen is going to run all over
- 35:11Speaker 12: them again. Sunday Night Football. We've got the Dallas Cowboys
- 35:16Speaker 12: going to Lambeau. I hate both teams. I hope it's
- 35:22Speaker 12: a tie. But I'm going to take Dallas. You know what?
- 35:27Speaker 12: I hate Green Bay. I'm just going to take Dallas.
- 35:30Speaker 12: If I get the L, I get the L. Washington
- 35:33Speaker 12: Commanders have won 3-1 on Monday Night Football against the
- 35:37Speaker 12: 5-0 49ers.
- 35:37Speaker 6: Boom.
- 35:37Speaker 12: 49ers go 6-0. FUJ the Daniels. You stink.
- 35:39Speaker 7: All right.
- 35:40Speaker 12: So we'll see. I was 49-29. So we're going to
- 35:42Speaker 12: see what happens. All right. We're going to go into–
- 35:53Speaker 12: we're going to talk Bears and Packers. I don't want to,
- 35:55Speaker 12: but we're going to. All right. Let's do this. I
- 35:59Speaker 12: don't want to, but we're going to. So let's do–
- 36:02Speaker 12: let's start with the team stats. God, this was horrible.
- 36:05Speaker 12: This whole game was just garbage. I wish Caleb– he
- 36:08Speaker 12: was on the field practicing. I was hoping they were
- 36:11Speaker 12: going to put him in, but it didn't happen. Not yet.
- 36:14Speaker 12: We're going to talk about that in a second. But
- 36:16Speaker 12: here we go. Team stats. Packers. Packers. That's what I
- 36:22Speaker 12: think of them. 428 yards, total yards versus the Bears, 246.
- 36:25Speaker 12: We have passing yards, 358 to 165 in favor of
- 36:31Speaker 12: the Packers. Rushing went to the Bears, 81 to 70.
- 36:34Speaker 12: They didn't even need to rush the Packers. They had
- 36:38Speaker 12: 358 yards in the air. 7.3 yards per play for
- 36:41Speaker 12: the Packers, 3.6 for the Bears. First downs, 18 to
- 36:44Speaker 12: 17 in favor of the Packers. Third down conversions, four
- 36:53Speaker 12: for 12. The Bears are four for 14. Uh, Packers
- 36:57Speaker 12: are one for one on fourth. The Bears are two
- 36:59Speaker 12: for five. Total plays makes me sick. The Bears actually
- 37:03Speaker 12: had 68 total plays to 59 or no 50.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:08Speaker 12: 59 for the Packers. That's pretty bad. We had more
- 37:13Speaker 12: total plays and we lost and we got blown out. Um,
- 37:18Speaker 12: Four sacks allowed by the Bears, two for the Packers.
- 37:24Speaker 12: Both teams punted four times. Three penalties for 20 yards
- 37:28Speaker 12: for the Bears, four for 25 for the Packers. Bears
- 37:34Speaker 12: had two fumbles and three interceptions. Packers had zero. Time
- 37:39Speaker 12: of possession, 30 minutes and 24 seconds for the Packers.
- 37:44Speaker 12: 29-36 for us. They also led us in tackles.
- 37:49Speaker 2: 42-38.
- 37:50Speaker 12: Bears were 0-1 at field goals. They were 1-3, so
- 37:53Speaker 12: they missed two also. And then, of course, red zone.
- 37:57Speaker 12: They were 2-3. We were 1-2. Very pathetic. Let's go
- 38:02Speaker 12: into the player stats really quick. We'll start with the Packers.
- 38:05Speaker 12: Jordan Love, 367 yards, 25-31. Two touchdowns, no picks. He
- 38:07Speaker 12: was sacked twice. A rating of 137.5. Uh, Lloyd had
- 38:19Speaker 12: 10 carries for 31 yards and two touchdowns. Uh, Johnson
- 38:25Speaker 12: had seven, uh, rushes for 26 yards. Nobody else had
- 38:29Speaker 12: anything that important. Uh, receiving yards. I'll tell you this.
- 38:35Speaker 12: I picked Christian Watson for my fantasy team. He did
- 38:39Speaker 12: get me some points that day. That was pretty crazy. Uh,
- 38:42Speaker 12: six receptions, 143 yards and two touchdowns. Um, On eight targets,
- 38:49Speaker 12: which is crazy. Matthew Golden had six for 123. Tucker Kraft,
- 38:54Speaker 12: five for 64. And that's it. Nah, we're not going
- 38:58Speaker 12: to go over that. I don't really care about their defense. Okay. Bears.
- 39:05Speaker 12: Three quarters for Tyson Bajan before he got pulled. 12
- 39:08Speaker 12: of 21, 87 yards, zero touchdowns, two interceptions. He was
- 39:13Speaker 12: sacked twice. His rating was 27.4. That's like Trump's IQ.
- 39:20Speaker 12: That's pretty crazy. All right, Case Keenum, one quarter, not
- 39:25Speaker 12: even a full quarter, came in 11 for 19, 108
- 39:27Speaker 12: total yards. in one quarter and one interception. He was
- 39:33Speaker 12: sacked twice. DeAndre Swift ran nine for 43 for a touchdown.
- 39:40Speaker 12: Tyson Bajan ran three for 17. Zavian Thomas won for 11.
- 39:44Speaker 12: Roshan Johnson had five carries for six yards. He has
- 39:48Speaker 12: a Five carries and only six yards. Pretty bad. Receiving,
- 39:55Speaker 12: Luther Burden, four for 47. Roma Dunze, three for 40.
- 40:01Speaker 12: Roshan Johnson, five for 34. DeAndre Swift, four for 30.
- 40:06Speaker 12: Colston Loveland, two for 19. Savion Thomas, one for 11.
- 40:11Speaker 12: And Cole Kmet, one for eight. Kalief Raymond, three catches
- 40:17Speaker 12: for six yards. He averaged like two yards a catch.
- 40:22Speaker 12: And Judd A. Walker had zero on one target. Sacks,
- 40:30Speaker 12: one good thing. Austin Booker, two sacks. He's really stepping
- 40:34Speaker 12: up this year, and I think he could end up
- 40:36Speaker 12: being that second defensive end we need. Maybe we don't
- 40:41Speaker 12: necessarily need another one. Maybe we're good. We just need
- 40:45Speaker 12: to learn to use the pass rush. And I think,
- 40:48Speaker 12: and here... So, here's what I noticed in this whole
- 40:52Speaker 12: Packer game. I mean, Jordan Love just did whatever he
- 40:55Speaker 12: wanted throughout the entire freaking game. Like, third and 12,
- 41:01Speaker 12: then he gets a penalty. Third and 22, he throws
- 41:06Speaker 12: it all the way to the end zone for a touchdown.
- 41:09Speaker 12: On third and 22, from like the 40. Not his 40,
- 41:13Speaker 12: or their 40, but not our 40, his 40. He
- 41:17Speaker 12: just heaves it downfield. That was one of the first
- 41:21Speaker 12: catches for Christian Watson. Insane. He just did that all day.
- 41:26Speaker 12: We couldn't beat him. And it made me sick to
- 41:30Speaker 12: my stomach that no matter how bad Tyson Bajan played
- 41:34Speaker 12: in this game, and this, I am going to put
- 41:38Speaker 12: this out there, and I've been putting it on TikTok,
- 41:40Speaker 12: and it's all over social media right now. If you
- 41:47Speaker 12: are an old white man that loves Tyson Bajan because
- 41:51Speaker 12: you don't like the black kid who paints his fingernails,
- 41:56Speaker 12: and you think that Tyson Bajan was going to be
- 41:58Speaker 12: the great white hope, that went out the door Sunday.
- 42:05Speaker 12: Nothing about that kid is a starting quarterback. I never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever,
- 42:13Speaker 12: ever want to hear Ben Johnson say he's a top
- 42:17Speaker 12: 32 quarterback ever again. His arm is a noodle arm.
- 42:23Speaker 12: He cannot throw the ball. He, once in a while,
- 42:28Speaker 12: can get a good pass. Nothing he did in that
- 42:33Speaker 12: game should make anybody ever feel that he should have
- 42:45Speaker 12: ever been a starting quarterback in the NFL. Will never happen.
- 42:50Speaker 12: He will always be a backup. And to be honest,
- 42:53Speaker 12: after watching Snoop Hundley on Sunday Night Football come in
- 42:58Speaker 12: for Lamar Jackson and lead his team to victory, it
- 43:03Speaker 12: made me sick thinking we had Tyson Bajan in there.
- 43:05Speaker 12: And the fact that in the second quarter, when it
- 43:09Speaker 12: was 14-7, and at that point, if it wasn't for
- 43:14Speaker 12: the rushing, we would have never gotten a touchdown. The
- 43:20Speaker 12: fact that he did not, Ben Johnson did not put
- 43:24Speaker 12: in Case Keenum that last drive of the half where
- 43:29Speaker 12: we had a chance to score makes me pissed off.
- 43:33Speaker 12: Because at that point, it was only 14-7. The defense
- 43:38Speaker 12: held them to 14 points in the first half. We
- 43:41Speaker 12: only had 7 on the board. Caleb or Case could
- 43:46Speaker 12: have easily tied that game up. I'm sick. In no
- 43:57Speaker 12: world should Tyson Bajan have been in past the half.
- 44:03Speaker 12: Should have never happened. And by the time you bring
- 44:05Speaker 12: in Case Keenum, people are like, see, he threw an interception.
- 44:12Speaker 12: The game was pretty much out of reach already. He
- 44:15Speaker 12: was trying his hardest. He had to pass, and they
- 44:18Speaker 12: knew that. They knew he couldn't run the ball much
- 44:21Speaker 12: because at that point, you're down that much, you have
- 44:23Speaker 12: to score fast. The only way to score fast is
- 44:26Speaker 12: to pass the ball. You're not going to run it
- 44:27Speaker 12: quick enough. We missed Mnangai. We missed Caleb Williams or
- 44:35Speaker 12: Case Keenum. Either or. When I saw Case Keenum warming
- 44:41Speaker 12: up in the second quarter, I was excited. And never,
- 44:47Speaker 12: never came out. I was like, what the hell is
- 44:50Speaker 12: going on? What was the point of doing that and
- 44:54Speaker 12: you just keep in your boy over here who stunk?
- 45:02Speaker 12: Should have never happened. And the thing that keeps me
- 45:08Speaker 12: able to sleep at night is knowing two things. Number one,
- 45:13Speaker 12: Caleb Williams practiced on Friday and And he did a
- 45:18Speaker 12: pre-game workout like you would if you were playing on
- 45:22Speaker 12: Sunday morning right before the game. He did great in both,
- 45:26Speaker 12: they said. He is pushing to be back this week.
- 45:32Speaker 12: And at this point, I think you have to. Because
- 45:34Speaker 12: you can't trust Bajan. And you don't necessarily want to
- 45:38Speaker 12: wear out a 38-year-old quarterback. So yes, if I'm the Bears,
- 45:44Speaker 12: I am pushing. Because right now.
- 45:48Speaker 12: You don't need to send up smoke signals yet. You
- 45:50Speaker 12: are five games in and you are three and two.
- 45:53Speaker 12: You beat the Panthers. I'm looking right at the schedule
- 45:55Speaker 12: right now. You beat the Panthers 59 to 37. You
- 46:00Speaker 12: lost to the Vikings on a very rainy day in Chicago,
- 46:06Speaker 12: sloppy field, rain coming down consistent. The entire game didn't
- 46:11Speaker 12: even let up at all during that entire three hour game. Um,
- 46:17Speaker 12: And you still only lost 9-3. You didn't score a touchdown,
- 46:20Speaker 12: but neither did they. And not only that, but had
- 46:23Speaker 12: Caleb not went down, he would have scored that touchdown.
- 46:26Speaker 12: He was right there. I think the Bears would have
- 46:29Speaker 12: won 10-9. Or if he would have seen Colston Loveland.
- 46:33Speaker 12: Loveland was open. He could have passed it to him.
- 46:36Speaker 12: Colston would have barreled his way into that end zone.
- 46:38Speaker 12: He was only five yards away. So I really believe,
- 46:41Speaker 12: as maybe he wouldn't have tweaked his hamstring, had... Had
- 46:46Speaker 12: he passed the ball instead of ran it. So we'll
- 46:49Speaker 12: see what happens. You beat the Eagles on Monday Night
- 46:54Speaker 12: Football with your third string quarterback. Case came in and
- 47:01Speaker 12: won that game. 27-7. It wasn't even a game. Next week,
- 47:09Speaker 12: Tyson Bajan comes in. He beats what is a crappy
- 47:12Speaker 12: Jets team, 23-12. A lot closer than it should have been.
- 47:16Speaker 12: Had Case Keenum or Caleb played in that game, they
- 47:20Speaker 12: probably would have scored another 59 points. And then, of course,
- 47:23Speaker 12: you lose really bad. Get your asses handed to you
- 47:26Speaker 12: in Green Bay 31-7. You're 3-2 in the first five games.
- 47:31Speaker 12: You're above. 500. That is better than they were last
- 47:34Speaker 12: year at this point. But sometimes you need an ass-whooping
- 47:39Speaker 12: to humble yourself. And I think that's what this does.
- 47:42Speaker 12: It did it last year. when this happened with Detroit,
- 47:46Speaker 12: when we gave up 50 to Detroit, and Ben Johnson,
- 47:50Speaker 12: he came back and he responded. Now we're at the Falcons,
- 47:54Speaker 12: and then we have a short turnaround. We have the
- 47:57Speaker 12: Falcons Sunday, then we come home to play the Patriots
- 48:00Speaker 12: on Thursday night football. So you got a small little
- 48:03Speaker 12: turnaround to do something. Week 8, Monday night football. So
- 48:07Speaker 12: after having a Sunday and then a Thursday game, we
- 48:11Speaker 12: don't play until the following Monday in Week 8. That's huge.
- 48:16Speaker 12: That extra couple of days rest, that helps us. Because
- 48:19Speaker 12: we'll be at the Seahawks. And then week 9 against
- 48:22Speaker 12: the Buccaneers at home on Sunday Night Football. We have 1, 2,
- 48:27Speaker 12: 3 primetime games coming up before the bye week. Week
- 48:33Speaker 12: 10 we have the bye week. Then we play the
- 48:34Speaker 12: Saints on November 22nd. That's a Sunday game at noon
- 48:42Speaker 12: on Fox against the Saints. Then We have another short
- 48:46Speaker 12: week because we travel to Detroit to play the Lions
- 48:49Speaker 12: on Thanksgiving Day. That's crazy. Then we play the Jaguars
- 48:54Speaker 12: at noon. We have a Sunday that we play week
- 48:57Speaker 12: 14 at the Dolphins. A noon game on Sunday. Then
- 49:01Speaker 12: we have another primetime game against the Bills. At the Bills.
- 49:06Speaker 12: So that's going to be crazy. That's a Saturday game.
- 49:13Speaker 12: Very rare do we have Saturday games. And then, week 16,
- 49:18Speaker 12: we play a Friday game on christmas day on netflix
- 49:21Speaker 12: against the packers at noon then january 3rd we got
- 49:27Speaker 12: the lions at home and we end with the vikings
- 49:30Speaker 12: so i'm telling you now i feel like we still
- 49:34Speaker 12: are gonna have a really good season and i believe
- 49:36Speaker 12: we're still around when i said we were gonna be
- 49:39Speaker 12: um At this point. Because I don't remember if I
- 49:42Speaker 12: said the Bears were going to beat the Packers. At
- 49:45Speaker 12: their house. And then lose here on Christmas Day. But
- 49:49Speaker 12: if that was the case. Then we're just going to
- 49:50Speaker 12: flip flop it. Because I believe we're going to win.
- 49:53Speaker 12: Montez Sweat. Got. A two week suspension. So he'll miss
- 49:59Speaker 12: Sunday and Thursday. For. Performance enhancing drugs. He would add
- 50:04Speaker 12: some peds. How do you take performance enhancing drugs. And
- 50:10Speaker 12: it doesn't enhance your performance. Pretty crazy. Uh, but yeah,
- 50:13Speaker 12: so we're going to be without him for a week
- 50:17Speaker 12: and a half and a couple of weeks or well,
- 50:19Speaker 12: technically a full week because we'll miss him for two
- 50:22Speaker 12: games and less than five days, but it's crazy. I'm
- 50:27Speaker 12: excited though. I think the bears are going to win Sunday. Um,
- 50:30Speaker 12: we're going to have hopefully Caleb back. If not, Case
- 50:33Speaker 12: Keenum is going to go, you know, they're not going
- 50:35Speaker 12: to go with, um, I don't think they trust him enough,
- 50:42Speaker 12: and I wouldn't either. So, yeah, that's what we're going
- 50:45Speaker 12: to do. So we'll see what happens there. I'm excited.
- 50:49Speaker 12: I think that we're going to do great. So, yeah.
- 50:52Speaker 12: All right, let's move on and talk a little bit
- 50:54Speaker 12: MLB playoffs. It was a horrible weekend for Chicago sports.
- 50:59Speaker 12: The White Sox, we lost Ditka on Friday. The White
- 51:03Speaker 12: Sox lost on Thursday and then Saturday, and then the
- 51:08Speaker 12: Bears lost on Sunday. So the Sox are officially out
- 51:12Speaker 12: of the playoffs. Sox-tober is over, and it is down
- 51:16Speaker 12: to four teams. And that is right. And I thought
- 51:21Speaker 12: of this today, and then I heard it on the radio,
- 51:22Speaker 12: but I thought of it first. We could have a
- 51:29Speaker 12: World Series with two of our biggest rivals in Chicago.
- 51:35Speaker 12: The Brewers are the Cubs' big rival. and the Indians are,
- 51:40Speaker 12: or the, sorry, not the Indians, the Guardians are the
- 51:45Speaker 12: big rival of the White Sox. We could have the
- 51:48Speaker 12: Indians and the Guardians and the Brewers playing each other
- 51:53Speaker 12: in the World Series. Who would Chicago go for? It's crazy.
- 52:00Speaker 12: You're going to have Brewer fans going for the Guardians,
- 52:05Speaker 12: You're going to have Sox fans going for the Brewers
- 52:09Speaker 12: because who do you go for at that point? Hopefully
- 52:12Speaker 12: that's not going to happen. We're going to see. Let's
- 52:15Speaker 12: see where we're at right now. The Brewers are off
- 52:19Speaker 12: on the day that I'm recording this. So they are
- 52:24Speaker 12: already up, though, 2-0. Let me see. They are up
- 52:30Speaker 12: 2-0 already. MLB playoff schedule, so let's look at where
- 52:38Speaker 12: we're at. Right now in the bottom of the fourth
- 52:41Speaker 12: of the game that's on today, on the day I'm
- 52:43Speaker 12: recording this, Tampa Bay Rays have a 3-0 lead over
- 52:47Speaker 12: the Guardians, but it does not matter because they had
- 52:50Speaker 12: that same lead over them the last time, and it
- 52:55Speaker 12: didn't matter. They lost it, and they lost game one.
- 52:59Speaker 12: Schedule for the week on Wednesday, it was the Brewers
- 53:04Speaker 12: and Dodgers. And then Thursday, the day that you're listening
- 53:11Speaker 12: to this, there's going to be a doubleheader. You're going
- 53:14Speaker 12: to have the Rays at the Guardians and the Brewers
- 53:18Speaker 12: at the Dodgers for game three. Or no, that'll be
- 53:22Speaker 12: game four, that one. So that could be a sweeping moment,
- 53:25Speaker 12: depending on if the Brewers won Wednesday night. Then it
- 53:31Speaker 12: could be a sweep of the Dodgers, which I don't
- 53:34Speaker 12: think that's going to happen. I think Dodgers will win
- 53:36Speaker 12: Wednesday's game. but we'll see what happens. And I think
- 53:41Speaker 12: this series is going to tie at one because I
- 53:44Speaker 12: think that the Rays will win that game. I don't
- 53:46Speaker 12: think they're going to lose two games in a row.
- 53:49Speaker 12: They were the best team in the American League. So
- 53:52Speaker 12: we'll see what happens there. My prediction... It's hard for
- 53:56Speaker 12: me to predict this kind of stuff with baseball because
- 54:00Speaker 12: I'm not a huge baseball guy. Not my favorite sport.
- 54:03Speaker 12: But I'm going to go... I'm still going Dodgers and Rays.
- 54:07Speaker 12: I think that the Guardians lose, and I think the
- 54:10Speaker 12: Brewers lose. And as a Chicago fan, that's what I'm
- 54:12Speaker 12: hoping for. Big news right now in the NHL, of course.
- 54:16Speaker 12: Conor Bedard is officially back. He is playing in this
- 54:21Speaker 12: game that's on my TV right now as I watch.
- 54:24Speaker 12: And as of this moment, they are beating the Penguins 3-1.
- 54:29Speaker 12: Let's see what Bedard has done up until this point
- 54:32Speaker 12: in the game. Let's see if he did anything. He
- 54:34Speaker 12: has an assist. He has his first assist of the year.
- 54:37Speaker 12: First point. And Patrick Kane doesn't look like he did
- 54:42Speaker 12: anything at this point. Does he even play tonight? Let
- 54:45Speaker 12: me see. I don't think they would not play him.
- 54:53Speaker 12: Let me see. I didn't say Patrick Mahomes. Hold on.
- 55:04Speaker 12: Let's see. Yes, he is playing in this game today.
- 55:08Speaker 12: I haven't seen him, but I haven't really paid much attention.
- 55:10Speaker 12: You're not really paying a lot of attention to it
- 55:16Speaker 12: as I'm doing the show. So, yeah, I'm excited. Bedard
- 55:20Speaker 12: and Kane are on the ice for the first time together.
- 55:23Speaker 12: I think it's going to be a great marriage between
- 55:25Speaker 12: the two. I think we're going to have a little
- 55:27Speaker 12: bit of a Taves-Kane type dynamic where Taves was the captain.
- 55:32Speaker 12: Of course, Bedard's the captain. And then of course, um, uh,
- 55:37Speaker 12: Kate is the assistant. So, uh, we'll see what happens.
- 55:40Speaker 12: I'll see. We'll report next week and see where the
- 55:42Speaker 12: Blackhawks are. We'll do a little Bedard update, see how
- 55:46Speaker 12: he did in his first week back. We'll talk about
- 55:49Speaker 12: that next week. Uh, let's go into money in the bank.
- 55:58Speaker 12: Let's talk a little money in the bank. Of course, uh,
- 56:00Speaker 12: money in the bank was this weekend. Um, So let's
- 56:05Speaker 12: look up and see who won. Let's see. There was
- 56:17Speaker 12: a crazy moment in that match where Tiffany Stratton hit
- 56:23Speaker 12: her head. And it was crazy. I was actually scared
- 56:29Speaker 12: for her for a minute because she took a very, very, very...
- 56:34Speaker 12: Big hit where she dove off the ladder and they
- 56:37Speaker 12: didn't catch her the right way. She went into the
- 56:40Speaker 12: big crowd. They were all standing there. She dove to
- 56:44Speaker 12: dive on top of all of them. And they didn't
- 56:47Speaker 12: catch her right. And she hit her head on the mat. So, yeah, very,
- 56:57Speaker 12: very scary moment for her. And I was a little
- 57:03Speaker 12: scared for her. At the time, it was pretty bad.
- 57:07Speaker 12: But we'll see, you know, what happens from that. She
- 57:09Speaker 12: did not appear on Raw on Monday night. So, you know,
- 57:14Speaker 12: that was kind of crazy, you know, because they had
- 57:16Speaker 12: a moment where they had Chelsea Green against Roxanne Perez
- 57:20Speaker 12: and they beat up Chelsea and you would think you'd
- 57:22Speaker 12: hear it's Tiffy time and she comes out with her briefcase. Nothing.
- 57:26Speaker 12: So apparently she is hurt and cannot do anything yet.
- 57:30Speaker 12: So we will see what happens there. Saturday night, so
- 57:33Speaker 12: here we go. This was the results for Money in
- 57:36Speaker 12: the Bank. World Heavyweight Championship kicked off the show. It
- 57:40Speaker 12: was Roman Reigns and LA Knight. No! LA Knight lost.
- 57:46Speaker 12: Roman Reigns is still your World Heavyweight Championship. Second match
- 57:51Speaker 12: of the night, Women's Money in the Bank. Great match.
- 57:54Speaker 12: I loved it. The women showed up and showed out
- 57:57Speaker 12: like they always do in the Money in the Bank,
- 57:59Speaker 12: and Tiffany Stratton won. I think it should have been
- 58:02Speaker 12: Roxanne Perez. I think that the story would have been
- 58:05Speaker 12: better with her. I get the whole Tiffy thing with
- 58:09Speaker 12: Chelsea Green, kind of like the Nia Jax thing, but
- 58:13Speaker 12: we've seen it before. We know how that ends. So
- 58:16Speaker 12: I would have been more happy to see Roxanne turn
- 58:19Speaker 12: on Liv Morgan right away and cash in the money
- 58:23Speaker 12: in the bank. And I think Tiffy did not cash
- 58:26Speaker 12: in because she was hurt. And they would rather, because
- 58:29Speaker 12: here's the thing, if somebody gets hurt, but they're the
- 58:31Speaker 12: money in the bank briefcase holder, you have an entire
- 58:34Speaker 12: year to cash in your money in the bank. So technically,
- 58:39Speaker 12: you can be hurt for four months, five months, and
- 58:42Speaker 12: just like Seth Rollins was, and he came back and
- 58:45Speaker 12: cashed it on Punk. So being hurt, you don't have
- 58:49Speaker 12: to worry about giving up the briefcase. As long as
- 58:51Speaker 12: you're going to be in action before the next money
- 58:55Speaker 12: in the bank, you don't have to worry about it.
- 58:58Speaker 12: The next match of the night was Obafemi versus Bronson Reed,
- 59:02Speaker 12: and man, Bronson Reed tried. He gave him like five Tsunamis,
- 59:07Speaker 12: Obafemi kicked out, and... And, I mean, you had Jake Paul.
- 59:12Speaker 12: Or not Jake Paul. Logan Paul come down. And whatever
- 59:17Speaker 12: her name is. And Austin Theory. I mean, they all tried.
- 59:21Speaker 12: The only one that didn't come down was Brom Breaker.
- 59:24Speaker 12: He didn't come down because he was in the Money
- 59:26Speaker 12: in the Bank match.
- 59:27Speaker 8: And.
- 59:28Speaker 12: They tried everything they could. Omafemi wins, beats Bronson Reed.
- 59:34Speaker 12: And then we had the next match of the night
- 59:39Speaker 12: was the men's money in the bank match. I went
- 59:42Speaker 12: over all of them, right?
- 59:43Speaker 7: Yeah, I did.
- 59:44Speaker 12: Men's money in the bank match was off the hook.
- 59:46Speaker 12: All the men just put it on there. I mean,
- 59:50Speaker 12: we had Javon Evans go through an ambulance. I mean,
- 59:53Speaker 12: it was wood, but the dude, like, literally took that bump. Like,
- 59:58Speaker 12: off the biggest ladder you'd ever seen, he took that bump.
- 1:00:03Speaker 12: And he, if you have not seen the scene yet,
- 1:00:05Speaker 12: just go watch it. Brian Breaker pushed him off the ladder,
- 1:00:10Speaker 12: pushed the whole ladder, and Javon Evans went through the
- 1:00:15Speaker 12: roof of an ambulance. It was wood, but still, it
- 1:00:19Speaker 12: had to hurt. I don't care who you are, that
- 1:00:22Speaker 12: stuff hurt. Penta ended up becoming the new Men's Money
- 1:00:27Speaker 12: in the Bank winner. So I'm excited for that. I
- 1:00:30Speaker 12: was hoping to see maybe Braun or I was hoping
- 1:00:32Speaker 12: to see a mad LA Knight come out and just
- 1:00:37Speaker 12: steal the briefcase because we've seen Brock Lesnar do it.
- 1:00:41Speaker 12: Brock Lesnar was not in the Money in the Bank match.
- 1:00:45Speaker 12: He comes down and takes the briefcase off and walks
- 1:00:48Speaker 12: away with it. He was the winner. Because technically, as
- 1:00:52Speaker 12: long as you pull the briefcase down, you could win it.
- 1:00:56Speaker 12: Anyone can come down and do it. They just don't.
- 1:01:01Speaker 12: So we'll see what happens. But I'm excited. Penta has
- 1:01:04Speaker 12: already said that he is going to hold the briefcase
- 1:01:08Speaker 12: for a while. So I don't think we're going to
- 1:01:10Speaker 12: have any cash-ins anytime soon. We're not even going to
- 1:01:13Speaker 12: have a cash-in from Tiffany Stratton because if she's hurt
- 1:01:16Speaker 12: right now and she has a bad concussion, she might
- 1:01:19Speaker 12: be out for a couple of weeks, at least a month.
- 1:01:21Speaker 12: So I think we're safe for Crown Jewel 2. They
- 1:01:26Speaker 12: already announced that Crown Jewel will be moving. They are
- 1:01:30Speaker 12: not going to be in.
- 1:01:36Speaker 12: They are not going to be in Saudi Arabia. They
- 1:01:40Speaker 12: cannot go there. I guess Saudi Arabia has already said
- 1:01:44Speaker 12: they don't want anybody coming in there right now because
- 1:01:50Speaker 12: of all the missiles and the bombs and all that stuff.
- 1:01:53Speaker 12: So they're basically... canceling Crown Jewel and they are going
- 1:01:59Speaker 12: to move it somewhere else. They have not decided where yet.
- 1:02:02Speaker 12: They got to do it soon because it's November 7th.
- 1:02:05Speaker 12: So they're going to have to do it very quick.
- 1:02:08Speaker 12: So I guess we'll see where they do it. Hopefully,
- 1:02:10Speaker 12: you know, they don't have to do it in the
- 1:02:11Speaker 12: United States. They could go to like another stadium in
- 1:02:15Speaker 12: another place. Here's the thing though. You have to let
- 1:02:18Speaker 12: people know because they have to book rooms. They have
- 1:02:22Speaker 12: to book flights. They have to rebook their flights and everything.
- 1:02:26Speaker 12: going instead of where they are now. So, I mean,
- 1:02:29Speaker 12: you have to do a lot of stuff. So WWE
- 1:02:32Speaker 12: really needs to get on this and hurry up because
- 1:02:34Speaker 12: these people need to know where they're going to watch
- 1:02:37Speaker 12: this event. So, yeah, that is it. We are done
- 1:02:40Speaker 12: with the sports section. We are going to go into
- 1:02:43Speaker 12: a song. We have Alan Jackson with the late, great
- 1:02:47Speaker 12: Jimmy Buffett. Here we go, the birthday boy. He's going
- 1:02:50Speaker 12: to be 68 this weekend. Here it is. It's 5
- 1:02:53Speaker 12: o'clock somewhere. right here on the Robbie G Podcast. Keep
- 1:02:57Speaker 12: it locked in.
- 1:03:00Speaker 11: The sun is hot and that old clock is moving
- 1:03:13Speaker 11: slow and so am I. Workday passes like molasses.
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: In wintertime, but it's July.
- 1:03:24Speaker 11: Getting paid by the hour and older by the minute.
- 1:03:28Speaker 11: My boss just pushed me over the limit. I'd like
- 1:03:32Speaker 11: to call him something. I think I'll just call it
- 1:03:35Speaker 11: a day. Pour me something tall and strong. Make it
- 1:03:41Speaker 11: a hurricane before I go insane. It's only half past twelve,
- 1:03:48Speaker 11: but I don't care.
- 1:04:03Speaker 14: This lunch break is gonna take all afternoon and half
- 1:04:08Speaker 14: the night Tomorrow morning I know there'll be hell.
- 1:04:14Speaker 11: To pay But that's all right I ain't had a
- 1:04:18Speaker 11: day off now In over a year My Jamaican vacation's
- 1:04:23Speaker 11: Gonna start right here Get the phones from me You
- 1:04:27Speaker 11: can tell them I just sailed away And pour me
- 1:04:33Speaker 11: something tall and strong Make it a hurricane Before I
- 1:04:37Speaker 11: go insane It's only half past twelve But I don't
- 1:04:43Speaker 11: care It's five o'clock somewhere.
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: I could pay off my tab, pour myself in a
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: cab and be back to work before two.
- 1:05:09Speaker 11: At a moment like this, I can't help but wonder,
- 1:05:14Speaker 11: what would Jimmy Buffett do?
- 1:05:17Speaker 12: Funny you should ask, Alan.
- 1:05:19Speaker 15: I'd say, pull me something tall and strong, make it
- 1:05:23Speaker 15: a hurricane before I go insane. It's only half past twelve,
- 1:05:29Speaker 15: but I don't care. Pour me something tall and strong
- 1:05:36Speaker 15: Make it a hurricane Before I go insane It's only
- 1:05:41Speaker 15: half past twelve But I don't care He don't care
- 1:05:48Speaker 15: I don't.
- 1:05:50Speaker 12: Care It's five o'clock somewhere What.
- 1:05:53Speaker 8: Time zone am I.
- 1:05:57Speaker 12: On?
- 1:05:57Speaker 9: What country am I in?
- 1:05:59Speaker 11: It doesn't matter, it's five o'clock somewhere.
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: It's always on 5 in Margaritaville, come to think of it.
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: I heard that.
- 1:06:07Speaker 7: You've been there, haven't you?
- 1:06:08Speaker 12: Yes, sir.
- 1:06:09Speaker 9: I've seen your boat there.
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: I've been to Margaritaville a few times.
- 1:06:12Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:06:13Speaker 9: Well, that's good.
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: Stumbled my way back.
- 1:06:15Speaker 12: Okay.
- 1:06:15Speaker 13: Well, we just want to make sure you can keep
- 1:06:16Speaker 13: it between the navigational beacons. We're in the buoys.
- 1:06:20Speaker 9: I got it.
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:06:22Speaker 9: Well, it's 5 o'clock.
- 1:06:23Speaker 12: Let's go somewhere.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: I'm ready.
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: Crank it up.
- 1:06:25Speaker 12: Let's get out of here.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: I'm gone.
- 1:06:47Speaker 12: All right, we are back. That was, of course, the late,
- 1:06:51Speaker 12: great Jimmy Buffett with Alan Jackson, who's got a birthday
- 1:06:55Speaker 12: this weekend. He turns 68 years old with It's 5
- 1:06:59Speaker 12: O'Clock Somewhere, my theme song for my weekends. For the
- 1:07:04Speaker 12: fans of Love is Blind, I am excited because by
- 1:07:07Speaker 12: the time I post this, by the time I post
- 1:07:11Speaker 12: this on Thursday, you can already have watched or binge-watched
- 1:07:16Speaker 12: the next season of Love is Blind. Season 11 is
- 1:07:19Speaker 12: coming out on Wednesday, so it is already released as
- 1:07:23Speaker 12: of this drop. And so anybody who loves Love is Blind,
- 1:07:28Speaker 12: it is in Boston. I can't wait to see it.
- 1:07:31Speaker 12: They showed the previews. It looked really good. I am
- 1:07:34Speaker 12: a big fan of Love is Blind. I cannot wait
- 1:07:37Speaker 12: to talk about it next week. We'll talk about whatever
- 1:07:40Speaker 12: episodes I've watched, because I think by that point, I mean,
- 1:07:43Speaker 12: I have a wedding this weekend. So, you know, to
- 1:07:47Speaker 12: go to on Friday. But I'm sure me and my
- 1:07:50Speaker 12: wife are going to watch an episode on Wednesday, Thursday,
- 1:07:54Speaker 12: maybe Saturday and Sunday. So we'll probably get done with
- 1:07:57Speaker 12: the first batch of them hopefully by the end of
- 1:07:59Speaker 12: the weekend. We'll see. But I'm excited. So any fans
- 1:08:02Speaker 12: of the Netflix show Love is Blind season 11 drops,
- 1:08:07Speaker 12: it's already out as of the time you're hearing this.
- 1:08:09Speaker 12: Because you're hearing this on Thursday. So get excited. Pull
- 1:08:13Speaker 12: up and watch Love is Blind. On Netflix. For people
- 1:08:19Speaker 12: who are fans of the show Chicago Fire, you should
- 1:08:23Speaker 12: have already watched the first episode. If you haven't, then
- 1:08:29Speaker 12: make sure that you skip past this part. I'll give
- 1:08:34Speaker 12: you five seconds. Five, four, three, two, one. Get out.
- 1:08:39Speaker 9: All right.
- 1:08:41Speaker 12: Chicago Fire, I'm happy... then nobody died in the fire
- 1:08:47Speaker 12: from last year. That season finale had me like all summer, like,
- 1:08:53Speaker 12: oh my God, I gotta wait till October to see
- 1:08:57Speaker 12: who survives if anybody survives maybe they all survive there
- 1:09:02Speaker 12: was one catastrophic thing which we already knew uh it
- 1:09:06Speaker 12: was announced during the summer that Joe Cruz who is
- 1:09:10Speaker 12: um uh played who's played by Joe Minoza is officially
- 1:09:19Speaker 12: leaving Chicago Fire. He will be on a few episodes,
- 1:09:24Speaker 12: and then they will depart from his character. Also announced
- 1:09:30Speaker 12: in the summertime, we found out that Leroyce Hawkins is
- 1:09:33Speaker 12: leaving Chicago PD. Everybody knows him as Atwater. In fact,
- 1:09:38Speaker 12: his last episode will be yesterday, because it's Thursday, you're
- 1:09:44Speaker 12: hearing this, so it was yesterday on Wednesday. That is
- 1:09:47Speaker 12: his final episode of the season. In other Wolf news,
- 1:09:53Speaker 12: Christopher Maloney will be back for the 600th episode of
- 1:09:57Speaker 12: Law & Order SVU. He will be on that episode.
- 1:10:00Speaker 12: And they were asked, is this a one-off or multiple?
- 1:10:05Speaker 12: They said, you're going to have to find out. So,
- 1:10:10Speaker 12: you know, with his show getting canceled, he could go
- 1:10:13Speaker 12: back to SVU. They could always use an extra detective.
- 1:10:16Speaker 12: And what better dynamic than getting back Stabler and Benson
- 1:10:22Speaker 12: together again? So we'll see what happens there. But yeah,
- 1:10:26Speaker 12: as everybody knows, Joe Minosa is leaving Chicago Fire. It's sad.
- 1:10:32Speaker 12: I'm going to miss him. He's one of my favorite characters.
- 1:10:36Speaker 12: They basically, in that fire, he did not die, which
- 1:10:39Speaker 12: is good, but he did end up paralyzed. Very sad
- 1:10:44Speaker 12: when you watch a character... For so long. I mean.
- 1:10:48Speaker 12: I cried when Shay died. I cried when Otis died.
- 1:10:52Speaker 12: I mean. I don't. Look. You can say what you want.
- 1:10:56Speaker 12: Any of the haters who listen to this show. Because
- 1:10:59Speaker 12: I know there's some haters that listen. I know. I
- 1:11:01Speaker 12: know you guys are out there. And I know you
- 1:11:04Speaker 12: guys look for any reason to nitpick my show. And
- 1:11:06Speaker 12: that's fine. You can't. Hey. A listen is a listen. Okay.
- 1:11:11Speaker 12: I don't care who listens to my show. If you
- 1:11:15Speaker 12: want to hate on me. You can hate on me.
- 1:11:17Speaker 12: Go follow me on TikTok and all the socials that
- 1:11:20Speaker 12: are down below. Buy my book on Amazon. She thought
- 1:11:23Speaker 12: she knew them. You can use it, like, for toilet paper.
- 1:11:26Speaker 12: You can use it to put your, you know, it's
- 1:11:28Speaker 12: a great holiday gift, my book. You can use it
- 1:11:32Speaker 12: as a coaster for your stuff. I don't give a
- 1:11:35Speaker 12: shit once you buy it. But, yeah, so, yeah. Like
- 1:11:42Speaker 12: I was saying, you know, I mean, it's sad because
- 1:11:45Speaker 12: when you watch these shows, you really start to resonate
- 1:11:50Speaker 12: with the characters. And you see them every week for,
- 1:11:54Speaker 12: you know, the entire fall and winter. And then they're
- 1:11:57Speaker 12: gone in the summer, you know, doing their own thing
- 1:11:59Speaker 12: and stuff. And it's sad when things happen like this. But,
- 1:12:03Speaker 12: you know, it's a show about real life things. It's
- 1:12:08Speaker 12: a fire show. And in real life, firemen get paralyzed.
- 1:12:12Speaker 12: They die in the line of duty. Like, it's sad.
- 1:12:16Speaker 12: But it happens. So, yeah, I'm a little sad about that. But,
- 1:12:23Speaker 12: you know, I know they're going to do him right.
- 1:12:24Speaker 12: And they did do him right by not making him
- 1:12:30Speaker 12: die in the fire. Because I would have been sad
- 1:12:33Speaker 12: if they would have killed him off. And there were
- 1:12:34Speaker 12: times in that episode at the beginning where I really
- 1:12:37Speaker 12: thought he died. You know, and stuff. And so, you know,
- 1:12:42Speaker 12: I mean, I love the story arc of the character.
- 1:12:45Speaker 12: And I want to see how he leaves the show.
- 1:12:48Speaker 12: And I think it's going to be very, you know,
- 1:12:53Speaker 12: very Joe-like. That's how he's going to leave. So we'll
- 1:12:57Speaker 12: see what happens. I'm sad that he's gone. I'm sad
- 1:13:00Speaker 12: that LaRoyce Hawkins is leaving PD. It's always sad when
- 1:13:06Speaker 12: they leave. You know, we'll see what happens there. All right,
- 1:13:09Speaker 12: let's go over the box office really quick before we
- 1:13:12Speaker 12: get out of here. I've kept you for 73 minutes already.
- 1:13:15Speaker 12: I really appreciate everybody that listens to my show. I'm very, very,
- 1:13:22Speaker 12: very want to give everybody a heartfelt thank you for
- 1:13:25Speaker 12: this because I love doing this. I don't get paid
- 1:13:27Speaker 12: for this right now. I'd like to. I'd like to
- 1:13:30Speaker 12: get sponsors and make money off of it. But right
- 1:13:32Speaker 12: now I'm having fun just doing it every week, just grinding.
- 1:13:35Speaker 12: airing out my grievances with the Bears and other teams
- 1:13:38Speaker 12: in Chicago. Next week we'll talk about the Bulls because
- 1:13:41Speaker 12: they start next week. Their first game of the year
- 1:13:44Speaker 12: is going to be Wednesday of next week, the regular season.
- 1:13:48Speaker 12: And I'm not on on Wednesdays, I'm on Tuesdays. So
- 1:13:50Speaker 12: we'll preview the season and I'll talk about what I
- 1:13:53Speaker 12: feel is going to happen next for the year, maybe
- 1:13:55Speaker 12: record and all that too. All right, so here were
- 1:13:58Speaker 12: the movies at the box office. Let's look and see
- 1:14:04Speaker 12: what we got. Number 10, Angel and the Bad Man.
- 1:14:08Speaker 12: Weekend gross of $ 2. 1 million. Total gross of $ 2. 4 million.
- 1:14:12Speaker 12: It was their first week out. Number 9, The Odyssey.
- 1:14:15Speaker 12: Still in the top 10. Odyssey did a weekend gross
- 1:14:18Speaker 12: of $ 2. 1 million. A total gross of $ 624 million in
- 1:14:23Speaker 12: 13 weeks out. The movie Digger did $ 3. 2 million in
- 1:14:29Speaker 12: its first week of a weekend gross. $ 15 million total gross.
- 1:14:33Speaker 12: In two weeks. Oh, in two weeks. Sorry. Not the
- 1:14:36Speaker 12: first week. The movie Primetime did a weekend gross of
- 1:14:39Speaker 12: $ 4 million. Total gross of $ 42 million in three weeks.
- 1:14:44Speaker 12: Forgotten Island comes in on this list with $ 4. 7 million.
- 1:14:49Speaker 12: A weekend gross of $ 32 million in three weeks. In
- 1:14:53Speaker 12: its first week out, it came in number five. The
- 1:14:57Speaker 12: Social Reckoning. It is the Next installment of the Facebook movie,
- 1:15:03Speaker 12: The Social Network. Did 5 million weekend gross, 5.6 million
- 1:15:08Speaker 12: total gross in one week. Number four, Heart of the Beast.
- 1:15:13Speaker 12: Did 7.4 million with a total gross of 51 million
- 1:15:17Speaker 12: in the three weeks it's been out. Number three, Resident Evil.
- 1:15:21Speaker 12: Made 8.6 million total gross of $ 140 million in four weeks.
- 1:15:24Speaker 12: And number two, Verity. Did a weekend gross of $ 12 million,
- 1:15:34Speaker 12: total gross of $ 56 million in two weeks out. And
- 1:15:37Speaker 12: the number one movie at the box office last week
- 1:15:41Speaker 12: was Other Mommy. It did $ 28 million in its first week,
- 1:15:47Speaker 12: a total gross of $ 31 million. I don't even know
- 1:15:50Speaker 12: what The Other Mommy is. What is this? It's with
- 1:15:56Speaker 12: Jessica Chastain. It says, Bella, an eight-year-old girl living in
- 1:16:00Speaker 12: a home Wow. Sounds great. Man, I never heard of
- 1:16:06Speaker 12: that one. I have to check that out. Oh, and
- 1:16:08Speaker 12: don't forget, we've got the Carrie remake. is out already,
- 1:16:32Speaker 12: I believe, or it's coming out, um, Crystal Lake is
- 1:16:36Speaker 12: coming out soon, October 15th, actually, so this week, today,
- 1:16:45Speaker 12: it's coming out today for you guys that are listening
- 1:16:46Speaker 12: right now, comes out October 15th, so, stars Linda Cardinelli,
- 1:16:51Speaker 12: one of my favorite actresses, that is awesome, and you
- 1:16:55Speaker 12: can watch the Carrie show on Prime Video, so, pretty cool, um, Oh,
- 1:17:01Speaker 12: last thing before I go. I want to send a
- 1:17:05Speaker 12: I'm proud of and congratulations out to my son-in-law, Jay.
- 1:17:11Speaker 12: He did the Chicago Marathon this weekend. And he finished.
- 1:17:16Speaker 12: He got his medal. First time ever running in a marathon.
- 1:17:20Speaker 12: And he loves it. So he's going to do it
- 1:17:22Speaker 12: every year now. But I am very, very proud of
- 1:17:25Speaker 12: him and everybody who did it because... It's one of
- 1:17:30Speaker 12: those things when you look, you know, it's not easy
- 1:17:37Speaker 12: to do. Like, I mean, not everybody could just be
- 1:17:40Speaker 12: a runner, okay? You're not going to see my fat
- 1:17:43Speaker 12: ass running a marathon because I would probably die like
- 1:17:48Speaker 12: a blockhead to it. So for me, I live vicariously
- 1:17:54Speaker 12: through people who can do those things. And my son-in-law
- 1:17:58Speaker 12: is a fireman. for his full-time job. And he's been training,
- 1:18:03Speaker 12: you know, day and night at the firehouse when they're
- 1:18:07Speaker 12: not on a call and at home and at the gym.
- 1:18:11Speaker 12: And he put in a lot of work to get
- 1:18:14Speaker 12: this done. So for my son-in-law, Jay, I am proud
- 1:18:19Speaker 12: of you. You made your family and our family and
- 1:18:22Speaker 12: the whole family proud of you for this. And I mean,
- 1:18:25Speaker 12: we're already proud of you for being a fireman. But
- 1:18:28Speaker 12: we're extra proud of you for doing this, too. Because
- 1:18:32Speaker 12: to take out a feat like the Chicago Marathon, 26.2 miles.
- 1:18:36Speaker 12: Anthony Rizzo did it. Jake Arrieta. Nev Schulman from Catfish
- 1:18:42Speaker 12: did it.
- 1:18:43Speaker 6: He was there.
- 1:18:45Speaker 12: I was in shock. I was watching videos on Sunday
- 1:18:47Speaker 12: that were popping up on my TikTok feed. And it
- 1:18:50Speaker 12: was of the Chicago Marathon. People running it and stuff.
- 1:18:53Speaker 12: So it was amazing to see. Because there's professional runners
- 1:18:57Speaker 12: in it. And then there's people who just do it
- 1:19:00Speaker 12: because they want to do it. They're not professionals. They're
- 1:19:03Speaker 12: just doing it because they want to give themselves a challenge.
- 1:19:07Speaker 12: And it starts with that first marathon and it goes
- 1:19:09Speaker 12: from there. And if I know my son-in-law, Jay, I
- 1:19:12Speaker 12: know he's already thinking Boston Marathon. I know it. Maybe not,
- 1:19:17Speaker 12: obviously not this year. But, you know, I can see
- 1:19:21Speaker 12: that he's thinking Boston Marathon one day. Boston Marathon. So
- 1:19:26Speaker 12: congratulations to Jay and to all the other 55,000 people
- 1:19:31Speaker 12: that did it. Because you guys were an inspiration. There
- 1:19:33Speaker 12: were people... With, you know, in wheelchairs. There were people
- 1:19:39Speaker 12: with disabilities. From, you know, being handicapped to not having legs.
- 1:19:44Speaker 12: You know, they were running on the things and all that.
- 1:19:47Speaker 12: I mean, it was just people. Just one day. 55,000 people.
- 1:19:57Speaker 12: You know, just all together for one big thing. They
- 1:20:01Speaker 12: were there together. They raise money for charities while they
- 1:20:06Speaker 12: were doing this and all that. So amazing. I am
- 1:20:09Speaker 12: proud of every single one of you, 55,000. But I actually,
- 1:20:13Speaker 12: this year, I'm proud every year of the people who
- 1:20:15Speaker 12: do it. But this year, I had a special person
- 1:20:18Speaker 12: who was doing it too. So that really makes me happy.
- 1:20:23Speaker 12: I will see everybody next week. I'm getting teary-eyed over
- 1:20:25Speaker 12: here thinking about all this stuff. But I am taking off.
- 1:20:29Speaker 12: I will see everybody next week here on the Robby
- 1:20:31Speaker 12: G Podcast. We are going to have some fun. We'll
- 1:20:34Speaker 12: talk NFL. Hopefully the Bears don't F it up again.
- 1:20:37Speaker 12: We're going to talk NCAA. We're going to talk high
- 1:20:40Speaker 12: school football playoffs. We are going to talk about the Hawks,
- 1:20:44Speaker 12: the Bulls, NASCAR. We're going to have a good big
- 1:20:47Speaker 12: sports show next week and then possibly a little entertainment
- 1:20:50Speaker 12: thrown in there too. I love you all. Have a
- 1:20:53Speaker 12: great weekend. Get out there because we don't have a
- 1:20:56Speaker 12: lot of time before it gets really cold and snowy
- 1:20:58Speaker 12: in the Midwest. So get out there and do something
- 1:21:01Speaker 12: fun this weekend. I got a wedding. Congratulations to my
- 1:21:06Speaker 12: niece Allison and her fiance Patrick who are getting married
- 1:21:12Speaker 12: this weekend. I am excited for you guys. I can't
- 1:21:15Speaker 12: wait to celebrate with you guys on Friday. It is
