- 0:00Speaker 1: A systems live from the Whiskey sixty one Lounge inside
- 0:03Speaker 1: the Bank plus studio, live in the studio. It's the
- 0:08Speaker 1: Show Bound streaming live worldwide on the out of Bounds.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Radio and on your radio one oh five point nine
- 0:16Speaker 2: the zone.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Mhh, I don't want to hear all that ship chat though.
- 0:42Speaker 4: We are the out of Bounds show es p N
- 0:45Speaker 4: one oh five down the zone. Uh, we're streaming live
- 0:50Speaker 4: on the out of bounds radio app. And uh we
- 0:53Speaker 4: kind of turned the page a little bit. It's the summer.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Drew Brees now Lane Kiffen has uh he has owned
- 1:02Speaker 4: that space, although Aaron Rodgers tried to grab some of
- 1:05Speaker 4: it here the last few days. But Drew Brees first
- 1:08Speaker 4: ballot Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, only seventy six
- 1:14Speaker 4: in the history of Pro football, only seventy six unreal,
- 1:21Speaker 4: and Drew Goes in as a first ballot Hall of Famer,
- 1:26Speaker 4: And of course there was never there was never any doubt.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Everything lined up right coming out of the San Diego
- 1:33Speaker 4: Chargers and the injury. Sean Payton and Drew Brees one
- 1:41Speaker 4: of the greatest duos and teams in the history of
- 1:43Speaker 4: the NFL. Multiple NFC Championships, as you know, and can
- 1:49Speaker 4: you believe this a Lombardi Trophy for New Orleans.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Unbelievable, unbelievable.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Drew's play and level headed, and you know that his
- 2:02Speaker 4: ability to lock in for hours and hours and hours
- 2:07Speaker 4: is pretty pretty incredible. You know, he's in that one
- 2:11Speaker 4: percent too as far as mentally, he could take Shawn's
- 2:15Speaker 4: coaching and and Shawn's brilliant but also crazy. You see
- 2:21Speaker 4: that all the time, regardless of discipline or you know,
- 2:24Speaker 4: space or industry, somebody who is just immensely talented, but
- 2:34Speaker 4: but you're like, whoa, there's a little bit of a
- 2:37Speaker 4: screw loose, right, that's Sean Payton. And and Drew was militaristic.
- 2:45Speaker 4: He can handle it all and he loved it. Actually,
- 2:48Speaker 4: isn't that crazy? He loved the grind when you if
- 2:52Speaker 4: you want to read the book, I would think that
- 2:55Speaker 4: you would. But in Jeff Duncan's book Peyton and Breeze,
- 3:00Speaker 4: Drew loved being there from four am to ten o'clock
- 3:04Speaker 4: at night. That's not the case with even successful people.
- 3:10Speaker 4: I mean, they may like what they write, I mean,
- 3:13Speaker 4: and they commit and they invest a lot of hours
- 3:16Speaker 4: in their trade, is that fit whatever they do, from
- 3:18Speaker 4: architecture to running an HVAC company.
- 3:22Speaker 2: But like Drew bathed in it. He loved it, the grind.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Being in the film room for hours, you're a you're
- 3:33Speaker 4: in a dark room, you're watching film or eventually video
- 3:39Speaker 4: cut ups and so on. He couldn't get enough of it.
- 3:45Speaker 4: And by the way, Sean and Drew did not watch
- 3:47Speaker 4: film together. So the first few days of every NFL
- 3:51Speaker 4: week they were split up. They did not get together,
- 3:56Speaker 4: so to speak, until Wednesday. Sean would be in with
- 4:01Speaker 4: the offensive staff and Drew would be in with him,
- 4:07Speaker 4: with Drew and whoever his two backup quarterbacks.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Work, and and and and they had already.
- 4:14Speaker 4: You know the one thing about h I think most
- 4:16Speaker 4: of you know this, the one thing about an NFL team.
- 4:19Speaker 2: That's why it's so much different than God.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Like, after their game on Sunday, they go right back
- 4:24Speaker 4: into it like college coaches do a game and then
- 4:27Speaker 4: they go home. I mean not that, not that they're not.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Most are back in the building the next morning. I
- 4:33Speaker 4: know there are some occasions where they will go back
- 4:36Speaker 4: in on a Saturday night look at something for an hour.
- 4:40Speaker 4: But in the NFL, when you're when you're done with
- 4:43Speaker 4: your game, you go straight back in going prepping for
- 4:48Speaker 4: the Bills, Chiefs, Cowboys or you know, Patriots, whatever, and
- 4:54Speaker 4: that that's the way it works. So there is no
- 4:57Speaker 4: well we played, so we'll we'll take the tonight. Let's
- 5:01Speaker 4: say you play at twelve o'clock game, you're over at three,
- 5:04Speaker 4: you don't go home. The players do well, they go
- 5:07Speaker 4: get rehabbed and try to put back together physically.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Y'all know the drill, and then and then so on.
- 5:13Speaker 4: But as you read the book and Duncan lays I
- 5:17Speaker 4: knew it was gross and a grind, but when when
- 5:21Speaker 4: he lays out the day to day, weekly schedule of
- 5:25Speaker 4: what it takes in the NFL, it's unbelievable.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Sean Payton had a John Gruden type scut. You know.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Gruden used to talk about getting there at three.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Am, which I think is maybe a little excessive, but
- 5:38Speaker 4: I think Peyton was in the building on a on
- 5:40Speaker 4: a regular basis in the four am era hour, just
- 5:44Speaker 4: to give you an idea, and.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Drew Drew never left.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Course, Peyton tells a story about Drew going through like
- 5:51Speaker 4: it's during the off season, nobody's there, and Shawn's in
- 5:53Speaker 4: the building in Metai, and I'm assuming he looks out
- 5:57Speaker 4: the wind. I haven't been there in a while, so
- 5:58Speaker 4: I and I know they've had it on to it
- 6:00Speaker 4: and so on, but I'm assuming Shawn's looking out the
- 6:04Speaker 4: window or something. In Drew Brees is the only one
- 6:06Speaker 4: on the practice field and he's going over plays against
- 6:10Speaker 4: air and no football. I don't know what month. That was,
- 6:15Speaker 4: May June before camp got together in late July. That's
- 6:22Speaker 4: Drew Brees. He he loved the military, militaristic and then
- 6:29Speaker 4: the absolute grind. I can't I bet that was a
- 6:34Speaker 4: tough transition. I can't imagine when you when so many
- 6:38Speaker 4: hours of your life day week, month are filled at
- 6:43Speaker 4: the football facility and on a very time you know,
- 6:47Speaker 4: boom boom boom schedule. Because I've always thought this when
- 6:51Speaker 4: I watch a president get in the helicopter on the
- 6:55Speaker 4: White House lawn after I don't care who it is,
- 6:59Speaker 4: after four or eight years of that kind of deal,
- 7:03Speaker 4: and what it's like to decompress, Like how crazy it's
- 7:07Speaker 4: got to be from going from the most powerful person
- 7:10Speaker 4: in the world to back to wherever you live with
- 7:12Speaker 4: only two bodyguards. You think about somebody like Drew that
- 7:16Speaker 4: that's all he ever knew from South Lake, Texas to
- 7:19Speaker 4: Purdue to the Chargers to the Saints, and the tens
- 7:24Speaker 4: of thousands of hours that he invested are hundreds of thousands,
- 7:28Speaker 4: and what it was like to wake up and not
- 7:33Speaker 4: have a full schedule. And I think it's I'm not.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Saying he's in a bad place by any stretch.
- 7:43Speaker 4: I think it was an extremely difficult transition for him.
- 7:48Speaker 2: And don't get me wrong.
- 7:49Speaker 4: As good a guys Drew is, it's still a rush
- 7:53Speaker 4: and a buzz to be QB one for an NFL
- 7:59Speaker 4: franchise for years. Oh yeah, and then you're just and
- 8:03Speaker 4: this is wonderful. But then you're just dad, and you're
- 8:06Speaker 4: you know, you're you're waking up and you're doing something
- 8:08Speaker 4: that you've met, like you're around the island at breakfast time,
- 8:12Speaker 4: which he was never and then all of a sudden,
- 8:14Speaker 4: you know, you're taking kids to school and that's great,
- 8:16Speaker 4: or your your wife say I need you to go
- 8:19Speaker 4: down to Low's and you're like, oh yeah, I can
- 8:23Speaker 4: go down to Low's. I'm not in metory in the
- 8:26Speaker 4: facility at five am in the morning. But it's just different.
- 8:32Speaker 4: He'd better not be going to load. Why get swarmed? Well,
- 8:37Speaker 4: he lives in San Diego. Oh yeah, but you I mean,
- 8:41Speaker 4: I think I don't. I think people leave it now
- 8:45Speaker 4: in New Orleans.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I don't rude. They're in a chance.
- 8:50Speaker 4: You're probably right because the majority of people down there
- 8:53Speaker 4: are crazy. Yeah, and social cues aren't really no, no, no, no, right, yeah,
- 9:01Speaker 4: that's right. That's a good point.
- 9:03Speaker 2: That's they're a little different. That's a good point. All right.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Hey, you can get in touch with us on the
- 9:07Speaker 4: Dancing Rabbit Golf text line six to oh one eight
- 9:11Speaker 4: eight five three, seven seven six, find us on x
- 9:17Speaker 4: at Bow Bounds and uh oh man the winning combo
- 9:22Speaker 4: michelob Ultra and Wings, the michelob Ultra Superior Light Beer
- 9:27Speaker 4: collar line of six to oh one seven zero, seven
- 9:31Speaker 4: thirty seven fifty. Todd Sandridge with Superior Foundation, and also
- 9:37Speaker 4: the town of Livingston will join us at eight thirty
- 9:41Speaker 4: looking forward to that.
- 9:42Speaker 2: We'll get an update again.
- 9:45Speaker 4: We told you Martin's and Livingston has expanded, which is awesome.
- 9:48Speaker 4: And then Steve Palizzolo on the NFL at noine thirty.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Guys, I don't have time for that's back, all right.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Good morning, Welcome into the Out of Bounds Show ESPN
- 11:06Speaker 4: one oh five nine The Zone and we're live in
- 11:10Speaker 4: the Bank Plus Studio. The show is brought to you
- 11:13Speaker 4: by the Wings in Stellar Artwad Martin's and Livingston. Martin's
- 11:18Speaker 4: just expanded. Have you been out there? It looks great.
- 11:21Speaker 4: I was there last night and Joseph did a great job.
- 11:26Speaker 4: He's got seven one hundred inch TVs out there in
- 11:31Speaker 4: the new expansion, plus he extended the bar and then
- 11:35Speaker 4: he still got an out outside.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Area and it looks great.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Game Day is going to be a ton of fun
- 11:41Speaker 4: there and they're gonna do the the Tito's, Bloody Mary's,
- 11:44Speaker 4: and Mimosas on Saturday and Sunday for Game Day when
- 11:48Speaker 4: you're not in Starbull or Oxford or Hattisburg or wherever
- 11:51Speaker 4: you go on the weekends. I know a lot of
- 11:53Speaker 4: you go to Tuscaloosa and Baton Rouge too, so that's fun.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Some of you have asked me who I liked to
- 12:00Speaker 4: win the SEC. You know, I think handicapping prior to
- 12:03Speaker 4: the portal was really difficult. Now I think it's impossible
- 12:08Speaker 4: trying to figure out who's got what on the roster.
- 12:10Speaker 4: But I'm gonna go Georgia. And then I think it's
- 12:13Speaker 4: a cluster of teams LSU, Ole Miss and Texas and Bama.
- 12:20Speaker 4: I wouldn't even call them tier two, kind of Tier
- 12:23Speaker 4: one A Georgia one.
- 12:25Speaker 2: And Gunner Stockton may not be he may.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Not be good enough, but last year was his first
- 12:30Speaker 4: year to start. So I like to see guys start
- 12:35Speaker 4: two years before I, you know, just set because we
- 12:38Speaker 4: like to all say, well, he's not't good. Well, all
- 12:41Speaker 4: these guys are good because they're playing in the SEC.
- 12:43Speaker 2: It's just a matter of how good they are. And
- 12:47Speaker 2: then you've got the next group of teams. You know.
- 12:50Speaker 4: I think Florida could knock on the door of that
- 12:53Speaker 4: second tier at times this year, maybe not consistently for
- 12:56Speaker 4: three months.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Oh what's that mean?
- 12:58Speaker 3: Though?
- 12:58Speaker 2: What's knock on the door mean? Win a bunch of games?
- 13:01Speaker 4: And also they could be the spoiler, So like, look,
- 13:04Speaker 4: Ole Miss has to watch ole Miss plays LSU at
- 13:07Speaker 4: home and win or lose. They have to get up
- 13:09Speaker 4: from that emotional game and go to Gainesville the next week.
- 13:13Speaker 4: That's not going and it's not gonna be easy for
- 13:16Speaker 4: LSU coming out of that game and play in A
- 13:20Speaker 4: and M the next week because of all the emotions,
- 13:24Speaker 4: not just physically but mentally going in to that game.
- 13:28Speaker 4: What Jake Thompson tell us the other day that that's
- 13:29Speaker 4: going to be his biggest coaching challenge this year is
- 13:33Speaker 4: getting goldings.
- 13:34Speaker 2: It's getting back up for that game.
- 13:35Speaker 4: That's right, that next game, that's right, because you're literally
- 13:37Speaker 4: about to be spin yes, and looking here at the schedule.
- 13:43Speaker 4: As I said, Ole Miss has to go to Florida.
- 13:47Speaker 4: LSU will host A and M a little bit better
- 13:50Speaker 4: in Baton Rouge, but still you got to get up
- 13:53Speaker 4: and get ready because those are two physical teams. You
- 13:55Speaker 4: know what, I may should put A and M. Don't
- 14:00Speaker 4: love what Elko did losing his coordinators and basically promoting
- 14:06Speaker 4: from within, but man, they've recruited well, they have dudes
- 14:12Speaker 4: for sure, and.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Lords go win non ball games.
- 14:20Speaker 4: I do like their schedule, and I like the fact
- 14:22Speaker 4: that for the first time in years they get two
- 14:25Speaker 4: games to get warmed up. Yeah, they've been coming out
- 14:28Speaker 4: of the gate and playing Utah and teams like that.
- 14:31Speaker 4: It hasn't worked out for them.
- 14:33Speaker 2: This year.
- 14:33Speaker 4: They played Florida Atlantic and Campbell Campbell, Yeah, before going
- 14:37Speaker 4: to Auburn and then hosting.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Ole miss What are the camp Do you know what
- 14:40Speaker 2: Campbell is?
- 14:42Speaker 4: I should because they played the Mississippi State Regional in
- 14:45Speaker 4: twenty twenty one before MSU went on to win win
- 14:48Speaker 4: the national championship. I think they did because then I
- 14:51Speaker 4: think Mississippi State grabbed a player from there. I can't
- 14:53Speaker 4: remember his name, but he started for him.
- 14:55Speaker 2: What are they?
- 14:55Speaker 4: The Campbell Friars fighting Campbell's the fighting Campbell's. That's incredible.
- 15:02Speaker 4: That's pretty good, that Campbell. Wonder what that mascot's like.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Wonder how many people they draw on a home football game?
- 15:09Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 15:10Speaker 4: I mean, what do you think of over under? I mean,
- 15:14Speaker 4: I'm gonna go fourteen hundred? Is that too high? I
- 15:19Speaker 4: don't know where are they in? They're one of those
- 15:21Speaker 4: South Carolina North Carolina schools, Tennessee North Carolina school Yes
- 15:26Speaker 4: they are?
- 15:26Speaker 2: Yes?
- 15:28Speaker 4: What what city or town is Campbell in Bowie's Creek?
- 15:35Speaker 4: I don't know that North Carolina. I don't know the capacity?
- 15:39Speaker 4: Sixty two hundred? Do you think I'm high on fourteen
- 15:43Speaker 4: hundred average?
- 15:44Speaker 2: Okay? Would you go under a thousand or away under? Okay?
- 15:49Speaker 2: I hope I'm wrong, but we'll uh see.
- 15:52Speaker 4: I envision those people just kind of walk out to
- 15:54Speaker 4: the field with the Tito's bloody Mary about eleven am.
- 15:57Speaker 2: There's not any tailgiging.
- 15:58Speaker 4: There doesn't need to be, and there's just you know,
- 16:02Speaker 4: a nice little small stadium and you can it's just peaceful,
- 16:06Speaker 4: probably quiet pre game.
- 16:08Speaker 2: You may have how many people you think you have
- 16:10Speaker 2: in the band? Twelve? Oh man? And my wrong, what
- 16:14Speaker 2: do they pull? They're putting fifty five hundred in there.
- 16:16Speaker 2: They're putting forty two to fifty five hundred.
- 16:18Speaker 4: Yeah, so that's the number they're releasing. Yeah, that's yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 16:22Speaker 4: And maybe they are, maybe they are, But well, I mean,
- 16:25Speaker 4: if you're gonna be look, if you're going to have
- 16:27Speaker 4: the stones to put that number out there, you better
- 16:28Speaker 4: at least.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Draw three thousand. I'm with you. If you got forty
- 16:31Speaker 2: two orders, if you're claiming forty two, you better at
- 16:33Speaker 2: least have three. Yeah. So I mean, if they can
- 16:36Speaker 2: pull half of that, that's pretty good. So let's go back.
- 16:38Speaker 2: I got Georgia.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Then I got the as number one, all right, I
- 16:43Speaker 4: got the one A tier yes, all right, So that
- 16:47Speaker 4: is LSU no particular order, okay, lsu Ole Miss Bama
- 16:53Speaker 4: and Texas.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Am I miss it? Should I put A and M?
- 16:58Speaker 2: Or Tenant? You know who?
- 16:58Speaker 4: We're sleeping on his A and M in Tennessee because
- 17:02Speaker 4: of Lane and Kirby and they, you know again, they
- 17:07Speaker 4: dominate the headlines and Bama has been kind of quiet, right,
- 17:12Speaker 4: that'd be the one to be worried about. I mean,
- 17:15Speaker 4: hypel and what are they really going to do? They
- 17:18Speaker 4: can make the pressure of the playoff. They're gonna lose again?
- 17:20Speaker 2: No, I do well, maybe, but he's done a good job,
- 17:23Speaker 2: he is.
- 17:24Speaker 4: I know that they're they're crazy like other SEC schools,
- 17:28Speaker 4: and they're they're talking about how they can do better.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Tell me, tell me? Oh yeah.
- 17:33Speaker 4: They started that talk late last year after he went
- 17:35Speaker 4: to the college football playoffs two years ago. My question
- 17:40Speaker 4: would be, who are you going to let me tell
- 17:42Speaker 4: you what Penn State just did so that you can
- 17:43Speaker 4: understand who you are and that's whoever whatever program you you.
- 17:49Speaker 4: Penn State let go of James Franklin to hire Matt Campbell,
- 17:54Speaker 4: who most people don't know who he is. He was
- 17:55Speaker 4: at Iowa State. My point in that is, is Matt
- 17:58Speaker 4: a good coach? Absolutely, But it's not like they went
- 18:01Speaker 4: and hired Kirby Smart or Lane Kiffin or Ron Day
- 18:07Speaker 4: or you know, Signetti just got hot like five minutes ago.
- 18:12Speaker 2: So that's a little bit different deal. The Michigan hires
- 18:15Speaker 2: a different deal.
- 18:16Speaker 4: The Michigan hire we didn't know that there was going
- 18:18Speaker 4: to be a scandal, so we didn't know it was
- 18:20Speaker 4: going to open. And then when Kyle Whittingham retired from
- 18:25Speaker 4: a great career at Utah, it was a perfect time
- 18:28Speaker 4: to grab him, and I think he'll do a really
- 18:30Speaker 4: good job.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Perfect story for a few years happened.
- 18:33Speaker 4: But just to give you an idea, Penn State is
- 18:36Speaker 4: a massive, monster university with hundreds of thousands of alums,
- 18:41Speaker 4: and they've averaged about ten wins a year with James Franklin.
- 18:45Speaker 4: And when they let him go and paid him a fortune,
- 18:47Speaker 4: they hired Matt Campbell, who's probably going to be five hundred. No, No,
- 18:55Speaker 4: that busy. I don't know what to do with you.
- 19:01Speaker 4: All Right, Todd Sandridge is with us. We're gonna hang out.
- 19:04Speaker 4: We're gonna talk about well, speaking of the town of
- 19:06Speaker 4: Livingston and what's going on, Superior Foundation, maybe even Crosstown.
- 19:11Speaker 4: I think they're moving dirt out there on some zero
- 19:14Speaker 4: lot homes that we're gonna have to talk about. So
- 19:17Speaker 4: if you're looking for a new place, you want to
- 19:20Speaker 4: be able to walk over to the market or a restaurant,
- 19:23Speaker 4: bar and grill, any number of places, then you'll want
- 19:27Speaker 4: to take a look at the town of Livingston. Todd
- 19:30Speaker 4: Sandridge will join us coming up next on ESPN one
- 19:34Speaker 4: oh five nine The Zone. We are the Out of
- 19:36Speaker 4: Bounds Show, and I do have to give a shout out.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Lunch today is brought to you by Taste Italian Kitchen
- 19:43Speaker 4: and the Renaissance Taste Italian Kitchen dot Com.
- 20:32Speaker 1: I don't want to hear all that you've got.
- 20:34Speaker 4: Hey, Hey, good morning, Welcome into the Out of Bounds Show,
- 20:39Speaker 4: ESPN one five nine The Zone. Our show is brought
- 20:44Speaker 4: to you by Superior Foundation. Todd Sandridge and Trey Pace
- 20:48Speaker 4: will take care of your home Superior dot MS. We're
- 20:51Speaker 4: talking about foundation repair, drainage solutions. They do driveways, parking lots,
- 20:58Speaker 4: residential and commercial project X and that's Superior MS. And
- 21:05Speaker 4: now they have balked the town of Livingston, which is
- 21:09Speaker 4: super cool. When we mentioned Martin's and Livingston, Joseph's been
- 21:12Speaker 4: a great partner.
- 21:13Speaker 2: He used to be my co host.
- 21:14Speaker 4: How about that one hundred years ago in two thousand
- 21:17Speaker 4: and four, Joseph Stodgell was my co host, and then
- 21:20Speaker 4: we reunite years later, which was really really cool. He
- 21:24Speaker 4: just expanded Martin's in Livingston. It looks great. It's gonna
- 21:28Speaker 4: be an awesome place for game day. And Todd Sandridge
- 21:31Speaker 4: and Trey Pace and their team are about to put
- 21:35Speaker 4: some lighter fluid in a good way on the town
- 21:37Speaker 4: of Livingston.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Todd, good morning. How you going, buddy man. I'm glad
- 21:41Speaker 1: to be here. It's great. I love good, good Friday,
- 21:44Speaker 1: whether it's not too hot today.
- 21:45Speaker 2: I like that rain that came in yesterday for a minute.
- 21:48Speaker 2: How's your family? They're great.
- 21:50Speaker 1: We are running wide open falls busy in the Sandrid's household.
- 21:54Speaker 4: I can only image You've got you got people playing
- 21:57Speaker 4: ball down in South Mississippi. You still you got Caine
- 22:01Speaker 4: at Jackson Press, and so you're going all over the world.
- 22:04Speaker 1: We're going everywhere, and going to a wedding in Memphis
- 22:07Speaker 1: this weekend for my oldest daughter.
- 22:09Speaker 2: She's in it.
- 22:09Speaker 1: So yeah, the fall will be crazy for us. My
- 22:12Speaker 1: wife's coaching volleyball and Jackson prepaying football there and then
- 22:16Speaker 1: Our middle daughter, c The will be playing her first
- 22:19Speaker 1: season at Jones College this year in volleyball.
- 22:21Speaker 2: So how excited are you about that? Man?
- 22:23Speaker 1: First of all, I love girls volleyball. Sure, you know,
- 22:25Speaker 1: I love baseball. I love football. You know, basketball is okay.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. Volleyball is the most fun
- 22:33Speaker 1: sport out there. It's the most fast paced and I
- 22:35Speaker 1: love it so and the growth it's growing like crazy.
- 22:39Speaker 1: It is the number one sport, not just female, number
- 22:42Speaker 1: one sport in the United States and Mississippi in growth.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Wow.
- 22:47Speaker 1: And I think when you watch and you really get
- 22:49Speaker 1: to understand it and you figure it out, you understand
- 22:51Speaker 1: why it is growing like that. You know, it's so
- 22:54Speaker 1: much faster, say than girls softball or basketball, and but
- 22:58Speaker 1: it's fun.
- 22:59Speaker 2: So yeah.
- 23:00Speaker 1: So you know, Monday and Wednesday nights, I'll be following
- 23:02Speaker 1: Jones College, you know, somewhere in Mississippi, you know, driving there.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Tuesday and Thursday I'll be chasing my wife's team and
- 23:07Speaker 1: Jackson PREPD volleyball.
- 23:08Speaker 2: And then Friday nights I'll be watching.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Game play football and hopefully get to Oshfort and see
- 23:12Speaker 1: my oldest daughter.
- 23:12Speaker 2: At some point.
- 23:13Speaker 4: You get I think you get the Sports Trophy for
- 23:16Speaker 4: the fall of twenty twenty six.
- 23:18Speaker 1: It's going to be busy, and you know within that,
- 23:21Speaker 1: you know, I got to figure out how to work
- 23:23Speaker 1: ten hours a day.
- 23:23Speaker 2: And that's right, figure it out out right.
- 23:25Speaker 4: So speaking of Todd Sandridge, Superior Foundation and Town of Livingston,
- 23:30Speaker 4: so y'all decided this a beautiful.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Piece of property. Man's gorgeous.
- 23:35Speaker 4: Okay, four sixty three and twenty two meet and it's
- 23:39Speaker 4: got everything that you need. So walk us through kind
- 23:42Speaker 4: of phase one in the next three or four months.
- 23:46Speaker 1: When know what happened, I'd like to think, you know,
- 23:48Speaker 1: bo I mean it is. I will say this and
- 23:51Speaker 1: I've always said this. It is the most beautiful piece
- 23:54Speaker 1: of property in Madison County. And there's a lot of
- 23:55Speaker 1: pretty property. So it's not like everything else is desolate.
- 23:59Speaker 1: It's just it's beautiful where it sits. There's a tremendous
- 24:02Speaker 1: amount of history there. It actually was, you know, the
- 24:05Speaker 1: first county seat in the County of Madison and only
- 24:09Speaker 1: to be left stranded by the railroad. But you know,
- 24:15Speaker 1: the original developers had a good really really conceptually they
- 24:18Speaker 1: did a good job of kind of trying to bring
- 24:21Speaker 1: that back to life. Obviously, sometimes, as we know in partnerships,
- 24:25Speaker 1: things don't always work out. But you know, we we
- 24:29Speaker 1: we definitely grabbed hold of their vision and and and
- 24:32Speaker 1: expanded it a bit.
- 24:33Speaker 2: And I think it's fun. You know.
- 24:35Speaker 1: One of the one of the problems that we have
- 24:37Speaker 1: right now is a great problem, and that is we
- 24:39Speaker 1: don't have any more space.
- 24:41Speaker 2: I have people calling.
- 24:42Speaker 1: I just actually was answering an email off air a
- 24:45Speaker 1: minute ago about somebody who's wanting to move a store here.
- 24:48Speaker 2: I don't have the space. We do.
- 24:49Speaker 1: However, have you know almost thirty thousand feet of commercial
- 24:52Speaker 1: space coming? Okay, so so thirty thousand feet, yes, commercial
- 24:56Speaker 1: space feet are coming in the next twenty four months. Yes,
- 24:59Speaker 1: and with and likely in the next eighteen months. We're
- 25:02Speaker 1: waiting on a few engineers here and there. And it's
- 25:05Speaker 1: also exciting because the idea of those type developments is
- 25:08Speaker 1: also combining the commercial and the residential comproce and the
- 25:11Speaker 1: lifestyle component of it. Frankly, when those two meet, and
- 25:14Speaker 1: that's what's nice. We're about to start twenty six residential homes.
- 25:18Speaker 1: It's been approved by the County of Minus and we've
- 25:20Speaker 1: been waiting on m DOT for our interests all for
- 25:23Speaker 1: sixty three and that changes engineering. A lot of people go, man,
- 25:26Speaker 1: what's all the weight? But you know, you know where
- 25:30Speaker 1: they determine where that entrance is is how you know,
- 25:32Speaker 1: we determine what our elevation and scale is. So you
- 25:34Speaker 1: can't finish engineering. So we've got about two or three
- 25:36Speaker 1: weeks left on that. I'm holding my engineer, you know,
- 25:39Speaker 1: calling him daily.
- 25:40Speaker 2: He's sharing mind at me.
- 25:41Speaker 1: But as soon as we finish that, we'll be able
- 25:42Speaker 1: to start cutting roads in I think in the next
- 25:44Speaker 1: thirty days and and we'll we'll be going vertical on
- 25:48Speaker 1: residential this year in twenty twenty two.
- 25:50Speaker 4: Hearing football season. Absolutely all right, show you're looking. We're
- 25:53Speaker 4: visiting with Todd Sandridge, Town of Livingston and Superior Foundation
- 25:58Speaker 4: on ESPN one oh five on the zone. So you
- 26:01Speaker 4: got thirty thousand square feet of commercial space coming and
- 26:05Speaker 4: the first phase I think what you told me Todd
- 26:08Speaker 4: is twenty six zero lotline homes that town of Livingston yep, okay, yep.
- 26:12Speaker 2: And you know which is.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Exciting it is And if you you know, you think
- 26:15Speaker 1: about some good developments here and T and D communities
- 26:17Speaker 1: are popping up everywhere. Not a ton in the South
- 26:20Speaker 1: or even the Deep South. But you've got stuff like
- 26:22Speaker 1: the township on Holland Colony, the village at Minus in
- 26:26Speaker 1: over there. Sure, and and there are a few I mean,
- 26:29Speaker 1: there's a couple of Brandon that are similar. But at
- 26:32Speaker 1: the end of the day, it's it's really the lifestyle
- 26:34Speaker 1: component of the live work lifestyle, and you know, it's
- 26:39Speaker 1: a neat deal. We've had some cool We developed a
- 26:42Speaker 1: low area behind a dam and kind of a mini amphitheater.
- 26:46Speaker 1: We had four shows out there and Jackson pointed out out,
- 26:49Speaker 1: I mean, they were full and they were fun.
- 26:50Speaker 2: We had a good time.
- 26:52Speaker 1: People could rather golf cart or the side by side
- 26:54Speaker 1: over or they came. We had plenty of parking for
- 26:56Speaker 1: everybody else and that's.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Only going to expand.
- 27:00Speaker 1: And we're gonna do some cool things too this year
- 27:02Speaker 1: on the square, and we're talking about possibly doing you know,
- 27:06Speaker 1: if if the Big three are out of town, we
- 27:08Speaker 1: might throw something on a big screen in the Square
- 27:11Speaker 1: at Levingston and be able to celebrate with all the
- 27:13Speaker 1: all the folks out there that that make Livingston great too.
- 27:16Speaker 1: You mentioned Martin's and there's a lot of other good
- 27:19Speaker 1: you know stores out there and there'll be more. You know,
- 27:21Speaker 1: there's a new coffee shop, which is great. You've got
- 27:23Speaker 1: the b You've got Mexican restaurants, You've got a lot
- 27:26Speaker 1: of good retail and stuff like that.
- 27:27Speaker 2: So we'll be able to celebrate with everybody. Right.
- 27:31Speaker 4: And last night I was there, it was packed, right,
- 27:34Speaker 4: so think about that. It's a Thursday night in the summer. Yeah,
- 27:38Speaker 4: it was packed.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Yeah, school started fight, that was a band.
- 27:41Speaker 4: I mean, it was just a great night to be
- 27:42Speaker 4: at Martin's and Livingston. So what you're saying is there
- 27:44Speaker 4: the demand is there? Yes, for people to celebrate and
- 27:48Speaker 4: either live or go and and enjoy the restaurants or
- 27:52Speaker 4: coffee shops and and like you said, the four shows
- 27:55Speaker 4: that y'all did in that cool little amphitheater that y'all created.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Well, we're working on training, are working on some plans
- 28:01Speaker 1: right now to do to do a a larger event
- 28:05Speaker 1: venue in the town. We also have the Inn at
- 28:09Speaker 1: Livingston coming, so we'll have and it'll be a really
- 28:12Speaker 1: high end.
- 28:15Speaker 2: End that you can go.
- 28:16Speaker 1: You know, and I think we need that. I think
- 28:18Speaker 1: we need something other than just you know, the hotel. Right,
- 28:22Speaker 1: You've got a lot of executives that come in and out,
- 28:24Speaker 1: particularly with some of these Amazon plants and Nissan plants,
- 28:26Speaker 1: things like that.
- 28:28Speaker 2: You know, lawyers, you.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Know all those people, and and and it has an
- 28:31Speaker 1: opportunity to come in and have that little home feel,
- 28:35Speaker 1: but in a really highly decorated, nice room.
- 28:37Speaker 2: So so this will be like a boutique.
- 28:39Speaker 1: It will it'll be a boutique hotel and it's there's
- 28:42Speaker 1: not gonna be an attendant and all that.
- 28:43Speaker 2: You go eat, you go down.
- 28:45Speaker 1: You know, you can grab dinner at Martin's, you can
- 28:47Speaker 1: go grab a couple of coffee at the coffee shop
- 28:49Speaker 1: in the morning, and and and and breakfast. So the
- 28:52Speaker 1: idea is and a lot of us have been to
- 28:55Speaker 1: the coastal areas where you know, you go in, you
- 28:57Speaker 1: check in with a code, there's no attendant, there's no nothing.
- 28:59Speaker 1: So uh and and really have that boutique in feel.
- 29:02Speaker 1: That'd be great. I're excited about that and that that'll
- 29:05Speaker 1: be within the next eighteen months.
- 29:06Speaker 4: Okay, Todd Sandridge, Town of Livingston and Superior Foundation on
- 29:11Speaker 4: the out of Crosstown Builders is also in this. Ye
- 29:15Speaker 4: you and Tray have on that for twenty years and
- 29:18Speaker 4: then you rolled out Superior Foundation fifteen years ago.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Close and man, I'll tell you that's that I find
- 29:24Speaker 1: myself doing that more and more now.
- 29:26Speaker 2: You know.
- 29:26Speaker 1: I'm thankful for all the great customers that we have,
- 29:30Speaker 1: the corners we have in real estate and engineers and
- 29:33Speaker 1: things like that that really trust us. And I've got
- 29:36Speaker 1: we've got great staff. We've got good people that are trustworthy,
- 29:40Speaker 1: that hold the same integrity line and standard that we do.
- 29:44Speaker 1: I think people notice that, and it is it. It's
- 29:47Speaker 1: just been a tenfold blessing in that business.
- 29:50Speaker 4: Todd Sandridge on the Out of Bounds Show, one thing
- 29:52Speaker 4: that you said is you and Trey and so many
- 29:55Speaker 4: others want the town of Livingston to be a destination.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Yes, yes, that's what you just described, you know, and
- 30:02Speaker 1: it's food. I want a food destination. We're talking to
- 30:04Speaker 1: some other restaurants as we speak. I want it to
- 30:07Speaker 1: be a boutique, you know, a destination for clothing, both men's,
- 30:11Speaker 1: women's children. We're talking to several retailers like that. I
- 30:15Speaker 1: want to, you know, I want a woman's spy. We
- 30:18Speaker 1: already have a great place for us men to go
- 30:20Speaker 1: and and enjoy a beer trim or a haircut, a
- 30:23Speaker 1: noble barber and Lantis Noble. I mean, first of all,
- 30:25Speaker 1: if you don't know Lanta's Noble, you're missing out right.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Dude's just awesome. Yeah, great guy, and I like him
- 30:31Speaker 1: a lot. He's just a good person. He has a
- 30:34Speaker 1: lot of antique car shows out there. He's big on
- 30:36Speaker 1: antique cars. And when he has the next one, jump
- 30:39Speaker 1: out there on a Saturday morning and have some coffee
- 30:41Speaker 1: and donuts with him because it's a lot of fun.
- 30:43Speaker 2: I love it.
- 30:44Speaker 4: Todd Sandridge on the Out of Bounds Show ESPN one
- 30:48Speaker 4: five down the zone. So let's recap again. You're gonna
- 30:51Speaker 4: have thirty thousand square feet of commercial space in the
- 30:55Speaker 4: next eighteen months are set, and then you're gonna have
- 30:58Speaker 4: twenty six zero lightline homes in the next and we'll
- 31:02Speaker 4: have a total bow of seventy four when we get finished. Okay,
- 31:05Speaker 4: we're gonna start with twenty six. I don't think that's
- 31:08Speaker 4: gonna be enough with the amount of people that have
- 31:09Speaker 4: called me, so we'll jump right into phase two and
- 31:13Speaker 4: three pretty quick.
- 31:14Speaker 2: I'm sure that's.
- 31:16Speaker 4: You love all that design style, and I love it.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Do you know what y'all are gonna do? As far
- 31:22Speaker 4: as how do I say this the look or the
- 31:24Speaker 4: architecture of the homes.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I think you're going to see a lot bow
- 31:27Speaker 1: of craftsman style. I mean, the idea of the town
- 31:30Speaker 1: of Livingston is you know, and there's some oversight there
- 31:34Speaker 1: with an MLHPD Madison Livingston Historical Preservation District, which I like,
- 31:40Speaker 1: you know, listen, the thing is is we're trying to
- 31:42Speaker 1: you know, restore that kind of historical lure.
- 31:44Speaker 2: So we'll have a lot of craftsman style, a lot of.
- 31:47Speaker 1: You know, front yard fences, you know, good old neighbor
- 31:52Speaker 1: come down sidewalks. It's just you know, it's gonna feel
- 31:56Speaker 1: like a good home, old hometown and I love that.
- 31:59Speaker 1: You know, you're gonna park in the rear alley, so again,
- 32:02Speaker 1: you know, similar to some of the that's cool that
- 32:04Speaker 1: that you know, Lost Rabbit and the Village that might's
- 32:06Speaker 1: in the township places like that. So so with that,
- 32:10Speaker 1: a lot of people wonder why you do that. With that,
- 32:13Speaker 1: what you do is you're so inclusive on that front door,
- 32:15Speaker 1: that front porch.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Yeah, So so it's a lot of front porchs hanging out.
- 32:19Speaker 1: If you drive through the township in the afternoon, that's
- 32:21Speaker 1: you know, encourage you to do that.
- 32:22Speaker 2: At five thirty or sis, you're gonna see.
- 32:23Speaker 1: A lot of neighbors and they're just all sit down
- 32:24Speaker 1: there front absolutely and people walking around. They're walking dogs,
- 32:28Speaker 1: walking their kids and having a glass of wine. That's right, man,
- 32:30Speaker 1: they're having a cocktail on the porch, or or they're
- 32:32Speaker 1: taking a run around the block.
- 32:33Speaker 2: You know. Okay, do you and Trey know yet? The
- 32:37Speaker 2: average square footage roughly of the of the home. So
- 32:41Speaker 2: it's you know, interesting in a development like that boat.
- 32:43Speaker 1: You know, you can usually pinpoint that in most developments,
- 32:46Speaker 1: and something like this, you're gonna get so much. You've
- 32:48Speaker 1: got a lot of people that are maybe living in
- 32:50Speaker 1: a big house somewhere they want to downside sure, and
- 32:53Speaker 1: then you've got a lot of young professionals that maybe
- 32:56Speaker 1: want something super nice but not super big. So my
- 32:59Speaker 1: guess is you're probably gonna average around, you know, twenty
- 33:03Speaker 1: eight hundred to thirty two hundred. I think you're gonna
- 33:06Speaker 1: see some forty five forty eight hundreds, and I think
- 33:08Speaker 1: you're gonna see some twenty six hundreds. But at the
- 33:10Speaker 1: end of the day, you know, the idea is everybody's
- 33:14Speaker 1: house will look nice because I am the Architectural View Committee,
- 33:16Speaker 1: and they're gonna be They're gonna be great both inside,
- 33:19Speaker 1: you know, you know, or the outside, and we're gonna
- 33:21Speaker 1: encourage everybody obviously to really really dance them up. But uh,
- 33:24Speaker 1: the cool thing is too And I want to point
- 33:26Speaker 1: this out because I did this in one of my
- 33:27Speaker 1: developments in Starville, and that is, you know, we're gonna
- 33:30Speaker 1: include you know, yard maintenance and things like that within
- 33:32Speaker 1: your homeowners dues, so everybody's yard gets cut at the
- 33:36Speaker 1: same time, they get edged and blown off and all that.
- 33:39Speaker 2: At the same time.
- 33:41Speaker 1: We're also actually at thinking about and contemplating adding a
- 33:45Speaker 1: few other maintenance things like a house cleaning once a
- 33:47Speaker 1: year and stuff like that. But but the idea is
- 33:50Speaker 1: to make sure that everybody lives in a community where
- 33:52Speaker 1: it's neighborly, nobody's mad at each other.
- 33:54Speaker 2: And I'll tell you the idea.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Came to us for that neighborhood of Starble and Portico
- 33:59Speaker 1: and bo you're right by well run. I still get
- 34:02Speaker 1: calls from people who have maybe bought a second or
- 34:05Speaker 1: third home in there and going, man, I'm so glad
- 34:06Speaker 1: you did that, Like what a great concept to put
- 34:09Speaker 1: that in and and so I've already told people about
- 34:13Speaker 1: this and they're all fired up about it.
- 34:14Speaker 2: So those are some of the cool things that I
- 34:16Speaker 2: think you'll find.
- 34:17Speaker 4: It'll be more neighborly, thirty thousand square feet coming to
- 34:20Speaker 4: a commercial space, coming to the town of Livingston. You
- 34:24Speaker 4: have a boutique hotel, you'll have more retail and restaurants,
- 34:29Speaker 4: and Tied and Tray are gonna start off with twenty
- 34:32Speaker 4: six homes, zero light line, which Tide just walks you through,
- 34:36Speaker 4: and then probably end up with seventy four. Yeah, by
- 34:39Speaker 4: the end of the whole deal.
- 34:40Speaker 2: And we'll put it.
- 34:41Speaker 1: You know, I'm putting together a builders guild now of
- 34:45Speaker 1: some really you know, really good builders who are high end,
- 34:48Speaker 1: have integrity that people can choose from on that builder's
- 34:51Speaker 1: guild and they can walk through and say, okay, I
- 34:53Speaker 1: want that person to that first. Certainly we'll do a
- 34:55Speaker 1: few in there as well, but really encouraging that as well.
- 35:00Speaker 1: There's there's different styles, different you know, creative styles in there,
- 35:03Speaker 1: and I think it's gonna be nice for everybody.
- 35:05Speaker 4: Were you all surprised at how many people showed up
- 35:08Speaker 4: for the four shows and the ampitheater out of town
- 35:11Speaker 4: and Lynch.
- 35:12Speaker 1: I gotta tell you yes, I mean, you know, and
- 35:14Speaker 1: and you know we were doing this and and just
- 35:17Speaker 1: trying it out and you you've got to figure it out.
- 35:19Speaker 2: You've got to figure out what we have.
- 35:21Speaker 1: And uh and uh we partnered with with your friend
- 35:25Speaker 1: Joseph Stodge, Well, my friend. He and I've got to
- 35:27Speaker 1: be good friends. I really like the gay But we
- 35:29Speaker 1: partnered with them. He's done a lot of live music
- 35:32Speaker 1: and things like that. And but but you know, neither
- 35:34Speaker 1: one of us, you know, looked at each other and
- 35:36Speaker 1: knew how to how to figure out what we had
- 35:38Speaker 1: right in you're in the Spring Summer area. Our last
- 35:42Speaker 1: shows were in May. But I got to tell you, man,
- 35:45Speaker 1: we were so pumped so and it had like over
- 35:48Speaker 1: seven hundred people for some and we averaged about seven
- 35:51Speaker 1: hundred per show and the and and four shows. And
- 35:54Speaker 1: the cool thing was is when the people walked out,
- 35:56Speaker 1: and there was a couple of shows that Joseph and
- 35:58Speaker 1: I would be standing out talking kind of as people
- 36:00Speaker 1: were leaving, and they were just they were hugging us
- 36:03Speaker 1: and going high five on us. And man, we're so
- 36:05Speaker 1: glad this is here, and so we're super excited about
- 36:08Speaker 1: doing some more of that in twenty twenty.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Seven, and that's the perfect time to do that is
- 36:14Speaker 4: September October through back.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Well, you know, you compete with football, and Joseph and I,
- 36:18Speaker 1: you know, we talked through that a little bit. We
- 36:20Speaker 1: are going to probably try to throw some football in there,
- 36:23Speaker 1: but look, we're in the deep South man Friday nights
- 36:25Speaker 1: or high school football on saturdays for college football. But
- 36:27Speaker 1: what we are going to do is probably expand that
- 36:29Speaker 1: in the spring a little bit. Okay, summertime in Jackson,
- 36:32Speaker 1: Mississippi's pretty dog oh lot, and when the sun goes
- 36:35Speaker 1: down at eight forty five, you know, and you've got
- 36:37Speaker 1: to be done around ten, right, because we got residential
- 36:40Speaker 1: around there, so sure, you know, the summertime, I think
- 36:42Speaker 1: it's a good tough Yeah, so we're contemplating maybe doing
- 36:45Speaker 1: one or two in the fall.
- 36:46Speaker 4: But okay, yeah, well, when you do four shows and
- 36:50Speaker 4: you have over seven hundred people on average plus show up,
- 36:55Speaker 4: then the demands there, you know.
- 36:57Speaker 1: And it was fun to see that people drive over
- 36:59Speaker 1: from you know, on their cart the other side by
- 37:01Speaker 1: side from Chestnut Hill right right, and that's a good
- 37:04Speaker 1: night for them. And as we get people in the
- 37:06Speaker 1: residential area of the town of Livingston and they can
- 37:09Speaker 1: walk over or they can ride a golf court over.
- 37:11Speaker 1: And that's the type of fun and lifestyle that we're
- 37:13Speaker 1: trying to create there and destination.
- 37:14Speaker 4: As you said, Todd Sandridge, talking about the town of Livingstone,
- 37:19Speaker 4: things are happening. And we've got thirty thousand square feet
- 37:22Speaker 4: of commercial space coming and twenty six zero lot line
- 37:26Speaker 4: homes with seventy four on the way, boutique hotel, a
- 37:29Speaker 4: bunch of other retail and restaurants and so on. Let's
- 37:33Speaker 4: go to Superior Foundation before before you go to Haddisburg
- 37:38Speaker 4: to watch your daughter play volleyball, which is awesome. So
- 37:42Speaker 4: we've talked to you about this. You and trace all
- 37:45Speaker 4: the demand. Yeah, your local, your work comes with a warranty.
- 37:49Speaker 4: And so Superior died in mass A. What do homeowners
- 37:53Speaker 4: miss until it's too late or until they're in a pitch?
- 37:58Speaker 2: Yeah, Todd, it's a.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Good point, and I'm glad you said that because the
- 38:02Speaker 1: reason we started Superior Foundation Services is because of other
- 38:06Speaker 1: people not warranting, right, And I got to be honest
- 38:09Speaker 1: with you, as a man who you know, has trouble
- 38:11Speaker 1: sleeping at night if I forgot to pay, you know,
- 38:13Speaker 1: Bo bounds.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Five dollars back that he lonely.
- 38:15Speaker 1: You know, I that bugged me, man, It really really
- 38:18Speaker 1: bothered me that people didn't stand behind their work. They
- 38:20Speaker 1: didn't you know, return a phone call things like that.
- 38:24Speaker 1: And you know, when there's a call that comes in
- 38:27Speaker 1: and somebody wants us to rerun some measurements or anything like.
- 38:30Speaker 2: That, that's first priority. Sure, I don't care what we
- 38:32Speaker 2: have that day.
- 38:33Speaker 1: That's number one priority because that's why we started the business.
- 38:36Speaker 1: The thing that people miss bo is is the is
- 38:40Speaker 1: the little stuff. You know, you get busy and you're
- 38:43Speaker 1: you're doing this show in the morning. Then you know,
- 38:45Speaker 1: you go off and see Wilkes and Ella Hall and Starville,
- 38:48Speaker 1: and then you come back home at night, and then
- 38:49Speaker 1: you got to get up at four in the morning,
- 38:51Speaker 1: and you don't walk around the side of your house,
- 38:53Speaker 1: you know, and you wait for the termite guy to
- 38:55Speaker 1: tell you or your yard guy to tell you, hey,
- 38:58Speaker 1: there's cracks over there. The biggest thing is is people
- 39:01Speaker 1: can catch is it the whole house doesn't start leaning
- 39:05Speaker 1: the whole house or business doesn't start. I mean I
- 39:07Speaker 1: got to fix a big building on Lakeland in two weeks.
- 39:11Speaker 1: And it didn't just start. The guy that owns the
- 39:13Speaker 1: building knows, you know, the landlord who's actually the United
- 39:17Speaker 1: States government, which is funny. They it just did it
- 39:20Speaker 1: over time, right, So we got to go in there
- 39:22Speaker 1: and repair the whole building. What should have happened and
- 39:24Speaker 1: what needs to happen is is if you see something little,
- 39:27Speaker 1: the little fix.
- 39:28Speaker 2: Is a lot cheaper than the big fix. Right.
- 39:30Speaker 1: And so if I can tell anybody anything, if you've
- 39:34Speaker 1: got some and cracks don't always mean you have foundation
- 39:37Speaker 1: problems either, guys, you know, I mean there's a lot
- 39:39Speaker 1: you know, I would say probably fifty percent of the
- 39:41Speaker 1: cause we go on.
- 39:42Speaker 2: We just go, hey, you're in good shape, you know.
- 39:44Speaker 1: You know, there's a little bit of a header crack there,
- 39:46Speaker 1: win distribution maybe something like that, but you know.
- 39:49Speaker 2: It's not nine to one, it's not.
- 39:51Speaker 1: But I'd rather you call absolutely because if hey, there's
- 39:54Speaker 1: a little corner down here, we can prop that up
- 39:56Speaker 1: and it'll keep the whole thing because it'll chase itself
- 39:58Speaker 1: all the way through that whole slab. Or conventional we
- 40:01Speaker 1: find ourselves doing a ton of conventional foundation work, whether
- 40:05Speaker 1: it's encapsulations, putting.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Moisture barriers down.
- 40:07Speaker 1: You know, we might be putting dehumidifiers in fixing rotten joys,
- 40:12Speaker 1: rotten still plates, things like that. Those things didn't happen overnight, right,
- 40:16Speaker 1: So most of us and look, I'm one of those.
- 40:18Speaker 1: I just told you my schedule for the fault. Sure
- 40:20Speaker 1: it's going to be busy, right, You miss some things.
- 40:23Speaker 1: I miss things in my own house, I mean changing
- 40:25Speaker 1: air filter stuff like that, and the next thing, you know, well,
- 40:30Speaker 1: the next thing, you know, you don't want to be
- 40:31Speaker 1: replacing a whole new unit, right, it's a whole lot
- 40:34Speaker 1: cheaper to go grab a tude dollar filter and put
- 40:37Speaker 1: it in. So uh, Drew Brees will be able to
- 40:40Speaker 1: do that when he goes to Lows.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Now, right.
- 40:41Speaker 1: So at the end of the day, you know, you
- 40:43Speaker 1: we miss stuff because we're busy. It's a free evaluation.
- 40:47Speaker 1: If you live in the three Track County area, we'll
- 40:50Speaker 1: give you and if you're outside of that area, it's
- 40:51Speaker 1: not very much, just you know, which are just a
- 40:54Speaker 1: little bit to go look at it. But at the
- 40:55Speaker 1: end of the day, it's it's a free evaluation.
- 40:58Speaker 4: How much we got a couple of minutes here, Todd Sandridge,
- 41:01Speaker 4: Town of Livingston and Superior Foundations Superior doted mess. How
- 41:06Speaker 4: much of your work is driveways and parking lots?
- 41:09Speaker 1: A good bit bo I mean, you know, we don't
- 41:12Speaker 1: always take out the whole driveway, although we have had
- 41:14Speaker 1: a few of those here lately. A lot of times
- 41:16Speaker 1: it's just sections, right, you'll see where you have expansion
- 41:18Speaker 1: joint to expansion joint. You know, not to dog anybody out,
- 41:22Speaker 1: but a lot of these these flat work poors like driveways,
- 41:25Speaker 1: pool decks, patios, things like that. Man, they don't put
- 41:28Speaker 1: enough rebar or reinforcement in there. We find that a
- 41:31Speaker 1: lot things start crumbling and cracking. And sometimes it's a
- 41:35Speaker 1: budget thing. Hey we'll take out this half that you
- 41:37Speaker 1: know now and maybe sure next half next year when
- 41:39Speaker 1: you get a bonus or whatever.
- 41:40Speaker 2: But we do a good bit of that.
- 41:42Speaker 1: We've got, uh, we've got a couple of commercial businesses
- 41:45Speaker 1: on retainer that that you know, we'll go in and
- 41:48Speaker 1: you know they own a lot here and we'll replace
- 41:50Speaker 1: pieces of their parking lots.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Things like that.
- 41:52Speaker 1: You get heavy trucks and equipment driving in Absolutely we
- 41:55Speaker 1: just quoted a huge job down in Ristland, had a
- 41:57Speaker 1: big trucking plant and and now I think that turned
- 41:59Speaker 1: into three or estimates. But you know, just doing rock
- 42:02Speaker 1: and you know compacting, you know, gravel things like that,
- 42:05Speaker 1: But most of it always revolves around drainage. So any
- 42:08Speaker 1: parking lot, any driveway, any home business, whatever we fix,
- 42:12Speaker 1: there's they've got a drainage problem. And I would say
- 42:15Speaker 1: eighty percent of the time we combine that with drainage
- 42:17Speaker 1: because drainage caused the problem, right, right, And you also
- 42:20Speaker 1: do French strains, yes, and we do a lot of them.
- 42:23Speaker 1: And frankly, most of the time when we go see somebody,
- 42:26Speaker 1: they may not need anything with their foundation. It's it
- 42:29Speaker 1: may be touching, go it's a little bit on the edge,
- 42:32Speaker 1: but we need drainage so it doesn't get worse.
- 42:34Speaker 2: That's right, Yeah, that's right.
- 42:35Speaker 4: Todd Sandridge, Tray Pace, Town of Livingston, Superior Foundation, Crosstown Builders,
- 42:41Speaker 4: Superior dot MS, French strains, obviously, foundation repairs, driveways and
- 42:45Speaker 4: parking lots. We'll talk probably in ninety days. Yeah, you know,
- 42:50Speaker 4: as you guys, once the roads get in and you
- 42:53Speaker 4: guys start really moving dirt in the next month or two.
- 42:56Speaker 1: It's gonna be fun. And we're gonna have a special
- 42:58Speaker 1: event coming up. I'm gonna tease that little bit. Not
- 43:00Speaker 1: sure of the date, but kind of a regrand opening
- 43:03Speaker 1: goes to the Town of Livingston.
- 43:04Speaker 2: And we'll be there and you guys will be there.
- 43:06Speaker 2: Have a good weekend, my man.
- 43:07Speaker 4: Thank you, Todd Sandridge, Superior, dot MS, Superior Foundation, Town
- 43:11Speaker 4: of Livingston, and of course Crosstown Builders. On ESPN one
- 43:15Speaker 4: oh five nine The Zone Steve Palzolo, NFL podcast of
- 43:19Speaker 4: the Year. He'll join us at nine thirty. The camps
- 43:21Speaker 4: are underway. Here we go. Drew Brees goes into the
- 43:24Speaker 4: Hall of Fame too this weekend.
