- 0:00Rev it up and welcome to cars.

- 0:05What happens when two car guys get together to create something new today?
- 0:10We're going to find out, be prepared to be inspired.
- 0:15This is cars.

- 0:20Mark Green is here to provide you with a fuel injection of automotive inspiration.
- 0:24So get in, sit down, buck.
- 0:26Cool up and get ready for a wild ride here on Cars.
- 0:30Yeah.
- 0:36Hello, inspiring automotive enthusiasts and welcome to Cars.
- 0:40Yeah.
- 0:40Today.
- 0:40Well, today I'm in a couple of places at the same time, the magic of the computer.
- 0:46Uh, I'm in Maryland and I'm in Texas.
- 0:49That's quite a stretch with two, a very special returning guests who have
- 0:53decided to collaborate on something that I'd love to share with you.
- 0:57Don Weberg and Eric Amantra.
- 0:59Don Eric, welcome to car.
- 1:01Yeah.
- 1:01Do you have it in gear and are you guys ready to release the clutch?
- 1:05Yes, we do.
- 1:05Thanks for having us back.
- 1:06Mark.
- 1:07Thanks Mark.
- 1:08Now I figure with two guys on the show, like you two motorheads, we're at a
- 1:12drag strip, so you're both lining up, getting ready to drop the clutch and
- 1:15watch the Christmas tree change to green.
- 1:18Um, now what I'm going to do here is this would be a little bit interesting.
- 1:21I'm going to introduce you for people that don't.
- 1:23No of you, perhaps.
- 1:24And if you didn't listen to these two guys when they were last
- 1:28on the show, you can go back.
- 1:29In fact, Don is a little bit of a show hog because he will
- 1:32be appearing his third time.
- 1:34Right, Don?
- 1:35That's right.
- 1:35Three times is a charm.
- 1:37There you go.
- 1:37A three Peter, as they say.
- 1:39But first I'm going to ask each of you kind of a fun, silly question,
- 1:43and I'm going to start with you, Don.
- 1:45What's one little thing that maybe people don't know about you?
- 1:48Oh, uh, I love glass art.
- 1:51Glass art.
- 1:52So you should be out here at the Chihuly art museum with me, right?
- 1:57Yeah.
- 1:58Yeah, no, we, we got to visit the Chihuly exhibit at a museum
- 2:02out there a couple of years ago.
- 2:03It was fantastic.
- 2:04In fact, that was one of the things my wife and I bonded over,
- 2:07a very strange little story.
- 2:08We were at a swap meet and we both reached for the same piece
- 2:13of glass art at the same time.
- 2:14We weren't even looking, we were just, we saw something.
- 2:17And as we're reaching, we looked away, we both grabbed it at the same time.
- 2:20Kind of an interesting little story.
- 2:21It turns out she was a glass art aficionado too.
- 2:24Well, there you go.
- 2:25That works pretty cool.
- 2:26You know, they, you guys both know about my, uh, my past love with my orange crush
- 2:30and a Michael Allen Ross, the photographer shot that car over at the glass museum.
- 2:35You may have seen that cover and the pictures in Porsche Panorama magazine.
- 2:39Maybe.
- 2:40Did pretty cool.
- 2:41Yeah, that was pretty cool.
- 2:42Now eric, how about you and share a little secret?
- 2:46Yeah, so For those that know the acronym afol.
- 2:50I am an adult fan of legos That's kind of a weird thing to say because i've been
- 2:55playing with them since I was a kid And more recently, my daughters are of the
- 2:59age where they're very much into Lego.
- 3:01I actually took them to Denmark to Lego headquarters this
- 3:04year, which was pretty cool.
- 3:05And I've been on a crusade with them to resurrect a lot of these kits that
- 3:10I have from back in the eighties, early nineties and things like that.
- 3:13So missing some pieces here and there, but these aren't just.
- 3:16Little small Lego kits.
- 3:18These are 24 to 30 inch scale models of full size cars.
- 3:23And so I've got them in my office now going back to 1986, one of
- 3:27the earliest Lego Technic sets.
- 3:29And I've been going back through that and the girls are like,
- 3:31these are like expert builds.
- 3:33This is amazing.
- 3:34And so that's kind of blossomed into a newfound passion that I can share with my
- 3:38daughters, but still keep it car adjacent.
- 3:40Well, that's pretty smart.
- 3:42Lucky you.
- 3:43So we've got one guy into Legos, which are virtually unbreakable.
- 3:46And another guy that is into very breakable collectible.
- 3:50So there you go.
- 3:51Well, let me introduce you guys.
- 3:52And we're going to dive into this because you're going to do something new here.
- 3:55And I'm really excited to share this with the world.
- 3:58Don Weberg and Eric Amatrice Stelli, say that 10 times fast, have both been
- 4:02in the automobile industry for years.
- 4:04Don launched Garage Style Magazine in 2008.
- 4:08And Eric has been involved in motorsports and automobiles, founding Grand Touring
- 4:12Motorsports in 2014 and his BrakeFix podcast, which I was a guest on.
- 4:17Very cool.
- 4:18Both men have teamed up to create an affiliate network with five
- 4:22digital publications and are working towards creating a single company.
- 4:26That will house all their businesses entities under one garage roof.
- 4:31The plan includes publishing specialty books and cultivating new clients to
- 4:34help facilitate their marketing and PR needs, providing a multitude of services.
- 4:40Very interesting.
- 4:41We'll be back in just a moment, but first a word from our sponsors.
- 4:44So give them a little love.
- 4:45Buckle up.
- 4:46We'll be right back.
- 4:47Years ago, when it was time to renew my collector car insurance
- 4:50policy, my carrier's rates went up.
- 4:52Way up.
- 4:53But my usage was the same and I never made a claim.
- 4:56I didn't even have a ticket.
- 4:58So what's with that?
- 4:59So I turned to American Collectors Insurance.
- 5:01Has your collector car insurance recently raised your rates for no good reason?
- 5:05Tired of paying an annual membership fee?
- 5:07Then it's time to look around and call American collectors insurance.
- 5:11I shopped around.
- 5:12I asked friends for recommendations and found a winner that I can trust.
- 5:16And boy, I'm glad I did.
- 5:18I saved hundreds of dollars every year and slept better at night knowing my baby.
- 5:22was properly insured.
- 5:24American collectors insurance have been protecting vehicles since 1976.
- 5:28They provided me with an agreed value insurance policy backed by their history
- 5:33of taking great care of their clients.
- 5:35What could be better than that?
- 5:36So give them a call and ask for a quote today.
- 5:39866 ACI YAH That's 866 224 9324 and protect the ones you love like I did
- 5:48with American Collectors Insurance.
- 5:50Classic car insurance designed by collectors for collectors.

- 6:32You can subscribe at linkage, mag.
- 6:35com.
- 6:38All right, guys.
- 6:39So before we get into this new entity, I want each of you to just talk a
- 6:45little bit about your backgrounds because it'll set the format for what
- 6:49each of you are bringing to the garage.
- 6:51As this collaboration, this new build as we dive into car world here.
- 6:55And I'm going to start with you, Don.
- 6:57Garage Town Magazine is a publication that I've received and now get
- 7:01online for a long, long time.
- 7:03I met you.
- 7:04I'm not even sure when I met you.
- 7:05It's been so long.
- 7:06I feel like I've known you forever.
- 7:08Let's talk a little bit about your background first, and then we'll dive
- 7:11into Eric talking about what he's doing.
- 7:13And then we'll meld all these things together to create something.
- 7:17Much cooler than a Frankenstein build.
- 7:19Right?
- 7:21So Don, uh, tell us a little bit about your background.
- 7:23Okay.
- 7:24Uh, yeah.
- 7:26Car guy from birth.
- 7:27Literally.
- 7:27Both my parents were car people.
- 7:29And so it was in the DNA.
- 7:31They were all about the American iron and drag racing.
- 7:33And I came along and.
- 7:35Decided it wasn't just about a straight line.
- 7:37It was about anything with wheels.
- 7:39If it looked good, that was what was, what was interesting to me.
- 7:42And it just kind of kept going with cars.
- 7:44And then the writing came along.
- 7:46I was constantly reading books as a kid.
- 7:49Uh, it didn't matter what the book was.
- 7:50I was probably reading it.
- 7:51And so media became a big passion of mine.
- 7:55So in college, uh, as a journalism student, I decided, you know, I really
- 8:00wanted to work for the car magazines.
- 8:02So I took an internship at Motor Trend and Truck Trend magazine, uh, that turned
- 8:06into a bit of a small career for a while until Prime Media was bought by EMAP.
- 8:12I think that's what happened.
- 8:13And, uh, all of us basically lost our jobs.
- 8:15So that was that.
- 8:16So I ended up freelancing.
- 8:18And, uh, meeting all kinds of different collectors and seeing different
- 8:22garages during the freelance pool.
- 8:24And, you know, you slowly realize there's something here.
- 8:27There's something about these garage guys.
- 8:30I mean, yeah, we're all car guys, but we're garage guys.
- 8:32And, uh, there are a few things that happened all at once that
- 8:36made it, you know, the aha moment of this is what we need.
- 8:41And that was Garage Doll Magazine and we're, I mean, one of the stories that's
- 8:46the most fun to tell about forming it is when a manager calls me and says,
- 8:50uh, I need you to go shoot a 57 Chevy.
- 8:54Okay, no problem.
- 8:55So he gives me the address.
- 8:56It's in a town called Burbank over in Los Angeles County.
- 9:00So I drive over there, guy opens up his garage door and he has a complete.
- 9:0450s diner.
- 9:05It looked kind of like, uh, what was that diner on Happy Days?
- 9:10I believe it was called Arnold's Diner.
- 9:12Yeah, the checker floor and the little jukebox and, you know, very, very 50s.
- 9:16And smack in the center is this hot red 57 Chevy convertible fuel injection.
- 9:23I mean, the whole nine yards.
- 9:24It's the king of the 57 Chevys.
- 9:26So we bring it out.
- 9:27We take it.
- 9:27We photograph it.
- 9:28Have a great day.
- 9:29And then he started telling me about his garage, and everything he did, and all
- 9:33the people he hired, and the artists, and the contractors, and the laborers,
- 9:37and just everybody to put it together.
- 9:39And that was, that was a lot of fun.
- 9:41The next day, I had an appointment in Pasadena, which
- 9:43was on the other side of L.
- 9:45A.
- 9:45County.
- 9:45And, uh, this guy was a, uh, the owner of a Ferris Bueller
- 9:50Ferrari, as I always call it.
- 9:51Except it was black.
- 9:52And I don't know if you've ever seen a black California, but they are...
- 9:55Absolutely exquisite when they're painted black.
- 9:58But here's the thing I roll up to this guy's house.
- 10:01And if you know, Pasadena, it's filled with old craftsman style houses.
- 10:06And I roll up to this little craftsman style house.
- 10:09You look down the driveway, there's this little single car craftsman style garage.
- 10:14And you're thinking.
- 10:15This can't be the place.
- 10:16You know, there's no way 250 is living in that garage, but you
- 10:20know, maybe I'm picking him up and we're going somewhere else.
- 10:22I go knock on the door.
- 10:24This guy opens the door.
- 10:26Uh, no kidding.
- 10:27Pocket protector.
- 10:28The glasses are on like kind of sideways.
- 10:30I mean, this guy, he just, he looks like a scientist.
- 10:33So I'm thinking, yeah, this is not my Ferrari guy.
- 10:36I say, hi, I'm Don.
- 10:37I'm, I'm here to photograph, um, uh, a little sports car for a magazine.
- 10:41And the guy says, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:42Uh, just.
- 10:43Go around the back and meet me in the back.
- 10:45I'll be darned, it's him.
- 10:47So I go off the porch, walk around down the driveway, and
- 10:50I meet him in the backyard.
- 10:51And he says, um, yeah, it's right in that garage.
- 10:54Let me just get the key.
- 10:55And I'm thinking, you're kidding me, you know?
- 10:57So he unlocks it, opens the two little barn doors, and there she is.
- 11:02Smack in the middle, you know, her back is out and no kidding.
- 11:06You know, those boxes people use when they get fired, those little
- 11:09white boxes, everybody uses.
- 11:11Okay.
- 11:12Those are literally stacked all along each side of the left and right side
- 11:17of the Ferrari and across the top.
- 11:20And I'm thinking this is earthquake country.
- 11:22You know, one good jolt and this whole thing is coming in on this, you know,
- 11:25at the time it was only, you know, a million dollar car and he says, I know,
- 11:30I know, I, I just got through a divorce.
- 11:32I just got through selling my company.
- 11:34I just retired and, you know, this is the house and this is all
- 11:38I've got and blah, blah, blah.
- 11:39So it's okay.
- 11:39Well, how do you get it out of here?
- 11:40Cause the car was in there so tight.
- 11:41You couldn't open the doors.
- 11:43Something.
- 11:44What do you do?
- 11:44Do you crawl over the trunk and get into the car?
- 11:46No, no, no, no, no, just if you'll help me grab the bumper and just lean back.
- 11:51Yep.
- 11:52And that's literally how we got the car at the garage.
- 11:54So, okay.
- 11:56So we take it out.
- 11:56We shoot it.
- 11:57Have a great day.
- 11:59And, uh, we get back and he's, he's telling me he really wishes he
- 12:03could, you know, make over his garage and do this, that, and the other.
- 12:05Do you know anybody who might be able to help with that?
- 12:07And I thought, you know, I just met a guy, he's got a 57 Chevy, but he's got
- 12:11a garage that'll knock your socks off.
- 12:13Let's call him, see if we can go over there.
- 12:15So, okay.
- 12:16So we call him and he's more than happy, you know, come on over, I'll show you
- 12:20the garage and be happy to have you over.
- 12:21So much to my very pleasant surprise.
- 12:24I think we're going to jump in my Toyota and just head over there.
- 12:27The guy says, no, put your stuff in the Toyota, lock it up, hop in the Ferrari.
- 12:32Let's let it breathe a little bit.
- 12:33Okay.
- 12:34So yeah, we got to ride in this Ferrari from Pasadena all the way back over
- 12:39to Burbank on the freeway, and that was, that was fun, but, but I got
- 12:43those two guys together and I'm just watching just to fly in the wall.
- 12:47Just watching these guys talk and share stories and look at this
- 12:50and look at this and look at this.
- 12:52Next thing you know business cards are coming out.
- 12:54This is a guy who painted my ceiling.
- 12:56This is a guy who did my floor.
- 12:58This is a guy who did the the jukebox.
- 13:00This is a guy who did this.
- 13:01Next thing you know all this is coming together and that was part of what
- 13:05started to hit me of this is what's necessary because this guy didn't
- 13:09know where to get his garage stuff.
- 13:10That guy had put it all together.
- 13:12But he had to work for it.
- 13:13He had to go out there and find all these people to put it together.
- 13:17And that was kind of when garage style started percolating and bubbling.
- 13:20And next thing you know, we're going to garage collections to find
- 13:26cars to write for other editors.
- 13:27And then I'll pull the owner aside and say, so I've got a weird request for you.
- 13:30And they'll say, what?
- 13:31And I say, can I shoot your garage?
- 13:32And then you tell them this cockamamie story.
- 13:34I'm going to start a magazine and it's going to be all about garages.
- 13:37And they look at you really funny, like, yeah, okay, that'll last five minutes.
- 13:41And.
- 13:42You know, they let you shoot just to shut you up, but yeah, that was
- 13:46kind of where garage style came from.
- 13:48It all started.
- 13:49Ferris fuel day off.
- 13:51Now, Eric, it was, you kind of took a different path.
- 13:54I know your it tech guy by, by the day, your day job, right?
- 13:58Uh, but you started this other entity and you were kind enough to
- 14:01have me on your break fix podcast.
- 14:04So how did you get into the world of cars besides playing with Legos?
- 14:10Yeah, so I'm going to do a smoky burnout right through episode 2141 of cars.
- 14:14Yeah, so to skip over some of those gory details and kind of hone in on
- 14:19exactly what you're talking about.
- 14:20Mark is how it and cars really became a bridge for me.
- 14:25So in 2141, what I talked about was, you know, my grandfather was a chauffeur.
- 14:29My dad was into racing or changing an engine on the
- 14:31weekend was like normal for me.
- 14:33And I thought it was strange that other people didn't do that.
- 14:35But reality of the situation was, When my dad stayed here to go to school, he went.
- 14:42And became a developer.
- 14:43He was a mainframe programmer.
- 14:44And so I grew up around not only cars, but Unisys mainframes with, you know,
- 14:49hard drive cabinets the size of industrial refrigerators, and processors, and big,
- 14:53uh, big printers, and all this stuff.
- 14:55And so, for me, Staring at a green screen at five years old was no different
- 15:00than staring at a 13 millimeter wrench.
- 15:02But what my dad kind of pushed me to do was follow in his
- 15:05footsteps as a programmer.
- 15:06And at that time, the web was still being sort of developed by
- 15:10Al Gore, DARPA, whoever claims that they came up with it first.
- 15:15But I glommed on to that.
- 15:16I realized, Oh, the parsed languages, you know, all these kinds of things.
- 15:19And so I learned a bunch of different languages, not only not only assembler
- 15:23so I could program on the mainframes, but these new web languages like
- 15:26HTML and PHP and things like that.
- 15:29But being.
- 15:30The crossroads of all this was really the car club that I was
- 15:33involved in as a kid with my dad.
- 15:35And so, you know, the web was new and they were like, we got to get the
- 15:39Porsche club websites up on the internet.
- 15:41People need to know about these things and the Audi club and the
- 15:44BMW club and all these places.
- 15:46And they were like, we're looking for people that know how to do this.
- 15:48And I'm here I am as a preteen teenager going, well, I know
- 15:52how to program in this stuff.
- 15:54I know how to build websites.
- 15:55Like I've been doing this actually for a while in my basement,
- 15:57kind of like the Google thing.
- 15:58Right.
- 15:59So people are asking, you know, they're asking for help.
- 16:02So 20 years ago, 1999, 2000, I started.
- 16:06Grand Touring Audi and what that was was centralized around the cars I was
- 16:12passionate about because my first car was an Audi Coupe GT and so I wanted to build
- 16:17my own car club, my own community, I was getting people together, I had a very
- 16:21interesting group of people especially from the UK that would come to my forum
- 16:26and we would talk and we would share and oh can I get these parts and can you ship
- 16:29me and what do you have in America and all this kind of stuff and oddly enough
- 16:32if you look at our first 50 members in the top 20 Is javad shadzi from o34
- 16:38motorsports with his original audi 80.
- 16:41He was a member of grand touring audi So that kind of changed hands a
- 16:45couple of times because then I took on responsibilities at audi I took on
- 16:49responsibilities at porsche club And so I kind of took that website apart and I
- 16:53pushed it into those other resources And then later my dad wanted to resurrect the
- 16:57name because he wanted to resell parts.
- 16:59I said, what about grand tori motorsports?
- 17:01Okay, cool.
- 17:01We'll do that.
- 17:02So that was version two And then after he passed away came version
- 17:06three in 2014, which stands today.
- 17:08So it's been this whole idea of partnering cars and, and technology,
- 17:14but also building community.
- 17:15I've always been about building car clubs and getting information out there, sharing
- 17:20information, even as a driving instructor, that's part of what fuels me is to
- 17:24share the love and passion of driving with other people and to help educate.
- 17:28So.
- 17:29That's a long winded way of painting the larger picture of Grand Touring
- 17:33Motorsports and why it stands the way it does and it's been broken into multiple
- 17:36properties and all this kind of thing.
- 17:38But the story of how Don and I got together, I'll leave to Don to tell.
- 17:43Don?
- 17:44Oh, me?
- 17:44Yeah.
- 17:45Yeah, you.
- 17:45Why me, Eric?
- 17:47Okay.
- 17:48Yeah, so once upon a time, Eric was giving a podcast to one of our favorite people.
- 17:54He's having a podcast with this gentleman.
- 17:56And this gentleman drops my name, drops GarageStyle's name, and Eric
- 18:01drops it down for future reference.
- 18:03And the next thing I know, I'm getting, you know, this text message from, uh,
- 18:08one of the ladies I work with who says, uh, do you want to be on a podcast?
- 18:12Well, sure, why wouldn't I want to be on a podcast?
- 18:14That sounds like fun.
- 18:15So, okay, you know, here's a number, here's an email, I'll set you up.
- 18:18Okay, great.
- 18:19So it's all set up.
- 18:20And I end up going on the Breakfast Podcast.
- 18:23And Eric and I kind of quickly clicked, we just, you know, it was
- 18:27sort of one of those moments where you sort of realize, yeah, you've kind
- 18:31of just become a fast friend here.
- 18:32And, you know, Mark, you know this, you've known me for a long time off
- 18:36and on, I don't know if you know this or not, but I'm not one of those guys
- 18:39who latches on to people immediately.
- 18:40I'm kind of a standoff kind of guy.
- 18:43I'm very friendly, big friendly Don.
- 18:45But there is definitely a wall up there that's like, yeah, you've got to go now.
- 18:49Bye Eric.
- 18:51I didn't sense that with Eric.
- 18:52It was sort of a, you know, Eric seems like good people.
- 18:55So I was getting along with him.
- 18:56We blasted through his podcast.
- 18:58I think we spent two hours on that thing.
- 18:59It ended up being a double episode.
- 19:04So, yeah, we, we were talking about where it came from, where it is.
- 19:08And, you know, at the moment it was very interesting because, uh, you
- 19:12know, 2020 was hard on everybody.
- 19:14I don't know anybody who wakes up in the morning and says,
- 19:16man, 2020, what a great year.
- 19:18Let's do that again.
- 19:19Yeah.
- 19:20So for us, it was the same thing.
- 19:22We were all in the same boat and we had a lot of family situations going on.
- 19:27The magazine was struggling because it was getting more and more and more
- 19:30expensive to print because of supply chain issues with paper and even ink
- 19:35was getting hard to get a hold of.
- 19:36So our printer, bless his heart, he was doing everything he could.
- 19:40And I'll tell you, every time I, uh, sent out for bid, uh, to
- 19:43different printers, my old printer always came back with the best bid.
- 19:47So I stayed with that guy because he always had the best price,
- 19:49always had the best service and he'd been there since day one.
- 19:52So, uh, I knew he was doing everything he could, you know,
- 19:56and it still just wasn't enough.
- 19:58Plus on the personal side with everything going on, we had two senior citizens
- 20:02we were taking care of at home.
- 20:03We were in the process of trying to move to Tennessee.
- 20:06We were in the process of getting rid of stuff.
- 20:08I mean, it's just a whole soap opera of what's going on.
- 20:11And it was stressing me out big time.
- 20:13And I, I finally, you know, something had to give.
- 20:16Something's got to break and we got a print bill.
- 20:19And it wasn't that we couldn't afford it.
- 20:20It was just for the first time in GarageStyle's life.
- 20:23We didn't want to afford it.
- 20:24We just didn't want to.
- 20:25So, okay, you know, we'll pay it because the work has already been done.
- 20:29Let's just get this one done and we're going to rely on our newsletter.
- 20:33Because that's what we have digitally.
- 20:35Pretty much free it, you know, we get stuff out there.
- 20:38It's wonderful and it'll lighten the load a lot.
- 20:42So, uh, that was kind of what was going on shortly before I met
- 20:47Eric and then the move happens.
- 20:49We ended up moving to Texas, not Tennessee and Eric's podcast comes up
- 20:53and I basically tell him, you know, we're, we're trying to go digital.
- 20:56And of course I.
- 20:57You know, I, I see a ticonder of a pencil and think, man, that is the
- 21:02coolest piece of technology ever.
- 21:05You know, when it comes to computers, et cetera, I'm kind of a rock.
- 21:08So here's Eric, who is basically a missile when it comes to technology.
- 21:14He just click, click, click, click, click.
- 21:16He just knows it.
- 21:17So I'm looking at him like, I wonder if I could hire him to run this stuff.
- 21:20And apparently he was looking at me for whatever it is I can do and
- 21:24thinking, you know, we should come together and make things happen.
- 21:27And I thought, yeah, that'd be fun.
- 21:28What are we going to do?
- 21:30So that's kind of how we got together.
- 21:32Go ahead.
- 21:32The funny part of that story is I had.
- 21:34Very nonchalantly mentioned to Don, I said, you know, I looked at
- 21:38Garage Sale's website to do some research for your show notes and this
- 21:41and that, and I just let it slip.
- 21:43You know, if you need some help with the website, you know, just give me a buzz.
- 21:46We'll, we'll talk about it.
- 21:47A couple of weeks go by, I'm on my way with a fellow instructor
- 21:51to Palmer Motorsports Park.
- 21:52We're trailering BMW up there to go race and do all this kind of stuff.
- 21:55And Don calls middle of the afternoon.
- 21:57I'm like, I wonder what he wants.
- 21:59And, you know, a little bit of pleasantries and he goes,
- 22:01so how serious were you?
- 22:04About, you know, helping with GarageDial.
- 22:06I said, well, what do you mean?
- 22:07He goes, I really need a webmaster.
- 22:08I need, we need to overhaul this thing.
- 22:10And I said, okay.
- 22:11And then well, you know, when I get back in town after the race,
- 22:13we'll talk and we'll go from there.
- 22:15And I put together a prototype for him and I'll never forget.
- 22:19This is the only time I think Don in his entire life has
- 22:21been completely speechless.
- 22:23And I thought he was super angry.
- 22:26And I showed him what GarageDial looks like today, if you
- 22:28go to GarageDialMagazine.
- 22:29com and he just kept staring at it.
- 22:32And then he says, can you, can you scroll a little bit more?
- 22:34It's like, okay, can you, can you show me something else?
- 22:36Yeah.
- 22:37Okay.
- 22:38And then he's quiet again.
- 22:39And I'm like, and I, and at this point I'm, I'm afraid I'm like, um,
- 22:43I must have really made you mad.
- 22:45And so what do you think?
- 22:46He's like, I love it now.
- 22:48What do we do?
- 22:49Yeah, having no clue.
- 22:51So it's kind of beauty of the beast.
- 22:53We'll call it that way, but not that one of you is beautiful.
- 22:56One of you is beastly or vice versa, but in that case, okay, Mark, we
- 22:59all know I am the gorgeous one.
- 23:01Yes, of course we do.
- 23:02But the idea here is one has a skill set here.
- 23:06One has a skill set here and it's a blending.
- 23:09Of those skill sets.
- 23:10So let's talk about this a little bit when you blended these things together.
- 23:15And, and I'll, I'll start with you, Eric.
- 23:17What's the vision here?
- 23:19What's the company premise.
- 23:21Yeah.
- 23:22So initially it was really, let's, let's tell the world
- 23:25that garage style is still here.
- 23:27It's here to stay.
- 23:28It's completely digital, all the awesome things that it can offer, but on the
- 23:31same token, grand touring had morphed into a digital magazine years prior to.
- 23:37To GSM.
- 23:37So it was sort of like, let's borrow some things, you know, borrowed
- 23:40blue and new and all those types of cliches and bring it over to GSM.
- 23:45And then we started to realize that though our worlds are completely
- 23:48disparate, motorsports and collector card, there's a juxtaposition
- 23:52right when you start collecting.
- 23:53Old race cars.
- 23:54So we have this overlap.
- 23:56We were running in similar circles We knew similar people and don's like hey, do
- 24:00you want this person to come on the show?
- 24:01And i'm like don i'm not going to say no So absolutely So we started even to
- 24:04blur the lines Of the show and some of the other things that we were doing and
- 24:08projects we were working on and things that we were Helping each other out doing
- 24:12and then we started to realize well I know this person and they have a website
- 24:16and I know that person and they have a website and it's like well Why don't we?
- 24:19They're a source of authority for exotic cars and they're a source of authority.
- 24:23They have a national database of events that are going on around the country.
- 24:28If we all link up and we do some mind melding and some sharing,
- 24:32we're running similar platforms and all this kind of stuff.
- 24:34It's not, it's all database magic.
- 24:36So why don't we?
- 24:37Set up this affiliate network and see how it goes and I've always subscribed to the
- 24:41idea as a community builder that rising tides lift all ships So why do I want to
- 24:46compete with my friends if to your point?
- 24:50Mark, they have a skill set that not necessarily can be leveraged but can
- 24:54be shared And so we've we put together these what would be seemingly disparate
- 24:59websites when you go out there I like exotic car and collector car guide net
- 25:02and GSM and GTM and so on but there's this awesome ecosystem of sharing of
- 25:08information, whether it's auction data, exotic cars, motorsports news, the
- 25:12brake fix podcast, the GSM articles in the garages and all that kind of stuff.
- 25:16And so now it's become almost this like mega magazine, right?
- 25:19And then from there that got the attention of other people that are
- 25:21like, so, so what are you guys doing?
- 25:23What, how exactly does this work?
- 25:24So if, if I advertise with.
- 25:26One of you, I advertise with all of you and I'm like, yeah, that's kind
- 25:29of how the family works and how we've partnered and how things are going.
- 25:33And so to answer your more direct question, the idea is
- 25:36to put that under one umbrella.
- 25:38So envision some of the other publication houses that are out
- 25:42there that own major properties.
- 25:43Like, you know, they've got, you know, 17 magazine on one side in Vogue and
- 25:47they've got Hot Rod over there and they've got something else in their portfolio.
- 25:50And so the idea is to do the same.
- 25:52thing, but we only specifically cater to the automotive
- 25:55industry or to the autosphere.
- 25:56So you're not going to find us working on, you know, the local pet store, you
- 26:00know, dental office or that kind of thing.
- 26:01Although, you know, those help pay the bills too, but our
- 26:04expertise is in the car world.
- 26:06When you want to talk about carburetors and fuel injection and wheel sizes
- 26:09and all these kinds of things.
- 26:10You come to us, right?
- 26:12We're the guys that can do it.
- 26:13And so that's where we've used our skills to then say, we are specialists.
- 26:17We're subject matter experts in this.
- 26:18Not only can we do publishing, can we do web development?
- 26:21Can we do social media?
- 26:22Can we do all these other things?
- 26:24Our sweet spot is cars.
- 26:27Yeah, that makes sense to me.
- 26:28And Don, have you guys come up with.
- 26:31An entity name as the, I knew, I knew this was going to take us down a
- 26:36bad path here because I have to tell you, listeners, you know, I've talked
- 26:40with these guys before a little bit about this, but I had to bring it up.
- 26:43Do you have an idea?
- 26:44Like, is there going to be like, you know, cars and then.
- 26:47So, so what's the joke around the office, Don?
- 26:50Yeah, well, right now we're working with something called no name media.
- 26:54Because none of us can really, none of us can really agree on a name.
- 26:57We all pitch out there very, in fact, Eric even said it, he said, you
- 27:02know, rising tides lift all ships.
- 27:03And we thought about rising tides media.
- 27:06We thought about that and that's still a contender.
- 27:09It's still out there.
- 27:10There's nothing wrong with it.
- 27:11We thought about autosphere media.
- 27:13We thought about, Oh my God.
- 27:16Well, maybe we don't give away too many, unless you've already researched
- 27:19these on blue dot or go daddy.
- 27:22But it's funny though.
- 27:23We keep going back to no name media, which is really, really weird.
- 27:27But, you know, going back to the marketing background and mark,
- 27:30you know, a lot about this too.
- 27:32You want something that's very memorable, very recallable to people.
- 27:37And, uh, there, there is a power in the way certain words are formed.
- 27:42And if you look at no name media.
- 27:45My God, it rolls right off the tongue.
- 27:47It's got a little comedy to it.
- 27:49Uh, so I don't know, that might be, that might be the way we go for now.
- 27:53We're just acting as affiliates with each other, which has
- 27:55been working very, very well.
- 27:57But we are taking, you know, step by step by step, bringing it all
- 28:00together and forming that one company.
- 28:02I always, you know, it's funny.
- 28:04Cause as we go through this, there's a lot of insecurity, I think both on.
- 28:08Uh, especially Eric's and my end, because we are kind of the spearheads
- 28:12for this whole thing and I keep going back and I, I probably shouldn't, it
- 28:17might be, you know, making more anxiety than not, but I love Richard Branson
- 28:21and I've been listening to a lot of his discussions and interviews and, and
- 28:26even his little motivational things.
- 28:29One that always keeps me going is the fact that when he was forming,
- 28:33um, God, I think it was a, the record label, he says that he was the one
- 28:38in the room surrounded by a bunch of corporate sharks who knew everything.
- 28:43And he didn't know what gross profit was versus net profit.
- 28:46And he had to ask because he's got to know.
- 28:50So even though it brought funny looks from everybody in the room,
- 28:53he had to know what is this?
- 28:55Well.
- 28:56In a way that's kind of me and Eric, uh, you know, going at
- 29:00this, like, well, what is this?
- 29:02Or what is this?
- 29:02Well, we got to figure these things out.
- 29:04So we need to get a room full of smarter guys, you know, who can
- 29:06kind of fill us in with this stuff.
- 29:08You know, I've got just the group of smarter guys, Cars Y'all listeners.
- 29:12That's right.
- 29:13There you go.
- 29:13And maybe we have a little fun here, you know, for each of my guests,
- 29:16I have a show notes page and you can go to that page on my website.
- 29:21In this case, the show would be called Don and Eric, and there are a place
- 29:25to put messages down below there.
- 29:26So I would encourage listeners.
- 29:29Having learned a little bit about what these guys are doing and also put
- 29:32contact information so you can reach out.
- 29:34Maybe we have a little contest going here and people suggest ideas for the umbrella.
- 29:40What do you think?
- 29:41Naming and logos are probably one of the hardest things to do.
- 29:45And obviously we're getting into a business where we're going to
- 29:48be doing this for other people.
- 29:50But I find that it's actually easier to do for other people than do for yourself.
- 29:54Right.
- 29:54It's kind of like naming your kid and you're just like, does that, what
- 29:57I want to be a shout out the door when I'm angry, seriously, you know?
- 30:02Yeah.
- 30:02Yeah, no, I understand.
- 30:03Well, I did, you know, for 11 years before I got into the car world
- 30:07and I became a part of Griot's garage and helped build that brand.
- 30:10I worked in advertising, marketing and advertising, and I designed lots and lots
- 30:14of logos for people came up with names and so forth that we didn't have that little
- 30:17thing called Google, uh, back then to, uh, or GoDaddy or BlueDot or all these
- 30:22different ways to come up with entities.
- 30:24I will say that when I was trying to come up with a name for my podcast,
- 30:28trying to find, and this was 10 years ago, a, uh, URL that had cars
- 30:33in it that wasn't already taken.
- 30:34It was very, very difficult.
- 30:36I probably had a hundred plus names figured out that I liked
- 30:39every time somebody else had it.
- 30:40A few of them didn't even weren't doing anything with them and I tried
- 30:43to reach out and they wouldn't respond.
- 30:45And one guy wanted to see an amount of money and I'm like, well,
- 30:48I've never even done a podcast.
- 30:49I don't even know if I'm going to make a dime.
- 30:51So I'm not going to pay you, you know, 50, 000 for this name.
- 30:54But I would encourage you guys to look at it this way.
- 30:57I always say when you're creating something, come up with your
- 31:01why, W H Y your Simon Sinek.
- 31:04Why, why you're doing this?
- 31:07And that's one of the last questions I'm going to ask you guys today is the why,
- 31:12because I think that's really important and out of the why could come the name.
- 31:18I don't know, but I'm going to start with you, Eric.
- 31:20Why?
- 31:22Because as a small business owner, and I think Don shares in this sentiment
- 31:27and a lot of other people listen to this probably due to, there is.
- 31:31A level of freedom and autonomy to doing it yourself.
- 31:35But then at the end of the day, the only person that's accountable, responsible,
- 31:39and is doing all the work is you yourself.
- 31:41And sometimes you reach a point where the load becomes too much and
- 31:45you see the weakness in others and the strength in others, and if you
- 31:48can recognize that, embrace it and.
- 31:51And work as a team, then you can achieve all sorts of really awesome things.
- 31:55And I think that's what's going on here, especially with these families of sites
- 31:59coming together, Don and I leading the charge on this is we've recognized what
- 32:03we can achieve together instead of what we're limited in achieving on our own.
- 32:07And to me, that's super important is that.
- 32:09All of these things, whether it's Grand Touring Motorsports, Garage Doll Magazine,
- 32:12Exotic Car Marketplace, et cetera, that they're not blips on a radar, that
- 32:16they've become something bigger in the autosphere and they've left a presence
- 32:19and they've left a memory behind.
- 32:21If that's, you know, let's say 20 years from now, but they've made a
- 32:24positive effect and have, we've been an agent of change in the automotive
- 32:28industry because it is changing around us, uh, whether we like it or not.
- 32:32So it's important that we be part of it as it changes.
- 32:35So you inspired me for your first name idea here.
- 32:37Uh, I'm sure it's not available, but the word I come up with is tools.
- 32:44I know, but it doesn't quite work, but it could, but it made you laugh.
- 32:50I knew it would.
- 32:51Good one, Mark.
- 32:51Yeah.
- 32:52You like that?
- 32:52Yeah, that's a double entendre, I know delving into my old psychology training
- 32:57here, Mark, I want you to think more about how you really think about me and
- 33:01Eric, coming from the name like tools.
- 33:03I want us to examine that, you know, let's, let's go back a little and talk.
- 33:08This is a work in progress.
- 33:09So this is the, you know, this is the creative thing.
- 33:12So Don, hey, you tool, Oh no, not me.
- 33:18Go back to Eric.
- 33:19Yeah, go back.
- 33:20Why collaborate with someone else?
- 33:22Well, I get, you know, here we go.
- 33:26You don't worry.
- 33:27This is only a, you know, a half hour show, which we're,
- 33:29we're at about 35 minutes now.
- 33:31So let me tell you why, um, by the way, this is, this is not Scotch.
- 33:36I'm drinking.
- 33:37This is iced tea.
- 33:38Just so you know, that's right.
- 33:40I, I have my, uh, my, you know, Coke, you know, we DeLorean people, we drink Coke.
- 33:47That's right.
- 33:47You love DeLorean.
- 33:48So the Y that's right.
- 33:50Okay.
- 33:50So why together everyone achieves more T E a M team.
- 33:55I would never a sports aficionado.
- 33:57Never.
- 33:58My whole family is very athletic.
- 34:00They've all, I mean, two or three of them were literally
- 34:03being recruited for the Olympics.
- 34:05I mean, these people are something else and you know, I come along
- 34:08and my father's all proud.
- 34:09Yes.
- 34:10The first male Weber, you know, and.
- 34:13I have no idea what to do with a football, a baseball, a pole vault, none of it.
- 34:18I have no clue what to do with that stuff, but I can read
- 34:21Shakespeare at seven years old.
- 34:23I mean, figure that out.
- 34:24So my dad didn't know what to do with me.
- 34:26He, you know, whatever.
- 34:27So.
- 34:28But when I was working at Blockbuster, one of the big shot managers
- 34:33came in and he threw that at me.
- 34:35Together, everyone achieved more.
- 34:36It just always stuck with me.
- 34:38Garage style speaking selfishly has hit that moment with me where, you know,
- 34:44if you think of yourself as a balloon.
- 34:46If you blow it up anymore, I'm going to pop that said, we're just maxed out.
- 34:51There's just nothing else I can do.
- 34:52There's nothing left.
- 34:53We've been through the ups and the downs.
- 34:55We've hit the IRS.
- 34:56We've hit the bankruptcy.
- 34:57We've hit, you know, everything and yeah, it had to go digital.
- 35:02And I wasn't quite sure how to, you know, get the people
- 35:07who were already helping me to.
- 35:09Go that much further with me.
- 35:11I think they were also at that point of the balloon.
- 35:13And then along comes Eric and Eric knows how to do this stuff.
- 35:17Click, click, click.
- 35:18I mean, without even thinking about it, he's putting it together and we realize,
- 35:22yeah, like, I mean, we made a joke of it.
- 35:24You know, the brands that we're talking about here are a lot like the Audi emblem.
- 35:29You know, you have your circle and it overlaps a little
- 35:31bit with that other circle.
- 35:33But there's not so much overlap that they're pure competition.
- 35:35We don't really compete with one another at all.
- 35:37In fact, if anything, we enhance one another.
- 35:40And I, I think that speaks volumes.
- 35:43And as Eric said, the autosphere is always changing.
- 35:47It is just constantly going through something, going through something, and
- 35:50it's going a lot faster for some reason.
- 35:52I don't know if it's the dawn of the electric car or, uh, you know, new
- 35:56collectors who are following, you know, arguably in Jay Leno's footsteps, who,
- 36:01you know, he was really one of the first ones to step up and say, just drive it.
- 36:04You know, who cares what it works, just get out there and drive it and enjoy it.
- 36:06Cause.
- 36:07You know, when you're, when you're in the box in the ground, what
- 36:11kind of story do you have to tell?
- 36:12Oh, do you know how many times I polished that fender?
- 36:15Nobody cares how many times you polished it.
- 36:17They care about when you drove it down highway one, or you drove
- 36:20it through that sandstorm on the way to the show in Phoenix.
- 36:22And you were all nervous because you went through the sandstorm.
- 36:24And I think a lot of people, especially younger people.
- 36:28Yeah, that's how they feel.
- 36:29They get a car, they want to enjoy it.
- 36:31They don't want to just sit there and look at it.
- 36:32So as such, we need to be a media company.
- 36:36That's going to be able to move with that.
- 36:37That's going to be able to morph with that.
- 36:39And yeah, you know what Eric on his own, he's doing fine.
- 36:43Me on my own, I'm doing okay.
- 36:45All the other guys that we're teaming up with, they're doing
- 36:47okay too, but we all realize.
- 36:50Together, everyone is going to achieve more.
- 36:52Well, what is more, you know, what's the ultimate end game?
- 36:55I think is really what I get into.
- 36:57And is it one of those things where we build up a nice solid media brand?
- 37:01You know, Eric's daughters want to come in and work with us.
- 37:04My daughter wants to come in and work with us.
- 37:05Who knows where it's going to go?
- 37:07You know, I, I think why.
- 37:09There are so many ways you can answer that question.
- 37:11And I know I'm sure Mark, I'm frustrating the hell out of you
- 37:14because where you're a Porsche 911, I'm very much more an Alfa Romeo.
- 37:17So it's, you know, it's, you're going to have a very different
- 37:21philosophy of looking at things here.
- 37:22So I don't know.
- 37:23Does that kind of answer your question?
- 37:26Eric was a lot more eloquent about it than I was.
- 37:27Well, you inspired me again with the visual, cause I'm a visual guy, the Audi
- 37:32emblem with the overlapping circles.
- 37:33So.
- 37:34Since you are Eric and you are Don, ED, your company could be called ED because,
- 37:40you know, we all, Oh, wait a minute.
- 37:42What is it with this guy?
- 37:44Wait a minute.
- 37:44Why don't we just call it blue pill and get it over with.
- 37:47Tools and ED.
- 37:48Okay.
- 37:48Bad.
- 37:49Okay.
- 37:49Maybe you need to hire someone else to help you with the name.
- 37:51And that's why.
- 37:53You did stumble upon a code term we had internally originally when
- 37:56we, we called it four rings for that very analogy for that very.
- 38:00Symbolism.
- 38:01Yeah, but we're like, eh, that's a little too cliche It needs you
- 38:04know needs to don kept saying needs to come off the tongue better.
- 38:07It needs to sound better Well, now wait a minute, you know if you take
- 38:10if you take both of mark's seemingly weird ideas And you put them together
- 38:15you have tooled Which is not?
- 38:18Too bad.
- 38:19I mean, it's tooled up, tooled up media.
- 38:21Well, see, this is how the creative process works.
- 38:24Eric's just covering his face.
- 38:25So again, you Cars Now listeners out there, you're all very smart.
- 38:30You're all dialed in to the car world.
- 38:32So we'd love to have you, uh, go to the website, type in some ideas
- 38:35for these guys or reach out to them because I think collaboratively.
- 38:40We'll come up with something here for you guys.
- 38:41So, uh, we'll just kind of leave it at that before I let you guys go today.
- 38:46Is there anything else that you would like to share with the listeners about what we
- 38:51could see as the first collaborations, or you want to leave that for when the name
- 38:57is created, the website and all of that?
- 38:59Well, I'll take a minute to promote one of our newest clients.
- 39:03Uh, if anybody's interested in checking out probably one of the most
- 39:06interesting Startups that, uh, is U.
- 39:10S.
- 39:10based out of Georgia.
- 39:11It's ESE Carbon Wheels.
- 39:13They're at www.
- 39:15esecarbon.
- 39:16com.
- 39:16And so Don and I are working with them every day to really
- 39:20get the message out there.
- 39:21These are one piece carbon wheels made in the USA.
- 39:24It's a key differentiator from a lot of other companies that are out there.
- 39:28They're designed for a lot of German cars, a lot of in their upcoming Italian cars.
- 39:33But originally they were designed to reduce rotating mass.
- 39:38Save weight, improve efficiency and braking and performance, things like that.
- 39:41For of all vehicles, the Teslas, the Model S's and the Model 3's.
- 39:45And so they've been involved with Electrify Expo and a
- 39:48lot of other organizations.
- 39:49And so we've been working with them to help them out, get their
- 39:52name out there, and so people can learn more about them at ESECarbon.
- 39:55com.
- 39:55Will they be at SEMA?
- 39:57I believe so, yes.
- 39:58You know, I just had RJ DeVera, who's the vice president of marketing for SEMA
- 40:02on the Cars You Have podcast yesterday.
- 40:06So you can listen and learn a lot more about that magnificent
- 40:09show that's coming up.
- 40:10So Don, based on what Eric said about collaborating and working and
- 40:14supporting clients, how else are you?
- 40:17Dovetailing those folks into all the different things that you guys are doing.
- 40:22Well, one way we're doing it, Mark is, uh, and Eric touched on this,
- 40:25but, uh, the advertising approach, the promotional approach that we can offer
- 40:30with all of our different affiliate brands, you know, instead of just going
- 40:33to garage style or grand touring, you have a multitude of them with the exotic
- 40:37car, the collector car, et cetera.
- 40:39So we can really bring.
- 40:40Client a lot of value there.
- 40:42So when you come to us and you say we want you to do our website, we
- 40:45want you to do our advertising.
- 40:47We want you to do our promotional printed material, etc.
- 40:51We can also set you up with a promotional package on the other side.
- 40:56Of the house with the magazines or rather the websites that we can put
- 41:00you out there with the social media.
- 41:01So you're getting a lot more than just okay.
- 41:04Here's your website.
- 41:05Now.
- 41:05Now we're going to take your website and we're going to get it out there
- 41:08in a multitude of different ways.
- 41:10Now we're going to take all your social media and because we're already.
- 41:14So heavily versed with the social media because Google is already
- 41:17so familiar with all of our brand.
- 41:20We have good numbers.
- 41:21Your numbers are going to be good too.
- 41:23They're just going to kite right off of ours, which is terrific.
- 41:25So I think we bring that to clients a lot.
- 41:28So we are definitely looking for.
- 41:30Clients who need help getting some marketing done.
- 41:33Yeah, I love it I think it's a great idea and not only that one of the things
- 41:37we've also introduced and leveraged is our discord in the ability to bring
- 41:42our clients into that And hear from people on the street directly because
- 41:47discord is more of that conversational style than a facebook or social media
- 41:50post where you just throw it out there and somebody gives you a heart or a
- 41:53thumbs up Or and you have no reaction this way You throw something out there
- 41:56and people say, well, I like that.
- 41:57I want to learn more.
- 41:58Maybe I don't like that.
- 41:59And if they don't like it.
- 42:01Then you can get that immediate feedback.
- 42:02You can have that direct message with a potential client or with an existing
- 42:06customer or whatever So we're still building community and we're doing that
- 42:09through our discord and that's available through both our websites It actually goes
- 42:12to the same place and then we also bring in Information from all of these different
- 42:17parts of the autosphere that we're tied into so now you've got this direct line
- 42:22right to the vein of information to Fellow petrol heads that want to absorb it.
- 42:28They want to be engaged with it.
- 42:29So that's been an interesting spin on, you know, engaging the base as,
- 42:35as well as the clients themselves.
- 42:37Brian, I love it.
- 42:38I think it's great.
- 42:39You know, back to the tools name.
- 42:40I got another idea for you.
- 42:42T W O L Z, cause the word tool is taking probably, okay, I'll stop, nevermind.
- 42:52How can people reach out to each of you guys individually?
- 42:56Sure.
- 42:56Well, for me personally, you can go to gtmotorsports.
- 43:01org.
- 43:01That's G as in grand, T as in touring, motorsports with an S dot org.
- 43:05Obviously you can follow us on break fix podcast.
- 43:09You can search that pretty much.
- 43:10Everywhere, good podcasts are found and even rubbish ones too,
- 43:13by searching for break fix grand touring or vehicle enthusiasts.
- 43:17That's the quickest way to find it.
- 43:18And then we have other subsequent properties and publications that
- 43:22go along with that, but everything stems off the GT motor starts.
- 43:25org website.
- 43:26And then on social media, it's at grand Tory motor sports
- 43:29everywhere to include threads now.
- 43:31So we're, we're everywhere you want us to be.
- 43:33That's pretty cool.
- 43:35And can, how can we find Don tucked away there in Texas?
- 43:38I think it's best to just call Eric and tell him you want to
- 43:41talk to me, that's best, you know.
- 43:42He'll get the message over.
- 43:43I see, see this, already the delegation, he's already made you
- 43:46his secretary, his assistant, yeah.
- 43:50Well, I'll follow that up by saying it's pretty easy to remember too,
- 43:53because it's garagetilemagazine.
- 43:55com and on social it's at garagetilemagazine.
- 43:58And Don frequently co hosts on BreakFix, so he brings in folks from all over
- 44:03the collector car side of the world to the show and we collaborate on some
- 44:07Other really interesting topics lately.
- 44:09He's also a guest panelist on our what should I buy series and a lot of
- 44:13other things and be on The lookout for our upcoming holiday shopping guide,
- 44:17which is a collaborative Project between garage tile and grand touring
- 44:21because we both independently put out our recommended wish lists for our
- 44:26loved ones To buy for us every year.
- 44:29So we're doing that together and lots of other fun things, you know,
- 44:32between our websites and social media and whatnot, but again, it doesn't
- 44:35matter which one you go to, you'll find either of us and you'll also find
- 44:38our partners, exotic car marketplace and collector card guide done that.
- 44:41Oh, absolutely.
- 44:42And again, all your listeners know you can come to the car show website,
- 44:45find all my guests, including these two characters, these two tools.
- 44:50I still think tools has not, we got some going here.
- 44:53I think we can, you know, maybe it's T O O L Z tools.
- 44:58It's a ratchet and spanner.
- 45:01Well, I think we had click.
- 45:03Yeah.
- 45:04Well, again, listeners, we need your help.
- 45:06So, uh, yeah, cause maybe my, uh, marketing days are behind me when it comes
- 45:10to great ideas, I don't know you guys, this has been really fun to catch up with
- 45:14you and I wish you both the best of luck.
- 45:18The best wishes.
- 45:19I have no doubt this is going to be a success because when you
- 45:21bring two smart brains together, you create one giant brain.
- 45:25So there's another name, the giant brain.
- 45:27And we'll just keep it going.
- 45:28The giant brain.
- 45:29The giant brain.
- 45:30I can see the graphic now.
- 45:31You guys are wonderful.
- 45:33I can't thank you enough for coming back on the show and
- 45:35spending some time with me today.
- 45:36Always fun, as you can tell, to catch up with Eric and Don.
- 45:40You guys, until next time we talk, I'll see you too.
- 45:44Down the road.
- 45:45Thanks, mark.
- 45:46Thanks, mark.
- 45:47Awesome guys.
- 45:48I think we had some fun.
