- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's your person, Michelle. Guess what? I just recorded
- 0:04Speaker 1: like 17 minutes of this using the wrong input so
- 0:08Speaker 1: it wasn't going through my microphone. So I have to
- 0:10Speaker 1: start over. Awesome. Just what I wanted to do. Anyway,
- 0:14Speaker 1: I hope you're doing really okay today. I'm doing... Well,
- 0:17Speaker 1: I was doing better before I fucked that up. But
- 0:20Speaker 1: I just got my chimney repaired. Woo. Yeah. Clapping. Thank you. Um...
- 0:27Speaker 1: I'm sure you don't know because I didn't tell you,
- 0:29Speaker 1: but my chimney has for maybe several years had these
- 0:33Speaker 1: gigantic holes in the mortar between the bricks near the top. Big,
- 0:40Speaker 1: big areas where there's just not mortar anymore. And that's
- 0:44Speaker 1: not very good. And I know this. But the last
- 0:49Speaker 1: quote I got was very expensive. And they were going
- 0:51Speaker 1: to do things that I didn't understand why they would do.
- 0:55Speaker 1: So I'd just been putting it off. And then lately
- 0:58Speaker 1: I've been thinking about how the chimney is just going
- 1:00Speaker 1: to fall down and kill someone. So I got somebody
- 1:04Speaker 1: to fix it and they just finished fixing it like
- 1:06Speaker 1: a half hour ago. And it was amazing. I mean,
- 1:10Speaker 1: it was, yeah, it's amazing because now my chimney is
- 1:13Speaker 1: not scary anymore. I was going to say that that
- 1:15Speaker 1: makes me way less anxious, but I have generalized anxiety disorder.
- 1:20Speaker 1: So the anxiety just shifts somewhere else. But at least
- 1:23Speaker 1: I'm not anxious about my chimney anymore. So I want
- 1:27Speaker 1: to pretend that that's a win. It's not, though. And
- 1:30Speaker 1: if you remember, I think a couple episodes ago, I
- 1:33Speaker 1: told you that you should look at your chimney and
- 1:35Speaker 1: make sure it's okay and not leaning. I hope you
- 1:37Speaker 1: really did that. My chimney was not leaning. It was
- 1:40Speaker 1: just weird. But it's still important that your chimney doesn't
- 1:44Speaker 1: fall down. So this is your second reminder to make
- 1:47Speaker 1: sure that it's okay. Yeah, I don't... You can do
- 1:50Speaker 1: whatever you want. It's fine. I don't know. Anyway. Amazingly,
- 1:54Speaker 1: unlike the previous episodes, I am running on time again
- 1:58Speaker 1: instead of early. So I'm recording this the Tuesday before
- 2:02Speaker 1: this airs, which is kind of scary. It was much
- 2:05Speaker 1: nicer when I was recording everything super, super early, but
- 2:08Speaker 1: it just doesn't work like that forever. So I'm back
- 2:11Speaker 1: to real time. Now I'm only a couple days in
- 2:14Speaker 1: the past instead of like a month in the past.
- 2:16Speaker 1: So I could talk to you about stuff that's going
- 2:18Speaker 1: on right now, I guess, or something. But anyway, I
- 2:22Speaker 1: just wanted to, you know, quickly talk about the current
- 2:26Speaker 1: fall anime season and tell you what I'm watching a
- 2:30Speaker 1: little bit, maybe. So first of all, I'm caught up,
- 2:34Speaker 1: at least right now, because there's another episode coming out
- 2:37Speaker 1: on Wednesday, I think, with Magic Knight Rayearth, the reboot.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And honestly, I'm like really liking it, which I didn't
- 2:45Speaker 1: expect to because I watched Magic Knight Rayearth back maybe
- 2:49Speaker 1: like a couple of years ago, the original. And I
- 2:52Speaker 1: was like, wow, this is not very good. So I'm
- 2:55Speaker 1: surprised that I'm three episodes in and I'm like, yeah, man,
- 2:58Speaker 1: I'm really enjoying this. I think for me, the main
- 3:01Speaker 1: changes are hopefully, first of all, that they, um, hopefully
- 3:05Speaker 1: they will go more in the direction of the manga
- 3:08Speaker 1: instead of just changing things like the first anime did. But, um,
- 3:12Speaker 1: some of my biggest complaints with the original version is, um,
- 3:16Speaker 1: The characters getting all chibi in spots that didn't feel
- 3:19Speaker 1: like that was the right thing to do and attempts
- 3:22Speaker 1: to be like comical and having them just fall flat.
- 3:26Speaker 1: So I actually think that this adaptation so far has
- 3:29Speaker 1: fixed both of those. The characters still get chibi because
- 3:33Speaker 1: they do in the manga too, but it feels like
- 3:36Speaker 1: it's only in places that make sense, you know, that are,
- 3:39Speaker 1: you know, not serious, basically. And the kind of newer
- 3:44Speaker 1: jokes that have been put in, because there's definitely new things,
- 3:48Speaker 1: like Fu, who's one of the three main characters, really
- 3:52Speaker 1: likes role-playing games now. Like, that wasn't in the original.
- 3:55Speaker 1: So she talks about, like, role-playing games and, like, how
- 3:58Speaker 1: this is like a role-playing game a lot. And I
- 3:59Speaker 1: think it works really well. But, like, any attempt at
- 4:02Speaker 1: humor that they've done so far has actually worked nicely.
- 4:06Speaker 1: So I'm actually very happy with this so far. And
- 4:09Speaker 1: I am... Excited to see, you know, how it goes
- 4:12Speaker 1: from here because I think like the first couple of
- 4:15Speaker 1: episodes of the original anime pretty much follow the manga too.
- 4:20Speaker 1: So it's after that that we start branching out and
- 4:22Speaker 1: changing things. So I'm hoping for good things. But I
- 4:26Speaker 1: also wanted to say at the end of the last episode,
- 4:28Speaker 1: episode three, there was fucking Ferio. Ferio was there. Yay.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Now I know what you're saying. Who the fuck is Ferio?
- 4:36Speaker 1: I don't even watch this. Why are you telling me
- 4:37Speaker 1: about this? And I totally appreciate that you feel that way.
- 4:42Speaker 1: But Ferio is a character that I loved dearly as
- 4:45Speaker 1: a teenager. So I'm just like happy to see him again.
- 4:48Speaker 1: See if I still feel like a weird person who
- 4:53Speaker 1: likes anime characters like that or not. I don't know
- 4:57Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I don't want to say it anymore though.
- 4:59Speaker 1: So let's go on to a different show that I'm watching.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I'm watching From Far Away 2, which is a shoujo isekai.
- 5:08Speaker 1: actually I'm watching a lot of shoujo isekai right now
- 5:11Speaker 1: and for some reason there's like a push right now
- 5:13Speaker 1: to reboot 90s shoujo isekai because you have magic knight
- 5:17Speaker 1: rayearth which is that and obviously from far away and
- 5:20Speaker 1: then also red river that was like the good part
- 5:22Speaker 1: of isekai in my opinion so it's cool but anyway
- 5:27Speaker 1: I haven't read from far away but uh it's pretty
- 5:30Speaker 1: decent so far I'm not super jazzed about the character
- 5:34Speaker 1: designs or the animation especially not the animation but But
- 5:38Speaker 1: so far, the story's okay. You know, it's about a
- 5:40Speaker 1: girl who ends up in a different world, as you do.
- 5:43Speaker 1: And this very handsome-ish, mysterious guy with a really dark past,
- 5:49Speaker 1: because it's Shoujo, shows up and saves her. And now
- 5:53Speaker 1: they're traveling together. But they don't speak the same language.
- 5:56Speaker 1: She can't understand anybody in the world at all. And
- 6:00Speaker 1: he obviously can't understand her because, yeah. So they're traveling
- 6:05Speaker 1: and they can't understand each other. So I mean, besides
- 6:07Speaker 1: the fact that like people are trying to like capture
- 6:09Speaker 1: her and all that stuff because, yeah, she's like the
- 6:13Speaker 1: chosen thing or whatever. Like, it's interesting to see an
- 6:16Speaker 1: isekai done like this where there's a language barrier because
- 6:19Speaker 1: usually by the power of magic or whatever, everybody can
- 6:23Speaker 1: just speak everybody's language. And I understand that because otherwise
- 6:26Speaker 1: you have to do what this is doing where you
- 6:27Speaker 1: got to be like, well, we can't understand each other
- 6:29Speaker 1: and now we got to learn each other's words, which
- 6:31Speaker 1: is cool, but not whatever he wants. So I am
- 6:34Speaker 1: enjoying that so far. I think I'm like an episode
- 6:36Speaker 1: behind on that, though. And I heard terrible things about
- 6:40Speaker 1: the Red River adaptation, which I believe aired last season.
- 6:45Speaker 1: But I'm still going to watch it because fucking 90s shoujo.
- 6:48Speaker 1: So there you go. Another thing I am watching right now. No,
- 6:53Speaker 1: that's not true. I am not watching it yet, but
- 6:55Speaker 1: I should be watching is Cyberpunk Edgerunners the second season.
- 6:59Speaker 1: I'm just really, really overwhelmed and tired all the time.
- 7:03Speaker 1: And every time I try to watch something, for the
- 7:05Speaker 1: most part, it takes me like three or four times
- 7:07Speaker 1: to watch a show because I fall asleep during it
- 7:09Speaker 1: because I'm just exhausted. So I haven't started watching yet.
- 7:13Speaker 1: As of right now, there's one episode out. And I
- 7:16Speaker 1: am so excited because I really, really like the first
- 7:18Speaker 1: season of it, like a lot. Like I'm actually thinking
- 7:20Speaker 1: about doing it for the podcast because I think it's
- 7:23Speaker 1: like really, really good. And I know this is an
- 7:26Speaker 1: independent story because, you know, it is. But I'm excited
- 7:30Speaker 1: and I'm hoping that it's going to be on par
- 7:32Speaker 1: with the first season. And if it's not, because it's
- 7:35Speaker 1: a different story, it doesn't affect how I feel about
- 7:37Speaker 1: the first season, which is great. And then the other
- 7:39Speaker 1: thing I'm watching right now is Apothecary Diaries, which has
- 7:42Speaker 1: been good and sad because, you know. But that's really it.
- 7:47Speaker 1: And I'm going to stop talking about things now because, yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 1: there are plenty of other good things to watch right
- 7:53Speaker 1: now that I'm not watching. But man, like I said,
- 7:56Speaker 1: I'm really fucking overwhelmed. So that's what I got right now.
- 7:59Speaker 1: But enough of me talking about things like I just said.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Let's talk about number six, because that's what we're supposed to.
- 8:07Speaker 1: So number six, episode five is called Angel of Death.
- 8:12Speaker 1: And then underneath that in parentheses, I wrote, God, I
- 8:15Speaker 1: hope so. I don't really know why I wrote that,
- 8:17Speaker 1: but it seems kind of mean. So fuck me. After
- 8:21Speaker 1: watching this episode, I think Angel of Death is like semi-appropriate.
- 8:25Speaker 1: It feels like a lot of these episode titles have
- 8:28Speaker 1: been a little bit more threatening than they needed to be.
- 8:33Speaker 1: And I kind of agree with myself again here, but
- 8:36Speaker 1: at least I feel like it's kind of on the
- 8:38Speaker 1: right path because something is happening. So that'll be fun. Maybe.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Or not. And I don't know if you remember from
- 8:45Speaker 1: the last episode, but we ended with Shion's mom, Karin,
- 8:49Speaker 1: like holding a note from him that said that he's okay.
- 8:52Speaker 1: And her saying like, thank you, Nezumi. And that was it.
- 8:56Speaker 1: So we don't start there. Also, before I start fully,
- 9:00Speaker 1: if you were freaked out by how long I ranted
- 9:03Speaker 1: about episode four, good news. I am not going to
- 9:06Speaker 1: rant that long about episode five because I don't have
- 9:09Speaker 1: quite as much to say. So yay, I guess. Anyway,
- 9:13Speaker 1: we start just with the opening. Yay. Back from the opening.
- 9:18Speaker 1: We're like panning over those flower fields that are in
- 9:22Speaker 1: front of that like assisted living facility, nursing home, remember?
- 9:26Speaker 1: And it is snowing, which I mean, I guess maybe
- 9:29Speaker 1: it's an early snow because otherwise you'd think that the
- 9:33Speaker 1: flowers would be dead by now because usually there's like
- 9:35Speaker 1: a frost first, you know, flowers don't like just live
- 9:38Speaker 1: in the cold like that, but whatever, who knows? Anyway,
- 9:42Speaker 1: we see inside the assisted living facility or whatever, which
- 9:45Speaker 1: is called Twilight House. I just looked it up because
- 9:47Speaker 1: I forgot. and we're like in this like big room
- 9:52Speaker 1: got kind of like a wide shot of it with
- 9:54Speaker 1: like orange floors and it wasn't clear if it was
- 9:56Speaker 1: carpeted or if it's like linoleum or something and then
- 9:59Speaker 1: there are like couches on the side and like a
- 10:00Speaker 1: bunch of plants around very much I guess like a
- 10:03Speaker 1: common room for the people who you know live in
- 10:06Speaker 1: the facility also over by the window there are four
- 10:10Speaker 1: wheelchairs like looking out onto the snow and we hear
- 10:13Speaker 1: a voice say it's so beautiful here we see Safu's
- 10:17Speaker 1: grandmother which I'm just gonna call grandma and She is
- 10:20Speaker 1: sitting in a wheelchair, obviously, holding her knitting basket with
- 10:24Speaker 1: just that one knitting needle. So fucking she didn't get
- 10:27Speaker 1: another one or whatever. So I was right. Like, she
- 10:30Speaker 1: just can't knit anymore because she gave Saffu her other one?
- 10:33Speaker 1: What the fuck? Anyway, Grandma says, it truly is. The woman,
- 10:38Speaker 1: who I'm pretty sure was the person who said it
- 10:39Speaker 1: was beautiful there, that's in the wheelchair next to her,
- 10:42Speaker 1: is like, hey, I've been meaning to ask you. Grandma
- 10:45Speaker 1: looks over at her. What? The woman points at her
- 10:49Speaker 1: knitting basket and says, why do you have only one
- 10:52Speaker 1: knitting needle? Fuck, dude, get another one. Grandma smiles and
- 10:57Speaker 1: laughs and says, that's because, and she's cut off by
- 11:00Speaker 1: a voice saying, it's time for your injections, everyone. I
- 11:04Speaker 1: wonder what they inject them with. Grandma looks over, I guess,
- 11:08Speaker 1: quickly and she accidentally drops her knitting needle on the
- 11:12Speaker 1: floor and it kind of rolls away from her a little.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And she's like reaching down, like trying to get it,
- 11:17Speaker 1: but she can't from her wheelchair. And luckily, a nurse
- 11:21Speaker 1: with brown hair and glasses like walks over and picks
- 11:24Speaker 1: it up and says, here you go and hands it
- 11:26Speaker 1: back to her. And grandma's like, thank you. The nurse
- 11:30Speaker 1: smiles and we zoom in on her as she thinks, oh,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I wish I could quit this job. Fuck. Now we
- 11:38Speaker 1: see her in a red coat, holding a red umbrella,
- 11:41Speaker 1: and it's a close-up shot, so it's not clear where
- 11:43Speaker 1: she is, but obviously she's not at work anymore because
- 11:46Speaker 1: she's not in her work clothes. And she says, these
- 11:49Speaker 1: old people can't do anything for themselves, yet they're always smiling.
- 11:52Speaker 1: That really unnerves me. She is looking at a guy
- 11:56Speaker 1: on the holographic screen that, like, comes out of a
- 11:59Speaker 1: wrist cuff. The guy's like, you've been working hard. How
- 12:02Speaker 1: about I treat you to something delicious? We see now
- 12:05Speaker 1: that she's standing like on a sidewalk, I guess, on
- 12:08Speaker 1: a street that like has all these shops, like big
- 12:12Speaker 1: bright display windows and it's night and it's still snowing.
- 12:15Speaker 1: And she says, that sounds wonderful. See you later then.
- 12:19Speaker 1: She turns the screen off. And that she turns and
- 12:22Speaker 1: she looks at herself in the window of the storefront
- 12:24Speaker 1: that she's next to. She smiles and kind of chuckles
- 12:28Speaker 1: and then starts to walk away. But she stops. It
- 12:32Speaker 1: makes kind of a surprise noise and turns back and
- 12:35Speaker 1: looks at herself again. There's a black spot on her cheek,
- 12:38Speaker 1: and she watches, pretty freaked out, as it starts to grow.
- 12:42Speaker 1: She backs away from the window and kind of trips
- 12:45Speaker 1: over herself or the curb or something and loses grip
- 12:47Speaker 1: of her umbrella. So that's gone now. And she's just like,
- 12:50Speaker 1: what's happening? She puts her hands on her cheeks and
- 12:53Speaker 1: stares at herself in the glass as she begins to
- 12:55Speaker 1: age rapidly. We see her hands as she looks down
- 12:59Speaker 1: at them and they shrivel and gray. And she's like, no!
- 13:03Speaker 1: Everyone looks over because, yeah, okay. And her skin is
- 13:06Speaker 1: just continuing to gray and get liver spots. I think
- 13:09Speaker 1: that's what that is. And she cries in horror as
- 13:11Speaker 1: her now white hair just falls the fuck out of
- 13:14Speaker 1: her head and her teeth do as well. She falls
- 13:17Speaker 1: down dead. People start to gather around her. We cut
- 13:20Speaker 1: to a red flashing light and then the interior of,
- 13:23Speaker 1: I guess, an ambulance with some dude and her body
- 13:27Speaker 1: in a body bag. And the door closes. The guy
- 13:30Speaker 1: who is sitting with her, who looks like he's maybe
- 13:32Speaker 1: a doctor, but I don't know, puts... like his phone
- 13:35Speaker 1: to his ear, which I think is interesting because why
- 13:37Speaker 1: don't you just talk to people on your wrist like
- 13:39Speaker 1: everyone else does? And he says, we've retrieved the sample. Oh,
- 13:44Speaker 1: the ambulance drives off and we hear a voice say, everyone,
- 13:49Speaker 1: please come this way. The people who had gathered look
- 13:52Speaker 1: over and they see this police guy. I mean, there's
- 13:54Speaker 1: a bunch of cop cars and police in the distance,
- 13:57Speaker 1: but this one police guy is walking over and he says,
- 13:59Speaker 1: I'll be conducting an investigation into what happened here. It
- 14:03Speaker 1: won't take long. Yubi like doesn't kill these people or something.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Everyone walks over, but they seem worried and maybe a
- 14:09Speaker 1: little annoyed because they were doing shit before this. We
- 14:12Speaker 1: cut to a shot of the sky as a wasp
- 14:15Speaker 1: flies off through the falling snow. We fade out. Now
- 14:19Speaker 1: we cut to a wide shot of a city, I guess,
- 14:22Speaker 1: surrounded by water. I thought it was like an island,
- 14:25Speaker 1: but it's not. Maybe it's like a bay or something
- 14:27Speaker 1: that it's by. And there's like a big bridge between
- 14:31Speaker 1: it and something else that we can't see. And it
- 14:34Speaker 1: has like a really futuristic looking building that I can't
- 14:38Speaker 1: really explain. And the sky is blue and partly cloudy
- 14:42Speaker 1: and seagulls are crying like they do. We pan down
- 14:47Speaker 1: to a neighborhood that's across the bridge from the city.
- 14:49Speaker 1: And there are all these little yellow houses with orange
- 14:52Speaker 1: and brown roofs. We see Safu walking down the street.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Someone says, Safu! Safu stops and looks back. She's walking
- 15:00Speaker 1: up like this very steep hill. that's like flanked by
- 15:03Speaker 1: these little Tudor houses and the ocean or whatever that is,
- 15:06Speaker 1: is in the background. It's very nice and kind of
- 15:10Speaker 1: looks like maybe San Francisco or something. I mean, not
- 15:12Speaker 1: the Tudor houses, but just the general look of everything
- 15:15Speaker 1: or Pittsburgh. There's also like lots of vegetation and flowers everywhere.
- 15:20Speaker 1: And it's obviously warm out because she's wearing short sleeves.
- 15:23Speaker 1: So I guess this is in a different area of
- 15:26Speaker 1: the world where it's not winter. So anyway, these two
- 15:30Speaker 1: girls are like running down the street to catch up
- 15:33Speaker 1: with her. And there's a red haired girl and she says,
- 15:35Speaker 1: happy new year. And the black haired girl who was
- 15:38Speaker 1: also there, she's got short black hair, says, happy new year.
- 15:41Speaker 1: This is happy new year in English, by the way.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Safu is like, happy new year, Anne and Betty, also
- 15:46Speaker 1: in English. Betty, who is the girl with the black
- 15:49Speaker 1: hair and she's glasses too, says, Safu, how's your homework
- 15:53Speaker 1: for winter break coming? Safu says, I finished it, of course.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Betty gasps. All of it? That's amazing! Safu smiles. Anne
- 16:01Speaker 1: kind of like walks up in front of them and says,
- 16:03Speaker 1: I wonder. Hopefully it doesn't turn out like your report
- 16:06Speaker 1: on Botticelli. She stands really straight and kind of looks
- 16:09Speaker 1: over to the side like she's doing a presentation and says,
- 16:13Speaker 1: the proportion of tempera paint used in the birth of
- 16:15Speaker 1: Venus is... Betty starts to laugh and Safu blushes and
- 16:19Speaker 1: is like, hey Anne! Anne runs off in front of
- 16:22Speaker 1: them and Safu chases her and Betty starts to follow.
- 16:26Speaker 1: We hear Anne say, sorry, I'm sorry. And Safu's like,
- 16:29Speaker 1: you went too far this time. We pan up and
- 16:32Speaker 1: we see this really big building on the hill, like
- 16:35Speaker 1: way in front of them, like big and long and
- 16:38Speaker 1: kind of prestigious looking. And I think it's probably a university.
- 16:41Speaker 1: We get a closeup shot of the building now. And
- 16:44Speaker 1: it is like, I guess a stone building, like cut stone,
- 16:47Speaker 1: maybe it's limestone, who knows? And it has arched windows.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Like I said, it's probably the university. And we hear
- 16:53Speaker 1: someone say, Now let's have everyone present the poems they
- 16:56Speaker 1: wrote about their winter break. The teacher, who was the
- 16:58Speaker 1: person talking, says, Safu-san. Safu is seated in the back
- 17:02Speaker 1: of the classroom. It's kind of one of those auditorium
- 17:04Speaker 1: style classrooms where like the seats kind of go up.
- 17:08Speaker 1: So I guess you can see the teacher good. And
- 17:11Speaker 1: she stands and says, yes, sir. Anne looks back at
- 17:14Speaker 1: her and kind of chuckles. Safu exhales. I gaze upon
- 17:18Speaker 1: the world, the sun shining, the stars sparkling, the plants growing.
- 17:23Speaker 1: The animal's feeling, huh? And in humans, a soul resides.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I gaze upon the soul. The soul listens to the
- 17:32Speaker 1: voice of God. It breathes in its sweet fragrance, tastes
- 17:36Speaker 1: its words, and lightly touches it with outstretched fingers. We
- 17:40Speaker 1: head to her like outside, looking out at the city
- 17:43Speaker 1: across the bay. She continues. I gaze upon the world,
- 17:47Speaker 1: gaze upon the soul, and realize that the path I
- 17:50Speaker 1: walk is illuminated. The wind picks up and she smiles.
- 17:54Speaker 1: We go to the school exterior again and we see
- 17:57Speaker 1: Safu now walking through the grass. And then like around
- 18:01Speaker 1: the corner of a building, she's obviously going somewhere. And
- 18:04Speaker 1: in the shade of this building against the wall, she
- 18:07Speaker 1: sees Anne and some blonde guy kissing. Like Anne has
- 18:10Speaker 1: her back to the wall and the guy has his
- 18:12Speaker 1: hand on the wall next to her, you know, kind
- 18:15Speaker 1: of leaning down and kissing her like you do. Safu
- 18:18Speaker 1: stops walking, and they happen to also stop kissing at
- 18:22Speaker 1: this point, and they look over at her. The guy
- 18:24Speaker 1: is blushing. Anne stares for a second before she connects
- 18:27Speaker 1: what is happening and is like, Safu! She looks down
- 18:31Speaker 1: and blushes like she's ashamed. The guy looks stressed and says, Hey, Safu!
- 18:38Speaker 1: Safu smiles and waves and is like, Hi, Roy and Anne!
- 18:41Speaker 1: And then she starts to walk away like this is
- 18:43Speaker 1: no big deal. We hear Anne say, Safu! Safu stops
- 18:47Speaker 1: and looks back at them again, and they're starting to
- 18:49Speaker 1: walk over to her, and Anne says, Can I ask
- 18:52Speaker 1: you to keep this a secret from everyone? Safu's like, Why?
- 18:56Speaker 1: There's no need to be embarrassed about kissing. That's true.
- 19:00Speaker 1: It's a display of our desire to reproduce. Yeah, Roy
- 19:04Speaker 1: and Anne look kind of freaked out by that, Safu continues,
- 19:07Speaker 1: as well as a movement-based expression of such. Anne and
- 19:11Speaker 1: Roy kind of look at each other for a second,
- 19:13Speaker 1: and then Anne starts to laugh and is like, Safu,
- 19:16Speaker 1: that's at least something that hasn't changed about you since
- 19:18Speaker 1: you came to number five. Safu looks confused. What do
- 19:22Speaker 1: you mean? Anne says, it means you've changed in every
- 19:25Speaker 1: other way. Anne and the guy start to walk off,
- 19:29Speaker 1: and Anne has her arm around his, and she says,
- 19:33Speaker 1: your poem was truly wonderful. I thought it was just, like,
- 19:37Speaker 1: really okay, but sure. Safu just kind of stares after them.
- 19:41Speaker 1: We hear Shion now say, You have rightly chosen, said God.
- 19:46Speaker 1: We get too close up of him looking down, maybe
- 19:48Speaker 1: reading a book, but we can't see it. And he continues,
- 19:52Speaker 1: for in my garden of paradise, this little bird shall
- 19:54Speaker 1: sing for everyone. We see that he is sitting on
- 19:57Speaker 1: the floor in Nezumi's room and there are like two
- 19:59Speaker 1: kids sitting in front of him, a little boy and
- 20:01Speaker 1: a little girl. And Nezumi is on his bed, lying down,
- 20:05Speaker 1: facing away from them towards the wall. And also, like,
- 20:08Speaker 1: there's just a big brown dog in the corner of
- 20:10Speaker 1: the room just hanging out. I don't know what this
- 20:13Speaker 1: dog is doing there. Anyway, Shion continues. And in my
- 20:17Speaker 1: city of gold, the happy prince shall praise me. The end.
- 20:21Speaker 1: He closes the book. That, I guess, was the happy prince.
- 20:25Speaker 1: The girl's like, that was great. The boy says, can
- 20:28Speaker 1: we come again tomorrow, too? Shion's like, of course. Oh,
- 20:32Speaker 1: that's right. We have some leftover soup. Would you like
- 20:34Speaker 1: some before you leave? He stands up. The boy looks
- 20:37Speaker 1: like so excited because he is always hungry. And I
- 20:41Speaker 1: know that from the light novel. But the girl just
- 20:43Speaker 1: like starts to shake her head and she says, no,
- 20:45Speaker 1: it's OK. Mom said we'd be able to eat dinner tonight. Oh,
- 20:49Speaker 1: Shion smiles like a little bit. And we cut to
- 20:52Speaker 1: the kids standing at the top of the stairs, like
- 20:55Speaker 1: down to that basement area where Nezumi lives. The boy
- 20:57Speaker 1: waves like down at Shion and the girl says, see
- 21:00Speaker 1: you later, Shion. Bye. But she says sayonara, which was weird.
- 21:05Speaker 1: And the boy's like, bye-bye. And then Shion waves and says, sayonara,
- 21:08Speaker 1: Karen and Riko. I don't know why everyone's saying sayonara.
- 21:12Speaker 1: I guess we're just being super, super polite for some reason.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Because I'm pretty sure they're coming back tomorrow. But whatever.
- 21:19Speaker 1: We hear them walk off because we're like looking at
- 21:21Speaker 1: Shion now. And Shion turns back and heads back in
- 21:26Speaker 1: and kind of exits the frame. We hear Nezumi say,
- 21:29Speaker 1: you're still such an idiot. Shion closes the door behind
- 21:32Speaker 1: him and looks at Nezumi and is like, me? Why? Nezumi,
- 21:36Speaker 1: who is still on the bed facing away from him
- 21:38Speaker 1: towards the wall, says, random acts of kindness won't get
- 21:42Speaker 1: you anywhere in a place like this. Sure, dude. Shion's like,
- 21:47Speaker 1: then you're an idiot too. You've been showing them kindness
- 21:50Speaker 1: as well. Ooh, I guess. Nezumi's kind of like, huh?
- 21:54Speaker 1: Shion continues, that sweater that Kanon was wearing? Nezumi, like,
- 21:59Speaker 1: lets out a slight gasp. Shion continues, was the one
- 22:02Speaker 1: that I gave you four years ago. And then I
- 22:05Speaker 1: was like, what? And so I had to go back
- 22:07Speaker 1: and look and make sure. And yeah, it was the
- 22:09Speaker 1: sweater that Safu gave to Shion that Shion let Nezumi wear.
- 22:13Speaker 1: And I guess he took it home. So yeah, yeah,
- 22:17Speaker 1: that tracks. Anyway, Nezumi looks kind of ashamed now. And
- 22:22Speaker 1: Shion continues, when did you give it to her? Nezumi
- 22:25Speaker 1: closes his eyes and sighs and actually gets up. And
- 22:28Speaker 1: Shion says, you going to work? You've been going out
- 22:31Speaker 1: every day lately. Yeah, people who work have to go
- 22:34Speaker 1: to their jobs. Nezumi, who is like partially off screen,
- 22:38Speaker 1: but clearly doing something, maybe getting fully dressed, I can't tell,
- 22:42Speaker 1: like rustling around, says, It's because I have an altruistic roommate,
- 22:46Speaker 1: he's walking towards the door, who surrounds himself with neighborhood
- 22:49Speaker 1: children simply because one of them has the same name
- 22:52Speaker 1: as his mother. Yeah, there's a katan there. There are
- 22:55Speaker 1: two katans now. He continues, I need to earn enough
- 22:59Speaker 1: money to move out before this place becomes a kindergarten.
- 23:02Speaker 1: We hear the door open and we see him start
- 23:04Speaker 1: to walk out and Shion's like, Nezumi? Nezumi stops. Would
- 23:09Speaker 1: I be able to come with you? I'd like to see. Aw.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Nezumi grits his teeth. No! Shit, dude. Shion gasps and
- 23:20Speaker 1: the dog looks up too. Nezumi, who is in the
- 23:22Speaker 1: doorway now, looking towards the hall, is silent for a
- 23:25Speaker 1: second and then says, Just because you've gotten used to
- 23:28Speaker 1: living here. It doesn't change the fact that you're a
- 23:30Speaker 1: clueless brat from the ignorant and prideful number six. He
- 23:34Speaker 1: shuts the door. Fuck dude. We cut to the exterior of,
- 23:38Speaker 1: you know, Inukashi's hotel and people are like walking down
- 23:41Speaker 1: the street and shit. We hear Inukashi laughing and we
- 23:45Speaker 1: cut to Shion who's scrubbing a dog, you know, in
- 23:47Speaker 1: the courtyard as she laughs. She's sitting on like the
- 23:50Speaker 1: side of the fountain, by the way. And she is
- 23:53Speaker 1: just totally out of breath from laughing at this point.
- 23:55Speaker 1: And she says, What did you expect? You'll never be
- 23:58Speaker 1: able to understand Nezumi. He's a beast in human clothing. Actually,
- 24:02Speaker 1: she said yokai, which is more like a spirit or
- 24:05Speaker 1: something than a beast, but whatever. Shion's like, I wonder
- 24:09Speaker 1: why Nezumi hates number six so much. Inukashi says, I've
- 24:12Speaker 1: got no idea. Shion's like, what does he want to accomplish?
- 24:17Speaker 1: Inukashi says, I don't even know. She's like petting a
- 24:20Speaker 1: really small dog next to her. I have no interest
- 24:22Speaker 1: in number six anyways. We hear a voice, which sounds
- 24:26Speaker 1: a lot like Rikiga, so maybe it is, say, though
- 24:28Speaker 1: you sure seem to know a lot about it. We
- 24:31Speaker 1: see feet in like dress shoes walking over and then stopping.
- 24:35Speaker 1: And it is Rikiga. He's just kind of looking around
- 24:37Speaker 1: and he has his hands in his pockets. And Shion's like, Rikiga-san, um,
- 24:43Speaker 1: you sound so happy to see him. Didn't you just
- 24:48Speaker 1: try to kill him last time you guys met in
- 24:50Speaker 1: the last episode, Shion? Anyway, Rikiga's like, huh? He looks
- 24:55Speaker 1: up and starts to walk over. I guess he finally
- 24:58Speaker 1: saw Shion and says, Shion, you've been working in a
- 25:00Speaker 1: place like this? Inukashi looks fucking pissed now. Rikiga walks
- 25:05Speaker 1: over and sits down on the edge of the fountain
- 25:08Speaker 1: and he pulls a flask out of his jacket. Obviously,
- 25:11Speaker 1: he is also not weirded out by the fact that
- 25:15Speaker 1: Shion almost killed him a couple of days ago. What
- 25:17Speaker 1: the fuck, guys? Anyway, Inukashi says, you're Rikiga, right? I
- 25:22Speaker 1: heard you've been racking up a fortune making use of women. Hmm.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Rikika's like, you're one to talk. I heard you're a smuggler.
- 25:29Speaker 1: You steal scraps of food and clothing from the correctional
- 25:32Speaker 1: facility and move them directly into West Block's black market.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Using those dogs of yours, that is. Yeah, I'm totally
- 25:38Speaker 1: okay with her doing that. That doesn't sound bad at all.
- 25:41Speaker 1: He takes a swig of his alcohol from his flask.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Shion looks surprised and turns to Inukashi and says, the
- 25:49Speaker 1: correctional facility? Hmm. Rikiga says, seems like it's pretty profitable too.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Inukashi still looks really pissed off. Rikiga continues, you're probably
- 25:59Speaker 1: making about as much as a low-level janitor now, right?
- 26:03Speaker 1: Fuck you, dude. Inukashi narrows her eyes, yeah, and all
- 26:07Speaker 1: the dogs kind of like get up and start to growl.
- 26:10Speaker 1: They kind of stare at each other for minutes, and
- 26:13Speaker 1: then Inukashi kind of looks over-surprised, and Rikiga's like, hmm? Oh,
- 26:17Speaker 1: it's that brown mouse. That totally has a name, but
- 26:20Speaker 1: I forgot what it is. But it's gonna come up,
- 26:22Speaker 1: so I'll just wait for that. It squeaks. He just
- 26:25Speaker 1: screams and stands up, spilling his alcohol. And he, like,
- 26:29Speaker 1: falls back on his ass and starts scooting backwards away
- 26:31Speaker 1: from this mouse. He points and is like, a rat!
- 26:34Speaker 1: A rat! Quick, someone chase it away! He's, like, screaming
- 26:38Speaker 1: and shit. Inukashi doubles over with laughter. And she's, like,
- 26:41Speaker 1: slapping her leg like that. And she says, weren't you
- 26:45Speaker 1: a fan of Nezumi's? Rikiga throws his hat on the
- 26:49Speaker 1: ground in disgust, I think, and says, shut up, I'm
- 26:52Speaker 1: not anymore. At this point, the mouse runs over to
- 26:55Speaker 1: him like on the fountain ledge and squeaks again. And
- 26:57Speaker 1: Rikiga's like, huh? And he looks over and screams in
- 26:59Speaker 1: horror because he didn't realize the mouse had moved and
- 27:01Speaker 1: scoots back again. And he's like, that's enough already. Just
- 27:04Speaker 1: do something about that thing. We hear Shion say, over here, Kravat.
- 27:09Speaker 1: That's the mouse's name. Cravat runs over and Shion picks
- 27:12Speaker 1: him up in his hand. And Rikiga is, like, starting
- 27:15Speaker 1: to get himself together. And he, like, pantomimes, like, drinking
- 27:19Speaker 1: from his flask. Like, he didn't even realize he wasn't
- 27:21Speaker 1: holding it. And then, I guess, when he doesn't get
- 27:23Speaker 1: any alcohol, he realizes that it's not in his hand anymore.
- 27:26Speaker 1: And he starts looking around for it. He finally finds
- 27:29Speaker 1: it behind him on the ground, completely spilled all over.
- 27:33Speaker 1: He gasps. My booze. And slumps over. Inukashi says... what
- 27:38Speaker 1: the hell did you come here for, old man? Rikiga
- 27:41Speaker 1: makes kind of like a frustrated sound. It stands up,
- 27:43Speaker 1: puts on his hat that he threw down in disgust
- 27:45Speaker 1: a few minutes ago and says, for information. I want
- 27:49Speaker 1: some information. We hear Inukashi say, what kind? Depending on
- 27:53Speaker 1: what you ask, it'll cost you. Rikiga's like, we may
- 27:57Speaker 1: as well barter with goods. To tell the truth, I've
- 28:00Speaker 1: heard some strange news. Inukashi and Shion turn and look
- 28:04Speaker 1: at each other. We cut to a reddish pink wallpapered
- 28:07Speaker 1: room Specifically the room that Inukashi took Shion and Nezumi to,
- 28:12Speaker 1: I think in like episode two or whatever. It's just
- 28:14Speaker 1: kind of this once was very nice room that's, you know,
- 28:17Speaker 1: kind of worn. And Inukashi says, an incident number six.
- 28:23Speaker 1: She is on the couch and Shion and Rikiga are
- 28:25Speaker 1: standing before her, basically. Rikiga says, yeah, more accurately, I
- 28:31Speaker 1: suppose it's more like a strange disease. Healthy humans who
- 28:35Speaker 1: age instantly and die within seconds. Oh, we know that one.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Shion clenches his fist. Inukashi's like, What kind of story
- 28:43Speaker 1: is that? Surely it's just a baseless rumor. Rikika says,
- 28:46Speaker 1: One of my girls heard it from a regular at
- 28:48Speaker 1: the sanitation bureau. You can at least be assured that
- 28:51Speaker 1: it's not merely a rumor. He's quiet for a second. Well,
- 28:54Speaker 1: have you come across anything like that? Inukashi crosses her
- 28:58Speaker 1: arms and looks away. Then we hear Shion say, The
- 29:01Speaker 1: parasitic wasps. They're both like, What? And they turn and
- 29:05Speaker 1: look at Shion. Shion continues, The parasitic wasps are active. Yeah,
- 29:10Speaker 1: about that. The camera starts to, like, shake around like
- 29:15Speaker 1: the gimbal isn't working right. And Shion continues. But why?
- 29:19Speaker 1: It's still winter. I can explain. And I will do
- 29:23Speaker 1: so after this scene. So just hold that thought. Inukashi
- 29:27Speaker 1: grabs Shion's shoulder and says, Shion. Now that you mention it,
- 29:31Speaker 1: you were saying something about that when we first met, right?
- 29:33Speaker 1: Tell me everything you know. Shion is sweating and looks
- 29:36Speaker 1: really fucking freaked out and says, There are parasitic wasps
- 29:39Speaker 1: that prey on people. I even knew two people who
- 29:42Speaker 1: died from it. We get this kind of like weird
- 29:44Speaker 1: shot from above and the room starts to spin slowly.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Inukashi and Riki kind of gasp and Shion continues, Once infected,
- 29:53Speaker 1: the host will age instantly and begin to die. He
- 29:56Speaker 1: puts his hand on his neck. The wasp hatches from
- 29:59Speaker 1: the base of your neck. Rikiga's like, there's no way.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Shion continues. I was almost killed by one of them.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Rikiga gasps. Shion puts his hand on his face. This hair,
- 30:11Speaker 1: these eyes, this red pattern on my body are all
- 30:14Speaker 1: indications of it. Nezumi saved me. If he hadn't been there,
- 30:18Speaker 1: I'd be. He gasps. I have to tell him. And
- 30:23Speaker 1: Yukashi's like, Nezumi? Isn't he after number six? If you
- 30:26Speaker 1: tell him, he'll only be thrilled. That's exactly correct. Yeah.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Shion says, I have to tell Nezumi. We go to black. Okay.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Before we go any further, I can explain why they're
- 30:39Speaker 1: still active in the winter, even though Shion and Nezumi
- 30:42Speaker 1: thought that they wouldn't be. So people live in climate
- 30:46Speaker 1: controlled environments. So the wasps aren't going to feel like
- 30:50Speaker 1: they have to hibernate because it's winter because they're living
- 30:53Speaker 1: in a person in a house. So yeah, that's, that's why.
- 30:58Speaker 1: That's why they're not sticking to what you would think
- 31:00Speaker 1: a normal life cycle is. Or they're like magic or something.
- 31:03Speaker 1: I don't know. But that's my guess. Anyway, we fade
- 31:07Speaker 1: into a large, maybe metal, weird building. It's like, you know,
- 31:11Speaker 1: kind of futuristic with three buses parked out in front
- 31:14Speaker 1: of it. We cut to Safu who's staring up at it,
- 31:16Speaker 1: like pretty impressed. And Anne and Betty walk over and
- 31:20Speaker 1: Anne says, are you that surprised to see a museum?
- 31:24Speaker 1: I don't think there are museums in number six. Safu's like, geez.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Anne chuckles. We hear a voice, who I believe is
- 31:30Speaker 1: the teacher, say, Okay, everyone. Safu turns. We get an
- 31:34Speaker 1: overhead shot of everybody and the teacher probably continues, Let's
- 31:39Speaker 1: line up single file. Now we go to the kind
- 31:43Speaker 1: of bigger city part of West Block, the bigger buildings,
- 31:46Speaker 1: you know, lit up at night. We see a guy
- 31:49Speaker 1: with like a mustache wearing a suit looking kind of stressed.
- 31:53Speaker 1: And he's like, One at a time, everyone. There's a
- 31:57Speaker 1: crowd kind of gathered around a building. And the guy says,
- 32:00Speaker 1: please line up single file. Today is the final performance
- 32:03Speaker 1: of Hamlet. Huh. Hamlet. Rikiga and Shion are standing in
- 32:08Speaker 1: the back of the crowd. And the crowd, as far
- 32:10Speaker 1: as I can tell from the little bit that we
- 32:13Speaker 1: got of this, is just men. Yep. Maybe only men
- 32:17Speaker 1: go to the theater. I don't know. Rikiga's like, how
- 32:21Speaker 1: long are they going to make us wait? We hear
- 32:23Speaker 1: that guy say, hurry up, hurry up. Rikiga looks over
- 32:26Speaker 1: at Shion and notices that he is just kind of
- 32:28Speaker 1: staring off and says, huh, what's wrong? Shion's like, I'm
- 32:33Speaker 1: a little afraid. Rikiga says, afraid? Shion continues, of knowing
- 32:39Speaker 1: more about Nezumi. When I told him I wanted to
- 32:42Speaker 1: see him on stage, he got really angry. I wonder
- 32:45Speaker 1: if it means I'll be seeing something I shouldn't. Um, yeah,
- 32:50Speaker 1: he explicitly told you not to go. So the answer
- 32:54Speaker 1: to that question is, Yes. Rikiya just kind of slaps
- 32:58Speaker 1: him on the back, but like hard enough to make
- 32:59Speaker 1: him stumble forward and says, get it together. It was
- 33:02Speaker 1: you who said you wanted to tell them about the
- 33:03Speaker 1: wasps as soon as possible. Man, you're actually the exact
- 33:07Speaker 1: opposite of Karin, aren't you? Shion looks away. We cut
- 33:11Speaker 1: to a crest with like a unicorn and a lion
- 33:14Speaker 1: on either side of it. And we hear a voice
- 33:17Speaker 1: that might be a teacher or a tour guide, I
- 33:19Speaker 1: don't know, say, long ago, there was a country called England.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Further proof that this is set in our world. This
- 33:26Speaker 1: is its national emblem. Students are, like, standing around a
- 33:29Speaker 1: painting in this museum. And the person continues, Or rather,
- 33:34Speaker 1: it's the king's coat of arms. I drew a bunch
- 33:37Speaker 1: of arms here. That is weird, Michelle. On each side
- 33:42Speaker 1: of the shield, a lion and unicorn can be seen
- 33:45Speaker 1: supporting it. Saffu is staring up at it, super excited.
- 33:50Speaker 1: The person continues, If you look closely... You'll notice that
- 33:53Speaker 1: the unicorn is bound by a chain. This is because
- 33:56Speaker 1: unicorns were known to be dangerous animals and... What? Okay.
- 34:02Speaker 1: We cut to feet walking up like rotten creaking stairs.
- 34:05Speaker 1: It's freaky guh. And then he's walking quickly through, I
- 34:09Speaker 1: wasn't sure what this was, but it is like a
- 34:11Speaker 1: hallway somewhere. And he's like, shit, it's already started. He
- 34:16Speaker 1: pushes open these like red double doors and Shion like
- 34:20Speaker 1: runs up behind him. And the doors open onto a
- 34:23Speaker 1: balcony of a theater. And they start to walk in.
- 34:27Speaker 1: We hear a voice say, To be or not to be?
- 34:30Speaker 1: That is the question. Shion stares down at the stage
- 34:34Speaker 1: in awe, I guess, as the doors shut behind him.
- 34:37Speaker 1: And then he slowly starts to walk over to where
- 34:39Speaker 1: Rikiga is already seated. The voice continues, The fair Ophelia.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Shion is just kind of blindly walking now, and he
- 34:47Speaker 1: starts to walk past Rikiga, and Rikiga, like, grabs him
- 34:50Speaker 1: by his coat and, like, pulls him down into the
- 34:52Speaker 1: seat next to him. The voice continues. Are you honest?
- 34:55Speaker 1: Are you fair? I am not good at Shakespeare, guys,
- 34:59Speaker 1: so if I'm not doing this justice, I am very sorry.
- 35:01Speaker 1: I just don't get Shakespeare, and I'm, you know, not
- 35:07Speaker 1: a great person because of it. Shion, I guess, confused
- 35:10Speaker 1: about being pulled down, looks over at Rikiga and Rikiga
- 35:13Speaker 1: motions with his head to the stage. Shion turns again
- 35:17Speaker 1: to watch. We hear someone else say, what means your lordship?
- 35:21Speaker 1: Shion gasps in wonder because he's never seen any sort
- 35:25Speaker 1: of art at all, I think. And actually, this is
- 35:28Speaker 1: a nice parallel between him seeing performance art and Saffu
- 35:32Speaker 1: seeing visual art at the same time. Anyway. There are
- 35:35Speaker 1: two people on the stage. It's like a very sparse stage.
- 35:38Speaker 1: There's like one like pedestal kind of sitting in the
- 35:41Speaker 1: middle of it. But otherwise, there's no other decorations. The
- 35:44Speaker 1: back wall of the, you know, the stage area is
- 35:48Speaker 1: like fucked up, like it's missing plaster and shit. And
- 35:51Speaker 1: there's curtains, but really nothing else except for these two people.
- 35:54Speaker 1: One of them has their back to the audience, clearly
- 35:56Speaker 1: a guy. And the other one is like on the floor,
- 36:00Speaker 1: like all the way on the floor, like down kneeling
- 36:03Speaker 1: sort of. And that looks like a woman. Also, we're
- 36:06Speaker 1: seeing this all from the balcony where Shion is. So
- 36:08Speaker 1: we can't really see their faces. They're tiny. Anyway, the
- 36:12Speaker 1: guy says, I did love thee once. The other person,
- 36:16Speaker 1: the woman, I guess, lifts their head and says, Indeed,
- 36:20Speaker 1: my lord, you made me believe so. The man turns.
- 36:23Speaker 1: You should have not believed me. I loved you not.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Rikika quietly is like, that's Eve. The guy says, get
- 36:31Speaker 1: thee to a nunnery and walks off stage. Shion's like, huh?
- 36:36Speaker 1: Rikiya says, look, Eve's right there. Shion gasps. Whoa, that
- 36:42Speaker 1: lady is Nezumi. Nezumi stands and we're like seeing him
- 36:47Speaker 1: from behind on the stage now. His hair is like
- 36:50Speaker 1: super long, so maybe he has extensions in or something.
- 36:52Speaker 1: I'm not sure. And he says, oh, help him, you
- 36:57Speaker 1: sweet heavens. He is wearing a dress, by the way,
- 37:00Speaker 1: and I think he has lipstick on. And he's got
- 37:02Speaker 1: like a white flower in his hair. He looks very pretty.
- 37:06Speaker 1: He continues. Oh, heavenly powers restore him. He's like tears
- 37:10Speaker 1: in his eyes. Shion is fucking entranced by this. And
- 37:15Speaker 1: he says, Nezumi? Nezumi continues. And I, Ophelia? And he
- 37:20Speaker 1: looks up and notices Shion. He drops his head, kind
- 37:24Speaker 1: of panicking slightly, but then exhales. We cut to feet
- 37:28Speaker 1: as they step forward in blue light. It's Safu. She's
- 37:31Speaker 1: looking at stained glass on the wall in front of
- 37:34Speaker 1: her with bees. It's like stained glass of bees, which
- 37:38Speaker 1: is cool. Like, it's really cool. It's blue with bees.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Like I just said, there's three bees, you know, like
- 37:43Speaker 1: the insect, not like a bee, like the letter. So
- 37:46Speaker 1: it fits with the show, but also like, I don't
- 37:49Speaker 1: know what this is. Anyway, it's really pretty though. And
- 37:52Speaker 1: she's like in the light. The blue light is streaming
- 37:55Speaker 1: in on her and she smiles like super brightly. We
- 37:59Speaker 1: cut back to Nezumi as he stands up And I,
- 38:02Speaker 1: of ladies most dejected and wretched, cut to green hills,
- 38:07Speaker 1: breeze blowing through the grass. And as it does, back
- 38:11Speaker 1: to Nezumi as his hair blows back. To Safu now,
- 38:16Speaker 1: as her hair blows towards her. We see that she's
- 38:18Speaker 1: holding a book called The Art of Something. I can't
- 38:21Speaker 1: see the rest of it to her chest. Now back
- 38:24Speaker 1: to Nezumi. The audience looks amazed at his performance. His
- 38:27Speaker 1: hand drops to his side, kind of limp. And like
- 38:31Speaker 1: a song starts up in the background. It has lyrics.
- 38:34Speaker 1: I'm just going to read the lyrics really quick before
- 38:37Speaker 1: we continue. It's kind of like this choral. It sounds
- 38:39Speaker 1: very church-like song. I actually really like this here. It
- 38:45Speaker 1: worked perfectly, in my opinion. Anyway, the lyrics are, Humans
- 38:49Speaker 1: steal our hearts. Oh, earth. Oh, wind and rain. Oh, heaven. Oh, light.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Hold everything within your embrace and begin your life here. Anyway,
- 38:58Speaker 1: that is... in the background very slowly, obviously. And Nezumi
- 39:04Speaker 1: at this point stumbles on the stage, catching himself on
- 39:07Speaker 1: that like pedestal thing that's in the middle. And Shion
- 39:10Speaker 1: gasps and stands up. Nezumi looks pretty fucking stressed and
- 39:14Speaker 1: he's breathing really hard. We cut to Safu, her eyes widen.
- 39:19Speaker 1: And then back to Nezumi, his hand on his head
- 39:22Speaker 1: as it shakes. He's clearly in pain. He reaches out
- 39:26Speaker 1: and he seems to be trying to say something. We
- 39:29Speaker 1: get a close-up. shot of his eye as white flower petals,
- 39:33Speaker 1: I think from the flower in his hair, like drift
- 39:36Speaker 1: in front of them. Then he collapses. We cut to
- 39:40Speaker 1: Safu on the ground in the blue light from the
- 39:43Speaker 1: stained glass, paper scattered all around her. We hear a
- 39:46Speaker 1: voice say, Safu? And then someone else, Safu? We go
- 39:50Speaker 1: to Black. I actually really liked this scene. This might
- 39:55Speaker 1: be my favorite scene in the show so far. I
- 39:59Speaker 1: loved the juxtaposition, the kind of back and forth, the
- 40:02Speaker 1: parallels between what's happening with these two characters. It's weird
- 40:06Speaker 1: that it's happening at the same time. Why is it
- 40:08Speaker 1: happening at the same time? What does this mean? But,
- 40:12Speaker 1: you know, everything from first paralleling Safu and Shion about
- 40:17Speaker 1: discovering basically art and how amazing it is which was
- 40:21Speaker 1: pretty cool to Safu and Nezumi as they both collapse
- 40:28Speaker 1: so I really like this is what I'm trying to
- 40:30Speaker 1: say we're now looking up through like tall green grass
- 40:35Speaker 1: like we're like in the grass and the sky is
- 40:39Speaker 1: blue with some clouds above us they move quickly overhead
- 40:43Speaker 1: as the grass blows And now we see Nezumi laying
- 40:47Speaker 1: down in this grass. It's like a pocket. It's so tall.
- 40:50Speaker 1: It's like enveloping him. And we hear a voice say, come.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Nezumi's like, who's there? A bee flies through the sky. What?
- 41:00Speaker 1: And the voice says, look this way. I'll teach you
- 41:04Speaker 1: a song. Nezumi, who isn't moving at all, just laying there, says,
- 41:09Speaker 1: stop it. The bee in the sky is joined by
- 41:11Speaker 1: like a whole swarm of them now and When we
- 41:14Speaker 1: cut back to Nezumi, he's a child. And the voice says,
- 41:18Speaker 1: I'll teach you a song to go on living. A
- 41:20Speaker 1: song of devotion, of coming praise. Nezumi's eyes widen and
- 41:25Speaker 1: he says, stop! The sky is now red and the
- 41:28Speaker 1: bees are moving closer. And we cut to hands sinking
- 41:31Speaker 1: into like black something that looks like maybe it's supposed
- 41:34Speaker 1: to be mud. I don't know. And... Nezumi is maybe
- 41:39Speaker 1: a different age now. He's definitely not as old as
- 41:42Speaker 1: he is, but he's got like longer hair than the
- 41:44Speaker 1: kid that we knew him as and different clothes. And
- 41:47Speaker 1: he is trying to pull his arms out of this
- 41:49Speaker 1: like thick muck. And he says, help. He raises his
- 41:53Speaker 1: arm and some of the mud flies off. Someone please
- 41:56Speaker 1: save me. We're basically focusing on his arm reaching out
- 42:00Speaker 1: and he's just like totally panicking. And my screen froze
- 42:03Speaker 1: over here and I couldn't fix it. So I might've
- 42:04Speaker 1: missed something. And then he says, Shion. Aw! Shion's arm
- 42:10Speaker 1: reaches down and grabs his wrist. What? Cool! Nezumi gasps.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Shion is standing over him. Nezumi! We see that Nezumi
- 42:19Speaker 1: is on a bed and Shion is leaning down over him.
- 42:23Speaker 1: He's still wearing a dress, by the way. He opens
- 42:25Speaker 1: his eyes slowly. We see that Shion is holding his hand.
- 42:29Speaker 1: When Nezumi realizes this is happening, his hand kind of
- 42:32Speaker 1: twitches and he says, Shion... Shion is, like, right in
- 42:36Speaker 1: his face, leaning over him. And he says, Are you okay?
- 42:41Speaker 1: You recognize me, right? Nezumi's expression changes, but I don't
- 42:44Speaker 1: know what to. I was confused. He sits up, and Shion, like,
- 42:49Speaker 1: backs off a bit. And we see that they are
- 42:51Speaker 1: in his room, which, wow, I guess somebody carried him back.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Probably Rihiga? Anyway, Nezumi says, Somewhat. He puts his hand
- 43:00Speaker 1: on his head. He is sitting up now. And Shion says,
- 43:04Speaker 1: Is it okay for you to get up? Nezumi's like,
- 43:07Speaker 1: was it you who carried me here? Shion says, what's
- 43:10Speaker 1: three plus seven? Nezumi's like, huh? Shion says, answer me.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Three plus seven equals? Nezumi's expression falls slightly. Ten. Shion says, okay,
- 43:22Speaker 1: what's three times seven? We don't even know if Nezumi
- 43:25Speaker 1: can do math, but whatever. Nezumi sighs. Shion, come on.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Shion's like, answer me already. Jeez, dude. Nezumi says, 21.
- 43:36Speaker 1: Shion's like, okay, what? Nezumi cuts him off. That's enough.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Shion gasps. Nezumi's like, why'd you come to the theater?
- 43:44Speaker 1: That place is filled with savages. Uh, really? He stands.
- 43:48Speaker 1: People like that would eat you alive in one, and
- 43:50Speaker 1: then he just collapses. Shion catches him. You should stay still.
- 43:55Speaker 1: If you make sudden movements- Nezumi cuts him off. Shut up!
- 43:58Speaker 1: And pushes Shion off of him. He- obviously didn't mean
- 44:02Speaker 1: to do that because he gasps and shion gasps nezumi
- 44:07Speaker 1: looks a little embarrassed and he kind of shifts his
- 44:09Speaker 1: eyes away what the fuck is happening i'll talk about
- 44:14Speaker 1: this at the end shion's like nezumi what happened to
- 44:18Speaker 1: you back there nezumi's like the wind blew shion says
- 44:23Speaker 1: the wind nezumi's like yeah the wind and then we
- 44:28Speaker 1: cut to safu i heard a song Oh, fuck, the
- 44:31Speaker 1: song is integrated. Safu is sitting in a hospital bed,
- 44:35Speaker 1: and Anne is standing at her bedside, and she says,
- 44:38Speaker 1: A song? Safu says, Yeah, and then, Nezumi. She looks
- 44:44Speaker 1: worried and thinks, Who's Nezumi she on? Fuck. How are
- 44:49Speaker 1: they connected? We hear the door open, and a voice says, Safu-san!
- 44:54Speaker 1: Safu looks up and kind of gasps. It's what I
- 44:57Speaker 1: believe to be the teacher. She comes in, and Safu's like, Sensei,
- 45:01Speaker 1: I'm sorry to have worried you. I'm fine now. The
- 45:05Speaker 1: teacher is like, I'm so glad. You'll be returning home immediately.
- 45:09Speaker 1: To number six. What? Sappo and Anne are both like, huh?
- 45:14Speaker 1: The teacher continues, stay strong now. Fuck! She's silent for
- 45:18Speaker 1: a second. Your grandmother? Damn it! And we cut to
- 45:21Speaker 1: an overhead shot of the stairs to, like, Nezumi's hallway
- 45:25Speaker 1: to his room. And Nezumi says, are you sure? He
- 45:29Speaker 1: and Shion are sitting on the couch. Shion's like, we
- 45:32Speaker 1: heard it straight from Riki-kasan. He described people who suddenly
- 45:35Speaker 1: age and die without a moment's notice. We can't risk
- 45:38Speaker 1: doubting him. Nezumi leans back and kind of looks up
- 45:41Speaker 1: at the ceiling, dazed a bit. He did just, you know,
- 45:44Speaker 1: pass out and shit for a while. So, yeah. Shion says, Nezumi,
- 45:50Speaker 1: I was... At that time, I was... Nezumi, still staring
- 45:56Speaker 1: at the ceiling, says, it wasn't a wasp. Shion gasps.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Nezumi continues, I didn't pass out because of a wasp.
- 46:04Speaker 1: He smiles and sits up straight again. Guess I wouldn't
- 46:06Speaker 1: mind having the same makeover as you, though. Shion's like, Nezumi!
- 46:11Speaker 1: Nezumi chuckles and he sets the mug that he was
- 46:14Speaker 1: drinking out of down on the table and says, Nevertheless,
- 46:17Speaker 1: those wasps can be active in the winter, huh? We
- 46:20Speaker 1: may even be able to observe number six being eaten
- 46:23Speaker 1: alive before the advent of the holy day. He looks
- 46:26Speaker 1: over at Shion and chuckles. Let's have an early celebration.
- 46:30Speaker 1: He grabs Shion by the wrist and pulls him off
- 46:33Speaker 1: the couch. We cut to the sheet music on the
- 46:35Speaker 1: wall and we hear Shion say, you should be resting.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Nezumi says, I'll teach you to dance. Oh, he continues.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Do you have any experience? His hand is around Shion's
- 46:48Speaker 1: waist now and he pulls him closer. Shion's like, of
- 46:51Speaker 1: course not. Nezumi takes Shion's hand and lifts up his arm.
- 46:55Speaker 1: And then he puts his other arm under Shion's arm.
- 46:58Speaker 1: And it's real awkward looking because Shion is like, doesn't
- 47:01Speaker 1: know what to do. And Nezumi says, thought so. Here,
- 47:05Speaker 1: straighten your spine. He's like trying to get him into position.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Raise your chin. Don't look at the floor. One, two, three. One, two, three.
- 47:13Speaker 1: A waltz kind of starts up in the background. And
- 47:16Speaker 1: Nezumi starts to pull him around. Shion is just kind
- 47:20Speaker 1: of struggling and is like, Nezumi, wait a sec. But
- 47:23Speaker 1: Nezumi is just kind of dancing him around the room now.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Shion continues, there's no way I can learn to dance.
- 47:30Speaker 1: We're going to damage the books. Nezumi is like, don't
- 47:33Speaker 1: move so clumsily. We see that brown dog and it's
- 47:35Speaker 1: like just sitting out in the hall. And we hear
- 47:38Speaker 1: Nezumi's one, two, three through the door because he's just
- 47:40Speaker 1: continuing to do that, you know, so he stays in rhythm.
- 47:43Speaker 1: The dog yawns and we cut back to them dancing.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Shion looking really stressed out and Nezumi is like, hey,
- 47:50Speaker 1: you're doing just fine. Shion is doing a little better,
- 47:53Speaker 1: but he looks sick. He says, I'm just being pulled
- 47:56Speaker 1: around by your lead. I mean, that's kind of what
- 47:58Speaker 1: the lead person does. So good job. Nezumi says, even so,
- 48:03Speaker 1: you're pretty impressive. Aw, he's complimenting him. The lighting changes
- 48:08Speaker 1: and things get like really orange and Shion looks pretty astonished,
- 48:12Speaker 1: I guess, by Nezumi saying nice things to him. I'm
- 48:15Speaker 1: not sure. And Nezumi continues, your movements are light. Everything
- 48:19Speaker 1: fades into a burst of yellow lights. And then we
- 48:22Speaker 1: see train tracks running through the wasteland at sunset, very
- 48:25Speaker 1: much like 86. And the music is really picking up now.
- 48:30Speaker 1: I think, you know, we've got more instruments and shit.
- 48:33Speaker 1: And they are now outside dancing through a decrepit playground
- 48:38Speaker 1: for like a slide and jungle gym and like a
- 48:40Speaker 1: chain link fence around it. And we cut to a
- 48:43Speaker 1: broken analog clock on the ground and stairs going up
- 48:46Speaker 1: to either nowhere or they're for the slide. I wasn't sure.
- 48:50Speaker 1: They're just dancing, you know, waltzing, I guess, as the
- 48:54Speaker 1: camera spins around them. And we get this really weird
- 48:57Speaker 1: perspective of them in the rubble with the West Block
- 49:00Speaker 1: city area and the wall behind it that made them
- 49:02Speaker 1: look like really, really big people. It was like a
- 49:05Speaker 1: really weird forced perspective. And I don't think they're supposed
- 49:07Speaker 1: to look like giants, but they did to me for
- 49:10Speaker 1: a second. And I had to like stop it and
- 49:11Speaker 1: go like, is this on purpose? And I don't think
- 49:13Speaker 1: it was. Anyway, they're dancing around. We see their shadows
- 49:17Speaker 1: on the rubble as they dance. And Nezumi kind of
- 49:19Speaker 1: looks like a giant. down at Shion like kindly like
- 49:23Speaker 1: in a way I don't know if I've seen him
- 49:24Speaker 1: look at Shion and Shion is just kind of staring
- 49:27Speaker 1: at him in astonishment at the dancing I guess We
- 49:31Speaker 1: see now a messed up baby doll lying at the
- 49:34Speaker 1: bottom of, I thought maybe it was a stream, but
- 49:37Speaker 1: I think it's a puddle or something. And the water
- 49:39Speaker 1: ripples as they dance around it. We see their shadows
- 49:43Speaker 1: in it for a second. And the wind starts to
- 49:45Speaker 1: pick up, blowing leaves off this tree that's nearby. And
- 49:49Speaker 1: some sun rays poke through the clouds. And we fade out. Yay.
- 49:55Speaker 1: We cut to Shion's crotch as he sits down on
- 49:58Speaker 1: the couch. Weird. Weird. He sighs and he kind of
- 50:00Speaker 1: like puts his head back and he's covered in sweat.
- 50:03Speaker 1: And he says, I can hardly breathe. Dancing really works
- 50:07Speaker 1: out the whole body, huh? Nezumi is standing, holding that mug,
- 50:12Speaker 1: looking totally composed. You didn't know? Shion exhales. Nezumi drinks
- 50:17Speaker 1: a little bit. We hear Shion say, well, your strength
- 50:21Speaker 1: and ability are far above mine. Are you trying to
- 50:24Speaker 1: show me that I shouldn't worry about you? Nezumi's like,
- 50:28Speaker 1: More or less. He kind of closes his eyes contently.
- 50:32Speaker 1: We cut to a close-up of his eyes as they
- 50:34Speaker 1: pop open wide. We're now seeing just their lower bodies,
- 50:37Speaker 1: like part of their legs and torsos. We're panning up
- 50:41Speaker 1: on them very slowly. Nezumi's left arm twitches. We hear
- 50:45Speaker 1: Shion say, I kept thinking that one of those might
- 50:48Speaker 1: pop out right from here. We are now far enough
- 50:52Speaker 1: up that we can see that Shion has his hand
- 50:54Speaker 1: on Nezumi's neck. Nezumi has his back to us so
- 50:57Speaker 1: we can't see his expression, but I'm getting the idea
- 51:00Speaker 1: that he's not okay. Shion continues. When I saw you collapse, I...
- 51:05Speaker 1: I thought you might die. We cut to Nezumi's throat
- 51:09Speaker 1: as he gulps, sweat beating on his face. Shion continues.
- 51:14Speaker 1: You might not understand it, but I was absolutely terrified.
- 51:18Speaker 1: He puts his hand down. Nezumi. We see Nezumi's hand twitch.
- 51:24Speaker 1: As Shion says his name, the water in the mug
- 51:27Speaker 1: shakes slightly. Fucking love this. And Shion continues, There are
- 51:32Speaker 1: too many things I don't understand. But one thing I
- 51:35Speaker 1: do understand is just how afraid I am of losing you.
- 51:38Speaker 1: More than anyone, I'm afraid of losing you. Nezumi has
- 51:42Speaker 1: just been standing there frozen this whole time, in shock.
- 51:46Speaker 1: His mouth is open, his eyes are still wide, and
- 51:49Speaker 1: he's just covered in sweat. He starts to get lit
- 51:52Speaker 1: from below, like, I don't know why. And Shion continues,
- 51:57Speaker 1: no matter how much you laugh or belittle me, that's
- 52:00Speaker 1: how I truly feel. Nezumi's eyes finally narrow slightly. And
- 52:04Speaker 1: we cut to, I guess, his perspective of Shion standing
- 52:08Speaker 1: in front of him. And Shion is like starkly lit
- 52:11Speaker 1: on a black background, kind of foreboding. And he thinks,
- 52:14Speaker 1: who the hell is this guy? We cut to the
- 52:18Speaker 1: wasteland at night. And then to Shion laying on the couch,
- 52:21Speaker 1: sleeping peacefully. The camera pans over. to where Nezumi is
- 52:25Speaker 1: sitting on his bed with his blanket over him, just
- 52:29Speaker 1: staring at Shion. We see that the mice are curled
- 52:32Speaker 1: up on Shion, by the way, which is really cute.
- 52:33Speaker 1: And Nezumi thinks, I couldn't avoid his attack. He puts
- 52:38Speaker 1: his hand on his neck. I left one of my
- 52:40Speaker 1: vital points open. He caught me so easily. His eyes
- 52:45Speaker 1: narrow slightly. Was I the one who didn't understand anything?
- 52:49Speaker 1: We cut to a shot of Shion sleeping peacefully again.
- 52:52Speaker 1: Nezumi thinks. Shion. Just who are you? We fade out.
- 52:58Speaker 1: And then we go the ending theme and that's it. Hooray. Fuck. Anyway,
- 53:03Speaker 1: closing thoughts. Okay, so there was some real good shit
- 53:07Speaker 1: in this episode. Like I said earlier, I loved the
- 53:10Speaker 1: juxtaposition between what was going on with Safu and what
- 53:13Speaker 1: was going on with Nezumi and Shion. And we're gonna
- 53:15Speaker 1: have to figure out like what the fuck is with
- 53:17Speaker 1: this song and why did they both hear it and
- 53:19Speaker 1: then collapse? That's a little weird. I don't have as
- 53:22Speaker 1: much to say about this as I've had in other episodes, which,
- 53:25Speaker 1: you know, was good for you, I'm sure. I think
- 53:26Speaker 1: I have like two things. One, we've gotten so far
- 53:30Speaker 1: away from the content of the light novel and manga
- 53:33Speaker 1: now that like I don't even know how to compare them.
- 53:36Speaker 1: And I'm also just not sure because I haven't read
- 53:38Speaker 1: far enough in the light novel to know how the
- 53:41Speaker 1: whole thing goes with Shion seeing Nezumi's performance. But I
- 53:45Speaker 1: want to do that before I record another episode and
- 53:48Speaker 1: I'll let you know what it's like because I'm just
- 53:50Speaker 1: really confused. about what's happening here. I mean, yeah, Nezumi
- 53:55Speaker 1: is wearing a dress and Eve is obviously like this female,
- 53:59Speaker 1: you know, persona that he has. But I didn't see
- 54:04Speaker 1: anything that made me think that this is a seedy environment.
- 54:06Speaker 1: I really didn't. It's just a theater. And as you
- 54:09Speaker 1: probably know, there was a time where, I guess, I
- 54:13Speaker 1: assume all over, but at least in the West, when
- 54:15Speaker 1: women just didn't act in plays so every role was
- 54:20Speaker 1: played by a guy so this isn't actually that weird
- 54:23Speaker 1: maybe it's weird that every role he plays is probably
- 54:26Speaker 1: a woman because it sounds like that's what we're getting
- 54:28Speaker 1: at but I don't know it just didn't come off
- 54:30Speaker 1: like the way he was portraying it would be especially
- 54:34Speaker 1: in the light novel and manga so I want to
- 54:37Speaker 1: check on that and I'll let you know next time
- 54:39Speaker 1: hopefully what I find out so we got that um
- 54:44Speaker 1: I am pissed off that Shion betrayed his trust If you're,
- 54:48Speaker 1: I don't know what they are to each other, but
- 54:50Speaker 1: he asked him specifically not to go when he went.
- 54:53Speaker 1: And that sucks. It really does. Besides that, the big
- 54:56Speaker 1: thing is Nezumi's reactions to Shion in this episode, specifically
- 55:01Speaker 1: to Shion touching him. And now I'm like, has Shion
- 55:05Speaker 1: not just reached out and touched him before? Has it
- 55:08Speaker 1: always been Nezumi doing the reaching out and touching? Because
- 55:12Speaker 1: he was not comfortable with, When Shion caught him after he,
- 55:17Speaker 1: you know, kind of collapsed, he was freaked out. I mean,
- 55:20Speaker 1: I couldn't tell if he was like freaked out from
- 55:22Speaker 1: being touched by Shion or if he was just like,
- 55:24Speaker 1: I don't want anyone to help me. But his reaction
- 55:27Speaker 1: freaked him out too, which made me think of banana fish.
- 55:32Speaker 1: And yeah. And then we have what just happened here where,
- 55:39Speaker 1: you know, Shion touching his neck just like freaked him
- 55:43Speaker 1: the fuck out. And I guess by his explanation, it's
- 55:46Speaker 1: because he let his guard down so much and he
- 55:49Speaker 1: didn't even realize Shion was going to touch him. And
- 55:52Speaker 1: Shion could have fucking killed him. Not that it seems
- 55:54Speaker 1: like Shion would, but I get it. You never really know,
- 55:58Speaker 1: especially because I'm thinking that, you know, he's probably had
- 56:01Speaker 1: a rough past, a really rough past where he doesn't
- 56:04Speaker 1: trust anyone and he doesn't want to open himself up.
- 56:07Speaker 1: So I'm wondering, you know, how much of this is
- 56:10Speaker 1: he let his guard down and how much of this
- 56:12Speaker 1: is he doesn't want to be touched? Either way, he's
- 56:16Speaker 1: freaking the fuck out. And it's interesting to see from
- 56:19Speaker 1: him because we haven't before seen him kind of off
- 56:22Speaker 1: his game and off his guard. So I'm wondering how
- 56:25Speaker 1: this is going to go from here. Yeah. So those
- 56:28Speaker 1: are the things I liked. I will say, though, that
- 56:30Speaker 1: I do not like dancing in my anime or any
- 56:34Speaker 1: sort of thing. I don't know why, guys. Like I
- 56:37Speaker 1: like dancing. I like non-partner dancing. Like I like modern
- 56:41Speaker 1: dance and jazz and that kind of stuff. I don't know.
- 56:44Speaker 1: But I don't really like watching it in like a
- 56:48Speaker 1: story arc of something. I don't know why that is.
- 56:51Speaker 1: But I feel like this dancing was supposed to like
- 56:54Speaker 1: feel like we were solidifying something between them and maybe
- 56:57Speaker 1: feel romantic. Or I don't really know what dancing is
- 57:00Speaker 1: supposed to be like, guys. I'm not into partner dancing.
- 57:02Speaker 1: It's weird. I mean, me in particular. But like, I
- 57:08Speaker 1: just didn't feel that. I just felt like, oh, they're dancing. Yay.
- 57:12Speaker 1: I mean, I guess that's nice, but this is just
- 57:15Speaker 1: a me hang up thing. It wasn't a terrible scene
- 57:18Speaker 1: by any stretch. I was just like, eh, I could
- 57:20Speaker 1: have done without them dancing. So that's really all I have.
- 57:24Speaker 1: I think, thank God, because I'm sure you want to
- 57:28Speaker 1: go live the rest of your life or at least
- 57:31Speaker 1: some of it and, you know, that kind of stuff.
- 57:34Speaker 1: So yeah, I am going to get going so I
- 57:37Speaker 1: can get something to eat because I'm really hungry again.
- 57:40Speaker 1: And I hope you have, like, a really good whatever. Oh,
- 57:45Speaker 1: and I almost forgot. Happy Halloween! It's in, like, a
- 57:48Speaker 1: couple of days. I hope you have a really good Halloween.
- 57:51Speaker 1: And I'm sorry that this was not a Halloween-y episode,
- 57:54Speaker 1: but not much I could do about it. I mean,
- 57:56Speaker 1: somebody did die in this episode and have all their
- 57:59Speaker 1: hair fall out, and that's bad. So there you go.
- 58:02Speaker 1: It's Halloween-adjacent enough. Anyway, yes. Have a good Halloween. And...
- 58:08Speaker 1: I'll see you next time unless, you know, we all die. Later, weebs.
