- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio. Hello, mister
- 0:05Speaker 1: Bob Guinea, Well, hi, hello Trista wren Sutter. Because I
- 0:09Speaker 1: can't say no, oh.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Okay, there you go.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Nice to see you. I know.
- 0:14Speaker 2: I'm so excited that we get to recap every week
- 0:17Speaker 2: on our almost famous OG podcast for Dancing with the Stars.
- 0:20Speaker 1: So exciting, No, I love it. And I got to
- 0:23Speaker 1: be honest, I thought last night was a pretty damn
- 0:25Speaker 1: good episode.
- 0:26Speaker 2: It was actually I have to admit so little known
- 0:30Speaker 2: fact for a lot of people listening out there. If
- 0:34Speaker 2: there's a lot of people listening, I was on the
- 0:39Speaker 2: first season of Dancing with the Stars, which I feel
- 0:41Speaker 2: like not a lot of people know or just forget
- 0:43Speaker 2: because it was so long ago. But I have not watched.
- 0:48Speaker 2: You would think that I would watch because I was
- 0:50Speaker 2: on the show, but I really haven't watched in years.
- 0:55Speaker 2: And the fact that Joey and Jen are both on
- 0:59Speaker 2: the season, it is really exciting to me. I know
- 1:02Speaker 2: Tory Spelling, and we have to have her onlink. I
- 1:05Speaker 2: think you suggested having her own. I would love to
- 1:07Speaker 2: have her on, and so I I was like, you
- 1:12Speaker 2: know what, I don't have anything going on tonight, Brian
- 1:15Speaker 2: was working, the kids were just cranking away on their homework,
- 1:19Speaker 2: and I was like, let's watch and recap, and I'm
- 1:22Speaker 2: so excited. It's giving me leve.
- 1:24Speaker 1: No. I actually I haven't watched it in a few
- 1:26Speaker 1: seasons either. I mean, it did kind of jump for
- 1:28Speaker 1: a while over to the streaming platform, I think, and
- 1:30Speaker 1: then it came back.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right platform.
- 1:34Speaker 1: And you know, I used to go all the time
- 1:36Speaker 1: when I lived in LA I would go, and you know,
- 1:38Speaker 1: if I had friends that were on it or whatever,
- 1:40Speaker 1: and it was nice, you know, it was a nice experience.
- 1:44Speaker 1: And but but I will say watching the show last night,
- 1:49Speaker 1: I love Tory. It was great to see her on there.
- 1:53Speaker 1: And I don't know Jen, and I don't even know
- 1:55Speaker 1: that I've met Joey personally, but I have to say
- 1:59Speaker 1: that two of them they looked pretty damn good. I
- 2:02Speaker 1: mean I thought, yeah, I thought that Chandler okay, I mean,
- 2:06Speaker 1: I know, we'll get into it, but I thought Joey
- 2:09Speaker 1: and Jen both looked great, danced very well, handled themselves well.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I mean, it was impressive. It was a cool night.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I actually love their partnerships. I love Joey and Jenna.
- 2:23Speaker 2: I love Jenna watched her and so you think you
- 2:27Speaker 2: can dance before Dancing with the Stars happened? Love her
- 2:32Speaker 2: and I think her partnership. I think Carrie Anne said
- 2:37Speaker 2: I really love the two of you like together. I
- 2:40Speaker 2: think they have such a great partnership. And then yeah,
- 2:43Speaker 2: Jen and Sasha are adorable too, So I feel like
- 2:47Speaker 2: casting did a really good job of casting them. I
- 2:50Speaker 2: will say, like, you know, we could sit here and
- 2:53Speaker 2: judge them. We're not going to judge them. We're just
- 2:55Speaker 2: gonna say, really enjoyed, but I want to get into
- 2:59Speaker 2: some juicy stuf. So I noted and I'm sure you
- 3:04Speaker 2: probably did too, that in the audience were Susie and
- 3:11Speaker 2: oh my gosh, Justin thank you. I was like, I know,
- 3:14Speaker 2: what's a jayword? What's the J word? Justin and Susie
- 3:17Speaker 2: were in the audience together, and literally I think they
- 3:20Speaker 2: were on this podcast with Ben at least Ben and
- 3:23Speaker 2: Ashley talking about how they just broke up, maybe separately
- 3:28Speaker 2: or and I know they made a public announcement like
- 3:31Speaker 2: that was like, wait, am I seeing what I'm what
- 3:34Speaker 2: I'm seeing? Are those two? Are those two to do? So?
- 3:38Speaker 1: Okay, not to be fair, we did just do a
- 3:41Speaker 1: podcast with my ex wife. So it doesn't mean because
- 3:44Speaker 1: you split up that you can't you know, you can't.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Like you you both are now happily married. You know,
- 3:51Speaker 2: you both have kids. Like that was a long time
- 3:54Speaker 2: ago and you guys have had time. But they literally,
- 3:58Speaker 2: I want to say, within it's been weeks, like we
- 4:01Speaker 2: could say weeks. Maybe it's like six weeks. I don't know,
- 4:03Speaker 2: but it's been weeks since they broke up, not years.
- 4:06Speaker 1: So oh, I know, I was just I was just
- 4:08Speaker 1: out in you know, northern California with Justin and I
- 4:11Speaker 1: know he was going through it at that time. And
- 4:14Speaker 1: you're right, I mean, it is fresh. Could it have
- 4:17Speaker 1: been they accepted the invitation before they broke up and
- 4:20Speaker 1: they just decided civil or could it have been you
- 4:24Speaker 1: know that they're maybe they I don't know, maybe they're
- 4:27Speaker 1: giving it another try. I mean, I don't know. I
- 4:29Speaker 1: don't know what to say, but you're right. I did
- 4:31Speaker 1: see them at the table together. I saw Jason Tartick
- 4:33Speaker 1: there in supported his buddy Joey. I was teasing saying
- 4:37Speaker 1: I made a fact comment, an old school facts comment.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I'm like, man, Jason's at the opening of everything lately,
- 4:42Speaker 1: you know, like they open him an envelope and Hotter
- 4:44Speaker 1: writes back, that's so facts, which, by the way, I
- 4:50Speaker 1: have never heard that expression, but I am going to
- 4:52Speaker 1: use have it.
- 4:53Speaker 2: No, Oh yes, my daughter says it all the time.
- 4:57Speaker 2: That's so she'll just say She'll literally just say facts,
- 5:00Speaker 2: that's it. And sometimes I'm like, what did you just say?
- 5:03Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well the whole Actually I just heard someone
- 5:08Speaker 2: lecture about like trying to communicate with kids and the
- 5:13Speaker 2: whole like rundown. He went through, like this whole thing
- 5:17Speaker 2: about using terms that they use now, like it is hysterical.
- 5:22Speaker 2: We are so old. I am so old, Bob anyway,
- 5:27Speaker 2: So okay, so yes facts. Jason also did say that
- 5:32Speaker 2: his agency represents four people from that are actually on
- 5:37Speaker 2: the show, so I think he was he was there
- 5:40Speaker 2: supporting Joey of course they're really close, but I think
- 5:43Speaker 2: also he was just there professionally for his agency. I
- 5:46Speaker 2: actually think that he's got a couple of the pros
- 5:49Speaker 2: like maybe Jenna Okay and Daniella. Maybe I don't know,
- 5:55Speaker 2: but okay, so a big one I feel I was Jonathan,
- 6:01Speaker 2: who just was on Gen season A Bachelorette. Jen sent
- 6:06Speaker 2: Jonathan home like yes, pretty late, maybe like fantasy suites,
- 6:11Speaker 2: but they weren't there together, or she was there supporting
- 6:14Speaker 2: her and they have done I follow her on.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Or something like that.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Yeah, there was a video that you know, maybe they're together.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't they haven't. They haven't done
- 6:27Speaker 2: a soft or a hard launch yet. But I'm wondering
- 6:30Speaker 2: since he was there supporting her, if they're together, I
- 6:34Speaker 2: don't know.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I don't know. It could be crazy, you know, I mean,
- 6:38Speaker 1: at the end of the day, it's so funny because
- 6:41Speaker 1: you know, I mean, the Dancing with the Stars thaying
- 6:44Speaker 1: is so fun and it's like, you know, it's just
- 6:47Speaker 1: go out there and have a great time. I mean,
- 6:48Speaker 1: the fact that they had Eric Roberts in the cast, like,
- 6:52Speaker 1: I mean, that's insane to me.
- 6:54Speaker 2: I know, I know, I kind of felt bad for him,
- 6:58Speaker 2: Like he said he had a card and you know,
- 7:01Speaker 2: his right side is a little bit later than his
- 7:05Speaker 2: left side or something like that.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Well you could tell he wasn't moving very well, you know,
- 7:08Speaker 1: like I'm sure he wanted to do this a long
- 7:11Speaker 1: time ago, he said, and actually here.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it's amazing. I'm like proud of him for getting
- 7:19Speaker 2: out there. And showing people that you can still have
- 7:22Speaker 2: fun and dance even if you do have you.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Know, physical limitations or whatever limitations.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yeah, oh my gosh, White Howard and Daniella that the
- 7:44Speaker 2: difference in height.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Cute they are.
- 7:47Speaker 2: She looks like a little polly pocket next to him.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I mean, well, I mean, I'm six three and i'd
- 7:53Speaker 1: look like a pollypocket next to him too. He's a
- 7:55Speaker 1: beast totally. But I do think it's funny that, you know,
- 7:58Speaker 1: here we're talking about the great casting that they did
- 8:01Speaker 1: and how they partnered the pros, and then they throw
- 8:03Speaker 1: the tallest guy with the shortest pro. She's like five
- 8:06Speaker 1: two and a half or something like that, you know,
- 8:08Speaker 1: And I'm sure that was on purpose, but that's challenging.
- 8:12Speaker 1: That has to be so challenging for her because you know,
- 8:15Speaker 1: he's he's obviously, you know, athletic and can do all
- 8:18Speaker 1: these great things. But to dance with someone and be like,
- 8:21Speaker 1: he's got to be bent over, she's got to be,
- 8:23Speaker 1: you know, fully extended. I mean that can't be easy.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Not easy, especially in like the waltz and stuff where
- 8:30Speaker 2: he's going to have to keep frame like how do
- 8:33Speaker 2: you keep framed like that? With someone who's literally like
- 8:36Speaker 2: two feet smaller than you.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Honestly, could you imagine if they do the whole dance
- 8:41Speaker 1: with him carrying her? Oh, Like I was thinking about
- 8:47Speaker 1: that last night when he did it. I'm like, man,
- 8:49Speaker 1: if they do that dance, I wasn't. I didn't know
- 8:50Speaker 1: it with the waltsy, Like if they do that dance
- 8:52Speaker 1: where their like their arms are you know, locked, how funny.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I hope that they do. She probably weighs ninety pounds
- 9:01Speaker 1: at most, you know.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Oh, he could across the room. She's so tiny.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I mean, how funny.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that is classic. I want to see that.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I want to see that. I hope that someone tells
- 9:13Speaker 2: them if she doesn't already have an idea, she needs
- 9:16Speaker 2: to do that. Like just they're connected as well. She's
- 9:19Speaker 2: on like a moving platform or something.
- 9:21Speaker 1: To where her feet like it's rolling, he's like pulling
- 9:25Speaker 1: it around. Yeah, that would be really funny. I just
- 9:28Speaker 1: you know, it's funny because it's like I, you know,
- 9:32Speaker 1: the couple times that I had talked to people dancing
- 9:34Speaker 1: with the stars, and I was always like I was
- 9:36Speaker 1: up for it, but like I just never got the
- 9:38Speaker 1: final call, you know, And I always think about it.
- 9:42Speaker 1: How And by saying I was up for it, I
- 9:43Speaker 1: mean I was. I personally was up for it, like
- 9:45Speaker 1: I was like, I want to do it, you know.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Yeah, totally.
- 9:48Speaker 1: It was mostly because I just I think in my
- 9:52Speaker 1: head and I and I remember us talking about this
- 9:55Speaker 1: once before. I think I'm a super good dancer, Like
- 9:58Speaker 1: in my mind, I am just like I got the
- 10:00Speaker 1: rhythm in me. And then I see these people on
- 10:03Speaker 1: this show and I'm like, oh, I could never do that.
- 10:05Speaker 1: That wouldn't be able to do that one, you know,
- 10:08Speaker 1: And it's like, I mean, by the time I've done
- 10:09Speaker 1: watching the whole season, I'm like, Okay, maybe I should
- 10:12Speaker 1: not ever have even thought about going on that show,
- 10:14Speaker 1: because but Joey looked like he knew what he was doing,
- 10:18Speaker 1: and so did.
- 10:20Speaker 2: I actually feel like it really depends on your coach,
- 10:27Speaker 2: Like a lot of it. I feel like, obviously a
- 10:29Speaker 2: lot of it is the the celebrity and their experience
- 10:35Speaker 2: and their personality and their acting skills and all of that.
- 10:39Speaker 2: But I feel like your your pro can make it
- 10:44Speaker 2: or break it for you. I think that Jenna is
- 10:48Speaker 2: such a good partner for him.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Well, well, let's let's make a prediction. Okay, so we
- 10:53Speaker 1: both watched the show last night. We were texting throughout,
- 10:57Speaker 1: and I mean, I gotta be on it. I if
- 11:01Speaker 1: I was, if I was basing it off a first
- 11:03Speaker 1: night only, I would say that Chandler is the Mirror
- 11:06Speaker 1: Ball Trophy winner. Like she was remarkable and super cute
- 11:12Speaker 1: and funny and just excited to be there. I loved,
- 11:15Speaker 1: you know. I thought of you a lot during the
- 11:16Speaker 1: show because I heard the word gratitude like ten times
- 11:18Speaker 1: last night, and I was like, that's cherishest thing. That's
- 11:23Speaker 1: that's your thing. And it's like this Trista's you know,
- 11:25Speaker 1: mantra is it's all about gratitude. I love you for that,
- 11:34Speaker 1: But I mean that is that is you, and I
- 11:36Speaker 1: love you for that, and I think it's such a beautiful,
- 11:39Speaker 1: you know, extension of your personality and how you try
- 11:42Speaker 1: to find the way to be grateful for things. And
- 11:45Speaker 1: I heard that word a lot last night being thrown around,
- 11:47Speaker 1: and I was like, I love that. That's that's the
- 11:50Speaker 1: thought process here, not that you know, they're lucky to
- 11:53Speaker 1: have me or I belong on this show or whatever.
- 11:55Speaker 1: It's like I'm just grateful to be here, you know.
- 11:58Speaker 1: But yeah, I would say if you had to predicts
- 12:00Speaker 1: who you think is gonna win? Yeah, after last night's episode,
- 12:04Speaker 1: and you are you were a competitive dancer for a
- 12:06Speaker 1: long period of your life. Yeah, your opinion matters here.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Who would you think?
- 12:11Speaker 2: Well really not really not, because you do really really
- 12:15Speaker 2: never know. I mean you really never know.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Well, that's sue. The fan vote. The fan votes count
- 12:19Speaker 1: a lot.
- 12:20Speaker 2: The fan vote is huge, Like a lot of it
- 12:23Speaker 2: is due to popularity, I feel like.
- 12:26Speaker 1: And your gro that's changed a lot since that first year.
- 12:29Speaker 1: So the first like two or three years, I think
- 12:32Speaker 1: it was based more so. And I remember them talking
- 12:35Speaker 1: about this at one episode I was at when Tom
- 12:37Speaker 1: Bergerond was still the host, and they were talking about
- 12:41Speaker 1: how it used to be weighted heavier on the judges votes,
- 12:45Speaker 1: and they and then they realized that a lot of
- 12:47Speaker 1: their really popular people were going home in the first
- 12:49Speaker 1: week or two, and so they changed it to be
- 12:52Speaker 1: weighted heavier to the judge of the popular vote versus
- 12:55Speaker 1: the judge vote.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Yeah, so that is a huge factor. Also a huge
- 13:01Speaker 2: factor is your pro Honestly, I feel like, because this
- 13:06Speaker 2: show has been around for so long, there is so
- 13:09Speaker 2: much popularity for the different pros. So if you if
- 13:13Speaker 2: you like Ezra, for example, he's the one with Amma
- 13:17Speaker 2: Deelvy and I think that's their name. He's you know,
- 13:22Speaker 2: he's new from the troop this year, and so he
- 13:26Speaker 2: might not have a high as high of a popularity
- 13:31Speaker 2: as Voo, you know saying so, I think that that
- 13:35Speaker 2: is a huge component of it. Based on that as well,
- 13:40Speaker 2: I thought Faedra did awesome. I think her personality is awesome.
- 13:44Speaker 2: I love Val and I think he has a very
- 13:48Speaker 2: strong fan base. So I feel like Fadra's going to
- 13:52Speaker 2: go far. I feel like Joey. I actually feel like
- 13:55Speaker 2: Joey is going to go really far. He is so
- 13:58Speaker 2: popular in fachination, and I feel like they really come
- 14:00Speaker 2: out to vote for the show, with Hannah winning and
- 14:04Speaker 2: Caitlin winning and Charity coming really close. Like I feel
- 14:07Speaker 2: like Bachelor Nation really kind of rallies around our people,
- 14:11Speaker 2: And so I think that Joey, based on popularity, Joey
- 14:17Speaker 2: will last longer than Jen. I don't think that. I
- 14:20Speaker 2: think that they're both great, and I think that they
- 14:23Speaker 2: both have incredible personalities. They did amazing on the first night,
- 14:27Speaker 2: but I really feel like Joey will last longer I
- 14:30Speaker 2: feel like Joey will be in the finale whether or
- 14:32Speaker 2: not he wins, that's you know, still up for grabs.
- 14:36Speaker 2: But I think he's so popular. You know, who else
- 14:40Speaker 2: is really popular right now is the male gymnast and
- 14:43Speaker 2: I thought he did amazing. Yeah, his glass is off,
- 14:47Speaker 2: and and she is really popular right now too, his
- 14:51Speaker 2: pro So I feel like, don't count them out. And well,
- 14:57Speaker 2: Danny Amadola and Whitney has a huge fan Yeah, I
- 15:01Speaker 2: love it. So Danny for sure, she's got the you know,
- 15:05Speaker 2: like and football stars tend to last really long, they
- 15:09Speaker 2: really do.
- 15:10Speaker 1: That's true. So many of them have won it over
- 15:13Speaker 1: the years too. I mean yeah, So okay, so you're
- 15:16Speaker 1: thinking Joey goes farther than Jen just based off of
- 15:20Speaker 1: his popularity, I would say, I would say, I think
- 15:24Speaker 1: you're probably right, but also because I don't know, I mean,
- 15:30Speaker 1: I think they both. They're both adorable. I mean, Jen
- 15:33Speaker 1: is adorable. She's so sweet, and then Joey is just
- 15:37Speaker 1: like just happy to be there. And I love that
- 15:39Speaker 1: as a relationships, going strong and all that good stuff.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I mean, you know, that's that's one of those things too.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I think you come off in a relationship that people
- 15:47Speaker 1: like and they like to see that to be successful.
- 15:50Speaker 1: That helps you become more successful, you know from that too.
- 15:54Speaker 1: And so from that perspective, people who like them as
- 15:57Speaker 1: a couple, you know, you know, my for but Jed
- 16:01Speaker 1: might get some votes too because she was you know,
- 16:03Speaker 1: she was kind of left hold in the bag at
- 16:05Speaker 1: the end there and the guy that you know, she
- 16:08Speaker 1: so you know, that's the jilted The jilted bachelorette could
- 16:12Speaker 1: help her chances as well for bascination to vote for her.
- 16:15Speaker 1: So you're right, there's a lot going on there, and not.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Even just jilted, but I think female like women empowerment, Like, yeah,
- 16:23Speaker 2: she's been talking about how she doesn't need a man,
- 16:26Speaker 2: which is funny because I feel like Jonathan was there
- 16:29Speaker 2: to support her last night, so maybe they're dating. But
- 16:32Speaker 2: she's kind of like talking about in interviews and stuff
- 16:35Speaker 2: about how she's really loving being independent right now and
- 16:38Speaker 2: she just wants to like, you know, focus on herself
- 16:41Speaker 2: and give her some more me time and after what happened,
- 16:46Speaker 2: you know, so I I think that people rally around
- 16:50Speaker 2: that as well, Like Hannah Brown is a perfect example
- 16:54Speaker 2: of that, after she got jilted and like what she
- 16:58Speaker 2: said on the show, So I feel like people rally
- 17:01Speaker 2: around female empowerment, which I love.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I love that too. I love that too, and
- 17:05Speaker 1: everybody kind of picks them up, you know, like that
- 17:08Speaker 1: just makes me happy to see that. So you know,
- 17:11Speaker 1: from that perspective, I hope that she goes really far too,
- 17:13Speaker 1: because I'm sure she could use a little confidence boost
- 17:15Speaker 1: right now.
- 17:16Speaker 2: And totally.
- 17:17Speaker 1: You know, people people think, oh, well, they're on TV,
- 17:19Speaker 1: they're fine, But what they don't understand is when you
- 17:21Speaker 1: go through something like that and it's so public and
- 17:23Speaker 1: you're getting so much feedback, you're always going to have
- 17:27Speaker 1: those people. And we've talked about this on the show
- 17:29Speaker 1: more than once, but you're always going to have those
- 17:30Speaker 1: people that are supportive, and then you're going to have
- 17:32Speaker 1: those few people that that's how they get their rocks off,
- 17:35Speaker 1: as saying mean things, and that stuff sometimes sticks with
- 17:38Speaker 1: you longer than all the nice stuff, right, And so
- 17:41Speaker 1: I'm sure she's seen some of that too, and so
- 17:43Speaker 1: you know, my hope is that that she is able
- 17:46Speaker 1: to get really motivated from this whole thing and realize
- 17:49Speaker 1: people love her and you know want her to do well.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I mean I've never met her, and I'm like, sitting
- 17:53Speaker 1: there last night, yeah, yeah, you know, like I felt
- 17:55Speaker 1: like I knew her, you know, with Joey, and I
- 17:58Speaker 1: was like, you know what, And again I love seeing
- 18:01Speaker 1: Tori spelling out there. And we talked about who could
- 18:03Speaker 1: have a rougher year than Tory has been having with
- 18:07Speaker 1: all that's going on in her personal life, and it's like,
- 18:09Speaker 1: and she comes through it, and she knows she's not
- 18:11Speaker 1: necessarily a great dancer, but she's going to give it
- 18:13Speaker 1: her all and really try to have fun with it.
- 18:15Speaker 1: And I think that's something about Toy I've always loved,
- 18:17Speaker 1: is that she really throws herself into things. And totally
- 18:20Speaker 1: I was happy to see that for her too. I
- 18:22Speaker 1: love it.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Her enthusiasm is contagious. I really do love that. And
- 18:27Speaker 2: the rugby player Alana I think is her.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Yes, that was awesome too.
- 18:31Speaker 2: We're enthusiasm.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Like.
- 18:32Speaker 2: I think she'll lasts long too, just because of that.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Like she's just so happy to be there and as
- 18:41Speaker 2: opposed to like Anna Delby, who seemed like she's I
- 18:45Speaker 2: don't know, it seemed like she was being not forced
- 18:47Speaker 2: to be there, but she did not seem very excited
- 18:50Speaker 2: to be there.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, it's funny the portrayal of her in
- 18:55Speaker 1: the series. Did you watch the series?
- 18:57Speaker 2: I watched like a couple of them and and then stopped.
- 19:01Speaker 1: So I watched it because my buddy was in it,
- 19:03Speaker 1: and so I wanted to see him. Oh no way, Yeah,
- 19:06Speaker 1: my buddy Richie was in it. But it was funny
- 19:09Speaker 1: because people kind of almost I wouldn't say, made fun of.
- 19:12Speaker 1: They either applauded or they made fun of the way
- 19:15Speaker 1: that the actress and the show portrayed her with this
- 19:18Speaker 1: sort of like this sort of tone about her, which
- 19:21Speaker 1: kind of gave you this impression she didn't give a
- 19:23Speaker 1: damn about anything, you know, And and it was kind
- 19:26Speaker 1: of funny because I think that's just her tone. Like
- 19:28Speaker 1: I think last night she probably was really excited to
- 19:31Speaker 1: be there and she was excited to be back in
- 19:33Speaker 1: the States and all that kind of stuff that they
- 19:35Speaker 1: were talking about. But I'm sure it was a little
- 19:36Speaker 1: bit of her tone just makes her and Kenyon my wife,
- 19:39Speaker 1: it's so funny. So Kenyon's always like, why is it
- 19:43Speaker 1: that you can walk up to someone and say a
- 19:45Speaker 1: horrible thing and they give you a hug. And I
- 19:47Speaker 1: walk up and say oh, you look pretty today, and
- 19:49Speaker 1: they'll be like, oh my god, bitch, you know, and
- 19:51Speaker 1: she's like and I'm like, well, because you walk up
- 19:52Speaker 1: and you're like, oh, you look pretty to like I'd
- 19:54Speaker 1: make fun of her voice because her voice is kind
- 19:57Speaker 1: of husky and I I think it's funny that, but
- 20:01Speaker 1: her tone, it's just her tone, you know, And I'm
- 20:05Speaker 1: always like, are you mad at something? She's like, no, why,
- 20:08Speaker 1: I'm like, well, you just sound so I swear that's
- 20:13Speaker 1: not how she really sounds. I know I exaggerated totally,
- 20:16Speaker 1: but I think that that was kind of that lady's thing,
- 20:19Speaker 1: Like her tone is just you're right.
- 20:22Speaker 2: It seems like it, you're right. I have an interesting
- 20:35Speaker 2: little behind the scenes thing that popped up in my
- 20:39Speaker 2: memory today or yesterday when I was watching it, and
- 20:42Speaker 2: that was, you know, everyone gets there and they have
- 20:46Speaker 2: their song. Oh I picked out this song is my anthem,
- 20:50Speaker 2: and like Joey's song, the fact that he lived in Nashville,
- 20:54Speaker 2: I'm like, why is that his anthem? And it struck
- 20:57Speaker 2: me we were always given I think maybe the pros
- 21:01Speaker 2: and I don't it's obviously I'm sure changed, but maybe
- 21:05Speaker 2: it hasn't. It's been a long time. I think I
- 21:07Speaker 2: was on two thousand and three or four, so it's
- 21:11Speaker 2: been probably twenty years. And they would give us our songs,
- 21:17Speaker 2: like you don't I think you could put in requests,
- 21:21Speaker 2: but the getting around, like the copyright stuff, like if
- 21:26Speaker 2: someone doesn't want their song on television or you know whatever.
- 21:30Speaker 2: There's a lot of that, Like you can't use a
- 21:32Speaker 2: lot of songs because either studios or artists recording our
- 21:36Speaker 2: artists to have a problem with it. So I thought
- 21:40Speaker 2: it was really interesting the songs. And I think that
- 21:43Speaker 2: also plays a part in how long you last, because
- 21:47Speaker 2: if you get a good dance and a good song
- 21:50Speaker 2: that vibe with your personality, then people can see that
- 21:54Speaker 2: and they want to vote for you because they think
- 21:56Speaker 2: that you're having fun and enjoying yourself. And like Melissa
- 22:00Speaker 2: Ryecroft was on and on Dancing with the Stars of course,
- 22:04Speaker 2: and I saw her post last night and she posted
- 22:09Speaker 2: this video of her tango with Tony on on the
- 22:14Speaker 2: I think it was the All Star season, and I
- 22:17Speaker 2: was like, you know, I feel like people like think
- 22:21Speaker 2: of me as kind of like a bubbly, you know,
- 22:23Speaker 2: like happy, go lucky person, and for the most part,
- 22:26Speaker 2: I am, but I also love the like serious stuff
- 22:29Speaker 2: like I would have loved to do a tango or
- 22:32Speaker 2: something like that instead of the rumba. Was serious, but
- 22:36Speaker 2: it was like really like sensual and sexual, and I
- 22:39Speaker 2: was like, I just got married like a couple of
- 22:41Speaker 2: years ago. I don't feel with you. So I feel
- 22:46Speaker 2: like your song choice and the song or the dance
- 22:50Speaker 2: that they that they give to you also play a
- 22:53Speaker 2: huge part. And I don't know that you actually get
- 22:56Speaker 2: to choose.
- 22:57Speaker 1: That were you and n iemy? What was what was
- 22:59Speaker 1: Joey's song?
- 23:01Speaker 2: Joey was some country song. You can't think of it
- 23:05Speaker 2: right now, to save my life, I can't either, But.
- 23:09Speaker 1: I don't know. Yeah, but it was all it's a
- 23:12Speaker 1: good song.
- 23:13Speaker 2: It's just like I don't know, like I mean, I
- 23:17Speaker 2: don't know Joey that well to know what song he
- 23:19Speaker 2: would have picked if he had a choice. I just
- 23:22Speaker 2: felt like it was funny, like, oh, I moved to Nashville,
- 23:26Speaker 2: like no one. I feel like no one knows that
- 23:28Speaker 2: about him. I don't know. He's from Hawaii. He's a
- 23:30Speaker 2: tennis player, like he just got engaged, like maybe something
- 23:33Speaker 2: like that.
- 23:34Speaker 1: I don't know, something like uh yeah, something like Hawaiian.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Uh just got engaged tennis player song? I like that?
- 23:42Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly? What's into Google?
- 23:46Speaker 1: We'll pick out his music for next week. Google?
- 23:50Speaker 2: What is the song that's all about kennis and Hawaii?
- 23:53Speaker 1: Wouldn't be hilarious if it pulls up a song and
- 23:55Speaker 1: it's like, you know, it's love. He loved the fifteen
- 23:58Speaker 1: what Okay, I don't understand tennis.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Either, show something about times like that. I'll set you
- 24:04Speaker 2: would that be?
- 24:04Speaker 1: That would be? Maybe we write it. We'll have to
- 24:06Speaker 1: write it on our show and send it to him.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no, I won't be doing that. Ryan is
- 24:11Speaker 2: a songwriter, as you know.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Yes, of course he's a poet. One song So my son,
- 24:17Speaker 1: I need to tell you this story, my son Grayson
- 24:20Speaker 1: two interesting little factoids. Recently, has has was walking around
- 24:26Speaker 1: the house and he's like, you know, uh, call me
- 24:30Speaker 1: when you want, call me when you need, call me
- 24:33Speaker 1: in the morning, call me when you want. And I
- 24:35Speaker 1: was like, oh, okay, well that's cool. And uh and
- 24:38Speaker 1: so I've never heard this song, and so he would
- 24:41Speaker 1: be like singing like a verse, but he'd keep coming
- 24:43Speaker 1: back to the chorus and I'm like, oh my god,
- 24:46Speaker 1: you know and my history with music. I'm like, I
- 24:49Speaker 1: don't know, like the apple not fall far from the tree,
- 24:51Speaker 1: Like he's writing songs the remarkable thing. So my Kenyon
- 24:56Speaker 1: takes a picture a video of him and sends it
- 24:58Speaker 1: out to her family and her brother is in London
- 25:02Speaker 1: and everyone's like, oh my gosh. You know, he keeps
- 25:05Speaker 1: coming back to this chorus that's kind of cool with
- 25:06Speaker 1: her dad's musical as well, and we're thinking we got
- 25:10Speaker 1: a savant on our hands, like, oh my gosh, he's
- 25:12Speaker 1: writing these hits. And then all of a sudden, her
- 25:14Speaker 1: brother writes back and he's like, you guys think he wrote.
- 25:17Speaker 2: This and we're like yeah, I'm like, no, I know
- 25:19Speaker 2: that song.
- 25:20Speaker 1: I've never heard this and he goes, it's only got
- 25:22Speaker 1: one point nine billion views. It's little nas X and
- 25:26Speaker 1: it's like there's a lot of other language in there
- 25:29Speaker 1: that isn't so great. And I'm like then, I'm like, oh,
- 25:32Speaker 1: where did he hear this thing?
- 25:33Speaker 2: Like I don't.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I'm never where would he hear it? You know? Apparently
- 25:37Speaker 1: he heard it on the school bus. Someone's playing it
- 25:39Speaker 1: on the because he's a kindergartener. But there's like up
- 25:43Speaker 1: to fifth graders on the bus. Apparently, you know, a
- 25:47Speaker 1: fifth grader was playing it on the bus and so's
- 25:49Speaker 1: it's in his head. So there's that. And then the
- 25:51Speaker 1: other thing I was going to tell you that he
- 25:52Speaker 1: said to me yesterday when I said, hey, buddy, good night,
- 25:55Speaker 1: I love you. Mommy's going to put you to sleep.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I've got to go watch Dancing with the Stars. And
- 26:00Speaker 1: he goes, okay, okay, well, my name is Grace and
- 26:03Speaker 1: Robert Guiney and I approved this message. And I go,
- 26:12Speaker 1: what present He's like, I approve this message. I'm like, okay,
- 26:18Speaker 1: all right, good stuff. So yeah, so I have those
- 26:20Speaker 1: two things to share with you today.
- 26:22Speaker 2: So so that right there is an example of they
- 26:26Speaker 2: listen to everything right everything.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Yep.
- 26:31Speaker 2: I know it's so hard to navigate all of that
- 26:34Speaker 2: stuff when they're little man. Thankfully, I mean, we didn't
- 26:39Speaker 2: get out of it unscathed, but but my kids are
- 26:42Speaker 2: are pretty good. So thanksfully. Too much about it, I.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Would say, so you did a very good job there, mommy.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Yeah, oh thanks. I love that he's like and I
- 26:53Speaker 2: approved this message. I wonder I wonder if he if
- 26:57Speaker 2: it's just on in the background and he always hears
- 26:59Speaker 2: the ads, or if they pop up on his like.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, yeah, who knows. I mean
- 27:06Speaker 1: we we allow YouTube on his on his little iPad
- 27:10Speaker 1: when he's playing his games. We don't allow YouTube on
- 27:12Speaker 1: there because there was a period of time where some
- 27:14Speaker 1: other stuff was coming out of his mouth and we're
- 27:15Speaker 1: like and delete the app.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Yeah, totally. YouTube is not the greatest.
- 27:20Speaker 1: No, it's terrible. And it was YouTube kids too, and
- 27:22Speaker 1: it was like some weird stuff would speak on there,
- 27:24Speaker 1: you know, So all right, well I know you've got
- 27:27Speaker 1: to go. So we got our predictions in, you know,
- 27:31Speaker 1: I like that who you think last longer, Eric Roberts
- 27:35Speaker 1: or the dad from uh, the dad from yeah family matters?
- 27:40Speaker 2: Well, two people actually get sent home next week. I'm
- 27:46Speaker 2: fixing people of.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Them, Yeah, because this is particularly young and uh pretty
- 27:52Speaker 1: decent dancing cast. So I would guess if if either
- 27:56Speaker 1: one of them stay in, it is because you know,
- 27:57Speaker 1: people really warm up to their message and and like
- 28:00Speaker 1: them and vote for them. So make sure you're voting.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Just it's the it's the Yeah, there you go, Thanks
- 28:09Speaker 2: guys for listening to Almost Famous Ogs. Will be back
- 28:11Speaker 2: next week to recap Dancing with the Stars as no
- 28:24Speaker 1: H
