- 0:00Speaker 1: And now move the sticks with Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.
- 0:06Speaker 2: What's up, everybody. Welcome to move the sticks. DJ and
- 0:09Speaker 2: Bucky going to be joined by our good buddy Brian
- 0:12Speaker 2: Baldinger as we look back at an incredible weekend of football.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Before we do that, though, I'm wearing my app State
- 0:18Speaker 2: hat today because it's just a sad day.
- 0:21Speaker 1: It's been a sad.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Twenty four hours for everybody in our family, and it
- 0:25Speaker 2: is really a family up there in Boone. So lost
- 0:28Speaker 2: a former teammate of mine and a good friend. And
- 0:30Speaker 2: Sean Clark was an amazing All American tackle at app
- 0:34Speaker 2: State and was the head coach there, spent a lot
- 0:38Speaker 2: of his years and time really investing in people up
- 0:41Speaker 2: there in Boone and then was at Central Florida this
- 0:43Speaker 2: year as the offensive line coach and tragically passed away
- 0:47Speaker 2: over the weekend at fifty years old. Challe's a wonderful guy,
- 0:50Speaker 2: wonderful father, two kids. He always talked about every time
- 0:55Speaker 2: we had a chance to visit. Just an unbelievable guy
- 0:59Speaker 2: who's going to be in edibly missed by people all
- 1:01Speaker 2: over the college football landscape. And anybody who really came
- 1:04Speaker 2: in contact with him Buck. We had a chance to
- 1:06Speaker 2: have him on the show previously. It was fun to
- 1:09Speaker 2: kind of introduce him to you because he got kind
- 1:11Speaker 2: of two friends and then getting a chance to meet
- 1:14Speaker 2: each other. But in Baldi he's offensive lineman, like he's
- 1:18Speaker 2: your people man.
- 1:19Speaker 1: You would absolutely loved him.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a sad day, Djym's hardy to hear from
- 1:24Speaker 3: your low.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's really sad, DJ.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Because I was at the UCF Carolina game this weekend
- 1:31Speaker 4: in anticipation of not only seeing Natario's played the nice
- 1:35Speaker 4: but Lookshawn was going to be there Bill Belichick and shouted.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Him out ahead of the game. Talk to him postgame, So.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Just said news, you talk about fifty years old, so
- 1:43Speaker 4: much life, still the head to live and then really
- 1:46Speaker 4: the kids and the wife that he leaves behind. So
- 1:49Speaker 4: thought in prayers to him, his family, to the app
- 1:51Speaker 4: State family, to everyone who encountered Sean because he was
- 1:54Speaker 4: such a great Tuoe.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Yeah, great guy.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I had a chance to go up there and take
- 1:57Speaker 2: my family up there and I think twenty one in
- 1:59Speaker 2: the summer, and he kind of gave us a whole
- 2:01Speaker 2: tour of everything, showed my kids around. Couldn't have been,
- 2:04Speaker 2: couldn't have been nicer and just a better dude. And
- 2:07Speaker 2: then was up there for a game just last year
- 2:08Speaker 2: at this time, I think it was a year ago
- 2:09Speaker 2: today looking at the calendar, I was up there in
- 2:13Speaker 2: Boone and I you know, I saw him in the
- 2:15Speaker 2: locker room. He came, gave me a big bear hug,
- 2:17Speaker 2: and uh, he's going to be missed. He was a
- 2:19Speaker 2: great guy. So anyways, sending all my love to to
- 2:23Speaker 2: their family. All right, guys, let's let's jump in here
- 2:27Speaker 2: to the games we had yesterday. It's a crazy, crazy,
- 2:30Speaker 2: uh weekend. Man, I was at a crazy game. Uh,
- 2:34Speaker 2: I was where were you at yesterday? I let's start there,
- 2:40Speaker 2: Let's start there, go for it.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Well, I mean, honestly, like, uh, the Eagles couldn't have
- 2:45Speaker 3: it was tailored to two games. I mean, they couldn't
- 2:48Speaker 3: have been worse. In the first half. They literally couldn't
- 2:52Speaker 3: function as an offense. They lost Elane Johnson.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Early in the game.
- 2:55Speaker 3: They went to Matt Pryor Jared Versus used him a
- 2:58Speaker 3: couple of times. They ended up getting a fumble knock
- 3:02Speaker 3: the ball knocked out of jail and hurt his hand.
- 3:03Speaker 3: They recovered, I mean they scored twenty six straight points.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I mean, they got complete control of the game. Fred
- 3:10Speaker 3: Johnson went it right tackle, I mean, locked down everybody
- 3:13Speaker 3: he went against, and all of a sudden, the protection
- 3:16Speaker 3: got better.
- 3:16Speaker 5: They had to throw it for the first time over year.
- 3:18Speaker 3: They had to throw it, and they threw it and
- 3:21Speaker 3: aj Brown went after every single corner that tried to,
- 3:25Speaker 3: you know, take him on.
- 3:26Speaker 5: But you know, it was Devonte Smith catching the game winner.
- 3:29Speaker 3: But even that didn't win the game, you know, because
- 3:32Speaker 3: the Rams came right back down and they blocked two
- 3:35Speaker 3: field goals in the last four minutes, the last one
- 3:37Speaker 3: by we saw Jordan Davis, but Jalen Carter blocked one
- 3:41Speaker 3: before right It was middle block, right over the left guard.
- 3:45Speaker 3: They both backed him up. The first block by Jalen Carter,
- 3:48Speaker 3: Jordan Davis could have blocked that one as well. And
- 3:51Speaker 3: that's really the story for the Eagles defenses. Jordan Davis,
- 3:55Speaker 3: because we all recognized the talent that he had coming
- 3:58Speaker 3: out of Georgia and we just didn't see it. He
- 4:01Speaker 3: didn't stay on the field long enough to really make
- 4:03Speaker 3: an impact. I remember DJ his agent hit me up
- 4:07Speaker 3: after the game after the season last year and he
- 4:10Speaker 3: played thirteen plays in a Super Bowl. We really had
- 4:12Speaker 3: no impact. And he said, Paulie, I know you you
- 4:16Speaker 3: know you've been hard on Jordan, and I had been,
- 4:18Speaker 3: you know, but it wasn't personal.
- 4:20Speaker 5: It's never personal.
- 4:21Speaker 3: I just said, you know, he's not in good enough
- 4:23Speaker 3: condition to stay on the field to unpack these games.
- 4:25Speaker 3: He said, Jordan's going to He's going to come in
- 4:27Speaker 3: shape this year, and he did. He lost thirty pounds.
- 4:31Speaker 3: He's on the field, he's impacting the game. He's their
- 4:33Speaker 3: best defensive lineman right now. He won the game for
- 4:35Speaker 3: him yesterday. It's a chip shot field goal and it
- 4:38Speaker 3: gets blocked for a touchdown and the Eagles somehow pulled
- 4:41Speaker 3: out of their hat.
- 4:42Speaker 5: But the offense woke up, the defense did their job.
- 4:45Speaker 3: In the second half, they got to Stafford and they overcame.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Just a dreadful first half of football. Were literally only
- 4:52Speaker 3: in Philadelphia. Could you be undefeated World champs and be booed,
- 4:58Speaker 3: I ain't going to the locker room halftime. Here's sixty
- 5:00Speaker 3: five and they're all letting it fly out there, and I'm.
- 5:03Speaker 5: Like, only Hilly.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Baldy. There are a couple of things.
- 5:09Speaker 4: One Jordan Davis speaks to what we always have talked about.
- 5:15Speaker 4: When Vic Fangio joined, I heard that they ramped up
- 5:18Speaker 4: to conditioning because previously maybe they didn't put a priority
- 5:22Speaker 4: on particularly the defense, conditioning, running to the ball, doing
- 5:26Speaker 4: those things.
- 5:26Speaker 1: So Jordan Davis responding in kind.
- 5:29Speaker 4: To me, that tells you everything that you need to
- 5:32Speaker 4: know about how the conditioning part impacts the play and
- 5:35Speaker 4: the performance of a player. The other part, and this is,
- 5:39Speaker 4: I guess the thing around the league, these field goal blocks, Baldy.
- 5:43Speaker 4: I've never seen the game impacted on field goal blocks as.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Much as we've seen of late.
- 5:49Speaker 4: And I don't know if it's a schematic design, if
- 5:53Speaker 4: it's more time on task, if we're taking it for granted,
- 5:57Speaker 4: but we are seeing blocks on field go pats at
- 6:00Speaker 4: an alarming rate.
- 6:02Speaker 5: You know what's funny about that?
- 6:03Speaker 3: Real quick here, DJ Port jump in like literally almost
- 6:06Speaker 3: simultaneous to Jordan Davis blocks, Will McDonald blocks one for
- 6:11Speaker 3: the Jets, takes it back for a touchdown to give
- 6:13Speaker 3: them the twenty seven to twenty six league.
- 6:15Speaker 5: Banker finished it.
- 6:16Speaker 3: But I mean it was almost like if you were
- 6:18Speaker 3: watching these games a real time on a big screen,
- 6:21Speaker 3: you see block touchdown block touchdown almost at the exact
- 6:25Speaker 3: same time.
- 6:26Speaker 2: You know, it's funny, I'll give you a little peak
- 6:27Speaker 2: behind the curtain because I'm calling that Charger game and
- 6:32Speaker 2: money and you're calling the game. But during the breaks,
- 6:34Speaker 2: we'll check the scores and see what's going on. So
- 6:36Speaker 2: during one of the breaks, we see, oh my gosh,
- 6:39Speaker 2: you know, the Jets are like they're in the game
- 6:41Speaker 2: because it was out of control for a while, and
- 6:43Speaker 2: they're in the game. And then I look and I
- 6:45Speaker 2: show I remember pointing to him like this must have
- 6:47Speaker 2: been during a commercial or something, and I pointed him
- 6:49Speaker 2: out they're lining up to kick the field goal, like
- 6:51Speaker 2: this will kind of put this thing away. And then
- 6:53Speaker 2: you go back to calling the game, and then you
- 6:54Speaker 2: look back down at your computer and.
- 6:56Speaker 1: You see the score happen. What the heck just happened?
- 6:58Speaker 2: Like, cause you're it doesn't even and it doesn't even
- 7:01Speaker 2: function as like a possibility of that could take place.
- 7:03Speaker 2: But I guess you're gonna have to change our mindset
- 7:05Speaker 2: because this is happening more and more as you look
- 7:08Speaker 2: across these games. But I want to go back to
- 7:10Speaker 2: a couple of things. Jordan Davis. While you guys are talking,
- 7:13Speaker 2: I went back and looked at my notes. So Jordan
- 7:15Speaker 2: Davis when he was coming out, Remember he was six
- 7:18Speaker 2: h six three three and forty one pounds were in
- 7:21Speaker 2: a four to seven eighth. He was my eleventh overall player.
- 7:24Speaker 2: He played the one tech three tech. He's got a
- 7:26Speaker 2: quick first step, he can a little slap rip TfL.
- 7:29Speaker 2: He plays aware, he's block aware, he's got range versus
- 7:32Speaker 2: a run. He can walk centers back with power. The
- 7:35Speaker 2: biggest question gas tank, question mark, question mark, question mark.
- 7:39Speaker 2: So that was the whole thing, Baldy, that was the
- 7:42Speaker 2: whole thing. He just had to get himself in playing shape.
- 7:44Speaker 2: And it looks like he's done that.
- 7:45Speaker 5: So two things.
- 7:46Speaker 3: One, Bucky, you can jump in on is because you
- 7:49Speaker 3: know Dexter Lawrence, your dad coached him. But Dexter Lawrence
- 7:52Speaker 3: had the same issue his first three years with the
- 7:54Speaker 3: Giants and he couldn't stay on the field. He wasn't
- 7:56Speaker 3: impact in the passing game. And Wink Martindale really challenged
- 7:59Speaker 3: him a couple of years ago and he became like
- 8:01Speaker 3: a real dominant player. And I talked to Jordan Davis
- 8:05Speaker 3: forty game. Anybody that knows him have met him.
- 8:08Speaker 5: He's a great kid. He's very articulate, he's very self conscious.
- 8:12Speaker 3: But the thing that's amazed now DJ is he's had
- 8:14Speaker 3: three great games in a row and he won the game.
- 8:16Speaker 1: For him.
- 8:17Speaker 3: It's unbelievable what that does to a young kid's confidence
- 8:20Speaker 3: for for a long time, three years. You know, he's
- 8:23Speaker 3: the reason why. You know, he's not on the field,
- 8:26Speaker 3: he's not changing the game, he's not he's not living
- 8:29Speaker 3: up to the first round pick, he's not living up
- 8:31Speaker 3: to the eleventh pick in the draft, all this stuff,
- 8:34Speaker 3: and all of a sudden, you start making these plays
- 8:36Speaker 3: and it's because of you.
- 8:37Speaker 5: It's he's a completely different kid right now.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that's fun to see, Buck, That is fun to see.
- 8:44Speaker 4: I want to go on the Rams side because I
- 8:46Speaker 4: do think out of this loss, I think there's some
- 8:49Speaker 4: confidence for them that can be built in terms of
- 8:52Speaker 4: being a legitimate title contender. They felt like last year
- 8:55Speaker 4: when they played the Eagles, they let one slip out
- 8:57Speaker 4: of their hands that they should have been the team
- 8:59Speaker 4: that played the Super Bowl and won the Super Bowl
- 9:01Speaker 4: and those things, given how they played, but the fact
- 9:04Speaker 4: that they were able to dominate the Eagles early, they
- 9:07Speaker 4: were able to run the football successfully early they were
- 9:10Speaker 4: able to go toe to toe with the champs. Man,
- 9:13Speaker 4: I just think this sets up for the rematch in
- 9:16Speaker 4: the postseason with the Rams if they can get it
- 9:19Speaker 4: on their terms in LA. Because both of those games
- 9:22Speaker 4: have been in Philly. I believe that the Rams feel
- 9:25Speaker 4: like when they walk out of that stadium. Man, this
- 9:28Speaker 4: is a team that we have did the rights. We
- 9:30Speaker 4: just need to get them on our turf so we
- 9:32Speaker 4: can beat them. And if we beat them, we can go.
- 9:35Speaker 3: They ran the ball really well, really well. Both Blake
- 9:38Speaker 3: korm has really come on Kyron, both of them. I mean,
- 9:41Speaker 3: they controlled the line of scrimmage for basically the first
- 9:43Speaker 3: three quarters of the game.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Well, the other thing I would say, as we kind
- 9:47Speaker 2: of wrap up and we'll move on here, Eagles three
- 9:48Speaker 2: plays away from being zero to three, I mean, and
- 9:51Speaker 2: that's how razor thin the margin has.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Been for them.
- 9:54Speaker 2: But they found a way to win it the last
- 9:55Speaker 2: two points on the Eagles and we'll keep it rolling.
- 9:57Speaker 2: AJ Brown going back through all his stuff and watching
- 9:59Speaker 2: his man, I don't know, there's no you can compare
- 10:02Speaker 2: receivers and how they are in certain areas. There's no
- 10:04Speaker 2: comparison of who these physically strongest wide receiver is in
- 10:07Speaker 2: the NFL. At the top of his route, you can't
- 10:09Speaker 2: get through him. And then once he catches the ball,
- 10:11Speaker 2: he's just done a nightmare to get on the ground.
- 10:13Speaker 2: And there's two plays where normal guys, you're going to okay,
- 10:16Speaker 2: it's a heck of a catch. You got a defender
- 10:18Speaker 2: on your back, it's it it catch on the ground
- 10:21Speaker 2: over and he somehow is able to muscle his way
- 10:23Speaker 2: through and pick up big chunks after the catch. So
- 10:26Speaker 2: that was my aj Brown point. And then Baldy last one.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I'll hitch you on this and you give me a
- 10:30Speaker 2: quick rebuttal and we can move on. But I went
- 10:33Speaker 2: back and I wanted to see John Campbell had some
- 10:34Speaker 2: tackle production. So I went back and I just want
- 10:36Speaker 2: to I just want to put my eyes just on him.
- 10:38Speaker 2: And what I came away saying is, okay, look, nothing's perfect.
- 10:41Speaker 2: There's times where he gets swallowed and walled off in
- 10:43Speaker 2: those things. But I would say good advice to give
- 10:46Speaker 2: to a young player, which they've clearly given to him,
- 10:48Speaker 2: is hey, just go make a mess. Man, play fast
- 10:52Speaker 2: and make a mess. And even on the pick, even
- 10:54Speaker 2: on the pick, he gets smoked by the.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Back when he blitzes.
- 10:56Speaker 2: I think it was Karen Williams might have caught him,
- 10:58Speaker 2: but he's playing a hundred miles and that to me
- 11:00Speaker 2: is way better than trying to I don't know what
- 11:02Speaker 2: I see, What am I doing? I'm not sure. Just
- 11:04Speaker 2: play fast and make a mess.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Yeah. His partner, Zach Bond is amazing. I mean the
- 11:10Speaker 3: interception on DeVante Adams that led to the first touchdown
- 11:13Speaker 3: of the game, and I talked to him after the game.
- 11:15Speaker 3: I saw him down the field, but like he just
- 11:17Speaker 3: read the eyes of Stafford all the way, just jumped
- 11:20Speaker 3: out in front of the DeVante. He's just amazing instincts
- 11:23Speaker 3: for the game. Like literally, if you just put your
- 11:26Speaker 3: if you just put a picture and picture of camera
- 11:28Speaker 3: on Zach Bond, You're going to find the football every
- 11:31Speaker 3: single play.
- 11:32Speaker 2: No doubt. All right, let's let's go through the three
- 11:34Speaker 2: games we were at. So we'll go through those three
- 11:37Speaker 2: and then we'll move on beyond that. I'll get to
- 11:39Speaker 2: the one I was at Chargers Broncos, which was a
- 11:42Speaker 2: rock fight. Man, these are two defenses that were playing
- 11:44Speaker 2: lights out and man, the let's start on the Denver
- 11:48Speaker 2: side of things first. They have fastballs that they are
- 11:51Speaker 2: bringing after you, Jonathan Cooper, big time, big time speed.
- 11:55Speaker 2: I'd have to go through. I know we can get
- 11:56Speaker 2: the get off numbers, but if Benito is not in
- 11:59Speaker 2: the top three to four or get off guys in
- 12:01Speaker 2: the league, I'll be shocked. I mean he he got
- 12:03Speaker 2: al off the snap a few times. Uh. He was excellent.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Their defense overall played great offensively. The kind of the
- 12:10Speaker 2: turning point for them that that got the Broncos in
- 12:12Speaker 2: the game was Chargers up ten nothing inside a minute
- 12:15Speaker 2: to go and in the half they go for it
- 12:17Speaker 2: on a fourth down. You're thinking they're gonna run the ball,
- 12:19Speaker 2: They're gonna move the pocket, try and get you know,
- 12:21Speaker 2: Bonnicks on the move and Sean Payton dials up a
- 12:23Speaker 2: shot play, they catch a busted coverage, they get a touchdown.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Bam, They're right back in the game.
- 12:28Speaker 2: And they ended up being in control of the game
- 12:30Speaker 2: until Justin Herbert just you know, took over over took
- 12:33Speaker 2: over at the end. But Buck, two things I want
- 12:35Speaker 2: to hit you on. Aronde Gadson, the rookie tight end,
- 12:40Speaker 2: was awesome in this game, including the last driver two key,
- 12:43Speaker 2: two key plays he wins on a on a little
- 12:47Speaker 2: pivot route. He wins on a slant route on those
- 12:50Speaker 2: on that last two drive he got Justin's trust. It
- 12:53Speaker 2: makes two plays there. He was targeting a little bit
- 12:55Speaker 2: earlier in the game as well. So excellent performance. First
- 12:58Speaker 2: game he's been active as in his rookie season. He
- 13:01Speaker 2: steps up. And then the other one was Hampton with
- 13:03Speaker 2: the unfortunate achilles injury to Naji Harris, who had been
- 13:06Speaker 2: running the ball really well. Amarian Hampton is involved not
- 13:09Speaker 2: only as a runner and he's able to squeak through
- 13:12Speaker 2: and pop a couple, but man second half of the
- 13:14Speaker 2: game caught the ball really well and to combat all
- 13:17Speaker 2: the different rushers and blitzzes you're going to see from
- 13:19Speaker 2: that defense advanced Joseph. Their answer, which they got to
- 13:22Speaker 2: Greg Roman found was hey, let's just pitch it out.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Let's just throw the ball outside to Hampton, and he
- 13:26Speaker 2: gobbled up a lot of yards.
- 13:28Speaker 4: You know, it's funny to show about two rickies making
- 13:30Speaker 4: major contributions. One we expected Omarion Hampton. You expect him
- 13:34Speaker 4: to make a contribution. He's the first round pick. And
- 13:37Speaker 4: even though they were sharing to load him and Naja
- 13:40Speaker 4: Harris at some point, you expected him to take it
- 13:42Speaker 4: over and be the guy. And what you're seeing is
- 13:45Speaker 4: what a lot of North Carolina people would tell me
- 13:47Speaker 4: is you can't utilize them enough.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Whatever you want to see he can do.
- 13:51Speaker 4: It might not have showed up on college tape, but as
- 13:54Speaker 4: a pro, he has those skills, so you expect to
- 13:57Speaker 4: see Hampton do that. Arondies, I got to tell you
- 14:01Speaker 4: one for anyone who remembers his dad, his dad was
- 14:04Speaker 4: a freakazoid in terms of being a supersized wide receiver
- 14:09Speaker 4: down there in Miami, kind of doing things and making
- 14:11Speaker 4: it happen. Watching a Rondez Gassen junior at the East
- 14:14Speaker 4: West Shrine Bowl, you understood what he could do and
- 14:18Speaker 4: practices in terms of being a pass catching specialist in
- 14:22Speaker 4: the middle of the field. To see him first game
- 14:25Speaker 4: active make plays, it just bowls well for what the
- 14:28Speaker 4: Chargers are creating. A young, dynamic offense that has old
- 14:34Speaker 4: school values, but they got a franchise quarterback that can
- 14:37Speaker 4: make a new school whenever they need to. This is
- 14:39Speaker 4: a really good team and I can't even say they're
- 14:42Speaker 4: laying in the weeds as a contender, but they're right
- 14:44Speaker 4: there ready to make that next step and if you
- 14:47Speaker 4: know har Brough, you two is typically when it happens.
- 14:52Speaker 3: You know what caught my eye, especially towards the end
- 14:54Speaker 3: DJ is you lose beck To he's out, Jamari's in there,
- 14:58Speaker 3: you lose Pipkins, he's out. You got backup right guard,
- 15:01Speaker 3: right tackle in the game, backup to the backup right
- 15:04Speaker 3: tackle in the game, and you're not skipping a beat.
- 15:07Speaker 5: Like That's when you know the quarterback is playing.
- 15:09Speaker 3: At an unbelievable level what she was well, Like when
- 15:13Speaker 3: you stopped noticing the drop off in offensive line play
- 15:17Speaker 3: and you're down to the backups to the backups and.
- 15:19Speaker 5: You're still moving the football and scoring like that.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Another thing is, you know Quentin Johnson, there was a
- 15:24Speaker 2: nugget a nugget in the.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Research packet this week.
- 15:27Speaker 2: I think coming into this game, he was fourth in
- 15:29Speaker 2: the NFL since the start of twenty four in touchdown receptions.
- 15:33Speaker 2: And then he made some more big plays in this game,
- 15:36Speaker 2: including he got Sartana a couple times down the field.
- 15:38Speaker 2: And I was staying there on the broadcast, I'm like, guys,
- 15:41Speaker 2: the whole narrative of Quinton Johnston.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's cute.
- 15:45Speaker 2: He kind of turned it around like he can catch
- 15:47Speaker 2: the ball now, ha, Like he's a little bit better.
- 15:49Speaker 2: It's like this guy's playing like a number one receiver.
- 15:52Speaker 2: He's got the numbers to back it up. And so
- 15:54Speaker 2: then you get him rolling like that. You know, lat
- 15:57Speaker 2: mccackie hadn't had like a huge, huge game yet, he
- 15:59Speaker 2: doesn't really had to keenan still clutches. Ever, when you
- 16:02Speaker 2: get in those third down situations and now I'm say, okay,
- 16:05Speaker 2: well these are all established guys now, and now you
- 16:07Speaker 2: mix in a couple of these rookies. They're dropping in
- 16:09Speaker 2: there now. They're gonna have to go get another back.
- 16:11Speaker 2: They're gonna you know, they have Hassan Haskins there. They
- 16:12Speaker 2: got to get another back. Now that Najee Harris is
- 16:14Speaker 2: going to be down, and you know, Herbert can't continue
- 16:17Speaker 2: to get hit like that. I don't know how many
- 16:19Speaker 2: teams defensively are equipped to do what the Broncos do.
- 16:22Speaker 2: I came out of that stadium in the Broncos. I mean,
- 16:24Speaker 2: they let one get away against the week previous week,
- 16:28Speaker 2: and this one was, you know, like they had a
- 16:31Speaker 2: real good shot to win this game. So there you go, Drew,
- 16:34Speaker 2: just put it up in the in the not Bernito. Yeah,
- 16:37Speaker 2: point seventy four, top five in the league in terms
- 16:39Speaker 2: of his get off and the number one guy with
- 16:41Speaker 2: Jonathan Cooper his teammates. So that's one of those ones.
- 16:44Speaker 2: I love when we can do that in real time, Bald,
- 16:46Speaker 2: because your eyes when you're watching it, you're like, these
- 16:48Speaker 2: guys are getting off the rock, man, Well, you.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Know, I mean, it's it's just you know, the old
- 16:52Speaker 3: saying that you can't win the hundred meters das unless
- 16:54Speaker 3: you get a great start.
- 16:56Speaker 5: And yes, it's everything right now, it's the start.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Like if you Bryce Huff in San Francisco right now,
- 17:01Speaker 3: you get a great start, you're gonna give these tackles
- 17:04Speaker 3: problems to the league. Man, you're gonna get you're gonna
- 17:06Speaker 3: get them turned, and you're gonna have a chance to get.
- 17:08Speaker 1: To the quarterback, no question. But that was a big win.
- 17:12Speaker 2: The Chargers start off three and oh, three and oh
- 17:14Speaker 2: inside the division, so when you factor in the type,
- 17:17Speaker 2: I think they're two and a half up on everybody
- 17:19Speaker 2: in the division. So pretty incredible start for Jim Harbaugh
- 17:22Speaker 2: and the Bolts.
- 17:23Speaker 5: Buck.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Let's get to your game here. Not at all what
- 17:26Speaker 2: I anticipated. I mean I went back and watched I'll
- 17:29Speaker 2: get to what I watched of it in a little
- 17:30Speaker 2: bit here, but just tell me what it was like
- 17:32Speaker 2: in the stadium in a weird Houston Jacksonville game.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Look, it was a good game to watch. Offensively, if
- 17:38Speaker 4: you lay office the ball, this hit you back. A
- 17:41Speaker 4: lot of drop passes from the Jaguars. Brian Thomas Jr.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Has a bit of the yips. He's having a tough
- 17:47Speaker 4: time catching the ball, but a bunch of other players
- 17:49Speaker 4: are struggling as well. And then when you look at
- 17:52Speaker 4: the Texans, the Texans just are trying to figure out
- 17:55Speaker 4: this new offense and they don't have an identity. And
- 17:59Speaker 4: I'll be honest, Cia Stroud is struggling in terms of
- 18:03Speaker 4: you know, we talked about the sophomore slump and that
- 18:05Speaker 4: way in year three. He's struggling trying to figure out
- 18:08Speaker 4: where everything is. And someone who is so gifted as
- 18:12Speaker 4: a passer, like the body's not connecting with the mind
- 18:16Speaker 4: and so his superpowers are negated by the overthinking and
- 18:20Speaker 4: it's really kind of ground this offense to a halt.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I went back and watched just a Stroud part
- 18:27Speaker 2: of it, because man, his rookie year, there's so much
- 18:31Speaker 2: good and even last year was up and down.
- 18:33Speaker 1: But I was shoot.
- 18:33Speaker 2: I was in the building and he carved up the
- 18:35Speaker 2: Chargers of the number one defense in the NFL. After
- 18:38Speaker 2: a slow start in that game, he got heated up.
- 18:41Speaker 2: To me, I was just watching that. Man, there's no
- 18:43Speaker 2: rhythm to it. I feel like every throw is pretty hard.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Like Baldy, I want to get your thoughts on this
- 18:48Speaker 2: because going through and watching all these games this morning
- 18:51Speaker 2: and going through and watching the different cutups, I wanted
- 18:52Speaker 2: to peek out. One of the things I've noticed is, man,
- 18:56Speaker 2: if your offense is not incorporating a lot of smoke's greens,
- 19:00Speaker 2: tunnel screens quick here like these are not only are
- 19:03Speaker 2: they you know, look you get the escort screens we
- 19:06Speaker 2: see out there all the time, like you need to
- 19:08Speaker 2: be getting. Those are six to seven completions of game.
- 19:11Speaker 2: You should just bake in. Those are gimmes and if
- 19:13Speaker 2: they pop, they pop. If not, what they do is
- 19:16Speaker 2: they work as kind of a rhythm, a rhythm builder
- 19:18Speaker 2: for a quarterback. When you drop back and you're looking
- 19:20Speaker 2: at it, everything is hard and covered and down the field. Man,
- 19:23Speaker 2: that's hard way to play quarterback with all the two
- 19:26Speaker 2: high looks and the shell coverage you see in this league.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Not only that, but you know the offense line has
- 19:30Speaker 3: not played well and it's all new and you know,
- 19:33Speaker 3: whether it's Titus Howard or ariantae Urseri, I mean Lake
- 19:36Speaker 3: and Thomas has been this league a long time.
- 19:38Speaker 5: He doesn't miss games, but he's not a very good player.
- 19:40Speaker 3: Yeah, and you know to plug him in that left
- 19:42Speaker 3: guard like they they've had a problem at left guard
- 19:44Speaker 3: for a long time. And you could change coaches, offensive
- 19:46Speaker 3: line coach coordinators like they have a lot of those
- 19:49Speaker 3: issues are still there. And I don't care who you are,
- 19:51Speaker 3: you get hit early in these games, Like you know,
- 19:54Speaker 3: I think that I saw Trey vonn who's having a.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Great season walker roster. He's becoming a dominant player.
- 20:01Speaker 3: He looks like a number one pick, you know, the
- 20:03Speaker 3: way physically, like he's getting after guys like they're not
- 20:06Speaker 3: staying you know, nobody's staying in front of him right now.
- 20:08Speaker 3: And so the quarterback kids said early, man, like you're
- 20:11Speaker 3: gonna be a little skintch. I know, we got the
- 20:13Speaker 3: big touchdown to Nico, but I mean, honestly, like it's
- 20:16Speaker 3: it's been a real problem.
- 20:18Speaker 2: But you gotta but to me that that thing that
- 20:20Speaker 2: comes back to my point though, you've got to have
- 20:22Speaker 2: stuff baked in to control then, like I watched it,
- 20:24Speaker 2: we just talked about the chart. I watched Justin Herbert
- 20:26Speaker 2: get the tar kicked out of him, and then eventually
- 20:28Speaker 2: they figured out, Hey, we're just gonna release Hampton like
- 20:30Speaker 2: we're keeping keeping him. Man, they still got us out number.
- 20:32Speaker 2: We're we're having trouble picking this stuff up. We're just
- 20:34Speaker 2: gonna he's gonna have a place to get the ball
- 20:36Speaker 2: out quick.
- 20:37Speaker 1: You know.
- 20:38Speaker 3: You know who does did that a lot yesterday with
- 20:39Speaker 3: Sean McVay. Like they run a lot of fly sweeps.
- 20:42Speaker 3: They run a lot of stuff to meat uh to
- 20:44Speaker 3: nicula on the outside and they're just trying to pick
- 20:46Speaker 3: up a block and go trying to rather than just
- 20:49Speaker 3: trying to hammer it inside against the eagles.
- 20:51Speaker 5: I mean, they found different ways to run it.
- 20:53Speaker 3: But I'm with you, DJ, you got to get some
- 20:55Speaker 3: easy completions and just get the ball out of his
- 20:58Speaker 3: hands without having to really think about it and diagnose
- 21:01Speaker 3: something pre snap.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Real quick, buck before we move on, give me the
- 21:05Speaker 2: Travis Hunter update. I rely on you every week. What
- 21:08Speaker 2: was the usage, how they use him and what do
- 21:09Speaker 2: you do?
- 21:10Speaker 1: I mean he played a lot.
- 21:11Speaker 4: I mean he played a lot of defense. He's on
- 21:13Speaker 4: the field, he's all over the place. They can do
- 21:15Speaker 4: a better job of getting in the ball in a
- 21:17Speaker 4: critical moment. They found it to him on like a
- 21:19Speaker 4: little curl. He makes a move dress out and you
- 21:22Speaker 4: can see the explosiveness. The problem that they're having is
- 21:26Speaker 4: there's a lack of confidence because they had so many
- 21:28Speaker 4: drops in the game that now the quarterback is pressing
- 21:32Speaker 4: trying to figure out who I can trust, and so
- 21:34Speaker 4: Breton Strange was the guy that he could rely on.
- 21:36Speaker 4: Travis Hunter, I would say, would probably be second in
- 21:38Speaker 4: that group. I think going forward you'll probably see a
- 21:42Speaker 4: re shuffling of the deck when it comes to the
- 21:45Speaker 4: pecking order.
- 21:46Speaker 1: But I think Travis Hunters started getting more balls.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Yeah, they put it in their thirty five snaps on offense,
- 21:51Speaker 2: forty one on defense, so darn near fifty.
- 21:53Speaker 5: A lot of tackles in that game, Bucky, Yeah.
- 21:54Speaker 1: The tackles.
- 21:56Speaker 4: The thing that I will say is the JAG's defense
- 21:58Speaker 4: is playing much better for as exceeded expectations. Josh Heinz
- 22:03Speaker 4: Allen Eric Armstead on the inside and Treyvon Walker. They're
- 22:06Speaker 4: getting after it and what they're able to do now
- 22:08Speaker 4: they're playing zone, so it's a sea ball kipball defense.
- 22:11Speaker 1: They have nine takeaways I think in three games.
- 22:14Speaker 4: They're I mean they're getting tips and overthrows and the
- 22:18Speaker 4: zone is working because they have these dynamic athletes that
- 22:20Speaker 4: are just tracking the ball and you're seeing more plays.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Travis Hunter hasn't scratched yet.
- 22:26Speaker 4: But it's only a matter of time because the way
- 22:28Speaker 4: they're playing the zone, he is going to snack some
- 22:30Speaker 4: balls out there.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Let me ask you a buck Yus. I don't know
- 22:32Speaker 3: much about companyly. You know, the new defensive coordinator man,
- 22:35Speaker 3: but obviously the breakdowns they had last year were ridiculous.
- 22:38Speaker 3: I mean there's turn of guys lose, but I don't
- 22:40Speaker 3: see that right now. What is what is his strength?
- 22:43Speaker 3: Why did Liam like lean on this guy right here
- 22:45Speaker 3: to run this defense?
- 22:47Speaker 1: So it's funny body.
- 22:48Speaker 4: As much as I would love to say that it's
- 22:49Speaker 4: the exison hosts, I would say that what I've learned
- 22:52Speaker 4: from watching this team, it is all about the connectivity
- 22:56Speaker 4: between players and coaches and talking to guys after the
- 23:00Speaker 4: talking to some of their veteran leaders, they were like,
- 23:02Speaker 4: it's a difference in having coaches say things that you
- 23:05Speaker 4: actually believe in and wanting to play for them as
- 23:09Speaker 4: opposed to just going out and playing. And so I
- 23:12Speaker 4: would say Camp has challenged the guys, but he's challenged
- 23:16Speaker 4: the guys. And it's almost like when you have an
- 23:18Speaker 4: old teacher that tells you, ay, Baldy, I promise you
- 23:20Speaker 4: if you just follow the formula, it'll take and you
- 23:23Speaker 4: do that first big problem and it's right. And so
- 23:27Speaker 4: now the trust that you have and the teacher takes
- 23:30Speaker 4: you to the next level. That is what's happened. Kevinnillius
- 23:33Speaker 4: told those guys, if you run to the ball, if
- 23:35Speaker 4: you keep the ball in front, I promise you, good
- 23:37Speaker 4: things are going to happen. And over the first three games,
- 23:40Speaker 4: those things have happened, and so now their confidence is
- 23:43Speaker 4: sky high.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Through the roof.
- 23:44Speaker 2: No doubt, it's been a different unit completely, and they've
- 23:48Speaker 2: always had guys on that side of the ball particularly.
- 23:50Speaker 2: So good to see the Jacks playing. Well, let's take
- 23:52Speaker 2: a quick break, we come back, we'll knock out.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Some other games.
- 23:58Speaker 2: All right, Baldy, I saw you had posted on this
- 24:01Speaker 2: and then actually after you posted it than I wanted
- 24:03Speaker 2: to go through and check it out for myself. So
- 24:06Speaker 2: and I'll set this up properly because we've mentioned Bucky
- 24:09Speaker 2: and I have mentioned this no shortage of ten times
- 24:12Speaker 2: on the show where we've said we were out there together,
- 24:15Speaker 2: shoulder to shoulder watching Jimmy Garoppolo and Davante Adams carve
- 24:20Speaker 2: up the Dallas secondary like a Thanksgiving turkey during during
- 24:24Speaker 2: traning camp, and we came out of that saying the
- 24:27Speaker 2: Rams are going to score sixty points a game or
- 24:29Speaker 2: this Dallas back in is horrendous, and I think we're
- 24:31Speaker 2: figuring out, Hey, the Rams are, They're pretty good, But Baldy,
- 24:34Speaker 2: the bigger takeaway is Dallas defensively.
- 24:37Speaker 1: What in the world is going if they make.
- 24:38Speaker 5: It any easier for Caleb Williams. I mean they left
- 24:42Speaker 5: meat on the bouncer. They have meat on the.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Bouncer, trying to jam like a one an jam live
- 24:47Speaker 3: on Roman Doomsday and Missus and falls and Domsay is
- 24:50Speaker 3: like literally it's like a Friday afternoon like egg toss.
- 24:54Speaker 5: That's one ye.
- 24:55Speaker 3: And then like you know, look, Kyer Elim, I know
- 24:59Speaker 3: where he got drafted I mean that guy's out there,
- 25:01Speaker 3: he's a liability man. Yeah, like Caleb, he threw four
- 25:05Speaker 3: touchdown passes. Honestly, three guys were completely wide open, you know.
- 25:11Speaker 3: I mean, you know, the kid from Missouri is a
- 25:13Speaker 3: really good player, but I mean it helps me nobody's
- 25:16Speaker 3: covering him. I mean it's a one breakdown after another.
- 25:18Speaker 3: And the other part to this, I mean, Jerry Jones
- 25:22Speaker 3: doesn't want to hear this. They've got no pass rush,
- 25:24Speaker 3: no pass rush. I mean in Chicago, who struggled like
- 25:26Speaker 3: crazy against Detroit. Like, honestly, Caleb barely got hit in
- 25:31Speaker 3: that game. In fact, he got hit one time by
- 25:33Speaker 3: Sam Williams after he completed the pass. I mean, he
- 25:36Speaker 3: couldn't get near him in this game, and that was
- 25:38Speaker 3: that was a big story. But like, you can't give
- 25:40Speaker 3: it up any easier than they gave it up.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm going through my notes, Buck, and it's one
- 25:46Speaker 2: thing when you write lay up, you know, open easy,
- 25:50Speaker 2: when you write all caps, comet, wide open, all caps
- 25:54Speaker 2: all the way across, exclamation point, exclamation point, exclamation point.
- 25:58Speaker 2: They were actually you know, and Caleb play well. They
- 26:00Speaker 2: made it easy on him, but I thought they left
- 26:02Speaker 2: a little meat on the bone, like, there were probably
- 26:03Speaker 2: three or four throws that he would love.
- 26:05Speaker 5: He definitely.
- 26:07Speaker 2: They had some opportunities that he missed. When he when
- 26:09Speaker 2: he's driving the ball in the scene, for some reason,
- 26:11Speaker 2: it takes off on him. There's times where I think
- 26:13Speaker 2: he's overthrowing it and the ball just kind of jumps
- 26:15Speaker 2: on him and he's missed. But the thing that I
- 26:18Speaker 2: liked about in talking about Caleb every week, the things
- 26:20Speaker 2: that I continue to see improvement in. He had four
- 26:23Speaker 2: runs in this game. Okay, technically four runs. Two were
- 26:26Speaker 2: nil down. So he had two runs in this game,
- 26:29Speaker 2: and they were both zone reads designed quarterbacks run yeah.
- 26:32Speaker 1: And then you had some other drop backs.
- 26:33Speaker 2: He had two scrambles, and on the scrambles, one is
- 26:35Speaker 2: where they're moving the pocket, so he already got him
- 26:37Speaker 2: kind of in movement mode and then he sees it
- 26:40Speaker 2: and takes it.
- 26:40Speaker 1: The other one was a.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Trick play, another one of the trick plays that they tried,
- 26:43Speaker 2: and it wasn't there. So he takes off and runs.
- 26:45Speaker 2: But there's not this panic. There's not this I got
- 26:49Speaker 2: to get out of here. I got to get out
- 26:50Speaker 2: of here. And he's finding check down. So he's starting
- 26:52Speaker 2: to realize. Look, I don't think DeAndre Swift's a great
- 26:55Speaker 2: runner of the football, but he's actually really valuable in
- 26:58Speaker 2: the screen game and catching the ball out of the
- 26:59Speaker 2: back field. And you know, look, he's been with him twice.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Ben Johnson's had him twice. I think he knows who
- 27:04Speaker 2: and what he is. But they're figuring out a way
- 27:06Speaker 2: to get him the ball and those opportunities, which shows
- 27:08Speaker 2: growth to me from Caleb. But that was you know, hey, look,
- 27:12Speaker 2: if you can just start with the simple things, let's
- 27:14Speaker 2: hit guys when they're you know, make it wide open.
- 27:17Speaker 2: He's doing that. Let's let's not just try and you know,
- 27:20Speaker 2: make some incredible scramble play on every single drop back.
- 27:23Speaker 2: He's doing a better job of that. And he's finding
- 27:24Speaker 2: his he's finding his outlet, he's finding his checkdown buck.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Those are three tangible ways we can say Caleb Williams
- 27:30Speaker 2: has shown growth in getting better.
- 27:32Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think it was a perfect storm playing
- 27:35Speaker 4: the Chicago Bears. Chicago Bears are simplest. I mean, playing
- 27:38Speaker 4: the boys. Matu is simplistic by design. Made Tampa two.
- 27:43Speaker 4: They're not gonna do a lot of disguise. It's gonna
- 27:45Speaker 4: be very easy for them in terms of seeing what
- 27:48Speaker 4: they're doing. The PICI is not gonna change a lot
- 27:50Speaker 4: post snap, and then it's a matter of are you
- 27:52Speaker 4: disciplined enough to take what's available now.
- 27:55Speaker 1: The thing is, you should not see.
- 27:58Speaker 4: The bust that you're seeing from the cow Boys, given
- 28:01Speaker 4: the simplicity of the scheme.
- 28:04Speaker 5: None.
- 28:04Speaker 2: I don't think there was a two. I was looking
- 28:05Speaker 2: for the two. I didn't see that too. You should
- 28:07Speaker 2: not care.
- 28:08Speaker 4: You should not see these breakdowns, And to me, it
- 28:11Speaker 4: speaks to a lack of discipline and a lack of
- 28:13Speaker 4: attention to detail from their players because look, I know, look,
- 28:16Speaker 4: I've seen this defense with Maddy Eberflus work successfully in
- 28:20Speaker 4: Indianapolis and all those things. But for whatever reason, there's
- 28:24Speaker 4: there's a disconnect up front. And it also doesn't help
- 28:27Speaker 4: when you have no one, I mean no one who
- 28:30Speaker 4: can rush the passer.
- 28:31Speaker 1: I don't care what defense you play.
- 28:33Speaker 4: If you can't affect a quarterback, you got no chance
- 28:35Speaker 4: in this league.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Yeah, well, well it speaks to just one big, like
- 28:40Speaker 3: a league wide issue. I see, Like I know everybody
- 28:43Speaker 3: says quarterback driven league, it's a cornerback driven league.
- 28:47Speaker 5: And I see some of the worst corner play right now.
- 28:49Speaker 3: There's not enough of them, Nick, you begin with, and
- 28:52Speaker 3: then they're asking guys that aren't very good to do
- 28:54Speaker 3: things that they're not very good at. And so I
- 28:56Speaker 3: just see the shortage of good corners in this business
- 29:00Speaker 3: right now. And if you can get three or four
- 29:03Speaker 3: of them that can stay on the field and stay healthy,
- 29:05Speaker 3: then you're way ahead of the curve of how you
- 29:07Speaker 3: want to play defense.
- 29:08Speaker 2: No doubt, Baldy Cleveland, Green Bay. That may be the
- 29:12Speaker 2: most shocking result of the weekend.
- 29:15Speaker 5: It was, except this.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Is third three weeks in a row now where the
- 29:19Speaker 3: defense has carried this team, and they got after Jordan
- 29:24Speaker 3: Love in the past game, they completely shut down your run.
- 29:27Speaker 5: Josh Jacobs got a couple.
- 29:29Speaker 3: But these two rookies, Mason Graham and Carson's Wessinger, like
- 29:33Speaker 3: they're incredible, Like they know how to play the game.
- 29:37Speaker 5: Questioner is sideline and sideline.
- 29:39Speaker 3: He got a sacked the other day coming out of
- 29:41Speaker 3: you know, out there somewhere in the curl flat, you know,
- 29:43Speaker 3: like he was twenty yards away from Jordan Love and
- 29:46Speaker 3: got him down. But he comes one hundred miles out
- 29:48Speaker 3: ro Mason Graham. The thing that impressed me, dj is.
- 29:51Speaker 3: I didn't think he was going to be a good
- 29:53Speaker 3: pass rusher. I thought he had played with leverage. I
- 29:56Speaker 3: thought he was technically sound. You see all that in
- 29:58Speaker 3: the run game. But he knows how to get on
- 30:00Speaker 3: the edge. He knows and and because of the way
- 30:03Speaker 3: Schwartze gets after it, either by adding a fifth rusher
- 30:09Speaker 3: or their twist stunts that they run, like that's sometimes
- 30:11Speaker 3: all you need to move that quarterback. And then here
- 30:13Speaker 3: comes Alex right, We're here comes uh, you know, Elie
- 30:16Speaker 3: Collins on a pick and like they really affected the
- 30:20Speaker 3: passing game of green Bay. And I don't think anybody
- 30:23Speaker 3: thought they could do that to green Bay.
- 30:25Speaker 5: And that was that.
- 30:26Speaker 3: They did it for three quarters to Baltimore the week
- 30:29Speaker 3: before they completely shut down Derrick Henry.
- 30:31Speaker 5: They did it to Joe Burrow week one. They should
- 30:33Speaker 5: have won that game. You don't need stats at all
- 30:37Speaker 5: to watch Cleveland say that's the best defensive football.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Yeah, a couple of things. Buck.
- 30:41Speaker 2: By the way, we're gonna I'm gonna put forth a
- 30:43Speaker 2: nominee show of hands. Can we nominate Jim Schwartz for
- 30:45Speaker 2: our coordinator of the week. We're gonna go h we
- 30:47Speaker 2: get a three for three from that shorts he wins
- 30:50Speaker 2: that award.
- 30:51Speaker 5: He loves to hear that too deep.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, uh Graham. Going back through, I've watched
- 30:59Speaker 2: I've won him every week. It's kind of been a
- 31:01Speaker 2: pet project because he was getting so much grief. He
- 31:04Speaker 2: pukes at a practice and then in the preseason he
- 31:07Speaker 2: gets flat backed by by I don't know it was
- 31:09Speaker 2: Trey Smith or whoever in one play, and it's like, oh,
- 31:11Speaker 2: so now we have a verdict on the guy that
- 31:13Speaker 2: every thought, we all agreed was a really good player
- 31:15Speaker 2: at Michigan. So I've watched him each and every week
- 31:17Speaker 2: and then watch him going through this week. He have
- 31:19Speaker 2: four pressures. He's got an innate feel on games, like
- 31:23Speaker 2: when you run games that's not everybody, Oh, it's just simple.
- 31:26Speaker 2: There's a feel of technique to that. He's very good
- 31:28Speaker 2: at it. That he's that wrestler. So he plays with
- 31:32Speaker 2: the leverage he's gotten that little push pull, little snatch move.
- 31:35Speaker 2: He's got such upper strength and corp strength, and he's
- 31:38Speaker 2: able to get guys off their skis a little bit
- 31:40Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden, you look and he
- 31:42Speaker 2: beats you with just a pure get off and he's
- 31:44Speaker 2: just ripping through and getting pressure that way against the run.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Everybody knows he's because of the wrestling thing. Front side
- 31:51Speaker 2: leverage all no problem. He's winning backside with quickness and
- 31:55Speaker 2: making plays on the backside. Beat and cut off them off.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Can't cut him off. So he's been awesome. And I
- 32:00Speaker 2: was thinking about this trade, uh buck, from this standpoint,
- 32:04Speaker 2: do you remember the the Stafford golf trade? And the
- 32:07Speaker 2: whole thing was, Okay, they're tradings. The Detroit's trading Stafford
- 32:12Speaker 2: for a bunch of for draft picks because they want.
- 32:14Speaker 1: To get younger. And then there's golf, like it was
- 32:17Speaker 1: the it was Bill that.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Yeah, golf was kind of the other piece, whereas and
- 32:21Speaker 2: then Cleveland was, hey, we don't have our quarterbacks, so
- 32:23Speaker 2: we're going to trade this pick with Travis Hunter available
- 32:27Speaker 2: for draft picks. You know, that's kind of the and
- 32:29Speaker 2: then and then oh yeah, they ended up getting Mason Graham.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Like I feel like Mason Graham and Jared Goff weren't
- 32:33Speaker 2: the key components of those trades. And in some ways
- 32:36Speaker 2: it's like, well, hold up, let's pay attention here. Jared
- 32:39Speaker 2: Goff obviously is huge with the with the Lions and
- 32:41Speaker 2: their success. Mason Graham, that's the cherry on top because
- 32:44Speaker 2: they're going to have two first round picks next year.
- 32:47Speaker 4: You know, it's funny because I hate you guys raving
- 32:50Speaker 4: about their defense. And I think in the middle of
- 32:52Speaker 4: this game, uh Ketas and Fanski had an epiphany and
- 32:57Speaker 4: we'll continue to have an epiphany in terms of how
- 32:58Speaker 4: this team needs to play. Quin Shawne Jenkins gets eighteen carries,
- 33:02Speaker 4: ninety four rushing yards.
- 33:04Speaker 1: He's averaging over five yards and carry.
- 33:06Speaker 4: And when you have a great defense, as we're talking
- 33:08Speaker 4: about the best defense in football, the Cleveland Browns have
- 33:12Speaker 4: to embrace an ugly brand of ball that can make
- 33:15Speaker 4: it make them really the team no one wants to face,
- 33:18Speaker 4: because as the weather turns and as it gets cold,
- 33:21Speaker 4: and as you're having to go to the dog pound,
- 33:24Speaker 4: they can run the football effectively with the rookie, They
- 33:27Speaker 4: can play great defense. They can make every game like
- 33:30Speaker 4: a game of half court basketball, and all it takes
- 33:34Speaker 4: is a turnover or two and you look up and
- 33:36Speaker 4: you walk out of there with an l if. They
- 33:38Speaker 4: embrace who they are with a great defense and compliment
- 33:42Speaker 4: it with a very conservative, run oriented offense.
- 33:48Speaker 1: This team.
- 33:48Speaker 4: I'm not saying they're gonna be a playoff team, but
- 33:50Speaker 4: they could be a tough out that you don't want
- 33:52Speaker 4: to have to deal with each and every week.
- 33:54Speaker 3: The other part to the draft process DJ is so
- 33:57Speaker 3: they take Quinn Shawn Jenkins, you know, in the in
- 34:00Speaker 3: the second round, and then they get Dylan Samson. Ye,
- 34:02Speaker 3: and you watch these two guys like, you don't need
- 34:05Speaker 3: anybody else. You got two fresh legs, they can practice.
- 34:09Speaker 3: Samson catches the ball great, Quinn Shawn is your number one.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Like they've got a real combination right now going forward.
- 34:18Speaker 3: And look, I mean Nick Chubb was a great player,
- 34:20Speaker 3: but honestly, it almost goes back to that, you know,
- 34:24Speaker 3: not de emphasizing running backs is you want great running backs.
- 34:27Speaker 3: But what's wrong with drafting too, you know what's right,
- 34:30Speaker 3: what's wrong with drafting? You know the sweet spot in
- 34:33Speaker 3: the second round where a lot of these guys fall,
- 34:35Speaker 3: and then go get yourself that fourth round pick like
- 34:37Speaker 3: Samson and you know out of Tennessee and a little
- 34:41Speaker 3: bit of a guy can do everything.
- 34:43Speaker 5: I mean, it's pretty good approach.
- 34:44Speaker 2: So you mentioned the two running backs Harold fannin Bucks, that's.
- 34:48Speaker 1: That's very often rookies. Isaiah.
- 34:51Speaker 2: We talked about Swetzs and Gerry and Graham, like, that's
- 34:53Speaker 2: a heck of a draft class man.
- 34:55Speaker 5: Yeah, and that la Aiden Huntington is a good player. Yeah,
- 34:59Speaker 5: he's the lead back on the touchdown.
- 35:00Speaker 3: He's a he's a you know, he's a rotating kid
- 35:03Speaker 3: on defensive tackles. You know, he's a free agent at
- 35:06Speaker 3: a two lane, but he's he's in the mix special
- 35:09Speaker 3: teams all three phase.
- 35:10Speaker 5: Of the game.
- 35:11Speaker 3: It's a it's a nice little you know, uh, being
- 35:15Speaker 3: able to use his abilities.
- 35:17Speaker 1: No question.
- 35:21Speaker 2: I want to get to some more young guys as
- 35:22Speaker 2: we get to this next game here Jets and Bucks
- 35:25Speaker 2: and uh, you know, it's funny.
- 35:27Speaker 1: I watched this game just looking at it.
- 35:30Speaker 2: I want to watch a couple of things, and I saw,
- 35:31Speaker 2: like Levonte David had eleven tackles. Levonte David's thirty five
- 35:34Speaker 2: years old, you know, so I wanted to watch that.
- 35:37Speaker 2: And this is why he keep the box. Scores can
- 35:38Speaker 2: be different than the game. So you go watch it
- 35:40Speaker 2: and I'm actually go through the tape and I'm like,
- 35:42Speaker 2: you know, he actually missed a sack, missed a couple
- 35:44Speaker 2: of tackles, potentially I think tackles for loss, like he
- 35:46Speaker 2: could have had a monster game, and I think twenty
- 35:48Speaker 2: five year old Levante David that's like, that's like an
- 35:50Speaker 2: old school eighteen tackle two sack like elite, elite performance.
- 35:55Speaker 2: But he's still he's still good. He just not you know,
- 35:57Speaker 2: kind of what he was. And then you look on
- 35:58Speaker 2: the other side to see Mike Evan. Mike Evans makes
- 36:01Speaker 2: a couple of plays. Mike Evin I think had three
- 36:02Speaker 2: drops when I was going through there looking at that
- 36:05Speaker 2: where he had opportunities. So again, Mike Evans not quite
- 36:07Speaker 2: what he was. So if you're a general manager and
- 36:10Speaker 2: you've got some good aging players who are unbelievable leaders
- 36:12Speaker 2: and winners and future Hall of famers, then man, we
- 36:15Speaker 2: got to supplement them with some good young players. And Baldi,
- 36:18Speaker 2: I look, get a Mecca Buka. It is every week
- 36:21Speaker 2: he's doing some freaky stuff. Man, it's unreal.
- 36:23Speaker 5: The one handed catch was unreal. I mean, pump that
- 36:26Speaker 5: right to his resume. Real. Baker implicitly trusts him.
- 36:29Speaker 3: I mean the you know, Evans gets hurt, you know
- 36:31Speaker 3: they I mean like they have backup to backups on
- 36:35Speaker 3: the offensive line. They didn't have one guy in their
- 36:37Speaker 3: natural spot. They lose mockt they you know, they lose
- 36:40Speaker 3: the right guard. I mean it was all backups in there,
- 36:44Speaker 3: and you know you're going up against you know, Will
- 36:46Speaker 3: McDonald and Quinn Williams. They made plays, but you know,
- 36:49Speaker 3: Baker just he's just so crafty man with the ball,
- 36:52Speaker 3: like his ability just to be able. It's like squeezing jello,
- 36:56Speaker 3: like he's gonna find somewhere to come out of and
- 36:59Speaker 3: extend the play.
- 37:00Speaker 5: But ultimately he's gonna find a buka for a big play.
- 37:03Speaker 3: And I don't know, Like I know, Sauce Garter was
- 37:07Speaker 3: a high pick and he's gotten paid big, but man,
- 37:10Speaker 3: those penalties that he's committed.
- 37:11Speaker 5: Two weeks in a row.
- 37:13Speaker 3: I started for what started and you give them a
- 37:16Speaker 3: first down, like you can't if you have a free
- 37:19Speaker 3: agent out there and he's just you know, you just
- 37:22Speaker 3: called a kid up from a practice squad.
- 37:23Speaker 5: You might expect that miscape. You can't, like sales can't
- 37:26Speaker 5: make that mistake.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I would agree with you. And in theory are
- 37:30Speaker 2: about it. I thought that specific one was. Yeah, there
- 37:33Speaker 2: was a whole lot there. Man, they kind of each
- 37:35Speaker 2: got their hand out touching each other. I don't think
- 37:36Speaker 2: it impacted to throw it all. And I was actually
- 37:38Speaker 2: I had a Jets fan friend as a baseball guy.
- 37:41Speaker 1: It sent me a text and he was like.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Can they fix this rule where it just we're just
- 37:46Speaker 2: going to bail out these offenses on third and forever
- 37:49Speaker 2: you get a tick tack TICKI tech penalty and that's
- 37:52Speaker 2: that's a that's not a ten to fifteen yard penalty.
- 37:54Speaker 2: That's a massive penalty, and you kind of bail out
- 37:57Speaker 2: the offense almost like Buck. I don't know if you
- 37:59Speaker 2: ever you know, being in both those position rooms and
- 38:01Speaker 2: as a receiver and a DA it's almost liked, man,
- 38:05Speaker 2: come on, let's have you ever complained to refle like, hey,
- 38:06Speaker 2: let's have a little awareness of like this is your
- 38:08Speaker 2: barrel on these guys out on.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Is one of my biggest gripes with the rule.
- 38:14Speaker 4: I think they make it too easy to throw balls
- 38:17Speaker 4: up in these desperate situations and reward the offense with
- 38:20Speaker 4: a first down look. Sauce Gardener has to be aware.
- 38:23Speaker 4: Sauce Garden's played in the all pro level. He has
- 38:25Speaker 4: to play better, giving the money, a conversation and the expectation,
- 38:30Speaker 4: but he can't put his team in that situation. As
- 38:34Speaker 4: I go back and I look at the bucks Man,
- 38:36Speaker 4: Baker Mayfield, third week in a row, game winning drive,
- 38:39Speaker 4: finishes in the final minute, making a strong case for
- 38:42Speaker 4: the MVP. And I think we've said this when we
- 38:46Speaker 4: look at him, we look at Daniel Jones, we look
- 38:49Speaker 4: at some of these other quarterbacks.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Man, you can't give up on a quarterback too soon.
- 38:54Speaker 4: The right environment, scheme, player supporting cast, all those things
- 39:00Speaker 4: can really help a player find his role. And I
- 39:03Speaker 4: think Baker Mayfield and Tampa and best version of Baker
- 39:06Speaker 4: that we've ever seen, and it's only going to get
- 39:10Speaker 4: better as they continue to believe in him and empower
- 39:13Speaker 4: him not only on the field but with the people
- 39:16Speaker 4: that they put around him to really compliment his game
- 39:19Speaker 4: and allow him to be at his best every week.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Baldy, can I ask you a question on this real quick?
- 39:24Speaker 2: On that point, the Buck just made so talking with
- 39:27Speaker 2: personnel guys around the league, and we're early in the
- 39:29Speaker 2: college season, but there hasn't been you know, Mendoz has
- 39:31Speaker 2: played well at Indiana, but there hasn't been anybody just
- 39:33Speaker 2: wowing anybody from the quarterback standpoint. So they were one
- 39:37Speaker 2: of them asked me you know, hey, who do you
- 39:39Speaker 2: think will emerge? Who you think will be that guy?
- 39:41Speaker 2: And I said, I don't know, man. You look around
- 39:43Speaker 2: the league and now you see Daniel Jones light in
- 39:45Speaker 2: the world on fire. And we've seen Sam, we've seen Baker,
- 39:47Speaker 2: we've seen go We've seen all these guys.
- 39:50Speaker 1: So I kind of put it. I wrote it down
- 39:51Speaker 1: like this.
- 39:52Speaker 2: If we're looking at the maybe a recycled quarterback new
- 39:57Speaker 2: opportunity versus a draftable quarterback. If we just did these
- 40:00Speaker 2: three categories age, well, these guys you're getting recycled. There
- 40:03Speaker 2: are still young guys. They've been they've been pushed through
- 40:06Speaker 2: the system, and they're still twenty five, twenty six years old,
- 40:09Speaker 2: in some cases younger. So the age is not really different.
- 40:12Speaker 2: The talent level, well, they were both viewed talented enough
- 40:15Speaker 2: to be first round picks, so that's somewhat similar. So
- 40:18Speaker 2: then we get to the third column, the risk, Well,
- 40:21Speaker 2: no risk, there's no risk, I mean Baker or why
- 40:24Speaker 2: wouldn't you lean in that direction?
- 40:26Speaker 3: Well, I mean, just to throw the next name out
- 40:29Speaker 3: there is Carson Wentz. Yeah, I mean Kevin O'Connell traded
- 40:32Speaker 3: Sam how Away for a reason. He's like Carson Wentz
- 40:34Speaker 3: is sitting on a couch. I know Sean McVay liked him.
- 40:38Speaker 3: I know Kyle like all these guys places that he's been,
- 40:41Speaker 3: Andy Reid liked them. He went out opening drive, right
- 40:44Speaker 3: down the field, three plays, touchdown. He didn't play great great,
- 40:49Speaker 3: but he played pretty good. I mean the talent level,
- 40:52Speaker 3: the size, you know, the ability just to move, the
- 40:55Speaker 3: arm strength, all of that is still there. And they're
- 40:58Speaker 3: going to get Jordan Adison back this week. You know,
- 41:01Speaker 3: It's it was like they can win games with Carson
- 41:04Speaker 3: right now. Mac Jones played played very well two weeks
- 41:08Speaker 3: in a row, you know, I mean here we are, yes,
- 41:10Speaker 3: I mean, do you want you want to take all
- 41:12Speaker 3: of these retrans for nothing? Basically, they didn't pay Carson
- 41:15Speaker 3: any money and here he is winning games for it.
- 41:18Speaker 4: So, Baldy, you weren't on the show, but I think
- 41:20Speaker 4: last Thursday or Friday we talked about this. We talked
- 41:23Speaker 4: about if I am a quarterback that has to go
- 41:26Speaker 4: in the relate reclamation reclamation, Yeah, yeah, if I got
- 41:30Speaker 4: to go in that cycle, I want to get into
- 41:32Speaker 4: a scheme that is prevalent across the league. Yeah, I
- 41:35Speaker 4: want to be coach with coaches that can pick up
- 41:37Speaker 4: the phone and vouch for me. When you think about
- 41:40Speaker 4: the mac Jones, you think about what Carson Wentz has
- 41:44Speaker 4: been through, you think about Baker, all those guys went
- 41:47Speaker 4: to systems and quarterbacks, Well now it's prevalent it went.
- 41:51Speaker 5: To graduate school. They all went to graduate school.
- 41:53Speaker 4: Yeah, they walk away with their nbas and had they
- 41:56Speaker 4: have an opportunity to really rebuild their career and make
- 41:59Speaker 4: it better. That is the move that I think everyone
- 42:02Speaker 4: should be looking for. I am shaking the trees trying
- 42:05Speaker 4: to find the next young cast off quarterback that I
- 42:08Speaker 4: can rebuild and repair and make into a solid starter.
- 42:11Speaker 2: It's not only getting coached by those guys, Baldy, it's
- 42:14Speaker 2: like you're learning a language. Like Okay, he already speaks
- 42:17Speaker 2: my language. He's been with the guy that runs the
- 42:19Speaker 2: same exact stuff and terminology is very somach what we're doing.
- 42:22Speaker 3: But you know, if you if you look at Okay,
- 42:24Speaker 3: the school that you're going to, let's say the Sewn
- 42:26Speaker 3: McVeigh school, Baker Mayfield, it's you know, traded on a Tuesday.
- 42:29Speaker 3: On Thursday, he's starting and winning a game. You know,
- 42:32Speaker 3: Kevin O'Connell's taking guys from Arizona, putting them in the line.
- 42:36Speaker 3: He's telling them what to do each play, and they're
- 42:38Speaker 3: winning a football game. There's something about these guys that
- 42:41Speaker 3: they know how to program these quarterbacks. You talking about
- 42:44Speaker 3: a language, DJ, it's like you know, you know, it's
- 42:48Speaker 3: it's it's like one of those language things where you
- 42:51Speaker 3: can learn it in thirty days.
- 42:52Speaker 1: You know, Stone languages.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Yeah, the Rosetta stone, the McVay stone, Shanahan stone. Change
- 43:00Speaker 2: the name of this whole thing. All right, let's get
- 43:02Speaker 2: to one more game before we got to catch a
- 43:04Speaker 2: loose baldy and that was the Sunday night game.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Have a weird game, Kansas City and the Giants. What
- 43:09Speaker 1: you got.
- 43:11Speaker 5: Well?
- 43:11Speaker 3: I mean, Russell Wilson was horrible Week one against Washington
- 43:16Speaker 3: and he was awful last week. They have plays to
- 43:19Speaker 3: be made. I mean the last the last four plays
- 43:22Speaker 3: were you you're hitting the crossbar with the ball and
- 43:25Speaker 3: fourth down like that. They can't make melite neighbors isible.
- 43:28Speaker 3: How is melik neighbors invisible?
- 43:30Speaker 2: It's just hold on, hold on, hold on, boy, hold on.
- 43:33Speaker 2: I'll tell you exactly how. And I went through and
- 43:34Speaker 2: looked at his targets. I was like, I don't know
- 43:36Speaker 2: how this is not a factor. So every overthrown deep
- 43:39Speaker 2: balls just hero like you got double covered down the field,
- 43:43Speaker 2: which is going to throw the ball fifty feet in
- 43:45Speaker 2: the air and hope for the best there. They hit
- 43:47Speaker 2: him on a hitch what they were, which they were
- 43:48Speaker 2: laid on, and then they hit them on a slant
- 43:50Speaker 2: which was an easy pickings. But like outside of that,
- 43:52Speaker 2: it was just hand garnads. Just throw it up and
- 43:55Speaker 2: as high as you can. In the double game plan,
- 43:59Speaker 2: there is.
- 43:59Speaker 3: An it's not an offense. And you could call the
- 44:02Speaker 3: designers bad. The quarterback can't see, you know, last week
- 44:07Speaker 3: Dallas gave him vision.
- 44:08Speaker 5: They have no pass rush. He just took his got shots,
- 44:11Speaker 5: his go shots.
- 44:12Speaker 3: Okay through for four p fifty he was as bad
- 44:14Speaker 3: as he was yesterday as he was Week one against Washington.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I know what we've established, Buck is the Cowboys
- 44:20Speaker 2: are terrible on the defensive side of the ball.
- 44:22Speaker 1: That's what we've established. Yeah, just really bad.
- 44:25Speaker 4: And you know the thing about the Giants and not
- 44:28Speaker 4: the belaver but yeah, Malik Neighbors needs to get in.
- 44:31Speaker 4: And then when you do put Jackson Dart in, it's
- 44:33Speaker 4: kind of like the predictable offense and play. He's gonna
- 44:35Speaker 4: come in for one play, run this, then get out.
- 44:37Speaker 4: At some point, man, you need to throw him in
- 44:39Speaker 4: the pool, Like just throw him in the pool. Let's
- 44:42Speaker 4: say you sweat them with Remart. Yeah, running this offense,
- 44:45Speaker 4: Let's try and figure out how to do it. Because
- 44:47Speaker 4: I do believe this. They got something in the running
- 44:49Speaker 4: back in camp scatter of it. There's something that you
- 44:51Speaker 4: can build around. They have enough where they can be
- 44:54Speaker 4: a functional offense that can pick up first downs and
- 44:57Speaker 4: score points.
- 44:58Speaker 1: The trigger man is what was holding him back. They
- 45:01Speaker 1: got to put Jackson Dort in there. Well.
- 45:02Speaker 2: The thing on scataboo real quick baldy that he does
- 45:06Speaker 2: the thing that all Scott used to do. When you
- 45:08Speaker 2: go back and watch him where it comes. Normally, when
- 45:10Speaker 2: you see guys run people over, they accelerate into contact,
- 45:14Speaker 2: their feet are alive and they kind of just run
- 45:16Speaker 2: through them. His feet stop. He just kind of pops
- 45:19Speaker 2: and like it's a little just short, little six inch
- 45:21Speaker 2: he just kind of punches them and then he kind
- 45:23Speaker 2: of skirts away. It's very unique. He looks like a
- 45:25Speaker 2: little shrunk down a little mike. Allstart out there.
- 45:27Speaker 3: Well, that's a good call, and it's true because you
- 45:29Speaker 3: can't get to his legs now from Texas legs.
- 45:32Speaker 5: You can't get his legs.
- 45:32Speaker 3: You're not getting him down on the ground real real
- 45:35Speaker 3: quick before I run here, watching Isaiah Rodgers and Minnesota
- 45:39Speaker 3: play this weekend from the pick six to start the
- 45:41Speaker 3: fumble recovery, like that guy was. You know, that guy
- 45:46Speaker 3: was probably the second best corner in Philly right now,
- 45:49Speaker 3: and Minnesota picked him up. And Brian Flores just knows
- 45:52Speaker 3: how to use these chest pieces. But what are performance
- 45:55Speaker 3: by Isaiah Rodgers yesterday? Vikings and Steelers. They led the
- 45:59Speaker 3: league and take away a year ago with thirty three.
- 46:01Speaker 3: They both had five yesterday and they both need well.
- 46:05Speaker 3: The Vikings blew them out, but the Steelers needed all
- 46:07Speaker 3: five because their offense still is a real challenge.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I won't hit on the rest of those games tomorrow.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Baldi's been great this time, by the way, the chief
- 46:14Speaker 2: side of that thing when they needed it in the
- 46:16Speaker 2: second half. Offensively they came alive a little bit. Defensively
- 46:19Speaker 2: they were excellent.
- 46:20Speaker 1: I don't you know.
- 46:21Speaker 2: I think that was a good, hopeful sign for them.
- 46:23Speaker 2: But I'm not going to read too much into it.
- 46:25Speaker 2: Let's see next week Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs. We're
- 46:28Speaker 2: talking about that next week, looking forward to that one. Guys, Hey, Baldy,
- 46:31Speaker 2: you're the best brother. We appreciate you.
- 46:33Speaker 5: Man.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Have a great week. I see you next Monday. You
- 46:35Speaker 1: better all see it all right, Buck.
- 46:40Speaker 2: That was a fun one getting a chance to catch
- 46:42Speaker 2: up with Baldy and rip through those games again. We
- 46:44Speaker 2: will hit the games we did not touch tomorrow and
- 46:48Speaker 2: roll through those ones. But what a while weekend football
- 46:50Speaker 2: man DJ.
- 46:52Speaker 4: The league continues to let you know that is a
- 46:54Speaker 4: one score league, no matter how bad you think the
- 46:56Speaker 4: team is, no matter how good you think the team is,
- 46:58Speaker 4: is always within a and it's about playing the right
- 47:02Speaker 4: way or whatever. It's just it's just amazing to see
- 47:04Speaker 4: the parody that exists within the league and how you
- 47:06Speaker 4: have to play the right raate each and every week
- 47:08Speaker 4: to chuckle these dupes.
- 47:10Speaker 2: No doubt, fun weekend, fun show today. We'll be back tomorrow.
- 47:14Speaker 2: We'll hit the rest of those games. We'll have our
- 47:15Speaker 2: rookie recap and rookie draft for the next week. Quin
- 47:18Speaker 2: John Jenkins is gonna find his way into getting picked.
- 47:20Speaker 2: I can tell you that much after what he looked like.
- 47:22Speaker 2: It's good week for the leave, good week for a lot.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Of the rookies.
- 47:25Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll revisit that tomorrow. So we appreciate you guys
- 47:28Speaker 2: hanging with us. We'll see you tomorrow. Right here on,
- 47:30Speaker 2: move the sticks.
