  Speaker 1: fully in your anointing. First, Samuel sixteen twelve through thirteen says,

  Speaker 1: and the Lord says, a rise, anoint him for this

  Speaker 1: is he. Then Samuel took the horn of oil and

  Speaker 1: anointed him in the midst of his brothers, and the

  Speaker 1: spirit of the Lord rushed upon David. From that day forward,

  Speaker 1: y'aw God chose a teenage shepherd boy named David to

  Speaker 1: become the next king of Israel. David didn't come from royalty.

  Speaker 1: His family was actually poor. His father didn't have any
• 0:54
  Speaker 1: influence in the nation. David didn't have any training or
• 0:58
  Speaker 1: experience beyond the shepherd's field. His father hadn't even called
• 1:04
  Speaker 1: him into the house as a possible choice from among
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: his eight sons to be anointed as the next king.

  Speaker 1: When Samuel showed up, he called everybody but David. Samuel

  Speaker 1: had to say, on, there's another. Then they went and
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: got David. His father didn't even know who he was
• 1:25
  Speaker 1: or see a king in him. Imagine how David felt
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: when Samuel anointed him and told him that he was
• 1:33
  Speaker 1: going to be chosen by God or he was the
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: chosen one, y'all, it didn't make sense. He knew that
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: if he showed up at the palace, they would have said,
• 1:45
  Speaker 1: who's this stranger? He has no qualifications. Maybe you feel
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: like David today. You know God's calling is on your length,

  Speaker 1: but you're a stranger. Maybe your mother, maybe your father,

  Speaker 1: doesn't even so what God has in store for you?

  Speaker 1: Will you do like David did and accept and believe
• 2:07
  Speaker 1: that you are chosen by God. Let me encourage you.

  Speaker 1: Don't go through life handpicked by the creator what sees

  Speaker 1: of greatness, redeemed and forgiven, but you never step up

  Speaker 1: to who you were created to be out of fear, doubt,

  Speaker 1: or even worry about what somebody else said or what

  Speaker 1: you think. Let today be the day that you say,

  Speaker 1: in the anointing that God has called me to as

  Speaker 1: that people don't determine our calling or our destiny, but

  Speaker 1: you do. Thank you that you see our potential, you

  Speaker 1: see our faithfulness, you see our integrity. God, we believe

  Speaker 1: that you have things in our future that are beyond

  Speaker 1: what we've ever asked or imagined. In Jesus' name, that's

  Speaker 1: your word for today. I want you to take it

  Speaker 1: apply to your everyday life and you continue to live
