Day 231. Jeremiah 26-29
Jeremiah faces threats to his life after warning that Jerusalem and the temple will be destroyed if the people refuse to repent. False prophets contradict God’s message, but Jeremiah continues to speak what he has been commanded. After the exile begins, he writes to the captives in Babylon, telling them to settle, build lives, and seek the welfare of the city while they wait for God’s appointed time of restoration. He reminds them that God’s plans ultimately include their return and future hope.
