- 0:09Speaker 1: Ye sure, it's no. Welcome to the Naughty but Nice Shower.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm the host, Rob Shooter. It's Friday. I'm in London.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Some over the pond. I'm in London. So if the
- 0:23Speaker 1: mic is not quite as crisp as it normally is,
- 0:27Speaker 1: please forgive us. But the only option was to do
- 0:30Speaker 1: it like this or not do a show. And I
- 0:32Speaker 1: hate missing shows. I love talking to you, naughty ease
- 0:35Speaker 1: Monday to Friday. So here we are. We've got a
- 0:38Speaker 1: fabulous show from London. Tally, How what time is it,
- 0:43Speaker 1: my friends? It is tea time? Okay. Big story at
- 0:47Speaker 1: the top of the show, where is Beyonce the Queen?
- 0:52Speaker 1: The Queen seems to be missing and people are asking
- 0:56Speaker 1: where is she and why? Let me explain. So the
- 1:00Speaker 1: industry is a bus with whispers and wonders about where
- 1:05Speaker 1: is Beyonce. Sources revealed to Page six that the superstar
- 1:11Speaker 1: seems to have vanished from the limelight just when her
- 1:15Speaker 1: country album Cowboy Carter needed her the most. So the
- 1:22Speaker 1: once blaze in success of Cowboy Carter is now fizzling
- 1:27Speaker 1: a little bit like a forgotten rodeo, and insiders are
- 1:32Speaker 1: perplexed questioning where is Beyonce, She's nowhere to be found.
- 1:37Speaker 1: When you put out an album, it always sells well
- 1:39Speaker 1: at first, or hopefully it does if you have a
- 1:41Speaker 1: huge fan base. Beyonce certainly has that, and so when
- 1:46Speaker 1: she put out the album, it did terrific. All her
- 1:48Speaker 1: fans rushed to get it, everybody that loves Beyonce to
- 1:51Speaker 1: get it. This happens to superstars to big albums all
- 1:55Speaker 1: the time. Then you have to follow up and do
- 1:57Speaker 1: more work and sell the album. And that's a pop star.
- 2:00Speaker 1: A big megastar normally goes on television, does morning show appearances,
- 2:04Speaker 1: does the Tonight Show appearances, does covers of people magazine,
- 2:08Speaker 1: does interviews. Whenever I interview a celebrity is because they
- 2:12Speaker 1: are selling a product, either an album or a movie
- 2:17Speaker 1: or a fragrance. That's why they're doing publicity. If you're
- 2:20Speaker 1: not a reality star. Most celebrities only do press when
- 2:24Speaker 1: they've got a project, something they're trying to sell you.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Otherwise they don't do press well. Beyonce has a product here,
- 2:32Speaker 1: something she wants us to buy, and yet she's doing
- 2:36Speaker 1: zero press. Now people are starting to wonder why is this?
- 2:40Speaker 1: And I think people are wondering maybe just a little
- 2:43Speaker 1: bit too much because they've come to the conclusion that
- 2:45Speaker 1: this might have something to do with Diddy. Her old
- 2:49Speaker 1: pell Diddy, sources are telling Page six quote, Beyonce and
- 2:55Speaker 1: Jay want to lay low because of the explosive scandal
- 2:59Speaker 1: surrounding their pal p Diddy, so they're trying to keep
- 3:03Speaker 1: her low profile to avoid being dragged into the Diddy mess.
- 3:08Speaker 1: The pair that has been close friends with Diddy for
- 3:12Speaker 1: many years, if not decades, don't want the heat on them,
- 3:16Speaker 1: so they know the heats on Diddy if they do
- 3:18Speaker 1: any press, If she does any press, she's frightened that
- 3:21Speaker 1: she's going to be asked about Diddy, one source told
- 3:24Speaker 1: Page six quote. This was supposed to be Beyonce's big moment,
- 3:29Speaker 1: with her much anticipated country album dropping just two months ago,
- 3:35Speaker 1: but she's a no show. They added that the album
- 3:38Speaker 1: has slipped off the charts and both Jay and Beyonce
- 3:43Speaker 1: are missing in action. Just the month after the album
- 3:49Speaker 1: hit shelves, Jay Z made a scene that the Grammars,
- 3:53Speaker 1: complaining that Beyonce had never won Album of the Year,
- 3:57Speaker 1: so she has more Grammars than anybody else, but she's
- 3:59Speaker 1: never won the big album of the year. Now. Everybody
- 4:02Speaker 1: at the time was like, oh, cowboy Carter is going
- 4:05Speaker 1: to change that, but it won't if they're not out
- 4:09Speaker 1: there promoting it, making appearances and charming all the votus.
- 4:15Speaker 1: So while the album featuring a star studied bunch of
- 4:19Speaker 1: people including Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus, it's not a flop.
- 4:23Speaker 1: It's a hit, but it's not the blockbuster that everybody
- 4:27Speaker 1: anticipated it to be. A few things here. The music
- 4:30Speaker 1: business has changed so much nobody, not even Taylor Swift,
- 4:35Speaker 1: will have a thriller Michael Jackson's size album. Again, it
- 4:38Speaker 1: is just changed. People don't buy music anymore through albums,
- 4:43Speaker 1: They download it, they buy it online. So it's really
- 4:46Speaker 1: really difficult to apply the old rules to the new ways,
- 4:50Speaker 1: and so that is probably unlikely. This album is a
- 4:55Speaker 1: huge hit, but it's never gonna be as big as
- 4:58Speaker 1: some of the albums in the set. Is the eighties,
- 5:01Speaker 1: the nineties just impossible. It's just the business has changed
- 5:04Speaker 1: so much. But there is a good point here. Where
- 5:07Speaker 1: is Beyonce Now? The reason I don't think this has
- 5:10Speaker 1: anything to do with Diddy is twofold. The first is
- 5:13Speaker 1: she is so powerful. Every interview she does, she can
- 5:17Speaker 1: insist no questions about Diddy, and most of the reporters
- 5:22Speaker 1: or all the reporters that get to talk to Beyonce
- 5:24Speaker 1: that are allowed to do an interview with her, will
- 5:27Speaker 1: abide by that rule. So she doesn't want to talk
- 5:29Speaker 1: about Diddy, her pr people will just say that right
- 5:32Speaker 1: up front. When I was working with j Loo and
- 5:34Speaker 1: even Diddy and Jessica Simpson Alicia Keys certain things, they
- 5:37Speaker 1: didn't want to talk about it, and we just said
- 5:39Speaker 1: it up front, like they don't want to talk about this,
- 5:41Speaker 1: and if that's a problem, we won't do the interview,
- 5:43Speaker 1: and they almost said yes. So that's one thing here.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I don't think it's about Diddy. And the other reason
- 5:49Speaker 1: I believe I know it's not about Diddy is Beyonce
- 5:52Speaker 1: doesn't do press anymore. Her last two three projects she
- 5:56Speaker 1: didn't do press. In fact, the last time she was
- 5:59Speaker 1: on the cover of Vogue magazine. Whenever you do the
- 6:02Speaker 1: cover of Vogue, you also do a big interview inside.
- 6:05Speaker 1: She refused, she wouldn't do it, should only do the furniture.
- 6:08Speaker 1: She does not like doing interviews. So this is just
- 6:10Speaker 1: Beyonce being one of the most powerful stars in the world,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and I think reading anything more into it is probably
- 6:16Speaker 1: not accurate. But I want to know what you think
- 6:18Speaker 1: about this, which brings us to our pole question of
- 6:21Speaker 1: the day. Where's Beyonce? She's missing the Quinn of music
- 6:25Speaker 1: is missing in action? Do you think it's related to
- 6:29Speaker 1: the Diddy drama? What do you think? I've told you
- 6:32Speaker 1: what I think, But what do you think about this?
- 6:34Speaker 1: Is this related to all the drama with her friend Diddy?
- 6:38Speaker 1: Hego vote on that Twitter page at Naughty Nice Rob,
- 6:42Speaker 1: or you can get her Facebook page which is Naughty
- 6:45Speaker 1: Jossip and be sure to check back on Monday to
- 6:50Speaker 1: hear your results. Hey, moving along. Kathie Lee Giffert too.
- 6:54Speaker 1: You know I have a soft spot for She had
- 6:56Speaker 1: me on the Today Show so many times, ils on
- 6:58Speaker 1: not every week to gossip with her, and we became friends.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Now she's revealing that she had a really cruel rejection
- 7:06Speaker 1: early on in her career when she was told she
- 7:09Speaker 1: was just not pretty enough to be in Charlie's Angels. Ouch. So,
- 7:14Speaker 1: Kathy Lee Gifford recently opened up about a painful reflection
- 7:19Speaker 1: from thirty years ago that still stings. It does, doesn't it?
- 7:24Speaker 1: Things we have passed still sting? So, in a really
- 7:28Speaker 1: candid interview with People magazine, Kathie Lee Gifford, who's now seventy,
- 7:32Speaker 1: recalled a cruel casting director who told her she wasn't
- 7:37Speaker 1: pretty enough to be in the iconic TV show Charlie's Angels.
- 7:43Speaker 1: She explained that she was bedridden with the flu. She
- 7:48Speaker 1: had a horrible cold, but her agent called and said
- 7:51Speaker 1: there's an opening on the hit ABC series, and she
- 7:55Speaker 1: rushed to the studio. So, I think the show was
- 7:58Speaker 1: already on, was on ABC. If it was an ABC series,
- 8:02Speaker 1: the show was on one of the angels must be leaving,
- 8:05Speaker 1: must have left, and they were looking for a replacement,
- 8:07Speaker 1: and Kathy Lee give had got a call saying do
- 8:09Speaker 1: you want to go and have an audition, and she
- 8:11Speaker 1: said yes, yes, yes, So she arrived at the studio
- 8:14Speaker 1: only to be met with harsh words from the casting director.
- 8:18Speaker 1: She was full of hope and determination and she was
- 8:21Speaker 1: immediately shot down because they were told you're not pretty enough. Ouch.
- 8:28Speaker 1: After decades, Kathy Lee even remembers the name of the
- 8:34Speaker 1: casting director that delivered the crushing, crushing blow. Now she's
- 8:40Speaker 1: gone on to have huge success, obviously, but still this
- 8:44Speaker 1: is something that stings it's really cruel, but it's also
- 8:48Speaker 1: part of the cruel business of entertainment, and so she
- 8:52Speaker 1: does talk about how she sees this. It's not a
- 8:55Speaker 1: good thing. She's not happy about it. But the entertainment
- 8:58Speaker 1: business is really, really harsh. I think today it would
- 9:02Speaker 1: be said a little softer, but it would still be
- 9:05Speaker 1: the same thing. Ninety nine percent of jobs the cast
- 9:09Speaker 1: on looks now, you have to be talented too. I'm
- 9:11Speaker 1: not saying that you're not talented. These beautiful people are
- 9:15Speaker 1: very very good or very talented, but they're also gorgeous,
- 9:18Speaker 1: and when you look in the mirror, I know it.
- 9:21Speaker 1: When I audition for jobs, I'm aware of who I am.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I'm aware of what I look like. They're certain jobs
- 9:26Speaker 1: I'm not gonna get. They just want somebody who's twenty
- 9:29Speaker 1: in Australian and has six bag apps, and I totally
- 9:32Speaker 1: get it. The soap operas. I was on a soap
- 9:36Speaker 1: opera playing myself Days of Our Lives, and when I
- 9:40Speaker 1: looked around, I did not look like all the other people,
- 9:43Speaker 1: and that's DNA. There's nothing I can do about that.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I'm talented and fun, but I don't look like that.
- 9:50Speaker 1: So I think you accept it. I'm not saying it's
- 9:53Speaker 1: the right thing, but what else are you gonna do? Okay,
- 9:57Speaker 1: talking about looks, Jennifer Aniston, one of the most beautiful
- 10:01Speaker 1: people in the world of timeless beauty, is revealing that
- 10:04Speaker 1: she's turning thirty. She's joking about it, so really, who
- 10:09Speaker 1: what is turning thirty? Is her show? Friends? Can you
- 10:14Speaker 1: believe it? The show is turning thirty? And she said,
- 10:19Speaker 1: I'm turning thirty two, just laughing about that. She was
- 10:22Speaker 1: doing an interview with a variety and she talks about
- 10:26Speaker 1: this iconic show and feeling nostalgic for this sitcom. She said,
- 10:30Speaker 1: it's so strange to even think that it was thirty
- 10:34Speaker 1: years ago. She was complimented and people said she was
- 10:38Speaker 1: a great actress on this. She was very young at
- 10:40Speaker 1: the time, she was a baby, some people said. But
- 10:43Speaker 1: she had certainly talent, and that's part of the reasons
- 10:46Speaker 1: we are still talking about her today, which she said
- 10:48Speaker 1: she is amazed by. It is enduring popularity. She loves it,
- 10:54Speaker 1: and she loves the generations of fans and new generations,
- 10:57Speaker 1: and she's grateful for this. She is still quite amazed
- 11:02Speaker 1: that she was lucky enough talented enough to end up
- 11:05Speaker 1: on a show this big, And in the beginning they
- 11:08Speaker 1: did not know this. The Friends thought they were going
- 11:11Speaker 1: to be on a show that fingers crossed found its audience.
- 11:15Speaker 1: They didn't know it would become a cultural moment, a
- 11:21Speaker 1: show that was passed on from generation to dreeneration and
- 11:26Speaker 1: thirty years later, thirty years later, we're still watching Friends.
- 11:32Speaker 1: This is fascinating. So Kim Kardashian's birthday bash has revealed
- 11:36Speaker 1: a lot about her inner circle. So Kim turned forty three,
- 11:40Speaker 1: she had a Hollywood party, of course, and it was
- 11:43Speaker 1: star studied, and I had footage of the party, which
- 11:47Speaker 1: was broadcast on her show shows us some surprising names
- 11:51Speaker 1: who are now very close to Kim. One is Avonka Trump,
- 11:55Speaker 1: who sat right next to Kim, and Laurence Sanchez, who's
- 11:59Speaker 1: dating the fiance of Jeff Bezos, the richest man in
- 12:03Speaker 1: the world. So during an episode of The Kardashians, fans
- 12:07Speaker 1: got to see an inside look into the intimate gathering.
- 12:10Speaker 1: We know it happened, It happened a few months ago.
- 12:12Speaker 1: We knew the birthday. We saw people come and go,
- 12:14Speaker 1: but we didn't know where they sat. Now, Avanka Trump,
- 12:17Speaker 1: daughter of the former president Donald Trump was seated right
- 12:21Speaker 1: next to Kim Kardashian, also to Lawrence Anchez, the fiance
- 12:26Speaker 1: of the billionaire one of the richest people, if not
- 12:29Speaker 1: the richest person in the world, I think Jeff Bezos.
- 12:32Speaker 1: She was also a guest two spots away from the Trumps.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Fascinating to see who sits where, who in a circle
- 12:41Speaker 1: is I thought her best friend was Jonathan Cheppin. I
- 12:43Speaker 1: didn't see him in the footage. It looked like it
- 12:46Speaker 1: was an all girls of affair. It looked absolutely so
- 12:50Speaker 1: much fun. I'm so jealous we weren't invited. Oh my goodness,
- 12:53Speaker 1: but I'm so happy we get to see it. What
- 12:56Speaker 1: do you think about these friendships? It really tells you
- 12:58Speaker 1: a lot, doesn't it. Who your friends are with them,
- 13:01Speaker 1: most importantly, who gets to sit next to you. I'm
- 13:03Speaker 1: so aware of that. Whenever I go out for drinks
- 13:06Speaker 1: or a dinner and there's more than two of us,
- 13:08Speaker 1: I always like to see who sits by who, and
- 13:11Speaker 1: that tells you who the alliances are, who the friends are.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I always want to sit by Miss Deve. Whenever I
- 13:17Speaker 1: see Miss Deve, I just enjoy it. She makes me smile.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I love sitting by Miss Deteve. When you walk into
- 13:23Speaker 1: a big party, if there's five, six of you all
- 13:26Speaker 1: going for dinner, see if it's not a sign seating,
- 13:29Speaker 1: if you don't have a sign telling you where you're
- 13:32Speaker 1: going to, see if it's free for all, See where
- 13:35Speaker 1: everybody ends up. And it is just fascinating. Kim and
- 13:40Speaker 1: Avonka Trump really really close, okay, quickly before we get
- 13:44Speaker 1: to break. Oh, this story it just whenever ends. So
- 13:47Speaker 1: Harry has finally won the right, Prince Harry, that is
- 13:51Speaker 1: I say, Harry, so casually. Prince Harry has finally won
- 13:54Speaker 1: the right to appeal police protections decision when he is
- 14:00Speaker 1: in the UK. So if you remember, Harry was told
- 14:04Speaker 1: that he would no longer have police protection. He was
- 14:06Speaker 1: very angry about this and appealed it. It was thrown out.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Now he's being granted permission to appeal the UK's government
- 14:15Speaker 1: decision to strip him of police protection. During his visits
- 14:19Speaker 1: to Britain, his lawyer announced this development really marking a
- 14:24Speaker 1: significant turn in the ongoing legal saga. Let me explain. Harry,
- 14:31Speaker 1: who's the youngest son of King Charles, initiated legal action
- 14:35Speaker 1: after the Home Office ruled in February twenty twenty. That's right,
- 14:41Speaker 1: four years ago. This has been going on, that he
- 14:44Speaker 1: would no longer automatically receive personal police protection in the UK.
- 14:50Speaker 1: This decision came as a shock to lots and lots
- 14:53Speaker 1: of people and potentially as a problem, and so Harry
- 14:58Speaker 1: appealed it. It was rejected. He's actually appealed it twice
- 15:02Speaker 1: and it's been rejected twice now. But he went on.
- 15:06Speaker 1: God bless him. Persistence, persistence. He went on and on
- 15:10Speaker 1: and on, and now finally he can peel it again.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Now let's be clear here, Harry gets protection when he
- 15:16Speaker 1: comes to Britain. Obviously, the police do not want anything
- 15:19Speaker 1: bad to happen to a prince, to Prince Harry, even
- 15:23Speaker 1: though he's no longer a working member of the royal family,
- 15:26Speaker 1: so he does get protection. However, if he wants an
- 15:29Speaker 1: extra layer like Madonna gets when she comes as a president,
- 15:33Speaker 1: when he comes, they have to deal with that themselves.
- 15:36Speaker 1: So Harry hire a private security. When big stars come
- 15:38Speaker 1: to London, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, they hire private security
- 15:43Speaker 1: and obviously if there's a problem, the police will get involved. However, however,
- 15:48Speaker 1: it's not automatic now because he's no longer a working royal. Harry, Harry, Harry.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I think at some point you gotta open up your
- 15:58Speaker 1: art and pay for this one yourself. Okay, we're going
- 16:01Speaker 1: to take a quick break and we will be right back.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Naughty but Nisher and Rob Shooter. Hey,
- 16:09Speaker 1: I'm from London today. I'm back over the pond. I
- 16:12Speaker 1: shall be back on Tuesday. Don't worry. We're going to
- 16:15Speaker 1: try and do a show on Monday from London. Fingers cross.
- 16:18Speaker 1: It's not that we don't want to do it. We'll
- 16:20Speaker 1: definitely do it as long as the technology works. So
- 16:23Speaker 1: fingers cross. So far, so good. Hey, let's get to
- 16:26Speaker 1: the polls DA DA. Last year we talked about Demi
- 16:30Speaker 1: Moore's new fling with Joe Jonas, and we ask you
- 16:35Speaker 1: what do you think about this new couple. Do you
- 16:37Speaker 1: love this new couple? Let's have a look. Seventy percent
- 16:41Speaker 1: said yes, you like it. I don't think it's going
- 16:44Speaker 1: to go the distance. I spoke to my sources. It
- 16:46Speaker 1: was a fling. They were both at the camm Film
- 16:49Speaker 1: Festival together. There's clearly an attraction there. They changed emails,
- 16:52Speaker 1: phone numbers so they've got each other's contacts, so I
- 16:54Speaker 1: hope this's stay in touch. However, he's really busy working.
- 16:58Speaker 1: He's going through a really ugly divorce. She's busy doing
- 17:02Speaker 1: her stuff. They're on different coasts, so maybe if they
- 17:06Speaker 1: really want to make time for this to work, maybe,
- 17:09Speaker 1: but I would not hold my breath. Okay, don't forget
- 17:13Speaker 1: to vote on today's poll. Go to add Twitter page
- 17:16Speaker 1: at Naughty Nights Rob or a Facebook page which is
- 17:19Speaker 1: Naughty Gossip, and be sure to check back on Monday
- 17:24Speaker 1: to hear your results. And now it's time for the
- 17:29Speaker 1: Nicest of the day. Varna White had a really tearful
- 17:36Speaker 1: tribute to Pat Sajek, who is leaving Weel of Fortune,
- 17:41Speaker 1: calling him a brother. It was really really touching. She
- 17:44Speaker 1: said the following credit, I can't believe that tomorrow is
- 17:48Speaker 1: our last show together. They have been together for the
- 17:52Speaker 1: past forty one years, doing eight thousand episodes. Not really emotional,
- 18:01Speaker 1: admitting that when she started she was so green, she
- 18:03Speaker 1: knew nothing about TV doing the show, and Pat made
- 18:06Speaker 1: her feel so comfortable and so confident. She said, you
- 18:10Speaker 1: made me who I am. You you really did. They
- 18:13Speaker 1: said they grew up together on television, and they not
- 18:16Speaker 1: only shared a lot of fun on TV, they celebrated
- 18:19Speaker 1: major milestones together, including their children, their lives, memories. This
- 18:26Speaker 1: is really deeply, deeply touching, deeply deeply emotional. Ryan Seacrest
- 18:31Speaker 1: is taken over from Pat Varna's going to stay on
- 18:34Speaker 1: a little bit. I hope she stays on and passes
- 18:37Speaker 1: the bat on to whoever comes next. But this is
- 18:40Speaker 1: so emotional. Have you had a friend like that, somebody
- 18:42Speaker 1: that you've worked with for decades that has become a brother,
- 18:45Speaker 1: a sister, part of the family. I certainly know it's
- 18:49Speaker 1: happened to me, and I've introduced you to several of them,
- 18:51Speaker 1: including our dear friend Misty and Nicest of the Day
- 18:55Speaker 1: and now Naughty is the Day? Not in naughty mm
- 19:01Speaker 1: Jax Taylor, you know him, a reality show, a Bravo
- 19:04Speaker 1: star who really became famous on the Van der Pompoulus show.
- 19:08Speaker 1: What He's opened up a restaurant, a bar, of course
- 19:11Speaker 1: he has, but it's getting terrible reviews. So patrons are
- 19:15Speaker 1: going to yelp and saying the food is barely edible.
- 19:18Speaker 1: They waited two hours and didn't get the right order.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Somebody said, I hate to leave a bad review, but honestly,
- 19:23Speaker 1: this place is not good. Another person said, do yourself
- 19:26Speaker 1: a favor and stay away. This is a cautionary tale.
- 19:33Speaker 1: People become famous on television on reality shows and then
- 19:36Speaker 1: they think they can open up a restaurant. It takes
- 19:39Speaker 1: a lot, a lot of talent, work, effort, expertise, experience
