- 0:00On today's episode of After Hours podcast, we have Kenny
- 0:03Bascon from Central. Now, Central is interesting
- 0:08because I want to call it a lifestyle brand, but it's a lot
- 0:11more than that. It's a media outlet for
- 0:13Automotive News events and different kind of things like
- 0:17that. And on this episode we get to
- 0:20kind of see the whole, I guess, the whole origin of where
- 0:24Central started. Because.
- 0:27If you if you live where we live which is basically Northern New
- 0:30Jersey, New York City area, you would be very familiar with the
- 0:34brand Central and I've always wondered what it was too.
- 0:38So this was a good opportunity to hear it from Kenny himself
- 0:42and he basically gave us the whole history of the brand slash
- 0:47blog and breaks it all down for us.
- 0:50So instead of me trying to describe what it is, I'd rather
- 0:53you guys just listen to him and. Hear from the horse's mouth.
- 0:58Enjoy. This podcast is sponsored by
- 1:03East Coast Drift School. East Coast Drift School, which
- 1:05is located in Englishtown, NJ, is a driving school that offers
- 1:09a more private and intimate environment for learning how to
- 1:11drift. Whether you're someone who has
- 1:13countless drift events under your belt or someone who has yet
- 1:16to kick a clutch, East Coast Drift School is a great place to
- 1:19pick up some seat time and improve your drifting abilities.
- 1:23Be sure to follow East Coast Drift School on Instagram and
- 1:25look out for the schedule which is released on the 16th of every
- 1:28month. Also, feel free to message them

- 1:36This podcast is also sponsored by Automotive Specialty Wraps.
- 1:40Automotive Specialty Wraps is a company specializing in paint
- 1:42protection, film, vehicle wraps, ceramic coatings and window
- 1:46tinting. Located in Fairlawn, New Jersey,
- 1:48owned and operated by car enthusiasts and Drifters.
- 1:51Their technicians have over 10 years of experience in the
- 1:53industry. The ceramic coating is what
- 1:56really caught my attention when they reached out to us.
- 1:58This coating basically gives your cars paint extra UV
- 2:01protection while also making it shine.
- 2:04Wax only lasts for a couple weeks at most, but ceramic
- 2:06coating lasts for a year or longer.
- 2:09They perform a full two stage Polish to the car beforehand to
- 2:12make sure the vehicle is in perfect condition before
- 2:14applying the coating. As mentioned, they also offer
- 2:17window tinting and paint protection film installations.
- 2:21Now everyone knows what window tinting is, but these guys offer
- 2:24carbon or ceramic tinting depending on your goals with the
- 2:27vehicle. Paint protection film or PPF is
- 2:30a great idea for those new vehicle owners that don't want
- 2:33to get stuck behind an 18 Wheeler on the way home one
- 2:35night and then get out and realize your front end is
- 2:38littered with rock chips. I'm looking at you Subaru
- 2:40owners. Paint sucks so make sure you
- 2:42protect it fast before you regret it and need a new paint
- 2:45job. Also keep in mind they are
- 2:47capable of getting liveries designed and installed as well
- 2:50as full vehicle wraps. From protecting your toe rigs
- 2:54exterior to full livery installations on your drift car,
- 2:57they have you covered. You can contact them at
- 3:00automotive specialtywraps.com and make sure to give them a
- 3:03follow on Instagram at Automotive Specialty Wraps.
- 3:16You. Have Kenny's hood as hell, you
- 3:17just said. Oh, you're lucky the mics
- 3:19weren't on yet, Kenny said something it.
- 3:25Was off right. Yeah, it was off.
- 3:27It was off. It was.
- 3:29Off. Welcome everybody to the Faction
- 3:31After Hours Podcast. We're here to bring you another
- 3:34episode and and another guest. Yo, yeah, turn me down.
- 3:38We have Kenny, Bascon or Baskin. Baskin.
- 3:41However you pronounce it, aka the racing realtor.
- 3:44And and a good friend of mine. Hey.
- 3:47Yeah. Hey.
- 3:47What's up? What's good, bro?
- 3:48Malcolm? Malcolm.
- 3:50Get the audience going. There we go.
- 3:52There we go, there we go, there we go.
- 3:55No, it's great to have you on. I feel like we've been friends
- 3:59for a long time, but I feel like it's always like quick
- 4:00conversations, like when we're like out somewhere, hanging out.
- 4:04Doing car stuff. Yeah, doing car stuff.
- 4:05So it's gonna be pretty cool to get to know you, cuz I feel like
- 4:07we're gonna have you and Frankie ever met before.
- 4:11A few times. We probably did meet a few
- 4:12times. But he was probably doing
- 4:13reckless. I was like here, throw a gnat
- 4:15right in the beginning of. This talk right here, just right
- 4:17behind. Me it just.
- 4:19Dude, Okay. Yeah, we met.
- 4:21Officially. I think we met it.
- 4:23Is it weak fest or weak fest? It's a wacky fest.
- 4:26I think it's Wack Fest. Wack fest, right?
- 4:29Don't look at. Me like, I know, Chris, what do
- 4:31you say? Weak fest, right, Chris?
- 4:33I call it we, I call it, I call it weak dress because of Crist.
- 4:36I call it weak fest, but I think.
- 4:38I think it's I think it is weak fest.
- 4:40Cuz there's there's two little. Oh, little things above the I
- 4:43don't know. Somebody gave us a phonetic
- 4:45spelling of it. Anyway, that's where we met.
- 4:47Officially. But I dude, yeah, I've probably
- 4:49known you for like 10 years and we just didn't really meet,
- 4:53right? Yeah.
- 4:54It's been a while cuz I've been going to central things like I
- 4:57remember we drifted once with. Emotion.
- 5:03Yes. Yes, Yep, that was they.
- 5:06I have a story for that. It's kind of cool because, you
- 5:08know, this past weekend, Import Expo did their show in the Java
- 5:13Center on Sunday yesterday. We know what's today.
- 5:15Oh, really? This Wednesday?
- 5:17Wait for real. Yes, and they did a show over
- 5:19there and in motion was. Even know that.
- 5:23Theoretically, and and and someone could correct me, but
- 5:25I'm pretty sure that we were the first car show slash like
- 5:31motorsport. Like combo event and then
- 5:35afterwards a lot of people started doing it.
- 5:37But that was like the whole idea.
- 5:38The whole idea was to bring the car show and quality cars to the
- 5:44track. So we did.
- 5:45Motor sports. Stuff.
- 5:47At the time. So it was called Emotion and
- 5:48that was like the first Test and Brett from Import Expo was
- 5:52actually our partner on that okay at the time.
- 5:54Was that the first one that I went?
- 5:57To. It was 2000, yeah, for drifting.
- 5:59I think it was like, was that 2014?
- 6:01Probably, yeah, that sounds. Right.
- 6:02Wait, so in it wasn't always called central.
- 6:04Are you saying in motion was what it was before or this is a
- 6:06completely separate thing? So central is the, the brand and
- 6:11the whole the idea, but in motion was the event.
- 6:15OK, so it was called in motion because it was the.
- 6:17Yeah, that's a nice name. Yeah, it was dope, man.
- 6:20It was good, Let's see. But the event was was really
- 6:22bumpy, so. Can you?
- 6:23Yeah, we got the drift. What Central is?
- 6:26Like because to our listeners you don't really know.
- 6:29We have, we actually have listeners from all over the
- 6:31world. This guy who lives in the UK,
- 6:33I'm going to butcher his name, but just know that this is for
- 6:36you, homie. He.
- 6:38Every time I post a picture of my car he just responds to the
- 6:43two words blue waffle and the first one was said blue, said
- 6:48blue waffle from the UK and I was like.
- 6:50What the fuck? That is sick.
- 6:52So. We named.
- 6:54Yeah, we have listeners everywhere, so like.
- 6:55We named this car the Blue Waffle.
- 6:57Yeah. Nope.
- 6:57Nope. Nope.
- 6:58He doesn't like it. We're getting it for some
- 7:01reason. People know this, so.
- 7:02Cuz everybody knows what that is.
- 7:04If you grew. Up with the Internet.
- 7:05It's just funny. Actually, maybe some people
- 7:07don't know what it is and you shouldn't know what it is.
- 7:09What a blue waffle. Yeah.
- 7:10I don't know what that is. Yeah, it's.
- 7:11All right, Kenny, don't look it. Up No, no.
- 7:13Oh, so the name is not dope? No, no.
- 7:15Yeah, the name is not dope. It's not sick because they.
- 7:18They all made, like, funny names, like they he named my car
- 7:20the Silver Sea. No, no, Chris did.
- 7:22So one of these assholes named it that AJ.
- 7:26Well, Aj's. Yeah, AJ would make sense
- 7:28because he his cars. They named it the copper.
- 7:30Copper nickel was is the other S13.
- 7:33So anyway I was like then the red trout was first I think.
- 7:35Yeah. So anyway, I was like, Carl,
- 7:37you're the blue waffle. And I said on the podcast once,
- 7:39and that was it. Now.
- 7:40Ridiculous. So now I'm gonna have to Google
- 7:42later. No.
- 7:45Everyone listens, right Google? Not with a client, not with a
- 7:47client, but but if you had to explain to somebody who's never
- 7:50really heard about the East Coast car scene, what would you
- 7:52explain Central to be? So Central actually started and
- 7:57I'm gonna sound real low right now.
- 7:59That's fine. I know.
- 8:00I know you. You might not look it, but I
- 8:02know you're a lot older than me, so I'm curious what you
- 8:05actually. I don't feel old.
- 8:07But, but if you ask my daughter, she she'll say I'm very old, so
- 8:10I guess. Like Frankie's age.
- 8:13No. Oh damn, Frankie.
- 8:16How old are you? I'm 46.
- 8:18Yeah, motherfucker, I'm 32, all right.
- 8:20But he looked great. Dude, this guy's a Dick.
- 8:23He looks amazing. Though do your friends make fun
- 8:25of you too at your age? Because my friends do and I'm
- 8:2732. They make fun of me all day.
- 8:29Oh my God. Look, man, they're not moving
- 8:31around like you do, OK? I Kenny if it.
- 8:33Kenny lifts and shit. Yeah. 46 I think I'm going to be
- 8:37lifting a Taco into my mouth, Listen, which I might do later.
- 8:40I I know some people that are in their 70s, that you see them and
- 8:43you'll think that they're 40. Really.
- 8:46And and they lift and they've been lifting for years,
- 8:48consistently. And that's like my motivation.
- 8:51You know, I want to be that guy that's like 7080 years old.
- 8:53And you see him, he's like, how old is he 45?
- 8:55Yeah, you feel young still, so that's the key.
- 8:57So moving. One of these days.
- 9:00But I'll get back. In the gym, yeah.
- 9:02But yeah, no central. Damn.
- 9:04That was a quick tangent. Yeah, yeah, we're good.
- 9:06We're good at this. We could get back to that.
- 9:08If you ever want to talk. I mean, I love.
- 9:09Lifting we will be back. We will be back to that cuz
- 9:11Frankie. We're trying to get Frankie,
- 9:12Frankie. Wants to lift.
- 9:14No, no, cuz Frankie. Go after this I just want to.
- 9:17Dude. He wants to go at the gym after
- 9:19this. I'm not gonna.
- 9:20Go to the No, I'm taking C4 right now.
- 9:23Hey, we could go to the gym after this, no?
- 9:26Okay. Central.
- 9:28Central But I saw you lifting before.
- 9:30I do live occasionally, Yeah. I like it.
- 9:33I like it when I need it. Okay.
- 9:36Otherwise, I'm just like, God damn it, what am I doing in
- 9:38there? Yeah, Carl, I thought you were
- 9:40staying hard, man. I thought you were staying hard,
- 9:42not tiny. It still picks stuff up.
- 9:45You look strong, bro. But yeah, I mean, it does take a
- 9:48certain amount of discipline and I feel like that stems from
- 9:51years and years of what you've been doing.
- 9:53So going back to Central. Like was this like something
- 9:58that you just decided to start with like friends and stuff?
- 10:00Or so it's gonna sound funny over here.
- 10:03But this was in 2004, 2000. Four Okay.
- 10:06I wasn't born yet. Yeah, so the idea.
- 10:08That's why I figured it sound funny.
- 10:10So I was kidding. Yeah, I was born.
- 10:12Well, there were some people that weren't like that,
- 10:14probably. Yeah, no, there are.
- 10:15And that's why. That's why I like these.
- 10:17How old were you girls? I was 9.
- 10:19That's. Not too bad.
- 10:20Yeah, I already knew what. Which I knew what a 98 GSR.
- 10:23Was hey. Yeah, he was talking about in,
- 10:25like fifth grade, in kindergarten.
- 10:26Kindergarten. Yeah, I forgot.
- 10:28So back in the day, even before 2004, I used to be, you know, I
- 10:34said street race a lot. You know that was.
- 10:36That was the thing. That was that's a break you.
- 10:38I was like yo, I'm pretty sure Kenny used to like you know they
- 10:41had. I asked people what to bring up
- 10:43and they said a lot of street racing.
- 10:45So I'm like. That was my that was my can I
- 10:47curse or no. Yeah, I just wanna make sure.
- 10:49So that was that was my shit like.
- 10:51When I used to street race, we're talking about Sunday,
- 10:55Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. It was always a spot to go to.
- 10:58I mean, and it was almost like a schedule like we always, unless
- 11:02there was something planned like a money race or or we had to go
- 11:05to, you know, Connecticut, we went to Massachusetts.
- 11:08Like if there was different places to go to.
- 11:10Otherwise we knew exactly where we were going to be looking for
- 11:14runs, setting up runs at all the different spots.
- 11:17And it was weird because. Even like, you know, but I made
- 11:21my work around the street race, like made sure that I worked a
- 11:24certain time so that I could be available to go out at night.
- 11:28Yeah, Damn. What?
- 11:29Around what area it was it all? New York?
- 11:31Or so it was OK. So I could let me just think
- 11:34about the, think about the. You got like nicknames or
- 11:36anything like that you don't want.
- 11:37To blow out the spy. You know I don't.
- 11:39Care. These are out of Commission.
- 11:40It's tough. To be honest with you, So in
- 11:412003, I think it was Fast and Furious came out.
- 11:44Yeah, that was. Tokyo Drift, right?
- 11:46No, no, that was the that was the 1st.
- 11:47One that was original. 2003, Yeah, 2001, I think.
- 11:51Or maybe 2001. It might have been 2001.
- 11:53Everything's kind of a blur right now.
- 11:54Something like that. Regardless, early 2. 1004 or
- 11:56five is Tokyo Drift. Yeah, yeah, you're right.
- 11:58Yeah. Yeah, that's what it was 2001.
- 12:03My God, everything's A blur right now.
- 12:04That's why I'm sounding an old right here.
- 12:05Yeah. No, no, Frank Frankie's the only
- 12:07one. I appreciate the effort.
- 12:09But early 2000s? 18 thousands, I can tell you
- 12:13that we. Street racing wise and where we
- 12:17were at, I mean Sundays and Wednesdays was usually in in Car
- 12:20club. In Rockland.
- 12:22Thursday nights was 100% over in Central Ave. because it was car
- 12:26Club. I don't know if you guys ever
- 12:27heard of Nathan's, but back in the day Nathan's on Central Ave.
- 12:32was like for decades was like a very big spot for bikes, for
- 12:38cars to set up races. And so that's kind of where the
- 12:41name Central came from too. Yeah, because Central Ave.
- 12:45that's where I grew up too. And we used to always set up
- 12:48runs and there was a lot of people used to come out.
- 12:50It was pretty wild. And you could get a hot dog.
- 12:52And you could get a hot dog while setting up a run.
- 12:55Fuck. Yeah.
- 12:55So it was pretty good. And they had good cheese fries,
- 12:57so you know, yeah. Damn, that sounds.
- 13:00What was it? What what was it even like with
- 13:03like authority back then? Like it was what was was Cobbs
- 13:07getting really involved with that?
- 13:08Like, do they know what's going on?
- 13:10And they're just like, all right, this is going to probably
- 13:12be done in a little while. So the reason I brought a fast
- 13:14and furious is I think that that was the time when street racing
- 13:19started to die. Every we've heard that you.
- 13:23Say that. Because street racing brought
- 13:25unwanted attention. I'm sorry, Fast and Furious
- 13:27brought extra attention. So a culture that was.
- 13:32If you know, you know, yeah. So like if you know about street
- 13:36racing, if you're involved in it, it's because you love cars,
- 13:39you love competition, you know who the players are, you know
- 13:41where to go. All of a sudden everyone wants
- 13:44to be a street racer, everyone wants to mod a car.
- 13:46And like people that don't know anything about cars associated
- 13:49with a movie, that even though it's really entertaining and it
- 13:52was nice to watch, was kind of corny.
- 13:54Yeah, and to be honest, that feels like what's going on now
- 13:57with drifting and. Takeovers but no but.
- 14:02I don't know if you've noticed this, but you're like the 4th or
- 14:075th person out of the guests that we've had that said that.
- 14:11Yeah. The first one ever was Jason.
- 14:14Jason Kim from Rival. From Rival and he said like, no,
- 14:18that shit like blew up the spot. Pro Shop Noble said the same
- 14:21thing. Yeah, the older crew feels like
- 14:24Fast and Furious was pretty much.
- 14:28Like you just said it. It was like, yeah, it was cool,
- 14:29but it kind of ruined a lot of stuff.
- 14:32It did, Yeah, it did. It ruined it.
- 14:34I mean, obviously you have street racing now, but it's not
- 14:37the way it used to be. Yeah dude, I haven't heard
- 14:39about. I mean, we're also like
- 14:40isolated, cuz we're once we've gotten it drifting you don't
- 14:44really hear about. Street racing.
- 14:45Yeah, exactly. It's like a totally different.
- 14:47They kind of flood into each other.
- 14:48Now it's pretty easy to flood into each other cuz you check up
- 14:50on your friend and. They're doing street racing shit
- 14:53and you're like, cool. Yeah, I used to go.
- 14:55Live at the middle of the night to guess what was going on, I
- 14:57used. To go to 59 and see St. races.
- 14:59Over there. So that's that's car club.
- 15:01That's the one. That's the one by my parents
- 15:03house that I know that a few of my friends used to go to, yeah.
- 15:06Man, But then once we started drifting, I was like, I just
- 15:09assumed it stopped. But it's like I just stopped
- 15:11going. Everybody.
- 15:12Stopped going now. Yeah, they're going, they're
- 15:14going to drifting. Now Car Club was definitely
- 15:17Sundays and Wednesdays. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:19That's when we went out. I do kind of remember that too.
- 15:21Sundays and Wednesdays. What was your weapon of choice?
- 15:23What was your? What was your ship?
- 15:25So I really, like everyone became used to know me because
- 15:30of my license plate. Oh God.
- 15:32Which is Mad JDM. Oh wait, so you might hear jokes
- 15:35about all Mad JDM. Yeah, it says it right there.
- 15:37Tito JDM Mikey. Hi Mikey.
- 15:40Yeah, because, you know, Mad JDM was on my first Evil 2003, but I
- 15:46was racing before then. That's an 8.
- 15:48That's an 8, yeah. But it only became well known
- 15:50because that was the car that I used to race a lot with.
- 15:55But before then I was racing. I had a GTI that I used to race
- 15:58with. What's your first car?
- 16:00So my first car was 1999 Honda Civic SI in Electron Blue Pearl.
- 16:05That's nice as fuck. Yeah, what the hell. 99 Brand
- 16:08new That's my first car. My uncle took me on a test drive
- 16:11once in one of those. Really.
- 16:12Yeah. I felt VTech so hard.
- 16:15But how old were you then? That's probably six or seven
- 16:17when that thing came. Out.
- 16:18They probably felt like a beast. Right.
- 16:20That thing felt sick. We had a.
- 16:22Passat. Yeah, no, no, no.
- 16:24We didn't have a Passat. We had a we had a like a fucking
- 16:26Ford Aerostar or some shit at home.
- 16:29Every time I got in, that car made me throw up.
- 16:32With the Ford. The Ford we had my they returned
- 16:34him. I think my parents returned it
- 16:35because of that. Like this kid just throwing up
- 16:37in here, the Ford Aerostar it smelled like.
- 16:43The Ford Aerostar smelled like if you took a big Windex bottle
- 16:47and filled it up with new car sent and just sprayed it so
- 16:50hard. That sounds.
- 16:51Amazing. And, like, to me that smell is
- 16:53like nauseating. That's why I buy used cars.
- 16:56So you know, it's funny you mentioned that my, my, my type
- 16:59bar was down in Fortunoto. Yo, shout out to to the guys of
- 17:03Fortunoto. Oh yeah, casually.
- 17:04And they gave me a. Loaner, your car was just there.
- 17:06What are they? Doing so the yeah the coil over
- 17:08it was a the R&D car for their 505 ten.
- 17:13Coils and their height, adjustable springs.
- 17:15Wow, that's cool. But they gave me a loaner car
- 17:17and it just the smell was like, you know what it is.
- 17:21They put this air freshener inside there.
- 17:24We got those. And I think I'm allergic to it.
- 17:26And there was like 5 of them there away.
- 17:28Yeah. Yeah.
- 17:28And every time I drove the car, I just felt super duper sick and
- 17:32my skin was tingling. You know, I'm very sensitive.
- 17:34Yeah, it was pretty bad. But I mean, the car drove great.
- 17:37Yeah, it's just sick as fuck though, I.
- 17:41Had to drop the windows open. So you know, I don't know.
- 17:44That's a Filipino thing at. Least you guys have to, you
- 17:46guys. Are both sensitive?
- 17:47I get motion sickness really bad if you're.
- 17:50Is a Filipino thing. Though maybe because I never.
- 17:52It may be. Dude, no.
- 17:54Not even gonna lie, I've never had a friend who's white getting
- 17:56motion sickness. I've never got.
- 17:58Emotion. They're out there.
- 17:59My friends would be in the back seat doing back flips and shit
- 18:02and I and the slightest movement in the car, that's wrong for me
- 18:05and I'm. It's toast.
- 18:07Yeah, it's toast. And then I'm being brave about
- 18:09it. Too damn that Evo.
- 18:12Though but I want. To know more about that EVO.
- 18:14So, you know, it's funny. Like with the Evo, it wasn't
- 18:18even that fast, man, no. No.
- 18:20You probably had one of those. Guys, that cuz I remember this
- 18:23from all the street racing stuff it would be like, yeah, stock
- 18:26turbo like. I was stock turbo.
- 18:28Yeah, of course you were. Yeah, that's what they all all
- 18:30the Evo. I was stock turbo.
- 18:32So this is the thing with this, yeah, but the stock?
- 18:33Turbo is like a. 20G or some shit 18.
- 18:36Yeah, it's like 18, like equivalents, like 18.
- 18:39But when? What were all the tricks like?
- 18:41What would you do? You know what the trick is?
- 18:43Give us the old school tricks cuz not cuz.
- 18:44The trick on the street, right? Yes, it's just traction, bro.
- 18:49That's why cars these days, like people, like back in the day,
- 18:51you could race against a Supra, you know, with like that was a
- 18:54horsepower or 700 horsepower and they're not getting traction
- 18:58unless it's a prep. Surface and they're driving A6
- 19:02speed. It's they're not they were Dino
- 19:04Queens you know so I used to destroy and and I love super so
- 19:08I'm not talking shit but like I used to destroy supers.
- 19:13No but like it's it's true though like you know like if you
- 19:17have traction on the street you know they got to play catch up
- 19:20and if they're not getting traction so most of the time
- 19:23back in the day a lot of the races were against people and.
- 19:27Done wrong, I would raise anyone.
- 19:30But most of the time, and I'm not trying to sound conceited,
- 19:33but most of the time I would win is because I felt like I was a
- 19:37good driver and I was. I knew what I was up against.
- 19:39So, I mean, you know, even though I wasn't really picking
- 19:42my battles, I knew what I was getting into.
- 19:44Yeah. So you know, did you do you
- 19:46have. Cams in that thing, The Evo.
- 19:48Yeah, I do. Yeah.
- 19:49I knew you did. Yeah, but it's crazy.
- 19:51I'm telling you, it has no it has no wing.
- 19:53I'm telling you everything. Well, the one I have now does
- 19:55not. That's not the original 1.
- 19:56No, no. Yeah.
- 19:57OK. Yeah.
- 19:58So I forgot you have one now too.
- 19:59Goddamn it. Yeah.
- 20:00But. You have.
- 20:01OK, so you had two of them. You ever had three?
- 20:03Three. Yeah, three.
- 20:04All 8. All Evo eights.
- 20:06No Evo 8. Then I sold it to a friend, got
- 20:09it Evo 9, sold that, And then I picked up an Rs a couple years
- 20:12ago. OK.
- 20:13A friend of ours, and to those of you who don't really know
- 20:16Evos, an Rs has crank windows. Does it have A/C?
- 20:21In America we do, but everywhere else they don't.
- 20:23They don't. And then the radio, it has a
- 20:26radio. So in America we have a radio.
- 20:28We have a radio. Theoretically, I think some
- 20:30people got it without without it, but mine came with it.
- 20:32Because and no sunroof did any of them come?
- 20:35No, no sunroof and no sun. No rear wiper.
- 20:38So that's the Evo 8 too, right? Yeah, you could get the Evo 8 in
- 20:412004 and 2005. There's an Rs.
- 20:44I used to love those cars, man, I think.
- 20:46Subaru might have did that for the first year too.
- 20:49For STI, I remember no radio or something like that.
- 20:53To be honest to you. Probably 04 that was.
- 20:54It he's a Evo guy, why would he know about Subarus?
- 20:56Yeah, yeah, yeah. I love, I love Subarus, but I
- 20:59used to beat them all the time, so.
- 21:02Wait, wait, so, so you used to beat them?
- 21:03So like with with a stock Evo? Can you launch that shit and
- 21:08it'll be fine? Yeah.
- 21:09I launched my Subaru once in the snow and somebody said Rip Gears
- 21:13and I was like, what? No, you think?
- 21:16You don't think? So, Subaru.
- 21:18I had a WRX. No, it's fine.
- 21:19I launched it in the snow WRX has.
- 21:21I mean that trans isn't. Great, exactly.
- 21:22That's the, I think that's what they were talking about right
- 21:24there with their weak. Yeah, but like, it's fine, man.
- 21:27Launching it on pavement. Yeah, and that's a little
- 21:29different. That's what I'm saying.
- 21:30Kenny's launch. Initiative.
- 21:31It was always the transfer case that was.
- 21:34What are you breaking in that thing?
- 21:36You're breaking the transfer case.
- 21:38If you do break it, you're breaking.
- 21:40They had a this problem with a clip on the that would pop out.
- 21:44Throw a bearing clip. OK?
- 21:46Is always pop out. Damn.
- 21:47Yeah. I mean, I'll be honest with you.
- 21:49How many times that happened to you?
- 21:50Back then, never. I never.
- 21:53Was it because the power? So how much power the power was
- 21:55probably. Lower car was putting out 350
- 21:58man 350 running, running I think my the so my 9:00, my 8:00.
- 22:04Dyno .353 and my 9 dyno .3 I think 370. 4:00 and you're just
- 22:09out there beating supers. Yeah, because they just.
- 22:12Didn't have a good. Listen, you know it's weird back
- 22:14then, and This is why it's kind of cool, but it's not.
- 22:17There was no cameras back then. Yeah, yeah, so whoever was there
- 22:20will always remember. Kenny's a hat.
- 22:22A win's a win. A win is a win.
- 22:24A win is a. Win, but no.
- 22:26But we used to raise some money, though.
- 22:27Yeah, so you know, like if you. Was in for chorus.
- 22:30Fuck it was never. Ever well for.
- 22:33I would be so anxious, like unless it was like a straight up
- 22:36competition, it wasn't my money on the line.
- 22:38I'm shitting a brick and I'm missing third.
- 22:41You know, it's funny you say that, but then you go drifting
- 22:43in your AISI think I would be scared to drift.
- 22:45Racing for money is way scarier, but kind of like more it.
- 22:51Fun like like if I was like competing, like hopefully one
- 22:54day I get to get have this feeling where you're competing
- 22:56for for the money, then it's like different.
- 22:59I'm like, yeah, I'm giving while drifting.
- 23:00That's different, I would say. I'm not.
- 23:03Dishing my money out. Yeah, I I barely like gambling.
- 23:05I'd be. I'd be playing a roulette table.
- 23:07Gambling kind of in a. Way it is gambling.
- 23:09And I like to gamble, Yeah. And I think all my friends like
- 23:12to gamble. Yeah.
- 23:12So racing for money kind of makes sense to us, you know?
- 23:16And then I I like driving. So I guess it all makes sense.
- 23:21I mean, I'm, I agree with you because it's like I remember
- 23:23some kids in high school, they'd be like, yeah, we're gonna go
- 23:26race tonight. I'd be like, all right, well,
- 23:27who's what's this? What's the what's the deal?
- 23:29And they're like, we're just going for fun.
- 23:31Like you're just going for fun? You know what's crazy about it,
- 23:33though? I did.
- 23:35I never got it. I was like, you're gonna beat
- 23:36the shit out of your car and risk your license.
- 23:39For fun. So I'm a terrible mechanic,
- 23:41right? I I suck it like mechanics.
- 23:43Even though I used to work on my cars back in the day, I don't
- 23:46all my friends make fun of me because they they they say I'm
- 23:48better off holding a flashlight. OK, but I'll tell you this when
- 23:51I drive my cars, if you want to drive and you want to win, you
- 23:56can't give a fuck about your car.
- 23:57Yeah, yeah, you just got to go and do what you got to do.
- 24:00And so, like, I have friends that are mechanics.
- 24:02That's kind of same with drifting, yeah.
- 24:04All right, so like you. Think I'm giving a fuck?
- 24:06About the IS I'm driving that thing.
- 24:08You're not giving a fuck. So I have friends in the
- 24:09mechanics and they'll overthink everything when they're driving
- 24:12because they're thinking about what I could break or what What
- 24:15if I? Do this.
- 24:16That's Chris. And So what happens is, I'm
- 24:19Chris. I mean, not to talk shit, but it
- 24:21probably affects your driving, you know?
- 24:23And then you're and then you're not happy with the results
- 24:25because you're overthinking everything.
- 24:27So. Kenny's fucking busting us all
- 24:29down. No, no, no, no.
- 24:31I'm just saying like, no. So.
- 24:33No, no, that's real. So that's fine.
- 24:34You're probably a really good mechanic then, because you're
- 24:36thinking about everything right. The best one I know.
- 24:38And I'm a terrible mechanic, so you know, we all have a place.
- 24:41But you can hold a flashlight. I could hold a flashlight.
- 24:44You can order some food. I could order some food and then
- 24:47if you want me to drive, I'm pretty sure I could drive.
- 24:49There we go. Yeah, yeah.
- 24:50No, that's true, though. I just never.
- 24:52They would always go out like every.
- 24:54Every night and just go beat on their cars and get.
- 24:57You know what pulled? Over.
- 24:58I'm going to tell you something that I really love about racing.
- 25:01It's not just the racing. It's the shit talking.
- 25:04Yeah, it's like and and it's being with your friends and and
- 25:08and it's it's really like like a constant bonding moment.
- 25:11Yeah. When you're with your boys,
- 25:13everyone has like you know who has your back.
- 25:14You're there for because you love it and you're talking all
- 25:17this shit. You go out, you raise for money,
- 25:19you would you even when you lose.
- 25:20Yeah, which? I was gonna say can do you do
- 25:22you have any, do you have any stories of like, what a losing
- 25:26moment I want to? Hear about SO.
- 25:27Like, what did you lose? Probably so many.
- 25:29Probably a spacious. You lose a lot of.
- 25:31So many situations. I used to say this.
- 25:34I used to say this to my boys a lot, and that's other people
- 25:37like. If you're not first, you're
- 25:38last. Nah, I used to get tired of
- 25:39winning. Ah.
- 25:43Hey, yo. So like, I don't know if Mikey's
- 25:46in the chat right now. Or maybe Gerard?
- 25:49Gerald may disagree because he thinks that he beat me a couple
- 25:51of times doing roll on races which don't really count.
- 25:53No, no, because I'll I'm in a group chat with them called
- 25:57Pogie Power. Yeah.
- 25:58And Gerard does talk some shit to you, sometimes randomly back
- 26:02in the I don't know how many years ago we've been in this
- 26:04group chat, but it's happened before and I didn't really get
- 26:08that effort. That is my brother.
- 26:10Right like I I. Also, yeah, again, like our
- 26:13conversations, they're usually just passer by conversations.
- 26:15So like this is kind of funny for me.
- 26:17So. Me and Gerard have been racing,
- 26:19he's been racing for years too. I know Gerard's a gangster too.
- 26:21He does some hood stuff. Yeah, yeah, he definitely is.
- 26:24And me and him, we just our relationship is about talking
- 26:29shit to each other. That's fine.
- 26:31That's fair. Like brothers.
- 26:33And it gets pretty heated and he thinks he enjoys when he thinks
- 26:36he gets me mad. Yeah, that's the goal.
- 26:39Right. Yeah, that's the goal.
- 26:40So, you know, we have a history of like, talking.
- 26:42Shit. But you need to remember one
- 26:44time when you guys were all getting ready to go out, I'm
- 26:47gonna smoke this guy. And then you lost.
- 26:50I did, I do. So there was this guy.
- 26:54Now let me just give you a perspective.
- 26:56Obviously. Well, I don't say obvious cuz
- 26:58you guys are into like drifting and stuff like that, but I used
- 27:01to raise during a time when. There was crews like High Boost.
- 27:04I don't know if you ever heard of.
- 27:05High. Booths.
- 27:06Hell yeah, dude. Caesar, hockey, Rob, maps, You
- 27:10know, rest in peace, you know, to rob.
- 27:12But I remember these guys when we were just like regular
- 27:15people. No one was really well known,
- 27:17but I mean, we were known in the street, but now, like everyone
- 27:20kind of made annoying for themselves over the years.
- 27:22Yeah, and social media and everything.
- 27:23Too social media and and and stuff like that.
- 27:25But back then we were just regular people that love to to
- 27:29drive on the street and race and get together.
- 27:32There was this one guy in in Nanuet and his name is Pat, but
- 27:38we used to call him Godzilla. He was this big tall dude and he
- 27:42used to drive Mustangs. So I sold my evil weight, got it
- 27:47An Evil 9 brand new was bone stock.
- 27:49And he saw it and he he goes, oh, you got a nice, you know,
- 27:51new Evo. And he had a Oh my God, what was
- 27:55it? I think it was a Mach 1 Mustang.
- 27:57It was like a 2004, 2000, no, 2006.
- 28:01And yeah, I. Remember that car?
- 28:03Yeah, it was the Mach one. It was like the first year.
- 28:05It was pretty. It was like the I forgot what
- 28:06horsepower I had. Anyway, he baited me into giving
- 28:10him. Those weren't that.
- 28:11Fast though, right? No, but I gave him too much.
- 28:14So I gave him, yeah. Yeah, because he's like, you're
- 28:16all-wheel drive. You know how to drive.
- 28:18You've been doing this for years.
- 28:19So. So he was like, listen, he goes,
- 28:21you got all-wheel drive even though you're stocked.
- 28:24I already know you're going to take me.
- 28:25You should give me X amount. And I was cocky, so I was like,
- 28:29whatever, I'll give you whatever the hell you want, you know?
- 28:31That wasn't for a lot of money grown.
- 28:32Man to admit. Ah, listen, I'll.
- 28:35Talk about every loss I have. I don't care.
- 28:36That's why I just got to try to remember and that, that.
- 28:38Yeah. That's perfect.
- 28:39Yeah, so. How many cars you give him?
- 28:41I it was a car and a half and the brake, yeah, but the problem
- 28:45here is he didn't launch his car.
- 28:47So we line up right? We had a flagger and I'm over
- 28:51here waiting for him to launch it.
- 28:52What he does is he eases off real slow right?
- 28:56So he's a car and 1/2 in front of me ready and he gets the
- 28:58brake so. He eases off real slow by the
- 29:01time I realized that. He's even.
- 29:03Moving that, He's even moving. He's already like another car,
- 29:06like, yeah. And so he basically took like
- 29:08even an extra car on top of that.
- 29:10So I launched and my car wasn't that stocky was.
- 29:14Yeah. So it was even close, Yeah.
- 29:16And. And I think I saw him at A at A
- 29:19at the doctor's office. Kind of weird like a year and a
- 29:21half ago it was. I got into a car accident.
- 29:24Get your colonoscopy Done. No.
- 29:26Jesus. You got my ears, you know.
- 29:29Me too. Me too, now.
- 29:31But I saw him over there and we were just joking around.
- 29:34And to this day, he still thinks it's funny, you know, Which it
- 29:36is. That's awesome.
- 29:37Yeah, yeah. If he hears this, you know the.
- 29:39Y'all just sit down and he just goes.
- 29:42Remember when I? Smoked your ass.
- 29:44Oh. Yeah, you know, stuff like that
- 29:45you kind of never forget though. Damn.
- 29:47That's funny. Yeah, no, but that's because I
- 29:50remember when we would ever, we would all set up a raise for
- 29:53someone and then everyone be excited like, oh, you're gonna,
- 29:55it's no problem. And that.
- 29:57And then you go and you just get fucking smoked.
- 29:59Smoked, I know. And everyone's like, oh, and the
- 30:02whole mood just changes for the rest of the night.
- 30:05That's done. Everyone go home.
- 30:07I think what I not to talk shit. Right not to sound conceited.
- 30:10Talk your shit. It's cool.
- 30:11I know, but I'm a humble guy. I know you are.
- 30:14That's why. I know.
- 30:15That's why I look at you and I'm like, damn, Kenny, I I thought
- 30:17Kenny was just like. Yeah, but he's in the street
- 30:19raising mode. Yeah, he's in hood mode.
- 30:21This is Hood. I just enjoyed it.
- 30:22Very, you know, like, I think we had such good memories with me
- 30:25and my boys, but now you. Can live though what you have
- 30:27been like. I feel like now you're like, OK,
- 30:31you know it's calm now. It's funny you mentioned that,
- 30:33right? Because I told all my friends,
- 30:36no, it's very important like, and I encourage this for
- 30:38everyone I meet. It live your life with no
- 30:42regret. Like I like I look back right
- 30:44now. Yeah man.
- 30:46Like go out and do the shit that that will make you happy.
- 30:49Like even if it's kind of crazy obviously don't do anything like
- 30:52to risk your life, but you know go and live your life.
- 30:55You want to go be a fucking, you know drifter and and do some
- 30:58crazy shit go chase after it. Because by the time you have
- 31:01your family and and you have real responsibility and it now
- 31:05your time is like taken up by more important things.
- 31:09Yeah, I look back and let me tell you, I I had some crazy
- 31:12things happen that I look back and I'm thankful that I'm alive.
- 31:16It's kind of weird, you know? I I joke around with my friends
- 31:19right now. Like we remember times where, I
- 31:22mean, not over here. We had some.
- 31:23We had a lot of street racing in the sentence like crazy shit,
- 31:26like the cops. I don't even know if I should
- 31:29say. You know, I'll say that's
- 31:30allegedly. Allegedly.
- 31:33Blank. Well, it was so long ago, it's
- 31:34probably but like you know, like back.
- 31:36Then like a 10 year thing, you're good.
- 31:38No cops watching this. No, but like, you know, and it
- 31:41was over 10 years, like it was a long time ago.
- 31:43Yeah, we're talking about early 2000s, you know?
- 31:45Just like chasing you guys and shit.
- 31:47Yeah, chasing us. Or like shit like, you know,
- 31:50this kind of, there's all these kind of stories that you look
- 31:52back and you just be like, you know, you're thankful that,
- 31:55yeah, even the race is the people that we used to just meet
- 31:58up with back in the day. Yeah, yeah, I was about to say
- 32:01like. That's sketchy.
- 32:03Dude, I do have some times recently.
- 32:05Dude, you meet up with some people and you're like, you
- 32:08know, they, you don't know what they're planning.
- 32:11Well, so back in the day, obviously, like, whenever this
- 32:14money involved, yeah, you know, you gotta make sure that you're
- 32:16with the right people. I remember we raced this one
- 32:18time and we won the race and they gave like a stack of money,
- 32:22but in between the stack was Monopoly money.
- 32:25Yeah. So we started counting here and
- 32:27we were like, what the? Yeah, so.
- 32:29But now, from that moment on, they're known as the guys that
- 32:32are going to give you Monopoly money.
- 32:33So they probably. But then, not now that they're
- 32:35the reason why. Now everybody has to sit there
- 32:38and look through it and shit like I I feel like more and more
- 32:43ways to scheme, you know it became more and more like.
- 32:46Not that it isn't, it isn't like that sportsman like.
- 32:53Yeah, St. Races that it was, but you
- 32:54don't. Know who you're fucking with?
- 32:56Half. Of sometimes nowadays 100% G.
- 32:59Even back then, worse, I mean I stopped going out to the races
- 33:02because I had an incident that probably scared the crap out of
- 33:06me, you know, and and stuff like that I looked at as a wake up
- 33:11call. I went home and I was very
- 33:13thankful that I was able to to see my family sleeping that day,
- 33:17you know, and it was one of those incidents where I won't
- 33:20get into it, but. I was literally like the last
- 33:22guy to leave, and it was probably like 4:35, o'clock in
- 33:25the morning. I wasn't even involved with
- 33:27anything. I was just there because my
- 33:29friends were there. And it just so happened that one
- 33:33of the people you're talking about, that really sketchy
- 33:35people, that they're not even involved with the racing,
- 33:37they're just there with the other side.
- 33:39That's the worst, you know, like.
- 33:40Another bystander. Well, you know, there's always
- 33:42always a lot of underlying drama and sometimes people get
- 33:46involved that have nothing to do with the racing but everything
- 33:49to do with the drama. You know, and they come there
- 33:52because of the drama and because I'm just associated with the
- 33:55other side, they don't even know me.
- 33:57But they seem they they just know that that's the other side.
- 34:01I'm by myself. I was the last guy to leave
- 34:03this, this, this location. And because of that, it was like
- 34:07a way for call. Like, you know, I'm, I'm here,
- 34:08I'm okay, thank God. And everything theoretically
- 34:12worked out. But you know you come across
- 34:14people that will remind you of life, you know, so.
- 34:19Yeah, I sound old right now. But no, no, that's fine.
- 34:21I feel like. You're right though.
- 34:23I feel like that's the shit though, now that you thankfully,
- 34:26like everybody's got a phone now.
- 34:29Yeah, there is like pluses and minuses.
- 34:31There are pluses and minuses, like with the phone thing.
- 34:33I was going to say like, do you think even if Fast and the
- 34:36Furious didn't even cut, didn't come out right, let's say, let's
- 34:38say the saga, I don't even know how many they got right now. 15
- 34:42I was watching 10 last night. And.
- 34:45Crazy. To say and I couldn't even
- 34:47finish it, man. I had to turn it off.
- 34:48No, I stopped. It it gets So I'll be sitting
- 34:51there now, probably under the influence of something, and I'll
- 34:55look at it and I'm watching this shit like I forget which one
- 34:58this is. But this is where I started to
- 35:01get kind of fucked, like they were launching a Dodge Charger
- 35:04and then a parachute came out the back and.
- 35:07First of all, the trajectory was.
- 35:09Wait, did they go to space in that one?
- 35:11No, I didn't even know. That is that a fucking.
- 35:13Thing, I think. They went to space.
- 35:14I see these. Memes about it.
- 35:15And I'm like, oh, that's funny because Dom jumped off from one
- 35:18bridge to the other bridge, but they actually went to space.
- 35:20Is that yes? I'm pretty sure they did.
- 35:22On the 9th one I think. We need these guys to go to Mars
- 35:25and figure that shit out. You shouldn't be those guys.
- 35:27Yeah, the guys that actually come up with this shit, man.
- 35:29But. Do you think do you think that
- 35:32with? Phones and social media now cuz
- 35:34I think that that no matter what that would have happened that
- 35:38development in our whatever. Without a doubt.
- 35:41It's humans. Yeah, I think that.
- 35:42I think. That street racing would have
- 35:43got blown up. Honestly, I'm just, I'm even
- 35:46surprised that people put it out there, right?
- 35:50And maybe I'm sounding old, but people put it out there in the
- 35:54space where? You can see everything and.
- 35:57Oh, you mean like today, like? Hey, like, runs today though.
- 35:59I'm gonna go race tonight, you know?
- 36:01Yeah, come watch my video with my license plate on my face and
- 36:03everything and it's. Like Kenny's sitting there these
- 36:06months. Well, sometimes.
- 36:08Sometimes they do get fucked for that shit.
- 36:10Well, that's why you got to put a shy Ste.
- 36:12On. But it's so random.
- 36:13Like, the cops just decide, OK, we're gonna pick this video.
- 36:15It's time to crack down. Yeah, let's crack down.
- 36:17This. You know what a shy Ste. is,
- 36:18Frankie. No, I don't.
- 36:19Think so? It's a ski mask.
- 36:21OK, I didn't know it either, so let's.
- 36:23Go. I only found out that word the
- 36:25other day. I've been saying it so much.
- 36:27Can I say one thing, though? So I enjoy Rd. racing now, OK?
- 36:31And the evolution. Yeah, the evolution.
- 36:34That's what I do now. No pun intended.
- 36:35No, no, it's all good. Oh, yeah.
- 36:38I. Do race the evil too.
- 36:39I know you. Do so, did you jump to that
- 36:42after that incident you think? I took a long break so so after
- 36:46the incident that I mentioned, that's when central.
- 36:49We went back to Central. That's when I started focusing
- 36:51on doing things that were not racing related.
- 36:55Yeah, wow. Yeah.
- 36:56And that was probably like like the later like close to 2000,
- 37:012010, 2011. And that's when me and my
- 37:04partner, so my partner on Central is Edwin, shot at Edwin
- 37:07from prime. What the.
- 37:09Fuck yeah. Yeah, Yeah.
- 37:11So me and him, we started Central, which is originally
- 37:15called Underground. UNDRGRND that's actually we
- 37:19registered it as in 2004. I've known it for a long time.
- 37:22Yeah, yeah, yeah. So the whole idea was we wanted
- 37:26to to cover underground cultures including cars.
- 37:30So we used to go to like B. Boy events.
- 37:32We used to go to graffiti events, like like legit like
- 37:35meet up with like famous graffiti artists in the Bronx
- 37:37and and take pictures and cover them and it was dope and and but
- 37:42obviously cars was was a thing. Yeah.
- 37:44So it evolved. It's a lifestyle brand more.
- 37:46That's what it was originally. It's kind of sick.
- 37:48An urban lifestyle that promotes where we're from, which is New
- 37:52York. But then cars just really blew
- 37:55up. And after I had that incident, I
- 37:58was like, you know what? I love cars.
- 37:59I'm probably gonna take a break from going to the streets.
- 38:02I had a kid, so I was like, you know what?
- 38:05I don't really wanna be going out in the middle of the night.
- 38:09And. Plus, I was getting tired.
- 38:10I don't know if it makes sense, but I was getting tired of
- 38:13staying away till 4:00 or 5:00. O'clock.
- 38:14Every night especially, you're getting tired with my.
- 38:16Full. Time job.
- 38:17Yeah. Well, that's what.
- 38:18Yeah, I started working, doing other things.
- 38:20And, you know, originally for many years, I mean, we're
- 38:23talking about a long period of time where everything revolved
- 38:27around me going on at night. You know, even my wife, like,
- 38:30it's kind of funny because, yeah, she put up with it for
- 38:33years. So that was that was your job is
- 38:35what? You're what's my job?
- 38:35Well, listen, when I met my wife, true story.
- 38:40She used to come out with me everywhere, right?
- 38:41I should take her to Hunts Point in the Bronx.
- 38:44And she used to sleep in the car I would park it at.
- 38:48It would be like 11:12 o'clock. I would park the car and unless
- 38:51we were jumping from spot to spot because of the cops, she
- 38:54would sleep in the car and then she would wake up and I would be
- 38:56at the line with all the people and she would just be in the car
- 38:59sleeping and or I'll be racing sleeping.
- 39:02Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So she would be with me
- 39:04everywhere is to take it to Deer Park.
- 39:06I have new P and then one day. She woke up, she she got really
- 39:11mad because I started racing with someone on on, you know,
- 39:13doing a pull and she woke up from the sound and the the feel
- 39:18of of us racing. And she said that was the last
- 39:19time she'd ever come out and sure enough, she never came out
- 39:22me again. Oh, wow.
- 39:23Yeah. She held that.
- 39:25She held her word. Oh yeah, she held it.
- 39:27She. That happened to another friend
- 39:28of mine. Do you remember this Chris?
- 39:30We had this other friend, his name was Jeff.
- 39:31He would just fall asleep all the time, even behind the wheel
- 39:34and like literally would fall asleep anywhere, dude.
- 39:38And we were driving home and we, our buddy, I forgot his name but
- 39:43he had a EG hatch with a K series and like a turbo.
- 39:46I didn't really know a lot about cars back then.
- 39:48It was a 6262 Anton Cool dude. Wonder if he's doing all right
- 39:54but had a turbo on it. And we're driving home from E
- 39:57Town where we got kicked out because it ran a sub ten.
- 39:59I mean, there's no cage. So he got kicked out.
- 40:02Yeah, off the track. Ratchet Fridays.
- 40:05Yes, Chris. Thank you.
- 40:06We were at an event called Ratchet Fridays, those of you
- 40:08from New Jersey or anybody in the surrounding New Jersey area.
- 40:11No, that was like kind of their shot at like giving people track
- 40:16time. You could show up anybody.
- 40:18I think it was like pretty affordable to go run your car.
- 40:21You can call out anybody. And we're on the highway on the
- 40:25Turnpike and the Eg's driving and then a GTR R35 rolls right
- 40:30up next to it and I'm shitting my pants because.
- 40:32I'm like, oh, that's a GTR and like this is a Civic.
- 40:35I don't again, I don't really know a lot about cars at this
- 40:37point. And they locked it up and our
- 40:38boys sitting in a passenger seat and you just hear the EG like.
- 40:44What? And you?
- 40:45You see Jeff in the bass. What the?
- 40:47Fuck is going on. He was asleep.
- 40:49Just woke up. Because my funny.
- 40:50Ripping from the fucking run, it's.
- 40:52A good time. Yeah.
- 40:53But you ever, did you ever had the EG?
- 40:57Yeah, the EG smoked the GTR. That was that was sick.
- 41:00I was. We were in an odyssey.
- 41:02I was underage, drunk. It was crazy off the wine that I
- 41:07stole from my parents. I remember that day she gave me
- 41:10a headache. Allegedly.
- 41:11Allegedly, Allegedly. I probably got the motion
- 41:14sickness now that I think about it, cuz I was probably in that
- 41:16car running around trying to look at this GTR.
- 41:20Dude, Honda's being Gtr's is sick.
- 41:22No, but it was a clean looking car.
- 41:24That was the thing like I knew what a drag on to look like and
- 41:27it, you know, fucking. Yeah.
- 41:29Like in the front. Yeah.
- 41:30And then the back. Usually, yeah.
- 41:32You know, and then, but this one was clean and he drove it there
- 41:35and drove it home and I was like, what the fuck?
- 41:37Like that's sick. And that's after that day.
- 41:41I was like Turbo K series mega fast.
- 41:44Until this day. They're they're fucking crazy
- 41:45fast. Yeah.
- 41:46Yeah. You ever, you ever had to, do
- 41:48you ever have to run with the 350 horsepower EVO like
- 41:53successfully? You're like gone.
- 41:56I mean like. From the From the From From the
- 41:58authorities? Allegedly.
- 41:59Allegedly. Allegedly, yeah.
- 42:02That's that's terrifying. Taking a 300.
- 42:05You could make a 500 horsepower car go fast.
- 42:08You know, like it's easy to get it up to speed.
- 42:11Pause. It's.
- 42:11Also more dangerous. Yeah, but 350, you're kind of
- 42:15you. Just got to outs.
- 42:16He's giving him, oh, she's. Caught.
- 42:17Yeah, you got to outsmart him. That's what it is.
- 42:20Outsmart him like in the cool down zone.
- 42:22Put the cover on, peel the wrap off.
- 42:26Hit the. Change your outfit.
- 42:28Yeah, it was. Definitely a different time
- 42:30though. You know, like it was a time
- 42:32where you didn't have to worry about cameras.
- 42:34Yeah, you didn't have to worry about, like, you know, even
- 42:39allegedly on top cars. They didn't have cameras back.
- 42:42I remember the day that they installed cameras and they were
- 42:44like, listen, when the siren goes off, the camera turns on.
- 42:46Yeah, and. And that was like a big deal for
- 42:48like a lot of people that used to come out like, oh shit, so
- 42:51the light comes on, the cameras on, we're probably.
- 42:53We're probably fucked already. Yeah.
- 42:54So that's how long ago we're talking about.
- 42:56Yeah, we're talking about a different time, a different
- 42:58everything was just different. Back then, I just realized I
- 43:00totally hopped back in the street racing.
- 43:01We were talking about Central already.
- 43:03We're already past that part of Kennedy's Life St.
- 43:05Racing Oh, I don't care. I consider.
- 43:06Racing is just sick though. It's that's, it's, it's the,
- 43:09it's the illegality part of it and like the.
- 43:11The like like that shit is just if we're street racing, I'm
- 43:14smoking a cigarette. Let me tell you man, if you like
- 43:17the the Avenue P days that the Hunts Point days, the Zuriga
- 43:22flat flat lands in Brooklyn, like these are spots that were
- 43:28legendary. Like you go back there, if you
- 43:30know the nights to go on, you could just go there and hang out
- 43:33all night, man. Was there like a race wars?
- 43:36Like, like your version of Race Wars.
- 43:37Like a big. One man.
- 43:38I wish you guys could experience it.
- 43:40I'm God damn. I think I caught the tail end.
- 43:42I think I was gonna say if you did 50.
- 43:44Nine. You were definitely out there
- 43:45seeing some stuff. I definitely, I remember a lot
- 43:48of different drag racing experience.
- 43:49I never really did any of the serious ones ever, but I saw a
- 43:52lot of them and it just it gives me the same feeling I get St.
- 43:57drifting. It is definitely the same.
- 43:59It was so exciting and like I don't that was.
- 44:03Some of the most fun times I ever had with cars.
- 44:05Well, you know, like, and it didn't matter.
- 44:07It was not about being a kid because there was people that I
- 44:12don't want to blow spots, man. But there was people up there
- 44:15that were like older than me now.
- 44:17Yeah, yeah, yeah. They were out there with their,
- 44:18their adult kids and like, they were good friends of mine, man.
- 44:22And they were racing and they go home to their families, to their
- 44:24job and you see them and they're like in their 50s and 60s, yeah.
- 44:28And to this day I'm in Group chats with them and they're
- 44:30still looking for runs. Yeah, that's dope.
- 44:33They do, dude. They pick up some new like, but
- 44:35I bet you now it's like it's a I just take the GD3RS, Let's go
- 44:38give it. Give it a try.
- 44:39So like what? So the guy I'm thinking about,
- 44:44he's now, he's still out there. He has a Camaro, 97 Camaro, you
- 44:49know, or nitrous. OK.
- 44:50So looks like, yeah, his son has fox bodies, you know, and they
- 44:54still look for runs. I mean, obviously they don't get
- 44:56the runs like we used to back in the day.
- 44:57Yeah, but you know, they're always down to race.
- 44:59Now this is, this is what the street racing scene looks like
- 45:02to me because I've I got caught up in it once.
- 45:04Oh God. I was at a Buffalo Wild Wings by
- 45:07my house. If Tyler, my roommate, is
- 45:10listening to this, he will know we were there.
- 45:13And there's a group that that convenes there because the
- 45:16highway by my house, it's like pretty accessible to that
- 45:20Buffalo Wild Wings, but I don't even really think it's that
- 45:22accessible. But regardless, they'll be like
- 45:25a bunch of. He might know about it.
- 45:27Not dude it on 78. 78 Yeah. I mean, you're talking about
- 45:32the, like the spot spot that they run.
- 45:34Probably not. On the highway, it's always A
- 45:37roll because you could hear it from my.
- 45:38Hands. OK.
- 45:38No, no. It's a roll.
- 45:40It's and it's just a bunch of kids.
- 45:41I feel like it's like a normal little.
- 45:42Like it's like people in the area, someone try to run, but
- 45:44like it's a it's. This is always what's there, a
- 45:46bunch of Mustangs all on skinny tires in the front.
- 45:50OK, OK. I don't know if that if it's
- 45:52like a legitimate setup or if it's just like a small tire.
- 45:55Yeah, but like, it's a small tire.
- 45:57And and it's got like fat ass wheels and they're all just
- 46:00lined up and I'm like what are they expecting to do?
- 46:02Like if somebody just going to roll in here like I want to race
- 46:05one of. These they might.
- 46:06Is it? Yeah, that's how.
- 46:09But but there was one time. I'll run into some.
- 46:11Sometimes they drive them on the street and you'll run it.
- 46:13There's a there's like an eclipse.
- 46:14An older eclipse. I'm assuming it's like a GSX.
- 46:17The four wheel drive one I want to that's that's the shit that I
- 46:20want to see like I know a Mustang is going to go fast.
- 46:24I know like. You look at a Civic, you could
- 46:27tell if it's gonna go faster. Yeah, yeah.
- 46:28Like, I loved second Gen. eclipses.
- 46:31So the second Gen. do. You really?
- 46:33Yeah. I love.
- 46:33Them. Yeah, I love them too.
- 46:34Stop. Yeah, that was the evil before
- 46:36the evil. Yeah, now you're actually
- 46:38telling the truth. You look like you're
- 46:39full-fledged time. That was the first car I ever
- 46:41turned a wrench on. Really too.
- 46:42Oh yeah, was the 2nd Gen. Eclipse.
- 46:44Yeah, it was. Was it a non turbo one?
- 46:46No, it was a turbo one. But the non turbo 1, yet again
- 46:50my dad told me he was like the demographic of that car.
- 46:53Were chicks. Yeah, 100%.
- 46:56I'm Okay and they. Had that same thing with two
- 46:5740s. The ugly shift.
- 46:59Knob and the automatic Mitsubishi's of that era it.
- 47:01Looked like a curve. That shit looked like, you know,
- 47:03you know what it looked like A penis.
- 47:06A penis. It did.
- 47:08But Toyotas had that same thing too, like a forerunner.
- 47:10The camera and all that shit had that.
- 47:12You know. Yeah, but dude, that was a 4G63
- 47:14on all-wheel drive. GSX was all-wheel drive.
- 47:17Yeah, what gravitated you to the Evo?
- 47:19So it's like you. Didn't have a car before that at
- 47:21all. Nah, that's this is a good segue
- 47:22because you mentioned about second Gen. the fastest car that
- 47:26I was ever in before I got into St. like any anything car
- 47:30related, I just like cars. But I didn't know anything about
- 47:32like the car culture was my wife, cousin, he lived in
- 47:38Jersey. And he was actually part of Team
- 47:40Well, we wasn't part of Team Alpha.
- 47:41He knew the Team Alpha guys though.
- 47:43Back in there he used to talk about them and how these guys.
- 47:46So Team Alpha guys were like like Brian from his sleep race
- 47:50now. They had a car, car crew back
- 47:51then and my wife's cousin used to always talk about them and
- 47:55their civics. OK.
- 47:57And. You caught, you caught a little.
- 47:59Yeah, this is back in like 9899. Oh damn.
- 48:01Yeah. So, but he had a GSX.
- 48:04He had a 98 GSX and anyway it was.
- 48:08Fastest. Fuck.
- 48:09He swapped it to A16G and back then if you're doing anything
- 48:13faster than the 50, like if you're doing fourteens, you're a
- 48:15rocket. Right.
- 48:17Yeah, that's. Right, back in the day.
- 48:18Yeah dude. So like, I'm trying to think of
- 48:20other cars during that area. 9899, the Integra GSR just came
- 48:23out 98. Yeah.
- 48:25I mean, it's only car. Yeah, you're doing high fifteens
- 48:28at best. Like an S14?
- 48:30Bone stop is. Literally ripping A-17 down that
- 48:33quarter. Mile So SRT4 oh wait, what did
- 48:35you say? S14-O S 14.
- 48:37But an SRT for that? That was.
- 48:39But that's. Literally got the same shit.
- 48:41Isn't that technically? Isn't that I had that 24 Turbo,
- 48:442.4 Turbo and theoretically they were like similarly evils awful
- 48:50but you know we're talking about like in the late 90s, so like
- 48:54the domestics were running thirteens right?
- 48:57Or fourteens, thirteens, fourteens right with Boltons,
- 49:00but if you were an import. And you were driving a Honda
- 49:04that's all motor or nitrous. You're probably doing fourteens
- 49:06at best. So shit got like drastically
- 49:09faster it did in that 10 year period.
- 49:12It's so I always think about this, right?
- 49:14Because I saw this, this little clip that I've actually posted
- 49:17on the Central IG recently that brought back memories.
- 49:20It was a it's like a 14. I forgot the name movie The Last
- 49:22Race. I don't know if you ever heard
- 49:23of it. Yeah, it's called The Last Race.
- 49:26It's like a 15 or 20 minute short film.
- 49:29But it's really dope because it really gave me the vibes.
- 49:32Of the way it used to be. Maybe I did see.
- 49:33I've seen some of those on YouTube.
- 49:35Right. You should YouTube it.
- 49:36Yeah, the last race it's on there.
- 49:39So the reason I bring it up is, you know, these days people are
- 49:42running eights, nines and the cars are super fast and they're
- 49:44racing. And I know that no matter what,
- 49:47if you're doing an 8 or 9 second car trapping at 150 in the
- 49:50street, you got to be able to drive the car without a doubt.
- 49:53But there's a different feeling when you and and I get it like
- 49:57we're running 131415, so it's not as fast but you.
- 50:02The driving feeling it was just there was no assistance back
- 50:05then. You could either drive the car
- 50:06or you can't. And that I'm saying that 14
- 50:09second car hits you in the back so different than like the newer
- 50:13cars. I ran a 14 in my STI.
- 50:16You know, would run a. 14 I think that shit was terrible,
- 50:18though, because that shit was stage two quote UN quote.
- 50:21I was like, I should be doing like faster than this.
- 50:24But on the street, I guarantee it feels fast as shit you're.
- 50:27Oh yeah, no against, against normal on the street, it felt
- 50:30like. My car had more power than it
- 50:32should. Yes.
- 50:33So you were running fourteens? I think it's mid 14514,
- 50:37something like that. Question What year was this
- 50:40year? 05.
- 50:41And was OK. And it was Downpipe Stocks
- 50:44Herbo, do you? Remember what your trap speed
- 50:46was? No.
- 50:47All right, so. But you weren't into drag
- 50:49racing? No.
- 50:49All right. I'm only saying that because
- 50:51it's dabbled. If you're doing a 14 on STI,
- 50:54it's pretty slow. That's what I thought.
- 50:55Yeah. Yeah.
- 50:56No, no, I don't mean no, no, no, no.
- 50:58The. Same way.
- 50:59Well, not, but you could drift. I can't drift.
- 51:01So I'm not talking shit. I'm not talking shit.
- 51:02What I am saying is. I was like, dude, come on.
- 51:05I did like three runs. I was like, it's gotta be.
- 51:07Faster. I never owned a single fast car.
- 51:09It wasn't wasn't was off because it just doesn't sound like.
- 51:13Like those cars bone stock were actually faster than evils bone
- 51:16stock. And I was like, dude, I'm
- 51:17fucking launching this shit come.
- 51:18On How did I see that right there would scare him?
- 51:20Well, well, it was. It's.
- 51:21Fun dude. No, but SEI is bone stock.
- 51:23We're doing low thirteens out-of-the-box.
- 51:25Yeah. I mean, unless it was a
- 51:26summertime, if it was super hot, I could understand.
- 51:29You lose power, you go into English town like the.
- 51:31Time I I remember thinking the time I ran was good for a stock
- 51:34car and I was like, but my car is not stock.
- 51:36Yeah. Yeah, you know.
- 51:37What? I mean, that's why I was like,
- 51:38what the fuck? So bone stock and my evils.
- 51:41Yeah, I was always mid, the high thirteens.
- 51:44Yeah. And then with just a tune, I
- 51:45went 12-8 on my Evil 8. So you were saying about that
- 51:49GSX? Oh yeah.
- 51:51Yeah, you gotta ride it. So I'm the fastest car, right?
- 51:54So yeah, I've never, I've never experienced a fast car.
- 51:56This is so this is 99. Yeah, I just got my, my 99 SII
- 52:01didn't know anything about racing besides the fact I like
- 52:04to race. I didn't know about the track.
- 52:06I didn't know about, like launching, so.
- 52:09Go to my cousin's house, my wife's cousin at the time, and
- 52:12she was just my girl at the time and her cousin Ray Christopher,
- 52:18we call him Christopher or Ray, he, he was into street racing at
- 52:22the time and he used to talk about the guys from Team Alpha
- 52:25because I had a SI and he's like, yo, these guys are really
- 52:27fast with with their Hondas and they're always racing.
- 52:30That's. The car I wanted, by the way.
- 52:32SI. Yeah, 2000, yeah, the EM.
- 52:35One, Yeah, EM1 SI. That's the one I was the first
- 52:38car I wanted. Oh, I love that car.
- 52:39I remember watching come off the truck.
- 52:41Yeah, it was just really, you know, electron blue, the way the
- 52:43color hit. I think it's still my favorite.
- 52:44Oh, I know that blue. Yeah, I.
- 52:46Love. That's a very signature Civic
- 52:48blue. I wanted the black one and then
- 52:50I saw Fast and Furious and I was like I need.
- 52:51That car? Yeah, my cousin had a silver
- 52:54base Model 1. That's sick.
- 52:56Too, though. OK and I.
- 52:57I thought that shit was cool because they put this intake in
- 52:59it and like a big ass blue pipe. Sticking out the front.
- 53:03Sticking out, sticking out like, and it's long, you know, goes
- 53:06down the city and into the Fender.
- 53:08I remember seeing that shit and my cousins like trying to not
- 53:11have my other cousins Revit because, you know, they're all
- 53:13like. You.
- 53:16Get a ride in this car. Right.
- 53:17So I get a ride in this car and I've never ever experienced a
- 53:22car launched the way that, yeah, he launched the GSX.
- 53:26And he was trying to make the front wheels come off the ground
- 53:29and that's what his objective was like.
- 53:30Your washes up when I try to make your front wheels come off
- 53:32and every single time they all drive turbo car.
- 53:34He had a 16G turbo in there. So.
- 53:37And we're talking about 99, yeah, so in 99. 16G is not even
- 53:41that crazy, but back then. Back then, he's probably putting
- 53:43out like high threes, low fours, yeah.
- 53:45You know, all-wheel drive, yeah. There's no other gauge.
- 53:49There's no other car. It's not like you could get in
- 53:51another car and feel what that 400 horsepower was feeling like.
- 53:54Ah, man. Yeah, it was.
- 53:56He was doing twelves in 99, so back in and back then like low
- 54:00twelves and 99, maybe fast, I don't know.
- 54:02I gotta ask him again. But I know he was at least going
- 54:04twelves and in 99 when every Honda.
- 54:07Would do a 15 one and we'd think it was like insane on the on the
- 54:10street. Like if you did a 15 one at 9394
- 54:13mph you were like faster than the 16 second guys.
- 54:16That's. So crazy.
- 54:16And this guy was doing 12, so that was fast.
- 54:20That must be a very vivid. Memory.
- 54:23Oh, I will never forget that. There was another guy because
- 54:25you brought up Dsm's. He was really well known.
- 54:28He's still out there now. His name is Frank from Yonkers.
- 54:32He had a teal first Gen. And oh.
- 54:34That's like the very blocky. Yeah, they don't look like the
- 54:37second. Gen.
- 54:38It looks it looks like almost a a A conquest.
- 54:43No, no. Oh, well, yeah, guys can.
- 54:44Buy style Chrysler conquest Was that a?
- 54:47Thing. I don't really know what that
- 54:48is, but. Or an.
- 54:49Eagle Talent, Eagle Talent. That's the one.
- 54:51That's the one. Well, The thing is, there's a
- 54:53bunch of them. Yeah.
- 54:53Eagle Talent and the Mitsubishi Eclipse, First Gen. and 2nd Gen.
- 54:58They always share the platform. Yes.
- 55:00So you had the GSX. Which is the Oval drive Turbo?
- 55:04Uh huh? Or you had the TSI, which is
- 55:06basically a GSX, but it's Eagle Town.
- 55:08Oh. Yeah, everyone loved that first
- 55:10Gen. Eagle talent.
- 55:11I I wanted nothing to do with it.
- 55:13Now why are they? Why are they so fucking
- 55:16unreliable? Because they're Mitsubishi.
- 55:19Yeah. Is that really?
- 55:20Just it, Yeah, with a touch of Chrysler.
- 55:22So I only know, like what the inside of that looks like and
- 55:25like. And this is vaguely because a
- 55:27friend of your Chris, you remember Quinones.
- 55:30Are they are they unreliable? A friend of him.
- 55:32I'll, I'll tell you a friend of mine, because I'm gonna bring up
- 55:35Jeff again, the sleeping guy. A friend of mine had a Talon and
- 55:40like, we just went to go eat somewhere or maybe we went to
- 55:43just hanging out a parking lot or something like that, and the
- 55:46talent just died and I don't think it ever turned on after
- 55:49that, like. That was the last time.
- 55:51He just got the car too, and everything.
- 55:53And to us I was like, damn, this thing is like turboed.
- 55:56It's got like a fucking ball valve and shit.
- 55:59I I had the Integra, so I'm like, what?
- 56:01The fuck is this? And then it died.
- 56:04It just didn't turn on like. And he drove it there.
- 56:06Yeah, honestly. The starter probably was bad.
- 56:08But now what did we do? Our buddy Jeff got in front of
- 56:14What Car were we using to push it?
- 56:16Push it, Chris, Was it an Odyssey?
- 56:18It was an Odyssey, our other friend's Odyssey.
- 56:21So he was sitting on the front of the Odyssey, and he was
- 56:23pushing the Talon, and we were driving the Odyssey.
- 56:28We pushed it home. Well, we pushed it a couple
- 56:29blocks later. Did you guys ever fix it?
- 56:32Fuck if I know, dude. I know it did not start after
- 56:35that. I don't think he sold it or he
- 56:36sold it. See.
- 56:37Boom. Because it didn't start.
- 56:38But like, I don't know what is the what is the issue, What's
- 56:40the Achilles heel here? Is it like the electrical?
- 56:44No, it's just a straight up, the gear running gear.
- 56:48No, it's it's like the quality of the parts I feel.
- 56:50Quality of parts and you just have to have a lot of patience
- 56:52with. Damn.
- 56:53Yeah, like what? Breaks like the injectors.
- 56:56I don't. Even think it's that bad, It's
- 56:57not that bad. Yeah, I don't know, man.
- 56:58Like or yeah, maybe it isn't that bad.
- 57:00Maybe this is the outside looking in.
- 57:02I've never had a DSM. This is my thing.
- 57:04They were definitely not the most reliable cars and you
- 57:07definitely have to have patience with them, but if you're
- 57:10familiar with it or you have a mechanic that is, it's not as
- 57:13bad as you. Think I almost want to relate it
- 57:14to a 240, yeah, but but OK because like if you ask me.
- 57:19I think the 2:40 is the most reliable vehicle on earth.
- 57:21Get the fuck that's. Because I know how to work on
- 57:23it. Yeah, exactly.
- 57:24You know what? I.
- 57:25Mean. OK, yeah.
- 57:25So if if you don't know how to work, then I don't know, maybe
- 57:28it's not good. Like like an example like a ka,
- 57:32like a 240, like a KA240. In my opinion really all you
- 57:36need to put in there is oil. That's what I mean.
- 57:38I've seen people put used gear oil in it, Jesse.
- 57:41Bro, I literally had this single Cam that I was trying to blow
- 57:44up. And they only started knocking
- 57:47and I think it's just because maybe and then when something
- 57:49breaks. It's like some stupid shit.
- 57:51Stupid shit. Yeah, the only difference is the
- 57:53DSM is a transverse setup and we have all-wheel drive.
- 57:56That's even more fucking. Yeah, what about all that stuff
- 57:59under there that Does that stuff break, really?
- 58:01You break axle sometimes or transfer cases I mean.
- 58:03Yeah, I wonder what those. Or or the clutch is definitely
- 58:06annoying to like replace on there because it's a lot of
- 58:08work. I mean, as again, I'm not a
- 58:10mechanic so I'm probably talking shit here.
- 58:11I don't. I don't mind because I just.
- 58:14Yeah. But I like to drive them.
- 58:16Yeah. But you know what's funny?
- 58:20So my my original 8:00 and 9:00, except towards the end if you
- 58:26have a mechanic that doesn't know what they're doing right, I
- 58:30feel like the car becomes unreliable when they start
- 58:33fucking around with shit that that's not right.
- 58:37Well, yeah, I feel like it always is.
- 58:38Like you're making it worse that.
- 58:39You're making it worse and then all of a sudden.
- 58:42Future people have to deal with the problems and there's like,
- 58:44Oh my God, this car sucks. It's so unreliable.
- 58:46But if you have a mechanic and there's a handful of like evil
- 58:49mechanics from back in the day that I would always if I took it
- 58:52to them, I was never worried about the car being unreliable.
- 58:57So and and let me tell you the the way I drove my old cars.
- 59:01No regrets. No.
- 59:02No regrets. No.
- 59:04I beat the shit out. Of them and transmissions.
- 59:08And never blew motor and my old evils ever.
- 59:11Well, actually, knock you I don't want I never blew more
- 59:13than evil, ever. Why don't you just knock on the
- 59:15desk a few times because you still have an EVO?
- 59:17Yeah, yeah, yeah. And and and a friend of mine,
- 59:20Ken Fujimatsu is in the chat. He said crank walk for 2nd.
- 59:22Jim So, so pringing was Oh yeah, so 100% what?
- 59:25Like that's a detrimental failure.
- 59:28Well, that is not just like, you know what I forgot about that.
- 59:31It won't, it won't turn on. It's probably something small.
- 59:33So the crank walk, 7 bolt, 6 bolt, right.
- 59:36Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was definitely a
- 59:38manufacturer defect, 100%, Yeah. But you have it.
- 59:42Yeah. Yeah.
- 59:42And that was definitely unreliable, 100%.
- 59:45And that's something that as if you're buying a car, you should
- 59:49know about. You know, but it's a 7 bold.
- 59:51Or if you're picking up a new engine or something.
- 59:53Yeah, well, now I feel like it's so easy.
- 59:54Like, shit you you guys know I'd be looking at Facebook
- 59:58marketplace and I'll be like, hmm, I could get this Cayenne
- 1:00:01right here, 2004 and then. Go to you to block.
- 1:00:04Facebook. Then you go to YouTube and you
- 1:00:06type in like Cayenne that this is just an example like Cayenne
- 1:00:09issues and it'll be like a buying guide for that car.
- 1:00:12So now I feel like it'd be so easy you.
- 1:00:15Mentioned Cayenne, because what my best friend right now, Danny.
- 1:00:19He picked one up. He bought it for like, I don't
- 1:00:22know, like $2000. Yup, Yup, this is a Cayenne.
- 1:00:25We're. Talking about super, is it an S?
- 1:00:27Yes, it's a non turbo. But it's a V8.
- 1:00:30It's a V8. Yeah, yes.
- 1:00:31Sir. And so he bought it.
- 1:00:32Truck. Yeah.
- 1:00:33Yeah. I fucking hate that thing.
- 1:00:34All right, continue. All right, so he of.
- 1:00:36Course you fucking would, because I like it.
- 1:00:38Thanks but he. Got a dirt?
- 1:00:39Cheap. What's worse than the Porsche?
- 1:00:40A big one. I think that you can look cool
- 1:00:43driving. I don't know, dude.
- 1:00:45If it's not a 9/11, I don't want anything.
- 1:00:46Well, The thing is, he uses it as a towing rig, that's why.
- 1:00:49Yeah, he uses the. It sounds even like a worse
- 1:00:50idea. Okay it.
- 1:00:51Sounds bad, but The thing is, he's so mechanically inclined,
- 1:00:55that's fine. He fixed the things without even
- 1:00:57worrying about it. He was able to source parts for
- 1:00:59dirt cheap, and he's basically in the car for cheap.
- 1:01:03It looks it's a Porsche. You got a brand new in Syria
- 1:01:05because it was all chewed up before.
- 1:01:07I still might do that and he uses as a tool rig.
- 1:01:09I know what the front engine V8. Front engine V8 And mind you,
- 1:01:13I'm going to give you a little history lesson real quick.
- 1:01:16Oh. Great.
- 1:01:18The Cayenne, when they when they made that shit, that engine had
- 1:01:22a lot of R&D in there because during that time they paused
- 1:01:26lemons shit that they were doing.
- 1:01:29Now everybody's going to be like, oh, that's not what they
- 1:01:31did. They paused Lamon shit that they
- 1:01:33were doing to go put the money in, like research into the
- 1:01:36Cayenne. So they were still in race mode
- 1:01:38and they made the Cayenne engine.
- 1:01:40Were they designing that? So that's V That V8 is actually
- 1:01:43very a stout engine. There's there is an Achilles
- 1:01:47heel, there's always an Achilles heel.
- 1:01:48Right in the valley of the V8 there is something called there
- 1:01:51is a like the main coolant starter.
- 1:01:52The no, the main coolant pipe for the it's like a hard line,
- 1:01:56OK, but for some reason Porsche made it with plastic so then it
- 1:01:59deteriorates and you have to replace it.
- 1:02:01With a metal one, but once you replace it with a metal one,
- 1:02:04you're fine. I'm pretty sure Danny replaced
- 1:02:06it. He definitely did.
- 1:02:07It sounds like he he knows what he's doing.
- 1:02:09But that truck, I I love that I'll.
- 1:02:11Stick with my Chevy. But, but what I'm saying is it's
- 1:02:14so easy to like that information right there.
- 1:02:17I feel like I wouldn't have known that unless like I was
- 1:02:18fucking with Porsches when I if I didn't have a phone or access
- 1:02:21to YouTube. So that's why when you found
- 1:02:23when people are finding out that these cars are unreliable, how
- 1:02:27long did that really take? Because like a GSX is kind of.
- 1:02:29New another question too. For forums or I mean forums.
- 1:02:33Yeah, like for you doing your information.
- 1:02:34So forums were definitely a big thing back then.
- 1:02:36OK, yeah, yeah, they were. Definitely AOL was popping.
- 1:02:39Man, let me tell you those groups 99 SII was there was a
- 1:02:42website calledclubsi.com. Oh hell yeah, yeah.
- 1:02:46Or Honda. Show off dot.
- 1:02:47COM, so you know what that is. Well, there was Honda hookup
- 1:02:50B20V tech. Honda Hooker sounds a little.
- 1:02:54Oh, you don't remember? No, that sounds a little weird.
- 1:02:57So it sounds. Great goes to the other hookup
- 1:02:59website. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:00Honda. Hookup Honda Hookup was Spring
- 1:03:03Valley was all. Oh, it was.
- 1:03:04Yeah, there was forums for every street race spot locally.
- 1:03:08Holy. So we used to go in there and
- 1:03:10and set up races on there and then that's pretty, yeah man, it
- 1:03:12was called a Honda hookup. When did the cost get to get
- 1:03:15one? Yeah.
- 1:03:15Right, well. That would be so easy for a cop
- 1:03:17to make a profile or some shit like, hey guys, where are we
- 1:03:20meeting today? We used to be like when someone
- 1:03:23would. And we knew everyone is in
- 1:03:25there. You could kind of tell who the
- 1:03:26who's suspect. Oh really?
- 1:03:27Yeah, because they're like who's.
- 1:03:28The imposter. You guys are playing imposter in
- 1:03:30real life. You remember when the cops would
- 1:03:31show up at the Meats and just like walk around in normal
- 1:03:33clothes? Bro, all the time.
- 1:03:35You know it's crazy because even though.
- 1:03:36You see a gun on him, yeah. Yeah, you know, they're cops.
- 1:03:39They're like, dude, trying to listen in.
- 1:03:40We know you're a fucking cop. You know, there was these cops
- 1:03:45that used to go to Spring Valley, man.
- 1:03:48And they had these, like there was one guy we come lazy eye.
- 1:03:51Oh. Because he had a lazy eye.
- 1:03:53OK, I could get I could guess. Yeah, and these people were
- 1:03:55notorious for all. And you know, I get it, they're
- 1:03:57doing their jobs, but like being really scary on the highway,
- 1:04:00they would call you doing shit. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:02Yeah, because they were just very aggressive, you know,
- 1:04:05allegedly Jesus. Yeah, they have the at
- 1:04:08Edgewater. There would be cops.
- 1:04:10Walking around, yeah. With concealed carry and
- 1:04:12everyone can see it, yeah. Fuck, there's a guy's a cop
- 1:04:16right here. And they were just calling out
- 1:04:17too because there's like 3000 fucking people at Edgewater, you
- 1:04:20remember? Edgewater Yeah, it just takes
- 1:04:21one person to go like. Yo, this guy's a fucking cop,
- 1:04:25right? Literally.
- 1:04:27Yeah. Literally.
- 1:04:28Yeah. Fucking everybody, dude.
- 1:04:31I I I'm not gone to a car meeting.
- 1:04:33I feel like that for me that I like.
- 1:04:37That whole scene kind of is not. I'm sure you can only imagine
- 1:04:41it's probably not what you. Experienced to me what I thought
- 1:04:47me going to car shows and hanging out with my friends at
- 1:04:49car meets and shit, That's not what's going on right now.
- 1:04:51Like, I couldn't even imagine. I couldn't.
- 1:04:53What's going on? I couldn't experience that right
- 1:04:55now if I tried like before where you're just like, Oh yeah, let's
- 1:04:58pull up and we'll see the other cars and shit.
- 1:05:00I feel like I couldn't get that feeling if I tried without going
- 1:05:02to a show, right? Or like something organized
- 1:05:05Milkshake Monday, something like that.
- 1:05:07Well, this is my opinion about like that aspect of of.
- 1:05:11Car culture now, I think that there's definitely groups of
- 1:05:14people that still enjoy it and that wants to like they want
- 1:05:17that action. Yeah, it's just a little bit
- 1:05:20harder because social media makes things so much more
- 1:05:23exposed. At the same time, you get a lot
- 1:05:26of exposure back then it was a lot easier to enjoy it with your
- 1:05:30friends. In a in and I don't want to call
- 1:05:32it a controlled environment, but it was a little bit controlled
- 1:05:34because the whole world didn't know about it.
- 1:05:35You're more isolated. We're more isolated.
- 1:05:37We did it with other people that were there because they liked
- 1:05:41that it was if you know, if you know type of thing, you know,
- 1:05:44like we did it because we were a subculture.
- 1:05:47Whereas now, yeah, it's a subculture, but there's so much
- 1:05:50more exposure to people doing it because they wanted to be known.
- 1:05:54We didn't do it because we want to be known.
- 1:05:55We did it because we wanted to win.
- 1:05:56You know, we we liked the competition we love.
- 1:05:59Like there was people back then that used to race that became
- 1:06:04famous. Now they're famous now, and even
- 1:06:06then they were Ty. Boogie.
- 1:06:08Yeah, well, Ty, I remember when even Ty started, you know, and
- 1:06:10he was just coming out. We see him at the runs.
- 1:06:12He was the only video guy I knew on YouTube.
- 1:06:14I would watch his videos. Like all day?
- 1:06:16Yeah. Well, when I had a Honda.
- 1:06:18His videos. He was the guy that used to make
- 1:06:21the theatrics in his videos, Yeah.
- 1:06:23And it was sick and used to be like, yo, you know, he was, you
- 1:06:26know, his talent for that stuff was really.
- 1:06:27Well, for me, me watching that as somebody would like again, no
- 1:06:31experience at the time. I'm watching this shit.
- 1:06:33I'm like, damn, yeah, they got fastened for years, right?
- 1:06:36They closed the road and everything and I'm like, what
- 1:06:39the fuck? That's real.
- 1:06:40That's like a concept to me, Somebody who wasn't or.
- 1:06:44It was or isn't or any part of that scene.
- 1:06:47I was like, damn. Like that's hardcore as fuck,
- 1:06:50yeah. Like, I remember the first time
- 1:06:51I was involved in one of those situations and I was like, holy
- 1:06:54shit. You ever you ever, You ever
- 1:06:55allegedly have to run away, Frankie.
- 1:06:58Yeah, on from the. Cops.
- 1:07:00Yeah. On foot.
- 1:07:01Oh, on foot. No.
- 1:07:02Yeah. No, I'm talking about in the
- 1:07:03car. Yeah, the Chevy.
- 1:07:05No, no. I want.
- 1:07:09To hear some. Allegedly illegal stuff that
- 1:07:11Frankie. Did I think we talked about this
- 1:07:12once or. I think I talked to you about it
- 1:07:13once, but it wasn't a street race situation at this time.
- 1:07:18But I was, you know, cops just pull you over for no reason.
- 1:07:22I was just driving my 2:40, see a cop turn around.
- 1:07:25This one is not even. I don't even consider this
- 1:07:27running for the cost. But it's just funny.
- 1:07:29So we're like, going over an overpass, right?
- 1:07:31And the cops coming this way. And I see him and I'm like, I
- 1:07:33bet he's going to pull me over for no fucking reason.
- 1:07:35I look at my rearview. He's turning around.
- 1:07:37I was like all right, get on the get on the entrance ramp to
- 1:07:39route 17. I just start going get on route
- 1:07:43entrance trap. I come out the bottom of the
- 1:07:45ramp, I look up, I see the lights coming over the bridge.
- 1:07:47I just get back off the next exit ramp just.
- 1:07:50Go back up and I just. Look over and he's flying down
- 1:07:53the highway. And I was like, OK, that was the
- 1:07:56easiest one. No other times though, probably
- 1:07:59at 59. I feel like after the cars go
- 1:08:02off, everyone is. Like there was this one.
- 1:08:04Time. There was one time I was with a
- 1:08:06buddy. We're like, we were like, we
- 1:08:08were kind of like, like I knew some people at 59, but I didn't
- 1:08:11know. I wasn't like part of the ink
- 1:08:12crowd. I didn't know that many people.
- 1:08:14So me and my buddy would just hang around and we see we we
- 1:08:16would catch a, you know, catch a window.
- 1:08:19What's going on? Be like, OK, they're going to go
- 1:08:20here to the. So we start following all these
- 1:08:23Hondas, dude. It's the biggest group of Hondas
- 1:08:25I ever followed in my entire life.
- 1:08:27There must have been fucking 3040 Honda Civics all cruising
- 1:08:30down 59. We're following them whatever.
- 1:08:33And we're like, in. Spring Valley area, I don't
- 1:08:36really know that well, you know? And they're taking back roads.
- 1:08:40I'm like, where the fuck are these guys going?
- 1:08:41I thought they were going to Bear Mountain or some shit.
- 1:08:44They're taking back roads. We end up in Seven Lakes.
- 1:08:46I was like. Oh.
- 1:08:47Fuck, did we even go to Seven Lakes?
- 1:08:49Oh my God. And I was like, are they going
- 1:08:50to? And I'm like, they're going to
- 1:08:52that fucking straightaway by the lake.
- 1:08:54Well 7. Near Arden Valley.
- 1:08:57OK, so are you guys go to Arden Valley, so.
- 1:08:59Wait a minute. That is a horrible place.
- 1:09:01Yeah, I know where you should be going.
- 1:09:03You know, I know. Destroyed.
- 1:09:04Next to Yeah, yeah, no. But there's a better straight.
- 1:09:07I only know this because one time my buddy brought me there.
- 1:09:09On a plane. Let me finish.
- 1:09:10Story. Go, go, go, go.
- 1:09:12So somehow we found out they were going there and we took a
- 1:09:14wrong turn. So I was like, all right, let's
- 1:09:17let's just go there and whatever we'll we'll we'll see the races.
- 1:09:21So we go there, we go in a little parking lot that's up on.
- 1:09:23Right above it, yes. It's the middle of the night.
- 1:09:26All of a sudden you start here and I'm coming up.
- 1:09:29Could you make a Honda sound? I was.
- 1:09:32About to. Come on, you got.
- 1:09:34It can. I like what going through a
- 1:09:36mountain. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:09:40Just like. Oh, 15 Like they're just fucking
- 1:09:44sitting there with. Many of them, dude.
- 1:09:47And I was like, oh, fuck, is this gonna be it?
- 1:09:49They start, they get to the they get to the circle, right?
- 1:09:53God, I hope I remember this right, dude.
- 1:09:54No, there is a circle right there.
- 1:09:55Yeah, the circle is there. And then it fits in the water,
- 1:09:59it's on the right, the parking lights on the right, yes.
- 1:10:00I don't know if they going to be racing over there.
- 1:10:02No, no, no, no. That's straight away.
- 1:10:03They 100% we're doing that. The the Ranger stations at the
- 1:10:06top. Trust me, they came.
- 1:10:08So they're like, they're like just getting there.
- 1:10:11I think, yeah, they they start setting up and then just sirens
- 1:10:15coming down the street, I was like, oh fuck.
- 1:10:18And then they come from the other side too.
- 1:10:20I would have got in the water, dude.
- 1:10:21These guys are fucked. And we're just sitting there in
- 1:10:23the lot. No one's in the US and we're
- 1:10:25just sitting there like, oh fuck.
- 1:10:26And we're just watching them all fucking shoot out of nowhere.
- 1:10:28They're going, oh, I know what happened.
- 1:10:30They came up okay they this is it.
- 1:10:32The cops came up the back way, not on that street.
- 1:10:35So coming from like. The other part of seven.
- 1:10:38Yeah, they come flying up, sirens on, all of them start
- 1:10:42running. They start flying down that
- 1:10:44street. Now me and my friend are sitting
- 1:10:46up there like, oh fuck, what are we going to do?
- 1:10:48And the cops just chasing down that road, So we just get in the
- 1:10:50car and we go down the road they came from.
- 1:10:52That's not fun, dude. I was like, fuck, dude, we're
- 1:10:54fucked. Like there's so many cops.
- 1:10:57Shit though though. I know.
- 1:10:57I was like, what? Are we doing over?
- 1:10:59Here there, there is a, there's a straightaway that's like
- 1:11:02that's there, you know where West Point is.
- 1:11:04Yeah, Yeah, in that area without without disclosing any.
- 1:11:08More is like you already fucked up.
- 1:11:10You already know where there's this straightaway.
- 1:11:13It's long and like I've never sent a car down it, but.
- 1:11:17My buddy brought me there because he was friends with a
- 1:11:19lot of other bikers and stuff and there was a ZX 10 and like a
- 1:11:24jigs or 1000 or no ZX 14, the big one.
- 1:11:28The big boy. Yeah, and like another bike, but
- 1:11:31just fully pinned 6th gear just and I'm like wow, that was sick.
- 1:11:39It was fucking awesome. Bike shit is scary but but to me
- 1:11:42I'm like damn, this would be a perfect place to.
- 1:11:44Yeah, get a little run in a car. There's a lot of with more metal
- 1:11:47on you so that you're not so exposed.
- 1:11:49But that that straightaway was another damn.
- 1:11:52Like, now I want to see how fast my car will go.
- 1:11:54You need that nitrous. First, I dude.
- 1:11:56Did you guys ever fuck around with nitrous?
- 1:11:58Yeah. Did you ever, ever have that
- 1:11:59experience with Nitrous? Yeah, I had a friend that.
- 1:12:01Was it popping back then like 100% nitrous game like you?
- 1:12:05That's. Nitress was definitely a thing.
- 1:12:07Yeah. People were spraying.
- 1:12:10I mean obviously, like, you know, whether they were hiding
- 1:12:12it or they're not, I had friends that that's what they raised
- 1:12:15that that was their setup. Yeah, you know, bolt ONS and
- 1:12:17Nitro. Hiding it is crazy, I think.
- 1:12:19It's crazy when you get caught. Yeah, I mean, if you're racing
- 1:12:23for money and you're popping your hood and you're trying to
- 1:12:25find it, you know, I had I've. We've caught people trying to
- 1:12:28hide it. What do you say then?
- 1:12:29You're like renegotiate terms, yeah?
- 1:12:31Yeah, but what happens if they win and then you find out?
- 1:12:36Well, is it kind of just like, well, you fucked up because you
- 1:12:37didn't find it? Or is?
- 1:12:39It it depends. Because most of the time it
- 1:12:42depends on the stipulations whether we search, look at the
- 1:12:45car beforehand or after. But after, if if you're after
- 1:12:50and they're not paid, it's going to be a long argument or there's
- 1:12:52going to be drama. Yeah, most people are don't want
- 1:12:55to fight when they go to a street race.
- 1:12:57You know, like no one, everyone wants to go home.
- 1:12:59Yeah, now unless there's money involved that it really gets
- 1:13:03serious and it gets really hairy.
- 1:13:05Which obviously it could and it has.
- 1:13:07But most of the time it's set up in a way that, all right, we
- 1:13:10either check it before or after and it depends on the people.
- 1:13:12So you'll very rarely check it before and then check it again
- 1:13:16after. It's always like you agree on
- 1:13:18the terms. Terms is either we check it
- 1:13:20before and we're good or we check it after and we're good
- 1:13:23and then after then we got to renegotiate.
- 1:13:25I mean, not renegotiate. We got to worry about if the
- 1:13:28payout's going to happen. I mean, there was a lot of times
- 1:13:31that people didn't get paid. You know, how much do you, how
- 1:13:36much do you really want to what you want to be for it?
- 1:13:37You you want to, you know, Yeah, most people wanted to go home,
- 1:13:41you know? But don't get me wrong, you
- 1:13:43know, you never know who's in the other side.
- 1:13:45Or exactly. You know, I could be dealing
- 1:13:47with you as a friend. We could be arguing.
- 1:13:50But you came with someone that nobody knows that is is mad over
- 1:13:54his $40 that he put in the pot on the other side and now he
- 1:13:57wants to cause some beef because of his $40 he put in the pot.
- 1:13:59Yeah, you know, think about it like.
- 1:14:01You're racing for $5000 with 5100 people and people thrown in
- 1:14:0520 or 40. All it takes is for one guy to
- 1:14:07think that he's owed some his money.
- 1:14:09You know, like it's kind of weird, so.
- 1:14:11It is crazy but. It was always for fun, yeah.
- 1:14:14And I. Feel like?
- 1:14:15Allegedly, I feel like you you you definitely did something
- 1:14:17good by like navigating all that energy and like effort into
- 1:14:21Central because you guys started so you started hosting
- 1:14:26Motorsports events mixed with car shows well.
- 1:14:29OK. Even before that, even before
- 1:14:31that. OK.
- 1:14:32Back on the underground. Yeah.
- 1:14:34So Underground started in 2004 and then we didn't really take
- 1:14:39it serious. We kind of like the whole we
- 1:14:41wanted to start like a website and there was no social media.
- 1:14:45I was going to ask, like, what was your outlet?
- 1:14:47So you're just making websites and posting your content on,
- 1:14:49Yeah, pretty much a blog. Yeah, a vlog.
- 1:14:51It was basically a vlog, like the way forums were.
- 1:14:53We wanted to vlog about cars and so it wasn't central yet, it was
- 1:14:58underground. And what messed it up for us was
- 1:15:01Need for Speed Underground came out.
- 1:15:03Damn, everything's dude I was. Thinking the name was sick
- 1:15:05because of that, I was like, that's even cooler.
- 1:15:07Because no, but then it but then it got blown up.
- 1:15:09It got blown up, Yeah. And everyone thought that we
- 1:15:12started it because of Need for Speed.
- 1:15:14Yeah. But we actually thought of it
- 1:15:15before Need for Speed. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:15:18So that messed it up for us. I would.
- 1:15:19Have rolled with it. Yeah, I mean, maybe we should
- 1:15:22have, but you know, at the time I was.
- 1:15:26I guess, you know, I wasn't super serious about starting
- 1:15:28like this brand. I just was excited about it.
- 1:15:31It does. Suck when that shit happens.
- 1:15:32Yeah, and and Edwin at the time was just getting into like
- 1:15:36graphic design and his his career and stuff like that.
- 1:15:39So he was busy. So that when I decided to take a
- 1:15:42step back from all the the street stuff a little bit and
- 1:15:47kind of focus on Central was then what our goal was to really
- 1:15:51just capture like car culture, you know?
- 1:15:54And then Edwin was really big. On the Japanese car culture like
- 1:15:59he was, he, Yeah. No, he was super knowledgeable
- 1:16:01with that stuff. He loves it.
- 1:16:02He's very passionate about it. He's always been like that.
- 1:16:04It's not like he just thought about it recently and now he's
- 1:16:07been doing that since the day I met him back in like the early
- 1:16:092000s. I met him like 2003 or something
- 1:16:11like that. And me, I was just really
- 1:16:15involved with cars here. Like I was always out there
- 1:16:17whether we didn't call it meets back then, You know, we just
- 1:16:20went to the spot, you know, and and I just happened to be in a
- 1:16:24lot of places. I met a lot of people, so.
- 1:16:26We put this idea together that, listen, the way they do it in
- 1:16:28Japan and we just like really love their culture.
- 1:16:32We we should really promote the culture here, you know.
- 1:16:35And it was a subculture without social media at the time, which
- 1:16:39made it cool because it was really like that's why it was
- 1:16:41called underground. Also it was like subcultures
- 1:16:45that the real the public doesn't really know about.
- 1:16:48So then white fest or weak fest, you know.
- 1:16:53Whatever, Yeah. They.
- 1:16:54They. They they made this
- 1:16:57announcement, I'll never forget it.
- 1:16:58And they said, hey, we're gonna do the first show in East Coast
- 1:17:00where we want to promote it. So you know, yeah, cuz this
- 1:17:04stuff. Was kind of happening in
- 1:17:05California too. Oh, 100%.
- 1:17:07I mean like like. Like kind of like all tuner
- 1:17:11culture and JDM. Stuff Tuna culture and the.
- 1:17:13West shit is like they didn't get snow or anything over there
- 1:17:16where that was booming, so like. Their scene over there was like
- 1:17:19super aesthetic. Looking.
- 1:17:21Oh, I loved it, Carl, I'm thinking.
- 1:17:23Clean all the time, like shiny. Like, when did Fatleys come out?
- 1:17:27Oh. Fatleys, that was already, yeah.
- 1:17:29So Fatleys came out around the same time.
- 1:17:32I think they were definitely before us a little bit, OK,
- 1:17:34Because they were already coming out with their, like, I just
- 1:17:36remember looking at fat lace, and I just loved their style.
- 1:17:39Yeah, it was kind of like a lifestyle.
- 1:17:41That was really dope, yeah. And I'm not really like, I'm a
- 1:17:45terrible mechanic, but I'm also a terrible aesthetic guy.
- 1:17:49Like graphic designer or. Yeah, like, I know what I want,
- 1:17:52but I'm not good at talking about.
- 1:17:53It I'm the same way, yeah. So I leave.
- 1:17:55That I rely on graphic struggle right now.
- 1:17:58Yeah, but you know what? You.
- 1:18:00Do I know what I want? Yeah, yeah, but I can't do it.
- 1:18:02And most likely, your idea is probably really good.
- 1:18:06Sometimes, like with the shirts and stuff like that one right
- 1:18:08there, like, I told him what I wanted.
- 1:18:10I was like, I want a Grim Reaper in a casket and I want to be
- 1:18:12drifting. That shit is.
- 1:18:13Dope. And then they drew that and I
- 1:18:14was like, holy shit, you fucking nailed that.
- 1:18:17But that was a vision that you had to give him and then he.
- 1:18:20Yeah, or her, you know, like, yeah, yeah, 100%.
- 1:18:22So that's the way I feel like with me, like I have these
- 1:18:25really dope ideas that I think people would, it would really
- 1:18:28translate well. But I I could never make that.
- 1:18:32I know, yeah. The thing is, we probably could
- 1:18:34if we put our. I'm terrible.
- 1:18:36I feel like we could. Yeah, I'll hold a flashlight.
- 1:18:38I'll hold like a pen and and I'll let the guy because I'm
- 1:18:40really I I overthink everything. Yeah.
- 1:18:44Yeah. The only time I don't overthink
- 1:18:46things is when I drive. It's weird, like, you know, I.
- 1:18:48Say that all the time I black out when I get behind the wheel.
- 1:18:51I don't know. I don't.
- 1:18:51I'm not like thinking about anything.
- 1:18:54If if that's the way you are as a driver, I think the best
- 1:18:56drivers black out. Yeah, just like they.
- 1:18:59I know what you're saying. They just.
- 1:19:00If I if there's something I want to try, though, I'll think about
- 1:19:03it like when I'm sitting there on the line and I'm like.
- 1:19:05All right. Remember, like wider there.
- 1:19:07You know, you might want to ask this to like your people may one
- 1:19:10day or maybe do a podcast like what makes a good driver?
- 1:19:14Because the best drivers in the world like, I not listen.
- 1:19:18I think if you want to be the best at anything, you got to
- 1:19:20believe that you're probably one of the best.
- 1:19:22Like it with anything. Yeah.
- 1:19:24And it's not cocky or confident like like or or or being
- 1:19:27something negative like in that way.
- 1:19:29I think if you want to be great at anything, you have to think
- 1:19:32that you have the potential to be the best of whatever you do.
- 1:19:35Even if you're not right. So like we're driving, whenever
- 1:19:38I get behind the wheel, if it's go karts or if it's fucking drag
- 1:19:41racing or Rd. racing, I'm winning this shit.
- 1:19:43I'm winning it. Like in my mind I already won.
- 1:19:45I'm. Definitely trying that, that's
- 1:19:46exactly. He's not trying, no.
- 1:19:49I'm. Trying.
- 1:19:50I'm winning. Like, in my mind I already won,
- 1:19:51you know, like, and that's, I've always had that confidence.
- 1:19:53It's kind of weird because when I used to race on the street,
- 1:19:56that's when I used to get like that.
- 1:19:57And that's something that I really am thankful for, kind of
- 1:20:01because I think those experiences made me who I am
- 1:20:03today. There's also like a fine line
- 1:20:06there between, like, you know, being confident and then being
- 1:20:10arrogant. You know what I mean?
- 1:20:12Like there's some people out there right now where they're
- 1:20:14like, I'm hot shit right now, like I do.
- 1:20:16Know some of those people? You can't fucking smell my
- 1:20:19fucking shit if you've tried. So those people in my opinion,
- 1:20:24right? I will always be humble about
- 1:20:26what I do, but I know in my mind.
- 1:20:29That I'm that in my mind, I'm going to win.
- 1:20:31I'm going to win, yeah, but I don't need to go and tell that
- 1:20:33to. You.
- 1:20:34No. Yeah.
- 1:20:34And The thing is, the people that are arrogant and stuff,
- 1:20:36they're going to self destruct anyway, so it's not even worth
- 1:20:39worrying about. You know, like, and I know
- 1:20:41arrogant people that are really good what they do, but I don't
- 1:20:46have a problem with it. If they're arrogant and they
- 1:20:49win, but they're still down to earth about it, I don't know if
- 1:20:51that makes sense. Yeah, I kind of get what you're
- 1:20:52saying. I don't know.
- 1:20:53I I just believe that uh. And you're right.
- 1:20:55There's a there's a definitely a border a line of arrogance and
- 1:20:59and just being confidence. Yeah.
- 1:21:02I hope I don't send arrogant No. OK.
- 1:21:04Because I'm not like you. Live this shit.
- 1:21:05It's different. We're talking about like your
- 1:21:07life. Yeah, well.
- 1:21:08I would never and and anyone that knows me personally, I
- 1:21:11don't. I don't need to brag about
- 1:21:13anything because I'm definitely not perfect and I definitely
- 1:21:15have my own struggles with everything.
- 1:21:17But I think the mindset of anyone, like you told me, you
- 1:21:20black out. That means that hopefully it's a
- 1:21:22good blackout. Yeah, I've seen you drive.
- 1:21:24I've seen your videos. Thank you of you drifting.
- 1:21:26And I'll be like, damn that I want to do that one day.
- 1:21:28You could, you could. We'll bring you to an event.
- 1:21:31Oh, I'm down. Yes.
- 1:21:32Carl will let you drive his car. I'll let anybody drive a car.
- 1:21:34I'm down. I love Carl's Carl, you know
- 1:21:36that. My fake.
- 1:21:37If you ever want to sell, let me know.
- 1:21:39That's just Chris. Oh, no.
- 1:21:40No. Carl.
- 1:21:41Chris. You could drive Chris's car.
- 1:21:44Chris I don't know Chris's car. Might the minute you said Carl,
- 1:21:46I was thinking of freaking it get 240 for some reason.
- 1:21:50But yeah, I've asked that to be honest to you.
- 1:21:54When I pulled up, I was going to ask you if you want to sell it.
- 1:21:57So when you said I could drive it, I was thinking about driving
- 1:21:59your car. Yeah, he went right.
- 1:22:01Wrong. I love the IS, yeah, my nephew
- 1:22:03Sean shouted to Sean. He loves your your car too.
- 1:22:07Like he has an is. Thank you he.
- 1:22:08Has an is too. Every is, person is.
- 1:22:10Loves it. Every other is is.
- 1:22:11Yeah, yeah, it's true. You guys have like a little we
- 1:22:14have like Love Fest going. We got I feel like we got a good
- 1:22:17group going out of podcast guests that want to go drift.
- 1:22:21You know what? I mean, what do you want to do?
- 1:22:22Like gather them all again? Like podcast, drip event?
- 1:22:24You should get your drift on you.
- 1:22:26Should do like a YouTube video, like a podcast, people just
- 1:22:29doing a drift event one. Day I'll throw a motherfucking
- 1:22:31stock seat in the IS and fucking let everybody romp that.
- 1:22:34Bitch, Well, I don't think everyone can fit in it.
- 1:22:36Before dude, the seats, kind of small look at Kenny's shoulders.
- 1:22:40He'll get it. It's.
- 1:22:41My belly. It's my belly.
- 1:22:42He'll get that might, but I mean, do you have any future
- 1:22:47visions I guess or or goals that you want to go with Central?
- 1:22:51No, I do Central for fun now, yeah.
- 1:22:53You know you also your your profession by trade.
- 1:22:56Yes, you're a realtor. Yes, and.
- 1:22:58It looks like you're doing super real, super really like, nice
- 1:23:00out there. Well, how's how's that going?
- 1:23:03So it's going well. It's going well.
- 1:23:06I love what I do. And you know, it's kind of
- 1:23:09weird. Like the mindset I talked about
- 1:23:10about driving, the mindset I talked about, like when I used
- 1:23:13to feel like when I race, I had a mentor that when I got first,
- 1:23:17got my license, he said. If I could, if you could be the
- 1:23:19same Kenny. That he used to look up to
- 1:23:22because he's a little younger than me.
- 1:23:23He used to watch me race on the street years ago, and he used to
- 1:23:25say if that's the same Kenny, the way I should see you on the
- 1:23:28street, but you're a realtor, you'd be successful.
- 1:23:30So I apply the same type of confidence, the same type of
- 1:23:34mindset about, you know, I like winning and it's really
- 1:23:39transformed my business. Like, I go in, I don't worry
- 1:23:42even if there's things to worry about.
- 1:23:44I just get it done, you know, and so.
- 1:23:47That's why I talk about no regret and I'm thankful for
- 1:23:49stuff. So with real estate, yeah,
- 1:23:53there's a lot of success that I want to achieve.
- 1:23:55So I wouldn't call my success, call myself successful, but I am
- 1:23:58thankful that I'm busy. So I am busy.
- 1:24:02I'm helping people. My goal is not about looking at
- 1:24:06the money. My success is really about
- 1:24:09helping people. And it sounds cliche, I know,
- 1:24:11but when you help people and I get a text or I'm helping a
- 1:24:14client buy or sell and you know. Yesterday I was July 4th.
- 1:24:20I went to a friend's house who was actually a client and I met
- 1:24:24him and his family because I helped him buy buy a house and I
- 1:24:29invited me over. So we spent July 4th and at
- 1:24:34least four other couples that were there were all people that
- 1:24:38I helped buy a house. So I brought my wife over and
- 1:24:41and you know, she was asking me because she knew some of them
- 1:24:43and she'd know everyone. I was like, oh, did you help
- 1:24:45them? Did you help them?
- 1:24:46And I'm looking at them as they're going around with their
- 1:24:49kids. And so some of them didn't yet
- 1:24:53have kids when I when they bought the house.
- 1:24:55Yeah, the house was the 1st. Thing.
- 1:24:57So they got married or maybe they were engaged.
- 1:24:59There was one that was engaged. It was one that was married.
- 1:25:02And some of them didn't have kids yet.
- 1:25:03Now they got kids and I walked. See them walking around and
- 1:25:07inside it's. I don't know.
- 1:25:09It's hard to describe, but it just feels so good.
- 1:25:12Yeah, that I feel like I'm a part of like.
- 1:25:15You know, helping them get you. Enabled them to.
- 1:25:17Create a. Start that chapter.
- 1:25:19I was just a part of it, like it.
- 1:25:20And then, you know, I'm thankful that they trusted me and we got
- 1:25:23it done. That's my favorite part.
- 1:25:25You know, I got a client right now selling her house, her and
- 1:25:28her husband, and they the husband is so attached to the
- 1:25:32house because he invested so much time.
- 1:25:34He's meticulous with the house and he knows everything about it
- 1:25:37that he's doesn't want to sell it because.
- 1:25:38Building a car. That's Frankie.
- 1:25:40Exactly, yeah. It's like building a car and
- 1:25:42becomes your baby. And so the wife, you know, it's
- 1:25:45time for them to definitely move on.
- 1:25:47The kids are now grown. They're out of the house.
- 1:25:49And the wife always tells me, can you know, with her husband
- 1:25:53if I could just always be mindful of when there's people
- 1:25:57viewing the house or the inspector because the buyer had
- 1:26:00a home inspector there, just if you could be present just to
- 1:26:02make sure that he's comfortable. And she will text me.
- 1:26:06She texted me right before July 4th or the day before.
- 1:26:08And she said, you know, I just want to thank you.
- 1:26:10Like it's almost emotional how? The husband is not even that
- 1:26:15worried. I mean, he's always a little
- 1:26:16worried, but he's actually looking forward to the next
- 1:26:18step. And to me, like it sounds kind
- 1:26:22of kind of. I hate that.
- 1:26:23It sounds cliche, but I really, really enjoy it.
- 1:26:26So that's awesome. I mean, I'm glad to see someone
- 1:26:29that enjoys their their career like that.
- 1:26:31I love. It that's just important.
- 1:26:32Damn, Frankie, What are you trying to say?
- 1:26:34That's. I mean, I love it.
- 1:26:36You get you're getting me choked up just hearing about this.
- 1:26:38Well. Listen, you guys, right, so.
- 1:26:40There's this video I always watched.
- 1:26:42It's on YouTube when I was going through really a really rough
- 1:26:45time in my life financially with a job, with a lot of stuff and I
- 1:26:49even outplayed and it got it got to the point where I could
- 1:26:53almost mouth the whole video word for word.
- 1:26:58But when I watched the video on YouTube, the words ring true and
- 1:27:02there's what this one phrase he says where if you could find
- 1:27:06what you do for a living, but but.
- 1:27:09You, you apply to what you love. So like you guys love cars,
- 1:27:12right? So like you come here and and
- 1:27:14obviously you're going to run through struggles or or because
- 1:27:16it's a business, right? Ups and downs, roller coaster
- 1:27:19stuff. But if you can maintain what you
- 1:27:22love while doing it, that will keep you on track, right?
- 1:27:27So like with real estate, my mentor, when he told me if I
- 1:27:31could see the same Kenny that used to like I used to look up
- 1:27:33to when he was out there talking shit to people and then racing
- 1:27:36and winning. Some people Remember Me, and
- 1:27:38that's the way I remember myself like that.
- 1:27:40But it was more than just winning, it was like a mindset.
- 1:27:43So I wanted to apply that to real estate and that's why the
- 1:27:47whole racing realtor became like a joke at first.
- 1:27:49I know, Yeah, that's how I. I don't even know about.
- 1:27:52This this is like the. Kenny, aka the Racing.
- 1:27:54Realtor. Is that just what your friends
- 1:27:55say or is? That like, it started as a joke
- 1:27:57with my friends because I used to go with my cars.
- 1:28:00The viewings, I had a type RI didn't have the evil anymore.
- 1:28:03And they used to be like, Oh yeah, you would you, the racing
- 1:28:05realtor. But I was always trying to work
- 1:28:08on this mindset that to really love what I did.
- 1:28:12And so I tie in cars and my passion with cars into real
- 1:28:18estate. I don't know if that makes
- 1:28:19sense, but so, like, okay. No, no, no.
- 1:28:21Your same passion, The same drive.
- 1:28:23The same drive. I mean, that part Frankie
- 1:28:24doesn't understand because I have a you don't.
- 1:28:28You're different. You you are living that you just
- 1:28:31don't. Know I'm living the car dream.
- 1:28:32You just don't know. You just don't know it.
- 1:28:34Like you love two 40s. You love cars, but not
- 1:28:37specifically just two 40s, but you love cars.
- 1:28:39I don't keeps you, yeah. In the building?
- 1:28:42Yeah. Aside from the fact that if you
- 1:28:44leave here, you're going to jail.
- 1:28:45Wait. What?
- 1:28:47But I like go to jail though. I don't know.
- 1:28:49I'm just gonna assume everything you do nowadays, it gets you to.
- 1:28:52Jail St. Drift that night.
- 1:28:53Yeah, now I'm gonna start drag raising.
- 1:28:54But like the the cars and shit you like cars keeps you here.
- 1:28:59Yeah. That's what keeps you on.
- 1:29:00Track well, I mean I think I like why do you think more
- 1:29:03before I that. Well, so I understand that part
- 1:29:06because now. It becomes like Chris definitely
- 1:29:08like cars more before he. Well, that's because.
- 1:29:10So it's funny because I have a really good friend that's
- 1:29:12mechanic and like, your demeanor kind of reminds me now.
- 1:29:16And the more you talk about him, I have my game.
- 1:29:18Reminds me of my boy. Yeah, because my boy loves cars.
- 1:29:22And then he became mechanic. He did it for a living.
- 1:29:24And you know, when you work on cars all day, no matter how much
- 1:29:27you love it. It becomes a pain in the ass,
- 1:29:29yeah. And like, you might lose that
- 1:29:31passion sometimes because it becomes work.
- 1:29:33So it's like a balance, bro. But everything's mindset.
- 1:29:37Yeah, it is mindset. Chris gets reignited sometimes
- 1:29:39to see it. Happen.
- 1:29:40I mean, like the only reason why I sit behind a maybe not the
- 1:29:43only reason, but like good chunk of why I am able to sit behind
- 1:29:47the desk all day is because I'm like, yeah, that one J is going
- 1:29:51to be sick and then I'm back there typing away.
- 1:29:54No, I mean, I get what you're saying with the confidence.
- 1:29:56Though oh, OK, so you. Need to have that drive though.
- 1:29:58You use the drive somewhere else.
- 1:30:00So besides my family, right? Besides, I don't even think
- 1:30:04about the money. Like when I'm doing deals, I
- 1:30:06don't think about my money. I don't count my money unless
- 1:30:10I'm putting into the system to like, just get an idea of what's
- 1:30:12what's projected for the business side.
- 1:30:15But I don't think about the money, but I do think about.
- 1:30:19Cars. So I think about the mods I want
- 1:30:22to do, the events I want to go to, if I want to buy a car, and
- 1:30:26that's my motivation. So I'll be like, damn, man, I'm
- 1:30:28losing my motivation here. I mean, obviously I got to pay
- 1:30:29for my bills and my family, but damn, I mean, to be honest, I
- 1:30:33want to buy Chris's S13, so. The day he tells me to study.
- 1:30:36Right. Because you know, I love it.
- 1:30:38Like, yeah, I love, I love your car.
- 1:30:40I'm definitely going to get S13 Coupe one day.
- 1:30:43So you know, that's my motivation.
- 1:30:45I'm going to get like a 57 bill. I'm going to go drifting.
- 1:30:48So, but it will cost money, yeah.
- 1:30:51So I mean, I feel like, I feel like it's almost better the way
- 1:30:54you have it right now because like, I mean, we could just use
- 1:30:57me as an example, but I'm not working in the shop all day.
- 1:31:00I'm just doing everything else. But my car has been sitting
- 1:31:04there for two years. I have like almost 0.
- 1:31:06Drive. I thought it was longer than
- 1:31:07that. Hold on a minute.
- 1:31:08Wait, yeah, it's been longer. Than it's three in September
- 1:31:13who's counted how many days? I got like almost no drive to to
- 1:31:17work on that car. The only driver have to work on
- 1:31:19that car is Carl. Annoying me every week.
- 1:31:22And then honestly now podcast people wanting me to see if.
- 1:31:27I want to see it now. Yeah, do it for yourself.
- 1:31:29I have no interest. Well, fuck, do it for everybody
- 1:31:32else then. There you go.
- 1:31:34Yeah, like it's going to be cool when it's together.
- 1:31:37Mostly because we can use that space for work, yeah.
- 1:31:40That's your goal, Yeah, Yeah, but.
- 1:31:44Yeah, so hearing you talk about cars and mods and stuff like
- 1:31:47that, I'm like, damn, that sounds kind of cool.
- 1:31:48I think you just need to fire it up once like cuz cuz.
- 1:31:52There, don't be wrong. I like drifting.
- 1:31:54Like, I'm gonna, I'm gonna enjoy it.
- 1:31:55Yeah, but I'm that initial like push to really get it going.
- 1:32:00It's just like. I feel like there that's like
- 1:32:02there's like woes with that though like there's highs and
- 1:32:05lows, there's motivators and there's opposite of motivators,
- 1:32:10but like. You know, like you you you drive
- 1:32:14one car or you you go sit in another thing like even like
- 1:32:18seeing the Type R outside. I'm, I'm sitting there.
- 1:32:20I'm looking at it. I'm like, damn, this thing is
- 1:32:22clean as shit. Yeah, like motivator, let me go
- 1:32:24home and clean my shit. Yeah, so that I don't have to
- 1:32:27buy a Type R. You know what it is.
- 1:32:28It's a you. Don't need to buy one though.
- 1:32:30Yes bro. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:32:32It's just like it's like a it's a project, you know what I mean?
- 1:32:35Like it's a lot of work, so every time you see it, you're
- 1:32:37like once you get to a certain point in the project then.
- 1:32:42You get excited. My point, my point in the
- 1:32:44project is always when stuff is painted, right.
- 1:32:47So when the engine Bay is painted, then it's going to go
- 1:32:50like nothing, because I'm going to, I'm going to want to see it
- 1:32:52come together, right? But when it, you know, when
- 1:32:54you're doing all the fabrication and everything, you're like,
- 1:32:57dude, like you can't see it, you know what I mean?
- 1:33:00So you're just like. Now that you said that.
- 1:33:03Talk to your boy, Ethan, cuz he's the one that.
- 1:33:04He's a busy guy. He got a life too.
- 1:33:06I talked to him, I hope. He hears this because I'm tired
- 1:33:09of backing his ass every time I back even up.
- 1:33:12I'm like, he's a busy guy. I know he's a busy guy.
- 1:33:14Ethan knows he's got to come here, man.
- 1:33:16We talked about on Sunday, He's like.
- 1:33:18He I. Was like, you want to come here?
- 1:33:20Actually, he was supposed to be here today but forgot to talk to
- 1:33:22him. I was there.
- 1:33:23Are you working on your car? He's like, yeah, I'm going to
- 1:33:25work on my car on Monday. This and that.
- 1:33:26I was like, all right, fine, cuz your car needs get done too.
- 1:33:29So. This car is going to be done
- 1:33:31before yours. Definitely.
- 1:33:35You're going to get abducted by an alien before your car gets
- 1:33:38done. It might happen, and then it'll
- 1:33:39never happen again. If we keep talking about them on
- 1:33:42these podcasts. That happened to me the.
- 1:33:44Aliens are going to Oh yeah, that.
- 1:33:45Happened to me. I'm going to talk about this on
- 1:33:46the. Podcast.
- 1:33:47That's a weird story. Yes.
- 1:33:48Tell us. The other night, the other
- 1:33:49night, I'm sitting there. I have this little sunroom.
- 1:33:52For those of you who are listening right now, who are not
- 1:33:54into the alien thing, just know there's going to be a quick
- 1:33:56tangent I'll get right back to. I think every single person that
- 1:33:59Listens podcast wants to hear more about aliens than cars.
- 1:34:02I want to hear about. It That's cuz we're all aliens.
- 1:34:04Hey. It was the aliens planet first,
- 1:34:07probably was. And then they're like what the
- 1:34:09hell are these guys doing here? The.
- 1:34:10Creators. But anyway, so I'm sitting in
- 1:34:13this little sunroom. That's where I have my computer
- 1:34:14and my little streaming set up. If you haven't tuned into my
- 1:34:16stream, I'm gonna plug it right here.
- 1:34:18Call from faction at Twitch, Check it out.
- 1:34:20I have stream, car wrecks and a settle.
- 1:34:22Anyway, I'm playing or I'm on my computer and like, I have
- 1:34:26headphones on and like, I shouldn't be able to hear
- 1:34:30anything. And then like.
- 1:34:31The whole room, like, was like not shaking, but like you could
- 1:34:37hear a noise audibly through your feet that makes sense, you
- 1:34:42know, vibrating or something, not vibrating, but you know,
- 1:34:45something's like resonating sound.
- 1:34:48So then I like, do one of these, take the headphones.
- 1:34:51You know, I'm like, I'm like, is that is that this video I'm
- 1:34:54watching, like, what the fuck is going on?
- 1:34:55And then it wasn't so immediately I I think of all of
- 1:34:59my friends, Frankie. Alex, Ethan, Malcolm, Chris, I
- 1:35:04don't know if you're into the whole Alien thing as much as we
- 1:35:06are right now, but I think of all of you, mind you.
- 1:35:09So if I did get in trouble, just know it was only because of how
- 1:35:14much curiosity you guys have sparked in.
- 1:35:15Did you think you were getting abducted?
- 1:35:17No, I wanted to see this thing like, and that's not me.
- 1:35:20That's not me. That's not me.
- 1:35:21You know this. So you took the headphones?
- 1:35:23Off. So I took the headphones off.
- 1:35:24I had a flashlight on my desk. I went to the my front door went
- 1:35:27outside. Look at all the streaming guests
- 1:35:29that you were. I wasn't streaming at the time.
- 1:35:31I was. I think it was kind of late,
- 1:35:33too. It was like midnight or maybe
- 1:35:34past midnight. That's when they come and like I
- 1:35:36was and I and I'm, I'm walking outside.
- 1:35:38I'm, I'm looking around. I'm like, what the fuck is
- 1:35:41making this noise? Like it's sounded.
- 1:35:44Outside and it's still happening and.
- 1:35:45It's still making the noise. It sounded like a plane, but
- 1:35:48there were no planes. Insight.
- 1:35:50Not a single plane, dude. And then like, and then I'm.
- 1:35:54So you saw how you saw how fast these messages?
- 1:35:56I'm texting this group chat because I'm like, God forbid
- 1:35:58something crazy about it having right now.
- 1:36:00I need somebody else to know. Real.
- 1:36:02Time. Real time what's going on?
- 1:36:05Like a like I send a message like HEL send it would help me
- 1:36:10but like I'm walking around and I'm like, what the fuck is this
- 1:36:14is this noise like And it was there for a few seconds.
- 1:36:16Wait wait wait. This is on 4th of July.
- 1:36:19No, not like that. Not that kind of noise.
- 1:36:22That kind of noise, all right, It was a long.
- 1:36:24It was a. Drone or.
- 1:36:25Something dude. No shaking the ground.
- 1:36:28We say you're outside. I'm outside now and it's make it
- 1:36:30now. The noise is it's clearly
- 1:36:32louder. I was outside and I was like,
- 1:36:33what the how? Loud is it?
- 1:36:35Like I'm telling you, if I had to compare it, it was like if up
- 1:36:39if a plane was landing of like. Landing.
- 1:36:42Like, you know how it's like, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:36:45The point. There's no way it was that.
- 1:36:47Loud. It was loud, bro.
- 1:36:48You're telling me I have my headphones on?
- 1:36:51OK, I'm watching YouTube videos. I have two screens.
- 1:36:54So I was watching a TV show and I'm watching a YouTube video on
- 1:36:57my headphones that Chris politely lent me like they're
- 1:37:01big headphones like this and I had to have felt it because I'm
- 1:37:05checking it. How long has it been happening
- 1:37:07at this? Point.
- 1:37:08It happened one time. Don't tell.
- 1:37:09Me. No.
- 1:37:10I mean, like, how long? This whole thing happened
- 1:37:12within. This whole thing happened within
- 1:37:1330 seconds because I I was there, this, I was there.
- 1:37:16I'm checking. It's it's making the noise.
- 1:37:18It's it's like loud. And then I run outside.
- 1:37:21I grab flashlight, run outside. I'm looking around few more, at
- 1:37:26least a few more seconds, and it's like 5 seconds from my
- 1:37:28little sunroom to the door. So like 30 seconds worth of
- 1:37:31noise. And the whole time, like the
- 1:37:33whole time whoosh like all my fucking arm, like all the hair
- 1:37:37on my body, like stood up. Like I was a plane, Carl.
- 1:37:40No, it wasn't. No, you said 30 seconds.
- 1:37:43It was too loud. I'm thinking it's a plane now.
- 1:37:45I don't know. I would have seen it.
- 1:37:47You see, by my house, I could see straight into the sky.
- 1:37:50I don't know. And it was like loud, like above
- 1:37:53me. Like not, not like here, or over
- 1:37:56there, or here, no. Lights or anything though.
- 1:37:58No, OK. Did the noise just stop?
- 1:38:00And the sky was. Clear or did it fade away?
- 1:38:03This the noise stopped like it went stopped like it was loud.
- 1:38:08It didn't soar away like a plane bro.
- 1:38:11It it it like like it. It didn't soar away like a
- 1:38:15plane. It didn't just like.
- 1:38:18Yeah, like it. Did it do that?
- 1:38:20No, it was like a it was maybe, I don't know.
- 1:38:23I went inside. You wouldn't remember if it did
- 1:38:25that I. Started to freak out a little
- 1:38:26bit because every hair on my arm like.
- 1:38:28All the hair on my. And then it just turned off.
- 1:38:30Every hair on my body was like, up.
- 1:38:32So I was like, you know what? It's nothing.
- 1:38:34I'm gonna go back inside and text the guy.
- 1:38:36Dude, they're listening to the podcast.
- 1:38:37I'm fucked for you. I'm fucked.
- 1:38:38Yeah, they're definitely listen. Right now I was so scared.
- 1:38:40That's gotta be what it is. But yeah, no, that happened.
- 1:38:43That happened a shit, you know it was late at.
- 1:38:44Night on a scale from 1:00 to 10:00.
- 1:38:45How scared. Were you?
- 1:38:46I was like, like, like like the haunted house is like a 10.
- 1:38:51Oh my God, you should have seen this poor guy when we brought
- 1:38:53him to a haunted house. Oh, you.
- 1:38:54Oh my. Was the haunted house A10?
- 1:38:56Because then I'm gonna say like a yes, seven.
- 1:38:59OK, Because I'm. I'm telling you, like, I started
- 1:39:01to get, like, weird feelings. I'm like, maybe I should
- 1:39:04actually not do this and go back inside and mind my own business,
- 1:39:09Mind you. Could you go to sleep?
- 1:39:10Huh. Were you scared to go to sleep?
- 1:39:13No, not that scared. See, I'm scared of aliens.
- 1:39:16Are you it's? Just doesn't happen like that to
- 1:39:17me. And I really didn't think it was
- 1:39:18plain yeah, I wouldn't have went to sleep that night.
- 1:39:21I would be scared too, yeah. I would.
- 1:39:23It's the fact Frankie got me scared of him because.
- 1:39:25I watch too many movies. Yeah, you don't really know
- 1:39:27what's real right now. So you're like, which one of
- 1:39:30these stories is it? Like, who was the one who was
- 1:39:33telling us a story about the the one running next to them?
- 1:39:40Damian. Damian.
- 1:39:42Yeah, when he was on tour we had our other friend from car shop
- 1:39:45Karoshi that we met on here, Damian, and he said that there
- 1:39:49was a. He didn't even like talking
- 1:39:51about it cuz he was like this sounds insane, like a wet.
- 1:39:53Skin Walker Type of figure running in the field at the same
- 1:39:57speed as the bus. Yeah, he said they were driving
- 1:40:00a bus, they were on tour, something like that.
- 1:40:01And then he said he looked over and he saw like something
- 1:40:04running or figure like in the in like the.
- 1:40:08It was kind of like a cornfield, right?
- 1:40:09Yeah, Yeah, yeah. Like a cornfield.
- 1:40:10Like running, he said he he said he felt like it was running the
- 1:40:13same speed as the truck was going.
- 1:40:15He said he woke up the guy next to him to look and he confirmed
- 1:40:19he's like, yeah, what is that? And they're all freaking out.
- 1:40:21Also someone. Else was that, That's what I'm
- 1:40:23saying. That's what I was doing with the
- 1:40:24group chat. I was kind of hoping like if
- 1:40:26something did happen, I would be like, yo.
- 1:40:30You have like, sucking me up. That's your.
- 1:40:32Story bro. Like.
- 1:40:33I. Know it was quick.
- 1:40:35It's quick. It's, it's mainly, I was mainly
- 1:40:36doing it there for liability purposes, yeah, yeah.
- 1:40:39They're coming. They're coming, though.
- 1:40:41They're coming. How do you like?
- 1:40:43You ever like have you? Because you sell a bunch of
- 1:40:47different houses, not just like new houses or any specific
- 1:40:50category like you got old houses.
- 1:40:51And I seen this. Stuff.
- 1:40:52What's the weirdest thing you've ever seen?
- 1:40:54This is a true story. This is before I became realtor
- 1:40:57though, so before I became a realtor.
- 1:40:59So I started Central, right? Yeah.
- 1:41:01And when I was doing Central back in the early like 2010,
- 1:41:042011, 2012, I was doing a lot of the photos.
- 1:41:07So I was a photographer. So back then I was involved with
- 1:41:11like some flipping of homes, you know?
- 1:41:13And I would take photos of the homes.
- 1:41:15And when I was taking photos, I would start working with
- 1:41:18Realtors. So I was working with this one
- 1:41:21Realtor and he didn't like to go to the properties with me.
- 1:41:23So he'd say, listen, go here. The seller is going to meet you
- 1:41:27at the door and they're going to, you're just going to do the
- 1:41:28photos, but whatever. So there was this one house
- 1:41:31where he said, listen, it's vacant, but there's multiple
- 1:41:35properties on this property. I mean, multiple homes in this
- 1:41:38property is the main house and then there's these two smaller
- 1:41:41houses and there's tenants living in the two small house,
- 1:41:44but the main house is vacant. So he's like, listen, you got to
- 1:41:47take pictures of main house. So I was like, all right, cool,
- 1:41:49whatever. Yeah.
- 1:41:51So I got kind of already laughing now.
- 1:41:52So I'm like, what's about that happen here?
- 1:41:54This is a true story. I don't know what it was, but I
- 1:41:58know it really happened. So I get there and I see the two
- 1:42:02houses and I see the lights on some people at home.
- 1:42:05But I got to go to the main house.
- 1:42:06And the main house, there's this dumpster in front of the garage
- 1:42:09because they were doing work and it was unlocked.
- 1:42:13The house is unlocked, right? So the main house was a distance
- 1:42:17away from the other small houses.
- 1:42:19So it's not like, you know, the neighbors could see me going in.
- 1:42:22They probably weren't even paying attention.
- 1:42:24Yeah. And so I get out of my car, I
- 1:42:30walk to the front door. And I remember you got to walk
- 1:42:31up this little hill to the front door.
- 1:42:33You got to walk around. It's almost walking to the back
- 1:42:35of the house because the front of the house faces like this
- 1:42:37small pond. It was a big property.
- 1:42:40It was, it was a multimillion dollar like property.
- 1:42:43And so I opened the door and I'm by myself, mind you, you.
- 1:42:47Bugging for that already. Yeah, yeah, I was already
- 1:42:49scared. I'm not going to lie.
- 1:42:50I was really scared because I never.
- 1:42:52Was it? What time was it?
- 1:42:53It was the afternoon, so probably like four or five,
- 1:42:55o'clock. It was still sunny, but it was
- 1:42:57like the sun was starting to come down.
- 1:42:58It wasn't as bright. And I opened this door and never
- 1:43:02forget it. And as you open the door, the
- 1:43:04whole interior was gutted, so there was nothing in there.
- 1:43:07It was like, you see the wood, you see the studs.
- 1:43:10But it's this huge house. So I opened the door.
- 1:43:13I walk in, sorry. And as I walk in, I feel like
- 1:43:18like something weird. Like like like you feel like
- 1:43:20you're not alone. Malcolm Malcolm's freaking out
- 1:43:25already. Yeah, he got Malcolm already got
- 1:43:27goosebumps. All right, so check this out.
- 1:43:29And This is why it gives me goosebumps thinking about it,
- 1:43:31because yeah. That's how you know it fucked
- 1:43:32you up it. Fucked me up, yeah.
- 1:43:34And I never went back. And that's holding my client.
- 1:43:36I'm like, well, listen, like they they got mad because it was
- 1:43:38fucking out. But I told him, I said, listen,
- 1:43:40I felt something in there, So I opened the door.
- 1:43:42I go inside. I could feel like something's
- 1:43:43wrong and it felt like there was something around my head, like
- 1:43:47almost like it was pressing like a weight.
- 1:43:49And it didn't feel like a wait. It felt like someone.
- 1:43:51It didn't feel like hands. It just felt like a pressure was
- 1:43:53like on my head. Yeah, like I was like, what the
- 1:43:56fuck? Yeah, like if I just go up to
- 1:43:59you and I just start pushing your head.
- 1:44:00Yeah, but it didn't feel like hands.
- 1:44:01It didn't feel like hands. It just felt like this pressure
- 1:44:03was on my head and the fucking door slams behind me, bro.
- 1:44:08The fucking door sleds by. Well, it could have been the win
- 1:44:10me, me. I would be like it.
- 1:44:12Could have been win. So that was the win.
- 1:44:13I would say it was the win, except that this pressure gives
- 1:44:16me. I get goosebumps thinking about
- 1:44:17it because I still remember like, it was yesterday.
- 1:44:19The pressures felt like something was trying to, like,
- 1:44:22hurt me. Yeah, you know, like, it felt
- 1:44:24like my head was like they were trying to like.
- 1:44:26They didn't give you one minute to walk around in.
- 1:44:27That house? No.
- 1:44:28I walked in and within 30 seconds I felt something weird.
- 1:44:31I left the door open in purpose because I felt like something
- 1:44:33was weird. And the minute I felt this
- 1:44:35little pressure in the door slam, I just fucking ran the
- 1:44:37fuck out. Holy.
- 1:44:40I would have been so fucking gone.
- 1:44:42And I took pictures of the exterior because my I was there
- 1:44:45for work, Yeah. And then nothing.
- 1:44:48In interior. I saw my client.
- 1:44:49Listen, I mean. What are they gonna do with the
- 1:44:50interior photos anyway? Square footage.
- 1:44:53Rough, rough estimate. Of renovations.
- 1:44:55And stuff. He was not happy, but that was a
- 1:44:57true story. So I definitely believe that
- 1:44:59there's. And I'm a Christian, so you
- 1:45:02know. But I also believe that whether
- 1:45:04it's aliens or whether it's demons or whatever.
- 1:45:06That was a demon. 100% it was a demon, Yeah, because you know,
- 1:45:10that was 100%, you know, God knows the line.
- 1:45:15That was a real situation. And I still get goosebumps.
- 1:45:19I'm a big ghost believer. I get.
- 1:45:21I'm pretty much a demon believer too.
- 1:45:23I'm not religious, but I kind of do believe in that stuff.
- 1:45:25I got like a I always get like weird feelings that like.
- 1:45:29I'll be home alone. And like, I don't really have a
- 1:45:31problem being home alone. But like, I'll just be like
- 1:45:34doing something like going up the stairs and then in my mind
- 1:45:37like, I'll like, look from here to there.
- 1:45:39And in in my head there's something like right here.
- 1:45:42And I'm like, yeah, who? What was that?
- 1:45:43And I'll just, I'm constantly like, fucking.
- 1:45:45I feel like that's psychological.
- 1:45:47Yeah, that's just me being crazy.
- 1:45:49Well, not crazy. But I got another quick story.
- 1:45:51All right, go, Because it's a true story too.
- 1:45:53So. I could do this all night.
- 1:45:54Yeah. All right.
- 1:45:55So this is actually because you reminded me about this one.
- 1:45:58So my next door neighbor that I grew up with, So my parents
- 1:46:01house that the next door neighbor was this guy and his
- 1:46:04wife, they were they were old in us, obviously elderly.
- 1:46:07The wife died in the house. Now she died of, I think it was
- 1:46:12old age or whatever, but she used, she was sick for a long
- 1:46:15period of time, dementia and she said they put her bed in the
- 1:46:18dining room so that she could look out the window because
- 1:46:21that's that gave her peace. And she died in the house.
- 1:46:25So years later, my, my mom's friend comes by the house and as
- 1:46:31she's pulling up in the driveway, she told my mom, she
- 1:46:33goes, oh, that Lady was so nice. And my mom was like, what lady?
- 1:46:37She goes, oh, there was a lady that was, you know, wearing a
- 1:46:39white dress sitting on the steps in front of the next door.
- 1:46:42And she described her, and they described my neighbor because
- 1:46:46she was like a heavyset lady, white, a heavyset lady.
- 1:46:49But we knew that she passed away.
- 1:46:50That the only guy in there was the husband.
- 1:46:52No one. There was no lady in there.
- 1:46:54But to this day and and my mother's friends still later
- 1:46:57like that's what I mean. She's still alive.
- 1:46:59So like maybe I should go ask her if the if the if just to
- 1:47:03verify the the. Information.
- 1:47:05Because I asked her years ago, she said yeah, so the lady.
- 1:47:07But now I feel like I should ask her again.
- 1:47:08Should. Ask her if she if that happens
- 1:47:11to her often because maybe she's like a media.
- 1:47:14Maybe this might be her. So yeah, it's kind of weird.
- 1:47:16Maybe it is her. You know what I mean?
- 1:47:18Like a medium. So we could talk.
- 1:47:20Yeah, like. Well, you know.
- 1:47:21Some people can see. 100. Percent pass the veil.
- 1:47:23Yeah, And see, like maybe that happens to her.
- 1:47:26Often. Oh, you know what?
- 1:47:27I'm gonna ask her. Yeah.
- 1:47:29She's no. Maybe she doesn't even know.
- 1:47:31No. Well, The thing is, my mom was
- 1:47:33just talking about her a couple of days ago.
- 1:47:37That's terrifying Snow. So, like, God damn it, no,
- 1:47:39because she's she's getting ready to sell her house.
- 1:47:41So. It came up, Hey, there we go.
- 1:47:43Yeah. But like, imagine being like
- 1:47:45let's just say that is the situation.
- 1:47:46Right. And.
- 1:47:48She doesn't think anything's wrong cuz she saw a lady right?
- 1:47:50But you guys know that the lady's not there.
- 1:47:52Yeah, imagine all the other times that happens to her and
- 1:47:56like. She see, she don't even know it.
- 1:47:57Yeah. And it's like it's like The
- 1:47:59Sixth Sense. I don't know if you.
- 1:48:01Ever saw it? Oh, I love that movie that.
- 1:48:02That was amazing. I also think it's definitely,
- 1:48:04there's some truth to it. Yeah.
- 1:48:06Yeah. I mean, it's a movie, obviously,
- 1:48:07But yeah, Yeah. What do you think about, like,
- 1:48:09people seeing things? I I mean, sure.
- 1:48:11Why not? Yeah, you know.
- 1:48:13Hey, this crazier shit in this world aren't.
- 1:48:14Yeah, this shit freaking me out. Malcolm's over there, dying.
- 1:48:18I don't know what happened either.
- 1:48:19It's just cuz like there's, I'm telling you, there's just like a
- 1:48:21lot. Actually, you know what?
- 1:48:22Dark areas in my house. Malcolm has a story about this
- 1:48:26stuff. Why we should let him tell that?
- 1:48:29Why what? Did you do he's?
- 1:48:30Over here in the Malcolm's. Gonna talk?
- 1:48:31Let's hear. It Malcolm's gonna tell us this
- 1:48:33ghost story. Cuz you know what?
- 1:48:35Malcolm's ghost story was one of my favorite ones I ever heard.
- 1:48:38Was it look? At him.
- 1:48:39Shit. I never heard this.
- 1:48:42Are we even friends, dude? Actually.
- 1:48:44You got one for you guys after you did was real quick you.
- 1:48:47Already know it he. Didn't he?
- 1:48:48Wasn't there? Are you sure?
- 1:48:50No. Oh, wait, Yeah, he was there.
- 1:48:51Oh, yeah, he was. There he was there.
- 1:48:52Put the webcam on. Put the webcam on.
- 1:48:55Come on. Now it's gonna be real.
- 1:48:56Dim the life. If you're not tuned into our
- 1:48:57YouTube portion, Malcolm is on the camera.
- 1:49:00All right, so this is probably like 15 years ago or something.
- 1:49:05It was my whole, my whole family.
- 1:49:09We're in the car. Where Where you live?
- 1:49:12Where were you at? This is in Howell, Monmouth
- 1:49:15County. Turn.
- 1:49:16The lights off Chris. And then so so there's like a
- 1:49:19little dirt patch when you take the turn, take the turn to my
- 1:49:22house then my driveway is the 2nd house on the right.
- 1:49:26So then we we were we take the turn we drive past the little
- 1:49:29dirt patch and we just see a little girl or little little
- 1:49:35woman sitting Chris cause applesauce in the middle of the
- 1:49:40dirt patch like. Head down, crying.
- 1:49:45You could see she's crying just by her motions, but you couldn't
- 1:49:47see her face. What?
- 1:49:48Was she wearing? It I can't remember, but I don't
- 1:49:52know what she was wearing exactly, but she had black hair,
- 1:49:54I remember that. So it was a girl from the ring.
- 1:49:57Stop, Stop. That's what you're describing.
- 1:50:01Yes, kind of so. The Bishe, it comes.
- 1:50:03Out. It's always the same.
- 1:50:04Yeah, yeah. So we so we see that little girl
- 1:50:05sitting there. See that little girl sitting
- 1:50:07there? And then we literally all look
- 1:50:09at each other. My whole family.
- 1:50:10Six of us in the car we go. Six.
- 1:50:11Yeah, we go, yo, what was that? Six of you like white?
- 1:50:15Yeah, six of us. You all saw?
- 1:50:16Yes, we all saw it and we said was that a little girl crying
- 1:50:21right there like yo, she good so we pass her and then my driveway
- 1:50:25is the second driveway on the right.
- 1:50:27So we go in the driveway, do a quick U-turn and come back and
- 1:50:31she's gone. She's gone a stop.
- 1:50:34To the light it. Freaked out.
- 1:50:37She was gone, dude. I don't know where she went.
- 1:50:40Back into the woods. Yeah.
- 1:50:41Did she go in the woods? I don't know.
- 1:50:44I don't know. Was it quick?
- 1:50:46Like what? Dude, we passed her.
- 1:50:48My driveway is literally another 4 seconds we in four seconds we
- 1:50:55hit the driveway and turn around.
- 1:50:58Cuz my driveway is like a U shape, so you can make it easy.
- 1:51:00You don't even have to do a K turn.
- 1:51:01Nothing. You just go in and out, circle
- 1:51:04back around. We pass her and it's gone, gone.
- 1:51:08And my little sister is bawling, crying.
- 1:51:10She's like, what? The fuck she didn't.
- 1:51:13Say fuck, she's like, what was. She was crying.
- 1:51:15She thought she saw a fucking ghost.
- 1:51:17I mean, apparently you all did. Yeah.
- 1:51:19And we were just like, okay, let's go home.
- 1:51:20Bye. We didn't even look for that.
- 1:51:23Little bit. As a parent, as a parent in that
- 1:51:27situation, yeah, I would be like, all right, that's fine,
- 1:51:29We're going to go home now and then and then all the police me
- 1:51:31to my significant other, motherfucker.
- 1:51:34Holy shit. Let's get the fucking side.
- 1:51:36I. Think she was gone when you told
- 1:51:38me originally, you were like there was really nowhere for her
- 1:51:39to go. There's it.
- 1:51:41In the amount of time that we turned around, you would have
- 1:51:43seen her walking down because didn't.
- 1:51:45You say it was an empty lot or something.
- 1:51:46Next, it's like a little empty field where the electrical lines
- 1:51:50are. But you know those big tower
- 1:51:52things that hold the electrical lines that's shaped like AT.
- 1:51:54Yep, yeah, that's what's behind that little dirt lot.
- 1:51:57Jesus. Real.
- 1:51:59Quick Five people left during Malcolm.
- 1:52:02Story. They're like, not.
- 1:52:04Fuck that. Turn it off.
- 1:52:05They're like, Nah, Nah. Yeah, so that's my story.
- 1:52:07That's the scary story I ever had.
- 1:52:09Yo, I got one more real quick. Yeah, yeah, let's.
- 1:52:11Go Right before I got here, I was talking to my Boy George.
- 1:52:14I don't know if he's watching right now, but I told him to
- 1:52:17check in if he could. I was helping him and his friend
- 1:52:20that we were looking at a house in Yonkers.
- 1:52:23And you know, if you're George, if you're listening, this is
- 1:52:26about you. So we enter into the house and
- 1:52:30he's a car guy, you know. So we entered into the house and
- 1:52:34he said, man, you know, this house feels a little funny,
- 1:52:36right? So this is how I know like
- 1:52:39people that. Feel things, yeah, they can
- 1:52:41send. Things there's a.
- 1:52:42Name for that but. There is and I and I think that
- 1:52:44he said he that sometimes he has those experiences.
- 1:52:47So this is a true story. We go into the house and he
- 1:52:51said, oh, it felt a little funny like, you know, like he feels a
- 1:52:53little off I. Already don't like.
- 1:52:55That he said that shit when he walked in there.
- 1:52:57When we walked in, he said he felt the house felt kind of
- 1:52:59funny. Yeah.
- 1:53:01And so this is before we went to the basement.
- 1:53:04So we go to the basement and we didn't see anything crazy.
- 1:53:07But what we do, well, maybe it is a little crazy.
- 1:53:09When we go to the basement, it's just like.
- 1:53:12The walls are wood paneling like from like the 80s or 70s.
- 1:53:15Oh my God, right, the scariest looking ones.
- 1:53:17Yeah, yeah, I used to have that in my house.
- 1:53:19So of course you did. But but what was scary was there
- 1:53:22was a room down there where the locks were reversed, right?
- 1:53:26So So instead of locking from the inside, it's locked from the
- 1:53:29outside. And then inside the room there
- 1:53:32was like like religious stuff, like bosses and stuff.
- 1:53:36And the windows had bars and you could just feel he's like, yo,
- 1:53:40something weird happened in this room.
- 1:53:42But the thing that's crazy is he said something when we first got
- 1:53:45into the house. Now when we saw the basement, so
- 1:53:48you know. I already know that.
- 1:53:49Just 2 + 2, I don't even know. Exorcism.
- 1:53:52Room No, that's that's a lock. Your kids out?
- 1:53:54Because that's what it felt like.
- 1:53:55That's what it felt like. It felt like something happened.
- 1:53:58Like maybe it's like torture. I don't know.
- 1:54:00Not even. Like, I'm not even going there.
- 1:54:01But like, some parents are sick, dude.
- 1:54:04They'll throw you in that room. Be like, read the Bible.
- 1:54:06Like they'll lock them in there. That happened to Miyagi, I'm
- 1:54:08pretty sure. We had a well.
- 1:54:12They didn't. Call it They had a math room.
- 1:54:14We didn't call it the math room, but we just weren't allowed to
- 1:54:16go outside or leave the room until you did some worksheets.
- 1:54:20Were there bars in the window? Bars in the window.
- 1:54:22It was a normalized door. Outside of the room.
- 1:54:23We didn't. Go to the bathroom.
- 1:54:24Religious ship, bro. Yeah, that is terrified.
- 1:54:27Wait, So what did he say going in?
- 1:54:29No, we left. Well, we gotta leave.
- 1:54:31No, no, I thought you said. So I thought he said something
- 1:54:34before you guys went into the house, he just.
- 1:54:36Said he felt uncomfortable. He just said that when we
- 1:54:38entered the house, the minute we entered he said like the house
- 1:54:41fell off and he made that comment and and his his friend
- 1:54:46that was with us. I was looking to buy the house.
- 1:54:48She was like, man, George always makes his comments about some of
- 1:54:50these old houses. Yeah.
- 1:54:52And he's like, yeah, sometimes I feel things And then sure enough
- 1:54:54this is before we went down. That's what he's.
- 1:54:55Listen, I don't know if he's listening right now but this is
- 1:54:58how I know that like this should.
- 1:55:00You're talking about that some people sense things.
- 1:55:02He's one of them. And it came and you just
- 1:55:04reminded me when you were talking about like seeing the
- 1:55:05girl and people, because I was literally talking to him about
- 1:55:09this before I pulled into your driveway.
- 1:55:11Yeah, yeah. Not about this house, but about
- 1:55:14just to him about stuff. And it was kind of weird, so.
- 1:55:17I mean, the fact that he said that when he just walked into
- 1:55:19the house, yeah. That's unless he just does it
- 1:55:22all the time as a joke. Nah, well, we're always joking
- 1:55:25around, but he said that and then we went to the basement and
- 1:55:28we're like, yo, what the fuck is this?
- 1:55:29Because he? Was probably like, yeah.
- 1:55:31Told you the locks were still there.
- 1:55:33The room was like obviously looked a little suspect there
- 1:55:36was like a small window with like bars so like no one could
- 1:55:39like open that window to get out if you had to and and I can
- 1:55:42understand well I can understand if it was for safety if someone
- 1:55:45breaking in. But The thing is there was a
- 1:55:47lock on the outside of the door to go in.
- 1:55:50And it wasn't like a lock like, oh, like a doorknob.
- 1:55:52It looked like a lock like. To keep someone in.
- 1:55:55There to keep someone in there, you know.
- 1:55:56And then there was like crosses inside there and stuff with like
- 1:55:59Jesus and rosary stuff, so. I just look really weird and if
- 1:56:03it made us feel real uncomfortable and we like God,
- 1:56:05so. That house, that house is for.
- 1:56:07Sale. I would have been sold out of
- 1:56:09there. Yo, I mean this.
- 1:56:10In this market, the house went quick, man.
- 1:56:14I was just gone, bro, they said. Some demon stuff in the
- 1:56:17basement, that ain't no problem. No problem is a corner house.
- 1:56:20Nice property, good sized house, you know.
- 1:56:22So that was gone. It's got a nice secure room in
- 1:56:24the basement. Yeah, nice.
- 1:56:25Secure room. He's as a game room.
- 1:56:31All right, guys, just. I have to say, that's the most
- 1:56:33disturbing story out of everyone's tonight.
- 1:56:35For me. For me.
- 1:56:36It is. Yeah, well, that really did
- 1:56:39happen, you know, because. There's a lot of different
- 1:56:41things that room. Could feel like.
- 1:56:42And none of them are really. Good feel like calling George,
- 1:56:44but like you're George, you want to talk in this there's.
- 1:56:46But what I don't like is that that shit happens.
- 1:56:52Dude, that shit happens all the time.
- 1:56:53I know, and no one knows about it.
- 1:56:54I was thinking about this the other.
- 1:56:55Day. Well, not because a part of me
- 1:56:57growing up, I'm just like the whole time.
- 1:56:59I'm like, why do I still believe in this shit?
- 1:57:01Like I should Not gonna do anything to me, but what if it
- 1:57:03can? Like demons and.
- 1:57:05Yeah, like growing up, you're like, why am I scared of the
- 1:57:07dark? Like, let me just walk in the
- 1:57:08dark, and then I'll walk in the dark, like I'm in the middle of
- 1:57:11a dark ass St. for like maybe 10 seconds, and then I'll just
- 1:57:14start sprinting out of it like hell.
- 1:57:16Like. Going home, that's, yeah, that's
- 1:57:18psychological. Like, it's it's it's hard.
- 1:57:20But The thing is, is that stuff happens.
- 1:57:22You experience it like like the alien, like, yeah, I'm not going
- 1:57:25to call. It could be a plane.
- 1:57:26It could have been a helicopter, but there was no helicopter.
- 1:57:28You just didn't see anything from your perspective, That shit
- 1:57:31was an alien. There I can see a fair amount of
- 1:57:35the sky from where my house is. It's literally on top of a hill
- 1:57:39compared to the other houses. Yeah, I can look straight up and
- 1:57:42I can look good amount around. Not a plane insight, just
- 1:57:46saying. Did you see that thing in Vegas
- 1:57:49where like it was like maybe a month ago?
- 1:57:51Yeah, but you're talking about the crash.
- 1:57:53Yeah, the crash. Yeah, So I don't know, I.
- 1:57:55Didn't like, listen to anything. I just hear what other people
- 1:57:58are saying. Yeah, but yeah, apparently they
- 1:58:00called the cops. They're like, yeah, something
- 1:58:01crash in our backyard. This.
- 1:58:03That. OK, well, where is it?
- 1:58:04Yeah, like that's. What I'm wondering military took
- 1:58:06that away, bro. That shit.
- 1:58:08Is you know, you know area 51 is real though.
- 1:58:10Yeah, yeah. And and right by the Vegas
- 1:58:12airport, there is. No, no.
- 1:58:16Yeah. Yeah, what How crazy in from
- 1:58:19what kind of information you drop it?
- 1:58:20Right. No, I'm not joking.
- 1:58:21Anything. I'm not the biggest.
- 1:58:22You might not be able to Google, but but you're gonna.
- 1:58:24Have the FBI coming here. No, but that you know like so I
- 1:58:27had a friend that that he was offered a job.
- 1:58:30At. To go and you, you like, you
- 1:58:32take a plane. Right.
- 1:58:33Yeah. Oh, I know what you're.
- 1:58:34Talking about and they'll bring you to some location in the
- 1:58:36middle of the desert. Yep.
- 1:58:38And what's the name of it? But you can't.
- 1:58:39I don't remember. Don't look at me, dude.
- 1:58:41I'm trying. I'm learning, right?
- 1:58:42Now, and even if I did, I don't want to say it over here.
- 1:58:44Yeah, I just realized I'm talking to podcast like you get
- 1:58:46so comfortable, you start all. This shit, that's how we get
- 1:58:49you, yeah. Yeah, that's how you get you.
- 1:58:50Next thing you know, I'm gonna be like in trouble and.
- 1:58:51Shit. Wait, wait.
- 1:58:52So what is it now? This.
- 1:58:53They bring you over there and beat you with a rake?
- 1:58:55What? Do they know like?
- 1:58:56That's how you get to work. That's how you get to work.
- 1:58:58That's what happened with Bob Lazar.
- 1:59:00But, but but The thing is, you don't know.
- 1:59:03Where you're going. Where you're going, you just
- 1:59:04show up at the airport and you get on a plane, and the plane
- 1:59:08will go wherever it goes. You're supposed to give your
- 1:59:10phones, like you're not supposed to tell your family if you know,
- 1:59:12like no one's supposed to know where you're going.
- 1:59:15And you work for the government, for a division of the
- 1:59:17government. And it's real like he told me.
- 1:59:19And he was like, I didn't want to do it because he had a family
- 1:59:21and you know, stuff like that. But you know, they in his line
- 1:59:25of work because he's like into technology and stuff.
- 1:59:29He was offered a job there. He was like, I he didn't take
- 1:59:32it. Well, the guy that the guy that
- 1:59:33Frankie's talking about. He kept so Bob Lazar.
- 1:59:36He got a job because he slapped a rocket engine on the back of a
- 1:59:39Honda Civic. Hey, yeah, someone saw him and
- 1:59:41they're like, oh, you'd be good at.
- 1:59:42Him. Probably in any.
- 1:59:43Situation that you're talking about.
- 1:59:45Probably the same exact place. What I forget the name of it,
- 1:59:47it's not area 51, but it's right.
- 1:59:49It's on the same. It's on the same thing.
- 1:59:52It's like in the desert. Yeah, you know, it's probably
- 1:59:54the same, I think. I call it a name I don't.
- 1:59:55I'm trying to look it up but I can't find it but I think.
- 1:59:58You're talking about Fast and Furious with the rocket.
- 1:59:59No, no, the Fiero, Yeah, I mean, he basically built that shit.
- 2:00:02Yeah, but but he came out years, years ago about working there
- 2:00:09and about all this alien technology they have.
- 2:00:12So he's like the he's like the number one.
- 2:00:15Whistleblower for Area 50. One stuff.
- 2:00:18Bob Lazar? Yeah, that guy might even know
- 2:00:20it. Your buddy, he probably does
- 2:00:23know of him. Yeah, maybe he could.
- 2:00:24Maybe he'll tell us he's crazy. Maybe I'm paranoid, maybe.
- 2:00:27Maybe he'll be like, man, that guy was in the break room
- 2:00:29smoking meth, yeah. Well, he didn't take the job.
- 2:00:32He didn't take it. He didn't, He didn't take the
- 2:00:33job, from what I understood, because he had a family, young
- 2:00:37family. And he was like, listen, like he
- 2:00:39goes and he considered it because it sounded cool, Yeah,
- 2:00:42But he didn't do it. The shit Bob Lasar talks about
- 2:00:45is so the his boss knew that his wife was having an affair before
- 2:00:50he knew what. Because they tapped in all the
- 2:00:52phones. All the phones are tapped.
- 2:00:53That's crazy. And then they fired him and they
- 2:00:55said your wife's having an affair with you.
- 2:00:57We can't. We can't trust you anymore
- 2:00:59because we don't know what you're going to do when you find
- 2:01:01out. And by the way, you're finding
- 2:01:02out now. All right, You fired.
- 2:01:04My bad. You're fired.
- 2:01:05Yeah. About the Google ad later, Yeah,
- 2:01:07you'll. Fall deep.
- 2:01:08There's a Joe Rogan podcast. It's like 3 hours long.
- 2:01:10Yeah, it's, it's. Fucking scary, cuz the guy seems
- 2:01:13legit. That's insane, bro.
- 2:01:15Yeah, it's that's definitely the scariest.
- 2:01:17Bob Lazar. Yeah, scariest alien thing I
- 2:01:20ever heard of was him. And then that other one that you
- 2:01:23listened to with. The Lumberjack guy.
- 2:01:24No, not even him, cuz he's a little wishy.
- 2:01:26One, although the older guy who sounds when he's talking, it
- 2:01:29sounds like they literally wiped his brain.
- 2:01:31Yeah, that guy's that guy has like a whole abduction story.
- 2:01:34I'm like, I don't know. Wonder if aliens like cars,
- 2:01:36though, man? Probably.
- 2:01:38They probably race their shit. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking
- 2:01:40like. They must, you know, right?
- 2:01:42I mean, I would think so. Dude, I think that they would
- 2:01:44race their shit. Would they like our simple ass
- 2:01:48cars or would they be? I think that this is what would
- 2:01:51happen and you know, this shit is gonna be accurate as fuck.
- 2:01:56Okay. I think the alien would come
- 2:01:59down here and see an S13 with like done up and the way that we
- 2:02:03like. Yeah, maybe Chris's car.
- 2:02:05And then be like, damn, let. Me know if you're selling.
- 2:02:07What is up with that? Like, oh, that's kind of cool.
- 2:02:10So then they go back to their ship and they're like, damn, we
- 2:02:14should take some of that old shit and put it on here.
- 2:02:16They're boring ass shifts. Yeah, And then they're like, you
- 2:02:19know what? That's kind of cool.
- 2:02:20Like I'm gonna make my shit 2 tone.
- 2:02:22Hey, like just like how I'm telling you that's how it works.
- 2:02:25Like as if, like us seeing at least for me, like I'll look at
- 2:02:31older race cars like like the Goodwood.
- 2:02:34Yeah, like type stuff. Or like older Japanese race
- 2:02:38cars. And I'm like, damn, I'm gonna
- 2:02:40get that look like and then somehow put it over there onto
- 2:02:43my shit. That's what they would do.
- 2:02:46They would be like, damn SR20. Their spacecrafts are so boring
- 2:02:49though. They're gonna make something
- 2:02:50called the. XR20.
- 2:02:52Hey, how do you feel about Tesla's?
- 2:02:54Not so much the electric car part, but more so how they look.
- 2:03:00But some people love these fucking cars.
- 2:03:01I don't get it. I think that the Model X looks,
- 2:03:05I think it's a good looking car. Yeah.
- 2:03:07I think the Yi think the the. I used to like the three, but I
- 2:03:10think they look really boring now.
- 2:03:11Yeah, yeah, they look really, I think that.
- 2:03:13Sometimes it's. I saw one that looked Really.
- 2:03:16Yeah, I got. He must have liked it, the tail
- 2:03:17lights. What's the name of the the the
- 2:03:20Unplug Unplug for fun. Oh, maybe it was.
- 2:03:22Yeah, they have a body kit. OK.
- 2:03:24Yeah, they look, they look like. An electrical appliance.
- 2:03:29Yeah, right. Yeah.
- 2:03:30It's like you you think about the SUV one, right?
- 2:03:32You you look at it and I'm like, it's not really anything about
- 2:03:36that. That makes me go like, damn,
- 2:03:38like those curbs on the car. That body line is sick.
- 2:03:41Like, Nah, it's an appliance, dude.
- 2:03:42That's it. Yeah, the only it's.
- 2:03:44A car with a front and a back. Only reason I bring that up is
- 2:03:46because I was behind one the other day and I for the first
- 2:03:48time ever I was like. It kind of looks good.
- 2:03:51Was it a X or so? It was the car, so I don't know
- 2:03:54which one that one is. Yeah, yeah.
- 2:03:56I mean, it was. The X is like a really wide one
- 2:03:58and. It's maybe it was that.
- 2:04:00One, yeah, I think the X is probably the good looking one.
- 2:04:02I'd want the Lucy. You know what I know?
- 2:04:04Where Lucy looks good too. The lucid looks sick.
- 2:04:06What is that? It has a long front light.
- 2:04:08That's all I know about it. Yeah, 1100 horsepower.
- 2:04:11Dude, I'm so behind on these things.
- 2:04:13Yeah, you're not missing anything.
- 2:04:14This is the shit that this is what scares me about him though,
- 2:04:16OK? And this, this is, this is also
- 2:04:17a true story. I'm coming home from somewhere
- 2:04:21with my roommate Tyler, and we're having a very, you know,
- 2:04:23loud discussion about something. I forget.
- 2:04:26But then a car drives up and it's a Toyota crown.
- 2:04:30I didn't know what the fuck it was.
- 2:04:31It was just a driving pass. And it's a big car, very big
- 2:04:34car. It looks like a lifted sedan to
- 2:04:36those of us who are into Japanese cars, like most of us
- 2:04:39are. The Crown is a rear wheel drive
- 2:04:42car and it comes with A1J. But then they made the Mark X,
- 2:04:45which is I think it's a. Some sort of GR series engine
- 2:04:49like A2GR3GR, whatever the fuck GR.
- 2:04:52And that this crown is, it says, you know, hybrid platinum crown.
- 2:05:00And I'm like, what the fuck is that thing dude, look it up.
- 2:05:02He looks it up, he goes, bro, that she has 340 horsepower and
- 2:05:07I was like, what? And it was a normal fucking car.
- 2:05:12What year is it? It's a new one.
- 2:05:13It's. Brand new.
- 2:05:14Spanking new dude. Yeah, it's like 24.
- 2:05:16Like brand new. Had a dealer plate and
- 2:05:19everything like. It's a Toyota crown.
- 2:05:21It's a Toyota Crown 3. 100 That's an older car, right?
- 2:05:24340 horsepower. The older ones are.
- 2:05:26We love them. I love them too, so I know you
- 2:05:29look. Kind of got not really a crown,
- 2:05:30but. I have a cresto.
- 2:05:33Oh, you have a Cresto? Yeah.
- 2:05:34What? What year?
- 2:05:3486. OK, So that's the what chassis
- 2:05:38is that? MX something 73.
- 2:05:41OK. Yeah.
- 2:05:42So that's the one before. It's actually called the GX 71,
- 2:05:46but over here in America, the Toyota Cressida is the MX73.
- 2:05:51Yeah. In Japan is called the GX 71
- 2:05:54because of the VIN number right hand drive.
- 2:05:56It's a 2 liter, like it's a 2 liter V6.
- 2:06:00Yeah, so it's kind of weird. Or inline 6.
- 2:06:03I said V6, I said V6. Sorry inline.
- 2:06:05You know it's inline. 6. Those cars are cool.
- 2:06:07Though I mean, I definitely like.
- 2:06:09I liked that era of the Cressida 2 more than the next Cressida I
- 2:06:14feel like. I like Miyagi's Cresida.
- 2:06:16I don't, actually. I like his car.
- 2:06:18But I like your generation. Yeah, for those body cars.
- 2:06:22And then if I was gonna get this generation Cressida, I wouldn't
- 2:06:26and I would get an LS do. You remember when Ilya had a?
- 2:06:29Had one of those cars. I never met Ilya and I feel like
- 2:06:31I have a shit one day. Dude, that car I like, it's
- 2:06:34going to do. It's the.
- 2:06:34Best one for drifting. It's basically your car.
- 2:06:36But I know I was going to say I'll bring you here if I decided
- 2:06:38to drift it. Yeah, I think I've seen it.
- 2:06:40Cuz you. Was that the car that you
- 2:06:41brought to the? Wekfast, yeah.
- 2:06:43OK then. Yeah, I definitely saw it.
- 2:06:45What was my other question for you?
- 2:06:47Oh, before you go, I want to talk about 7th day.
- 2:06:52Oh yes, and your, you know, any thoughts on it or?
- 2:06:55I love 7th day, man. I love what What These guys,
- 2:06:57Edwin Prov. They so when I took, when I
- 2:07:00stepped away from Central, that's when they just they went
- 2:07:03on with Prime. And you know me walking away
- 2:07:08from Central for a time to take a break had a lot to do with
- 2:07:13well, I I guess family you know mental break.
- 2:07:16You know car culture, the problem with at least what I
- 2:07:19went through with Central. Was I'm tired of I don't like
- 2:07:21politics. You know I don't like dealing
- 2:07:24with politics And when people see you doing things in like big
- 2:07:28so you guys may have experiences once or twice with your you know
- 2:07:31with your business because people know you use the shop.
- 2:07:34Someone wants you to do one thing one way because someone
- 2:07:36wants to eat another and you know you're trying to please
- 2:07:39everyone, right. And eventually you got to do it
- 2:07:41your way. And I never ever start I don't
- 2:07:44do car stuff because I want to make a name for myself I don't
- 2:07:48care about. I mean, sure, I like Central,
- 2:07:50like where we want to promote our, you know, our style.
- 2:07:54But it was never about being anything.
- 2:07:58Like I didn't care about being known or knowing people or
- 2:08:01anything. Like I just want to have fun.
- 2:08:02So I took a a step back and and these guys started Prime and
- 2:08:06they took what we had started. So with Whack Fest, oh, I
- 2:08:09brought up a long time ago, I never got into it.
- 2:08:11But when Whack Fest in 2010 or 2011 when the first year they
- 2:08:15were here, we approached them about doing this cruise where?
- 2:08:19The night before where we would showcase the city, I'll be
- 2:08:22called it the pregame. And the pregame was literally
- 2:08:27like if you think of 7th day, but 7th day became its own huge
- 2:08:31entity about rotaries but so much more about JM culture.
- 2:08:34But it actually the the precursor to that was the
- 2:08:37pregame. And the pregame was the whole
- 2:08:41idea was we wanted to showcase our city.
- 2:08:45To on this platform that Wech Fest was bringing because Wech
- 2:08:47Fest at the time was like from the West Coast and they were in
- 2:08:50Japan and they would like they had this this type of culture
- 2:08:56that was really dope. Like it was about quality of
- 2:08:58showcase and quality. But it was it was unique to the
- 2:09:01way they presented it and we were excited that they wanted to
- 2:09:05showcase the East Coast. But how?
- 2:09:08What better way to do it than to not just do it at their show but
- 2:09:12also do it on our streets. So we started the pregame, and
- 2:09:16that the pregame was actually a combination of smaller meats
- 2:09:20that were well known at the time, like in the in the 2000 to
- 2:09:242010 years. So we had my boy O'Malley.
- 2:09:28I don't know if you ever heard of Chris O'Malley or the
- 2:09:30Manhattan Halal meat, but. That sounds delicious, though.
- 2:09:34Yeah, so, so shout out to Chris O'Malley.
- 2:09:37He's my boy from years ago. He's also being to like.
- 2:09:41Into the streets now. Obviously he's we're older, so
- 2:09:44we're like retired. Yeah, retired from the streets.
- 2:09:47Retired from the street. You know, he has his own thing
- 2:09:50going. You know, we're family men now
- 2:09:52trying to do our thing. But he used to do the Omali
- 2:09:55Manhattan Khalau meet and it was essentially. 53rd and six. 53rd
- 2:10:01and six. But he would go to Times Square.
- 2:10:04OK yeah. And we would take photos of,
- 2:10:06like, the imports going through Times Square.
- 2:10:08So that was where that started. Yeah, this is like in 2007,
- 2:10:112008, 2009, and there was no real social media.
- 2:10:15Like it was not. It was kind of starting up, but
- 2:10:16there was no Instagram yet, right?
- 2:10:18There was it was formed. So we used to do the photos and
- 2:10:21it was a lot on a smaller scale, but it was we it was like it was
- 2:10:25like a takeover. I hate using that word now
- 2:10:27because now it's such a bad thing.
- 2:10:29But we used to talk about taking over the city and not about
- 2:10:31doing burnouts. It's about just bringing all the
- 2:10:34dope cars into the city. And just doing a cruise to the
- 2:10:39city. So we would go through Times
- 2:10:40Square and then head back up to what we would go to our South
- 2:10:43St. Seaport and then we would go to
- 2:10:45end it at hello and. You have different photo,
- 2:10:47different areas you take photos at and stuff, yeah.
- 2:10:50And and and actually it wasn't even me.
- 2:10:52It was O'Malley that was doing that.
- 2:10:54He was like in my mind he was like the pioneer at the time of
- 2:10:58this, of doing this type of cruise meet up during a time
- 2:11:02when there was no social media but everyone knew.
- 2:11:06Umali for that. Like, that was like, oh, when
- 2:11:09we're going to go to the city with our civics and our and our
- 2:11:11evils and our imports, it was because he organized this cruise
- 2:11:15through the city. It was like really dope and that
- 2:11:19maybe I'm going to sound old, but the reason I think it was
- 2:11:21really dope is because we didn't do it to post.
- 2:11:24Yeah, we did it because we were just doing dope shit through the
- 2:11:27city, like. Yeah, because it was fun to get
- 2:11:29a photo of that back then. You're like.
- 2:11:32Click. So you got a central legitimate?
- 2:11:35Digital camera or something? Yeah, like I kind of regret
- 2:11:38there's definitely photos. So like, I know Molly cuz he's a
- 2:11:41photographer. He 100% has photos.
- 2:11:44I'm sure if I go through my Facebook back then you're gonna
- 2:11:46find it on my history. That's the good part about
- 2:11:48Facebook. Thank God, yeah, and even
- 2:11:51Myspace like. Hell yeah, Myspace.
- 2:11:53If you go to the old things, they have some really sick
- 2:11:55photos. But sometimes they delete.
- 2:11:56Your Myspace. So it's gone already, I think.
- 2:11:58Oh yeah, But I think before I went down, I think I was able to
- 2:12:01save some really old photos. That's cool.
- 2:12:03Yeah, my whole page got wiped out.
- 2:12:05Yeah, me too. I was mad about it.
- 2:12:06I'm mad about it too, because there was a lot of photos that
- 2:12:08probably never get back. Yeah, that would have like
- 2:12:11encapsuled. That shit is sitting on a
- 2:12:12server. Somewhere I know.
- 2:12:14Yeah. Yeah, that shit is.
- 2:12:15Definitely sitting on a stereo somewhere somebody could.
- 2:12:17Because you could still, like, log in, but everything's
- 2:12:19different. The whole thing's gone.
- 2:12:20They kind of made it like Facebook.
- 2:12:21He tried to Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 2:12:23Oh, before I finish because I also want to pay homage to.
- 2:12:26So when we did because you mentioned sevens game sevens
- 2:12:30day. Yeah.
- 2:12:31So the pregame wasn't just so Molly, it was also Rob from V
- 2:12:35Race works. He used to do the Harlem.
- 2:12:37Erase works, I follow them I. Think Yeah.
- 2:12:39So, Rob. Rob V Race works.
- 2:12:41I used to follow him a long time ago because he had Integra.
- 2:12:44So he had Integra, he had a CRX, and he was known for his coupe
- 2:12:48for the SSI. Yes.
- 2:12:50Did they have a shop? Yeah, they still have it now.
- 2:12:52So they have a shop in the city and then they have one.
- 2:12:55I think it's in Massachusetts. And it's like retail parts,
- 2:12:59right? Yeah.
- 2:12:59Like some parts, yeah, like conda stuff.
- 2:13:01Yeah but back in the day he because he was from Harlem they
- 2:13:06used to do the the Harlem meet. So like when 7th day now goes to
- 2:13:11Harlem and they take the photos under under the arches.
- 2:13:14If you actually read the the the the the description they pay
- 2:13:17homage to the Harlem meet that's so even before 7th they did it.
- 2:13:22We actually decide the pregame for a white fest was part of our
- 2:13:25cruise because we paid homage by going to to Harlem.
- 2:13:29But it was really Rob that started that whole meet back
- 2:13:31then you know and a lot of these guys now like Omali Rob, I mean
- 2:13:35Rob still in the game but you know he's also has his family So
- 2:13:38it's a little bit different now like we're not kids where we
- 2:13:40could go and. Do Takeover meets, you know,
- 2:13:42Yeah. And we kind of leave that to
- 2:13:44like the newer generation because obviously a lot of
- 2:13:45people are doing a lot of stuff now.
- 2:13:47Yeah, they got a new definition for takeover meets.
- 2:13:49Yeah, no, we're takeover meets now.
- 2:13:51I I don't mess with that stuff. Yeah, unfortunately, yeah.
- 2:13:54So any questions, Frankie? Yeah, we'd probably do have
- 2:13:57questions. We post up a questionnaire on
- 2:13:59Instagram. Oh, OK.
- 2:14:00Yeah. Yeah, so, but yeah, I just want
- 2:14:02to talk about 7th Day because I know you were involved.
- 2:14:04With that stuff. So you're going to be there
- 2:14:06100%. OK.
- 2:14:07So I mean, I feel like it's going to be a good one.
- 2:14:10I think so. My car is running.
- 2:14:11What about you, Frankie? Yeah, I'll be driving someone
- 2:14:15else's car if Miyagi lets me drive his car.
- 2:14:19Miyagi. I'm trying to get him to come to
- 2:14:20the actual event. But you know, you know how it
- 2:14:23is. We should tell Wags to come.
- 2:14:26Dude, we're gonna all pull up, kid up.
- 2:14:29Try to convince AJ to come. That would be.
- 2:14:31Great, dude. All right, we're meeting up
- 2:14:32here. Hurry up.
- 2:14:33Yeah, I've. Actually already been organizing
- 2:14:35something. Have you talked to AJ?
- 2:14:37No, no. Yeah, talk to AJ.
- 2:14:39Maybe he'll listen to you. Oh yeah.
- 2:14:42Oh, from Roadstar. Yeah, Riley, my.
- 2:14:45We have a customer that's picking up an R34 here.
- 2:14:49He lives in Chicago. I think he's picking the car up
- 2:14:52because he just bought it. He's bringing it here for Chris
- 2:14:54to do a multi point inspection and oil change and then he's
- 2:14:58like I told him I was like it's seven today.
- 2:14:59He's like Oh yeah, I'll go to that too.
- 2:15:01That's it. And then I'll drive it.
- 2:15:03Home He's good. Driving home.
- 2:15:04Oh, for real. Yeah.
- 2:15:05That's it. I was like, OK that.
- 2:15:06Works. Wait, I want to see all the
- 2:15:07faction boys together. Let's go.
- 2:15:09We need to get AJ. That's the key.
- 2:15:12Faction boys, I used to love when you guys had the matching
- 2:15:14cars. Like that, Yeah.
- 2:15:16That's not me. I don't have that.
- 2:15:17We're new generation. Factional, Yeah.
- 2:15:18They're the new generation is. It still matching though no.
- 2:15:22But I feel like the styles, yeah, I feel like the styles are
- 2:15:25matching and I think that's even cooler.
- 2:15:27Yeah, we wanted to do that this time around and said the whole
- 2:15:29matching car thing in the Drift community.
- 2:15:32It kind of gets annoying sometimes.
- 2:15:34I hate to say that cuz I don't want to.
- 2:15:36It's not that I don't want. To I just fucking said.
- 2:15:38It I want people to still do that just for me I I was like I
- 2:15:42don't cuz you know what happens is like the cars look so similar
- 2:15:45that you came in you can't so yeah you're like it just looks
- 2:15:48like a Gray BLOB like I. Guess.
- 2:15:50But like, I'm looking at the photo and you got one with like
- 2:15:53the different, yeah, front ends and you got one that's a coop
- 2:15:56and a hat. Yeah, I don't know.
- 2:15:57I just think. It's like when there was me and
- 2:15:59Justin and it was like the pair of cars, I was OK Then you got
- 2:16:02Scott and there's another coop and it's like, OK, that's cool
- 2:16:04for a bit. But then it was just like.
- 2:16:06And then we had a S14. Once Chet was on our teams, we
- 2:16:10had S14. There is, there has to be a
- 2:16:12photo somewhere of all of us like lined up.
- 2:16:14But I was like, you know what, let's do different colors that
- 2:16:18complement each other. And then the vinyl will look
- 2:16:20similar. That was, yeah, that's the new
- 2:16:23plan. And then like little things like
- 2:16:25the engine bays will be the same, you know, stuff like that.
- 2:16:29All right, Let me see these questions.
- 2:16:32Is it here, Malcolm? Am I blind?
- 2:16:35Oh, there it is. Now we get a lot of wild
- 2:16:39questions in here, so I'm gonna sort through some of these.
- 2:16:42They're funny sometimes. Just start with a wild one, all
- 2:16:45right? What's your favorite dinosaur?
- 2:16:49It's kind of easy, cuz I like to see Rex.
- 2:16:51You got short arms. I got shorter arms, but you
- 2:16:53know, no, that's a good. 1. Because last time, like, three
- 2:16:56of these dudes picked herbivores, I was like, what the
- 2:16:59Hell's going on here? A Brachiosaurus, see, has a
- 2:17:02fucking. Long I was like velociraptic.
- 2:17:05And you will never be able to eat the things that I eat.
- 2:17:08RB Or Jayz, I guess this is a question for everyone.
- 2:17:11But Oh well for me Jayz, but and sorry guys, I know you guys are
- 2:17:14like. No, no, no.
- 2:17:15We're neutral. We're SRS.
- 2:17:17We're SRS. OK, yes, that's OK.
- 2:17:18Cool. But like I I like Jayz because I
- 2:17:22don't know, I just like the way they sound better.
- 2:17:24They. Sound, yeah.
- 2:17:25Yeah, we all know Carl once. That should make my ears horny.
- 2:17:29That shit sounds so good. Chris, what about you, RB or
- 2:17:32Jayz? SR20 if.
- 2:17:39I. Had to pick one.
- 2:17:42I know what he's gonna say. It's.
- 2:17:43Gonna be the Jayz. I was wrong.
- 2:17:46What? About you, Franklin More.
- 2:17:48Reliable, yeah. It's just expensive.
- 2:17:51What about me? Depends on the core.
- 2:17:53That's true. If it's a Toyota Jayz, If it's a
- 2:17:55Nissan, I want to RB in it. Yeah, sure.
- 2:17:59If you can only buy one manufacturer car brand, what
- 2:18:04would it be? I guess like for the rest of
- 2:18:05your life or something like what kind of question?
- 2:18:07Like where Caro doesn't make down pipes.
- 2:18:08What? Are you talking about, like, no,
- 2:18:11no, I mean, like what? Like Nissan?
- 2:18:13Toyota. Oh, like, if you can only pick
- 2:18:15one. OK, all right, good.
- 2:18:18Dude. We all know what you're gonna
- 2:18:19say, all right? For me, like, I mean, it's gonna
- 2:18:21sound kind of obvious. Well, maybe not, but I love
- 2:18:23Honda, man. OK, yeah, well cuz I know what
- 2:18:26this guy's gonna. Say you do have a type R right
- 2:18:28now. I do.
- 2:18:28But like the history, you know, like, like growing up with it,
- 2:18:32Yeah, You know, it's like the way it feels.
- 2:18:35It's it's even. Even though you're going to give
- 2:18:37up that all-wheel drive. I don't care about all-wheel
- 2:18:39drive. Damn, I think all-wheel drive is
- 2:18:41all rated. This.
- 2:18:41This new Honda shit. I got to race you in my cars,
- 2:18:45man. Let's.
- 2:18:46Do it. All right.
- 2:18:46I'm done. Yeah.
- 2:18:47Yes. What is your?
- 2:18:49Actually hold up before we before what type of racing
- 2:18:51though. You're a great line.
- 2:18:53We're drag racing. Frankie's putting a stroker in.
- 2:18:55Then I might need all-wheel drive.
- 2:18:57I got that turbo right there. Some old shit don't worry about.
- 2:19:00It wait, which car that's going to go in that car?
- 2:19:02Yeah, it's Mitsubishi 20G all. Right.
- 2:19:05I might be done. He calculated it in his head
- 2:19:09real quick. Yeah, I'll.
- 2:19:11Just do it. Yeah, I'm down.
- 2:19:12Yeah. Yeah, that would be my first
- 2:19:14race. Wow.
- 2:19:15No, I'm serious. Let's.
- 2:19:16Do it. I'm down.
- 2:19:17FL5 Type R versus a stroker Sr. Dude, I'm gonna be trying
- 2:19:20though. I hope you do.
- 2:19:21OK, all right. Like, I'm gonna be.
- 2:19:23I've been talking about this before, like.
- 2:19:25It's not like Kenny has shitty tires on that car either.
- 2:19:28Like, dude. That, yeah, the car is not made
- 2:19:30to launch. Yeah, it will launch.
- 2:19:31Yeah, huh. It will launch.
- 2:19:33Frankie's got a I'll make it work.
- 2:19:36I'll make it work, yeah. What is your dream drive?
- 2:19:39One car, one Rd. slash track. Wait if I wait.
- 2:19:43By the way, one manufacturer. Yeah, Tor Show.
- 2:19:46No, it's Toyota. No, it's not.
- 2:19:49If it's funded, is it funded by anybody else?
- 2:19:52No, it's you have to pay for it. OK, the cheapest 1.
- 2:19:57Toyota. Toyota, I like this.
- 2:20:00Question What is your dream Drive one car, one road or
- 2:20:03track? Wow, I kind of like that
- 2:20:05question a lot. That's like a really good.
- 2:20:06Who to Who the fuck ask? That Tyler say what?
- 2:20:09Sick. Oh, what's up dude?
- 2:20:11He's the one with the four lug car.
- 2:20:12Yeah, his car sick. Yeah, that's probably one of the
- 2:20:15one of my favorite questions we ever got on this podcast.
- 2:20:17So. OK, this gonna sound cliche, but
- 2:20:20I definitely want a Porsche. Yeah, I want.
- 2:20:22I want whatever Carl want. I want it to turn.
- 2:20:24And I wanted to, to inspire confidence, OK, You know, but
- 2:20:28still have like a driving experience.
- 2:20:30Give me more specific than. That so, I've never driven a
- 2:20:33Porsche before, but I I dream about driving it.
- 2:20:36So I my dream like a GT3RS where you could just literally feel
- 2:20:40the motor. It's like driving VTech, right?
- 2:20:41Yeah, but you feel the motor. And you feel the chassis and
- 2:20:45it's so good that it inspires confidence because it's like,
- 2:20:48you know, I drive the sidebar and this car, it inspires you to
- 2:20:51drive faster. So I took my FKA to Arden Valley
- 2:20:55and I'll never forget the first time I did, I went with this,
- 2:20:59this group that goes up there like they and they enjoy driving
- 2:21:02those mountain roads. And like I had this moment where
- 2:21:06I kind of blacked out. I got and I've never been on
- 2:21:09this road before, but The thing is, I was following them, so
- 2:21:11they knew the road. And the pace that we were going
- 2:21:14was just like by the time we were done, everyone was
- 2:21:17sweating, you know, and we weren't speeding allegedly,
- 2:21:20right? Like, yeah, but it was such a
- 2:21:23good pace that and and so the reason I bring that up is the
- 2:21:27Type R is, is a good chassis that makes you feel like you
- 2:21:30could be a good driver. But I want to experience it in
- 2:21:32like a car that like like a like a GT3RS.
- 2:21:36But like the motor is like a part of the experience.
- 2:21:38The transmission I'm all of us feeling, man.
- 2:21:41Yeah, and you know, so. What track or Rd. would you want
- 2:21:44to go on? I know my answer.
- 2:21:48It's gonna sound I. Also know my answer.
- 2:21:50I think it's only cliche cuz I've ever visited it, but like
- 2:21:52the Nurburgring. Yeah, you have to, you have to
- 2:21:54do it on the Nurburgring with that car, yeah.
- 2:21:56Yeah, it's cliche. I've never been there.
- 2:21:58And obviously I want to drive it.
- 2:22:00Yeah, yeah, so. I feel like it's only right.
- 2:22:02You're not a Stealvio Pass guy. I'm.
- 2:22:04Just saying like that car, I feel like you should be on the
- 2:22:07Nurburgring. I would want to be on the
- 2:22:09Nurburgring, but. I'd want to be in a Porsche 930.
- 2:22:18Why? Why you?
- 2:22:19Don't want to. I want to die.
- 2:22:20Yeah. That's a widow maker.
- 2:22:22Right there, I. Want to?
- 2:22:24Die. I want to feel that old school
- 2:22:26turbo technology just fucking doing nothing but sending.
- 2:22:30That every Porsche that's not a 9/11, just a.
- 2:22:33Porsche 930 is a 911. It's a turbo.
- 2:22:36So is it like the old? It's a turbo 9/11 G body.
- 2:22:38Yeah, I don't even know that 1, so it's got to be.
- 2:22:40That's. The wide, wide, Yeah, wide body.
- 2:22:44Here is it. I don't know, 80s and up.
- 2:22:46Yeah, it's like 80s to 90s. It's a G it's a G body. 9/11 air
- 2:22:51cooled turbo. It's beautiful.
- 2:22:53It's wide as fuck. It's wider than your house.
- 2:22:56I gotta look that up. That thing has crazy snap overs
- 2:22:58there. Man.
- 2:22:58Yeah, dude. Oh yeah.
- 2:23:00And it's air cooled of. Course and it's air cooled and
- 2:23:01it's turbo. That's Turbo was.
- 2:23:04Crazy. I would go nuts.
- 2:23:04Trying to go through these questions and not you know what,
- 2:23:07Carl? Don't have to hand me.
- 2:23:10Come on, you're already reading them.
- 2:23:11Dude, we're doing a good job. Just read them.
- 2:23:13Read some questions. Got it.
- 2:23:18Everybody sees my jail pants. Somebody made a comment on it,
- 2:23:22like within two seconds of being on.
- 2:23:23Here. Yeah, that's bad.
- 2:23:24Funny. This one's pretty good.
- 2:23:35That doesn't. Yeah, now you know my pain.
- 2:23:37Yeah. All right.
- 2:23:38Here. How about is it they're, they're
- 2:23:39they're mainly funny ones, but that's.
- 2:23:40Funny stuff. Ridiculous shit.
- 2:23:43Favorite pasta? Like what kind?
- 2:23:45Spaghetti, ziti, Rigatoni dittolini Penne, I guess.
- 2:23:50Penne. Penne yeah.
- 2:23:51I'm kind of boring. No, that's fine.
- 2:23:53Yeah. Penne or Rigatoni?
- 2:23:54I like you. Fuck with a dittolini.
- 2:23:56Do you know what that? Is I like Angel hair pasta?
- 2:23:58Angel hair pasta is the most fucking dittolini is funny.
- 2:24:02Angel hair pasta is a lot. You get a lot of bulk.
- 2:24:05That's the best bang for. Your Yeah, but Dittolini is easy
- 2:24:06to scoop it with a spoon so it could go from plate to mouth
- 2:24:09quick. True and.
- 2:24:13It's got a little holes in it, so then it holds the sauce a
- 2:24:16little. Are there any questions in there
- 2:24:17that hold any like value real weight?
- 2:24:20Yeah, this one. Favorite type of bird.
- 2:24:22What? The fuck.
- 2:24:25I don't even know what I would. I feel like I should give a
- 2:24:29realistic answer here. Actually I want a realistic
- 2:24:31answer from everybody. Frankie's favorite bird is the
- 2:24:35chicken. It's delicious.
- 2:24:37Yeah, you're right. You're not wrong one.
- 2:24:39Yeah, chicken. Are there different types of
- 2:24:42chicken? I don't think so.
- 2:24:46OK. So it's just chicken as a
- 2:24:48matter. Of fact, Yeah, just good old
- 2:24:50American rooster. I'd probably just go with
- 2:24:52chicken for my answer then, cuz they do taste good.
- 2:24:56It locked it, yeah. Here, I'll look at it.
- 2:24:58I mean, the rest of it was like. You didn't see anything that was
- 2:25:01good. No.
- 2:25:02All right, Throw it. I want it.
- 2:25:05Throw it. I wanted to.
- 2:25:10I wanted to definitely harp on the fact that Kenny's also
- 2:25:13Filipino. Hey, yeah, Yep, like the rest of
- 2:25:17us. And it's nice to see like
- 2:25:19somebody who's a little older than you, who's Filipino doing
- 2:25:22cool shit. Did you just include me in that?
- 2:25:24I feel honored. Well, yeah, technically we like.
- 2:25:28He said like the rest of he said Like the rest of us, right
- 2:25:30there. If you look at the, if you look
- 2:25:32at the. Video again, I said.
- 2:25:34Like. This.
- 2:25:34Oh fuck. Like I didn't go full circle, I
- 2:25:37said. All right, Well, like that, bro.
- 2:25:39Whatever. But thank you so much Kenny for
- 2:25:42coming. Yeah, if there's anything you
- 2:25:43want to plug out there of yours, but.
- 2:25:46Dude, do you still do those those meets at?
- 2:25:48Shake Shack. So I'm actually meeting with the
- 2:25:51GM tomorrow, dude, just to finalize the dates.
- 2:25:53I'm hungry. This whole time, Frankie was
- 2:25:55like, is how why we do. They do that meat over there and
- 2:25:58I'm like. Cuz I found out where you lived,
- 2:26:00I'm sure. I'm sure, Kenny, Why they do
- 2:26:01that? I'm sure, I'm sure Kenny has
- 2:26:03some sort of relationship with that person over there, you
- 2:26:05know? Like, yeah, the only reason that
- 2:26:07we do it there is one there's a new GM.
- 2:26:10But she's really nice. She used to be the manager, so
- 2:26:12she still works with us. But I did have a GM that was
- 2:26:16very, like flexible with us. And, you know, like Westchester,
- 2:26:22you know, you go to Jersey, you go to Connecticut, there's like
- 2:26:24all these cool meats. But we have a lot of people in
- 2:26:27Westchester, and there was never a Comeys.
- 2:26:28We always drove far. Yeah.
- 2:26:30So when Shake Shack said that they're willing to do it, we
- 2:26:32figured, let's do one over. There, dude.
- 2:26:35It was fun. And it's fun for us cuz it
- 2:26:37actually is kind of a cool drive.
- 2:26:38I mean, you get to go over Tappan Zee Bridge.
- 2:26:41Not for me. Well, I gotta go.
- 2:26:43I gotta go over the. Tappan Zee, but it's definitely.
- 2:26:46Further, I do want to shout out Mikey because Mikey.
- 2:26:49With he helps me a lot with milkshake Monday as far as like
- 2:26:53the dates and just help coordinating and if I'm late
- 2:26:55he's always there to make sure. Mikey helps me with everything.
- 2:26:59Yeah, Mikey is. With MMM Alamone.
- 2:27:02OK, I know that name. You definitely do.
- 2:27:04You would know him by face. He has a ponytail now though.
- 2:27:07Mikey helps me with everything. As hard as he have.
- 2:27:09Budgeting G35. It was a G35 originally, blue.
- 2:27:13I know that name Turbode. Yeah.
- 2:27:17Yeah, so. So it's Milkshake Monday.
- 2:27:19Yeah, Milkshake Monday and also my boy Andrew Stretch, he also
- 2:27:23helps me that, So these two guys, you know.
- 2:27:26Most delicious and car me and I ever went hey, hey.
- 2:27:29Yeah, and it's designed and we're gonna go back to invite
- 2:27:31only. OK, so a couple times we did it
- 2:27:33where we posted it, the flyer for like 2 days and.
- 2:27:36It was like. And people are doing like
- 2:27:37burnouts in from like my. God dude.
- 2:27:40Yeah, so back to invite only, back to, like, only people that.
- 2:27:45Are good people. Bring your kids, bring your
- 2:27:47wives. Come with the family.
- 2:27:49Side chicks, Side chicks if you want, you know.
- 2:27:51But you know, come there with incentives, just hanging out.
- 2:27:54Yeah, not not getting crazy. You want to bring quality cars
- 2:27:59and people. Like that super that was there
- 2:28:00when we went, you remember Chris, the green one, right?
- 2:28:04No, the Nardo Gray. Was it great?
- 2:28:06Was it great? Justin's No, it was.
- 2:28:08Stock. The car I'm talking about was
- 2:28:10stock, yeah. Oh, man.
- 2:28:13Let me tell you, he's a very nice guy.
- 2:28:15Yeah, and that car is pristine, man.
- 2:28:17Dude, Pristine mark for Supra. Like he'll be out there again.
- 2:28:22Yeah, that was crazy. I was like, this car is brand
- 2:28:23new. Yeah, it didn't even have a lot
- 2:28:25of miles. On it?
- 2:28:26I don't think no. It's like 3037 thousand
- 2:28:28something stupid. I brought my S13 to that lot
- 2:28:31before, yeah, that's why I know only good cars go there.
- 2:28:33That's, yeah, it's. True, my S hasn't been there.
- 2:28:36When we keep it invite only. Nice.
- 2:28:37All right, well, hopefully we get the invite.
- 2:28:39Um, and. Hopefully we'll think about it.
- 2:28:41Yeah. You.
- 2:28:41Think. About.
- 2:28:42And hopefully. We run into you at 7th.
- 2:28:45Day. Yeah. 7th day I'm.
- 2:28:46Sure. So definitely.
- 2:28:47But yeah, I mean, I'm looking forward to that.
- 2:28:50Chris, I think this time we should go to City.
- 2:28:52I said. That, you pussy, I said.
- 2:28:55That so I'll go, I can't. Sell Kenny the car.
- 2:28:58Dude, I. Don't know.
- 2:28:59Bro. This is what Chris has been
- 2:29:01doing. Yeah, let's go, let's go 7th day
- 2:29:03and then he just goes to Englewood or whatever and then
- 2:29:05leaves. Kind of fly wherever.
- 2:29:07It is. So I hope hopefully I don't blow
- 2:29:08up the spot, but what do you guys think about going to Harlem
- 2:29:11a little earlier? Because you know, if you leave
- 2:29:13with the lot? I'll do whatever you guys wanna
- 2:29:14do. I'm down with that too because
- 2:29:16my car is. That's the reason Chris never
- 2:29:19wanted to go there, cuz he says it gets crazy.
- 2:29:21Crazy. So now damn, this is like on the
- 2:29:24podcast. No, we'll.
- 2:29:25Just talk about this later about it on the podcast.

- 2:32:02the ghost conversation. Yeah, using his hour.

- 2:32:16theories. Yeah, they're here for

- 2:32:24Yes. Thank you for driving down here
- 2:32:25and having Carl interrupt you every 5 minutes.

- 2:33:52That's the only downside with that.
- 2:33:56And then racing line is, is it called racing line?
- 2:33:58What's the origin? One yeah racing line.
- 2:34:00No, no, no drift line or something.
- 2:34:03Drift line or something. Origin one, I don't know.
- 2:34:06I'm not really a big fan of it. Forget what it's it looks like
- 2:34:09that. But I'm not a big fan of it.
- 2:34:10The EUR one though, is it nails everything sick.

- 2:34:17your next best bet. And the Eta's are pretty fast, I
- 2:34:22would say. I'd say four to five months
- 2:34:25personally. I've seen EUR and M sports stuff
- 2:34:27come that fast. I've seen it come faster that
- 2:34:29I've seen it arrive in two months.
- 2:34:31Seen you come faster than that. That might be a little too dirty
