- 0:09[SPEAKER_02]: These are the conversations one out of the sun is the access as they grow through life in the manhoods and no topics of limits.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_02]: I want to host these songs.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm your host, Jake Black.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: Take black.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna ask you how you said that.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm good man.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: We, we uncle traveling back.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm literally one hour off the road coming in town from Houston and in a few hours.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_01]: Literally.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: Jumpin' on the flight to New Orleans and get to pre-trip.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: Pre-trip for your trip, man.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, everything good.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: What's your got going?
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm good in the first of all.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_02]: I know the reason you go.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_02]: Condosis.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: Precious for your family and all of those that are impacted.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure there'll be a celebration of a beautiful life.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: Just wanted to say that.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm doing I, man.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: Got some traction.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm getting excited about
- 1:00[SPEAKER_02]: Cause again, lately it's been a thing we talking about, like children know nothing that we insured or know what we showed them what we did and so on and they're talking about repairing cars was one of them.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't mentioned on here I mentioned it on social media when I went live that he might have gotten accident.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_02]: So he might need for reference if you haven't been following the show is a child that I say it's on autopilot.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I don't know if she's listening because I want to put no more pressure on her.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_02]: That'll tell her please.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: See, you know, every, all, all my children I love differently of equal value.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: She's, she's, she's, she's the more mature child.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_02]: So she had to, she had to spend the bender and the day I went around to the shops trying to get some praises and all of that.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I realized the hey, oh, my name.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: Stay.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my name.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing that I want to do every day.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_02]: But I was like, man, I'm, I'm glad that
- 1:50[SPEAKER_02]: I had a background in a, I was taught certain things about life.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_02]: On par for discussions that allowed me to go do that.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I told you, I told you some other people that people have more information than me, but I wasn't intimidated about going out in solution in this thing.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: Which leads to the discussion point today.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: Hello.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want any to rip you.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: I got two things.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: Go.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like, share and subscribe.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: That part.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_02]: And let's go ahead and hit the people with the twony line.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_02]: This on twony light prom stuff.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_02]: We'll tell you the fact of parenting.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for the orders.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: They are trickling in.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to flood against the open, I'm cool with that too.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: Physical book and ebook are linked below.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's changed my life right now.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's a process.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: So it does require some work.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: If you're not ready to do the work, get the book.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: So that when you ready to do the work, you have the book, but I, it is enhanced my communication and my relationship with my children.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: That's love.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: So that, it's an event of that if you're wondering what it was.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate that.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_02]: My brother, yes sir.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_02]: Get into it man.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_02]: Today, he doesn't know what, he knows the sadness to me.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't know what the topic is, but it is a topic from the bank.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: So you, you've seen it, but I don't know that your eyes were on it in preparation.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: Don't let me be your ceiling.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: Talks.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: Because I think that was mine.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think so.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: Don't stop where I am.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like don't don't don't use me as a go.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a mile marker.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: But as you know on the journey of mile markers, not the destination.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: a position indicated and indicated that I've come to this point, but I still got some more to go.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, don't stop with me.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_02]: And that's the point, man.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's a it came from a post that I did probably two years ago.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: Um, there's my ceiling is your floor.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, Lord.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_02]: So yes, take all of what we work to the bill that has topped out for me at this point of life because I'm not finished building you not finished building.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_02]: So the ceiling the ceiling is not a
- 4:03[SPEAKER_02]: The ceiling as it is right now, just an indicator of the progress that we've made is not the final destination.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_02]: But that one resonated because of what was happening in the comments.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: So follow some TikTok at J Black at podcast underscore pops is me and
- 4:24[SPEAKER_02]: My page has the money.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_02]: Jay is starting to post.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_02]: He's starting to post.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to collection of everything, go to my page, follow both of us.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_02]: You'll get it in aggregate, but right now, everything is on my page.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: And the post was about from the last episode, you were talking about an update.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_02]: on the school to situation this time, right?
- 4:46[SPEAKER_02]: You, you, and that's one thing I want to put up.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_02]: You thought it was a good idea initially because you came across a deal to get you on the school to make life more convenient.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_02]: We had an overhead round table and that was little, that was a little questioning about your pathness.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: Like are you, are you leaning in too much?
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: Are you being too
- 5:07[SPEAKER_02]: to ease you all, right?
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: And it was referencing our lens.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: We were walking the campus.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: Night as a punishment, but that's what you did and that's what you met people.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_02]: So the logic was there, but long and behold, your son goes for the summer session and finds out that the culture is such that everybody on wheels.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: everybody.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: So that, and I said in the description, the post really is not about scooters.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's about what lands you see through thinking that the old way is better now and finding out that something new might need to be considered, right?
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: We are outdated, outdated.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: And find with that, you know, some people must have heard the first fifteen seconds in which straight comment, because we got, we got the gamin of it.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: Some people understood it.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: Some students were saying,
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: Walking was the best thing for me.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: Students were saying that.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the, that's the probably the most accurate perspective.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: Depending on the size of their campus, because that takes into account and the weather and, you know, all of that.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: But we were getting to it.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_02]: But the ones that, you know, you can have a thousand great comments and one that just get under your skin.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm trying people.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_02]: I promise you.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_02]: I pop off in my head, but then I realized, my initial response would absolutely give me cancer at some point.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: If I ever, you know me.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, I was wearing that.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 6:52[SPEAKER_02]: Don't focus on that, people.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's not my fault.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: But what the couple of comments were, see, this generation always wants the old heads, always wanted to hold us back.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: The one that really drove me was, this is why black people.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_02]: Most of the time when you start like that, I'm all ripped.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_02]: My head is already cocked to the side.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like, who like, what is your authority?
- 7:15[SPEAKER_02]: But please, Tim.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_02]: But this is why we as black people won't get anywhere because we want to, the parents want to make their children suffer.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_02]: Another one was generation X and baby boomers are the first generations to hate their children.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_02]: I said, I said, oh, I said, oh, I said, oh, I said, oh, I said, it's not about a scooter, but over the scooter.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: The dad said absolutely give him a scooter while he wanted to walk the class and be tired.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_02]: That's a path.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_03]: And then I started thinking offline.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_03]: What does progress really look like?
- 7:52[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe progress looks like the sun is going to school.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_03]: On the parent.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_03]: Please, not alone in sight.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_02]: Please, maybe progress looks like the sun already has a car is on his second car.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: Please, I wish I had a hedgehog.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: Please, not a charge in sight.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: Please, we're talking about.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's good.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: Which all are making it about is hating on your child by not giving him a scooter because you don't want them to have convenience.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: And is that a thing?
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Is that even a thing?
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: You said that how dare you put something in place that will have your child tired when he gets to class?
- 8:40[SPEAKER_02]: on the campus that they live on, that's designed.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_02]: And within mind, the students are going to be walking.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: Walking to class, carrying books.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: If that exhausts your child, you failed long before this conversation.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_01]: If your child's, because you're hating, if you make them do that.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: If your son can't walk from his dorm, I don't care if it's from to the back for it.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: If he cannot walk,
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: carrying books from wherever, to wherever.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: Without it being, oh, you, he's torturing him.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_01]: He's exhausted.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: The race is lost.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: You're done.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: You're done.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: Call him back to the house and home college, educate him at that point.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: Cause come on man, what are you setting him up for?
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: What are you building for in life at that point?
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we can, we can take a left turn and run this name down the hill.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so to come back.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't get confirmation that people that were commenting on a live were also the people that commented.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, post.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I couldn't remember all of them.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: I was there in the like, hey, come to the front.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_02]: Please say it with your chance on the couple a couple a few folks, you know, stated that position.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: And what I realized, I was like number one, I had to keep saying this people coming in.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_02]: The post was not about scooters.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_02]: There's no broad stroke.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: Everything works this way.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: The other thing was, oh, so you want you to try to do it with everybody else's doing?
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes in a specific instance, what the majority of people are doing is the right thing to do.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: Or is it the way they may be doing it might not be the right way that might be a better way, but getting to class that way might be the right way.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: If you think about going to work, when you go to work, do you go against the grain of the company doing the policies and procedures, these are the SOPs?
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going that way because my parents told me never to be like everybody likes people stopping.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes, if you're being different for the sake of being different, it's counterproductive anyway.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: And expensive.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like you can be the first to do a thing, but it's typically cost you something.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_02]: And hopefully going against the grain was worth it.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_03]: But anyhow, on the top of the day, I want to, of course, have a conversation about how we're selling being their floor.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_02]: And we both agree with that.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: I could see, you know, you're not in your head.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: And I know who you are.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: But how are we actually ensuring the day understand it?
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: Are there things in conversation that we're having directly?
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: Are there seeing things in us and our actions and our conversations with others that may give them a different perspective, right?
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be honest sometimes.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: I am nervous about
- 11:30[SPEAKER_02]: What they're seeing me go through because what if this platform is not successful?
- 11:34[SPEAKER_02]: We're big invested as a family in this thing working.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, so the beauty of it is they're getting lessons from it as I figure things out.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, but I'm really like
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: If this doesn't work the way I think it should work, what does that actually show them?
- 11:51[SPEAKER_02]: If I walk away from this thing because I don't think it's working on my timeline, what does that show them?
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: So I want to have a conversation in the context of that because in certain times, certain instances, I think about it, but in my everyday actions, I'm not sure that I'm promoting that message.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_02]: go beyond me.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_02]: So let's love what I mean, you know, your initial thoughts in terms of like just general assessment of how you've showed up and with it, how that may be interpreted by your kids in terms of my dad want me to go beyond.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: He want me to excel beyond what he's done, blatant, blatant conversation.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: And I like, like, I'm always, you see it, I'm always on the go feet moving, moving.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking to them.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like, when I do return, do I, when I do come back or show back up, I'm sitting down, like, listen, explaining the importance of why I'm going.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: I had not been doing that so much lately.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: And the little, they actually made a comment to my wife about how frequent or how much I'm going now.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, my older son before he went off the cottage.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: Um, your family, they'll, I always had, uh, I've always been taught that that people don't say something they'll laugh when they're saying it, but they're still saying that truth here.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: So you have to steal pay attention to what the company is or what they're saying.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: and my son and my wife had a conversation about my schedule and my activity and my movement, right?
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, my son kind of jokingly said, what are you doing?
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what do you have going on that you have to be on the move on the move?
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm always, I know he's sick of it, but I always turn the conversation into
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: Hey man, I'm trying to show you how to make sure when you look back.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: If your family look at you like, hey, what we doing, you always have something or a plan or a movement.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: Look around.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: It may look like this is a good point to sit down and kind of kick your feet up and breathe a little bit.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: No sir, we still have a drive if you wield that.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: This can be gone tomorrow.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like everything that you see today, your comforts of life right now, your life as you know it can absolute change in a twenty-four hour period.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: Because the other serious conversation we're having in my household is the eggs being in one basket.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: Like we're very concentrated right now.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: It works out.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: However, it goes against
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: My principal and my wife, principal as well.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: Because she actually, she rattled my gaze here recently.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: Same thing.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: And I think because we do have candid conversations in transparent conversations with each other.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: And those conversations are had in front of the children.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: Like a lot of people are always, I'm a firm believer in letting children beat children.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_01]: So I try not to dump too much adult.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: problems or issues or focus on children too quickly.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_01]: That way it's you robbed them of their childhood and their innocence.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: They have to be aware.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want them to be mindless and brainless and think that they're living in a fairytale.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: But there's their stages for exposure.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: So with my son going away to college, we're having these conversations with him about
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: don't fluff this off.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you have a major opportunity right now.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: We have this going on and we're challenging each other.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: She's looking at another endeavor that she's sparking off into and I'm like, man, huh?
- 15:44[SPEAKER_01]: I better get on the ball like this first thing and the second thing and now I'm still.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: So now we're having conversations about the importance of diversifying.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm having I'm trying to use trigger words and and words that he can identify as.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: the mentality of forward thinking.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: Focus on energy.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: Energy is important.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: Focus on portfolio.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: Focus on diversity.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: Focus on trying to form allegiances.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: Talk to other people.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: I generation always had a prideful beat myself on the chest.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: Look what I had done.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: Look what I got.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: And we kind of caught on to the trend late in my opinion as a whole.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: the importance of partnership, sharing information, sharing information, team up.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like it was taboo to talk to our fathers and grandfathers.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: A stranger certainly couldn't just walk up on a black man and say, I was wondering, do you make a year?
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like what do you do?
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: What do you do to make money?
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: Can you do that now?
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm fine.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: We're.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_02]: You can work besides somebody and then I want to tell you what they make any cool games.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_01]: And it's the policy at the company.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: Believe it or not is some companies and corporations would terminate you for discussing your salary with your co-worker.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because now they're perhaps yours is higher.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: You're a problem.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's dissension.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: Cause now they're coming in.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, man, this guy, we showed the show there every day.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: And he's making this much more than me.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're having these conversations about value and worth at home, constantly, they ought to touch with reality.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_01]: Children have no idea.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: They have no idea what their lifestyle looks like.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: I told you, I pulled them in the kitchen, him and his cousin.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_01]: Look around.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: Like if y'all had to go out into the world right now,
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: What's your monthly budget for living?
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: If you had to go get, then I gave them parameters.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: You need a car, you need an apartment, because you're not going to jump out of here and go buy a house.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: Car apartment, food, go.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think you need to live?
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's ridiculous.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: Give me two thousand, two thousand what?
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: A month?
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: So in the end, you're in DFW, you're in the Dallas Fort Worth area now.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm telling you how much it costs to get a middle of the road apartment.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: A car insurance, gas, food.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't bought a single pair of shoes.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't paid insurance.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'll drive a motorbike.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't know what that is, salute, wrestling piece, the mouth of the mall.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: I want to deal from the cows below this.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_02]: That's probably one of the most pivotal episodes.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_02]: The one that you make these and everything.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_02]: You scared if you think your brain is going to ooze out your ears.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_02]: And it was that conversation about Theo.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_02]: have not having an understanding of actually what it takes in life, and the father was challenging him at that moment to understand so that he could be better and thrive in life.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_02]: This won't say that was why it, not much more than one of the past.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: It is, it is.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_01]: So think about if you think you're looking at my ceiling, if you were.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: The importance of this not being your ceiling.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: Inflation, like right now what you're looking at, it costs this to recreate what you're looking at right now in today's market.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_02]: And pause you right there because for me, the way that we got here, it's not likely that they can duplicate that because I didn't own any of it.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_02]: I was able to zigzag and thank God, he pulled me along and corporate this pretty quickly.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_02]: So I was able to get to a place where
- 19:31[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we were able to create a lifestyle.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_02]: But even that is like that that's an exposure for me.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_02]: And how we're going to maintain this lifestyle, the way the adjustments we have to make to this lifestyle and then the dead life is is gone.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: And they've seen this.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: I'm I'm approached.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm closer to three years and I am the two in terms of being on the corporate.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_02]: So all of that matters and you said something about coming up, it wasn't likely that you could ask somebody or that a man or having you framed it.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_02]: I do want to talk about what we saw coming up because sometimes conversations with older generations when we were younger,
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: And hindsight, we're limiting what it was based on what they understood.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I think about in terms of like conversations with my grandmother, both my grandmother's, and I only knew my grandmother a grandfather.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_02]: But both my grandmother's, my mom and my dad's mom were very frugal.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: So that conversations were based on it was never about having the abundance of, it was never about having more, it was always about being grateful for what you have, thank God for what you have.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_02]: And there's value in that.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_02]: having that only, only that perspective all your life.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_02]: You think that that's, you think that the ceiling is the ceiling.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: It's ours.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's the family ceiling from generation to generation.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: So what, what was your experience going up in terms of conversations you were exposed to that either in hindsight, and maybe maybe only looking at it right now for the first time?
- 21:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like man, that was a real limited perspective.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: Not that you have a disdain form, but it was like man.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_02]: Thank God, I don't think like that anymore, or, or conversations intentional, like, boy, you never beat it.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to, we're going to, we're going to have to the factor.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: Now the coming up, everything, it's funny because to this day, to this day, my, my elders still have the mentality of nest egg.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: Everything's
- 21:40[SPEAKER_01]: make it, make it, make it, stack, stack, stack, put it away, put it away, put it away, put some money over here, put some money over here, stack, shit, store it, rainy day, you got money stuff, you got money, took literally, he didn't, and so now, and it's, come on, yeah.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: So at our last family reunion, my, my dad's side, we have a family reunion every August.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's actually coming up this year.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: And last year,
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: uncles are sitting around and talking about money stashes the biggest thing that everybody did was they they acquired land they always go by land they buy vehicles and then they they sit even as the vehicle gets older they sit them up you don't say or something
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but we about to start looking like free.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's time for me to do it.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: We can't hold everything.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: So now I tried to have a conversation with my uncles last year about the importance of net present value.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like your next egg, I get it.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: But a hundred dollars today is not a hundred dollars tomorrow.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: You just lost eight dollars.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_01]: The spending power.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm talking to them about spending power.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: And you can see somebody faces kind of like, oh, you pissing in my cornflakes and I don't, don't do this.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm I'm I'm trying to.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_01]: You can't just go in and say that what they're doing is wrong.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying that it's wrong.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying that integrate.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like how open are you?
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: Because I'm not trying to come in and bull those and bully them.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like this was how I'm going to start doing from now on.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm introducing conversations to see how they receive it.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I do the same thing with my kids.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm trying to get nieces and nephews to come sitting in on the conversation as well.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: Because they're passing by and they're hearing words.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm trying to share information that I've been exposed to.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: if you have this lump and this lump and this lump don't touch everything let's try something take one of those lumps and go do this and see don't this lump grow into what those two lumps have and that'll help you realize maybe under the mattress ain't what I thought it was you know what I mean because now you
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: might not be a trade in bills in the UK.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: So now you're looking at the different currencies or change in the environment, it's changing.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: So I give them credit.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: They were trying to instill what they knew was the winning recipe.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: So I go do hard work, do good work, that's reputable, that if someone sees it, you can stand on it.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's your pride.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_01]: And now they're going to a fair dollar for a fair wage, a fair wage for a fair day is work.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: So now as you get it, don't live as though you got it.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: Take that and put it away, put it away.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_01]: So now, imagine that's their ceiling.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_01]: Their ceiling is I have four stash coffee to put this money away.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_01]: Whereas our ceiling, that's our floor.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_01]: Now I do need to make the money in acquired.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: But now what am I going to do with it?
- 24:50[SPEAKER_01]: I can't stash it because now it's dying.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like we have a firm grasp on understanding that we can't just let money sit in the bank.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's not doing anything anymore.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: We're actively trying to, let me try to invest in something.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: Let me put this in something.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's the new.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: So now we have to grab our children.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: And if that's the next window, the other window that we don't understand is the AIs and the crypto's.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: And so that I'm having these conversations.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know all of the answers, but if I if I poke you enough and create that curiosity within you, you can perhaps go do some research on your new found understanding because this your age group, you don't have old information that you have to unlearn that conflicts with what the new information is.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: This new information is being released right now.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's all you know.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not taboo.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going against the grain.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's not
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't make sense based on what I already understand money as to them they're learning upfront that money is a tool.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_01]: We learned money was treasure.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: We have to unlearn that money is treasure and try to convince ourselves that money is a tool.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_01]: Whereas if you're teaching your children now, scratch that treasure crap, this is a tool.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great point.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: Put this tool to work.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's a great point.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_02]: One thing that came to mind is the value in having the conversations
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: then understand what they know and what you would say, what you do with your children now.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: The throughline in all of it is that the conversation is necessary because there's a there's a danger of and not having the conversation.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_02]: Your children may be exposed to something that they don't even trust you with the discussion.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying trust because you've done something wrong, but they've never heard you even talk about it.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_02]: You've never had a conversation about this.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_02]: So now I'm leaning to this.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_02]: And I think about it in my perspective and it's not that my parents, we didn't have a deep conversation about what we have a lot of them down.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_02]: Thank God, I still have access to them.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_02]: But when I started looking at what entrepreneurship started becoming attractive to me, I didn't think that they were, that there was value in discussing it with them because I didn't see them do it.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: only to find out that they had their version of it.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like they pursued, you know, I mean, I'm not putting that down, but like that was somebody had a conversation with them that sparked it and it's the same set up because I ended up in, you know, trying to try to try to end my limb.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_02]: The most love I'm all gonna think.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: But when somebody introduces you to something, that's what I'm going with, you get that stop and the grocery stores, hey, you keep your options open, you keep your options open to different sorts of income.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: And now, because you made that up, had that conversation, they even put them in, right?
- 27:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm this is not a knock.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_02]: I know some people that are very successful in them, but my point is,
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: I want to be a trusted source of conversation, even if I don't have the answer on anything with my children, specifically money.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_02]: And even though today, I can't tell them all of what to do.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_02]: I can tell them what has it hasn't worked for me and what I believe.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't want them to go through life and then, again, I have three adult children in the house now.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_02]: And even when they're out of the house,
- 28:12[SPEAKER_02]: they start, they see something that's attractive and they can't see it for what it is because they don't have any reference of having that conversation with a trusted source like a parent.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_02]: How did you get to the mindset that you have now?
- 28:31[SPEAKER_02]: Because it kind of contrasts with what you're talking about.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_02]: And me too, what was the thing?
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: What was the stage in your life?
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, we always wish
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it could happen earlier, you'd be this much further along, hindsight, the money money quarterback.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: But what changed for you, will you realize the ceiling is not yours?
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: A childhood of running out of money before the end of the month got there.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: That was a reality.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_02]: Like more month than money.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: Every, a bright, every single month.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: The end of the month.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: There was a money was not a thing.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: We counted days to get to the beginning of the next month to try to get into a mode of, it was scratching survive.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_01]: So there was a lot of misunderstanding.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: There was a lot of trying to come to terms with why there's not enough of something or a resource.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: We just don't have like that became a reality to where
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: asking for things wasn't even a thing anymore.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't touch that.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: Don't ask for that.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to store.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's a no activity presenting themselves at school.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't want to do it at, you know, because I figured like I didn't want to be burdened on the household, right?
- 29:49[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not going to go home and ask for this because I already see my mom doesn't have it.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: She doesn't have the money for this, this and this.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: Why would I come in and ask for a classroom?
- 29:59[SPEAKER_01]: Why would I come in and say, hey, they doing this at school, they take a trip or a senior trip or they have this extra curricular activity and all my teachers say, hey, they really enjoy what I'm doing in class.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: I should go on this trip.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: I should go to Washington DC and pursue this.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_01]: I could perhaps end up in an attorney or lawyer.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: not asking my mom, then she won't have any money to send me on the trip.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_01]: So because I hated that feeling and despised how it made me feel and the embarrassment of it, actually, that was fuel for me.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: So once I got out, I told you, man, I refused to look back.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: I could not.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: Once I graduated high school, I had no idea, no earthly idea how I was going to go to college.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: I had no earthly idea of what I was doing after high school.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: Those conversations were not being had with me.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: They just were not surrounded by brilliant people.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to set up the first person in my family that went to college.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: I have uncles and all types of aunts and relatives that went to college.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: But everyone assumes you're doing so well in high school and your grades are good in your playing sports and athletics and you're an ROTC.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_01]: You got to figure that.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_01]: You're on the path so I keep doing what you're doing.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: It was a lot of that.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: You're good.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: Keep doing what you're doing.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm good, just like the platform, the premise of, dear side.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: Don't accept.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: So in high school, it's good.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: And that's it.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: And we don't ask another question.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: We take their word of it's good because that's all they know how to say.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's what we want to hear.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's what we want to hear.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: That's all we know how to ask.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: And that's all they know how to say.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: So we both just check the box and move on, not knowing that that young man's head is spinning.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: He has no idea, definitely afraid of what life looks like.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: a recruiter to your point about the male limb.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody had this conversation with you about it.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody had this conversation with me about it.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_01]: So you're susceptible to these conversations and you're uninformed.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: A recruiter walked right up on me at school and talked to me about, are you going to college?
- 32:13[SPEAKER_01]: He's asking thought provoking questions.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: What are you doing at the high school?
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: Have no idea.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: What do you want to do?
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: Go to school.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: How are you gonna do it?
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: Parents got money later round.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: You've already done your research.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_01]: You know my family had a kind of breath laying around.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: The military, man, and you can do this, you could do this.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_01]: I jumped on it.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: Jumped in that, did the National Guard, because I mean, you can go to school right now, while you're in the military.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: You come home, you go to a drill one weekend a month, two weeks in the summer, and you're in school right now.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: Comes like bed, but that's the both worlds.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_01]: He took a ride with my partner down the college.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: Family didn't take me and drop me off to school.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: I just dropped my spoon off the college.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: Who?
- 32:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what that looks like.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: That was brand new for me.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: I have no idea what taking my kid to college and setting his room up and taking you to the store to buy your necessities.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: I have no idea.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_02]: How dare you not get my scooter?
- 33:14[SPEAKER_01]: You had a hitchhike.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_01]: I caught a ride with my own boy put a duffel bag full of clothes to go to college and you're talking to me about you scared my son gonna be tired walking across campus with his books to go to class.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: So with that being said, we lose a certain level of intensity because that thirst of I felt the have not the failure.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: We do so much with such great parents that we are terrible parents.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: We don't let these, they don't know what they have no clue what defeat tastes like.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_01]: Defeat, the taste of losing
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: will make you say you'll never do this to me again, every in your life.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: They don't know what that feels like.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: All they know is adversity means outreach.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: Problem, call somebody.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: Oh no, this isn't going my way.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: Help.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the other side of this wall looks like.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: Check my GPS and pull up my phone and pull up a map with a camera that's going show me the other side of the wall.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_01]: They don't step out on faith.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_01]: They don't step out on.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how this gonna turn out.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna give it a shot.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: If it hurts, I know I have to come back to the drawing board.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: Come over to another playing regroup.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: and go with that thing again.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: They are so used to somebody making certain that they succeed on the first try that if it does not work out they quit.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about that because again one of the comments was about it should be progress.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: If there's never a test
- 34:56[SPEAKER_02]: or an experience that allows them to understand something that they wouldn't have understood any other way.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_02]: How do you take the family beyond all of the information that we have?
- 35:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_02]: Give them every opportunity.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, with every opportunity with every lesson that we've learned, if they don't go make numerous stakes and learn new information,
- 35:17[SPEAKER_02]: the generations become stagnant, no?
- 35:19[SPEAKER_02]: Because then you have their children living off the information that we gave them.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_02]: And if we got that from our parents, now you three, four, five generations in, what is the actual progress of never having experience?
- 35:33[SPEAKER_02]: I like how you said the taste of, we say the taste of defeat, the taste of defeat is real.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_02]: And again, it's not, it's not, we are never promoting such a children up for failure.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: But some things that we book because we have the experience, we have the authority to say that this will help you develop.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: You can't see it now.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't see it then.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_02]: And yours is probably not going to look like us.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_02]: Your walking to campus is on campus is our version of maybe walking to work or right, whatever the other thing is.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_02]: It is not setting you back.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: That is a valuable experience that you won't understand how far it'll take you in life because clearly you only want to go as far as I went.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_02]: If that's the case.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_02]: If that's the case.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_03]: Have you ever been guilty of deflating one of your children's dreams?
- 36:31[SPEAKER_02]: And not even in the sense of hate or where am I?
- 36:36[SPEAKER_02]: I don't.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_02]: I don't, I don't, I don't think that's you.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: That's my caveat.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_02]: I was already saying it, but right, right, right.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_02]: Whoever's listening, however it showed up, I'm not specifically talking about a calculated, I want to see you fail.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm a virtual bubble, but maybe because their dream intimidated you, like their dream was bigger than what you could actually
- 37:02[SPEAKER_02]: Imagine or comprehend.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_02]: You couldn't pull it into the terms of your world.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_02]: And you gave them even a look of
- 37:16[SPEAKER_02]: What you doing?
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: Because again, it's not another thing I want to insert there because you made a point of the more mocked and money creates an environment in the house where behaviors can dictate what a child believes.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_00]: Correct.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_02]: Even if there was no conversation,
- 37:32[SPEAKER_02]: Whether you're mom said we can't do this or not or you just knew you couldn't do it because you asked so many times or you saw how she looked at the end of the month that would that stress look like.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_02]: So you did not ask.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like that creates a limitation as well.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: So it's not only what you say, but again, have you ever been a dream killer?
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: My hook a crew unintentionally and not the the idea of
- 38:00[SPEAKER_01]: The idea was bigger than I could fathom.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm kind of like you by now more than you can chew.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: I steer clear of that because I'm a firm believer and I've had ideas that have rocked people to their core.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a firm believer and it's not your vision.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: If it was meant for you to understand it,
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: God would have given you the vision.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: You're not going to understand it.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_01]: I actually talked to them about being careful about sharing ideas with certain people because if they can't think outside of their own structure, they're going to tell you that it just does not make sense.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: energy or space, but I know I've done it because of just how I approach ideas.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: If a friend or a family person I care about, if they present an idea to me, my initial knee jerk reaction, the way I receive it is, you're going to show me.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_01]: You have to show me that you really, you own this.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_01]: You can't just come to me and say, I'm about to open the restaurant.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: You already know what I'm about to do.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_01]: What, what do you serve it?
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: What's the market research?
- 39:11[SPEAKER_01]: You have to supply chain there, relocate.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: Who cost?
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: What are you going to get the material?
- 39:15[SPEAKER_01]: Did people like that there?
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: What is your capital look like?
- 39:17[SPEAKER_01]: Where does that sit?
- 39:18[SPEAKER_01]: What are you going to do for the building?
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: How big is the building?
- 39:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm asking questions to help you develop the idea, but it may come across as, you're trying to discourage me.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_01]: You're talking me down.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: I have a, I have a brother.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's my cousin on paper, but we literally grew up in the same house, ninety percent of our lives.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: So we recognize each other as brothers.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_01]: And he's a grinder.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't get it.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: World traveled, very, very successful made a quite a space for himself.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_01]: But he over the years, he'll always present an idea to me.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_01]: Man, we need to do this.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: I go into my, my, my spiel.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: Well, what does this look like?
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: Why we gonna do it?
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: And he, he, one year, he got
- 40:03[SPEAKER_01]: extremely frustrated.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: He said, man, every time I bring you an idea, you tear it down before we can even start to talk about how successful it could be.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_01]: So I had to explain, I'm not tearing it down.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to get an understanding.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_01]: You single.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_01]: You didn't have any kids at the time.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: I got kids.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: I got wife.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: I can't just jump off the bridge and if it doesn't work, we're going to just roll in this dish.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to regroup and we're going to come out running and do it again.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: No, sir, it has to be a bit more calculated for me.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I need a better understanding.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I can see and I do my children like that.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_01]: I had to ease up because again, they're not.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: And when you're first introduced in your children to a concept or two a thing or a certain way to do things, it's easy for them to get discouraged.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the internet that skin gets thick, right?
- 40:53[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're attacking them and you want to, you almost want to be this playing role.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like, man, I'm just telling you, I'm trying to sell pickles at the school.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_01]: And people like the pickles.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_01]: I know we can get percussive.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: You ask me that I get a waiver sign.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: What are you going to come to do?
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: How are you picking a spicy spice percussive?
- 41:11[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to pay with the market price?
- 41:13[SPEAKER_01]: Deal the sweet.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: Which I'm going to give you more than a dollar for a pickle than if they're ninety five cents at the store.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: How you going to sell this for a nickel?
- 41:19[SPEAKER_02]: We got sensitizing this.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: How do you go to class the barrier of a sandwich?
- 41:23[SPEAKER_02]: What's your marketing career?
- 41:24[SPEAKER_01]: So I think I overkill.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_01]: So I have to turn that off.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot help it.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: But if you're talking to your children, please be aware that you could quite possibly make them same time.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, just forget it.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk to mom next time.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_01]: The fall plan.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: We'll go talk to mom and talk to the daddy.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: Well, ask me damn near for a loan or some five that I did.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: I find the answer to almost ask him.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_02]: You're asking for a company.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_02]: A stake in the company.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_01]: Asking for some equity.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_01]: Asking for some equity.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_01]: Because I see you keep speed balling past these.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm going to have you, sir.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_01]: Been a dream killer or later, please.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_02]: And this is not Pat Pat myself in the back energy.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think
- 42:13[SPEAKER_02]: I would say no in my initial response, because I knew I was a dreamer.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm very conscious of that, where it may be interpreted as dream killing is, if what I see, you lose interest, I lose interest.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_02]: And then it may have been opportunities for me to push that thing along and that it just be a research of energy.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: But like I love it until you own like it.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_02]: But that's not how life works, right?
- 42:40[SPEAKER_02]: Because you can have a job that people that say they love that job don't like it every day.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_02]: So that there's a, there's value and pushing through it.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't think I mentioned, I think I mentioned on the live like in, in instance of that, in application that not necessarily about dream killing.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I don't know.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_02]: Because they might have had an accident and hurt her.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_02]: She didn't think she could drive her car, which it needs some repairs and
- 43:05[SPEAKER_02]: until we figured out what was going on, you could drive your car.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_02]: But she volunteers at a medical facility.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_02]: She's on a medical track at school, honors college, like so all of that make again.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't apologize.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_02]: She was filling down on herself.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, hey, you know, we'll be supposed to volunteer this week.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just not going this week.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_02]: So, hey, I would, I would, and I had to didn't send my initial response because my initial response probably would have gotten me canceled.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_02]: But it did not cancel, but they probably would have deflated her.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_02]: So I had to think about, say, hey, if I were you, I recommend reconsidering your volunteering schedule, sometimes life sucks, but we keep moving.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_02]: We don't figure this out.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_02]: It was like cool.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_02]: I need to go to dance, such as such.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_02]: So that, so an application in that, why I could have said,
- 43:55[SPEAKER_02]: and keeping it on the same question, there are times in the past where I probably might have accepted that.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_02]: And in my heart, I had been like, you just given up, but not saying nothing.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_02]: And I say the thing about it until I used it to make a point about it later.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_02]: You gave up on that, well, and that's not even, that's probably worse.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I think I can do a better job of holding them accountable to their dream.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_02]: Because again, my kids are spread out.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_02]: Twenty one, nineteen, eighteen, eleven and ten.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_02]: Edentering swell this week.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_02]: So the dreams are.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_02]: Some are still.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like we're eating.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to make a soap line.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to make me a millionaire.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_02]: Garden of Eden.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's the name of she out loud.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_02]: My son said he wanted to do a teaser like he was drawing stuff.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_02]: And.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: I'm guilty of loving that and so they start talking about it and then I let us off the hook.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the, I, I'll, I'll own that as a version of a, of dream.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes, maybe sometimes the, the, the duty is to be life support for the dream.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's a fact and I, like you say, I action could be the biggest dream killer.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_01]: More so than the words.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_01]: So you don't have to say it where like you say it, it could be that look.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_02]: I try to be very mindful of that because it's the number one of my faces.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_02]: You go watching over time, you might have picked up on some stuff.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_02]: Try to be more conscious of it, but my face with it.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't want the truth from me, I just wouldn't recommend asking me because I'm a professional.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_02]: I can give you a whole message.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_02]: That's not worth it.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_02]: So with them, I try to be constant because, you know, he's, you know, he never told the teacher like, do you know how much it got in it, but the thing about it is also.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_02]: We have all the equipment here.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_02]: So, he didn't want to make soap because our mom makes candles.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's here.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_02]: And, and, and, and, and, um, since like room sprays and all that, it was night here.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's crazy.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: That he's really in the wheel.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: It was night in the office.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, we get up.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_02]: I saw that I saw the equipment that we have in the inventory that we have, and I want to turn it into this.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's really what they're saying if I'm honest about it.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_02]: That's exactly what they're saying.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_01]: Look what I got left right here.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: You telling me what that was.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: That was it.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: And for me, not to go out there and turn the heat press on, but to turn on the the embroidered machine.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that's the week week.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_02]: We saw that dream on life support and we put a plug for the plug.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: So that's that's fair.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_02]: That's fair.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think I I think that was gonna come out.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's what that's what I think that was come up.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: He's conversation.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's gonna come out.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we are, you know, we at that point.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: Again, if you've made it as far in the show, say something.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, say some say say I will keep my my children accountable today dreams let us know maybe that maybe though maybe the first person to do that we'll get a book Come on somebody maybe that's what happened the first person to do that we'll get a book So the comments get do that the comics one hundred yeah, I will hold my children accountable to the dreams put that in the in the comments.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'll send you a book
- 47:27[SPEAKER_02]: Actually, to be courtesy of my sister, because my sister donated some books to give away.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_02]: So I want to make sure she can hear her.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just picking up.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just picking up this grocery maker.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_02]: Because I know she watched it.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_02]: I know she watched it.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_02]: Did you make an error?
- 47:44[SPEAKER_01]: Did I already put you out of the state?
- 47:49[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, that's a rumor.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_01]: Don't do that.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_01]: Don't do that, man.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: I swear the next episode, we don't talk about that.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_01]: You got the wheel?
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to drive it.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_01]: So just talk, you know, give them more credit as a role model.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, now I feel like she playing the clips out.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to tell her would be, you know, she listens to the clips out.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_02]: I, I, it's interesting because she bought me my first CD, which was, oh, Keith Murray.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm going somewhere with it because I, because even at that time, I don't think she would have listened to.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: Kid Murray.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, she's gonna guide you what she know my little brother love is.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_02]: Her life is in Jesus.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_02]: All the way, I, you know, I'm not qualified to say when it wasn't.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_02]: What the activity was when it wasn't.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: But life is all the way.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_01]: Breakfast is the coming with now, sir.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_02]: We don't speak about the name.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_02]: There's only now.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_02]: There's only now a reference to a different now.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_02]: But you can only live in that.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_02]: Anybody arguing with that.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_02]: You can only live in now.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_02]: Tomorrow is tomorrow until it's then in the snow.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_02]: We got a politician that's all that's all we get yeah, so I don't I don't know that she I don't know she she'll probably just more like this until a Kanye Clips is so specific like it's rap rap.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know is it just rap rap
- 49:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's what that is.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's wrap wrap.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 49:41[SPEAKER_02]: your environment, you're not totally in product of your environment, but specifically when it comes to music, you haven't outgrown that.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_02]: And I get it.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_02]: Right there with it.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, ears were curated to what was determined to be suitable.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_02]: Not suitable.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_02]: And then when you heard beyond that, you didn't know how to wreck, you didn't know how to actually evaluate.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_02]: You know how to evaluate it.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_02]: I can't fault you for it.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_02]: No, no.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_02]: I would and drop a trick, probably the more you write now, not knowing how you feel about tricking, I'm sure what you're experiencing.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_01]: Are you suggesting?
- 50:17[SPEAKER_01]: Are you suggesting?
- 50:18[SPEAKER_02]: No, that's what they're gonna do with it.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_02]: That wouldn't be fair.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't, I can't hold you to a standard that you, that you haven't been exposed to and properly educated on.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's what we've been talking about.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_02]: This we've been talking about, like if, if, if,
- 50:36[SPEAKER_02]: And if I know you're not qualified on the thing, why would I call you out on that thing to make a point?
- 50:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's cause music.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_00]: Music or he's cause music.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you call it that best with was birth.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_02]: So it's music and then it's music.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_02]: It was just music.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_02]: When it came out, it wasn't East Coast music.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_02]: When it came out, it was just rap.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_02]: Correct.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_02]: And then when people started to have an affinity and and
- 51:06[SPEAKER_03]: They like, um, um, what's the word?
- 51:12[SPEAKER_02]: They wanted it for themselves.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they were, uh, I want to say y'all with jealous of it.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it was just like, it's like, yeah, just like if we, if we created, it's like, oh, man, they created a thing.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_02]: We got to do our thing.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I get it.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_02]: And I get it.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_02]: I get it.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: But if, but if the hour thing was presented to that community without the original thing, you think the hour thing is right.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_02]: They were saying, if I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but I'm in the government.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's okay.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_02]: If you were taught that that shirt color was orange, your whole life, you will go out confidently in the world and tell them you got an orange surgery.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_02]: And you wouldn't, you would believe it.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_02]: Correct.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's my point.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_01]: But you off.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_01]: So we had a time.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, I'm gonna do that.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna get this in the beginning of cooking and cuisine.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_01]: They were dropping bison on a high rock.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: Correct.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_02]: I went there, but there you go.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_01]: I went there to begin the rap either.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_01]: Come on.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, lie to me.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_01]: However, the end of the beginning.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_01]: However, the end of the beginning is a period.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_01]: We've evolved from just putting the raw piece of meat on a high rock season, flip it.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_01]: Cut it up and heat it.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

- 52:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_01]: And we're gonna stop right there.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: Y'all got a quick, and I can see.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_01]: Y'all got a good aim, but didn't, but didn't originate in the South.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: No, but you tried to make the, what the, what the, what the originated.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_02]: What we love, what I love, specifically with food of art, things that originated in the South.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_02]: And when people went, they took a what?
- 52:54[SPEAKER_01]: It didn't, it didn't start there.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_02]: When it started.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_01]: I just catch you later.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_02]: Next up.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_02]: So, no, don't try to end my thing.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_02]: Don't try to land my plate.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_02]: We're doing that.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_02]: I know you need time.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_02]: I know you see it.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_02]: If I were you, I would work on getting, getting your Louise and a car back.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_02]: That would be the first there.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_02]: That would be the end, and you flying at them all.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think I'm going to let you land.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_02]: Stop.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_02]: If you see Jay back in the, if you see him in the airport, I guarantee you he'll be making groceries.

- 53:31[SPEAKER_02]: Look, he's a day you see, and it's probably probably edited, so it's over the full degree it was on, but that's what that was.
