  SPEAKER_02: And how we do that is we do that by sharing testimonies of people's faith and how God has helped them to overcome obstacles in their life.

  SPEAKER_02: Today I'm excited to have a great guest joining us today.

  SPEAKER_02: And um, she's actually been a guest on here before, but she's not only just a guest, but she's also a friend of mine.

  SPEAKER_02: And I'm super excited that she's coming back on.

  SPEAKER_02: But today we're gonna do a little something a little bit different.

  SPEAKER_02: Normally, um, Bethany um has already shared a testimony with us, which is a wonderful testimony.

  SPEAKER_02: She's got a crazy testimony, but um today we're gonna talk about kind of what God has done since the last time she came on the show and kind of like just how God has continued to be faithful.

  SPEAKER_02: So, Bethany, welcome back and thank you for joining us on Crushing Stormholes today.

  SPEAKER_00: Great to be here.

  SPEAKER_00: Thank you so very much for the invite.

  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm glad that you're back.

  SPEAKER_02: And um, I know um I know you've already shared your testimony, but would you go ahead for those that haven't heard it, go ahead and share a little bit of your testimony with us and then just talk with us about um some of the things that God has done since the last time you came on our on the show and how how God has just continued to be faithful in your life.

  SPEAKER_00: Yes, we'd be happy to.

  SPEAKER_00: Um most people don't go all the way back to when they were born.
• 1:47
  SPEAKER_00: So that people have an understanding of why I sound like I do, um, especially in this day and age.

  SPEAKER_00: Um and so I was born at twenty four and a half weeks and on a ventilator for eight weeks after that.

  SPEAKER_00: And so that is the reason for the voice quality.

  SPEAKER_00: Um this was all back in November 1983, so um medical advancements weren't as good as they are today, but they were still um powerful enough to help me.

  SPEAKER_00: Um I do believe that God used them in a powerful way um to help me get to where I am today.

  SPEAKER_00: Um there have been struggles in those years, um, and yet I rejoice that the Lord has been faithful.

  SPEAKER_00: And you know, just as Christian strongholds is a ministry that talks about faithfulness and you know being able to crush those strongholds in a person's life, I do believe that God is the ultimate one who gives us the strength to do that, and so um that's just a small glimpse of my past.

  SPEAKER_00: And so since I've been on the show, the Lord has continued to help me to strengthen me, to empower me to continue his message to me.

  SPEAKER_00: And most recently um I have a website and I do daily emails, devotional style emails for subscribers.

  SPEAKER_00: Currently I'm in a um transition phase, and so um in this email series that I'm doing.

  SPEAKER_00: So now the email series that I'm doing is talking about God's word, and it has Psalm 119 130 as its uh foundation as its base, and so the emails have been around that, and it's very encouraging to me to be able to send those out to help others, encourage others, and one of the emails that I'm working on right now is how do we reunite?

  SPEAKER_00: And I I have trouble saying that word, and so if it comes across differently, I apologize, but I do have struggles with saying some words correctly, um but you know so often it seems like there's so many people who seem down and discouraged and just lacking in some areas that you know maybe maybe they have strongholds that they need to overcome, they need to crush, they need to obtain freedom.

  SPEAKER_00: And it's truly amazing to me how God's word just gives us what we need when we need it, and to truly take the time to just not only read it, to check off a box or check off a line and say, Oh, I did my Bible reading for the day, but to truly study it and to meditate on what God has for us, Timor, and to develop in our own lives so that we can be instruments of his love and his grace and his mercy, sharing him with those who need it, those who need his love because his love is the ultimate love, and it's you know some people say that the Bible is just full of rules, it's full of stuff that may not be relevant.

  SPEAKER_00: Well I would make the difference on that because when you truly get into God's word and you truly study it as he intends for us to, I guarantee you you will be uplifted, strengthened, empowered, and that's what God wants for Christians if you are a Christian, and so that's what's been happening some since my last appearance on the show here, and so I don't know, Mike.

  SPEAKER_00: Did you have any other questions?

  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I love that you said that, you know, even though everything that you've been going through, um I I love that you can recognize that God empowers you still and he continues to empower you.

  SPEAKER_02: And even though we face struggles and we do face strongholds, you know, sometimes daily, that um you still hang on to that, that foundation and knowing that he's going he that he not only is but is going to continue to empower you through whatever you're doing, as long as you're being faithful to him as well.

  SPEAKER_02: And sometimes we forget how God God doesn't God doesn't fail us, he's never failed us.

  SPEAKER_02: We fail because we're human, you know.
• 10:22
  SPEAKER_02: Um, but in the supernatural realm, God doesn't fail anyone.
• 10:25
  SPEAKER_02: And I think it's important to remember that, like, especially with crushing strongholds and um how God totally stays faithful, you know, yesterday, today, and and even for tomorrow.

  SPEAKER_02: He's not going to change his mind or his ways for anything.
• 10:43
  SPEAKER_02: And so I love that he's continuing to do a work in your life.
• 10:46
  SPEAKER_02: Now, can you tell our listeners a little bit about you have a website and you have a program and kind of what that entails so that our listeners will know a little bit more about you and what you do.

  SPEAKER_02: Um, and I I think it's great that you're doing your the emails and you're doing um you're sharing God's word through the emails.

  SPEAKER_02: But I would like our listeners to know, you know, kind of what your program is all about.
• 11:08
  SPEAKER_02: So if they're interested, they could reach out to you and um talk about um the book that you wrote.

  SPEAKER_00: Yes.

  SPEAKER_00: Um I do have a 12-week program that starts out with what I believe is the most important starting point, and that is to understand that everyone has the same ultimate enemy, and that is Satan, and then for the rest of the program, weeks two through a lot two through twelve, I go through one attribute of God each of those weeds.

  SPEAKER_00: Now recognizing that there are more than twelve more than eleven um attributes of God, I have those then um as one of the bonuses to my program, and another bonus of my program is I've gone through the entire Bible and I've highlighted each of the mentions of God in the Bible, and so that's another bonus that people receive um with my program, and then one last bonus is they can continue on with me for one year.

  SPEAKER_00: Um just you know, if they would like further one-on-one support uh encouragement type things that we had we would be doing within those 12 weeks, continuing on, continuing that on.

  SPEAKER_00: So and then yes, I have written actually two books, two ebooks.

  SPEAKER_00: One is called From Darkness to Light, and that is highlighting how God wants us, wants to help us in that transformation from being in darkness because of sin to now transitioning to being light to with his with his help being that light that the world desperately needs.

  SPEAKER_00: And then the other ebook that I've written is called Beyond the Mirror.

  SPEAKER_00: And that talks about our internal self-talk that we either consciously do or even do without realizing it and how that affects our outward atmosphere, our outward environment.

  SPEAKER_00: Because when we're whether we realize it or not, when we're hard on ourselves and we continually rehearse that in our minds, I believe that is one of Satan's traps that he wants us to get in, to where we're so consumed with that negativity, that we start to shut down.

  SPEAKER_00: We start to go down that path that God doesn't want us to go down, to be honest.

  SPEAKER_00: Um and so it's both of those parts, I truly believe they would be a blessing and an encouragement to anyone who would beat them and also implement what um is in them.

  SPEAKER_00: And so yeah.

  SPEAKER_02: That's awesome.

  SPEAKER_02: And um obviously you you also um have have a um you're a uh co um partner in uh the podcast, Truth Be Told, which has been wonderful.

  SPEAKER_02: And we've had a lot of great um great experiences with doing that.

  SPEAKER_02: And um so with your I have a question about your coaching program.

  SPEAKER_02: You might have, but I might have not heard it.

  SPEAKER_00: I do one-on-one coaching, um 12 weekly Zoom sessions, one-on-one.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, and so I might be considering somehow doing a group coaching with that at some point.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm not sure yet, but right now it's one-on-one.

  SPEAKER_02: So okay, in the 12 weeks, is that the only one that you're offering right now that you have going right now?

  SPEAKER_02: Yes.

  SPEAKER_02: Okay, I was just curious.

  SPEAKER_02: Um, because like with Carson Strongholds, um, you know, it's it's also it's it's a it's a coaching program.

  SPEAKER_02: And I love that because you're you're um taking time to help people um learn the attributes, um, learn um how what what a liar saint is for one right off the top, which is really important for us to understand.

  SPEAKER_02: So I think that's a really good place to for people to um seek and find a foundation if they're if they're if they're not sure.

  SPEAKER_02: Um so I think that's really great that you have that website going for you.

  SPEAKER_02: I also think it's really good that God is just really moving in your life.

  SPEAKER_02: Um you also have um you have a you YouTube right now, right?

  SPEAKER_02: A YouTube.

  SPEAKER_02: And do you want to tell us a little bit about that?

  SPEAKER_00: Yes.

  SPEAKER_00: Um it's it's called Your Life Matters.

  SPEAKER_00: So um I can send you the link, Mickey, and if you can put it in the show notes.

  SPEAKER_00: Um yes, I I'm currently at having done seven episodes, and I'm going full steam ahead on that.

  SPEAKER_00: Um either doing at least one episode a week or possibly two or three a week, just however the Lord leads.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, and so it's it's been nice to be able to get my voice out there, um, to just share what the Lord verbally share, what the Lord has laid on my heart, and um, so I'm thankful for technology to be able to do that, and um so thankful that the Lord has given me the strength, the vocal strength to be able to do that as well.

  SPEAKER_02: So I I think that you know God's been really moving and um um in your life and doing a lot.

  SPEAKER_02: Um and even since I've met you, I I I don't know, it's been I think it's been a year at least, maybe.

  SPEAKER_02: I don't even know what the time frame has been that that we've um gotten to know one another, but um it's been a it's been a minute.

  SPEAKER_02: But um even from the first time that we met to now, I I've just seen God just move and incredibly and radically just help you to um, you know, even though you struggle like with your voice and you share your testimony, I I still see God's power moving it in and through you and through your voice.

  SPEAKER_02: And I love that um because it's such a huge testimony.

  SPEAKER_02: And um, and I'm glad that you're you you know, some people would be nervous or shy or even, you know, um um worried about that, and God leads you right past all of that, you know, He takes you past all of that.

  SPEAKER_02: Um was there ever a time that um you were ever afraid um, you know, of doing what you're doing now?

  SPEAKER_02: Like, is this really what God wants me to do?
• 21:31
  SPEAKER_02: Because of, you know, like you said, the quality of your voice is it does it really did it ever come have a point where you were like not sure about it and then until God said, what did God say?

  SPEAKER_02: Like what did he do?
• 21:42
  SPEAKER_02: Did he just say, hey, you know, this is what where you know, how did God lead you into what you're doing is what I'm trying to say.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's a great question.
• 21:52
  SPEAKER_00: Um back in 2006, I Was working a retail job and this retail store had various departments in it.
• 22:16
  SPEAKER_00: And so I was working in the women's department.
• 22:24
  SPEAKER_00: And you know, interaction face to face was fine.
• 22:33
  SPEAKER_00: You know, I was able to interact fine with people.
• 22:40
  SPEAKER_00: If they had questions or concerns about my voice, they kept it to themselves.
• 22:54
  SPEAKER_00: Well, one particular day, a call came in for the women's department.
• 23:04
  SPEAKER_00: And normally there would have been at least two employees working each department.
• 23:16
  SPEAKER_00: Um at this particular time, I was the only one.
• 23:25
  SPEAKER_00: And so I took the call.
• 23:33
  SPEAKER_00: Um by introducing myself.
• 23:37
  SPEAKER_00: I even took a few seconds to quickly explain my situation.
• 23:49
  SPEAKER_00: Well a woman on the other hand wasn't having any of it.
• 24:01
  SPEAKER_00: And she asked the obvious question that anybody would ask.

  SPEAKER_00: Um because I thought, well, um this is how it's supposed to be.
• 27:02
  SPEAKER_00: I'm not supposed to vocally that's first thing, and so but then I remember it as clear as if it were this morning, which again it was back in June 2025, that the Lord just opened my eyes.

  SPEAKER_00: And internally, I knew that he was telling me, okay, I've given you a message, I need to verbally share it.
• 27:51
  SPEAKER_00: And so that's what I've been doing more and more, and that's what I will continue to do until the Lord calls me home to heaven because I am a Christian, and as of May 1990, the month I became a Christian.

  SPEAKER_00: And so, yes, I thank you for asking me that.

  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's a that's an that's another great testimony in itself.
• 28:38
  SPEAKER_02: I think a lot of I I mean, I don't know about you, but I'm sure a lot of people um I I will say this for myself, even.

  SPEAKER_02: I know that there are times that I missed out on um even what God had for me because I was listening to the lies of the enemy.
• 28:55
  SPEAKER_02: And I think that what you just shared was an amazing testimony on top of the testimony you have already shared because of the fact um 19 years is a long time to stay quiet.

  SPEAKER_02: And the enemy was doing a really good job.
• 29:07
  SPEAKER_02: He I think the enemy thought he had you right where he wanted you.
• 29:11
  SPEAKER_02: And um, but you you know, tuning into what God called you to do, and when God leaned in and said, hey, that that you know, time is up, you know, you need to start sharing the gospel like you do.

  SPEAKER_02: It's amazing because now look at you, you have your own website, you have your own coaching program, you've written two books, you're a co-host on a podcast, you have your own YouTube channel, and you and you have an e an an email subscription.

  SPEAKER_02: A lot of people in your situation wouldn't have any of that if they were to continue listening to the enemy.
• 29:44
  SPEAKER_02: And I hope our listeners are really listening to that.

  SPEAKER_02: Sometimes we need to, we need to um, I don't want to use the expression man up, but we need to be bolder, you know.

  SPEAKER_02: And and you know, I I I'm surprised that like I don't know how your manager handled that situation.

  SPEAKER_02: I hope he I don't know if he handled it correctly or not, but I I'm surprised that when you've explained someone your situation and they're still not willing to listen to you, you know, it can be very discouraging.

  SPEAKER_02: I can see how that would just kind of set you back on the back burner and go, you know what, maybe this isn't what I'm supposed to be doing in my life.

  SPEAKER_02: Because it made you feel uncomfortable.
• 30:19
  SPEAKER_02: People make you feel uncomfortable.
• 30:21
  SPEAKER_02: And that is the enemy too.
• 30:23
  SPEAKER_02: That's the enemy.
• 30:25
  SPEAKER_02: And he's testing you, testing you to see are you gonna continue on or are you gonna you are you gonna be able to stand up to to what the enemy is bringing?

  SPEAKER_02: And I think a lot of times we back down more than we should.
• 30:37
  SPEAKER_02: And we stay quiet for 19 years because um something has happened or the enemy has done something in our life that um has basically tried to silence us, you know.

  SPEAKER_02: And I know even in my own life, um, I've had a lot of obstacles, ups and downs, and what have you.

  SPEAKER_02: And there were times I thought, you know, um I, you know, I can't say anything.
• 30:59
  SPEAKER_02: And God was like, when he told me to do a podcast, I it I literally took me a year to do it because I didn't believe him.

  SPEAKER_02: I didn't even believe him.
• 31:06
  SPEAKER_02: I was like, I I'm not doing a podcast ever.

  SPEAKER_02: And and especially this one, you know.
• 31:12
  SPEAKER_02: And so we once I started it and it took off.

  SPEAKER_02: And um I I've just I I can't express how grateful I am to God for this podcast.

  SPEAKER_02: I have met people all over the entire world, and I've heard so many amazing testimonies like the one you share today.

  SPEAKER_02: And it really brings perspective because I think a lot of times we sit back in a little pity party pool and we play victim, you know, play victim to everything that's going on in our lives when there's there's people out there, you know, going through stuff too.

  SPEAKER_02: And when you hear someone else's testimony, you don't feel like you're so alone in your own demise or whatever you're going through.

  SPEAKER_02: It's it really does help you to hear the other side of what's going on with people.

  SPEAKER_02: And sometimes we don't we don't ask people what are you going through, or you know, some people might just just like listen to your voices and and they might come up with their own conclusion without even knowing or asking.

  SPEAKER_02: And I always tell people, if you want to know something, ask.
• 32:15
  SPEAKER_02: Just ask me.
• 32:16
  SPEAKER_02: Just ask me.
• 32:18
  SPEAKER_02: I'd rather them ask me than to assume they know something that they don't know, you know?
• 32:23
  SPEAKER_02: And um for and then for them to find out that they're wrong, but or or whatever, but um, or to have my feelings hurt because they've assumed something about me that went wasn't true, you know, because what the enemy did to you was he brought something against you that wasn't wasn't your truth, that wasn't your story.

  SPEAKER_02: Your story is what you're you're sharing right now, today.
• 32:43
  SPEAKER_02: Your testimony today is what God had for you in in store.
• 32:48
  SPEAKER_02: But that 19-year-old silence um had to be broken.
• 32:52
  SPEAKER_02: And I'm glad that God was able to break that off from you.
• 32:55
  SPEAKER_02: Again, a stronghold that you crushed.
• 32:58
  SPEAKER_02: And I love that you're you're willing to come on here and share that because I think a lot of people face that and they don't realize that they're not walking in the calling that God has on their life.

  SPEAKER_02: And I've I've talked to people and I said, Well, you know, what is it, what is you know, I'll say, well, what what calling does God have on your life?
• 33:13
  SPEAKER_02: And they're like, God hasn't called me to do anything.
• 33:15
  SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, I'm pretty sure he has.
• 33:17
  SPEAKER_02: You would not be here otherwise.
• 33:19
  SPEAKER_02: I really believe that we all have a call in our life, no matter what it is.
• 33:23
  SPEAKER_02: It could be really small or it could be really huge, and you know, um, we're all significant, we all matter to God, and we all have a call in our life.

  SPEAKER_02: He had us in Jeremiah 29, 11, it says he has a purpose for our life, for a future and a hope, not just a future.

  SPEAKER_02: Not, hey, go live your future, you know, go go go seek out your future, he a future and a hope, he says.

  SPEAKER_02: And I always thought about that in scripture, and I thought, well, why would he want us to have hope?
• 33:51
  SPEAKER_02: Because we're feeling the call that he put on our life.
• 33:54
  SPEAKER_02: If we're doing that, he's gonna give us that hope.
• 33:57
  SPEAKER_02: And it's such a great hope, too.
• 33:58
  SPEAKER_02: It's amazing.
• 33:59
  SPEAKER_02: Your story is phenomenal.

  SPEAKER_02: So I'm really glad that um you're willing to come on Crush and Stronghold today and share that again and give us a recap from the first time that you came on.

  SPEAKER_02: And um I'm excited for what you shared.

  SPEAKER_02: I'm excited that I get to be your friend and I get to see what God's doing in your life and how he's moving.

  SPEAKER_02: Um and I I'm I'm actually just honored that I get to be a little part of that, you know, with truth be told and and whatnot.

  SPEAKER_02: And we share and we share um information and we help each other and we pray for one another.
• 34:28
  SPEAKER_02: And I think that's what we're supposed to be doing as Christians.
• 34:30
  SPEAKER_02: We're supposed to be helping one another.
• 34:32
  SPEAKER_02: And um, we're supposed to be, you know, banning arms and praying together, you know.
• 34:37
  SPEAKER_02: He God didn't make us to be isolated for 19 years, he made us to be a community.
• 34:43
  SPEAKER_02: He wanted us to be in unity.
• 34:44
  SPEAKER_02: That's how we become the bride of Christ.
• 34:47
  SPEAKER_02: So when we look at the bride of Christ in the church, it's not just one person, it's it's it's all the Christians, and that's a community brought together by unity.

  SPEAKER_02: So I love that you shared that because I think a lot of people really are stuck in that situation.

  SPEAKER_02: So I have one more question before I close, um, close out for you today.
• 35:04
  SPEAKER_02: But can you just give our listeners just um uh one bit of encouragement on how they can handle or how they can walk in crushing a stronghold that they're facing?

  SPEAKER_01: Yes.
• 35:19
  SPEAKER_00: Um chapter 15 is a tremendous chapter that I would encourage anyone to read and to study to understand what the Lord wants us to do.
• 35:55
  SPEAKER_00: You know, we we have talked about um in this time how that we shouldn't be isolating, that we should be having that unity, having that community.
• 36:20
  SPEAKER_00: One of the greatest chapters, I believe, in the Bible is John fifteen.
• 36:28
  SPEAKER_00: And so for especially those who are Christians who are watching this, are you doing what John 15 talks about?
• 36:47
  SPEAKER_00: Are you abiding in Christ?
• 36:50
  SPEAKER_00: Are you making your dwelling in Christ?
• 36:55
  SPEAKER_00: You know, Satan, Satan wants us, like I say, to be isolated.
• 37:02
  SPEAKER_00: He doesn't want us to be implementing to he doesn't want us to dwell in Christ, he wants us to be as far away from Christ as we possibly can be.

  SPEAKER_00: But John 15 is one of those chapters that if you are in that place where you're feeling like your stronghold is crushing you and you have no way out, are you abiding in Christ?

  SPEAKER_00: Are you making and taking time to have fellowship with him?
• 37:57
  SPEAKER_00: Train reading and studying the Bible.
• 38:06
  SPEAKER_00: Like I say, I do believe once you get into a routine of that, you will start to feel empowered and strengthened and encouraged so that you can, with the Lord's help, you can come out of that stronghold.

  SPEAKER_00: You can be free from that.
• 38:41
  SPEAKER_00: And so that's what I would encourage listeners with.

  SPEAKER_02: I think that's a a great place to start.

  SPEAKER_02: I always tell people, um, especially new Christians, if they're diving into the word to start in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

  SPEAKER_02: Um, John being really, I mean, it's just an amazing book, and then obviously uh uh the book of Proverbs and then Romans.

  SPEAKER_02: But um, you know, the Gospels is is is I think one of the best places to start if you're a new Christian, to learn who Jesus Christ is and what he actually did for us and why it's why our salvation is so important.
