- 0:00Speaker 1: And what's going on, it's Romeo. We made it to Friday.
- 0:02Speaker 1: We got into, well, one of my friends is letting
- 0:04Speaker 1: his ex-baby mama and his son move in with him.
- 0:07Speaker 1: We'll talk a little bit about that. Fitness, we talked
- 0:10Speaker 1: with Dickie Mugliana about fitness. We also talked about how tech,
- 0:14Speaker 1: this high tech has gotten you caught up in some way.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'll tell you about my buddy's friend. I mean, my
- 0:19Speaker 1: buddy's kid. He actually might call in if he's listening. But, um,
- 0:24Speaker 1: not the kid, my buddy. But so, um, You know,
- 0:27Speaker 1: a guy I work out with, his kid, he's got
- 0:29Speaker 1: a kid, I think he's 24 years old, graduated college,
- 0:32Speaker 1: good kid, good-looking kid, got a pretty good personality for
- 0:36Speaker 1: a 21-year-old. But he won't wash his damn car. And
- 0:43Speaker 1: his logic is, because he drives an older car, you know,
- 0:47Speaker 1: like a 2000-something, I don't need to wash it. And
- 0:53Speaker 1: I think to myself, no. No. You need to wash
- 0:57Speaker 1: your car. You can't just have a cloud of dust
- 1:00Speaker 1: on your car. Your car is a representation of who
- 1:05Speaker 1: you are.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:08Speaker 1: Am I wrong then, ladies? A 24-year-old guy, okay? You're
- 1:15Speaker 1: looking for a 24-year-old college graduate, and he's driving a
- 1:23Speaker 1: dirty-ass car. Are you not, are you okay with that?
- 1:30Speaker 1: Because that's a representation of who, your car is a
- 1:33Speaker 1: representation of who you are. There are two things that
- 1:37Speaker 1: you can tell by how somebody's car looks and how
- 1:42Speaker 1: their house or their bedroom looks. How well they keep,
- 1:47Speaker 1: they keep it clean or not. That's a representation of you.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Is it, am I wrong about that? R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7. And what
- 1:58Speaker 1: got me, it cracked me up when he said, well, Rome,
- 2:00Speaker 1: it's an older car, so, you know, I don't really care.
- 2:02Speaker 1: If I had a new car, I was like, your
- 2:04Speaker 1: dad keeps his car clean. Yeah, but my dad drives
- 2:06Speaker 1: a blah, blah, blah, which is, yeah. So, anyway, I,
- 2:13Speaker 1: then I started to think back in the day. When
- 2:17Speaker 1: you were in high school, when you were in your 20s,
- 2:19Speaker 1: we drove buckets. But we kept those things armored and
- 2:24Speaker 1: nice and tight. Didn't we? Do you remember back in
- 2:28Speaker 1: the day? It didn't matter if you had a low rider.
- 2:32Speaker 1: It didn't matter if you had a new car or
- 2:34Speaker 1: an old car. You kept that. You could be driving
- 2:38Speaker 1: an 88 Honda Accord. But you kept it clean. Armor
- 2:44Speaker 1: all of the tires. You didn't have no layer of dust.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Think about when you were in your 20s. For those
- 2:53Speaker 1: of you old school cats. Did you ever drive around
- 2:57Speaker 1: on a Friday night with a layer of dust on
- 3:01Speaker 1: your car? Were your tires not armored up? It didn't
- 3:07Speaker 1: matter if you were driving an 88 Sentra. You had
- 3:13Speaker 1: that thing clean as could be. As clean as you
- 3:17Speaker 1: can get, right? These kids today, man. That's a representation
- 3:24Speaker 1: of you. That's how people see you. Clean your car.
- 3:30Speaker 2: All right.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Eight, four, two, five, four, seven to seven. What's going on?
- 3:35Speaker 3: What's going on?
- 3:36Speaker 4: Hey, what's up, bro?
- 3:36Speaker 5: You got to put my boy.
- 3:43Speaker 1: On black.
- 3:44Speaker 4: So I told you when we pulled up the Thursday morning,
- 3:47Speaker 4: I was like, you know, that's the first thing he's
- 3:49Speaker 4: going to say. Your car is clean. He's like, yeah.
- 3:52Speaker 4: And what's the first thing you said to him?
- 3:55Speaker 1: What?
- 3:56Speaker 4: Well, the first thing you said to him, oh, you
- 3:58Speaker 4: finally washed your car.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 4:00Speaker 5: Well, yeah.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Wash your damn car, man. Have a little pride in yourself.
- 4:05Speaker 1: People see you as they see you.
- 4:06Speaker 4: But what's crazy, Rome, is the inside of his car
- 4:10Speaker 4: is clean. It's like it's... I'm not saying you can
- 4:13Speaker 4: eat off of it, but if you think the outside
- 4:18Speaker 4: reflects the inside, you're wrong.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Yeah, but still, you don't know that. You don't know
- 4:23Speaker 1: she crazy. You don't know a hot girl's crazy until
- 4:26Speaker 1: you actually get to know her. You don't know that
- 4:28Speaker 1: car's clean until you get inside.
- 4:31Speaker 4: I tried to explain it to him. You might as
- 4:35Speaker 4: well be talking to the wall.
- 4:36Speaker 5: I mean, his logic is his logic, and I'm like,
- 4:39Speaker 5: all right, dude, I'll— I just remember.
- 4:42Speaker 1: In my 20s, everybody, even dudes with buckets had armor
- 4:46Speaker 1: all on their tires. You could have chipped paint, but
- 4:48Speaker 1: you're clean and armor all on the tires. Oh, without
- 4:51Speaker 1: a doubt.
- 4:51Speaker 6: Without a doubt.
- 4:52Speaker 4: But, I mean, I don't know if it's just because
- 4:54Speaker 4: the times have.
- 4:54Speaker 5: Changed and stuff like that. And I have instilled in him, like,
- 4:59Speaker 5: don't care what people think about you.
- 5:00Speaker 4: You know, someone's opinion of you doesn't make.
- 5:03Speaker 3: You who you are.
- 5:03Speaker 2: So.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I guess he's.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Taking that to heart, but it did bother me with
- 5:08Speaker 5: the dirty car, but again.
- 5:10Speaker 1: What people think of you is different than having pride
- 5:13Speaker 1: in your car and your house are two things that
- 5:16Speaker 1: people judge you on and are a representation of you.
- 5:20Speaker 1: How you dress nowadays, how you dress also, but he's
- 5:23Speaker 1: just a kid still. But yeah, man.
- 5:28Speaker 4: So, and his logic is that once I get a
- 5:32Speaker 4: better car, newer car, you know, I'm going to take
- 5:34Speaker 4: care of it better. And I'm like, it's still your
- 5:38Speaker 4: car at the end of the day.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Yeah, that's terrible logic.
- 5:41Speaker 4: You make enough money right now, you can do like
- 5:43Speaker 4: a little monthly subscription to, you know, one of the
- 5:45Speaker 4: little spots just to cruise through or, you know, just
- 5:48Speaker 4: knock the dust off of it. But it's just going
- 5:50Speaker 4: to get dirty. I was like, okay, so guess what?
- 5:53Speaker 4: Just because I paid my bills this month, you know
- 5:55Speaker 4: I have to pay them next month?
- 5:56Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Maybe it makes sense, dude.
- 5:59Speaker 1: All right, man. I got to go. I'll talk to
- 6:03Speaker 1: you later. I mean, all I'm saying is this.
- 6:07Speaker 3: All right?
- 6:07Speaker 1: Look, man, that's a representation of you. Keep your car clean.
- 6:13Speaker 3: You know?
- 6:14Speaker 1: You keep your drawers clean, don't you? Keep your car clean.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Keep your bedroom clean. Keep your house. That's a representation
- 6:20Speaker 1: of who you are. People look at you and they say, oh,
- 6:23Speaker 1: look at this person. He takes pride. She takes pride, whatever, blah, blah, blah.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I mean, there were fools rolling around in 85 Nissan
- 6:35Speaker 1: Sentras with faded paint. but yet they still had armor
- 6:40Speaker 1: all on the tires. Man, you got to keep your
- 6:42Speaker 1: car clean. If you're going to keep your car clean, man,
- 6:44Speaker 1: what does that say about you? Good morning, how's it
- 6:47Speaker 1: going on?
- 6:48Speaker 6: Hey, what up, man?
- 6:49Speaker 5: Hey, man, talking about these cars, man, it doesn't take
- 6:52Speaker 5: that much for you to have your car cleaned up.
- 6:55Speaker 4: It says a lot about you, you know what I mean?
- 6:57Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 6:59Speaker 1: That's what I say. Your car is a representation of you.
- 7:02Speaker 1: It's one of the first things people see.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 7:07Speaker 3: You know what, Romeo?
- 7:09Speaker 7: I'm mobile, man.
- 7:10Speaker 5: I'm a mobile mechanic, and I've seen some cars.
- 7:14Speaker 7: damn, you wouldn't believe it.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Oh, I can believe that.
- 7:18Speaker 5: Hey, bro, you.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Wouldn't believe it, man.
- 7:21Speaker 7: I'll be like, man, oh my God.
- 7:23Speaker 6: Like, man, only takes you five minutes.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 3: And that's, you know, like you said, it shows a
- 7:29Speaker 3: lot about a person, man.
- 7:30Speaker 4: And that's how you keep your car.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Imagine how, when, how do you wipe your butt, man?
- 7:33Speaker 6: It's going to be the same.
- 7:35Speaker 1: All right, man, get out of here. Like, and I'm
- 7:39Speaker 1: going to tell you, and I know, I understand, you know,
- 7:41Speaker 1: and I don't want to put too much on him, but,
- 7:44Speaker 1: You know, my boy says, that's the thing, right? Everybody
- 7:47Speaker 1: tells you, you don't want to, don't care what other
- 7:51Speaker 1: people think of you, right? That's not, you shouldn't care
- 7:53Speaker 1: what other people think of you. And I totally agree
- 7:56Speaker 1: with that, right? Just be your own person. But washing
- 7:59Speaker 1: your car, keeping your house clean or your room clean,
- 8:03Speaker 1: keeping your clothes tight, you know, clean, always look in respect.
- 8:07Speaker 1: That shows that you have pride in yourself, not being
- 8:10Speaker 1: judged by somebody else. It shows you have pride in yours.
- 8:14Speaker 1: And I'm going to tell you why the car is
- 8:16Speaker 1: so important. Years ago, years ago, when I bought my
- 8:21Speaker 1: first house in Bakersfield, right? I bought a nice house
- 8:24Speaker 1: in Rosedale and I had a brand new Toyota Tundra.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I bought a brand new Toyota Tundra. But I drove
- 8:33Speaker 1: an old S10 that my dad gave me. Smelled like
- 8:37Speaker 1: cigarette smoke because he smoked in it. Faded paint. It
- 8:42Speaker 1: was a turquoise, green, ugly, you know, pickup truck. And
- 8:49Speaker 1: I drove it everywhere. That's what I, that was what
- 8:52Speaker 1: I drove. I didn't tell anybody that I had a
- 8:54Speaker 1: brand new car in the house that had four miles
- 8:57Speaker 1: on it. I didn't tell anybody. I didn't even tell
- 8:58Speaker 1: anybody I owned a house until I met this one woman.
- 9:02Speaker 1: And she was like, I'll drive that POS. And you
- 9:05Speaker 1: know what? Then she found out, wait, you got a house?
- 9:08Speaker 1: You got a brand new car? What do you do?
- 9:11Speaker 1: I said, You know, I don't know, because the truck
- 9:14Speaker 1: is just an old beat-up truck. But I kept it clean,
- 9:16Speaker 1: kept it car washed, kept it tight, kept it vacuumed,
- 9:19Speaker 1: all that good stuff. But it just shows when people
- 9:23Speaker 1: look at you what they see. And I'm not talking
- 9:25Speaker 1: about being judged by them. I'm talking about how you
- 9:29Speaker 1: feel about yourself. You get up every morning. You got
- 9:32Speaker 1: a clean house. You got a clean car. It just
- 9:35Speaker 1: shows that you have pride in you.
- 9:37Speaker 2: R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7.
- 9:41Speaker 1: And I just remember all the buckets that we owned
- 9:45Speaker 1: as kids, as young adults, friends had. They always kept
- 9:50Speaker 1: them clean. Never a layer of dust, dirt on it.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Always keep them clean. Good morning, Al. What's going on?
- 9:58Speaker 3: What up, brother?
- 9:59Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a couple things that are there.
- 10:02Speaker 5: There's a couple hurdles before you get to the heart.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Yeah, you're absolutely right.
- 10:19Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a couple of hurdles, like all the clothes
- 10:23Speaker 5: on the floor.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 10:28Speaker 1: All right, brother. Thanks for calling, man.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Have a good one, man.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Yeah, how's it going on?
- 10:33Speaker 4: Hey, Romeo.
- 10:34Speaker 2: What up, man?
- 10:35Speaker 6: So, you know how I know you're right about the
- 10:37Speaker 6: car situation?
- 10:38Speaker 1: Okay.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Because I bet you if you ask all.
- 10:41Speaker 6: The men that are listening today, what's more impressive, a
- 10:44Speaker 6: dude pulling up with a shiny, you know, 2020, 2024
- 10:46Speaker 6: car or a dude that pulls up with a car
- 10:51Speaker 6: that's 20 or 30 years old that, like you said,
- 10:54Speaker 6: is clean, got nice rims, it's not chipped, it's kept together,
- 10:58Speaker 6: and it doesn't matter what kind of car it is.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Like the one lady earlier, it can.
- 11:02Speaker 6: Be a Chevy Impala, it can be an S-Truck, it
- 11:05Speaker 6: can be a Chevy Blazer, but a dude will stop
- 11:08Speaker 6: you in the parking lot and shake your hand and go, man.
- 11:10Speaker 4: You keep that truck up, that's fine.
- 11:13Speaker 6: And like you said, it's just the old school way
- 11:16Speaker 6: of building up your representation of you, because.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Now if you go on a job interview, if.
- 11:21Speaker 6: They see you anywhere, they see you in life, they're
- 11:24Speaker 6: going to go, that's who's got your stuff together.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely right, man. Absolutely right. Hey, thanks for calling.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Appreciate it. That's what I'm saying. You just, what this
- 11:33Speaker 1: kid couldn't understand, my buddy's kid doesn't understand. He thinks
- 11:38Speaker 1: it's judging him because his car ain't clean because it's
- 11:41Speaker 1: got a layer of dust on it, can't see out
- 11:43Speaker 1: the front windshield. He thinks it's judging him. I'm not
- 11:46Speaker 1: judging him. I'm saying have respect for yourself because that's
- 11:51Speaker 1: what people are looking at. People are not judging you,
- 11:57Speaker 1: but that shows your character. And some people are judging you.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I should rephrase that. Some people are judging you. But
- 12:03Speaker 1: other people are looking at you. Most people are looking
- 12:05Speaker 1: at you and go, man, that dude's got a 30-year-old car,
- 12:08Speaker 1: 20-year-old car, but look how clean he keeps it. That says,
- 12:12Speaker 1: that shows how much you care about you. Okay? It
- 12:18Speaker 1: shows the pride you have in you. Just like you
- 12:22Speaker 1: keep your house clean. Just like Deidre said, you keep
- 12:24Speaker 1: your yard clean. You keep your shoes clean. You keep
- 12:27Speaker 1: your outfits clean. That's what that says.
- 12:30Speaker 4: You know?
- 12:31Speaker 3: All right.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Eight, four, two, five, four, seven, seven. You ladies tell
- 12:34Speaker 1: me one thing. You walk up to a, you, you
- 12:38Speaker 1: walk up.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Okay.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Let me tell you, let me explain something to you.
- 12:41Speaker 1: You women walk into a parking lot, right? And there's
- 12:44Speaker 1: a dude sitting there and let's say a 10 year
- 12:46Speaker 1: old car. clean as can be, armor on the tires,
- 12:51Speaker 1: waxed up. He's got a nicely pressed shirt on, iron,
- 12:54Speaker 1: looks clean. And then you see some dude with a
- 12:57Speaker 1: brand new car, dirty as hell. He got a raggedy
- 12:59Speaker 1: wrinkled shirt on. Which dude are you going to think
- 13:03Speaker 1: has more pride in himself and is going to treat
- 13:05Speaker 1: you better? Morning, how's it going on?
- 13:08Speaker 4: Romeo, it's Deidre.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Hey, what up, Deidre?
- 13:12Speaker 7: Hey, Romeo, I agree with you on the vehicles and
- 13:16Speaker 7: the howls.
- 13:17Speaker 1: In your front yard and all that.
- 13:19Speaker 4: I say that stuff all the time. That's a reflection of, y'all,
- 13:23Speaker 4: clean that crap up.
- 13:25Speaker 7: Why do you want to walk around.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Dirty like that? And then the cars. You know what
- 13:29Speaker 4: I used to do? The car be clean and stuff,
- 13:31Speaker 4: and then you got a friend with a kid.
- 13:33Speaker 7: And the kid's feet all dirty and his friends all
- 13:37Speaker 7: on the back of your seat.
- 13:38Speaker 3: They don't even look at the car when they get
- 13:40Speaker 3: their kid out to clean your car out.
- 13:42Speaker 7: And I don't ever sit in the back seat.
- 13:45Speaker 4: Why is my back seat always down?
- 13:48Speaker 1: Deidre, you said you got a friend with a kid.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:52Speaker 7: Well, it's a shame I'm praying no more.
- 13:54Speaker 4: But, yeah, it ain't because of the dirt.
- 13:57Speaker 7: But, yeah, the shoes.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:00Speaker 5: They're just like, come on now, y'all.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Come on.
- 14:03Speaker 4: And they be calling me bougie and stuff because I
- 14:05Speaker 4: don't want my car dirty.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Yep. I ain't lying.
- 14:08Speaker 1: You ain't lying. You are not lying. And then I
- 14:09Speaker 1: ain't got no little bitty critters.
- 14:11Speaker 4: My kids grown.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Yep. That is a representation of you, and it shows
- 14:15Speaker 1: the pride you have in yourself. Not anybody judging you,
- 14:18Speaker 1: but the pride you have in yourself.
- 14:21Speaker 6: Exactly, and it's really disgusting for a female to bring
- 14:24Speaker 6: her butt outside with some.
- 14:25Speaker 4: Dirty tennis shoes on.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Oh, my God. They're supposed to be white. Come on now.
- 14:33Speaker 4: It's wrong women doing that right to this freaking day.
- 14:36Speaker 1: They're wearing dirty shoes. All right, Deidre.
- 14:38Speaker 3: I'm coming out. All right.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Thanks, Deidre. Bye.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Bye, baby.
- 14:42Speaker 6: Bye.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I got to tell you something funny about Deidre. What
- 14:45Speaker 1: made me laugh when she said, you got a friend
- 14:47Speaker 1: with a kid. I didn't have no friends with no kids.
- 14:50Speaker 1: When I was in my, you know, when I was
- 14:52Speaker 1: in my 20s and 30s, I didn't have no friends
- 14:55Speaker 1: with kids. All my friends were... You know, I guess
- 14:58Speaker 1: they're wrapping it up, but they didn't have no kids.
- 15:01Speaker 1: That's hilarious. She's afraid with a kid. R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7. Like I said, man,
- 15:08Speaker 1: there are a few things that show how much pride
- 15:11Speaker 1: you have in you. Not being judged, okay? Not because
- 15:16Speaker 1: you're worried about other people judging you, but how you
- 15:18Speaker 1: have pride in you. A car and how you keep
- 15:20Speaker 1: it clean is one of them. Your car, no matter
- 15:23Speaker 1: whether it's old or new. We've got to talk about
- 15:26Speaker 1: fitness because Dickie's here from Muleana Fitness. Good morning, Dickie.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Hey, good morning.
- 15:30Speaker 1: All right. So we work out with you four days
- 15:33Speaker 1: a week. It's kind of a hybrid type, what, strength
- 15:37Speaker 1: and conditioning type workouts?
- 15:39Speaker 2: Yeah. It's a strength and conditioning program, high intensity. High intensity.
- 15:45Speaker 2: I didn't know there was a word for it until recently.
- 15:48Speaker 2: This Hyrox has come around. I guess it's called hybrid training.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Hybrid training? I've been doing this for 15 years now.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Hybrid training. That's a little bit of everything.
- 15:57Speaker 2: It's compromised running, although our running is very much shorter
- 16:01Speaker 2: than the actual race.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:04Speaker 2: It's just, you know, we're combining, you know, your strength,
- 16:07Speaker 2: your agility, endurance, and a little bit of running here
- 16:11Speaker 2: and there, aka some cardio. So it's not always running sometimes. Yeah.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Jump ropes. Jump ropes. Bikes and things like that. But, yeah.
- 16:18Speaker 2: It's a very good program to get an overall athlete conditioning.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Now, let's talk about just about the conditioning part of it.
- 16:25Speaker 1: In a session of, what is it, about 50 minutes, 45,
- 16:29Speaker 1: 50 minutes, depending on what the workout is, it could
- 16:32Speaker 1: be anywhere between four to six, seven exercises, something like that.
- 16:38Speaker 1: And you can burn anywhere between 500 to 700 calories.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Within a 45-minute session.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. So you always want to see something that's
- 16:45Speaker 2: about 10 calories per minute. That's kind of a good engagement.
- 16:49Speaker 2: If you're trying to burn calories, obviously. If you're doing
- 16:52Speaker 2: strength training, a little bit less. Pure cardio, probably a
- 16:55Speaker 2: little bit more. But overall, you want to be about,
- 16:57Speaker 2: give or take, 10 calories per minute.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Now, when we talk about the classes, though, when you talk,
- 17:01Speaker 1: there are some meatheads out there that just want to
- 17:03Speaker 1: lift weights. And then there are some people out there
- 17:05Speaker 1: who like to run and the cardio a little more.
- 17:07Speaker 1: You can get both out of the workouts. I mean,
- 17:12Speaker 1: if you want to lift heavier weights, you can lift
- 17:14Speaker 1: heavier weights within the parameters of what the workout is
- 17:17Speaker 1: to get that strength training in. And if you want
- 17:20Speaker 1: to lean out a little more and you want to
- 17:22Speaker 1: do a little more reps and less weight, you can
- 17:24Speaker 1: do that as well. So the options, everything's available for
- 17:27Speaker 1: you depending on what you're trying to do within one workout,
- 17:30Speaker 1: even though it may look like, hey, that's a little
- 17:33Speaker 1: more cardio. Yeah, but there's also … strength training within.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Yeah, the whole program is, you know, look at, for example,
- 17:40Speaker 2: NFL linemen, right? They don't really need to run that far, right?
- 17:44Speaker 2: They're not like the receivers, things like that, but they
- 17:46Speaker 2: still have to have a conditioning, you know, and running
- 17:48Speaker 2: is a basic one, you know, conditioning 101 as far
- 17:51Speaker 2: as endurance and, you know, upping your VO2 max and
- 17:55Speaker 2: things like that. So we combine things, you know, I
- 17:58Speaker 2: hate certain things. There's things that you hate to do.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Everybody hates certain things. But you are forced to do
- 18:05Speaker 2: it to become a better person, a better athlete.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Yeah, Arnold and I were having that conversation yesterday about
- 18:11Speaker 1: the workout. He doesn't like doing burpees, so he doesn't
- 18:15Speaker 1: do as many burpees as he would, but he's okay
- 18:17Speaker 1: with some of the other things, riding the bike, things
- 18:19Speaker 1: like that that he could do. So hold on, Dickie.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Give everybody your phone number, how they can hold you.
- 18:27Speaker 1: 661-444-3635.
- 18:27Speaker 2: You can text me, call me, or find me on
- 18:29Speaker 2: Instagram under Muleana Fitness.
- 18:31Speaker 1: All right, so check them out. He'll let you try
- 18:33Speaker 1: the classes out. I do want to talk a little
- 18:35Speaker 1: bit very specifically about some of the exercises as it
- 18:38Speaker 1: balances out between strength, conditioning. I want to talk to
- 18:41Speaker 1: you guys about fitness. That's why Dickie is here from
- 18:43Speaker 1: Muleana Fitness.
- 18:44Speaker 2: 661-444-3635.
- 18:45Speaker 1: And you can see him on Instagram at Muleana Fitness.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Muleana Fitness. You can check him out there, and he'll
- 18:53Speaker 1: show you the gym, the classes, and everything that's going on. Now,
- 18:56Speaker 1: one of the things, there's a couple things I want
- 18:57Speaker 1: to tell you about we're going to talk about. It's
- 18:59Speaker 1: a class setting, so you do have other people that
- 19:02Speaker 1: are in misery with you, and you have other people
- 19:05Speaker 1: to talk to. If you bring a friend, you guys
- 19:08Speaker 1: can talk through the whole class.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Sometimes the friend that is sharing misery with somebody else
- 19:15Speaker 2: kind of gets you through the workout.
- 19:17Speaker 1: So just to recap real quick, it is a 45-
- 19:18Speaker 1: to 50-minute class. It's about, you know, it can be
- 19:22Speaker 1: anywhere from four exercises to maybe six exercises, seven, just
- 19:26Speaker 1: depending on whatever the workout is. It's a combination of everything.
- 19:29Speaker 1: It's not like the old school way of, okay, today's
- 19:32Speaker 1: leg day, okay, today's. You do kind of blend everything
- 19:36Speaker 1: into it.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it's, you know, it's a conditioning program.
- 19:41Speaker 2: This is originally a conditioning program for athletes, you know,
- 19:45Speaker 2: whether it's Major League Baseball, NFL, tennis, you name it.
- 19:50Speaker 2: But it's... You can't just do one. You can't just
- 19:54Speaker 2: do strength training. You can't just be the guy that
- 19:56Speaker 2: just lifts weights. It can't also not be ideal to
- 20:00Speaker 2: be just a runner. Even runners need to have strength training.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Golfers need strength training. They have to do core training,
- 20:08Speaker 2: which we do a lot of. We implement core training
- 20:11Speaker 2: to a lot of our regimen on a daily basis.
- 20:17Speaker 1: I do want to say this. People who have never
- 20:19Speaker 1: done it before don't realize that you might do curls.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Let's say you're a meathead and you want to do
- 20:26Speaker 1: 50-pound curls. I don't know if anybody can do it.
- 20:28Speaker 1: You can do that. But you also might have to
- 20:30Speaker 1: run a tenth of a mile, which is not very
- 20:33Speaker 1: far to run in one little session. whatever one time
- 20:38Speaker 1: you're not running four miles or six miles. Like I
- 20:41Speaker 1: see these guys get on the treadmill for two or
- 20:42Speaker 1: three miles and then go work out. And I think, right.
- 20:45Speaker 4: Okay.
- 20:45Speaker 1: That's just, it's monotonous. And, but these classes allow you
- 20:49Speaker 1: to both. Now, maybe you're a runner and you don't
- 20:52Speaker 1: want to lift 50 pound, you know, dumbbells. You can
- 20:56Speaker 1: list 25 or 15 or whatever it is, you.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Know, You know, I get a lot of questions. Do
- 21:00Speaker 2: I have to be a good runner? Because they hear
- 21:02Speaker 2: that we do some running.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Oh, no, I'm terrible at running.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Do you have to be a good runner? You have
- 21:07Speaker 2: to just be slightly faster than walking.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 21:12Speaker 2: It is literally a 15-minute mile pace, which is... I mean,
- 21:18Speaker 2: I've had my 400 pound clients that can do that,
- 21:20Speaker 2: you know, just walk around a little bit, just speed walking.
- 21:24Speaker 2: I'll get it there. So do you have to be
- 21:26Speaker 2: a good runner? No, you don't have to be a
- 21:27Speaker 2: good runner. But if you want to get more break, yeah,
- 21:31Speaker 2: go learn a little faster.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Right.
- 21:32Speaker 2: So depending on that. But no, you do not. The
- 21:35Speaker 2: question of that of a lot of questions is you
- 21:37Speaker 2: do not have to be a good runner. You just
- 21:38Speaker 2: have to do a little cardio.
- 21:40Speaker 1: What the classes do is they give you a perfect
- 21:42Speaker 1: balance of cardio and strength. Now, if you're great at
- 21:46Speaker 1: the strength, you can get through the cardio. If you're
- 21:49Speaker 1: great at the cardio, you can get through the strength.
- 21:51Speaker 1: That's really kind of what it comes down to. What
- 21:54Speaker 1: you're good at, you can get through real easily. What
- 21:56Speaker 1: you're not so good at, you'll get through it and
- 22:00Speaker 1: you'll get a little better at it.
- 22:01Speaker 2: And that's exactly the reason for the program is originally
- 22:04Speaker 2: when I started my training facility, is I would just say, hey,
- 22:11Speaker 2: this is the workout. Go for it, right? You're on
- 22:15Speaker 2: your own. You have a 15-minute running clock. Go for it.
- 22:17Speaker 2: And I had this one particular client who was at
- 22:20Speaker 2: the end of every single one when I had burpees
- 22:23Speaker 2: and any workout that had burpees, he would only do
- 22:26Speaker 2: like three rounds out of the 10.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Out of the 10, yeah.
- 22:29Speaker 2: And I said, what happened? He said, well, I really
- 22:32Speaker 2: struggle with burpees, but I don't want to skip, so
- 22:34Speaker 2: I just stuck with it. Yeah. And he wasted a
- 22:36Speaker 2: lot of time, so then... We made it to the
- 22:38Speaker 2: point where we had intervals. We had a certain time
- 22:41Speaker 2: for a certain amount of reps.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:42Speaker 2: You can't do it? Move on to the next one.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Move on to the next one. That way you get everything.
- 22:46Speaker 2: You're never left behind. All right.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Dickie Mugliana, Mugliana Fitness, 444-3635.
- 22:52Speaker 6: 3635.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Check him out on Instagram. You can see the gym.
- 22:56Speaker 1: The gym's a beautiful gym. There's equipment for everybody. You
- 22:58Speaker 1: don't really have to share anything, so it works out great.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Dickie's here from Mugliana Fitness. We work out with him
- 23:03Speaker 1: four days a week, Monday through Thursday. He has five sessions.
- 23:07Speaker 1: They are 45 to 50-minute sessions. So they start on time.
- 23:11Speaker 1: They end on time. You're in. You're out. You get
- 23:13Speaker 1: it done. It's not a bad deal, though.
- 23:16Speaker 2: So we have five sessions, 5, 6, and 8.30 for
- 23:18Speaker 2: the morning sessions, 5 and 6 for the evening sessions.
- 23:21Speaker 2: They are 50-minute sessions. They are group training. Co-ed, they
- 23:26Speaker 2: are men and women combined, young and old. It doesn't
- 23:29Speaker 2: really matter. Everybody has their own spots. Everybody's guaranteed a
- 23:34Speaker 2: training time every single day. So there's no online booking required.
- 23:39Speaker 2: You're always welcome to crash any other time that is
- 23:42Speaker 2: not your time.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Assuming there's availability.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Assuming, right. But almost, I've never had 100% attendance because
- 23:52Speaker 2: their life happens and, you know, that's exactly what happens.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:55Speaker 1: And just so you guys know, when we say class setting,
- 23:59Speaker 1: it's not like a Zumba or something like that where
- 24:02Speaker 1: you can get left behind if you don't know what's
- 24:05Speaker 1: going on. You cannot get left behind in these classes
- 24:08Speaker 1: because the way they're timed, the way they're structured, even
- 24:11Speaker 1: if you're not good at something, you always get to
- 24:13Speaker 1: move on.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're almost never lost unless your neighbor is
- 24:17Speaker 2: lost and I'm not looking at you. You're never lost
- 24:21Speaker 2: because everybody in the class is doing the exact same
- 24:23Speaker 2: exercise at the same time. So everybody goes through this
- 24:28Speaker 2: training program together. And so if you need help and
- 24:31Speaker 2: you kind of need guidance, it's always there.
- 24:34Speaker 1: A couple of small things, or they're big things, but
- 24:37Speaker 1: just so you guys know, if you need meal plans...
- 24:39Speaker 1: Dickie will help you out with that based on what
- 24:41Speaker 1: you like to eat, based on what you're trying to do,
- 24:43Speaker 1: whether build muscle, lose weight, use a polar monitoring system,
- 24:47Speaker 1: very accurate to know exactly how many calories you've burned.
- 24:52Speaker 1: So you know how many calories you could eat. That's
- 24:55Speaker 1: very important for those of us that are losing weight.
- 24:57Speaker 1: And so it is, there's a lot of science to it.
- 25:01Speaker 1: And it is, if you're really looking to accomplish whatever
- 25:03Speaker 1: it is, maybe you're You know, maybe you want to
- 25:06Speaker 1: go into the police academy or you're going to, I mean,
- 25:08Speaker 1: even Doc, Doc was going into the military and Doc
- 25:11Speaker 1: worked out with us for a few months to get
- 25:13Speaker 1: him to drop that weight that he needed to for
- 25:15Speaker 1: the military. And I mean, so there's a lot of,
- 25:18Speaker 1: for a lot of you guys that are going to
- 25:19Speaker 1: physical jobs.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, we had a, we hosted as a
- 25:25Speaker 2: workout for applicants for CHP a couple of weeks ago
- 25:29Speaker 2: and it is exactly what they needed. They needed the
- 25:31Speaker 2: high intensity training. you know, combining with strength, core, and
- 25:36Speaker 2: their running endurance, that was something, part of their test, right?
- 25:40Speaker 2: Their physical test they had to do, and we covered
- 25:43Speaker 2: it all, and all within a one-hour session.
- 25:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:47Speaker 2: On a Saturday. So we do that for all pretty
- 25:51Speaker 2: much law enforcement and military, which is usually perfect. Firefighters.
- 25:55Speaker 1: You guys are going into that field.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Any public service that has to do with physical job
- 26:00Speaker 2: is exactly what is intended for.
- 26:02Speaker 5: Sure.
- 26:03Speaker 1: You guys give Dickie a call. 444-3635. That is the
- 26:07Speaker 1: phone number. Or check him out on Muleana Fitness, Dickie.
- 26:10Speaker 1: We'll talk to you later.
- 26:11Speaker 5: You got it.
- 26:11Speaker 1: We'll see you on Monday. Oh, no, Monday's a holiday.
- 26:13Speaker 1: We'll see you on Monday. All right.
- 26:14Speaker 2: I'll see you on Monday. I'll still be there. Let's go.
- 26:16Speaker 1: When I got up this morning at 3, I had
- 26:19Speaker 1: three missed messages from like midnight. And I listened to
- 26:23Speaker 1: them this morning, and it's one of my buddies, a boy.
- 26:27Speaker 1: My boy, Ed, he lives down in San Diego, right? Well,
- 26:29Speaker 1: he calls me, and I didn't answer, obviously, so he
- 26:32Speaker 1: left me three messages. Three times he called me in
- 26:35Speaker 1: a row. And he proceeds to tell me about one
- 26:37Speaker 1: of our friends, James. So my buddy James, check out,
- 26:39Speaker 1: my buddy James and his wife, he caught his wife
- 26:42Speaker 1: cheating on her. And they lived here in California.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:46Speaker 1: And they actually lived in San Diego. That's with my
- 26:50Speaker 1: other buddy Ed. They lived in the same area. His
- 26:53Speaker 1: wife cheated, and they had a kid together. Well, James
- 26:57Speaker 1: and his wife had a kid together. And so then
- 27:02Speaker 1: she ends up cheating on him. And so they split up.
- 27:07Speaker 1: They break up. They get divorced, right? This happened a year,
- 27:09Speaker 1: 18 months ago, maybe two years ago, something like that, right?
- 27:13Speaker 1: So she decides that she's going to go move to,
- 27:16Speaker 1: I think it was Michigan is where she lives now.
- 27:18Speaker 1: They moved to Michigan, right? Her and her kid are
- 27:20Speaker 1: going to move to Michigan. Well, James didn't want to
- 27:23Speaker 1: be away from his kid, so he moved also. Not
- 27:27Speaker 1: to be with her, not to save it, but he
- 27:28Speaker 1: just wanted to be around his son. So they moved
- 27:31Speaker 1: to Michigan. So this is so ridiculous. So now let
- 27:37Speaker 1: me tell you this. A lot of my friends make
- 27:39Speaker 1: really good money. They're all college-educated dudes, went to, you know,
- 27:42Speaker 1: And are very successful. So James just moved his business
- 27:45Speaker 1: over to me. Well, apparently his ex had started dating
- 27:49Speaker 1: some dude. She was living with them. They were having
- 27:53Speaker 1: a relationship. Everything was going great between her and the guy.
- 27:56Speaker 1: I guess James said the dude was cool. He didn't
- 27:58Speaker 1: even have a problem with him. And his kid being
- 28:00Speaker 1: around him. So everything was going great. She ends up
- 28:04Speaker 1: cheating on him. So now she loses her meal ticket
- 28:08Speaker 1: with this new guy. Well, now this is where everything
- 28:12Speaker 1: got wild and why I got three phone calls in
- 28:15Speaker 1: a row from my buddy Ed. Because after this new
- 28:21Speaker 1: guy kicked the girl and the kid out of the house,
- 28:24Speaker 1: she runs back to my buddy James. And James takes
- 28:27Speaker 1: him in, right? This is where my boy Ed is
- 28:31Speaker 1: just flipping out. Calls me, oh, you got to call him.
- 28:34Speaker 1: You got to talk to him. I can't believe he's
- 28:35Speaker 1: doing this. What's wrong? She's going to manipulate him, blah, blah, blah.
- 28:40Speaker 1: James is 45 years old, okay? He is not some
- 28:45Speaker 1: dumb kid. And it sounds to me like he's just trying... Now,
- 28:49Speaker 1: I haven't talked.
- 28:50Speaker 2: To him yet.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Like I said, this all just happened today. So, I
- 28:55Speaker 1: called Ed back this morning when I got up and
- 28:57Speaker 1: told him to calm down. What's wrong with you? Relax.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Why are you flipping out over James? He's a grown-ass man,
- 29:03Speaker 1: you know?
- 29:06Speaker 2: And.
- 29:07Speaker 1: He obviously doesn't want his kid on the street. So
- 29:11Speaker 1: part of doing that means you got to take in
- 29:13Speaker 1: the ex or who cheated on you. What are you
- 29:16Speaker 1: going to do? Let your kid live on the street?
- 29:19Speaker 1: I mean, and then I just thought to myself, why
- 29:23Speaker 1: do you care, Ed? Why are you so wound up
- 29:27Speaker 1: over this? I understand we've been friends for 20-something years,
- 29:31Speaker 1: 20-plus years we've all been friends, probably longer than that
- 29:34Speaker 1: since we were in high school. But What in the
- 29:38Speaker 1: hell is wrong with you, man? Why do you care?
- 29:42Speaker 1: He's a grown-ass man. He'll be fine. You think they're
- 29:48Speaker 1: going to get back together? I mean, what do you
- 29:50Speaker 1: think's happening? He's just trying to make sure his kid's
- 29:53Speaker 1: not living in the street because his mom's an idiot.
- 29:58Speaker 1: So what do you.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Sometimes you people need to mind your own business. I
- 30:02Speaker 1: know the internet has made it very hard to do
- 30:04Speaker 1: that nowadays, but sometimes you need to just mind your
- 30:07Speaker 1: own business. He's going to be fine. Rd4254727. Why do
- 30:15Speaker 1: you people care so much? Think about what is it
- 30:20Speaker 1: really going to do to my buddy Ed? Let's say
- 30:24Speaker 1: my boy James gets screwed over all over again in
- 30:26Speaker 1: some capacity. How does it affect Ed? It's like a
- 30:31Speaker 1: math problem, huh? If train A leaves at 2 and
- 30:34Speaker 1: train B leaves at 3.15, why do you care? At
- 30:38Speaker 1: least to the extent that you're going to call me
- 30:40Speaker 1: three damn times at midnight. You guys need to get
- 30:45Speaker 1: a life. So, yeah, one of my friends called me
- 30:48Speaker 1: today three times, calls me three times in the middle
- 30:53Speaker 1: of the night to tell me that a friend of
- 30:55Speaker 1: ours who moved to Michigan, I think it was Michigan,
- 30:59Speaker 1: moved to Michigan to be around his son. So what
- 31:00Speaker 1: happened was my boy, James, they were living in San
- 31:03Speaker 1: Diego and he does very well for himself. Um, so he, uh,
- 31:08Speaker 1: his wife ends up cheating on him. They have a
- 31:10Speaker 1: kid together. The wife, James and the wife have a
- 31:12Speaker 1: kid together. The wife cheats on him. She decides she's
- 31:14Speaker 1: going to move to Michigan for some reason. And, um,
- 31:18Speaker 1: So he decides he's going to move over there, too.
- 31:20Speaker 1: He's going to move out to Michigan to be closer
- 31:21Speaker 1: to his son. He doesn't want to not be around
- 31:23Speaker 1: his son. So he does all that. Apparently, she was
- 31:26Speaker 1: with a guy who was taking care of her. Now,
- 31:27Speaker 1: this woman's not really the working type. She's more of
- 31:29Speaker 1: the marrying type. But apparently, she's not faithful. So this
- 31:34Speaker 1: guy that she was living with, taking care of, and
- 31:36Speaker 1: Bam said he was a great guy, was taking care
- 31:38Speaker 1: of her and the kid. And he was seeing his son.
- 31:42Speaker 1: And she ends up cheating on this guy. So now
- 31:43Speaker 1: she's thrown out.
- 31:45Speaker 4: So.
- 31:45Speaker 1: My boy Ed calls me to yell at me. Not
- 31:47Speaker 1: to yell at me, but you've got to tell James.
- 31:49Speaker 1: You've got to call James. You've got to be like,
- 31:51Speaker 1: I've got to do a damn thing. James is a
- 31:53Speaker 1: grown-ass man. And so what happened was James let his
- 31:57Speaker 1: ex and his kid move in with him or stay
- 32:04Speaker 1: with him for now. My boy Ed's flipping out. He
- 32:08Speaker 1: never should have done it. She's going to get back
- 32:09Speaker 1: and manipulate him. Who cares? My God. It's his kid.
- 32:15Speaker 1: What do you want to do? Leave your kid hanging?
- 32:19Speaker 1: I mean, what do you want to do? What do
- 32:20Speaker 1: you want him to do? You know? Yeah. R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Yo, Rome.
- 32:29Speaker 1: What he needs to do is you take the kid
- 32:31Speaker 1: in and leave the hoe for the streets. Is that
- 32:35Speaker 1: even possible?
- 32:37Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 32:37Speaker 1: What are the laws? What are the, there's laws, right?
- 32:40Speaker 1: Doesn't the mom always get the kid? I don't know
- 32:41Speaker 1: what the laws are for getting your kid. I agree
- 32:44Speaker 1: with you. I guess he could have done that. You know,
- 32:46Speaker 1: just taking the kid and let her hang out in
- 32:48Speaker 1: the streets. I get it. But, uh, legally, can you
- 32:52Speaker 1: do that as the father? Can you, the mom has
- 32:54Speaker 1: to agree, right? I don't, I've known her. I know,
- 32:58Speaker 1: I know James's ex and she's, uh, you know, she's
- 33:02Speaker 1: not just, um, you know, Basshead, living on the streets,
- 33:05Speaker 1: jumping from guy to guy. She lives pretty high society.
- 33:08Speaker 1: She jumps from Richmond. My boy's got real money. And
- 33:14Speaker 1: the next guy she had, this guy apparently that she
- 33:16Speaker 1: was with, that she was cheating on that kicked her out,
- 33:19Speaker 1: had real money too. So she's not picking up schlubs.
- 33:24Speaker 1: I don't even know if you can do that, right?
- 33:26Speaker 2: Can you?
- 33:27Speaker 1: Can you do that? I mean, what do you guys do?
- 33:31Speaker 1: And you know, it's funny that you say that because
- 33:32Speaker 1: there's a lot of you idiots here in Bakersfield that
- 33:35Speaker 1: take care of your son's mother out of obligation or
- 33:38Speaker 1: your child's baby mama because you feel some obligation to
- 33:41Speaker 1: take care of that person because they have your kids.
- 33:44Speaker 1: So can you blame my boy for doing it? I
- 33:47Speaker 1: don't know. Man, what a long night I had. Well,
- 33:50Speaker 1: I guess it wasn't too long, but I woke up
- 33:53Speaker 1: this morning to three messages from a friend of mine.
- 33:56Speaker 1: My boy Ed was trying to tell me what happened.
- 33:59Speaker 1: And apparently it couldn't wait till, you know, I get
- 34:01Speaker 1: up at 3 a.m. It couldn't wait till 3 a.m.
- 34:04Speaker 1: He had to call me in the middle of the
- 34:05Speaker 1: night to let me know. Just frantic, just panicking. It
- 34:07Speaker 1: was so stupid, so ridiculous. A friend of ours, a
- 34:14Speaker 1: friend of ours named James, he moved to Michigan a
- 34:19Speaker 1: while back because him and his ex, him and his ex,
- 34:22Speaker 1: his baby mama, she cheated on him. So she decided
- 34:25Speaker 1: to move out of state. So he followed her. He'd
- 34:28Speaker 1: be closer to his son. He didn't want to live.
- 34:31Speaker 1: He didn't want to be this far away from his kid.
- 34:34Speaker 1: He wanted to be around him every day. So he
- 34:36Speaker 1: just picked up and moved, and he could. He has
- 34:38Speaker 1: a great business, very successful business that he does. He
- 34:40Speaker 1: could just move. It was no big deal for him.
- 34:44Speaker 1: But she shacked up with another dude. Another dude, she
- 34:46Speaker 1: was a stay-at-home wife, stay-at-home whatever. I don't think they
- 34:50Speaker 1: ever married, but stay-at-home. And so she ended up cheating
- 34:54Speaker 1: on this guy. Well, the guy caught her, kicked her out.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Now she's got nowhere to go. She called up my
- 34:59Speaker 1: boy James. That's why my other friend was calling me
- 35:02Speaker 1: so frantic. Oh, my God, he's taking her back. She
- 35:05Speaker 1: got kicked out, so now they're staying with him now.
- 35:07Speaker 1: And I'm like, okay, first of all, why do you
- 35:09Speaker 1: give a damn? Whatever he does does not affect you
- 35:12Speaker 1: one bit at all. Second of all, and this is
- 35:18Speaker 1: the most important of all, why the hell are you
- 35:20Speaker 1: calling me at midnight three times in a row to
- 35:23Speaker 1: tell me that I need to call him and talk
- 35:25Speaker 1: to him? You know? I mean, okay, I'll call him.
- 35:30Speaker 1: I'll talk to him. But I'm not going to talk
- 35:32Speaker 1: to him like you think I am. I mean, my
- 35:35Speaker 1: thought when I heard it all was, my first thought was, okay,
- 35:40Speaker 1: he doesn't want his kid on the street. The mom
- 35:43Speaker 1: screwed up again. She got kicked out, lost her man,
- 35:46Speaker 1: and he doesn't want his kid on the street. So
- 35:49Speaker 1: I guess part of that is taking in the mom also. Now,
- 35:52Speaker 1: somebody else said, well, taking the kid, leave the mom hanging.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I don't know if you can do that, but I
- 35:56Speaker 1: don't know. Um, he's not really that type of guy.
- 35:59Speaker 1: He's kind of a good guy. So maybe that's why
- 36:01Speaker 1: I don't know, but it's not that huge of a deal. Okay.
- 36:08Speaker 1: And it's not so, uh, important for you to be
- 36:12Speaker 1: so wound up in the way that my buddy is.
- 36:14Speaker 1: It's just stupid. Hey, good morning, Rome. Uh, to answer
- 36:18Speaker 1: your question, you're in California. Yes. It's bad for the
- 36:22Speaker 1: dad girls, but yeah, but they don't live in California.
- 36:26Speaker 1: They I think it's Michigan now. It's bad for the dad.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Girl is way more right when it comes to the kids,
- 36:33Speaker 1: but other places have, oh, I see what you're saying. Sorry,
- 36:35Speaker 1: I didn't finish it. Other places have different regulations. I
- 36:41Speaker 1: don't know about where she's living. I didn't hear where
- 36:45Speaker 1: you said she was staying at. Oh, they're in Michigan.
- 36:48Speaker 1: They're in Michigan, some little rich suburb of, I don't know,
- 36:53Speaker 1: somewhere in Michigan. I don't know. I've never been there. So,
- 36:58Speaker 1: I mean, I talk to James pretty frequently because him
- 37:00Speaker 1: and I are... You know how it goes. When you
- 37:03Speaker 1: have a large group of friends, some friends are closer
- 37:06Speaker 1: to others than... You're all still friends, but within that group,
- 37:09Speaker 1: some people are a little closer. Him and I are
- 37:11Speaker 1: a little closer. But... So I guess this all happened
- 37:18Speaker 1: within the last day or two. And I haven't had
- 37:20Speaker 1: a chance to talk to him about it, but apparently
- 37:22Speaker 1: my other boy found out and is just losing his
- 37:24Speaker 1: mind over it.
- 37:26Speaker 4: Which.
- 37:27Speaker 1: I don't know why. I mean, what is wrong with
- 37:30Speaker 1: you people? First of all, everybody needs to relax, okay?
- 37:33Speaker 1: And second of all, if his only option, and I
- 37:38Speaker 1: don't know what the rules are, but if his only
- 37:40Speaker 1: option to keep his kid out of a shelter or
- 37:43Speaker 1: off the streets or whatever is to take in his ex,
- 37:50Speaker 1: who's his baby mama, his ex-wife, who's his baby mama,
- 37:53Speaker 1: then what do you care? What's he going to lose?
- 37:59Speaker 1: I mean, seriously. A buddy of mine called me about
- 38:01Speaker 1: another buddy of mine who apparently the other buddy of
- 38:07Speaker 1: mine has an ex-wife with a kid. They had a
- 38:10Speaker 1: kid together. Ex-wife who cheated on him. So he divorced her.
- 38:16Speaker 1: She has the kid. She moved out to another state.
- 38:19Speaker 1: And she was living with another guy who was taking
- 38:21Speaker 1: care of her. And she cheated on him. She got
- 38:25Speaker 1: kicked out. her and the son were out on the streets.
- 38:28Speaker 1: My boy James said, come stay with me. And now
- 38:31Speaker 1: another friend of ours is just all up in arms
- 38:34Speaker 1: about it. I can't believe he did it. Good morning,
- 38:36Speaker 1: how's it going on?
- 38:37Speaker 7: Hey, what up, bro?
- 38:37Speaker 1: Hey, what up, brother?
- 38:39Speaker 7: Hey, bro, I believe I can speak on this because
- 38:41Speaker 7: I've been in this situation before.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Okay.
- 38:45Speaker 7: Mind you, he's a good dude. Now, me at a
- 38:47Speaker 7: younger age, I would have been like, hell no, just
- 38:50Speaker 7: drop the kid off and I'll figure it out to
- 38:54Speaker 7: the mom. But, Like I said, he's probably a good dude,
- 38:58Speaker 7: you know?
- 38:59Speaker 1: Well, can you... I don't know if you can even
- 39:01Speaker 1: do that legally, right? If she says no, then you can't...
- 39:05Speaker 1: There's nothing... You can't legally.
- 39:06Speaker 4: Do that, right?
- 39:08Speaker 7: Well, no, I mean, I've dealt with child support and
- 39:11Speaker 7: all that.
- 39:13Speaker 4: Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 39:15Speaker 7: Whatever they have, you know, and maybe your friend is
- 39:18Speaker 7: so mad because... Because... You know, he got this dirty,
- 39:24Speaker 7: and he was in maybe the banks.
- 39:25Speaker 4: I don't know the story.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Well, I'm going to put it to you like this,
- 39:28Speaker 1: and I'm going to be honest with you.
- 39:29Speaker 4: About.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Of all my friends, about nine out of ten of
- 39:32Speaker 1: them had all been done dirty by some broad. But
- 39:35Speaker 1: it's not because they didn't deserve it.
- 39:39Speaker 7: No, yeah, but what I'm saying is, like, the guy,
- 39:43Speaker 7: your other friend that's calling you, that's probably why he'd
- 39:46Speaker 7: make no more. That's probably why he's freaking out. At
- 39:48Speaker 7: the end of the day, it's none of his business.
- 39:50Speaker 7: Now that I'm older and it's been, like, you know,
- 39:52Speaker 7: my son's mom, you know, went through some stuff, and
- 39:55Speaker 7: I'm like, yo, like... You know, I pay child support.
- 39:57Speaker 7: You know, I do the stuff. You know, hey, I
- 39:59Speaker 7: have a one bedroom apartment. Like, I ain't got much,
- 40:01Speaker 7: but you ain't got nowhere to go. You and the
- 40:03Speaker 7: kids can have the room.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Sure.
- 40:04Speaker 7: I'll sleep on the couch, you know, and then because
- 40:07Speaker 7: at the end of the day, you got to set
- 40:09Speaker 7: an example for your kids. You know, like, I don't
- 40:11Speaker 7: disrespect my son's mom. I don't talk about her bad
- 40:14Speaker 7: in front of my son, like at all, really, you know,
- 40:16Speaker 7: now that I'm older. Yeah. So the other guy, you'd
- 40:20Speaker 7: like me to relax. It's not your business.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Yeah, Ed does need to calm down. He gets a
- 40:24Speaker 1: little excitable, though. He's a little excitable.
- 40:26Speaker 4: And who knows?
- 40:27Speaker 7: The other negative part, if he has a woman, which,
- 40:30Speaker 7: I mean, maybe he does, but that might affect his relationship,
- 40:33Speaker 7: letting her move in, you know?
- 40:35Speaker 1: Oh, you know what? He does not. No, he doesn't
- 40:37Speaker 1: have a woman. No, he doesn't have a woman. I
- 40:41Speaker 1: don't know how long they're staying. It all just happened
- 40:43Speaker 1: last night or the night before. So I have no idea.
- 40:47Speaker 7: I'm saying like if he does have a woman, that
- 40:49Speaker 7: might affect his relationship.
- 40:50Speaker 1: But if he doesn't, who knows?
- 40:52Speaker 7: Maybe she understands.
- 40:54Speaker 4: Like, you know what? I had a good thing.
- 40:57Speaker 7: It's time for me to start over, and maybe his
- 40:58Speaker 7: family can get back together, you know?
- 41:00Speaker 1: Oh, no, she's a cheating whore. She's a cheating whore.
- 41:03Speaker 1: She's done just like the third or fourth dude she
- 41:04Speaker 1: done cheated on.
- 41:05Speaker 4: No, it ain't.
- 41:05Speaker 1: No, it ain't.
- 41:07Speaker 4: Oh, not a repetitive cycle?
- 41:08Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a way better dude than I am.
- 41:11Speaker 1: He ain't getting back together. I mean, he might hit
- 41:13Speaker 1: it while she's living there, but he ain't getting back together.
- 41:15Speaker 1: No way in heck he's doing that.
- 41:17Speaker 3: No way.
- 41:19Speaker 1: But I'll find out. I'll call him today and find
- 41:21Speaker 1: out what's going on. All right, man. Thanks for calling.
- 41:25Speaker 4: Hey, if that's a repeated cycle, he's a better dude
- 41:27Speaker 4: than I was. I'm going to close the door on
- 41:28Speaker 4: her like a baby boy. Get out of here.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Nope. Yeah, all right, man. I mean, what are you
- 41:34Speaker 1: going to do, bro? You don't want your kid on
- 41:36Speaker 1: the street. But then again, you don't, you know, what
- 41:39Speaker 1: are you supposed to do? All right, 842-547-7277. I always
- 41:45Speaker 1: love it when people tell me I'm stupid. Rome, you're
- 41:47Speaker 1: just some sort of simp. I bet your boy's the
- 41:49Speaker 1: same way. Gonna let his ex back in the house
- 41:52Speaker 1: after she cheated on him. Kid or no kid, I
- 41:55Speaker 1: would never let it happen. Well, it's just because you're
- 41:57Speaker 1: a punk-ass dude. I mean, you're just a punk-ass dude.
- 42:01Speaker 1: That's why. Because the reality is this. If you're a
- 42:05Speaker 1: real dude, if you're a real man, you know, you'll
- 42:07Speaker 1: handle yours. And even if you get done dirty, you
- 42:11Speaker 1: just move on. And you rise above it. And if
- 42:14Speaker 1: you've got to take care of your kid in whatever
- 42:18Speaker 1: capacity that means, and you feel like you're getting screwed
- 42:20Speaker 1: over by child support, you're just a punk-ass dude. Take
- 42:23Speaker 1: care of the kid. Make sure the kid has it.
- 42:25Speaker 1: And go make more. And go live a better life.
- 42:28Speaker 1: What is wrong with you? Man up. A big tragedy
- 42:30Speaker 1: in my friend group overnight, I found out. A buddy
- 42:34Speaker 1: of mine, Ed, he calls me middle of the night. Now,
- 42:38Speaker 1: I don't have my phone, so if you call me
- 42:40Speaker 1: in the middle of the night, I'm not going to
- 42:41Speaker 1: get it until I wake up in the morning, okay?
- 42:43Speaker 1: So he calls me three times, leaves me three separate messages.
- 42:46Speaker 1: A friend of ours who moved to Michigan to follow
- 42:48Speaker 1: his kid. A friend of ours who lived down in
- 42:50Speaker 1: San Diego. His wife cheats on him. They have a
- 42:54Speaker 1: son together. His wife cheats on him. He divorces her.
- 42:58Speaker 1: She ends up going out to Michigan for some reason.
- 43:00Speaker 1: I don't remember the reason why. And she's living with
- 43:03Speaker 1: some other dude who, once again, is taking care of her.
- 43:05Speaker 1: She's living, you know, she's being the housewife or whatever.
- 43:09Speaker 1: I don't know if they were married either. I don't
- 43:10Speaker 1: think they were married though. She ends up cheating on
- 43:12Speaker 1: this guy. And, um, you know, it's funny by the way,
- 43:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you real quick. What's funny. She cheated
- 43:19Speaker 1: on my, my buddy James and this other guy, both
- 43:23Speaker 1: because they work too much. That was her logic for
- 43:26Speaker 1: cheating is, uh, they work too much. At least that's what,
- 43:29Speaker 1: that's why she said she cheated on my boy was
- 43:31Speaker 1: because he was always at work. But Why do these
- 43:34Speaker 1: dumbass women, you want to have this life of luxury
- 43:37Speaker 1: where you don't have to go to work and you
- 43:39Speaker 1: can just buy whatever you want and stay at home
- 43:41Speaker 1: all day and do whatever you want. But yet then
- 43:43Speaker 1: you're going to get mad because the dude that's paying
- 43:45Speaker 1: for all that has to go to work and pay
- 43:47Speaker 1: for all that. And then you're going to do them dirty.
- 43:49Speaker 1: And that's basically what she did. So James moves out
- 43:52Speaker 1: to Michigan to, you know, be around his son. He
- 43:56Speaker 1: didn't want to be that far away. Moved to the
- 43:58Speaker 1: same town, whatever. Everything's going good. So I guess she
- 44:01Speaker 1: got thrown out because she cheated on this other dude,
- 44:04Speaker 1: got kicked out. Now she needs a place to stay.
- 44:07Speaker 1: So what did he do? He let his son and
- 44:09Speaker 1: her move in with him for now. Well, stay with him.
- 44:12Speaker 1: I don't know they moved in, but it's only happened
- 44:14Speaker 1: a few days ago. So it's a big uproar in
- 44:20Speaker 1: my friends' group. Everybody's, oh, my God, I can't believe
- 44:22Speaker 1: you did this, blah, blah, blah. Bro, you got to
- 44:24Speaker 1: call him. You got to talk to him because you're
- 44:26Speaker 1: his best friend, blah, blah, blah. I'm like, yeah, I
- 44:29Speaker 1: don't care. I actually don't care. If that's what he's
- 44:33Speaker 1: going to do, then that's what he's going to do.
- 44:34Speaker 1: He's a grown ass man with his own money. Right?
- 44:38Speaker 1: So what do you think is going to happen? And
- 44:39Speaker 1: why are you worried about it? To me, he's just
- 44:41Speaker 1: getting his kid out the street. You know, he just
- 44:43Speaker 1: wants his kid to have a place to stay. And
- 44:47Speaker 1: not be up here, you know. Yeah. Already 4254727. Hey, Rome.
- 44:55Speaker 1: I'm sure he didn't want his ex to take their
- 44:58Speaker 1: son and move back out of the state again. If
- 45:01Speaker 1: she had nowhere else to go, that's a great point.
- 45:05Speaker 1: She already got, she already cheated on him and headed
- 45:08Speaker 1: out of state with their son. So he had to
- 45:10Speaker 1: go follow her to be a son or follow his son.
- 45:12Speaker 1: And now she done cheated again and blew it all
- 45:15Speaker 1: up again. So you might be right. Maybe he just,
- 45:18Speaker 1: you know, trying to keep his son as stable as
- 45:20Speaker 1: possible for now. And if the cost of doing business
- 45:24Speaker 1: is making sure his ex isn't out on the streets,
- 45:26Speaker 1: then that's the cost of doing business, you know? Why
- 45:30Speaker 1: are you worried about it? Why do you care? I don't.
- 45:33Speaker 1: I mean, I'll give him a call today and I'll
- 45:35Speaker 1: talk to him about it, but I just don't care.
- 45:37Speaker 1: You got to deal with these. Why are you people
- 45:38Speaker 1: always up in everybody's business? Why are you always, you know,
- 45:42Speaker 1: we had this conversation with Michael Bean the other day.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Why are you people always judging somebody else's life based on,
- 45:51Speaker 1: you know, the way you do things? He's just trying
- 45:55Speaker 1: to take care of his son, in my opinion. Now,
- 45:57Speaker 1: if his ex, you know, cheating baby mama, benefits from
- 46:03Speaker 1: that in some capacity, what are you going to do?
- 46:07Speaker 1: You know? You got to make sure the kid, he
- 46:11Speaker 1: moved to another state. This is a California-raised boy. He
- 46:14Speaker 1: moved to another state to be close to his son.
- 46:20Speaker 1: What do you think he's going to do? Take care
- 46:22Speaker 1: of his son. And my buddies are just so, you
- 46:26Speaker 1: guys are just so. You're going to take L's in life.
- 46:31Speaker 1: All right? Stop acting like you're not. And you dudes
- 46:34Speaker 1: are so insecure and so afraid. Oh, my God, I'm
- 46:38Speaker 1: being taken advantage of. Well, you probably always were. But
- 46:44Speaker 1: just because you're taken advantage of doesn't mean you're a
- 46:48Speaker 1: weak-ass dude, especially when it comes to your kids. So
- 46:53Speaker 1: everybody needs to relax. It's just so childish. You're just
- 47:00Speaker 1: such insecure morons. It's unbelievable. I don't know why it is.
- 47:08Speaker 1: This is what I don't understand about dudes. Dudes always
- 47:13Speaker 1: feel like somebody's taking... They always feel like their wife
- 47:17Speaker 1: or their kid is taking food out of their mouth.
- 47:21Speaker 1: You know, taking food off your plate. Well, just go
- 47:24Speaker 1: get more food. Let them take the food and go
- 47:27Speaker 1: get more. Or their ex, I should say. Ex and kid.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Ex baby mama. You know, I'm not saying be taken
- 47:37Speaker 1: advantage of to, you know, just blatantly taken advantage of.
- 47:40Speaker 1: But when there are some situations that, hey, you can't help. Hey,
- 47:46Speaker 1: what's up, Ron?
- 47:46Speaker 3: Hey, Ruben. What up, man?
- 47:48Speaker 7: Man, a lot of people, like, I see dudes will
- 47:51Speaker 7: take a loss on other stuff, but when it comes
- 47:53Speaker 7: to their family, like, they're worried about what people gotta say.
- 47:56Speaker 3: And I'm like, dude, that's your family.
- 47:58Speaker 2: That's your kid.
- 47:59Speaker 4: You gotta do what you gotta do to make sure
- 48:00Speaker 4: your kid's good.
- 48:02Speaker 1: You would think that that would be the first and foremost,
- 48:05Speaker 1: but a lot of these, especially these dudes in Bakersfield, man,
- 48:08Speaker 1: I don't know what... What, you know, who broke their
- 48:11Speaker 1: heart or hurt their feelings so much or how pathetic
- 48:13Speaker 1: they are as a man that they afraid to lose
- 48:15Speaker 1: once in a while. Sometimes you lose, man. It's just
- 48:18Speaker 1: a part of life.
- 48:19Speaker 4: It's exactly what I tell people, Roman.
- 48:21Speaker 1: It's a part of life. You lose some, you win some.
- 48:24Speaker 4: And you just keep rolling.
- 48:25Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 48:27Speaker 4: But these fools get so caught up. And you know
- 48:29Speaker 4: what's funny?
- 48:29Speaker 7: The people that get caught up are the ones that
- 48:31Speaker 7: don't even have nothing to do with it, Roman.
- 48:34Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 48:35Speaker 4: They're all so stressed out about something.
- 48:37Speaker 7: And it's like, dude, homeboy might be whipped.
- 48:40Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 48:41Speaker 4: And he's getting something out of it. And another big
- 48:44Speaker 4: thing is his kid. Obviously, he moved across the state.
- 48:48Speaker 7: For a reason.
- 48:48Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 48:49Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 48:50Speaker 5: So he's not going to just leave his boys going
- 48:52Speaker 5: out the house and living in somebody's, sleeping on the
- 48:55Speaker 5: couch somewhere.
- 48:56Speaker 4: Like, come on, dude.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Well, they probably would stay at a hotel. We're not
- 49:01Speaker 1: talking about poor people here, but okay.
- 49:04Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, but still even having your kids at a
- 49:05Speaker 4: hotel and you're at your house?
- 49:07Speaker 1: Come on. You know you're not going to be comfortable.
- 49:09Speaker 1: I get it. I get it.
- 49:10Speaker 4: Yeah, so these fools need to quit charity, just drink
- 49:13Speaker 4: a beer, and just be there and let.
- 49:15Speaker 6: Homeboy tell his story.
- 49:17Speaker 4: You know what I mean? That's it. You got to
- 49:19Speaker 4: listen to the story and just let it be.
- 49:21Speaker 1: All right, brother. Talk to you later.
- 49:23Speaker 3: Later, bro.
- 49:24Speaker 1: All I'm saying is, you know, sometimes you lose. You
- 49:26Speaker 1: dudes cannot take a loss. That's the problem with these
- 49:28Speaker 1: punk-ass dudes in Bakersfield. These cats can't understand that, hey,
- 49:32Speaker 1: sometimes you're going to lose, man. That doesn't make you pathetic.
- 49:35Speaker 1: It just makes you a man. Sometimes men lose, right?
- 49:41Speaker 1: But sometimes you don't lose when you do the right thing,
- 49:44Speaker 1: especially if it's for your kid, okay? And yes, you
- 49:48Speaker 1: don't want to blatantly be taken advantage of. I get that.
- 49:51Speaker 1: And you have to draw a line at some point
- 49:54Speaker 1: if you are blatantly being taken advantage of. And yes,
- 50:00Speaker 1: but you're more of a punk for trying to sit
- 50:03Speaker 1: there and not understand the reality of your relationship or
- 50:07Speaker 1: your situation, then you are just taking the L and
- 50:12Speaker 1: moving on. Take the L and go on to what's next.
- 50:14Speaker 1: All right, 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7. Go to work, Ruben. I keep
- 50:21Speaker 1: telling you guys, Ruben's probably at work, to be honest
- 50:24Speaker 1: with you. Yeah, he's probably at work right now. Hey,
- 50:30Speaker 1: good morning, Romeo. Nah, brah, your boy must have got
- 50:33Speaker 1: the worst divorce lawyer of all time because when it
- 50:36Speaker 1: goes to infidelity, it's a big hit on someone's character.
- 50:40Speaker 1: He should have won majority custody of his child or
- 50:42Speaker 1: at least 50-50. He probably still likes his baby mama.
- 50:47Speaker 1: We don't know if he had been in other relationships
- 50:53Speaker 1: after her. Yeah, he has. But what if the other
- 50:56Speaker 1: female he was with were even worse? What if she
- 51:00Speaker 1: was good? What if she was good? Just that one
- 51:05Speaker 1: detail that his sex drive couldn't match hers. What if
- 51:11Speaker 1: she wants some on the daily and he's not good
- 51:14Speaker 1: with once a week? Yeah, you're wrong. I like all
- 51:19Speaker 1: the allegations you've just said, but you're 100% wrong. She's
- 51:22Speaker 1: a whore who's cheated on multiple people, basically.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Okay?
- 51:27Speaker 1: And he was one of them. He married her. He
- 51:29Speaker 1: probably shouldn't have married her to begin with because she
- 51:31Speaker 1: was kind of a hoe in college, too. Or a
- 51:37Speaker 1: whore in college. I shouldn't say hoe because the definition
- 51:40Speaker 1: of a hoe. I call her a whore because she's
- 51:42Speaker 1: a cheater. And she's cheated on multiple guys. So, yeah.
- 51:49Speaker 2: So, yeah. Okay.
- 51:51Speaker 1: I get your point. You're 100% wrong about him, but
- 51:54Speaker 1: he's just trying to raise his kid now. So, here
- 51:56Speaker 1: you go. But okay. Let's talk about the internet and
- 51:59Speaker 1: social media because I heard this crazy story that never
- 52:02Speaker 1: occurred to me before happening. I was talking to a
- 52:05Speaker 1: friend of mine and he owns a restaurant, a bar
- 52:08Speaker 1: and grill. And he was telling me a story about
- 52:12Speaker 1: how some dude shows up at the restaurant with a
- 52:15Speaker 1: gun because he was looking for some dude. How did
- 52:21Speaker 1: he know the dude he was looking for was sitting
- 52:25Speaker 1: there in this guy's restaurant. Not because the guy posted
- 52:31Speaker 1: on social media. He was in the background of a
- 52:35Speaker 1: photo that somebody else who was at the bar or
- 52:39Speaker 1: restaurant posted on social media. Now, I don't know how
- 52:44Speaker 1: it happened exactly, but some girl posted a picture on
- 52:50Speaker 1: her social media with this guy in the background, and
- 52:53Speaker 1: they weren't together. He was just there. Somehow the dude
- 52:59Speaker 1: with the gun who was looking for this dude saw
- 53:02Speaker 1: it in real time. And oh my gosh, he shows up.
- 53:10Speaker 1: You know, a lot of you guys are over here
- 53:12Speaker 1: filming and doing things like that. and thinking you're great
- 53:15Speaker 1: on social media, but man, it gets you caught up, man.
- 53:17Speaker 1: The internet can get you caught up, man. It's not
- 53:19Speaker 1: like the old days when you had to actually go
- 53:22Speaker 1: stalk somebody if you were looking for them, or now
- 53:25Speaker 1: you just go on social media. Oh, there they are.
- 53:27Speaker 1: Check out a friend of a friend or whatever, and
- 53:30Speaker 1: you can find out in real time. You ever get
- 53:33Speaker 1: caught up? You ever get caught up because of social media,
- 53:35Speaker 1: or you ever get caught up because of these phones?
- 53:38Speaker 6: What happened?
- 53:39Speaker 1: 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7. So has social media ever got you caught
- 53:43Speaker 1: up in anything? I mean, it just... You guys all
- 53:47Speaker 1: want to put your lives out there. You think it's
- 53:49Speaker 1: so cool about everything you do that everybody cares. Well,
- 53:52Speaker 1: sometimes people do care. And it's not in a positive way.
- 53:56Speaker 1: All right, 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7. Hey, Rome, let me tell you
- 54:00Speaker 1: what happened to me. This is pretty funny.
- 54:02Speaker 2: So....
- 54:03Speaker 1: Me and my boys, we go to the Dodger game, right?
- 54:06Speaker 1: And just like everybody else, we take that picture with
- 54:09Speaker 1: the big Dodger, you know, with the Dodger ring that's
- 54:13Speaker 1: sitting outside. And I post it to social media. A
- 54:18Speaker 1: few minutes later, I get a call from my wife
- 54:21Speaker 1: asking me, why in the hell did I switch my
- 54:25Speaker 1: wedding ring to my right hand? And I asked her,
- 54:28Speaker 1: what are you talking about? I have my wedding ring
- 54:31Speaker 1: on right now. And she's like, well, I'm looking at
- 54:34Speaker 1: your social media post, and my wedding ring, she said
- 54:39Speaker 1: my wedding ring was on my right hand, not my
- 54:41Speaker 1: left hand. So she thought I was screwing around in her,
- 54:44Speaker 1: and she was pissed. Rome, I didn't know what to do.
- 54:47Speaker 1: We won't go through the game. She's still mad. When
- 54:50Speaker 1: I get home, I look at the picture, and I
- 54:55Speaker 1: finally figured it out. Apparently, when they took the picture,
- 55:00Speaker 1: it flipped. us from side to side. So I was standing, Oh,
- 55:05Speaker 1: I've seen that happen before, by the way, I wonder
- 55:07Speaker 1: how that happens. So what happened was when you took
- 55:10Speaker 1: the picture, I bet you were standing on one side
- 55:13Speaker 1: of the ring and the, whoever took the picture, it
- 55:17Speaker 1: flipped to you on the other side of the ring.
- 55:19Speaker 1: So it looked like it just moves you over. So
- 55:22Speaker 1: it looked like your ring was on your right hand
- 55:25Speaker 1: when it really was on your left. Yeah, that is, uh,
- 55:30Speaker 1: I don't know how the cameras do that. I've seen
- 55:32Speaker 1: that happen before where it flips you. Not with wedding rings,
- 55:36Speaker 1: but I've seen it where you'll take a picture with
- 55:38Speaker 1: somebody and for some reason you're on the opposite side
- 55:40Speaker 1: of the photo. But yeah, that's funny. Already 14, 5, 4, 7,
- 55:46Speaker 1: and 7. Like I said, man, you ever got caught up?
- 55:49Speaker 1: You know, I remember the old days. I remember the
- 55:52Speaker 1: old days. You guys, you know, when you'd actually have
- 55:54Speaker 1: to stop. I used to hang out with a guy
- 55:56Speaker 1: who we would go drinking, you know, after work. After
- 56:01Speaker 1: I got off work, he owned a business. And his
- 56:03Speaker 1: wife would be driving around trying to figure out which
- 56:05Speaker 1: bar he was at. She actually drove around. Now you
- 56:08Speaker 1: just look on social media because everybody checks in, right?
- 56:11Speaker 1: You ever got caught up? Come on, what's going on?
- 56:13Speaker 4: Yo, yo, happy Friday, sir.
- 56:15Speaker 6: What up, brother?
- 56:17Speaker 4: Oh, man, I was just chiming in. You were talking
- 56:19Speaker 4: about that photo. I know that that typically happens. It
- 56:23Speaker 4: flips when you're doing it.
- 56:24Speaker 1: In, like, selfie mode.
- 56:26Speaker 4: So when you take a selfie, it'll flip the photo.
- 56:31Speaker 4: So that's probably what happened.
- 56:33Speaker 1: Yeah. I've seen that happen before where it flips. And
- 56:35Speaker 1: for some reason you're everything's opposite.
- 56:37Speaker 4: It's crazy. You know, when you flip your phone and
- 56:39Speaker 4: just do selfie mode, that's when it does it.
- 56:42Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 56:43Speaker 2: All right.
- 56:44Speaker 1: Thanks Scott. I appreciate it. You too, man. You, you,
- 56:48Speaker 1: you could take a photo and be on one side
- 56:50Speaker 1: of something and it'll flip it. Maybe that was the
- 56:52Speaker 1: dude who said that his wife, he posted a photo
- 56:55Speaker 1: of him at the Dodger game. His wife thought he
- 56:56Speaker 1: put his ring. I just, uh, His wedding ring on
- 57:00Speaker 1: the other hand, but the reality was the photo they took,
- 57:02Speaker 1: however they took the photo, is what flipped it. It
- 57:05Speaker 1: made it look like that. So that's crazy. Anyway, 842-547-7.
- 57:08Speaker 1: You ever got caught up because of social media or
- 57:13Speaker 1: technology or something? Hey, Rome, I never got caught up
- 57:16Speaker 1: because of social media, but technology got me caught up
- 57:19Speaker 1: one Friday afternoon. I took off early to go play
- 57:23Speaker 1: golf with my buddies, and we were out on the
- 57:26Speaker 1: golf course, and I used the Square to buy some
- 57:31Speaker 1: drinks for everybody. Well, when they sent the receipt, she
- 57:35Speaker 1: sent it to the email. Apparently, since my wife is
- 57:40Speaker 1: on the email for the Square, she got the notification
- 57:44Speaker 1: that I spent money on drinks there. She called me
- 57:47Speaker 1: immediately and said, what am I doing? I had to
- 57:50Speaker 1: tell her I was out playing golf. I took off
- 57:52Speaker 1: work early. So, yeah, it's not just that social media
- 57:57Speaker 1: or own technology be getting you sometimes. Well, maybe you
- 58:01Speaker 1: should pay attention. That thing is funny because sometimes I
- 58:04Speaker 1: know that square, like I don't have a square thing.
- 58:08Speaker 1: So I do get it. You know, already for two, five, four, seven, seven.
- 58:13Speaker 1: It goes to whoever has the square, right? Is that
- 58:15Speaker 1: how that works? All right, 842-547-7. Yo, Rome, let me
- 58:21Speaker 1: tell you what happened to me. My husband and I,
- 58:25Speaker 1: we bought a Tesla, and I didn't know nothing about it,
- 58:29Speaker 1: but my husband had the app. I didn't know that
- 58:33Speaker 1: you can look on the app and see where the
- 58:35Speaker 1: car's at at any given moment. So I was at
- 58:39Speaker 1: work one day. My girlfriends called me to go out
- 58:41Speaker 1: to lunch. My husband was on the app. and saw
- 58:46Speaker 1: me leaving work, called me to see what I was doing.
- 58:49Speaker 1: I wasn't doing nothing wrong, but still you're right. Uh,
- 58:53Speaker 1: that technology will get you. Um, okay. Like I said, man,
- 58:58Speaker 1: technology's crazy. It's just wild. Uh, the things you get
- 59:03Speaker 1: caught up, man, even when you're not doing anything wrong, man,
- 59:06Speaker 1: it just looks like you're doing something wrong. Right? I mean,
- 59:08Speaker 1: my God, how, many of you are on that 360 whatever?
- 59:12Speaker 1: That'll tell somebody exactly where you're at. We got to
- 59:16Speaker 1: go back to the good old days, man. When you
- 59:18Speaker 1: were looking for somebody, you actually had to get out
- 59:20Speaker 1: the house and go look for them.
- 59:23Speaker 3: Hi, I was calling about the– how you got– Couldn't
- 59:27Speaker 3: get caught up on the technology thing?
- 59:29Speaker 1: Yeah, what happened?
- 59:30Speaker 3: Okay, so this number kept calling my husband's phone, and
- 59:36Speaker 3: it didn't say have a contact name or anything. It
- 59:39Speaker 3: was just a phone number. And I was like, hmm,
- 59:44Speaker 3: let me see. And one of my friends had told
- 59:48Speaker 3: me that if you go to Cash App and you
- 59:52Speaker 3: put in the phone number, that person's name and picture
- 59:56Speaker 3: will show up.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Damn!
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: Yeah, so if any girls find the phone number, they
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: don't know.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: What happened?
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: Oh, it was one of his coworkers. And that she
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: was paying him back for the lunch that he had
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: went to go pick up for everybody.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Oh, that's the story he told you, huh?
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the story he told me. She was ugly, though,
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: so I believed him.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Well, who knew? Who knew? All right. Thanks for calling. Bye.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Have a good day.
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: Bye, you too.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Damn, you know that I don't have a cash app,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: so I don't even know how you get caught up
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: like that. It's hilarious. There you go. So you ever
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: get caught up because of technology, man? It's way easy
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: to keep tabs on people. And as stupid as you
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: people are, just putting your business out for everybody to see, man,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: it's even easier. It's not even hard.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7-yo-roam.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: One time I was drinking with the house guy. We
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: was downtown in my car. I had my son's Firefly.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: It's a kid's watch to track him. And my old
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: lady showed up pregnant holding my daughter in one arm
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: and the other by the hand. Good times. Raider Rob 2015. Yeah, dude. Man,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: y'all being tracked without even knowing you're being tracked, right? Oh,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: I bet you miss the good old days. The good
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: old days when you had to stop. You know how
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: you stalk somebody in the good old days, right? You
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: found somebody in the good old days, you made phone calls.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: You started calling friends, and then you started calling other people.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Then you started calling their friends, and their friends would
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: lie to you. But by the end, then you had
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: to go get in your car and drive around and
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: go look for some fool. Yeah, it's different, man. Today's different.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: You need You guys don't even realize how stupid you
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: are when you put all your information online and where
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: you're at and where you're going to be. And then
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: you go ahead and your videos and pictures and all
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: the stupid things that you get caught up doing because
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: of you. Then you blame somebody else for it. And
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: your dumb ass should have just, yeah, not had it.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: All right, 8-4-2-5-4-7-7. But technology, man, it's crazy. Pretty soon,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that all of us right now, even
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: if we don't, because I don't have tracking apps on
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: my phone, I'm pretty sure that somebody else could find me.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: But I'm pretty sure that we're all being tracked. And
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: if somebody was really trying, they could find you. They
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: really knew how to do it. I mean, look at
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: that last girl. They're called a cash app. You can...
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Put someone's phone number in a cash app and see
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: who they are? Who would have thought of that? Here
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: comes the technology, man. Technology will catch you up, man,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: whether it's social media, the internet, I don't know, maybe
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: these tracking devices that you have on your cars or
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: your phones or your iPads or watches, whatever they are, right?
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: They'll get you. R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7. Let me tell you how stupid
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: we are. Now, there's about five couples. We all grew
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: up together. We were a close-knit group of friends. And
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: one night, one of the couples didn't want to go
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: out with us. They said they just wanted to stay
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: home and chill. So we were out drinking, partying, having
