- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30Ooh, so let's talk about having some Grace for yourself.
- 0:34It seems to me that there is a high need for us right now to
- 0:39have a little bit more Grace with ourselves, in the sense
- 0:42that we are running short on patience with ourselves and
- 0:46having patience with yourself is a very difficult thing to do.
- 0:52I Know Myself pretty well and I can say I have very little
- 0:55patience with myself and I get frustrated with certain things
- 0:59like when I show up a Way or act a certain way or I don't feel
- 1:02good about something about myself.
- 1:05I have very low tolerance of it. I do however, have a lot of
- 1:09patience with myself when I'm being in the creative mode.
- 1:12But if I'm not in the creative mode, I don't have patience for
- 1:15myself. Working out, I don't have
- 1:17patience for myself. Soon as I can't do something,
- 1:20I'm pissed off at myself and I recognize that showing up today
- 1:25and in myself and I was just like gosh you know I really
- 1:29think I need to have a little more Grace for this because it's
- 1:31not something that I've been doing for a while and I haven't
- 1:35been pushing myself like I I walk like a lunatic all the
- 1:39time, so I'm very very good at stops.
- 1:41I'm usually over 25 thousand steps a day or right around it,
- 1:45never under 20,000 but I don't have a lot of Grace for myself
- 1:51when it comes to certain things and I went to go move some stuff
- 1:54around and I was like oh man, I picked up something and I move
- 1:57just wrong and I was like yeah my back is like killing me.
- 2:00And quite honestly, it's because I need to work out and I need to
- 2:04do that part of strength training and it's just not
- 2:07something that I have poured into myself with.
- 2:10And I know that's something that's coming.
- 2:13That is my Springtime goal of doing it.
- 2:15And in fact, I just saw a client recently who completed a 75-day
- 2:20hard Challenge and it was just pure inspiration and I
- 2:24absolutely love it and I'm you know, I'm committed to doing
- 2:28this 75 hard but I just I just don't know what 75 days I'm
- 2:32going to pick it. So I'm working on that piece but
- 2:35at the same time I'm thinking to myself, gosh I need to like get
- 2:38my my my patients in line with myself because I know it's going
- 2:43to be hard and I don't have a lot of patience with myself.
- 2:46So when you start this process off, just like I'm telling
- 2:50myself and working myself through it.
- 2:52It's looking at yourself and saying yes and better than I was
- 2:56yesterday, it's incremental wins.
- 2:59Is it going to be No, it's not. Can I be the first one to tell
- 3:03myself? No, it's not.
- 3:04And I'm telling you, it's not going to be perfect things.
- 3:07Just happen in life. In general, you think you've got
- 3:10it all lined up and then things just happen.
- 3:13Well, you can get frustrated or you can just recognize that all
- 3:16these things happen to give us an opportunity to be able to do
- 3:20better and more and shift ourselves, but we can't do that
- 3:24if we're out of Grace and we're just beating ourselves up.
- 3:28Then all we do is jump into being mean to ourselves and And
- 3:30gosh, when does that ever work? You know, having having patients
- 3:36having Grace for yourself and meeting yourself where you are.
- 3:39Is so necessary. It's like, it's like giving
- 3:42yourself a virtual hug. It's like sitting there and
- 3:44saying, you know what, I love myself enough to let myself have
- 3:48some patience with myself and not beat myself up and learn
- 3:52from my experiences, learn from my conversations with myself.
- 3:55And then help myself. Because ultimately, we are
- 3:59responsible for ourselves. So we have to participate in our
- 4:02own rescues and when we don't participate in our own rescues,
- 4:05that's when we end up in so much trouble, we have no choice.
- 4:10We have to do it. So I'm going to remind you guys
- 4:13just like, I have to remind myself.
- 4:15There is nothing more important than having grace and patience
- 4:19for yourself. There is nothing more important
- 4:21than choosing to see yourself in a way that has that level of
- 4:26patience and allowing yourself to cultivate a win.
- 4:30NG attitude from it. So pause catch yourself beating
- 4:35yourself up, say to yourself. No, I'm going to have patience
- 4:39right now, especially if you're trying to do something
- 4:41complicated and you're not good at it right away.
- 4:44I mean, think about how you talk to your kids if you have any
- 4:48about how when they're doing something and it's the first
- 4:50time they're doing it, we always say, well, you're not going to
- 4:52be great at it right away, you got to be patient, you got to
- 4:55work out if you got to be committed to your outcome and we
- 4:57do the right pep talk, but we Do that with ourselves.
- 5:02So do that pep, talk with yourself, give yourself that
- 5:05confidence. That little tiny thing that you
- 5:07need that virtual hug be patient and choose to have some Grace.
- 5:12I hope you guys have a very, very blessed day and I will see
- 5:15you all tomorrow. Bye.
