Speaker 1: You literally have to be able to let things go, you have to be able to trust that person, you know, you have to be able to communicate, you know, and you can't duck and hide, you know.
• 0:14
Speaker 1: I mean it's just there's just so much to it and I'm a big believer in partnerships.
• 0:19
Speaker 2: I mean tolerate the idiosyncrasies Totally.
• 0:22
  Speaker 2: I mean, I, I, fred, and and I love him.
• 0:25
Speaker 2: But we used to sit in meetings when we were young yeah, okay, and we you know, it was just me and fred and maybe some other people but he always put his leg up against the table and then would move the table like this the whole time.
• 0:40
Speaker 2: It would just absolutely.
• 0:42
Speaker 2: I got to where I can't even pay any attention to what he's saying or thinking or anything.
• 0:47
Speaker 2: The moving of the table is driving me insane.
• 0:51
  Speaker 2: Today.
• 0:52
Speaker 2: I can totally tolerate that, can you?
• 0:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's all good now, right, but those idiosyncrasies that we all have, yeah, you have to be able to go past them.
• 1:05
Speaker 1: You know that is so true.
• 1:06
Speaker 1: And I mean, you know, I've raised my hand saying I've probably got a lot that would piss somebody off.
• 1:11
Speaker 1: You know, um, you never pissed me off.
• 1:14
Speaker 1: Well, I know, because you and I hurt we're on the outside.
• 1:17
Speaker 1: I mean, there's not much that I think that you and I could do.
• 1:23
Speaker 1: I'd be like, oh, dude, dude, that was hilarious, that's great.
• 1:26
Speaker 2: Yeah, we're too much alike.
• 1:27
  Speaker 2: That's the problem.
• 1:29
Speaker 1: We are for sure.
• 1:30
Speaker 1: But you know, I mean, like you know, I've always been a big believer in escaping.
• 1:34
Speaker 1: When you need to escape in business, like sometimes you got to take 30 minutes, take a couple hours, but get back in it.
• 1:39
Speaker 1: You know, and you know, and, yes, and you know, my partners regroup, retreated Totally.
• 1:44
Speaker 1: But my partners were different man, they're, they're, they're able to focus and, you know, stay in line and keep that.
• 1:49
  Speaker 1: Just that consistency.
• 1:51
Speaker 1: I'm the most inconsistent person that I think that I've ever met, maybe other than you.
• 1:56
Speaker 1: You're pretty inconsistent too, like you're freaking.
• 2:00
  Speaker 2: I never, I never.
• 2:00
Speaker 2: Consistency wasn't my goal.
• 2:03
Speaker 1: Ok, I mean obviously that's what I'm saying.
• 2:05
Speaker 1: Like you're the most inconsistent person I think I've ever met.
• 2:09
Speaker 2: I'm consistent in some ways, though, like I always pay my bills on time and I always do certain things that you know, I, I, I comply with laws and regulations and forms and bills and deadlines you do.
• 2:22
Speaker 2: There's things I comply with, that taught me that, but consistency in all other ways, no, it's never been a goal.
• 2:29
Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember back in the day, like when we were paying bills, our AP was pretty high.
• 2:34
Speaker 1: Yeah, we got back with some.
• 2:36
Speaker 1: Yeah, but you were relentless on.
• 2:38
Speaker 1: As soon as we got some payment in, it's like, ok, who are you going to pay off today?
• 2:43
  Speaker 1: Get it done.
• 2:44
Speaker 1: That'd be relentless, like you.
• 2:46
Speaker 1: There was nothing else that you were focused on that day other than how many wires were sitting and you'd be in the other room slamming your hands on the table screaming do we sit that out?
• 2:57
Speaker 1: Yet we gotta get that out.
• 2:59
Speaker 1: I mean, it's just like and then, and the next thing you know, they were back at the morning.
• 3:04
Speaker 1: We're back broke again.
• 3:08
Speaker 1: And I'm in my brain going like don't you want to keep this for a few days?
• 3:11
Speaker 1: No, you didn't, man.
• 3:13
Speaker 1: I mean, that was a good lesson.
• 3:15
Speaker 2: Well, no only because you know people.
• 3:17
Speaker 2: If you're doing business with people, they want to do business, they like you and will do favors for you.
• 3:24
Speaker 2: If you're a fast payer, yes.
• 3:26
Speaker 2: If you're a slow payer, then you're going to get deprioritized.
• 3:29
Speaker 2: They'll work, they'll do stuff for you if they got nothing better to do.
• 3:34
Speaker 2: I don't want to be that kind of a client or, you know, buyer of whatever they're selling.
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: I just don't.
• 3:41
Speaker 1: And I think another term in relation to everything we're talking about is that there is 100 such thing as business karma man.
• 3:49
Speaker 2: Yes, there is bro, like I have you know, put out good and good stuff, you put out bad and bad.
• 3:56
Speaker 1: Bad stuff happens that's an episode on its own man and like what are all the details of what is good and bad karma?
• 4:02
Speaker 1: Because I mean, like it will?
• 4:03
Speaker 1: I have seen it happen myself and I've seen you know from a couple of things that I did.
• 4:09
Speaker 1: I actually told you that I texted you.
• 4:11
Speaker 1: Like the way I left is like why I'm not very proud of you.
• 4:15
Speaker 1: I know I never held it, I know you didn't manage, awesome, but I didn't feel good about it, yeah, and I felt like that.
• 4:21
Speaker 1: That that returned to me in a in a way, that that was not the most pleasant thing, you know, and so, but that's a lesson learned and you know, that's not that big of a deal, because I didn't do anything really bad.
• 4:33
Speaker 1: You just yeah, you just move it on, but I was a kid man, yeah.
• 4:37
  Speaker 2: I was just a kid, it's OK.
• 4:39
Speaker 2: I never had any ill feelings towards you, ever at all.
• 4:43
Speaker 2: Well, I appreciate that you were always a good person to work with and you always tried to do what you could do to make things successful and keep everybody happy.
• 4:52
Speaker 1: Well, I appreciate that man but I didn't feel good about it.
• 4:55
Speaker 1: But then I've seen other people in throughout the business that did not do good things, things and it's detrimental, I've said, and I didn't even like it when it was going on the things that weren't doing good and I was like I obviously didn't feel good when it happened to me but I certainly didn't even like to know that down the road it's going to multiply on them.
• 5:18
Speaker 1: I'd like karma thing, like man that is.
• 5:20
Speaker 1: I hate that for them.
• 5:22
Speaker 2: We only have one reputation, so that's obviously super, super critical.
• 5:27
Speaker 2: You've got to protect that with everything you got.
• 5:39
