- 0:17Speaker 1: Monday of May.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Oh it is the first Monday of May. Yeah gala.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Oh yeah, the met Gala.
- 0:25Speaker 1: It's happening as we speak. We are podcasting a little
- 0:28Speaker 1: bit later in the.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Eve today afternoon.
- 0:33Speaker 3: It's basically bedtime for three pm.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Sheesh put on some cozy socks on my barbecue brawl
- 0:41Speaker 1: and within.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Minutes nothing like a Monday Eve with barbecue brawl and
- 0:47Speaker 2: on the TV. Yeah, yeah, what is the Do we
- 0:51Speaker 2: know the theme for tonight?
- 0:52Speaker 1: Yes?
- 0:53Speaker 2: Fashion is art. I love that they're always just like
- 0:56Speaker 2: a like vague. But did you read did you see
- 0:59Speaker 2: the thing? It was showing all the rules of the
- 1:02Speaker 2: met Gala. One of the rules is none of the
- 1:06Speaker 2: food has garlic or onion in it because of bad
- 1:08Speaker 2: breath and Haley canting garlic her onion. And I was like,
- 1:11Speaker 2: this would be.
- 1:13Speaker 1: She needs an invite Met Gala twenty twenty seven. Haley
- 1:17Speaker 1: Kyoko should be like your spokesperson.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Yeah, and they don't, Yes, forget Anna Windoor, they don't
- 1:24Speaker 2: serve parsley or chives so that green stuff doesn't get
- 1:29Speaker 2: in people's teeth.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Oh my god, yeah, a little.
- 1:34Speaker 2: And Anna Wintour has to approve, She has to approve
- 1:38Speaker 2: the person and their outfit. Can you imagine presenting? And
- 1:44Speaker 2: then she's like, nah, it's just like.
- 1:46Speaker 1: It gives Hunger Games in such like a big way,
- 1:49Speaker 1: literally Hunger Games.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Not that I've ever been invited but.
- 1:55Speaker 2: It turned down.
- 1:58Speaker 1: No, But like I just know from like a press standpoint,
- 2:01Speaker 1: how crazy it is. Like you have to go so
- 2:05Speaker 1: many hours before to even get in line, to like
- 2:08Speaker 1: get your badge, to get your spot. You're you're sardined
- 2:11Speaker 1: in there, and then the minute that the carpet's over,
- 2:14Speaker 1: you have to like bounce b o u nce like
- 2:17Speaker 1: out of there. They want you gone, gny.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Well, thank you for the spelling lesson. Wait, you mean
- 2:23Speaker 2: once you get your picture on the carpet yourself?
- 2:25Speaker 1: No, no, no, if you're like press, oh oh the
- 2:28Speaker 1: no pictures on the carpet please, you are not allowed
- 2:31Speaker 1: to take pictures on the carpet.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Well, they're also they're agents, and no one gets to
- 2:35Speaker 2: bring their agent. You're just like.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Raw dogging the met galic carpet, could you imagine.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't get a plus one unless you're plus
- 2:42Speaker 2: unless your partner is.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Also invited approved. Yeah yeah, wow, I never thought about that,
- 2:50Speaker 1: But I'm just like raw dogging the met galic carpet
- 2:54Speaker 1: like that.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I would need to be on drugs.
- 2:57Speaker 3: I would definitely need some alcohol.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I would need something in my system because having an
- 3:02Speaker 2: absolute panic attack in that situation. Yeah, but I do
- 3:07Speaker 2: like watching it just for the Wow, what's happening of
- 3:11Speaker 2: it all?
- 3:12Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 3:13Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Well, we're in the middle of it now, so maybe
- 3:15Speaker 1: I'm sam. You can keep an eye out if there's
- 3:17Speaker 1: any like big moments, and you can at the end
- 3:21Speaker 1: of the podcast when we're wrapping up, we can kind
- 3:22Speaker 1: of go through some of the looks because like people
- 3:24Speaker 1: aren't walking as we speak. Yeah.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, the carpet has begun.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:27Speaker 3: And if this podcast is anything, it's breaking news.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yeah the way we just laugh. Everyone laughs when we
- 3:36Speaker 2: say that. Oh God.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Anyways, Becca's back from a big weekend and.
- 3:42Speaker 2: On we went to Miami for F one. Haley is
- 3:48Speaker 2: a huge F one fan, Like, she loves F one
- 3:53Speaker 2: more than I can think of anything that I love.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I did have this moment while we were there, which
- 3:58Speaker 2: I will get into the trail, but I was watching her,
- 4:02Speaker 2: and you know, getting to watch the person you love
- 4:04Speaker 2: do something that they're really excited about it is so
- 4:06Speaker 2: fun and special.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:08Speaker 2: But I also was thinking, is there anything that I
- 4:11Speaker 2: care about this much? Like I really couldn't think, like
- 4:15Speaker 2: in terms of a hobby or something.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I find, Like, is there anything that you could go
- 4:18Speaker 1: to where you would have glee in your eyes?
- 4:20Speaker 2: Well, also fighting through the heat and the discomfort of
- 4:25Speaker 2: being hot and sweaty and just a bunch of people
- 4:29Speaker 2: being around, you know, being in an environment where you're
- 4:31Speaker 2: physically uncomfortable.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Yeah, but just being.
- 4:35Speaker 2: So thrilled to be there that you're not even thinking
- 4:37Speaker 2: about your discomfort. I couldn't think of anything.
- 4:40Speaker 3: That's kind of sad.
- 4:43Speaker 2: We need to know, Well, I love, you know what
- 4:45Speaker 2: I do. I need a good hobby.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Like my hobby's become the TV shows that I watch.
- 4:51Speaker 1: But that's like kind of sad, do you know what
- 4:53Speaker 1: I mean? Like they become my entire personality?
- 4:55Speaker 2: Yeah? No, Okay, I was gonna say, Haley getting to
- 4:58Speaker 2: go to F one would be like you getting to
- 4:59Speaker 2: go to the uh F love Island more, I mean
- 5:06Speaker 2: the villa.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I hate bad vibes.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Anyways, the villa where they filmed the UK one. Yes, yeah,
- 5:16Speaker 2: that's that's just so our listeners have an idea. She
- 5:20Speaker 2: started watching it during the when COVID. During COVID, the
- 5:24Speaker 2: documentary Drive to Survive came out. Is that what's called?
- 5:28Speaker 1: You're asking me, like, I have any TV?
- 5:33Speaker 2: Last thing I know was one.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I don't know anything.
- 5:36Speaker 3: About F one nothing, And I honestly I think I
- 5:39Speaker 3: could care.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Least you would probably love the TV show one. The
- 5:42Speaker 2: TV show, it's a docuseries. They're following the racers. It's
- 5:46Speaker 2: really well done. But anyways, that's when she got into it.
- 5:49Speaker 2: She loved the work ethic that they have, Like she
- 5:52Speaker 2: was just very inspired by what they do, even though
- 5:55Speaker 2: she's not like a professional athlete, and so she follows
- 5:58Speaker 2: it every single week. Everything she tells me who won,
- 6:01Speaker 2: and I'm just like, WHOA, that's amazing. So she's been
- 6:05Speaker 2: wanting to go for years and we finally got to go.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Our friend Christian works for Red Bull and gave us
- 6:11Speaker 2: like the coolest experience ever and just we were basically.
- 6:16Speaker 4: VIP Red Bull Ambassadors, but we got to go and
- 6:21Speaker 4: she got to drive.
- 6:22Speaker 2: We both got to drive a car, but I don't
- 6:23Speaker 2: think I got past like I was so nervous because
- 6:26Speaker 2: I don't think I got past like sixty miles an hour.
- 6:29Speaker 2: And I felt like I was going fast because I
- 6:30Speaker 2: was shifting the gears, but I also don't know if
- 6:32Speaker 2: I was doing it right. And then Haley showed me
- 6:35Speaker 2: a video. She goes, here's your car going by, and
- 6:37Speaker 2: I swear it looked like I was going thirty miles
- 6:39Speaker 2: an hour. I was so slow. So she really, she
- 6:45Speaker 2: said she felt alive. She was like, I've never felt
- 6:47Speaker 2: that feeling. So I was like, I didn't have that.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I don't think we had the same experience. But then
- 6:52Speaker 2: I got to ride as a passenger with a professional
- 6:55Speaker 2: racer and he was so fast going around the turns.
- 7:00Speaker 2: You're basically connected to the seat because it's so fast
- 7:04Speaker 2: and you're moving so much.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I want nothing to do with that.
- 7:07Speaker 2: That was awesome.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I want nothing to do with that. I am so
- 7:10Speaker 1: risk averse that.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Like Tanya, it was not a tender Tanya activity.
- 7:16Speaker 3: I'd be scared sitting in the like the benches.
- 7:19Speaker 1: That's some like piece of the car is gonna come
- 7:21Speaker 1: flying at me like, yeah.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I think you're safe from that one. But yeah, I
- 7:27Speaker 2: guess not. But Patrick Dempsey was there and I was.
- 7:30Speaker 2: So we went into the paddock.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Did you tell him about our podcast?
- 7:33Speaker 2: I didn't meet him.
- 7:34Speaker 1: You heard about that.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I had facetimed you. So they're the area where all
- 7:40Speaker 2: the garage aes are is called the Paddock, and we
- 7:43Speaker 2: went in there and that's where I saw the videos
- 7:45Speaker 2: of him walking around. So I was ice peeled but
- 7:48Speaker 2: didn't spot him.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Oh you didn't actually saw he was there, but you
- 7:51Speaker 1: didn't actually physically see him.
- 7:52Speaker 2: I was just scrolling and there was like multiple videos.
- 7:55Speaker 2: They my algorithm knows me, they know what I want
- 7:58Speaker 2: to see, and it was him walking through the area.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I'm surprised my algorithm. Actually, my algorithm did not feed
- 8:03Speaker 1: me any F one content aside from you and Haley,
- 8:06Speaker 1: not one f one thing.
- 8:08Speaker 2: That's so, isn't that weird how they control that because
- 8:11Speaker 2: in my mind I thought everyone cares about F one.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Right now, not even like a smidge Well yeah, but yeah.
- 8:20Speaker 2: So then the next day we went to one of
- 8:24Speaker 2: the races before the big race, and then we spent
- 8:28Speaker 2: the day at the beach in the hotel. But these
- 8:30Speaker 2: Miami's crazy because and I don't know if it's just
- 8:34Speaker 2: because of this weekend and there's so many parties and
- 8:36Speaker 2: activations and whatnot, but like all throughout the day at
- 8:41Speaker 2: our hotel, it's just DJ bumping'. Like you go up
- 8:44Speaker 2: to the room to kind of decompress and chill, but
- 8:47Speaker 2: it's like a rave so you're not really able to
- 8:50Speaker 2: shut it off. Yeah, and we were going to our
- 8:54Speaker 2: dinner reservations were at nine and nine thirty or second night.
- 8:59Speaker 2: We finished dinner and we look at it and we go, okay,
- 9:02Speaker 2: it's one am. Oh, it's like, where are we going next?
- 9:06Speaker 1: Just home?
- 9:08Speaker 2: We know, we went on again to another place. Crazy,
- 9:11Speaker 2: I know. So I really our lifestyle is so love
- 9:15Speaker 2: being at home night in going to bed at a
- 9:19Speaker 2: decent hour. We don't really drink, you know, like well
- 9:22Speaker 2: garden here and there, but like we really are pretty homie.
- 9:27Speaker 1: We had plans on Saturday night with another couple. We
- 9:29Speaker 1: were had like a double date planned. We hadn't had
- 9:32Speaker 1: a time. It was just like May second, we're gonna
- 9:34Speaker 1: play canasta together, Like oh yeah, yeah plan. So the
- 9:38Speaker 1: morning up we were like, oh hey, hey, which time
- 9:40Speaker 1: are we meeting, you know, dinner and canasa. They were like, oh,
- 9:43Speaker 1: we're dropping our son off somewhere, So seven thirty.
- 9:46Speaker 2: We were like.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Seven thirty to have dinner and then play canasa. Like
- 9:52Speaker 1: that is crazy. Like I was like, wow, like.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Lots of regular dinner time for y'all.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Five five thirty.
- 10:03Speaker 2: That's very early.
- 10:05Speaker 1: It's glorious. It's so good.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Thirty is it.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I was showering and the light. I'd like to be
- 10:14Speaker 1: showering preparing for bed by seven thirty.
- 10:16Speaker 2: No, I was gonna say, it's a it's a tiny
- 10:18Speaker 2: bit like I feel like six thirty seven is my
- 10:20Speaker 2: ideal time.
- 10:21Speaker 1: But you know it's crazier as we get there and
- 10:24Speaker 1: like we have dinner and then we set up our
- 10:27Speaker 1: canasta boards and like da da da. I was like
- 10:30Speaker 1: fired up. I was like I want to play more rounds.
- 10:32Speaker 1: It was eleven thirty. We do another.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Wow.
- 10:36Speaker 3: They had to like get me off.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I get her out of here. She's too crazy.
- 10:41Speaker 3: It just goes to show you I do come alive
- 10:43Speaker 3: at night.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Sometimes I would have to.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Take a board in front of me and who yeah,
- 10:48Speaker 1: you know what lights you up?
- 10:50Speaker 2: You know, you got to know what lights you up.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:52Speaker 2: I was shocked because after the first night, I thought,
- 10:57Speaker 2: how am I going to maintain this energy to do this,
- 11:02Speaker 2: to like get ready and get cute and then try
- 11:05Speaker 2: to take photo you know, it's just not sweat. Yeah,
- 11:08Speaker 2: and then we're all at dinner. We're screaming at each
- 11:12Speaker 2: other because the music's so loud. Every dinner we went
- 11:16Speaker 2: to it was like turning into a club once we
- 11:18Speaker 2: got there.
- 11:19Speaker 1: So when does this happen? Like, what age does this happen?
- 11:23Speaker 1: What turn like I'm like hardcore, Grandma core.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but we have to maybe get out of that
- 11:28Speaker 2: because we're gonna eventually beat Grandma. So why are we
- 11:31Speaker 2: spending our mid thirties acting like we can't?
- 11:33Speaker 1: Like yeah, like it's mint tea next to me.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Well, you're in tender Tanya.
- 11:40Speaker 1: But I was thinking about I want to get my
- 11:43Speaker 1: canasta board like personalized with like my name on it
- 11:46Speaker 1: or something.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Like, Yeah, we gotta get you out, maybe go out
- 11:52Speaker 2: for once a month or something just so yes. Well,
- 11:57Speaker 2: so I guess my thing is you almost have to
- 12:01Speaker 2: maintain partying, like you have to. I was having to
- 12:06Speaker 2: have a drink to keep my my spirit up, you know,
- 12:10Speaker 2: But then you the next day, don't feel great, and
- 12:12Speaker 2: then you do it again.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Yes, it's a rough cycle that we put ourselves through.
- 12:17Speaker 2: But I thought to myself, Beka, you're mid mid to
- 12:21Speaker 2: late thirties. I was gonna get myself mid mid to
- 12:23Speaker 2: late thirties, thirties, but you don't have kids. You live
- 12:27Speaker 2: a very like do whatever you want, like suck it up. Yea,
- 12:31Speaker 2: I'm out there and experienced life life. But talking about
- 12:35Speaker 2: how old you feel and just go rage for a weekend,
- 12:40Speaker 2: you know.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Mine's not really like an old thing. It's not so
- 12:42Speaker 1: much an age thing. It's just like my preference right now.
- 12:46Speaker 1: I mean like, it's not my age, it's just like
- 12:49Speaker 1: my preference.
- 12:49Speaker 2: But I do think age does. But I don't think
- 12:51Speaker 2: I have the same energy. I don't know about that. Well,
- 12:54Speaker 2: you were drinking tea by your canastomoorg so, but you
- 12:59Speaker 2: I don't know if it's the physical part of feeling like,
- 13:02Speaker 2: oh my gosh, I did this, I'm not as spry
- 13:05Speaker 2: as I once was, or if it's just this is
- 13:07Speaker 2: not our usual schedule, right so, and we're three hours
- 13:13Speaker 2: ahead of our time zone, so which does matter? It
- 13:17Speaker 2: does it doesn't? It probably helped, Yeah, So Anyways, Hayley
- 13:20Speaker 2: literally had the best time. She loved every second of it.
- 13:24Speaker 2: And we got back this morning and then you know what,
- 13:28Speaker 2: wait and all the flights got canceled because of rain,
- 13:31Speaker 2: and we had booked the first flight out and I
- 13:34Speaker 2: was like, gosh, do we make a mistake doing that
- 13:37Speaker 2: because it's gonna be hard to get up? Is a
- 13:39Speaker 2: great decision?
- 13:40Speaker 1: Which time? Because everything else got canceled?
- 13:42Speaker 2: Yeah, we were the last one out.
- 13:43Speaker 1: You got canceled. We wouldn't have been able to do
- 13:45Speaker 1: the podcast, so.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Oh my god, you would have been alone.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Ranger missing a Monday.
- 13:49Speaker 2: I know, I don't like it.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Rummers don't like it either.
- 13:52Speaker 2: So aside from your late dinner last night, what else
- 13:56Speaker 2: did you do over the weekend?
- 13:57Speaker 1: Well, my weekend felt long because so my pan parents
- 14:00Speaker 1: came into town for my award. They came in for
- 14:02Speaker 1: the ga for the gala.
- 14:03Speaker 3: I talk about the gala, yes, they So.
- 14:06Speaker 1: That was on Wednesday night and my parents came up
- 14:09Speaker 1: and they stayed for two nights. So I was booked
- 14:12Speaker 1: and busy when the parental when the parental units come up,
- 14:15Speaker 1: your girl is booked and busy.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Yeah, but it was nice.
- 14:18Speaker 1: We did like an early Mother's Day for my mom.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Robbie cooked, Like this barbecue brawl has really infiltrated our
- 14:26Speaker 1: really infiltrated our household in the most beautiful way because
- 14:29Speaker 1: he's making like glaze for our shrimps, he's making homemade
- 14:32Speaker 1: barbecue sauce, He's making like homemade everything.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Wow.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Yeah. It took him like three and a half hours
- 14:39Speaker 1: to make our dinner for my parents on Friday night.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Wow.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Yeah, And it was like sweet because we.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Were all like seeing in the kitchen and like chatting.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Yeah, he's just getting to work.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Yeah, he's just like with this apron on. I'm like
- 14:51Speaker 3: so hot.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Yeah. So you got your award. I got my award
- 14:58Speaker 2: on Wednesday. Yeah, Content Creator.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Of the Year, and you presented me with it.
- 15:03Speaker 2: I did listen. I am very I get very nervous
- 15:09Speaker 2: speaking in front of people, especially enough to read something right,
- 15:13Speaker 2: like if I'm just going off the cuff and I
- 15:15Speaker 2: can kind of determine how long I'm gonna speak or
- 15:18Speaker 2: what I'm gonna say and not having to keep track
- 15:21Speaker 2: of something. That's what it is. It's like keeping track
- 15:24Speaker 2: of the teleprompter.
- 15:25Speaker 1: You'd rather wing it than have a speech.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Yeah, but we could make it last ten seconds.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Winging it makes me way nervous.
- 15:34Speaker 2: So Tonia had something my speech, and I just kept
- 15:38Speaker 2: I had it on a little like fake teleprompter on
- 15:41Speaker 2: my phone, so I was trying to practice reading it
- 15:45Speaker 2: to see what pace felt right. And then she asked
- 15:48Speaker 2: if I wanted to get to the event early so
- 15:50Speaker 2: I could practice, and you know me, I'm not really
- 15:53Speaker 2: for anything, but I was like, I need to do this.
- 15:56Speaker 2: I felt a big responsibility.
- 15:57Speaker 1: You know what's so funny. We parked our car and
- 15:59Speaker 1: I saw Beca pull in like right like right after us,
- 16:03Speaker 1: and Robbie's like, wow, she's already here. And I was like,
- 16:05Speaker 1: let me tell you one thing about Becca. When it's important,
- 16:09Speaker 1: she shows up on time.
- 16:10Speaker 2: And don't forget it.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Yeah, when it's important, she shows up buch of time.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Don't if I haven't shown up for something on time.
- 16:16Speaker 2: If you're listening to this, it doesn't mean it wasn't important.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Maybe it doesn't because you've never failed me when it's important.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Dang, Yeah I should look into that.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Yeah, So we got to look at the teleprompter and
- 16:30Speaker 2: this was my first time seeing these types of teleprompters.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Yeah, so cool.
- 16:34Speaker 2: But Basically, it's like a fiberglass or something on either side,
- 16:39Speaker 2: and then it's reflected from a screen on the bottom.
- 16:41Speaker 2: So from the audience view, it looks like you're just
- 16:46Speaker 2: looking to your right and left, but you're actually reading
- 16:49Speaker 2: the teleprompter. So she was telling the lady was telling
- 16:52Speaker 2: me how to like choreograph it, like make sure you
- 16:55Speaker 2: turn and look at both sides. So I had I
- 16:59Speaker 2: before I went up there, I go, I really have
- 17:01Speaker 2: to pee and I don't want to.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 17:05Speaker 2: I was like, I have to pee. So Tonya goes, go,
- 17:08Speaker 2: you have time. So I go. And then as I'm
- 17:10Speaker 2: walking out the door, the girl that was like the
- 17:12Speaker 2: program director comes and meets me, and she goes, oh,
- 17:15Speaker 2: I'm just gonna grab you because you need to be backstage.
- 17:18Speaker 2: You're gonna go up next. But I thought she had
- 17:21Speaker 2: told Tanya and Robbie, so then their pan I've come
- 17:24Speaker 2: to realize they were panicking.
- 17:25Speaker 1: The panicked I'm sitting Robbie. I'm like, go run into
- 17:27Speaker 1: the girl's bathroom. Fine, beck, I don't know what she's doing.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I don't care what she's doing. You grab her and
- 17:32Speaker 1: you bring her.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Do you think I was doing? Number two.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Yeah, we like fixing your lipstick or something. I didn't
- 17:37Speaker 1: know what was going on, but I was like, she's
- 17:39Speaker 1: been in there for a minute and like time's up.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yeah. No, I was just backsticking.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I was like, you can't go on the women's I
- 17:45Speaker 1: was like, yes you can. I can't leave on my
- 17:48Speaker 1: heels are too high and I cannot get there fast
- 17:51Speaker 1: enough to stay seated.
- 17:55Speaker 2: So I go up and I read and I was
- 17:58Speaker 2: very nervous. I felt like my voice was shaky, but
- 18:00Speaker 2: I got through it and then presented Tanya with her award.
- 18:04Speaker 2: She came up, you looks so pretty, by the way,
- 18:07Speaker 2: like I love, weirdly love brown on you, which I
- 18:10Speaker 2: know is like one of those things that you go,
- 18:12Speaker 2: I love the color brown on you, but it looks
- 18:14Speaker 2: so good on you.
- 18:15Speaker 3: I loved brown on me too.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Thank you for saying that. I was dying At somebody's
- 18:18Speaker 1: comment in the Facebook group. They were like, Tanya's ninety
- 18:21Speaker 1: percent white wardrobe has gotta go. She looks good in color,
- 18:24Speaker 1: and I.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Was like, beautiful and white, but there was something about
- 18:29Speaker 2: the brown that like pop made you pop?
- 18:31Speaker 1: Thank you. I felt gorgeous, Bonita, Bonita.
- 18:35Speaker 2: You looked how was it for you getting that award?
- 18:40Speaker 1: Well, I had a big revelation, revelation, religious revelation that night,
- 18:45Speaker 1: and we'll get into when we come back in back.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Oh okay, So I got this award. It was for
- 19:09Speaker 1: the Organization for Social Media Safety. So they're a nonprofit
- 19:12Speaker 1: and they're kind of doing their part to make social
- 19:15Speaker 1: media a safer place for specifically.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Kids, right yeah, for you, I mean adolescens and just.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Everybody in general. So it's more of like a the
- 19:28Speaker 1: tone of the GALLAS is a little bit more serious.
- 19:30Speaker 1: You know, there's a lot. There's just like a lot there.
- 19:33Speaker 1: But they gave me the Content Creator of the Year
- 19:35Speaker 1: award because they wanted to highlight that I use social
- 19:40Speaker 1: media as like a role model in a positive way.
- 19:42Speaker 1: You know, I show I don't use filters and I
- 19:47Speaker 1: try to just be as authentic as I as I
- 19:49Speaker 1: possibly can. I use it for positivity. And that really
- 19:52Speaker 1: hit me, I think that night, because this year has
- 19:55Speaker 1: been pretty shit for me just in general. Like I
- 19:57Speaker 1: feel like the way it started off, like it just
- 19:59Speaker 1: I was just like down, Like I've just been so down.
- 20:02Speaker 1: And I also haven't really done much with work this year,
- 20:05Speaker 1: Like I haven't really been outside my comfort zone. I've
- 20:07Speaker 1: been like working and fine, but I'm just kind of
- 20:09Speaker 1: like coming to work doing what I need to do,
- 20:12Speaker 1: like showing up, and like I haven't done any like
- 20:15Speaker 1: extracurricular things. So this was the first one that I've done,
- 20:19Speaker 1: Like I haven't given a speech in a lot, you know,
- 20:21Speaker 1: I haven't done anything like this in.
- 20:22Speaker 3: A really long time.
- 20:24Speaker 1: And afterwards, I kind of was just like, my Instagram
- 20:28Speaker 1: is the only thing in my life that's like mine
- 20:31Speaker 1: that I put out into the world, you know what
- 20:32Speaker 1: I mean, Like this podcast is ours, the morning show
- 20:35Speaker 1: is not mine, but my social media is mine. Like
- 20:40Speaker 1: that's my voice. That's like what I'm putting into the world.
- 20:43Speaker 1: And to like have them shine light on that made
- 20:46Speaker 1: me feel like, yeah, like I've tanya rad like I
- 20:49Speaker 1: am doing something and like I do have I do
- 20:52Speaker 1: have goals, and I do have aspirations, and I feel
- 20:54Speaker 1: like they've kind of just gotten lost along the way
- 20:56Speaker 1: a little bit because of the year that I've been having.
- 20:58Speaker 1: And so it's kind of just like light bulb went
- 21:00Speaker 1: off on me and I was like, I'm kind of
- 21:03Speaker 1: you can rude, yeah.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Yeah right, yeah, new girl?
- 21:09Speaker 1: Who it is?
- 21:10Speaker 2: I mean it's true though, I think like I think
- 21:13Speaker 2: that when with social media, we talk about this a lot,
- 21:17Speaker 2: but you know, when especially kids and people who are
- 21:21Speaker 2: learning who they are and trying to figure out what's
- 21:25Speaker 2: cool or what's you know, what's everyone else doing. I
- 21:28Speaker 2: think it's so important to have people like you who
- 21:33Speaker 2: promote not only positivity, but self love and self worth
- 21:37Speaker 2: and the things that you promote, and you do it.
- 21:42Speaker 2: You're so consistent. It's who you are, you know.
- 21:44Speaker 1: It's just like I think being recognized for that, do
- 21:47Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Like and when it's just
- 21:48Speaker 1: something that, yeah.
- 21:50Speaker 2: You got you got a handheld award.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Yeah not bad, bad boy, I went right next to
- 21:54Speaker 1: my h choice word you bet yah? Yeah, yeah I
- 22:00Speaker 1: think that, And like it's so funny. You know, my
- 22:02Speaker 1: my new best friends, my thirteen year olds that I
- 22:04Speaker 1: met a couple of weeks ago, Like I was thinking
- 22:06Speaker 1: about them and like watching my Instagram and I'm like, oh,
- 22:09Speaker 1: I want to be like a role model for them,
- 22:11Speaker 1: do you know what I mean?
- 22:11Speaker 3: Like a big sister. That's like showing them it's.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Okay, you don't have to have these crazy filters on
- 22:16Speaker 1: your face, like you're beautiful, you.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Know, yeah. So anyways, very well deserved, thank you, very
- 22:23Speaker 2: honored to present it to you.
- 22:25Speaker 1: It brought back a little spark in my life and
- 22:29Speaker 1: it was sweet. Like people were sending me dms about
- 22:32Speaker 1: having like my parents were there and my in laws
- 22:34Speaker 1: and like how nice it is that I have in
- 22:36Speaker 1: laws that are so supportive, and I was like, yeah,
- 22:38Speaker 1: that is really nice. Yeah that everybody's just like kumbay a.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Yeah it was. It was a really lovely night, honestly. Yeah.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I mean, so that was the Wednesday, Thursday you left
- 22:50Speaker 1: for f one. You were gone all weekend, which was
- 22:52Speaker 1: like I just couldn't even keep up with you. I
- 22:54Speaker 1: was like, if I'm tired just watching your stories. My
- 22:58Speaker 1: big Canasta night that was yeah.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 23:01Speaker 1: But by the way, when you go to like buy
- 23:02Speaker 1: canasta supplies, like on Amazon, I have to show you
- 23:05Speaker 1: the image that comes up because it's just like it supplies.
- 23:09Speaker 1: It's just like so me no, because you need like
- 23:12Speaker 1: the thing to put your cards in and uh and
- 23:16Speaker 1: like you need special cards and stuff.
- 23:18Speaker 3: This is the image that most.
- 23:22Speaker 2: It's just like three old ladies.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Three old ladies, and one of them has cat ears,
- 23:27Speaker 1: like cat ears on her head.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Ye Sprits.
- 23:31Speaker 2: That's more wild than you. That actually is. No.
- 23:36Speaker 1: No, I would like, here's the thing. I love drinking,
- 23:38Speaker 1: So I'm going to get back on the sauce once.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I'm like allowed once I'm able.
- 23:47Speaker 3: No, because after you have a baby, you have to breastfeeds.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Yeah, so like.
- 23:50Speaker 1: It's gonna be a minute yea, but don't you.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Worry when she's back. She's back.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that aproall Sprits is going right in my hand.
- 23:58Speaker 2: Okay, do we even need to talk about the facetimed
- 24:03Speaker 2: debacle because I felt like, I honestly, I say, more
- 24:09Speaker 2: people aligned with you than I thought.
- 24:11Speaker 1: They would because people like to be nice friends. I
- 24:16Speaker 1: am a nice friend.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Yeah, but Robbie did try to FaceTime me in the
- 24:21Speaker 2: middle of F one. I'm like, Okay, this is not
- 24:23Speaker 2: when it's gonna happen. Robbie Like, if I'm not answering
- 24:27Speaker 2: on my couch, it's not gonna be like mid broom
- 24:30Speaker 2: room race, party, party weekend.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:33Speaker 3: We were like chit chatting and He's like, shy face Timmer.
- 24:36Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, dude, I'm just like bullying.
- 24:39Speaker 1: We really are.
- 24:42Speaker 2: I mistakenly wore heels. I wore heels the whole trip,
- 24:47Speaker 2: Like to every event I had heels, so I kept
- 24:49Speaker 2: having to switch crazy Yeah, I kept having to switch
- 24:52Speaker 2: them up and put band aids where the blisters were
- 24:55Speaker 2: and then put on shoes that weren't landing where the
- 24:59Speaker 2: new a blisters were. I was a warrior. I would say,
- 25:03Speaker 2: like battle but battle through it. But like why yeah,
- 25:09Speaker 2: just like to feel cute, look cute, like my picks.
- 25:13Speaker 2: I really, I really put in a lot of work
- 25:17Speaker 2: of how I look when I go to things, Like
- 25:19Speaker 2: I do care I can.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Endure for that because I really don't.
- 25:22Speaker 2: I just really I do. It's something I care about.
- 25:25Speaker 2: But I also think I always watched my mom care
- 25:27Speaker 2: about like I never saw her leave the house without
- 25:29Speaker 2: makeup on, like she was always very put together, and
- 25:32Speaker 2: so I just adopted that. But it's not in a
- 25:36Speaker 2: way of how others perceive me as much as it's
- 25:40Speaker 2: how I feel about myself. You know what I'm saying.
- 25:42Speaker 2: I'm not doing it for someone else to be like,
- 25:46Speaker 2: oh my gosh, she I'm it's.
- 25:48Speaker 3: So like what I want to feel nice.
- 25:51Speaker 2: I want to feel like I like how I feel.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Like, do you know what makes you feel so nice?
- 25:56Speaker 1: But being comfortable.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Yeah, but my comfort, but is it like really worth it?
- 26:04Speaker 2: Like I'm sweating so like I.
- 26:06Speaker 1: But like, but don't you feel like now like there's
- 26:07Speaker 1: like a cool like street look that people are like
- 26:10Speaker 1: wearing where it's like you were like like streets ear.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, And there probably was something I could
- 26:15Speaker 2: have done with that, but that's not what I styled
- 26:17Speaker 2: for myself, So I just stick to what I styled,
- 26:20Speaker 2: what we styled. Yeah, so you know you wouldn't sell
- 26:24Speaker 2: me lose some But what I did realize, I'm like, dang,
- 26:27Speaker 2: if I have a there's a will, there's a way
- 26:29Speaker 2: because I just powered through. I put my heels on bag.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Oh that is crazy because I literally have a blister
- 26:37Speaker 1: that I got on April tenth, And like concerning on
- 26:41Speaker 1: it's like on that toe, you know that like the
- 26:43Speaker 1: bony part of your toe where like it's like the
- 26:45Speaker 1: part that bends like imagine it's like this part of
- 26:47Speaker 1: my toe, right. Yeah, So anytime I put it in
- 26:50Speaker 1: a heel or something not of comfort like a tennis shoe,
- 26:54Speaker 1: it like re like hurts it.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Can you put a something to protect it?
- 26:58Speaker 1: The bandit would probably be smart, but like it's healed
- 27:01Speaker 1: now it's fine, but.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Like we're almost approaching a month, Yeah, it's tough, and
- 27:07Speaker 2: so I'm like, heels no more.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Then I don't shamm my foot into the heels.
- 27:11Speaker 1: On Wednesday for the gala, I was like.
- 27:13Speaker 2: One of my favorite I can't remember what it was for,
- 27:16Speaker 2: but it was a photo of me and you, I
- 27:19Speaker 2: think an iHeart thing, and your toe was like like
- 27:21Speaker 2: I nearly popped out. Your pinky toe was like begging
- 27:26Speaker 2: for mercy.
- 27:27Speaker 1: I've also had this thing where like I like don't
- 27:30Speaker 1: want people to see my feet anymore, Like I.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Just too vulnerable. I don't know what it.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Is, but I'm like, if I'm wearing a shoe like
- 27:41Speaker 1: a like a sandal with like my like my dogs
- 27:44Speaker 1: out like to work, I just could never anymore, Like
- 27:47Speaker 1: I cannot. I wore like a platform flip flop that
- 27:50Speaker 1: I have that's like so cute and like so fashioned forward,
- 27:53Speaker 1: and I was like, wait, what my toes are out
- 27:56Speaker 1: at work?
- 27:56Speaker 2: Wait? I feel like I know, like foot pettish thing. Yeah,
- 28:00Speaker 2: the opposite of a fetish.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Right, like a phobia. Yeah, but it's my own feet,
- 28:05Speaker 1: like I don't care of mine too, though your feet
- 28:07Speaker 1: were in my face. I don't want anyone's feet in
- 28:09Speaker 1: my face. But like, do you have sandals on right now?
- 28:13Speaker 2: Sneakers?
- 28:14Speaker 1: Niggers, do you have sandals on?
- 28:15Speaker 3: Sam, you have sneakers.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Okay, it's a safe space. But I'm saying it's not
- 28:22Speaker 1: about other people. It's more like my own feet, my own.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Just being perceived, your feet being perceived.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm just like being exposed to the world. Like
- 28:30Speaker 3: I'm just like not.
- 28:31Speaker 1: I don't like it anymore. And so I have to
- 28:34Speaker 1: rethink my whole wardrobe anytime I'm getting ready to come
- 28:36Speaker 1: to work because I'm like, I can't wear those flops.
- 28:39Speaker 2: What do you think people are thinking? It's like Tanyi's
- 28:42Speaker 2: got her dogs.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Out or she's not like put together. Her life's ad a
- 28:47Speaker 1: little bit of a mess because she's not as as
- 28:51Speaker 1: I thought she was.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Okay, wait, so when you're in a full sweatsuit for
- 28:57Speaker 2: like weeks at a time, but I.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Have some nice sneakers on, put together a flas effort. Yeah,
- 29:04Speaker 1: but if I was wearing like this outfit today with like.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Flip flops, well yeah, that would have made sense. But
- 29:11Speaker 2: if you had a key little light tank on and jeans.
- 29:15Speaker 3: And like a flop.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know, it's very weird.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Yeah that's new.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Yeah it's new.
- 29:21Speaker 1: It's new and welcome to my life. But you just needed.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Something to worry about. You were like, what else can
- 29:27Speaker 2: I try?
- 29:28Speaker 1: Living in this head for a moment, because it's real
- 29:31Speaker 1: rough in here. Speaking of Robbie, Robie.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Let's take it right, we're back. That's pretty good. What
- 29:56Speaker 2: were you saying, Robbie?
- 29:57Speaker 1: What his like college reunion is coming up in a
- 30:00Speaker 1: couple of weeks, that's exciting and that. My first reaction
- 30:03Speaker 1: was like, I can't go to that. I can't be
- 30:06Speaker 1: like bars with like beer and like.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean?
- 30:08Speaker 3: Like right now, it's just like I don't know.
- 30:11Speaker 1: I'm like not gonna be fun. But I was like,
- 30:13Speaker 1: you know what, Like I would love I want to
- 30:16Speaker 1: see where he was, Like I want to see where
- 30:17Speaker 1: he went to school. I want to like see the
- 30:19Speaker 1: like see the ropes and stuff. So I was like, yes,
- 30:23Speaker 1: I would love to go with you. Where is it
- 30:25Speaker 1: he went to Penn.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's on the east coast.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Yeah, And uh.
- 30:31Speaker 1: So I was proud of myself because I like really
- 30:33Speaker 1: came around quickly, like within a half an hour.
- 30:35Speaker 3: I was like, yes, I'd love love to go.
- 30:37Speaker 2: I want to still let him go be around all
- 30:39Speaker 2: his old college hookups.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Well while I'm back out now because none of the
- 30:43Speaker 1: none of the wives are like going, none of the
- 30:46Speaker 1: wives are like going with the dudes. Be the only one,
- 30:52Speaker 1: probably the newliest newlyweds. So I'm like, I can't be
- 30:55Speaker 1: that girl that's like that's like, you know, seriously, him
- 31:00Speaker 1: on his way.
- 31:01Speaker 3: So I think I'm sending him on his way. What
- 31:03Speaker 3: is that in a couple of weeks.
- 31:05Speaker 2: That's exciting.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's.
- 31:07Speaker 3: Better for the both of us.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Yeah, let him bro out.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Yeah, go have your beer at the bar, you know,
- 31:15Speaker 3: play some pods.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Gon do I don't know if I want to a
- 31:17Speaker 2: frat house.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Probably, oh he was in a frat yeah, oh don't
- 31:22Speaker 1: ask you which one.
- 31:23Speaker 2: He might He might hit the town with his frat bros. Yeah,
- 31:26Speaker 2: all generations. Yeah, right, Like I remember when this is
- 31:30Speaker 2: my room. I know.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I actually was like thinking about that. I was like,
- 31:35Speaker 1: I really want to bring him back to like my
- 31:36Speaker 1: college too, you know, to like show him like stomping grounds.
- 31:39Speaker 2: I like him going to your college reunion.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Makes sense, and me going to his doesn't.
- 31:46Speaker 2: I do think it makes sense, But I'm saying I
- 31:48Speaker 2: get you being not wanting to just be the only
- 31:51Speaker 2: one who's like and I'm here.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Too, write I'm totally out if there are otherwise, like
- 31:56Speaker 1: if it happens that like another wife or two does join, ye,
- 32:00Speaker 1: then I'm in. But like I can't be the only one.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Yeah, no, you're just at the bar sober.
- 32:06Speaker 3: Yeah, like my dogs out. Could you imagine roll up
- 32:08Speaker 3: the sandals?
- 32:11Speaker 2: That's not weird though it's not weird. By the way,
- 32:16Speaker 2: do you want to hear some of the outdated wedding
- 32:19Speaker 2: etiquette rules that have been and we can leave them
- 32:22Speaker 2: in the past, just of things that, are there any
- 32:25Speaker 2: things from your wedding and like design or planning wise
- 32:30Speaker 2: that you would have changed.
- 32:32Speaker 1: I didn't realize. I didn't realize that. I I did
- 32:37Speaker 1: the bouquet toss so late, like I thought it was
- 32:40Speaker 1: kind of like the last thing that you do at
- 32:41Speaker 1: the wedding, like that's literally the last thing we did.
- 32:43Speaker 3: But apparently just like make it a moment.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Yeah, do you have a lot of people who were
- 32:48Speaker 1: going to catch it.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Or like dying for the moment to catch the bukaty.
- 32:51Speaker 3: No, I didn't even have like that many singles to
- 32:53Speaker 3: catch it.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, there's like four.
- 32:56Speaker 1: On the dance floor. I was like, eh, we're all
- 32:59Speaker 1: just like.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Someone pushed me out there and I was like stop.
- 33:05Speaker 2: But I was the next one to get engaged. I
- 33:07Speaker 2: think that's true.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Yeah, that's really the only thing I kind of didn't
- 33:12Speaker 1: really use like the traditional whatever things as like my barometers,
- 33:18Speaker 1: Like we didn't do a cake, we didn't do we
- 33:21Speaker 1: didn't do a lot of stuff.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like it also depends on I think
- 33:27Speaker 2: it depends on where you are, and I also think
- 33:30Speaker 2: when when your parents are really I think when you're
- 33:34Speaker 2: if you have the privilege of having your parents cover
- 33:39Speaker 2: like a huge portion or pay for the wedding, it
- 33:42Speaker 2: gives them a little more space to have control over
- 33:45Speaker 2: like who's coming, kind of what it looks like and
- 33:48Speaker 2: all that. You know.
- 33:49Speaker 1: I will say that is the because I hear that
- 33:52Speaker 1: a lot, Like that's the one thing. My parents gave
- 33:55Speaker 1: us a lot of money for the wedding, and they
- 33:57Speaker 1: didn't they really didn't. I think they asked me and
- 34:00Speaker 1: invite like two or three people maybe that I didn't
- 34:03Speaker 1: have on my list. Yeah, like didn't ask for a thing.
- 34:07Speaker 2: That's really nice. So nice because I was gonna say,
- 34:09Speaker 2: I feel like a lot of people, especially in more
- 34:11Speaker 2: like traditional families or like cultures, that's kind of the
- 34:18Speaker 2: you just kind of do what everyone else did, you know. Yeah,
- 34:23Speaker 2: so I do think with Haley and I will have
- 34:26Speaker 2: a lot of things that are probably not considered true
- 34:29Speaker 2: I mean traditional, you know, right, But we're two women
- 34:33Speaker 2: marrying each other, So I don't I already think that's
- 34:36Speaker 2: like not traditional, which I love.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Have we made any progress?
- 34:41Speaker 1: No, no, no, no no.
- 34:42Speaker 2: I think once once the movie is out, she'll have space.
- 34:45Speaker 2: She has no capacity for if I started asking questions
- 34:49Speaker 2: about planning a wedding right now.
- 34:51Speaker 1: No, but you should, like Monica gealleret and you should
- 34:53Speaker 1: have like a full like binder of things just like her.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Do I give you Monica Galler vibes I have and
- 35:00Speaker 2: I could help, Yeah, I mean I could do that
- 35:03Speaker 2: just to be like this or that vibe so that
- 35:06Speaker 2: she really doesn't have to think at all. Right, but
- 35:09Speaker 2: she she does have. It's not like she's just like
- 35:15Speaker 2: you plan it and I'll show up at all. She
- 35:17Speaker 2: definitely has a vision of what she wants to, so
- 35:20Speaker 2: I can't just go on without her. So I was like,
- 35:24Speaker 2: once the movie comes out, then we can you know plan.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Did you listen to Noah Kon's music album yet?
- 35:31Speaker 1: Oh?
- 35:31Speaker 2: Goshugh?
- 35:33Speaker 1: Did you listen to Trainers? Yeah?
- 35:36Speaker 3: Am I for I?
- 35:38Speaker 2: Did you watch SNL?
- 35:41Speaker 3: No?
- 35:41Speaker 2: Did you see the clips of the Alex Verus Alex?
- 35:43Speaker 1: I did?
- 35:44Speaker 2: And I didn't like it? Oh you didn't like it?
- 35:46Speaker 1: I just felt like they just.
- 35:47Speaker 3: Like, really kind of it was a little misogynistic for me.
- 35:50Speaker 2: It's just I think it's personally for me because it's
- 35:54Speaker 2: SNL and they've been around for song and it's so epic.
- 35:57Speaker 2: I think it's if I were the Alex's at this point. Well,
- 36:00Speaker 2: because now there's been so much time that I'm like,
- 36:03Speaker 2: can we just laugh about it? He he haha. Is
- 36:07Speaker 2: everything fine? Because we know nothing that's happened. All we
- 36:10Speaker 2: know is that something happened and no one's saying what
- 36:13Speaker 2: it is.
- 36:13Speaker 1: I feel like Alex Earl is saving it for her
- 36:16Speaker 1: reality but these people, what's her reality show on?
- 36:19Speaker 3: Is it Netflix?
- 36:20Speaker 1: Whatever? It needs to get it together and get it
- 36:22Speaker 1: out asap because the moment is now, you know what I.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Think they've been filming so much before all of this
- 36:29Speaker 2: went down that I don't even know how far into
- 36:31Speaker 2: the season of her reality But part of me wonders
- 36:38Speaker 2: if Alex Cooper she's so I do think she's so smart.
- 36:42Speaker 2: I'm like, does she know they're filming a reality show?
- 36:45Speaker 2: And if I call her out right now, she's not
- 36:47Speaker 2: gonna be able to say anything until it comes out.
- 36:50Speaker 2: If they're smart, you know, Yeah, I don't know. But
- 36:54Speaker 2: what I was gonna say is that something about being
- 36:57Speaker 2: parodied on SNL, I would feel honored. I'd be like,
- 37:03Speaker 2: I've made it. This is huge.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I might say something controversial here, but I don't understand SNL.
- 37:11Speaker 2: What do you mean, like the humor just like it's
- 37:13Speaker 2: not Yeah, yeah, I don't think that you're wrong they
- 37:16Speaker 2: I don't find everything they do to be hilarious. I'm
- 37:20Speaker 2: just I didn't even I just saw clips of it
- 37:22Speaker 2: and I didn't even necessarily laugh out loud. I'm just saying,
- 37:26Speaker 2: to be a parody skit is iconic.
- 37:30Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I guess.
- 37:33Speaker 2: But it's inter miss There's some really funny, funny moments
- 37:38Speaker 2: on SNL.
- 37:39Speaker 3: But it's just tell me that tell me one.
- 37:41Speaker 2: I'm gonna send you one, but it's from a long
- 37:43Speaker 2: time ago. It's it's Lindsay lohand oh my.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Gosh, she's gone back into the archives.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Literally, this is crazy. Healed Lindsay Lohan.
- 37:51Speaker 3: This is like dang yeah.
- 37:53Speaker 2: And she's on there, but it's Jimmy Fallon was still
- 37:57Speaker 2: on there, so this is how old it is. And
- 37:59Speaker 2: they're Disney Disney World and they all break character and
- 38:03Speaker 2: they all have a laugh attack, like genuinely, and it's
- 38:08Speaker 2: one of the funniest clips of all time.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Okay, I do like when people break character, and last
- 38:12Speaker 1: I would like this. Yeah, I don't know. It's like
- 38:15Speaker 1: hard because when I like something, it's like my whole
- 38:18Speaker 1: personality and I can't. Like, there's so much good TV
- 38:23Speaker 1: out there right now, Like we want to watch the
- 38:24Speaker 1: second season of Your Friends and Neighbors, We want to
- 38:27Speaker 1: watch What's the Margaret, Margaret Got a Job, Margaret's a Job,
- 38:33Speaker 1: And there's one other show that's out that we want
- 38:35Speaker 1: to watch, and like we sit down every night and
- 38:38Speaker 1: like it's just Barbecue Brawl next episode.
- 38:41Speaker 2: We've gotta just try just put that can be your
- 38:45Speaker 2: friends at night, you know, I know.
- 38:47Speaker 1: That's that's the only time I watch TV is like
- 38:49Speaker 1: before bed, Like that's like, that's its. Here's the good
- 38:53Speaker 1: news is that we're almost caught up and we have
- 38:56Speaker 1: no more to watch after this season.
- 38:59Speaker 2: So Robi is probably so bummed.
- 39:03Speaker 3: You know, it's both of us.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Yeah, all her team now.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but it goes to show you like, never count
- 39:09Speaker 1: something out. Because I made fun of him for watching
- 39:11Speaker 1: that show. Now I'm like addicted.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, well, Haley's very into Survivor. She was
- 39:17Speaker 2: very excited to get home and continue it. I think
- 39:20Speaker 2: she's almost caught up because how many people.
- 39:22Speaker 3: Are left hard to say, Oh.
- 39:25Speaker 2: You're not even watched barbecue brawls taking no, no, no,
- 39:28Speaker 2: I watch.
- 39:28Speaker 1: I didn't watch Wednesdays because of our gala and I can't.
- 39:32Speaker 1: We can't watch without my step son, So I didn't
- 39:34Speaker 1: watch the last episode.
- 39:36Speaker 2: Do your step son's text in all lowercase?
- 39:40Speaker 1: No?
- 39:41Speaker 2: Oh?
- 39:41Speaker 3: Is that a thing?
- 39:42Speaker 2: Yeah? I was just wondering because gen Z does all overcase.
- 39:45Speaker 2: But I didn't know if Jenn I know, I didn't
- 39:47Speaker 2: know if.
- 39:47Speaker 1: It bringing it back to the old school.
- 39:51Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, you can't keep up. Yeah, wait, did
- 39:54Speaker 2: you all see the did you see the interview of
- 39:57Speaker 2: Olivia Wilde and they went viral. So then her brother
- 40:00Speaker 2: did you see her brother posted that was a perfect
- 40:03Speaker 2: way to address the situation.
- 40:05Speaker 1: So I appreciate that Olivia Wilde commented on it because
- 40:09Speaker 1: it's like it's literally I mean, and I don't know
- 40:11Speaker 1: if it was everywhere, but it was at my for
- 40:13Speaker 1: you page, it was everywhere where. Olivia Wilde is like
- 40:16Speaker 1: a reincarnated corpse of herself. She is who's Gandalf? Is
- 40:20Speaker 1: a Gandalf? Or who's the guy from Lord of the Rings.
- 40:21Speaker 1: They were comparing her.
- 40:22Speaker 2: To God Gollum, Yeah, Gollumn.
- 40:25Speaker 1: No, it's the fish eye lens.
- 40:27Speaker 2: Right, which is kind of that's kind of what point
- 40:29Speaker 2: five does, yes at a certain angle, like you know
- 40:32Speaker 2: how Robbie takes photos of us and we're like, Robbie, Lord,
- 40:35Speaker 2: help us get rid of the point five.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Loves the point five.
- 40:38Speaker 2: So and then I think the lighting was bad. It
- 40:40Speaker 2: was just like a bad setup for her.
- 40:43Speaker 1: She was doing the point five fish eye and she
- 40:45Speaker 1: was very close to them, so that combo is like bad. Like,
- 40:49Speaker 1: let this be a lesson to anybody doing any red
- 40:51Speaker 1: carpet interviews for the publicists. Just make sure that they're
- 40:54Speaker 1: not filming your client in fish eye because it does
- 40:58Speaker 1: look crazy. Yeah, she looked those videos were crazy crazy.
- 41:02Speaker 2: And so her brother posted a video of her talking
- 41:05Speaker 2: about it and she's like laughing, yeah, just saying they
- 41:08Speaker 2: filmed in fish it it's so But she said something
- 41:11Speaker 2: funny like wait, let me find She.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Did say like it was jarring those images.
- 41:17Speaker 2: It was scary. Yeah, it's a startling. She said, it's
- 41:21Speaker 2: a startling image, and indeed it was. And I just
- 41:25Speaker 2: appreciated that instead of being shamed and hiding, she just
- 41:30Speaker 2: said tough angle, tough light. I agree, troubling, troubling.
- 41:36Speaker 1: A troubling image for me to see as well, Like, yeah, girl, yeah.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Do you know how many photos I've seen in myself
- 41:43Speaker 2: that I didn't have control over And I'm like, oh,
- 41:47Speaker 2: someone did me so dirty.
- 41:48Speaker 3: Yeah, but you.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Know, I do feel like the Girlies came and the
- 41:51Speaker 1: Girlies played this weekend because Devil Worst Prada did like
- 41:54Speaker 1: amazing at the box office.
- 41:57Speaker 3: Another clocket. Yeah, I was trying to do that.
- 41:59Speaker 1: I was like, we love to see women over forty
- 42:03Speaker 1: when winning like.
- 42:04Speaker 2: That, we love to see it. I have good Oh
- 42:07Speaker 2: really yeah, I want to see it. Even people were like, oh,
- 42:10Speaker 2: it was so corny. It's not like the first one.
- 42:12Speaker 2: I'm still going to see it.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I need to see it with my own eyes.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Yeah, you've got to. You're gonna have to move from
- 42:17Speaker 2: the couch and BBQ braw to the theater.
- 42:20Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. I go to the I
- 42:22Speaker 1: go to the theaters.
- 42:23Speaker 2: Okay.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I saw the Michael Jackson movie. I saw Mario Galaxy.
- 42:28Speaker 2: I enjoyed the Michael Jackson.
- 42:31Speaker 1: H Holy Mary Mary, uh Mary Mary. The theater I
- 42:38Speaker 1: go to.
- 42:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, did you like Michael? I did me too.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:44Speaker 3: I was expecting not to.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Like it, Like I kind of went in begrudgingly.
- 42:49Speaker 3: Well, I don't know anything.
- 42:51Speaker 2: A lot of people said that, but I guess once
- 42:54Speaker 2: I found out that it was just kind of about
- 42:55Speaker 2: his like his start in his early career. I was like,
- 42:59Speaker 2: what he had. Jackson five had amazing music. He was
- 43:03Speaker 2: amazed that he.
- 43:04Speaker 3: Was in the Jackson five.
- 43:06Speaker 1: I know, that's stuff.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Not to say to that. I would say he was
- 43:13Speaker 2: the star of Jackson Body.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Yes, I learned that in the movie. In the film, yes, yes,
- 43:17Speaker 1: quite the star.
- 43:18Speaker 2: But his nephew was incredible the fact that he wasn't
- 43:22Speaker 2: an actor didn't know really he learned to dance like him.
- 43:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that was crazy.
- 43:28Speaker 2: It was really impressive.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Speaking of dancing, you're getting so much better.
- 43:34Speaker 1: Oh oh, thank you, Sasha Farber and Janelle Parrish.
- 43:39Speaker 2: You guys. Tanya has been like harassing me with videos
- 43:43Speaker 2: of Janelle and Sasha and I'm like, what, like, what
- 43:48Speaker 2: are you?
- 43:48Speaker 4: What?
- 43:48Speaker 2: Am I?
- 43:50Speaker 1: Because I called it? I literally saw them like flirty,
- 43:54Speaker 1: being flirty, And I kept sending it to Becca and
- 43:57Speaker 1: I was like, are they dating? Do you think they're dating? Like,
- 43:59Speaker 1: what's going on here?
- 44:00Speaker 2: Before they confirmed them, it was.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Not check the dates, check the dates.
- 44:05Speaker 3: It was not three days.
- 44:06Speaker 1: I was like, dumois on this case. Okay. I was like,
- 44:10Speaker 1: they're definitely doating. I was like, but she's married, she's married,
- 44:12Speaker 1: she's married. Then the news broke of her divorce. I
- 44:14Speaker 1: sent that street Towak, so it's the is.
- 44:17Speaker 2: The was the excite your excitement or intrigue around it
- 44:21Speaker 2: that she was married?
- 44:22Speaker 1: I unsluiced their love affair before it was a thing,
- 44:25Speaker 1: before it was public.
- 44:27Speaker 3: I am TMZ.
- 44:29Speaker 2: She sent it to me April twenty first.
- 44:31Speaker 1: The very first when I sent you.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and then he posted them on April twenty second,
- 44:38Speaker 2: there's no one.
- 44:38Speaker 1: Yeah, posted them, posted them, but they didn't kiss or
- 44:42Speaker 1: confirm that they were dating until like last week.
- 44:44Speaker 2: Sam, Yes, you sent it to me, and I said, what, like,
- 44:49Speaker 2: what am I supposed to react to this? Like? What's
- 44:52Speaker 2: exciting about it? But also I didn't watch Pretty Little Liars, so.
- 44:56Speaker 1: I don't know the lord.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know like her. Oh okay, well, and
- 45:03Speaker 2: so I said what she gets. It's his new girl.
- 45:05Speaker 2: And I said, I feel like he's always dancing with
- 45:07Speaker 2: someone new, Like I don't really go yeah right.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Becka said it was just like him dancing and I
- 45:11Speaker 1: was like, no, no, no, there's more here.
- 45:12Speaker 3: I know there's more here.
- 45:14Speaker 2: And then she said great, and then she said me
- 45:16Speaker 2: more of them dancing and said I'm I said, I'm
- 45:21Speaker 2: fascinated by how interested you are in these two and
- 45:24Speaker 2: she said, I'm very interested in their love affairs. So
- 45:27Speaker 2: every time they post something, she sends it to me,
- 45:30Speaker 2: so I'm all upon, I know all about them. They're
- 45:33Speaker 2: all over my algorithm.
- 45:34Speaker 1: I think you're gonna get your wish this year, and
- 45:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna watch Dancing with the Stars this fall.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Oh wow, who do you hope is on it this.
- 45:41Speaker 2: I bet it's gonna be.
- 45:41Speaker 1: All I need is more Higgins. I got that. That's
- 45:46Speaker 1: all I need to watch.
- 45:47Speaker 2: Great the more set if she.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Gets week one, though, you got some we got some problems.
- 45:52Speaker 2: She said she wants to be with anyone except for Gleb.
- 45:55Speaker 3: I didn't understand that.
- 45:56Speaker 2: Well, Gleb, there's always well.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Was he the one with Yes? Oh so he's like
- 46:03Speaker 1: a man player or like like what like a playboy?
- 46:05Speaker 2: I would say he's a ladies man. He yeah, Oh.
- 46:08Speaker 1: So he's like try and hit on Maura. She doesn't
- 46:11Speaker 1: want that.
- 46:11Speaker 2: I guess she was like, I'm just trying to win
- 46:13Speaker 2: a mirror ball trip, right, trying to dance. Yeah, but yeah,
- 46:18Speaker 2: that's that's what he's known for. So they might care
- 46:23Speaker 2: her with him, just because she said she didn't want
- 46:25Speaker 2: to dang what they do? I was a producer, like,
- 46:30Speaker 2: and I had a vision for how I wanted the
- 46:33Speaker 2: show to go. That's what I would do.
- 46:34Speaker 1: You would you wouldn't give her mark. I'm I'm curious
- 46:37Speaker 1: to see what they do too.
- 46:39Speaker 2: I think that I can't tell if she's one of
- 46:42Speaker 2: those people who could who has the potential to be
- 46:45Speaker 2: an amazing dancer. Or if she really is not a
- 46:49Speaker 2: great dancer, and so they're like, well, we don't want to,
- 46:51Speaker 2: you know. I think Mark probably is very specific that
- 46:54Speaker 2: if he's going to be on the show, if he
- 46:57Speaker 2: wants a good enough dancer, because me was like Broadway Star.
- 47:01Speaker 3: Yeah, it'd be tough to be on that show.
- 47:05Speaker 2: The Stars. Well, the people want you on there. They
- 47:08Speaker 2: think you're ready from our five second videos.
- 47:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm like, it's hard enough for me to learn
- 47:13Speaker 1: a TikTok, which is like fifteen seconds of a dance.
- 47:15Speaker 3: Could you imagine me having to learn two minutes of
- 47:17Speaker 3: a dance?
- 47:17Speaker 2: No, but you are. You learn really fast. I think
- 47:20Speaker 2: you just don't like doing it.
- 47:22Speaker 1: No, I can learn what I also realized I learned
- 47:24Speaker 1: from watching you. I can't watch the mirrored image, Like
- 47:28Speaker 1: it's hard for me learn tiktoks because I'm looking at
- 47:30Speaker 1: the TikTok when you're teaching me.
- 47:32Speaker 3: I'm much quicker.
- 47:33Speaker 2: Okay for a future reference, Well then I'm a choreographer. Yeah,
- 47:41Speaker 2: we have to wrap up.
- 47:42Speaker 1: But we have some guests this week.
- 47:45Speaker 2: Yeah, we do.
- 47:46Speaker 1: Can we share?
- 47:47Speaker 3: Are they like confirmed?
