Latest / International Flavor: Where the Truth Tastes Better / Who Owns the Sky? Satellite Control, Star Trek Cloaking, and the Global Fight Over Truth and Visibility
Transcript
- 0:00Hello, good morning, welcome.
- 0:01It is Wednesday.
- 0:04Isn't this the greatest day in radio?
- 0:08Isn't that what this is on damn radio?
- 0:11Isn't that what we're led to understand?
- 0:14It's certainly what I am.
- 0:15I hope you're picking up what I'm putting
- 0:17down because I'm putting down that we have
- 0:22the biggest day in radio upon us here
- 0:24from the Lake Ozark real estate of the
- 0:26art studio coming to you live from damn
- 0:29radio.com forward slash live.
- 0:31How do you like that?
- 0:32If you feel the urge to call in,
- 0:34please do.
- 0:35That would be 5737468020.
- 0:40Somebody's a little loud in my ear.
- 0:42Oh, it's me.
- 0:43Let's see.
- 0:44We're going to do thusly.
- 0:47Life is good.
- 0:48So I got to thinking, and I know
- 0:50that's a scary concept.
- 0:52And what was I thinking about?
- 0:53I was thinking about Star Trek.
- 0:54I was thinking about, of course, Star Trek.
- 0:58I mean, what else would you think about
- 0:59in your spare time but Star Trek?
- 1:03And the fact is that Star Trek is
- 1:06upon us in many ways.
- 1:08We got robots.
- 1:08Do you remember when, I don't know if
- 1:11you're a Star Trek fan or not, but
- 1:12I like Star Trek.
- 1:13I like the old ones, but somehow I'm
- 1:15a next generation dude.
- 1:16I got all the next generations.
- 1:20I like to watch them time and time
- 1:23and time and time and time.
- 1:25But I especially well, there's a number of
- 1:27favorite characters, but probably one of my favorites
- 1:29is the Commander Data, who in 10 years
- 1:34never got promoted.
- 1:35I don't understand that.
- 1:36But he was Commander Data doing all of
- 1:40his stuff.
- 1:41And he was an android.
- 1:44Okay.
- 1:45And didn't want it.
- 1:46I don't remember if it was season number
- 1:48one or season number two.
- 1:53He had sex with a woman.
- 1:57He said that he was fully functional and
- 2:00certainly functional.
- 2:02So we're even there these days.
- 2:04I think it's to reverse, but people have
- 2:06been buying toys for 100 years.
- 2:09At least I think so.
- 2:10I don't know.
- 2:11I'm not out purchasing toys, but if I
- 2:13bought one, it'd be a damn robot.
- 2:15And apparently that's a big deal.
- 2:17So technology's upon us.
- 2:19But anyway, bring you on the show to
- 2:22talk about sex robots.
- 2:23I brought you on because technology is getting
- 2:25us and technology.
- 2:29I reported a few days ago.
- 2:31Maybe it was last week.
- 2:32I don't know.
- 2:33On a story coming to us from Canada,
- 2:37from France, from several other countries.
- 2:42And Poland, I think.
- 2:45Germany, for sure.
- 2:48They are reinvigorating, restructuring their satellite programs because
- 2:57the US is curtailing the use of data.
- 3:02I said something to you about this the
- 3:03other day.
- 3:04They're curtailing the use of intelligence.
- 3:07So way back when I was a young
- 3:09man in the military, I had access to
- 3:15satellite data, to seeing pictures, images of the
- 3:21ground in foreign countries from our satellites because
- 3:26we were sending out satellites.
- 3:29And all of the pictures that we were
- 3:33taking were pretty much secret.
- 3:36Well, now anybody can get on Google Earth,
- 3:39just about anywhere in the world and go
- 3:41and take some things.
- 3:42And there are ways to buy live feed
- 3:48and see what's going on live at particular
- 3:52places.
- 3:52It's private data.
- 3:54Private companies own a lot of these apparatus,
- 4:00a lot of these satellites.
- 4:02Elon Musk has a shit pod of them
- 4:04up there in the atmosphere, passing out internet
- 4:07to people.
- 4:09And the Russians are catching up.
- 4:11The Chinese have been doing it for a
- 4:13long time.
- 4:14There's talk about lasers being up there.
- 4:16And I got to pondering and pondering what
- 4:19a wonderful thing it is.
- 4:21We sit and we ponder.
- 4:22I was like, you know, if you go
- 4:25back to your Star Trek, even the first
- 4:28iter, well, not the first, well, I suppose
- 4:30it was the first with Captain Kirk, he,
- 4:35you know, James Tiberius variety, he had engagements,
- 4:43he fights with the Klingons, right?
- 4:47And the Romulans, and both the Klingons and
- 4:50the Romulans had cloaking technology.
- 4:55Now it was pretty funny when they started
- 4:56making the movies with the young kid who
- 4:58was doing all the new, the new Captain
- 5:00Kirk, who's actually an awesome job.
- 5:02I like those movies as well.
- 5:06Those showed a new guy and those people
- 5:08had all sorts of technology that Captain Kirk
- 5:11never had.
- 5:12And, or maybe they did have it and
- 5:14they just couldn't show it because our technology
- 5:16was limited.
- 5:17Maybe they aren't really from earth, but they
- 5:18say they're from earth where they began.
- 5:20And so, you know, the Vulcans first discovered
- 5:24the, and when I was in a different
- 5:27episode, that was one of the movies where
- 5:29they discovered earth and they, you know, they
- 5:31had to go back in time and save
- 5:33it from the Borg.
- 5:34I mean, that was important.
- 5:35And the technology, maybe that was it.
- 5:39I don't know.
- 5:39I still can't figure it out in the
- 5:41logical frame of mind and how you walk,
- 5:43walk through these very important things that you
- 5:47need to know about a non-existent world.
- 5:50Okay.
- 5:51But at any rate, the technology existed to
- 5:54cloak and cloaking something means you make it
- 5:58invisible.
- 5:59I mean, Harry Potter's got an invisibility cloak.
- 6:02You can have a cloak of invisibility and
- 6:05you know, I don't have one.
- 6:06And, but the U S can make invisible
- 6:13the visual waves.
- 6:18They can, they can do that because they
- 6:22just shut off the satellites.
- 6:23And what they do is they say these
- 6:25satellites, you can't, because I reported to you
- 6:29last week that there was some, some time
- 6:31limit they were putting on it where you
- 6:33couldn't get it automatically.
- 6:34You could only get whatever it was 10,
- 6:3720 hours away, right?
- 6:39You could get that.
- 6:40And then you, now the U S is
- 6:44saying that you can only get it several
- 6:48days later.
- 6:49And they've, they've engaged in regulation and said
- 6:53that this is a critical that they can't,
- 6:58we can't follow troops, even 10, 20 hours
- 7:01later, they want to make it several days
- 7:03to give them a window to get out
- 7:05because you're helping the enemy.
- 7:07Okay.
- 7:07But understand that their efforts, the other direction,
- 7:12everybody's doing it.
- 7:13And people are up in arms because Russia
- 7:16and China are selling Iran data.
- 7:21I don't see anything wrong with that.
- 7:23That's the world.
- 7:23We sell all our stuff to Israel.
- 7:27We sell it all to all over Europe,
- 7:28but the Europeans don't like it because Donald
- 7:31Trump is unstable in a lot of people's
- 7:34views.
- 7:34And so he's blocking it.
- 7:37Hegg says, interesting fellow.
- 7:41And they, they, who knows what they're going
- 7:44to do next?
- 7:44You know, ah, we're going to Greenland, get
- 7:48on our helmets.
- 7:49Off we go.
- 7:51So anyway, I'm thinking about, you know, the,
- 7:55these sort of who controls the sky.
- 7:58I mean, Elon Musk gets to tell Russia,
- 8:01you know, I'm not going to give you
- 8:03any, um, any, I don't know what any
- 8:10access to the internet.
- 8:11So Russia sends up their own side, their
- 8:13own internet satellites.
- 8:15China sends up their own.
- 8:17It's the technology helps and whoever limits it
- 8:21also helps, but whoever controls the sky controls
- 8:25the truth.
- 8:26Okay.
- 8:27And, and that's the part that, uh, you
- 8:30know, the control of the truth.
- 8:32We, we only see all the good stuff
- 8:34over here that this stuff, well, according to
- 8:36us to good stuff, but you know, Oh,
- 8:38geez, we blew up Russia and blah, blah,
- 8:41blah, an oil thing.
- 8:42We blew up by Iranian.
- 8:44This, we, we killed the train or a
- 8:46bridge, a train, a bridge for a train
- 8:50in Iran.
- 8:50You know, we blocked them off and now
- 8:52we've got the, uh, I don't know what
- 8:54the, um, um, the Kurds coming in to,
- 9:00to, to fight that battle for us because
- 9:02now we fought off or we've separated the
- 9:05two parts of, uh, of Iran.
- 9:07And by the way, there is no ceasefire.
- 9:10It was a joke anyway.
- 9:12And, um, an hour later, Israel's bombing the
- 9:16crap out of stuff of UAE.
- 9:18Somebody bombed something else.
- 9:20And, and, uh, is, and, and, and you
- 9:22think of the play on this, this is
- 9:23actually a good idea from the, from, from
- 9:26Donald Trump.
- 9:27It says this, if you, I've been accusing
- 9:30the guy of having no strategy, Hegseth zero
- 9:33strategy.
- 9:33Well, then they didn't think about the, or
- 9:36maybe they just didn't believe.
- 9:38And they were too dumb to, to believe
- 9:40the right people.
- 9:41I don't know, but, uh, they didn't anticipate
- 9:44the result of the closing of or moves.
- 9:46Now they're saying they want to create a
- 9:48new company.
- 9:49Donald Trump make a nickel off anything, right?
- 9:52We're going to create a new company.
- 9:54The U S with Iran will control it.
- 9:56And then we'll split the money.
- 9:58You know, the only reason to do that
- 10:00is to keep it in dollars and not
- 10:02in Yuan.
- 10:02That's it.
- 10:03And, uh, and, and, well, and for the
- 10:05U S to take the money, although we
- 10:07don't even need the straights of horror moves,
- 10:09according to Donald Trump, we don't need it.
- 10:10It's not for us.
- 10:11It's for everybody else.
- 10:12He wants to make money off the Europeans,
- 10:14right?
- 10:15So I'm not so sure.
- 10:18Um, let's, let's see here.
- 10:21I want to get back to where I
- 10:23was going.
- 10:24So on April 5th, Reuters said that planet
- 10:27labs would indefinitely withhold imagery of Iran and
- 10:32surrounding conflict areas after the U S government
- 10:35requested it.
- 10:37Okay.
- 10:37Well, then why am I seeing them on
- 10:39TV all the time?
- 10:41Reuters also reported that this followed earlier restrictions,
- 10:45including a 14 day delay and that planet
- 10:49would move to a managed distribution model, releasing
- 10:53imagery only in limited cases.
- 10:56Reuters reported on March 10th, that planet already
- 11:00expanded its delay from four days to 14
- 11:03for the middle East to keep adversaries from
- 11:07exploiting it.
- 11:08Okay.
- 11:09So only the U S can control it.
- 11:11That gives, uh, you know, everyone a little
- 11:14bit of pause to think, well, this is
- 11:16all great.
- 11:16You know, we want to blow up all
- 11:18these people.
- 11:18This is what we want to do.
- 11:20We can't have people seeing the effects of
- 11:22the nastiness of war.
- 11:24We can't have that.
- 11:25It, and trust me, this isn't for, uh,
- 11:28targeting.
- 11:29They all got that anyway.
- 11:30And, uh, and, and they're getting that from
- 11:32different sources.
- 11:33So this isn't for targeting.
- 11:35This is the effects.
- 11:36This is why you can't have it immediately.
- 11:38It's not that, you know, that stuff, maybe
- 11:41that botched operation where they actually turned it
- 11:45into the success.
- 11:46I don't believe that they would send over
- 11:48three C one thirties and several black Hawks
- 11:52to go and rescue one man.
- 11:54You know, they wouldn't do that.
- 11:56And, uh, that there's something else that that
- 11:59was a result of there.
- 12:00That's idiotic.
- 12:01You know, an air insertion team is a,
- 12:04isn't a black Hawk.
- 12:05I've done it.
- 12:06You can go and, and be inserted only
- 12:08in training, by the way, I never, never
- 12:10actually got to do it in, in a
- 12:12wartime situation.
- 12:13I was a Russian interpreter.
- 12:14What the hell are we going to do?
- 12:15And, uh, but at any rate, uh, I
- 12:17did get to do it in, in be
- 12:19inserted.
- 12:19You're inserted that way, or you're inserted through
- 12:22a U H one and you can jump
- 12:24out of that helicopter on a, uh, you
- 12:26know, drop three, 400 feet.
- 12:28It's about it on a, a repelling line.
- 12:31And I've done that repeatedly.
- 12:33That was a lot of fun.
- 12:34And in fact, I fell out of one,
- 12:36one time saved myself, but I should be
- 12:39dead on numerous occasions.
- 12:41And that was definitely one of them.
- 12:43But, uh, uh, the insertion team would have
- 12:46been a hell of a lot smaller than
- 12:48three C one thirties that could carry upwards
- 12:50of 200 men BS.
- 12:52There's something else going on.
- 12:54And, uh, that failed is, is my thought.
- 12:57And, uh, there's a lot of speculation that
- 13:00whatever it was, was that the we're going
- 13:02to go steal their uranium member.
- 13:04I was having questions about that two days
- 13:06ago.
- 13:06Anyway, the, the visibility of all of this
- 13:10is only government used to have the God's
- 13:13eye view.
- 13:14I was part of it.
- 13:15You know, we could, we, the, the satellite
- 13:17imagery, you, you couldn't even talk about it.
- 13:19You couldn't even talk about what you saw
- 13:21on the satellite imagery nowadays.
- 13:24Jeez, everybody's got it.
- 13:25You got it in the palm of your
- 13:26hand.
- 13:27And, uh, but way back then, that's what
- 13:29it was way back then sending a text
- 13:31message.
- 13:32You wouldn't believe it.
- 13:33The very, I was involved in the very
- 13:35first text messages where, Oh my God, we
- 13:37don't have to speak.
- 13:38All we got to do is send a
- 13:39little piece of encrypted data.
- 13:41And you had these little, they were about
- 13:44an inch and a half thick, but they
- 13:47were a solid flat, uh, cathode ray tube
- 13:51or whatever.
- 13:51They were just green and, and, and, and
- 13:54a, uh, and a, and a blinking green
- 13:56light up on the top.
- 13:57And I forget what they were called, but,
- 14:00uh, we, we were experimenting with those.
- 14:02They'd go put us behind enemy lines at
- 14:04the national training center and play around with
- 14:06those things and say, uh, we can text
- 14:09you stuff.
- 14:09You can stay radio silent because all we're
- 14:13doing is sending encrypted data, you know, text
- 14:16message dial here.
- 14:17It is.
- 14:18And have you spent billions on that crap?
- 14:21And, uh, it's like somebody to send you
- 14:23a text message.
- 14:24Where are you?
- 14:26Send one back going, I'm over here.
- 14:28When's breakfast coming?
- 14:31That's that I'm kidding.
- 14:32But, uh, you know, you could, it was
- 14:35the first text messaging was in the form
- 14:37of these, it was before pagers were really
- 14:41prevalent member people in their damn pagers.
- 14:43Oh, phone number showed up.
- 14:44I've got to run.
- 14:46Everybody's all busy now.
- 14:48Uh, but the government is the one who
- 14:51was in charge of all that and kept
- 14:52all that stuff and took the technology first.
- 14:54Now technology is available to anybody.
- 14:57I'm truly thinking that since, uh, Russia has
- 15:00double the number of engineers, we do.
- 15:02China has like 10 times as many now
- 15:05India has so many in the United States,
- 15:07we put out somewhere in the neighborhood of
- 15:09a hundred of, of 30,000 a year.
- 15:12And there's a steady, uh, uh, not production,
- 15:15a solid number of those job positions in
- 15:18America that are only in the number of
- 15:21150,000.
- 15:22I read you something about this a couple
- 15:24of months ago where, where we were looking
- 15:26at the engineering, uh, go out, go out
- 15:28and find one of those.
- 15:29Cause on YouTube or on any of those
- 15:31are placed to make sure you believe the
- 15:32sources, but there's a lot of international sources
- 15:35of engineering and they aren't America.
- 15:38You know, our schools are crappier.
- 15:40Our it's, we're like number 30 down and
- 15:44where the engineering comes from.
- 15:47Everybody wants, they don't want our engineers.
- 15:49I mean they do, but they want engineer,
- 15:51they want the better trained ones are China,
- 15:54India, and Russia and Iran too.
- 15:56Iran was pretty high up there.
- 15:58Tell you what the rest of the world's
- 15:59progressing.
- 16:00Anyway, I say all of that because the,
- 16:03uh, exploitation of the satellite imagery is now,
- 16:08um, much more difficult because France is going
- 16:13to start sending up their own because the
- 16:15U S doesn't want to share.
- 16:17Uh, Ukraine wants to send up their own
- 16:19Poland.
- 16:20Think about it.
- 16:21All of these people, because it's an uneven
- 16:23playing field and they got to kiss the
- 16:26rear end of Pete Hegseth to get anything.
- 16:28And they don't want to do that.
- 16:30They don't want to work with Donald Trump,
- 16:31Donald Trump in the minds of many, many,
- 16:34many international people, uh, go from being unstable,
- 16:38which, uh, to being completely erratic.
- 16:40Now I will unstable is a bad connotation,
- 16:44erratic.
- 16:44I'm all over that.
- 16:46That guy's erratic as hell.
- 16:47One day we're going to war the next
- 16:49day.
- 16:50It's a, you know, I'm praising Allah.
- 16:51What the hell is that?
- 16:54He's off internationally for sure.
- 16:57And there's something strange going on.
- 17:00So, uh, the government is who's in charge
- 17:03of the telescopes, you know, so they're trying
- 17:06to, Washington is trying to put a lid
- 17:08on it until they can, can destroy a
- 17:11civilization in Iran.
- 17:12Right.
- 17:13And they're also trying to do it in
- 17:14other places, but they want to share it
- 17:16with Ukraine so that Ukraine can, um, um,
- 17:22you know, bomb Russia, you know, the, on
- 17:25our behalf, that's how it works.
- 17:27So government, you know, private companies sold the
- 17:30heavens, you know, Elon Musk is selling the
- 17:33heavens by a subscription, you know, so here's
- 17:36your subscription.
- 17:37You can have the internet and you know,
- 17:40you're going to pay me.
- 17:41What's the little device you buy and you
- 17:43can put on your RV, 500 bucks cost
- 17:45you 3000 if it's for a business.
- 17:48And then you pay like a hundred, $150
- 17:50a month, the rest of your life.
- 17:51And you got internet everywhere.
- 17:53As long as Elon Musk keeps it turned
- 17:55on or you don't live in Russia, if
- 18:01you live somewhere where he don't like you,
- 18:03then he just, I'm turning it off there.
- 18:06And what he's actually doing is the reverse
- 18:07too.
- 18:08He's giving it to people that the government
- 18:10doesn't want them to have it to, and
- 18:11he's allowing them to.
- 18:13So several countries in Africa, you can't, you
- 18:16have to have, you can't buy an Elon
- 18:19Musk receiver.
- 18:22You can't use one.
- 18:23You can't have one because the government won't
- 18:25allow it.
- 18:26Um, you know, North Korea, you know, other
- 18:28places like that.
- 18:29And so what we're, you know, it's a
- 18:31selective who gets to see what, and the
- 18:34same thing is going on with satellite imagery.
- 18:36So, um, I'm saying we're not living in
- 18:39star Trek yet, but we're kind of a
- 18:41prequel to, you know, we're watching, um, um,
- 18:46uh, we're watching them, these things, these technologies
- 18:51come to bear right now.
- 18:54And so, you know, we don't have any
- 18:57cloaking devices for the Klingon.
- 19:00We don't have any federation hollow decks where
- 19:03you can get on and create a, uh,
- 19:05an environment that you can go wander in.
- 19:07Since you're stuck on a starship for five
- 19:10years mission, then you could go on this
- 19:12hollow deck and create some woods that you
- 19:14can walk through with your, you know, little
- 19:16significant other that you found on the Lido
- 19:19deck or wherever you went to.
- 19:22Uh, but we do have commercial eyes in
- 19:24orbit that we have.
- 19:26We have AI assisted image analysis, which is
- 19:30often wrong.
- 19:31We have immersive projection systems, humanoid robots, and
- 19:36an intensifying global race over who gets sovereign
- 19:41their own access to space-based intelligence.
- 19:45We're even talking about aliens being some, some,
- 19:48uh, US Senator was talking about, um, um,
- 19:53talking about having some aliens that we already
- 19:56know about it.
- 19:57They're among us.
- 19:58And so that's the news today.
- 20:00Um, you know, the science fiction props are
- 20:04definitely, you know, are fake, but the underlying
- 20:06political struggle is pretty real.
- 20:09Commercial hologram systems already do exist for entertainment,
- 20:14for advertising, but all they are display technologies
- 20:17like what if, okay.
- 20:20So we talk about here on damn radio,
- 20:23several people talk about flock cameras, the cameras
- 20:26that they put up to detect you, uh,
- 20:29the speeding camera, the, this camera, the, that,
- 20:31so the, for several years there was a,
- 20:34and there still are, they still exist.
- 20:36They're marginal, uh, whether they work or not,
- 20:39never have all completely wiped it out, but
- 20:43you could either spray your license plate with
- 20:45some substance that made it invisible to cameras.
- 20:48It doesn't work anymore because camera technology doesn't
- 20:52go the way it used to.
- 20:53When it was a flash technology, no problem
- 20:55at all because the flash would turn it
- 20:58into a white spot and there's no way
- 21:00you could get around it.
- 21:01And so you could, that might work.
- 21:03And they have those covers that, uh, uh,
- 21:06you see on these really low rider cars
- 21:08that, uh, uh, well, you see it on
- 21:11a lot of cars, but that, that cover
- 21:14the license plate in some like blue, like
- 21:19a blue background or a green background so
- 21:22that you don't get a, an image of
- 21:24it.
- 21:25Uh, but there's no such thing.
- 21:27There's AI generated imagery that you could potentially
- 21:31shine onto the top of your house.
- 21:34I suppose, you know, camouflage systems exist that
- 21:38cover entire buildings, you know, but they're a
- 21:41physical piece of, uh, equipment like a military
- 21:45camouflage net and people are camouflaging those things.
- 21:48They're going underground, they're going into caverns, they're
- 21:52doing something else.
- 21:53And, uh, you know, how do you, I
- 21:59mean, will there ever be a cloaking device
- 22:01with AI?
- 22:02Are we able to share those things or
- 22:04shine those things onto the, uh, um, top
- 22:11of our house and have people able to,
- 22:15uh, see them?
- 22:18And, you know, it's, let's see, it's an
- 22:25interesting world in which we live.
- 22:28And I'm sorry, I got a text about
- 22:31something and I was making sure that it's,
- 22:34uh, that all is well.
- 22:35So at any rate, the, the technology does
- 22:39exist for creating AI imagery or creating, um,
- 22:48camouflage sorts of covers, because what they're doing
- 22:52is they're generating, so there's all kinds of
- 22:55big things that actually work.
- 22:57So, you know, it's not, not like we're
- 23:00going to buy a cloaking device at Walmart
- 23:01for our car or our license plate, or,
- 23:04you know, or anything like that.
- 23:06But in Star Trek, who's gets the advantage
- 23:09of superior sensors, you know, what they're regulating
- 23:13or what they're attempting to regulate is access
- 23:18to the data at all.
- 23:20The amount of, um, the amount of information
- 23:27that is available and how accurate it is
- 23:31to what degree, like, um, arguably they say
- 23:35that you can get a pixel size that
- 23:38on the pixels that you go down to
- 23:40when you go to pixel size, it will
- 23:42be as small as, uh, uh, 30, 30,
- 23:48um, millimeters.
- 23:52I mean, it's a small amount.
- 23:54And so you can get some very serious
- 23:57detail with cameras today.
- 23:59I mean, I remember the technology that we
- 24:01had when I was serving the military, they
- 24:03alleged that you could read the date off
- 24:05a dime from the orbit of a satellite.
- 24:08So a dime lane in the street, you
- 24:10could read the date off it is, is,
- 24:12is what they were in.
- 24:13And it's advanced astronomically since that time.
- 24:18And, uh, so I mean, you know, this,
- 24:23are we able to buy cloaking devices?
- 24:25I don't know, but there's all kinds of
- 24:28stuff, delayed image, publication, camouflage, deception, putting something
- 24:33else out there, radar signature management, thermal suppression,
- 24:38because remember you can do a thermal camera
- 24:39to jamming, spoofing, creating fake, uh, tanks and
- 24:44putting them out there, having a cardboard tank,
- 24:46you know, and legal restrictions on who gets
- 24:51the data.
- 24:51So Reuters saying that planet, uh, you know,
- 24:55was restricting all this on behalf of the
- 24:57Trump administration, you know, is kind of proof
- 24:59of this to battlefield edge is not only
- 25:02who can see it, it's who can keep
- 25:03others from seeing it.
- 25:05And so that's important.
- 25:07Who owns the sky in all seriousness, the
- 25:10oldest model was pretty straightforward.
- 25:12Major States owned spy satellites.
- 25:16Nobody else did.
- 25:18Everybody else had to guess.
- 25:19The new model is a hell of a
- 25:21lot messier.
- 25:22You know, the, the frontier is the sky
- 25:25commercial firms sell detailed imagery.
- 25:30And that means journalists, analysts, hedge funds, militaries,
- 25:34and hostile actors can all be looking at
- 25:36the same patch of earth that democratization.
- 25:41If you want to call it that of
- 25:43overhead imagery is what is now being curtailed
- 25:46by the democratic States, you know, by, by
- 25:49the Trump administration.
- 25:51And I don't know, I I've always been
- 25:53one of those people.
- 25:54I want to level playing field, whether it
- 25:56happens, you know, in T-ball or whether
- 25:58it happens, uh, you know, in global thermonuclear
- 26:02war, you know, with, uh, Ferris Bueller, you
- 26:07know, I, or, or, well, he wasn't really
- 26:09Ferris Bueller now when he was another same
- 26:11kid.
- 26:13But at any rate, I, I always want
- 26:16a level playing field.
- 26:17I suppose I'm completely wrong in that, but
- 26:20I think that hugely unfair wars are crap.
- 26:26You know, there are a lot of people
- 26:28on the planet, including me that say that
- 26:32you are, that you should honor the sovereignty
- 26:37of other nations.
- 26:40You've just, because you're bigger, doesn't give you
- 26:43the right to, uh, destroy, you know, just
- 26:47that's not how it works and not how
- 26:50it should work anyway.
- 26:52And I'm, let's see, I'm wondering here what
- 26:59we have going on.
- 27:00I'm, I'm feeling like a Jr should call
- 27:04me if you're, if, if you're listening or
- 27:06even if you're not, if this is not
- 27:09working, um, cause I'm not positive it's transmitting.
- 27:13I think it is, but what the hell
- 27:15do I know?
- 27:17Um, let's see here.
- 27:20Yeah.
- 27:21Okay.
- 27:21Well, I guess we are.
- 27:22Um, but there you go.
- 27:24So who trusts Washington to give them either
- 27:28accurate data or allow them access to data
- 27:33in a timely fashion?
- 27:35Nobody, even our allies don't trust us.
- 27:38Well, except Israel, they get it first, you
- 27:41know, if anything, you know, they get it
- 27:42first.
- 27:43And so I'm, I'm, I'm sorry that I'm
- 27:49reading a Trump Trumpism right now, his, uh,
- 27:53his true social, uh, advertising platform.
- 27:56Um, at any rate, the, you know, everybody
- 27:59owned it before, but now hostile actors can,
- 28:03or if you want to call them that,
- 28:05you know, who's the hostile actor depends on
- 28:07what's happening and who you believe.
- 28:10And, uh, I'm, I'm a disbeliever, but the
- 28:14playing field is level only until it matters.
- 28:17The state leans on the company that if
- 28:21the state doesn't want them, that's regulation.
- 28:24So, but who owns the sky above used
- 28:28to be that if you, for example, uh,
- 28:31so many, I don't know what the law
- 28:32says anymore.
- 28:33I really don't, but it used to be
- 28:35that, uh, you know, the, your property is
- 28:39your property, which means the, the stratosphere above
- 28:47your property.
- 28:49You know, if you could take a straight
- 28:50line from the, uh, from your property line
- 28:56and go straight up in the air, a
- 28:59million miles, anything inside of that million of
- 29:03your property lines all the way up is
- 29:05still your property.
- 29:07It's true going down to the center of
- 29:09the earth as well, but that depends on
- 29:12the country where you live, because some people
- 29:14say it has nothing to do with it.
- 29:16You know, you can't stop somebody from flying
- 29:19a drone over your property, or can you
- 29:24do it?
- 29:25If I wanted to drone your house and
- 29:27see if you had hidden oil reserves underneath
- 29:31with my drone so that I could, uh,
- 29:34go and steal them or say, Hey, you
- 29:37know, I wonder if they got that, that,
- 29:39uh, that car they stole from my garage.
- 29:43I believe he stole it.
- 29:44Why don't I just fly over his house
- 29:46with this little, uh, drone thing I have
- 29:48and we'll fly on over there and we'll
- 29:50catch a view of my car in his
- 29:54yard or not because it's under the ground
- 29:57or it's in a garage or whatever, but
- 30:00who owns the land above or the sky
- 30:02above your house?
- 30:03Who owns the dirt below?
- 30:04Well, if you drill for oil, you own
- 30:06the oil below too.
- 30:08But what if it's a huge pool of
- 30:10oil?
- 30:10This created all kinds of cool stuff in
- 30:12property law in law school, because sometimes you
- 30:17have these huge aquifers of water and people
- 30:21are fighting for the water, but one guy
- 30:23builds a well and starts selling it to
- 30:25everybody else.
- 30:26And they're going, but wait, the aquifer goes
- 30:28under my property too.
- 30:30I own the water beneath as well.
- 30:32You have a, you didn't build well, you
- 30:34know, I built the well and I can
- 30:36charge you for the water coming out of
- 30:39my well, because once it hits my well,
- 30:41it's my water.
- 30:42You want water, build your own well and
- 30:45otherwise pay me.
- 30:48And it depends on the state, depends on
- 30:50the country, depends on a lot of stuff.
- 30:52And so at any rate, this, these, nobody
- 30:58trusts their neighbor anymore to provide them water
- 31:01for free, even though they own part of
- 31:03it.
- 31:03Certainly it's even 10 times worse if it
- 31:05happens to be oil or some valuable mineral
- 31:08that everybody has access to.
- 31:10You know, what if I go underground and
- 31:13discover a stream of gold that runs from
- 31:16my, you know, underneath, I dig a mine
- 31:20in my house, but then I keep going
- 31:22under yours.
- 31:24And there's plenty of gold under yours.
- 31:26Well, you own the gold below your house,
- 31:28but I ain't going to tell you because
- 31:29I'm down in my own mine.
- 31:32Build your own damn mine.
- 31:33And so what if I'm under your house?
- 31:35Well, it matters a lot if the house
- 31:36falls in, but it doesn't matter so much
- 31:38if not, and all I'm doing is stealing
- 31:40your gold.
- 31:41So at any rate, that's if, if Washington,
- 31:44all these laws develop over time and let's,
- 31:48let's talk about for something that is so
- 31:51foolish, but it could be fun.
- 31:53Klingon cloaks are definitely fiction, you know, the
- 31:56cloaking device.
- 31:57But real cloaking is bureaucracy.
- 32:00It's electromagnetic.
- 32:02You know, they can stop you from seeing
- 32:05it through collection jamming.
- 32:07I worked in a collection and jamming platform.
- 32:09So collection would be, we would listen to
- 32:11opposing, uh, you know, alleged enemies.
- 32:13We would listen to their traffic on the
- 32:15radio set of headphones.
- 32:17You listen to what they're saying.
- 32:18Jamming would be, we would prevent them from
- 32:21talking to each other by jamming their signal,
- 32:25overpowering their signal so much with this big
- 32:28buzz and it'd go like that seriously.
- 32:31And when we could push a button and
- 32:34leave it on, you know, walk away and
- 32:37fry their radios because they were that powerful.
- 32:41You know, there's a story at Fort hood
- 32:42of a way back when, when we were
- 32:45doing it and a Fort hood is outside
- 32:48of Killeen, Texas.
- 32:49And there's a story that allegedly was in
- 32:52our unit.
- 32:53Although I certainly don't recall it.
- 32:54I know we got chastised once or twice
- 32:57for it for the, because we had these
- 32:58big jammers that would, uh, that seriously, we
- 33:03had 20 times the power of a local
- 33:05radio station in a local radio.
- 33:07I mean, we blew them off the air,
- 33:10not, I mean, intentionally, not intentionally, whatever, but,
- 33:14but they, uh, they were gone and it
- 33:16would fry their transmitters.
- 33:18Now I don't know the, the actual stuff,
- 33:21but I do know that there were times
- 33:22when they would come down and say, are
- 33:24you guys jamming?
- 33:27Are you on the, because they would have
- 33:29frequency bleed and it would take out certainly
- 33:32the AMs and the FMs too.
- 33:34And I learned a little bit about how
- 33:35that worked and it was like, wow, these
- 33:38people, you know, just the fact that, you
- 33:40know, that, uh, there are straight line modulation
- 33:43and then there's up and down modulation.
- 33:45And I'm hell if I knew the difference,
- 33:47all I knew was if we pushed the
- 33:48button, we could knock people off the air.
- 33:52And so this technology stuff, you know, radar,
- 33:56it's still a big deal.
- 33:58Everybody wants their radar thing, but everybody is
- 34:01decoying camouflage, object detection, evasion systems.
- 34:06Um, but they don't have true invisibility yet.
- 34:09Uh, but you can make machines hesitate, misclassify,
- 34:14misread, not see the same.
- 34:17And so the, the radar NASA explains that
- 34:21synthetic aperture radar is designed to generate fine
- 34:25resolution imagery from radar while orbiting an industry
- 34:31emphasizes the practical consequence of this.
- 34:35Um, these systems, synthetic aperture radar, SAR work
- 34:40at night through the clouds, through the smoke,
- 34:43uh, sob discussing the satellite threat from a
- 34:47defense perspective, talks about camouflage solutions aimed at
- 34:52defeating SAR satellites.
- 34:54This tells you two things at once the
- 34:56threat is real, but nobody seriously believes a
- 35:00simple visual trick is enough anymore.
- 35:02They're trying to figure out how to jam
- 35:04a satellite.
- 35:05Okay.
- 35:06Now, allegedly there's going to be satellite warfare.
- 35:09I read an article a little bit, you
- 35:10know, you know, um, maybe, I don't know,
- 35:12within the last year I read this, that
- 35:15allegedly the, uh, the Russians and Chinese have
- 35:19laser, uh, style satellites that can fire a
- 35:26laser from orbit, either to hit another, uh,
- 35:30another satellite orbiting, take it out or to,
- 35:35uh, take out something on the ground with
- 35:38a laser.
- 35:39Now I've seen, and I don't, you don't
- 35:42know if it's, um, AI generated or what
- 35:46you really don't know that, but I've seen
- 35:50some drones that allegedly can destroy another drone
- 35:58or a piece of equipment with laser.
- 36:02And, uh, there, I saw some on, on
- 36:04YouTube or on telegram or something that were,
- 36:08that would fly up and in Ukraine, use
- 36:10this laser to hit something.
- 36:11Well, a laser correct me if I'm wrong.
- 36:15I'm no, I'm no technical guru when it
- 36:17comes to this, but if, if, if a
- 36:19laser is shot, that laser line continues forever,
- 36:24does it not?
- 36:25It may weaken over time, but if you're
- 36:28able to target something with a laser and
- 36:31you hit, hit the, the drone or whatever
- 36:37it is, you're taking out, wouldn't the laser
- 36:39continue after that?
- 36:42And, and, you know, you hit that.
- 36:45What, what if, what if that is, you
- 36:49know, a, a, what if there's a house
- 36:53behind the drone and, you know, there's a
- 36:55baby sleeping in a bed and your laser
- 36:58takes out the drone and then goes through
- 37:00the window or through the house.
- 37:02It's a laser burns a straight line.
- 37:04And there it goes.
- 37:05Like in the science fiction movies is that
- 37:07we're talking about.
- 37:08And what if I assume that in a
- 37:12straight line in space, that a laser is
- 37:14not going to go around the curvature of
- 37:17the earth.
- 37:17I would presume that it can't, that it's
- 37:20going to go straight forever.
- 37:21So would that laser then hit, uh, you
- 37:24know, another planet so far away, who knows?
- 37:27So I don't understand all those things about
- 37:29a laser technology, obviously, but, uh, I S
- 37:33I've seen some of this stuff out and
- 37:36technology is really getting us.
- 37:38So we cannot buy any hollow deck emitters
- 37:40that will hide our ranch house from orbit.
- 37:43We still can dig a huge underground, um,
- 37:46bunker that we can live in.
- 37:48Uh, but militaries and engineers are working on
- 37:51ways even now.
- 37:52And some of them already exist to confuse
- 37:54degrade or outsmart what satellites and, or the
- 37:59algorithms that run them can effectively see.
- 38:04So I'm, I'm, I don't know.
- 38:06I was just interested in this because of
- 38:08the, of the ability to, uh, block people
- 38:14from, you know, taking things we have increasingly
- 38:19sophisticated, immersive projection, holograph style display, and mixed
- 38:27reality.
- 38:28I mean, everybody's buying these glasses, you know,
- 38:30there was a pair of glasses.
- 38:31I forget what it's called.
- 38:33Uh, Google glasses, Google something.
- 38:36Maybe it wasn't Google, but there are these
- 38:38glasses that you can buy for 300 bucks
- 38:40and is, is the ones I saw.
- 38:44And, and who knows, I assume that the
- 38:46more money you spend, the better, but it
- 38:48is an AI pair of glasses.
- 38:52Now get this, the AI glasses, uh, one
- 38:56of the shows that they were not shows,
- 38:58one of the commercials they were having was
- 39:00that a guy with his Google glasses was
- 39:05riding a bicycle.
- 39:07And as he was riding his bicycle, and
- 39:09now imagine this, I like riding the Katie
- 39:11trail.
- 39:11I'm thinking of doing it this weekend, you
- 39:13know, going up and, and plugging away.
- 39:16I really want to buy a new bicycle
- 39:18and I might make the plunge.
- 39:20But, uh, anyway, uh, if this guy's riding
- 39:23his bicycle down a trail or, you know,
- 39:26and as he's going down the trail, the
- 39:32AI is identifying, for example, Oh, look at
- 39:37that tree on the left-hand side there.
- 39:39That's a, uh, an Elm tree, you know,
- 39:42and, and you can tell the distinctive lights.
- 39:45And this thing is giving you, as you
- 39:47go, uh, information, you know, if you listen
- 39:51to your AI on your, um, satellite, uh,
- 39:54radio anymore in your car, or, or you're
- 39:57using Google maps or whatever, uh, you will
- 40:00get police are reported up ahead.
- 40:02There's an object in the highway.
- 40:04There's a guy pulled over avoid this route,
- 40:06you know, go through all of these things.
- 40:08And those are instant access to information.
- 40:11And I always, it says, is the policeman
- 40:13still there?
- 40:14And, you know, click yes, or, you know,
- 40:15cause it's on your screen, right.
- 40:17And, uh, or no, he's gone, you know,
- 40:20click that, or there's an accident as it
- 40:22cleared out, you know, so people are having
- 40:24sort of real time, uh, data like this.
- 40:28And all of these things are no longer,
- 40:33well, first of all, they're no longer government.
- 40:35I mean, way back when, you know, Sam
- 40:37and his text messaging device in the, in
- 40:39the late eighties or mid eighties was, uh,
- 40:43you know, very novel and having the ability
- 40:47to do that, where it was more than
- 40:48just a phone number that was entered in
- 40:50or, uh, you know, beep, beep, beep.
- 40:53We didn't tell you what you had to
- 40:55just knew you had to call the person
- 40:57who sent you the beep, you know, before
- 41:00telephones and, uh, or check your messages, you
- 41:03don't call in and have your messenger, but
- 41:05now everybody's involved.
- 41:07So there's a place, you know, these virtual
- 41:11production environments where they're creating fake, I dunno,
- 41:15missiles and showing them all over the place.
- 41:18Um, and you fool the technology, or maybe
- 41:21you can fool the technology.
- 41:23It's, uh, you know, all these holographic style
- 41:26displays for 3d depth effects.
- 41:29There's something called hyper vision markets.
- 41:31I have a large format, 3d display system
- 41:34and a projection mapped immersive environment already routine
- 41:39in the entertainment industry.
- 41:40And that's not the USS enterprise, but it's
- 41:44the same human impulse, build a convincing synthetic
- 41:48environment and let people step inside of it.
- 41:51I've been having a, uh, uh, you know,
- 41:53there's a desire I have, but I haven't
- 41:55been able to pull the, pull the trigger.
- 41:57I might, because I still want, I still
- 41:59want one, you know, I'm, I'm going to
- 42:01build a sauna first, but I think I
- 42:04want, in fact, I know I want one
- 42:06of those Peloton, um, bicycles that has the
- 42:10huge screen on it.
- 42:11There was one that I used years ago
- 42:13on a regular basis in some, uh, uh,
- 42:16workout facility or other that you could pick
- 42:20a trail that the bike, uh, the tensions
- 42:22would adjust as you rode.
- 42:24And it was really pretty cool.
- 42:26So you could go on a bike ride
- 42:28without leaving your house.
- 42:30And, uh, you know, that's, I don't remember
- 42:32what they cost is six, 7,000 bucks.
- 42:34I think they've come down since then, but
- 42:37you know, uh, the equal, uh, equal, um,
- 42:41use of time and money was like, no,
- 42:45not, not 7,000.
- 42:46Would I spend 2,500?
- 42:48Maybe, but you know, that, that depends on
- 42:52how long it lasts, but that kind of
- 42:53crap never lasts or the technology is, you
- 42:57know, totally different in a couple of years
- 43:00and you no longer want it, you know?
- 43:01So I just still have my regular old
- 43:03exercise bike and that's it with nothing cool
- 43:06on it, but alleged, but you can also
- 43:08take your, uh, uh, screen on your tablet
- 43:11or your phone and create the same effect
- 43:14with that.
- 43:15And some of them connect to your, like
- 43:18you connect your iPad to your bicycle machine,
- 43:21you know, Schwinn makes a bunch of those
- 43:22and, uh, so do other people, but, um,
- 43:25I've researched them a little bit, but anyway,
- 43:27we're nowhere near a zoom, a scale of
- 43:31interactivity, anything like that to build a convincing
- 43:34synthetic environment that is totally real, that could
- 43:39generate full physical trails, detective stories, you know,
- 43:43like Shakespeare, remember on Star Trek when data
- 43:46fought, uh, uh, Professor Moriarty, that was a
- 43:50lot of fun.
- 43:51And, uh, but we are already in the
- 43:54world of synthetic, uh, presence.
- 43:57We are there where in the world of
- 43:59data and sexual robots, you know, we don't
- 44:03have data yet, you know, who's going to
- 44:05live, you know, but you wonder about these
- 44:07robots, these, uh, I want to go to
- 44:10China.
- 44:11I'm trying to get to India this year
- 44:12for the BRICS conference, um, coming up, it's
- 44:15in October.
- 44:16And, uh, I'm very much interested in that
- 44:19because, um, this is the third time that
- 44:22India has hosted the conference.
- 44:23Their web pages are looking pretty good.
- 44:25I'm going, trying to figure out the approval
- 44:27processes even now.
- 44:29And I've never been to India.
- 44:31I think next year it's in China and
- 44:33I, and I, and I'm, you know, looking
- 44:35forward to that, but, uh, I'm going to
- 44:38keep track of the BRICS.
- 44:39I'd never got to Brazil last year and
- 44:41it still pisses me off.
- 44:43There was, I forget what was going on,
- 44:44but it, but the timing was off family
- 44:47issue of some sort, but, uh, it, it
- 44:49was pain in the ass, but we have
- 44:51the first drafts robots are there, you know,
- 44:54there's, uh, you know, I don't know about
- 44:57wisdom.
- 44:58I don't know if day as the brains
- 45:01of data, but, uh, allegedly, uh, you know,
- 45:04men in China and Japan are buying these,
- 45:07uh, these, uh, female robots and avoiding the,
- 45:11uh, relationship altogether.
- 45:14You know, you just find yourself a woman
- 45:16and move on.
- 45:17And, uh, that's what they're doing.
- 45:20So who could tell?
- 45:21So the planet labs place, uh, the heavens
- 45:25are no longer fully open to the public
- 45:27because of wartime, um, Star Trek, you know,
- 45:30we got 50 years of science fiction that
- 45:33told us whoever controls the sensors and cloaking
- 45:36devices controls the battlefield.
- 45:38Right.
- 45:39So we knew that already because I served
- 45:42in that area of training and I, and
- 45:45I know about it, but today countries are
- 45:47building their own sovereign constellations of satellites because
- 45:54they don't depend or they won't can't, uh,
- 45:58you know, refuse to depend on Washington's goodwill
- 46:02any longer private firms are leaned on by
- 46:05the U S government and real cloaking race
- 46:08isn't fake.
- 46:11You know, it's not magic invisibility, but hiding
- 46:13from optical sensors from radar and from AI.
- 46:18So whether or not the future belongs to
- 46:20those who can see everything or those who
- 46:22can hide everything, or those who decide who
- 46:25gets to see everything or the things that
- 46:28they have hidden.
- 46:28Every one of these is, is a current
- 46:31report.
- 46:32You know, remember satellite imagery felt like, uh,
- 46:36only the CIA and a handful of people
- 46:39like me with the right clearance could see
- 46:41it.
- 46:42Well, that world is gone.
- 46:44Commercial companies have this guy, you know, for
- 46:48sale, you know, for, they're selling you this
- 46:52guy.
- 46:52Well, why do they own this guy?
- 46:54That's another, you know, why?
- 46:55Because they took the chance to harness the
- 46:59sky.
- 46:59We have people planning to go to the
- 47:01moon and harness the moon and steal all
- 47:02the crap up there before the rest of
- 47:04us get a chance.
- 47:05Well, maybe that's something we all need to
- 47:06be, uh, uh, you know, very, um, appreciative
- 47:10is of, but what the hell is it
- 47:13going to be a private company?
- 47:14Is it going to be some kind on
- 47:16behalf of the world or just on behalf
- 47:18of, uh, a few, it's always going to
- 47:21be just a few who have the most
- 47:23money.
- 47:25Let's see here.
- 47:28Well, let's see.
- 47:30I have a caller online.
- 47:31Would you have something to add?
- 47:35Hey, uh, yeah.
- 47:37Um, do you suppose the straight is open?
- 47:41No, that's it.
- 47:43It won't be open to any of the
- 47:45people, uh, bombing the crap out of, uh,
- 47:48Lebanon or, uh, Hezbollah like Israel.
- 47:55They're um, uh, still bombing, which they were
- 47:59yesterday.
- 47:59Uh, because yesterday right after the, um, the
- 48:03alleged ceasefire between the U S and Iran,
- 48:07Israel said, well, it doesn't count for us.
- 48:11Everybody anyway.
- 48:12And then all the other people in the
- 48:14area started bombing back and forth and, uh,
- 48:17everybody's still burning.
- 48:19So, uh, are we, I never took it
- 48:22seriously yesterday, but maybe maybe my thought on
- 48:27this is that maybe this is Donald Trump's
- 48:31exit and he can say, well, I tried,
- 48:34you know, and we're no longer involved in
- 48:36the U S is out.
- 48:37No, I don't believe that not yet, but
- 48:40if he's going to get out, it's the
- 48:42only reasonable way to get out would be
- 48:44to have all these allies and people and
- 48:46have the U S go, no, no, we're
- 48:48the reasonable ones.
- 48:49We stepped away and they still hate Iran.
- 48:51So they're still bombing them with our stuff.
- 48:53Just like Ukraine is bombing Russia with our
- 48:55stuff.
- 48:58Yeah.
- 48:59I don't, I don't understand how you can
- 49:00claim a victory when, uh, when, when everybody's
- 49:04still shooting, but us, well, but the worst
- 49:07part of it is, is, is not this.
- 49:08You, you, you, you start a war when
- 49:12the straight was already open, knowing that these
- 49:16people could close a straight, or if you
- 49:18didn't know you should have known.
- 49:20And then you say, yay, we opened the
- 49:22straight to whore moves.
- 49:23Woo.
- 49:24Aren't we great?
- 49:25No, you're not.
- 49:26You're a bunch of morons because it was
- 49:27already open until you started a war.
- 49:33Do you, have you ever, have you ever
- 49:35watched those?
- 49:36Uh, uh, I guess he's just a spokesman
- 49:39for the IRCG that, that, that real militant
- 49:42dude.
- 49:42Oh yeah.
- 49:43Yeah.
- 49:43They have, they have those translated into English
- 49:45and they're, they're pretty funny because every, every
- 49:48third sentence is a praise be to God.
- 49:51But, but you know what?
- 49:51I have met, um, Arabic people who do
- 49:55talk that way and they talk, you know,
- 49:58they, they not, not, they do praise God
- 50:02a lot.
- 50:02Let's put that.
- 50:03But I've met Americans who do the same
- 50:04thing.
- 50:04You know, every, every, every, you know, 10th
- 50:07sentence is something about, you know, God says
- 50:10this and you know, all of that.
- 50:11And I'm more power to them.
- 50:13You know, you have your beliefs, I have
- 50:14mine and I, and I would never dictate
- 50:16what yours should be, but I have watched
- 50:19that guy and, and, uh, he's, he's the
- 50:21head of the IRCG at this point, right?
- 50:25What I was going to say is, uh,
- 50:27he'll tell you exactly what they're going to
- 50:29do.
- 50:30Uh, uh, you know, you was talking about,
- 50:32you should know the straight's going to close.
- 50:34Uh, the, the, the man, the man spells
- 50:38out their game plan.
- 50:39Uh, he, you know, he says it's, it's
- 50:43starting in 24 hours if, if they keep,
- 50:45if they keep on and then, you know,
- 50:47then they start up there, they're on wave.
- 50:49It's day 40 or 41.
- 50:53And, uh, no, it's more than that.
- 50:54I forget the day here we are on,
- 50:56on day, um, on, on day because it
- 51:00was February 28th when it started.
- 51:02Well, whatever it is, doesn't matter.
- 51:04It's, uh, here's the day and here's what
- 51:06we're sending out.
- 51:07Yeah.
- 51:07Uh, anyway, uh, they, uh, when the treaty
- 51:13was supposed to, or the ceasefire was supposed
- 51:16to be happening, uh, they, they were on
- 51:19wave 100 and they, and they, uh, they
- 51:22hit that, uh, Saudi Arabia facility.
- 51:25They hit 13, uh, oil oil facilities in,
- 51:30in, in the area.
- 51:31They, they, they went to, they'd been threatening,
- 51:35uh, going to hit oil infrastructure and, uh,
- 51:38and they did.
- 51:40Yeah, I know.
- 51:40And, and, and they, they keep telling them,
- 51:43um, they say they're doing it so that
- 51:46get your civilians, get your workers, get out
- 51:49of this factory because we are coming.
- 51:52And they're pretty, they're pretty standard about it.
- 51:54And they say what they're doing.
- 51:56And frankly, nobody can stop them.
- 51:58They've, they've, they've, they've gone after our, if
- 52:02anything.
- 52:02And, and I've always been, you know, a
- 52:04Patriot.
- 52:05I believe in America.
- 52:06I believe in all that stuff.
- 52:07Um, I also believe the lies, um, like
- 52:10everybody else did that our Patriots and our
- 52:14air defense are superior to anyone else's and
- 52:18can stop all of these missiles.
- 52:20They can't anymore.
- 52:22And when you're spending a million five or
- 52:25whatever it is to fire a Patriot at
- 52:27a 10, $5,000 drones, you got a
- 52:32million and a half versus, uh, you know,
- 52:3450,000, who the hell's going to win
- 52:36and, and which one does the Patriot missile
- 52:40have to pick out to blow up.
- 52:42And so just the sheer volume of these
- 52:45are defeating this so called iron dome.
- 52:48All of these are the things, the technology
- 52:50doesn't exist to stop them all.
- 52:53You may get a majority of them, but
- 52:55there's the numbers that I've been following since
- 52:58the Ukraine war star well started in earnest
- 53:02in 2022, where they were, they were actually
- 53:05Russia defending the people that Ukraine's been bombing
- 53:08since 2014.
- 53:10They, um, those I've been following and it's
- 53:14about eight to 10% of all missiles,
- 53:18all drones that if not more, but at
- 53:22least that many go through.
- 53:24And every day Russia is firing 2000.
- 53:27So 20 of them are getting through every
- 53:29day.
- 53:30I'm sorry, 200.
- 53:31And every day, uh, Ukraine is firing back
- 53:34150, 200 themselves.
- 53:36And it's just your air defense can't keep
- 53:40up with it.
- 53:41You just can't.
- 53:44Well, uh, with, with your, um, talk about
- 53:49the radar and the deception and stuff of,
- 53:52um, it's crazy.
- 53:55How, how's anybody going to trust our leader?
- 53:57When, when they're on there saying, oh, we
- 53:59got them pretty much wrapped up and, um,
- 54:02Haifa, they pretty much left the people of
- 54:05Haifa on their own.
- 54:07Yeah, I know.
- 54:07And I've seen all of those and, and
- 54:10don't accuse me of trust in our government.
- 54:13I do not.
- 54:14And I don't believe, I believe maybe just
- 54:19like the drones, I believe about 10%
- 54:21of what is being put out about the
- 54:23middle East right now.
- 54:25I wouldn't want to be there right now,
- 54:27but I'm telling you, I don't believe it.
- 54:30Do I, what do you think is a
- 54:32good policy?
- 54:32Do you think it's good policy for our
- 54:34president and the war secretary to come on
- 54:37the air and go, oh yeah, we're, we're,
- 54:40we're killing them when, when, when people are
- 54:42going to find out, you know, like you,
- 54:45like you said about that botched mission for
- 54:48the uranium, you know, there's a lot of
- 54:50people saying that, that, that, uh, um, that
- 54:56weapons systems officer, um, made it a hundred
- 55:00miles, all fucked up through the desert and
- 55:05climbed the mountain in a day.
- 55:08Right.
- 55:10Yeah.
- 55:11I can go a hundred miles in a
- 55:12day on my bicycle, but, uh, uh, you
- 55:15know, the rest of it, I doubt I'm
- 55:18riding a bicycle through the mountains of Iran.
- 55:20Let's put it that way.
- 55:22Well, they need to tell better stories.
- 55:24I mean, it's embarrassing that they come out
- 55:26and say, oh, we're smoking them.
- 55:28It's like, man, get a damn TV dude.
- 55:31You know, uh, uh, J.R. believes I
- 55:34tried to call him yesterday and he wouldn't
- 55:36take a phone call because he knew I
- 55:38was going to tell him that.
- 55:39Yeah.
- 55:39But, but, but, but Jim, you bring some
- 55:41of that upon yourself though.
- 55:43And, uh, uh, and, and I will, you
- 55:45know, you, you remain calm, remain nice and
- 55:47don't beat up on everybody and call them,
- 55:50you know, be offensive.
- 55:53I'll keep talking to you.
- 55:54No problem.
- 55:56And, you know, if you, if you took
- 55:58that approach more than just getting on and
- 56:00calling everybody stupid, you know, that, and I'm
- 56:03not saying you do that anymore, but you're
- 56:04not, you know, I, I don't, I don't
- 56:06always take your call.
- 56:08You know that.
- 56:11Yeah.
- 56:11Well, I, I just think it's, it's a,
- 56:14that's one thing for him to, I mean,
- 56:17well, I think he's wrong too.
- 56:18He and I argue about it all the
- 56:19time.
- 56:20He, J.R. and I argue about this.
- 56:22I enjoy arguing with J.R. about this
- 56:24because he is, he is solid.
- 56:26He believes it all.
- 56:27I don't, I don't believe 10% of
- 56:29it.
- 56:29You know, most of it is just crap.
- 56:31He doesn't believe it all either.
- 56:32Or he would have looked it up yesterday
- 56:33when I...
- 56:35Well, he doesn't believe it all anyway.
- 56:38I've exaggerated that a little bit, but he,
- 56:40he, he leans toward belief and, and believes
- 56:44towards a larger picture that someone is in
- 56:48charge of and keeping track of.
- 56:49I do not.
- 56:50I think it's the blind leading the blind,
- 56:53especially in Iran.
- 56:55That's what I, you know, in the war,
- 56:57you know, whatever they're doing there.
- 56:58And they made some huge mistakes in the
- 57:00very beginning.
- 57:01I believe along the lines of multiple professional,
- 57:06political and very world savvy people.
- 57:10I don't, I don't believe the so-called
- 57:13experts in the Pentagon because I've been there.
- 57:16Those people say what they're paid to say.
- 57:19They justify anything.
- 57:20So because they get paid to justify it.
- 57:23I can hire an expert to say anything.
- 57:25I've done it as a lawyer.
- 57:27You can, you could, if I need an
- 57:29expert to say that you were injured because
- 57:31mom dropped you on your head when you
- 57:33were two, then I'll find an expert to
- 57:36say, yeah, that's pretty likely.
- 57:37Or I'll find another one and say, ah,
- 57:39no, no, no.
- 57:39That was something else that would never happen
- 57:41because of that.
- 57:42And then you have the war of the
- 57:43experts.
- 57:43It's the exact same damn thing in the
- 57:45Pentagon.
- 57:45They just pay people to say what they
- 57:47want them to say so that they can
- 57:48tell the public that this is what, what
- 57:50it is.
- 57:50And it's all bullshit.
- 57:51It's not right.
- 57:53Well, they tried to, tried to purge the
- 57:55experts.
- 57:56Pretty much.
- 57:56It's all Fox hosts now, but they're not
- 57:59experts anyway.
- 58:00If they're, if they're paid for their opinion,
- 58:03then they can, they cannot be, I mean,
- 58:08they can, they have to, you have to
- 58:09get somebody who has the education to say
- 58:12something.
- 58:12The problem is the people that they're relying
- 58:15on do not have that background and they
- 58:18do not understand the world except from a
- 58:21transactional sphere.
- 58:24And fine, I wouldn't want to go against
- 58:26them in a, in a, in a meeting
- 58:28to buy a power plant, but in a
- 58:30meeting to sit or, or to build a
- 58:33building, but to sit down with these yahoos
- 58:35and try to negotiate the terms of a,
- 58:37of an agreement between Iraq, between Iran, between
- 58:42Israel, anybody pick it Ukraine and Russia.
- 58:45These people are morons.
- 58:47We've seen who's been running this and it's
- 58:49all the stupidest people that have no idea
- 58:53what they are talking about, including the Lindsey
- 58:56Graham's of the world who are so twisted
- 58:58that all they are is selling more and
- 59:03more weapons and more and more war and,
- 59:05you know, might makes right.
- 59:07That's it.
- 59:09It's a bad world we live in.
- 59:11Let me get one more in.
- 59:14What do you think about a state university?
- 59:18When I listen to all these shows, people
- 59:19go, Oh, you don't know who to trust.
- 59:21You can't trust them.
- 59:22You can't trust medicine.
- 59:23You can't trust science.
- 59:25Wouldn't it be nice to have a state,
- 59:27state run universities where, where you had, had
- 59:30research labs and kids that were smart enough
- 59:34to know a little bit about something.
- 59:37Everything's politicized when you do that now.
- 59:39And by the way, so, so one of
- 59:41the things that I would have loved to
- 59:44do, and Russia has one, I've talked about
- 59:47it on this show before.
- 59:48They have a politically guided, and it's all
- 59:53about politics and it's all about the whole
- 59:55school is the school of international affairs.
- 59:59And we have similar programs like, you know,
- 1:00:03I could name some, you know, whatever Institute
- 1:00:05inside the university of whatever inside Harvard university
- 1:00:09has an international program or whatever.
- 1:00:11And you can find these, but these are
- 1:00:13sponsored by the government.
- 1:00:17Well, right.
- 1:00:18They're all lunatics.
- 1:00:19They all depend in the people who run
- 1:00:21them are guided by the exact same thing.
- 1:00:25They have to have the right philosophy or
- 1:00:27the board of curators of whatever university will
- 1:00:30boot them out and go, Nope, you're teaching.
- 1:00:33You're not teaching, you know, gay rights.
- 1:00:35You got to go or vice versa.
- 1:00:38If you have 50 States, you have 50
- 1:00:40different 50 different universities.
- 1:00:45Well, you know what?
- 1:00:46I'm not a federalist.
- 1:00:48I like this state part, except when it
- 1:00:50comes to education, history, to licensing.
- 1:00:54In fact, I believe that licensing in just
- 1:00:57a state, like if you go to Russia,
- 1:00:58Russia is a lot bigger than us.
- 1:01:00And you get a license to, I don't
- 1:01:02know, sell fertilizer that license.
- 1:01:05You can sell fertilizer anywhere inside of Russia
- 1:01:07here in America, your fertilizer, you can sell
- 1:01:10it only in the making that one up,
- 1:01:12you know, I don't, but I'm just picking
- 1:01:13a license.
- 1:01:15You can like, I have to be a
- 1:01:16real estate broker.
- 1:01:19I'm a broker in Missouri and I'm a
- 1:01:21broker in Florida.
- 1:01:22Why if I'm a property broker, why can't
- 1:01:25I do it?
- 1:01:26Do you know what I did in law
- 1:01:27school?
- 1:01:27I took a class on property and, and
- 1:01:29I understand the issues in property because of,
- 1:01:34uh, I had a law license.
- 1:01:35Now the trouble is you can only get
- 1:01:38a law license in one state in Missouri
- 1:01:40right now is, is refusing.
- 1:01:42And now I can't get a license in
- 1:01:44any other state because Missouri screwed me, but
- 1:01:47that doesn't mean I can go to another
- 1:01:49state and get one.
- 1:01:50And that's crazy.
- 1:01:52It makes no sense to me at all
- 1:01:54because here they're corrupt.
- 1:01:56They're wrong.
- 1:01:57Then they have a system that is backwards
- 1:01:58and screwed up.
- 1:01:59And I talk about it all the time
- 1:02:01and it, but I'm, but I'm right.
- 1:02:04But then why can't I go somewhere else
- 1:02:07and, uh, and get a license?
- 1:02:09It's complete crap because I have a couple
- 1:02:11of bureaucrats who hate me.
- 1:02:13That's it.
- 1:02:14You're echoing in your, in your thing here.
- 1:02:17All right, ma'am.
- 1:02:18I appreciate your time.
- 1:02:19I'm gonna let you go.
- 1:02:19You're on that.
- 1:02:20I'm on a roll, huh?
- 1:02:22Yep.
- 1:02:22Yep.
- 1:02:23Yep.
- 1:02:23I'll see you later.
- 1:02:25All right.
- 1:02:26Well, that was a nice caller.
- 1:02:27Thank you for being kind and, uh, uh,
- 1:02:30and not just beating up on people.
- 1:02:31I like that.
- 1:02:32So I will, I will take your calls
- 1:02:34more often if you like.
- 1:02:37Well, Star Trek gave us cloaking devices.
- 1:02:41Washington gives us delayed imagery, release a customer
- 1:02:45service email, you know, to complain, you know,
- 1:02:47if you'd like to, to, uh, whoever, you
- 1:02:50know, the CIA, whoever you want to playing
- 1:02:53field is level only until it gets serious
- 1:02:56until we want to steal your oil.
- 1:03:00We're going to Iran.
- 1:03:01We're going to steal your oil.
- 1:03:02Uh, Trump's going to take over the Straits
- 1:03:04of Hormuz and call it the Straits of
- 1:03:06Trump, but they'll spell it with a G
- 1:03:08and an H, which is crazy.
- 1:03:10And, uh, uh, you know, you know, you
- 1:03:13can't hide your cousin in the shed in
- 1:03:15orbit, uh, you know, with a holographic projector,
- 1:03:18you know, from, from, uh, Amazon or Timu,
- 1:03:21you can't do that, unfortunately.
- 1:03:24So, uh, you know, and even if he
- 1:03:26does hide in your shed, they're going to
- 1:03:28see him from above anyway, because they have,
- 1:03:31uh, heat sensors and they can show that
- 1:03:33your cousin is in there.
- 1:03:34Well, not exactly your cousin, but pretty soon
- 1:03:37we'll have, uh, chips in this that can
- 1:03:39identify where we are on the planet anyway.
- 1:03:42Right.
- 1:03:43So the holodeck doesn't exist yet, but you
- 1:03:47can buy a pair of glasses that you
- 1:03:48can pretend that you, you know, you'd see
- 1:03:50those, those videos you can watch on YouTube
- 1:03:53or wherever on telegram.
- 1:03:55And you can see these people, you know,
- 1:03:57the start of boxing.
- 1:03:58You remember getting the, the boxing thing with
- 1:04:01your Wii way back when, and you were
- 1:04:03doing boxing with these people beating up their
- 1:04:06TV with these glasses on because they don't
- 1:04:09know where they are because the glasses lead
- 1:04:11them, lead them astray and they're lit.
- 1:04:14That's where they live.
- 1:04:15And, um, I don't know.
- 1:04:17Um, I'm not sure I want to go
- 1:04:20too far into the Israel and Iran and
- 1:04:22the air defense and the Straits of Hormuz
- 1:04:24because, um, it's what they're doing on these
- 1:04:32satellites and AI detection and everything like that.
- 1:04:34You know, I told you about the, uh,
- 1:04:36the, the submarines underneath the, um, the mini
- 1:04:40subs that I ran has and whatever number
- 1:04:42it was, 10, 20 of them.
- 1:04:44Can't remember.
- 1:04:44Wasn't a huge amount, but, uh, those aren't
- 1:04:47gone.
- 1:04:48Apparently they can't be tracked.
- 1:04:49And so those little mini subs are still
- 1:04:51cruising around in the Straits of Hormuz, uh,
- 1:04:54and they're, they're mine layers.
- 1:04:56They can lay these mines.
- 1:04:58And so if they have a map of
- 1:05:00where they are, then, you know, and people
- 1:05:03find out where the, those are, you know,
- 1:05:05uh, I'm, I'm interested in these intelligent sorts
- 1:05:09of things and how they hide stuff and
- 1:05:11where I still would prefer a level playing
- 1:05:13field.
- 1:05:14I'm anti-war in general.
- 1:05:16This is all a bunch of, you know,
- 1:05:17you realize the people dying, aren't the people
- 1:05:21that should be people dying, ought to be
- 1:05:23the ones declaring war in the first place.
- 1:05:25Those are the people that ought to be
- 1:05:27there.
- 1:05:27If you want to fight, do it yourself.
- 1:05:30You know, quit sending other people to die
- 1:05:32for your false ideology crap.
- 1:05:36You know, democracy, we got to put democracy
- 1:05:39on my ass and we don't have democracy.
- 1:05:41We have bureaucracy.
- 1:05:43That's what we have.
- 1:05:44And so it's, it's, uh, uh, irritating to
- 1:05:48me, but that was pretty much, uh, where,
- 1:05:52where I wanted to go with that was,
- 1:05:53I thought that was a fun topic.
- 1:05:55Uh, when I woke up in the middle
- 1:05:57of the night, I was looking at something
- 1:05:58like one of these restrictive things going, when
- 1:06:01the hell's in charge of that?
- 1:06:03This is nuts.
- 1:06:04How come, how come Elon Musk gets to
- 1:06:07decide that I get internet or I don't.
- 1:06:10And if Trump says, no, you're not going
- 1:06:12to get it, but he'll give it to
- 1:06:13Ukraine who are a bunch of, you know,
- 1:06:15uh, they're murderous of Russians.
- 1:06:18Well, what's, what difference does it make if
- 1:06:20you're going to murder people, have a, have
- 1:06:21a, have a level playing field, you know,
- 1:06:23let everybody murder each other.
- 1:06:25You know, you make it fair killing at
- 1:06:28least let's have a fair killing, fair war,
- 1:06:32right?
- 1:06:33That's what the, uh, uh, Geneva convention is
- 1:06:35supposed to give, you know, war crimes include
- 1:06:38blowing up infrastructure and bridges for the just
- 1:06:41to blow up infrastructure and bridges, blowing up
- 1:06:44salinization plants, blowing up or desalinization and blowing
- 1:06:49up, uh, uh, oil fields, blowing up, um,
- 1:06:53picket energy facilities.
- 1:06:55So the people who are going to blast
- 1:06:57you back in the stone age, that is
- 1:06:59a war crime.
- 1:07:00That's what we're going to do.
- 1:07:02And we just flat out say it.
- 1:07:05And, and it doesn't, you know, like my
- 1:07:07New Benzia discussion yesterday, we're openly saying, we're
- 1:07:11going to destroy a culture.
- 1:07:13We're going to destroy it.
- 1:07:15We don't like your culture.
- 1:07:17Therefore we're going to destroy it.
- 1:07:19But the other part of the culture, you
- 1:07:21know, who, who, uh, you know, do what
- 1:07:26we say, kiss our rear ends in the
- 1:07:28middle East.
- 1:07:28Those people, you know, we'll decide that their
- 1:07:31culture, which is basically the same as your
- 1:07:33culture, that's a religion.
- 1:07:36Yours is not a religion nonsense.
- 1:07:39And, uh, uh, and by the way, that
- 1:07:41there's a dispute on that as well.
- 1:07:43You think there aren't extremists on all sides.
- 1:07:45They're just are, they're Christian extremists.
- 1:07:48You know, I disagree with poly polygamy.
- 1:07:51I disagree with it.
- 1:07:52However, I'd never tell anybody that they were,
- 1:07:55that was their, uh, desire.
- 1:07:57I mean, I'm totally against it.
- 1:07:59I think it's BS.
- 1:08:00Hell, I could barely put up with one,
- 1:08:02uh, let alone a million of them or
- 1:08:06a pile of them had, uh, I'd tell
- 1:08:08you a story about that, but I won't,
- 1:08:09um, cause something interesting on that regard happened
- 1:08:12whilst I was in Qatar.
- 1:08:14And, uh, it was a very interesting period
- 1:08:18of time, uh, working with that gentleman.
- 1:08:21Now I have to tell you, no, it
- 1:08:23had to do with polygamy and getting another
- 1:08:25wife and what, uh, what, what, uh, they
- 1:08:28were going to do in the political ramifications
- 1:08:31thereof inside of Qatar and stuff like that.
- 1:08:33It was entertaining, uh, if nothing else and
- 1:08:36a good learning experience, but not for sharing
- 1:08:39on a mass level, except, uh, you know,
- 1:08:41that's what it was.
- 1:08:42So I wanted to also, you know, talk
- 1:08:47a little bit about this, um, alleged pause
- 1:08:52in, um, warfare.
- 1:08:59Yeah, right.
- 1:09:02Let's see the rhetoric of Donald Trump who
- 1:09:07threatens a whole civilization is going to die
- 1:09:10tonight is suddenly de-escalate, de-escalation.
- 1:09:15By the end of the seventh, it was
- 1:09:17announced that the U S and Iran had
- 1:09:19agreed to a two week ceasefire.
- 1:09:22Shortly afterward, Israel said it would join over
- 1:09:26those two weeks starting this Friday negotiations toward
- 1:09:30a permanent peace deal deal will be held
- 1:09:33in Pakistan with her held.
- 1:09:35I'm sorry, with Pakistan acting as the mediator.
- 1:09:39This is exactly the scenario that, you know,
- 1:09:44was listed as being the most likely from
- 1:09:46the very beginning of the conflict.
- 1:09:50And this was, uh, grinding stalemate strategic failure
- 1:09:57that, you know, the strategy mirrors America's earlier
- 1:10:01operation in Venezuela, eliminate the country's leadership.
- 1:10:05Uh, there it was through theft, uh, stealing
- 1:10:09abduction of the leader or direct assassination in
- 1:10:13Iran, you know, and then effectively the surrender
- 1:10:16of the new regime, which is forced to
- 1:10:18accept terms set by the attackers.
- 1:10:20So it's uncertain how long Iran could hold
- 1:10:24out, but the plan failed despite the hints,
- 1:10:27Washington's new leadership also refused to engage in
- 1:10:30negotiation.
- 1:10:32Iran withstood the initial blow.
- 1:10:35Uh, they have external support from China and
- 1:10:38Russia.
- 1:10:38There've been no public statements, uh, but it,
- 1:10:41something is happening.
- 1:10:43Um, so those things all did occur and,
- 1:10:49but the war will resume hell.
- 1:10:51It already has, you know, it didn't last
- 1:10:53two hours, the ceasefire, but they are moving
- 1:10:57toward a reality where the Gulf is becoming
- 1:11:00a more Persian.
- 1:11:03Uh, Iran effectively controls the shipping in the
- 1:11:06Gulf and holds the Arab oil monarchies at
- 1:11:10risk.
- 1:11:11And the U S seems to be accepting
- 1:11:13that.
- 1:11:13Now, the people who are not are the
- 1:11:15UAE and stuff are certainly not Israel because
- 1:11:18they won't let it stop.
- 1:11:20Let's assume that even if the hostilities last
- 1:11:23months or years, even if no formal deal
- 1:11:27materializes, the ceasefire will just be extended over
- 1:11:31and over again.
- 1:11:32I talked to you before about ceasefires are
- 1:11:34complete crap anyway.
- 1:11:36And, uh, um, it's just, it never ends
- 1:11:45and it will never end.
- 1:11:47Even if it does end, they're going to,
- 1:11:49uh, um, have it, um, let's say it
- 1:11:55does end.
- 1:11:56It'll be, they'll wait another year and do
- 1:11:58the exact same thing.
- 1:11:59This is what's going to happen.
- 1:12:01So the Arab States are going to be
- 1:12:03building a new generation of air defense for
- 1:12:05sure.
- 1:12:06And so the blueprint is rely on cheap
- 1:12:08mass produced interceptors such as Russia's panzer or
- 1:12:13air launched both Arab States and Israel will
- 1:12:16focus on this because they got the crap
- 1:12:18kicked out of them by Iranian missiles.
- 1:12:21Um, the second priority is going to be
- 1:12:23diversification of logistics, new pipelines to the red
- 1:12:27sea to find alternatives to the Gulf shipping
- 1:12:29routes to goal, break free of the Straits
- 1:12:32of Hormuz chokehold and reduce Iran's leverage.
- 1:12:36So for countries like Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq,
- 1:12:41pipelines across the Arabian peninsula would mean dependence
- 1:12:45on another regional power, Saudi Arabia and transit
- 1:12:49fees because Saudi Arabia certainly wouldn't do it
- 1:12:53for free.
- 1:12:54Right.
- 1:12:54But none of this solves the core problem.
- 1:12:56The geography in the Gulf makes full protection
- 1:12:59impossible.
- 1:13:00There's more than 500 nautical miles, uh, out
- 1:13:03of an old, you know, think about it.
- 1:13:07It's narrow.
- 1:13:07It's like an old arcade game.
- 1:13:09Imagine Galaga, every shipping lane within Iran's reach
- 1:13:14along the coastline ports, factories, desalination plants, oil
- 1:13:18storage facilities, data centers, hotels, skyscrapers are exposed
- 1:13:22targets.
- 1:13:23Defending all of that from the sea is
- 1:13:25extremely difficult.
- 1:13:26And right now the Arab States are going
- 1:13:28to choose to pay for safe passage.
- 1:13:31So at the end of the day, they
- 1:13:32don't really care who provides the security they
- 1:13:35used to pay the U S I mean,
- 1:13:37what difference does it make if they pay
- 1:13:39our rent that they're paying the U S
- 1:13:41to secure them.
- 1:13:42Right.
- 1:13:43But the U S isn't securing them.
- 1:13:45Right.
- 1:13:46These are things to think about.
- 1:13:47The price isn't even steep about 2 million
- 1:13:50bucks per super tanker, which is only two
- 1:13:52to 3% of the value of the
- 1:13:54oil on board.
- 1:13:56Anyway, the buyers who are buying it are
- 1:13:58going to be the ones who fit the
- 1:13:59foot, the bill in the first place.
- 1:14:01So I don't know the second scenario, new
- 1:14:05escalation it's already happening or low level clashes
- 1:14:08under Iranian control of Hormuz.
- 1:14:11You'll still have those, I think.
- 1:14:13And we may go further into that.
- 1:14:17So we shall see.
- 1:14:19I hope you've enjoyed the show.
- 1:14:21It's a little short today, but that's all
- 1:14:22right.
