• 0:35
  None. What's up everybody?
• 0:44
Afternoon TV, Thursday afternoon TV with a live stream, 2 live
• 0:49
streams today. I don't know if you caught me
• 0:51
late last night talking about Metallica at the Sphere.
• 0:54
And now, now we're going to do a little deep dive review of the
• 1:01
new Rob Zombie album. I thought you guys would
• 1:03
appreciate it. I've been just trying to think
• 1:06
lately about how to bring value to you guys who watch the
• 1:09
channel and new Subs and everything and we're really
• 1:12
looking to build a community. You can hear me talk about that
• 1:14
more later on. But really and truly, what do we
• 1:20
have? Long time journalism, very well
• 1:22
respected. We do a lot of interviews with
• 1:25
bands and we are lucky rocker stalkers here.
• 1:28
What's up agent? We get albums early to review.
• 1:32
And so you know, something I can share with all of y'all is my
• 1:37
take on an album before it comes out, in case you're curious
• 1:40
about it. Think it's going to suck a rule
• 1:42
if you want to buy it, all that jazz.
• 1:44
So that's what we do. That's kind of a lot of what we
• 1:48
do. I made a little deck here to
• 1:50
help me out. So we're going to do that and do
• 1:53
the damn thing, see if we can get it to work.
• 1:57
Hey yo, so Rob Zombie's The Great Satan comes out tomorrow
• 2:02
of the do a little housekeeping first, just in case you all are
• 2:06
  curious. It's a banger, but that's a very
• 2:10
two sentence review. But it's it's a lot more than
• 2:14
just that. So let's talk a little bit about
• 2:16
  it. Transmaritos is here.
• 2:18
Sky remote has passed by. What up?
• 2:20
What up what up? Good to see you again for a
• 2:23
  little bit of light housekeeping.
• 2:25
Today has been a day. Let me tell you.
• 2:30
Rubber band man is here. We were just texting.
• 2:31
What's up Adam? Anybody else just consider DMS
• 2:37
also texts? I don't know, It's kind of all
• 2:40
the same. So we're a little bit of
• 2:43
housekeeping. Normally we do our live stream
• 2:46
every Thursday. Today we're doing 2.
• 2:49
I did one late last night also right before it was today, time
• 2:54
  travel. Still tuning in.
• 2:57
  Appreciate you, brother, appreciate you.
• 3:00
So Yep, we talked about Metallica at the Sphere and if
• 3:05
you can afford it, I know Gabe, Gabe is here, Auntie Mazdis on
• 3:09
YouTube. I know how much of A Rob fan you
• 3:12
are. This is probably something you
• 3:13
want to check out, you want to know about these things.
• 3:18
So yeah, let's do that. So go to, when you're done, go
• 3:23
check out our thing. Can you afford to go see
• 3:25
Metallica at the Sphere? I'm going to figure that out
• 3:27
this weekend. Thanks for sharing, Torres
• 3:30
  Muertos. Always appreciated, brother.
• 3:34
I'll be back in about two hours or less with my regular show.
• 3:37
We're going to talk about all the things.
• 3:39
Here's the graphic already made. Pontificating, pondering Kefi.
• 3:47
Yeah, absolutely. And then again, if you're
• 3:51
feeling tipsy, not our real ones and our everydayers.
• 3:54
But, you know, we do have some money and revenue from
• 3:57
advertising. But of course, we operate and
• 4:01
live on tips. Tips help me buy records.
• 4:03
Tips help us pay bills. Honestly, all the Super chats
• 4:07
and super likes go back into the company EEE in my head.
• 4:14
But here's the tip menu in case you're feeling tipsy.
• 4:18
I appreciate it if you do. If not, that's fine.
• 4:21
I'll probably share at least one more thing on here.
• 4:23
And again, I will be back a little later.
• 4:25
This is going to be a short but technically deep review.
• 4:31
Again, appreciate you Tres, appreciate you.
• 4:35
Much appreciated. Koienes Katsi is here.
• 4:40
  What's up? What's up?
• 4:42
Hope I said that correctly. So there's our tip menu, there's
• 4:45
our cash app. Let's talk about Rob Zombie,
• 4:47
man, Rob Zombie has been pretty, you know, not maybe the most
• 4:53
prolific guy and obviously a lot of people, you know, the
• 4:56
Internet is full of memes and you know, Ramba lamb, Dang
• 4:59
Godzilla, goddamn Frankenstein, man, I'm a jam Bamba lamb.
• 5:04
Like that shit's not untrue. I think there is probably like a
• 5:07
little bit of, you know, an idea that Rob maybe not mailed it in
• 5:12
after White Zombie, but you know, he hasn't done a lot of
• 5:15
experimenting. I think Educated Horses is his
• 5:18
one record that is really considered the experimental one
• 5:22
that's the most like soundtrack music.
• 5:25
You know, we're going to talk about his longevity.
• 5:27
He's only got 8 full length albums in his 4140 ish year
• 5:31
career, but still some of the most bangerfic albums of all
• 5:37
time. And again, I know that people
• 5:39
kind of associate Rob most closely with the horror genre
• 5:42
and his movies, but also his live show and that maybe the
• 5:45
records don't hold up. And I'll be honest, I haven't
• 5:48
really listened to Rob Zombie record more than twice since
• 5:53
  Educated Horses are sinister Urge.
• 5:55
So that's a long time ago where it like some of them I liked.
• 5:58
I like the electric kool-aid acid, whatever the fuck
• 6:01
everybody's fucking in the UFO album.
• 6:04
But you know, maybe some of his stuff seems one note and
• 6:08
repetitive to some of you, but some people love him and you
• 6:11
know, we're going to talk about why.
• 6:13
And you know, we've been very fortunate to cover Rob Zombie a
• 6:16
lot. Never got to interview him.
• 6:17
Met him briefly once, which is a pretty quick and fun exchange at
• 6:21
an Oz fest. I think it was the Oz Fest for
• 6:25
educated horses where he went out with no show just like jeans
• 6:28
in a T-shirt and was like we can be a band, which was
• 6:32
interesting. And I think he had just had John
• 6:35
Five in the band at that time or maybe right before that, which
• 6:39
was a super interesting time for him.
• 6:42
But yeah, man, you know, he puts on a great show.
• 6:45
We've covered him a lot. We know he's got a lot of stuff
• 6:47
going on this year, big tour, Marilyn Manson, Universal,
• 6:51
  probably Halloween Horror Nights again.
• 6:55
Let's just talk about the album. This is the first record without
• 6:58
John 5 in a long time. And I'm always the person that
• 7:01
says John 5 is always the most underutilized guy in any
• 7:04
project. That's not his own solo
• 7:07
endeavor, right? He was in Manson for a long
• 7:09
time. Didn't seem like he did a lot
• 7:11
for that music play some great solos, interpreted the
• 7:15
historical music well, Texas radio and the big the big yeah
• 7:21
man, you know. And so this is the first record
• 7:24
without Piggy D, who he released from the band a couple of years
• 7:27
ago and now and has Riggs back who's been in the band now for
• 7:31
like 3 more years. I actually saw one of Riggs's
• 7:34
first shows back with the band when John 5, you know, switched
• 7:38
teams basically like a sports trade to go to crew Mötley Crüe.
• 7:42
And I don't know how much he's bringing to the table there.
• 7:44
Supposedly has written new music with them.
• 7:45
I don't remember hearing it, but so the new album features Rob
• 7:50
obviously on vocals and usually production and some songwriting.
• 7:54
Mike Riggs on guitar. We'll talk about him in a
• 7:56
second. Our dude Rob Blasco Nicholson on
• 7:59
bass, formerly of Ozzy Osbourne's band.
• 8:02
And I think Riggs was at back to the beginning last summer.
• 8:07
I don't know if you know, he's also in management.
• 8:09
He also Co owns Liquid Death Spring and seltzer waters and
• 8:13
energy drinks and stuff. What's the secret word?
• 8:16
The secret words is Teetsy fly. It's always the secret word.
• 8:20
That's an Entourage reference for you HBO fans and Jeremy
• 8:24
Piven fans. But and Ginger Fish, of course.
• 8:27
He's been the drummer there probably for about 15 years.
• 8:30
So he's the current longest serving unbroken member of the
• 8:33
band. I think as long as Ginger and
• 8:35
Rob are happy with each other, he will stay in the band.
• 8:37
He's, from what I understand, sober, and every time I've seen
• 8:41
Rob with Ginger, at least you can guarantee he can rock those
• 8:45
drums. But I'm super interested about
• 8:47
Rigs being back in particular. We'll talk about why and then as
• 8:50
always, I like to do a little Rob Zombie by the numbers or
• 8:53
artist by the number. So 40 years in music in 2026.
• 8:56
He might have had some attempts at a band before that, 10 years
• 9:00
only with White Zombie and 30 as a solo artist.
• 9:04
So he had, I think this is the Great Satan is Rob's eighth full
• 9:11
length album. I think with White Zombie, he
• 9:13
had three full lengths and a bunch of EPS and then he's had,
• 9:17
you know, eight. I think this is his eighth solo
• 9:21
album on top of those other earlier White Zombie records.
• 9:24
And you know, I think most people would say, I think how
• 9:26
Billy Deluxe and Sinister Urge have moments that hold up to
• 9:31
White Zombie. Personally, I was such a big
• 9:33
White Zombie fan and Sex or Sisto and Electric Head to a
• 9:37
lesser extent are so baller and they're so great that I think it
• 9:40
kind of is, you know, felt less than for Rob's solo career.
• 9:44
But you know, a lot easier to be in a band by yourself then have
• 9:48
to do deal with other herbs. Michael Treat is here, H Harris
• 9:53
is here, Narwhalis is here. Great name.
• 9:56
You got a great screen name. I'm going to shout it out, you
• 9:58
know, So 21 million records sold combined for White Zombie and
• 10:03
Rob Zombie. That's an estimate from the
• 10:05
interwebs. And, you know, nothing to sneeze
• 10:09
at for a very popular artist. And his touring, you know, has
• 10:13
always been pretty successful. Of course, people know Rob also
• 10:17
is a visual artist. He's done a lot of shirts and
• 10:21
music videos, most notably all the White Zombie videos.
• 10:26
He directed videos for Prong and the Stillboard video for Black
• 10:31
Label Society. He originally worked as a stage
• 10:34
artist on Pee Wee's Playhouse. He also was the original artist
• 10:38
of the Ricky Rackman era of the stage for Headbangers Ball on
• 10:42
MTV. That's how he came into, you
• 10:44
know, That's how he came into, you know, being also, you know,
• 10:51
also, I mean, he's been a guest on other shows like Headbangers
• 10:57
Bowl, where he was an occasional host.
• 10:59
And of course, he could have been the host of that show,
• 11:02
would have been pretty seamless. He's also hosted a lot of movies
• 11:06
and television things and award shows where he's presented 150
• 11:10
million box office on his six feature films, all in the horror
• 11:14
genre. I didn't much care for The
• 11:16
Munsters redo on Netflix. I understood what he was going
• 11:20
  for. Did not love it.
• 11:22
GAIL Brent is also here. What's up?
• 11:23
What's up? And Tres Muertos has now popped
• 11:25
  over to IG. Hello.
• 11:27
  Hello. Appreciate it.
• 11:28
But yeah, 150 million nothing to sneeze at.
• 11:30
He's a very successful money making, you know, film
• 11:36
filmographer, director. He's also done a couple of other
• 11:39
little guest spots in his own movies and other people's
• 11:41
movies. And, you know, he makes money on
• 11:44
his films and some of his films were not commercially loved, but
• 11:48
they weren't money losers. And of course, in history, his
• 11:52
his stuff stands on its own. And of course, you know, he
• 11:55
still works with Universal Pictures and Universal Studios
• 11:59
as an artist and the director, even though he's not on their
• 12:02
label anymore. He was on that label for quite a
• 12:04
long time. I think he also had one record
• 12:06
on Roadrunner back in the day. Why?
• 12:09
Zombie, of course, was originally on Geffen Records
• 12:11
when they signed after Carolyn. So the Great Satan, obviously a
• 12:15
very, you know, perhaps triggering album title for
• 12:19
people in this crazy. I think you better start from
• 12:22
  the beginning. Exactly.
• 12:23
And there's plenty of samples on here.
• 12:26
The Great Satan, great album artwork.
• 12:28
I like the black and white of it all.
• 12:32
You know, Rob kind of face painted and hippie looking on
• 12:35
the cover. You know, he's always been a
• 12:37
great self promoter and really good at putting himself into
• 12:40
  things. Right.
• 12:42
B66 sis is here. What's up, what's up, what's up?
• 12:44
So, you know, just always super interesting that he would, you
• 12:47
know, accomplish these things. So the album opens up and and
• 12:52
you know, I will say that I wasn't super excited about the
• 12:56
singles initially. And then I love the videos and I
• 12:59
saw I listen to them a little on repeat.
• 13:01
And then our review of the album came across my e-mail for me to
• 13:06
edit and post from her own Will Suffer, who writes quite a bit
• 13:10
of stuff. And I don't think that he's
• 13:12
necessarily a Rob Zombie or White Zombie super fan.
• 13:15
I think he's just a good metal head.
• 13:20
So, you know, I think, you know, I think the original White
• 13:27
Zombie records came out originally on Rob's own record
• 13:30
label and then Caroline Records, which event, you know, doesn't
• 13:34
exist anymore, but a lot of helmet and prong were on those
• 13:38
labels. I'll just tell a little story
• 13:40
really quick before I jump into this is that, you know, my I go
• 13:44
back with White Zombie before they were popular.
• 13:47
I'm from New York City. Did you know?
• 13:49
And I saw White Zombie open for the Lunatics and the Cramps and
• 13:54
White Zombie was not good. They were pretty bad.
• 13:57
They were kind of a Cramps light type of band where they were
• 14:00
like noise rock and punk and a little metal, but not really.
• 14:05
And they weren't necessarily great as a band.
• 14:10
And then I remember when Make Them Die slowly came out, they
• 14:14
started kind of gravitating toward metal and obviously less
• 14:16
Exorcisto. Is this like horror scenes,
• 14:20
heavy metal and thrash metal? It's much more thrash and groove
• 14:23
metal than other records at the time.
• 14:26
I know it didn't really come out till 93 and some of those songs
• 14:29
are on the EP that got them signed to Geffen.
• 14:31
And some of those songs were on Soul Crusher and Make Them Die
• 14:35
Slowly, which came out before, but you know, the bones of White
• 14:40
Zombie. And then they kind of morphed
• 14:41
into industrial metal like, well, if we can't do that, we'll
• 14:44
never be able to replicate what sex or Sisto again, which was
• 14:48
like Slayer, very slayery and metal.
• 14:50
But let's take it the dancy stuff up a notch.
• 14:53
And obviously we got Electric Head and then that that went on
• 14:56
for a couple of years where they toured with Pantera and did
• 14:59
arenas together. And originally White Zombie was
• 15:03
headlining over Pantera and then it flipped and Pantera was
• 15:06
headlining over White Zombie, which, you know, kind of tells
• 15:09
you a little bit of what you need to know.
• 15:11
But White Zombie was untouchable back then, especially with my
• 15:16
and Ivan De Prune and a couple of other drummers, and then
• 15:19
Johnson, Pesta, formerly Testament, Exodus and Forbidden
• 15:25
and Cult and a bunch of other bands.
• 15:28
So talk About the Great Satan opens up with FTW 84.
• 15:33
And it kind of has, it's a longer track.
• 15:35
It's got kind of a a very soundtracky intro.
• 15:39
I guess they could have made it a separate track.
• 15:41
I personally don't like when the opening track is a separate
• 15:44
track. I want one song to start the
• 15:47
  record. I don't want a multitude, But
• 15:50
not all of us contain multitudes.
• 15:51
If you've been watching industry, maybe you get that
• 15:54
reference. I don't know, but once the song
• 15:58
proper kicks in, it's an absolute banger to start the
• 16:02
record. An absolute hint of what's to
• 16:04
  come. It's about 4 minutes.
• 16:06
I think that's the sweet spot for every Rob Zombie song.
• 16:09
Super spooky intro and then just an absolute groove metal banger
• 16:13
similar to Astro Creep 2000 or Electric Head as Gabe dropped in
• 16:19
the sample. There's tons of samples.
• 16:21
It's all the things you love about Rob Zombie right off the
• 16:23
  the bat. It's groovy.
• 16:25
You can head bang to it. It's got a fancy beat, pretty
• 16:28
great. The second track of the album's
• 16:30
a little shorter, and that is Tarantula, which I have to say,
• 16:36
  sorry, Itchy trigger finger there.
• 16:37
Tarantula is one of the best songs on the record.
• 16:40
The whole record's excellent, but Tarantula stands out.
• 16:44
It's very Pantera, far beyond driven and Vulgar Display of
• 16:50
  Power. Very groovy, heavy, phenomenal
• 16:53
riffs, great vocal by Rob, which like, you know, Rob is not a
• 16:58
traditionally great singer. I know he started out just kind
• 17:00
of rapping and shouting in T like all metal singers did.
• 17:04
And obviously he was very inspired by Public Enemy and
• 17:07
stuff to rap. I was at the bar the other night
• 17:09
here where I do karaoke and one of my friends said like anytime
• 17:13
I see a white guy rapping, I'm immediately disappointed and and
• 17:16
unhappy about it. And I was like, you know what,
• 17:19
That's completely fucking fair. But Rob is actually solid at
• 17:24
rapping tarantula rules. I'll just leave it at that.
• 17:29
Then the next track is one of the singles, I'm a Rock and
• 17:31
Roller, kind of a generic song. I think one of the things Rob
• 17:34
Zombie does really well is get people like he writes with the
• 17:39
live show in mind. So it's a lot of sing alongs.
• 17:42
It's a lot of stuff people want to chant back to a band.
• 17:46
And I'm a Rock and roller. I think he name checks Jimmy
• 17:49
Page. You know, the video is pretty
• 17:51
interesting. It's got a little fun stuff
• 17:53
there, but it's also like a rehearsal room, like a cramped
• 17:56
little rehearsal room. And again, man, just riffs.
• 18:00
And I don't know, I'm not going to say that like the previous
• 18:02
Rob Zombie records didn't have good riffs because of course
• 18:04
they did with John 5. But I just feel like he didn't
• 18:07
ever let John 5 like do his thing as much.
• 18:11
And Riggs is just a perfect match for, you know, going out
• 18:14
and playing the hits with Rob and then coming in to put a
• 18:17
record together. I don't know how much of it he
• 18:18
actually got to write, but it does sound like he's a big
• 18:22
contributor here. Great guitar, crunchy guitar
• 18:24
sound. Just what you want, you know,
• 18:27
from a modern metal record. Typical Rob Zombie song.
• 18:32
Another single is Heathen Days. Pretty short, super fast, almost
• 18:36
a thrash metal. There's a few of these on here
• 18:38
that could be thrash metal, like a super fast quick track that I
• 18:43
really like. A kind of reminded me a little
• 18:45
bit of Supercharger Heaven from Astro Creep, which there's also
• 18:49
a few more on here that sound like that.
• 18:51
Then there's a little interlude Who Am I didn't do much for me
• 18:55
but OK, there's a few, quite a few.
• 18:57
So it's like a long record, If you count the intro as one track
• 19:00
and not 2, it would be like 16 tracks, but there's like at
• 19:04
least three interludes and the intro is long and therefore and
• 19:08
the outro. So we'll get to it.
• 19:10
Then next is Black Rat Cough Coffin, which is awesome metal
• 19:15
as fuck and maybe the Best Song on the whole record.
• 19:19
That and Tarantula, just absolute Ripper.
• 19:22
There's an ear peeler. I want to hear quite a few of
• 19:26
these songs live. Then, in typical Rob Zombie
• 19:31
fashion, Sir Lord Acid Wolfman, I don't know what the fuck this
• 19:34
song is about. If you know, drop a comment and
• 19:37
tell me. I don't know what the fuck this
• 19:39
song is about. The lyrics make even less sense
• 19:41
than usual for a Rob Zombie song.
• 19:44
But that being said, I actually enjoyed the song.
• 19:49
It's not it's neither great, but it's you know, it's certainly
• 19:54
  not horrible, but I I don't understand, like I don't need to
• 19:57
understand what it's about. Do you need to understand what
• 19:59
any Rob Zombie song is about? I don't think so, but it's
• 20:04
pretty obtuse even for Rob. Then the next track is another
• 20:08
Ranger punks and demons, another short one, possibly the title
• 20:12
track, because it does repeat Satan a lot in the lyrics and
• 20:19
  it's pretty fun. Another Shorty.
• 20:22
So this record kind of whips by, even though it's got a lot of
• 20:24
tracks and this is probably, I would make this a single if it's
• 20:28
not already planned to be, I would do it.
• 20:30
I think it kind of works for that.
• 20:34
Next is the devil man with a devil man, Devil man Devil man
• 20:39
lyrics, which will remind you again of Super Charter Heaven.
• 20:43
Very slow, though not fast. This is more like a White Zombie
• 20:48
jaws of the soul crusher, you know, like one of those songs,
• 20:54
you know, really similar to the earth.
• 20:57
Like sex is just a White Zombie Thunder kiss.
• 21:01
You know, there's a lot of call outs across his career here.
• 21:04
Almost like, hey, remember that thing you really love for me 30
• 21:07
years ago? We'll check this out.
• 21:11
Then the next song is I believe out of sight, which is a lot
• 21:16
like an industrial metal super beast type of song and really a
• 21:22
lot of ministry on this record ministry from recent KMFDM
• 21:27
record that came out like really like even a little 9 inch nails
• 21:35
on out of sight. Pretty cool.
• 21:38
Not like Tron areas 9 inch Nails, but like the broken EP 9
• 21:43
inch nails, like Wish, like yeah, he sticks to his roots.
• 21:46
He knows man. He like he's not going to
• 21:48
overthink this thing. I think we got the one
• 21:50
experimental record out of the way from him early, the 4th
• 21:53
record or fifth record, and I don't think he's going to make
• 21:55
another one. Welcome to the Electric Age is
• 21:59
another interlude. Doesn't do much for me and
• 22:02
doesn't seem like it either. Oh, sorry, I think I skipped
• 22:04
  one. Did I skip one?
• 22:07
OK, I got them out of order. Revolution mother fuckers is the
• 22:09
next one. And he's doing like a Carney
• 22:12
Barker thing like again, Rob not super great at his voice wise,
• 22:16
but like he has a lot of voices. He's using effects on his voice.
• 22:20
He's giving you like a lot of different flavors.
• 22:23
Now I don't know how all of this would translate to a show, but
• 22:26
some of this stuff is, you know, listicles and stream of
• 22:30
  consciousness gibberish and madness.
• 22:32
But you know, people want to chant along to a song called
• 22:35
Revolution Mother fuckers. You know, they just want to.
• 22:39
Then the next track is the is the Welcome to the Electric Age,
• 22:44
which I didn't quite like too much.
• 22:46
Again, didn't do much for me. Then the song ends with a a
• 22:51
super bang. OK, here we go.
• 22:54
Black Scorpion is an absolute banger.
• 22:57
Kind of sounds like thrash metal but with a typo.
• 22:59
  Negative monsters keyboard part again.
• 23:02
Rob knows what he's doing. This is who he is.
• 23:05
He's not going to change the formula now.
• 23:09
Another one of the best songs on here and the shortest.
• 23:13
I would say it kind of reminded me of, you know, I think this is
• 23:17
probably the first time ever, you know, that spider, his
• 23:20
brother Spider one from what's his band?
• 23:27
I just had it before they started out as like spider one.
• 23:32
They started out as like, you know, like sort of like incubus,
• 23:38
groovy folk stuff. And then they changed to kind of
• 23:43
industrial metal after Rob did, which is weird.
• 23:49
Of course. I couldn't remember what his
• 23:51
band is because you know, not that great.
• 23:53
Power Man 5000 Oh my God, I'm so tired.
• 23:56
Power Man 5000 So it kind of when Power Man 5000 they ran out
• 24:02
of ideas to do kind of industrial metal and especially
• 24:08
dancy stuff. They went back and did like punk
• 24:10
records and now they're back again doing the industrial hits.
• 24:14
So to me, the Black Scorpion kind of feels a lot like, not
• 24:18
that Rob Zombie is listening to the brother because I'm sure
• 24:20
this is the first time anyone has ever did this.
• 24:22
This is like Rob Zombie doing like a Power Man 5000 punk kind
• 24:27
of step back. I don't know that they're close.
• 24:31
  I don't think they've toured together much.
• 24:34
My favorite band is in as much of A metal head as I am.
• 24:37
It's probably Pink fluid. How about you Ghost gaming on
• 24:41
  TikTok? What's your favorite band?
• 24:45
So yeah, like a very fast, punky metal power man, but also very
• 24:49
thrashy, very thrashy. So this record's got some heavy
• 24:53
shit on it, man. I'm going to tell you, I was
• 24:54
pleasantly surprised. And then finally, it's not the
• 24:59
last. It's the last full song proper
• 25:01
on the album Unclean Animals, which is like a very slow pre
• 25:07
life sex or Sisto White Zombie groove metal song that kind of
• 25:10
also reminds me of Blood, Milk and Sky a little bit.
• 25:14
The closing track on Astro Creep 2000.
• 25:17
Yeah, Metallica. I've seen them the most of any
• 25:19
band like 45-6 times. I'm hoping to go to the sphere.
• 25:22
We shall see. But Unclean Animals, really
• 25:26
strong, really strong. And then the album ends again
• 25:31
with another little outro called Grave Discontent.
• 25:34
But again, didn't do much for me.
• 25:37
You know, before I talk more about the merch and other
• 25:42
things, I want to read this quote.
• 25:44
So we'll suffer a ghost cult and I will link this.
• 25:47
It's in the description but here you go for y'all watching if you
• 25:50
want to check it out. And I'll try to link it for
• 25:53
y'all over on the TikTok also. So here's the quote from our
• 26:05
review because it was a very high praise.
• 26:07
Overall, this album is fucking fantastic and shows that just
• 26:12
because you came out in the 90s, it does not mean you have to
• 26:14
forsake your sound. If you were good enough artists
• 26:16
to perfect it. This most likely works better
• 26:20
than if he tried to get the old band back together, which you
• 26:22
know that Rob has zero interest in putting White Zombie back
• 26:25
together as we have heard, and certainly more inspired and
• 26:29
stands tall against his best work.
• 26:31
And it doesn't matter if you were hung up on digging through
• 26:33
the ditches or kissing Thunder in 1965, all the elements that
• 26:37
sparked interest in your ears when you first heard those
• 26:40
sounds are in play. So really, really great.
• 26:45
Really great review. I got to say, for me personally,
• 26:48
I don't think it's a perfect Rob Zombie album, but it surely is a
• 26:52
lot better than I thought and Bella Kiss Music is here.
• 26:56
What's up? I absolutely have listened to
• 26:59
this thing 3 or 4 times to do this review and I think it's a
• 27:04
pretty excellent record and a surprisingly excellent record
• 27:08
among a month of banger records in in 2026 so far.
• 27:14
Puscifer came out early in the month.
• 27:15
Can be really hard to pin down what the number one record of
• 27:18
the month is, but this is pretty incredible.
• 27:21
I have to say surprise me. There are deluxe packages for
• 27:26
the great Satan, you know, a nuclear blast and Rob have
• 27:28
collaborated. There's like a poster and
• 27:31
illustrated book set that comes with a splatter vinyl.
• 27:35
There's the regular vinyl variance and bundles and
• 27:37
  splatter vinyls and merch bundles.
• 27:40
I do like the black and white cover.
• 27:41
I think educated horses also has a black and white cover.
• 27:44
So you know, after doing such vibrant blur, the Technicolor
• 27:49
pun intended type of stuff, I think it's kind of fun that Rob
• 27:53
has this kind of very monochrome but still cool looking album
• 27:57
artwork and that is the Great Satan.
• 28:01
Personally, I would give this A8 or even a low nine.
• 28:04
I'm not Anthony Fantano, it is low twos, but you know, this is
• 28:09
about the best I could have hoped for for Rob Zombie record.
• 28:12
There are tracks that are exceptional and not a lot of
• 28:16
stuff that sounds like filler except for the sort of
• 28:19
interludes that are meant to be filler.
• 28:21
So like, I understood the assignment and so did Rob.
• 28:25
All right, we're getting to the top of the hour.
• 28:27
Volbeat rocker here. Been a long time since we've
• 28:29
seen you. I will be back in about an hour
• 28:32
or so with an with the regular weekly show, but I wanted to get
• 28:36
in. We had the opportunity to listen
• 28:37
to the record a lot before it dropped, and I felt like you
• 28:41
guys deserved, you know, a little bit of hearing from me
• 28:45
about it. So I hope you enjoyed it.
• 28:47
Drop a comment if you've heard some of this stuff, if you are
• 28:50
excited about it or not, if you've got thoughts about it, if
• 28:53
you don't like Rob Zombie, if you prefer White Zombie, that's
• 28:57
also totally OK because a lot of people do.
• 29:00
I still listen to White Zombie every week and for me
• 29:05
personally, it's a lot better than, you know, most of his solo
• 29:09
stuff. But that's just me and you know,
• 29:12
maybe I'm wrong because I'm wrong.
• 29:15
Sometimes I get it wrong even though I, you know, I am an
• 29:17
expert at these things. Sometimes I get it wrong.
• 29:20
I just get it wrong. Anyway, that's our show.
• 29:22
I'll be back in a little while with the regular show.
• 29:24
Feel free to tune back in. If this is your first time here
• 29:26
and you enjoyed it, please like and subscribe.
• 29:29
If you didn't like it or you disagree with me, please comment
• 29:32
because I appreciate it and I take all the feedback and I
• 29:36
  listen. Thanks for being here.
• 29:37
Thanks to our regular ones, Rubber band man Gabe, you know
• 29:41
anybody that tuned in on the on the gram that we that are, you
• 29:45
know, our regular fans here. I appreciate you all and I'll be
• 29:49
back in a little while. Peace out, Metalon.
