Transcript
- 0:00Hello. Then it's time for most things
- 0:02Kenobi. Shouldn't it be all things
- 0:05Kenobi. Hmm.
- 0:19Hi everyone, welcome to another episode of most things Kenobi, a
- 0:22podcast, but Obi-Wan Kenobi, and all things Star Wars.
- 0:25I'm your host Lauren, and I'm your host Leanne, and this week,
- 0:29we come to you, from Leann's Kitchen.
- 0:32Yes, we are finally getting a chance to record together.
- 0:35A very rare treat for us, but because of that, because we're
- 0:39in the room together, you might hear a little more Mike bleed
- 0:42than usual. We're trying very hard not to
- 0:44talk over each other this time. But you will definitely probably
- 0:47hear a little bit of audio difference in this episode.
- 0:49Maybe another episode or two. We're going to try and record a
- 0:52few today so we apologize for any changes but we are doing our
- 0:56best to make it as high quality for you as possible.
- 0:59But on a more positive note, it's been an absolute treat
- 1:03getting to visit with you and see you for as long as we have
- 1:05this. This go around.
- 1:07It has been so much fun. We've watched Rogue one Empire
- 1:10Strikes Back this morning. We went from Return of the Jedi
- 1:13and a lot of Clone Wars it has been Fabulous.
- 1:16We haven't only done Star Wars stuff.
- 1:17We've done lots of other great things as well.
- 1:19I am well fed. It's true.
- 1:24It's true. We got our fix.
- 1:25Of course. Yeah, delicious outings on the
- 1:29town. And yeah, it's been fantastic.
- 1:31Thank you for hosting the course.
- 1:33And if any of you out there listening and you follow us on
- 1:36social media, we've been posting pretty regularly about our our
- 1:39adventures in Star Wars land. And what we've been doing
- 1:42together is we kind of hang out for the past couple of days.
- 1:46Days. Yeah and I've finally got to
- 1:47hold Leanne's Princess Leia lightsaber and it was amazing.
- 1:52Pretty nice lightsaber isn't it? It's Hefty it's super Hefty.
- 1:58I was very impressed with it you could really do some damage she
- 2:01could have yes hell yes you could have way is a goddess.
- 2:06So what we're going to talk about today is kind of
- 2:08interesting. It's something that You know, we
- 2:10tossed between each other. Is this something we want to
- 2:13delve into? And it's kind of got an
- 2:15interesting angle and it's not something that you see all the
- 2:17time. It's the comparison.
- 2:20Well, the comparing and contrasting of the two
- 2:24characters, Ahsoka, Tano and asajj, Ventress.
- 2:27And we've done some research and they are very alike but they
- 2:31have quite a few differences as well.
- 2:33And we really start to see them come together in.
- 2:37You know, the episodes, where Ahsoka In the Clone Wars ends up
- 2:41leaving the Jedi Order and leaving everyone behind and you
- 2:45know culminates in the episode where we all cry.
- 2:50We watch these episodes for research and we avoided that one
- 2:54because we couldn't take in the name of research.
- 2:56We went ahead re-watched, all of it and kind of discussed as we
- 3:00were watching. Well, number one, how handsome,
- 3:03Anakin and Obi-Wan are number two.
- 3:06How How shall I say it? How difficult Ventress and
- 3:13Ahsoka, their lives were and their lives became?
- 3:17And that is their biggest similarity between the two
- 3:22characters. Is there the amount of loss they
- 3:25both experienced and how that set them on their path first?
- 3:29I mean, it's kind of obvious if you re-watch the episode but I
- 3:32hadn't watched it for a long time.
- 3:34And it really occurred to me, when we were recording our
- 3:36episode about what makes a good Jedi.
- 3:39And we were talking about Ahsoka and how she found her own path
- 3:42and kind of lives by her own code after she leaves the Jedi.
- 3:45And it made me realize, that's exactly what Ventress does.
- 3:49You know, she gets betrayed by her master.
- 3:52She goes through a time of self-discovery and comes out the
- 3:56other end, you know, the Bounty Hunter living by her own code,
- 4:00kind of not subscribing to the Jedi or the Sith or anybody, she
- 4:04lives by her own rules and that's kind of what Ahsoka did,
- 4:06right? And Maybe a different set of
- 4:10rules between the two of them, but you could say that they
- 4:13definitely lived on their own doing what they thought they
- 4:18needed to do to survive. And it's all because as we know,
- 4:24Ventress was betrayed by Dooku and Ahsoka was betrayed by the
- 4:29Jedi Order. When they just you know, assumed
- 4:34she was the guilty party who bombed the temple as we took as
- 4:38we Find out its barest. But you know, after that trust
- 4:42is broken. There's, there's no going back.
- 4:44And it struck me when we're watching the episode the other
- 4:47day that once this chain of events starts rolling, like a
- 4:51Sokka maybe even not knowing it could never return to the life
- 4:55she had before. You know, she's on the Run,
- 4:57she's trying to clear her name and it's like, even when she
- 5:00clears her name. Her path is totally different
- 5:03from then on, she can never go back.
- 5:04That's really was kind of crushing.
- 5:07It's very sad. I mean, Ecologically speaking,
- 5:09these two went through hell. And at the hands of people they
- 5:13thought they trusted or is could trust and that's pretty awful,
- 5:17but they're both survivors, you know, by any means necessary.
- 5:22I guess obviously Ahsoka subscribe to a more Kinder
- 5:25gentler set of self-imposed rules, you know and asajj was
- 5:31just I mean she could have been way more ruthless considering
- 5:35how awful her life was but she kind of tamed herself if she
- 5:39toned it down solutely. I mean, it's so kind of lives by
- 5:42for the greater good Rule and Ventures lives for like a
- 5:46self-preservation. But when we re Watch the
- 5:49episodes about Ventress, and I don't blame her all of the Lost
- 5:53she suffered and all of the devastation that she experienced
- 5:57even returning to death and mirror thinking it was going to
- 6:00be a safe haven for her and really it like brought
- 6:03destruction to her people. I mean, I don't think it's that
- 6:08far. Patch that you would just kind
- 6:09of like live for herself from then on and keep it like small
- 6:12and tight and close to the vest, all the time.
- 6:15And the guilt, she felt when all of the nightsisters died
- 6:18quote-unquote, because of her, she carried that with her and
- 6:22I'm sure. I am sure well, we get a little
- 6:25of it. In EK Johnson's book Ahsoka,
- 6:28where Ahsoka feels guilt after Order 66 that she made it out
- 6:34and she knows, or at least assumes that most of her.
- 6:38Her. I mean, Anakin and Obi-Wan.
- 6:40She's never quite sure. I mean, until later on that,
- 6:43they're still alive or they died, she assumes, they died
- 6:46because she can't connect with them through the force and she
- 6:48tried several times. So she just assumed you know but
- 6:52still kept a little help a lot. Yeah that's interesting.
- 6:54I've never read that book. Would you recommend it?
- 6:57I would it's a good. It's a good back story.
- 6:59Filler. It kind of it's a bridge if you
- 7:03will. I've heard it's a little
- 7:04different than what happened and see if his season seven because
- 7:07I guess she was going off. Just like script treatments but
- 7:10that it's fairly close this close enough.
- 7:13I mean Clone Wars. They did a fantastic job so
- 7:16can't get better than that. So What do we know about asajj
- 7:24Ventress? Her life began as she was
- 7:32payment. She was sold into slavery or
- 7:35traded into slavery in as a means to keep the nightsisters
- 7:40safe in a way that isn't. It's described in Wikipedia but
- 7:46it's not you don't quite get it from the episode in the Clone
- 7:49Wars. She's then discovered.
- 7:53As having this tremendous Power by a Jedi who takes her under
- 7:57his wing and trains her to be his Padawan.
- 8:00He dies in front of her and she goes, kind of ballistic and
- 8:05starts to seek revenge on the Jedi and then is picked up
- 8:09eventually by Dooku and good. Old palps, who's always
- 8:13searching. He's always looking for a new
- 8:16person to destroy ya. Soul to take in crush Well, and
- 8:21it's sad because I it's interesting that they never
- 8:26really talked about from the Jedi perspective, like what they
- 8:29think of asajj, maybe they didn't know she existed because
- 8:33I forget her her master's name. Chi something right, he
- 8:39crash-lands on her planet, the planet that she's been taken to
- 8:44as a slave and her slave masters killed.
- 8:48And then he this Jedi takes over her.
- 8:51Care and training. So maybe it he was crash-landed
- 8:55there and was never able to reconnect with the Jedi and I
- 8:58guess Wikipedia said that as such thought that the Jedi had
- 9:01abandoned him and that's why she despised the Jedi, but I wonder
- 9:05if the Jedi ever knew that she was training to be a Jedi if
- 9:09they only knew that she was a Sith.
- 9:10And that's why they well and then we get in dark disciple.
- 9:16We get that the Jedi want to use her in their classic manner.
- 9:21I won't spoil the book for anyone who hasn't read it.
- 9:25It's definitely good. It's a good read.
- 9:27That one is good especially if you like Quinlan Vos also.
- 9:31He's so great in that we didn't get enough Voss, we didn't, but
- 9:35we did get beautiful. He's someone we need to talk
- 9:41about in a separate episode. Yes, because he's he has his
- 9:45power. Our is different and unique,
- 9:47it's very interesting. He's a character in and of
- 9:50itself you and I were talking when we were watching the
- 9:53episode of him and Obi-Wan and Ziro.
- 9:56The Hutt one of my favorite episodes.
- 9:59Yeah, ever that him and Obi-Wan probably have a lengthy back.
- 10:04A story that I would love to just make up.
- 10:06Yeah, as we go because you and I were already starting to do
- 10:08that. It's so true.
- 10:11I have like ideas for fixed with them because They were padawans
- 10:17around the same time and there's always talk and like,
- 10:19novelizations and comic books that they have a history, but no
- 10:22one ever talks about what it is. It's just, the way Obi-Wan seems
- 10:28totally annoyed with him. But like, you can tell that he's
- 10:30not really, just kind of like, that's the role he assumes.
- 10:34They're comfortable enough to throw Jabs at each other.
- 10:37Yes. Knowing that okay, it's safe to
- 10:40throw a jab at this one because of whatever are lengthy
- 10:42backstory is when I love that Voss has that Line.
- 10:46That's like right out of the Big Lebowski where he says, well
- 10:49that's like your opinion man. Yeah exactly.
- 10:52Oh, I wonder if someone on the Clone Wars team was a closet
- 10:56Lebowski fan. Who maybe I am not a closet
- 10:59Lebowski fan. I am an out-and-proud Lebowski.
- 11:01We are both very proud Lebowski so we would have automatically
- 11:06think that when we look. Yeah.
- 11:08See that, that episode. And didn't we talk about Jeff
- 11:11Bridges? In the day, filoni episode.
- 11:13I did my, I don't remember what you want, but This is what
- 11:17happens behind the scenes when we watch them, we go we go off
- 11:19on tangents together by ourselves when there's no
- 11:23microphone in front of our face. Exactly.
- 11:25That's why the podcast is a natural step for us.
- 11:29Okay. So that's a sausages background
- 11:32in a nutshell. Then we have ahsoka's Oh my God.
- 11:37Yeah, found by a Jedi, they're young mr.
- 11:41Plow Coon little Soka little Soka my heart.
- 11:45I know I know and then when you know when the whole Jedi Who
- 11:49Knew Too Much or whatever that Arc is called they send of
- 11:52course Anakin and blow to track down Ahsoka.
- 11:54I just think that's pretty heartbreaking.
- 11:57That is pure manipulation on her emotions to try and talk her
- 12:01down off a ledge. If you will, by using the two
- 12:03people that are closest in meaning the most Her with no
- 12:06thought of what emotional toll. It would take on the two
- 12:09characters who love her the most going after her.
- 12:12Yeah, fucking Council. Funny Castle.
- 12:16Peace is a lie bitch. On this is a this is why but I
- 12:21digress. Yes.
- 12:23Yes, so once Ahsoka is brought to the temple, I guess we don't
- 12:26really know what happens between when she's a baby basically.
- 12:29It when she becomes Padawan, but ob1 thought she was going to be
- 12:34his Padawan. You see in the Clone Wars movie
- 12:36and then Yoda decides that she's going to be Anakin's Padawan and
- 12:41the rest is history as they say, then she gets basically, I would
- 12:47say, betrayed by the Jedi who in her most moment of most need,
- 12:51they do not stand by her and in fact, they turn their backs on
- 12:55her until the proof is irrefutable and then they can't
- 12:58deny that. It wasn't her that committed the
- 13:00crime, but she is strong enough to realize that this life.
- 13:05Is not for her. She leaves she goes off on her
- 13:07own, she helps Boca tan, and the Mandalore What is that called
- 13:14again? The mandala.
- 13:15What is the Mandalore Arc in season 7 called the best thing
- 13:19I've ever seen? Oh sorry, that's not the working
- 13:21title but should be no I don't know the the name of the siege
- 13:28of Mandalore that's it. There it is.
- 13:31And then we see her again in Rebels.
- 13:33We see her again in the Mandalorian just Ahsoka is
- 13:37permeating, all parts of Star Wars now and it's pretty amazing
- 13:41her. Her Arc to becoming the strong
- 13:44independent character, who doesn't need any kind of group
- 13:49or approval from anybody, she lives by our own code.
- 13:52And you see that really clearly in the Mandalorian, she's got
- 13:57her goal. Going after thrawn, I guess is
- 13:59what she's doing next? Which I'm interested to see how
- 14:03they're going to pull in Timothy, zahn's stuff.
- 14:07It's going to be interesting, but yeah, massage doesn't last,
- 14:12as long as this. Okay, we just you bad. but she
- 14:16went the way that I would say, she went the way that, that
- 14:21would be the most dignified for her character, doing her thing
- 14:26on her terms, Which, I mean, that's all she probably ever,
- 14:32really wanted. Was, I mean, she craved to
- 14:35belong somewhere. She couldn't belong with the
- 14:39nightsisters. She couldn't belong with the
- 14:40Jedi. She couldn't belong with the
- 14:42Sith. She became a bounty hunter,
- 14:44didn't quite belong there though.
- 14:46She fit in quite well. And then, you know, she took it
- 14:49upon herself to just do her thing and yes and did badly.
- 14:53But at the same time I mean, we don't know ahsoka's and But I'm
- 14:58going to go ahead and guarantee. It's going to be on her terms.
- 15:01And it's she's going to go the way that Ahsoka Tano deserves to
- 15:06go, which is probably doing something selfless God.
- 15:09I hope they don't show us that I don't want to see anymore.
- 15:12It's bad enough having to see Luke Han and Leia, everyone else
- 15:17that was God awful. But yeah, you're so right about
- 15:21asajj wanting to it's like talk about from childhood never
- 15:26having a home. Now, Ever officially being safe
- 15:29anywhere. And she just seemed to keep
- 15:31craving it. Wherever she went.
- 15:33And finally, when she goes off on her own, and accepts being
- 15:36alone and accepts the life that she makes now.
- 15:40That's when she gets pulled back in, it's like The Godfather,
- 15:43right? Every time I'm up, they pull me
- 15:45back. Yes, and she like gets used up
- 15:49chewed up and spit out by the Jedi Council like so many other
- 15:53characters. which is sad because I'll be one is a part of that,
- 15:58but Obi-Wan always had respect for Ventress, which I find
- 16:05interesting a lot of people's ship them, we're not here to
- 16:08like really comment on that, but I could see why the fan art for
- 16:13that ship is really good. I've seen some you've sent me
- 16:17some. Yes, very nice.
- 16:18It's a lot more Saucy. It's is Ventress Obi-Wan side
- 16:24piece. I can't see it.
- 16:31We will allow you to refrain from making a comment, but we'll
- 16:37just put that coming in at their bosses girl, but nobody's side
- 16:43piece. Hey, interpret it.
- 16:45How you will? I know a lot of people are
- 16:47really opposed to that because of Satine, but I just say
- 16:50nothing is written in stone anywhere.
- 16:52Now, it's fun. It's fun to talk about.
- 16:53That's what fandom and shipping is about as Is like taking
- 16:56what's Cannon and going off on site and guilty pleasures.
- 17:00That's why people write Fanfictions.
- 17:01Yeah. I mean, I shit myself with a
- 17:03knocking every day so sorry padmé.
- 17:07Yeah, right. Padme's.
- 17:10A nice lady and everything but Luke and Leia's mother.
- 17:13I respect. Yes.
- 17:14But come on. Sorry, don't apologize.
- 17:20My mother listening. Yeah and mom doesn't know what
- 17:23the word shipped means. I apologize.
- 17:25That's true. Actually I've used that term
- 17:27with a few people who aren't fans of people in there just
- 17:29like are you saying shit you shit then some I do We won't get
- 17:39into those. No, no, no.
- 17:44When you ship somebody, it's when you want to characters to
- 17:48have a relationship, that's basically what it boils down to,
- 17:52it's a verb. Yes, to ship to someone.
- 17:57Does that help? Well, I don't, I don't
- 17:59necessarily ship Obi-Wan and asajj Ventress, but I do love
- 18:05there. Are reluctant respect for each
- 18:08other. Yes, same, I'm not opposed to
- 18:11this ship. I don't like ship at hardcore
- 18:13anything but I'm not offended by it when I see it.
- 18:17I think that they make sense together because they're very
- 18:21similar in their determination and like, she despises the fact
- 18:27that he's always in a cheerful mood.
- 18:30Yes, which is hilarious. Yeah, because he's the pain
- 18:35Obi-Wan It feels inside is, is a direct contradiction to that
- 18:40outward happiness. She's picking up on, it's so
- 18:43true. Well, there that's why Revenge.
- 18:46The episode revenge is so great because they're, they're just
- 18:51mocking each other ruthlessly. The entire time I want that back
- 18:56Red's, not my color anyway, they need each other, right?
- 19:00They wouldn't have gotten out of that situation without each
- 19:03other, and I think it's It's quite delightful to watch them
- 19:07play off of each other. It's a guilty pleasure.
- 19:11Yeah. And we didn't get enough of it.
- 19:13No, we got a good amount but not that like one-on-one, they're
- 19:16like Never Alone Together true. And I think that is fun although
- 19:21in its non-canon. But I was telling you about this
- 19:25the other day, there's like Dark Horse Comics where their
- 19:28relationship is quite terrifying because she's like tortures him
- 19:32and she's quite brutal in the in the Older Comics that makes
- 19:37sense, though. Yeah.
- 19:38And it's probably because maybe her backstory didn't exist yet.
- 19:41So there wasn't compassion for Ventress.
- 19:43She was just like an evil villain who did Evil things.
- 19:47So it's pretty cool to watch that her Arc has changed so much
- 19:50and she's really very developed. Since we're talking about
- 19:55Ventress and her back story and how she came to be and she's
- 19:59quite brutal and some comics, and you know, Stasi in the Clone
- 20:03Wars, did you happen to know and do our listeners happen to know
- 20:07that her tattoos on her head actually have significant
- 20:09meaning, which I find extremely interesting because I love
- 20:13symbolism and the detail they put.
- 20:15Right. So when her master her Jedi
- 20:17Master kind Eric, you actually? Yes, it is Kai nice when he
- 20:22died. She decided to go after you
- 20:26know, a little basically everybody but she really said,
- 20:29I'm done with the Jedi overall. She tattooed her skull as we
- 20:33know it from the Clone Wars 12 marks.
- 20:37One for each of the 12 Warlords. She killed after swearing their
- 20:40deaths on the planet where they resided where she and her master
- 20:45were and we're training and the ones that ended up killing him.
- 20:48So dang, that's funny. I didn't know that.
- 20:51That is ruthless and that is amazing.
- 20:53And I never heard that before. It's, it's very awesome.
- 20:57I love little details like that, which add depth to a character.
- 21:02But only if you know, right, like she just looks badass with
- 21:05her head tattoos, right? You just she's that bald.
- 21:08Yeah, she's actually beautiful but like she has that imposing
- 21:12like but actually she wears it as a badge, that's the thing
- 21:16that's so interesting with her as every Reincarnation of her.
- 21:20She just Embraces it fully without question.
- 21:24And then on the flipside, comparing it to a Sokka, her
- 21:29beaded chain, representing her tied to the Jedi, she ripped off
- 21:35and got rid of. So, asajj is adding something to
- 21:39her after, you know, her leaving the Jedi.
- 21:43If you will, we're leaving that path behind and Ahsoka is
- 21:48removing a piece. That's true.
- 21:51But also she uses her markings as the full Akram symbol when
- 21:55she becomes part of the underground resistance.
- 21:58Yeah. In Rebels and it's become a
- 22:00symbol of. It's it's become a symbol as
- 22:04part of, you know, as a part of the rebellion in its most
- 22:08earliest stages. And Beyond, oh, I was going to
- 22:12say that. It's also become a symbol.
- 22:14It started becoming a symbol I guess, and season 7, of Clone
- 22:18Wars, where all of the Clones paint that symbol on their
- 22:21helmets And now it's become a huge symbol in.
- 22:25Fandom people have it embroidered on t-shirts, and
- 22:27sweatshirts, and hats. And mugs, we just watch the her
- 22:30Universe fashion show and Ashley Eckstein walked out in her, you
- 22:35know, goddess outfit. My God, that was amazing.
- 22:38The Cape the, the whole thing, she took the hood, all out, like
- 22:43she removed the hood, like an age, any Jedi would.
- 22:47It's like, I'm Chillin thinking about it.
- 22:50You've see, I'm sure the comparison of when Obi-Wan His
- 22:54robes with the woman from the Anastasia car tumors like
- 22:57Grandma moth. Yes, I've seen it and I love it.
- 23:00I always think of that, when a Jedi removes their Hood, I'm
- 23:03always thinking of the anesthesia cart.
- 23:05Yes, but yeah, it's my God, that outfit, I wanted the like cuff
- 23:09around the ankle, the sparkly heels.
- 23:11The fulcrum symbol on the back, it was amazing.
- 23:15Of course she wore it well with that hair, the Ahsoka hair, you
- 23:17know, which is just so cool. We're on a tangent.
- 23:21Yes, but the symbol but I mean Ahsoka has played by Ashley, so
- 23:25it's okay guys in. Yes, but the symbol has become
- 23:28something so much more. Which I mean, obviously asajj,
- 23:32Ventress is head tattoos of death.
- 23:34I'm not going to become a symbol for.
- 23:36I would wear something with those but her universe made
- 23:39adventurous clothing. That's true.
- 23:41So they handle like workout leg workout living within the bra.
- 23:44Yeah, that was really cool. I love the colors.
- 23:47There is a pin coming out because I'm, you know, addicted
- 23:51to pins now. Pin Master lady is doing a pan
- 23:55with, I can't remember who the other person is.
- 23:57But they're doing a light side and a dark side asajj, and one
- 24:00of their shops is selling light side and the other selling the
- 24:03dark side. And they're so amazing.
- 24:04It's that one of the like, with she's like wrapped in her
- 24:08costume. In like, it's sticking a
- 24:10fluttering up behind her and she's got the hair and its
- 24:13really good at such as art is so great.
- 24:16Sometimes, it's, there's some really beautiful, beautiful
- 24:20characterizations of her with, with hair without hair.
- 24:23R. Yes, she's always a badass and
- 24:27the voice actress Nika. Futterman amazing.
- 24:31Amazing. Does it is?
- 24:32It's nice noodles. Yes.
- 24:35From the 1403. So good, Ciro my love muffin.
- 24:43I'm terrible at imitating her, but I love her.
- 24:47Oh, good. What did they do to you?
- 24:50Oh my God. Those two characters together
- 24:52are just So hilarious I can't I can't take the throaty like
- 24:57gravelly voice of Passage and then Matt dear you know that
- 25:02came out of the same person. It's amazing to me.
- 25:04It's like how I can't understand how James Arnold Taylor is 0, b,
- 25:091 and rako, hardeen, right? Like the voice and he said he
- 25:14doesn't, they don't put like a filter on him.
- 25:16He does that he has to like lower his voice.
- 25:19In active voice actors blow my mind, amazing talent.
- 25:22All of M0 of them. Yes, I don't know how it's that.
- 25:25Oh and we're saying Matt Lanter, does does the voice of the
- 25:30lizard? Monkey monkey lizard?
- 25:32Yeah. Hondo ohnaka.
- 25:34Yes. Which I mean if you listen to it
- 25:36and you picture Lantern it like Bravo, I want to see footage of
- 25:42that same same So for this week's question, we want to turn
- 25:48the conversation over to you guys.
- 25:49As always we want to know, what do you think is the greatest
- 25:54similarity between Ahsoka and asajj?
- 25:57Yes, head on over to our socials and let us know what you think.
- 26:00We'd love to hear your opinion. So when it comes to readers
- 26:16comments this week, I have to read the first two comments.
- 26:20We got on our, on our YouTube, because they're very, very
- 26:24similar. And I don't think it's a
- 26:26coincidence. The first comment by m h says, I
- 26:29love Dave through the stories. He tells he is truly a master of
- 26:33Star Wars and our good friend. I were night also says about
- 26:37Dave, I just really love Dave's knack for adventure.
- 26:40Story telling all the plot lines in the clone wars were always so
- 26:43much fun. One and we're never repetitive
- 26:46and see, that's the thing. I think Lauren and I would both
- 26:50agree with our friends who are commenting here on YouTube and
- 26:53across all of our socials that Dave just has a way with
- 26:57storytelling. He has taken some of the most
- 27:00wonderful characters that we know in Star Wars and made them
- 27:04even deeper in even greater and even more heroic and even more
- 27:08evil and he's just excellent at what he does.
- 27:12He's a master at his craft and it shows.
- 27:14In his works, not just in the Clone Wars, but most recently
- 27:18with the Mandalorian and all of the works to come.
- 27:21So thank you. Dave once again and we are so
- 27:24excited to see what the future holds join us next week, because
- 27:33we're going to get a little deep.
- 27:35We're going to get a little depressing.
- 27:37We're going to talk about Obi-Wan and his relationship
- 27:40with Qui-Gon Jinn and how it affected him Alta mately all the
- 27:43way. Through what we know of him as a
- 27:45character in the Star Wars franchise.
- 27:49It's going to be painful, there's some good moments,
- 27:51there's some great moments but it's mostly painted but that's
- 27:55what Star Wars does best. Yes.
- 27:57And the relationship is beautiful.
- 28:00It is and it's weird complexity. It's beautiful and interesting
- 28:06and it's enduring. That's something you can say for
- 28:11sure. I'm really excited to see how
- 28:13it's going to come up in the Kenobi series.
- 28:15Yes. Because oh my God.
- 28:19They got to give us. They got to give us that
- 28:21because, you know, Kenobi just sat on Tatooine watching,
- 28:25Overlook thinking about things the whole time he was there
- 28:28looking over Luke well and that's like, the last thing that
- 28:31you would have says to him in Revenge of the Sith.
- 28:34So we see it. Please like, how he's I have
- 28:37training for you how to connect with Qui gonn?
- 28:39Well, let's see that, please. Yes, please.
