- Alex: Welcome to another edition of the Unsexy Podcast, where we talk about the unsexy side of everything. I forget I haven't like introduced this in my I am Aaron Alex Skinner and my here with my brother Aaron Aaron: Yeah. Alex: Skinner. Look, I haven't introduced in long time and I'm already screwing it up. Today we're finally doing the podcast that everyone has been waiting for: the annoying gym behavior episode. I have a caveat. As I was going through and trying to make a list. Asking what some of the more common ones are, because I was struggling to make the list. I'm like, I really have like three that I'm super passionate about. I realized, you know what? I'm too harsh on my gym. My gym has pretty good gym goers, and for the most part, people don't annoy me. And I just find the little nitpicky things to piss me off. So I apologize for that. And it could be way worse looking at the list that Chat GPT gave me like, People do that at Aaron: Ha ha ha. Alex: the gym? So, anyways, So we're just gonna start going through some of our least favorite things. If one of us says what the other one says, we're going to just skip it from our list and add another one into it. So this is the top five from each of us. do you wanna go first, Eric? Aaron: Yeah, we're start with five. Yeah, because we wanna go to what the number one. Yeah, like Alex: You j just the first one. you wanna go like five like Aaron: we're gonna rank the so this is like of the five, it's my least annoyed part of it. Cause it's probably the least because Alex: Yeah, maybe I sh Yeah, we can do that. Aaron: it happens the least, but when it does happen, it's no bueno. so my number five is smelly guy, so just horrible BO. Or the guy that puts on way too much cologne at the gym. And it's just it just smelly. Alex: So smelly smelly f aromas of all types. Aaron: Yes. Like the especially when it's like the axe brought body spray just brings me right back to high school. Like who's who's still using axe? Why are we still using this? Why are we why is this Alex: Jim Goers. Aaron: a thing? I I I I don't understand I I think it's like one of those like it's a substitute for taking a shower, maybe. But I see dudes when I go into the go use the bathroom, this is like a completely different one, but I do want a little caveat to that. Like when I do go to use the bathroom, because I only use it to pee, this is gonna be a a hot take. You can't take a dump in the bathroom. You take a dump at your house. I'll tell you why. Because the the bathrooms and gyms have showers with them too. It gets steamy, it gets muggy in there. And when I go to just take a quick pee and I gotta smell your dirty, or like of course it's dirtier, your super smelly shit. It's the worst. Does that happen all the time? But when it does happen, I'm like, my god. Alex: Kill me. Aaron: Could you not take take a dump at your house? I don't know. I just I I don't that's that Alex: Like a normal person. Aaron: so that's my my side. So that maybe that's my 5B, but my main one is the the the just BO. BO is by far the worst of the two. I'd rather have someone just be drenched in cologne than than have a horrible body odor. There was a dude. Luckily, it's number five because it does not happen very often, but there was a guy that I could smell like I could smell him. So we are we have like the cable system and it's pretty wide. It's probably like, I don't know, 20 feet, 20 feet wide with all the different cable pulleys and stuff like that. It's like the one that we did at EOS or was it not EOS? whatever. Is it EOS? Alex: Eos yeah, Eos, Eos, yeah, yeah, yeah. Aaron: so it's pretty wide. I was on one end, he was on the other. I could smell him f 20 feet away. And I'm not this isn't hyperbole. I was just like, luckily they have other machines, cable machines. So I just walked and did it over there. But come on, what what are we doing here? What are we doing here, super smelly guy? So that's my number five. Alex: I don't know if I've had any smelly I I've been the smelly guy. I got a Aaron: Ha ha ha. Alex: I from my old apartment, they sent out a formal message to me saying that I needed to shower or try to reduce the amount of smell that I had. And my response to them was I will I will do it. I'm still going to smell. At this time I was super into running. And I would run ten to twelve miles a day. Aaron: Jesus. Alex: I know. It was very short, short lived thing. It was probably for like six months I was like doing all this like running crap. And I was just like, it I I am smelly because essentially all of the good smells that I had on my body get washed away in the first couple of miles and then stench just is going to Aaron: With sweat. Alex: is going to come. And then like nothing ever like came of it again. And what pissed me off more than anything is I would intentionally go at like five AM so that there weren't anybody wasn't anyone there. And then like this group of people would show up around like five forty-five, six. around that time. I'm just like, I don't know. I can't I I I can only come so early. Don't know what to don't know what to tell you guys. Good times. Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't think th this wasn't because the guy was rutting. This was because the guy Alex: No, no, no. I don't, I don't. Aaron: didn't shower and he was, I mean, the like, god, it was so bad. I'm luckily I don't know if I've ever seen that guy again. Maybe it's just a one off, but man, he smelled really bad. And it happens every once in a while too. You'll get a whiff of someone just like, ugh, but it's not that bad. But yeah, just, you know, have a little little good hygiene before you come to the gym. Alex: mine is going to be so we're doing like the what's hard about this is Okay, I'll just go this way. Doing a single cable exercise in the double cable exercise zone when there are single exercise cables available. I understand if someone's doing a single, someone's doing a single. Like let's just imagine it's a four-cable setup. Single, single, and then double in the middle. Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. Alex: If someone's on this side, if someone's on this side, all right. The only thing available is for you to use those two in the middle. But when that one of those is open and I see you doing some, and this is when I'm witnessing the entire the entirety of it because I'm like I'm already scouting out machines for like my next Aaron: Yes. Alex: set or next exercise that I'm going to do. Aaron: Yes. Yeah. Alex: I makes me livid. I'm just like, you're you you're just doing you're just doing some tricep extensions or whatever the F they're called. Go to Aaron: Yeah. Yes, yes. Alex: the other side because I need to do some behind the back biceps, I need to do some c pull crossover pulls. Now Aaron: I see what you're saying. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Alex: I'm gonna have to wait until you are done with your your exercise. And Aaron: I see what you're saying. Alex: it was open the entire time and you just chose one of these two. I don't get it. I don't understand why people do it. Aaron: Is it 'cause there's there's no excuse but the only thing I can think of is is the mirror like right there. Is there a mirror the entire thing? Alex: No. The f that that side is in a full mirror. Like it has it for every single side. Like a and the Aaron: Is there a is there a Alex: irony, the person I'm talking about, it was from today, wasn't facing Aaron: Yeah. Alex: the mirror. So like I'm I I struggle to figure it out too. I'm just like, my gosh, just go anywhere else. Aaron: I'll tell you what it is, Alex. It's they weren't thinking. That's there's like I'm just the only thing I was like, I'm gonna go do this, Alex: I'm just gonna do it right here. Aaron: boom, I'm gonna do it. I'm not thinking about anyone else. And not in like a malicious way, but it's probably just like, I'm this one's the closest one that's open. get your steps in people. Walk to the one that is a single use one. Makes it a little bit easier. okay. My number four. God, this one's tough. I might I'm gonna do it I know you're gonna say it, so I'm gonna do it. because four should probably be three. curling in in front of the dumbbell rack is it was I mean that could be number one because it probably happens the most often. Yeah. Alex: It's funny I'm not going to say that 'cause I knew you were going to say it. Aaron: I because I bitch about it all the time. It's Alex: Yeah. Aaron: not hard. We've talked about it many times. Take two not a lot of people like just take a step back. No, take two steps back. Take two steps back. That gives plenty of room for people to walk around and put their stuff back. It's this is probably one of the most egregious ones because I this is a it should be my number one because I see it all the time. But it's not hard. It's not a hard thing. This is why we're gonna make a video about gym etiquette, because it really it really isn't a big deal. And the like the audacity when you do need to go put your weights back and they're right there, how pissed off they get that you're making a move. It's just like they give you it's like almost always a dir it's never a I'm sorry. The actually I take it's almost never that. Almost, because one time I was going to put it back, the lady's like, I'm sorry. And then I put my weights back, went right back to where she was. Right back to where she was. She didn't learn from the fact that you are in the way. You need to step back. She was a nice lady, she said sorry. But do you really mean sorry if you keep doing the the bad behavior? The answer is no, you weren't sorry. You're a liar and a cheat. Alex: No. Aaron: And I know everything I need to know about you just from this interaction. Alex: And I hope you die. my Aaron: Ha ha ha ha. Alex: god. No, but like thankful my gym is super small, so I go back to like I'm very lucky with the gym that I have, hashtag blessed. I don't run into that as frequently. Like because technically if someone is like lifting in front of the dumbbell rack, it's like because that's the only possible place that I can be doing this right now. Most everyone Aaron: Yes. Alex: just goes behind anyway, and by most everyone, everyone Keeps that area clean. Aaron: Maybe they maybe 'cause you have a good good gym goers that understand that rule. And I Alex: I think we do. I think it's 'cause there's a lot of people who just don't want to piss people off. Aaron: I usually use that caveat too. It's a of like this this doesn't happen every single time I go to Alex: It's a rare. Aaron: the gym. But when it does happen, that probably happens the most frequently is that that and my my number one. God, please don't steal it. I'm gonna say it anyways, even if you do steal it. Alex: Dun wait, you're doing it right now? Aaron: No, no, no, no, no. I'm just saying I like that my number one is the one that pisses me off the most and probably is actually the most frequent. but yeah, even I guess if you say it I I can I can do my rant on it too. So Yeah, that was my number four. Stop curling right in front of the dumbbell rack. Please, two steps, not one, two steps back. Thank you. Alex: This goes in. This goes this is not actually. I was gonna say this is similar to what you just had. my number four, overcrowding. I this I hope people listen to this be like, dude, fuck you. small Aaron: Yeah. Alex: small gyms are for serious people. Go get a big gym membership if you were just passing time and try trying to like go go sit on a piece of equipment or they have more chairs available at larger gyms like Vasa or EOS or 24 hour fitness. I I I I just I see way too many people who like come in like it's a check mark thing. Aaron: With no plan Alex: Like th it's just like this is the thing I came today, so now I'm healthy. Aaron: Yeah yes yes yes yes yes yeah Alex: And you're taking up a machine. Aaron: yeah Alex: And so that's really what my issue is with it. Where I'm just like, I just I try to be as efficient as possible with all of my time. Like I got my rest sets. I know that like I have to rest between things, yada yada yada. But if you were just like trying to check something off, and I know the reason that people go to my gym is because it's incredibly cheap, especially if you get a Aaron: Mm-hmm. Alex: family pass, it's like Dude, if you have six a family of six, you can get a gym membership for five hundred dollars for the year. So it's like, well, that's well, plus all their other crap that they have, like basketball Aaron: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Alex: courts, you got the pool that you can go to during the summer. So that's eighty dollars. So what is that? Seven dollars a month for each family member, if like you end up doing that? Not bad at all. So that's why I know people Aaron: That's yeah, that's really good. That is really good. You have a basketball court? Alex: we got Three, one of which is c always covered with gymnastics equipment. Aaron: Rate. Alex: And I got a you know what this is a honorable mention. People going around asking for petitions to be signed at during Aaron: What? Alex: gym time happened today. Lady came by, like, hey, are do you support us having like a pickleball court in here? I was like, Because you're doing this right now, like no. And then so this is like a total aside, sorry everybody. And then they had like, Hey, are you okay with pickleball courts? I'm just like, Yeah, I don't fine. Yeah, play pickleball. I don't really care. Aaron: Sure. Yeah. Alex: And then they had a second question that was like, Are you okay with people bringing their family members during non-member hours? So like we have member hours from five to nine, I think it is, or something like that. So Aaron: Uhhuh. Alex: only people who have a membership, it's open to the public to come in and pay your ten dollars a day to come use the gym. I'm like, why are these two things together? I was like, no, definitely not okay with that. Why would I be okay with that, with g getting rid of gym member hours? Anyways, so that's my number four, overcrowding. Aaron: No, dude. No. Nope. No. No, no, no. I I no. I'm going. I'm I I have to go off your tangent. you I hope you didn't sign it, which you said you didn't. Because let me tell you what will happen. This was my number one complaint of the other gym that I went to. Our basketball court turned into a pickleball court. And I could never go and play basketball. They were always playing pickleball. And we have an aunt who's amazing at pickleball, who's passionate about it. There's nothing against you. But I hate pickleball because of that. I literally won't play it because they pissed me off so much. It's like I just I want to go get up some shots, you know? And they would take it was a like a full size gym, like a a huge full full court, and they had let's see, so there'd be six hoops. So you have the side ones and then the the two on the end. and they would take up the entire entire gym for hours. Hours. And like like I remember I had to go look at the stupid calendar. I had to get there at like five o'clock in the morning if I want to get shots up. I'm like, come on, man. I can't have one of like the side ones or like the end ones and I won't be in your no. Sorry. Fuck pickleball. Alex: I I now I'm like nervous about it 'cause everyone was saying yes to it. Aaron: Have fun not getting shots up ever again. Cause that's gonna become everyone's gonna want to pickleball and it's just like, it looks like pickleball is from eight AM to eight PM. I hope everyone loves pickleball. Like, I would just wanna go shoot. I just so maybe go maybe start your own petition. Alex: I'm not stoked about what what just transpired right now. Thankfully, Aaron: I'm telling you. Alex: I haven't been shooting as much because I feel like that's part of the problem with my with my arm. So we'll Aaron: With your forearm. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Alex: see what happens. Aaron: All right, dude. My number three is kind of the what you said, but not. people talking just talking in general to each other or on their phone in between sets for an un unreasonable amount of time. And I'm talking about super unreasonable. There was a piece of equipment I wanted to use and This wasn't someone scrolling. It was just someone talking to their friend, not even next to the equipment. They were talking for 15 minutes. 15 almost 20. Because I I had finished two of my other exercises and was keeping an eye on it to see if the guy was gonna finish because I'm a I'm a kind of a creature of habit. And like whatever my list is, I want to do them in that order. and I was putting that on I had to keep putting it off, keep putting it off, keep putting it off. And the I ended up just going and just doing something completely different because I don't know the he never left. He never left. He was there the end. I I don't know. So you wanna know what he was there for five hours. I have no idea. He was there for at least 20 minutes because it was towards the end of my my session. And I was like, fuck this. I'm just gonna go do a completely different exercise and it's fine. But like you don't you don't get to do that. You don't get to have like hold the equipment hostage while you're having a conversation about whatever. If you want to have a conversation, I have no problem with that people like conversing in the gym. I'm not a psycho. But like unrack your weights, go off and go talk for 20 to 30 minutes. Like, God, that pisses me off. And then the scroll like people that just sit there and they're on their phone for a long time. I don't honestly see that as much. I see the people that like to start chit-chatting in between their sets, and it's a long, long time. Alex: That was one of mine. and literally that was my next one. Talking to s Aaron: Yes Yes Alex: talking to someone while using equipment. The set this set just went from normal to add five minutes. All right, so yeah. Aaron: Minimum. Minimum. Alex: Yeah. Aaron: I've never seen it where someone starts talking to each other and it's five minutes. Like I I've seen it for dozens. Dozens of minutes. Alex: Dude. Well, what's awesome is I know that you're going to do the next two that I have. So I should probably just I'll save some of these aren't my number one like essentially the ones that I had as honorable mentions are going to be my number ones. So here it is. Aaron: Yes. Okay. Alex: multi-machine dumbbell or dumbbell use during busy times. So when I see people like, all right, cool. And I'm always like, What is your freaking workout plan? 'Cause like I'll see people doing like I'm gonna do some gonna do some bicep curls right here, and then I'm gonna go over and do some Some bicep curls on the on the machine. I'm just like, how does I don't see how that is helping you at all because there's no rest set, there's no rest between it. Anyways, doesn't really matter. and it's not just that. Like you'll see people who are like, I'm using the dumb, I'm using the squat rack, and then I'm gonna do some some use some dumbbells for you guys can't see what I'm doing, just here to be make noise. Aaron: HAHH Alex: what are those called? Like motor. Lawnmowers. Like doing lawnmowers or or things like that. Like, all right, cool, Aaron: Are you talking yes, yeah, yeah. Yes. Alex: I'm working the back and I'm working my legs. And it's very, very much a caveat like when it's busy. Like you get one thing when it's busy. I I'm sorry, I know like the weights might be available in there at that given time, but you have no idea who is gonna be coming into next four, whatever the thing is. And I would almost say this is similar to like something we've complained about before where it's like the group of like five people using five things at once and just going Aaron: Yes. Alex: and doing like a round robin that makes no sense for a workout either. just in case that was gonna be one of yours, so I can eliminate that too. But no, multi machine dumbbells like Aaron: Well Alex: It really pisses me off. Aaron: Well your your honorable mention is my number one. so I'll have to Alex: no, no, no. Sorry. So I ended up using that one. I I mean my honorable mentions are gonna be my number ones because I knew you were gonna ha like the these two Aaron: okay, good. Alex: I know you're gonna have. Aaron: gotcha. Okay. Yeah, that so I'll go to my number the my number two then. My number two, and you're probably this is probably ones you do have, is not rewa re racking your fucking weights. My god is it so inefficient. The main reason it pisses me off isn't in all honesty, isn't it because I have to unrack their weights? Like that's a slight annoyance. It's more because I don't know if the machine's being used or not. That's like my real big annoyance. So I'm like, I gotta keep an eye on it. Is I like 'cause you know, I'm do when I'm doing my set, I'm not just gonna be w like looking over and sometimes it's like behind you, so you're not gonna be doing that. So I don't know if the guy wouldn't did Alex: Paying attention, yeah. Aaron: it and then as soon as I got done, he went and did his like walk around or whatever. I don't know. and so there's just too much confusion when people don't re rack their weights. First of all, you should do it just because it's the right thing to do. And it's like I shouldn't have to unrack your weights, you lazy piece of shit. It's it's like, sorry, are you not at the gym to lift weights? If you were strong enough to put those weights on, you are strong enough to take them off. Unless you went out of the gym in an ambulance, no excuse for not re-racking your weights. There's no excuse. It's so inconvenient. I hate these people. Again, I know who who this person is as a person, just by the fact that they don't re-rack their weights. There's a gap in the gym. I don't like. I just saw him do it once and I've hated him ever since. Probably like a super nice guy. Alex: Ha Aaron: But I saw him just like, God, you're the not re-rack weight guy. And he I he doesn't do it every time, but I just I I noticed that he did it once and was like, I I'm never gonna like you. I wish we became friends because then I could call him out on it. But yeah. Alex: Okay, I just wanna talk to you really quick. Like, what's this about? Aaron: No, I'd get to know them. Our our our family would become friends. We'd vacation together. And then all of a sudden I'd just bring it. Remember that one time? It's probably multiple times. Like, what if I didn't re-rack your weights? Yeah, fuck you, man. And then I just leave. And then I'd leave. It's gonna be it's gonna be a long, a long burn. but no. So that's that's my number two is is not re-w not re-racking your weights. Please re-rack them. There's signs everywhere, all over. All over the gym that tell you to do that. Alex: All it says. so that actually is not on mine. The reason it's not on mine, I don't have to deal with that. Like the people Aaron: Never happens. Alex: at my gym are so good at it. They're so good at it. Like everyone re-racks their almost annoyingly, because there's like sometimes there's like just leave the 45s on the on the leg press. Like everyone can do 90-pound leg press. Anyone that's Aaron: Leg press. Yeah. Yeah. Alex: doing it, and honestly, you could probably leave two on there, but like, nope, it's always empty. It's you know, I'd rather it be empty than people leaving tons and tons of weight on. So I'll take it. Aaron: Yeah. In fact, if I'm a guy, if had like an eye on a machine this happened yesterday, the day before yesterday. there was a guy doing leg press. I was doing another thing, keeping an eye on it. And then as soon as I saw him start wiping down the the equipment, I just walked over like, Are you done? You don't have to re-reck it. Don't don't re-rack it. Because he had I think like four plates on there. I was like, just just leave it on. You're good. He's like, cool, thanks, man. I was like, I'm a hero I was a hero. I was a hero because he didn't have to re-reck his weights. Alex: Yeah. And you're not g and no one's gonna give you a medal, even though you did deserve it. you know what, we could probably call up Trump on that. He just seems to be just giving stuff away for free, so par pardon. What? For what? Aaron: I would like a presidential what is it? The presidential s free No, just give you a like a a pre pardon. That's what I want. I wanna get out of a jail free card. Alex: never mind. Aaron: You listen. I know. I know he's listening. Alex: Not gonna say anything. all right. So good. I get to get so I get to do my one. this is my biggest thing. It's because it's the thing that happens the most often at my gym, it almost doubles with the overcrowding that I already have on here. Long rests between sets or not even starting your sets for a long period of time because you're just on your phone thinking of a very specific person at my gym. I I think he is like the only person who does it. It doesn't help that he is a fat ass and it like makes me even Aaron: WHAT Alex: more upset 'cause I'm like, dude, you and it's not because I'm letting's like, fat ass, I don't want fat asses here. It's more just like, you need to be working out, man. And when I whenever I see you, I'm there like they usually show up about thirty minutes after me. Like the thirty minutes that I'm watching you, I have seen you do four sets. Maybe. Maybe four sets. I don't think I don't think you're losing weight any time soon, bud. like that Aaron: It Alex: not not at that rate. Aaron: is he's the st the check mark guy. Alex: Yeah, he's just there and like he comes with his wife and I know his wife is probably like, Hey, we need to get healthy because you broke your foot because you're fat. I I don't know if that's actually the case, but Aaron: Yeah. Alex: like he has like he has a walking boot, but it's like, I bet you has something to do with you being overweight. I I'm sure that's not the case. Aaron: He's like he's like, I was rescuing a child from a burning house. Alex: Yeah. And so I think his wife is like trying to encourage she's there like almost every day. and then he'll show up on occasion. Then whenever he does, it's it's usually two one of two things. Usually just like a an in like a bench that you can adjust that he'll sit down on, which sucks because we only have three of those. Or it will be the pull, like when you're sitting you sit down and like pull towards you, a quick cable pull, Aaron: Yeah, yeah, yeah. The cable, yeah. Yep. Yeah. Alex: which is only annoying for me on back day. so like whenever I s It's it's I know everybody's schedule, it's or like their routines now at this point. Aaron: Their routine. Alex: So I'm just like, you you're not gonna get my way today. Like because I'm doing this Aaron: Yeah. Alex: I'm doing this exercise. So you can sit there for as long as you want. Fantastic. But that would be it. pe people Aaron: It only annoys me when it affects me. Alex: yeah, seriously. Seriously though. Just like you can sit there. I d I don't care. And as long as I don't need that machine. And like another guy, I I because I know his routine, like I'll mix up mine just like, I gotta get to the fly machine right now because you Aaron: Yes. Alex: once you're done with that, you're gonna go to the fly machine. I'll be done with it faster than you are, and I'll give it right back to you. Aaron: I just think it's it's the you have a finite amount of time at the gym and anything that like messes with that is gonna be a massive annoyance. So it's like like my number like my number five one was just somebody being stinky. The rest of them are just people being in the way and taking up time. so my number one was the superset one, but since you already said that, I just I Alex: Yes. Aaron: but I I didn't get to bitch about it. Alex: Yeah. Aaron: we need to make supersets just illegal in general. I there needs to be the Trump, I know Trump's listening. Alex: Once again, Mr. Trump, if you're listening. Yep. Aaron: Please sign a presidential decree or whatever those are called, banning supersets. They don't need they don't need to happen. Supersets don't need to happen. And especially like you said, Alex, when it's a it's busy, you don't get to superset. And it max max, even if the gym's empty, you can do two machines. But I don't even like that. I just don't like I ha It's just it's so annoying. God, I hate super because it's happened to me too where the person's not on it. So I go to a user's like, dude, I I'm still using that mic. And I see him over on another bit. I'm like, what the my god, you're super setting. Go fuck yourself, man. I've never done a superset. I never will do a superset. and it's mainly just because I respect people's time and I don't want to be in people's way if I don't have to be. So That is all right, so that's that was my number one, but I'm gonna change that to this is one this one really isn't my number one, but I'll change it to what did I have? Something else that kind of annoys me. well this never I was like giving unsolicited advice. That's never happened to me. none of these. I'll actually I I'll I'll do this. Actually, luckily this doesn't happen in my gym, but just for the people who would be annoyed by this, filming in the gym. and this might sound like I'm a giant hypocrite because I also film in the gym. But I go at midnight when literally no one's there. Alex: Time and place. Aaron: I go at that specific time because I know no one's there. I don't have to worry no one has to be worried about getting being in the background on one my videos. I I don't even care if people walk through. Like if I was filming something, people walk through, like, whatever, you have a bunch of reps you're doing, you could you can edit that out. It's more of just so I don't annoy people. That's literally the only reason I go that late to do those videos. is so I'm not in anyone's way and no one has to feel uncomfortable that I'm filming while that's happening. Luckily for me at that gym, you're actually not supposed to film, but the fact I'm there at midnight, no one said anything to me. Alex: Yeah. Aaron: but yeah, that's are you do you people film in your gym? I'm assuming no. If you already said that people are really nice, no one's filming. Alex: No in films. Aaron: but yeah I haven't I have not seen I have not seen that happen In my there's a I see a one chick who's filming, but she was doing it very discreetly, and it didn't really like bother me, but just in general, when you s yes, yeah, yeah, exactly. God, I was I Alex: And tasteful and they're tasteful nudes. That's all anyone really cares about. Aaron: was gonna get into something, but I don't want to. Alex: Yeah. Aaron: not about working out nude at the gym. Alex: Yeah. Aaron: yeah, so that's I guess that's my fake number one, but my real number one is supersets. Ban supersets, ban enough. Alex: Alright, so everything is gone now for me. So I have to do one of my whatever it's called. Aaron: I should've done that one. I take it back real quick while you're looking for it. Not wiping out equipment. Were you gonna say that one? Alex: Dude, like, see that's what's crazy. Like that's what I love about mine. Like people are you know, I you could say maybe they wipe their equipment down too much. Because I'm getting some of that stank on my back, getting some of that Lysol smell. And and I'm slipping and sliding on it. Sometimes I'll fall off. Like Aaron: the the Lysol stuff, yeah. Alex: we maybe we're putting a little too much at the gym, but I know what I'd rather have too much than not any at all. Aaron: This wouldn't be this is like the reason I'd even mention this one, because it's so rare that this happens. But there's a guy, God, there's actually so many I could think of. Do doing the sauna before you start working out, like, fuck you, don't do that. Like, but that's what it had happened. So the the only thing I can Alex: That's crazy. That's crazy. That's crazy. Aaron: think of is that the guy came out of the sauna, just soaking in sweat, went and used one of the pieces of equipment, and then got up and went to the next one. Like, come on, dude. You're like Literally pouring sweat and they're just like the outline was was there. I like, Well, I'm not using that. Like, fuck that. that was that was annoying. Alex: Dude, I have no respect for anybody that does that. As someone who just recently was using the sauna and I'm just like, I drenched in I'm just drenched and disgusting now. Just drenched and disgusting. Aaron: yes, yes, yes. Alex: Like, what are people doing? What are we like what are we doing, people? Like, what hap what what happened to us as a nation? Aaron: We need to do we need to do one on etiquette of the sauna as well. We could do an o we could do an entire one on that. Alex: so my number one, and once again this was an honorable mention and I didn't expect to have to say it today is checking me out and not complimenting me. No kind words, no Aaron: Yeah. Alex: long stares. I can tell the difference between zone out and checkout. because there are people who like will zone out and just like that person's totally zoning out. And because like a Aaron: Yeah. Alex: zone out is Aaron: Yeah, I should Alex: Everyone if you're not watching, I'm just staring at the camera. Looks like it's someone just like like that's zoning out. Like the people who are looking Aaron: I'm uncomfortable. Alex: to the side and then looking back, looking back, then you look for like a long period of time, eyes are moving. It's usually the eyes have to be moving. Someone's like, if your eyes are moving, let's let's it's so because it's one of two things. You're Aaron: You can't zone out with moving eyes. Alex: either criticizing how I'm doing something, like you're just like, This guy's lifting wrong. So come come give me some unsolicited advice. or maybe you're like liking something that you see. You don't get to look at me and Aaron: Yeah. Alex: not and not tell me why you're looking at me. And yes, this is. is mostly dudes and I'm fine with that. It's always guys. It's always dudes. Aaron: it's always guys. It's always guys. That's like my wife is convinced I'm constantly getting hit on at the gym. The only person that ever says anything to me are are guys. Alex: No, I don't think I've ever I don't think any woman has ever talked to me at the gym. Dudes talk to me a lot. More and more more and more guys are talking to me. It's don't know if I like it or not 'cause like Well, 'cause there's just sometimes Aaron: It becomes a problem. It becomes a problem. Alex: I was like, I d I get s nervous about the whole are we gonna have to like f fake, become friends and have fake conversations every day? Because I don't wanna do that. I Aaron: Dude, that it happened to me the other day. The guy came up to me. I I'd seen him for a long time at the gym. He's like, Hey, I'm I'm gonna say Charles, just in case he's listening. Hey, I'm Charles. Alex: I'm Charles in charge. Aaron: Nice, nice to meet you. I was like, what's your name? He's like, I'm like, okay. I was like, you know, had a little bench of like 30 seconds. I like, do I have to say hi to this guy every day now? Like, I mean I do. I'm just like, hey, and like, but I'm not afraid about saying hi. I mean you should be courteous. You should say, Hey, what's up? And then but I'm more afraid of, are we gonna have start talking every day? I I'm I just wanna go to the gym and work out. I don't wanna Sounds so douchey, but I don't wanna make friends. I just wanna go there and work out, g be as efficient as possible and get out of there. I'm gonna be nice the entire time I'm there. If someone says hi, I'm obviously gonna say hi back. but I just I just keep to myself that's so Alex: Yeah, there's a most of the thankfully there's like an introduction like, Hey, I'm this guy or I'm this is my name. Hi, I'm so Aaron: Yes. Alex: and so. And then it's just from then on out, it's usually just like a fist bump thing. I'm just like, Okay, I can do that. I can do the Aaron: I'm good with that, yeah. Alex: I could do the Okay, cool. Yeah, hey, it's good to see ya brother. Good to see ya brother. Like lots of Hulk Hogan's at the gym. Lots of so Aaron: Yeah, I have I have some Yes. Yes. I lots of lots of fist bumps. I'm fine with doing the fist bumping. That's totally fine. But as long as that's all it is, the only time I want somebody to talk to me is if they're asking me if I'm using a piece of equipment. That's the only time I'm okay with somebody asking me, and it's like 99% of the time I'm not. It just happens to be something that's next to me. I should be like, I'm not a super setting asshole. So you know if I'm using this, this is the only thing I'm using. You don't have to ask if I'm using something else. I'm only using the piece of equipment that I am on at the time. Alex: Not that I think anyone would actually look at these, but do you think there'd be like benefit to to like people how would I say this? almost like having like profiles, like profiles of each pr of each person, so you just kinda know what their what their style and workout Aaron: Like a rating? Alex: schedule is like. So yeah, so just like here are the rules I might break sometimes and never break. Obviously that wouldn't work and no one would actually would actually look at it, but I think it could be a little bit helpful. Aaron: That would be interesting. That Alex: Or it's just like, okay, Aaron: would be interesting. Alex: we all like we know each other a little bit better today. Aaron: It would a hundred percent just be a bunch of negativity, is all it is. Like I it'd be interesting to see what like was 'cause I'm sure there's something that I do that annoys somebody. so it would be and then I could be annoyed that they're annoyed by that. I don't know. Alex: Yeah. Yeah, awesome. I actually wait a second, really quick before I sign off. Yeah, the only other one that I had, I should just sign off. It's just like I wish there was a way you could just select certain people to no longer be able to come to the gym. Or like put it up to a vote that that person could no longer go to the gym anonymously. Because I don't want like Aaron: Yes. Alex: any retribution. If this dude's like a super popular person, I don't want it like coming back on me where it's like, well, we like this guy outside of the gym. Yes, he sucks here, but outside of the gym, we like him more than you. Aaron: Yes. Great guy. Yeah. Alex: Anyways. All right, everybody. Well, thanks for listening today. We will chat with you all next week and go be unsexy, everybody.
