  We're very excited today, not only because we're continuing on this brand new

  season of season nine of the podcast, but because we're launching something brand new.

  It is another series, a series that I have been praying about for quite some

  time, and it's called Faith in Today's World. That's right.

  Every week, we'll take something people are talking about, whether it's technology,

  relationships, mental health, social media, or culture, and ask one important question.

  What does God say about it? Today, we're starting with one of the most biggest
• 2:22
  conversations happening around the world, artificial intelligence.

  We know it as AI. Some people love it.
• 2:31
  Some people are afraid of it. And some people use it every single day.

  So the question is, well, the question isn't really, is AI good or bad?

  The real question is, can technology bring us closer to God or can it slowly pull us away?

  Let's be honest. You've probably used AI already this week, maybe to write an

  email, maybe to search for an answer, maybe to help with school,
• 2:59
  maybe to help plan a vacation.

  Maybe you even ask AI to explain a Bible verse.

  Technology is moving faster than ever before.
• 3:09
  But here's something worth remembering. Technology has always changed. God hasn't.

  Hebrews chapter 13, verse 8. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

  Technology updates. Phones update. Apps update.
• 3:29
  AI updates. God never needs an update.
• 3:33
  Now, I'm going to be honest with you. I use AI. It helps me organize ideas.

  Sometimes I do some research topics and I prepare episode thumbnails,

  which is what creates the picture art.
• 3:45
  Sometimes it even helps me see some things from another perspective.

  But here's something AI will never be able to do. AI can't pray for me.

  AI can't forgive my sins. AI can't replace the Holy Spirit.

  And AI can't comfort me the way God does.

  AI can provide information. Only God provides transformation.

  There's a big difference.

  I've been working on this podcast for nine years. There's a day,
• 4:15
  there's not a day that goes by
• 4:16
  when I don't say, wow, nine years There are days when ideas come quickly,
• 4:21
  And there are days when they don't Sometimes I use technology to organize my thoughts,

  But before I hit record, I still pray about it I ask God to guide my words because
• 4:33
  I never want technology to become louder than his words.

  Louder than his voice. So here's today's faith challenge for all of you.

  Before you ask Google, before you ask AI, before you ask social media,
• 4:50
  spend five minutes asking God, pray first.
• 4:54
  Then use the tools he's given you. Technology should support your faith. Never replace it.

  The Bible never says technology is evil, but it does remind us where our trust belongs.

  In Psalms chapter 20, it says, Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
• 5:14
  but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

  Today, we might say, Some trust in algorithms,
• 5:23
  some trust in artificial intelligence, but we trust in the Lord.

  Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us wisdom to create amazing
• 5:33
  technology. Help us to use every tool for good.

  But remember and remind us that every day that no invitation,
• 5:41
  no computer, no AI or artificial intelligence can ever replace our relationship with you.

  Help us seek your voice before every other voice, guide our hearts,
• 5:53
  strengthen our faith, and help us be light in today's world.
