- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Almost Famous Podcast with iHeartRadio. All Right,
- 0:05Speaker 1: Hi everyone, It's Trista and Bob and we are here
- 0:10Speaker 1: for the Almost Famous og podcast. Ready to have a
- 0:14Speaker 1: really fun episode.
- 0:16Speaker 2: I'm so excited to talk to our guests today.
- 0:18Speaker 1: We'll get into that in second, but we wanted to
- 0:21Speaker 1: let you all know that Almost Famous is doing something
- 0:25Speaker 1: new this year.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I think this is the first year. Right, do you
- 0:28Speaker 2: think this is the first time they've ever done this?
- 0:31Speaker 3: I think so. I mean these are kind of like superlatives, right,
- 0:34Speaker 3: I think it's fun. So did you win any of these?
- 0:37Speaker 3: And you're when you were like in high school and
- 0:39Speaker 3: stuff like that before you oh superlatives?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Oh gosh, I did.
- 0:46Speaker 1: I think I did, but I honestly cannot remember because
- 0:50Speaker 1: you know, bad memory and I'm fifty two years old.
- 0:53Speaker 4: But the baby.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Baby. But they are doing the Almost Famous Podcast Awards,
- 1:04Speaker 1: and we just got the list of the nominees. I
- 1:09Speaker 1: think that Bob has a bone to pick with some you.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Know, I wouldn't say it's a bone to pick. I
- 1:15Speaker 3: would have just thought out of a courtesy, even if
- 1:19Speaker 3: the person writing these votes down doesn't believe this to
- 1:22Speaker 3: be true, just as a courtesy my name should have
- 1:25Speaker 3: been on there as a Best Bachelor possibility, right, I mean,
- 1:29Speaker 3: like I am part of the Almost Famous podcast team.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Don't you think I'm going to react a certain way
- 1:35Speaker 3: when I read these and I don't see my name.
- 1:39Speaker 1: So obviously Bob's a little upset. But I will say
- 1:44Speaker 1: that one of the categories is best Bromance, and I
- 1:48Speaker 1: will most definitely be voting for you and all of
- 1:52Speaker 1: the guys on my season because it's you and everyone
- 1:56Speaker 1: in my season was nominated for Best Bromance.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Yes, down has to be the winner, Like, come.
- 2:02Speaker 3: On, it has to be. I mean, we were you know.
- 2:04Speaker 3: And I will say this though, you know, that is
- 2:08Speaker 3: one of those things where you know, in all sincerity,
- 2:10Speaker 3: it was so and Ryan and I just talked about
- 2:12Speaker 3: this when we were together again. It was so organic
- 2:16Speaker 3: and just genuinely real that it was like one of
- 2:20Speaker 3: those things where we didn't know we weren't supposed to
- 2:22Speaker 3: get along, We didn't know they were supposed to be tension.
- 2:24Speaker 3: You know. We were like, hey, man, I really like
- 2:27Speaker 3: this dude. I mean, if it can't be me, I
- 2:29Speaker 3: sure hope it's him, you know. And it was genuinely
- 2:32Speaker 3: that feeling of camaraderie and friendship, and so you know,
- 2:35Speaker 3: I can say honestly, I have I personally have watched
- 2:38Speaker 3: most seasons at some point or another. The only time
- 2:40Speaker 3: I've seen anything like it or with the Golden Guys,
- 2:42Speaker 3: I will say that. And and so I think the
- 2:44Speaker 3: only people that will give us a run here on
- 2:46Speaker 3: the mansion men. But if you look at it from
- 2:49Speaker 3: the standpoint of being a little maybe a little more mature,
- 2:52Speaker 3: beyond our age or beyond our years, at that point,
- 2:55Speaker 3: I would have to give hats off to the Trista
- 2:58Speaker 3: Bachelorette Season one guys for that.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Plus, I gotta win something. I mean, if I'm being
- 3:04Speaker 3: iced out on my own award for Bachelor, even though
- 3:07Speaker 3: I have to announce it, at least give me a
- 3:08Speaker 3: chance to win something. Sugarman. God, oh my gosh.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So I thankfully fell on the list of best Bachelorette.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I was a little shocked, to be honest. Yes, I mean.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Good candidates there. There's only four under Bachelor, so so
- 3:29Speaker 3: at least they realized that, hey, at this rate, Trista,
- 3:31Speaker 3: does you know she's going to win a But also
- 3:34Speaker 3: we better that's not true.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I don't you know, It's funny because most of the people, sorry,
- 3:41Speaker 1: most of the people who were will probably vote for
- 3:43Speaker 1: this are way younger than us, So season chances that
- 3:50Speaker 1: me or you and the rest of my cast win
- 3:53Speaker 1: for Best Romance very small. I don't expect that kind
- 3:58Speaker 1: of stuff. But it is really fun and I love
- 4:00Speaker 1: a good award show, and I love that this is
- 4:03Speaker 1: all about the Bachelor, So thank you for almost famous
- 4:06Speaker 1: for doing this, and iHeart I.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Gotta find if there's another category we can get Ben nominated,
- 4:12Speaker 3: and there's He's only nominated in a couple, so we're
- 4:14Speaker 3: gonna try and see if we can stack the deck
- 4:16Speaker 3: a little more here. I'll work on this. Yeah, he's
- 4:20Speaker 3: under Best Romance. Also, that's nice, so he'll probably win
- 4:23Speaker 3: that one. Yeah, you know, it's nice. It's nice to
- 4:25Speaker 3: see his name in there a lot. So anyway, what
- 4:27Speaker 3: are you saying? I'm sorry, I got a little concerned
- 4:35Speaker 3: enough about enough about no one talking about me. Let's
- 4:38Speaker 3: not talk about.
- 4:39Speaker 2: It, Okay.
- 4:40Speaker 1: So voting is open until September eleventh, so go on
- 4:44Speaker 1: and vote. We will both be posting on our socials
- 4:47Speaker 1: if you want to figure it out. But you can
- 4:48Speaker 1: find all the information. I'm sure on the almost famous
- 4:52Speaker 1: Instagram page.
- 4:53Speaker 3: There are some really good ones in here as well.
- 4:55Speaker 3: I mean, one of the things I love, and this
- 4:58Speaker 3: is something we had talked about previously, was what is
- 5:01Speaker 3: this one? This one is worst line ever said? And
- 5:05Speaker 3: it was, Oh gosh, it's so cringe worthy. Man, I
- 5:09Speaker 3: remember it so well, I swear I remember this one
- 5:12Speaker 3: goes yesterday where Jake Pavelka is talking and he's talking
- 5:16Speaker 3: about her, you know, interrupting her, and he starts to
- 5:19Speaker 3: talk and she says something because will you stop interrupting me?
- 5:22Speaker 3: She says, like, that's it my mother here. It was
- 5:25Speaker 3: so oh my god. I remember watching it like it
- 5:29Speaker 3: was like watching the OJ thing when he's driving down
- 5:31Speaker 3: the highway doing seven miles an hour. I was just
- 5:33Speaker 3: like my mouth was wide open, going, what in the
- 5:35Speaker 3: hell is happening here? I remember that so well.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Yeah, totally well.
- 5:40Speaker 1: And I do have to say we just got well,
- 5:43Speaker 1: not just we were in Tahoe recently for the almost
- 5:47Speaker 1: famous pickleball event.
- 5:48Speaker 2: That was so much fun. I had the best time.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it's always great to just get together with you know,
- 5:57Speaker 1: our bachelor family and also some housewives and yeah, oh gosh,
- 6:05Speaker 1: and just the almost famous crew, like all of the
- 6:07Speaker 1: people who work.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Behind the scenes. It was so much fun. It was great,
- 6:14Speaker 2: so and thank you.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Thank you for doing all that too. I mean, Christy,
- 6:17Speaker 3: you had such a great idea with this whole thing.
- 6:19Speaker 3: And you know, I'm saying thank you to our team,
- 6:22Speaker 3: Like they got out there and they set this thing up,
- 6:25Speaker 3: and you would have thought that they had been planning
- 6:28Speaker 3: a pick a ball tournament for, you know, five years.
- 6:30Speaker 3: The way that this thing went off without a hitch,
- 6:31Speaker 3: it was unbelievable and means so much fun. And the
- 6:35Speaker 3: what I think is really great too is how Amy
- 6:38Speaker 3: and her team come up with awards. Oh wait, sorry, no,
- 6:42Speaker 3: that's not the one. How Amy and her team. What
- 6:46Speaker 3: I think is super great is how Amy and her
- 6:47Speaker 3: team find a really healthy mix of people, Like it's
- 6:50Speaker 3: always a few different people here and there, and most
- 6:53Speaker 3: of them are people that I'm meeting for the first
- 6:55Speaker 3: time in a lot of circumstances, and it's always a
- 6:57Speaker 3: nice blend. Like it's really great. I just I mean,
- 7:00Speaker 3: they're really good, really great at that. And that's a
- 7:02Speaker 3: lot of fun. And thank you guys for all your
- 7:04Speaker 3: hard work.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Yes, thank you for everybody. We had a great time
- 7:08Speaker 1: on the boat. We had a great time playing pickle.
- 7:11Speaker 1: We had a great time just hanging out of the
- 7:13Speaker 1: house and eating some great food. Yes, but the boat.
- 7:17Speaker 1: We'll talk about the boat because the boat was owned
- 7:21Speaker 1: or is owned by somebody that you all have probably
- 7:26Speaker 1: seen before if you watched the show in the og days.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yes, So we sat.
- 7:33Speaker 1: And watched this video in Tahoe, me and you and Deanna,
- 7:37Speaker 1: and oh my gosh, it brought back so many memories
- 7:42Speaker 1: because it was actually during the show that we're going
- 7:46Speaker 1: to bring on, you know, the guests that was on
- 7:48Speaker 1: the show that they announced my season of The Bachelorette,
- 7:53Speaker 1: and me and Chris had a little sit down chat.
- 7:56Speaker 1: It was it was just crazy, like putting myself back
- 8:00Speaker 1: in that time of when it was being announced, because gosh,
- 8:04Speaker 1: it's been a really long time and just all the
- 8:08Speaker 1: feels that came along with it.
- 8:10Speaker 3: You know, I will say this, you were so spunky.
- 8:12Speaker 3: You were so spunky in your interview, and so so
- 8:16Speaker 3: much has changed, but so much has stayed the same.
- 8:18Speaker 3: You know, like you look so you look exactly like
- 8:22Speaker 3: you are, like still still just funny and spunky as ever,
- 8:25Speaker 3: and that and that thing I was watching it, and
- 8:27Speaker 3: I was like, you know, it's no question why America
- 8:29Speaker 3: fell in love with you, Trista, like and that in
- 8:31Speaker 3: that little video thing and you're sitting there talking to
- 8:34Speaker 3: Chris and you're being funny and engaging in just your yourself,
- 8:38Speaker 3: which you always are, but it was like, sitting there watching,
- 8:40Speaker 3: I was like, I was like, oh man, yep, I
- 8:42Speaker 3: get it. I remember this now, you know. I was like,
- 8:44Speaker 3: I remember. It took me back as well, you know,
- 8:46Speaker 3: to that whole thing. I love seeing our old friends that,
- 8:50Speaker 3: you know, reproducers on the show back then, like Lisa
- 8:52Speaker 3: Levinson and all the different people that were coming up
- 8:55Speaker 3: and being so funny, Sol, Jason Carbon.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yes, oh yeah, yeah, good, so great, so great, Jubers okay, yes,
- 9:04Speaker 1: oh my gosh. I loved that. I loved seeing their faces.
- 9:08Speaker 1: So we are really excited to chat with one of
- 9:12Speaker 1: the people that was being considered for the Bachelor after
- 9:17Speaker 1: my season. His name is Jason Damachino, I think is
- 9:21Speaker 1: how you correct it, and we'd love to bring him
- 9:24Speaker 1: into the podcast.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Yes, let's let's let's bring them on in. Jason D.
- 9:29Speaker 3: He would have been Jason D in later seasons when
- 9:31Speaker 3: they started.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Name yeah, totally.
- 9:35Speaker 3: What I thought was so great about Jason was We're
- 9:37Speaker 3: on the boat. I'm on the first batch of Bodies,
- 9:40Speaker 3: and We're just kind of driving along and he's like,
- 9:42Speaker 3: you know, yeah, you know, I'm not super familiar with
- 9:44Speaker 3: the show. I mean, well, I mean I did you
- 9:47Speaker 3: know I did audition for it. I'm like, wait what,
- 9:50Speaker 3: hold on, hold the phone. He's like yeah, And it
- 9:53Speaker 3: was so great. What's up, Jason, Welcome to the show, buddy.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Hey, Bob goes party.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Gost party, baby, that's all right, go greed. Hey, so
- 10:01Speaker 3: glad to have you on. We were just kind of
- 10:03Speaker 3: giving the world a little bit of an earful about
- 10:06Speaker 3: how you know. You and I are on the boat
- 10:08Speaker 3: and you're like, yeah, you know, I've known Amy Sugarman
- 10:11Speaker 3: for a long time. We kind of went to high
- 10:12Speaker 3: school together stuff, And all of a sudden, You're like,
- 10:14Speaker 3: you know, I'm not super familiar with the show. I
- 10:16Speaker 3: mean I did audition for it once. And I'm like, wait,
- 10:17Speaker 3: wait what Oh yeah, I was a finalist for season two.
- 10:20Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, hold on, hold on. And then you
- 10:22Speaker 3: pull up you pull up this little screenshot and showed
- 10:25Speaker 3: it to me. I'm like, this is amazing we got
- 10:27Speaker 3: to talk to this guy.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Yes, it was a coincidence. I mean seriously, it was
- 10:32Speaker 4: a total coincidence. And the timing was great, and I yeah,
- 10:35Speaker 4: when I when I saw you guys were on the boat,
- 10:37Speaker 4: I just had to tell you that for a wind loser,
- 10:40Speaker 4: nothing else, you know.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Yes, So yeah, it was awesome. I mean, you know,
- 10:43Speaker 3: it was so fun. You know, we meet you on
- 10:44Speaker 3: the boat. You're you know, really you were so lovely
- 10:48Speaker 3: on the boat too, giving us a tour of the
- 10:49Speaker 3: whole place and filling us in on, you know, some
- 10:52Speaker 3: of the history of Lake Tahoe, and I mean very
- 10:55Speaker 3: knowledgeable about that area. So how did this whole thing
- 10:58Speaker 3: come to pass? Because what was also part of that
- 11:01Speaker 3: video that we loved that we were talking about before
- 11:03Speaker 3: he brought you on was it also was the announcement
- 11:05Speaker 3: of Trista as the new bachelorette, which was super cool.
- 11:08Speaker 4: And we discovered that Trista and I discovered that when
- 11:10Speaker 4: I dropped her off the final cruise you might Save
- 11:13Speaker 4: that day I showed Tristan, she goes, oh my god,
- 11:16Speaker 4: that's me.
- 11:17Speaker 5: You know. That was that was the show.
- 11:18Speaker 4: So yeah, the timing was interesting there, and yeah, I thought,
- 11:24Speaker 4: that's an experience. I'm sure you guys obviously gonna rap
- 11:26Speaker 4: a lot more, but an experience I'll never forget. And yeah,
- 11:30Speaker 4: you know, I had an ext girlfriend from graduate school
- 11:32Speaker 4: in New York. She nominated me behind my back, just
- 11:35Speaker 4: you know, for the record, and Burbank called me, and
- 11:38Speaker 4: one thing led to another.
- 11:39Speaker 5: A couple of.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Tapes were sent back and forth. And because two thousand
- 11:42Speaker 4: and two and I was on a one way ticket
- 11:45Speaker 4: on Southwest Airlines to LA and they had me typecasted
- 11:49Speaker 4: pretty good.
- 11:49Speaker 5: They did a good job.
- 11:51Speaker 3: But we were gonna say that, right, Twista, Like we
- 11:54Speaker 3: were like, how does it feel? Because you know, here,
- 11:57Speaker 3: here's the if we're thinking about this twist like from
- 11:59Speaker 3: here in my exper it's compared to Jason's. Right, we
- 12:02Speaker 3: were both like the ones that they were making the
- 12:04Speaker 3: Bachelor or the Bachelorette. So they had to say nice
- 12:06Speaker 3: stuff about us, right and Trista you can't you can't
- 12:08Speaker 3: help but say nice things about Trista. Me. They could
- 12:11Speaker 3: take some shots with ease and it would have been
- 12:13Speaker 3: perfectly fun. But like for you that I loved the
- 12:16Speaker 3: whole Lisa Levinson's engagement with you, and she's like, oh, Jason,
- 12:19Speaker 3: here we go.
- 12:20Speaker 4: You know, well, I learned the hard way that when
- 12:23Speaker 4: you when you when they have so much content, they
- 12:27Speaker 4: could make you. They can make you whoever you want.
- 12:29Speaker 4: They had me typecast it as the JF. Kate Junior
- 12:31Speaker 4: of San Francisco.
- 12:32Speaker 5: You know, there you go, what are you gonna do?
- 12:35Speaker 4: I don't I don't run Bruce Sprince in Presidio Heights
- 12:39Speaker 4: and San Francisco.
- 12:40Speaker 5: I don't mount by shirtless with no helmet.
- 12:43Speaker 3: You know that day you did, that day you did. Yeah,
- 12:48Speaker 3: you were playing a mean game of horse or something
- 12:50Speaker 3: there and.
- 12:52Speaker 5: It was amazing.
- 12:53Speaker 2: It was so funny.
- 12:55Speaker 5: Well, yes, yeah, iron't even at all, is is it? When?
- 12:59Speaker 3: Now?
- 12:59Speaker 4: When there came San Francisco, they had a premiere party
- 13:03Speaker 4: for me because I was the only San Francisco guy
- 13:05Speaker 4: and board got around and my date back then, Katie,
- 13:12Speaker 4: she left during after she saw the taping. She goes
- 13:16Speaker 4: during the premiere she's walked out.
- 13:18Speaker 5: Of the building. Well she's down.
- 13:21Speaker 4: My wife twenty five years later, full circle, We just
- 13:27Speaker 4: got married in October. But she was in chew at
- 13:30Speaker 4: UCLA and was in Malibu for twenty years and we
- 13:33Speaker 4: kept in contact. But it's just a testament ironically about love,
- 13:37Speaker 4: you know, and.
- 13:38Speaker 3: For us, I was fifty two years old.
- 13:40Speaker 4: It took me fifty two years to find Katie, and
- 13:43Speaker 4: she was the only person I was going to marry.
- 13:45Speaker 4: So I live in Lake Tahoe. I'm in the Uncle
- 13:47Speaker 4: Hall of Fame. I don't need I didn't need. I
- 13:50Speaker 4: didn't need a wife, but Katie wasn't and it worked out.
- 13:54Speaker 4: So really a testament to our love. I think she
- 13:59Speaker 4: we met again, so it was great.
- 14:11Speaker 3: I think Jason, I think Trista and I might be
- 14:13Speaker 3: able to count this as another win for the Bachelor franchise.
- 14:16Speaker 3: I mean, I.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Don't know about that, but what I do, what I
- 14:21Speaker 1: am wondering. So we did pay attention to what the
- 14:24Speaker 1: producers were we're saying during your you know, little clips,
- 14:29Speaker 1: and one of the things that they said, or maybe
- 14:31Speaker 1: it was you you said that you were having relations
- 14:34Speaker 1: with three women at the same time, is that when
- 14:36Speaker 1: Katie walked out the door.
- 14:39Speaker 3: I said, this was.
- 14:41Speaker 5: Nine months ago.
- 14:45Speaker 4: And let me tell you, I.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Wouldn't have guessed that would have been, that wouldn't have been,
- 14:53Speaker 3: That wouldn't have been the perfect moment for your girlfriend
- 14:55Speaker 3: at the time.
- 14:57Speaker 4: And this whole thing was new, right, this whole reality
- 15:00Speaker 4: vision taping in the past. Here we're in the future,
- 15:04Speaker 4: and uh, I tried to explain to her one quick story.
- 15:07Speaker 4: We had dinner that night before the premiere and my
- 15:10Speaker 4: buddies called me from New York and they call me
- 15:13Speaker 4: at dinner and.
- 15:13Speaker 5: They say, Jason, is Katie with you?
- 15:15Speaker 4: I said, yeah, we're having sushi And they said, well,
- 15:19Speaker 4: we just saw your show man. Because of three hours ahead,
- 15:22Speaker 4: you may want second you may want a second guest
- 15:24Speaker 4: this premiere.
- 15:24Speaker 5: So that's too late, now man, here you.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Go, yeah, here we go.
- 15:28Speaker 3: So the katy a little a little heads up. Yeah,
- 15:31Speaker 3: that's that's nice of your buddies. But unfortunately, you know what,
- 15:34Speaker 3: the everything works out the way it's supposed to, right,
- 15:36Speaker 3: So at the end of the day, has she not
- 15:38Speaker 3: seen that premiere in stormed out?
- 15:40Speaker 1: You know?
- 15:40Speaker 3: You might have that things might never have worked out.
- 15:42Speaker 4: One hundred percent, you know. And I'm wondering too, Bob,
- 15:44Speaker 4: do you have children? How old are your children?
- 15:46Speaker 3: I do? I have a six year old, the four
- 15:47Speaker 3: year old boy.
- 15:48Speaker 5: Yeah, okay.
- 15:49Speaker 4: And then trist I know you have teenagers, you know,
- 15:51Speaker 4: and yeah, Amy sent me that reel. But but before
- 15:54Speaker 4: we met, you know, that day of and I showed
- 15:56Speaker 4: my nieces and nephews were high school kids and college kids,
- 15:59Speaker 4: and they tripped out.
- 16:00Speaker 5: You know, they couldn't believe that that was uncle Jason.
- 16:03Speaker 5: You know.
- 16:03Speaker 4: But tris your and your and your children too, Bob,
- 16:06Speaker 4: as they get older, look at a trip at christ
- 16:09Speaker 4: and now they know you know what you who knew
- 16:11Speaker 4: who you and dad are and all that stuff, and
- 16:13Speaker 4: Bob too. It's an amazing it's an amazing experience.
- 16:15Speaker 5: Again, for better or for worse, we always have that
- 16:18Speaker 5: in common.
- 16:18Speaker 4: You know, that special moment with the ABC bubble in
- 16:22Speaker 4: the corner of screen right there.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, So what what did your family think about
- 16:29Speaker 1: and friends?
- 16:30Speaker 2: Yeah, when this video came out?
- 16:32Speaker 1: What were your what were the things that you were
- 16:35Speaker 1: getting comments wise from your press?
- 16:37Speaker 5: It was not that it wasn't good.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Like my grandparents are probably they're just ceased now, but
- 16:41Speaker 4: they were probably in their.
- 16:42Speaker 5: Sixties, you know, you know. And there was there was
- 16:45Speaker 5: my when my brothers were in There was college parties.
- 16:47Speaker 4: There were parties around the Bay area, and I well
- 16:50Speaker 4: first of five, but.
- 16:51Speaker 5: I spent respect the rest of the night putting out
- 16:53Speaker 5: the Thekadi fire.
- 16:54Speaker 4: But that the next day comes and it's you know,
- 16:57Speaker 4: it's before texting, basically, it's around that time.
- 16:59Speaker 5: But I had to explained myself and say, hey, I
- 17:02Speaker 5: learned the hard way. You know, they flatter you.
- 17:04Speaker 4: They flatter you, you know, the the love incidents of
- 17:07Speaker 4: the world.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Deep they bait you, They bait you, and.
- 17:09Speaker 4: All of a sudden, they get this image they created
- 17:11Speaker 4: and and it was not It didn't depect didn't depect
- 17:15Speaker 4: who I was, truly, but they kind of they stroked
- 17:18Speaker 4: you a little bit and you get carried away. And
- 17:20Speaker 4: so I had explained to them that and it was
- 17:22Speaker 4: a less a real hard lesson about humility.
- 17:25Speaker 3: You know. It was a dose.
- 17:28Speaker 4: And I will say this, I don't think I ever
- 17:29Speaker 4: had a chance to be on that show for a
- 17:31Speaker 4: lot of reasons. I mean, a bachelor. A side story
- 17:34Speaker 4: was my brother got married during taping and I had
- 17:37Speaker 4: to go to NAPA. I was his best man, so
- 17:39Speaker 4: I was allowed to call him. I vanished, as you know,
- 17:42Speaker 4: you vanished for a few weeks, you know, or whatever
- 17:44Speaker 4: it is. My mom was my old emergency contact, and
- 17:47Speaker 4: I called Tommy. I go tom, I said, you know,
- 17:50Speaker 4: I'm on this reality show. It doesn't make a difference.
- 17:52Speaker 4: But they want to bring the camera crew to NAPA,
- 17:55Speaker 4: and he was he said, no, that's.
- 17:57Speaker 5: Not gonna happen.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Obviously, he's think of that best, the best man, the
- 18:01Speaker 4: whole thing, not a beautiful wedding.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Uh.
- 18:04Speaker 4: But I had to I had a lot of explaining to,
- 18:06Speaker 4: especially my grandparents because you know, there there old school.
- 18:10Speaker 4: I understand the whole the verbiage, the freaking, the content.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Well, it was racy. For it was racy at the
- 18:18Speaker 3: time too, right like now now it's pretty uh you know,
- 18:21Speaker 3: vanilla compared to things that you see on TV now,
- 18:24Speaker 3: But back then it was kind of racy. I could
- 18:26Speaker 3: see that. You know, my family reacted the same.
- 18:28Speaker 5: Ways on a nerdplane.
- 18:30Speaker 4: He's a he's a banker, and I'm just you know,
- 18:33Speaker 4: I'm sorted with girl.
- 18:35Speaker 5: It was just a whole deal.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Listen.
- 18:41Speaker 3: I'm just I'm just hopeful. I'm just hopeful that someone
- 18:44Speaker 3: can love me despite my large bank account. It was
- 18:55Speaker 3: the best. But you know what, man, we both know
- 18:57Speaker 3: how that works with the producers. And I'm sure they're saying, oh,
- 18:59Speaker 3: you you should say should say this, it'll really, you know,
- 19:02Speaker 3: really help resonate you with the crown people and you're
- 19:04Speaker 3: not even thinking.
- 19:05Speaker 5: I was thinking about this today. I was thinking about
- 19:07Speaker 5: us today and one of.
- 19:08Speaker 4: The things has me with my sunglasses on, going down
- 19:11Speaker 4: the hallway with one of the interns, arm in arm and.
- 19:15Speaker 5: They're filming that. Well, they grabbed my arm. They set
- 19:18Speaker 5: me up like, you know, like Mona Lisa. You know
- 19:20Speaker 5: I was framed.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I was framed, framed like the Mona Lisa.
- 19:26Speaker 3: I've never heard bad edit.
- 19:30Speaker 4: I went along with the hook line and sacred and
- 19:32Speaker 4: I guess I was. I provide a purpose for the
- 19:36Speaker 4: final four.
- 19:37Speaker 5: So there you go there. It was fun. I mean again,
- 19:40Speaker 5: my class high school and college classmates, they couldn't believe, you.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Know, at the time, they go what what Jason Domas
- 19:47Speaker 4: knows on national television and work got around. It was
- 19:50Speaker 4: fun but no regrets. I just wish I could have
- 19:52Speaker 4: been more mindful of the hundreds of minutes.
- 19:55Speaker 5: They had on me.
- 19:55Speaker 4: You know.
- 19:59Speaker 2: I have to say.
- 20:00Speaker 1: One of the other fun things that I felt, like
- 20:02Speaker 1: you said, was they asked you if you could get
- 20:06Speaker 1: engaged when it comes to engagement, and you said I
- 20:08Speaker 1: can do it, not saying I will do it, but
- 20:10Speaker 1: I'm capable of doing it doing it like like, oh
- 20:13Speaker 1: yeah to.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Me, basically I can be down.
- 20:17Speaker 3: I mean I can bend down.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, you know, faver gold his eyes.
- 20:27Speaker 1: And that wouldn't have gone over well if you had
- 20:29Speaker 1: said that, you know, I don't think you would. You'd
- 20:31Speaker 1: have even have been considered for the show. But that
- 20:35Speaker 1: is so funny.
- 20:36Speaker 3: So funny. I loved it. I loved it, especially after
- 20:39Speaker 3: meeting you too, Like, you know, we meet you and
- 20:41Speaker 3: you're just like a super nice guy, super affable, saying
- 20:43Speaker 3: hi to everybody, you know, being so inclusive, and and
- 20:46Speaker 3: then you watch that little clips and you're like, oh
- 20:48Speaker 3: my god, I love it. I can't wait to tease
- 20:50Speaker 3: him about this one. You know. So I'm sure I'm
- 20:52Speaker 3: sure your friends got a lot of miles out of
- 20:54Speaker 3: that with you. For a long time they did.
- 20:56Speaker 4: I had a little love you know. It's a chase
- 20:58Speaker 4: moment too. I don't think a drink in San Francisco
- 21:01Speaker 4: for a little bit and my entarage. They didn't pay
- 21:05Speaker 4: for drinks there, good.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Couple of they took.
- 21:07Speaker 2: They took advantage of that.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Okay, great good. At least I got something out of
- 21:11Speaker 1: the hundreds of minutes or you.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Know, what's interesting is half the things you're saying right now, Katie, Katie,
- 21:18Speaker 4: was she left so early in this, in this, in
- 21:21Speaker 4: that fifteen minute clip that when she saw the video
- 21:23Speaker 4: again privately with me as a married couple, she it
- 21:26Speaker 4: was all.
- 21:26Speaker 3: New to her.
- 21:27Speaker 4: Half, it was new to her and yeah, well that
- 21:29Speaker 4: it was going to covered too well either, so.
- 21:34Speaker 5: Brought yeah, sorry.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Yeah, please Katie, accept our apologies on behalf of the
- 21:41Speaker 3: Bachelor community.
- 21:43Speaker 1: So I would love to know if you were considered
- 21:47Speaker 1: for future seasons after that. Did they get in touch
- 21:49Speaker 1: with you again?
- 21:50Speaker 3: No?
- 21:50Speaker 4: I think I just I just I just went back
- 21:53Speaker 4: to my job and try to live my normal life,
- 21:55Speaker 4: which I.
- 21:55Speaker 5: Did, you know, of course, and that was it.
- 21:57Speaker 4: There was no there was no I guess what, I
- 21:59Speaker 4: guess the Bacheler would have been my next move.
- 22:01Speaker 5: I guess during that time.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess.
- 22:03Speaker 4: The franchise has gotten in a different different venues and
- 22:06Speaker 4: angles now. But no, I just kind of I put
- 22:09Speaker 4: back into the oblivion of a of normal normalcy, you know.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Yeah, half is the best of us, buddy, Yeah, half
- 22:16Speaker 3: of the best of us.
- 22:17Speaker 5: But I got it, I must admit, you know, I
- 22:18Speaker 5: told Katie this too. She's upstairs.
- 22:20Speaker 4: But I said, you know, YouTube, YouTube handled a Tanneled
- 22:24Speaker 4: success in that limelight so well and with class. I mean,
- 22:27Speaker 4: I remember you, Tristed because well you're not. You guys
- 22:29Speaker 4: are both icons. But like I thought about this legacy wise, No, Tristan,
- 22:33Speaker 4: you were the first uple of many.
- 22:34Speaker 3: That follows you.
- 22:36Speaker 4: Like it's kind of a morbid thing, Tristed, But you
- 22:39Speaker 4: should know this when you when you did, when you
- 22:41Speaker 4: pass away, someday, right, you're gonna you're gonna be remembered
- 22:44Speaker 4: as the first woman, the first batchsorette.
- 22:47Speaker 5: And I'm not.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Wrong here, right, Like you're not gonna be forgotten, which
- 22:50Speaker 4: is like you will be forgotten, Bob, you too, you were.
- 22:56Speaker 4: It's almost like being the president of the United States
- 22:58Speaker 4: or or president for women. You guys have that book,
- 23:00Speaker 4: that place mark in history, which is really cool.
- 23:04Speaker 3: You know, that's nice. That's nice for you to say that.
- 23:06Speaker 3: I I mean, I hope I would be considered one
- 23:09Speaker 3: of the favorites. Yeah, you know, when you're looking at
- 23:12Speaker 3: the Bachelor's like if you were to say, like favorite bachelor,
- 23:14Speaker 3: like maybe one of the don't know, the top five,
- 23:16Speaker 3: you know that could be possibly voted on for an
- 23:18Speaker 3: award or something like. I would hope that would be potential,
- 23:22Speaker 3: but you never know, I mean, so many things can happen,
- 23:24Speaker 3: you know.
- 23:25Speaker 4: You know, I don't watch the shows. I don't, in
- 23:27Speaker 4: fact put a bad takes in my mouth to be
- 23:29Speaker 4: perfectly honest. Sure, but I remember you step uh, the
- 23:35Speaker 4: guy Aaron my Era in the Fire still Andrew Fire
- 23:37Speaker 4: Star and then and then you bop.
- 23:39Speaker 5: That's it.
- 23:40Speaker 4: I don't really think. I don't really watch it, like
- 23:43Speaker 4: Howard Stern does you know?
- 23:43Speaker 3: I don't watch it right right?
- 23:45Speaker 5: But yeah, you were one of the original literally you
- 23:48Speaker 5: guys were obviously the ogs of that franchise.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Yeah, it's crazy. Yeah, and you guys, you.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Guys handled with class and you guys are ambassadors and
- 23:57Speaker 4: it's I told Ky, I guess it's it's really really
- 24:01Speaker 4: life is life is chrippy.
- 24:02Speaker 2: So it's life is trippy.
- 24:07Speaker 5: It is really nice to meet you guys.
- 24:09Speaker 4: And you know that I did a favor for you know,
- 24:12Speaker 4: for Amy on the boat. And it's not my job,
- 24:15Speaker 4: you know, I just I just I endorsed Lake Tahoe,
- 24:18Speaker 4: you know, I endorsed it. It's it's a community that
- 24:21Speaker 4: it's a tourist community and I'm glad you had fun.
- 24:24Speaker 5: I saw some.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Instagram we had fun.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Yes, it was great, Thank you so much. The boat
- 24:29Speaker 1: was great. Tahoe is beautiful and.
- 24:33Speaker 2: We're big fans in this family.
- 24:35Speaker 5: We're all on the boat and a little bit. And
- 24:36Speaker 5: have you guys, I live.
- 24:38Speaker 4: I live a stone's throw from Chambers Landing. You guys
- 24:41Speaker 4: looked at Chambers one night? Did you guys go to Chambers.
- 24:43Speaker 1: I've been there, but I wasn't there that night where
- 24:45Speaker 1: a flight got delayed.
- 24:47Speaker 3: So I got in super late. Yeah.
- 24:50Speaker 2: So Chambers Landing is beautiful, beautiful.
- 24:53Speaker 4: That's where I live basically, and I don't take it.
- 24:56Speaker 4: I don't take a day for granted and in general,
- 24:58Speaker 4: but living here, it's it's special to live in a
- 25:01Speaker 4: in a.
- 25:01Speaker 5: Resort town, you know.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I lived in Vail for twenty years, so I
- 25:05Speaker 1: totally totally get it. Very small town, very you know,
- 25:10Speaker 1: resort feel, and I totally get it. So thank you
- 25:14Speaker 1: so much for taking us all out in Detroit.
- 25:20Speaker 4: I want to met Ryan, I know he was he
- 25:22Speaker 4: was at about and I met Kenyon, who's.
- 25:24Speaker 5: A wonderful woman.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 25:27Speaker 5: Yeah, you hit a home run there, Bob.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Thanks buddy, yeaes sir, we both did We both did well.
- 25:33Speaker 3: You both did well.
- 25:36Speaker 4: It Ryan's is as iconic as you two, I mean,
- 25:38Speaker 4: just he is. It's just what it is and it's
- 25:42Speaker 4: a true testament. So it's it's a lot of irony
- 25:44Speaker 4: here with Katie being there, and then twenty five years
- 25:46Speaker 4: later we got married and we're both in our fifties
- 25:50Speaker 4: and late late forties for her and to meet you
- 25:53Speaker 4: guys and to life is really bizarre and tripping, and
- 25:55Speaker 4: I'm really happy to be on and I'm now a
- 25:58Speaker 4: fan of yours. I actually I've been I spin the
- 26:01Speaker 4: Wheel on my podcast. I hope that wheel hits the
- 26:03Speaker 4: OG podcast.
- 26:04Speaker 3: So thank you.
- 26:06Speaker 5: Yay.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Hey, I have a question for you, Jason. So obviously
- 26:19Speaker 3: at that time, you know, you were you were being
- 26:21Speaker 3: considered for for for the next Bachelor role. How did
- 26:25Speaker 3: you how did they tell you that it wasn't going
- 26:27Speaker 3: to be you? Or did you find out when they
- 26:30Speaker 3: announced it after that premiere? Like did you think that
- 26:33Speaker 3: maybe you still had a chance? Like where what were
- 26:35Speaker 3: the what was going through your mind? And how did
- 26:37Speaker 3: you find out? Like what were the mechanics of it
- 26:38Speaker 3: back then?
- 26:39Speaker 4: You know, I don't I know I know that I wasn't,
- 26:42Speaker 4: but I knew I was. I knew I wasn't because
- 26:44Speaker 4: they told me. I think they said it a different direction.
- 26:47Speaker 4: I also told them about my brother's wedding. It just
- 26:50Speaker 4: but h and about you, as you know, you can't
- 26:53Speaker 4: spill the beans either, right, So right, I'd gone there
- 26:56Speaker 4: and like you know this premiere. Hey, no, but my
- 26:59Speaker 4: New York friend think that they know they knewhim. They
- 27:01Speaker 4: knew I was in Barney rubble trouble with Katie. Uh
- 27:04Speaker 4: and and I couldn't say anything to anybody about anything.
- 27:08Speaker 5: So I knew going into it that it wasn't the guy.
- 27:11Speaker 5: And but it's okay. Again, you're live and you learn.
- 27:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I talk a lot like right now, but I've
- 27:17Speaker 4: been I've become a big fan of listening more than
- 27:19Speaker 4: talking since that day.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Since that day, that's the learning lesson from my experience
- 27:26Speaker 1: with Bachelor Nation.
- 27:29Speaker 5: God gave me.
- 27:32Speaker 3: For a reason, right, So I say that to my
- 27:33Speaker 3: boys every single day. I'm like, guys, look, we got
- 27:36Speaker 3: two of these and one of these so yea, let's
- 27:38Speaker 3: cut let's cut the productivity of something in half.
- 27:41Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, so you know that, Yeah, that's our Remember
- 27:44Speaker 4: the most and you know, two thousand and two. You
- 27:46Speaker 4: know again, that was twenty three years ago. Technology has
- 27:50Speaker 4: got a lot. I mean, there was an Instagram, it
- 27:51Speaker 4: was there was I guess my Space. Maybe there wasn't
- 27:53Speaker 4: a big social media part. Thank god at that time
- 27:56Speaker 4: for me, I had put up fires locally.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:06Speaker 3: I love Lisa Levinson's comment where she's like, he's a
- 28:08Speaker 3: real cast. Iova this guy. I mean she was. They
- 28:11Speaker 3: were playing you up. And I mean we both worked
- 28:14Speaker 3: with Lisa as well on our series, on our seasons
- 28:17Speaker 3: and loved her, you know, and realized the spunk that
- 28:21Speaker 3: she would bring to things, Like she had just a fiery,
- 28:24Speaker 3: you know, approach to things, and I'm sure that had
- 28:26Speaker 3: to kind of help fuel the fire for every half
- 28:29Speaker 3: the things you were saying.
- 28:30Speaker 5: Yeah for you too as well.
- 28:31Speaker 4: Did you guys have any rights, rights of refusal or
- 28:34Speaker 4: cuts and stuff? No, whatever they decided, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, boy,
- 28:38Speaker 4: I was that was amazing.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Anything on the cutting room floor that you were so
- 28:43Speaker 3: thankful didn't make it.
- 28:44Speaker 4: No, they got an old guy. But I don't say this,
- 28:50Speaker 4: you know, like me running with print in slow motion
- 28:53Speaker 4: like Anthony Ketis from the Chili pepproofs. Yeah, but at
- 28:58Speaker 4: least like the Goldgate bridges, the back of the cool backdrops,
- 29:01Speaker 4: you know.
- 29:01Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, iconic basketball up the hill, there's cock Tower.
- 29:06Speaker 4: Okay, great, but it was just what they had the
- 29:10Speaker 4: local ABC crew with me that day in the n
- 29:12Speaker 4: SF my shirtless day, and I kept they they kept
- 29:16Speaker 4: telling them ABC was calling ABC.
- 29:19Speaker 5: So cow no cale. I kept telling the guy or
- 29:21Speaker 5: the lion, can I put my shirt on?
- 29:23Speaker 3: Please?
- 29:25Speaker 1: I mean sorry, yeah, no shirt for you.
- 29:32Speaker 4: I kept telling them shirt times and not. They just
- 29:34Speaker 4: they just looked, there's a goal. They knew what they wanted, Bob.
- 29:37Speaker 4: They didn't want it, you know.
- 29:39Speaker 3: I'm sure they did, buddy. You know they need Yeah,
- 29:43Speaker 3: they wanted you, buddy, they want They might not have
- 29:45Speaker 3: wanted you for, you know what you were hoping they
- 29:48Speaker 3: wanted you for, but they they definitely needed you. I
- 29:51Speaker 3: mean you you know you watched that. I was I
- 29:53Speaker 3: was just looking at this. You know. We we've got
- 29:55Speaker 3: some notes about the other guys that were on there
- 29:57Speaker 3: for that. Uh in that episode. Did you ever meet
- 30:00Speaker 3: those guys because you have Let's see, you had an
- 30:02Speaker 3: Air Force captain, yep, you had John the financial consultant
- 30:07Speaker 3: from Pennsylvania, Robert International businessman from New York, Mark Air
- 30:12Speaker 3: Force captain from California. Aaron Bergie of course, who banker,
- 30:16Speaker 3: owned a family in the Midwest and ended up being
- 30:18Speaker 3: the guy. And then of course Jason, at the time
- 30:20Speaker 3: thirty years old, owned an executive search firm living in
- 30:24Speaker 3: San fran And they said, you were looking for a
- 30:27Speaker 3: woman who will love him despite his large bank account. Yeah,
- 30:32Speaker 3: real good.
- 30:32Speaker 5: I mentioned the Target snack bar for a reason, by
- 30:35Speaker 5: the way.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, that was mentioned. I do remember that.
- 30:40Speaker 4: Yeah, gosh, there are the tapings, you know, we're down
- 30:44Speaker 4: there interviewing all of us.
- 30:44Speaker 5: It was the Universal Studios. I remember one of the hotels.
- 30:47Speaker 4: They would shuttle us, you know, in Cotnito between hallways,
- 30:50Speaker 4: so I didn't see any of the guys, you know,
- 30:52Speaker 4: I didn't know.
- 30:52Speaker 5: I just was in. I was in my little world there,
- 30:55Speaker 5: you know, as you guys probably know.
- 30:56Speaker 4: They just kind of keep you going through the the
- 30:59Speaker 4: interns make you different places and and that's how that went. So, Yeah,
- 31:03Speaker 4: whoever those guys are, I wish I hope they're all
- 31:05Speaker 4: doing well, you know, Yeah, yeah, behalf of all them.
- 31:09Speaker 5: You're welcome boys for the distraction on me.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Gosh, so good. You made it fun, man, Jason, you
- 31:21Speaker 3: made it fun.
- 31:22Speaker 4: Honestly, Yes, I married the woman of my dreams and
- 31:26Speaker 4: that's I'm not being cheesy. It's Katy was my only woman.
- 31:30Speaker 4: And so it all worked out in a crazy again
- 31:32Speaker 4: that way, like.
- 31:33Speaker 3: All you Yeah, isn't it crazy? Life has a funny
- 31:37Speaker 3: way of working out? Man?
- 31:38Speaker 5: It does.
- 31:39Speaker 4: And you guys, again, I think we have more in
- 31:41Speaker 4: common than just this O G show. And some day
- 31:43Speaker 4: if you ever come out and if I make my
- 31:45Speaker 4: way to Detroit.
- 31:46Speaker 3: You know, hey, man, everybody cared acts to Detroit. All
- 31:49Speaker 3: roads lead through Detroit somehow, some way.
- 31:54Speaker 4: Amy Sugarman's brother used to coach for the Lions, and
- 31:56Speaker 4: he lived in Birmingham.
- 31:57Speaker 3: I know, I know, right near us. Yeah, that's that's
- 32:00Speaker 3: a one city over from where I live.
- 32:02Speaker 5: Yeah, it was. I spent a couple of nights there.
- 32:03Speaker 5: It was beautiful. It was nice, you know.
- 32:05Speaker 3: Yeah, And it's even it's even gotten a whole lot
- 32:07Speaker 3: nicer now since you know, they've they've really built up
- 32:10Speaker 3: the area, so it's it's actually pretty beautiful. A lot
- 32:12Speaker 3: of the top chefs want to have restaurants here and
- 32:15Speaker 3: We're like, okay, you could come. We get it. We
- 32:17Speaker 3: weren't your first choice, but we're your choice now. Well, Jason,
- 32:20Speaker 3: thank you so much for joining us. Man, You're a
- 32:22Speaker 3: lot of fun. I'm so glad you had that experience
- 32:24Speaker 3: and that we got to find out about it. And
- 32:26Speaker 3: be honestly, god, I thought at one point, you know,
- 32:28Speaker 3: how easily this could have just been something we never
- 32:31Speaker 3: knew about. And for us to be able to find
- 32:32Speaker 3: out about it on the boat with you and through
- 32:35Speaker 3: through the iHeart team, it was pretty amazing. And I
- 32:38Speaker 3: for one thin you handled yourself very well, so I
- 32:40Speaker 3: won't let anybody pick on you. I think you did
- 32:42Speaker 3: a great job. Yeah, I like you just fight your
- 32:44Speaker 3: large bank account, Oh my gosh.
- 32:46Speaker 4: And I didn't you know to put your faces. I
- 32:48Speaker 4: just thought that there was a story to tell. And
- 32:49Speaker 4: I want you to know that you're who you were
- 32:51Speaker 4: talking to, who the captain was. It was more than
- 32:53Speaker 4: just your captain, he.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Was that's right. Yeah. Yeah, I loved it.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Life A Connections.
- 32:59Speaker 1: So thanks, thanks so much for coming on the podcast.
- 33:02Speaker 1: We love chatting with you and and like really bringing
- 33:06Speaker 1: back memories for me because I remember watching you on
- 33:09Speaker 1: the show like I remember watching that, not just my announcement,
- 33:13Speaker 1: but I remember you on the show. So thank you,
- 33:17Speaker 1: thank you for coming on the Ogs and and chatting
- 33:20Speaker 1: with us a little bit.
- 33:21Speaker 5: You have two new fans with TA guys. Thank you
- 33:23Speaker 5: very much.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Oh great.
- 33:27Speaker 3: Hello from us. Bye Bob, bye Jason, Thanks.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Buddy, Bye Jason.
- 33:33Speaker 3: I'm so glad we had him on. That was fun.
- 33:35Speaker 1: I know, I love it and I love that we
- 33:39Speaker 1: can chat with people who aren't, you know, just on
- 33:42Speaker 1: the show. And really truly, like I just said, I
- 33:46Speaker 1: do remember him from the show. It may have been
- 33:49Speaker 1: because of all those little comments. I'm trying to find
- 33:57Speaker 1: somebody who loves me despite my banker count.
- 34:00Speaker 3: But so good.
- 34:04Speaker 1: I'm glad he like took away something from the experience
- 34:09Speaker 1: that means more than all of this combined. And that's
- 34:12Speaker 1: just you know that that you know, Katie is the
- 34:16Speaker 1: one for him and listening more than talking.
- 34:20Speaker 3: And yeah, well and I think too. You know something
- 34:25Speaker 3: that I like about him is he has the ability
- 34:27Speaker 3: to laugh at himself, you know, like you and I
- 34:28Speaker 3: do it all the time. And it's like when you
- 34:30Speaker 3: put yourself out there, you gotta if you if you
- 34:33Speaker 3: aren't willing to do that then you're really setting yourself
- 34:35Speaker 3: up for some heartbreak, you know. And it's like for
- 34:38Speaker 3: him to be able to laugh at himself and look
- 34:40Speaker 3: back at that moment and go, oh my god, what
- 34:42Speaker 3: was I thinking? You know, I mean, we've we've all
- 34:44Speaker 3: had those moments, not you know, most people out there
- 34:47Speaker 3: haven't had him play out in front of millions of viewers.
- 34:49Speaker 3: But you know, thankfully, thankfully for us, we did, and
- 34:52Speaker 3: people responded to us in a really nice way. And
- 34:55Speaker 3: you know, I think that's pretty cool that he has
- 34:57Speaker 3: ability to laugh at himself. So good for you, Jason,
- 34:59Speaker 3: and thanks for joining us. We appreciate you.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Yes, I think they're learning lessons that everyone can can
- 35:04Speaker 1: take from this episode laughing yourself. And I had never
- 35:09Speaker 1: heard that God gave you two ears in one mouth, so,
- 35:14Speaker 1: oh my gush.
- 35:15Speaker 3: I say it to my boys all the time. I'm like, hey,
- 35:17Speaker 3: what are these my ears? How many too? What's this
- 35:20Speaker 3: my mouth? How many of those one? Why do you
- 35:21Speaker 3: think that.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Is because the mouth has to be louder in order
- 35:26Speaker 1: to match the two ears.
- 35:29Speaker 3: Yeah, to believe you in this house, that certainly plays true.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, well, thank you everybody for listening. Once again,
- 35:38Speaker 1: Please go to the Almost Famous Instagram page and make
- 35:43Speaker 1: sure you go and vote for the Almost Famous Podcast Awards.

- 35:53Speaker 1: Me me me, please, me, me me pick me?
- 35:55Speaker 3: Yeah? Can I get the romance thing? Please? Can I
- 35:57Speaker 3: get in there something? I will say this. I love that.
- 36:01Speaker 3: I always have loved this about our friendship is that
- 36:04Speaker 3: you know, sometimes I won't even think you're listening to me,
- 36:07Speaker 3: but I'll just say things and then I'll watch you
- 36:08Speaker 3: just start laughing. And I'm so happy when you get
- 36:11Speaker 3: my jokes. So thank you for always doing that for me.

- 36:50Speaker 3: but Ben Higgins is also, and Sean Low. I mean,

- 36:55Speaker 3: I'm a little torn as to where I'm going to
