- 0:04Randy Black. Randy Black. Randy Black. Randy Black. Randy Black. Randy Black. Randy Black. He's a troublemaker. Welcome back to Randy Unscripted,
- 0:12and this is day number 29
- 0:14in napod promo twenty twenty five. The goal is to do 30 episodes in thirty days,
- 0:20and we're almost there.
- 0:23As we approach the end of this challenge for thirty days,
- 0:27I wanted to take some time to reflect
- 0:29on what this experience has been like for me, you know, the the struggles, the the surprises,
- 0:36the the lessons I've learned in taking this on.
- 0:40Recording and releasing a podcast every single day has been a challenge unlike any other, and I I wanna share with you what it taught me both
- 0:51as a podcaster
- 0:53and ultimately as a person.
- 0:57When I first committed
- 0:58to myself to do napod promo twenty twenty five,
- 1:02I expected it to be incredibly hard.
- 1:05I knew that recording and releasing daily episodes
- 1:09was gonna push me,
- 1:11but I I wasn't really fully prepared for just how much.
- 1:17I worried about the creative side, whether whether I'd be able to to come up with enough ideas for 30 episodes
- 1:24without, you know, repeating myself or or running out of inspiration for for episodes.
- 1:30I honestly thought that by day ten or
- 1:33fifteen,
- 1:35I'd burn out and quit.
- 1:38Looking back now, I can see that some of that fear was natural.
- 1:43It was the part of me that's cautious and likes to plan ahead,
- 1:48but I also underestimated
- 1:50my own ability to adapt.
- 1:52Even though I knew it would be a grind,
- 1:56I didn't realize how much I would grow from simply committing to the process.
- 2:0130 episodes
- 2:02in thirty days.
- 2:06The hardest part for me without a doubt
- 2:09was keeping my creative energy flowing.
- 2:13Coming up with topics with new angles, with fresh ways to share insights at day
- 2:19after day
- 2:20was not easy.
- 2:23There were moments when I felt stuck
- 2:26or uncertain in my abilities,
- 2:29but I learned to push through those moments.
- 2:34What surprised me most though was
- 2:36how much
- 2:38I actually enjoyed the routine itself.
- 2:41There's something about having a consistent
- 2:44schedule
- 2:45that that keeps you accountable and and focused and
- 2:49moving forward.
- 2:52The the daily rhythm became a a kind of momentum,
- 2:57a force that that carried me through even when I wasn't feeling
- 3:02particularly creative or inspired to record an episode.
- 3:07I discovered that structure doesn't have to be restrictive.
- 3:11It can be freeing because it removes the question of if
- 3:15and focuses you on when
- 3:17and how.
- 3:19That consistency
- 3:21gave me confidence that I just didn't expect to have.
- 3:27The daily practice
- 3:29didn't just affect my pod
- 3:32It it
- 3:33had ripple effects in the rest of my life.
- 3:36I had to be deliberate about my schedule to make sure I had time to plan and record and edit each episode,
- 3:43although I don't do a whole lot of editing.
- 3:45But doing those things while still balancing my my work responsibilities
- 3:50and my home life,
- 3:52And it forced me to prioritize,
- 3:55to make hard choices about time, and and to be intentional with how I spend each day.
- 4:02I also noticed that it it sharpened my focus in other areas.
- 4:06When whenever I sat down to work on an episode,
- 4:09I had to be fully present.
- 4:12That discipline spilled over into other tasks, and I quickly found myself working more efficiently and
- 4:19purposefully across the board.
- 4:22It was a reminder that focus and planning
- 4:25aren't just about getting one thing done.
- 4:29They improve everything you do and everything I did.
- 4:35Ultimately,
- 4:37what this challenge proved to me was simple
- 4:40yet
- 4:41extremely profound.
- 4:44I can just do it.
- 4:46I can commit.
- 4:49I can show up,
- 4:51and I can follow through.
- 4:54I expected to falter somewhere along the way, but I didn't.
- 4:59I found that I'm capable of resilience,
- 5:03of pushing forward even when the path feels really hard,
- 5:07and of accomplishing a goal once I set my mind to it.
- 5:13Completing 30 episodes in thirty days
- 5:16wasn't just a check mark on a list.
- 5:21It was a
- 5:22reminder that discipline and focus and determination
- 5:26matter,
- 5:28not just in podcasting,
- 5:31but in every aspect of life.
- 5:34There's a satisfaction
- 5:36and a quiet strength that comes from seeing a goal through no matter how challenging it seems
- 5:43at the start.
- 5:48Thanks for joining me as I reflect on this stage of the napod Pomo journey.
- 5:53Tomorrow in episode 30,
- 5:55we're gonna wrap up the series
- 5:58with my bigger picture reflections
- 6:01and the lessons I learned from the entire month, what it taught me about perseverance,
- 6:05about faith,
- 6:06resilience,
- 6:08and the encouragement I hope to share with
- 6:11anyone who's thinking about taking on a challenge like this themselves.
- 6:16I hope you'll tune in because
- 6:18there's a lot of heart behind
- 6:19what I've put together for that final episode.
- 6:23I'm Randy Black,
- 6:25and this has been Randy Unscripted.
