- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, interesting guy. Last hour, NewsRadio 570, WDKVN. And
- 0:04Speaker 1: Ron Ferb comments, 330-729-9977, I think is the phone number. Yes,
- 0:09Speaker 1: it is. You want to chime in? You got something
- 0:12Speaker 1: you want to run up the flagpole? See if anybody salutes.
- 0:14Speaker 1: We'll take on all comers till 7 tonight. Maybe a
- 0:18Speaker 1: G2 appearance at 6 o'clock. Possibly. with some insight into
- 0:23Speaker 1: what's going on in our world. 330-729-9977. We'll get you
- 0:28Speaker 1: through to us. 330-729-9977. We'll get you through on NewsRadio 570.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I think the main point of that last guy's call,
- 0:36Speaker 1: if you were listening last hour, was basically saying that,
- 0:40Speaker 1: in his opinion, in the state of Ohio, we're letting
- 0:42Speaker 1: business get away with not paying enough in taxes and
- 0:46Speaker 1: shifting the burden to the individual homeowner through property taxes. basically,
- 0:53Speaker 1: is what his assessment was. Business is getting too much
- 0:58Speaker 1: of a break, tax break in Ohio, and it's shifted
- 1:01Speaker 1: to the individual. And I get one of those criticisms,
- 1:06Speaker 1: which is a fair criticism to make when he says
- 1:08Speaker 1: it's one of the problems with the repeal property taxes is, okay,
- 1:12Speaker 1: if we repeal property taxes, that means Walmart's not going
- 1:18Speaker 1: to pay it or Home Depot's not going to pay it.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Or all these, you know, if you get a data center,
- 1:22Speaker 1: that big building wouldn't be paying property taxes. And that
- 1:26Speaker 1: burden would be shifted to who? The individual. The individual.
- 1:32Speaker 1: And I get what he's saying as far as that
- 1:35Speaker 1: is concerned. It's part of the reason why I like
- 1:38Speaker 1: the Moaning County Commissioners, Trumbull County Commissioners. They have the
- 1:41Speaker 1: ability to ease the burden for individual citizens. When I
- 1:45Speaker 1: talk so much about they have the ability to double
- 1:48Speaker 1: the homestead exemption for our poor senior citizens. Business, Walmart
- 1:53Speaker 1: and Home Depot, they don't get that. Or these rental
- 1:58Speaker 1: properties and all that kind of stuff, they don't get it.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Only property owners that are senior citizens would get the
- 2:09Speaker 1: doubling of the homestead exemption, which is income-based for poor
- 2:14Speaker 1: senior citizens. And only people that are owner-occupies would get
- 2:19Speaker 1: that doubling of that property tax portion, too. You have
- 2:25Speaker 1: to be owner-occupancy. So it's for individuals. It wouldn't apply
- 2:33Speaker 1: to any business, what have you, on property taxes. That's
- 2:36Speaker 1: a good thing. What Dave Thomas got passed to give
- 2:42Speaker 1: your commissioners the ability to give you that, but they
- 2:45Speaker 1: simply refuse to do it because they think government's better
- 2:48Speaker 1: off with your money than you are after that exorbitant increase.
- 2:51Speaker 1: That's kind of interesting. All right, you're on the air.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Hello.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Hey, how you doing, Ron?
- 2:57Speaker 1: It's Bubba Ganoush.
- 2:59Speaker 3: That's a pretty good analysis you made.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Really? I thought the guy had some interesting points. I mean,
- 3:07Speaker 1: the guy's basically saying you can't shift all the taxes
- 3:10Speaker 1: away from business to the individuals.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Agreed.
- 3:13Speaker 1: And there is justification to his argument that a lot
- 3:17Speaker 1: of that has taken place.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Well, that has to be resolved. Yeah, you voted. You
- 3:24Speaker 3: said you voted.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yes, I did. And were you sitting down when I said,
- 3:28Speaker 1: when I voted— On my ballot in Austintown, I voted
- 3:33Speaker 1: for the continuing of the quarter percent sales tax for
- 3:38Speaker 1: Pat Giannetti and the roads. The guy's done more.
- 3:40Speaker 3: My road isn't paved.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Not yet, but he's done a lot in the county
- 3:44Speaker 1: and the townships benefit from it. You don't even notice it.
- 3:47Speaker 1: That's a sales tax. I voted... And are you ready
- 3:50Speaker 1: for this? There were two road tax renewals in my township,
- 3:54Speaker 1: which I also voted for. I did not vote against
- 3:56Speaker 1: any of the renewals on roads at all. I had
- 4:01Speaker 1: three tax issues on my ballot, all renewals, all for roads,
- 4:05Speaker 1: and I voted to renew every single one of them.
- 4:10Speaker 3: And the money's going to go to the roads, right? Yes.
- 4:14Speaker 5: Okay, well.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I just want my road done. They're doing a lot
- 4:19Speaker 3: of work down in Mill Creek with those wastewater pipes
- 4:22Speaker 3: I've been bitching about for 50 years. Right.
- 4:25Speaker 1: That's a different program. But if you look in the county,
- 4:29Speaker 1: we've never had so many roads fixed and repaired as
- 4:34Speaker 1: you see what's going on under... this county engineer, and
- 4:38Speaker 1: the townships have benefited from that quarter percent sales tax
- 4:42Speaker 1: because a lot of money goes in addition to what
- 4:44Speaker 1: their paving program is. I ask you this. Imagine if
- 4:49Speaker 1: we didn't have this situation going on with the cost
- 4:52Speaker 1: of a barrel of oil because asphalt's oil-based. If you
- 4:55Speaker 1: could get oil back down to a reasonable point, you'd
- 4:58Speaker 1: be able to even pave even more road miles than
- 5:02Speaker 1: he's doing. I hope you're right, Bubba.
- 5:04Speaker 3: A little patient, a little patient. Marco Rubio is now
- 5:08Speaker 3: our press secretary.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I saw a clip of that.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Isn't that great?
- 5:14Speaker 3: This guy's something else. And he got everybody laughing. And,
- 5:18Speaker 3: you know, nobody badgered him. Nobody beat him up. So
- 5:21Speaker 3: that was good.
- 5:23Speaker 1: That is good.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:25Speaker 3: And I heard something about the boss lady. That's pretty interesting.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Well, you know, I have to have They've got to
- 5:36Speaker 1: get the personal attacks stopped because it's not right to
- 5:41Speaker 1: do something like that. I mean, stay focused on your thoughts.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I mean, people have a right to disagree on their
- 5:48Speaker 1: views of the issues. I don't have a problem with that,
- 5:50Speaker 1: but that's where we draw the line. How's that sound
- 5:54Speaker 1: to you?
- 5:54Speaker 3: Well, I always say, like with voting, vote early and
- 5:57Speaker 3: vote often, the Democratic way. That's what Democrats do. Vote
- 6:01Speaker 3: early and vote often.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Is that what you say?
- 6:04Speaker 3: No, no, that's what Democrats say. Vote early and vote often.
- 6:08Speaker 4: I see.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:10Speaker 3: You never heard that before?
- 6:11Speaker 1: Yes, I have.
- 6:12Speaker 3: There you go. There you go. Well, listen, the Indians
- 6:17Speaker 3: are struggling, but I still got faith in them. God,
- 6:21Speaker 3: I hope so.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I really do. I mean, things looked very good at
- 6:25Speaker 1: the beginning of the season, but they're having some bumpy
- 6:29Speaker 1: roads now. But Dick from Dayton would tell you, how
- 6:31Speaker 1: about those Cavaliers?
- 6:32Speaker 6: Cavaliers.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Yeah, Cavs, the Cavs. My brother called me, actually. He's
- 6:36Speaker 3: not a sports guy. He goes, hey, you watching the game?
- 6:39Speaker 3: I said, no, I'm not. You know, and he was
- 6:42Speaker 3: pretty excited because his son is a big Cav man,
- 6:45Speaker 3: you know.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:46Speaker 3: So, yeah, so, you know, Ron, I think things are
- 6:50Speaker 3: going to go okay.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Well, I hope you're right. You're making me feel optimistic
- 6:55Speaker 1: when you say that kind of stuff.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Well, that's because, you know..
- 6:59Speaker 1: You're like a ray of sunshine around here. I got
- 7:03Speaker 1: sunshine on a cloudy day.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Remember, your future's so bright, you're going to need shades.
- 7:08Speaker 3: And I said that since 16. I mean that.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Well, I would like to see this come to a
- 7:15Speaker 1: conclusion and get back focused on America first and get
- 7:19Speaker 1: inflation under control. And start focusing on why he was elected.
- 7:23Speaker 1: And you've got to get gas prices down. You've got
- 7:27Speaker 1: to get inflation under control. And they're going in the
- 7:29Speaker 1: opposite direction right now.
- 7:31Speaker 7: Right.
- 7:32Speaker 3: It'll come. It'll come. The thing is, we've just got
- 7:36Speaker 3: to have patience, and he'll be out of there. But
- 7:40Speaker 3: he's really putting the squeeze with Scott Besson on the Iranians.
- 7:45Speaker 3: So he's doing a good job there. Everybody even says,
- 7:48Speaker 3: you know. Even the Saudi Arabians loves it. You know
- 7:53Speaker 3: what I mean?
- 7:54Speaker 1: I would love to see it work out. Let me
- 7:59Speaker 1: put it that way. I would love to see it
- 8:01Speaker 1: be successful.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Well, guess what?
- 8:04Speaker 2: It will.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I mean, he's not going to go down unsuccessful. That
- 8:07Speaker 3: guy is a winner. You know, he's not going to
- 8:10Speaker 3: go down. And people put him down constantly. Remember all
- 8:14Speaker 3: the good things he's did.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Right.
- 8:15Speaker 3: You know what I mean? I don't want to list them,
- 8:19Speaker 3: but come on. Seriously.
- 8:21Speaker 4: All right. Right?
- 8:25Speaker 1: Listen, if you think for a minute I would vote
- 8:27Speaker 1: for Sherrod Brown or vote for any Democrat, you would
- 8:31Speaker 1: have your head examined.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Could you imagine that? The guy's running again after the
- 8:34Speaker 3: mess he made.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I mean, Sherrod Brown backed everything Joe Biden supported. You
- 8:39Speaker 1: think I would vote for him?
- 8:42Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 8:42Speaker 8: And..
- 8:44Speaker 3: You know, just like my one buddy said, he goes,
- 8:46Speaker 3: you vote for a Democrat, you're crazy. Just like you said.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Right.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Yeah. But you know what? It's going to be okay.
- 8:52Speaker 3: I think this result you're going to be surprised with.
- 8:56Speaker 3: You're going to be very surprised.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Well, this is a primary, so it really doesn't matter
- 9:02Speaker 1: too much, you know, until you get to the general election.
- 9:04Speaker 3: I know that, but you're going to be surprised at
- 9:06Speaker 3: the results.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Why am I going to be surprised?
- 9:09Speaker 3: Because it's going to be a win.
- 9:12Speaker 1: A win?
- 9:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Yeah, for the conservatives.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Well, I mean, it depends if you it depends if
- 9:18Speaker 1: you pulled a Republican or Democrat ballot. I mean, it
- 9:23Speaker 1: would depend. I mean, when I looked at mine, I mean,
- 9:25Speaker 1: I voted for Vivek or Vivek or Vivek or whatever
- 9:28Speaker 1: you want to call him. I'm for governor. Yeah.
- 9:31Speaker 3: I mean, he was down at NBR. I met him
- 9:33Speaker 3: down there.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:34Speaker 1: But I mean, I thought, OK, I'll go with him.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I mean, I think he's. I will vote for him
- 9:40Speaker 1: over Amy Acton any day of the week. I mean,
- 9:42Speaker 1: it's so much. I mean, Amy Acton quit being your
- 9:47Speaker 1: state doctor because it got to couldn't take the criticism
- 9:52Speaker 1: and all that kind of stuff. And she threw the
- 9:54Speaker 1: towel in. Now she wants to be governor where you'd
- 9:56Speaker 1: get even more. I don't get it.
- 9:58Speaker 3: I know.
- 9:59Speaker 4: I know.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Well, listen, I got a call coming in.
- 10:01Speaker 1: God bless you. Go get it.
- 10:02Speaker 3: And you have a good day.
- 10:03Speaker 1: All right. Thank you. It's Bubba Ganoush. You're on the air.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Say again?
- 10:09Speaker 7: How you doing ron i i just want to comment
- 10:11Speaker 7: on the uh... previous caller before yes before public news uh...
- 10:16Speaker 7: he talked about property taxes you know to me a
- 10:19Speaker 7: democrat can't speak about property taxes when illegal immigrants you
- 10:25Speaker 7: know with the high demand uh... for housing you know
- 10:29Speaker 7: they drive up the property values enhance the property taxes
- 10:34Speaker 7: to me You know, when a Democrat speaks about property taxes,
- 10:40Speaker 7: they should just go in the corner and just, you know,
- 10:42Speaker 7: be quiet. But what do you think of the most
- 10:45Speaker 7: recent Democrat propaganda on Ramaswamy, where they tried saying that,
- 10:50Speaker 7: you know, he was against Jesus as the.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Lord, even though Obama was a Muslim?
- 10:58Speaker 7: Have you seen any of those articles?
- 11:00Speaker 4: No. No.
- 11:02Speaker 7: Those articles have been out everywhere.
- 11:05Speaker 1: No, I'm totally not familiar with any of that. I
- 11:09Speaker 1: genuinely plead ignorance, which is an easy thing for me, incidentally,
- 11:12Speaker 1: to plead.
- 11:14Speaker 4: No, it's okay. I'm just not sure.
- 11:17Speaker 6: They're trying to say, oh, Ram Swamy, you know, they
- 11:21Speaker 6: brought up some kind of like previous speech that he
- 11:23Speaker 6: made where he was kind of like saying Jesus wasn't
- 11:27Speaker 6: the Lord somehow or another.
- 11:29Speaker 3: But yet, you know, Obama, you know, he was a Muslim.
- 11:33Speaker 7: You know, what does that have to do with anything
- 11:36Speaker 7: to me?
- 11:38Speaker 1: Hey, what's your philosophy? What are you going to do
- 11:41Speaker 1: as governor? I like his philosophy way better than Amy Acton.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Amy Acton's a far-left progressive. And you can see what
- 11:48Speaker 1: happens with those far-left progressives in Virginia. You can see
- 11:52Speaker 1: in New York. I mean, what do they do? They
- 11:56Speaker 1: raise taxes on Joe Bagadonis and screw you.
- 12:01Speaker 7: All right, Ron, I just wanted to hear your thoughts
- 12:04Speaker 7: on that, and I appreciate all the patience you have
- 12:06Speaker 7: with some of these Democrats that call you on the phone.
- 12:08Speaker 1: All right, buddy.
- 12:09Speaker 3: You have a good day, sir.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Thank you. You're on the air.
- 12:12Speaker 5: Well, there's one thing. The Cavaliers, I'll be watching tonight,
- 12:15Speaker 5: but I have good news to tell them. I think
- 12:18Speaker 5: it's going to be okay. They'll get into it. It's
- 12:21Speaker 5: early yet.
- 12:22Speaker 4: It's early, but..
- 12:23Speaker 1: You're talking to Guardians.
- 12:25Speaker 5: Yeah, the Guardians are going to be okay. I think
- 12:28Speaker 5: they will, but they need to step it up a
- 12:30Speaker 5: little bit, you know?
- 12:31Speaker 1: Yeah, you think?
- 12:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I would say that they do. But I give
- 12:37Speaker 1: you credit because you would be calling me, it's Dick
- 12:40Speaker 1: from Dayton, the official sports prognosticator, and all I'm doing
- 12:43Speaker 1: is I'm focusing on the Guardians.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:47Speaker 1: And you're spouting the Cavs, and I'm not paying attention.
- 12:49Speaker 1: You know, I'm looking over here, you're looking at the Cavs,
- 12:52Speaker 1: and son of a gun, who's marching on but the Cavaliers?
- 12:56Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, but it's going to be tough, I think,
- 12:59Speaker 5: I tell you. You know, maybe the first two. I
- 13:02Speaker 5: don't know. They're going to have to. The way they played,
- 13:05Speaker 5: but they said that it's going to be tough on them.
- 13:08Speaker 5: But some way they might pull this off, you know.
- 13:11Speaker 5: I've got a good feeling about this, you know.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I would like to see them. Well, look, they're so
- 13:16Speaker 1: far so good. But it gets harder as time goes on,
- 13:19Speaker 1: as you know.
- 13:20Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 13:20Speaker 5: Well, have a good day, buddy.
- 13:21Speaker 1: There you go. It's Dick from Dayton, cheering on our Cavaliers.
- 13:26Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570, WKBN, and Ron Verb, 330-729-9977. We'll get you
- 13:31Speaker 1: through to us on NewsRadio 570, WKBN, 5, what is it,
- 13:36Speaker 1: 520 in the afternoon. It's been a wet, well, it's
- 13:39Speaker 1: been an unusual day. It's been a windy day. It
- 13:42Speaker 1: depends where you are. In my neck of the woods,
- 13:44Speaker 1: a little bit of a shower this morning. And then
- 13:47Speaker 1: cool temperatures for the most part that we're looking at here.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Let me give you an update. I mean, we're down
- 13:54Speaker 1: to 64 degrees. So hasn't this been a strange April
- 13:58Speaker 1: and May with all this rain that we're getting, boys
- 14:00Speaker 1: and girls? I mean, it's just so damn saturated out there.
- 14:04Speaker 1: The ground doesn't get a chance to even remotely dry out.
- 14:08Speaker 1: And that's not good for farmers. That's not good to
- 14:11Speaker 1: try to get your grass cut or get anything done
- 14:13Speaker 1: outside with how soggy everything is. Because the amount of
- 14:19Speaker 1: rain that we're getting, the frequency of rain, and maybe
- 14:22Speaker 1: the lack of some sunshine to dry this stuff out
- 14:25Speaker 1: is creating all kinds of havoc. And we're already, what,
- 14:28Speaker 1: almost a week into May already. And it's 64 degrees.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I don't know. It's been an unusually wet and chilly
- 14:38Speaker 1: spring season. in the great states of Ohio. And it's
- 14:42Speaker 1: been an unusual year as far as precipitation is concerned.
- 14:46Speaker 1: But hopefully things will get better as we get to April, May, what,
- 14:51Speaker 1: into June and July. Maybe we can have some sunny
- 14:55Speaker 1: days and go a week without having a bunch of rain.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Is it possible? Is it possible? Maybe so. We shall see. 522,
- 15:04Speaker 1: back with more. Call us on the line. Stand by.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Blacktown's news, weather, and talk station, 570 WKBN. Well, hidey-ho,
- 15:12Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570 WKBN, and you're on the air.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Hello.
- 15:17Speaker 2: You know, Ron, I'm very frustrated with this war and
- 15:22Speaker 2: the $ 5- a- gallon gas and listening to Republicans complain about both.
- 15:28Speaker 2: I mean, my whole life, since I was 18 years old,
- 15:33Speaker 2: I had a job where I had to negotiate with people.
- 15:37Speaker 2: And I've been doing it my entire life. And Trump
- 15:40Speaker 2: is probably one of the best negotiators I've ever seen
- 15:45Speaker 2: or ever heard talk. And when you think about it,
- 15:49Speaker 2: you know, my wife, my kids, they're frustrated because he
- 15:55Speaker 2: says they want to make a deal, they want to
- 15:56Speaker 2: make a deal. But there's nobody coming to make a deal.
- 15:59Speaker 2: He does that because they're thinking to themselves, what is
- 16:06Speaker 2: he talking about? And we're saying, what is he talking about?
- 16:11Speaker 2: Only he knows what he's talking about. He keeps them
- 16:14Speaker 2: off guard. He doesn't say, you know, he doesn't say, well,
- 16:19Speaker 2: I'm talking to so-and-so. Like a good example, Biden was
- 16:25Speaker 2: supposed to talk to Putin, and Biden said he's a murderer,
- 16:29Speaker 2: he's a... You're not going to be a very good
- 16:34Speaker 2: negotiating step. You're just adding obstacles to your negotiations if
- 16:38Speaker 2: you go in there with that kind of attitude and
- 16:40Speaker 2: talk like that. You know, it's give and take. I'm
- 16:45Speaker 2: not frustrated because of Trump. I think I'm just frustrated
- 16:51Speaker 2: because he hasn't been aggressive enough to me. I wouldn't
- 16:57Speaker 2: take this crap from Iran that he's taken. I wouldn't
- 17:00Speaker 2: let them drag this out. They're notorious for that. I
- 17:04Speaker 2: would just, I wouldn't even tell them to negotiate, Trevor.
- 17:07Speaker 2: I'd just end it, go back to war, just finish
- 17:10Speaker 2: the job. Because the sooner he finishes the job, the
- 17:13Speaker 2: better off.
- 17:13Speaker 3: We're going to be.
- 17:15Speaker 2: And it just, I think of all the good stuff
- 17:18Speaker 2: the guy's done.
- 17:20Speaker 4: And the Guinness in this war, they're saying, you know.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Netanyahu drug him into war. I don't believe that. I
- 17:27Speaker 2: don't think he dragged Donald Trump anywhere. Trump knew something.
- 17:31Speaker 2: That Yahoo letter knew something. And they made a move.
- 17:35Speaker 2: And now you have to live with that decision. And
- 17:39Speaker 2: to me, I don't care. The country wants to kill us.
- 17:43Speaker 2: I don't care if we kill them first. It doesn't
- 17:45Speaker 2: matter to me. I would rather, I would prefer that.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I feel bad for those people there. But our people
- 17:55Speaker 2: in America, if our government was oppressing us, like they're
- 17:59Speaker 2: oppressing them, we would stand up and we would fight.
- 18:03Speaker 2: They're not doing it. I understand why. Government's got all
- 18:06Speaker 2: the weapons. But you've got to get creative and they've
- 18:09Speaker 2: got to figure out a way to fight for themselves.
- 18:14Speaker 2: If they don't, in all honesty, they're better off if
- 18:17Speaker 2: we wipe them off the face of the earth. Because
- 18:20Speaker 2: the afterlife, I'm sure, will be better than what they're
- 18:22Speaker 2: living right.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Now.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Really?
- 18:25Speaker 1: Are you certain of that?
- 18:27Speaker 4: Yes.
- 18:28Speaker 2: I'm absolutely.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Sure.
- 18:34Speaker 2: I drive 1,000 miles a week. I pay for 98%
- 18:37Speaker 2: of my gas. The way my pay plan was set up,
- 18:42Speaker 2: gas was no big deal when they hired me. So
- 18:45Speaker 2: I pay for 98% of the gas driving 1,000 miles
- 18:48Speaker 2: a week. And I can deal with it. I can
- 18:52Speaker 2: deal with it with the gas prices. I don't like it.
- 18:55Speaker 2: I get frustrated every time I go get gas. But,
- 18:59Speaker 2: you know, they hate Trump. They didn't hate him so much.
- 19:02Speaker 2: You know, they talk about the war powers. Obama, how
- 19:05Speaker 2: long did he bomb? There was no war powers. No
- 19:07Speaker 2: talk about that. Clinton bombed people. No talk about war powers.
- 19:12Speaker 2: But just these moronic, criminal Democrats that are nothing but politics.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Their entire life was politics. I think some of them
- 19:22Speaker 2: would sacrifice their kids' lives if they could win an election.
- 19:26Speaker 2: I think that winning the election is more important to
- 19:28Speaker 2: them than half of their kids' lives. Because of some
- 19:32Speaker 2: of the criminal things they do, the beliefs they have,
- 19:36Speaker 2: wrapping their arms around communism. I mean, these people are nuts.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Stand by for a minute. I want to come back
- 19:43Speaker 1: with Nick. It's good to hear his voice back in
- 19:45Speaker 1: a minute. News Radio 570 WKVN. All right. So where
- 19:50Speaker 1: was Nicholas, Nick?
- 19:52Speaker 3: That's not me.
- 19:53Speaker 4: All right.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Hang on, Nick. I think I lost him.
- 19:56Speaker 2: That's me.
- 19:57Speaker 1: All right. So you're not looking at any of this
- 20:05Speaker 1: situation going on in Iran negatively. You're giving it all
- 20:09Speaker 1: the thumbs up.
- 20:11Speaker 2: I mean, we're Americans. You're supposed to be loyal to
- 20:14Speaker 2: your country. You're supposed to be loyal to your president.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Because you have Trump's arrangement system, it just can't be.
- 20:21Speaker 2: I mean, I look at it, I have two sons
- 20:25Speaker 2: and I have two grandkids. And I don't want them
- 20:28Speaker 2: to have to live in a world where these religious Nazis,
- 20:32Speaker 2: like these Iranians, can get a nuclear bomb and destroy
- 20:36Speaker 2: them someday. It would be a horrible way to die.
- 20:40Speaker 2: And that's what they're going to do. Based on us
- 20:43Speaker 2: going in there and bombing the hell out of them
- 20:45Speaker 2: like we did, they will always remember that. And once
- 20:50Speaker 2: they have the ability, they will attack us. There's no
- 20:53Speaker 2: doubt in my mind. You have to end them. You
- 20:57Speaker 2: just have to do it. I don't even care how
- 20:59Speaker 2: you do it, but you have to do it. You know,
- 21:04Speaker 2: what happens if we let them off the hook and
- 21:07Speaker 2: we get another Joe Biden in the next election? or
- 21:10Speaker 2: two elections, and they start building it and they do
- 21:14Speaker 2: nothing about it. They're going to remember. These people have
- 21:17Speaker 2: memories like elephants. They're going to remember forever. And they're
- 21:21Speaker 2: going to want revenge, and they're going to bomb this country.
- 21:25Speaker 2: I don't think they're going to bomb this country when
- 21:26Speaker 2: I'm alive, or my wife, but I think they're going
- 21:29Speaker 2: to bomb this country when my grandkids are alive, and
- 21:32Speaker 2: possibly my kids. We just have to put an end
- 21:35Speaker 2: to them. And if you hate Trump, I don't care
- 21:38Speaker 2: if you hate Trump. Trump probably, the truth known, Trump
- 21:41Speaker 2: probably hates you. But he's sacrificing the best part of
- 21:45Speaker 2: his life to provide for this country, to protect this country,
- 21:49Speaker 2: and to make up for all the screw-ups that the
- 21:52Speaker 2: Democrats have done. Not only in the presidency, but in Congress,
- 21:56Speaker 2: in the Senate, the inflation, everything that they've screwed up.
- 22:00Speaker 2: He's fighting for you. And you've got to support this guy.
- 22:05Speaker 2: I know he's doing the right thing because there's so
- 22:08Speaker 2: many people that are corrupt in the Democratic Party that
- 22:13Speaker 2: want to see him dead. That's how I know he's
- 22:15Speaker 2: doing the right thing. They try to kill him on
- 22:18Speaker 2: a weekly basis. And that's because he's getting in their wallets.
- 22:24Speaker 2: He's stopping some of the ways that they're making his
- 22:27Speaker 2: money illegal. Look at these Somalians. Look at the Minnesotans.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Billions of dollars. I know you talk about it a lot,
- 22:34Speaker 2: and I agree with you. We're worried about the national debt,
- 22:37Speaker 2: $ 34 trillion, $ 35 trillion. Stop the criminal fraud, and you
- 22:43Speaker 2: could probably pay the debt off. There's just so much corruption.
- 22:48Speaker 2: You have to stop corruption. These psychopath Democrats, and you've
- 22:54Speaker 2: got some of them that call yourself, they don't have
- 22:57Speaker 2: a brain that they use for their own. They listen
- 23:01Speaker 2: to other people that hate Trump, preach to them, and
- 23:05Speaker 2: tell you what a bad guy Trump is. If you
- 23:08Speaker 2: would use your own head and just look logically what
- 23:12Speaker 2: he's doing different than anybody else who's ever been president,
- 23:16Speaker 2: the way we're treated around the rest of the world,
- 23:18Speaker 2: the way we're respected around the rest of the world,
- 23:21Speaker 2: that we weren't. Obama goes overseas and he bows down
- 23:24Speaker 2: to us. Trump goes over there and pushes him.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Out of the way, and then he bows down to him.
- 23:28Speaker 2: It's a huge difference. Not just the optics, but the reality. So,
- 23:34Speaker 2: I mean, it's just very frustrating to me. They don't
- 23:37Speaker 2: back this guy. They want to kill this guy. He's
- 23:40Speaker 2: the right guy at the right time. And I believe,
- 23:44Speaker 2: as sure as I'm talking to you, that shot in
- 23:47Speaker 2: Butler didn't miss him so he could just be a
- 23:50Speaker 2: regular president. That shot that missed him in Butler missed
- 23:55Speaker 2: him because he's really going to do something special. But
- 23:58Speaker 2: you've got to give the guy a chance. And in
- 24:00Speaker 2: my opinion, you know, he does this one thing that's
- 24:03Speaker 2: questionable to war. And I'm not a war monitor. I
- 24:06Speaker 2: wasn't in the military. But he does this one thing
- 24:09Speaker 2: that's questionable, and everybody seems like they're turning on him. Oh,
- 24:12Speaker 2: my God, we're worried about the midterms. We're worried about
- 24:15Speaker 2: the price of gas. I'll trade, I'll pay the gas
- 24:18Speaker 2: prices for six more months, because I don't believe you
- 24:21Speaker 2: can put a time frame on a war. So I'm
- 24:25Speaker 2: willing to pay these inflated prices, even if they go
- 24:28Speaker 2: up higher, for six months to ensure my kids and
- 24:33Speaker 2: grandkids don't get nuked.
- 24:36Speaker 4: I would be willing to do that.
- 24:37Speaker 2: That's a very, to me, a very small price to
- 24:40Speaker 2: pay for the peace of mind and not knowing these
- 24:43Speaker 2: religious Nazis have a nuke or the ability to use
- 24:47Speaker 2: a nuke. And I mean, the reality is, but the
- 24:51Speaker 2: only place I disagree with Trump... is on the dust,
- 24:55Speaker 2: the jugular dust. He's making that a big deal when
- 24:58Speaker 2: we get that back.
- 24:59Speaker 4: We can monitor that.
- 25:01Speaker 2: We can watch that. You know, Russia could sell them
- 25:04Speaker 2: a nuke. China could sell them a nuke. North Korea
- 25:08Speaker 2: could sell them a nuke. They could eventually get their
- 25:10Speaker 2: hands on a nuke, even without any technology of how
- 25:13Speaker 2: to do it. So don't stop the negotiations or stop
- 25:19Speaker 2: the attacks over the dust. You know, just wipe them out.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Just wipe them out.
- 25:27Speaker 1: All right.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Maybe leave them some dust when we're done, if you
- 25:30Speaker 2: absolutely have to. If you absolutely have to, leave them
- 25:33Speaker 2: some of our dust. So, I've just, I've had it.
- 25:37Speaker 2: I've had it. This guy does more at 80-some years
- 25:43Speaker 2: old in an hour than Biden did in a week.
- 25:48Speaker 2: And if these Democrats, with their hatred... And the criminality,
- 25:53Speaker 2: if they can't see that and admit as a person,
- 25:57Speaker 2: you know, this guy does, he really works his butt off.
- 26:00Speaker 2: They can't admit that.
- 26:01Speaker 3: They're sick.
- 26:02Speaker 2: You know, I spend the time with the Civil War here.
- 26:06Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 26:06Speaker 2: That's how concerned I am with these corrupt Democrats and
- 26:11Speaker 2: the socialists and the communists that are trying to overtake
- 26:14Speaker 2: our country. And the Democrats aren't one bit upset about it.
- 26:18Speaker 2: They're opening their arms. They're embracing this idiot in New York, Bondani.
- 26:22Speaker 2: He said, hey, we're broke. We need more money. You
- 26:24Speaker 2: haven't done what you said you were going to do
- 26:26Speaker 2: when you're broke. I mean, I just don't know. Believe me,
- 26:31Speaker 2: I'm not one of your smartest callers, but I don't
- 26:33Speaker 2: know how anybody could be dumb enough to vote for
- 26:36Speaker 2: a comment. I have no idea how they could even
- 26:39Speaker 2: wrap their head around that and try it.
- 26:43Speaker 1: So do you foresee yourself voting for Sherrod Brown in
- 26:46Speaker 1: the general?
- 26:48Speaker 2: Maybe when hell freezes over. I wouldn't vote for Sherrod.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Sherrod Brown, what did Sherrod Brown do?
- 26:54Speaker 1: He backed everything Joe Biden did.
- 26:56Speaker 2: He did what Obama wanted. Sherrod Brown did it. I
- 27:00Speaker 2: have a buddy for the car business. He's passed away now.
- 27:03Speaker 2: But his family's good friends with Sherrod Brown. I can
- 27:06Speaker 2: remember him 20 years ago telling me, a great guy,
- 27:09Speaker 2: Sherrod Brown. Sherrod Brown hasn't done a damn thing. Nothing
- 27:13Speaker 2: except get us in trouble, agree with Biden, and create inflation.
- 27:17Speaker 2: That's all they know how to do. They know how
- 27:19Speaker 2: to tax you. They know how to collect money. They
- 27:22Speaker 2: know how to pass it out to people that benefits
- 27:24Speaker 2: them to pass it out to. And then they just
- 27:27Speaker 2: rinse and repeat.
- 27:28Speaker 5: They do it again.
- 27:28Speaker 2: I mean, you don't need the Democrats. You really don't.
- 27:33Speaker 2: They're just, they're mentally ill. When Trump said they're mentally ill,
- 27:37Speaker 2: he was absolutely right. And I don't care if you're
- 27:39Speaker 2: a really nice person and you go to mass every week.
- 27:42Speaker 2: If you vote Democrat, you're an idiot. You're an absolute idiot.
- 27:46Speaker 2: If you can't see the difference, there's something wrong with you.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Because it's right there, plain as day. Hey, I'm not
- 27:54Speaker 2: saying all Republicans are saints. I hate the rhinos. You know,
- 27:57Speaker 2: I don't like our governor.
- 27:58Speaker 5: He's a lion.
- 27:59Speaker 2: He's a rhino. I'm not crazy about Doom in the Senate.
- 28:03Speaker 2: I don't like him. He's a rhino. You know, but
- 28:06Speaker 2: if you're going to get effective financially, in a bad way,
- 28:11Speaker 2: the chances are that's going to happen under the Democrats
- 28:14Speaker 2: and not the Republicans. So I'll stick with the Republicans.
- 28:18Speaker 1: There you go. All right. Enjoyed every bit of it, Nick.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Thank you. Appreciate it.
- 28:23Speaker 3: All right.
- 28:23Speaker 1: There he is, man. Words of wisdom from a life
- 28:26Speaker 1: of experience. And good old Nick, you're on here.
- 28:31Speaker 3: Hey, Warren.
- 28:32Speaker 4: How are you?
- 28:32Speaker 7: Good.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Hi, Mike.
- 28:34Speaker 4: I hope everything worked its way out yesterday. After, you know,
- 28:40Speaker 4: the Ted and Nick, or not Ted and Nick, but Rich.
- 28:45Speaker 4: It all works out.
- 28:46Speaker 1: It's all going to work out.
- 28:48Speaker 7: It's all going to work out.
- 28:50Speaker 1: All right. Comments, please.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I just want to go back to your caller,
- 28:54Speaker 4: I think, right around 5 o'clock that was talking about the,
- 28:58Speaker 4: you know, businesses paying taxes and all that other stuff. Yes.
- 29:02Speaker 4: I think that was around 5. Let me ask you
- 29:04Speaker 4: a question. So, because you're a business owner and you
- 29:09Speaker 4: said you stroked a lot of checks out to the government,
- 29:13Speaker 4: how do you get that money to write a check
- 29:19Speaker 4: out for your tax?
- 29:19Speaker 1: Right. I mean, a business has to do... They make
- 29:23Speaker 1: it difficult for business anymore in a lot of cases
- 29:26Speaker 1: to function. I mean, listen, I don't totally disagree with
- 29:33Speaker 1: that guy in a sense of... What he is saying
- 29:36Speaker 1: is you can't take all the taxes away from business. Like,
- 29:39Speaker 1: for example, I thought just when he was making a point,
- 29:42Speaker 1: if you eliminate property taxes, now if Walmart or Home
- 29:46Speaker 1: Depot aren't paying property taxes, are you going to shift
- 29:49Speaker 1: all that burden to the individual? And that is a
- 29:53Speaker 1: fair point to make, to say we're going to let
- 29:55Speaker 1: them off the hook and they're not going to pay that.
- 29:58Speaker 4: Okay. Can I stop you real quick?
- 30:00Speaker 2: Sure.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 30:01Speaker 4: Where does the money come from that they pay that?
- 30:05Speaker 4: Isn't the individual already paying the freight?
- 30:08Speaker 1: Well, you can make that argument, but needless to say,
- 30:12Speaker 1: it never seems like it washes out that way, that
- 30:15Speaker 1: your prices go dramatically down because we eliminate that. I mean,
- 30:19Speaker 1: you would like to think, oh, the prices have come
- 30:21Speaker 1: down because they don't have to pay that burden, but
- 30:24Speaker 1: it doesn't seem like it works out that way, and
- 30:26Speaker 1: you just get more taxes put on you. I think
- 30:30Speaker 1: his point is legitimate, because on paper it looks good.
- 30:35Speaker 4: Yes, on paper, but in all reality... you know, we
- 30:39Speaker 4: as consumers pay 100% of the tax bill of a corporation. So,
- 30:48Speaker 4: you know, I'm just trying to think of how we
- 30:51Speaker 4: can streamline this and cut out the middleman, which would
- 30:54Speaker 4: be the, you know, the company. Just put the entire
- 31:00Speaker 4: burden where the consumer or slash taxpayer... He's it.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Well, his argument, his argument, and there's there's a certain
- 31:13Speaker 1: amount of justification to it. He's saying that the state
- 31:16Speaker 1: of Iowa has cut business tax so dramatically. And like
- 31:21Speaker 1: I said, paper, you're not getting a savings from that.
- 31:23Speaker 1: And it's been shifted.
- 31:26Speaker 6: Right.
- 31:26Speaker 1: And it's been shifted to the individual dramatically. And there
- 31:29Speaker 1: is truth to that.
- 31:31Speaker 4: But if your taxes, if you could run on, I'm
- 31:36Speaker 4: not going to charge, I'm not going to have any
- 31:38Speaker 4: of you people pay taxes. It's just going to be
- 31:41Speaker 4: all on corporations. Well, you know, I could see a
- 31:47Speaker 4: lot of people voting for that, but not knowing what
- 31:52Speaker 4: their tax bill truly is. And that's a big problem
- 31:55Speaker 4: in this country, because we've got all these programs that
- 31:59Speaker 4: need to be funded. Most of them... people would not
- 32:03Speaker 4: fund if they had to write it directly out of
- 32:06Speaker 4: their pocket.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Well, I would agree with that, with the exception of
- 32:15Speaker 1: the people that... You've got so many people that are
- 32:18Speaker 1: on the dole that vote in their best interest because
- 32:21Speaker 1: they're not paying it, they're benefiting from it.
- 32:23Speaker 4: Sure. Sure. So just put it on the individual. They
- 32:29Speaker 4: think that, you know.
- 32:31Speaker 1: I mean, you look at New York or Virginia, and
- 32:36Speaker 1: what are these trying to do? They want to take
- 32:38Speaker 1: from productive people and shift it to non-productive people. Well,
- 32:44Speaker 1: how long are you supposed to do that? How much
- 32:49Speaker 1: more can you take? At what point do you say
- 32:53Speaker 1: to a non-productive person, get off your arse and go
- 32:55Speaker 1: do something? Where is personal responsibility?
- 32:59Speaker 4: The incentive to stay there on the couch.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Right.
- 33:04Speaker 6: Right?
- 33:05Speaker 4: I mean, that's the bottom line. But in the end,
- 33:10Speaker 4: you know, when they come out and they go, oh, corporations,
- 33:12Speaker 4: they don't pay any taxes. You know, we're going to
- 33:14Speaker 4: jack up the corporate rate. And, you know, now you've
- 33:18Speaker 4: got this. I would like to take... All of these
- 33:21Speaker 4: weapons that our elected officials use to bludgeon us and
- 33:28Speaker 4: separate us, you know, into different groups. Because as we've
- 33:34Speaker 4: been separated, it's a lot easier to be picked off.
- 33:38Speaker 4: And right now, the productive, they're getting picked off. The non-productive, yeah,
- 33:45Speaker 4: you know, they just raise their, you know... We'll give
- 33:49Speaker 4: them some more food stamps or, you know, whatever, SNAP benefits,
- 33:53Speaker 4: whatever it is these days. I don't have a clue.
- 33:58Speaker 4: But we'll make sure that the corporations, that these people
- 34:01Speaker 4: think that the corporations are paying for it. So it
- 34:06Speaker 4: doesn't compute. In the end, the taxes only come out
- 34:11Speaker 4: of the productive pocket, not the... You know, I don't
- 34:17Speaker 4: want to say, well, I will say the freeloader, okay,
- 34:20Speaker 4: because that's white collar as well. Only the productive, that's
- 34:27Speaker 4: the only place to get any kind of tax revenue. Now,
- 34:33Speaker 4: I don't want to go crazy on this, but, and
- 34:38Speaker 4: I'm sick and tired of, you know, people thinking that
- 34:41Speaker 4: they need, that everybody needs to have blind allegiance to Trump. Sure. Sure.
- 34:45Speaker 4: I'm satisfied that Trump's our president, but I want a
- 34:49Speaker 4: whole lot more. And, you know, I'm not worried about
- 34:52Speaker 4: so much a nuclear weapon right away, but the tyranny
- 34:56Speaker 4: that these globalists want to put on us, that scares
- 35:04Speaker 4: me way more than, you know, some Iranian with a
- 35:11Speaker 4: button for the nuclear button on his desk.
- 35:18Speaker 1: All right, so it's different priorities.
- 35:22Speaker 4: Exactly. I mean, it really is. I mean, we've got
- 35:25Speaker 4: 182 days now until the midterms. Okay, it's going to
- 35:30Speaker 4: be a bloodbath if we don't get the economy. And
- 35:36Speaker 4: I don't mean just this inflationary pressure from this war. Okay,
- 35:43Speaker 4: if we don't get that taken care of. And also
- 35:47Speaker 4: the SAVE Act. Those need to be– the SAVE Act
- 35:55Speaker 4: really needs to be taken care of right away.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Yeah, and Trump says you've got to get rid of
- 36:01Speaker 1: the filibuster for whatever reason to be able to get
- 36:04Speaker 1: it done.
- 36:06Speaker 4: I've been on the fence on that, but you know what?
- 36:08Speaker 1: He claims the Democrats would do it, so you might
- 36:10Speaker 1: as well.
