- 0:24Speaker 1: back this week and we are covering an episode out
- 0:29Speaker 1: of Kentucky. No, a case out of Kentucky. It was
- 0:33Speaker 1: a it was a very strange case that I caught
- 0:37Speaker 1: watching True Crime with Aphrodity Jones. So we're gonna be
- 0:41Speaker 1: covering that. It's about a senator who lost his marbles.
- 0:46Speaker 2: To was congressman lost his marbles?
- 0:50Speaker 1: No, he was a Kentucky State senator.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah, what season? What episode and season was this?
- 0:56Speaker 1: I don't know, Stuart, Why would you ask me? Why
- 0:58Speaker 1: don't you do some research? All you have to just
- 1:00Speaker 1: find out what episode?
- 1:01Speaker 2: I'm doing research. I'm asking a question, you're asking me, Yes,
- 1:04Speaker 2: that's my research. All right.
- 1:06Speaker 1: So back to the case. It is out of Kentucky.
- 1:09Speaker 1: We haven't been to Kentucky in a while.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:11Speaker 1: They don't cover a lot of stuff that's out of Kentucky.
- 1:14Speaker 2: It seems like there's just Bardstown.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Bardstown is all you all y'all got out There is Bartstown,
- 1:21Speaker 1: the case that just keeps on giving. So yeah, we're
- 1:25Speaker 1: gonna do a case out of Kentucky and then just
- 1:28Speaker 1: quickly the business of it all. Stue rate review, subscribe
- 1:32Speaker 1: on wherever you get your podcast? What's the one, the
- 1:36Speaker 1: big one? Apple? I guess Spotify. Are we still on Spotify?
- 1:40Speaker 1: We are still on Spotify. I think they got mad
- 1:43Speaker 1: at us for one of those episodes we collaborated, didn't they.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, there was seven years ago.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Yes, Spotify sent is something saying we were in copyright
- 1:55Speaker 1: infringement over some music, and I was like, which one?
- 1:57Speaker 1: Which one is it? Because we have from the people
- 2:01Speaker 1: that that have the blanche that does our intro music.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Stop looking at me like that. We got permission from
- 2:11Speaker 1: them a long time ago to use their music in
- 2:13Speaker 1: our intro. So I was like, okay, well, we'll just
- 2:15Speaker 1: send them the the the email stating that we can
- 2:19Speaker 1: use their song. But it wasn't even it's not our
- 2:21Speaker 1: main like intro music that the problem was. It was
- 2:24Speaker 1: like one episode, a Halloween episode where I guess somebody
- 2:27Speaker 1: used some It was a collaboration with a bunch of
- 2:29Speaker 1: other podcasts and we did like a spooky story from
- 2:33Speaker 1: like our area or whatever, and I guess they used
- 2:36Speaker 1: like halloween music, like not Halloween not even a song Halloween.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Halloween sounds, you know, like something, And I was like, well,
- 2:46Speaker 1: just leave it. They can just take that one down.
- 2:48Speaker 1: It's probably terrible anyway. So anyways, spotty, probably.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Because we were with a bunch of other people that
- 2:54Speaker 2: made us look better. Yeah, but maybe we drug them down.
- 2:57Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Did they contact all the other podcast us to tell
- 3:00Speaker 1: them that they were going to take their episode down?
- 3:02Speaker 1: We are all in any other podcasts still doing it?
- 3:05Speaker 1: That is a question, because this was seven years ago.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Eight years ago.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I think, well, mine's a madness. I think it's still
- 3:11Speaker 2: doing that.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I'd have to see who was on there to
- 3:14Speaker 1: see if they were still doing it. Anyways, neither here
- 3:16Speaker 1: nor there, write review, subscribe five stars only. If you
- 3:19Speaker 1: want to criticize us, just do it in the comments Patreon.
- 3:22Speaker 1: We appreciate everybody who's hanging around. We appreciate your support.
- 3:27Speaker 1: And then yes, that's mail, and then we have Instagram, Facebook.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I'm really bad at the tiktoks, so I try, but
- 3:38Speaker 1: it's I'm not the best at posting there. But all right,
- 3:40Speaker 1: so let's go ahead and get into our case out
- 3:42Speaker 1: of Kentucky. So we start in lexing Kinton, Kentuck. Good lord, Kentucky,
- 3:47Speaker 1: look up.
- 3:48Speaker 2: What is wrong with you?
- 3:49Speaker 1: I don't know. No, I'm not Pensentucky. I was thinking of.
- 3:52Speaker 2: That Tony fella.
- 3:53Speaker 1: No, Pensentucky you know on the Orange is the New Black?
- 3:56Speaker 2: No, what that was like twenty years ago?
- 4:00Speaker 1: Oh my god. Anyways, in Lexington, Kentucky, on September eleventh,
- 4:05Speaker 1: two thousand and nine, around six am, twenty nine year
- 4:09Speaker 1: old Amanda Ross is walking to her car at her
- 4:12Speaker 1: apartment complex. Now, Amanda worked at the State Department of Insurance.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Didn't know that was a thing, but it's a thing. Yes,
- 4:19Speaker 1: State Department of Insurance.
- 4:22Speaker 2: The Virginia State Department of Insurance.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Oh okay, I mean like the state department. So it'd
- 4:31Speaker 1: be the Kentucky State Department of Insurance.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Yes' not the State Department of I can't think of
- 4:38Speaker 2: That is.
- 4:39Speaker 3: So weird, like such a weird place to work.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Why would they name it like something that state?
- 4:44Speaker 2: It has one?
- 4:46Speaker 1: Anyways, Okay, it makes more sense if you put Kentucky
- 4:48Speaker 1: State Department of Insurance and you put like a little
- 4:51Speaker 1: bit of a pause between. Okay. So she had aspirations
- 4:55Speaker 1: to work in politics, and this job was kind of
- 4:58Speaker 1: her foot in the door. Suddenly there are gun shots
- 5:01Speaker 1: heard and Amanda lay on the asphalt. A detectives arrive
- 5:05Speaker 1: at the scene after witnesses called police after hearing those gunshots.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Now she is rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Now at the crime scene, they find her purse with
- 5:15Speaker 1: her BlackBerry iPhone, a handgun, and everything else was still there,
- 5:20Speaker 1: so robbery was quickly ruled out. Another interesting item in
- 5:25Speaker 1: her purse was a paper for a protective order, and
- 5:28Speaker 1: they quickly learned that she was in a domestic violence
- 5:31Speaker 1: situation and that is why she was carrying that handgun. Now,
- 5:35Speaker 1: as they are falling up on leads from Amanda's murder,
- 5:38Speaker 1: they receive another tip stew Yes, Now, this one is
- 5:43Speaker 1: about a man in a cemetery out in Horse Cave, Kentucky.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Horse Cave, Yeah, familiar. No, Now, this is about two
- 5:51Speaker 1: hours away from Lexington where Amanda was murdered. Now, someone
- 5:56Speaker 1: saw a fanny pack covered in blood, a knife, and
- 5:59Speaker 1: a man with a handgun. Well, police arrive on the
- 6:02Speaker 1: scene and they do find that man. He is drunk.
- 6:06Speaker 1: He's waving around a thirty eight. He's telling police that
- 6:09Speaker 1: he's going to try to kill himself, and all of
- 6:12Speaker 1: a sudden he shoots the gun and then falls to
- 6:14Speaker 1: the ground.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Sounds like something out of a movie. I know.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I told you this is like some of these ID
- 6:20Speaker 1: channel like Discovery, ID Network, they have like the craziest
- 6:25Speaker 1: like Dayline don't really cover crazy shit like this, you know,
- 6:28Speaker 1: They're like, we're gonna find some crazy shit. And so
- 6:31Speaker 1: these I do like those shows because they do they
- 6:33Speaker 1: have interesting, like just weird things that you wouldn't that
- 6:36Speaker 1: you couldn't make up, you know. So they think he
- 6:40Speaker 1: has killed himself because he said I'm gonna kill myself
- 6:42Speaker 1: and then he shoots a gun off and fell to
- 6:45Speaker 1: the ground. So they run over there and he is
- 6:49Speaker 1: not dead.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Not dead, no, not even shot no.
- 6:53Speaker 1: So the blood all over him is actually from where
- 6:56Speaker 1: he tried to cut his wrists. They can see it
- 6:57Speaker 1: coming out of his wrist. And when he shot the gun,
- 7:00Speaker 1: he just kind of shot it into the air. He
- 7:02Speaker 1: didn't actually kill himsel like shoot at himself. He just
- 7:06Speaker 1: kind of I guess, maybe up by his head. So
- 7:09Speaker 1: they notice he is near a set of graves, and
- 7:12Speaker 1: the graves belong to the Nun family, specifically the grave
- 7:15Speaker 1: of Louis B. Nunn, who's the former governor of Kentucky.
- 7:19Speaker 2: You shut up.
- 7:20Speaker 1: I know it's getting interesting already. Are you on the
- 7:23Speaker 1: edge of your seat? I am good because it's your turn.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Please quickly find out the identity there man, man, I
- 7:31Speaker 2: can't read either. What the hell is going on?
- 7:32Speaker 1: Okay, that's because you made fun of me?
- 7:34Speaker 2: So this is what Kara? Kara? You don't believe Kara?
- 7:39Speaker 1: What do you mean? I don't believe in karma?
- 7:41Speaker 2: You don't believe in Kara's jinx? You no, I got
- 7:45Speaker 2: a cat named Jenks.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Well no, if I believed in jinxes, most people wouldn't
- 7:51Speaker 1: get a black cat.
- 7:52Speaker 2: I think they're.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Okay. Well, whatever you read, bad, you smile bad. Probably
- 8:01Speaker 1: to take a shower.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Police quickly find out the identity of the man. His
- 8:07Speaker 2: name is Steve Nunn. Steve is the fifty six year
- 8:10Speaker 2: old son of Louis, and he is also the man
- 8:13Speaker 2: listed on Amanda's protective order. Steve was a prominent figure
- 8:17Speaker 2: came together it is He was prominent figure following in
- 8:21Speaker 2: his father's footsteps. He was elected to be as a
- 8:25Speaker 2: state representative in Kentucky and had formerly ran for the
- 8:29Speaker 2: governorship Steve was arrested on gun charges. To get him
- 8:33Speaker 2: in jail while they figured out his involvement with Amanda's murder,
- 8:37Speaker 2: they took his car into evidence and they found a
- 8:39Speaker 2: Manila envelope with a seven page rant on how the
- 8:43Speaker 2: world was unfair to him and that they were out
- 8:46Speaker 2: to get him, and how he blamed Amanda for most
- 8:49Speaker 2: all of his problems and he wanted revenge.
- 8:53Speaker 1: So it's pretty clear cut.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Yes, end, that was our case for this week. They
- 9:01Speaker 2: learn that Amanda was Steve's former fiance, and just three
- 9:05Speaker 2: days later, using the letter and ballistic evidence at the
- 9:08Speaker 2: crime scene, they charged Steve with the murder of Amanda.
- 9:13Speaker 1: All right, this is where in the episode that we
- 9:15Speaker 1: do the.
- 9:17Speaker 3: No the pause.
- 9:18Speaker 1: You say, I'm sure you're wondering how we got here,
- 9:21Speaker 1: you know that, like the Saved by the Bell where
- 9:24Speaker 1: everybody pauses in the background.
- 9:25Speaker 2: No. No, I'm used to the different into the past.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Like the Twilight Zone. No Oh, anyway, so we go
- 9:35Speaker 1: back twenty years because we need to figure out how
- 9:36Speaker 1: we got here. It didn't just we didn't just roll
- 9:39Speaker 1: up on here and someone's drunk in a in a
- 9:42Speaker 1: cemetery and you know, murdering people. So we go back
- 9:46Speaker 1: twenty years to try to and we learn a little
- 9:49Speaker 1: more about Steve and his life growing up. Now, Steve
- 9:53Speaker 1: grew up in the limelight. As you can imagine, he
- 9:56Speaker 1: was a good looking kid. They kept telling they kept
- 9:59Speaker 1: saying it as he was older when he was running
- 10:01Speaker 1: for stuff, that he was like a good looking guy.
- 10:03Speaker 1: He was not a good looking guy when he was older.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I'm no, he was not.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Fuck he fell out of the ugly tree and had
- 10:10Speaker 2: at least five or six branches.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know if he was that ugly,
- 10:13Speaker 1: but he was not. I would not classify him as
- 10:17Speaker 1: good a good looking politicians. Yeah, so anyway, So but
- 10:23Speaker 1: as a kid, he was good looking or better looking.
- 10:26Speaker 1: And his dad's you know, prominent governor who was very popular,
- 10:30Speaker 1: and so he did get quite a bit of attention.
- 10:32Speaker 1: And he had this last name that everybody in Kentucky knew,
- 10:37Speaker 1: and so Steve he grew up going to like fancy
- 10:40Speaker 1: parties and being recognized as part of this family, probably
- 10:43Speaker 1: getting his way a lot with stuff and everything. Despite
- 10:48Speaker 1: all this, though, they did say he was a nice
- 10:51Speaker 1: He was a generally like nice person.
- 10:53Speaker 2: He wasn't respectfully, young man.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Yes. So in nineteen ninety one, Steve decides to move
- 10:59Speaker 1: into the political world where he is elected as a
- 11:02Speaker 1: state represent representative. So he that's when he's done the
- 11:06Speaker 1: Kentucky Senate.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Stewart, it sounds like his state rep.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Not a senator, No, I think he No, he's a
- 11:13Speaker 1: I thought he was a senator in the Kentucky Senate.
- 11:20Speaker 1: He's a senator. I probably just put that, Stewart, Okay, Now,
- 11:25Speaker 1: why do you have to argue with me.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I'm just telling you what you wrote.
- 11:29Speaker 1: He was a senator, Okay. I later wrote senator, which
- 11:32Speaker 1: is what he was. Oh, but I put he serves
- 11:35Speaker 1: in the house.
- 11:39Speaker 3: I don't know, Stu. Okay.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I had to write my my.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Work, like I hope you did it better than you
- 11:46Speaker 2: wrote this.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Where I work, we have to write our own pat
- 11:52Speaker 1: on the back, our own de It's called like, uh,
- 11:55Speaker 1: what is it? But you're like your annual review or whatever.
- 11:59Speaker 1: So you have to write your coming I word for
- 12:02Speaker 1: is weird. So you have to write your own So
- 12:04Speaker 1: I had to spend like four hours today because I
- 12:06Speaker 1: have to get it. I had to get it done today.
- 12:08Speaker 1: So I spent like four hours today writing, telling every
- 12:11Speaker 1: like typing up out how great I am. And yes,
- 12:16Speaker 1: it's a very weird system. I'm not going to go
- 12:19Speaker 1: into it. But anyway, so yeah, i'd fried my brain.
- 12:24Speaker 1: So yes, I did reread my thing because it is
- 12:27Speaker 1: work like several times.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I hope that you didn't like you did this.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I don't know it could I've got I got a
- 12:33Speaker 1: meet in the morning with my boss and he'll probably
- 12:35Speaker 1: be like, what's what the fuck.
- 12:36Speaker 3: You were trying to say here? I'll be like, sorry,
- 12:40Speaker 3: is the draft.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Anyway? So they so he ends up in the Senate
- 12:46Speaker 1: or the House one or the other, one or the
- 12:49Speaker 1: other for the next fifteen years. And they talk about
- 12:52Speaker 1: him being like a compassionate person and you know, wanting
- 12:55Speaker 1: to help out with the underprivileged like his father. His
- 12:59Speaker 1: dad was no own kind of for his policies where
- 13:02Speaker 1: he would you know, start public programs and this included
- 13:06Speaker 1: public television and other programs to help the underprivilege. Now,
- 13:10Speaker 1: Louis was wonderful in the public's eye, like I said,
- 13:13Speaker 1: very popular governor. However, behind the scenes he was known
- 13:17Speaker 1: to be very tough, very critical. I mean, I'm assuming
- 13:21Speaker 1: most politicians behind the scenes, if you if you're rising
- 13:25Speaker 1: to that level or whatever, you're probably not the I
- 13:28Speaker 1: wouldn't say you're one hundred percent nice behind the scenes.
- 13:30Speaker 1: You gotta be a little cutthroat, you know, you.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Gotta be a little cutthroat. You gotta discipline your children
- 13:37Speaker 2: and can't be like patting him on the back smiling. Oh,
- 13:39Speaker 2: he's such a great kid. He's a little shit sometimes.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Then I gotta no, that is not you're reading the
- 13:45Speaker 1: room wrongs due you would just wait till critical of
- 13:48Speaker 1: his he's Oh, he's overly critical. He's one of these
- 13:52Speaker 1: dads that's never happy, always disappointed. It's never enough. And
- 13:57Speaker 1: Steve was getting the brunt.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Of that, like he's got the Kero syndrome.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Oh, shut up, stew that's only for you. Wow, Yes,
- 14:06Speaker 1: that's only my critique of you. So Steve worked hard
- 14:10Speaker 1: to win his father's approval, but he just couldn't seem
- 14:13Speaker 1: to do it. No matter what he did. He was
- 14:15Speaker 1: just really critical of him, never going to say he
- 14:17Speaker 1: was proud of him. But it was all very ironic
- 14:20Speaker 1: because old Daddy Louis was hiding some secrets of his
- 14:24Speaker 1: own from the public. Now he had several mistresses. Stu
- 14:29Speaker 1: really and now the family all knew about this, including
- 14:32Speaker 1: his wife Beulah, and she tolerated it for years. But
- 14:36Speaker 1: as she was getting older, she was getting tired of
- 14:38Speaker 1: this disrespect because a lot of people said the reason
- 14:41Speaker 1: that he was governor is because she was behind him.
- 14:44Speaker 1: You know, there's usually like a strong wife behind these
- 14:47Speaker 1: politicians that make it up. And she was that.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Strong wife that ken all the secrets.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Keeping the secrets, helping run all the chaos behind the scenes,
- 14:57Speaker 1: presenting as this nice couple and everything. They had their
- 15:01Speaker 1: one child together, all that stuff. So she's getting tired
- 15:05Speaker 1: of this disrespect and like because it was at the
- 15:08Speaker 1: point where he was even taking the mistress's calls at
- 15:11Speaker 1: during dinner and he'd like get up front with Beulah
- 15:14Speaker 1: and Steve and just leave the table be like, hey, baby,
- 15:17Speaker 1: may just be calling, you know. Yeah, So it was
- 15:20Speaker 1: getting out of hand. He was way too I mean,
- 15:23Speaker 1: at least try to hide your mistresses, I guess, out
- 15:25Speaker 1: of respect for your wife. So Beulah, she actually becomes
- 15:28Speaker 1: sick with cancer and tensions continue to rise in the household,
- 15:32Speaker 1: causing a division with Steve because he or with Steve
- 15:35Speaker 1: and his father because Steve decided to side with his mother. Now,
- 15:39Speaker 1: unlike his father, Steve's mother adored him and always praised him,
- 15:44Speaker 1: so it was no surprise that he took her side.
- 15:46Speaker 1: She just was always coming up and saying, you know what,
- 15:49Speaker 1: I'm proud of you, even though your dad sucks or whatever.
- 15:51Speaker 2: It's a dick.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Now. All this tension and all this stuff going on
- 15:55Speaker 1: in the house all came to a head one night
- 15:57Speaker 1: when Steve got into it with his dad over him
- 16:00Speaker 1: his mom and actually punched him. And that is when
- 16:02Speaker 1: Louis gave Beulah an ultimatum to either choose him or
- 16:07Speaker 1: choose her son. And guess who she chose, who her son.
- 16:11Speaker 1: So Louie moves out that night, and Beulah f filed
- 16:15Speaker 1: for a divorce. So this is after he's not governor anymore,
- 16:17Speaker 1: so he can get a little missy you know out there.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Steve stepped into the role as caregiver for his mother
- 16:24Speaker 1: and he was by her side until she passed away.
- 16:28Speaker 2: With the fall of the family from grace, Steve was
- 16:31Speaker 2: still working his way in the political world when he
- 16:35Speaker 2: met Tracy.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Damren Damren, damnit dam they never pronounced her last name.
- 16:41Speaker 2: In nineteen ninety five. Tracy was from a very wealthy
- 16:44Speaker 2: family and would be a perfect match for someone like
- 16:47Speaker 2: Steve and his political aspirations.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Yes apparently, Okay, when I saw her on the show,
- 16:53Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, this bitch has got some money,
- 16:55Speaker 1: because she was she was kinda she looked real, like
- 16:59Speaker 1: her skins and everything real pretty and everything all put together.
- 17:03Speaker 1: But she was quirky though. But it's like a quirky
- 17:06Speaker 1: that you're like, oh, you have money, because you know,
- 17:08Speaker 1: it's quirky if you're eccentric, if you're rich, if you're poor,
- 17:12Speaker 1: you're just crazy. But anyways, but when we're talking money,
- 17:16Speaker 1: I believe she her family. I tried to look up
- 17:18Speaker 1: to see what their network it was, but all I
- 17:21Speaker 1: could find out they owned coal mines. And so apparently
- 17:25Speaker 1: her grandpa or somebody bought a coal mine for like
- 17:27Speaker 1: two million dollars and it was estimated to be worth
- 17:30Speaker 1: like thirty seven billion dollars or something. So that was
- 17:33Speaker 1: the estimate. So I'm assuming she was at least fault.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Their family was at least falling in the billionaire range.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I don't know if it was all the way up
- 17:40Speaker 1: at thirty seven billion, but it was I'm sure if
- 17:42Speaker 1: it was estimated to be that much, at least was.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Worth a couple of billions.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Yeah, when We Buy a coal Mine podcast March. Oh yeah,
- 17:50Speaker 1: this podcast takes Yeah, sure, sure.
- 17:54Speaker 2: I mean we're offt halfway or now what.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Do you always joke about that? It's not funny.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I find it hilarious, I know.
- 18:04Speaker 1: But it's just it's just not.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Getting back to our case. They were married very quickly,
- 18:12Speaker 2: and Steve started living the good life very quickly, private
- 18:16Speaker 2: planes and fancy dinners. But none of this made a
- 18:20Speaker 2: difference with his dad, who wrote him a letter saying
- 18:23Speaker 2: that he had no family anymore and that he was
- 18:25Speaker 2: done with. Well, evidently Louis does because he's pissed off
- 18:29Speaker 2: about getting punched in the face.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Well, I mean it's not like Steve's family didn't come
- 18:33Speaker 1: with have any money. They lived in like this mansion
- 18:35Speaker 1: or whatever, and stuff like that.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Tax para money though the governor and poly.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, it's not going to be coal mining money.
- 18:42Speaker 2: No. Tracy would not accept this, and she spoke to
- 18:46Speaker 2: Louis and the two eventually reconciled.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Yeah, she talks about how it took her a couple months,
- 18:52Speaker 1: but she said, sometimes you just need that soft spokenness
- 18:55Speaker 1: of a woman to explain the situation.
- 18:57Speaker 2: In a couple billion dollars behind you.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Yes, I think maybe she's I think we're missing some
- 19:03Speaker 1: some steps between. I spoke to him, and then they started.
- 19:07Speaker 1: He came back into his life.
- 19:09Speaker 2: I think there was said, We've got enough money to
- 19:11Speaker 2: run you for the rest of your life if you
- 19:13Speaker 2: don't shape up.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Yeah. Now, with his new marriage and his relationship with
- 19:18Speaker 1: his dad going better, Steve was happier than ever. You've
- 19:21Speaker 1: got himself, this rich wife, she's good looking. Dad's back
- 19:26Speaker 1: in his corner. So in nineteen ninety eight he had
- 19:30Speaker 1: another big win. He passed a wrote legislation and passed
- 19:35Speaker 1: a bill in the Kentucky legislature. And this bill was
- 19:39Speaker 1: for domestic violence victims, and basically is it was to
- 19:44Speaker 1: help protect them more by saying, if you have a
- 19:47Speaker 1: protective order against somebody and that person violates that and
- 19:52Speaker 1: murders you, then they are eligible for the death penalty
- 19:57Speaker 1: in Kentucky. So basically, you've already had a war, you're
- 20:00Speaker 1: supposed to stay away. You didn't. You killed this person,
- 20:03Speaker 1: We're going to throw the book at you.
- 20:05Speaker 2: So irony has come full circle.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yes, irony has come.
- 20:10Speaker 2: That was the irony.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Yes. So it was a great bill, and it was
- 20:15Speaker 1: a big win for those suffering from domestic violence because
- 20:18Speaker 1: it put another like I mean, the problem is, though,
- 20:21Speaker 1: if someone's that obsessed with you or wants to hurt
- 20:25Speaker 1: you that bad, it's it's hard to get anything to.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Stop them other than a bullet.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Yeah. So in two thousand and two, so he's had this,
- 20:36Speaker 1: got this marriage. Dad's in the corner, got this win
- 20:38Speaker 1: with this bill getting He's very popular and everything. So
- 20:41Speaker 1: in two thousand and two he decided to run for
- 20:44Speaker 1: the governorship. Tracy was pushing him. I'm sure Dado was
- 20:47Speaker 1: pushing him. Got to keep the family name in there.
- 20:50Speaker 2: He got some money to sell fund yep.
- 20:53Speaker 1: So he sets up campaign headquarters in his father's mansion. Well,
- 20:56Speaker 1: his dad quickly takes over the campaign, of course, but
- 21:00Speaker 1: this did not help. You know, he's running all the
- 21:02Speaker 1: stuff in the background, telling Steve what to do. Well,
- 21:05Speaker 1: this didn't help because Steve just the facts. The matter is,
- 21:09Speaker 1: he was not as charismatic as his dad. While his
- 21:12Speaker 1: dad was kind of a shitty person on the inside,
- 21:16Speaker 1: he was to the public. He knew how to talk
- 21:18Speaker 1: to people. He knew how to politic. Steve was more
- 21:21Speaker 1: like not the nice guy, but he did not have
- 21:25Speaker 1: that public persona where he could win people over and
- 21:28Speaker 1: things like that. So he did end up losing and
- 21:31Speaker 1: it was kind of bad and embarrassing because he got
- 21:34Speaker 1: third place.
- 21:36Speaker 2: That's not bad, but there.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Were only three.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Oh.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Now, despite this loss, Now I thought they were gonna
- 21:45Speaker 1: say Dad wrote him another letter, never spoke to him.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Despite this loss, Louis did stay in his life because
- 21:52Speaker 1: I'm sure he's like, well, his wife's still a billionaire,
- 21:54Speaker 1: so I'll hang around. But he was disappointed, but he did.
- 22:00Speaker 1: But he was kind of his fault partly. He was
- 22:02Speaker 1: running the campaign and stuff like that.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, if I ran, i'd probably finished tenth
- 22:07Speaker 2: out of two people. I don't think anybody would like me.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Well, I don't nobody liked him. You can't run. I
- 22:14Speaker 1: know what you're being sarcastic.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Well, I mean if they heckled me and would be like, hey,
- 22:17Speaker 2: fuck you, TI buddy.
- 22:19Speaker 1: They actually wrote in new people so that she.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yes, I'd be ten further down.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Yes, they actually started off with three candidates but ended
- 22:28Speaker 1: up with ten because so many people.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Were mad, Donald Duck, all the writing candidates. Yeah, we
- 22:35Speaker 2: now get to a story from Tracy, who's the eccentric
- 22:39Speaker 2: rich lady. Rich Lady x X will eventually.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Be ex wife.
- 22:44Speaker 2: I mean, we'd call her crazy, but.
- 22:45Speaker 1: She's loaded, so she's eccentric.
- 22:47Speaker 2: So she's going to tell us about this bird. It's
- 22:50Speaker 2: Christmas of two thousand and four. The whole family was
- 22:53Speaker 2: having dinner at the nun mansion and.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Having a good time. She said, everybody's dressed to the nines,
- 22:57Speaker 1: best China, love and life.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yep. And this is when a mocking bird hit the
- 23:02Speaker 2: window and continued to fly into it until it died.
- 23:07Speaker 1: She talked about like blood coming out of its chest
- 23:11Speaker 1: and stuff that sounds.
- 23:13Speaker 2: I've had birds hit the window and they just well
- 23:15Speaker 2: they hit. Yeah, they they hit and they fall in
- 23:17Speaker 2: their dazed or they're dead.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Yeah. They we haven't hit. Like where I work, the
- 23:22Speaker 1: building is like all glass from top to bottom, and
- 23:26Speaker 1: I still like so every once in a while I
- 23:27Speaker 1: sit by a window and every once in a while
- 23:30Speaker 1: they look out there and there's a dead bird. And
- 23:32Speaker 1: a lot of times they do die and it's sad.
- 23:35Speaker 1: But there was one that flew into the side like
- 23:38Speaker 1: when you walk out exit the building one of the
- 23:41Speaker 1: windows over there, and his wings were fully splayed and
- 23:45Speaker 1: so forever there was like this for like two weeks.
- 23:48Speaker 3: It because I guess.
- 23:50Speaker 1: There's no you know, there's no rain here, and they
- 23:52Speaker 1: hadn't came and cleaned the windows.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Oh there's rain when you want to go out to
- 23:55Speaker 2: the pool.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Well, yeah, this is true. So anyways, I guess the
- 23:58Speaker 1: bird had like dust on him, or so much dust
- 24:00Speaker 1: on the window. It like flopped in there and you
- 24:02Speaker 1: could just see his spready like his his his wings
- 24:05Speaker 1: spread out and it's just like so depressing. And then
- 24:08Speaker 1: the bird laid there forever and then something carried it.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I watched the progression of this bird, his body get
- 24:16Speaker 1: moved around until finally dispar Yeah. That was Macall.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Get it?
- 24:27Speaker 2: Yeah? I get it.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Isn't that what a bird?
- 24:30Speaker 1: Didn't there a Macall bird?
- 24:31Speaker 2: There's a Macall But cool, cool, there's a monkey called
- 24:37Speaker 2: macaque Stewart.
- 24:40Speaker 1: It's not even true.
- 24:42Speaker 2: It is true. Jackass had a little macock con monkey
- 24:47Speaker 2: and he's like, this is my cock doing push ups
- 24:51Speaker 2: and all this stuff. Yeah, okay, Johnny Knoxville or somebody.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Okay, I didn't watch a lot of Jackets.
- 24:56Speaker 2: I didn't watch. However, I did see the Macoq episode
- 25:01Speaker 2: with the monkey.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I just remember, don't feed Phil. This wasn't this was
- 25:07Speaker 1: the one guy. This is bayam Mar Jarrow what's his name?
- 25:12Speaker 1: And he had his dad was like really big and
- 25:14Speaker 1: so he made him shirts that said don't feed Phil,
- 25:18Speaker 1: and like nobody was allowed to feed him or whatever.
- 25:21Speaker 1: He did a show anyway.
- 25:23Speaker 2: I didn't watch jack Ass.
- 25:24Speaker 1: No, it wasn't Jackass. It was like another show.
- 25:27Speaker 2: I'm sure he spin off from Jackass.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure. Anyway, back to the floot of the day.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Back to crazy story about this bird flying constantly in
- 25:37Speaker 2: the window until it actually does die. But because we're
- 25:42Speaker 2: saying it's a one and done, yeah, they fly in,
- 25:45Speaker 2: they kill themselves or their day.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Well, no, it gets worse because she's you know, I.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Know it gets worse. Okay, I was saying, I don't
- 25:52Speaker 2: believe that the bird kept flying it.
- 25:54Speaker 1: No, I don't either. I think they were had a
- 25:56Speaker 1: little too much to drink.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I think Tracy was on something alcohol or
- 26:00Speaker 2: something that harder.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Allegedly money. She could be listening, she could give me something, Okay,
- 26:08Speaker 1: get on with it. People are getting frustrated.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Supposedly, the birds, the mocking birds kept coming back. And
- 26:15Speaker 2: a month later, No, but.
- 26:17Speaker 1: You miss skipped the part where they talked about Louie
- 26:19Speaker 1: said said he told everyone that it was a bad
- 26:23Speaker 1: omen and that it meant death, and he was worried
- 26:25Speaker 1: the birds were coming. He's like, I hope the birds
- 26:26Speaker 1: aren't coming after me, and he was joking about it. Supposedly, yeah,
- 26:30Speaker 1: but everybody else apparently took it very seriously.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Well. Supposedly the birds dead too, because they kept coming
- 26:35Speaker 2: back month after month.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Yes, no, not month, all month long, she said. Birds.
- 26:43Speaker 1: The birds kept doing this, like flying into the window
- 26:45Speaker 1: and killing themselves. Again. I don't believe this happened, but okay.
- 26:50Speaker 2: And then a month after the initial dinner, on Christmas,
- 26:54Speaker 2: Louis was dead from a heart attack. Tracy said. They
- 26:58Speaker 2: moved into the home the same night that his father does.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Now, if you're worried about bad omens, why would you
- 27:04Speaker 1: move into that creepy ass mansion the same night that
- 27:07Speaker 1: he died.
- 27:08Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Why are you there with your bags ready to go?
- 27:14Speaker 2: You don't have it. Did they just push him out
- 27:15Speaker 2: of the master bedroom? And as soon as the ambulance
- 27:18Speaker 2: holed his body off, did they even change the sheets?
- 27:21Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Tracy also claims that the house had bad energy and
- 27:27Speaker 2: may have been haunted. Yet again, why are you moving in?
- 27:32Speaker 2: Steve slowly turns into his father while he's in the house.
- 27:35Speaker 1: This is Tracy telling this.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Yes, Tracy telling us all this stuff. And he begins
- 27:40Speaker 2: drinking excessively, and he becomes obsessed with the birds outside.
- 27:44Speaker 2: He continued following in his father's footsteps, and he began
- 27:48Speaker 2: having affairs, and he didn't try to hide them from Tracy.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Tracy said she started he started to lose his mind,
- 27:55Speaker 2: stating that he was, in fact Louis being nuts.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Whenever he'd get really drunk, can cheat hold him and stuff,
- 28:01Speaker 1: he'd say, I'm Louis.
- 28:06Speaker 2: She said it was something like out of the Shining
- 28:09Speaker 2: or Amityville horror.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Again, this is Tracy telling this week. We need some
- 28:15Speaker 1: outside sources to confirm.
- 28:20Speaker 2: And then Tracy said the final straw came when he
- 28:23Speaker 2: lost his state Senate seat in two thousand and six
- 28:26Speaker 2: due to his behavior of drinking and carrying on. Tracy
- 28:32Speaker 2: also decided to finally leave Steve that same year. After
- 28:35Speaker 2: putting up with him for years.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Yeah, him him not being a that was the last thing.
- 28:40Speaker 1: She's like, you're not even a sinner anymore. I can't
- 28:42Speaker 1: even do well. It's probably embarrassing for her, you know,
- 28:45Speaker 1: because it was getting out around the town.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Yes. Yeah, the schmuck is cheating on me. I got money, bitch,
- 28:53Speaker 2: I got options. Yeah, I can, even though I'm a
- 28:55Speaker 2: crazy but.
- 28:56Speaker 1: She and she's good looking too, so she could definitely.
- 28:59Speaker 2: I mean, I've let her talk about mocking birds, like, sure,
- 29:02Speaker 2: you got billions of dollars, you're pretty tell me about
- 29:05Speaker 2: all these mocking birds out in the window. I don't
- 29:07Speaker 2: get a ship.
- 29:09Speaker 1: After his life is completely falling apart, Steve tried to
- 29:13Speaker 1: make a political comeback by crossing party lines and endorsing
- 29:18Speaker 1: Steve Basher for governor s because Steve and his dad
- 29:23Speaker 1: were Republicans and the state of Kentucky was slowly turning
- 29:28Speaker 1: towards Democrat and so he's like, this is my this
- 29:32Speaker 1: is my chance.
- 29:33Speaker 2: This is how I revived. Yeah, switch party support this dude.
- 29:37Speaker 2: He'll give me a cushy little assignment in his cabinet, yeah,
- 29:40Speaker 2: or his administration, and saved me from.
- 29:43Speaker 1: This back in so Basher. He did win, and Steve
- 29:47Speaker 1: was on the upped up for a while. He's riding
- 29:49Speaker 1: this new high. He's not drinking anymore. He's pulling his
- 29:54Speaker 1: life together. And to top off his comeback, he runs
- 29:57Speaker 1: into Amanda Ross. Now he knew Amanda from her father,
- 30:01Speaker 1: who was actually a lobbyist for Steve, you know, at
- 30:04Speaker 1: some point, and so he had met Amanda a couple
- 30:07Speaker 1: of years before. But Amanda at that time was married
- 30:10Speaker 1: the last time he saw her, and now she is not.
- 30:13Speaker 1: She had gotten divorced. Now he's excited about this because
- 30:16Speaker 1: she is pretty and she is about half his age.
- 30:21Speaker 2: I'm still going with the pretty billionaire.
- 30:23Speaker 1: But okay, yeah, so Steve is or she's and then
- 30:27Speaker 1: she also, on top of all this, is interested in Steve.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Now she does, I mean she's they're both kind of
- 30:35Speaker 1: when they met, they kind of had ulterior motives for
- 30:39Speaker 1: political reasons. I think anybody who's running for office or
- 30:43Speaker 1: in politics always has that kind of like how is
- 30:45Speaker 1: this going to help me make it? You know? Further up,
- 30:48Speaker 1: So Amanda, she's young, she's new in politics, she has
- 30:55Speaker 1: you know, family that's been in politics for decades. Steve,
- 30:59Speaker 1: he's seeing this like, Okay, this might be a good
- 31:01Speaker 1: move for me to have this young woman that's that's
- 31:03Speaker 1: up and coming. And then yeah, and then Amanda is
- 31:08Speaker 1: also looking at Steve. He's this well known last name.
- 31:11Speaker 1: He just got back this governor that one, like things
- 31:14Speaker 1: are looking up for him, and so I think they
- 31:16Speaker 1: both kind of saw it as an opportunity on top
- 31:18Speaker 1: of just like liking each other.
- 31:22Speaker 2: You're reading a lot of shit in that.
- 31:23Speaker 1: I'm not reading a lot of shit into it. That's
- 31:26Speaker 1: what they said.
- 31:27Speaker 2: They said she was.
- 31:28Speaker 1: From the Aphrodite Jones. She said that they're from she was.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Amanda was had like a political pedigree. She may not
- 31:36Speaker 1: have had as much money or as much clout as Steve,
- 31:39Speaker 1: but she was going down that path of politics. And
- 31:43Speaker 1: she's young and fresh and new and everything like that.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Plus she's half his age, so he's definitely gonna hop
- 31:48Speaker 1: on that.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Why wouldn't he. So, as we were saying previously, Amanda
- 31:56Speaker 2: lands a lucrative job in the State Department of Insurance
- 32:01Speaker 2: for Kentucky. For Kentucky, it was a department head level
- 32:06Speaker 2: and it was very important.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Yeah, she's like a director.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, she's up there in the admin up there
- 32:14Speaker 2: pretty high. Steve also got a boost in his political
- 32:17Speaker 2: career because Governor Bursher appointed him as Secretary of Health
- 32:21Speaker 2: and Family Services over the domestic abuse policy.
- 32:26Speaker 1: I did look up the Basher guy. He's no longer governor,
- 32:29Speaker 1: but his son's the governor.
- 32:30Speaker 2: So this is just family living off the name.
- 32:35Speaker 1: What the nuns wanted to do is now happening.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Things start to get even better for Steve and Amanda
- 32:41Speaker 2: when they become engaged on Amanda's twenty ninth birthday.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Oh Steve, Yeah, and he used old Steve's mother, Beulah's ring,
- 32:50Speaker 1: so it's probably a pretty good sized ring.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Probably a nice rock. But things began going downhill quickly
- 32:56Speaker 2: after that. Amanda was jealous and Steve was flirting, and
- 33:01Speaker 2: then he began drinking again and made things even worse.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think she was a she liked drinking
- 33:08Speaker 1: as well, and so we got this this thing. She'd
- 33:11Speaker 1: get jealous, but then he'd make it worse because he
- 33:14Speaker 1: probably was flirting with people because that's what he did
- 33:17Speaker 1: to his ex wife, So she had reasons.
- 33:19Speaker 2: She had her reasons, so we know Tracy was not lying.
- 33:23Speaker 1: No.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Just six months later they call off the engagement and
- 33:27Speaker 2: Steve moved out, but they remained in contact. In February
- 33:31Speaker 2: of two thousand and nine, Amanda and Steve were at
- 33:34Speaker 2: her apartment and they were drinking. He wanted to leave,
- 33:37Speaker 2: but she argued with him, and supposedly she would not
- 33:41Speaker 2: let him leave, so they got into a physical altercation
- 33:45Speaker 2: and he ends up slapping her and throwing her up
- 33:48Speaker 2: against the wall, breaking the lamp in the process.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Yes.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Yeah, two people drinking probably shouldn't be arguing, especially if
- 33:56Speaker 2: they got violent tempers. Police were called do the apartment
- 34:01Speaker 2: and it was noted that they both had marks, they
- 34:03Speaker 2: both had bruises. It appeared that they were both aggressors
- 34:06Speaker 2: in this fight. Amanda filed for an emergency protective order
- 34:10Speaker 2: against Steve, which is ironic, and this quickly got out
- 34:14Speaker 2: to the news. He was placed on administrative leave until
- 34:18Speaker 2: this was sorted out. Yes, you don't want to be
- 34:21Speaker 2: the director in charge of.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Family domestic abuse policy and now you've been accused of
- 34:27Speaker 1: domestic abuse, So yeah, it seemed I mean, I don't
- 34:29Speaker 1: want to say anything bad about the victim in this
- 34:32Speaker 1: or anything like that, but it did appear that she
- 34:35Speaker 1: he had cuts and things like on him. And then
- 34:37Speaker 1: she had bruises. So not saying what he did was okay,
- 34:41Speaker 1: but it did seem like maybe she was doing things
- 34:44Speaker 1: as well. It was just a bad situation in general. Now, Steve,
- 34:49Speaker 1: he's going out trying to save his career, and so
- 34:51Speaker 1: he starts claiming that Amanda was baiting him and wanted
- 34:54Speaker 1: to ruin his career and she was successful. Now do
- 34:58Speaker 1: I personally think maybe that she did the protective order
- 35:03Speaker 1: because it would run him? Yes, I do believe that, Okay,
- 35:09Speaker 1: because they from what I could tell, they only had
- 35:11Speaker 1: this one incident, so it wasn't like and like I said,
- 35:15Speaker 1: they both had. They both seemed to be into it
- 35:18Speaker 1: with each other and everything that. So do I think
- 35:20Speaker 1: that she probably was thinking, Okay, I'm really gonna get him.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Not saying he didn't deserve the protective order, I'm just
- 35:27Speaker 1: saying she knew, she knew it would probably it would
- 35:30Speaker 1: end him whenever she did this. Not saying anything he
- 35:33Speaker 1: did was right. I'm just saying that, Uh No.
- 35:35Speaker 2: He sounds like a Skis bottle and we had a coming.
- 35:37Speaker 1: So yeah, So Steve begins drinking heavily again, of course,
- 35:41Speaker 1: of course, and he becomes more and more angry towards Amanda,
- 35:44Speaker 1: so he starts spiraling. At this point, he's just, you know,
- 35:48Speaker 1: the world's out to get me guy. He begins trying
- 35:51Speaker 1: to see how he could run her political career. So
- 35:54Speaker 1: he takes naked photos of her, and he begins showing
- 35:57Speaker 1: them around town, all the circles that she would be
- 35:59Speaker 1: pol Tians would be in and things like that. So
- 36:02Speaker 1: just a terrible human. Now on top of this, Amanda
- 36:06Speaker 1: began telling friends and co workers that Steve had started
- 36:09Speaker 1: to follow her or she would just see his car nearby.
- 36:13Speaker 1: He never I don't think he ever approached her, but
- 36:15Speaker 1: he was.
- 36:16Speaker 2: He was lurking, keeping tabs on her.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Yeah, because he's become upset. He before I think he was,
- 36:24Speaker 1: because I think before it was more of like normal
- 36:26Speaker 1: shithead behavior. And then now he's been he's now gone.
- 36:30Speaker 1: He's the scales have tipped and he's become psychopath.
- 36:33Speaker 2: It's got a bottle of Scotch in the car drinking.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Yeah, he got nothing else to do. She's just over
- 36:38Speaker 1: there living in that mansion that his family was in,
- 36:40Speaker 1: his dad who hated him and didn't think he was
- 36:43Speaker 1: good enough and all this stuff.
- 36:45Speaker 2: And should have bonaire x M yep.
- 36:48Speaker 1: So at this point she decides to buy that handgun
- 36:51Speaker 1: for her protection because she's just worried that he's going
- 36:54Speaker 1: to try to kill her. Now, at one point, she
- 36:56Speaker 1: did say that like one of the closest encounters that
- 36:59Speaker 1: she had with him was she left. This is from
- 37:02Speaker 1: a coworker saying that Amanda came back in and told
- 37:04Speaker 1: her this. She had left work to go to lunch.
- 37:07Speaker 1: She goes outside and she comes pretty not face to face,
- 37:10Speaker 1: but she turns the corner and it's just Steve just
- 37:13Speaker 1: staring her down or whatever. So she's scared, so she
- 37:16Speaker 1: runs back into the office and tells her coworker about this.
- 37:20Speaker 1: And this was just a few days before her murder.
- 37:24Speaker 2: On September tenth, Steve went to the legislature's office, where
- 37:28Speaker 2: he had served for fifteen years.
- 37:31Speaker 1: And I use that word right, legislature, Yes, okay, whether
- 37:35Speaker 1: it be House or Senate, the.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Legislature, the legislature, well, his old coworkers colleagues, Yeah, what
- 37:47Speaker 2: you call.
- 37:48Speaker 1: When I was taiying and I was like, it's not coworkers.
- 37:52Speaker 1: I guess they're kind of they're all employed by the taxpayer.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Yes, well, they all shunned him. They didn't want to
- 37:58Speaker 2: be seen with him. They didn't want the stink on them,
- 38:01Speaker 2: ruining their chances of re election later on down the road.
- 38:04Speaker 1: Not to mention, he probably's coming in freaking like hungover
- 38:08Speaker 1: or partially drunk, showing up at the damn.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Legislator dan Ackroyd from Trading Places where he's in the
- 38:16Speaker 2: Santa suit and he's pulling salmon out of a Santa suit.
- 38:19Speaker 1: I don't know that reference, Stewart, We've.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Never watched Trading Places to no.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Yeah, so he's probably looking like disheveled and a mess. Anyway,
- 38:29Speaker 1: So maybe if he'd came in there, you know, buttoned
- 38:32Speaker 1: up and looking clean and everything like that, maybe they
- 38:36Speaker 1: would have talked to him. But they're definitely just get
- 38:37Speaker 1: out of here, guy, you're embarrassing me.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Yeah, that sounds exactly like Trading Places where dan Ackroyd
- 38:42Speaker 2: went back to the farm and all the co workers
- 38:45Speaker 2: shunned him. They're like, no, get out of here because
- 38:47Speaker 2: they framed him from embezzelin or something like that from
- 38:50Speaker 2: the company.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Well that's helped Steve felt.
- 38:52Speaker 2: This sounds exactly like a scenes from Trading Place.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I told you the ID channel. They're always coming
- 38:58Speaker 1: up with these things. You can't make the shit up
- 39:00Speaker 1: what they come up with.
- 39:03Speaker 2: And then same thing with Steve that dan Akroy did
- 39:07Speaker 2: the next day. He just went batshit crazy and Steve,
- 39:11Speaker 2: maybe they got.
- 39:12Speaker 1: The idea for that over how old is that movie?
- 39:15Speaker 2: It's older than okay. He then drove to Well the
- 39:19Speaker 2: next day he ambushed a man. That's when he ambushed her,
- 39:22Speaker 2: was in shot her three times. He then drove to
- 39:25Speaker 2: his parents' graves, where he was found by police. He's
- 39:29Speaker 2: arrested and upon further examination, the Manila envelope that was
- 39:33Speaker 2: found in his car is labeled Psycho Bitch File compiled
- 39:38Speaker 2: on August seventh, two thousand and nine, where he wrote
- 39:42Speaker 2: his dissertation on why Amanda needed to die and what
- 39:46Speaker 2: she had done to him.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Psycho bitch file. That's also what my file.
- 39:52Speaker 2: That was your nickname in high school, wasn't it. He
- 39:55Speaker 2: held her responsible for everything that had gone wrong in
- 39:58Speaker 2: his life, and I the law that he wrote in
- 40:02Speaker 2: nineteen ninety eight would make him eligible for the death penalty.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Now to avoid the death penalty, Steve pled guilty in
- 40:10Speaker 2: June of twenty eleven to intentional murder with aggravated circumstances
- 40:16Speaker 2: so that he could receive life without parole.
- 40:19Speaker 1: Now, the prosecutor on was on there being interviewed, and
- 40:23Speaker 1: he wanted to make sure it was clear that anytime
- 40:27Speaker 1: this happens, if someone wants to plead guilty of as
- 40:30Speaker 1: long as it's life without parole, they will accept it.
- 40:32Speaker 1: So he didn't get any special treatment because of his family,
- 40:37Speaker 1: which makes sense because no one gives a fuck about
- 40:39Speaker 1: his family. The dad's dead, he was a.
- 40:42Speaker 2: All the way child.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Mom's dead.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and he's a disgrace and nobody cares. He can't
- 40:47Speaker 1: do anything for them anymore anyways.
- 40:49Speaker 2: I he hanging, got no children.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Yeah, so a man is friends and family want her
- 40:54Speaker 1: to be known as the intelligent, caring and vivacious person
- 40:58Speaker 1: that she was, and so they wanted to make sure
- 41:00Speaker 1: that they did that she didn't die in vain and
- 41:04Speaker 1: that something good could come out of it. So they
- 41:07Speaker 1: worked really hard to pass a law in Amanda's honor.
- 41:09Speaker 1: And the law is called Amanda's Law in Kentucky and
- 41:13Speaker 1: it allows for those with protective orders to put a
- 41:15Speaker 1: tracking device on their perpetrator. I don't know if it's
- 41:20Speaker 1: on the car or on the person. I would hope
- 41:23Speaker 1: it'd be on the person because they could run a boat. Yeah,
- 41:27Speaker 1: so I guess I don't. I didn't look into the
- 41:29Speaker 1: details about it, but I guess it allows them to
- 41:33Speaker 1: request to that that they have a tracking device, which
- 41:36Speaker 1: I think that's great, especially women that have stalkers and
- 41:38Speaker 1: stuff like that. They just need to know when when
- 41:42Speaker 1: they're showing up. All right, that is our case out
- 41:44Speaker 1: of Kentucky. Stu, do you have a y'all need Jesus?
- 41:48Speaker 2: I always do.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Okay, are you ready?
- 41:50Speaker 2: I am always ready.
- 41:51Speaker 1: Okay, let's go.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Only fans model who filmed herself urinating on grocery store
- 41:57Speaker 2: food ew busted for hotel room peacepree EW, including on
- 42:03Speaker 2: a bibbyl. Maybe you have heard of them on a
- 42:07Speaker 2: bibyl a Bible?
- 42:09Speaker 1: Is it the what's the one.
- 42:11Speaker 2: That's awaking James version?
- 42:13Speaker 1: Well, no, there's also I feel like the Mormon Bible
- 42:15Speaker 1: is always.
- 42:15Speaker 2: In there too, unless they started putting some in there.
- 42:18Speaker 2: I know nothing. I haven't checked my hotel room because.
- 42:21Speaker 1: You got a no, Stuart, we just started we started
- 42:26Speaker 1: back on hotels. We I think we even explain this,
- 42:30Speaker 1: all right, Maybe I explained it in a video on Instagram.
- 42:32Speaker 1: I don't know how we've switched back to hotels because
- 42:35Speaker 1: the Airbnb fees are outrageous.
- 42:37Speaker 2: And now I don't actually claim.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Yeah, they make you pay like a two hundred do
- 42:41Speaker 1: I swear it's like, and we don't stay at big
- 42:43Speaker 1: Airbnb's like we're our goal is to try to just
- 42:45Speaker 1: get at least one bedroom for our price range, just
- 42:48Speaker 1: because the kids we can close the door and then
- 42:51Speaker 1: we can still be out in the front room. So
- 42:52Speaker 1: even though there's we're a family of five, we're cramming
- 42:55Speaker 1: into a one bedroom and hoping and then sometime times
- 43:00Speaker 1: it's saying even one bedroom. Sometimes it's like and then
- 43:04Speaker 1: it's always like one hundred and fifty to two hundred
- 43:06Speaker 1: dollars cleaning fee. And then as you're living there, you're like,
- 43:09Speaker 1: they didn't pay nobody to come clean this. They came
- 43:11Speaker 1: and took some little cloths and wipe down themselves. They
- 43:14Speaker 1: didn't clean under anything. To me, if you pay two
- 43:17Speaker 1: hundred dollars for that size at home, that's a professional
- 43:20Speaker 1: cleaning fee. Yes, that's that's only they need to pay
- 43:25Speaker 1: someone who's.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Because we find out when the kid's toy rolls under
- 43:27Speaker 2: the couch. When I left that man, they were like cheese. Yeah,
- 43:31Speaker 2: did we get cream cheese? No, that's not our under
- 43:36Speaker 2: the couch. Yeah, well dust.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Anyways, we did have been switched back to hotels, although
- 43:42Speaker 1: it sounds like from.
- 43:43Speaker 2: This ironically enough, when we went to Corpus Christy, we
- 43:48Speaker 2: did go to the Lexington.
- 43:50Speaker 1: What does that have to do with anything, because this
- 43:52Speaker 1: was at a.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Lexington, Kentucky.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Oh, that's where this case just was Jesus christ.
- 43:58Speaker 2: I just said that.
- 44:00Speaker 3: Oh I wasn't.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Listening to you. You said, that's where we just covered
- 44:04Speaker 1: this case.
- 44:06Speaker 2: I said, ironically enough, When we went to Corpus Christie,
- 44:09Speaker 2: we went to the Lexington because we stayed at that
- 44:11Speaker 2: hotel in Corpus Christi okay, And we went to the Lexington.
- 44:15Speaker 1: Oh, this case or that case that you're reading that
- 44:19Speaker 1: y'all need Jesus. No, oh, I thought you meant that
- 44:22Speaker 1: y'all need Jesus was out of Lexington. And that's when
- 44:24Speaker 1: I was like, oh, that's crazy. Oh my god. If
- 44:28Speaker 1: I can hear the reviews writing itself right.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Now, if anybody's listening this long, this is their this
- 44:33Speaker 2: is their.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Fault, I can just hear the reviews.
- 44:36Speaker 2: Anybody that's gotten this far and is hearing this, it's
- 44:39Speaker 2: their own fault. Now. They should have punched out the
- 44:42Speaker 2: first five minutes of this podcast.
- 44:47Speaker 1: When I went on that Spotify rant.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Yes, when you went on the Spotify rent, they should.
- 44:51Speaker 3: Have left them all right, go on about this lady.
- 44:54Speaker 2: That's Florida or not Florida, not Florida. Okay, you're correct.
- 44:59Speaker 2: I think we this lady already because she was peeing
- 45:02Speaker 2: on groceries. Either that or I just read the story
- 45:04Speaker 2: and I thought it would be good. Y'all need Jesus?
- 45:06Speaker 1: Well, yeah, because you asked me that. I don't remember,
- 45:08Speaker 1: but maybe someone else does.
- 45:09Speaker 2: Coming to us from the New York Post by Emily Crane,
- 45:12Speaker 2: published April seventeenth, twenty twenty five. So this is fresh pea.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Well, so then we haven't covered this one.
- 45:19Speaker 2: We have what episs her get it?
- 45:24Speaker 1: Okay, how we have covered? If it's from April seventeenth.
- 45:28Speaker 2: A New Hampshire Only fans model who allegedly filmed herself
- 45:31Speaker 2: urinating on grocery store food has been busted over a
- 45:36Speaker 2: peace bree in a hotel room, including on a Bible cups. Yeah,
- 45:40Speaker 2: she was the one that was peeing on the grocery
- 45:42Speaker 2: store food for content or something. Oh maybe, so she's
- 45:45Speaker 2: already been busted for pe and on grocery store food.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Do the rut and this domestic violence thing. If you
- 45:51Speaker 1: get peeing on death penalty.
- 45:53Speaker 2: I think we said that one. I think we did
- 45:56Speaker 2: cover because you said that she needed the death penalty.
- 45:59Speaker 2: Kelly Dford twenty four, was hit with fresh charges this
- 46:02Speaker 2: week for allegedly urinating all over a room at a
- 46:06Speaker 2: Marriott hotel. Write this down in Keene back in January
- 46:12Speaker 2: court documents Shell. Okay, so if we ever go to Keene, New.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Hampshire, because we're Marriot people.
- 46:17Speaker 2: Yeah, we're Marriot people. I don't know this one.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Well, I don't know. We're not Marriot people. Were residents
- 46:23Speaker 1: in Fairfield.
- 46:25Speaker 3: Yeah, occasionally a courtyard.
- 46:28Speaker 2: We're in the family.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Yes, we're not in like Marriods.
- 46:32Speaker 2: No. Tedford, who goes by Kinki Kelly on only Fans,
- 46:39Speaker 2: is accused of recording herself peeing on an air conditioner unit, comforter,
- 46:44Speaker 2: curtains and the Bible inside the room. The document's charge.
- 46:49Speaker 2: She is also allegedly defecated on the floor, be hiding
- 46:53Speaker 2: before hiding her feces in the tank of the toilet,
- 46:56Speaker 2: which is called an upper decker if heard.
- 47:00Speaker 3: I've never heard of this store.
- 47:01Speaker 2: Were you poop in the tank?
- 47:03Speaker 1: Oh, she's not even cute.
- 47:05Speaker 2: So that whenever they flush.
- 47:06Speaker 1: It, stud to show me a picture of her.
- 47:08Speaker 2: The poop comes into the bowl.
- 47:11Speaker 1: I didn't know that. No, what is wrong with you?
- 47:13Speaker 1: Why do you know that?
- 47:14Speaker 2: Because you go to your friend's house and you just know.
- 47:16Speaker 1: You do not go to your friend's house. You do
- 47:18Speaker 1: not do that.
- 47:19Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 47:20Speaker 2: No, you go to a friend's house that's not really
- 47:23Speaker 2: your friend, and you're like, hey, no.
- 47:25Speaker 1: You need to just stop talking or I'm going to
- 47:27Speaker 1: suggest the death penalty for you.
- 47:30Speaker 2: Ah. The alleged purp was hit with five criminal mischief
- 47:33Speaker 2: charges over the sickening ordeal. The filings obtained by The
- 47:36Speaker 2: Smoking Gun show the gross saga allegedly unfolded just weeks
- 47:41Speaker 2: before she was arrested for spraying a slew of products
- 47:46Speaker 2: at the Monaded Knock Food co Op, which is located
- 47:52Speaker 2: in Keene with her urine. Yeah, she was peeing on
- 47:55Speaker 2: the stuff at the grocery store. Then she went to
- 47:58Speaker 2: this hotel room did the same thing film content.
- 48:01Speaker 1: Yeah, but house watching this, Okay, But.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Then she got busted for the grocery store, which was
- 48:05Speaker 2: like fifteen hundred, two thousand dollars worth of shit, and
- 48:08Speaker 2: then they found out about this hotel room.
- 48:11Speaker 1: Okay, Well, she's probably making a shit ton of money.
- 48:13Speaker 1: That's why she's willing to risk this to go do
- 48:16Speaker 1: the upper deck or whatever it is.
- 48:20Speaker 2: Her alleged display costs the grocery store roughly fifteen hundred
- 48:23Speaker 2: dollars for ruin products and cleaning expenses. Yeah, because that's
- 48:28Speaker 2: the one.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Well, you can't go to that pr you can't you
- 48:31Speaker 1: can't undo that, you can't put that toothpaste back of
- 48:34Speaker 1: the tube for the public. That Now that's known as
- 48:36Speaker 1: the grocery store, the co op that has pea all
- 48:38Speaker 1: over it, like there's no.
- 48:40Speaker 2: A local store first forced to issue or recall for
- 48:45Speaker 2: organic quenoa corn.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Meal, I mean technically it was still organic.
- 48:50Speaker 2: Coconut shreads and raw walnuts. Hedford allegedly relieved herself on
- 48:56Speaker 2: the products.
- 48:56Speaker 1: And she's peeing on stuff that soaks up things too. Yes,
- 49:00Speaker 1: it's not like she's peeing on an orange where it's
- 49:02Speaker 1: just going to roll off. She's peeing on things that
- 49:04Speaker 1: like pastas and quenewaws and coconut shreds that are going
- 49:08Speaker 1: to soak up the the urine. Yes, death penalty.
- 49:15Speaker 2: Cop said. The grocery store footage was among a trove
- 49:18Speaker 2: of online videos they uncover that documented a similar disgusting
- 49:22Speaker 2: acts dating back to at least twenty twenty one. At
- 49:27Speaker 2: this time, it appears likely that similar historic incidents Occurrerding
- 49:30Speaker 2: Keen and surrounding communities. Were Tetford contaminated items and or
- 49:36Speaker 2: surfaces with her urine. She was slapped with a criminal
- 49:40Speaker 2: mischief charge over the grocery store ordeal and is due
- 49:44Speaker 2: to be arraignged on all other charges on May eighth.
- 49:47Speaker 1: They need to throw her in prison for a long time,
- 49:50Speaker 1: for life, all right, Well thanks for with no bathroom.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Yes she just a pee on her own, sleep in it, yes, sleeping?
- 50:01Speaker 1: Oh try her, no, put her in prison. Have her
- 50:03Speaker 1: pull that shit in prison and see how long she
- 50:06Speaker 1: lasts peeing on people's stuff.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Yeah not jel prison.
- 50:09Speaker 1: Yeah all right, well that is our case in our
- 50:13Speaker 1: y'all need Jesus for the week. We are going on
- 50:16Speaker 1: a cruise.
- 50:18Speaker 2: What why do you keep telling people we're living our house.
- 50:21Speaker 1: We're not leaving our house. What do you, Stuart, Nobody
- 50:27Speaker 1: listens to this.
- 50:27Speaker 2: Okay, there's tens of listeners out there listening to this
- 50:30Speaker 2: right now.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Well, if they're listening right now when they heard this part,
- 50:34Speaker 1: then they're not in it to rob us. Okay, nobody's
- 50:37Speaker 1: staying there on this long at the intent to rob us. Nobody.
- 50:42Speaker 1: In fact, nobody's probably listening at this point is probably
- 50:45Speaker 1: just even the tens of listeners we had, they already stopped. Yeah, anyways,
- 50:52Speaker 1: so we will see if we have an episode next week.
- 50:55Speaker 1: We're going to try to record one to have put out,
- 50:56Speaker 1: but that may not happen because you know, Careen where
- 51:01Speaker 1: us No Stewart sucks and needs to start writing cases.
- 51:05Speaker 2: No, I did write Casey, you didn't.
- 51:06Speaker 1: Like what the okay, Well maybe you try again. Maybe
- 51:09Speaker 1: you try again, and we'll see how you do.
- 51:11Speaker 2: Okay, and then what happens after I spend all the
- 51:14Speaker 2: time and you're like, nope, main.
- 51:15Speaker 1: We'll record and put it on the Patreon.
- 51:18Speaker 2: So you don't want people to come to the Patreon.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Anyways? All right, I guess we will. Yeah. Check out
- 51:25Speaker 1: rate review, subscribe, Instagram, Facebook, check the show notes, join
- 51:30Speaker 1: the Patreon for ad free in early access, and possibly
- 51:35Speaker 1: Stew's unwritten case. The rest is still unwritten.
- 51:40Speaker 2: I don't know what that is, but don't ever do
- 51:42Speaker 2: that again.
- 51:45Speaker 1: That's Natasha betting Field.
- 51:46Speaker 3: That's the that's the theme song to the Hills.
