- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And in this episode of The
- 0:43Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a hypnosis session
- 0:47about paranoia. And I think sometimes words
- 0:51become labels and these labels. Get thrown around.
- 0:55Where they're inherently put into a category of being
- 1:00negative or bad in some way. And I would say that paranoia is
- 1:06one of those labels that if you think about what paranoia really
- 1:11is, is about having a suspicion, having some kind of belief that
- 1:17there is a possible agenda against you.
- 1:21And of course, paranoia is linked to, let's say, extreme
- 1:27paranoia. And that could be people with
- 1:30delusions and, you know, really almost conspiracy theorist and
- 1:36and really. Harsh.
- 1:38Perceptions of what other people want to do to them.
- 1:42But at its core, paranoia is to keep you safe.
- 1:46It's just a combination of anxiety and suspicion.
- 1:51But here's the thing, you know, although it's lovely to believe
- 1:56that we live in a world where people are good and people have
- 1:59your best interests at heart, that isn't always the case.
- 2:03And I have this belief that most people are good.
- 2:06Most people want to help other people and and do good things
- 2:11for people, but there are always a few people that have an agenda
- 2:17and that agenda might be to exploit or take advantage.
- 2:22So having a. Healthy level of.
- 2:25Paranoia. I actually think it's a very
- 2:27good thing. And the question then is how do
- 2:31you get the balance? Right.
- 2:33And for? Me I My default is to trust
- 2:37people but, and it's a very big part but to.
- 2:43Withdraw that trust. The moment someone proves they
- 2:47are not worthy. Of that trust.
- 2:51Now, I would say this is in a business or a work environment
- 2:55or a social environment. The default is to trust.
- 2:57It's different if you're dealing with an entity, you know, if
- 3:02you're in a tourist place known for people, you know, with
- 3:06scammers and con artists, then I would say the default there
- 3:11would be to be vigilant rather than trust, trusting people.
- 3:16So it's contextual, but generally I think it's a good
- 3:18thing to trust people but not do that blindly.
- 3:24You know, if you see evidence that someone is deceitful or
- 3:31they absolutely have done something, that would be good
- 3:34for them and bad for you. Then at that point.
- 3:37It is a healthy thing to do to be paranoid of that person, to
- 3:42no longer trust that person, to be suspicious of that person.
- 3:47And I was working with a client who generally was in a situation
- 3:53where they. Needed to trust.
- 3:55People at that point in time, for financial reasons and
- 3:59practical reasons, they needed to trust people and that can
- 4:03feel scary, that can feel vulnerable, particularly if in
- 4:06the past when you did trust someone that was taken advantage
- 4:10of is very difficult to do so. Therefore, this is a 2 pronged
- 4:14attack in this particular hypnosis session.
- 4:17To have that ability to trust people, particularly those that
- 4:21have demonstrated good intentions, to have that
- 4:26trusting default, but being very quickly to change that if
- 4:30needed. But also to create the
- 4:34foundation of a life where you don't need to be dependent on
- 4:38other people. And when I was in my early 20s,
- 4:43that was my last job. My last job was when I was 23
- 4:46years old. I set up my own business.
- 4:48And the reason I'm very passionate about wealth creation
- 4:51is because. I think.
- 4:54I'm deeply untrusting of not people, but of entities,
- 5:00organizations and things like that.
- 5:03So I don't believe, for example, that the government has my best
- 5:09interests at heart. I think it's politicians that
- 5:11have their own agendas. So therefore, if I really
- 5:15believe that it makes sense for me to structure my life in such
- 5:18a way where I'm not dependent on the government or not dependent
- 5:22on organizations, that I am more independent and self-sufficient.
- 5:28So you can call that paranoia or you can call that a feedback.
- 5:32Loop so that. You can structure your life in
- 5:34the way that you want. So this hypnosis session is
- 5:38entitled or titled I should say a positive Paranoia, and it's
- 5:44designed to extract the utility out of paranoia without thinking
- 5:51that everything is suspicious and everyone has an agenda.
- 5:55That is. Just as untrue as the opposite
- 5:58belief that nobody has an agenda and everyone can be trusted.
- 6:02The. The ideal balance is in the
- 6:04nuance, it's in the in the Shades of Grey.
- 6:07And I think a natural belief that's helpful is that most
- 6:11people are worthy of trusting, but some people aren't.
- 6:15And therefore to be discerning is to figure out the difference.
- 6:19And therefore that positive paranoia can almost become an
- 6:22intuitive superpower for for you to have the warning signs when
- 6:26they're most helpful. Appreciate this might.
- 6:29Sound a bit. Bit of a ramble but I'm one of
- 6:32these hypnotherapists that don't like to put things like people
- 6:36will put anger and anxiety and say they're negative emotions.
- 6:39You know? All emotions are useful in the
- 6:41right context. The art is to find the right
- 6:45emotional. Resources for.
- 6:47The right context to have them working for you rather than
- 6:50against you. This was created for an
- 6:52individual person. If you feel that maybe you feel
- 6:56a bit too anxious or a bit too paranoid, and you feel like you
- 6:58want to find the sweet spot for you, the middle ground that's
- 7:02actually useful for your life, there will be a link in the show
- 7:05notes where you can schedule a free consultation call to
- 7:08explore working with me. For now, though, find a quiet,
- 7:11comfortable place where you won't be.
- 7:12Disturbed. Relax and enjoy.
- 7:14The session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 8:28you breathe in, breathe in a feeling of calm relaxation.
- 8:36And as you exhale, just get a sense that you're able to let
- 8:46go, to let go of a thought, a feeling, an idea that may not be
- 8:55in your best interests. Give permission to let go of
- 9:01anything that is impeding the quality of your life.
- 9:10So breathing, relaxation and exhale tension as you feel a
- 9:16sense of release. Allow your body to sink deeper
- 9:27and deeper. Relaxed.
- 9:31Just get a feeling of drifting, drifting to a place where you
- 9:38feel safe and protected. As you breathe in and breathe
- 9:48out. Allow yourself to let go and
- 9:53relax and imagine drifting back all the way back in time in your
- 10:02current body, but going back to a time.
- 10:06A time to someone that you trusted would keep you safe,
- 10:13that you trusted, had your best interests at heart.
- 10:25And I want you to think of that person that even if that person
- 10:30isn't around anymore, imagine them when they were at their
- 10:37very best. See their face, their smile.
- 10:44More importantly, scan your body for how you feel to remind
- 10:49yourself how to feel safe, how to feel intuitive feelings of
- 11:01trust that were warranted because that person was worthy
- 11:07of that trust. I want you to remember their
- 11:18voice, and if you can recall their voice and their tonality,
- 11:27just let me know by nodding your head.
- 11:37And I want you to allow that voice to now become a part of
- 11:44your inner dialogue, to enable this warm, loving, protective
- 11:55voice to be a guardian of you. This voice will now become part
- 12:07of your intuition to keep you safe.
- 12:13Not a voice of fear, but a voice of love and protection, meeting
- 12:22the intention of protection, but delivered in a way where you
- 12:28feel safe rather than vulnerable.
- 12:37I want you to imagine a place nearby to this person, maybe a
- 12:43sofa, a bed, something comfortable and relaxing.
- 12:50But keep that voice nearby. And as you imagine sitting on
- 12:56that comfortable, relaxing thing, notice how because you
- 13:03feel safe, you breathe even deeper.
- 13:07You feel even calmer. I just imagine drifting deeply
- 13:15down deeper down to your subconscious mind place where
- 13:23change happens, sometimes effortlessly.
- 13:29So you're right, let's get a heavier and heavier.
- 13:33Any tension in your forehead, your jaw, your neck or your
- 13:36shoulders starts to relax. And very soon I will count down
- 13:43from 12:50 and you will imagine gravitating deeper down. 10 just
- 13:56sinking into a balance of peace and focus. 9 Feeling safe,
- 14:07protected and yet in control. 8 Becoming more in tune with your
- 14:15instincts. You've quietened down one voice
- 14:22and replaced it with something that feels protective yet
- 14:26loving. 7 Sharpening your ability to notice what truly
- 14:34matters. Six, more relaxed now as you
- 14:40release tension but keeping your mind awake and aware.
- 14:50Five, feeling comfortable and at ease, but also deeply discerning
- 15:02as you realise that discerning is noticing the difference that
- 15:11not everyone notices. 4 Feel like you can see things clearly,
- 15:23effortlessly, The ability to see things as they actually are.
- 15:31Not better than, but not worse than.
- 15:36Just as it is like information, three, feel a deep trust in
- 15:44yourself forming, and two, start to awaken an unshakable sense of
- 15:54inner wisdom. And one start to feel like
- 16:00you're completely in tune with your intuition, your
- 16:06intelligence, and your ability to navigate the world.
- 16:16Recall that protective yet loving voice and start to
- 16:21imagine that voice as a guardian inside you, part of your mind
- 16:29that has always been looking out for you, keeping you safe and
- 16:35scanning for risks. This part of you has good
- 16:50intentions, but at times when it was a different voice may have
- 16:59been overactive, hyper vigilant, seeing threats where none
- 17:05existed, feeling unsure of who to trust.
- 17:13But now it's time to fine tune this guardian, to transform it
- 17:20into something far more powerful and useful.
- 17:28Because the strongest, most capable people in the world,
- 17:31they're not blind to risk. They don't trust blindly, nor do
- 17:38they live in fear. I want you to get a sense that
- 17:45what if the ideal balance was positive paranoia, A sharp of a
- 17:56sense of discernment that allows them to trust when trust is
- 18:01earned and to change course the moment something feels wrong.
- 18:10So now feel like you are activating that incredible power
- 18:16we can call pragmatic Awareness. So imagine this guardian within
- 18:23you transforming, evolving, upgrading into a calm strategic
- 18:31advisor with that voice that you know you can trust.
- 18:37Try it now. Those same fears and worries
- 18:41you've been having. Hear it in that voice.
- 18:47A loving, calm, protective voice that only has your best
- 18:54interests at heart. Kind of voice that allows you to
- 19:01trust as a default, but also withdraw that trust instantly if
- 19:10it's no longer deserved. Because there's a.
- 19:16Part of you that feels anxious sometimes, even if you can't
- 19:25find a good enough reason. But I want you to instead to
- 19:32feel that this loving part is becoming more discerning.
- 19:41Not scared of maybes and unlikely events, but able to
- 19:49decipher the noise, to give you clear, intelligent signals about
- 19:56what actions that need to be taken.
- 20:03So feel that shift happening now.
- 20:08Feel that? Panic, paranoid part evolving
- 20:14into that kind, loving, protective part.
- 20:21But imagine that part knowing the difference between agendas
- 20:32and malicious intentions and just ignorance or lack of
- 20:38planning. That part knows the difference,
- 20:46and maybe that part communicates through inner dialogue guiding
- 20:50you. Or maybe it's a gut feel that
- 20:54you can feel in your body. Wouldn't it be good to trust
- 20:59your gut and know that it's right, rather than just being
- 21:05afraid of shadows? Because you don't need to live
- 21:11in fear, because now you're becoming more aware and more in
- 21:18control. Your first reaction won't be
- 21:27that someone is trying to deceive you or manipulate you,
- 21:33It will be that there is a simple explanation.
- 21:40But if you get a sense either through evidence or consistency,
- 21:52feel free to upgrade and update that thought of that person to
- 21:59put them in that category of someone not.
- 22:03Worthy of your. Trust.
- 22:10Feel that your mind is no longer burdened by unnecessary worries.
- 22:17Instead, feel it becoming clear, sharp, and prepared.
- 22:24Feel this new inner strength awakening and locking into
- 22:29place. Now I want you to imagine
- 22:37yourself perhaps just a few weeks from now, a version of you
- 22:43that is embracing this middle ground.
- 22:51Not paranoid of everything, but not recklessly naive, just the
- 22:58right amount of paranoia so it's positive and useful for you.
- 23:07See that version of you that is moving and talking and acting
- 23:13with a calm confidence. Go further into the future and
- 23:20see a version of you that is designed and created.
- 23:24A life where you are less vulnerable, a life where you are
- 23:29less dependent on others. See a version of you, perhaps a
- 23:35year or two from now that is built real security, financial,
- 23:42emotional, mental security. They are still you, but in your
- 23:49future. What do they look like?
- 23:54How do they carry themselves? What do they do to reduce risks,
- 24:03to know who to trust and who not to?
- 24:05And what kinds of people do they surround themselves with?
- 24:10And what you're confident that this future version of you is
- 24:17just the right balance of paranoia to keep them?
- 24:20Safe. Let me know by nodding your head
- 24:27and then step into this version of you.
- 24:31Now feel what it's like to walk through life with trust but also
- 24:39wisdom. To feel trusting but also
- 24:46discerning. To know that you are safe not
- 24:52because you are paranoid, but because you've designed your
- 24:56life in a way that reduces and minimises risks.
- 25:05I want you to make an evaluation that the point of paranoia is
- 25:09not fear and hesitation and avoidance.
- 25:15It's to unlock actions, decisions, courage.
- 25:25I want you to feel that you are now able to make the right moves
- 25:30today to steer your future so it becomes stronger, more
- 25:36independent and more protected. That you are becoming your own
- 25:43guardian. That as trust in you increases,
- 25:49your dependency on others naturally reduces.
- 25:57Consider your default a sense of calm trust.
- 26:06But at the same time, the moment someone reveals themselves as
- 26:10unworthy of that trust, you change.
- 26:15Without hesitation, without emotion, just pure, effortless
- 26:21certainty. You can trust, and you can
- 26:28decide when not to. You make that decision and you
- 26:34can always reverse it. If someone then becomes worthy
- 26:37of your trust again. If they fool you once, fall on
- 26:45them. If they fool you twice, it means
- 26:50they are no longer worthy of your trust.
- 26:55You protect yourself with discernment and boundaries.
- 26:59But also courageous actions to become less and less dependent
- 27:13as you breathe in that trust, feel that you are protected by
- 27:19that voice, that loving, wise, caring voice to help you on this
- 27:32journey. You're no longer alone.
- 27:37You have a part of you inspired by someone of your past with you
- 27:46on this journey. But it's time to return to the
- 27:51present, taking these feelings with you, to take a deep breath
- 27:58in through your nose and out through your nose.
- 28:04As you wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes, you begin to
- 28:06return to the present moment, but bringing back all the
- 28:11clarity, wisdom, confidence and self trust that you've just
- 28:17activated. And more importantly, you will
- 28:22take back a voice of positive paranoia that is loving and
- 28:29caring and protective but never becoming overprotective.
- 28:37Starting to count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 28:41Starting to count 123. Waking up 456.
- 28:46More alert. 7-8. Open your eyes.
- 28:50Open your eyes, 910. Wide awake, wide awake, wide
- 28:56awake. Thank you for listening to The
