- 0:10be a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every day to record a podcast to teach
- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the coop and let's
- 0:23start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:28Hey everybody, good morning. We are talking about not
- 0:31believing everything you hear, whether it's from yourself or
- 0:35others. One must question things and
- 0:39this is not a new thing. This is a been a long time
- 0:42thing. This has been forever.
- 0:45I was taught that by my dad when I was little to always question
- 0:48like, you know, ask, make sure, get clarity, double check.
- 0:52And that became very much a part of my personality.
- 0:56I think I was always a mad questioner to begin with.
- 0:59I think that the inquisitive part of me just was always taken
- 1:02over. But there's a lot of hype right
- 1:05now going on and, and it's not just in politics.
- 1:09I need to be very clear. There's a huge political wave
- 1:13going on and everybody is upset one side or the other.
- 1:17It's got energy like nothing has in a long time.
- 1:21And first and foremost, this isn't about politics.
- 1:25I'm using that as my first example because it's so present
- 1:27right now. But one must ask questions and
- 1:31not believe everything they hear.
- 1:33Either side doesn't matter. This is completely neutral
- 1:37conversation, just like in your head when your brain says you
- 1:40suck, you don't believe that in that moment.
- 1:44That is the wrong emotion driving and that emotion may be
- 1:48the one that was from a long time ago.
- 1:49That's a pattern. Do you have to believe it?
- 1:51No, you do. You do not.
- 1:53Do you have to investigate it? Yes.
- 1:55You have to get clarity. And this is the same going
- 1:57forward with everything. I was reading a book yesterday
- 2:03in between clients. I had a few minutes and I
- 2:04stopped and I picked up a book and I started reading it.
- 2:07And I'm not going to mention the author, the name of the book or
- 2:10anything. But what I'm going to say is the
- 2:12content was so off putting because the way it was languaged
- 2:18was there was only one way to do this and it was the author's way
- 2:22of doing it. And it got under my skin and I
- 2:25couldn't figure out like, what was the reason it got under my
- 2:28skin. And then I realized, ah, it's
- 2:31because of the blindness. The the, the absolute one way
- 2:36thinking, one St., one lane, nothing else.
- 2:41That is just absolute crap my friends.
- 2:44Because there are multiple ways to get to your destinations,
- 2:49whatever those destinations may be.
- 2:52Emotionally, spiritually, physically going and getting
- 2:55jobs. There are just so many different
- 2:57ways to make things happen. And how arrogant of someone to
- 3:01believe that they think their way is the only way.
- 3:04Now we get in our patterns and we think our way is the right
- 3:08way. And for us, guess what?
- 3:10Our way is the right way. Like my way of doing dishes is
- 3:13the right way. I will be the first one to admit
- 3:16that. And I'm sure my husband would be
- 3:18like, it's not the only way and he's right.
- 3:20It's not the only way. It's the right way for me.
- 3:23It's not the only way. And that's where the distinction
- 3:27comes in. So when you're starting to take
- 3:30in information you, you absolutely have to question
- 3:34things. In my opinion, nothing is more
- 3:37powerful than being inquisitive and asking the questions and and
- 3:41recognizing, hey, this is the way.
- 3:43I believe it's correct. This is not the way for
- 3:46everybody. Just like I teach everybody
- 3:48about who's driving your bus and the emotions in your head.
- 3:51This is what worked for me. I always say that first.
- 3:54This is what worked for me. It may work for you.
- 3:56Give it a try. For me, it's simple, not easy,
- 3:59but simple and I can keep track of it.
- 4:02Is it right for everybody? No, it's not.
- 4:05Is it too simple for people sometimes and they go, oh, I
- 4:09don't this is too simple. OK, if it's it's too simple for
- 4:12you, I understand that and you can go find something more
- 4:15complicated. I needed something simple, but
- 4:18for the majority of people that I introduce it to, they actually
- 4:21say, wow, this is OK. I like this.
- 4:23This works for them too, but I don't push it to people and I
- 4:27don't push my my beliefs on people.
- 4:30I don't push things there. Ioffer opportunities for
- 4:34suggestions. And this author, when I was
- 4:37reading it, was not doing that. What he was doing was basically
- 4:40saying if it wasn't his way, it was the highway.
- 4:43It was like, forget it. You're not going to get to where
- 4:46you want to go unless you do it this way.
- 4:48And that irritated me, which is hence the reason we're having
- 4:52this conversation this morning, because I want to remind
- 4:54everybody, just because it's your way doesn't mean it's the
- 4:58right way for everybody. And not everybody is going to
- 5:00have the same beliefs. And that's the beautiful part
- 5:02about being humans. Just like flowers, I can plant.
- 5:07I can go out and plant the same type of Zinnia over and over.
- 5:12The queen limes, I could plant queen lime seeds all down a row.
- 5:18And while they all look like Zinnia and they all look the
- 5:21same color, maybe they're all slightly different when you get
- 5:24close. They're all different, just
- 5:26slightly different shades of it. They're all original, just like
- 5:29humans. You can look at us and say
- 5:31you're all human, but you're all different.
- 5:33And that's what goes on in our heads and that's what goes on in
- 5:36how we learn and how we hear and how we taste and how we see.
- 5:40It's always different. So there is no absolute, my
- 5:43friends. And the way you figure things
- 5:45out is by asking questions. And that's the way you come to
- 5:49your own conclusions. And you don't put them on other
- 5:52people because they can't comprehend it that way.
- 5:55It's just the way it works. They may agree with you, but
- 5:57their comprehension will still be slightly different, and it's
- 6:00always good to remember that to keep the peace in your soul and
- 6:04in your heart and in your head throughout the day.
- 6:08OK my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I will see you
- 6:11all tomorrow. Bye.
