  [SPEAKER_00]: stakes are not quite as high for the Titans as we know, but the Jaguars, if they win this game, they are the AFC South 2025 Champions.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, it's a huge game for the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jagged wearing the prowlers against their archnemesis for a chance to win their division and host at least one home playoff game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If they get matched up with a certain type of team that has certain skill sets, what are the areas that the Jaguar could struggle in big time matchups in the playoffs?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that when you watch them over the last six, seven weeks, couple months, you can really look at a specific area of the team and say, that is deficient.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they've won seven games in a row for a reason.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They have won 12 games this year for a reason.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they've really been in every game outside of one, and that was the game against

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's fair to sit here and say the Jaguar's have major weaknesses right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, every single area of the football team has done pretty well during this stretch and during most of the 25 season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But if I'm looking at this group and I have to knit pick, which that's what we're doing here and trying to

  [SPEAKER_00]: assess where things could potentially go wrong in the playoffs.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I try to find the areas that I think are most likely to potentially be problematic in the playoffs.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And look, just because I highlight in it's two areas of this roster.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That I feel like it could be problematic or of this team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Just because I'm highlighting those areas doesn't mean there's other things that can't go wrong.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We have seen, you know,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence, have too many exceptions.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've seen the receivers drop the football too much.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've seen the running game, falter at times a little bit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've seen the coverage give up some big plays down the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've seen the kick coverage just last week didn't have their best day.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've seen Cam Little have really rough stretches.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've seen Logan Cook have rough stretches.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like there's a lot of different things that could go wrong in a specific ball game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But to me, there's two things that are most likely, and the first thing, it's past protection, which I think it has stabilized.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Past protection has pretty much stabilized for the jackwars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that they've done a good job overall on the year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But when I look at the AFC playoff picture, and I think about how could things go south for the jacks, it's like, if they can't give Trevor Lawrence any time to get rid

  [SPEAKER_00]: They are not super coordinated with their assignments against blitzes and stunts up front.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If somebody is just having a rough day in the one-on-one's department, and we've seen all those things happen with this offensive line before I think the biggest question marks there really are Walker Little if he's in the starting lineup, he wasn't horrible at guard,

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think you would much rather have McCary out there the way he was playing over the last few months, but he's been dealing with injury, I say few months, last month or so, that he's been healthy, last four or five games that he's been healthy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's been better.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Colvin and Lannon seems to have really stabilized the left tackle position and he and as we're Cleveland playing next to each other, I think is a good duo over on the left side and then Robert Hainesy in the middle, I think he's done a really good job for the most

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's been a stabilizing force.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Anton Harrison has been solid all year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not sitting here and saying that the Jaguar's offensive line in past protection is as atrocious, is problematic as a weakness.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it is.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then you also add in the fact that you have Lee Quint Allen, a really good past pro back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Travis ETN, who's done a really good job in past pro this year as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have some depth at these spots too that you've leaned on this year that can help you out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have tight ends that can help you out as well in past pro.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So this is not a weakness, but when I look at how

  [SPEAKER_00]: They could potentially match up with some of these AFC contenders and then if they're able to run through the AFC and get all the way to Super Bowl.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they're going to be facing whoever makes it to the Super Bowl is going to have a pretty dominant defensive front from the NFC.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But just the teams in the AFC, I mean, the Broncos have a great defensive front.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've seen that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jowars were able to handle it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Colvin Lannon was able to handle Nick Benito, but they'll be out for blood if those two teams see each other again, for sure.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You'll look at some of the rest of the AFC playoff field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, I just think that there's these really good defensive fronts that could give you a lot of problems.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Kind of littered throughout the Houston Texans, obviously.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Right now the jack wars would be hosting the chargers or the bills and all likelihood that's who it's going to be it looks like it'll probably be the bills, but Not entirely sure how it will shake out this upcoming weekend.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think the bills are one of the scarier overall defensive fronts.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they can do some things, but I think if you match up with the bills, you probably can run the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They have not been a very good run defense this year to put it mildly.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Texans, though, I mean, you talk about the Texans, the Broncos, if you somehow get matched up with the Steelers at some point, which seems unlikely, but yeah, there's some dangerous units for sure, and you get to that, if you make it all the way to February, talking about like the Seahawks who manhandled you up front in that game,

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think the Patriots are particularly scary on their defensive front.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They have some good players, I don't think they're in a deep defensive front.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So in the AFC to me, it would really be Broncos, Texans, Steelers potentially that would probably give you the most trouble on the defensive front against your offensive line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: kind of peeks, the questions for me, the past pro against some of these elite units, specifically the Texans.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we haven't seen Colvin Lane in as the starting left tackle against the Texans.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Walker little was out there last time, and that was a horror show against Daniel Hunter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they're in a spot now where it's just really not as much of an issue, or even question mark.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Just because I'm highlighting the offensive line in any specific matchup in the playoff there could be a different area of the team that could falter for whatever reason whether it's your out talented in a specific matchup somebody just has a bad day or a couple people have a bad day.

  [SPEAKER_00]: for whatever reason, we've seen, usually the Jaguars are doing a great job in the coaching department from an exasinos and scheme standpoint, but we've seen a couple games where opponents came out with different looks that really challenged them and were difficult to overcome as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So there's different things that can happen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not just saying that the offensive line is gonna be the reason the Jaguars end up losing a game in the playoffs.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not, but to me, that is one of the areas

  [SPEAKER_00]: can they go compete with the Texans defensive front for 60 minutes?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've seen them do it, but we've also seen them completely fall apart for about 15 minutes against the Texans defensive front.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then the second area that I'm looking at is pass coverage and really just your past defense as a whole.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've seen, I think, a lot of guys step up, you have Josh Hines Allen

  [SPEAKER_00]: Russia, a trade-mom Walker has been moving around a lot doing a good job.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Eric Armstrong says, done a pretty good job this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You've got Danny Strigah, who hopefully, you know, you can see him on the field in the playoffs and then BJ Green has stepped up and some other guys have become reliable role players as well, but you just kind of.

  [SPEAKER_00]: look at the the pieces of the secondary in coverage and individually most of them have done a really good job this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like Buster Brown has been fantastic Antonio Johnson, Jarian Jones, which you wish you saw Jordan Lewis, but Jarian Jones has been great at nickel.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Greg Newsome has done a decent job for the Jack Wars this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then you look at the other safety spot Eric Murray and Drew Wingard.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're getting good production and good play on the back end.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's well coordinated and guys are playing kind of their best football that we've seen them play for the most part.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I still think the Jaguars could have a problem covering number once.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Portland Sutton, when they played the Broncos, he had an opportunity to do a lot more damage than he actually did.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Didn't come down with a couple passes you would expect him to come down with.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so, is he a true number one alpha type receiver?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's borderline, but he's got that kind of skill set that can give the Jaguars some trouble.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, even in that game, when I say he didn't have the biggest game, he had six or 86 in a touchdown.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If the Jaguars face a number one receiver, and they give up that type of statline, I don't think that that's probably going to

  [SPEAKER_00]: be a determining factor in them losing the game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I think that they can handle that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The problem is when you face a Nico Collins and he goes off for 150 or a performance like that and in the AFC playoff picture, where are those receivers that you're probably gonna play?

  [SPEAKER_00]: You've handled the Chargers receivers, although they have the ability.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that there's a bills receiver

  [SPEAKER_00]: In a, in a, I mean, Josh Allen can light you up obviously, but like individually as a, a receiver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that there's one receiver that's absolutely going to light up the Jag wars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We know Nico Collins can.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Jayden Higgins can too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think DK Metcalf and I don't think the Jag was going to end up having to play the Steelers, but I don't think DK Metcalf would be that if the Ravens end up making the playoffs instead of the Steelers,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Zaflauer is really talented, but that's not that mold of receiver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Patriots have digs.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know what's going to be happening with his legal situation.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he's not the big alpha X receiver, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: So you're really looking at Nico Collins in Portland, Sutton.

  [SPEAKER_00]: in the AFC.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, you get to the NFC, talk about potential like Super Bowl matchups.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Jackson Smith and Jigwick can light you up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Bears have received, I mean, D.J.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Moore could, A.J.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Brown, obviously, with the Eagles, Technic Millen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Monta Adams, I mean, there's some really talented receivers on the NFC side, so those are the areas that I think are most likely that could end up really hindering the Jaguar throughout a ball game, just an inability to stop like a dominant receiver paired up with a really talented quarterback.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and then pass pro against really good defensive fronts.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But as I mentioned, any part of we've seen literally, most of the year we've seen the jag wars do well in just about every area of the operation.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's why you're sitting there at 12 and 4.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's why you've won seven straight games.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's why in most of these games you've blown out your opponent and won by multiple scores.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But that doesn't eliminate the chance that one of these areas

  [SPEAKER_00]: could have a bad game and end up being the reason you go home.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I have a lot of optimism for this Jaguar as team moving forward, especially in the week 18 against the Titans.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that they should be well prepared for this matchup and ready to go for, again, what is the AFC South title game for the Jaguars and then heading into the playoffs, we'll start looking at those matchups and all that good stuff, obviously on Monday.
