- 0:00So in today's, you know, fast -paced corporate
- 0:03environment, effective employee development is
- 0:05really a key differentiator. And a remarkable
- 0:08case study, I mean, it comes from the Dubai Electricity
- 0:11and Water Authority. In 2025, its women's committee
- 0:15launched over 50, 50 distinct activities, engaging
- 0:19more than 1 ,400 female employees. And those
- 0:22numbers are impressive on their own. Yeah. But
- 0:24the critical metric is really the impact. I mean,
- 0:27an extraordinary 96 % of the female employees
- 0:31involved expressed satisfaction with the committee's
- 0:34performance. A figure that high is just, it's
- 0:37not accidental. Right. It signals a program that
- 0:40is truly connecting with its people. It really
- 0:43speaks to a deep strategic alignment, which the
- 0:47committee's leadership has articulated so clearly.
- 0:50The chairperson framed their mission this way.
- 0:53In line with the vision of the WISE leadership
- 0:55and directives of DEWA's top management, the
- 0:58DEWA Women's Committee continues its efforts
- 1:01to empower female employees, continuing, quote,
- 1:04by implementing initiatives and programs designed
- 1:07to deliver sustainable impact. These initiatives,
- 1:10they aim to strengthen capabilities, encourage
- 1:13the unleashing of creative potential, and support
- 1:16a healthier work -life balance. Right, the balance.
- 1:20Continuing, quote, while enhancing women's constructive
- 1:23participation in DEWA's journey of comprehensive
- 1:26and sustainable development. And, get this, the
- 1:29committee also supports DEWA's broader efforts
- 1:31to highlight women's contributions to the national
- 1:33economy and excellence in government work. Wow.
- 1:37Continuing, quote, by providing them with the
- 1:39tools and enablers needed to advance national
- 1:42objectives and, and contribute to the development
- 1:45of future generations. Whew, that's a mouthful.
- 1:49That is a comprehensive vision. It completely
- 1:52elevates employee empowerment from, you know,
- 1:54a simple HR function to a strategic pillar of
- 1:58national development. The committee's vice chairperson
- 2:01even detailed how they put that vision into practice.
- 2:04She said, we launch initiatives and programs
- 2:07that help refine the skills and knowledge of
- 2:09female employees. The practical side, continuing
- 2:12quote, and provide opportunities that support
- 2:15their aspirations for continuous learning and
- 2:17growth across all fields. So you have this powerful
- 2:21combination, right? A high -level purpose tied
- 2:24directly to practical skill -building opportunities.
- 2:28It's a holistic approach that just, it clearly
- 2:30works. Yeah, absolutely. Fostering individual
- 2:34growth while at the same time advancing a collective
- 2:37mission. I mean, it's a truly compelling blueprint
- 2:40for empowerment. So now here's a question we'd
- 2:43like to leave everyone with. Beyond the metrics,
- 2:46what does a truly successful empowerment initiative
- 2:49feel like from the inside? And how can more organizations
- 2:53actually create that environment?
