- 0:00How could you possibly say you don't trust the Bible?
- 0:02And then if you have it, you don't even read it?
- 0:05The greatest story ever told beyond that is life.
- 0:09It's eternity.
- 0:10The maker, the guy, the creator of the universe, spoke the universe into it.
- 0:14He spoke into creation.
- 0:17Billions of light years away, it's him.
- 0:20He always was, always will be, and he made you.
- 0:23And he made me to spend eternity with him.
- 0:26Wow.

- 0:44Here's the question.

- 0:47Stay tuned.
- 0:49Hi, everybody.
- 0:49Welcome back to Ignite.
- 0:51I want to talk about the Bible for a couple minutes.
- 0:54Can I do that?
- 0:56It's everything to me.
- 1:00It's everything to us.
- 1:01It's God's inspired word.
- 1:04And he speaks to you and to me on a personal basis.
- 1:09It's God's inspired word.
- 1:11You can read the Bible and have the facts of the Bible, but then he speaks to us out of the Bible.
- 1:16It's called Ramah.
- 1:16It's when the Word speaks to you at that moment and you know that's meant for you.
- 1:20It's amazing.
- 1:25God became flesh and dwelt among us, but the beginning is the Word, and the Word was God.
- 1:30The Word is God.
- 1:32It's God in the Word.
- 1:37I just...
- 1:44I'm shocked in America today, we are, at least we have been, the most Christian nation in the world.
- 1:52And Bibles are everywhere.
- 1:53I think they're in like 80 some odd percent of the households today.
- 1:59And yet the studies say that those who actually read the Bible are down in like the 20 percentile or less, even in Christian homes.
- 2:09And when I'm talking to people, well, you just keep, I don't care about the scripture.
- 2:14How else can you talk to me about God?
- 2:17Well, you got me there.
- 2:21I guess I can't.
- 2:23If you read anything that I write, the book that I wrote, whatever, you'll see it's filled with scriptures.
- 2:28That's on purpose because I don't care about what I think.
- 2:32I just care what God thinks.
- 2:35And I want to make sure that everything I speak
- 2:38is in accordance with God's word.
- 2:41There's a lot of things being propagated today in the name of the church, in the name of God, in the name of Jesus, that are false.
- 2:53They're false doctrines.
- 2:54AI is going crazy in this stuff.
- 2:57Folks, if you don't know the word of God, you can't really trust anything you hear.
- 3:04My pastor Jack Hibbs is being replicated right now with false doctrine.
- 3:08It's his words, his mouth.
- 3:11But it's not the word of God.
- 3:12They're corrupting it.
- 3:16AI is, we're just the beginnings of all that.
- 3:22But the word, why should I trust the word?
- 3:24Some of you, I can't trust.
- 3:25Why so much business?
- 3:27Why so much trust?
- 3:28Why are you depending so much on the word, on this thing you call the Bible?
- 3:35Well, first off, it is God's inspired word.
- 3:39I'm gonna talk about how many authors and all that kind of stuff, but before that, it's God's inspired word.
- 3:48If these were just 40 authors writing their version of the same thing, they wouldn't match.
- 3:59I mean, if you and I both saw a car accident right now,
- 4:04And they came and they interviewed you and they interviewed me.
- 4:07You know that we would not be saying the same things because I saw something different than you did.
- 4:12You know that.
- 4:16This is God's word.
- 4:19And if you haven't experienced it, you probably haven't, but many have and I understand.
- 4:25And I have a smidgen, what am I?
- 4:26I pedal car racks.
- 4:30But I wrote a book and I felt like it was inspired.
- 4:34And do you know, in the wee hours of the night, sometimes 11 o'clock or 1 o'clock in the morning, it just started downloading on me.
- 4:45And as fast as my fingers could type, God was downloading on me and reminding me of things and sharing things and putting scriptures together.
- 4:54And I'm writing, and it was inspired.
- 4:55I'm sorry, I'm not bragging.
- 4:56I don't brag anything but God.
- 4:59Yeah.
- 5:00But even as a guy who pedals car wax, I'm nothing.
- 5:06But even I experienced a touch of inspired writing, even me.
- 5:13So we had 40 writers, get this, 40 authors.
- 5:16There's 66 books, okay, in the Bible, written by 40 authors.
- 5:21Got that?
- 5:22That mile wide sale.
- 5:23Can you imagine 40 authors writing 66 books that all agree?
- 5:27I mean, come on.
- 5:30Oh, but they did it over a span of 1,500 years.
- 5:35Yeah.
- 5:38Oh, and they wrote from the perspectives of where they lived, and they lived on three different continents over 1,500 years.
- 5:49Oh, and they...
- 5:51Some of them wrote in Hebrew, some in Aramaic, and some in Greek.
- 5:56And they all agree.
- 5:59You don't believe the Bible?
- 6:01Really?
- 6:03There's no other document in the history of the world where it comes remotely close to the Bible.
- 6:11In this short time, we could always talk about so many things.
- 6:13I think Bible prophecy, if you read just the scriptures of Bible prophecy, you can't help but say the Bible's real.
- 6:20It's real.
- 6:24You look at all the prophecies about Jesus.
- 6:27I mean, there's like, I say there's 400 specific references to Jesus, but more importantly, there's over 300 specific prophecies about Jesus, and he fulfilled every one of them.
- 6:41What are the odds?
- 6:42They're infinitesimal.
- 6:44It's impossible.
- 6:46You can't do that.
- 6:50He was born in the house of David.
- 6:51You know, he was in the lineage of David.
- 6:54That was prophesied by Isaiah and Jeremiah.
- 6:57Both of them talked about that.
- 7:00A thousand years earlier.
- 7:02How did they know that?
- 7:05They prophesied that a virgin would conceive and give birth to a son, Emmanuel.
- 7:10Again, that was in Isaiah.
- 7:13He'd be born in Bethlehem, this little city of no attention at all.
- 7:18It was nothing in Micah.
- 7:19It even talks of that.
- 7:21He'd be born in the city of no report.
- 7:23And he was.
- 7:24It even talks about how he was betrayed for 30 pieces of silver in Zechariah.
- 7:30His crucifixion is covered completely, but how he was broken.
- 7:40Even to the parting of the garments, the whole thing is all there.
- 7:47It's confirmed by history.
- 7:48Roman records, they have it.
- 7:50It's all there.
- 7:52The scriptures were written...
- 7:56by first-hand reports, you know, most of the New Testament is written by people within 60 years of Jesus and his crucifixion.
- 8:03There's Josephus.
- 8:04Read Josephus.
- 8:05He wasn't even a Christian.
- 8:07He captured it exactly.
- 8:09There's the Dead Sea Scrolls, right, that absolutely confirms the Old Testament.
- 8:15All the Old Testament books are there.
- 8:19They're there.
- 8:20They discovered them back in the 40s, you know, and into the 50s.
- 8:24They were still reading them.
- 8:25You know, that one that thrills me the most?
- 8:26I've been there.
- 8:27I've been to the museum.
- 8:28I've seen them.
- 8:29The one that was captured entirely in one manuscript, not pieces put together, but one manuscript.
- 8:37You know which one it is?
- 8:39It's Isaiah.
- 8:41Do you know that Isaiah prophesied the virgin birth?
- 8:48And God being with us, and he was being pierced for our sin, our iniquities.
- 8:52I mean, he goes on and on and on in the book of Isaiah.
- 8:55You know, their book, the Jewish people he loves, it's his people.
- 8:59And they react so strongly against Jesus.
- 9:02And like the best guy of all, I think, Isaiah, prophesied Jesus.
- 9:10That's in the book.
- 9:11Why should you trust the Bible?
- 9:12Why?
- 9:15Again, all the New Testament writing written by people who were there, they saw it firsthand.
- 9:23There's thousands of manuscripts documenting the Bible.
- 9:26There's no other Bible.
- 9:27There's no other document in the history of the world that has the confirmation of its truth, of its writing, of what had happened, what it says.
- 9:41Like the Bible, there's nothing.
- 9:45The Jewish scribes were legendary.
- 9:47They hand-wrote Scripture, right?
- 9:50And when they replicated it, they hand-wrote it again.
- 9:53And they find them over hundreds of years later.
- 9:57And in the handwriting of the scribes, it's exactly to the word of the one that was written before.
- 10:02It's so exact.
- 10:07Most importantly, I think, is the disciples who,
- 10:16I mean, you read the account of the disciples, they were just like us.
- 10:21I'm grateful they were just like us.
- 10:24They were fleshly, and they were worldly, and they were weak.
- 10:30And when Jesus was taken to the cross, Peter, the one that said, I'll stand up for you.
- 10:35Who me?
- 10:38I don't even know him.
- 10:41And he was the best.
- 10:42The rest of them were hiding.
- 10:44They're gone.
- 10:45They deserted him.
- 10:45After all that ministry, they saw the miracles.
- 10:48They saw him raising people from the dead.
- 10:50At the time when he's going to be crucified, taken to prison, and then crucified, they ran from him.
- 10:56They were like us.
- 10:57We probably would have done the same thing.
- 11:00Fearful, worldly, earthly, sinful.
- 11:05You know what happened after that?
- 11:09When he came back, when he rose again, and he spent 100 days with them, and they felt the nail prints, and he shared with them, and then he ascended.
- 11:24And then those 12 guys, 11 guys, they went out and changed the world.
- 11:29Here we are at this day and age because of them
- 11:35And every one of them stood and fought the fight and spread the word, knowing what was ahead of them and standing proudly.
- 11:45And 11 were martyred, beheaded, stabbed, you name it.
- 11:51Peter, the one that denied him, he was crucified upside down.
- 11:58This is the word of God.
- 11:59This is the Bible.
- 12:00Should you trust the Bible?
- 12:02Seriously?
- 12:04Seriously?
- 12:07How could you watch this and you don't trust the Bible?
- 12:09And then if you have it, you don't even read it?
- 12:13The greatest story ever told beyond that, it's life.
- 12:16It's eternity.
- 12:17The maker, the guy that created the universe, spoke the universe into it.
- 12:21He spoke it into creation.
- 12:24Billions of light years away, it's him.
- 12:27And he always was, always will be.
- 12:29And he made you.
- 12:30And he made me to spend eternity with him.
- 12:33Wow.
- 12:37But I digress.
- 12:391948, prophecies that we're aware of that have been fulfilled.
- 12:44You think about it, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Deuteronomy, they talked about how the Jews are gonna be scattered all over the earth, and they were.
- 12:50The Holocaust, all that, and then it says, they're gonna be brought back to their own land again.
- 13:01And they did, 1948.
- 13:03Unbelievable!
- 13:05We're taking for granted now
- 13:08We're talking about alignment.
- 13:09That whole land was theirs way before there was anything about Muslim or anything else.
- 13:13I mean, it's almost a joke if it wasn't so deadly serious.
- 13:20He brought them back just like he said he would 2,000 years, 1,500 years earlier.
- 13:25It was prophesied that that's exactly what happens in the Bible.
- 13:29And you're questioning whether you should trust the Bible?
- 13:34You know, you look at the alignment of nations today, those that are preparing for the reading, Ezekiel 38, you'll see what's going on today.
- 13:42You can see we're getting ready for that.
- 13:43It could happen at any moment.
- 13:45And do you know that all the way back in the early scriptures, it talks about who would be friends and who wouldn't be of the Middle Eastern, leave alone us.
- 13:55It talks about how Saudi and Jordan and the Emirates, they will all be supporting Israel.
- 14:00And yes, Gog and Magog and Russia and Turkey and Iran and Syria will all be the opposers.
- 14:06That's all written out ahead of time.
- 14:07It's all there.
- 14:09Go to the Bible.
- 14:11How does that happen?
- 14:12If it wasn't God-inspired, how would these men know that?
- 14:19That very thing is dividing the church today.
- 14:21Even in America, we know that in the end days of Scripture tells everybody departs Israel.
- 14:26They're going to be on their own.
- 14:28Even America.
- 14:33You want to know where we are in Bible prophecy?
- 14:38It's even when America turns its back on Israel.
- 14:42And we're doing that big time.
- 14:44Even in the church today.
- 14:47Who would ever believe that Israel would be a controversy in the church?
- 14:55And, you know, there's this explosion of knowledge.
- 14:58Boy, have we seen an explosion of knowledge.
- 14:59Daniel 12 talks about that.
- 15:01AI, everything.
- 15:02Boy, are we seeing an explosion of knowledge.
- 15:04Unprecedented by anything else.
- 15:05The history of the world.
- 15:06The amount of doubling and tripling of knowledge in a short period of time.
- 15:11That's all happening right now.
- 15:13But I'll give you one that's even stronger than that.
- 15:17And you can't get away from this one.
- 15:18We've all heard about the cashless society, you know, where you don't have to have money anymore and you won't be able to lose your identity anymore.
- 15:28It's called by having a mark.
- 15:30And you see there's a number of technologies out.
- 15:33They've tested it already.
- 15:34It's already working.
- 15:35And it just makes sense, quite frankly.
- 15:37I can't lose a mark.
- 15:38You won't see the mark, but they can put it on my arm or my forehead.
- 15:43And wherever I go, I just do that.
- 15:45I just put my car, I just put my arm and boom, and I'm in.
- 15:50It's the case of society.
- 15:54We know that's gonna happen, it's inevitable.
- 15:56It's gotta happen.
- 15:58It's the only way we can have absolute security.
- 16:00It makes sense.
- 16:04Do you know that the Apostle John was banished to the Isle of Patmos and he wrote the book of Revelation
- 16:11And he said amazing things.
- 16:12If you want to read an amazing book, even if you have a hard time understanding it, keep reading it and you'll see these gems.
- 16:21And this one I love the best.
- 16:22You can't argue this, folks.
- 16:23Listen, now understand, Paul, there was no electricity.
- 16:27There was donkeys and carts.
- 16:30There's no electronics.
- 16:32None of that.
- 16:34And God inspired him.
- 16:36He couldn't have come up with this.
- 16:38But yea, verily, 2,000 years ago, he says, and he, who is the Antichrist, who's about to come, I don't want to get into that right now, required everyone, rich, poor, doesn't matter, everyone to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead.
- 16:53That's in Bible prophecy, in Revelations.
- 16:57And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark.
- 17:03It's Revelation 13.
- 17:06Go to Revelation 13.
- 17:08You don't believe the Bible?
- 17:10Read that one verse.
- 17:11That's happening right now.
- 17:14Oh.
- 17:14The Bible's real.
- 17:20Yeah.
- 17:22In 2 Timothy chapter 3,
- 17:26It really describes our world today.
- 17:29It goes like this.
- 17:30But know this.
- 17:32In the last days, perilous times will come.
- 17:35Are they perilous?
- 17:36I mean, everybody's worried about what's going to happen next here, there, and everywhere.
- 17:41For men will be lovers of themselves.
- 17:43Are we not seeing that?
- 17:44They just love themselves.
- 17:45Whatever is good for me, it's the me generation.
- 17:48Lovers of money.
- 17:49Yes.
- 17:50Got to have more money, even in the church.
- 17:53Boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents.
- 17:57Parents have the least standing of every—in the history of the world, parents have never had such poor standing with their kids to the point where the kids are suing their parents.
- 18:08Unthankful, ungrateful, unholy, unloving.
- 18:13Loving, but not even knowing what loving is.
- 18:15Unforgiving, slanderers without self-control.
- 18:19The world is out of control.
- 18:20They were seen as everywhere you look.
- 18:22This passage describes despisers of good.
- 18:26They despise good.
- 18:29Traitors, lovers of pleasure.
- 18:30Give me pleasure.
- 18:31Anywhere you want to go, go on your phone.
- 18:34You can't get away from it.
- 18:35Lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.
- 18:39Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof.
- 18:43And we're seeing that in the church today.
- 18:45My God.
- 18:47So much happening in the church today that is despicable and breaking God's heart.
- 18:53And you know what?
- 18:57Gen Zers have had enough.
- 19:01They're a hope for tomorrow.
- 19:03They're a hope for tomorrow.
- 19:06They get it.
- 19:07And they've had enough of the hypocrisy and the offerings and the failures and the simple little sermons.
- 19:15Have a good day.
- 19:15They've had it.
- 19:16They want truth.
- 19:19And they're coming.
- 19:20I just read an article of what's going on with Gen Zers in England.
- 19:23It's so exciting.
- 19:24They are hope for tomorrow.
- 19:25They really are.
- 19:26I digress.
- 19:29We're telling people who are always learning and never able to come to truth.
- 19:34We're learning about all this stuff, big stuff.
- 19:36Our heads are exploding with all that knowledge, but never understanding the truth, that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came and died for my sins, for your sins.
- 19:52There's a problem with the world today.
- 19:54I'll kind of close this up, but I used to get mad, really mad, really mad.
- 20:01Those people should go to hell, put them in jail.
- 20:05I had strong feelings.
- 20:07I was convicted of that decades ago.
- 20:09I realized that I'm the chief of sinners.
- 20:11Even Paul said that.
- 20:15Because the people around us are doing the dumb things and saying the dumb things.
- 20:18The politicians, you know, they're not stupid.
- 20:23They're lost.
- 20:29They're not evil.
- 20:31I mean, some maybe, I mean, there's some that are giving off.
- 20:33God just gives them over.
- 20:35I shudder to think of being in that situation.
- 20:37God just gives you over to sin.
- 20:39But that's a few in number, and that's not for us to judge.
- 20:42I'm talking about people that will get up and shout with the blood vessels popping out of their necks, and they'll be saying these things.
- 20:49It'll be kids on the street or the politicians in Washington, and they're saying things that are so insane, they make no sense whatsoever.
- 20:56They're saying because they're blinded.
- 20:59Scripture tells Satan puts shields over their eyes so they can't see.
- 21:05They're lost.
- 21:07It says they think, they see evil as good, and that's the only Scripture in the whole Bible that explains what's going on today.
- 21:13They say evil is good and good is evil.
- 21:15We're evil.
- 21:17I'm evil because I love them and I want to know God loves them.
- 21:21Good is, I won't go down the list, but you know what it is.
- 21:24It just doesn't make any sense at all.
- 21:29They're lost.
- 21:32At the bottom line of the gospel, why you should trust the Bible is that God's love never stops.
- 21:42It never stops.
- 21:47They're never gonna stop doing what they're doing until somebody tells them God loves them.
- 21:53And I just pray, God,
- 21:57Help us to see them as God sees them.
- 22:02I pray that I see you as God sees you.
- 22:07That's the answer to everything.
- 22:09Love your neighbor as yourselves.
- 22:10Here's the solution.
- 22:13Move everybody every day closer to Jesus.
- 22:15You're not going to get in a box.
- 22:16He's not putting you in a box.
- 22:17He's not forcing you to do anything you want to do.
- 22:19He's setting you free.
- 22:21He sets you free.
- 22:22Whoever knows the Lord is free and free indeed.
- 22:27The Bible is true.
- 22:28It's a thousand times over.
- 22:29It's true.
- 22:30God loves you.
- 22:31And His love for you never ends.
- 22:36And He wants you to spend eternity with Him forever.
- 22:40And you know what?
- 22:41He sent His Son to die on that horrible cross to make that possible.
- 22:50I pray that you not wait to make that decision until it's too late.
- 22:58Please hear me on that.
- 23:01God bless you.
