- 0:05Speaker 2: And Cole from Bended. Fresh off stage, guntleman, thanks for joining.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Us, Thank you for us up.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Let's just say as you say, you're not long off
- 0:12Speaker 1: stage made like state the obvious, But how was it
- 0:15Speaker 1: from where we were out of the front, It was
- 0:17Speaker 1: fucking amazing?
- 0:17Speaker 4: But how was it?
- 0:18Speaker 5: You guys?
- 0:19Speaker 3: It was fucking mental.
- 0:20Speaker 6: I mean, yeah, we just played in Melbourne and I
- 0:23Speaker 6: was sick, and then we come here and had no
- 0:25Speaker 6: idea what to expect.
- 0:26Speaker 3: And it was fucking crazy. No super hot.
- 0:29Speaker 6: Uh, we were giving the energy and the crowd was
- 0:32Speaker 6: super katy, so so you can ask for it.
- 0:34Speaker 5: It's so hard and.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I thought I was going to bring it up like
- 0:36Speaker 1: he's looked overwhelmed a couple of times on stage.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Yeah, like once that the heat or was it the
- 0:40Speaker 2: crowd response?
- 0:41Speaker 5: Oh, it's definitely the heat. Griffin was starting up, Ben,
- 0:46Speaker 5: We're just going it's just how it.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Works, rolling, Yeah, you going straight?
- 0:51Speaker 1: So speaking the training team rolling, you did have a
- 0:53Speaker 1: filling drummer today, gentleman by the name of Josh, who
- 0:56Speaker 1: did a fantastic job. Like how long did he have
- 0:58Speaker 1: to learn your ship and he was like, said the fold,
- 1:00Speaker 1: it's familiar, like.
- 1:01Speaker 7: Twenty four to forty eight hours, it's pretty much. So
- 1:05Speaker 7: we we took our fifteen sixteen hour flight from La
- 1:09Speaker 7: to here and then we immediately got him off, checked
- 1:12Speaker 7: into the hotel, went to his house and rehearse who
- 1:15Speaker 7: is he?
- 1:15Speaker 2: Where's he from? He's a fucking machine.
- 1:17Speaker 5: He's from Melbourne. He plays in the band called the
- 1:19Speaker 5: Gloom in the Corner.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Okay, that explains a lot. They're very fucking the band. Yeah, no,
- 1:26Speaker 1: it's in you guys all from Dame Moine.
- 1:29Speaker 5: Yah.
- 1:29Speaker 6: Yeah, we all went to school kind of in the
- 1:31Speaker 6: same area and met through you know, going to school
- 1:33Speaker 6: fourteen years old whatever. So we just met like that
- 1:37Speaker 6: and decided to start a group all in the morning.
- 1:39Speaker 2: So, yeah, what are they putting the corner over there?
- 1:41Speaker 2: Because every music the head off, he's fucking sensation.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I don't know, it's it's it's a lot
- 1:48Speaker 3: of fucking nothing. So you just you don't got too much.
- 1:52Speaker 3: An eye was placed sun.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Sounds very simple, but I'm sure it wasn't. Wasn't that simple.
- 1:57Speaker 3: No, there's a lot more levels too, but.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Yeah, very nice so short for vendetta.
- 2:03Speaker 4: You guys come out there and play like you're going
- 2:05Speaker 4: for fucking vengeres and have such a huge presence. How
- 2:10Speaker 4: is our festivals over here standing up to.
- 2:12Speaker 5: In the States? Oh it's fucking Badassah. We love Australia.
- 2:17Speaker 5: It's seriously so cool. Everybody's so nice.
- 2:19Speaker 7: The crowd is always reciprocating, and I mean, how you
- 2:22Speaker 7: drink a fucking showy today?
- 2:24Speaker 2: You did drink.
- 2:29Speaker 1: On someone. I wouldn't drink anything that's been on my foot,
- 2:32Speaker 1: so I wouldn't drink of anything else.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what it's on the inside of the camps.
- 2:39Speaker 5: How do you feel afterwards?
- 2:40Speaker 2: It's a great definitely, definitely.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Something in.
- 2:46Speaker 1: You.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Guys have been together for quite some time now.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Do you feel like you've morphed into the band that
- 2:50Speaker 2: you set out initially to be?
- 2:52Speaker 5: Pretty much? And we're always evalling and always morphing, you know.
- 2:55Speaker 7: I mean we're completely different band from when we were fourteen,
- 2:58Speaker 7: fifteen sixteen, when we're first all met to now on
- 3:00Speaker 7: in our twenties, you know, and we're constantly going to
- 3:04Speaker 7: try to get better pretty much.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Yeah, And starting out, I guess there's a few obstacles anyway,
- 3:10Speaker 4: one being aged to COVID choke holding the fucking world.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Do you feel like that only just pushed you to
- 3:15Speaker 2: kick ass and go harder?
- 3:17Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 3:18Speaker 6: We played our first show two or three days before
- 3:20Speaker 6: everything shut down. Wow, literally right time, so I mean
- 3:24Speaker 6: like bocking six show, but then nothing else right, So
- 3:27Speaker 6: it just sent us back to the to the rehearsal
- 3:30Speaker 6: in this case or whatever, And it gave us another
- 3:32Speaker 6: year to just shut the door and keep practicing and
- 3:36Speaker 6: getting better. So yeah, it gave us a whole year
- 3:38Speaker 6: to reevaluate and get a lot better. And then twenty
- 3:41Speaker 6: one is when everything started, you know, coming back. Yeah,
- 3:45Speaker 6: and we released music and started playing again, and we
- 3:47Speaker 6: were just that much better.
- 3:48Speaker 4: After that, so I actually have time to hone it in.
- 3:52Speaker 4: Come out of the gates.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Yeah, that's exactly.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Is there a universe that exists where you guys wouldn't
- 3:56Speaker 4: be musicians?
- 3:58Speaker 7: No, no, no, this is this is what we were
- 4:01Speaker 7: meant for.
- 4:02Speaker 3: So that's what we're gonna do.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Amazing, And who's the genius behind your stage cohesion with
- 4:07Speaker 4: the outfits and the colors and.
- 4:10Speaker 7: It's pretty much it's pretty much everybody or whatever, all
- 4:12Speaker 7: those sort we came up with the idea together and
- 4:15Speaker 7: we just wanted to be different from the bands on
- 4:17Speaker 7: stage and really.
- 4:19Speaker 5: Wanted to be nasty and really feel it.
- 4:21Speaker 7: And I hope it comes across everybody out there, you
- 4:23Speaker 7: know too, especially Yeah, I.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Was watching it was like, how the fuck are you?
- 4:29Speaker 2: You know? All black?
- 4:30Speaker 3: Rather sweat than look regular?
- 4:31Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 4:32Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, thank you lat for the day.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:37Speaker 1: When you guys first started out, like I suppose I
- 4:39Speaker 1: would your goals for band, like musically, what did you
- 4:42Speaker 1: just want to achieve?
- 4:42Speaker 2: And how's that changed?
- 4:43Speaker 5: Since then? Nothing's really changed.
- 4:45Speaker 3: It's always been how big can we take this? And
- 4:47Speaker 3: how far can we take this?
- 4:48Speaker 6: I mean it's like you see Metallica start playing when
- 4:51Speaker 6: they're seventeen eighteen and then be there the biggest.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Metal band in the world, and we're off to do
- 4:56Speaker 3: the same thing.
- 4:57Speaker 6: So it's it's kind of all or nothing for us,
- 4:59Speaker 6: and in the sense that we want to make such
- 5:01Speaker 6: an impact that we want to go as far as
- 5:04Speaker 6: we can.
- 5:04Speaker 1: So, yeah, you talked about evolving with your music, like
- 5:07Speaker 1: along those lines, how much musical growth the revolution.
- 5:10Speaker 5: Has been got left in him?
- 5:11Speaker 6: You reckon left in us? Yeah, it's it's untapped even.
- 5:15Speaker 6: I mean we're only one record in and who knows
- 5:18Speaker 6: how long it'll take us, you know.
- 5:19Speaker 5: Maybe five years, maybe.
- 5:21Speaker 6: Fifty years, you know, So we're just going to take
- 5:23Speaker 6: it to the max that we can and continuously evolve
- 5:26Speaker 6: the whole time.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Have you have you got a plan? Like have you've
- 5:28Speaker 2: got to set stages where you want to be in career?
- 5:30Speaker 3: So absolutely, yeah?
- 5:31Speaker 2: Can you reveal a few of them?
- 5:32Speaker 6: I don't know, I mean, you on half of it.
- 5:36Speaker 6: As the universe figure it out.
- 5:38Speaker 3: We're going to do Universe. We're going to do the
- 5:41Speaker 3: best we can, right, push it as hard as.
- 5:42Speaker 2: We can, all right.
- 5:43Speaker 1: And you speaking of your debut album that didn't come
- 5:45Speaker 1: out last year, so here was a reception for that, Like,
- 5:48Speaker 1: did you have any expectations with that?
- 5:50Speaker 5: Honestly?
- 5:51Speaker 7: Like, we just went in and wrote the songs that
- 5:54Speaker 7: we wanted to do and honestly never really thought about
- 5:57Speaker 7: how people would really receive it.
- 5:59Speaker 5: But it's been absolutely fucking awesome, you know.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And if you sort of started planning for the next
- 6:05Speaker 1: one in a are you still enjoying this one?
- 6:06Speaker 6: We're always one step ahead, brother, nice, always got the
- 6:09Speaker 6: next one back.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Tell I never know the next step.
- 6:20Speaker 4: What's it like releasing an album in stay's climate? Is
- 6:23Speaker 4: it fucking terrifying or is it just like this is
- 6:26Speaker 4: what we got taken?
- 6:28Speaker 7: Not really, I mean all this is just you know,
- 6:30Speaker 7: you're just releasing art and whatever stuff you want to make,
- 6:33Speaker 7: you know, I mean, like, you know, the record label
- 6:36Speaker 7: stuff is very interesting today because it's a lot of
- 6:38Speaker 7: industry is pretty much flipped upside down now at this point,
- 6:40Speaker 7: and a lot of bands either need record labels or
- 6:43Speaker 7: a lot of bands really don't need record labels now.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Yeah, and it off your own back? How do you
- 6:49Speaker 4: gee yourself up to go in front of thousands of
- 6:51Speaker 4: people playing and sorry?
- 6:52Speaker 2: Is it dawn thing at all?
- 6:53Speaker 4: Or do you just not really think about you just
- 6:54Speaker 4: got there and do your thing.
- 6:57Speaker 5: I mean, like at the beginning it was really nervous.
- 7:00Speaker 5: At this point is just natural what we do. I
- 7:02Speaker 5: don't really think twice anymore at this point.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Nice.
- 7:06Speaker 1: And you've also aside from the not fair shows, you've
- 7:08Speaker 1: got another one coming up in Sydney next Saturday. You've
- 7:11Speaker 1: got support the Slipknot on the fourth in Adelaide. But
- 7:13Speaker 1: we've also got your own shows, but one in Brisbane
- 7:16Speaker 1: on the fifth at the right side and Melbourne on
- 7:18Speaker 1: the sick that stay gold. So anyone that saw you
- 7:21Speaker 1: here today, how's your shows.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Going to differ to them?
- 7:23Speaker 1: Of course you're going to be longer, but was there
- 7:25Speaker 1: more theatrics? You've got more stage props in.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Your own shows?
- 7:28Speaker 6: I mean you can imagine what you saw on stage
- 7:30Speaker 6: today packed into a ten times smaller stage, ten times
- 7:35Speaker 6: smaller room.
- 7:36Speaker 5: So I mean the energy just bolds up.
- 7:39Speaker 6: All right, We're bringing the same fucking energy in the
- 7:41Speaker 6: smaller room, and they even got crazier because the fans
- 7:44Speaker 6: are right there. There's no barricade, there's no nothing, and
- 7:47Speaker 6: we feed off of that, so it's it's even more intense.
- 7:50Speaker 3: This is something that I.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Would say, And this is your first.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Time to Australia, Yes, sir, Yeah, so I heard.
- 7:56Speaker 2: You say on stage you're going to be back soon.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Was that just like.
- 7:58Speaker 6: Always always to be back, you know, we always like
- 8:02Speaker 6: to circle the world.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Man, Well we love it here yourself, of course.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And the response is a got like we all knew
- 8:07Speaker 1: you were going to get a great response, but you
- 8:09Speaker 1: guys a little bit a bit nervous to be anxious
- 8:11Speaker 1: about what would happen like that.
- 8:13Speaker 3: I know, but I mean you can go on there
- 8:15Speaker 3: and eat. We're going to play the show though, and
- 8:17Speaker 3: we're going to give it all we can. But they
- 8:19Speaker 3: love this. It's cool, very nice.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Before we let you go, guys, we've got one. I've
- 8:25Speaker 1: got one heavy shirt here. It's large, but we had
- 8:27Speaker 1: heavy love to use of the.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Word cuntch and you guys said it off stage a
- 8:31Speaker 2: fair bit. So we're watched walking with the heavy family.
- 8:33Speaker 2: We've got one.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Large, so the band wants it. It's a large, heavy shirt,
- 8:37Speaker 1: but you're initially officially in the family large largely amazing,
- 8:45Speaker 1: very nice.
- 8:46Speaker 4: You got anything else, Car, I just want to know
- 8:49Speaker 4: with all the huge festivals that you guys have played,
- 8:51Speaker 4: that's fucking incredible. Is that all your bucket list moments done?
- 8:54Speaker 2: Or what's the biggest lust?
- 8:57Speaker 7: Oh, it's it's never ending after you do. You know
- 9:00Speaker 7: one fest there's a souder fast. I mean fest is.
- 9:03Speaker 5: Coming back like ward to is back now and yeah.
- 9:06Speaker 7: I mean Mayham did their thing and all that stuff.
- 9:09Speaker 7: I mean there's always new new levels, so I mean,
- 9:12Speaker 7: one day I don't like them headline an arena, Yeah, yeah,
- 9:16Speaker 7: maybe one day.
- 9:17Speaker 5: I also like to have online at Goddam Stadium.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Goddy, what else is he not coming up for watching?
- 9:23Speaker 2: It doesn't have to get into try what else do
- 9:25Speaker 2: you go?
- 9:26Speaker 6: We're doing a US tour with while she sleeps and
- 9:29Speaker 6: Bury tomorrow in April, so that'll be the States we're doing.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Work tour, we're doing, you know, just a ton of stuff.
- 9:35Speaker 3: We're trying to fill out the whole year.
- 9:37Speaker 5: Keep the train rolling, you know straight.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Al Right, guys, well, thanks very much for joining us
- 9:41Speaker 2: place against tonight.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Let's have enjoyed the rest.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Of your talk.
- 9:45Speaker 6: We'll see on Monday we'll be there.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you very much
- 9:58Speaker 4: And
