- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news. Now you'll find out what
- 0:04Speaker 1: it all means. It's Mark Simone on.
- 0:09Speaker 2: 710WOR.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Well, hey, don't forget we're 9 o'clock now, 9 to noon,
- 0:15Speaker 3: three hours every day. A lot of stuff going on.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Jimmy Kimmel, the cancellation of Kimmel has been announced. We'll
- 0:22Speaker 3: get to that. I hate to scare you about summer
- 0:25Speaker 3: coming to an end, but NFL season begins tonight. The
- 0:30Speaker 3: opening game of the NFL season is tonight. We'll get
- 0:33Speaker 3: to that. We'll get to, hey, these 9-11 air quality
- 0:37Speaker 3: files that have been released are quite upsetting to everybody.
- 0:43Speaker 3: We'll get to tonight's convention, the Republican midterm convention. We've
- 0:48Speaker 3: never seen a midterm convention before. It's a good idea,
- 0:51Speaker 3: but there's a lot of buts to it.
- 0:53Speaker 4: We'll get to that.
- 0:54Speaker 3: New Hampshire primary last night. Sununu won the Republican side.
- 1:00Speaker 2: We also need to shake up Washington with real reform.
- 1:04Speaker 5: What does that mean?
- 1:05Speaker 3: Nothing. You see, every politician says that every election. Every
- 1:10Speaker 3: two seconds they've been saying that for a hundred years.
- 1:13Speaker 4: It never happens.
- 1:14Speaker 3: On the Democratic side, Pappas won.
- 1:16Speaker 1: The voters of New Hampshire have sent a clear message.
- 1:20Speaker 6: They're fed up with what's happening in our politics and
- 1:23Speaker 6: they're ready for change.
- 1:24Speaker 7: Woo!
- 1:25Speaker 3: Yeah, so again, same stuff. Now, there's only one scary
- 1:29Speaker 3: thing that came out of New Hampshire. Democratic turnout was
- 1:32Speaker 3: pretty good. Republican turnout was kind of low. That's a problem.
- 1:38Speaker 3: That's going to be a big problem for Republicans in
- 1:40Speaker 3: the midterms. They've got to get turnout. That's the key
- 1:43Speaker 3: to everything. I mean, if everybody in the world voted,
- 1:48Speaker 3: they'd probably have an easy time of winning. But turnout
- 1:52Speaker 3: is the key. And again, it's an off-year election. People
- 1:55Speaker 3: don't always turn out. Democrats are fired up. They're angry.
- 2:00Speaker 3: So the turnout was a little better for Democrats and
- 2:03Speaker 3: a little low for Republicans in New Hampshire. Now, they've
- 2:06Speaker 3: got plenty of time to correct that, so they're going
- 2:08Speaker 3: to have to work on making sure they get turnout,
- 2:11Speaker 3: a ground game, all that sort of stuff. That's one reason,
- 2:14Speaker 3: the main reason for tonight's Republican midterm convention. It'll be
- 2:19Speaker 3: in Dallas. The president has decided he'll speak tonight. Now,
- 2:23Speaker 3: you've got a couple of problems. One, you got this
- 2:25Speaker 3: big NFL game on against it tonight. That's not going
- 2:29Speaker 3: to help. And it's not just any NFL season opener.
- 2:32Speaker 3: It's a rematch of the Super Bowl. Seahawks and Patriots
- 2:35Speaker 3: will play tonight. So it's the two Super Bowl teams
- 2:38Speaker 3: playing again. It's the first NFL official season game. It's
- 2:44Speaker 3: going to get a huge audience, so that's not going
- 2:46Speaker 3: to help this Republican midterm convention. Now, the idea of
- 2:50Speaker 3: the Republican midterm convention is is they'll fire up their
- 2:54Speaker 3: base and they'll get people out and they'll show people
- 2:56Speaker 3: why they got to vote Republican. Well, that's all great,
- 2:58Speaker 3: but who's going to watch it? Who's going to actually
- 3:01Speaker 3: see this convention tonight? It won't be on any of
- 3:03Speaker 3: the networks. It won't be covered by fake news. It
- 3:07Speaker 3: won't be covered by the New York Times or any
- 3:09Speaker 3: of this. You're not going to see it on MSNBC
- 3:12Speaker 3: or CNN. You won't see it on the broadcast networks. Now,
- 3:15Speaker 3: Fox News has said they would cover it, but... The
- 3:20Speaker 3: problem there is you've got to figure most of the
- 3:22Speaker 3: Fox viewers are already going to be voting Republican, will
- 3:25Speaker 3: already be voting, you know, already supporting Trump. So basically
- 3:30Speaker 3: that's just preaching to the choir. So that's the problem
- 3:33Speaker 3: with tonight. It's a two-night convention. President Trump will speak tonight.
- 3:38Speaker 4: J.D.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Vance will speak tomorrow. President Trump will probably speak again tomorrow. Now,
- 3:43Speaker 3: the other problem is he's got to be really careful tonight.
- 3:48Speaker 3: really careful with this speech. You know, affordability crisis, all
- 3:53Speaker 3: of that. Well, it's not really that much of a crisis.
- 3:56Speaker 3: If you look at the actual economy, the numbers, the data,
- 4:00Speaker 3: it's a pretty strong, pretty good economy. He's got to
- 4:03Speaker 3: be careful selling that because if you make it sound
- 4:06Speaker 3: like you're oblivious, people feel there's an affordability crisis. There
- 4:12Speaker 3: may not be the crisis they think, but if they
- 4:14Speaker 3: feel it, You got to be careful with that. The
- 4:18Speaker 3: other problem is you don't want to make Trump too
- 4:20Speaker 3: much the face of the midterms, which he is kind
- 4:24Speaker 3: of doing, saying, assume I'm on the ballot. Well, the
- 4:28Speaker 3: problem is, again, that inspires Democratic turnout. That'll increase Democratic turnout.
- 4:33Speaker 3: And again, he's got to be careful with the speech tonight,
- 4:36Speaker 3: not seeming oblivious to people's concerns. Empathy is important. So
- 4:41Speaker 3: he's got to be careful because they could start cutting
- 4:44Speaker 3: up his speech tonight to make campaign commercials on the
- 4:47Speaker 3: Democratic side. And he's just got to be careful. The
- 4:53Speaker 3: other thing with that speech, he's got to make sure
- 4:55Speaker 3: he doesn't make himself too much the face of the party.
- 4:57Speaker 3: And another concern, he did accomplish a lot while in
- 5:04Speaker 3: office the last two years. He really did accomplish a lot.
- 5:06Speaker 3: But you gotta be careful not to just talk about
- 5:09Speaker 3: the past. You can't just list what you, what you
- 5:12Speaker 3: did before.
- 5:13Speaker 4: You got to.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Promise something that's coming, you know, no tax on tips,
- 5:16Speaker 3: all those things that people loved. That's already there. You
- 5:20Speaker 3: got to have something new to promote. Now, knowing him,
- 5:22Speaker 3: the guy that always pulls a rabbit out of the hat,
- 5:25Speaker 3: he'll unveil something tonight. Uh, that'll be pretty amazing. So
- 5:29Speaker 3: we'll see. It'll happen tonight. Again, I don't know what
- 5:31Speaker 3: kind of coverage or where it'll get any coverage. Um, Hey,
- 5:36Speaker 3: as far as 9-11, a lot of people are saying, well,
- 5:40Speaker 3: Mamdani finally done one good thing. There were these secret
- 5:44Speaker 3: files that show that everybody in government, local government, city government,
- 5:50Speaker 3: state government, federal government, they all knew the air quality
- 5:53Speaker 3: was horrible, that it was poisonous, that it was really dangerous,
- 5:57Speaker 3: and they deliberately covered it up. And the reason they
- 6:01Speaker 3: covered it up, if you'll read through these files, the
- 6:03Speaker 3: reason they covered it up was They saw a potential
- 6:08Speaker 3: for extreme liability. They would have to pay unbelievable amounts
- 6:13Speaker 3: of insurance claims on everybody working down there, living down there,
- 6:18Speaker 3: to avoid that massive, calamitous liability problem. They covered it up.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Press conference yesterday, Mamdani, Jon Stewart, a Mamdani buddy, who's
- 6:31Speaker 3: always been quite the advocate for those 9-11 families.
- 6:34Speaker 8: There was poison everywhere. in the air and on the
- 6:37Speaker 8: ground and in the windowsills and in your air conditioners
- 6:42Speaker 8: and covering your pets and your clothes. And it stayed
- 6:46Speaker 8: there for months.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Everyone knew.
- 6:52Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Now, why would Mamdani do such a noble thing here,
- 6:54Speaker 3: releasing the files? Why would he be so? Well, I
- 6:58Speaker 3: think the main motivation here is he wants to take
- 7:03Speaker 3: down the establishment government. the people he's always being compared to,
- 7:07Speaker 3: Rudy Giuliani, the greatest mayor ever, George Pataki, a great governor.
- 7:13Speaker 3: He's trying to destroy their reputations. That's one reason he
- 7:17Speaker 3: wants to release this. He wants to discredit all of them.
- 7:20Speaker 3: And he wants to do it before he goes down
- 7:22Speaker 3: there for the 9-11 ceremony. People are very upset he'll
- 7:26Speaker 3: be there. He's not George Pataki. He's not Rudy Giuliani. Well,
- 7:29Speaker 3: he's trying to bring them down by releasing all this information.
- 7:32Speaker 3: But It's still important that we get to see it.
- 7:35Speaker 3: They did cover up. They knew how bad the air was,
- 7:38Speaker 3: and they covered it up.
- 7:39Speaker 5: We hold an obligation to each of those New Yorkers
- 7:43Speaker 5: to ensure that Never Forget is not just a platitude,
- 7:47Speaker 5: but that it is something material to lead with the
- 7:50Speaker 5: honesty and responsibility that have too long been lacking, and
- 7:54Speaker 5: to fight for those who were there, devoted to the
- 7:57Speaker 5: city that they loved.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Now, let's be honest, deep down, Mamdani, does he really
- 8:01Speaker 3: care about the firemen and the policemen and the first
- 8:04Speaker 3: responders and those great heroes? Does he really care? No.
- 8:07Speaker 3: He hopes you all drop dead, but he'd love to
- 8:10Speaker 3: discredit all the establishment politicians who covered things up.
- 8:13Speaker 5: The 170,000 pages posted today are only the first release.
- 8:18Speaker 5: More will be shared over the next 12 months. Every
- 8:21Speaker 5: document on this portal will be accessible to every New
- 8:23Speaker 5: Yorker free of charge.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Yeah, he didn't just release him. He put him up online.
- 8:27Speaker 3: He put a search thing in there. We'll see how
- 8:30Speaker 3: much attention it gets, but he's trying to really damage
- 8:32Speaker 3: the reputations of all the establishment politicians.
- 8:35Speaker 5: These are documents that show what the city knew about
- 8:38Speaker 5: the toxic air around Ground Zero, when they knew it,
- 8:42Speaker 5: and how they acted to limit liability. They contain details
- 8:46Speaker 5: about DEP's response. They show how asbestos was found nearly
- 8:51Speaker 5: everywhere that inspectors tested, and they will help New Yorkers
- 8:54Speaker 5: access the health care they need.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Yeah, it's pretty scary stuff. It's pretty ugly stuff, and
- 8:59Speaker 3: it's pretty outrageous stuff. But again, his motive isn't as
- 9:05Speaker 3: noble as you think. He's really just trying to destroy Rudy,
- 9:08Speaker 3: George Pataki, and all the leaders that were down there.
- 9:11Speaker 8: The city began covering their ass three weeks in. In
- 9:17Speaker 8: a memo, the memo is entitled Legislative Alternatives to the
- 9:23Speaker 8: Fiscal Responsibility for 9-11. These people had to fight, sick
- 9:29Speaker 8: and dying, for years.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Yeah, that's pretty bad stuff. All right, it's depressing. Let
- 9:37Speaker 3: me give you some good news. Jimmy Kimmel will be
- 9:39Speaker 3: going off the air. It's the end of the Jimmy
- 9:42Speaker 3: Kimmel era. It's been on a long time. You know,
- 9:46Speaker 3: it's been 24 years. This guy's been on 23 or
- 9:49Speaker 3: 24 years. Remember, we've explained to you that when your
- 9:54Speaker 3: contract is up, you get another contract, three years, five years.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Some people like three years. Some people like five.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Years.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Well, this time around, they didn't give them a new contract.
- 10:03Speaker 3: They just gave them a one-year extension, which is pretty insulting.
- 10:09Speaker 3: It happened once to Johnny Carson. Every five years, they'd
- 10:13Speaker 3: show up and sign the new five-year contract, and all
- 10:15Speaker 3: of a sudden, they showed up one year, and the
- 10:17Speaker 3: NBC guy said, how about a one-year contract? Well, Carson,
- 10:21Speaker 3: right on the spot, said he was retiring. He knew
- 10:24Speaker 3: what that meant. So they did it to Kimmel. They
- 10:26Speaker 3: gave him a one-year extension, which is as insulting as
- 10:29Speaker 3: you can get. It's just about up. It'll be up
- 10:32Speaker 3: at the end of this season. So they've announced one
- 10:38Speaker 3: more season. Well, they haven't actually announced it, but the
- 10:41Speaker 3: word is one more season, and he'll go off the
- 10:43Speaker 3: air in May. And that'll be the end of Kimmel.
- 10:48Speaker 3: I think one of the things that sped it up
- 10:50Speaker 3: was when they got rid of Colbert over at CBS,
- 10:54Speaker 3: it was replaced with just a real comedy show, not
- 10:57Speaker 3: an angry political show, not a biased, angry show with
- 11:01Speaker 3: an agenda, just a genuine comedy show, laughs, Byron Allen's
- 11:05Speaker 3: Comics Unleashed. And it's crushing Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel
- 11:11Speaker 3: in the most important thing, 18 to 49 year olds,
- 11:14Speaker 3: the demo that the TV networks want, 18 to 49.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Byron Allen's Comics Unleashed, crushing both of them. And it's
- 11:23Speaker 3: a much cheaper show to do than Fallon or Kimmel.
- 11:28Speaker 3: So I think when Kimmel goes off the air, that's
- 11:30Speaker 3: what they got in mind. They'll go with a real
- 11:32Speaker 3: comedy show. This Byron Allen is a genius. This guy
- 11:35Speaker 3: was a comedian, stand-up comedian. Then he got into the
- 11:38Speaker 3: business end. He's now a billionaire. This Comics Unleashed, if
- 11:42Speaker 3: you watch the way they produce it, it's four comedians.
- 11:45Speaker 3: He interviews them. And they actually beforehand, they give the
- 11:51Speaker 3: producers all their best routines, their best material, and they
- 11:54Speaker 3: write up questions to get those routines out. So it's
- 11:57Speaker 3: pretty scripted. Although it doesn't look it, but it ends up,
- 12:01Speaker 3: everything is very funny. It's a very funny show. There's
- 12:04Speaker 3: no political jokes, not even topical jokes. It's just funny stuff.
- 12:08Speaker 3: They tape five of them in one day. So it's
- 12:12Speaker 3: one day in the studio. And it's a very economical,
- 12:17Speaker 3: cheap show to do. As opposed to Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel,
- 12:23Speaker 3: where you've got an orchestra, you've got an audience you've
- 12:25Speaker 3: got to bring in and out every day. Although Kimmel
- 12:28Speaker 3: and Fallon have been doing so poorly that they quietly
- 12:31Speaker 3: just cut those shows down to four days a week,
- 12:33Speaker 3: three days a week. They don't even do a show
- 12:35Speaker 3: every day. So Kimmel will go off the air in May.
- 12:39Speaker 3: That'll be the end of him. That's two down. One
- 12:43Speaker 3: to go. Well, actually, you can leave. One thing about
- 12:45Speaker 3: Jimmy Fallon, he really is genuinely a comedian. So when
- 12:48Speaker 3: he sees the writing on the wall, he'll switch the
- 12:50Speaker 3: Tonight Show back to comedy. There'll be no more Trump
- 12:54Speaker 3: derangement syndrome throughout the monologue. Let's go back to a
- 12:57Speaker 3: straight comedy show. And he'll do very well that way.
- 13:00Speaker 3: He can pull that off. So NFL Tonight, opening night.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Halloween stuff is everywhere. Do you know I was walking
- 13:09Speaker 3: by a house yesterday, 64th? Between Madison and Park. It
- 13:15Speaker 3: was the first house I saw with the Halloween decorations up.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Already decorated for Halloween. Absolutely ridiculous. But it's starting. So, hey, 9-11.
- 13:29Speaker 3: You know Howard Lutnick? He's the Commerce Secretary. He was
- 13:34Speaker 3: the chairman of the hedge fund, Cantor Fitzgerald. Big, huge fund.
- 13:38Speaker 3: And all their offices were in the World Trade Center.
- 13:43Speaker 3: And Lutnick had a couple of floors of the World
- 13:45Speaker 3: Trade Center. In 9-11, he lost hundreds and hundreds and
- 13:49Speaker 3: hundreds of employees. They were killed, almost lost the whole company.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Somehow he rebuilt it. It survived and thrived. And Lutnick
- 13:58Speaker 3: is the chairman. He would have normally been there, but something,
- 14:01Speaker 3: his wife couldn't pick up the kids from school. So
- 14:03Speaker 3: she asked him, could he do it that one day?
- 14:05Speaker 3: And that's the only reason he wasn't there. President Trump
- 14:09Speaker 3: talking about this.
- 14:10Speaker 10: This was the first time in years that he wasn't
- 14:12Speaker 10: there early in the morning. So you could say he
- 14:16Speaker 10: owes a lot to his son and he owes a
- 14:18Speaker 10: lot to his wife. But he brought his son to school.
- 14:22Speaker 10: And because of that, he got to see it from
- 14:25Speaker 10: the West Side Highway. He saw the planes go into
- 14:27Speaker 10: the towers and he said, oh, my God, my people,
- 14:30Speaker 10: my people.
- 14:31Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 14:32Speaker 3: So a lot of these cases of the people that
- 14:33Speaker 3: normally would have been there The great chef restaurateur, Michael Lomonaco,
- 14:38Speaker 3: he ran the, remember the beautiful restaurant on the top,
- 14:42Speaker 3: Windows on the World? He was the guy running it.
- 14:45Speaker 3: He would have been there. Something happened. He had a
- 14:46Speaker 3: doctor's appointment or something. So one day he wasn't there
- 14:50Speaker 3: in the morning.
- 14:52Speaker 4: Amazing.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Just amazing stories from there. You know, I was talking
- 14:58Speaker 3: about this yesterday. These ceremonies every year, I don't like,
- 15:03Speaker 3: I don't like, going through this i hate reliving it
- 15:07Speaker 3: it's the 25th anniversary so it'll be a huge ceremony
- 15:10Speaker 3: and yesterday i said in pearl harbor in hawaii do
- 15:13Speaker 3: they still do this every year do they still put
- 15:15Speaker 3: themselves through this every year it's kind of painful to
- 15:18Speaker 3: relive it but do they have a ceremony every year
- 15:21Speaker 3: do they make a big deal i showed i so
- 15:24Speaker 3: i was talking about that yesterday i actually called people
- 15:26Speaker 3: in hawaii and asked them yes they do every year
- 15:30Speaker 3: it's a huge event It's on television. If you're in Hawaii,
- 15:34Speaker 3: it's on all your television stations. Every year, even this year,
- 15:38Speaker 3: it's 85 years later. It's still a massive event there.
- 15:44Speaker 3: And it's quite a ceremony every year in Pearl Harbor.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Believe it or not, Japanese government officials fly over for it,
- 15:53Speaker 3: participate in the ceremony, and give apologies. And it's a
- 15:59Speaker 3: major ceremony every year in Pearl Harbor. And apparently this
- 16:03Speaker 3: will be in December, the first year they do the
- 16:07Speaker 3: ceremony without any survivors there. The last survivor died recently.
- 16:13Speaker 3: So last year they had one survivor there, but they
- 16:16Speaker 3: still do it every year. Hey, we've got a lot
- 16:18Speaker 3: to get to. We'll get to the governor's race. Interesting
- 16:22Speaker 3: poll that just came out. We'll get to Lindsey Clancy
- 16:24Speaker 3: and a whole lot more coming up. Mark Simone here,
- 16:27Speaker 3: 9 to noon. It's three hours every day, 9 to noon.
- 16:31Speaker 3: right here on 710WOR. Mark Simone.
- 16:35Speaker 7: Mr.
- 16:35Speaker 3: New York.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Now three hours every weekday from 9 till noon on 710WOR.
- 16:44Speaker 4: Hey.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Well, there's a new poll out. It's a John McLaughlin poll,
- 16:50Speaker 3: so it's very, very accurate. Very accurate. The new poll
- 16:54Speaker 3: for the governor's race shows Bruce Blakeman closing the gap.
- 16:58Speaker 3: You know, he was something like 25 points behind when
- 17:00Speaker 3: he started the race, but that's okay. When he ran
- 17:03Speaker 3: in Nassau County and Nassau County has the same exact
- 17:07Speaker 3: demographics makeup as the state of New York, he was
- 17:11Speaker 3: 25 points behind and he just kept rising and rising
- 17:15Speaker 3: and rising in the polls. And he caught up and
- 17:18Speaker 3: next thing you know, he won and he won big.
- 17:20Speaker 3: So you'll see the same pattern here. He was 25
- 17:23Speaker 3: points behind when he began and Remember the last time
- 17:26Speaker 3: I told you about this, he was like 10 points behind. Well,
- 17:29Speaker 3: in the latest, Bruce Blakeman is four points behind. Four
- 17:32Speaker 3: points behind with a long way to go. And remember,
- 17:35Speaker 3: the campaign doesn't really begin until now. It's on in
- 17:39Speaker 3: the summer, but it doesn't really start until after Labor Day.
- 17:43Speaker 3: So now you're going to see Blakeman really pick up steam.
- 17:46Speaker 3: He's four points behind, 49 to 47. Pretty amazing. Now,
- 17:53Speaker 3: the other thing in this poll is, More than half
- 17:55Speaker 3: the voters, 55%, don't have a favorable view of Kathy Hochul.
- 18:02Speaker 3: And you can understand why. Majority of voters, 56%, think
- 18:07Speaker 3: it's time to give someone else a chance to do better.
- 18:11Speaker 3: There is a 38% that thinks she's done well as governor.
- 18:15Speaker 3: I don't know who these 38% are, but they're just
- 18:20Speaker 3: victims of fake news and reading the New York Times and... Now,
- 18:25Speaker 3: there's other studies out. These are not as accurate as McLaughlin,
- 18:29Speaker 3: but the Gallup, the Washington Post poll, the media polls
- 18:35Speaker 3: that show that data centers have become an issue. 70%
- 18:41Speaker 3: opposed building these data centers, but it's actually becoming a
- 18:46Speaker 3: midterm issue. Now, the data centers, they make a hell
- 18:50Speaker 3: of a lot of noise if you've got one in
- 18:51Speaker 3: your neighborhood. It's going to make a lot of noise
- 18:54Speaker 3: all night long. These big turbines, it's a noise, a hum, vibration.
- 18:59Speaker 3: You get all that stuff. It's very annoying. It's like
- 19:01Speaker 3: living next to an airport. There's no danger of any
- 19:04Speaker 3: kind from a data center. It's just noisy. They don't
- 19:08Speaker 3: use that much water. They figured out how to recycle water.
- 19:11Speaker 3: So now they don't use that much water anymore. The
- 19:13Speaker 3: electricity problem they've solved. So at some point, they'll solve
- 19:17Speaker 3: the noise problem. In fact, Elon Musk, is building the
- 19:21Speaker 3: biggest data center in the world. And he's working on,
- 19:25Speaker 3: instead of using these conventional turbines and coolers and the
- 19:28Speaker 3: systems they use, building his own. He'll figure out a
- 19:31Speaker 3: way to make them quiet, so that'll solve that problem.
- 19:34Speaker 3: But they've demonized these data centers enough so people treat
- 19:39Speaker 3: them like they're nuclear plants. You remember the same thing
- 19:41Speaker 3: happened with the nuclear plants? And they were yelling and
- 19:44Speaker 3: screaming how dangerous they were. The most dangerous thing, the
- 19:46Speaker 3: nuclear plant, was so dangerous it could kill us all.
- 19:51Speaker 3: It got to the point where Cuomo actually shut down
- 19:54Speaker 3: our Indian Point nuclear plant. The result was your electric
- 19:58Speaker 3: bill went up like 400% because of that. That was 25%
- 20:02Speaker 3: of our electricity. So shutting it down has cost you
- 20:06Speaker 3: a lot of money and was perfectly safe. There was
- 20:09Speaker 3: never a problem, never any threat from Indian Point. You
- 20:14Speaker 3: could argue, well, you have a disposing of the nuclear rods.
- 20:17Speaker 3: That's hazardous. They've got to be transported. Well, they've solved
- 20:20Speaker 3: that problem now, too. There's nothing dangerous about these nuclear plants. Hey, now,
- 20:27Speaker 3: Kathy Hochul, she's seen all these same polls. She sees
- 20:31Speaker 3: she's falling behind. She sees she's likely to lose this race.
- 20:34Speaker 3: So she's panicking. She's announcing all kinds of things. She's
- 20:38Speaker 3: not big with the Jewish community because she's a Mamdani-loving Democrat,
- 20:42Speaker 3: so she's got a problem there. So yesterday she announced
- 20:46Speaker 3: a $ 70 million boost for synagogue security. $ 70 million she's
- 20:53Speaker 3: pledged to increase synagogue security ahead of the Jewish high holidays.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Wait a minute. Let's look at the fine print here.
- 21:03Speaker 3: First of all, it's already 35. She's just adding 35
- 21:06Speaker 3: to it. Also, it's not scheduled. This is for the
- 21:13Speaker 3: 2027 fiscal year budget. So it's not going to start
- 21:17Speaker 3: in time. Hate crimes are through the roof. She mentioned
- 21:21Speaker 3: that she said anti-Semitic incidents are more than half of
- 21:25Speaker 3: the hate crimes for the first time ever. She forgot
- 21:28Speaker 3: to mention that she's one of the people responsible for
- 21:31Speaker 3: it with her support of Mamdani. Nobody has done more
- 21:35Speaker 3: to increase anti-Semitism in Jewish hate crime than Mamdani, and
- 21:40Speaker 3: she just keeps putting her arm around him and embracing him. Hey,
- 21:44Speaker 3: remember we told you yesterday, Prince Charles, King Charles, you've
- 21:48Speaker 3: got to remember, King Charles can't stand Harry and Meghan.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Harry's his son, that's a little different, but obviously he
- 21:56Speaker 3: hates this Meghan. And as long as Harry is married
- 21:59Speaker 3: to this creepy little Meghan Markle, the king is going
- 22:02Speaker 3: to treat them like crap. So as we explained yesterday,
- 22:05Speaker 3: he put out a letter to every inch of the
- 22:09Speaker 3: British government, to everybody. And they made sure to leak
- 22:12Speaker 3: it out to the press. It went to everybody, this
- 22:14Speaker 3: letter from King Charles stating that Harry and Meghan have
- 22:19Speaker 3: nothing to do with the royal family. They have no
- 22:22Speaker 3: connection to the royal family. They are not in any
- 22:27Speaker 3: way part of the royal family, that anything they do, commercial, charitable,
- 22:31Speaker 3: they're doing it as private citizens. It's basically, uh, whispering
- 22:37Speaker 3: to everybody don't do anything for these people don't give
- 22:40Speaker 3: them any work don't do anything stay the hell away
- 22:42Speaker 3: from them they're not we have no connection with them
- 22:46Speaker 3: but the reaction well so far there hasn't been any
- 22:49Speaker 3: reaction except the spokesman for them said they were a
- 22:55Speaker 3: little surprised to have not been told about this well
- 23:00Speaker 3: you see that's another thing that makes it sound even
- 23:03Speaker 3: worse if their father King Charles's father And her father-in-law,
- 23:07Speaker 3: he'd said to them, or had somebody explain to him, listen,
- 23:09Speaker 3: we're going to put out this letter. We just want
- 23:11Speaker 3: to let you know. So it was not even that courtesy.
- 23:13Speaker 3: None of that. They were caught off guard by it.
- 23:17Speaker 3: The couple's team received the letter, which was pretty bad,
- 23:22Speaker 3: just shy of 2 p.m.
- 23:23Speaker 4: U.K. time.
- 23:25Speaker 3: It was sent to Harry and Meghan Markle's team, to
- 23:29Speaker 3: every inch of U.S. government, to the military, to the
- 23:32Speaker 3: Lord Lieutenants. And they made sure to leak it out
- 23:35Speaker 3: to the press, really, really trying to shut down these
- 23:39Speaker 3: two and make sure nobody gives them anything or any courtesy.
- 23:43Speaker 3: So they couldn't get anything going in the United States.
- 23:46Speaker 3: They couldn't find any work, anything. So they left and
- 23:49Speaker 3: went back to England. They expect them to pick up
- 23:52Speaker 3: and leave in a few months after nothing happens. Probably
- 23:55Speaker 3: wait till the end of the school year. They got kids.
- 23:57Speaker 3: And then when is that? In May, June, November. All
- 24:02Speaker 3: you other countries in the world, beware. You might get
- 24:04Speaker 3: stuck with these two idiots. Hey, we've got a lot
- 24:07Speaker 3: more to get to. Don't go away. Never forget, three
- 24:09Speaker 3: hours every day, 9 to noon. 9 to noon right
- 24:13Speaker 3: here on 710WOR.
- 24:16Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simone Show. Live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Well, hey, we'll take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 24:24Speaker 11: 800-321-0710.
- 24:31Speaker 4: 0-7-10.
- 24:31Speaker 3: I remember I told you the Carnegie Deli is coming back.
- 24:35Speaker 3: The Carnegie Deli being built as we speak. It will
- 24:39Speaker 3: not be in its original location. There's some store there
- 24:42Speaker 3: that's taken the lease. But it will reopen down the
- 24:46Speaker 3: street about a block away in what was the Stage Deli,
- 24:51Speaker 3: their arch rival for decades. But so the Carnegie would
- 24:54Speaker 3: be where the Stage Deli was. And here's the latest news.
- 24:57Speaker 3: It will reopen next week. By the end of next week,
- 25:00Speaker 3: it should be open. So a week from today or tomorrow,
- 25:03Speaker 3: Carnegie Deli will be back. There'll be no reservations. It's
- 25:06Speaker 3: just first come, first serve. There'll be 100 seats in there.
- 25:11Speaker 3: The space for the stage is not as big as
- 25:13Speaker 3: the old Carnegie Deli space, but it'll reopen next week. Also,
- 25:21Speaker 3: check out my Instagram. There's a lot of stuff up there.
- 25:24Speaker 3: MarkSimoneNYC at Instagram. MarkSimoneNYC at Instagram. and make sure you
- 25:31Speaker 3: follow me there. So Iran, listen, I'm looking at the
- 25:37Speaker 3: oil prices here. I'm just checking the price of oil. Now, see,
- 25:39Speaker 3: it's up again. It's up $ 2 today. It's getting high.
- 25:44Speaker 3: It's starting to spike. Price of oil, $ 95 a barrel.
- 25:49Speaker 3: It's going to hit $ 96 in a second, $ 96 a barrel.
- 25:52Speaker 3: That's high. Brent crude, which is the European stuff, we
- 25:56Speaker 3: don't use Brent crude, but Brent crude is at $ 100
- 25:58Speaker 3: a barrel. All right, this is getting high. Now, what
- 26:01Speaker 3: is the reason for this sudden spike? Well, the Strait
- 26:05Speaker 3: of Hormuz has been open for a couple of months now,
- 26:07Speaker 3: and oil is moving through there. Tankers are moving through there.
- 26:11Speaker 3: The government's saying they were moving 9 million barrels a
- 26:14Speaker 3: day and sometimes 15 million barrels a day. Well, a
- 26:18Speaker 3: lot of people now are getting reports that that number
- 26:20Speaker 3: is greatly exaggerated, that they're not actually moving that much
- 26:25Speaker 3: oil through there. That's hard to believe. A government would lie.
- 26:30Speaker 3: It's hard to believe a Trump administration would exaggerate anything,
- 26:34Speaker 3: but word is coming out that we're not actually moving
- 26:38Speaker 3: that much oil through there. So that's the reason for
- 26:40Speaker 3: the spike today. Hey, let's take some calls. 800-321-0710 is
- 26:43Speaker 3: the number. Let's go to Sal in Eastchester. Sal, how
- 26:49Speaker 3: you doing?
- 26:51Speaker 12: Good morning, Mark. Regarding the affordability prices, it's It's the taxes,
- 26:58Speaker 12: the property taxes, the school taxes that are causing the
- 27:02Speaker 12: problems with people being unable to afford a home. My payment.
- 27:06Speaker 3: No, I understand. We've been saying that for weeks. The
- 27:10Speaker 3: number one expense that people pay is taxes. They pay
- 27:13Speaker 3: now more in taxes than they pay in food, in energy.
- 27:17Speaker 3: That's the you're right. And the president, hopefully he'll get
- 27:20Speaker 3: that into the message. The problem with the Republicans right now,
- 27:23Speaker 3: they don't have the messaging solid enough. but affordability crisis
- 27:27Speaker 3: is a big issue. Instead of saying there is no
- 27:29Speaker 3: affordability crisis, point that out, that the number one expense
- 27:34Speaker 3: for most people now is taxes. It's above food costs.
- 27:38Speaker 3: It's above energy costs. Taxes are the number one expense,
- 27:42Speaker 3: and that should be the message, that you don't want
- 27:44Speaker 3: to vote in a party that's going to increase these taxes.
- 27:47Speaker 3: You don't want to vote in a party that's going
- 27:50Speaker 3: to create these taxes. Now, The other thing they should
- 27:53Speaker 3: do is just announce huge tax cuts for everybody.
- 27:56Speaker 4: Everybody.
- 27:57Speaker 3: You can do it easily. Just stop wasting money if
- 28:00Speaker 3: you're the government. You don't need to bring in that
- 28:01Speaker 3: much money. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how
- 28:05Speaker 3: you doing?
- 28:06Speaker 12: Good morning, Mark.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Yes, Mike.
- 28:09Speaker 7: I think Mamdani releasing these files is clearly political. I mean,
- 28:13Speaker 7: it doesn't help that he takes a genius to figure
- 28:14Speaker 7: that part out of it.
- 28:16Speaker 12: But there's two quick things.
- 28:17Speaker 9: One.
- 28:18Speaker 12: I noticed that.
- 28:20Speaker 7: Governor Pataki announced that he was suffering some ailment related
- 28:24Speaker 7: to the Ground Zero stuff a week ago. So that
- 28:28Speaker 7: was interesting that they kind of coincided, the two announcements.
- 28:32Speaker 7: And the other thing is, and this isn't just a
- 28:34Speaker 7: platitude that Mandani should be reminded of, that none of
- 28:38Speaker 7: these files would be necessary or would exist if Muslim
- 28:41Speaker 7: terrorists didn't fly planes into the towers.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Well, that's true. Yeah, Pataki announcing that he's suffering from
- 28:48Speaker 3: some 9-11 illness, but maybe he knew the files were
- 28:52Speaker 3: coming out. Maybe he wanted to give them something.
- 28:54Speaker 7: That's what I think, yeah. I mean, I'm sure he
- 28:56Speaker 7: knew they existed, obviously. He was the governor.
- 28:59Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what? That's true. The Mamdani administration found
- 29:02Speaker 3: them buried in a basement at City Hall. But you're right.
- 29:07Speaker 3: They must have known.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:09Speaker 3: All right, Mike.
- 29:10Speaker 7: And it's clearly political, especially with guys like Stewart attached
- 29:14Speaker 7: to it, who... I could, you know, do without as
- 29:18Speaker 7: far as.
- 29:18Speaker 3: Well, he's okay on this. It's one good thing he's doing.
- 29:21Speaker 12: Yeah, on this issue.
- 29:23Speaker 3: All right, thanks for calling. Let's go to line two.
- 29:26Speaker 3: You're on the air. Line two, how you doing?
- 29:30Speaker 13: Hi, this is Tori.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Hey, Tori.
- 29:35Speaker 14: I'm calling for two things. One, I wanted to say that...
- 29:40Speaker 14: I don't understand where all the 9-11 money that was
- 29:43Speaker 14: collected for the victims went.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Well, hopefully it went to them.
- 29:49Speaker 12: Yes.
- 29:49Speaker 14: Well, that was my hope, too. But I know that
- 29:52Speaker 14: you were saying before, like, all the people that were
- 29:54Speaker 14: left behind. But I thought we tried to cover all them.
- 29:57Speaker 14: There's commercials all the time for that.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Well, that's that Tunnel to Towers Foundation. They do good work.
- 30:03Speaker 3: They provide homes and stuff for the 9-11 families.
- 30:08Speaker 12: Yes.
- 30:08Speaker 14: And the other thing I wanted to say, you were
- 30:10Speaker 14: asking why do we remember, like, do they really remember Hawaii?
- 30:14Speaker 14: And I went to a service once for the Holocaust.
- 30:18Speaker 14: I'm a minister. And on my way there, I was thinking,
- 30:21Speaker 14: why do we do that? And then I got there
- 30:24Speaker 14: and I realized why we do it. Because if we
- 30:26Speaker 14: don't remember the past, We're going to repeat the past.
- 30:31Speaker 14: All right.
- 30:33Speaker 3: That's a good point. Where are you a minister?
- 30:37Speaker 14: In Jackson, New Jersey.
- 30:38Speaker 12: Oh, all right.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Well, that's very good.
- 30:41Speaker 14: A great adventure.
- 30:42Speaker 1: All right.
- 30:42Speaker 3: Keep up the good work. Thanks for calling. One more.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Let's go to George in Port Jefferson. George, how are
- 30:48Speaker 3: you doing?
- 30:50Speaker 15: I'm great, Mark. Just to quote your opinion about Andrew Cuomo,
- 30:53Speaker 15: do you think he has any more political future here
- 30:56Speaker 15: in the United States?
- 30:57Speaker 3: No, no. He didn't have any political future two years ago.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Nobody told him. That run for mayor was about the
- 31:03Speaker 3: dumbest thing ever. He had absolutely no chance of winning.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Absolutely zero. He was the most hated guy in New York.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Could you imagine how delusional you have to be? He
- 31:16Speaker 3: had to leave his job in disgrace. He was governor.
- 31:19Speaker 3: He had to leave in disgrace. He fled Albany with
- 31:21Speaker 3: the police chasing him, and he thinks he can run again?
- 31:24Speaker 3: It was insane.
- 31:26Speaker 15: Can I ask one more question?
- 31:28Speaker 3: Okay, go ahead.
- 31:31Speaker 15: I know Kurt. I was a court clerk, so I
- 31:33Speaker 15: know Curtis Lee. I kind of like him. He's kind
- 31:36Speaker 15: of a chopbuster. But they really try to blame Kurt.
- 31:39Speaker 15: I'm just making a statement. They really try to blame
- 31:42Speaker 15: Curtis that Cuomo did.
- 31:44Speaker 3: Yeah, no, no. Curtis had nothing to do with it.
- 31:48Speaker 3: If Curtis had never run and he took every vote
- 31:50Speaker 3: he got and gave it to Cuomo, he still lost
- 31:52Speaker 3: and lost big.
- 31:53Speaker 15: They try to blame Curtis. That's all I want to say.
- 31:55Speaker 15: Thank you.
- 31:56Speaker 3: No, I understand. But if you're a guy like Cuomo,
- 31:58Speaker 3: you always blame somebody else. That's what guys like Cuomo do.
- 32:01Speaker 3: It's never their fault. Again, you can't leave in disgrace
- 32:06Speaker 3: the police are chasing him out of Albany. And then
- 32:10Speaker 3: try to run again. It's like Nixon, one year after Watergate,
- 32:13Speaker 3: trying to run again. You can't do it. Maybe if
- 32:16Speaker 3: you waited 10 years, maybe. And if you did something
- 32:19Speaker 3: wonderful in those 10 years and redeemed yourself, maybe you
- 32:23Speaker 3: could run again. But Cuomo, now I give him credit
- 32:25Speaker 3: for one thing. He knows what we've been telling you
- 32:29Speaker 3: all along. The big donors, when it comes to politics,
- 32:32Speaker 3: the big donors are always wrong. They don't know what
- 32:35Speaker 3: the hell they're doing. And he very carefully says, Before
- 32:39Speaker 3: this mayoral race, he went around cozying up to all
- 32:42Speaker 3: the big donors, lunches, dinners, becoming their best friend. He
- 32:46Speaker 3: got all the big donors behind him. They gave him
- 32:48Speaker 3: all this money. They're the ones that kept saying, Curtis
- 32:50Speaker 3: can't win. Curtis can't win. And again, always remember, the
- 32:54Speaker 3: big donors, when it comes to politics, are always wrong.
- 32:57Speaker 3: They always back the wrong guy. They always get it wrong.
- 33:02Speaker 3: They're all brilliant at their own business. They've made billions
- 33:05Speaker 3: in their own business. Not one of them has ever
- 33:08Speaker 3: made a penny giving political advice, and they stink at it. Hey,
- 33:12Speaker 3: we've got a lot more to get to, so don't
- 33:13Speaker 3: go away. Coming up at noon today, Buck and Clay.
- 33:17Speaker 3: They do a great show every day at 12 noon.
- 33:19Speaker 3: The most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity. And,
- 33:22Speaker 3: you know, at 9 o'clock, we've got the funniest... liveliest
- 33:26Speaker 3: show on radio it's jimmy fallon every night nine to
- 33:28Speaker 3: midnight on 7 10.
- 33:30Speaker 16: W o r mark simone mr new york now three
- 33:36Speaker 16: hours every weekday from nine till noon on 7 10
- 33:40Speaker 16: w o r.
- 33:41Speaker 3: Yeah we got two more hours to go if you
- 33:43Speaker 3: just tuned in you missed the first hour it's nine
- 33:46Speaker 3: to noon every day And we got a lot to
- 33:49Speaker 3: get to coming up right after the news. It's the
- 33:52Speaker 3: day after the day after Labor Day. Back after the
- 33:55Speaker 3: news on 710WOR. It's more of Mark.
- 33:59Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show.
- 34:01Speaker 8: On WOR.
- 34:09Speaker 3: Well, welcome to hour number two.
- 34:12Speaker 6: That's right.
- 34:12Speaker 3: Hour number two. You missed the first hour. It's nine
- 34:15Speaker 3: to noon every day. Nine to noon. every day here
- 34:19Speaker 3: on 710WOR. Lots to get to today. Hey, I forgot
- 34:25Speaker 3: to mention, today at 1.30 is the big Apple presentation.
- 34:33Speaker 3: They're going to unveil the new iPhone, the iPhone 18,
- 34:37Speaker 3: the 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and the, we don't know,
- 34:44Speaker 3: rumor is it's going to be called the iPhone Ultra.
- 34:47Speaker 3: It'll be the first foldable iPhone it'll open up in
- 34:51Speaker 3: other words it's the size of your iPhone but you
- 34:53Speaker 3: unfold it and then the two sides become one big
- 34:57Speaker 3: screen so at 1.30 today they'll unveil that they're going
- 35:02Speaker 3: to actually 1 o'clock 1 o'clock today 10 a.m. Pacific
- 35:06Speaker 3: 1 o'clock Tim Cook will not be there they got
- 35:09Speaker 3: this new chairman of the board he'll make the whole
- 35:12Speaker 3: presentation Tim Cook will make no appearance in this so
- 35:16Speaker 3: they're letting this guy shine Or also Tim Cook says,
- 35:20Speaker 3: let this guy take the blame if it doesn't go well.
- 35:22Speaker 3: The new iPhone 18 Pro models. They're going to be
- 35:26Speaker 3: a little more expensive. They're going to be a little
- 35:29Speaker 3: more expensive than you might think. Price increases. The parts
- 35:34Speaker 3: that they use, the prices, cost has gone up. What
- 35:38Speaker 3: are you going to get in the new iPhone? Well,
- 35:41Speaker 3: you'll get the biggest iPhone battery to date. Battery life
- 35:45Speaker 3: will go up to 39 hours. 39 hours, so you
- 35:50Speaker 3: should see a big difference in the battery life. You
- 35:53Speaker 3: know that little black oval at the top of your
- 35:56Speaker 3: phone where they put the camera and everything in there?
- 35:59Speaker 3: They call that the dynamic island. It'll get much smaller,
- 36:02Speaker 3: so you get more screen. Quality of the display will
- 36:06Speaker 3: be upgraded. The camera will be vastly improved. It's already
- 36:10Speaker 3: a phenomenal camera. You know, they test the iPhone 17
- 36:13Speaker 3: camera against Nikon cameras, against Canons, and it holds its own,
- 36:18Speaker 3: so It'll be phenomenal, the new camera. The big featured
- 36:22Speaker 3: color will be a dark cherry iPhone. But that's coming
- 36:28Speaker 3: out today. Now, the foldable one is going to get
- 36:31Speaker 3: all the attention. There are already foldable Androids where you
- 36:35Speaker 3: unfold it and it becomes a big screen like the
- 36:37Speaker 3: size of a tablet. The problem is, if you turn
- 36:40Speaker 3: it this way or that way, you can see a little.
- 36:43Speaker 3: You can see the seam a little.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Apple.
- 36:45Speaker 3: was not going to make a foldable until they could
- 36:47Speaker 3: get rid of that scene completely. Supposedly, they've done it.
- 36:52Speaker 3: That's the word that today we're going to see, the
- 36:54Speaker 3: foldable iPhone. Now, let me just give you a little warning.
- 36:59Speaker 3: It's a great gimmick. It unfolds. You get a big screen.
- 37:03Speaker 3: But real experts on all this are saying stick with
- 37:06Speaker 3: the regular iPhone. The problem is the one that unfolds,
- 37:11Speaker 3: they have to split the battery into two parts, one
- 37:14Speaker 3: on each side. And the battery life will not be
- 37:18Speaker 3: as long. The battery will not be as stable split
- 37:21Speaker 3: into both sides. A lot of stuff they had to
- 37:22Speaker 3: split into both sides. And each side is very thin
- 37:27Speaker 3: so that when it's folded together, it's not too thick.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Each side is very thin. So everything is less in it.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Less power, less speed, less everything in the foldable one.
- 37:38Speaker 3: The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to be absolutely
- 37:43Speaker 3: awesome unbelievable most dazzling phone ever made so you might
- 37:46Speaker 3: want to stick with the regular phone so one o'clock
- 37:49Speaker 3: today they'll make that presentation there's going to be a
- 37:51Speaker 3: new iWatch Apple Watch there's going to be new earbuds
- 37:56Speaker 3: and all of that stuff so that'll happen later today
- 38:00Speaker 3: Iran attacked early this morning attacked a base in Jordan
- 38:07Speaker 3: a US base we struck back we blew up and
- 38:11Speaker 3: destroyed 10 Iranian tankers. Remember we told you that every
- 38:15Speaker 3: time they hit us, we'd take out three, and that
- 38:18Speaker 3: number was going to go to 10? Well, this morning
- 38:20Speaker 3: they took out 10 Iranian oil tankers. Now, every time
- 38:24Speaker 3: you take out a tanker, it just crushes Iran economically,
- 38:30Speaker 3: because even if they had oil, they can't move it
- 38:33Speaker 3: without the tankers. So we've taken out almost 25 of
- 38:35Speaker 3: their tankers now, That's a lot less oil than they
- 38:40Speaker 3: can ever move. The commander of CENTCOM, Admiral Cooper, has
- 38:44Speaker 3: what they call preemptive authority, which means he doesn't have
- 38:49Speaker 3: to get authority from anybody. He can act immediately. If
- 38:52Speaker 3: Iran fires at us, hits anything of ours, he can
- 38:54Speaker 3: take out whatever he wants. And CENTCOM announced... Now, Iran
- 38:59Speaker 3: is putting out a statement that they hit two U.S.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Navy destroyers. CENTCOM releasing... this, that that's absolutely false. Nothing
- 39:10Speaker 3: has been struck. No Navy warship has been hit by Iran,
- 39:15Speaker 3: that it's absolutely false. So that's good news. The Iran war,
- 39:19Speaker 3: it's going to be an issue. It's not a big
- 39:22Speaker 3: issue with voters right now. Price of gas will be
- 39:25Speaker 3: an issue. And that is spiking a little because as
- 39:27Speaker 3: we told you last hour, word is, the administration has
- 39:31Speaker 3: been exaggerating how much oil they got flowing through the
- 39:35Speaker 3: Strait of Hormuz they were claiming 9 million barrels every
- 39:37Speaker 3: day up to 15 million gallons well actually it looks
- 39:44Speaker 3: like that number is greatly it's believed that they're exaggerating
- 39:47Speaker 3: that number And it's not that big. So that's caused
- 39:50Speaker 3: that little spike. This guy works for Anthropic, the big
- 39:54Speaker 3: AI company. He's a researcher and he quit. And this
- 39:59Speaker 3: is going viral right now. The guy quit and he
- 40:01Speaker 3: put out this warning that AI is going to kill
- 40:04Speaker 3: us all. And people on his team agree that AI
- 40:08Speaker 3: is going to kill us all. I don't know. Everybody's panicking.
- 40:12Speaker 3: It's going super viral. He says, do not underestimate the
- 40:17Speaker 3: power of this technology. There will soon be superhuman systems
- 40:21Speaker 3: that can hack anything, revolutionize any field overnight, acquire real
- 40:27Speaker 3: power and resources.
- 40:28Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 40:30Speaker 3: AI going to kill us all? You know, back when
- 40:34Speaker 3: the internet was taken over in 2000, 99, 2000, you
- 40:38Speaker 3: got a lot of these warnings it was going to
- 40:40Speaker 3: destroy anything and everything. You get this all the time.
- 40:44Speaker 3: As Steve Forbes pointed out to us, and this is fascinating,
- 40:47Speaker 3: when electricity was invented hundreds of years ago, when electricity
- 40:51Speaker 3: was invented, everybody went into panic thinking this electricity, this
- 40:56Speaker 3: new thing called electricity, would kill us all, that it
- 40:59Speaker 3: would create monsters. And the panic was so widespread, that's
- 41:04Speaker 3: why this woman wrote a book, a novel, and called
- 41:08Speaker 3: it Frankenstein. It was about electricity creating a monster that
- 41:12Speaker 3: would kill us all. So this kind of panic has
- 41:15Speaker 3: been around anytime anything is invented. Hey, that guy running
- 41:20Speaker 3: in Michigan, that El Sayad, you know, there's more and
- 41:22Speaker 3: more video of him coming out. There's one now from
- 41:26Speaker 3: five years ago. It was the anniversary of 9-11. This
- 41:31Speaker 3: is back in 2021, five years ago. They found this
- 41:35Speaker 3: video of El Sayad saying that we were wrong in 9-11.
- 41:40Speaker 3: That when we were attacked, we went crazy. We wasted
- 41:43Speaker 3: trillions of dollars. We waged a war that we would
- 41:46Speaker 3: always lose. We created an era of death, destruction, and destitution.
- 41:51Speaker 3: He blamed the U.S. when it comes to 9-11 for
- 41:55Speaker 3: creating this death, destruction, and destitution. That's coming out. There'll
- 41:59Speaker 3: be more coming out on El Sayyad. Videos, past comments,
- 42:03Speaker 3: past statements as he tries running in Michigan against Mike Rogers.
- 42:08Speaker 3: So it'll probably, they call that an October surprise in October.
- 42:13Speaker 3: They'll release all kinds of crap on this guy. You know,
- 42:16Speaker 3: the Smithsonian Institute, Washington, D.C. 's great museum, the great
- 42:21Speaker 3: American museum, the Smithsonian Institute, so prestigious. I don't know
- 42:26Speaker 3: if you've been there or followed it for the last
- 42:29Speaker 3: 10 years. Started in the Obama era, but ever since
- 42:32Speaker 3: it's gone totally woke. It's a woke museum. that presents
- 42:38Speaker 3: a very negative view of America through its history. All
- 42:41Speaker 3: the negative stuff about America is in there. Getting rid
- 42:45Speaker 3: of all the positive stuff. It just went woke. I mean,
- 42:48Speaker 3: these crazy left-wingers took it over. Led by the head
- 42:53Speaker 3: of the Smithsonian Institute, Lonnie Bunch. He was put in there,
- 42:58Speaker 3: I think, by Obama. He's been removed. Finally, the Trump
- 43:01Speaker 3: administration has got this guy removed. He's been clashing with them.
- 43:05Speaker 3: They've been fighting with him. To get the museum back
- 43:08Speaker 3: to normal. Not this woke anti-American museum. So he's out.
- 43:13Speaker 3: He's gone. That's good news. He resigned yesterday. Thank goodness.
- 43:19Speaker 3: The Lindsay Clancy case. Now there was one juror that
- 43:23Speaker 3: held out. He was the one guy. She would have
- 43:27Speaker 3: had a total acquittal and been done with this. But
- 43:30Speaker 3: this one juror. He said he had reasonable doubt. Jurors
- 43:36Speaker 3: are starting to do television interviews.
- 43:37Speaker 17: He admitted he had reasonable doubt, and I started filling
- 43:41Speaker 17: out the forms.
- 43:42Speaker 1: I was so excited.
- 43:44Speaker 17: There were three forms I had to fill out, and
- 43:47Speaker 17: I started filling them out. I wrote my signature on
- 43:50Speaker 17: each one, and then he said, but I'm still not
- 43:54Speaker 17: going to say that she's not guilty by reason of insanity.
- 43:57Speaker 3: Now, you've got to remember, this is New Hampshire, Massachusetts.
- 44:00Speaker 3: That's how they talk. She started filling out the forms.
- 44:04Speaker 3: She started to fill out the forms, but this juror
- 44:08Speaker 3: just reasonable doubt. They kept trying to explain things to him.
- 44:11Speaker 18: We read to him on numerous occasions the definition of
- 44:14Speaker 18: a reasonable doubt from Judge Sullivan's instruction. He actually said
- 44:20Speaker 18: one day in the end, why don't we have the
- 44:22Speaker 18: judge come in and read it again? And we were like, no,
- 44:25Speaker 18: we have it in front of us. We don't need that.
- 44:30Speaker 18: And we would highlight it. And, you know, so-and-so, this
- 44:34Speaker 18: is the definition of reasonable. But he had the hardest
- 44:38Speaker 18: time getting off the fact that Lindsay viciously killed her children.
- 44:42Speaker 3: Now, that's what an angry New Englander sounds like. They
- 44:45Speaker 3: don't yell. If this was Long Island, you'd hear screaming
- 44:48Speaker 3: and yelling. But she started filling out the forms. They
- 44:53Speaker 3: just don't get too mad. They're very polite people. So
- 44:57Speaker 3: this lawyer, they got just the right lawyer for this case.
- 45:01Speaker 3: He looks very old and he's got the glasses on.
- 45:04Speaker 3: He looks like a professor. He looks like a kind
- 45:07Speaker 3: old guy.
- 45:07Speaker 4: What's his name?
- 45:08Speaker 3: Reddington?
- 45:09Speaker 19: I hope, however, after sitting through this trial and seeing
- 45:12Speaker 19: the evidence that was presented from the government as well
- 45:16Speaker 19: as from the defense, that he would revisit that issue
- 45:19Speaker 19: and hopefully would be able to work something out that
- 45:21Speaker 19: would be acceptable to both sides.
- 45:25Speaker 3: You know, the thing is with this Lindsay Clancy, I
- 45:29Speaker 3: guess there's two sides to this case. But she did kill,
- 45:34Speaker 3: murder her children. Could you imagine such a thing? Now, she's,
- 45:38Speaker 3: you know, arguing there was trauma, you know, what she
- 45:43Speaker 3: called psychotrauma, psychotic break. But she killed her three kids.
- 45:51Speaker 3: One is five years old. The daughter is five. One
- 45:55Speaker 3: is three. The baby was eight months. And she very
- 46:00Speaker 3: methodically killed them. So I can understand a lot of
- 46:05Speaker 3: people not having sympathy for this woman, no matter what
- 46:08Speaker 3: psychological problems she had, no matter what trauma, no matter
- 46:12Speaker 3: what voices. She kept saying she heard voices in her head.
- 46:14Speaker 3: No matter what voices. We've had a lot of lunatic nutjobs.
- 46:18Speaker 3: We just saw one here in New York the other
- 46:20Speaker 3: day who picked up two knives and went stabbing people.
- 46:23Speaker 3: But killing your own children, murdering, carefully murdering your three children.
- 46:28Speaker 3: A lot of people are not going to have any
- 46:29Speaker 3: sympathy for you. I can understand that. Pete Hegseth is
- 46:33Speaker 3: one of them. He was speaking out. So apparently, on
- 46:36Speaker 3: The View, Whoopi Goldberg is a big defender of Lindsay Clancy.
- 46:43Speaker 3: And Whoopi Goldberg said, you Clancy haters, you haters, you
- 46:47Speaker 3: sound like Pete Hegseth. Now, what the hell does that mean?
- 46:50Speaker 3: How do you tie all this into Pete Hegseth that, uh,
- 46:54Speaker 3: She said, he's arguing that a woman should not serve
- 46:58Speaker 3: in combat. Well, that's a whole different thing. He could
- 47:01Speaker 3: logically make the case that maybe women in the Army
- 47:05Speaker 3: shouldn't be in actual combat. You know, if you're an
- 47:09Speaker 3: old-fashioned guy, I could see where you'd think that. So
- 47:12Speaker 3: to compare that to Lindsay Clancy, a little ridiculous. Hey,
- 47:17Speaker 3: speaking of ridiculous, you know, Billy Baldwin, every one of
- 47:19Speaker 3: these Baldwin brothers, they all got a screw loose. They're
- 47:22Speaker 3: not as bad as Alec. This Alec is a complete
- 47:25Speaker 3: ranging maniac, Alec Baldwin. But Billy Baldwin's on this podcast
- 47:30Speaker 3: and he's telling these stories about movies. You know, he
- 47:32Speaker 3: was in a movie with Sharon Stone. Anyway, he said
- 47:35Speaker 3: she was a nightmare. She was an absolute nightmare to
- 47:38Speaker 3: work with. There was unbelievable tension on the set. He said,
- 47:42Speaker 3: we got along pretty well first couple of weeks. Then
- 47:45Speaker 3: she wouldn't say hello or goodbye for the next three months.
- 47:49Speaker 4: So what? Who cares?
- 47:51Speaker 3: She wouldn't say goodbye. They got to the point, they're
- 47:57Speaker 3: starring in the movie together, and at the end there's
- 47:58Speaker 3: a big love scene where they have to do it.
- 48:00Speaker 3: So apparently he scheduled a meeting with the producers. And
- 48:05Speaker 3: he explained to them he can't film the last scene.
- 48:08Speaker 3: He can't do the love scene with her. He said,
- 48:13Speaker 3: I can't do the scene. Just please, please don't make
- 48:17Speaker 3: me kiss her. I can't kiss her. Now they must
- 48:22Speaker 3: have thought, this guy... It's got to be the biggest
- 48:25Speaker 3: lunatic in the world. You hate her guts. It's Sharon Stone.
- 48:29Speaker 3: You can't kiss Sharon Stone. Just please, I can't. You know,
- 48:34Speaker 3: there's people digging ditches for a living 12 hours a day.
- 48:38Speaker 3: You see those window washers hanging off the side of
- 48:41Speaker 3: a building 50 stories up? That's a tough job. Can
- 48:45Speaker 3: you imagine telling somebody, you don't know what I went
- 48:48Speaker 3: through at work. They wanted me to kiss Sharon Stone.
- 48:52Speaker 3: You're getting like 18 million for this movie. I'd kiss
- 48:57Speaker 3: Madeleine Albright for 18 million bucks. Who couldn't do this scene?
- 49:03Speaker 3: Baldwin said that's why if you watch the scene at
- 49:05Speaker 3: the end, he kind of pushes her up against the
- 49:08Speaker 3: post there and looks at her, but they don't really kiss.
- 49:11Speaker 3: What a lunatic this guy is. Hey, we'll take some
- 49:13Speaker 3: calls next. 800-321-0710 is the number. 800-321-0710. Now, much more Mark.
- 49:17Speaker 3: Mark Simone. Now, 9 till noon weekdays.
- 49:20Speaker 4: On 710WOR.
- 49:21Speaker 3: Well, let's take some calls. Let's go to Joe in Hoboken.
- 49:27Speaker 1: Joe, how are you doing?
- 49:42Speaker 12: Good morning, Mark.
- 49:42Speaker 9: I am good.
- 49:44Speaker 20: Over the weekend, I was reading about the DSA since
- 49:49Speaker 20: 2019 added 250 candidates. And they're looking to add 40
- 49:56Speaker 20: more in the midterms. This is concerning. I mean, like,
- 50:01Speaker 20: bring me back Al Gore, like, who only wanted to
- 50:03Speaker 20: get rid of a combustion engine. I mean, that was
- 50:07Speaker 20: a wacko then, but he looks like a Republican compared
- 50:10Speaker 20: to these idiots now. Are you concerned as much as me?
- 50:15Speaker 3: Well, you got to be concerned, but you got to
- 50:17Speaker 3: assume it's just a bad cycle that they're going through.
- 50:20Speaker 3: You got to remember the Democrats after Jimmy Carter went
- 50:23Speaker 3: way to the left and lost every race. And then
- 50:28Speaker 3: Bill Clinton emerged out of nowhere. This unknown governor rose
- 50:32Speaker 3: up and led them back to the center. So Everybody
- 50:35Speaker 3: keeps waiting for something like that to happen. 2028 is
- 50:39Speaker 3: still two years away. And you never know, some governor,
- 50:43Speaker 3: somebody might just, a Fetterman maybe, although he'd have to
- 50:47Speaker 3: put on a suit. I don't think he's going to
- 50:49Speaker 3: do that. But somebody might just rise up and lead
- 50:51Speaker 3: them back to the center. They got to lose some elections.
- 50:54Speaker 3: If they lose the midterms, which is very unusual, president
- 50:58Speaker 3: two years in always loses the midterms. If Trump pulls
- 51:01Speaker 3: this off and the Republicans, Republicans win. Democrats get wiped out.
- 51:06Speaker 3: They might wise up and start getting rid of these
- 51:09Speaker 3: crazy lunatics in their party. Let's go to Cheryl in Farmingdale. Cheryl,
- 51:13Speaker 3: how you doing?
- 51:15Speaker 17: Good.
- 51:15Speaker 11: How are you?
- 51:16Speaker 3: Let me check. Not bad.
- 51:19Speaker 20: Thanks.
- 51:19Speaker 13: I really enjoy your show every morning.
- 51:21Speaker 3: Well, thank you.
- 51:23Speaker 13: I have a question about the Clancy situation.
- 51:27Speaker 12: Yes.
- 51:28Speaker 13: Why was he allowed in the basement before the law
- 51:31Speaker 13: enforcement officers got there? They were like waiting outside because
- 51:36Speaker 13: it states in the testimony that the police saw him
- 51:42Speaker 13: down in the basement.
- 51:43Speaker 7: Who?
- 51:43Speaker 11: I don't understand that.
- 51:44Speaker 20: Who are we talking about?
- 51:46Speaker 13: Patrick Clancy.
- 51:47Speaker 3: Oh, I got to be honest. I don't follow this
- 51:50Speaker 3: too closely. Who's Patrick Clancy?
- 51:53Speaker 13: Lindsay Clancy, the three kids that were murdered.
- 51:56Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 51:58Speaker 14: You were just talking about it.
- 51:59Speaker 3: Who's Patrick Clancy?
- 52:01Speaker 12: The husband.
- 52:02Speaker 3: Oh, okay. So the husband was there. And he went
- 52:04Speaker 3: down in the basement.
- 52:05Speaker 13: Yeah, but he went in the basement before the police.
- 52:09Speaker 13: That's not protocol.
- 52:11Speaker 3: Well, I guess he got there first. We'll have the
- 52:16Speaker 3: expert on in a minute. We'll ask him, but go ahead.
- 52:20Speaker 13: My other question is, Lindsay was a nurse. So if
- 52:24Speaker 13: she was trying to commit suicide, why didn't she hit
- 52:28Speaker 13: the main vein in her wrist?
- 52:29Speaker 3: Well, there's some people that argue, to get sympathy in
- 52:32Speaker 3: all this, she was so bad she tried to kill herself.
- 52:35Speaker 3: But a lot of people point out she's a nurse.
- 52:37Speaker 3: She would know which vein, where to hit, and she
- 52:40Speaker 3: didn't do this.
- 52:40Speaker 12: Exactly.
- 52:41Speaker 3: They think it was a fake attempt to kill herself.
- 52:43Speaker 13: My theory is that he made it look like she
- 52:48Speaker 13: attempted the suicide. He killed the kids, but he didn't
- 52:51Speaker 13: kill her. Because then he would be the number one
- 52:54Speaker 13: prime suspect.
- 52:56Speaker 3: Oh, that's a brilliant theory. I think you've been watching
- 52:58Speaker 3: too many soap operas here. I don't know.
- 53:02Speaker 13: Don't make fun of me.
- 53:03Speaker 3: Wouldn't somebody brought that up?
- 53:07Speaker 13: But really, I mean, then all of a sudden, four
- 53:10Speaker 13: months after his children are murdered, he moves to New
- 53:13Speaker 13: York City.
- 53:15Speaker 3: Now, let me ask you a better question, because I
- 53:17Speaker 3: know a lot of people in Long Island, especially women
- 53:19Speaker 3: in Long Island, they've become obsessed with this case. Why
- 53:21Speaker 3: did they get so obsessed with this case?
- 53:25Speaker 13: It's not that we're obsessed. It's just that when you
- 53:28Speaker 13: watch the testimony, everything is Patrick said. Patrick said. Even
- 53:33Speaker 13: the detectives, when they put them on the stand, they
- 53:37Speaker 13: couldn't say they were first eyewitnesses. of the powder on
- 53:42Speaker 13: the glass. He said because Patrick said the powder was
- 53:47Speaker 13: by the glass. Nothing came from.
- 53:49Speaker 3: If I hear about this Patrick one more time....
- 53:54Speaker 13: Well, you opened it up.
- 53:55Speaker 1: No, I understand.
- 53:57Speaker 3: But I just don't know that much about the case.
- 53:58Speaker 3: But you know, Howie Carr, nobody knows this case more.
- 54:01Speaker 3: He's been covering this like we're going to talk to
- 54:03Speaker 3: him in a minute. I'm going to ask him all
- 54:05Speaker 3: your questions.
- 54:06Speaker 12: Okay.
- 54:08Speaker 3: Cheryl, what do you do in Farmingdale?
- 54:11Speaker 11: I'm retired.
- 54:12Speaker 3: No wonder you're still in your pajamas. It's like 1030 already.
- 54:18Speaker 12: Wise guy.
- 54:19Speaker 13: I do have to add that I get upset when
- 54:22Speaker 13: you have guest hosts because your voice is so soothing
- 54:27Speaker 13: and calming to me when I wake up and listen
- 54:29Speaker 13: to you for three hours.
- 54:30Speaker 3: Apparently it's not working because you're sitting there obsessed with
- 54:32Speaker 3: murder trials. You don't sound that calm about this.
- 54:35Speaker 13: I'm not obsessed.
- 54:37Speaker 9: You're a little obsessed.
- 54:38Speaker 13: I'm just giving you my theory.
- 54:39Speaker 2: Okay.
- 54:39Speaker 13: You know, everybody has an opinion.
- 54:42Speaker 3: All right. All right. All right. Well, I got to
- 54:43Speaker 3: take a day off now and then. You don't expect
- 54:45Speaker 3: me to work every day, do you?
- 54:47Speaker 13: Well, what about your listeners?
- 54:51Speaker 11: What about your followers?
- 54:52Speaker 3: Well, when you were working, did you ever get vacation days?
- 54:55Speaker 2: Yes.
- 54:56Speaker 3: Well, what about your job? What about the people you
- 54:58Speaker 3: work with? Why do you take these vacation days?
- 55:00Speaker 13: Yeah, but I didn't have millions of people listening in
- 55:04Speaker 13: to my daily, you know, Monday through Friday.
- 55:06Speaker 12: Like you do.
- 55:07Speaker 3: I've got to take a day off now.
- 55:08Speaker 13: I'm giving you a compliment.
- 55:10Speaker 3: I know. I thank you.
- 55:11Speaker 17: All right.
- 55:11Speaker 3: Well, you're a very good listener. We appreciate you. Thanks
- 55:14Speaker 3: for calling, Cheryl. Take care. Let's go to Rich in
- 55:18Speaker 3: New Jersey. Rich, how are you doing?
- 55:21Speaker 2: All right, Mark.
- 55:22Speaker 12: Hey, Mark, if AI is going to kill us, and
- 55:26Speaker 12: it's so smart, why doesn't it tell us when?
- 55:31Speaker 3: Tell us what? Why doesn't it tell us when it's
- 55:35Speaker 3: going to kill us? All right, I know. We'll get
- 55:38Speaker 3: back to that story. These people think AI is going to...
- 55:41Speaker 3: You know, there's one way to stop AI. Pull the
- 55:44Speaker 3: plug out. Just shut it off. Hey, when we come back,
- 55:48Speaker 3: Howie Carr knows this Lindsay Clancy stuff better than anybody.
- 55:51Speaker 3: We'll talk to him next on 710WOR.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Mark Simone, live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 56:02Speaker 3: Well, Howie Carr is one of the great talk show
- 56:04Speaker 3: hosts in America. Also a best-selling author. His latest book
- 56:07Speaker 3: coming out, Mass Corruption 2. His radio show, his podcast
- 56:12Speaker 3: on iHeart. And you can get everything at HowieCarrShow.com. Just
- 56:16Speaker 3: go to his website, HowieCarrShow.com. Howie Carr, how are you doing?
- 56:21Speaker 4: Very good. Very good.
- 56:23Speaker 6: Now, tonight, Mark, the president is scheduled to speak at 8.15.
- 56:28Speaker 4: Kickoff.
- 56:31Speaker 6: Between the Superbowl rematch, the start of the NFL season
- 56:35Speaker 6: is eight 20, which will you be watching?
- 56:39Speaker 3: Well, you know, I, uh, shouldn't somebody be getting yelled
- 56:43Speaker 3: at on the planning team that they scheduled NFL schedule
- 56:46Speaker 3: come out way in advance. Don't they know?
- 56:49Speaker 6: Well, I mean, the Wednesday night game was kind of
- 56:52Speaker 6: a surprise, but you're right. They, the advanced team is
- 56:54Speaker 6: supposed to know stuff like that, that, that most people don't,
- 56:57Speaker 6: don't notice until the actual day of the game.
- 57:00Speaker 12: Right.
- 57:01Speaker 4: Yeah, someone made a mistake, I think.
- 57:04Speaker 3: Should I skip both of them just to watch the
- 57:06Speaker 3: Rhode Island primary tonight?
- 57:12Speaker 6: Yeah, they're trying to gin that up, but it's not.
- 57:15Speaker 6: It's kind of a non-starter. I don't think there's much
- 57:18Speaker 6: going on there.
- 57:19Speaker 3: You know, they asked him, why are you doing the
- 57:21Speaker 3: only Wednesday night primary? They said, well, it was Labor Day.
- 57:23Speaker 3: You can't do it the day after Labor Day. Don't
- 57:26Speaker 3: every other state do that?
- 57:27Speaker 4: Why not?
- 57:28Speaker 3: New Hampshire just did it.
- 57:29Speaker 4: Did New Hampshire just did it?
- 57:31Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 57:31Speaker 4: And, uh, yeah, we did it.
- 57:33Speaker 6: Massachusetts did it September 1st. I mean, that was kind
- 57:35Speaker 6: of a new thing, but you know, it's not, it's
- 57:37Speaker 6: not a big deal. I, it's just, it's just a lot.
- 57:40Speaker 4: I don't, I don't know.
- 57:42Speaker 6: It's, um, it's, it's pretty interesting that, uh, you know, uh, John,
- 57:47Speaker 6: I gotta go make it. I'm not on the air today.
- 57:49Speaker 6: I gotta make a, uh, I gotta go on to
- 57:51Speaker 6: an event at New Hampshire. Uh, John Sununu is, uh,
- 57:53Speaker 6: you know, he's going to be the nominee against Chris
- 57:55Speaker 6: Pappas for the Senate seat. And he's bringing up Tom Cotton,
- 57:59Speaker 6: who's the.
- 58:00Speaker 4: Great senator from Arkansas.
- 58:04Speaker 6: He's the one who was denounced by the New York
- 58:09Speaker 6: Times and the Washington Post for pushing debunked theories about COVID.
- 58:13Speaker 6: And then they had to issue corrections later on. Corrections,
- 58:19Speaker 6: those debunked theories. Turns out they're not so debunked anymore.
- 58:23Speaker 12: You know?
- 58:24Speaker 3: This Republican convention, midterm convention, a brilliant idea. But you're right.
- 58:28Speaker 3: Wrong scheduling. And let's say they put on great speeches.
- 58:32Speaker 3: The president's unbelievable. Who's going to see it? Where is
- 58:35Speaker 3: it going to run? Nobody will see it.
- 58:37Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 58:37Speaker 6: I mean, it's going to be on Fox. But that's
- 58:41Speaker 6: preaching to the converted.
- 58:42Speaker 9: Right.
- 58:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 58:43Speaker 3: That's not going to help. They already got the Fox voters.
- 58:46Speaker 4: So, yeah.
- 58:47Speaker 6: And, you know, the thing is, I asked, we've had
- 58:51Speaker 6: some guy on the show yesterday, one of the quote-unquote delegates.
- 58:55Speaker 4: And I said, who's down there from Massachusetts?
- 58:58Speaker 6: And he named the national committee man and woman, the
- 59:02Speaker 6: state party chairman. I said, are there any elected officials
- 59:05Speaker 6: down there? Not that there are many in Massachusetts that
- 59:07Speaker 6: are Republican. He said, no, no one's down. there i
- 59:10Speaker 6: mean who who is going to be.
- 59:11Speaker 3: Down there yeah and you know they're selling tickets if
- 59:15Speaker 3: you want to go down there even for the delegate
- 59:17Speaker 3: you got to pay like seven thousand for a ticket
- 59:19Speaker 3: it's crazy yeah.
- 59:20Speaker 6: This guy this guy uh this delegate said he said
- 59:23Speaker 6: we have a mandatory meeting breakfast meeting tomorrow.
- 59:27Speaker 4: Jeez.
- 59:27Speaker 6: I haven't had a mandatory breakfast meeting since I, you know,
- 59:30Speaker 6: got out of prep.
- 59:30Speaker 4: School, you know?
- 59:33Speaker 3: Uh, Hey, Howie Carr. I, uh, I don't know why
- 59:35Speaker 3: I just, I don't follow this Lindsay Clancy stuff that closely.
- 59:38Speaker 3: I just, but what is it? There's a lot of
- 59:41Speaker 3: murders all the time. What is it that gripped so
- 59:43Speaker 3: many people about this case?
- 59:45Speaker 4: I think it's, I think it's live streaming.
- 59:48Speaker 6: You know, I've always been a proponent of, uh, televising, uh, trials,
- 59:53Speaker 6: just because I, you know, I used to cover, I
- 59:55Speaker 6: do cover a lot of stuff in federal courts, and
- 59:57Speaker 6: it's very, you know, irritating not to have that great
- 1:00:00Speaker 6: video and for the radio, audio. But, you know, it
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: seems like you know, it's, it's, it's getting out of control.
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: I mean, like this, uh, this guy, Kevin Reddington, he's, he's,
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: he's an old, old guy, but, uh, you know, he,
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: he just was, he's just playing for a clickbait and,
- 1:00:17Speaker 6: you know, just, I mean, just insult, he's insulting the jurors.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: He's insulting the judge.
- 1:00:24Speaker 6: And the, the, uh, the women, it was nine women
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: and three men that the women just really liked them.
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: They like, he was a, uh, you know, uh, you know,
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: their grandfather, something and uh and you know you know
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: it's uh i i just couldn't i couldn't believe the
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: judge didn't uh admonish him you know i mean you
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: know you don't just hit you know judges don't don't
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: just hit lawyers with contempt but they say uh you
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: know watch your uh language mr reddington or you know
- 1:00:51Speaker 6: you know i you could be held in contempt or
- 1:00:53Speaker 6: show a little respect for the court you know and
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: he he's just he's telling the guy that the judge
- 1:00:59Speaker 6: read the jury instructions and so reddington said.
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: You didn't do a good job.
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: He said, I read the instructions in the manual. He said,
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: but you didn't read it with enough authority. And the
- 1:01:11Speaker 6: judge said, what did you want, a brass band? I mean,
- 1:01:15Speaker 6: I don't know why the judge had to take that
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: crap from him. And it was just outrageous. And then
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: he goes out and he says, I crushed the DA.
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: And he's got to negotiate a plea bargain or something
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: with this district attorney.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: And, you know, why is he insulting him? I don't
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: get it. And he also said, you know, another thing,
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: you know, I've.
- 1:01:38Speaker 6: Obviously followed this pretty closely, Mark, but he said, you know,
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: Lindsay Clancy is like a daughter to me. And, you know,
- 1:01:47Speaker 6: doesn't that raise the question, well, aren't you angry then
- 1:01:50Speaker 6: that your daughter killed your three grandchildren?
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: So, but you know this case, you've covered it as
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: well as anybody. Should she get off? Shouldn't she be
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: in jail? What do you think?
- 1:02:01Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:02:02Speaker 6: I mean, this was, you know, they, the three of
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: the jurors were interviewed last night on the NBC affiliate
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: and the, the key takeaway, which they didn't, they didn't
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: show until they actually ran it in prime time. Uh,
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: one of the jury, one of the, one of the
- 1:02:16Speaker 6: female jurors said that this male juror, the holdout, I
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: think he should be, you know, man of the year myself.
- 1:02:21Speaker 6: And so do a lot of people, including women. But
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: she said he just couldn't get over the fact that
- 1:02:27Speaker 6: she had murdered her three children.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: And, And that's a problem. How?
- 1:02:33Speaker 6: You know, I mean, that's the thing Reddington was was
- 1:02:36Speaker 6: yelling about. He said he kept saying he's not following
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: the law. I mean, when when a jury gets a case,
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: the case belongs to the jury.
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: Right. I mean, you know, the the O.J.
- 1:02:48Speaker 6: Simpson case and a jury engaged in jury nullification. There
- 1:02:52Speaker 6: are all kinds of juries up in the Bronx when
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: they used to have the death penalty. you know, theoretically
- 1:02:57Speaker 6: in New York state that engaged in jury nullification, but,
- 1:03:00Speaker 6: but nobody ever wanted to throw them off the jury.
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: It's just, that's the, that's the price you pay. I mean,
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: we've had a, we've had the system for 600 years
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: in a, in Anglo American jurisprudence. You have to have
- 1:03:13Speaker 6: a unanimous verdict and, you know, almost every single criminal
- 1:03:17Speaker 6: case and certainly in capital cases. And, and, you know,
- 1:03:20Speaker 6: when he wants to throw this guy off the jury
- 1:03:22Speaker 6: because he, he won't agree with him, I mean, how
- 1:03:25Speaker 6: out of control are things getting?
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: Hey, we had some questions of listeners about the husband,
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: Patrick Clancy. Apparently he got there first. He went in
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: the basement before the police. What's the deal with this husband?
- 1:03:38Speaker 6: Well, you know, no one has accused him other than,
- 1:03:43Speaker 6: you know, internet trolls, these crazy people on TikTok. No
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: one's accused him of being involved in it. And she
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: has admitted that she.
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: Killed them but they're just saying that you know oh
- 1:03:57Speaker 6: he he was out he was out but you know
- 1:04:00Speaker 6: the thing is and we don't know and i and
- 1:04:02Speaker 6: actually he's on at least one surveillance camera he went
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: to the drug store the cvs to pick up some
- 1:04:09Speaker 6: prescription medication he also went picked up some food i
- 1:04:12Speaker 6: don't know if he's on the on the camera the
- 1:04:15Speaker 6: surveillance camera at the restaurant but he's on at cvs
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: and so you know people call in and i say
- 1:04:20Speaker 6: wait you think he you think patrick clancy killed him
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: What about the, uh, what about the surveillance camera and
- 1:04:27Speaker 6: the timestamps on? Oh, he, uh, he, he, uh, you know,
- 1:04:32Speaker 6: he counterfeited that.
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: What?
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: I mean, listen, we're back to joy read country, you know,
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: I mean, uh, you know, the time travelers, uh, hacking
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: into her, uh, her, uh, you know, Twitter accounts. I mean, they,
- 1:04:45Speaker 6: they really, they really lost it here.
- 1:04:48Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: So what's going to happen? Uh, they'll make a plea deal.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: You think?
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I, it's, it's gotta be that.
- 1:04:55Speaker 6: I mean, I, I don't, I don't think Tim Cruz
- 1:04:59Speaker 6: is a pretty good district attorney. He's the only Republican
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: district attorney in Massachusetts. And, uh, I, I don't think
- 1:05:05Speaker 6: he really, he wants to do this, but what's he
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: supposed to, what was he supposed to do if he hadn't,
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: if he hadn't, uh, you know, uh, put her on trial,
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: he would have been, you know, criticized by everybody. And
- 1:05:17Speaker 6: then he puts her on trial and they're making her
- 1:05:18Speaker 6: out like she's a, some kind of a, feminist hero.
- 1:05:22Speaker 6: I think they'll try to work out some kind of deal.
- 1:05:26Speaker 6: It's kind of a good career move here for Kevin
- 1:05:30Speaker 6: Reddington at the end.
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: He was involved with.
- 1:05:32Speaker 6: Some fringe players in the Karen Reid case, some of
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: the black hats. He loses a lot of cases too
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: over the years, but this is a nice way to
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: cap his career.
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: I think he'd like to keep going year.
- 1:05:48Speaker 6: I mean, how absurd was it that he, uh, you know, uh,
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: asked the president Trump to partner knowing that president Trump
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: couldn't partner. And then he's saying it was, you know,
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: he's basically comes back to Boston and says, well, this was.
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: A crafty move.
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: I'm going to try to get Trump to intervene with
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: his fellow Republican. I mean, can you imagine under any
- 1:06:07Speaker 6: possible circumstances that Trump would make a call to the
- 1:06:10Speaker 6: district attorney and say, can you drop the charges against
- 1:06:13Speaker 6: this woman who murdered admits murdering three of her kids?
- 1:06:17Speaker 6: I mean, Talk about delusional if they think that's ever
- 1:06:21Speaker 6: going to happen.
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: Well, Howie Carr, I knew you'd be the guy to ask.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: Great stuff. And, hey, the new book, when does it
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: come out?

- 1:07:23Speaker 2: More Mark.
- 1:07:24Speaker 12: On 710WOR.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right.
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: Three hours every day, 9 to noon. Three hours every day,
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: 9 to noon. Hey, it's still summer. I know, it's
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: after Labor Day, but it's still summer. Officially, it's still summer.
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: It's 84, humid today. It's going to be in the 80s, sunny.
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: for the next few days. We've got a lot to
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: get to in the next hour, so don't go away.
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: Back after the news, 710WOR.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Now more Mark Simone on 710WOR.
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: Well, hey, I just want to remind you, it's still summer.
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: The last day of summer is the 22nd of September,
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: which means two weeks from today, It's the first day
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: of fall. Two weeks from today is when fall begins,
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: so it's still summer. Hard to remember that when tonight
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: is opening night, NFL season begins tonight. And it's not
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: just any game. It's a repeat of the Super Bowl.
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: It's the Seahawks and the Patriots, the Super Bowl teams,
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: will play tonight. So it'll be a rematch. It's going
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: to be a big, huge game. It'll be 8.30 tonight
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: on television, NFL. So President Trump came up with a
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: brilliant idea, a midterm convention. They always have the convention
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: in the presidential year. This is brilliant. I don't know
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: why somebody didn't think of this before. A midterm convention. Well,
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: it seemed brilliant on paper, but I don't know who
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: scheduled this, but the president is to speak. tonight at 8.30.
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: Opposite him will be opening night at the NFL and
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: not just any game, a rematch of the Super Bowl.
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: So I don't know who did the scheduling, but somebody
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: should be getting yelled at right now. And the other
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: problem is, as great as this sounds, The conventions, you know,
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: years ago, the political conventions every year, every election year,
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: were a big deal. Everybody would watch them. You know,
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: they'd run them on television. Every network would broadcast them
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: for three hours, you know, 8 to 11 every night.
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: You'd see the political conventions. They were amazing to watch.
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: But in recent years, in recent elections, you really don't
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: see them anymore. They don't run them from 8 to 11.
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: Sometimes they run highlights. Maybe 10 to 11 they'll run it.
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: And very few people watch network television anymore. And tonight,
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: the networks aren't going to carry this Republican convention. So
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: I don't know who's going to see it. Fox News
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: has said they'll cover it, which is great. You'll get
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: to watch it. And you should. But I would assume
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: the president, the Republicans, already have the Fox News viewers.
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: It's not going to make much difference. You want to
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: reach independent voters. How are you going to reach them?
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: It's not going to be on anywhere. It's not going
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: to get much coverage. I mean, it'll be streamed live.
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: I'm sure you can watch it on YouTube or anywhere.
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: So we'll see what effect it has. The president will
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: speak tonight.
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: J.D.
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: Vance will speak tomorrow night. Tomorrow's the anniversary of the
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: death of Charlie Kirk.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: J.D.
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: Vance was very close to Charlie Kirk. So that'll be
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: part of his speech tomorrow night. The good news, Jimmy
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: Kimmel is finished, canceled. I know ABC keeps denying it,
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: but they don't really deny it. He couldn't get a
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: new contract this time when his contract ended. Normally you
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: get a three-year contract, five-year contract, something like that. He
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: couldn't get a new contract this time. Instead, they gave
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: him a one-year extension, which is considered the biggest insult
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: in broadcasting when they will only give you a one-year extension.
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: So his one-year extension will be up pretty soon, but
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: the word is he'll have one more season, which begins
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: right now in September. and ends in May. So that'll
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: be the end of Kimmel, May. He'll go off the
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: air in May. Now, ABC is putting out these statements saying, well,
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: that's just internet speculation. It's just speculation. I keep hearing
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: this from inside there. If it's not true, announce a
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: new contract if you're ABC. If it's not true, sign
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: him to a new contract. Announce a new contract. Sign
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: him up for three years. But They won't do it.
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: You'll see them go off the air in May. That'll
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: be the end of Kimmel. Very, very low-rated show. And
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: Colbert went off the air, and CBS is very happy.
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: They don't have the headaches of Colbert. And the replacement show,
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: the one from Byron Allen, is doing great. In 18
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: to 49, which is the most important ratings category, it's
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: crushing Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel. It's doing great. 18
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: to 49-year-olds doing big numbers. So look for ABC to
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: replace Kimmel with a real actual comedy show, not an
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: angry political show with an agenda, but an actual comedy show.
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: So once again, the Apple big announcement today, one o'clock,
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: Apple will do the whole presentation. Big new iPhone coming out,
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: the foldable phone that opens, new watch, new earbuds, all
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: sorts of stuff. So keep an eye on that. I'm
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: also keeping an eye on, you know, the big bombshell
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: was released by Mayor Mamdani. He found in the basement
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: of City Hall all these documents that show that after
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: September 11th, the city of New York, all its officials,
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: the city, the state, the federal government, they knew they
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: had reports that the air quality was bad, dangerous, poisonous.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: And you can see in the documents that they were
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: being told that if this came out publicly, The liability
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: amount would be catastrophic that the city would have to
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: pay out all these liability settlements. So they deliberately covered
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: it up, deliberately covered it up. Now, they've released these
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: bombshell documents, but I don't know. It doesn't seem to
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: be getting the attention you think it would. It's getting
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: a little coverage, but it's not the front page. It's
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: not the first story. It's not getting, let me just
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: look at the New York Post here. It's not getting
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: huge coverage. You know, it's like story number 15. So
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: we'll see. Why would Mamdani release this? Because he hates Giuliani, Pataki.
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: He hates everybody. It was the Bush administration. It's to
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: damage them. It's to make them look bad. Jon Stewart
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: was there for the press conference. And listen, Jon Stewart's
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: right about this.
- 1:14:02Speaker 8: There was poison in the air. And on the ground
- 1:14:06Speaker 8: and in the windowsills and in your air conditioners and
- 1:14:10Speaker 8: covering your pets and your clothes. And it stayed there
- 1:14:15Speaker 8: for months. Everyone knew.
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: Pretty bad. Mamdani.
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: I'm proud to be the mayor of this city. I
- 1:14:23Speaker 5: love this city. I love this country. And what I
- 1:14:25Speaker 5: want this week to be a focus on is on
- 1:14:28Speaker 5: the families whose loved ones were stolen from them 25
- 1:14:31Speaker 5: years ago.
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: Yeah, but in the middle of this, he releases this
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: report condemning these city officials at the time.
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: These are documents that show what the city knew about
- 1:14:41Speaker 5: the toxic air around Ground Zero, when they knew it,
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: and how they acted to limit liability. They contain details
- 1:14:49Speaker 5: about DEP's response. They show how asbestos was found nearly
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: everywhere that inspectors tested. And they will help New Yorkers
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: access the health care they need.
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: So he's come to realize in the last few weeks
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: that when he goes to the 9-11 ceremony, everybody's going
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: to be looking at him as like he's some kind
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: of villain. He's like horrible. So Pataki and the other
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: officials that will be there will be thought of as heroes.
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: He's doing this so that they're thought of as villains.
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: But as I said, it's not getting that much attention.
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: So we'll see. We'll see what happens with this. The
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: data centers, Howard Lutnick, Commerce Secretary, he's out there defending
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: these data centers.
- 1:15:32Speaker 4: So think about it.
- 1:15:33Speaker 8: These AI things, they suck water and they need water, right?
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: And so they need a plumber, but not a plumber plumber.
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I mean, the water problem, they'll solve that
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: because they've already figured out how to recycle the water
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: and not use that much. I mean, data centers don't
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: use water.
- 1:15:51Speaker 8: The data centers, this is propaganda by our adversaries to
- 1:15:55Speaker 8: try to slow us down.
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: Well, so what's the problem with a data center? It's
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: a big, ugly building. I mean, it's not ugly, but
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: it's just a big, massive building if it's in your neighborhood.
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: I mean, the good thing is it creates a lot
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: of jobs. And it really helps you with the data center,
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: the internet, the phone, everything, AI. You need these data centers.
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: The problem is the noise. You have to be cooled.
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: It's a massive building filled with computers and servers. And
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: they get so heated. You have to have these cooling
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: things cooled by these big turbines, which make not just noise,
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: but vibration. There's a hum. Now, imagine if you're living
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: next door to.
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: All day and night. It's going to drive you nuts.
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: But look where LaGuardia Airport is. It's right in a
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: residential neighborhood. There's houses like right outside the fence of
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: LaGuardia Airport. So you have these planes and they make
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: more noise than a data center. And I imagine when
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: it goes right over your house, your house shakes a little.
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: And a lot of people live next to a train
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: track and all that.
- 1:17:07Speaker 7: So.
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: The thing with the data center, you're going to have
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: to just put them way out in the middle of nowhere. Uh,
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: or there's one in Virginia, they put it next to
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: the airport. So who can complain? Now the, the good
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: news with the data center does make noise and vibration
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: and hum, but, uh, it's really only bad for a
- 1:17:24Speaker 3: half a mile and you can still faintly hear it
- 1:17:28Speaker 3: a mile away, but it's really only a half a
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: mile away that it's a, it's a problem if you're
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: trying to live there. But, uh, They're going to get built.
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: And they'll figure out how to quiet these turbines down.
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: Elon Musk is already working on it. So that'll make
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: a big, big difference. Hey, Nicolas Cage, the actor, you know,
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: he has a beautiful house in Malibu. It's worth about,
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: let me see, $ 10. 5 million. $ 10. 5 million house. Right next
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: to his house. Right in the whole driveway. There's a
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: sinkhole right at his house. I don't know how you
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: get to his house anymore because the ground just caved in.
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: Massive sinkhole right in front of his house. They say this,
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: to fix it is going to be a nightmare, and
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: that might be the end of this house. Large chunks
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: of concrete were visible in the hole. Massive hole opened
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: up right next to his house. It's literally right up
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: to his garage. The whole driveway is gone with a sinkhole. Now,
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: they think to blame for this is that it was a,
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: A couple of days of very heavy rain in Los
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: Angeles with high surf. And that sinkhole is created when
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: water is underneath in the ground and it erodes all
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: the soil and gets rid of all the soil and
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: dirt underneath. And then the whole ground just caves in.
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: So I don't know what he's going to do.
- 1:18:50Speaker 9: To do.
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: I guess you can fill in a sinkhole, but it's
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: going to take a while, and they think the house
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: will have to come down. So you remember Joe Biden's
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: prostate cancer, and it wasn't caught in time. If you
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: catch prostate cancer early, and that's why you get a
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: screening every year, if you catch it in time, The
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: survival rate is close to 100%. But they didn't catch
- 1:19:15Speaker 3: it in time. Apparently, he had it for years, and
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: it spread throughout his body. It spread into his bones. Now,
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: how is that possible? Because if you get a physical,
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: that's part of the physical. It's a big part of
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: the physical, prostate screening. And they always take a blood
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: test in a physical, and they send your blood test out.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: And that's one thing they ask for. is that prostate stuff,
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: the PSA count and all that. It's just standard procedure. Now,
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: Jill Biden was asked about this in some podcast, and
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: she said, well, you know, once you're past 80, they
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: don't recommend prostate screening. Yeah, but I've asked every doctor
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: I could find. If the guy's 90, they always do it.
- 1:20:01Speaker 4: They still do it.
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: You have to take blood and do a blood test.
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: When you send it to the lab, you request the
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: blood test you want. And you request like 14 different
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: things to be tested for. And it's always there, that
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: prostate screening test. It's always on the list. You're always
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: tested for it. And we're not talking about a regular citizen.
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: We're talking about a guy that was president of the
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: United States. That's the White House physical, the presidential physical
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: at Walter Reed. I've talked to people who have gone
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: through it. It is the most thorough five-hour physical ever
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: in history. They test you for everything on earth. There's
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: no way he could have missed it. So something's wrong here.
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: Something's wrong here with this story. Did they tell him
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: and he was too afraid to do anything about it?
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: But the cancer has spread. Joe Biden issued a statement yesterday.
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: The cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further.
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: He says it's very painful. It's very debilitating in many respects.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: I don't know what you do when it's that far
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: into your body when it's spread like that. Jill Biden
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: is berating the White House doctors for not catching it,
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: but I guarantee you they tested him for this. There's
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: no way they didn't. She also admitted she would hear
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: her husband get up frequently in the night to urinate,
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: it says here. This is more information than we need
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: about Joe Biden. She said it's a common symptom, a
- 1:21:26Speaker 3: common symptom of prostate problems, but she did not press
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: him to talk to his doctors. Men's men. Now, she
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: said men Biden's age are not usually tested for the disease. Again,
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: I've talked to a lot of great doctors. They said
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: they don't care how old you are. They would test
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: you for it. Now, Joe Biden constantly getting up in
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: First of all, do you really believe he remembered where
- 1:21:51Speaker 3: the bathroom is? And let's say he found it. You
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: really think he could find his way back to his bedroom?
- 1:21:57Speaker 3: You saw him when he made a speech when he
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: got off stage, couldn't find the door, didn't know where
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: to go. but it sounds pretty bad. It sounds like
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: he might not, uh, have that much time left if
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: it's spread that, and he's in great pain and suffering
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: a lot. So anyway, uh, the Apple event is one
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: o'clock today. And then tonight about eight o'clock, this Republican
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: midterm convention starts, you know, the New York delegation is
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: down there. They were a little surprised that they're seating.
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: The New York delegation was put all the way in
- 1:22:27Speaker 3: the back. That's not a good sign. Uh, Maybe the
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: Republican National Committee has just written off New York. Although,
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: as we mentioned in the first hour, Bruce Blakeman, latest poll.
- 1:22:41Speaker 3: This is the real polls, not these fake public polls.
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: The real polls, the internal polls. Bruce Blakeman now within
- 1:22:47Speaker 3: four points. He was 25 points behind. Then he was
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: 20 points behind. Then he was 10 points behind. Latest poll,
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: he's four points behind. And the campaign didn't really start yet.
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: He's been campaigning hard, but it really heats up now.
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: After Labor Day. So it looks like Blakeman has an
- 1:23:04Speaker 3: excellent shot at winning. Hey, we'll take some calls next.
- 1:23:07Speaker 3: 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 1:23:08Speaker 17: 800-321-0710.
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: The Mark Simone Show. Now 9 till noon weekdays.
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: On 710WOR.
- 1:23:11Speaker 3: Well, let's take some calls. Let's go to Joe Elmwood Park.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: Joe, how are you doing?
- 1:23:29Speaker 12: Good morning, Mark.
- 1:23:30Speaker 21: Last week, our beautiful governor put a legislation that you
- 1:23:34Speaker 21: could take your cocktails out of the restaurant. Like, we
- 1:23:38Speaker 21: don't have enough drunks, and now we've got potheads on
- 1:23:41Speaker 21: the road. Instead of lowering our taxes and lowering our
- 1:23:43Speaker 21: utility bills, you know.
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: Well, the restaurant's kind of lobbied for that because if
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: they could have drinks to go, they could make a
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: lot more money. True.
- 1:23:53Speaker 21: And, oh, on 60 Minutes, why don't you have Pierce
- 1:23:56Speaker 21: Morgan or Ricky Gerace for drinks? Andy Rooney spot.
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: No, I think I don't want to. Pierce Morgan, he's
- 1:24:05Speaker 3: a little annoying. Yeah, Ricky Gervais would be good, but
- 1:24:07Speaker 3: he's too big. He's too big to do it. They've
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: been offering it. Remember the old Andy Rooney? Did you
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: ever notice that spot? They asked Seinfeld to do it.
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: He's too big, way too big to do that. Ricky Gervais,
- 1:24:18Speaker 3: too big to do that. Let's go to Ralph in Manhattan. Ralph,
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: how are you doing?
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: You know, Mark, I don't buy that conspiracy theory that
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: it's been covered up, the ground zero thing. You know,
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: you would think in 25 years' time, the thing would
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: come out. Why now? And how did they.
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: Well, because it was covered up and it was buried
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: in boxes in the basement. Bloomberg's not going to bother.
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: de Blasio never showed up, but he's not looking through anything. Mamdani,
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: he's trying to discredit Giuliani. He's trying to discredit Pataki
- 1:24:51Speaker 3: and all those... people, and it's a good way to
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: try to discredit them. So he found it. Well, that's
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: the whole thing.
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: Mamdani taking the advantage of the whole thing and coming
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: out with this at this time. You got to look
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: with a jaundiced eye at this thing, don't you think?
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, listen, it's a good thing to release
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: the truth and let us know what happened, but his
- 1:25:11Speaker 3: motives are bad here, but it's a good thing in
- 1:25:13Speaker 3: the end, I guess. Let's go to John in Long Island. John,
- 1:25:16Speaker 3: how you doing?
- 1:25:18Speaker 12: Okay, Mark, thank you. Love your show every day.
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 1:25:22Speaker 12: The other day, you brought up the expansion of the
- 1:25:25Speaker 12: White House, Mark, okay? And I don't think that even
- 1:25:30Speaker 12: Democrats don't understand. He's doing a favor to the future
- 1:25:34Speaker 12: generations and the future administrations of presidents of the United States.
- 1:25:38Speaker 12: What he's building there, I've seen the renderings. It's going
- 1:25:40Speaker 12: to be gorgeous.
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's Trump.
- 1:25:42Speaker 14: It's Trump.
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: They don't like Trump.
- 1:25:44Speaker 12: Well, yeah, but I'm just talking about the building itself.
- 1:25:48Speaker 12: Years ago... I'm an architect. The standard of designing concrete
- 1:25:53Speaker 12: was 4,000 pounds per square inch. When they built the
- 1:25:57Speaker 12: new Freedom Tower, that was designed with a whole new
- 1:26:00Speaker 12: aspect of concrete science at 15,000 pounds per square inch.
- 1:26:05Speaker 12: I can imagine now what they're building for the expansion
- 1:26:09Speaker 12: over there at the White House. It's going to be
- 1:26:10Speaker 12: something really amazingly.
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: Durable and resistant. He's using what they call nuclear concrete.
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: which is used in nuclear plants. Apparently, it's absolutely indestructible.
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: Trump's saying you can take a jackhammer and go at
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: it for two days and not even make a mark
- 1:26:26Speaker 3: on it. The reason he's doing that is he believes
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: Democrats will try to tear down his ballroom. So this
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: nuclear concrete and this very, very special kind of steel
- 1:26:35Speaker 3: you can't remove will make it impossible to tear it down.
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: Let's go to Robert in Manhattan. Robert, how are you doing?
- 1:26:43Speaker 9: Very good, Mark. How are you doing?
- 1:26:44Speaker 12: Good.
- 1:26:45Speaker 9: Everybody asks you how you're doing.
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: That's okay.
- 1:26:48Speaker 9: No, it's fine.
- 1:26:51Speaker 3: Remember Bob Grant, he'd get mad when he asked that.
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: He'd yell at you. It's fine.
- 1:26:57Speaker 9: There's so much disinformation out there about data centers. Out
- 1:27:02Speaker 9: of control. First of all, people will be very much
- 1:27:07Speaker 9: surprised to know that 19 enterprise carrier class data centers
- 1:27:14Speaker 9: are exist right now in lower Manhattan.
- 1:27:18Speaker 3: Yeah, we mentioned that the other day. There's actually 22 now.
- 1:27:21Speaker 9: And one is an entire city block.
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: Yeah, we already have.
- 1:27:25Speaker 4: They've been there for.
- 1:27:26Speaker 9: Years and are expanded all the time. Nobody cares. We
- 1:27:29Speaker 9: have 72 data centers in all of the five boroughs.
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: Yeah, we've mentioned that. They're all over the place in
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: New York.
- 1:27:34Speaker 9: Oh, I didn't know you mentioned that.
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a good point. But we have data centers.
- 1:27:39Speaker 3: They're right in New York City. There's a couple in Manhattan.
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: We've already had data centers all over. These are just
- 1:27:43Speaker 3: bigger data centers. They will make a little more noise.
- 1:27:46Speaker 3: The reason I guess you didn't notice them in Manhattan,
- 1:27:49Speaker 3: who's going to notice noise in Manhattan? Wherever you live
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: in New York City, sometimes there's a noise outside your
- 1:27:55Speaker 3: window in the middle of the night all night. It's
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: Con Edison drilling, digging up the street or something like that.
- 1:28:01Speaker 3: Let's go to Rich in Myrtle Beach. Rich, how are
- 1:28:03Speaker 3: you doing?
- 1:28:04Speaker 12: Thanks, Mark. This AI thing is real because one person,
- 1:28:08Speaker 12: Greg Gutfeld, was way ahead of the field in this stuff,
- 1:28:11Speaker 12: but I saw the guy on Fox this morning saying
- 1:28:13Speaker 12: that they put AI in two or three solitary confinement positions.
- 1:28:19Speaker 12: And those three AI solitary confinements found a way to
- 1:28:23Speaker 12: hack out of their solitary confinement, merge with each other,
- 1:28:27Speaker 12: and start hacking into other stuff. And Cyberdyne is coming.
- 1:28:30Speaker 12: I'm telling you. They better watch out.
- 1:28:31Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:28:32Speaker 9: Calm down.
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: Calm down. Take it easy. Everything will be fine.
- 1:28:35Speaker 12: And here's one for you. My gas went up 20
- 1:28:38Speaker 12: cents overnight. It's now $ 3.
- 1:28:39Speaker 7: 99.
- 1:28:41Speaker 3: Give me a minute. I'm just shaken up here.
- 1:28:44Speaker 12: I talked to Vincent yesterday afternoon or yesterday evening. What
- 1:28:47Speaker 12: do you mean you talked to Vincent?
- 1:28:49Speaker 3: What do you mean you talked to Vincent?
- 1:28:52Speaker 12: He and I talk almost every single week about fishing
- 1:28:54Speaker 12: and all kinds of stuff.
- 1:28:55Speaker 3: How did you get Vincent's number?
- 1:28:57Speaker 12: That's a long story, but I got it. Anybody can
- 1:29:01Speaker 12: look me up. I had my own TV radio show
- 1:29:03Speaker 12: for 25 years. You and I spoke about that. Oh,
- 1:29:05Speaker 12: that's right.
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: It was called The Tonight Show, right? You hosted that?
- 1:29:09Speaker 6: That's right.
- 1:29:10Speaker 12: No.
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: What was it called?
- 1:29:12Speaker 12: And Jay Leno beat me out of it. That's right.
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: What was the show called?
- 1:29:15Speaker 12: It was called The Fishing Line.
- 1:29:18Speaker 10: Oh.
- 1:29:18Speaker 12: I did a fishing show. You and I had this
- 1:29:20Speaker 12: conversation about how much you hate fishing and stuff like that.
- 1:29:23Speaker 3: I don't hate it. It's a little boring. If you're
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: a big drinker, it's great. You sit there and drink
- 1:29:27Speaker 3: while you fish.
- 1:29:29Speaker 12: In a lawn chair at Field 6 at Jones Beach.
- 1:29:32Speaker 3: Yeah, if you like sitting in a chair drinking beer,
- 1:29:34Speaker 3: it's a great hobby.
- 1:29:35Speaker 12: Soak some clams looking for striped bass. Yeah, but if
- 1:29:37Speaker 12: you know what you're doing, it's very exciting and very profitable.
- 1:29:40Speaker 12: Calm down.
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: Exciting is not the word.
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: Enjoyable.
- 1:29:46Speaker 12: Thanks, Mark.
- 1:29:47Speaker 4: Exciting.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:29:48Speaker 3: Anyway, thanks for calling. Hey, when we come back, Ann
- 1:29:51Speaker 3: Coulter will be with us next. Lots to talk to
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: her about. Coming up. On 710WOR.
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: Well, Ann Coulter, the best-selling author, the great columnist. You know,
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: she's got a Rumble channel, too, with a lot of
- 1:30:10Speaker 3: good stuff on it. Check out her Rumble channel. Follow
- 1:30:13Speaker 3: her on Twitter. And even better is Substack, where she's
- 1:30:16Speaker 3: got her columns. She's got videos and podcasts and everything
- 1:30:19Speaker 3: at anncoulter.substack. AnnCoulter.substack.com. Ann Coulter, how are you doing? Fantastic.
- 1:30:28Speaker 11: How are you, Mark Simone?
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: I'm good. Are you following this Lindsay Clancy stuff?
- 1:30:34Speaker 11: Yes, I wrote about it last week.
- 1:30:36Speaker 4: That's what I thought.
- 1:30:38Speaker 3: There's a lot of murders all the time. Why did
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: this grip everybody so much?
- 1:30:46Speaker 11: Well, apparently a lot of women say that at any
- 1:30:49Speaker 11: moment they could get depressed and start committing triple homicides
- 1:30:54Speaker 11: which is why i think uh... we need to reconsider
- 1:30:57Speaker 11: this idea that a woman could be president hope that's
- 1:31:01Speaker 11: a bit of a hundred dot but it's not just
- 1:31:03Speaker 11: that you can have psychopaths are males or females but
- 1:31:06Speaker 11: we have hundreds of women i think if you don't
- 1:31:09Speaker 11: have hundreds of men standing outside the courtroom for uh...
- 1:31:12Speaker 11: you know Ted Bundy, or the example I used in
- 1:31:19Speaker 11: my book was John List. Remember him? He slaughters his
- 1:31:22Speaker 11: whole family, and he was depressed. Where are all the
- 1:31:25Speaker 11: men saying, you don't understand, we're drowning, it's our hormones?
- 1:31:29Speaker 11: You know, that used to be the most sexist, misogynistic,
- 1:31:34Speaker 11: retrograde thing you could say, that we can't have a
- 1:31:36Speaker 11: woman as president because of her hormones. And now they're saying, oh, yeah,
- 1:31:41Speaker 11: but our hormones do excuse a triple homicide. You never
- 1:31:46Speaker 11: know when it's going to hit.
- 1:31:48Speaker 3: Well, all right, all right. You know, there was that
- 1:31:50Speaker 3: crazy Whoopi Goldberg yelling and screaming at anybody that hates
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: Lindsay Clancy. Like Pete Hegseth, who doesn't want women in
- 1:31:59Speaker 3: the Army. But what about women in Congress?
- 1:32:02Speaker 11: Oh, yeah, of course they shouldn't be in the Army.
- 1:32:05Speaker 11: I don't understand after this whole... hoo-ha and, you know, correctly,
- 1:32:10Speaker 11: sanity one in the end about men in women's sports.
- 1:32:16Speaker 11: Why do brains on, you know, disconnect when it comes to, oh, no,
- 1:32:20Speaker 11: but it's okay, they can be a Marine. Girls can,
- 1:32:24Speaker 11: they're as good as men when it comes to being
- 1:32:26Speaker 11: a policeman.
- 1:32:28Speaker 9: Uh.
- 1:32:28Speaker 11: but no we they can not compete against a man
- 1:32:32Speaker 11: in women's sports no manifestly enough and the evidence submitted uh...
- 1:32:36Speaker 11: i would particularly note i think it was by uh...
- 1:32:39Speaker 11: the independent women's forms the supreme court on the trans
- 1:32:43Speaker 11: case on that was whether the states could ban men
- 1:32:47Speaker 11: from playing in girls sports and it was signed by
- 1:32:50Speaker 11: among others uh... never to love of the great tennis
- 1:32:53Speaker 11: star uh... and they just went through The scientific evidence
- 1:32:58Speaker 11: on everything you couldn't even imagine had something to do
- 1:33:01Speaker 11: with the testosterone that hits the fetus in the womb.
- 1:33:05Speaker 11: From the moment little boys are born, no matter what
- 1:33:09Speaker 11: they may later say they feel like they were in
- 1:33:11Speaker 11: the wrong body for, they have stronger, longer bones. They
- 1:33:16Speaker 11: have much more muscle strength. They are physically larger. And
- 1:33:21Speaker 11: even apart from size and shape, they're just bigger. stronger
- 1:33:25Speaker 11: and more muscular so of course they shouldn't be in
- 1:33:28Speaker 11: the military or police but people seem to think well
- 1:33:31Speaker 11: it's one thing one thing to have a girl swim
- 1:33:34Speaker 11: against a guy but of course she can go you
- 1:33:37Speaker 11: know join the military and fight with a jihadist face
- 1:33:42Speaker 11: to face i mean you see these cases all the
- 1:33:44Speaker 11: time particularly in new york the police are very active
- 1:33:48Speaker 11: um because we have a lot of criminals uh With
- 1:33:52Speaker 11: a woman being attacked and, oh, just please, God, let
- 1:33:55Speaker 11: her partner be a male so we can rush in
- 1:33:58Speaker 11: and save her, when you have two female cops together,
- 1:34:01Speaker 11: they're often just being taken down by one criminal. It's
- 1:34:04Speaker 11: never like it looks in Law & Order where, you know,
- 1:34:07Speaker 11: pretty young girls are running along because of some, like,
- 1:34:11Speaker 11: karate trick, taking down a 300-pound male. It's absurd, and
- 1:34:16Speaker 11: I don't know why people's brains shut off. You know,
- 1:34:18Speaker 11: stop treating women like victims. We're not victims.
- 1:34:21Speaker 3: I will not be a part of this sexist conversation.
- 1:34:24Speaker 11: How do you like that?
- 1:34:28Speaker 3: I have to cover myself here. No, I know what
- 1:34:31Speaker 3: you're saying. Well, it makes sense. Hey, tonight they're having
- 1:34:37Speaker 3: this Republican midterm convention. It's a wonderful idea. It makes
- 1:34:40Speaker 3: a lot of sense. But who the hell is going
- 1:34:42Speaker 3: to see it? Where is it going to be seen?
- 1:34:43Speaker 2: I think the.
- 1:34:49Speaker 11: The left-wing media may be doing us a favor by
- 1:34:52Speaker 11: not broadcasting this. No matter how much you love him
- 1:34:57Speaker 11: and think other people should love him, the Trump brand
- 1:35:00Speaker 11: is not helping in the midterm elections. His popularity is
- 1:35:05Speaker 11: as low as it's ever been. I think a lot
- 1:35:09Speaker 11: of Republicans would be much better off running and having
- 1:35:12Speaker 11: people not remember who the guy at the top of
- 1:35:14Speaker 11: the ticket is.
- 1:35:15Speaker 3: But my point, there's no networks covering it. Fox will
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: show it, but that's kind of useless. They already have
- 1:35:22Speaker 3: the Fox voters preaching to the choir there. So it's
- 1:35:27Speaker 3: a lot of time and money and expense, and nobody
- 1:35:29Speaker 3: will see this thing?
- 1:35:32Speaker 11: Just pause to note how classic Fox this is. Will
- 1:35:37Speaker 11: it hurt Republicans?
- 1:35:38Speaker 12: Yes.
- 1:35:39Speaker 20: Let's do it.
- 1:35:40Speaker 11: That's fantastic. I'm glad they're showing it.
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: Fantastic. I don't know who the scheduler is, but it's
- 1:35:46Speaker 3: on against the opening night first game of the NFL season,
- 1:35:50Speaker 3: which is the biggest game of all. It's the Super
- 1:35:52Speaker 3: Bowl champions battling each other again. Don't you think somebody
- 1:35:56Speaker 3: should be getting yelled at for this scheduling, putting it
- 1:35:59Speaker 3: on literally?
- 1:36:01Speaker 11: I think somebody should be getting yelled at for thinking
- 1:36:04Speaker 11: of it at all. I mean, Trump should go back and,
- 1:36:06Speaker 11: you know, concentrate on, I don't know, his ballroom and
- 1:36:09Speaker 11: how he's ever going to get us out of Iran.
- 1:36:11Speaker 3: Iran, you can understand. You don't want them to have
- 1:36:15Speaker 3: a nuclear weapon.
- 1:36:17Speaker 11: Yes, and boy, we sure have taken care of that.
- 1:36:21Speaker 3: Well, we did. We got rid of their nuclear stuff.
- 1:36:23Speaker 3: We got them pretty much helpless right now.
- 1:36:27Speaker 11: Every country in the world now that could possibly be
- 1:36:30Speaker 11: a threat uh... that some president could decide he wants
- 1:36:33Speaker 11: to look macho and start bombing is now desperately trying
- 1:36:36Speaker 11: to develop a new because the lesson of the iran
- 1:36:39Speaker 11: war is uh... we don't touch you haven't took you
- 1:36:42Speaker 11: know nothing no no mean comments to north korea no
- 1:36:46Speaker 11: in fact trump is going to talk about the beloved
- 1:36:49Speaker 11: beloved north koreans No one will go after any country
- 1:36:54Speaker 11: with a nuke. The only way to protect yourself is
- 1:36:56Speaker 11: to have a nuke.
- 1:36:58Speaker 9: Wow.
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: You know, you seem to be a little anti-Trump. Look
- 1:37:00Speaker 3: how I picked up on that.
- 1:37:02Speaker 11: No, he's done some great things. The Iran war is
- 1:37:04Speaker 11: a disaster and it's going to kill us in the midterms.
- 1:37:07Speaker 11: And those of us who are against it and can
- 1:37:10Speaker 11: see the writing on the wall from the beginning are
- 1:37:13Speaker 11: a little annoyed that people won't just acknowledge the truth
- 1:37:15Speaker 11: and maybe we can finally someday, other than weirdly... obama
- 1:37:21Speaker 11: and he did increase troops in afghanistan to hold out
- 1:37:23Speaker 11: against him but a president who will concentrate on or
- 1:37:26Speaker 11: a country for a while and stop you know flinging
- 1:37:29Speaker 11: our military abroad and you know with her the sunnis
- 1:37:32Speaker 11: and that we have to we have to put together
- 1:37:34Speaker 11: the balkans finally do something one hundred percent pay attention
- 1:37:40Speaker 11: to our country that is what trump ran on that
- 1:37:42Speaker 11: is why i wrote in trump we trust he was
- 1:37:45Speaker 11: finally a candidate of either party saying he was going to, well,
- 1:37:50Speaker 11: seal the border, enforce immigration laws, bring jobs back, care
- 1:37:54Speaker 11: about the hollowed-out manufacturing base, and not start pointless wars abroad.
- 1:37:59Speaker 11: So it's a big betrayal from what was a winning
- 1:38:02Speaker 11: message and something I guess I am still waiting for.
- 1:38:05Speaker 3: All right, but in his betrayal defense, he did say
- 1:38:09Speaker 3: in millions of interviews for 40 years he would go
- 1:38:12Speaker 3: after Iran. He has been saying that for 40 years
- 1:38:14Speaker 3: pretty consistently. He always said that.
- 1:38:17Speaker 11: You know, he says everything. Oh.
- 1:38:20Speaker 3: All right. I forgot about that.
- 1:38:23Speaker 9: Well.
- 1:38:25Speaker 3: But anyway, Ann Coulter. Hey, the Rumble channel, it's doing well.
- 1:38:29Speaker 3: And you've got a new video.
- 1:38:30Speaker 2: Tomorrow?
- 1:38:30Speaker 20: It's going great.
- 1:38:31Speaker 11: It'll be live. We're going back at least this week.
- 1:38:33Speaker 11: I'm not sure if I'll stick to Thursdays, but Thursday,
- 1:38:36Speaker 11: so tomorrow at 5 p.m.
- 1:38:37Speaker 20: Live.
- 1:38:39Speaker 11: And I'm going to talk about a lot of things,
- 1:38:41Speaker 11: but also will be interviewing a former New York City
- 1:38:44Speaker 11: police officer on.
- 1:38:48Speaker 11: One thing, 9-11, since he was here then, but mostly
- 1:38:52Speaker 11: I want to talk to him about flock of cameras,
- 1:38:54Speaker 11: which I am a huge favor of and in favor of,
- 1:38:57Speaker 11: and this is just a ridiculous moral panic.
- 1:39:00Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: Well, that's a good topic. Will everybody be watching Ann
- 1:39:03Speaker 3: Coulter's Rumble channel? There's stuff up there now you can watch,
- 1:39:06Speaker 3: but tomorrow, the new stuff, Ann Coulter on Rumble. Make
- 1:39:10Speaker 3: sure you follow her on Twitter, and her sub stack
- 1:39:12Speaker 3: is very good. It's anncoulter.substack.com. Go sign up there. Ann Coulter,
- 1:39:19Speaker 3: thanks for being with us.
- 1:39:21Speaker 11: Good to talk to you, Mark Simone.
- 1:39:22Speaker 12: Bye-bye.
- 1:39:22Speaker 14: All right.
- 1:39:23Speaker 3: Take care. Hey, don't forget, coming up at noon today,
- 1:39:26Speaker 3: Buck Sexton, Clay Travis. Do you see that piece in
- 1:39:29Speaker 3: the Wall Street Journal? Big article about their show. They'll
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: be on at noon. Then at 3 o'clock, you've got
- 1:39:34Speaker 3: the most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity.
- 1:39:38Speaker 3: You've got Jesse Kelly at 6. The very funny Jimmy
- 1:39:42Speaker 3: Fela every night. at nine o'clock and I'm here now
- 1:39:47Speaker 3: three hours, nine to noon every day on 710WOR.
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: Now nine till noon weekday. Smart Simone. Only on 710WOR.
- 1:39:59Speaker 3: That's right. It's three hours every day. Oh, I'm getting
- 1:40:02Speaker 3: used to it. I'm starting to get used to it.
- 1:40:04Speaker 3: It's three hours every day, nine to noon. Now listen,
- 1:40:07Speaker 3: it's still summer. Fall begins. Autumn officially begins.
- 1:40:13Speaker 4: Two weeks.
- 1:40:15Speaker 3: From today. You got two more weeks of summer. Two
- 1:40:17Speaker 3: weeks from today is the first day of fall. It's
- 1:40:20Speaker 3: going to be warm. It's going to actually be humid.
