- 0:58Speaker 2: Chamber of Commerce.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Weather out there, bluebirds, guys, no doubt about it. It's
- 1:03Speaker 3: actually complete opposite, but it's okay. I can steal our
- 1:08Speaker 3: vibe not on a Thursday Thursday.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Can't do it.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Won't do it, eh, Jake Flynn a Lander Tate. We'll
- 1:15Speaker 3: back all here. How we doing, how we living?
- 1:17Speaker 2: People doing? Fantastic vibes are high. Thank you Lauder for
- 1:23Speaker 2: spending that record for me a little bit earlier in
- 1:25Speaker 2: that records.
- 1:27Speaker 4: I brought a record player. I should.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Yeah, sometimes like in the morning, to get excited, to
- 1:36Speaker 2: get the vibes up in the room. We have a
- 1:38Speaker 2: little team bonding exercise. We listen to rap music.
- 1:42Speaker 4: We have been doing that. Yeah, very aggressive, it's super aggressive.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Yep, We're not gonna play here it will not be
- 1:47Speaker 3: very specific timeline, not anything close to new and most
- 1:53Speaker 3: of the words.
- 1:54Speaker 5: In it we could we could play that one not
- 1:56Speaker 5: us four. Can't repeat no.
- 1:57Speaker 4: No in this room. Can maybe only one person in
- 2:01Speaker 4: this building.
- 2:02Speaker 2: We get the vibes going, though we did get the
- 2:06Speaker 2: vibes gone.
- 2:06Speaker 4: I do love that that song addressed a lot of things.
- 2:09Speaker 2: The addressed a lot of things, evokes a lot of emotions,
- 2:12Speaker 2: it sure does.
- 2:13Speaker 4: It addressed all Yeah, immigration, the Lord Jesus Christ, which
- 2:19Speaker 4: I appreciated, did great disses in there. Yeah, some violence,
- 2:26Speaker 4: calling people pranksters. What was the song?
- 2:28Speaker 2: What did you just tell me about? Uh, darn it
- 2:32Speaker 2: feels good to be a gangster.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Yes, darn it feels good to be a gangster.
- 2:35Speaker 2: You probably say, Damn it feels good. Damn it feels
- 2:37Speaker 2: good to be a gangster. We play that kids, hmm,
- 2:43Speaker 2: if they if they are in the car, they're probably
- 2:44Speaker 2: going to summer camps, which usually does start TAB nine time.
- 2:49Speaker 2: We know what happens in summer camps anyways, I mean,
- 2:52Speaker 2: so what happens, activities, things go down, learn how to
- 2:56Speaker 2: build fires. As the kids in the.
- 2:58Speaker 4: D MS, I mean, they tell scary stories around the.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Camp stories to their face.
- 3:03Speaker 4: What else they go swimming? Maybe a little bit, learn.
- 3:07Speaker 2: How to do the diving board.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Maybe camp was different in round Rock and Tyler, that's
- 3:12Speaker 3: my apologies.
- 3:14Speaker 2: You do a pretty wild life, Jake. I said it before.
- 3:19Speaker 4: I never went to like any sort of camps. Besides, like.
- 3:24Speaker 2: I'm weaking for camp, I'm saying I didn't go to camp.
- 3:29Speaker 4: People send their kids to Camp Ozark and they told
- 3:32Speaker 4: me how much that costs and all camp.
- 3:35Speaker 3: That's like you can get your kids out, like, hey,
- 3:38Speaker 3: we'll see in two weeks.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I never did that. I never would. I
- 3:41Speaker 2: went to skip Burman baseball camp a couple of days.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Growing up.
- 3:45Speaker 4: I went to like a few strength and conditioning camps.
- 3:50Speaker 6: Whatland, No, it was just like my school one were
- 3:53Speaker 6: those overnight ones though, remember that guy.
- 3:54Speaker 4: No, that's what I'm saying, like, I never stayed overnights
- 3:56Speaker 4: when we're out of camp.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I never did that. Football camp, but it wasn't it
- 4:00Speaker 2: wasn't overnight. The gifts was overnight. Let's use football camp
- 4:04Speaker 2: was overnight when I went, So it was what you
- 4:08Speaker 2: had the option.
- 4:11Speaker 3: So I was like, what's you're talking about different? Though,
- 4:14Speaker 3: like something about youth camp you're talking about, Like, right,
- 4:17Speaker 3: I'm with you.
- 4:17Speaker 2: High school camp. I went to one youth camp growing
- 4:20Speaker 2: up Sky Ranch in Texas, and the only thing I
- 4:23Speaker 2: really remember is and it was like a three night
- 4:26Speaker 2: so it wasn't like send your kid off for two
- 4:28Speaker 2: or three weeks situation. The only thing I remember is
- 4:31Speaker 2: the blob in the lake. Oh well, that was the
- 4:35Speaker 2: only time I've ever experienced the blob. And if you'll
- 4:38Speaker 2: know what I'm talking about, the big inflatable blob on
- 4:41Speaker 2: the lake and you jump on it and you send
- 4:43Speaker 2: somebody on the other end flying about fifty feet in
- 4:46Speaker 2: the air. It was amazing. They had that on ESPN
- 4:51Speaker 2: back in the day. Yeah, about ten fifteen years ago.
- 4:55Speaker 2: But it was like people like I see it. I
- 4:57Speaker 2: feel like I randomly seen on a commercial or something
- 5:00Speaker 2: that every now and then.
- 5:00Speaker 6: Which like, I don't know how you compete in that.
- 5:03Speaker 6: Nobody has any form. They're always just kind of flopping
- 5:06Speaker 6: through the air after.
- 5:07Speaker 2: They yeah, well yeah, that's so like I gotta flail about.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I don't know how you compete it. Why is like
- 5:14Speaker 2: the immediate reaction of people when they're falling like that,
- 5:16Speaker 2: just to start flapping yourself up so they don't get
- 5:22Speaker 2: you know, they're like birds do it right? Why not me?
- 5:26Speaker 2: Why not? I mean, you gotta gotta flap. How do
- 5:30Speaker 2: you feel about this?
- 5:31Speaker 4: What the bracelet says? What that the heart has no elements?
- 5:35Speaker 4: Bracelet is?
- 5:36Speaker 2: Why not me?
- 5:37Speaker 3: True?
- 5:37Speaker 2: Why not? Why can't I fly? Why can't I be
- 5:39Speaker 2: the first?
- 5:39Speaker 4: Why can't I be the first person to use my
- 5:42Speaker 4: arms to fly?
- 5:43Speaker 2: If they said if you, if you dream it, and
- 5:46Speaker 2: if you believe it, you can achieve it. You know
- 5:48Speaker 2: what happens if you don't flap, you'll never be the
- 5:51Speaker 2: one that you're right.
- 5:53Speaker 4: You miss one hundred, you'll fall maybe in the stars.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Mm hmm, okay, I think I've heard that. I'm not
- 6:04Speaker 2: sure if you nailed it. I don't think nailed it.
- 6:07Speaker 4: I don't think I did.
- 6:07Speaker 2: But I know because I took heard that saying yeah.
- 6:10Speaker 4: I took a really long pause there because I couldn't.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I was trying to remember it too, and I couldn't.
- 6:18Speaker 2: This is probably not correct.
- 6:19Speaker 6: I think it's like if you shoot for the moon,
- 6:21Speaker 6: you can catch the stars along the way.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Something. Then you miss, you'd land in the stars.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I don't know whoa this is holy live laugh love
- 6:30Speaker 3: territory for the moon.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars. I
- 6:34Speaker 4: mean we had it among.
- 6:39Speaker 2: A little bit classier feels amongst.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Yeah, shout out to Norman Vincent Peel.
- 6:44Speaker 2: I'll be lobby would never Hey, how do you feel
- 6:47Speaker 2: about like the y'all ever done? So? Have you ever
- 6:49Speaker 2: send any of the kiddos to overnight camps?
- 6:54Speaker 3: Yes, Hudson, my now thirteen year old goes to string
- 6:59Speaker 3: basket ball camp in Mississippi and it's a full week.
- 7:04Speaker 2: It's a basketball camp.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Uh.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Coach John Brady's always there trying to think what city
- 7:10Speaker 3: it's in. How does Katie deal with the week?
- 7:13Speaker 4: She's probably happy?
- 7:14Speaker 3: Uh, she was the you know, first year was kind
- 7:17Speaker 3: of because last year, the first year we dropped.
- 7:18Speaker 2: He's going back this year. Wait, who's doing this, Hudson.
- 7:21Speaker 3: If it wasn't Hudson, she'd probably worry a little bit.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Anybody's gonna be running the camp by the end of it.
- 7:27Speaker 2: It's Hutson. So because like our kids have a bunch
- 7:30Speaker 2: of camp scheduled, but they're like day camps this summer
- 7:33Speaker 2: that they're going to be doing, a lot of them
- 7:35Speaker 2: are over and done them. They're doing some of those
- 7:36Speaker 2: dumber Dunham summer camps, which are fantastic, and but I
- 7:42Speaker 2: got I got some buddies and friends that I that
- 7:44Speaker 2: I see that do send their kids off to like
- 7:47Speaker 2: the three week overnight camp, and I was just like, man,
- 7:51Speaker 2: I don't know if I could like imagine. Yeah, maybe,
- 7:54Speaker 2: I'm sure it's awesome for them and they have a
- 7:56Speaker 2: great time, but I don't know if I could imagine
- 7:58Speaker 2: like separating myself from like my ten year old or
- 8:02Speaker 2: eight year old, especially my five year old, but like
- 8:05Speaker 2: I don't even know if that's an option for them.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Probably not, but like for that long of a time,
- 8:11Speaker 2: it gives me anxiety thinking about it. I think weeks.
- 8:14Speaker 3: And when I say a week, I mean like truly
- 8:16Speaker 3: like five and a half days. That's yeah, that's about
- 8:18Speaker 3: the limit there. Yeah, but he's also a little bit
- 8:20Speaker 3: older as well.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Yeah, but like you know, there's eight nine ten year
- 8:23Speaker 2: olds that do go on these two weeks. Now, Yeah,
- 8:26Speaker 2: it's like wholla, Like good for y'all for being able
- 8:29Speaker 2: to do that. I'm sure they'd love it, but my god,
- 8:32Speaker 2: I couldn't. I don't think I could do it. Like
- 8:34Speaker 2: my anxiety is getting up there just thinking about it.
- 8:37Speaker 2: You never know until you try. I mean, he's gonna
- 8:39Speaker 2: paying them bear than me, you know what I mean?
- 8:45Speaker 2: Do you like that accent? But what was I don't know.
- 8:47Speaker 2: It just popped out. Hard to identify what it was actually,
- 8:53Speaker 2: I mean it was just a different voice of a
- 8:56Speaker 2: something else. Is that gonna come out more often? Maybe
- 9:01Speaker 2: I think you can just shoved that back.
- 9:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know that one. That one may need
- 9:04Speaker 5: to be buried. Keep that personality here again. Shot for
- 9:08Speaker 5: the moon, missed it?
- 9:11Speaker 2: She landed on the starres.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Okay, oh, shot, and I might try to see if
- 9:20Speaker 3: I can get this from my mom. I need to
- 9:22Speaker 3: get the picture of when I went to skip Bertman
- 9:25Speaker 3: baseball camp.
- 9:26Speaker 2: How old are we eight? Maybe? Okay, something like that.
- 9:33Speaker 3: I need the picture because you know, I before I
- 9:36Speaker 3: went to Williamson got you know, LASA got coke bottle glasses.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Oh really, That's why that's why I wore Advisor in
- 9:46Speaker 3: the NFL. Because the dirty Seahawks poked my eyes under
- 9:50Speaker 3: a pile of contact popped out and I had a
- 9:52Speaker 3: whole driver.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I had one contact come on Seahawks.
- 9:55Speaker 3: So I bring that up to say I had the
- 9:57Speaker 3: horse grant sports goggles on.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Nice but they were probably kind of cool. No, they weren't.
- 10:03Speaker 3: I mean, Horace did what occurred. Horace did what he
- 10:06Speaker 3: could force you know what I mean? Ye, bo outlaw
- 10:09Speaker 3: did what he could for only so much. There's only
- 10:11Speaker 3: so much it needed to be. Yes, that was the
- 10:15Speaker 3: only chance you had.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Horace made it where you wouldn't get like things thrown
- 10:19Speaker 2: at you.
- 10:21Speaker 3: But also when you walked by, they whispered as soon
- 10:23Speaker 3: as you walked by, you know what I mean?
- 10:25Speaker 2: Mm hmm, So eight years old? Have you at that point?
- 10:28Speaker 2: Had you discovered hydrogen peroxide in the hair and tann
- 10:32Speaker 2: and oil? Yet? No, it was a year or two
- 10:37Speaker 2: away from that. Yeah, definitely wasn't proxy that. That must
- 10:40Speaker 2: have been a you guys think, what what is that?
- 10:46Speaker 4: Uh?
- 10:46Speaker 2: That's what people used to do to bleach it? I think,
- 10:48Speaker 2: m Okay, I think, I mean, I guess, I guess
- 10:51Speaker 2: I never really had that issue.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Why wouldn't you just bleach it?
- 10:58Speaker 2: Yeah, just kind of like a joke a little bit.
- 11:00Speaker 2: They used to have m what was this called? Hold on,
- 11:03Speaker 2: let me let me get the codwebs out of here.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Son d Do you remember that it looked like a
- 11:12Speaker 2: sunscreen bottle.
- 11:13Speaker 3: And you would spray it in your hair and it
- 11:15Speaker 3: would basically just turn your hair orange and the sun
- 11:18Speaker 3: would like that and it'd just be like.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Spots because you were spraying. Yeah, I've heard of that.
- 11:22Speaker 2: I did. I didn't know about the Broxide thing. Yeah,
- 11:25Speaker 2: I don't really know if it works, but I figured
- 11:28Speaker 2: that there was an There was multiple people, as report
- 11:31Speaker 2: of Angel that at least tried it to see if
- 11:34Speaker 2: it worked. Again.
- 11:38Speaker 3: The thing that doesn't make this land is we don't
- 11:41Speaker 3: try to run away from what that was. Frosted tips
- 11:45Speaker 3: and then we put seventy up against you because you didn't.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Didn't you, buddy?
- 11:53Speaker 3: We beat every team in your district because they play us,
- 11:58Speaker 3: so did we?
- 11:59Speaker 2: No, and you didn't beat them all. We beat them all.
- 12:01Speaker 3: You just you did not go undefeated one year in district. Nope,
- 12:05Speaker 3: he went seven and oh see how many teams you have?
- 12:10Speaker 2: Six?
- 12:10Speaker 3: And oh.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Do you think that the team that had the honorable
- 12:16Speaker 4: mention didn't go undefeated?
- 12:18Speaker 2: We beat them all? Yeah? Right, if you play three
- 12:22Speaker 2: times and you go five and one, that means you
- 12:24Speaker 2: beat them all quite literally.
- 12:26Speaker 6: Yeah, but did you go undefeated? That's wasn't the question
- 12:30Speaker 6: your finish. You did have to beat them twice? Yeah,
- 12:33Speaker 6: which that's play in each team in the district. Twice
- 12:36Speaker 6: is wild, especially.
- 12:38Speaker 2: When we all had a bunch of the ones whose
- 12:40Speaker 2: first team regiment Neil now my senior year, who's going
- 12:44Speaker 2: by this? Joe Armstrong? I think who? Joe Armstrong played
- 12:50Speaker 2: at Rice and then Terrence Parks for Lufkin and played
- 12:54Speaker 2: a Baylor, so he.
- 12:57Speaker 5: Led to my play for Rice Beach. He was salty,
- 13:02Speaker 5: he was. I think it was Joel Armstrong. We gotta
- 13:06Speaker 5: look that up. Think quarterback named than Armstrong? Yeah right,
- 13:10Speaker 5: I know, I mean, there's just not he.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Was a really good runner, right a lot. Then Tarry Terry.
- 13:16Speaker 2: I believe it was Terrence Parks quarterback for Lufkin. So
- 13:20Speaker 2: y'all would have played against Joel at long View? Yeah,
- 13:25Speaker 2: doing Malcolm Kelly. Yeah, we actually we crushed them at home.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Then they beat us in a close, one cold game.
- 13:31Speaker 3: No, they did beat us, mm hmmm, yeah, they beat
- 13:35Speaker 3: us senior year.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I think I think we beat him junior. They beat
- 13:39Speaker 2: us senior. Ye, yeah, that was the year we lost
- 13:40Speaker 2: him when we crushed him to junior, when you all
- 13:42Speaker 2: lost him. That said, we beat him junior and lost
- 13:47Speaker 2: him senior year. Oh yeah, that's right. You were held
- 13:51Speaker 2: back and like four years older than most people of
- 13:53Speaker 2: your age and you're great. Oh whatever had to do
- 13:57Speaker 2: not to be honorable mention.
- 13:59Speaker 3: All right, we'll be back more OTB here live from
- 14:01Speaker 3: the Raisin Kaines studio. Off the bench, all right, go
- 14:05Speaker 3: to gcop net dot com.

- 14:14Speaker 3: here on the Golf Coast. They've got four locations in Louisiana.
- 14:19Speaker 3: And the thing that's kind of different about them is

- 14:27Speaker 2: The latest technology.
- 14:29Speaker 3: But the thing that sets them apart is when you
- 14:31Speaker 3: pick up the phone give them a call. The person
- 14:33Speaker 3: that you're talking with is going to help you out.
- 14:35Speaker 3: They're not going to transfer you. You're not going to
- 14:37Speaker 3: talk to seven different people. The person that answers is
- 14:39Speaker 3: the person that is the fixer. So go to the
- 14:42Speaker 3: website today, find that contact information and the location that
- 14:45Speaker 3: is most convenient for you.

- 14:58Speaker 2: just their amazing technology that they can send to your
- 15:01Speaker 2: office to keep it up and running, but it's an
- 15:02Speaker 2: award winning service team. Something happens, get it, get it
- 15:06Speaker 2: flipped and fixed fast, gcopnet dot com.
- 15:18Speaker 7: I don't practice sanchor Ria God no.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Crystal Tiger's turn talkers. This is off the bench, and that.
- 15:33Speaker 7: Sancho that she's found Papa Captain Sancho and slap.
- 15:47Speaker 2: But I really want to back fine my sole.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Daddy's gonna money.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I'm ber.
- 16:13Speaker 7: I got leave it up.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Yeah, welcome back again OTV.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Hey man, Hello, I just want you to know that
- 16:30Speaker 2: Taylor did some deep dive research and it's got my
- 16:34Speaker 2: back a little bit. A while I was honorable mention.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Turns out Joe Armstrong was a pretty pretty damn good quarterback.
- 16:44Speaker 6: You had thirty touchdowns his senior year, so I mean
- 16:48Speaker 6: that that's that's hard to be. He was a three
- 16:50Speaker 6: year starter.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Come on, two, your starting quarterback and to your starting
- 16:55Speaker 2: receiver in college. Hey, the other guy just looked it
- 16:59Speaker 2: up through for twenty almost twenty seven hundred yards and
- 17:02Speaker 2: ran for seven hundred thirty one touchdowns.
- 17:05Speaker 6: So why the hell was Joel Armstrong first team?
- 17:10Speaker 2: Good question?
- 17:13Speaker 6: So maybe you should have been. Maybe we questioned the
- 17:15Speaker 6: validity of everything.
- 17:19Speaker 8: Maybe we can get a recount. Matt Flynn never got
- 17:24Speaker 8: over it. I didn't have anywhere close to this. That's
- 17:26Speaker 8: our guys, will they like four times a game got
- 17:33Speaker 8: you didn't trust you? Derek Dealley, Sure didn't.
- 17:43Speaker 4: You trust them angles.
- 17:45Speaker 2: That's a recall back to our our combo jimboficial. Listen
- 17:49Speaker 2: what Derek said about Flynn. But hey, you ever cred
- 17:54Speaker 2: quarterbacks again? He can't play an I remember seeing Dooley's
- 18:01Speaker 2: face at Nike camp too. He was smiling very nice.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Little did I know as a seventeen year old that
- 18:09Speaker 2: was maybe sixteen at the time. He was just sitting
- 18:11Speaker 2: there judging my ankles, He bob, Can I mean I
- 18:15Speaker 2: would have been I would have been sixteen at the
- 18:16Speaker 2: Nike cam. Yeah, yeah, you got an lsu super young. Yeah,
- 18:22Speaker 2: I got you saw Yeah, if you saw Derek Dooley,
- 18:25Speaker 2: you know just you're good. Oh yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 18:29Speaker 2: I mean did you judge?
- 18:31Speaker 3: Maybe not Now did he try to put you on
- 18:34Speaker 3: a path to be the quarterback at Sam Houston State?
- 18:37Speaker 2: Maybe? Last time I saw him, he was not very
- 18:41Speaker 2: happy and not very cordial towards me. We had Cowboys
- 18:45Speaker 2: on the field on after the Cowboys game in twenty
- 18:48Speaker 2: thirteen when I was starting and we came back from
- 18:50Speaker 2: a twenty five three halftime or halftime deficit. Yeah, he
- 18:53Speaker 2: was not real happy. Look those things happen. You know,
- 18:57Speaker 2: they missed him recruiting.
- 18:58Speaker 3: I've said this before. Steve Sarkisian told me this. My
- 19:04Speaker 3: offer to USC never came through. And Steve Sarkisian was
- 19:07Speaker 3: standing on the table trying to fight because they had
- 19:10Speaker 3: just gotten my quarterback out of high school, John David Booty,
- 19:12Speaker 3: the year before, and so he was trying to get
- 19:16Speaker 3: the offer to go through me. And Pete Carroll says,
- 19:18Speaker 3: all right, ed talking to Coachoe your recruiting territory, you
- 19:23Speaker 3: get the final say and coach thumbs down. Oh yeah,
- 19:31Speaker 3: I mean I'm not going to USC anyways, but yeah,
- 19:33Speaker 3: but I love Coacho.
- 19:35Speaker 2: He went hold commentists on you. It's right.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Sar told me that he had the final say and
- 19:42Speaker 3: you got the A in the middle of casseum.
- 19:46Speaker 2: But instead, well he was up in fairness.
- 19:52Speaker 3: You know, I know, here we go, two star white
- 19:55Speaker 3: runner back. I got it at a lot of thumbs down.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Yeah, first team on district. I'll tell you that. Okay,
- 20:03Speaker 2: it was in the district.
- 20:05Speaker 3: I couldn't it was uh was West Monroe?
- 20:10Speaker 2: Rusting was for sure all right? Respect? Yeah, because you
- 20:14Speaker 2: know Kyle Wims might be listening. I don't want to
- 20:16Speaker 2: hate on rust and respect. Hydrated team? What about who
- 20:23Speaker 2: else do you think you went on? How do you
- 20:25Speaker 2: think they won all those games House in North in
- 20:27Speaker 2: North Louisian it's hydrated, that is, few of them, Okay,
- 20:32Speaker 2: not ev angel Is U l L hydrated a little bit.
- 20:36Speaker 2: They're in the regional kind of sort of not as
- 20:40Speaker 2: much as they should be about Louisiana Monroe, a little
- 20:42Speaker 2: tighter about Louisiana Monroe. No, we gotta fix that. Sure,
- 20:51Speaker 2: let's do that. What about the bulldogs up there in Rusting?
- 20:57Speaker 2: They have been in the past again, our budgets, budgeter restrictions.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Sometimes that's already to justify every Now they get given
- 21:05Speaker 2: some other you know, more high like lower quality products
- 21:09Speaker 2: at a cheaper costs at well, like freaks or a sponsor.
- 21:12Speaker 2: You know, you've seen their jugs on the sideline for
- 21:15Speaker 2: l s ull You see the jugs. Yeah, it's what's
- 21:19Speaker 2: in the drugs that matters. It's fair.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Did my hi get ul l into the Starkville Regional?
- 21:26Speaker 2: Can't prove that that didn't?
- 21:32Speaker 3: The courtesy chuckle there about Northwestern State trying to think
- 21:35Speaker 3: of colleges.
- 21:36Speaker 2: In the three one eight Northwestern Forkham demons.
- 21:40Speaker 4: Not are we just colleges and we're just gonna trying to.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Get all the ones in the three one eight. All right,
- 21:51Speaker 2: Grambling did at one point, okay, but not when Mickey
- 21:55Speaker 2: Mickey's a hiccut.
- 21:56Speaker 3: I remember, I remember who we spoke to him. Okay,
- 22:00Speaker 3: fair enough anyway, Go Tigers, Grahamlin Tigers.
- 22:11Speaker 2: I just hope Lady Jags listening downstairs. All right.

- 22:46Speaker 2: I don't like that thing of one in the chat
- 22:51Speaker 2: just said fun looks like he knows a guy who
- 22:53Speaker 2: changes shot tires for NASCAR. I don't know what that means,
- 22:57Speaker 2: but I liked it, and that made me laugh.
- 23:00Speaker 3: You did go to a NASCAR event. This is a
- 23:05Speaker 3: nice poncho shirt though, yeah I got the same one.
- 23:09Speaker 3: A nice mustache and a rope anything else, that's it. Okay,
- 23:19Speaker 3: good for you. I hate I hate when you look
- 23:29Speaker 3: like that. On the ways you have sports At dot net,
- 23:32Speaker 3: our guy Ross Jackson put together an OTA kind of
- 23:36Speaker 3: look at some of the different Saints position battles gonna
- 23:39Speaker 3: be something that you know is a long way, a
- 23:42Speaker 3: very long way away.
- 23:43Speaker 2: From actually playing out.
- 23:45Speaker 3: And he started with your favorite position, the star position,
- 23:49Speaker 3: talked about the backup center position, the running back, the receiver,
- 23:52Speaker 3: the edge rusher, a couple of different positions, and I
- 23:56Speaker 3: want to he's better than that. I wanted to start
- 23:59Speaker 3: at the running back position, because Travis h Chan comes
- 24:03Speaker 3: over big free agent signing fifty plus million dollars, he's
- 24:07Speaker 3: going to be your guy.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Then you've got Devin Neil who you drafted.
- 24:10Speaker 3: You got Odrick Estimey, who did actually come in and
- 24:13Speaker 3: play pretty well.
- 24:14Speaker 2: At the very end of last year.
- 24:15Speaker 3: You've got the forever questioning Kendre Miller, and then you
- 24:19Speaker 3: brought Ty Chandler over in free agency as well, a
- 24:22Speaker 3: little bit of an older running back compared to some
- 24:24Speaker 3: of the younger backups. And of course you've got Alvin Kamara,
- 24:28Speaker 3: and this is somebody that has some uncertainty certainly around
- 24:32Speaker 3: who he is and what he is going to be
- 24:34Speaker 3: for the New Orleans Saints. And it's not it's not
- 24:42Speaker 3: a situation where you see him getting traded because the
- 24:44Speaker 3: draft already happened, and so you don't assume that's going
- 24:47Speaker 3: to be the case. I don't expect him to get released.
- 24:49Speaker 3: I think if that would have been the case, they
- 24:51Speaker 3: would have already done that. I don't know what his
- 24:54Speaker 3: role is going to be now. The running back room
- 24:58Speaker 3: in general doesn't have a lo lot of money spread
- 25:02Speaker 3: out across the league. So when you already brought in
- 25:05Speaker 3: a big target free agent like a Chan. Are you
- 25:10Speaker 3: going to be okay with having that much money tied
- 25:12Speaker 3: into your running back room? And can you justify having
- 25:15Speaker 3: that much money tied into your running back room. I
- 25:17Speaker 3: think there's a path to play both of these guys
- 25:20Speaker 3: and actually benefit by playing both of these players. I
- 25:23Speaker 3: think they have skill sets that are different. I think
- 25:27Speaker 3: they play a little bit different as far as their style.
- 25:30Speaker 3: It's not completely different. It's not thunder and lightning type situation.
- 25:34Speaker 3: But I do think ak also could benefit from not
- 25:37Speaker 3: having to be the guy. There's things that he can
- 25:40Speaker 3: do out there. You can have twenty personnel, you can
- 25:43Speaker 3: have both of them out there at the same time.
- 25:45Speaker 3: I think that's you know, you could you could have
- 25:46Speaker 3: a pony package, You could do some different things with them.
- 25:50Speaker 3: And so if he's going to be there, utilize having
- 25:53Speaker 3: multiple running backs. If you're going to pay both salaries,
- 25:56Speaker 3: which obviously a chance is going to get paid he
- 25:58Speaker 3: just signed.
- 25:59Speaker 2: But if you're going to do don't just.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Have him out there and sitting on the sideline, because
- 26:03Speaker 3: he's not going to be a special teams guy.
- 26:06Speaker 2: He's way past that point in his career.
- 26:08Speaker 3: So if he's going to be on the roster, find
- 26:11Speaker 3: some ways to utilize him to make it make sense.
- 26:13Speaker 2: And this isn't like you know, I like to take
- 26:17Speaker 2: shots at you about running backs and the value that
- 26:19Speaker 2: they should have. But like most successful NFL teams don't
- 26:23Speaker 2: have two premiere running backs or showcased running backs. Right,
- 26:28Speaker 2: It's usually one and you got your change ups. And
- 26:30Speaker 2: usually the change ups are young athletic guys or a
- 26:33Speaker 2: different type of runner. You bring in a bruiser, if
- 26:36Speaker 2: you got more of a scat back like so it's
- 26:40Speaker 2: it's going to be enter. If it wasn't ak, I
- 26:43Speaker 2: would say, no, there's no reason to have contracts like
- 26:47Speaker 2: that for two unless each one of those guys can
- 26:51Speaker 2: get you a win. Now you have to judge, like
- 26:54Speaker 2: can your running back, whether the higher's pay, like how
- 26:57Speaker 2: many wins in the win call him in the season
- 27:02Speaker 2: are going to be Can we say that that guy
- 27:05Speaker 2: made that impact that helped us win that game. But
- 27:10Speaker 2: it's Alvin Kamara, like there is you know, that's why
- 27:13Speaker 2: this is tricky, because it isn't because he is. He's
- 27:16Speaker 2: been so loyal to the Saints and so that that's
- 27:21Speaker 2: why this whole situation is kind of hard to answer.
- 27:24Speaker 2: We know that he's still a good athlete, we know
- 27:27Speaker 2: that he can impact, but can can the impact that
- 27:30Speaker 2: Alvin Kamar making a game? Can it win you an
- 27:33Speaker 2: extra game this year? And that's how I would look
- 27:36Speaker 2: at it as the Saints. Now, if you say no,
- 27:38Speaker 2: I don't really know what to do, like because you
- 27:41Speaker 2: you know, as the Saints, and they might be thinking
- 27:43Speaker 2: the same thing. We don't want to trade him, we
- 27:45Speaker 2: don't want to cut him like what like, so let's
- 27:48Speaker 2: just find a place for him in the game or
- 27:50Speaker 2: let's play in the in the game plan. And he's
- 27:53Speaker 2: still I think that he still has really good football
- 27:58Speaker 2: ahead of him. Maybe not for that long, maybe not
- 28:01Speaker 2: that many as consistent as he used to, but he
- 28:04Speaker 2: still has impact plays in impact games, and I believe.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Just has to say, hell if he's utilized right, if
- 28:14Speaker 3: he does stay healthy.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Last year was not a banner year.
- 28:19Speaker 3: He had right under five hundred yards rushing four to
- 28:21Speaker 3: seventy one, only averaged three point six yards per carrey
- 28:24Speaker 3: and only had one touchdown, and he only had thirty
- 28:27Speaker 3: three catches Like that has been something to remember. Ak
- 28:31Speaker 3: started his first three years having exactly eighty one catches
- 28:35Speaker 3: in all three years, and then he had a season
- 28:37Speaker 3: where he had eighty three. Even going back the last
- 28:40Speaker 3: two years before twenty twenty five and twenty three he
- 28:43Speaker 3: had seventy five and twenty four he had sixty eight.
- 28:45Speaker 3: He had thirty three this last year. So the numbers
- 28:50Speaker 3: are what they are. We understand that. But if you're
- 28:52Speaker 3: going to have him on the roster, which it does
- 28:54Speaker 3: feel like at this point you're going to, there is
- 28:57Speaker 3: something that you can get out of Alvin Kamia as
- 28:59Speaker 3: a player, and this is going to be a different
- 29:01Speaker 3: situation for him because he's not going to be the
- 29:04Speaker 3: main guy. You just don't sign a fifty million dollar
- 29:07Speaker 3: running back and have him be the one B. He's
- 29:09Speaker 3: the one A, so now Ak gets to be the
- 29:12Speaker 3: one B. And again, if you're going to keep him
- 29:14Speaker 3: on this roster, I do think there's things that you
- 29:16Speaker 3: can do that are going to better your offense and
- 29:20Speaker 3: going to better what he can give you.
- 29:21Speaker 2: So and look, it's going to make him healthier. Right,
- 29:24Speaker 2: he doesn't have to take the lion's share of the carrier,
- 29:27Speaker 2: so he doesn't want to run into A and B
- 29:29Speaker 2: gapps like you don't have to do that with him, right,
- 29:33Speaker 2: Make k Chan do it so, like maybe it keeps
- 29:35Speaker 2: him healthier and makes him allows him to do his
- 29:37Speaker 2: third down stuff is getting out in routes and things
- 29:40Speaker 2: like that and running the screenplays like they like to do.
- 29:42Speaker 2: But if they wanted to move on, if they didn't
- 29:47Speaker 2: want him, Like, what are some realistic options you think
- 29:49Speaker 2: the Saints would do? Would they release him? Would they
- 29:53Speaker 2: trade him? Is that realistic to think trade right now?
- 29:56Speaker 3: I just don't think it's an option, not just because
- 29:58Speaker 3: the draft just passed, but like what's the value? Yeah,
- 30:00Speaker 3: Like and do you really want to get rid of
- 30:02Speaker 3: somebody that's given so much to your food?
- 30:03Speaker 2: There's no value now additional sixth or seventh round pick.
- 30:07Speaker 2: As you know, week three training camp, there might be
- 30:09Speaker 2: value might be with injuries around the league. There's people
- 30:13Speaker 2: that don't have trade value now in every position in
- 30:16Speaker 2: the NFL three weeks in a training camp, they might
- 30:19Speaker 2: have a huge value on them because of injuries and
- 30:23Speaker 2: plans going awry for different teams. I just don't see it.
- 30:30Speaker 2: I mean, but we always like to say I think
- 30:35Speaker 2: they're going to do right by the player, Like you know,
- 30:38Speaker 2: we should know better then we got this Cam Jordan
- 30:40Speaker 2: situation happening.
- 30:42Speaker 3: Which when we come back, that's the position group that
- 30:45Speaker 3: I want to hit on. Or also also mention the
- 30:48Speaker 3: Edge Rusher position battle group in Ota, so we'll talk
- 30:51Speaker 3: about that when we jump back here live from the
- 30:54Speaker 3: Raisin Kanes Studio.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Off the bench, I.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Go to Russell fools dot com Russell full dot com,
- 31:01Speaker 3: the website for Russell Pool Company.

- 32:13Speaker 1: On TV two thousand and seven. Champs Purple and Gold
- 32:17Speaker 1: to the core. This is off the Bench with Hester
- 32:21Speaker 1: and Flynn Baton, Rouge's go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 32:25Speaker 7: When without even know when I back right up and
- 32:30Speaker 7: drove down. Now I'm on a road landa swear to
- 32:35Speaker 7: my soul Ton'm gonna paint this town. So bring me
- 32:41Speaker 7: Tinglaus want one four each hand. Let's set sail with
- 32:50Speaker 7: Captain Morgan over never dry.
- 32:56Speaker 3: I had no idea who Captain Morgan was back in
- 32:58Speaker 3: the day, but I was singing the hell out the song.
- 33:01Speaker 3: I didn't know that he was talking about you know
- 33:03Speaker 3: the rum portion of this. I just thought Captain Morgan's
- 33:07Speaker 3: a pirate. Yeah, good man, welcome back in could be
- 33:18Speaker 3: maybe it was real.
- 33:18Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 33:19Speaker 3: OTV here Live for the Raising Kanes Studio talked a
- 33:22Speaker 3: little bit about some of the Saints position battles on offense.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Look at the running back group.
- 33:28Speaker 3: In the last segment, we're going to go over to
- 33:30Speaker 3: the other side of the football here now the edge
- 33:33Speaker 3: of rushers, because Flenn mentioned there is a Cam Jordan
- 33:38Speaker 3: cloud hanging over not just this position group but the team,
- 33:41Speaker 3: but certainly this position group. Chase Young and Carl Grianerson
- 33:45Speaker 3: expected to leave the room, but the rotation seems like
- 33:50Speaker 3: it is wide open. You do have new additions coming in.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Tyree Wilson, who will know by this point was a
- 33:56Speaker 3: former top ten pick of the Raiders.
- 33:59Speaker 2: You trade for him during the NFL Draft this year.
- 34:02Speaker 3: You're trying to revitalize his career, and not even maybe
- 34:06Speaker 3: revitalized because it never really got started in the beginning.
- 34:10Speaker 3: You're trying to tap into the potential that NFL teams
- 34:13Speaker 3: saw when he was coming out of college. Anthony Jennings
- 34:16Speaker 3: comes over as a veteran free agent late in the
- 34:18Speaker 3: process as well after the draft and you realize that
- 34:22Speaker 3: you had to go and get some depth because look, Diggs,
- 34:27Speaker 3: who you drafted a year ago, and I know Ross
- 34:30Speaker 3: puts like he's possible for a guy that can maybe
- 34:33Speaker 3: count on and be a breakout guy, he's gonna have
- 34:37Speaker 3: to like get Miles Better. Miles Better didn't flash a
- 34:42Speaker 3: lot for me last year, but you drafted him, so
- 34:45Speaker 3: you're gonna give him an opportunity. But there was some
- 34:49Speaker 3: rookie play in there, to say the least, and not
- 34:52Speaker 3: just like things where you say, oh, man, he's gonna
- 34:56Speaker 3: learn that. He's gonna figure that out, like he's gonna
- 34:57Speaker 3: have to go way up in his play if you
- 34:59Speaker 3: want to be able to count on him. And then
- 35:01Speaker 3: of course we get to the Camp Jordan portion of this.
- 35:06Speaker 3: He is somebody that led your team in sacks. We've
- 35:08Speaker 3: already broken it down and what he means to the franchise,
- 35:11Speaker 3: what he means to the city, we've already done that.
- 35:13Speaker 2: We've had that conversation.
- 35:15Speaker 3: But as we sit here and we get closer and
- 35:17Speaker 3: closer it is almost June, it is very surprising that
- 35:21Speaker 3: he is still out there and available. Now this could
- 35:24Speaker 3: be because Cam Jordan doesn't want to just go play
- 35:28Speaker 3: for anyone.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Maybe he's had some offers to go play.
- 35:31Speaker 3: He's like, I'm not going to go take a one
- 35:33Speaker 3: year deal for six million dollars if the Saints have
- 35:36Speaker 3: an offer on the table, which they do.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Micke Limis confirm that. But I also, like, I understand.
- 35:42Speaker 3: Cam wanting to stand his ground because he does feel
- 35:46Speaker 3: like he gave the team a pretty friendly deal considering
- 35:49Speaker 3: what he did a year ago. And look, I understand
- 35:52Speaker 3: the team right now, they've got a number set and
- 35:53Speaker 3: they're not wanting to budge off of it. But this
- 35:58Speaker 3: isn't just because it would be a feel good story.
- 36:00Speaker 3: I think it's because you really need him. Like with Granderson, Jennings,
- 36:08Speaker 3: Wilson Young, you need to add Camp Jordan back to
- 36:13Speaker 3: that group.
- 36:15Speaker 2: I don't know what it's going to take.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Eventually, like you said earlier about injuries, Eventually, an injury
- 36:21Speaker 3: is gonna happen and a team's gonna say, hey, go
- 36:24Speaker 3: go give Cam.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Oh are you asking for again? Yeah? Yeah, like that
- 36:28Speaker 2: type of deal we got you.
- 36:30Speaker 3: Like the Chicago Bears could really use an edge rusher.
- 36:33Speaker 3: I am shocked they didn't add one through the draft
- 36:36Speaker 3: or free agency or trade. Dennis Allen's a defense coordinator
- 36:39Speaker 3: in Chicago. He was the coordinator and the head coach
- 36:43Speaker 3: for Camp Jordan in New Orleans. You don't think that
- 36:46Speaker 3: if they get to camp and all of a sudden
- 36:49Speaker 3: they can't get a rush on the quarterback in practice,
- 36:52Speaker 3: that Dennis Allen isn't going to be knocking on the
- 36:54Speaker 3: door of the Bears GM.
- 36:56Speaker 2: I do you think so?
- 36:57Speaker 3: The last thing that you want, I think, is to
- 36:59Speaker 3: see Cam Jordan play on another team contender.
- 37:04Speaker 2: In the NFC. You got to think that if the
- 37:06Speaker 2: Bears were to reach out to Cam Jordan, it would
- 37:09Speaker 2: be high on the list because they are going to
- 37:11Speaker 2: be a bona fide Super Bowl contender this year. They
- 37:15Speaker 2: are so adding Cam Jordan to the mix. Who's got
- 37:19Speaker 2: the familiarity with Dennis Allen? And maybe that's not Maybe
- 37:22Speaker 2: that's why he's not signed with them already, because he
- 37:24Speaker 2: is familiar with Dennis Allen. And I would be shocked
- 37:30Speaker 2: if they hadn't already talked to him at least right
- 37:33Speaker 2: And I would assume that he's got a good relationship
- 37:35Speaker 2: with Dennis Allen, even though Denniszell threw him under the bus.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Probably they're all the players under the bus. Saints need
- 37:44Speaker 2: to sign him. I don't know why they just why
- 37:46Speaker 2: they can't meet in the middle. And maybe we're talking
- 37:49Speaker 2: out of our butts here because we don't know the conversations.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Oh we know is what we're assuming. He's asked for something,
- 37:55Speaker 2: Saints are willing to offer him a certain amount, and
- 37:57Speaker 2: they have not met in the middle. I don't know
- 38:00Speaker 2: if that's the fault lies within on both sides or
- 38:04Speaker 2: one side. We don't really know, but it seemingly it
- 38:07Speaker 2: does feel and look like at cam Jordan wants to
- 38:12Speaker 2: finish his career with the Black and Gold. Hey, that's
- 38:14Speaker 2: what it looks like. And I think the Saint should,
- 38:19Speaker 2: ever should do everything possible to do that, just not
- 38:21Speaker 2: from a performance standpoint, because of course he was the
- 38:24Speaker 2: leading sack sack leader last year for the Saints with ten,
- 38:28Speaker 2: but like it's the it's the leadership, it's the familiarity
- 38:33Speaker 2: that everybody has. It's kind of like at LSU with
- 38:36Speaker 2: with putting wit weeks out there, it's like I think
- 38:38Speaker 2: everybody can just breathe a little bit, a little bit easier. Now.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Maybe that will come maybe by the mid season. If
- 38:44Speaker 2: Cam Jordan was that, like it gets to that point.
- 38:47Speaker 2: But if he's there, I think there's probably a comfortability
- 38:50Speaker 2: with everybody, especially the veterans.
- 38:52Speaker 3: The thing also, and you know this, the thing that
- 38:56Speaker 3: not just what he did for you with his ten
- 38:58Speaker 3: and a half sacks, but the thing that also you
- 39:01Speaker 3: have to worry about a little bit. I didn't want
- 39:04Speaker 3: to use worry, but you do have to worry about it.
- 39:08Speaker 3: If Chase Young's out there and Carl Granderson's on the
- 39:11Speaker 3: other side, or whoever, Anthony Jennings, Tyree Wilson, and that
- 39:17Speaker 3: guy's never getting home, well, who's all the attention going
- 39:20Speaker 3: to go to Chase hung So the thing that Cam
- 39:24Speaker 3: did last year, because he was so productive, he didn't
- 39:27Speaker 3: allow that. So Cam had ten and a half, Chase
- 39:30Speaker 3: Young had ten. It's over twenty sacks for your d drushers.
- 39:35Speaker 2: You'll take that. Even if Camp does coact that, the
- 39:39Speaker 2: attention is still going to be on Chase.
- 39:40Speaker 3: It will, but it will be even more so like
- 39:43Speaker 3: if that guy's never wish his one on one battles
- 39:45Speaker 3: and he's never getting to the quarterback, Hey we got
- 39:48Speaker 3: him with the right tackle.
- 39:49Speaker 2: We're good.
- 39:50Speaker 3: We don't back now we don't need the back tight end.
- 39:52Speaker 3: Now he's gonna be over here. We're good, we don't
- 39:55Speaker 3: need any other help.
- 39:57Speaker 2: And if you.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Always fall into that, then Chase Young's number is going
- 40:00Speaker 3: to be six and a half. Not because he's playing bad, yep,
- 40:03Speaker 3: but because the attention that the defense is given him.
- 40:06Speaker 2: And look, I think it's a good chance for Mickey
- 40:09Speaker 2: and the front office to capitalize on what has been
- 40:12Speaker 2: a really good off season and a really good finish
- 40:16Speaker 2: to last season. And it's an opportunity for them to
- 40:20Speaker 2: capitalize in just the court of public opinion and the
- 40:23Speaker 2: fan base, the Saints fan base, like this is something
- 40:26Speaker 2: everybody wants. I think everybody can get behind. Right, you
- 40:29Speaker 2: sign him, you stay on a role, at least from
- 40:33Speaker 2: this fan base, from feeling good about all the moves
- 40:36Speaker 2: that you're doing. Now, if you move on from him,
- 40:38Speaker 2: it's a little bit of a black guy. Now, it
- 40:40Speaker 2: might be the right football move whatever, how y'all have
- 40:43Speaker 2: run the analytics or whatever, and you might be think
- 40:46Speaker 2: like you might think you're making the right football move,
- 40:48Speaker 2: which we would disagree with here at this show. But
- 40:53Speaker 2: it's a good opportunity for them just capitalize on a
- 40:56Speaker 2: really good finish to last year and a really good
- 40:59Speaker 2: off season in draft. I'm with you.
- 41:02Speaker 3: It would make a lot of sense on the field,
- 41:05Speaker 3: off the field, and just in the general direction that
- 41:08Speaker 3: you're going. You're number two, you made strideson your number one.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Have a guy like Cam Jordan who wants to be
- 41:14Speaker 3: there but also wants to feel valued. Be one of
- 41:17Speaker 3: those things that can continue to.
- 41:19Speaker 2: Push you in the right direction.
- 41:21Speaker 3: All right, we will step away more OTB when we
- 41:23Speaker 3: come back here live from the Raisin Kane studio. Off
