Trump Turns to Ghislaine Maxwell in Wall Street Journal Defamation Fight (6/3/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Epstein Chronicles. Donald Trump has reignited his fight with the
• 0:08
Wall Street Journal over the claims about the Epstein birthday card. However,
• 0:13
this time around, Donald Trump has added the fact that
• 0:16
Glayne Maxwell said that Donald Trump had nothing to do
• 0:19
with Jeffrey Epstein whatsoever and that she has no recollection whatsoever. Oh,
• 0:25
Donald Trump ever adding anything to that book. And for
• 0:29
all the people out there that think this isn't a
• 0:30
cover up, well, how do you explain this? Glainne Maxwell
• 0:35
gets favorable treatment by the administration, and then a few
• 0:39
months later, the administration is using Glaine Maxwell as an
• 0:43
anchor point for a lawsuit that they filed against the
• 0:45
Wall Street Journal. Oh yeah, nothing shady going on here.
• 0:49
Glainne Maxwell's not being hooked up. Do you think she'd
• 0:53
say the same thing if she was still in Tallahassee.
• 0:56
We won't know, right, We have no idea. Because she
• 0:59
was moved. She was moved to a place she should
• 1:02
have never been moved to. And I think it's obvious
• 1:05
now why that move occurred. Quid pro quo, right, help
• 1:10
me and I'll help you. And as far as Glene
• 1:13
Maxwell goes as a witness. Good luck. You're talking about
• 1:18
somebody who is one of the biggest notorious liars, maybe
• 1:21
in history. And I'm only half kidding when I say
• 1:25
that just about every word that comes out of this
• 1:27
lady's mouth is a lie, whether it's about Epstein or
• 1:31
anything else. And when it comes to Donald Trump and
• 1:36
his relationship with Jeffrey Ebstein in the past, are we
• 1:40
really gonna let Glaine Maxwell be the arbiter of truth?
• 1:43
I mean, have we really fallen that far that a
• 1:46
convicted child molester is the witness that the president of
• 1:49
the United States is relying on? I guess we have.
• 1:53
Today's article is from okay dot com and the headline
• 1:57
Donald Trump brings Glaine Maxwell into revie ten billion dollar
• 2:01
Wall Street Journal lawsuit over the Epstein letter. And you
• 2:05
know what's so funny about this? If it's a forgery,
• 2:08
if it's not real, then who forged it? How come
• 2:11
there is no gigantic FBI investigation into that. You'll file
• 2:16
a lawsuit, but you won't have the FBI investigate. Why not?
• 2:20
Are you scared of what they would find? Mister President?
• 2:24
I bet you are, because in my opinion that note's real. Now,
• 2:29
of course that note doesn't you know, say that Donald
• 2:32
Trump is guilty of taking part in any kind of abuse.
• 2:36
But it shows you how much he lies when it
• 2:38
comes to Jeffrey Epstein and the relationship they had. And
• 2:41
if you think covering something up is no big deal,
• 2:44
why don't you ask Nixon? And the author of this
• 2:47
article is okay? Staff President Donald Trump is reopening one
• 2:51
of the highest profile media battles, refiling a ten billion
• 2:55
dollar lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal over its reporting
• 2:58
of an alleged birthday letter sent to Jeffrey Epstein. And look,
• 3:03
what's he so concerned about? Just a letter, right, It's
• 3:07
all a big hoax. Epstein's just a nothing burger. He
• 3:11
never trafficked anybody to anybody, and he's just a lone predator.
• 3:14
So what are you so worried about, Donald Trump? Could
• 3:17
it be that all of that is bs and that
• 3:20
Donald Trump has a lot more skin in the game
• 3:23
than he ever let on, Because if the relationship was
• 3:26
nothing and there was nothing to worry about, then he
• 3:29
shouldn't be worried. But yet here we are with a
• 3:31
ten billion dollar lawsuit. The amended complaint comes after a
• 3:37
federal judge dismissed Trump's first lawsuit in April, finding that
• 3:41
the team had not sufficiently argued actual malice, the legal
• 3:44
standard public officials must meet in a defamation case. Well,
• 3:49
how is it malice? If it's real, we could get
• 3:51
to the bottom of this real quick. Have the FBI
• 3:54
run a test and see if it's real or not.
• 3:57
They want to run tests on everything else, right, Check
• 3:59
this one's handwriting, Check that one's handwriting. But now, Donald Trump,
• 4:04
I wonder why the lawsuit stems from a journal article
• 4:10
about a two thousand and three birthday album compiled but
• 4:13
for Epstein by Glenn Maxwell. The article described a lewd
• 4:16
letter allegedly bearing Trump's signature, which Trump has denied writing.
• 4:21
And in my opinion, that's a lie, and it's also
• 4:24
part of the cover up. I think Donald Trump is
• 4:27
so worried about being embarrassed that he's willing to go
• 4:30
the extra mile to cover this shit up. And a
• 4:32
whole lot of that has to do with his narcissism.
• 4:36
The guy just can't ever take an l It's always
• 4:39
somebody else's fault, it's always the other guy, when in
• 4:43
reality he should probably take a look in the mirror.
• 4:45
The House Overside Committee later released a letter in September
• 4:48
after receiving it from Epstein's estate. Trump's new lawsuit continues
• 4:52
to claim that no authentic letter or drawing exists, which
• 4:57
is bananas to think about. What do you mean no
• 5:00
authentic letter exists. They've turned it over to Congress, so
• 5:05
  you're saying it's a forgery. And if it's a forgery,
• 5:08
why isn't the FBI investigating? I would think that that
• 5:11
would be a gigantic problem. Somebody is trying to frame
• 5:14
the president of the United States and there's not a
• 5:17
gigantic investigation into that and who's behind it. It's all suspect.
• 5:23
Just like everything else that Donald Trump has said about
• 5:26
his time with Epstein. Trump's legal team is again seeking
• 5:31
ten billion, though the basis for that figure remains unclear. Intimidation,
• 5:36
that's what it's all about, this whole entire thing, just
• 5:39
like going after Massey, just like going after Marjorie Taylor Green,
• 5:43
Lauren Bobert, and Nancy Mace. It's all about intimidating people
• 5:48
to dance to his tune. And I just don't dig it.
• 5:51
I hate bullies and that's all this man does. He
• 5:54
just bullies people into going along with his nonsense, and
• 5:58
at some point you would hope that somebody would stay
• 6:00
up and say enough is enough. But I guess we're
• 6:02
not at that point yet. In the revised filing, Trump's
• 6:05
lawyers cite Maxwell's twenty twenty five interview with then Deputy
• 6:09
Attorney General Todd Blanche, now acting Attorney General. During a
• 6:13
sit down, Maxwell said she didn't remember Trump's submitting a letter,
• 6:17
card or note for Epstein's birthday album. Oh well, that
• 6:21
settles it. Glenn Maxwell has spoken up the arbiter of truth.
• 6:26
Let's just rely on what she says. Never mind that
• 6:29
there's an actual letter that was turned over to Congress
• 6:32
that looks a whole lot like Donald Trump's signature. So
• 6:35
did the estate forge that? Did somebody creep in there
• 6:39
at night and forge that letter when the estate was
• 6:41
sleeping and they knew that it was just going to
• 6:44
become a topic of importance. None of it makes sense.
• 6:49
And the whole lawsuit that's being filed by Donald Trump
• 6:51
is just reactive. That's it, reacting to the situation and
• 6:55
trying to control the narrative while at the same time
• 6:58
showing Republicans and anybody else that might speak up that
• 7:02
it's not a good idea, and if you're looking for
• 7:05
a reason, why, here are ten billion of them. Indeed,
• 7:10
Maxwell has stated subject to penalty of perjury for lying
• 7:13
to a federal officer that she did not remember President
• 7:16
Trump submitting a letter for Epstein's fiftieth birthday. The lawsuit states,
• 7:21
can you imagine being the judge and getting this argument,
• 7:25
I would laugh myself right out of the chamber, and
• 7:27
I would also threaten Trump's lawyers with Rule eleven sanctions.
• 7:31
This is ridiculous. The whole point of this lawsuit is
• 7:35
to try and kill the conversation. The timing could complicate
• 7:41
that argument. The Journal article was published before Maxwell's interview
• 7:44
with Blanche took place. The original story also said Maxwell
• 7:48
did not respond to a prison interview request. So look,
• 7:52
this isn't gonna work. I'm telling you right now, the
• 7:56
judge is not going to buy this. And if that's
• 7:59
all they have, they have nothing. So I'm really interested
• 8:04
to see how this all plays out, because right now,
• 8:07
as it stands, Team Trump has not a to move forward.
• 8:11
Trump must show WSJ its publisher Dal Jones and News
• 8:15
Corp Rupert Murdoch and reporter Kadija Saftar and Joe Palazzolo
• 8:20
knowingly published false information or acted with reckless disregard for
• 8:24
the truth. Judge Darren P. Gells previously found there was
• 8:28
significant evidence the journal had tried to determine whether the
• 8:31
letter was genuine. He wrote that Trump's denial alone did
• 8:35
not prove the paper acted with serious doubts. And that's
• 8:39
a fact. Trump panicked, That's what happened. He saw this
• 8:44
lawsuit come in, knew that he was going to be
• 8:46
pointed to as somebody in Epstein's inner circle, and he panicked,
• 8:51
and he did what every rich person does when they're
• 8:53
trying to kill the conversation. Filed the lawsuit. The amended
• 9:00
complaint claims that Murdoch told Trump, I'll handle it after
• 9:04
Trump called him to deny the story. Trump's lawyers argue
• 9:07
he reasonably understood that to me, and Murdoch believed them,
• 9:10
and that the article would not be published. Oh that's okay, though, right.
• 9:15
Let me just reach out to the boss of the
• 9:16
newspaper and press them. Is that really what we want
• 9:19
to happen. I don't want to hear shit when the
• 9:24
next president gets elected. If he's from the quote unquote
• 9:27
other team and he does the same thing, then it's
• 9:30
all about precedent. And if you're not going to call
• 9:32
it out now, you can't call it out then, and
• 9:34
vice versa, because for me, I don't care about your
• 9:37
political teams. In fact, those two political teams are the
• 9:41
reason we're in the position that we're in. Way too
• 9:44
many people have chosen party over country, and you see
• 9:48
it in every single argument, every debate, and every gigantic
• 9:52
issue that comes onto the table. But there's no way
• 9:55
anyone can tell me that they feel comfortable with the
• 9:57
president reaching out like that, trying to kill us. It
• 10:01
is completely unacceptable and I don't care what president does it.
• 10:07
The case adds to Trump's ongoing legal campaign against major
• 10:10
media companies. He previously secured settlements from CBS and ABC News,
• 10:15
while lawsuits against The New York Times and BBC remain pending. Well, look,
• 10:20
if you're talking bullshit and you're actually defaming people, that's different.
• 10:24
But I don't believe that he was defamed, at least
• 10:27
not by the Wall Street Journal. For now. The refiled
• 10:31
Journal lawsuit turns on a narrow but difficult question whether
• 10:35
Trump's team can prove the paper across the line from
• 10:37
aggressive reporting into actual malice, and that's going to be
• 10:42
a tough sell. Are they going to be able to
• 10:44
do it? I have my doubts, and the major doubt
• 10:48
I have is that the letter was forged in the
• 10:51
first place. I think it's real. And if the letter
• 10:53
is real, then that's a wrap for Trump's whole entire argument.
• 10:57
And if I was a betting man, I would bet
• 11:00
that that's what occurs. But like with everything else, we'll
• 11:04
keep an eye on it, and when we have some developments,
• 11:06
we'll get them added to the catalog. All the information
• 11:10
that goes with this episode can be found in the
• 11:12
  description box.
