- 0:00Hey there, everybody, it's Jeff. We wanted to let you know that
- 0:02we recorded this Table Talk podcast and episode on Monday, April twenty second,
- 0:08twenty twenty four. By the time you hear this, some things may have
- 0:11changed, but we hope you enjoy the show. What's up, everybody,
- 0:23You are listening to Table Talk here at the Philadelphia Sports Table podcast show,
- 0:27the longest running weekly Philly sports podcast show in the world. That's right,
- 0:30eleven years strong. We've got a great discussion coming your way here on Table
- 0:33Talk this week. I am so excited to talk to one of our good
- 0:36friends. He has been coming on this podcast for years and years and years.
- 0:41He is the editor over at Beleedinggreen Nation dot com. We're gonna be
- 0:45talking about this Eagles team the offseason, what is going to be happening with
- 0:48this upcoming Eagles draft as well. We got a great discussion, so let's
- 0:53just get right to it. It's great to have on the podcast coming back
- 0:56to us. And like I mentioned in the injury has been coming on for
- 0:59years, years and years. I wish we could talk to him every week.
- 1:02We can't, obviously, but he is the guy running the show over
- 1:06at Bleedinggreen nation dot com. He has a great pulse on what is happening
- 1:10with this Philadelphia Eagles team, this organization, what's happened in the offseason,
- 1:15and what we may see in this upcoming draft. We've got the one and
- 1:18only Brandon Lee Gout and blg Man. Thanks so much for jumping on the
- 1:22pod this week. Thanks for having me, Jeff. Glad to be talking
- 1:25into a microphone. That's always nice. Always have fun doing that. So
- 1:27glad to be here with you. Great. Great to hear your voice again.
- 1:30I will say I've been missing your voice in my podcast feed, my
- 1:34friend, but I appreciate that. Yeah, well, I mean, look
- 1:38like I said, you still have a great pulse on what is happening with
- 1:42this Eagles team and the organization too. Before we get into the draft this
- 1:46coming week, I wanted to talk about some off season storylines and some stuff
- 1:49that I've particularly been thinking about a lot. And first and foremost is the
- 1:53backup quarterback position. Because the Eagles once again got themselves who they deemed to
- 1:59be a pretty good backup quarterback heading into this coming season, and that's Kenny
- 2:01Pickett. It's a staple of this Eagles philosophy, it seems over these years
- 2:07get a quality backup quarterback and bialg I wonder if Kenny Pickett, only being
- 2:15in the league for two years, is truly already seen as a backup quarterback
- 2:20by many in the league based on the move that the Eagles made with the
- 2:23Pittsburgh Steelers, And I do wonder too, might the Eagles be looking to
- 2:28trade him at some point in the future, considering he still is a young
- 2:30guy. Again, he's only played two years in the league. What are
- 2:34your thoughts on what Kenny Pickett might mean to this Eagles team overall, what
- 2:38his future may actually look like. Yeah, so I was intrigued by Kenny
- 2:42Pickett coming out of pitt Obviously that was at a time where the Eagles potentially
- 2:46could take a quarterback. It was possible at that time. Wasn't unlocked,
- 2:50but they were certainly doing their homework on him at one point in time.
- 2:53So kind of had a general eye on him, just out of intrigue and
- 2:58just how he was really kind of light things up there at pit and I
- 3:00follow some pit people, so kind of, you know, was seeing a
- 3:02lot of hype about him. So I felt like I was kind of higher
- 3:05than consensus on him going into that draft, and then even going into last
- 3:09season when you know, the Steelers had that great preseason kind of like going
- 3:13back to the Eagles Packers and twenty fifty. Oh yeah, Sam Bradford,
- 3:17Yeah, Kenny Pickett had that kind of like electric preseason this past year going
- 3:22into twenty twenty three, and I thought he might make a leap. And
- 3:25the take I kind of had out there, which didn't age well, was
- 3:30like, I think Kenny Pickett can kind of make that leap that justin Fields
- 3:32thought people was going to make. Right now, Obviously that did not happen,
- 3:36and a lot of people want to talk about, you know how it's
- 3:38all Matt Canada's fall, and certainly I don't think that Canada was part of
- 3:42the solution and should have been retained. But at some level you got to
- 3:46see like something from the quarterback, and I just don't know what we really
- 3:50saw, having seen like a number of Steelers games and like those one o'clock
- 3:53slots and those playing every game on primetime, what it felt like last year.
- 3:57I think I saw a decent amount of the Steelers play and just never
- 4:00really passed the eye test, like I wanted him to, just didn't really
- 4:02see it a lot there. Again, I know the supporting cast offensive coordinator
- 4:06wasn't giving him every chance possible to succeed, but you wish he would have
- 4:11done a little bit more, I think with what he had. So I
- 4:14didn't really love the value that they gave up for him. I know it's
- 4:15not like a ton it's not the most and there is value in theory of
- 4:19having a quarterback on such a cheap deal like he is, because it's not
- 4:24as simple as just go out and sign a guy. Because look at you
- 4:27know, Mariota. Last year, you have like five million you got to
- 4:30raise. This year, he's at like six million. Back up quarterback money
- 4:31is like real legitimate money. So I like that he's on a cheap salary,
- 4:35but I just haven't seen enough from the player to fully believe in him.
- 4:40And I think there should be a true competition between Kenny Pickett and Tanner
- 4:43McKee, who did show promise last year. And I just kind of fear
- 4:46that they're going to really kind of just rig it in Kenny Pickett's favor.
- 4:49He's gonna get all the QB two reps. They're not going to give McKee
- 4:51A fair chance. That's what I would like to see, a fair chance.
- 4:54But I don't think they're going to do that. I swear to god,
- 4:56I was so concerned there for a split second when you said I hope
- 5:00there's gonna be like a competition between Kenny Pickett. I swear to god,
- 5:03I thought you were getting ready to say Jalen hurts for some reason. Oh
- 5:08my god, yeah, exactly. I don't know why I was scared.
- 5:11I was come. I was at a grind course show last night. I'm
- 5:13still very tired, folks. I'm tired. If you saw on Instagram Eric
- 5:16and I were a grind course show, it was. It was. I
- 5:18didn't get home till late. So as we're moving along here, I do
- 5:23wonder if Eagles Nation has been so incredibly spoiled And I think I know the
- 5:29answer to this by the offensive line over so many years that we just don't
- 5:33realize what not having Jason Kelcey on the line is gonna end up meaning perhaps
- 5:38to this offense. BLG plus we're gonna I mean, we're likely going to
- 5:43have a new starting right guard. That that's two players starting at new positions
- 5:47on the offensive line. I've been thinking more and more about this, and
- 5:50it's not like I'm just trying to come up with something to be concerned about.
- 5:54But the offensive line is everything to this Philadelphia Eagles offense in general.
- 5:59Do you have some concerns about the offensive line hitting into this season? Am
- 6:02I just like getting myself like a little too riled up here? No?
- 6:05I think it's fair. It's not that you're saying, and I'm guessing you
- 6:09know, the expectation is like, oh, they're going to be the worst
- 6:11offensive line. No one obviously is thinking that, But I think the thing
- 6:14is for the past however, many seasons here, we've kind of just been
- 6:17able to go into the year expecting he's have maybe the best offensive line or
- 6:21a top five offensive line, a really really elite level offensive line. You
- 6:26lose Jason Kelce, you haven't certainly at right guard, well maybe that drops
- 6:30off to outside of the top ten or around top ten all of a sudden,
- 6:32which is still certainly above average. It's a good offensive line, but
- 6:35just how good is it? And like you said, for a position unit
- 6:41that is so important and not just important in theory but also in practice of
- 6:45how the Eagles have had their best seasons, they've gone to the Super Bowl
- 6:47and won one. When their offensive line has been elite. You know,
- 6:51that's the standard, and if they don't quite have that, then yeah,
- 6:54you have to wonder what that looks like. And Jason Kelsey is a huge
- 6:58loss. And it's not like these are doomed without him. It's just in
- 7:01part like a testament to how great he is. You could kem Zagans can
- 7:05come in and be like an A plus level kind of replacement and still be
- 7:11worse than Jason Kelcey. Just yes, again, that's how good Jason Kelcey
- 7:14is. So I think it's absolutely valid, and you know, something to
- 7:15wonder about. Everybody keeps saying with regard to Saquon Barkley's coming in, he's
- 7:19going to behind be behind a better offensive line, and of course he is
- 7:24going to be behind a much better offensive line than the product that they would
- 7:27put on the field in New York during his tenure. But still I'm still
- 7:30thinking to myself, man, if they're running some plays, some running plays
- 7:33to the right side of the field, of course, love Lane Johnson out
- 7:36there right tackle, but from that right guard position and also the center position.
- 7:42Two New individuals there. Like, it's not that I'm thinking that we're
- 7:46getting ahead of ourselves in terms of Saquon Barkley, because he is a special
- 7:49talent. But I just want people to kind of pump the brakes a little
- 7:54bit in terms of what the expectations are going to be for the run game
- 7:58as well, based on where the offensive line is or isn't at this particular
- 8:01point of time. Again, it's something I have a little bit of concern
- 8:05about. Yeah, I think that's fair, and it's not as easy to
- 8:07just say they're definitely going to have that elite offensive line, so therefore Sakuan
- 8:11can just be, you know, the best running back in the league all
- 8:13of a sudden. It's not quite that simple. And really, I mean,
- 8:16right guard is like kind of one of the bigger questions on the team
- 8:20in terms of who is it going to be a lot of people think it
- 8:22could be Tyler Steen. I mean maybe I kind of wonder if he's just
- 8:24a tackle and not quite a guard, So I don't know. And you
- 8:28know, maybe who the Eagles take at number twenty two or if they trade
- 8:33up in this year's draft will kind of give us some more clarity there yep.
- 8:35Until then, we're kind of just wondering. We're definitely gonna get to
- 8:39that in a second. With regard to the draft, But again, another
- 8:43concern that I have from what has been happening this offseason as well, is
- 8:48that concern with the defensive line. BLG no more Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham's
- 8:52he's aged. As we know, Josh Sweat really dropped off at the end
- 8:56of last season, and Jordan Davis saw some drop off as well. So
- 9:01I guess, first, do you think the Eagles will look to acquire any
- 9:05more talent on the defensive line in terms of a you know, a possible
- 9:07trade or a last minute acquisition perhaps during training camp? I know that,
- 9:11I know you don't have a crystal ball, But second, where do you
- 9:16see them drafting defensive line talent in just a couple of days at the draft?
- 9:18Because I'm pretty sure we're gonna end up seeing it. Yeah, I
- 9:22mean, I was not a fan of the Sonoreti trade. You look at
- 9:26Fletcher Cox, I know in previous years, I don't he was really I
- 9:31thought he was really good last year. I wish, for legals sake,
- 9:33they had the version of Fletcher Cox. They got in twenty twenty three.
- 9:35Back in twenty twenty two, Be said that would have helped and maybe they
- 9:39win the Super Bowl if that's the version they got. But point being,
- 9:41you know, he was really good last year. You're losing that. Obviously,
- 9:43you're projecting Dale Carter to take a step forward. I feel everyone probably
- 9:48should feel pretty good about that. Still don't fully know what to make of
- 9:50Jordan Davis. He's flashed more than not at all to feel like, Okay,
- 9:52maybe there's something here. And defensive tackle could be a position that takes
- 9:56time and it takes players sometimes to get really to block fully into what they
- 10:01eventually become as NFL mainstays. So you know, I still think there's Hope
- 10:03Bridge, Jordan Davis there, and same kind of vein. We didn't see
- 10:07a lot of Nolan Smith last year. I was really high on him going
- 10:11into last year's draft. I was comfortable taking him at ten. I still
- 10:16think, you know, there's potential there, but it's just like kind to
- 10:18your point, there's a lot of what ifs and potential and projection. It's
- 10:22just not the sure thing. It's always been kind of like you just said
- 10:24with the dovinsive line too. You kind of just have question marks there.
- 10:28Yeah. Absolutely, well, all right, let's get in some draft talk
- 10:31right now. Into some draft talk, I should say, because Daniel Jeremiah
- 10:35has said that we shouldn't sleep on Howie Rose been trading up for a cornerback
- 10:39in the first round of the draft, and honestly, I'd be totally fine
- 10:43with him doing so. Talk to one of your good friends and our good
- 10:46friend the show, Shane Half last week, and he thought the same thing.
- 10:50You know, let's get that first round cornerback finally on this team.
- 10:54We all know it's been like one hundred years since Howie Rose drafted a cornerback
- 11:00round one. What are your thoughts here, BLG about what we might see
- 11:03in terms of a cornerback being drafted, maybe being drafted high, because I
- 11:09don't know, I just think it needs to happen this year. What are
- 11:11your thoughts? It makes a lot of sense, and you know, obviously
- 11:13I wouldn't. It's not just about the short term. It's not just about
- 11:16they need a quarterback right now, because that there's a decent chance whoever they
- 11:20take might not be your Week one starter might eventually, you know, work
- 11:24his way into that has the chance certainly to compete for that role. But
- 11:26it's not even if that doesn't happen. You know, Darius Slay is getting
- 11:31older, so you have to think it's about the future. It's not just
- 11:33about this season. And you know, I would love if someone like Terry
- 11:37and Arnold falls a little bit further than expected. I think he's a really
- 11:39good cornerback, yeah, and to be able to get and I think Philly
- 11:41fans will quickly learn to love that guy, yeah, and would appreciate him
- 11:46a lot. He hasn't really figured out up here. I'm pointing to my
- 11:48head because I just I've heard him talk and he certainly seems to just have
- 11:52the mentality and attitude of a corner in addition to you know, obviously the
- 11:56background and stats and track record as well. So I would be really intrigued
- 12:01by that. I think it makes the most sense for a team that obviously
- 12:03needed help at cornerback by the end of last year and how things sell apart,
- 12:07and still projecting it going forward. I mean, it's just like kind
- 12:11of a good problem to have quote unquote with Okay, James Bradbury is still
- 12:15here, maybe he returns the four maybe you cut him. Who knows.
- 12:18You don't really have to make that call right now. You have Keey Ringo,
- 12:20who showed some promise down the stretch last year. But you're not necessarily
- 12:24just putting all your eggs in that basket. You take a cornerback in the
- 12:26first round. Maybe he's the guy. Maybe you get a good result from
- 12:30Hilley Ringo, maybe it's him and Sleigh on the outside, and maybe the
- 12:33first round guy can kind of help out in the slot which is still a
- 12:35little bit unsettled there, even though you bring Avonte Maddox back. So there's
- 12:39just a lot of ways that could play out where there's different combinations that could
- 12:43make sense for the Eagles. Absolutely, and like you mentioned with James Bradberry
- 12:46kind of really falling off last year. I mean when you look at the
- 12:50stats and you look at you know, passer rating against him, one of
- 12:54the worst cornerbacks quite frankly in the league. I don't think he can fall
- 12:58out of a basement window at this point during the course of his career.
- 13:03There's nowhere I think but possibly up or just stable for him, which is
- 13:07why I think that you know, getting that cornerback in the first round.
- 13:11Somebody who could potentially step in right off the bat is something that would be
- 13:16good for this Vic Fangio defense. And speaking of vic Fangio's defense here,
- 13:22the need for safeties and linebackers BLG to cover an open space is going to
- 13:26be absolutely critical for this defense. We're going to be seeing some new things
- 13:30on the field this coming season. Are very much looking forward to it.
- 13:33I really think the Eagles need to get to a point where linebackers a priority
- 13:37in this draft, and if they can possibly acquire one through a trade,
- 13:41I'd be all for it. What are your thoughts on how they should be
- 13:45addressing the linebacker position here moving forward, whether it's with the draft or throughout
- 13:48this offseason. Well, they certainly have to do something because what do they
- 13:52have right now? You know what I mean? You have n Kobe Dean.
- 13:54Okay, we just haven't seen I think any kind of much of anything
- 14:00from him at all, even just going back to the past two years watching
- 14:03him in training camp, practices and whatnot. I've just I never saw him
- 14:07flash, not one time in practice, and you know, he had a
- 14:09highlight in the preseason game. But it's just hasn't been enough and obviously didn't
- 14:13really do a whole lot before getting hurt, and it's still kind of working
- 14:16his way back from that injury as well. I think, you know he'll
- 14:18be fine for the season, but still, you know you're coming off injury,
- 14:22so is he going to be slowed down by that at all? Who
- 14:24knows. Otherwise, you know, you're looking at Devin White on a one
- 14:26year deal. He has talent, kind of has some boom er bust potential
- 14:31there. You know, they add Orrin Burks, who's been more of like
- 14:33a backup special teams guy. It just don't have a whole lot at that
- 14:37position. So they're going to have to do something. And I think,
- 14:41you know, ideally you're looking at maybe like fifty or fifty three, one
- 14:45of those second round picks that the Eagles have, being able to use one
- 14:48of those, because obviously you're not going to draft one in the first round.
- 14:50It seems like that could kind of be where you find one, or
- 14:54if not, then early on Day three, I'm sure everyone will be clamoring
- 14:58for one at that point. If they do not somehow the linebacker on Day
- 15:01one or Day two. So I think you're gonna have to, you know,
- 15:03hopefully be able to find one around then, because look, it's not
- 15:09like the Eagles need the best linebackers in the league. Would that be great,
- 15:11of course, but you need to raise the like the floor from what
- 15:16you have. It's amazing that I'm missing a guy like TJ. Edwards.
- 15:18It's amazing I'm missing a guy like that. I mean, I mean,
- 15:22you talk about somebody who really developed through the system that was that was TJ.
- 15:28Edwards. I'm missing him to this day. BLG. Sure, yeah,
- 15:31And I think there's a lesson to be learned in terms of like the
- 15:33kind of linebackers maybe that the Eagle should be looking for. Because the big
- 15:35knock on TJ. Edwards, as we all know is and why didn't get
- 15:39drafted is because his athletic testing just wasn't good. But what sometimes matters more
- 15:43than that in a good foil for that is Davion Taylor, who tested great
- 15:48but just didn't quite have it figured out upstairs when it came to knowing how
- 15:52to play the linebacker position. Maybe you can find a guy later who might
- 15:56not necessarily be the most athletic freak, but can kind of really under knows
- 16:00how to play the game and it is fundamentally sound. So maybe that's something
- 16:03that Eagles can try to target. Absolutely again, folks talking to Brandon League
- 16:07out and BLG from Bleedinggreen Nation dot com. Check out all the great content
- 16:11they're putting up over there. You know, we do love our sp nation
- 16:15sites here at the PSD podcast show. And as we're moving along here BLG.
- 16:18As my co host Len and I talked about last week, and again
- 16:22I'll mention our mutual friend Shane Half and I we talked. We talked about
- 16:26this, how this Eagles coaching staff needs to get to a point where where
- 16:32they're giving draft picks significant amount of time on the field, and how necessary
- 16:37that's going to be moving forward. I think, I think it's such an
- 16:38important thing in this day and age in the NFL to get younger prospects and
- 16:44younger draft picks the experience that they need. Shane put out a stat last
- 16:48week that was incredible to me. I didn't realize it was like it was
- 16:52just over four hundred snaps that Eagles rookies last year played on the field.
- 16:59That is pathetic, I mean, and it wasn't the close second. I
- 17:03think was like eight hundred or something like that snaps. I could be wrong
- 17:06with the eight hundred, but like the second worst team in terms of that
- 17:11category, it was by far. They were far and away from what the
- 17:14where the Eagles were. I just think draft picks need to play on the
- 17:18field their rookie year in order to learn the game. I don't know,
- 17:22I wanted to get your thoughts, your opinions on, you know, whether
- 17:26it's keeping guys on the bench the first year or developing these guys and getting
- 17:30them playing time right out of the game. What are your thoughts on this?
- 17:34Yeah, I think this kind of goes back to what you know,
- 17:37Howie Roseman was asked about and Nick Sirianni both of them asked about that after
- 17:41the season at one point, and I think it was at the combine,
- 17:42and they gave conflicting answers, which is in great exactly at the same time
- 17:47is understandable from the standpoint of you know, Howie Roseman has job security,
- 17:51he knows he's going to be here, and he's thinking about, you know,
- 17:53these draft picks that he made. He wants to see him play.
- 17:56Nick Sirianni isn't so loyal to that. I as much as he's worried about
- 18:02how do I make the most out of today and how do I win this
- 18:04game Sunday? How do I win? Now that's you know, it's obviously
- 18:07two different kinds of focuses there, But I think there has to be more
- 18:11of a happy medium where these are finding snaps for these guys. I don't
- 18:15believe in just throwing rookies out for the sake of doing it, in part
- 18:18because you know, you're trying to build a culture, you're trying to develop
- 18:21a meritocracy. If there's a veteran who isn't playing and everyone thinks he's better
- 18:26just and there's a rookie, you know who's getting snaps over that guy,
- 18:30then you know people in the locker room are gonna have problems with that,
- 18:32and I think you're gonna lose credibility. So it shouldn't just to be about
- 18:36playing them no matter what, although I get the you know, want to
- 18:37do that, because yeah, you have to invest in the player what they
- 18:41could become over the course of a season. And again that's not something like
- 18:45thinks Togotte and probably is coounting for as much like keey Ringo might not be
- 18:48very good in week one but if you give him snaps over the course of
- 18:52the season, maybe the player you're getting in the playoffs is more developed and
- 18:56actually really good. So there's a balance there, and that's kind of hard,
- 18:59I think, to Shane's point and to your point, Jeff, kind
- 19:02of have to do a better job of finding ways to get guys involved,
- 19:04just like, let's look at Nolan Smith last year. Yeah, I mean,
- 19:07the pass rush was playing so many snaps, like Hassan Raddick and Josh
- 19:11Wett playing so many snaps that it's just hard to believe that they couldn't find
- 19:15a way to get them on the field. And obviously the fact that they
- 19:18didn't speak to a lack of trust at some level, right, But at
- 19:21some point, I think you have to let these guys think or swim a
- 19:23little more than they have. And yeah, I think it's a very valid
- 19:26criticism that they need to find the right spots to get these guys involved.
- 19:30Exactly, they couldn't get Nolan Smith in there like on a second nine every
- 19:33now and again, I wouldn't have mind seeing that at all. But as
- 19:37we're concluding our conversation here at BLG, I asked Shane this last week and
- 19:42I want to get your thoughts as well. At the end of the day
- 19:47when the draft is all said and done, after this weekend is done,
- 19:51the Eagles have made their picks. What are you hoping the theme of this
- 19:55draft will end up being for the Philadelphia Eagles. Yeah, I'm not like
- 19:59Eagles need to fill holes right now. You know, they do have a
- 20:02super Bowl window here. I believe that because especially Nick Sirianni is also on
- 20:07the hot seat in a sense, It's not like this isn't twenty twenty one
- 20:10where they're kind of like rebuilding or retolling. This is a team that has
- 20:15to win now. At the same time, I just don't think you can
- 20:18totally throw out the future. And I think that's kind of what I'm looking
- 20:22for. I would like to see, you know, obviously some finding help
- 20:25now if possible, but really ultimately prioritizing, you know, finding premium talent
- 20:30at positions of importance, in getting guys who you can project, who can
- 20:33help be part of this new core. Because you're moving on from Jason Kelce,
- 20:37you're moving on from Flexer Cocks. Obviously you have some guys in place
- 20:40that you feel good about as a core who can also be part of that
- 20:42next core too, that next generation of those kind of great players. And
- 20:45that's obviously a high bar, but I think that's what you should be shooting
- 20:48for, not just about, Okay, we need a quarterback right now,
- 20:49so let's just get a cornerback. If there's a player and obviously offensive lines
- 20:53going to be that question, if there's going to be a guy who might
- 20:56not be able to play right guard, might not be able to play this
- 20:59year, but could be Lane Johnson's replacement, and you know, I think
- 21:03that could be worth the risk, and I think that could be worth the
- 21:06investment if you truly believe in that guy as a true kind of difference maker.
- 21:11Again, it's not just about filling holes. It's about really kind of
- 21:15best player available, getting that premium Italian shooting for the stars with that all
- 21:19right again, folks, blg Brandon Lee Gouten from Bleedinggreen Nation dot com foll
- 21:23him on Twitter at Brandon Gouten. I think I got that correct, right,
- 21:29that's right. Been following you for years, I should get it correct.
- 21:30Well, it's confusing, you know, because it's the middle name.
- 21:33Say the middle name, you don't put it in the handle. Yeah,
- 21:36Twitter is the character limits, it's one too long. I can't do Brandon
- 21:38Lee Gouten, Yes, that will be one letter off exactly. Well,
- 21:42Buddy, I am so so thrilled that you were able to join us here.
- 21:45Seriously, You're always so good to take the time to jump on the
- 21:48psc podcast show with us here, Come back, join us down the road.
- 21:51Love talk more Eagles in NFL with you, my friend. You know
- 21:53I will just a few days away until that first round draft pick by the
- 21:59Philadelphia Eagles, what will they do? We've had some great conversations on this
- 22:03podcast platform over the past week. Last week, Shane Haff joined us.
- 22:07Go back in the podcast feed listen to that conversation on our last episode,
- 22:12and of course the discussion we just had with blg here. Look, folks,
- 22:17I don't know if the Eagles are gonna end up with eight draft picks
- 22:21like we think that they might be. I mean, that's how many picks
- 22:22they have. But we know Howie Roseman. He moves up, he moves
- 22:26down. He is going to make moves, and he's gonna be making moves
- 22:30to determine what's gonna be best for this team moving forward. For sure.
- 22:34And I think from last week, even when Shane was on too talking about
- 22:40the theme of this upcoming draft, and I agree with Shane in that the
- 22:45youth, the youth of the Eagles moving forward here laying certain foundations for the
- 22:49future, that's gonna be important. But it's also important that some of these
- 22:55whether first round picks, second round picks, that these individuals are gonna be
- 22:59able to some playing time on the field, like BLG and I were talking
- 23:02about, and like shaneon and I were talking about last week as well.
- 23:04So it's gonna be so interesting to watch this NFL Draft starting Thursday night.
- 23:11I'm gonna be with Lynn and Eric Friday and Saturday as well. We're gonna
- 23:15be hanging out watching the draft like we do every year. It's gonna be
- 23:18a good, good time. So that being said, we're gonna end this
