- 0:41The f A Hey, y'all, welcome today's show. The first question that
- 1:06I want to discuss in the radio Replies series very interesting. It's you as
- 1:15a convert to Catholicism. Myself, I've countered some very odd arguments this one.
- 1:23You can tell even the priest couldn't quite figure out how this person's mind
- 1:30works. One of the priests in radio Replies was a convert as well.
- 1:34I think he was Anglican who became Catholic. The questioner says, you were
- 1:40most ungrateful for your own change from Protestantism to Catholicism was due to the very
- 1:46freedom of thinking given you by Protestantism, and he answers, you were in
- 1:52a quandary, and that's for sure. I mean that's been pretty convoluted thinking.
- 1:57Catholics remain Catholics because they do not think. Yet thinking led me to
- 2:02become a Catholic. That's what the guy had charged just in you know,
- 2:06the previous question. He said that Catholics remain Catholics because they have never developed
- 2:10any reasoning power on the subject of religion, and his very next question says,
- 2:15the only reason you became Catholic was because you were started out as a
- 2:21Protestant, and he says Catholics. If you claim that Catholics remain Catholic because
- 2:27they do not think, how do you explain that thinking led me to become
- 2:30a Catholic. However, Catholics are free to think as much as they like
- 2:35about religion, and the more the better. The Catholic Church merely keeps him
- 2:38from thinking wrongly. Protestants are free to think whatever they like, apparently with
- 2:44no safeguard against error at all. And that is that's very, very true.
- 2:53You know, you can't have fifty thousand denominations at all disagree with the
- 2:58Catholic Church and disagree with each other and believe that there's any truth that they
- 3:05all agree on, because they don't. You know, I explained yesterday.
- 3:10There are various so called Protestant groups, such as your Jehovah's Witnesses, for
- 3:15instance, Mormons that do not even believe in the divinity of Christ. Do
- 3:21Jehoah's Witnesses believe that they are witnesses for Jehovah the Father. They don't believe
- 3:25that Christ is God, yet they still call themselves Protestants, or they get
- 3:30lumped in with Protestants. I don't know. Mormons believe that Jesus was born
- 3:36a regular man, just like everybody else, but by leading a very holy
- 3:39life, became essentially like God, and that so can everybody else. If
- 3:46you follow good Mormon teachings of Joseph Smith, you can be your own God
- 3:51in your own heaven. That's absolute heresy, that there is nothing about that
- 3:59that is valid Christian doctrine, even though they base the foundational principles on Protestant
- 4:11biblical teaching, or I wouldn't say biblical teaching, Protestant teaching about the Bible,
- 4:15will just go with that and then say that Joseph Smith got more revelations.
- 4:20Well, I mean, if you've wandered so far from the truth of
- 4:24Christ being God, then you're no longer a Christian. The person says,
- 4:31if all that you say is true, why is the British Empire Protestant?
- 4:35Wow a answer because the ancestors of its present members rejected and left the Catholic
- 4:43Church, setting up churches of their own. But the religion of the British
- 4:48Empire. But must the religion of the British Empire be the true religion?
- 4:55Is that the infallible test if Anglicanism is true because it is British, we
- 5:00may add, and because it is not French or Spanish, or Italian or
- 5:02German or Austrian, etc. In other words, because it is not the
- 5:06religion for all nations established by Christ. You know, that's really where we
- 5:13get into the debate with some many well, especially Baptists, especially Southern Baptists,
- 5:17just swear by the King James version or the Bible. They don't even
- 5:21believe that Bibles that existed before the King James are valid. The Bibles actually,
- 5:30you know, written by the Apostles themselves, the only Bibles that existed
- 5:35for about fifteen hundred years. They don't believe those are valid Bibles. So
- 5:41only quote from the King James version because it says on they're authorized, authorized
- 5:45by whom, authorized by the Anglican Church. You know, my ancestors fought
- 5:50two wars back to back to get out from under the British control, English
- 5:57control, the Revolutionary War and then in the War of eighteen twelve. In
- 6:00fact, one of my answertors appears to have fallen both. I mean imagine
- 6:04that as a young man in the American Revolution and as a man of about
- 6:09fifty in the world at War of eighteen twelve, you know, being predominantly
- 6:16Irish. I have a no belief that there's anything wonderfully special about the English.
- 6:24I mean, the Irish are the most enslaved people on Earth because the
- 6:28English decided they weren't even human. I mean, at one point, the
- 6:33English even moved half the population of Ireland out of England and out of Ireland
- 6:40native Irish, who had been there for thousands of years, moved them out
- 6:43of Ireland and tried to replace them with Scots. Then the Scots didn't get
- 6:47along too well and they moved them out. And that's why there's so many
- 6:50Scots in North Carolina. I mean, that's why Flora MacDonald came to North
- 6:55Carolina. You know. Not sure why people think there's anything super spectacular about
- 7:02the English. They just seem to think very well of themselves, that's for
- 7:06sure. But just what this last weekend in the very cathedral in England where
- 7:15sat I believe Saint Thomas Merton. St. Thomas Merton was assassinated, one
- 7:20of the greatest Catholic saints of England's history, was assassinated while saying mass by
- 7:29officers of the king because he, you know, criticized the king. It's
- 7:35now an Anglican Church cathedral. Of course, they took everything Catholic, confiscated
- 7:42it, and this past weekend they had a disco rave party there. Not
- 7:48exactly treating a holy site in a holy manner, I would say, and
- 7:55we'll do one morning for this person, because the answer is rather long,
- 7:59and then get into the thrust of the show the main subject. The person
- 8:03says, but surely the majority of the millions of Protestants would realize their mistake
- 8:09if they are indeed mistaken. They would on any other as he would on
- 8:13any other important subject, if only that were true. As I mentioned yesterday,
- 8:18you know, when I was at a certain southern Babtist university, the
- 8:22big thing that caused people to turn against me was I questioned the doctrine.
- 8:28And it was such a super simple question. I didn't even know I was
- 8:31offending people. Just just like blew everybody's mind. They don't allow dancing at
- 8:37this Southern bablished university. And I said, so, let me get this
- 8:41straight. You base all your beliefs in the Bible, and we know King
- 8:46Solomon danced for joy, but you say dancing is immoral and wrong. How
- 8:52do you get that from the Bible? And I mean dead, silent scowls,
- 8:58And no one would answer my question. They were completely discouraged from looking
- 9:03into the history of Christianity, from reading the early Church fathers, or questioning
- 9:09their own doctrine, which, as I began to question it ignorantly, began
- 9:15to become glaringly obvious that it wasn't valid. They said it was a sin
- 9:20to drinking and a drop of alcohol. I said, wait a minute,
- 9:22Jesus made wine. He said it was worse to lead someone astray than actually
- 9:28sin yourself, and yet he made wine and gave it to people to drink.
- 9:31If Jesus sinned, he's not God. You can't have it both ways.
- 9:33Wow. They hated that. Then I started questioning things like, you
- 9:37know, their doctrine of once saved, always saved, which is absolutely opposite
- 9:41of what the Bible says. Oh, and I mean the first one I
- 9:46just backed into my mistake was when they told me that Catholics weren't really Christian
- 9:50and were not allowed to read the Bible. And I had known enough Catholics
- 9:54and been exposed enough Catholicism to know that Catholics were indeed quite devout and read
- 10:01their Bibles a whole lot. In fact, my hero William F. Buckley
- 10:05Junior was quite the biblical squalor, as was his friend Brent Bozell. So
- 10:11when I just raised that point, they said, no, we don't believe
- 10:13that. What do you mean you don't believe it's the truth? Our doctrine
- 10:16says otherwise, and that's what we believe. Why do you believe it because
- 10:20based on the Bible. But I said, the Bible says differently than what
- 10:22you're saying. We don't believe that. You know, it was fun,
- 10:28Yeah, it was real fun. So the prest answers, though it is
- 10:31not certain that men would realize their mistakes on other subjects. In political and
- 10:35national affairs, men differ hopelessly, and absurd political politicians and absurd political policies
- 10:45seem to find followers. That's for sure. You got almost forty percent of
- 10:52the population that still thinks Joe Biden's doing a bang up job. And the
- 10:54demitted, lunatic, desiccated moron can't even form a coherent sentence or find his
- 11:01way off of stage. You know, you've still got people that embrace communism
- 11:07and Marxism and socialism, even though it's killed two hundred million of its own
- 11:13citizens in just the past couple of decades through forced starvation and concentration camps and
- 11:18forced abortions, and you know, like in horrible things that happened in China.
- 11:24I mean, if you want nightmares, read about what the Chinese did
- 11:30to their own citizens. Well, anyway, Yet, even granted that men
- 11:35would realize their mistakes in other matters, they would not therefore realize the falsity
- 11:41or the Yeah, the falsity. I thought he was gonna say fallacy,
- 11:43But falsity of Protestanism. In the first place, religion is very different from
- 11:48other matters. It is not here a question. It is not here a
- 11:54question of merely intellectual admission. The acceptance of Catholicism is a complex matter,
- 12:01demanding the adherents of mind, heart, and will under the influence of God's
- 12:05grace. The absence of one or another necessary condition can mean the dimming of
- 12:13one's powers of comprehension. And until a man sees the truth of Catholicism,
- 12:18he is liable to rest more or less content with the religion he has.
- 12:24Again, Protestant prejudice is a real, if unrealized force in the education under
- 12:30the influence of Protestantism, a force blinding people to the defect to the defects
- 12:35of Protestantism and to the merits of Catholicism. So true, you know,
- 12:37I write so much in my book Confirmation and Autobiography of Faith about how,
- 12:43you know, growing up, the school was well, one of the main
- 12:48ones I attended. This would be like junior high through early high school before
- 12:52I went to a back to a public school which was absolutely Marxist. But
- 12:56I did actually get to attend a really great, really great private school for
- 13:01a while, which were they called, you know, a classical education all
- 13:05that, but it was under the auspices of the Presbyterian Church and essentially the
- 13:11Masonic Order, and the history that we were taught was utterly false, just
- 13:16abricate, absolutely fabricated to fit their narrative. I had to unlearn a lot
- 13:24of really fake propaganda. And you know, that's another big reason why I
- 13:30became Catholic. And I mean, you may think it's shocking, you know,
- 13:31they would teach you false stuff in school, but well they do that
- 13:35in public school every day. Under you know, secular humanism, Marxism,
- 13:39whatever is driving that. But you know, just look at the film Birth
- 13:43of a Nation. When Werrow Wilson was elected president. He was a Masonic
- 13:50member and he was one of the heads of the k Klux Klan. And
- 13:54the first thing he did once he got a little money and influence was put
- 13:58together a film Birth of the Nation, which showed the k Klux Klan as
- 14:03the savior of America. Yeah, it's democratic, you know, he was
- 14:09a Democrat president. He was the first progressive Democrat president. I mean,
- 14:15he and FDR were the guys that started the whole socialism and big government programs
- 14:22and the United Nations and all that. Democrats don't what it meant that their
- 14:26founders. I mean, he was so racist that in Birth of a Nation,
- 14:31the black folks in the movie were made to look like apes. I
- 14:35mean, it's really it would probably shock you today, but just remember,
- 14:41I mean Robert Byrd was still the Democrat senator from West Virginia just a few
- 14:46years ago, who was a good friend of Joe Biden. Biden always says
- 14:50he served proudly with him and they were great friends. Joe Biden was the
- 14:54what they call the Klegal. He was the head of the k Klux Klan
- 14:56in West Virginia, and he was a progres us, a Democrat, you
- 15:01know, Hillary Clinton's hero, Margaret Sanger, supported abortion and even gas chambers,
- 15:07but especially abortion through eugenics to eradicate, to get rid of all black
- 15:13people, Mexicans, Jews, and Catholics. They you know, racism is
- 15:20part and parcel of the Democratic Party, at least in its modern form.
- 15:30And when that combines with Masonic Order, who has its you know, main
- 15:37tenants as being the destruction of the Catholic Church and all monarchies. Yeah,
- 15:45it's a pretty powerful force. And my word, you talk about destructive.
- 15:52You know, it was members of the Masonic Order in the Defense Department who
- 16:00did not tell the President that communists were getting ready to take over China and
- 16:04our ally. I'm not gonna get into all the details, but they were
- 16:08a lot better off than they are now. Was asking for our help,
- 16:11and we could have helped stop the Communist revolution that's led to the deaths of
- 16:15millions of people and is now endangering our own country as China is, you
- 16:21know, on the brink of nuclear war with us. It was the Masonic
- 16:26Party the Masonic Order and the Democratic Party that allowed, if facilitated, would
- 16:32be the best way to put it, kept it secret from the President of
- 16:34the United States, in absolute treasonous actions. Yeah, and it's really that
- 16:44bad. And you know, now you look at Soros and Claus Schwab and
- 16:49all that, they're the same. Ilk. Absolutely, they're you know,
- 16:53progressive socialists whatever you want to call them, Masonic influencers. Pretty darn bad
- 17:03folks in my opinion. Yeah, pretty darn bad folks, all right.
- 17:10So anyway, the priest finishes this up. I remember a man who went
- 17:15through many forms of Protestantism, ending in agnosticism, and who replied to my
- 17:19question as to whether he had ever studied Catholicism. No, but Catholics can't
- 17:25be right. That's actually the exact same thing I was told at a certain
- 17:29Southern Baptished university. Protestantism had ceased to grip him positively, yet still left
- 17:36the negative poison in his system. That Rome must be wrong. I would
- 17:41not even consider it, he said. Finally, and especially with Englishmen,
- 17:45the Protestant religion has been so blended with nationalism that it has become a matter
- 17:51of sentiment and Patriotism, its adherents go far more by feeling and emotion than
- 17:57by reason and true faith, true even to this day. I mean,
- 18:03you know, my mom's a fan of Downton Abbey. I hated the show,
- 18:06but you know I watched a few episodes, and the head of the
- 18:11manor lord whatever, you know, the main guy on the show, I
- 18:14don't remember his name. Like I said, I didn't like the show.
- 18:15He's asked about Catholics and he said that he hates Catholics. He says there's
- 18:19something foreign about them, that you know, they're not loyal Englishmen. And
- 18:26yeah, that is the attitude of England to this day, and really the
- 18:32attitude on which America was founded. Indeed, it has been strongly, yet
- 18:37not without a degree of truth, that when an Englishman enters his church,
- 18:41he leaves his brains on the doormat. In other words, the average Protestant
- 18:45gives little real thought to his religious position at all. And that may sound
- 18:51harsh, but it is true, and it's very understandable. Most people receive
- 18:56their religion from their parents, who receive it from their grandparents, and all
- 18:59that, and to consider changing denominations, for instance, if your parents have
- 19:04been Methodists, for Baptists or Anglicans, even more so for four or five
- 19:10generations. It feels like a betrayal of your family, you know. I
- 19:14remember very well. I had just recently converted, and I was in the
- 19:18mountains of North Carolina, and I took a few classes at a Presbyterian college,
- 19:22which is a very expensive mistake. But I met a beautiful girl there,
- 19:27intelligent, she was actress in a model, you know why, and
- 19:32Willy Willowy, you know, very pretty, and we got along great and
- 19:37actually fell very much in love. And we're seriously discussing marriage. And even
- 19:45though she was Presbyterian, she said that she thought she ought to belong to
- 19:51the church that her husband belongs to, and so certainly she would convert to
- 19:55Catholicism if we were to marry, when the children be raised Catholic and everything
- 19:59was going well, her parents did not agree, and her grandparents certainly didn't
- 20:02agree, and her aunt was quite vocal on that, and that's eventually what
- 20:07broke us up. She said she could her dream was to sit on the
- 20:10same pew with her parents and grandparents, with her husband and children. And
- 20:14if I wouldn't convert to Presbyterianism. She couldn't marry me, and that was
- 20:22the end of it, because I said, we went through the Bible,
- 20:26and she said, what about this teaching of the Catholic Church? What about
- 20:30And I would show her in the Bible, and you know, I was
- 20:33using both a Catholic and a Protestant Bible, and I showed. You know,
- 20:36she got She said, well, how can you confess your friends sins
- 20:38to a priest? And that only God can forgive sins? And I turned
- 20:41to you know, Gospel John where Jesus tells his apostles and his disciples in
- 20:48general, those who sins you forgive, they are forgiven. Those who sins
- 20:52you retain, they are retained. She couldn't answer that. It upset her
- 20:56greatly. She went apparently went home and talk with her parents and grandparents about
- 21:00it and then broke up with me rather than accept the actual words of the
- 21:07Bible. That was the end of our relationship, well, it was the
- 21:10beginning. At the end. Get lasted another couple of months, and neither
- 21:15one of us acted very well and did not actually end on good terms.
- 21:21You know, that's what happens when your heart gets broken. But as far
- 21:23as actual reason. It wasn't he so getting onto our main subject, Jesus
- 21:32Christ is Lord. And you know I'm not just beating up on the Presbyterians
- 21:36here. The same thing happened to me with a gorgeous Mormon girl ten years
- 21:38ago. We were the probably the best match of anyone I've ever met,
- 21:44and were totally in love. And she really did not like the Olds Church,
- 21:51and she was fully ready to convert to Catholicism. And suddenly she disappeared.
- 21:59Yeah, I mean when her family found out she was going to become
- 22:02Catholic, she disappeared. It took me six years to track her down in
- 22:08another state, living with a relative, essentially I say, brainwashed. And
- 22:18yeah, that was probably the most painful thing I've ever been through. I
- 22:23mean, you know, you got you're engaged to be married, You're spending
- 22:29every you know, waking moment talking with this person there, you know,
- 22:34and she suddenly she disappeared, I mean just disappeared, no word gone knowing.
- 22:41If her family would talk to me, I would call her father,
- 22:45her sisters, could you just tell me if she's okay, I mean,
- 22:48what's happened. They wouldn't take my calls. They'd hang up on me if
- 22:52I happened to get through. It was bad. I mean it was really
- 22:59really bad. And somehow they moved her about two thousand miles away from her
- 23:03home, and at one point I believe they even had her declared mentally incompetent.
- 23:08And I mean she's a very smart girl. So yeah, just because
- 23:15people stay loyal to their religion doesn't mean they even always have a choice,
- 23:19you know. So Biospirago's Exhausted Catechism of the Catholic Church under the heading Jesus
- 23:30Christ is Our Lord. Christ's last words at the Last Supper. No,
- 23:36Christ's words at the Last Supper were you call me Master and Lord, and
- 23:40you say, well, for so I am. That is John eighteen thirteen.
- 23:45We call Christ our Lord because he is our creator, redeemer, lawgiver,
- 23:48teacher, and judge. Christ is our creator. And him were all
- 23:53things created and heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, And by his
- 23:57son God made the world. That's a reference to Hebrews one, first two.
- 24:03Maybe I think Saint John calls Christ the word and says, without him
- 24:07was made, nothing that was made. It's a difficult way of saying that
- 24:12everything that was made was made by him. Let's put it in the positive.
- 24:17John one three. Christ is our redeemer. By him we are set
- 24:21free from the slavery of the devil Peter one eighteen. Hence the apostle says,
- 24:26know ye not that ye are not your own, for you were bought
- 24:29with a great price. It's from Corinthians. He also our lawgiver, for
- 24:33he developed the teaching of the Ten Commandments and gave two precepts of Love.
- 24:38He called himself Lord of the Sabbath in Luke chapter six five, Luke sixty
- 24:45five. Another issue we have with like some Protestant groups like the Seven Day
- 24:51Advents, that say that Jesus had no right to change the Sabbath from the
- 24:56Jewish Sabbath to Sunday. He actually did because he is Lord of the Sabbath,
- 25:04and he gave the authority to his apostles to organize the religion of the
- 25:10New Church of Christianity, which he made quite clear, and they made even
- 25:15clearer, was distinctly different from Judaism. The Christian Sabbath is Sunday because it's
- 25:21the day our Lord rose from the dead. He died on the Jewish Sabbath,
- 25:26suffering all penalties for sins under the Law of Moses and rose again on
- 25:32the Christian Sabbath of Sunday. We are Sunday people. You know, just
- 25:37ask what days Easter, Easter Sunday. Why is Easter Sunday. Well,
- 25:41that's the day Christ rose, and that's the day we go to church.
- 25:44Duh. I mean, come on, You've got to be willfully ignorant or
- 25:49really led astray to believe that. I mean, it states in the d
- 25:56dot K, before the Bible was even written, the twelve Apostles got together
- 26:00said Christians go to church on Sunday, distinctly different from the Jewish Sabbath.
- 26:03So we know that Christianity has practiced Sunday worship from its very conception, from
- 26:11its very first day, from Pentecost Sunday, another Sunday we celebrate when the
- 26:18Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles and two thousand Jews were baptized and became Christian.
- 26:26There's no secret about it. If you have any knowledge of the history
- 26:29of Christianity, you know that Christians have always worshiped on Sunday from day one.
- 26:34But ignorant people who are totally cut off from history don't understand that and
- 26:45especially fueled by anti Catholic prejudice, claim that we're going to Hell and we
- 26:48worship Satan because we go to church on Sunday. If that were true,
- 26:53the people who wrote the Bible, the people who gave you the Bible,
- 26:57the people who have built the churches, the people who were the only Christian
- 27:02church for fifteen hundred years, and then every Christian church after that until about
- 27:07the nineteen twenties when a couple of loons started saying you had to go church
- 27:12on the Jewish Sabbath. There was no you're seeing me, There was no
- 27:17valid Christianity for two thousand years until you know, about nineteen twenty, when
- 27:22you know, some backwoods country preacher came out with these bigoted, prejudiced ideas.
- 27:29No, that doesn't actually make any sense. There's no historic foundation for
- 27:33it. There's as little historic foundation for that as there are these great cities
- 27:40that Joseph Smith said were here before, you know, two thousand years ago.
- 27:45Metropolis is built by Native Americans, and Jesus, after he rose from
- 27:51the dead and present himself to the apostles, came to American preach to the
- 27:53Indians. There's no archaeological evidence those cities didn't exist. The whole thing made
- 28:00up or demonically inspired. You know, much like Mohammed was very likely his
- 28:10prophecies and visions were probably given to him by demons, the same is very
- 28:15likely true. I would almost be Yeah, I'm going to say ninety nine
- 28:22point ninety nine percent true a likelihood. For Joseph Smith and for the founders
- 28:27of the Jehovah's Witnesses, who, boy, that was an interesting bunch.
- 28:33The Seven Day adventis another bunch of really odd. I mean, I can't
- 28:37remember if it was the adventist for the Witnesses. One of their founders had
- 28:41been arrested several times for selling magic beans and false cures for cancer, and
- 28:47when the money started coming in from this new church he had founded, said
- 28:51he had to buy a big limousine to drive around Moses and Elijah who were
- 28:55going to come back from the dead, and he was going to be their
- 28:57chauffeurs. I mean, this stuff is, but you know, ignorant,
- 29:03illiterate people fell for it. And now those are the grandparents, great grandparents
- 29:07of the people who come and knock on your door and tell you Catholics are
- 29:11going to hell because we go to church on Sunday. Pretty crazy stuff.
- 29:15There's great book called the Essential Catholic Survival Guide. It's got the history of
- 29:19the various denominations in it, and you're going to want to have a copy
- 29:25of that on hand if you live in an area where like where I do.
- 29:29Where actually there's a very large Jehovah's Witness population and a large seven Day
- 29:33out of it is population, and a large Mormon population, and they do
- 29:37like to come knock on your door of a few days and till you're going
- 29:40to hell. So Christ is our t shirt because he taught men to be
- 29:47like God. And in John what is that thirteen thirteen, he calls himself
- 29:51our master. Christ is also our judge, for he will come again in
- 29:53glory to summon all mankind before his judgment, his judgment seat, and separate
- 30:00the sheep from the goats. That's Matthew thirty two. Then will the just
- 30:07as well as the wicked, address him, saying, Lord, when did
- 30:11we see the hungry or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked or sick
- 30:14or in prison? He is That's also from Matthew. He is the Blessed
- 30:19and only Mighty, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, to whom
- 30:23the honor and empire everlasting. Amen. That's from Timothy. And I'm actually
- 30:30gonna wrap this one up here. We have discussed the Father, we have
- 30:34discussed the Son and tomorrow God willing as Hank Williams, as you say,
- 30:41the Good Lord willing, and the creek don't rise. We will discuss the
- 30:45eighth article of the Apostles Creed the Holy Ghost. And I think you're gonna
- 30:52find this very interesting. I mean, I think especially all right, so
- 31:00you know, everyone who calls themselves a Christian professes to have knowledge and belief
- 31:06in Christ. Right, there is probably more misunderstanding outside of the Catholic Church
- 31:17about the Holy Ghost than about either of the other two persons of the Trinity.
- 31:22I mean, the Father is very much written about and explained in the
- 31:26Old Testament, the Sign is very much written about and explained in the New
- 31:30Testament. There is mentioned throughout of the Holy Spirit obviously, or the Holy
- 31:36Ghost was once more commonly said, but very little explanation. Really, everything
- 31:42we know about the Holy Spirit comes to us through the Catholic Church through information
- 31:51and you know, revealed truths given to the Apostles the Holy Apostles and the
- 31:57saints that followed them in the first centuries and really through the full two thousand
- 32:02years of the Catholic Church. And really, I mean, the Trinity is
- 32:09not explained at all in the Bible. I mean, Jesus says baptized in
- 32:15the name of the Father and Son of the Holy Spirit, but he doesn't
- 32:19explain at all who the Holy Spirit is. We know at Pentecost Sunday,
- 32:22the Spirit came upon the apostles. We know, you know, the revelation
- 32:28or apocalypse of Saint John. He was taken up in the Spirit. It's
- 32:31mentioned, but never explained as a person of the Trinity. And as someone
- 32:37pointed out to me, I guess it was just yesterday the day before.
- 32:39Understanding the Trinity is probably the most difficult thing in Christianity. It is a
- 32:45true mystery, and you don't find really any valid teaching on the Holy Spirit
- 32:55that does not have its origins in Catholicism. As you know, a Jewish
- 33:00person, maybe it would tell you as much about the Father as any Christian
- 33:07of any denomination, and maybe more, you know, maybe more so.
- 33:09Sometimes a Protestant may know a lot about Jesus, the details of his life
- 33:15and his teachings. They may be able to quote verbatim from the Gospels,
- 33:21and some of them really do, and it's very impressive. My memory has
- 33:23never been that good. The Holy Spirit, really, the treasury of knowledge
- 33:31we have of the Third Person of the Trinity, has its origins entirely in
- 33:37Catholicism. And you know, I'm sure there are a lot of Pentecostal holiness
- 33:42and such that are going to take grave offense to that statement, but it's
- 33:45true. In fact, I had quite a bit of interaction with the Pentecostal
- 33:51churches, and yeah, a lot of what they say about the Holy Spirit
- 33:55is very wrong. And when they start like speaking in tongue and jumping up
- 34:00and down and rolling around on the floor and babbling incoherently, that's not the
- 34:06Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gave to the apostles the gifts of speaking in
- 34:09tongues, which was the ability to speak all languages of mankind. They were.
- 34:15They spoke Aramaic, they they knew some Greek, they knew some Hebrew,
- 34:19maybe a couple of themknew some Latin. The Holy Spirit gave them that
- 34:22Keroism, so they could speak every single language on earth, babbling incoherently was
- 34:29not the gift the chroism of speaking in tongues. Unfortunately, that's either emotional
- 34:42hysteria or it can even be demonic possession. And I think as we kind
- 34:47of get into a lot of a lot of the teachings of Falla Sparago and
- 34:54we compare it to say the teachings of Martin Luther or John Knox or Wesley
- 35:00or any of that, we're going to see that probably, just like Islam
- 35:07was essentially founded by demons. You know, even the demons recognized God and
- 35:13has said Jesus was the son of God. You know, the devil you
- 35:15scripture for his own uses. While Islam is a religion that is some relation
- 35:25to Judaism in Christianity, and we can find a lot of common ground,
- 35:30we can find a lot to agree on. It does seem to have been
- 35:36inspired by demonic influence. And I would say the same about many Protestant doctrines
- 35:43that are heretical and have caused hatred and schism and division. I mean,
- 35:50Jesus and his apostles said no division, no schism. Jesus prayed that we'd
- 35:54all be one. The Saint Paul said, obey your bishops. They speak
- 36:01as God. And then suddenly these Protestant groups come along and turn people against
- 36:07each other, divide the body of Christ, which in the Bible it says
- 36:12that schisms divisions within the churches was crucifying Jesus. Again, that cannot be
- 36:19anything but inspired by either grave error, mental insanity, or demonic influence.
- 36:30I am coming to believe that more and more, especially as I look into
- 36:34the history of the Masonic Order, and you know, they tried to kill
- 36:38the kids that were there at Fatima. They tried to kill the kids,
- 36:43kidnapping, kill the kids that were there at Fatima receiving messages from the Blessed
- 36:47Virgin Mary. They tried to kill several Catholic saints, and you know,
- 36:54outspoken ministers, there's definitely nothing of God in Freemasonry and its influence on modern
- 37:06Protestantism and our politics is vast, disturbing, in humane, inhuman, and
- 37:16it is certainly not of God. So I'm going to get into that,
- 37:22you know, over time as we go on. But our next subject is
- 37:24going to be we're going to begin discussing the Holy Spirit or the Holy Ghost,
- 37:29as Father Spirago would say, so, y'all always remember the words of
- 37:34Saint Padre Pio, pray, hope, and don't worry. You know,
- 37:37I think they even tried to kill Saint Pio at one point, if I
- 37:40remember correctly. Could be wrong about that, but if I'm not mistaken,
- 37:44they even tried to kill Saint Peo. So y'all have a go one.
- 37:47I'll talk to you next time.
