- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's get into of course, the Strategic Reserve. It is
- 0:03Speaker 1: a reality. We'll break it down for you guys. This
- 0:05Speaker 1: is going to be a good one because I think
- 0:06Speaker 1: as you understand what's going on with bitcoin and the
- 0:10Speaker 1: Strategic Reserve, because it's something that we haven't mentioned much.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Today is going to be a good ones. Don't miss it.
- 0:15Speaker 1: I want to thank our sponsor today, and of course
- 0:17Speaker 1: that is Uphold. If you are holding crypto right now
- 0:20Speaker 1: and not earning rewards, you're essentially leaving money on the table.
- 0:24Speaker 1: And the reality is in today's market, you need to
- 0:27Speaker 1: be able to move instantly. That's why upholds flexible staking
- 0:31Speaker 1: is such a game changer. You can earn weekly rewards
- 0:34Speaker 1: automatically on assets you already hold without a lockup. That's
- 0:39Speaker 1: most important, you can sell any time. It's the perfect
- 0:42Speaker 1: setup for anyone who wants to grow their holdings without
- 0:45Speaker 1: losing their exit strategy. Download the Uphold app today and
- 0:50Speaker 1: try it for yourself. So let's go over to this
- 0:52Speaker 1: tweet right here, because this gets into the point that
- 0:55Speaker 1: we're getting at today, and that is bitcoin reclaiming sixty
- 0:58Speaker 1: four k verses. After the White House confirmed that the
- 1:02Speaker 1: US Strategic Bitcoin reserve would happen, and Crypto, of course,
- 1:07Speaker 1: our crypto president says he's a big fan crazy stuff
- 1:10Speaker 1: out there. Right now, this is the point they're getting to,
- 1:13Speaker 1: which is where the US government is actively structuring a
- 1:17Speaker 1: bitcoin strategic reserve and digital asset stockpile. Both of these
- 1:20Speaker 1: will be the case. We'll talk about that in a second.
- 1:23Speaker 1: And the US already holds three hundred and twenty eight
- 1:25Speaker 1: thousand bitcoins, so a pretty significant holding in general. One
- 1:31Speaker 1: other point I want to look at here. Of course,
- 1:34Speaker 1: many people would look at this right now more of
- 1:35Speaker 1: a roadblock. I would agree with what Coinbeer was saying here.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Treasury officials, though, have question whether or not they have
- 1:41Speaker 1: the legal authority to be able to even hold this.
- 1:44Speaker 1: So now you've got the administration, the White House saying okay,
- 1:46Speaker 1: well maybe we would consider moving the reserve over to
- 1:49Speaker 1: the Commerce Department. Remember that is Howard Lutnik. So let's
- 1:53Speaker 1: just remember Howard Lucknink. Not great reputation out there, but
- 1:57Speaker 1: he definitely would be the one that potentially could be
- 2:00Speaker 1: in control of this. So that in itself could cause
- 2:05Speaker 1: a little bit of grief out there within the market.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Another thing that you have to kind of consider is
- 2:10Speaker 1: this right here? All of this is pretty much bureaucratic noise,
- 2:13Speaker 1: not Barris signal. The fact that the DOJ's Office of
- 2:17Speaker 1: Legal Counsel is actively working on means they're actually building
- 2:20Speaker 1: a structure. So this means they're going to do it.
- 2:24Speaker 1: They just don't know how they're going to put it together,
- 2:26Speaker 1: but they're trying to build the structure right now. The
- 2:28Speaker 1: release of this information has caused bitcoin to move. Now
- 2:32Speaker 1: does it put bitcoin on the move up to sixty
- 2:35Speaker 1: seven K or seventy K? Some analysts still saying this
- 2:38Speaker 1: might be a short pump before we see some other
- 2:41Speaker 1: problems towards the summer. And I think the real question
- 2:44Speaker 1: is what is this going to look like? Because everybody's
- 2:47Speaker 1: asking how is this going to be done? How will
- 2:49Speaker 1: it hold? Will they add anything to it? Or is
- 2:51Speaker 1: it strictly going to be seized assets? All of that
- 2:53Speaker 1: is now under consideration. Peter Shift though, continuing to push
- 2:58Speaker 1: on this. Remember very anti crypto and very anti bitcoin,
- 3:02Speaker 1: and he's talking about Trump. Trump's crypto donors likely called
- 3:06Speaker 1: in a favor to get Trump to tease this of
- 3:10Speaker 1: potentially allowing Trump accounts to buy bitcoin. And we'll talk
- 3:13Speaker 1: about that in a second, because I don't know if
- 3:15Speaker 1: that's going to happen. That would be a big hurdle
- 3:17Speaker 1: to overcome. And I think this would be a problem
- 3:21Speaker 1: if we got into that, because just in general, I
- 3:23Speaker 1: think the Democrats would push back dramatically. I think Republicans
- 3:26Speaker 1: would probably push back on that as well, mainly because
- 3:29Speaker 1: you're talking about four oh one k's and this is
- 3:32Speaker 1: four one k's that are being really built for children,
- 3:35Speaker 1: So this would be a problem. I think overall. There
- 3:37Speaker 1: is a clip here from Scott Melker that talks about
- 3:41Speaker 1: this and his opinion.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Take a look the headline that people will grab and
- 3:44Speaker 2: be like, we're getting bitcoin in the trum accounts. We
- 3:46Speaker 2: literally can't. It would require basically an act of Congress.
- 3:49Speaker 2: They could do, you know, broad indexing ETFs and certain things,
- 3:53Speaker 2: but happening yeah, spot bitcoin in those accounts isn't going
- 3:57Speaker 2: to happen, whether or not you know ETF wrapped bitcoin
- 4:01Speaker 2: is Another part of the conversation.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Joey heard Scott mentioned right there, is that I don't
- 4:06Speaker 1: I agree with Scott in the sense I don't think
- 4:08Speaker 1: there's any chance that they put it into the Trump
- 4:11Speaker 1: accounts because that would take Congress to be able to
- 4:13Speaker 1: enact that. But I think the bigger picture here is
- 4:16Speaker 1: the strategic reserve. Whether or not you really believe that
- 4:20Speaker 1: the US government would be actively going out and acquiring bitcoin,
- 4:25Speaker 1: I don't think that would happen, at least not right
- 4:28Speaker 1: now now. Maybe down the road when bitcoin and crypto
- 4:31Speaker 1: in general starts to get ingrained into the social fabric
- 4:36Speaker 1: of America, maybe possibly, But even right now, I mean,
- 4:39Speaker 1: in most cases, we don't see these kind of strategies
- 4:43Speaker 1: around anything other than something like this, which has been
- 4:46Speaker 1: a commodity asset that has been seized, much like gold, silver,
- 4:49Speaker 1: things of that nature. So I would still put it
- 4:51Speaker 1: on the sense that I don't think they're going to
- 4:53Speaker 1: add to the strategic reserve. I think they will continue
- 4:56Speaker 1: to pile on based on acquisitions and seizures, but I
- 5:00Speaker 1: don't think it's going to be done through American tax
- 5:02Speaker 1: payers getting it. So for bitcoiners out there, yes, it's
- 5:06Speaker 1: good news in the sense that they're not selling it.
- 5:08Speaker 1: That's a good thing because they're holding uller three hundred
- 5:10Speaker 1: thousand of them. But the other thing that gets into
- 5:13Speaker 1: this is how would this play or even correlate to
- 5:17Speaker 1: the Trump account. Let me take a look at this clip.
- 5:19Speaker 3: That sounds like classic bitcoin. To me, this is largely
- 5:22Speaker 3: a momentum driven market. Narratives are very powerful, and so yeah,
- 5:26Speaker 3: we saw the initial comments from the president about having
- 5:30Speaker 3: bitcoin potentially in the Trump accounts, and so the market
- 5:35Speaker 3: clearly took that as a positive. The way that I'd
- 5:38Speaker 3: interpret that is investors saying, Okay, there's one more type
- 5:42Speaker 3: of potential buyer here. Now we have Trump accounts. First,
- 5:45Speaker 3: we had mainstream buyers through ETFs, and so the crypto
- 5:50Speaker 3: market loves narratives and any kind of fuel to that fire.
- 5:53Speaker 3: You can add, well, we'll kind of give you a
- 5:54Speaker 3: rally in most days.
- 5:56Speaker 1: All right. So you see Main Street going into this
- 5:59Speaker 1: and looking at this as a possibility. I completely disagree
- 6:02Speaker 1: with this. There's something like this. I think unfortunately, this
- 6:05Speaker 1: is too early of an asset class. Now. I know
- 6:08Speaker 1: many of you would just say, well, that's the whole
- 6:09Speaker 1: point you want to get in early. I get that,
- 6:12Speaker 1: but I think when you're looking at something that is
- 6:14Speaker 1: supposed to be a more stable investment, especially when you
- 6:19Speaker 1: look at four one case, I think you've got to
- 6:20Speaker 1: go with the traditional models that Wall Street has been
- 6:23Speaker 1: serving on and performing for quite some time, so I
- 6:27Speaker 1: would say probably not likely now. Could it happen in
- 6:30Speaker 1: the future. Sure, as we see a more stable crypto
- 6:33Speaker 1: market develop, and it's coming, it is coming, guys, then
- 6:37Speaker 1: there will be a handful of tokens that would probably
- 6:39Speaker 1: be blue chip enough to make it into something like this.
- 6:43Speaker 1: We're already seeing this right now in other asset classes.
- 6:46Speaker 1: So whether or not this happens with crypto, it's still
- 6:49Speaker 1: up in the air. I would say pause on that here,
- 6:52Speaker 1: And when you think about that, you have to look
- 6:55Speaker 1: at other things that are going to destabilize the market,
- 6:57Speaker 1: and one of course is going to be Clarity. James
- 6:59Speaker 1: Safer right here from Bloomberg. He kind of hits it
- 7:01Speaker 1: on the head headlines headlines like this means Clarity is
- 7:05Speaker 1: not getting done, and that I agree with. If we
- 7:08Speaker 1: continue to see pressure on the ethics issue, especially around
- 7:12Speaker 1: what Trump is doing in terms of crypto, and whether
- 7:15Speaker 1: you want to say, okay, he's not investing directly, the
- 7:18Speaker 1: fact that he's associated with it is still it's guys,
- 7:22Speaker 1: it's optics. It's optics that many of Democrats and Republicans
- 7:25Speaker 1: are going to have to face because of their constituents. Remember,
- 7:29Speaker 1: retail crypto has not seen these kind of games. So
- 7:32Speaker 1: this is clearly a situation where he's one upping the
- 7:34Speaker 1: market right now, and that's the problem. And of course
- 7:38Speaker 1: right here you got Donald Trump reportedly booked more crypto
- 7:41Speaker 1: related income last year than any publicly traded US digital
- 7:44Speaker 1: asset company, including Coinbase, which is the king of crypto
- 7:49Speaker 1: right now at least in terms of revenue and earning.
- 7:52Speaker 1: So I don't know, this is a bad look in general.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Look at the rest of the market absolutely not having
- 7:58Speaker 1: it in terms of performance Galaxy, then there Hoday, Core Scientific,
- 8:03Speaker 1: even Iran. So this is a problem, I think, and
- 8:06Speaker 1: a narrative that is not going away, and it will
- 8:09Speaker 1: most likely affect Clarity. You have the SEC, though, coming
- 8:13Speaker 1: in to rewrite the rule book for crypto, and rightly so,
- 8:16Speaker 1: because if Clarity does not go through. We had an
- 8:19Speaker 1: analyzon from Standard Chartered yesterday and he hit it on
- 8:22Speaker 1: the head. Is that most likely this is going to
- 8:24Speaker 1: be the SEC and the CFTC setting down the bureaucratic
- 8:27Speaker 1: guidelines for crypto. That's pretty much going to be the
- 8:31Speaker 1: way it goes right now, at least the way it
- 8:33Speaker 1: looks like it's going to go with the issue of
- 8:36Speaker 1: ethics continuing to face a problem here with the Trump
- 8:39Speaker 1: campaign and administration. You have sixty seven million Americans now
- 8:45Speaker 1: that people are calling a fringe. And the reality of
- 8:48Speaker 1: this is that is the number of people that are
- 8:51Speaker 1: owning crypto. Harris poll over forty five thousand Americans ten
- 8:55Speaker 1: thousand US crypto holders is headlined finding one in four
- 8:59Speaker 1: adults now owns cryptocurrency. So that's a huge deal, guys,
- 9:03Speaker 1: sixty seven million people absolutely insane here. And the political
- 9:08Speaker 1: poll also found that the same forty five percent of
- 9:10Speaker 1: Americans view crypto is risky, but those same investors and
- 9:14Speaker 1: holders view the stock market as risky as well. So
- 9:19Speaker 1: it's interesting how all of this is kind of playing
- 9:22Speaker 1: out in real time. The opportunity for you guys is
- 9:25Speaker 1: we all know, is we're early in these markets. You
- 9:29Speaker 1: look at bitcoin trading right now at sixty four k,
- 9:32Speaker 1: you look at the high of one twenty five plus,
- 9:34Speaker 1: and the opportunity here of tokenization. All of this is
- 9:38Speaker 1: still very early on, and I think it's all going
- 9:40Speaker 1: to be in a very strategic model that eventually will
- 9:44Speaker 1: span across many presidencies for the next decade. Or two
- 9:48Speaker 1: bn Y CEO Rob Evinz says B and Y is
- 9:51Speaker 1: going to be partner at the US Treasury Robin Hood
- 9:54Speaker 1: to make Trump accounts happen. That I think is still
- 9:57Speaker 1: a good thing in the sense that we've got major
- 9:59Speaker 1: Wall Street investment framework to be able to get these done.
- 10:03Speaker 1: We'll see how this pans out. I don't think that
- 10:06Speaker 1: crypto is a good model for this just yet, just
- 10:08Speaker 1: because of the narratives right now, and also I think
- 10:11Speaker 1: we don't need the smoke if you think about crypto
- 10:14Speaker 1: in general, if something goes wrong for whatever reason, most
- 10:17Speaker 1: crypto investors understand how to fade that heat. I don't
- 10:21Speaker 1: know that a four oh one K holder for someone's
- 10:24Speaker 1: you know, kid's future is going to be able to
- 10:26Speaker 1: understand that. So a big deal. Don't forget Ripple selected
- 10:29Speaker 1: Be and Y to Custy Ripple USD. So be and
- 10:32Speaker 1: Y is very familiar with the markets and very familiar
- 10:34Speaker 1: with crypto in general. Doesn't mean that there could be
- 10:37Speaker 1: something signaling here, but it definitely shows you that BE
- 10:41Speaker 1: and Y is very active for maybe involving themselves in
- 10:45Speaker 1: this in the future when it does get into a
- 10:47Speaker 1: point where crypto might play a role speaking of others
- 10:52Speaker 1: that are going to involve themselves in the future, and
- 10:54Speaker 1: that is Vanguard, who initially hated the idea of ETFs.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Now they're one of the largest ETF managers. Vanguard initially
- 11:01Speaker 1: hated crypto and yes, that's right, Vanguard is now hiring
- 11:06Speaker 1: their first ever head of Digital Asset role for a
- 11:09Speaker 1: full strategic pivot. This is a big deal for Vanguard
- 11:13Speaker 1: to make a full pitt We've reported this on this
- 11:15Speaker 1: show and reported where Vanguard pretty much laughed in the
- 11:19Speaker 1: face of all investors out there, saying this was not
- 11:23Speaker 1: going to be something that Vanguard or their investors would
- 11:26Speaker 1: ever do. That has changed when you look at Vanguard
- 11:29Speaker 1: and their pivot. Look at what Robinhood did. They embraced
- 11:34Speaker 1: the idea. Imagine where Vanguard would be had they gone
- 11:36Speaker 1: this direction. And in terms of just embracing what's happening
- 11:40Speaker 1: with the ability for tokenization, Robinhood chain of course absolutely exploding.
- 11:46Speaker 1: And I think we're going to see so much more
- 11:48Speaker 1: of this in a very short period of time. Remember,
- 11:50Speaker 1: because I think a lot of people look at crypto
- 11:52Speaker 1: down right now because it's mostly been assets and liquidity
- 11:55Speaker 1: rotating into AI. Well, AI spending concerns now are spooking investors,
- 12:00Speaker 1: and I think this is something to keep a very
- 12:02Speaker 1: close eye on because as we go into what could
- 12:06Speaker 1: be a slow summer, the real question is do we
- 12:09Speaker 1: get a dip before the next step. Tom Lee has
- 12:12Speaker 1: talked about this when you look at Samsung's record this,
- 12:15Speaker 1: of course eighty nine trillion in Korean wand fifty eight
- 12:19Speaker 1: billion US dollars quarterly profit on the chip boom, and
- 12:23Speaker 1: yet shares are sliding. So is that where investors are
- 12:26Speaker 1: finally getting to the point maybe this is it for
- 12:29Speaker 1: the AI bubble And I don't know. Let me know
- 12:32Speaker 1: in the comments down below if you guys think that
- 12:34Speaker 1: we're going to continue to see an up market, especially
- 12:37Speaker 1: in the correlated AI market, whether it's stock semiconductors, companies
- 12:41Speaker 1: like Micron, et cetera. Within that, more drama that also
- 12:46Speaker 1: plays into this is what's going on the ury energy
- 12:48Speaker 1: side of things, and of course one of the things
- 12:50Speaker 1: that is applicable to that is what's going on in
- 12:52Speaker 1: the Strait and right now the UK is saying that
- 12:55Speaker 1: there's a second hit on ships inside the straight or
- 12:59Speaker 1: hor moves, and of course that has continued to move
- 13:01Speaker 1: oil higher. This is another problem that even though it
- 13:04Speaker 1: looks as though it's been a little bit less covered,
- 13:08Speaker 1: the real fact is this continues to put pressure on
- 13:11Speaker 1: the macro environment and that will have an effect on
- 13:14Speaker 1: stocks and crypto in general. One other thing I want
- 13:17Speaker 1: to get to is the FED minutes are now coming out,
- 13:19Speaker 1: so you've got them do on Wednesday. A lot of
- 13:22Speaker 1: hawkish moves right now, and of course WASH's deliberate silence.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Very interesting here. A couple of points I want to
- 13:29Speaker 1: focus on. Markets will parse them not as a gloss
- 13:32Speaker 1: on Walsh's already stated views, but as fomc's only substantiative
- 13:37Speaker 1: on record statement about whether or not September rate hike
- 13:40Speaker 1: is coming. I don't know. I don't think that we're
- 13:42Speaker 1: going to see a rate hike. I'm feeling that that
- 13:44Speaker 1: is going to be the case. But if we don't
- 13:47Speaker 1: see inflation at least stabilize, I think this is going
- 13:51Speaker 1: to be an issue that worsh is going to have
- 13:52Speaker 1: to deal with. And the distinction matters in normalcy right now.
- 13:56Speaker 1: It should matter to anyone holding AI infrastructure, I agree,
- 14:00Speaker 1: and especially around data centers and so on, any of
- 14:03Speaker 1: the hyperscalers all of those really a big issue I
- 14:06Speaker 1: think on how the rate cuts could and or not
- 14:11Speaker 1: occur for twenty twenty six. FED also injecting ten billion
- 14:14Speaker 1: into the economy. Not a lot, but the fact that
- 14:17Speaker 1: they are pulling the trigger on an injection from the
- 14:20Speaker 1: Federal Reserve. They're going to do two treasure bill purchase operations,
- 14:23Speaker 1: which is three point three billion on Tuesday and another
- 14:25Speaker 1: six to six on Thursday. Not a big hit, but
- 14:28Speaker 1: it does show the tolerance of the FED to be
- 14:32Speaker 1: able to move on this. Does that mean that we
- 14:34Speaker 1: have a printer coming maybe if we continue to see
- 14:38Speaker 1: pressure in the macro side and what we're seeing right
- 14:41Speaker 1: now in terms of the possibility of what we could
- 14:45Speaker 1: see in terms of a rate hike. If you look
- 14:46Speaker 1: at the poly market, this is the all time chance.
- 14:49Speaker 1: It is up a lot in terms of a rate
- 14:52Speaker 1: hike in twenty twenty six. So beyond the lookout, guys,
- 14:56Speaker 1: this is not out of the woods just yet. And
- 14:57Speaker 1: this would decimate crypto in general. Even though right now,
- 15:01Speaker 1: as you look at the market, I'll just go in
- 15:03Speaker 1: and just run down some of the top ones. Here's Bitcoin.
- 15:06Speaker 1: That's almost a week of green candles right here. As
- 15:08Speaker 1: we currently traded around sixty four. Look at what's going
- 15:11Speaker 1: on with Solana trading at eighty two and stabilizing. Another
- 15:15Speaker 1: token to take a look at is uniewap. This is
- 15:17Speaker 1: one that has just recently started to move. I think
- 15:19Speaker 1: this is one we just talked about this yesterday. You
- 15:21Speaker 1: guys should go back and watch the video we did
- 15:23Speaker 1: yesterday on where Ethan unicewap is heading. And then the
- 15:26Speaker 1: real question is what's going to happen with Jupiter. Jupiter
- 15:29Speaker 1: continuingly showing performance. This is all a sign. Are we
- 15:35Speaker 1: in a position right now where it's early stage of
- 15:38Speaker 1: potentially a market breakdown? Do we see that twenty percent pullback?
- 15:42Speaker 1: And if a rate cut is incoming, that's a problem
- 15:45Speaker 1: for the market. We're going to be covering this in
- 15:47Speaker 1: a lot more this week, so stay tuned. If you
