- 0:07Speaker 1: Some big news announcement today that is really I think
- 0:10Speaker 1: going to shake the car industry and maybe get into
- 0:13Speaker 1: a historic movement going forward. We'll break it down for you.
- 0:16Speaker 1: It's going to be a good one. My name is
- 0:17Speaker 1: Paul Barren. Welcome back in the tech path. All right,
- 0:19Speaker 1: So let's get into a couple of points today. I
- 0:21Speaker 1: want to kind of lead off with what's happening right
- 0:23Speaker 1: now within the automotive industry when you think about EV's
- 0:28Speaker 1: but really the growth of where robotaxis are going and
- 0:31Speaker 1: also the launch what we're getting ready to see I
- 0:34Speaker 1: think is a very big shift going forward. And of
- 0:36Speaker 1: course Weimo has been out there in the business for
- 0:39Speaker 1: quite some time. Now. Of course that is shifting over
- 0:42Speaker 1: to Tasla with their first launch in a geofence location
- 0:46Speaker 1: in Austin. Now what does this mean for crypto, Well,
- 0:48Speaker 1: the idea is is that car companies are going to
- 0:51Speaker 1: get much more creative. And as they get more creative,
- 0:54Speaker 1: they're going to start doing some things, I believe, and
- 0:56Speaker 1: we're going to see today. In Web three was trying
- 1:00Speaker 1: to do this in his early era. Remember when he
- 1:03Speaker 1: tweeted this, This was quite some time ago and he
- 1:06Speaker 1: was going after the flying car, and the flying car,
- 1:08Speaker 1: of course we all know was Delorian. Delorian was in
- 1:11Speaker 1: essence being built. Now I think as a Delorian truck
- 1:15Speaker 1: if you think what cyber truck has been able to
- 1:17Speaker 1: do in a very short period of time. And this
- 1:19Speaker 1: is kind of interesting because it starts to flow into
- 1:21Speaker 1: maybe the strategies that some of the car companies will
- 1:24Speaker 1: be taking.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Take a look, dude, did you get.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Delorian the car?
- 1:44Speaker 2: Yes? But the token?
- 1:45Speaker 3: The token?
- 1:46Speaker 1: What do you mean the DMC the token?
- 1:47Speaker 3: Dude?
- 1:49Speaker 1: Okay, so big news of course, DMC did launch today
- 1:53Speaker 1: and joining us is going to be Evan Kuhn, who
- 1:55Speaker 1: is the president of Delorian Labs. I wanted to bring
- 1:57Speaker 1: him on the show. Evan, how are.
- 1:58Speaker 3: You doing great? Thanks for having me. It's exciting to
- 2:01Speaker 3: be here.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Yeah. So you guys have got some big news today,
- 2:04Speaker 1: obviously the launch of DMC. I'm over on your website,
- 2:08Speaker 1: DeLorean Labs. If you guys, we've covered this topic before
- 2:11Speaker 1: and it's one of the few things that we've centered
- 2:14Speaker 1: around the automotive industry because we think when you think automotive,
- 2:18Speaker 1: Web three is almost a natural for it. And of course, Evan,
- 2:21Speaker 1: you guys have done a lot in the way of
- 2:23Speaker 1: launching a Web three ecosystem around this brand. Can you
- 2:27Speaker 1: explain to me and our audience a little bit about
- 2:30Speaker 1: what you guys are up to give me the latest.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Yeah, So, as everyone probably knows by now, Delorian is
- 2:36Speaker 3: coming out with a new electric vehicle that's going to
- 2:39Speaker 3: be the DeLorean Alpha five. Was announced a few years ago. Delorian,
- 2:44Speaker 3: being a very future forward thinking company, decided, okay, let's
- 2:48Speaker 3: jump into Web three, deliver each car with a crypto wallet,
- 2:52Speaker 3: and have an NFD backing each car. So we created
- 2:56Speaker 3: a marketplace at marketplace dot delorian dot com to pre
- 3:00Speaker 3: sell the vehicles. We've already sold twelve hundred Alpha five
- 3:05Speaker 3: vehicle reservation build slots. Those NFTs are in the hands
- 3:09Speaker 3: of the holder now and they have the ability to
- 3:12Speaker 3: trade them in the marketplace. So if someone didn't get
- 3:15Speaker 3: a chance to buy one, they can go on the
- 3:18Speaker 3: marketplace and get one in the secondhand market, or if
- 3:22Speaker 3: someone has bought one they decide they don't want the
- 3:25Speaker 3: vehicle anymore, can't afford it. They have that ability to
- 3:29Speaker 3: essentially earn for their place in line and get out
- 3:32Speaker 3: of their deposits, and by using the blockchain technology. This
- 3:37Speaker 3: is what I believe this technology is meant to be
- 3:40Speaker 3: used for. So very excited to be paving the way
- 3:43Speaker 3: for the future.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Because it is a very forward thinking car brand and
- 3:47Speaker 1: I think kind of next generation of where we will
- 3:50Speaker 1: see automotive going. This is a big deal right now.
- 3:55Speaker 1: What kind of feedback have you guys been able to
- 3:57Speaker 1: get so far?
- 3:58Speaker 3: I mean, the feedback has been incredible. There's been so
- 4:02Speaker 3: much support from all the different communities. We've seen other
- 4:05Speaker 3: communities in Web three, you know, welcome us in with
- 4:09Speaker 3: open arms. You know, a lot of memes that we've seen,
- 4:12Speaker 3: you know, people photoshopping different meme projects driving the vehicle
- 4:17Speaker 3: and you know, all sorts of you know, really cool
- 4:20Speaker 3: communities embracing us there. And then in the traditional auto
- 4:24Speaker 3: world too. Tackling a lot of the existing pain points
- 4:28Speaker 3: that we often hear customers complain about, you know, especially
- 4:33Speaker 3: in previous auto releases. You know, we've seen people have
- 4:37Speaker 3: to wait up to five six years for a vehicle
- 4:40Speaker 3: to be delivered from when someone put down their initial deposit,
- 4:44Speaker 3: you know, and then you know, hearing those pain points
- 4:46Speaker 3: and complaints, you know, we've really come out with a
- 4:49Speaker 3: product that addresses that so you.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Guys were able to get in front of Future Car Blondie,
- 4:55Speaker 1: which is probably I would say the most renowned automotive
- 4:58Speaker 1: youtubeer out there with a real unit, and of course
- 5:02Speaker 1: that exposure is going to I think, propel the brand
- 5:05Speaker 1: going forward. You look at the token launch, which is
- 5:09Speaker 1: now starting to gain some traction as of today, we'll
- 5:13Speaker 1: most likely see maybe an acceleration just around the fever
- 5:17Speaker 1: of that a brand launching a token, especially on automotive
- 5:22Speaker 1: brand launching a token. How do you see this kind
- 5:25Speaker 1: of going to next evolution and what's your future plan
- 5:28Speaker 1: around how the token is going to operate along with
- 5:31Speaker 1: the brand itself.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Yeah, so the token is kind of like the lifeblood
- 5:36Speaker 3: of the community that really ties everything in the ecosystem together,
- 5:41Speaker 3: allows people that are fans of the brand to almost
- 5:45Speaker 3: like own a part of it and be part of it.
- 5:49Speaker 3: And yeah, it really gives them a way to interact
- 5:53Speaker 3: with what we're doing in Web three in a way
- 5:55Speaker 3: that has never been done before. We have all sorts
- 5:58Speaker 3: of things planned, We have staking planned, you know, the
- 6:01Speaker 3: ability for people to deliver their or stake their build
- 6:06Speaker 3: slot and essentially earn interest on that through the token.
- 6:11Speaker 3: We have a whole drive to earn program planned uh
- 6:15Speaker 3: you know where we'll be able to essentially buy back
- 6:18Speaker 3: driving data from the user in exchange for the token.
- 6:23Speaker 3: When that vehicle is delivered, that NFT vehicle reservation slot
- 6:28Speaker 3: will essentially become like the certificate of authenticity or carfax
- 6:33Speaker 3: backing that vehicle. So all the miles kilometers will be
- 6:37Speaker 3: uploaded service records, and users will be able to earn
- 6:41Speaker 3: the DMC token for giving us that data.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I think that's interesting because the automotive industry has been
- 6:49Speaker 1: rife with a lot of fraud. But to be able
- 6:51Speaker 1: to tie this to the blockchain, that really starts to
- 6:53Speaker 1: open up a lot more a lot more transparency, which
- 6:55Speaker 1: I think is something that the car industry could use.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I was going to say, like I've been seeing
- 6:59Speaker 3: on the use recently, you know in Canada and of
- 7:03Speaker 3: you know car thefts. People are on the inside of
- 7:07Speaker 3: the you know d mvs and organizations that are you know,
- 7:12Speaker 3: manipulating the the ven numbers and everything with the registrations
- 7:16Speaker 3: of the cars to allow the sale of fraudulent vehicles.
- 7:20Speaker 3: So so this level of transparency should definitely help combat
- 7:24Speaker 3: a lot of that as well.
- 7:25Speaker 1: But you look at a lot of other automakers out there,
- 7:28Speaker 1: whether you look at Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari. I mean, now
- 7:31Speaker 1: you're getting into some of the exotics, but you could
- 7:33Speaker 1: also see some companies like Tasla, maybe even Rivian that
- 7:38Speaker 1: could go in this direction. What what do you think
- 7:40Speaker 1: is going to be the next move for the automotive industry?
- 7:43Speaker 1: Do you think we're going to see a lot of
- 7:44Speaker 1: companies start to go this direction?
- 7:46Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, I think we will. It's just going to
- 7:48Speaker 3: take time for like, this is still the very early days.
- 7:52Speaker 3: You know, we're still pioneering this new technology. You know, really,
- 7:56Speaker 3: you know, we're lucky to have a blockchain partner like
- 7:59Speaker 3: Suy that we get to work with on this. I
- 8:03Speaker 3: would say a lot of the blockchains that came before
- 8:06Speaker 3: the technology just wasn't even ready for this way of
- 8:09Speaker 3: thinking and delivering. You know, we need to have the
- 8:12Speaker 3: blockchains that are cheap transactions, fast transactions, and that can
- 8:17Speaker 3: scale to hundreds of thousands of transactions a second for
- 8:21Speaker 3: something like this to be possible. So we're only just
- 8:24Speaker 3: getting to that point where the technology exists, you know,
- 8:27Speaker 3: especially when it comes to even downloading wallets. You know,
- 8:31Speaker 3: one of the things the CUE blockchain does so well
- 8:33Speaker 3: is they make it easy for a first time or
- 8:36Speaker 3: to come into the ecosystem, download their first wallet, and
- 8:39Speaker 3: go through that process. So, you know, we're excited to
- 8:42Speaker 3: work with them, and this is really the first time
- 8:45Speaker 3: that this technology has existed at scale to be able
- 8:49Speaker 3: to do something like this.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You look at what Elon is doing right now. They're
- 8:53Speaker 1: testing Robotaxi and Austin, so they're connecting their media streaming preferences,
- 8:59Speaker 1: temperature sets, all that kind of stuff, probably within your
- 9:02Speaker 1: Robotaxi slash Tesla account. We'll see how this plays out,
- 9:06Speaker 1: but I could imagine that this could get into integration
- 9:09Speaker 1: with something like Sui and tying it to what's happening
- 9:12Speaker 1: in the car to where a lot of these kinds
- 9:14Speaker 1: of preferences and all sorts of creative ways to connect
- 9:17Speaker 1: the user to the vehicle could really start to break out.
- 9:21Speaker 1: How do you think Sui is going to kind of
- 9:24Speaker 1: advance in terms of maybe integrated settings for what you
- 9:28Speaker 1: guys are doing in the physical vehicle.
- 9:29Speaker 3: So I mean, definitely, I'll stem from the crypto wallet
- 9:33Speaker 3: that that's going to you know, exist in each car,
- 9:37Speaker 3: and then you know, the idea is going to have
- 9:39Speaker 3: other developers come in and develop all the functionality. So
- 9:44Speaker 3: you know, the car maybe just pull into a parking
- 9:46Speaker 3: spot and then the wallet handles covering the parking or
- 9:50Speaker 3: you pull up to a drive through handles the payment.
- 9:54Speaker 3: You know, when you get into you know, the car
- 9:56Speaker 3: being fully autonomous and you know, a Mobo taxi, you
- 10:01Speaker 3: know it's going to have that wallet so it can go,
- 10:04Speaker 3: you know, pay for maintenance, it can go get a
- 10:07Speaker 3: car wash and yeah. So that's really uh, you know,
- 10:13Speaker 3: central and a key part of what's coming next.
- 10:17Speaker 1: What about DAPs. You look at different projects out there,
- 10:20Speaker 1: AI's AI agents starting to roll out with things like
- 10:24Speaker 1: food ordering. I'm looking at this and saying, well, man,
- 10:27Speaker 1: this could get into everything from an Uber eat door
- 10:30Speaker 1: dash kind of scenario where all of this could be
- 10:32Speaker 1: tied into automotive. We've seen this kind of in the
- 10:36Speaker 1: Tesla's but still very limited. Web three opens up a
- 10:40Speaker 1: lot of opportunity. Do you guys see more of those
- 10:44Speaker 1: kinds of DAPs being available in the DeLorean?
- 10:47Speaker 3: Yeah? I mean, like one of the things with Web
- 10:50Speaker 3: three is, you know, you can there's so many ideas
- 10:54Speaker 3: and you know, because it's just on that cutting edge
- 10:56Speaker 3: where you can spend days with the team brainstorming all
- 10:59Speaker 3: these you know, new possibilities and things, and you know,
- 11:03Speaker 3: so it really does take that like we find as
- 11:06Speaker 3: a company and we have to be disciplined, you know,
- 11:08Speaker 3: and really focus on one thing at a time and
- 11:12Speaker 3: really build those you know blocks. So that's where we
- 11:17Speaker 3: really focused on the marketplace for now, on the vehicle reservation,
- 11:22Speaker 3: and then you know, we're just gonna build from that
- 11:24Speaker 3: foundation once we start rolling the vehicles out.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I'm looking at your Sense lat or your Sense band
- 11:30Speaker 1: right here, which is essentially, I guess is kind of
- 11:32Speaker 1: the key to the car in essence. When you look
- 11:34Speaker 1: at that band, then you think about blockchains, blockchains like suee,
- 11:39Speaker 1: will there be any kind of integration with what you
- 11:41Speaker 1: guys are doing with the band itself into the sweet blockchain.
- 11:45Speaker 3: So so we're actually also talking to some hardware wallet
- 11:49Speaker 3: manufacturers as well about how we can integrate that into
- 11:54Speaker 3: it and then have that integrate to the UH to
- 11:58Speaker 3: the chain and you know, whether it's you know, kind
- 12:02Speaker 3: of unlocks the vehicle and you know, unlocks the wallet
- 12:05Speaker 3: and all the other integrations. So we're having those conversations
- 12:09Speaker 3: but you know, still, as I mentioned, a few steps
- 12:12Speaker 3: away from that.
- 12:13Speaker 1: The first time I saw this come out, I was like,
- 12:15Speaker 1: this has got to be an opportunity I think of
- 12:19Speaker 1: really excelling the brand forward. When do you guys, what's
- 12:22Speaker 1: the timeline look like? First of all, for the release
- 12:25Speaker 1: of the first model, how do you guys see that
- 12:28Speaker 1: playing out? And then how successful have you been in
- 12:32Speaker 1: being able to expand the brand globally?
- 12:34Speaker 3: Yep, so in terms of the Alpha five, we're looking
- 12:38Speaker 3: at twenty twenty seven for the deliveries, so still got
- 12:42Speaker 3: a bit of time. But you know, it's no easy
- 12:45Speaker 3: feat to bring a car to market. Yeah, so working
- 12:49Speaker 3: on and then yeah, what we've seen, especially with this
- 12:53Speaker 3: Web three push, is the amount of interest that has
- 12:56Speaker 3: already existed globally. I was surprised to see in countries
- 13:01Speaker 3: like India how popular the brand is. You never would
- 13:05Speaker 3: have expected that before getting in this Korea as well,
- 13:10Speaker 3: quite popular there, across Europe anywhere. Back to the Future
- 13:16Speaker 3: was really quite popular, and we've seen the brand explode.
- 13:19Speaker 3: And you know, right now we're also seeing that a
- 13:23Speaker 3: younger demographic is getting into it as well. Delaurion has
- 13:26Speaker 3: one of the top selling Lego sets and you know
- 13:29Speaker 3: Hot Wheels and Ready Player one a newer movie that
- 13:35Speaker 3: has come out. It's really introducing the brand in the
- 13:39Speaker 3: car to a whole new, younger generation.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure, I'm looking at the potential growth, you say,
- 13:46Speaker 1: even though twenty seven just around the corner. I remember,
- 13:50Speaker 1: you know, first time I purchased a Tasla, it was
- 13:53Speaker 1: all built on the idea of full self driving. You know,
- 13:56Speaker 1: that was many many years before we actually had full
- 13:59Speaker 1: self driving. Course. Now here we are in Austin, they're
- 14:02Speaker 1: launching their entire robotaxi fleet. Now again granted, yes, still
- 14:09Speaker 1: Geofans still has a companion driver so to speak. But
- 14:13Speaker 1: the point being is is that finally Tesla has gotten
- 14:15Speaker 1: to it. How long do you think? Well, I guess
- 14:18Speaker 1: first of all, do you feel like that Delorian will
- 14:20Speaker 1: someday also have this kind of autonomy built into the vehicle.
- 14:24Speaker 3: As health That would be inevitably the goal. But Delaurian,
- 14:28Speaker 3: that's not our focus at the moment. Is building out
- 14:30Speaker 3: that we'd be looking to partner with another provider that
- 14:34Speaker 3: could operate that self driving technology, and I think we
- 14:38Speaker 3: all see that as the future, you know, for Delaurian,
- 14:42Speaker 3: it's really you know, since the first one came out,
- 14:46Speaker 3: it's been about the experience of getting behind the wheel
- 14:49Speaker 3: and driving it yourself. So that's really where the focus
- 14:53Speaker 3: is in the short term.
- 14:53Speaker 1: You look at what Teleport was trying to do with Solana,
- 14:57Speaker 1: which ended up failing, but the idea was is that
- 15:00Speaker 1: they were trying to replace, not replace, but give an
- 15:03Speaker 1: alternative to Uber. And I'm thinking about you know, Uber
- 15:07Speaker 1: experiences because you you would consider maybe something like a
- 15:10Speaker 1: DeLorean maybe could become that kind of connected product to
- 15:14Speaker 1: maybe a huge experience, like especially if you think Miami
- 15:18Speaker 1: or La Dallas, somewhere like that where yeah we were yeah.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Yeah, we were out in Dubai recently. And the amount
- 15:26Speaker 3: of interest from you know, people that own these car
- 15:29Speaker 3: rental companies that want to buy up ten twenty Deloreans
- 15:33Speaker 3: to have in their fleet. So when people are there
- 15:35Speaker 3: on vacation or going to events, you know, everyone will
- 15:40Speaker 3: have their first chance to experience the DeLorean. And so yeah,
- 15:43Speaker 3: a ton of demand for that.
- 15:45Speaker 1: What about monetizing some of the use cases, you know,
- 15:49Speaker 1: you you look at advanced automobiles like the DeLorean. What
- 15:54Speaker 1: we've seen with you know, projects around Tasla, especially in
- 15:57Speaker 1: the camera systems. You know, this is a good example
- 16:00Speaker 1: be maps, which is part of hive Mapper, and then
- 16:04Speaker 1: what they're doing is basically mapping roads out there for
- 16:07Speaker 1: use of this data. Are you guys looking to partner
- 16:09Speaker 1: with companies like someone like a hive mapper or others
- 16:12Speaker 1: to where maybe that could be integrated into the vehicle
- 16:16Speaker 1: as really like just adapt because you're going to have
- 16:18Speaker 1: a camera system built into this yep.
- 16:20Speaker 3: So yeah, definitely we'll be looking at partnerships like that.
- 16:24Speaker 3: You know, that's part of the whole earning DMC token
- 16:28Speaker 3: by you know, monetizing your data. So you know, we
- 16:31Speaker 3: will definitely look at all sorts of ways that we
- 16:35Speaker 3: will allow our users to tap into those you know,
- 16:39Speaker 3: other dops.
- 16:40Speaker 1: So you guys are moving heavily into the gaming sector. Obviously,
- 16:43Speaker 1: time capsule the stretch. I want to learn a little
- 16:45Speaker 1: bit about time capsule, explain it to our audience. But
- 16:49Speaker 1: when you look at the opportunity, a lot more gaming
- 16:51Speaker 1: opportunities are coming an Amocha, of course you've partnered with.
- 16:55Speaker 1: This is a big deal because Anamoca has so many
- 16:58Speaker 1: connections within the gaming industry. Talk to me first, about
- 17:02Speaker 1: the time capsule, What does it mean to a user,
- 17:06Speaker 1: how's it going to be utilized.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Et cetera. Yep. So the time Capsule was our first
- 17:11Speaker 3: entrance into Web three, so that was all about building community.
- 17:16Speaker 3: And in the Web two world there's a ton of
- 17:19Speaker 3: DeLorean communities, car clubs. We really wanted to bring a
- 17:23Speaker 3: lot of those on chain into Web three, so we
- 17:26Speaker 3: released the time capsule for free in four different drops.
- 17:30Speaker 3: There is eight eight hundred of them in total. And
- 17:35Speaker 3: I really like to look at this as the membership
- 17:37Speaker 3: to the community and the thing that you can own
- 17:40Speaker 3: that says you know, here I am as part of
- 17:43Speaker 3: this DeLorean community. For us kind of have it be
- 17:45Speaker 3: that gift that keeps on giving. Initially, these time capsules
- 17:50Speaker 3: that came sealed and after a few months they opened
- 17:54Speaker 3: up to reveal a bunch of different prizes, the grand
- 17:58Speaker 3: prize being a new DeLorean Electric EV. We also gave
- 18:02Speaker 3: away free pizza for a year from Domino's, some Delarean
- 18:06Speaker 3: themed Nike Dunks, if one pass as Karate Combat passes. Also,
- 18:12Speaker 3: each time capsule is getting a DMC token air dropped
- 18:17Speaker 3: as well as they received a voucher for our air
- 18:20Speaker 3: drop race to take part in that and earn more
- 18:24Speaker 3: DMC token. We have lots of other events planned. We've
- 18:29Speaker 3: sponsored karate combat in the past. We had a VIP
- 18:32Speaker 3: section for time capsule holders, invited them out, got to
- 18:35Speaker 3: meet a lot of them in person, and yeah, we
- 18:38Speaker 3: have a lot of cool ideas for what we can
- 18:41Speaker 3: do with these time capsules going you know, going for Yeah.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Well, I see a lot here the prize list you
- 18:50Speaker 1: just kind of mentioned there, including a sweet play I
- 18:53Speaker 1: like that.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Yeah. Being a game.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Yeah, as you start to connect this to IP and
- 18:59Speaker 1: this especially in game IP, we're talking about a lot
- 19:03Speaker 1: of opportunity of growth. I wanted to jump to a
- 19:05Speaker 1: tweet real quick because this is one that is interesting
- 19:08Speaker 1: to me. When you look at Ready Verse. We've had
- 19:10Speaker 1: their team on before, but there was a note here,
- 19:14Speaker 1: you know, familiar ips like a DeLorean. And here's my
- 19:16Speaker 1: question to you is, first of all, will we see
- 19:20Speaker 1: more DeLorean IP in more games? And is there a
- 19:24Speaker 1: possibility of how that could possibly connect via web three
- 19:27Speaker 1: to the actual owner of the vehicle itself.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Definitely see more DeLorean in game. So what we're working
- 19:35Speaker 3: on with reverse from Animoka Brands, So it's going to
- 19:38Speaker 3: be an interoperable NFT DeLorean that you'll be able to
- 19:42Speaker 3: own this NFT and port it from game to game.
- 19:46Speaker 3: So you'll own that DeLorean to be able to race
- 19:50Speaker 3: it in many of the different driving games that they
- 19:54Speaker 3: come out with. So you know, and you know, one
- 19:58Speaker 3: of the things we've even thought of, if you own
- 20:01Speaker 3: the new Dolorian, you know, maybe there is a digital
- 20:04Speaker 3: version of that car that you could potentially you know,
- 20:07Speaker 3: drive in different video games as well.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I love it. I mean, you think Grand Turismo
- 20:14Speaker 1: almost in essence. It's such a huge community that really
- 20:18Speaker 1: gets into a lot of what's happening in the automotive sector.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Are you waiting on projects like Axelar to enable you
- 20:25Speaker 1: to be able to do that in terms of the
- 20:27Speaker 1: IP itself being able to really kind of transport within
- 20:33Speaker 1: so many different opportunities around games, anything that would help
- 20:36Speaker 1: speed that up.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Well, I think our first step is to work with
- 20:39Speaker 3: Motorverse on that and you know, get it into all
- 20:43Speaker 3: of their racing games. And yeah, once we get that
- 20:47Speaker 3: set up, then you know we'll be looking to build
- 20:50Speaker 3: on that momentum and just expand from there.
- 20:53Speaker 1: I want to drop into your tokenomics real quickly. I'm
- 20:55Speaker 1: looking at this right now. Explain to me first of
- 20:58Speaker 1: all the air drops staying why would someone want to
- 21:02Speaker 1: buy and hold the token? Can you elaborate on that?
- 21:04Speaker 3: Yep. So you know, staking is a way to put
- 21:07Speaker 3: your token up is collateral and earn from that. So
- 21:11Speaker 3: we've got a great program where you can earn from
- 21:13Speaker 3: your token. But more importantly, we see the car as
- 21:18Speaker 3: just the tip of the iceberg of what we're going
- 21:20Speaker 3: to be developing and working on. You know, we really
- 21:24Speaker 3: see DeLorean as a brand has so much mass market
- 21:27Speaker 3: appeal and really for only coming out with a few
- 21:30Speaker 3: thousand cars a year, you know, the car is very exclusive,
- 21:34Speaker 3: so we're looking at coming out with a ton of
- 21:36Speaker 3: amazing products. You know, we look at what Porsche has
- 21:39Speaker 3: been able to do with Porsche design, what Ferrari does maximize,
- 21:43Speaker 3: you know, their enjoyment of the brand through various products.
- 21:47Speaker 3: So we're partnering with a ton of different luxury good
- 21:50Speaker 3: manufacturers and other brands to come out with really cool,
- 21:55Speaker 3: limited edition DeLorean branded products that really use that classic
- 22:01Speaker 3: DMC design language and bring it to other all types
- 22:04Speaker 3: of goods, you know, whether it's eyewear, watches, apparel, accessories.
- 22:11Speaker 3: You know, we have a huge road map of a
- 22:13Speaker 3: lot of cool things planned and the token is going
- 22:15Speaker 3: to be very key to all this. So it's going
- 22:18Speaker 3: to be goods that are for token holders that you're
- 22:20Speaker 3: going to have to use the token on our marketplace
- 22:24Speaker 3: to acquire. And you know, we're going to look at
- 22:27Speaker 3: doing fair drop mechanisms, so you know, maybe for one
- 22:31Speaker 3: drop you'll have to own a time capsule to have access,
- 22:33Speaker 3: maybe another you'll have to be staying token to get
- 22:36Speaker 3: another access. Maybe it's a combination of the two. So
- 22:40Speaker 3: you know, you're really going to have to be part
- 22:42Speaker 3: of the ecosystem to participate in these limited edition drops,
- 22:46Speaker 3: and each item will also come with that NFT that
- 22:50Speaker 3: backs it as kind of the certificate of authenticity.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Do you think we're going to see other brands launching
- 22:56Speaker 1: tokens like this what you guys have been able to
- 22:58Speaker 1: do right now with DMC.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's an inevitable step for a lot
- 23:04Speaker 3: of brands out there. But yeah, right now, it's as
- 23:08Speaker 3: I mentioned, the rails needed to be built, and you know,
- 23:12Speaker 3: I think what we saw over the last fifteen years
- 23:17Speaker 3: since bitcoin came out, you know, we got the you
- 23:21Speaker 3: know ethereum smart contracts that led to stable coins and
- 23:27Speaker 3: you know, and then we really needed regulation to start
- 23:30Speaker 3: to come in and start to see some clarity around that.
- 23:34Speaker 3: So we're really starting to see all these pieces come together.
- 23:39Speaker 3: And I think as this technology continues to grow and
- 23:43Speaker 3: as regulation becomes clear, we're going to be seeing more
- 23:47Speaker 3: brands and companies enter in the space. But we're really
- 23:51Speaker 3: excited at the Lorean to be creating the blueprint for
- 23:55Speaker 3: how traditional brands interact with this technology and come into
- 24:00Speaker 3: Web three.
- 24:01Speaker 1: You've got the opportunity now to really take a brand,
- 24:05Speaker 1: a historic brand like DeLorean, scale it in essence that
- 24:09Speaker 1: can create all sorts of Web three ecosystem connects out there.
- 24:14Speaker 1: This will be brand IP and game assets, real world
- 24:16Speaker 1: assets assets, much like you mentioned, outside the ecosystem into
- 24:20Speaker 1: other luxury goods. That's where I think a support mechanism
- 24:25Speaker 1: like a token gets very intriguing. So I'm going to
- 24:28Speaker 1: be watching this one very closely, especially as you guys
- 24:31Speaker 1: start to break a lot of new news. I know
- 24:33Speaker 1: you guys are getting ready to announce a lot of stuff,
- 24:36Speaker 1: so I can't wait for that. We'll be first in
