Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Now seor presents no Mark Simon Shaw.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Hey, what's today Thursday? It's almost Friday? Almost a rain
- 0:13Speaker 2: later today, it should be nice tomorrow. The We got
- 0:16Speaker 2: a lot to get to. There's another change the President
- 0:18Speaker 2: has made to the White House that's going to get
- 0:20Speaker 2: the left all crazy. We'll get to who's gonna replace
- 0:24Speaker 2: Caroline Leavitt. We'll get to a big setback, possibly for
- 0:28Speaker 2: Kathy Hokele. Another one from mom. Donnie, Harry and Meghan
- 0:31Speaker 2: are leaving. So see there is some good news, and
- 0:33Speaker 2: get them the hell out of this country. Assa, that's
- 0:37Speaker 2: the senator that's been viciously tearing into Donald Trump, getting
- 0:41Speaker 2: a lot of pushback from Democrats. We'll get to all
- 0:45Speaker 2: of that coming up. Let's see a price of oil
- 0:47Speaker 2: up a little. It's up two dollars to eighty eight
- 0:50Speaker 2: dollars a barrel. Let's creeping up there. Still not anywhere
- 0:53Speaker 2: near Biden territory, but it'll come down straight to hoorn
- 0:57Speaker 2: Moose is actually open now, not all of it, it's
- 1:01Speaker 2: half open. The southern route, that's the part along the
- 1:04Speaker 2: coast of Oman that's open. About nine million barrels are
- 1:09Speaker 2: coming through there every day. Normally it's twenty million, so
- 1:11Speaker 2: about half the usual oil flow, and tankers are coming
- 1:15Speaker 2: through the Straight of horn Moose.
- 1:16Speaker 3: President Trump, we have possession complete control of the strait,
- 1:20Speaker 3: I mean outside of nuisance value, and there is nuisance
- 1:23Speaker 3: value when they shoot a droned every once in a while,
- 1:26Speaker 3: and not everybody's going to go through, but they come through.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Yeah, but straight is open nine million barrels. You know,
- 1:34Speaker 2: since the war started and they closed the Straight of
- 1:38Speaker 2: horm Moose, we've gotten one thousand ships through the strait.
- 1:43Speaker 2: A thousand ships have come through there. Just in May,
- 1:46Speaker 2: around seventy ships came through, and the number has been
- 1:49Speaker 2: increasing all the time. So oil is flowing. That's one
- 1:52Speaker 2: reason the price of oil it's creeping up a little bit.
- 1:54Speaker 2: That's one reason that hasn't spiked a lot. Now this
- 1:57Speaker 2: isn't cheap.
- 1:58Speaker 4: It adds a little to our cost because to get
- 2:02Speaker 4: all these ships through, they got to be protected by
- 2:04Speaker 4: other ships, US Navy ships, helicopters, planes to intercept attacks
- 2:09Speaker 4: and all of that.
- 2:10Speaker 2: But straight is half open. Oil half the usual amount
- 2:14Speaker 2: is flowing through the Straight of Hormose. And remember, within
- 2:17Speaker 2: two years there'll be no more Straight of Horse oil
- 2:20Speaker 2: at all, it'll be no such thing. Every Gulf state
- 2:24Speaker 2: country frantically building pipelines and other routes so that they'll
- 2:28Speaker 2: never again ever use the straight of hormose to transport oil.
- 2:32Speaker 2: That'll happen just country by country, bit by bit, and
- 2:35Speaker 2: within two years straightuh hormose totally irrelevant. So the president,
- 2:41Speaker 2: you know, every time he makes a change to the
- 2:44Speaker 2: White House, the left goes nuts. You had the Rose
- 2:46Speaker 2: Garden where they had all the Rose Garden events. Now
- 2:49Speaker 2: the Rose Garden had a few roses around, but it
- 2:52Speaker 2: was basically just a lot of grass. And when you'd
- 2:54Speaker 2: have a press conference out there or a cocktail party
- 2:58Speaker 2: out there, it's on grass. A lot of times it
- 3:01Speaker 2: had rained, The grass was wet, it was muddy. Not
- 3:04Speaker 2: to mention, if you bring three hundred people out there
- 3:07Speaker 2: for an event and bring a couple hundred folding chairs
- 3:10Speaker 2: out there, you screw up the grass. So it was
- 3:12Speaker 2: always a mess. President Trump came up with the idea
- 3:15Speaker 2: of fixing that. Now, the fake news will tell you
- 3:19Speaker 2: he paved over the rose. It didn't pave over it.
- 3:21Speaker 2: He put in the most beautiful slate and marble. It's
- 3:25Speaker 2: kind of like in mar a Lago. They have that
- 3:27Speaker 2: outdoor patio. It's the most beautiful marble and slate and granite.
- 3:31Speaker 2: It's beautiful. And he did the same thing at the
- 3:34Speaker 2: Rose Garden and it's really beautiful. He put a ton
- 3:36Speaker 2: of drains in it so that it never floods. And
- 3:39Speaker 2: if you look at the drains, the little slats and
- 3:42Speaker 2: the holes in it are designed to look like the
- 3:44Speaker 2: American flag. It's beauty. It's magnificent work and it looks
- 3:49Speaker 2: much better now. And instead of the folding chairs, he
- 3:51Speaker 2: got this beautiful outdoor furniture. So now when they do
- 3:54Speaker 2: an event in the Rose Garden, it's absolutely magnificent. They
- 3:58Speaker 2: do dinners there in the summer. They call it the
- 4:00Speaker 2: Club under the Stars. They entertain Congress world leaders. It's beautiful.
- 4:06Speaker 2: So the other thing is the helicopter's land You know,
- 4:09Speaker 2: the President is always taking a helicopter and it's not
- 4:12Speaker 2: even a normal helicopter. It's Marine one. It's the heaviest
- 4:17Speaker 2: helicopter you have ever seen. And when it lands, it
- 4:22Speaker 2: lands on grass on the south lawn. This big, heavy
- 4:28Speaker 2: helicopter lands on the grass, takes off on the grass,
- 4:31Speaker 2: and it always destroys the grass. You know, there's a
- 4:34Speaker 2: lot of heat coming out of that helicopter and fans
- 4:36Speaker 2: and heat blowing. It kills the grass whenever it comes
- 4:39Speaker 2: up and down. So you know, the President is a
- 4:42Speaker 2: master builder. He's one of the great builders in America.
- 4:46Speaker 2: So as he's living in the White House, every time
- 4:48Speaker 2: he looks around he sees something that could be improved,
- 4:51Speaker 2: and the idea of not having a helipad, a heliport
- 4:55Speaker 2: and the big White House grounds seem crazy to him.
- 4:58Speaker 2: If you're always come and going in helicopters, and it's
- 5:01Speaker 2: not just the President, but world leaders other people are
- 5:04Speaker 2: often brought in by helicopter. If you got helicopters constantly
- 5:08Speaker 2: landing on your property, why would you not put in
- 5:11Speaker 2: a helipad. So he finally did it, and he did
- 5:14Speaker 2: it quick. They built the whole thing in like two days.
- 5:17Speaker 2: He got the best people in the world to do it.
- 5:19Speaker 2: And it's it's granite and all sorts of stuff. It's
- 5:22Speaker 2: not even regular granted, it's some kind of special white
- 5:25Speaker 2: California granite. It's actually designed to withstand thirty five thousand
- 5:29Speaker 2: pounds of pressure per square inch. It's the strongest in
- 5:33Speaker 2: the world, much stronger than concrete, and it's so beautiful,
- 5:37Speaker 2: this granite. They had the presidential seal carved into. Its
- 5:40Speaker 2: magnificent looking. So instead of just being a heliport, they'll
- 5:44Speaker 2: also use it for cocktail parties. It's a big, big circle.
- 5:48Speaker 2: They'll use it for events, so it's very useful. It's
- 5:53Speaker 2: a brilliant addition to the White House. Now, of course
- 5:55Speaker 2: the left wing going nuts. How much should it cost? Well,
- 5:58Speaker 2: it costs five million dollars, it's tax payer Well no,
- 6:01Speaker 2: it's not taxpayer money. Sikorsky Aircraft paid for it. It's
- 6:06Speaker 2: their helicopters. They make the helicopters. They have a contract
- 6:08Speaker 2: to make the helicopters, and it's better for the helicopter
- 6:11Speaker 2: to land on something solid than on grass. Now, the
- 6:15Speaker 2: current Marine one is a VH nine to two to
- 6:17Speaker 2: a Patriot helicopter, which is extremely heavy, generates a tremendous
- 6:24Speaker 2: amount of exhaust heat that would always damage the grass
- 6:27Speaker 2: every time it lands. So it just made sense. It's
- 6:30Speaker 2: the perfect thing to do. You'll probably hear a lot
- 6:32Speaker 2: of controversy he's wasting money building all these silly things,
- 6:36Speaker 2: but it's a great thing to do. They're actually still
- 6:38Speaker 2: working on it. They'll finish it pretty soon, and they
- 6:40Speaker 2: want it already and all set for President Cheese arrival
- 6:43Speaker 2: by helicopter. And then you know that's on the south one.
- 6:47Speaker 2: If you go up towards the entrance there there's a
- 6:51Speaker 2: crummy pavement driveway. He's replacing that with a granite plaza,
- 6:56Speaker 2: much better looking, much much better. Look it was just
- 7:00Speaker 2: a plain asphalt driveway, so he's gonna have a much
- 7:03Speaker 2: better one. With those stanchions along the set, it'll look magnificent,
- 7:06Speaker 2: much better for state arrivals. And again it's another area
- 7:11Speaker 2: you can have cocktail parties on and everything. So now,
- 7:15Speaker 2: and guess who's gonna put the grass in Scott's you
- 7:18Speaker 2: know Scott's Turf. That company, well, they apparently make all
- 7:21Speaker 2: kinds of grass. They've agreed to come and they'll pay
- 7:24Speaker 2: for it. They're going to put in the finest grass anywhere. So,
- 7:29Speaker 2: I mean, these are improvements. You're gonna hear a lot
- 7:31Speaker 2: of flack about it, but they're improvements.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I love construction.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I love seeing things properly taken care of.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Is you know we've redone the colonnade going to the
- 7:40Speaker 3: Oval Office. We put the black grunted down and now
- 7:45Speaker 3: we're out here. So for fifty years more than that,
- 7:49Speaker 3: they've wanted to have a heliport, but nobody knew how
- 7:52Speaker 3: to go about it. And we are building a great heliport.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Yeah, even if you hate President Trump, take advantage of
- 7:59Speaker 2: the He's a magnificent builder. He's one of the great
- 8:02Speaker 2: builders in the world. Let them fix the place, let
- 8:04Speaker 2: them rebuild everything, let them improve everything. They've wanted a
- 8:08Speaker 2: heliport for fifty years. But normally, any other president, anybody
- 8:12Speaker 2: in government, any politician, you want a heliport, you form
- 8:15Speaker 2: a heliport committee. Then you put together a heliport commission,
- 8:18Speaker 2: and then it goes to a heliport subcommittee, and then
- 8:21Speaker 2: it goes to Congress, and it goes through nine committees,
- 8:23Speaker 2: and it takes twenty years, and within four years that
- 8:27Speaker 2: president's gone and everybody forgets about it. So, hey, South Carolina,
- 8:32Speaker 2: it's gonna be a tough race. Lindsey Graham died, the
- 8:36Speaker 2: President appoints his the governor appoints his sister to take over,
- 8:41Speaker 2: Darlene Graham, and the President endorses her urges people to
- 8:45Speaker 2: vote for her as the next senator. But she has
- 8:47Speaker 2: her first debate and it was disaster, real disaster, not
- 8:55Speaker 2: Bloomberg type disaster. The biggest presidential debate disaster was I
- 9:00Speaker 2: don't know it was people say Gerald Ford against Carter
- 9:03Speaker 2: Ford didn't seem to know where Eastern Europe was. You
- 9:06Speaker 2: got the countries mixed up. Okay, that was embarrassing the
- 9:11Speaker 2: president of Kamala Harris. But the worst debate performance I've
- 9:14Speaker 2: ever seen in history was Bloomberg when Elizabeth Warren just
- 9:20Speaker 2: tore him apart, just leveled him. Then they had a
- 9:23Speaker 2: second debate, and they gave Bloomberg a bunch of good
- 9:25Speaker 2: lines to hit her with, and every time he tried
- 9:29Speaker 2: to recite the line, you could see he was trying
- 9:31Speaker 2: to remember it and it was memorized. She just leveled
- 9:34Speaker 2: him again, and every time she crushed Bloomberg. Go watch it.
- 9:38Speaker 2: It's just type Bloomberg, Elizabeth Warren and YouTube. Just watch it.
- 9:43Speaker 2: It's hysterical. Bloomberg becomes a chef of the future. Haamana haamanah.
- 9:47Speaker 2: I know what to say, but this was pretty embarrassing.
- 9:50Speaker 2: It's Darlene Graham and it's a debate Newsmax. Greta Van Sustron,
- 9:57Speaker 2: one of the people doing the questions She later said
- 9:59Speaker 2: she felt bad about this, but it was a simple
- 10:02Speaker 2: foreign policy question China Taiwan, and she asks Starling Graham
- 10:06Speaker 2: in the debate, how important is it national security wise.
- 10:10Speaker 5: Senator, Are Taiwan in the South China Sea national security
- 10:14Speaker 5: issues for the United States? If so, why? I'm sorry,
- 10:20Speaker 5: could you repeat the question, Are Taiwan and the South
- 10:22Speaker 5: China Sea national security issues for the United States? And
- 10:26Speaker 5: if so, why or how? I'm just going to be
- 10:30Speaker 5: honest to here. I'm not on national security that I'm
- 10:33Speaker 5: not that informed on national security. So but I do
- 10:39Speaker 5: support the military.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not good. It's not as bad as the
- 10:47Speaker 2: some of those other people I mentioned, because as ignorant
- 10:51Speaker 2: as she says, she sounds like a very nice woman,
- 10:53Speaker 2: a very sincere nice woman.
- 10:55Speaker 5: I'm just going to be honest to here. I'm not
- 10:57Speaker 5: on national security that I'm not informed on national securities.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Okay, it's pretty bad, But you know any other politician,
- 11:05Speaker 2: any politician who would say, I'm just gonna be honest,
- 11:09Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know the answer. I should know,
- 11:11Speaker 2: but I don't know what politician's honest enough to say that.
- 11:15Speaker 2: But I know, I know you can't be in office
- 11:18Speaker 2: if you don't know anything about foreign policy. But on
- 11:22Speaker 2: the other hand, you've got people in office who don't
- 11:24Speaker 2: know anything about economics, anything about Look at these people
- 11:29Speaker 2: with their socialism. They have no clue as to the
- 11:30Speaker 2: history of socialism that all ten thousand times has been tried,
- 11:35Speaker 2: it's failed, It makes absolutely no sense. So I mean
- 11:38Speaker 2: they're just as ignorant about other things. Or you got
- 11:41Speaker 2: people in office who want to defund the police. They
- 11:43Speaker 2: have no idea what the consequences are or what that does.
- 11:47Speaker 2: I mean, totally crazy, just insane. Look at Cuomo with
- 11:52Speaker 2: his no bail, no jail. This is the most ignorant
- 11:55Speaker 2: policy in the world. Cuomo with his let's close all
- 11:57Speaker 2: the prisons, let the prisoners there was crazy, absolutely crazy.
- 12:02Speaker 2: So hey, sixty minutes, they got to Barry Weiss in charge.
- 12:05Speaker 2: They're making all kinds of changes, bringing in new correspondence
- 12:10Speaker 2: sixty minutes. If you go back twenty years ago, even thirties,
- 12:14Speaker 2: it was like the number one show in television, something
- 12:16Speaker 2: like sixty five million people watched every Sunday night. Now
- 12:20Speaker 2: you're lucky if it's two million, three million. I know
- 12:24Speaker 2: they'll say, oh, sometimes we have five million. Yeah, it's
- 12:26Speaker 2: right after a big football game as a lead in.
- 12:29Speaker 2: When there's no football, it plunges. So he's trying. Barry
- 12:33Speaker 2: Wits trying to get it back to the old sixty Minutes.
- 12:36Speaker 2: You know, they were superstar correspondents. It was Mike Wallace
- 12:39Speaker 2: and Harry Reasoner. I mean, they were just superstars. And
- 12:44Speaker 2: you look at sixteen minutes now, I don't know any
- 12:45Speaker 2: of these. Bill Whittaker, Who the hell is Bill Whittaker.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Bill Whittaker, he should have been a bank robber because
- 12:54Speaker 2: nobody can remember him. Nobody can remember what he looks like.
- 12:57Speaker 2: The witnesses couldn't tell you anything. It's just a dull
- 13:00Speaker 2: guy in the world. Who else is on sixty minutes?
- 13:03Speaker 2: You see? I don't know do you ever think could
- 13:06Speaker 2: see a time wer? Nobody? Oh Leslie Stall, this old, old,
- 13:09Speaker 2: ninety year old crow. So she's trying to Burry White's
- 13:11Speaker 2: trying to get this back. She just hired a writer
- 13:14Speaker 2: from The New Yorker. You know, for all this talk
- 13:16Speaker 2: of Barry Weis's this conservative. She's not a conservative, She's
- 13:20Speaker 2: a Democrat. She's a liberal. Nothing is more slanted left
- 13:23Speaker 2: wing than the New Yorker. She just hired somebody from there.
- 13:27Speaker 2: But she's got another idea. Now. You remember, one of
- 13:29Speaker 2: the other big things of sixty minutes was Andy Rooney.
- 13:32Speaker 2: That was like the most famous feature at the end
- 13:35Speaker 2: of sixty minutes. Andy Rooney would do that segment and
- 13:40Speaker 2: it was great. It was great. So she wants to
- 13:44Speaker 2: bring that back. You remember they used to call it
- 13:45Speaker 2: a few Minutes with Andy Rooney and then he would
- 13:50Speaker 2: do these segments where he would just anything in his desk.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Why did they call it a typewriter? That kind of stuff?
- 13:57Speaker 2: Did you ever notice that? That kind of stuff? So
- 14:00Speaker 2: she wants to bring that back. Yet it's no real
- 14:02Speaker 2: Andy Rooney around. So apparently she wants Jerry Seinfeld. You know,
- 14:07Speaker 2: he's perfect, He's the king of Hey, did you ever
- 14:10Speaker 2: notice or why do they call it ovalty? You know,
- 14:13Speaker 2: he's perfect. Seinfeld says he will not do it. I mean, guys,
- 14:17Speaker 2: also the biggest comedian, most famous comedian on earth. He's
- 14:21Speaker 2: not going to come to a two minute segment for
- 14:23Speaker 2: sixty minutes. The other one they want is John Cleese apparently,
- 14:28Speaker 2: and they say they've talked to all these people and
- 14:30Speaker 2: I'm naming here. Cleese is very interested John Cleese. Yeah,
- 14:35Speaker 2: I guess he'd be good. Yeah, he'd be good. He'd
- 14:37Speaker 2: be like an Andy Rooney type. The other one they're
- 14:38Speaker 2: talking to is stephen A. Smith. This doesn't make any sense.
- 14:43Speaker 2: First of all, the idea of Andy Rooney. He was
- 14:46Speaker 2: like an old news guy, an old Lou Grant news guy,
- 14:49Speaker 2: and he was in a rumpled suit in this cluttered
- 14:52Speaker 2: office like a Lou Grant. That's not Stephen A. Smith
- 14:55Speaker 2: is wearing like a ten thousand dollars suit. Looks as
- 14:57Speaker 2: slick as can be. Also, too much yelling from him.
- 15:00Speaker 2: You know, he always starts off then by the by
- 15:03Speaker 2: the end he's yelling and screaming. So that's that's not
- 15:06Speaker 2: going to work on in sixty minutes. But Clease seems
- 15:12Speaker 2: the most interested. Watch it end up being John Cleise.
- 15:17Speaker 2: It's in the fifty ninth season. Fifty nine years that
- 15:20Speaker 2: show has been on. No, that's not the longest running show.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Meet the Press still holds the record Meet the Press
- 15:26Speaker 2: longest running show ever. Hey, all the new Apple products
- 15:29Speaker 2: are coming out coming out in September, but there's some
- 15:33Speaker 2: controversy over the new air pods, and I can see why.
- 15:36Speaker 2: We'll get to that we'll get to Harry and Megan
- 15:39Speaker 2: being thrown the hell out of the country and that's
- 15:41Speaker 2: good news. And we'll get to a Hochel and her
- 15:45Speaker 2: latest embarrassment, and a whole lot more just ahead. Don't
- 15:48Speaker 2: forget I'm on nine to noon every day. Well you're
- 15:50Speaker 2: listening obviously, you know. I'm on nine to noon, nine
- 15:53Speaker 2: to noon every day, and we'll get to all of
- 15:56Speaker 2: that stuff and more coming up next on seven to ten.
- 15:59Speaker 1: W what's better than two hours of Mark Someone three?
- 16:04Speaker 1: The Mark some Owne Show now nine till noon weekdays
- 16:09Speaker 1: seven TENO.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Hey, so hey, it's National Radio Day to day. I
- 16:18Speaker 2: hate these days, you know, I mean, I gotta be honest,
- 16:21Speaker 2: you know, I always say they're all stupid. National Donut Day,
- 16:24Speaker 2: National hot Dog Day, It's National French Friday, all right,
- 16:28Speaker 2: it's National Radio Day. In fact, tonight, iHeart we're putting
- 16:34Speaker 2: on a huge event for all of our big advertisers
- 16:37Speaker 2: for National Radio Day. It's going to be that beautiful
- 16:40Speaker 2: two Park Avenue rooftop. Although it's supposed to rain I
- 16:44Speaker 2: think later, but it's got magnificent rooftop and we've invited
- 16:48Speaker 2: all that We're gonna have all the biggest, huge, monstrous
- 16:51Speaker 2: names in radio will all be there. So that's later today.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Now Mamdanni and Hokal with all of their stupid schemes.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Now remember they've partnered up Mom, Donnie and Hokel. They're
- 17:03Speaker 2: like a tag team in us with their nonsense. All
- 17:06Speaker 2: of these stupid schemes are going to crumble now, Hochel.
- 17:10Speaker 2: One of them was the congestion pricing. And you remember
- 17:13Speaker 2: the way she pushed this through. She never said I
- 17:17Speaker 2: just want to tax you, I want to get some
- 17:19Speaker 2: money out of you. I just want to tax you.
- 17:20Speaker 2: She said, it's to bring down pollution, and it's to
- 17:26Speaker 2: bring down smog and air quality. It's to improve the
- 17:28Speaker 2: air quality. That's why we have congestion pricing. To improve
- 17:32Speaker 2: the air quality. Get less cars in midtown Manhattan. That
- 17:37Speaker 2: was her justification. Well, the Health Department just completed a
- 17:42Speaker 2: massive study and it had absolutely no effect on air quality,
- 17:48Speaker 2: zero nothing. It did not change air quality in Midtown,
- 17:53Speaker 2: made no difference, but it caused air quality to get
- 17:57Speaker 2: much worse in other areas Uptown, South Bronx, other areas.
- 18:02Speaker 2: It made the air quality a lot worse because it
- 18:06Speaker 2: caused traffic to divert to these other places to avoid
- 18:11Speaker 2: the congestion pricing, drivers took other routes, so it made
- 18:14Speaker 2: no difference where it was supposed to add an increased
- 18:18Speaker 2: pollution in other areas. So based on that, she should
- 18:23Speaker 2: drop it immediately. Now she's going to go into a
- 18:26Speaker 2: debate with Bruce Blakeman. He's going to hit her with this,
- 18:29Speaker 2: and I don't know what she's going to say to
- 18:30Speaker 2: justify this. Now, Remember it was all a scheme for
- 18:34Speaker 2: two reasons. One is to charge in an extra nine bucks.
- 18:37Speaker 2: It was to get more tax out of you. And
- 18:39Speaker 2: it was from these automobile hating left wingers who every
- 18:44Speaker 2: time they do something, every time they go green and
- 18:47Speaker 2: try to do something for the environment, they always make
- 18:50Speaker 2: it worse. It always gets a lot worse. Nothing is
- 18:53Speaker 2: worse than windmills for the environment. It causes all kinds
- 18:58Speaker 2: of nightmares. I won't go into all the details now,
- 19:01Speaker 2: but all of this stuff electricity, electric cars, they're powered
- 19:05Speaker 2: by coal. Where do you think electricity comes from? The
- 19:09Speaker 2: batteries are a nightmare to get rid of. And then
- 19:11Speaker 2: you got mom Donnie with his scheme about the government
- 19:16Speaker 2: owned grocery stores, which you'll never live to see now
- 19:20Speaker 2: a bunch of a massive amount of grocers, not the
- 19:23Speaker 2: big supermarkets, but the little supermarkets, the little grocers, mostly immigrants,
- 19:29Speaker 2: have gotten together. It's the Multi Cultural Business Coalition, which
- 19:33Speaker 2: is fifty chambers of commerce, and these are all small
- 19:36Speaker 2: business immigrant grocery owners. They've all banded together and they're
- 19:41Speaker 2: suing Mom Donnie. And they made a last ditch effort
- 19:46Speaker 2: by trying to meet with city hall. They're not they
- 19:48Speaker 2: don't want to sue, but the city Hall's not meeting
- 19:51Speaker 2: with them. They want to find a sensible solution. City
- 19:54Speaker 2: halls not meeting with them, so they're going to end
- 19:56Speaker 2: up suing like crazy. These moms Donnie grocery stores. You'll
- 20:01Speaker 2: never see one, but if you ever did. First of all,
- 20:04Speaker 2: every shoplift in the world would go in there and
- 20:06Speaker 2: just take everything. I mean, anything that hokalmm Donnie comes with.
- 20:11Speaker 2: It just sounds good. It's like a TikTok moment. They
- 20:15Speaker 2: just throw something out makes it sounds great. But meantime
- 20:18Speaker 2: they can't tell you one thing about the consequences or
- 20:21Speaker 2: how it's going to backfire. They never have any clue. Hey,
- 20:25Speaker 2: Harry and Meghan are leaving. Everybody is thrilled about that.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Can't wait to get them the hell out of the
- 20:31Speaker 2: United States. These two welfare recipients, these two out of
- 20:35Speaker 2: work idiots who you know, they can't do their income tax.
- 20:40Speaker 2: They got stumped on the first question occupation. They didn't
- 20:43Speaker 2: know what to put. So they're leaving. They're going back
- 20:46Speaker 2: to England. They don't want them there either. Royal family
- 20:51Speaker 2: wants nothing to do with them. In fact, they've been
- 20:53Speaker 2: told they will be. It's a classification called non working royals.
- 20:59Speaker 2: What royally works? Ah, maybe the king has something to
- 21:02Speaker 2: do now and then, But what do you do when
- 21:04Speaker 2: you're a royal Nothing. You go to a ribbon cutting,
- 21:09Speaker 2: you have to know how to work as scissors. You
- 21:11Speaker 2: sit at the parade and you wave. That's all you
- 21:13Speaker 2: have to do, is you wave at a parade. That's
- 21:16Speaker 2: all they do. That's the whole job. So they'll be
- 21:19Speaker 2: going back. They're not going to live in any kind
- 21:21Speaker 2: of a royal housing of any kind. They'll have to
- 21:25Speaker 2: find their own whatever. They wouldn't go back before because
- 21:29Speaker 2: the Royal family would not provide security for them. Security.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Who the hell's going to bother them? But apparently they're
- 21:36Speaker 2: going back. I think they finally realized there's absolutely nothing
- 21:39Speaker 2: for them in this country, no chance of working or
- 21:42Speaker 2: doing anything. So Apple's coming out with a new iPhone
- 21:47Speaker 2: in September, the new Watch, the new air pods. The
- 21:53Speaker 2: only thing is a video leaked out. In fact, Apple's
- 21:55Speaker 2: furious about this. A video leaked out of the new
- 21:57Speaker 2: AirPod Pro. You know the white things where you see
- 22:00Speaker 2: the little white things sticking out of the ear, But
- 22:02Speaker 2: in the video you can clearly see it's got a
- 22:04Speaker 2: camera on it. Now, that had been the rumor that
- 22:08Speaker 2: the AirPods would have a camera. They would always be
- 22:10Speaker 2: going and as you're walking around out there, the camera
- 22:14Speaker 2: would be seeing and recording everything. And the idea is
- 22:18Speaker 2: that the camera could identify stuff, so as you're walking,
- 22:22Speaker 2: it could tell you where you are or where to
- 22:24Speaker 2: walk or how to get there. But privacy concerns a
- 22:30Speaker 2: lot of people are fuming, furious because the and it
- 22:34Speaker 2: would be a feature in these air pods. If you're
- 22:37Speaker 2: walking by something you like, you can say save this
- 22:39Speaker 2: for me, and it will save the picture of the
- 22:42Speaker 2: video whatever you want. So this is bothering a lot
- 22:45Speaker 2: of people because somebody's walking around with these things on.
- 22:51Speaker 2: You know, you might be photographed, it might run you
- 22:53Speaker 2: through facial recognition, find out who you are. And there's
- 22:56Speaker 2: a lot of reasons for being concerned about privacy with
- 22:58Speaker 2: this stuff. The video got leaked, five million people saw it.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Apple is now saying, well, but the device will We'll
- 23:08Speaker 2: have a little light on it, You'll a special indicator.
- 23:11Speaker 2: We'll let you know if it's recording. What am I
- 23:12Speaker 2: supposed to do? Walk up to the guy's ear, see
- 23:14Speaker 2: if a little light is on. What if it's bright sunshine,
- 23:17Speaker 2: you gotta see that little light. I don't know. I mean,
- 23:23Speaker 2: you're gonna have to just accept all this stuff at
- 23:25Speaker 2: some point. You know, those flock cameras recording your license plate.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Everybody at some point is gonna have something those air
- 23:31Speaker 2: AirPods or the glasses that will be recording video everywhere.
- 23:35Speaker 2: You're just gonna have to get used to it at
- 23:36Speaker 2: some point. Anyway, we'll talk more about this later. We'll
- 23:39Speaker 2: take some calls next. Eight hundred three to two one
- 23:42Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number.
- 23:44Speaker 6: Mark some more.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Live from the woor Life back studios.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Hey, we'll take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 23:54Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one, zero,
- 23:58Speaker 2: seven ten. Do you ever think about a time machine
- 24:01Speaker 2: like I'd love to go back to nineteen sixty two,
- 24:05Speaker 2: nineteen twenty five, the Roaring twenties. Let's say you went
- 24:07Speaker 2: back to nineteen sixty two, you'd be stunned. There's no
- 24:11Speaker 2: such thing as a seat belt. There's no such thing
- 24:15Speaker 2: as a helmet for bikes. They didn't make anything. They
- 24:19Speaker 2: didn't even make them. There was no such thing back then.
- 24:21Speaker 2: If you watch TV, all you'd see was commercials for cigarettes.
- 24:25Speaker 2: You know, that was the biggest advertisers, the tobacco companies
- 24:29Speaker 2: that you know, one day, it was at sixty four,
- 24:31Speaker 2: sixty five, maybe later sixty seven they banned cigarette advertising.
- 24:36Speaker 2: That was a huge, huge blow to the broadcasting industry.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Not only did they advertise cigarettes, not only did they
- 24:42Speaker 2: have commercials for them, but they would you know, nowadays,
- 24:46Speaker 2: your doctor would go crazy if you smoked. The doctor
- 24:48Speaker 2: would yell you not to smoke. Back then, they would
- 24:50Speaker 2: run these commercials. Here's one for camel cigarettes. Now that
- 24:55Speaker 2: was the strongest, roughest cigarette you could smoke, frank sittatter
- 24:59Speaker 2: or smoke though camel cigarettes, unfiltered camels. Now here's a
- 25:03Speaker 2: commercial for camel cigarettes where they follow a doctor around
- 25:06Speaker 2: during the day and they tell you that doctors smoke camel.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Doctors love camel cigarettes. It's their favorite cigarette.
- 25:14Speaker 6: You would bind yourself having a mighty busy time keeping
- 25:17Speaker 6: up with him. Time out for many men of medicine
- 25:20Speaker 6: usually means just long enough to enjoy a cigarette. And
- 25:24Speaker 6: because they know what a pleasure it is to smoke
- 25:27Speaker 6: a mild, good tasting cigarette, they're particular about the brand
- 25:31Speaker 6: they choose. In a repeated national survey, doctors in all
- 25:36Speaker 6: branches of medicine, doctors in all parts of the country
- 25:39Speaker 6: were asked what cigarette do you smoke? Doctor? Once again,
- 25:44Speaker 6: the brand named most was camel.
- 25:46Speaker 7: Yes.
- 25:47Speaker 6: According to this repeated nationwide survey, more doctors smoke camels
- 25:52Speaker 6: than any other cigarette. Why not change to camels?
- 25:56Speaker 8: Now?
- 25:56Speaker 2: There's no cigarette less mild than a camel cigarette. I mean,
- 25:59Speaker 2: it was great, but it was not mild. It was
- 26:03Speaker 2: a different world back then. You could say a recent
- 26:06Speaker 2: study showed ninety nine percent of all doctors smoked camel.
- 26:10Speaker 2: First of all, that's impossible. Second of all, it was
- 26:13Speaker 2: back then there was nobody to check anything. You could
- 26:16Speaker 2: say anything on the air if you do that. Nowadays,
- 26:18Speaker 2: there's twelve committees, commissions groups that would check fact check.
- 26:23Speaker 2: You what study showed ninety nine percent of smoke. There
- 26:28Speaker 2: was very few people actually smoke camel back then. Anyway,
- 26:32Speaker 2: let's take some calls. Let's go to Victor in Cherry Ridge, Pennsylvania.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Isn't that where Billy Joe McCallister jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge.
- 26:42Speaker 6: No?
- 26:43Speaker 2: Probably, No, that was shocked tele Ridge. Okay, Cherry Ridge. Mark,
- 26:50Speaker 2: you know, when you on the other network, you on
- 26:52Speaker 2: seven days a week all the time.
- 26:54Speaker 7: So I was.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Thrilled that you got three hours, but it was great
- 26:58Speaker 2: when you on the other network. Well, you know, I
- 27:01Speaker 2: was thinking back on that, it's rough doing three hours.
- 27:03Speaker 2: But I used to fill in for Imus like twelve
- 27:04Speaker 2: weeks a year. That was four hours, and then sometimes
- 27:08Speaker 2: I'd do Imus and I come back in the afternoon
- 27:10Speaker 2: do show on Hannity, and then I would do Levins show.
- 27:12Speaker 2: So yeah, sometimes I would do eight hours in one day,
- 27:16Speaker 2: but I got used to that two hours. You get soft. Sometimes.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Let's go to uh Terry in Connecticut. Terry, how you doing.
- 27:24Speaker 8: Oh, I'm doing fine. I just wanted to thank you
- 27:27Speaker 8: for talking about the helipad yes, I heard. I happened
- 27:31Speaker 8: to hear Harold Ford yesterday and he was saying, oh,
- 27:35Speaker 8: Trump should be paying attention to other things instead of
- 27:38Speaker 8: building a helipad. And I thought, what's this helipad business?
- 27:41Speaker 8: And so you explained it so well along with all
- 27:43Speaker 8: the other things, and I thought, well, of course it
- 27:46Speaker 8: makes total sense. And he's not out there digging up
- 27:48Speaker 8: the dirt to put in the helipad anyway.
- 27:50Speaker 2: So no, but he's out there. He's great at that.
- 27:53Speaker 2: That's what he does best is build, and you great
- 27:55Speaker 2: out there. He was supervising the whole thing. Go on line.
- 27:57Speaker 2: You can see some great video of him with the guys,
- 27:59Speaker 2: the workers doing it, and it was great. Yeah. They
- 28:03Speaker 2: That is the dumbest argument in the world. What's he
- 28:07Speaker 2: doing building a helipad when he should be worrying about
- 28:09Speaker 2: the economy. What's he doing building a ball? He should
- 28:12Speaker 2: be worrying. He should be focused. Don't worry. He spends
- 28:14Speaker 2: all day on the economy and everything else. It can
- 28:17Speaker 2: take a couple of minutes to go build a helipad.
- 28:19Speaker 2: You know, the guy's a multi billionaire. This guy's had
- 28:22Speaker 2: like fifty thousand employees for forty years. He's run a
- 28:26Speaker 2: massive business all over the world. These guys can multitask
- 28:29Speaker 2: like nobody. You've ever seen any billionaire. These guys are
- 28:34Speaker 2: running like fifteen major companies at one. They can keep
- 28:37Speaker 2: track of everything. It's not like us, where you got
- 28:40Speaker 2: to stop and just focus on one thing all day
- 28:42Speaker 2: to get it done. They can focus on fifty things
- 28:44Speaker 2: at once. And this idea that why he's building a
- 28:48Speaker 2: help he should be concentrated. Well, you never saw Biden
- 28:51Speaker 2: for weeks on end. You didn't say anything about that.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Let's go to Joseph in Manhattan. Joseph, how you doing, Mark?
- 29:01Speaker 7: I am growing a mustache in memory of Frank Beard.
- 29:05Speaker 7: Zz Top Also your do hang on?
- 29:08Speaker 2: Could you hang on just a second? Just hang on
- 29:11Speaker 2: a second. This guy was something of zz top drummer
- 29:15Speaker 2: or something. I was never an easy Top fan. I
- 29:17Speaker 2: didn't understand it. But but like these old burned out
- 29:20Speaker 2: he has, he's still there. He's burned out old gippies
- 29:23Speaker 2: they loved zz top. To explain to me the greatness
- 29:26Speaker 2: of zz Top. I never got it.
- 29:29Speaker 7: Oh, great blues music, great blues music.
- 29:34Speaker 2: BB King, that was great blues music.
- 29:38Speaker 7: And and on your Tuesday three yard Mark Simone program.
- 29:41Speaker 7: A female caller, Yeah, talked about the Muslims washing their feet. Well,
- 29:46Speaker 7: I hope you, I hope you remember that young President
- 29:49Speaker 7: Bush when he went to the Middle East.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Then this is this is your ez top fan there,
- 30:00Speaker 2: always smoking something, doing something? But what is it?
- 30:03Speaker 7: Tell me the camels? I'm on the commercials.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Yeah, tell me the best commercial. What's the best ezy
- 30:08Speaker 2: Top song that I should listen to? What was the
- 30:09Speaker 2: big hit they had? Lagrange?
- 30:12Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 30:18Speaker 2: Stop stop, you're making people sick. Stop that. So what
- 30:24Speaker 2: do you see? But this is listen. There's music for
- 30:27Speaker 2: everybody and the burned out old hippies who miss woodstock
- 30:30Speaker 2: or whatever they need zz top? So what do you
- 30:33Speaker 2: do for a living? Drug dealer?
- 30:35Speaker 7: Are you no ago? Right now? I'm rookie retired, I'm
- 30:40Speaker 7: social Security and listening to the marksimone program.
- 30:43Speaker 2: What did you do for a living?
- 30:46Speaker 7: Oh? I like a James Bond.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Yeah he can't I know, I got it. He can't
- 30:51Speaker 2: tell anybody what he did for a living. You you
- 30:54Speaker 2: probably dealed in herbs or something to put it that way. Yes, yes,
- 30:59Speaker 2: a nerbologist. Okay, worked in a headship for years with
- 31:04Speaker 2: this easy top playing in the background. Let's go to
- 31:09Speaker 2: Alan in Brooklyn. Alan, how you doing well?
- 31:12Speaker 9: My many is ourn ladies walking to me from Brooklyn
- 31:14Speaker 9: from flat Bush.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Yeah, we didn't wake you, did we? But huh, okay.
- 31:20Speaker 9: I have a joke for you.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Well you're off to a flying start. Go ahead.
- 31:24Speaker 9: The just picture that. By the way, the fact is
- 31:26Speaker 9: he used to the commercial I'd walk a mile for camel. Yeah,
- 31:29Speaker 9: he plays the part in the in the joke.
- 31:32Speaker 2: I've just been explained for people under one hundred. The
- 31:35Speaker 2: slogan of the camel cigarettes, I'd walk a mile for
- 31:38Speaker 2: a camel. Now go ahead.
- 31:41Speaker 9: A male camel and a female camel. She's recognized with
- 31:43Speaker 9: a female. She's got a bowl by between her ears. Uh,
- 31:46Speaker 9: and she says she sing to him. I don't care
- 31:48Speaker 9: if he did walk him out.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Oh that's the whole joke.
- 31:52Speaker 9: That's it.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Okay, So you don't like it, well, I would say,
- 31:57Speaker 2: if you're playing Carnegie Hall, don't close with that one anyway.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Like a road show, Jackie Martlets.
- 32:04Speaker 9: I got a lot of mature but the better.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Thanks for the warning. All right, thanks for calling. You
- 32:12Speaker 2: need to get an unlisted number something here. Anyway, we'll
- 32:15Speaker 2: take some more calls. Later and we got a lot
- 32:17Speaker 2: to get to. We'll get to uh hey, uh Press secretary.
- 32:22Speaker 2: The front runner has dropped out, so who's going to
- 32:24Speaker 2: replace Caroline Levitt. We'll get to that coming up. Jimmy
- 32:27Speaker 2: Taylor will be with us a little later on, and
- 32:30Speaker 2: we'll get to what Amazon is going to try next.
- 32:34Speaker 2: It sounds a little scary to me. I don't really
- 32:37Speaker 2: like it, but a lot coming up. Mark Simone here
- 32:40Speaker 2: every day nine to noon, nine am to noon. Then
- 32:43Speaker 2: at noon you got Buck Sexton, Clay Travis. That's a
- 32:45Speaker 2: very good show every day at noon. Then at three
- 32:47Speaker 2: o'clock we have right here the single most listened to
- 32:51Speaker 2: radio show in the world, Sean Hannity at three o'clock.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Jesse Kelly's on at six, Jimmy Taylor, what a funny show.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Every night nine to midnight. It's all here on seven
- 33:01Speaker 2: ten wr.
- 33:03Speaker 1: What's better than two hours of Mark someone three? They'll
- 33:07Speaker 1: mark some own show now nine till noon weekdays.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Seven to teno. Well, the weather forecast for today is rain,
- 33:19Speaker 2: probably this afternoon. It will be rain this afternoon and tonight.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Now there could be a shower, There could be a
- 33:24Speaker 2: heavy thundershower at some point late afternoon early evening, and
- 33:29Speaker 2: then a couple of thunderstorms tonight. Tomorrow's supposed to be
- 33:33Speaker 2: pretty good, not great, but it'll be partly sunny, no rain,
- 33:36Speaker 2: be a nice day tomorrow. And then they've changed the
- 33:38Speaker 2: forecast for the weekend. It looks like now on Saturday
- 33:42Speaker 2: there'll be showers and a thunderstorm at night, and then
- 33:46Speaker 2: it looks like showers thunderstorms on Sunday. So it's not
- 33:49Speaker 2: a great weekend forecast. I can't wait for this summer
- 33:52Speaker 2: to be over. This weather wise, it's just been a mess.
- 33:56Speaker 2: But just beware tonight you could have showers and thunderstorm
- 34:00Speaker 2: and some it won't be so bad in Manhattan, but
- 34:02Speaker 2: other areas they're talking about flooding and that sort of stuff,
- 34:05Speaker 2: So keep an eye on that. Hey, don't forget. The
- 34:08Speaker 2: show is now three hours. I start at nine. If
- 34:11Speaker 2: you just tuned in, you missed the first hour. It's
- 34:13Speaker 2: nine to noon every day, and we'll be back after
- 34:16Speaker 2: the news with a lot more coming up on seven
- 34:17Speaker 2: to ten. Wor
