- 0:01Speaker 1: Here's your host, Alex Garrett. There's so much sports going on.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I mean, look at what the Knicks just did today
- 0:10Speaker 1: in Game number four to go up three to one
- 0:12Speaker 1: against the Pistons, that I have not been able to
- 0:17Speaker 1: get to the news of the week. And so that's
- 0:20Speaker 1: why I love Sundays because Sundays is sort of the
- 0:22Speaker 1: news wrap around for me and the one line up
- 0:24Speaker 1: on news or I do a Monday update for the weekend.
- 0:27Speaker 1: But the one look up on news for me was
- 0:30Speaker 1: this headline from NPR earlier in the week, which said
- 0:36Speaker 1: the White House is looking to replace Pete heg Seth
- 0:39Speaker 1: as Defense Secretary. Now it's a very intriguing headline, the
- 0:48Speaker 1: White House is looking to replace Peteggs Seth as Defense
- 0:51Speaker 1: Secretary because he had another group chat on signal with
- 0:57Speaker 1: his wife, brother, and lawyer. And I'm thinking to myself,
- 1:04Speaker 1: though these are unnamed sources, it looks pretty legit that
- 1:08Speaker 1: this guy Heg Seth was again involved in leaking he himself.
- 1:18Speaker 1: And why I bring this up is because it feels
- 1:26Speaker 1: like there's so much turmoil around this and I do
- 1:29Speaker 1: think there's be accountability. I want to see more leakers
- 1:33Speaker 1: that leaked this information out. But if Sethe Hegseth himself
- 1:40Speaker 1: is leaking out different stories to his wife, I don't
- 1:44Speaker 1: care if it's wife. His mom is that it's not good.
- 1:49Speaker 1: It's not good. So that was the wildest headline of
- 1:55Speaker 1: the week. Look a US judge being arrested for harboring
- 1:59Speaker 1: on documented immigrant, basically preventing deportation when maybe he was
- 2:04Speaker 1: violent as it seems. The State Department is saying, well,
- 2:11Speaker 1: maybe judges should be held accountable for their actions as well.
- 2:16Speaker 1: But the big story I want to get to, which
- 2:18Speaker 1: was firing me up because you know, X has these
- 2:22Speaker 1: ads that pop up out of nowhere and invitess co
- 2:28Speaker 1: I n I n v I t as CO is
- 2:33Speaker 1: now following one. Look up Alex and Alex jnysc one,
- 2:36Speaker 1: thank you so much. But because they had a huge
- 2:39Speaker 1: thread saying America Inc. Is staring away from bankruptcy when
- 2:45Speaker 1: it comes to these tariffs. And we'll get that in
- 2:52Speaker 1: one second. Just one last thing. It's amazing how Pope
- 2:54Speaker 1: Friends's death has led to maybe a peace deal between
- 2:58Speaker 1: Russia and you. Who will ever get that image in
- 3:01Speaker 1: the Vatican of Trump and Zelenski sitting down to talk
- 3:06Speaker 1: about a peace deal. Pope Francis always wanted unity, always
- 3:11Speaker 1: wanted ceasefires. Well maybe in his passing in the Vatican
- 3:15Speaker 1: that was struck right then and there, and that could
- 3:18Speaker 1: be a way both of these men carry on the
- 3:21Speaker 1: legacy of Pope frances by bringing peace into the world
- 3:26Speaker 1: just a little bit more or way more. But I digress.
- 3:30Speaker 1: These tariffs that are going on. I've often thought if
- 3:35Speaker 1: they did not tax the allies, then the stock market
- 3:38Speaker 1: wouldn't have gone crazy, if the media was not misreporting
- 3:44Speaker 1: what a ninety day pausing mean, then that I think
- 3:56Speaker 1: the market would have been calmed down. But he decided
- 4:06Speaker 1: to put tariffs on these different countries. But here's where
- 4:12Speaker 1: Invatust is talking about in a huge thread, why these
- 4:19Speaker 1: tariffs might work. Going into all of this, we had
- 4:23Speaker 1: thirty four trillion dollars in debt. Did you know that?
- 4:26Speaker 1: I don't think I knew that. They called it a
- 4:29Speaker 1: corporate restructuring reset, trade, cut costs, build production, and do
- 4:38Speaker 1: what they call a global reset. Invadist dot com is
- 4:43Speaker 1: where they want you to go. I'll drop that link
- 4:45Speaker 1: in the podcast below. But they go on to say
- 4:56Speaker 1: America has been spending more than it earns, facing rising
- 5:00Speaker 1: interest costs, running trade deficits, losing leverage and supply chains,
- 5:05Speaker 1: which is true, and intellectual property enforcement. And there's a
- 5:16Speaker 1: whole list that tariffs can be effective when targeted and
- 5:22Speaker 1: strategically used. Unlike soft diplomatic tools, tariffs introduce a real
- 5:26Speaker 1: economic pressure that can change behaviors. Suppliers face loss of
- 5:31Speaker 1: US market access, consumers feel rising costs, creating public warns
- 5:36Speaker 1: of underlying trade dynamics, and partners are pushed to renegotiate
- 5:40Speaker 1: trade terms. The Trump administration's Section three oh one tariffs
- 5:47Speaker 1: on Chinese goods between eighteen and twenty created a sharp
- 5:50Speaker 1: drop in certain imports and prompted run new negotiations through
- 5:55Speaker 1: retaliatory tariffs and price increases also had real mestic costs.
- 6:06Speaker 1: They say social Security is protected to be insolvent by
- 6:09Speaker 1: twenty to thirty five. Did you see how many legal
- 6:12Speaker 1: immigrants were getting Social Security? By the way, and I
- 6:18Speaker 1: heard that dogs removed many people who were one hundred
- 6:22Speaker 1: and twenty plus years old, most likely dead, from the
- 6:25Speaker 1: social Security roles to prevent more fraud. There are people
- 6:29Speaker 1: still using How sick is this? And I believe it.
- 6:33Speaker 1: There are people still using their parents, their grandparents' Social
- 6:38Speaker 1: Security checks one hundred and twenty plus years old. Tell
- 6:41Speaker 1: me how that's bossed. That's how else that's possible. So
- 6:50Speaker 1: hopefully by getting rid of these situations where one hundred
- 6:55Speaker 1: and twenty plus year rolls are still getting Social Security checks,
- 6:59Speaker 1: there past the way we can make it a more
- 7:03Speaker 1: solvent situation for those sixty five and older. They believe.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Impatist believes fair trade, recipross rety and tariffs improved IP
- 7:21Speaker 1: enforcements is one of the ways we can restructure American America, Inc.
- 7:30Speaker 1: And to prevent really the loss of money. And I
- 7:42Speaker 1: don't want us to keep losing money. I don't want
- 7:44Speaker 1: to stab this trade deficit at all. But I also
- 7:59Speaker 1: don't want uh our allies to feel like we're alienating.
- 8:05Speaker 1: So I have to bring on Inpetus and ask how
- 8:07Speaker 1: we can do this without so much as diplomacy over tariffing,
- 8:17Speaker 1: because the trade wars are something we don't want either.
- 8:23Speaker 1: But I wanted to bring your attention. We have thirty
- 8:25Speaker 1: four trillion dollars in debt. In debt that's wild, And
- 8:34Speaker 1: in the chat with Inpetus, they went into it further,
- 8:39Speaker 1: saying President Clinton used them to get a better trade deal.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Tariffs are only there to punish unfair practices and get
- 8:46Speaker 1: people to create fair trade deals like Mexico and Canada.
- 8:52Speaker 1: And there have been other stories about the supply chain,
- 8:56Speaker 1: which I had gotten word of because and I've had
- 9:11Speaker 1: Gatita on before, remember Gatita. But there are folks on
- 9:19Speaker 1: the ground where suppliers are agreeing to absorb part of
- 9:29Speaker 1: the tariff, another offering better payment terms on the spot,
- 9:33Speaker 1: one dropping price without pushed back. And according to Gatita,
- 9:42Speaker 1: it's because they're on the ground in China, because there
- 9:46Speaker 1: are tariffs are one hundred and forty five percent, And
- 9:49Speaker 1: I again, I get it. We don't want the CCP
- 9:53Speaker 1: take advantage of us, we don't want to try to
- 9:55Speaker 1: take advantage of us. And I think that's more of
- 9:59Speaker 1: a mess than an actual long term thing one hundred
- 10:03Speaker 1: and forty five percent. But if these suppliers are going
- 10:11Speaker 1: on the ground, kudos to them to try and combat
- 10:14Speaker 1: and work around this if you will. And then I
- 10:21Speaker 1: saw another person with an ad saying that they're able
- 10:24Speaker 1: to rise above the tariffs through their supply chain and whatnot.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I got to find them as well, because there are
- 10:34Speaker 1: people doing what they can to combat all of this
- 10:41Speaker 1: tariff frenzy if you will, but if impetus, thank god
- 10:50Speaker 1: there's someone out there laying it out for people who
- 10:53Speaker 1: may not understand it. I still don't understand it fully
- 11:02Speaker 1: because I get you want to bring people to the table,
- 11:06Speaker 1: and maybe doing that through tariffs. I mean, I didn't
- 11:11Speaker 1: know this. This is the other set that stood out
- 11:13Speaker 1: to me. With imphasis. The US recorded a nine one
- 11:15Speaker 1: hundred and eighteen point four billion dollar trade deficit, So
- 11:20Speaker 1: it's one of those greater good things. Are we gonna
- 11:22Speaker 1: feel a pinch now? Yes? Do we really want that pinch? No?
- 11:27Speaker 1: Do I really want our allies being tariffed? No? I
- 11:30Speaker 1: just think they should be encouraged to pay their share
- 11:33Speaker 1: and come to the table. But but when you look
- 11:42Speaker 1: at the nine hundred and eighteen point four billion dollar
- 11:44Speaker 1: trade deficit, then these tariffs might be doing a greater good.
- 11:53Speaker 1: And this was the other thing because talking about theft
- 12:01Speaker 1: property that I just learned this also over one point
- 12:12Speaker 1: seven seven billion dollars of stolen money through cryptocurrency. Act
- 12:19Speaker 1: is why I don't buy into the doge coin and
- 12:21Speaker 1: the big coin and the you know, whatever coin there
- 12:25Speaker 1: is of the day, because someone hacked off with one
- 12:33Speaker 1: point five billion dollars. So theft is there, theft is ongoing,
- 12:40Speaker 1: theft continues, and maybe these tariffs can say well, we're
- 12:45Speaker 1: not gonna let you steal us, steal our money. We're
- 12:48Speaker 1: not gonna let you steal the cryptocurrency finance bros. If
- 12:54Speaker 1: you will money. And I just hope that with all
- 13:09Speaker 1: the craziness we're seeing, whether it's the leaking which makes
- 13:13Speaker 1: us less secure as a country, whether it's leaking plans
- 13:17Speaker 1: about how Israel was going to attack Iran, that these
- 13:28Speaker 1: tariffs can make us stronger and yes, encourage more reciprocity
- 13:38Speaker 1: so that we aren't taking up the burden of the world.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Why is it, and I'm gonna go here for a
- 13:45Speaker 1: second real quick, why is it that there are self
- 13:52Speaker 1: proclaimed socialists that are being so welcomed in to the
- 14:03Speaker 1: to the to the left party of the Democrat Party
- 14:06Speaker 1: more so, who say everybody needs to pay their fairst share,
- 14:11Speaker 1: the whales, they have to pay their fair share. And
- 14:13Speaker 1: yet when it comes to these tariffs, when it comes
- 14:15Speaker 1: to Trump saying every other country needs to pay their
- 14:17Speaker 1: fair share? Oh, why is he doing that? Now? I
- 14:23Speaker 1: don't like his approach at times I think anybody does.
- 14:27Speaker 1: And I think he needs to step in more than
- 14:29Speaker 1: a RFK. I think he needs to step in with
- 14:32Speaker 1: what's going on in New York with the cd PAP overhaul.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Because RFK is stepping in but I'm not seeing much results.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Maybe Trump needs to make it his concern because there
- 14:52Speaker 1: is a swath of the Sable people being screwed over
- 14:55Speaker 1: right now, and I have to bring attention to it
- 15:01Speaker 1: once again. And these tariffs don't help with medical supplies.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I understand that, and I've talked about that with different people,
- 15:19Speaker 1: But the fact of the matter is I'm a little
- 15:23Speaker 1: more convinced thanks to impetus CO that these tariffs will
- 15:27Speaker 1: indeed help us have one leg up and Trump being
- 15:36Speaker 1: focused on everything else he needs to dial in and
- 15:39Speaker 1: the mass speak of chiefs thing. It's a fight to
- 15:42Speaker 1: take on. But now I want to see if he
- 15:45Speaker 1: can step in on congestion pricing. He could step in
- 15:48Speaker 1: on the CDPAP situation as well, while we're here on
- 15:50Speaker 1: the one leg up on news, he personally can while
- 15:57Speaker 1: tackling everything else that's going on. I mean this news cycle,
- 16:02Speaker 1: and we're almost the one hundredth day of Trump's term
- 16:07Speaker 1: In fact, I'm on day We're on day ninety eight
- 16:09Speaker 1: as I'm talking to you right now, and in day
- 16:32Speaker 1: ninety eight, the trumpannisician can say they've been doing great.
- 16:37Speaker 1: And I do think ruining out the violence illegals has
- 16:43Speaker 1: been a win. But I think there's gotta be more
- 16:49Speaker 1: pinpointedness to it and more accuracy to it. I heard
- 16:56Speaker 1: a two year old kid was wrongfully deported. How does
- 17:02Speaker 1: that happen in this chaos, in this frenzy. But while
- 17:18Speaker 1: we can all focus on how great the Knicks were today,
- 17:24Speaker 1: I have to bring it back to one look up
- 17:26Speaker 1: on news because we don't have a safe Department of Defense,
- 17:32Speaker 1: if we don't have a safe judicial system where judges
- 17:38Speaker 1: and look, you might disagree with me, I like the
- 17:40Speaker 1: Rogue Rulings Act. How is the one federal judge can
- 17:45Speaker 1: impact the entire country? If you can't tell, I haven't
- 17:49Speaker 1: talked about this yet, so it's on my mind, But
- 17:52Speaker 1: I can one judge in the entire country affect everything
- 17:57Speaker 1: else going on? This has to be a case by case,
- 18:00Speaker 1: county by county, state by state, appellate court, circuit court,
- 18:05Speaker 1: whatever decision at that level. One decision in Maine should
- 18:14Speaker 1: not be a federal wide thing. Why because our states
- 18:19Speaker 1: are are not one size that fits in a box.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Or however the saying goes, So these tariffs, should they
- 18:34Speaker 1: be adjusted? Yes? Should they be needed to know?
- 18:37Speaker 2: Because we need to not be taken advantage of to
- 18:41Speaker 2: begin with, but because we have been, I mean nine
- 18:48Speaker 2: hundred and eighteen point four billion dollars in debt, impetus
- 18:54Speaker 2: digging that out for us.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Tonight here on the Wall cup On News. We could
- 19:00Speaker 1: bring that money back, maybe first through tariffs, but maybe
- 19:08Speaker 1: through diplomacy as well, and make deals and good ones
- 19:20Speaker 1: for both America and our allies. But it's all connected.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Rooting out the fact that one hundred and twenty plus
- 19:35Speaker 1: year olds are and I know I spoke out against it,
- 19:38Speaker 1: but I didn't realize how in depth they were going.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I thought they were targeting every Social Security person who
- 19:43Speaker 1: has it, but no, they're really going for those who
- 19:45Speaker 1: are pretty much dead. So routing out that, rooting out
- 19:53Speaker 1: judges that you know are doing things to harm our country,
- 20:03Speaker 1: I think harboring and illegal. Why would Phil Murphy said
- 20:06Speaker 1: he did? That's not good either. You're the governor of
- 20:11Speaker 1: New Jersey saying that as chaotic and as his frenzied
- 20:19Speaker 1: and as gutting, and you know, there do seem to
- 20:28Speaker 1: be real threats to medicated which we have to prevent.
- 20:35Speaker 1: And it's not been a glorious ninety eight days. I'm sorry,
- 20:43Speaker 1: it just has not. It's been chaos, albeit not many
- 20:53Speaker 1: resignations like it was the first time Trump had the
- 20:56Speaker 1: first one hundred days. I feel like there was in
- 20:57Speaker 1: and out revolving doors. But on the tariffs, I like
- 21:09Speaker 1: that he's pressuring China, But now the question is can
- 21:14Speaker 1: he do it without having to tariff everybody else that
- 21:19Speaker 1: are our allies and an island of penguins. There's got
- 21:25Speaker 1: to be precision here, and unlike the first term, I
- 21:30Speaker 1: feel it's less precise in some areas. And do I
- 21:38Speaker 1: mean due process? I don't know. I feel like if
- 21:43Speaker 1: you are a known violent illegal, you should be deported
- 21:50Speaker 1: on the spot. The due process is where it goes
- 21:53Speaker 1: when you oversay the HB one visa. The due process
- 21:57Speaker 1: is the non violent situation going on, because there are
- 22:01Speaker 1: people here that come here for a better life, and
- 22:06Speaker 1: they're unfortunately not vetted either because the system is so
- 22:16Speaker 1: laxed down at the board. And you can say, well,
- 22:18Speaker 1: why are you blaming the system, Well, because the system
- 22:22Speaker 1: should make it more affordable for people to be legalized
- 22:28Speaker 1: if they truly want to be here and contribute to America.
- 22:34Speaker 1: None just allowed in because the Democrats at the time
- 22:38Speaker 1: who were running the country. I said, that's okay, we'll
- 22:41Speaker 1: have a lax person. Now, you can't have a lax person.
- 22:43Speaker 1: You have to have a very very strict procedure. So
- 22:55Speaker 1: we got to have one leg up on the leaking
- 22:57Speaker 1: in and the leaking out. And we can do that,
- 23:05Speaker 1: then we will have one leg up in America. And
- 23:14Speaker 1: as I started the show, I hope that the store
- 23:19Speaker 1: the headline of the week about the White House looking
- 23:27Speaker 1: to replace Pete Hegseth on the April twenty second of
- 23:31Speaker 1: this week. It's probably just conjecture because these sources, again
- 23:45Speaker 1: are unnamed, but it's a daring headline in the week
- 23:53Speaker 1: because we want a defense secretary and a defense that
- 23:56Speaker 1: will preserve us and keep us nationally at national's you
- 24:00Speaker 1: already safe, and that means vetting who is in and
- 24:09Speaker 1: out of these chats, just like we have to vet
- 24:13Speaker 1: who is in out of the country, and bet how
- 24:19Speaker 1: we can reduce, yes, reduce the trade deficits nine hundred
- 24:26Speaker 1: and eighteen point four billion billion dollars. That's not having
- 24:32Speaker 1: us have one leg up in America for America. That's
- 24:36Speaker 1: kneecapping us. And I'm done being kneecapped, aren't you
