- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Relatables. Sometimes, if I'm feeling like big
- 0:03Speaker 1: emotions sadness, frustration, blah blah blah, the thing that I'm
- 0:07Speaker 1: thinking in my head that i want to say is
- 0:10Speaker 1: not the right thing to say, because I'm not thinking straight.
- 0:13Speaker 2: When you articulate with your mouth when you're in like
- 0:15Speaker 2: these states of frustration or sad it's really hard to
- 0:18Speaker 2: get out what you're thinking, and because emotion takes over
- 0:21Speaker 2: and you say something you don't really mean. But the
- 0:22Speaker 2: easiest way to like actually do it is write it
- 0:24Speaker 2: down how you're feeling. The Relatables podcast is hosted by myself,
- 0:40Speaker 2: Oddie Clark aka Mummy and my partner in crime we
- 0:43Speaker 2: found Out Patrick to my SpongeBob, Jake Craig aka Daddy,
- 0:49Speaker 2: I have been living up to that lately. I actually have.
- 0:52Speaker 2: For those who don't know, Jake is back from Canada. Yes,
- 0:56Speaker 2: and get lagged, that's what he's calling it. But I
- 0:58Speaker 2: say his true colors are shining through a little bit.
- 1:03Speaker 2: I'm saying jet lagged. I've been. I had a couple
- 1:05Speaker 2: of days of struggle with just like I didn't even
- 1:07Speaker 2: feel that tired.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I just had a couple of days of struggle with
- 1:11Speaker 1: I would say, just being an idiot.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Main one, yeah, main one.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Was it was my stepmom's birthdawn Saturday night, two days
- 1:18Speaker 1: after I got home.
- 1:20Speaker 2: My dad goes.
- 1:20Speaker 1: My dad invites us obviously Macbeth and I and I'm like, yet,
- 1:24Speaker 1: we can go? And then I text him and I say, oh,
- 1:29Speaker 1: what time's dinner again? And he texts me six pm
- 1:33Speaker 1: and he says the place I thought it set a
- 1:35Speaker 1: place called ed Along Diggers, which is like, not nice.
- 1:40Speaker 2: It, not to shit on it.
- 1:42Speaker 1: But and I was like in my head, I was like, okay,
- 1:46Speaker 1: we get there at six sign in and like Beth
- 1:50Speaker 1: forgets her id and she says, this whole debacle was
- 1:52Speaker 1: signing into this place, because that's how you have to
- 1:54Speaker 1: do it. Here and again, and I'm looking for him
- 1:56Speaker 1: and she goes, can you see him? And I'm like, nah,
- 1:57Speaker 1: I can't see him, and she goes, oh, check the tees.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Maybe he said six thirty, and I look at it
- 2:01Speaker 1: and I was like fuck. He said he wrote Empire
- 2:04Speaker 1: Bay Taverns.
- 2:04Speaker 2: This is a completely different restaurant. Completely. It was like
- 2:07Speaker 2: ten minutes away. I was, and I had to call
- 2:09Speaker 2: and I was like, we came here I couldn't, like,
- 2:11Speaker 2: I'll tell you what's worse. Man. When so his step
- 2:14Speaker 2: mom is a twin. So they're gone for his birthday
- 2:18Speaker 2: and he goes to his step mom happy birthday, and
- 2:21Speaker 2: her twin's there. He doesn't say happy birthday, just says hey,
- 2:26Speaker 2: hey god. Oh. Firstly, so I get into this restaurant
- 2:30Speaker 2: in all a fit of a and I'm in shambles
- 2:32Speaker 2: because I went to the wrong place to start off with.
- 2:34Speaker 2: And I get in, I go see my mom, my stepmom,
- 2:37Speaker 2: and like happy birthday, Happy birthday. And I didn't say
- 2:39Speaker 2: even say hi to anyone else. I just like kind
- 2:41Speaker 2: of walked away. I was like, yeah, it's over and
- 2:42Speaker 2: done with. And then I was like, oh, oh shit,
- 2:44Speaker 2: and I went and said hideways. I was like, sorry, I forgot
- 2:46Speaker 2: to say hid Jake's got a big family too. That
- 2:48Speaker 2: a few people there.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I was like, I went and had to say high
- 2:50Speaker 1: like four more people. And then halfway through dinner, it's
- 2:53Speaker 1: when I went over to birth and I was.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Like, oh, it's Fiona's birthday as well. Yeah, man, and
- 2:58Speaker 2: we were like fuck. So if Jake says something a
- 3:02Speaker 2: bit dumb today, we'll give him a little bit of
- 3:05Speaker 2: an excuse. Ye, I need benefit of the give a.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I'm a few days in, but I'm sleeping good, sleeping great.
- 3:11Speaker 2: But I mean I've had a dog in the bed
- 3:12Speaker 2: because Henry fucking sleeps in the bed. Now Beth has
- 3:14Speaker 2: just been letting him sleep in the bed. And while
- 3:16Speaker 2: I was away, I was like, I was like, does
- 3:17Speaker 2: he can even sleep in the crate anymore? Is he
- 3:19Speaker 2: just gonna cry? And she was like, no, he can,
- 3:20Speaker 2: he can, he can. And then when we got here,
- 3:22Speaker 2: I caved and I was like, yeah, you can just
- 3:24Speaker 2: sleep in the bed. Parenting mate, parenting. But today, Jake,
- 3:28Speaker 2: I want to start something off. I wanted to know
- 3:31Speaker 2: this happens to me all the time. I wonder if
- 3:33Speaker 2: this is relatable, and I want to know when I
- 3:35Speaker 2: lose my spatial awareness. Ah. So you've had to have experiences.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Everyone listening most of our demographics like twenty Yeah, so
- 3:43Speaker 2: you go to the shops. Shops is the main place
- 3:45Speaker 2: that happens. Might be anywhere though, and you're going to
- 3:48Speaker 2: like going through the aisles and there's someone there with
- 3:50Speaker 2: big trolley and they're standing right in front of you
- 3:53Speaker 2: and you're just waiting there and they just take about
- 3:55Speaker 2: it has to be a couple of minutes. And how
- 3:57Speaker 2: do they not know that you're there? Do you mean
- 4:00Speaker 2: at what age are you gonna lose your special away? Yeah?
- 4:02Speaker 2: Like I swear I can see other people special awareness
- 4:05Speaker 2: of them not knowing that someone's right behind them, and
- 4:07Speaker 2: I see it and then I'm like, I've been standing
- 4:09Speaker 2: here for a sold forty five seconds, dude, Like just move.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I That is one of my biggest pet peeves is
- 4:15Speaker 1: and it always happens to me in for some reason,
- 4:17Speaker 1: I rarely buy spices.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Yeah, never buy spices old these and spices, and so
- 4:22Speaker 2: whenever I do, just go buy some onion powder or
- 4:25Speaker 2: something I don't know because I'm too lazy to cut
- 4:27Speaker 2: of onions. I'll go over and I'm looking for it,
- 4:29Speaker 2: and there is always yeah someone never I had never
- 4:32Speaker 2: twenty They're never twenty years old. Everyone our a haes
- 4:35Speaker 2: special awareness. Like if someone if I'm like looking for someone,
- 4:38Speaker 2: I'm looking at the calories and someone walks behind me,
- 4:39Speaker 2: I see they're there, and I'm like, oh, here, go
- 4:42Speaker 2: get in. What I'm looking at is these people just
- 4:45Speaker 2: put that trolley there. They stand there and just pog
- 4:47Speaker 2: the whole thing up and you can't just reach over
- 4:49Speaker 2: because the whole trolley's there is.
- 4:50Speaker 1: It's something about Okay, I don't want to just give
- 4:52Speaker 1: shit to old people, but there is something about them.
- 4:54Speaker 1: If there's something, there's some sort of entitlement when you.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Get to an age of I was thinking, do they
- 4:58Speaker 2: just not care? Is it growing up as a boomer? Maybe?
- 5:00Speaker 1: Well, because I feel like they grew up in this
- 5:02Speaker 1: day and age where they were they just were so
- 5:06Speaker 1: like boomers. Apparently there's this whole thing in boomers where
- 5:09Speaker 1: like bigger is better and all that. So they almost
- 5:11Speaker 1: have this entitlement where they want to be the best.
- 5:14Speaker 1: And so that must just mean like I'm not being
- 5:17Speaker 1: Oh I'm.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Not being fucking nice, because even if you think about it,
- 5:19Speaker 2: like when I worked at a restaurant, I don't recognize
- 5:22Speaker 2: anything to do with being nice. I reckon, they don't
- 5:23Speaker 2: know you're there. Oh really, I reckon, they have no
- 5:25Speaker 2: idea you're there. I have a feel. I've always thought
- 5:28Speaker 2: it's like, oh, they'll like sure, they don't care, and
- 5:32Speaker 2: in their head it's like I got here first, they
- 5:34Speaker 2: have to wait their turn. Oh that's what That's how
- 5:36Speaker 2: I've always thought. I've always like you're just so fucking rude.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Maybe I really like old people not shitting on them.
- 5:41Speaker 2: But I've always just thought like, at like age like
- 5:43Speaker 2: thirty five, I'm just gonna lose some sense in the
- 5:45Speaker 2: back of my head and I'm like people around me,
- 5:47Speaker 2: but I don't know that exist anymore. Sometimes they will
- 5:50Speaker 2: be like, oh, sorry, sorry, and then they'll move. But
- 5:53Speaker 2: sometimes even like a dad who's like forty and you're
- 5:55Speaker 2: just there and he's like looking at them, I feel
- 5:57Speaker 2: like that makes sense. Oh, I have funniest thing happened
- 5:59Speaker 2: the other day. I don't know what he was buying
- 6:02Speaker 2: is he was in the I was looking at the
- 6:03Speaker 2: soap aisle and that's like the feminine aisle. Yeah, yeah,
- 6:06Speaker 2: for all the girl products. And there's this guy on
- 6:07Speaker 2: the phone and our coles has terrible reception. He's like
- 6:10Speaker 2: yelling into it, trying to find this female product, and
- 6:13Speaker 2: he's like had to be fifty. It's like, I don't
- 6:15Speaker 2: know what I'm looking for. And it was like just
- 6:18Speaker 2: he was in like the Tampa and I in like
- 6:20Speaker 2: that one. It was just so funny, like what some
- 6:24Speaker 2: extra large I was like, this is like a movie
- 6:26Speaker 2: out of the movie. Yeah, how old were you when
- 6:29Speaker 2: you found out there were sizes for tampons? Oh, I
- 6:32Speaker 2: remember finding I think it was like year twelve. Yeah,
- 6:34Speaker 2: I feel like I found out later than I should have.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Maybe it was on TikTok time. Maybe it was later. Yeah,
- 6:40Speaker 2: there's a trend on TikTok that went about it wasn't
- 6:42Speaker 2: it we?
- 6:42Speaker 1: And also I know I found out from an Adam
- 6:44Speaker 1: Sandler movie. Really, So there's this Adam Sandler movie.
- 6:47Speaker 2: I don't know which one it is, but he's a
- 6:48Speaker 2: single dad I don't know, and he's always just like
- 6:50Speaker 2: I see he's Adam Sander's always a single dad or
- 6:52Speaker 2: something in a movie, and he just gets hot chicks. Yeah,
- 6:54Speaker 2: because he writes ally on movies. And his girl, his
- 6:57Speaker 2: daughter in that too. He's like he's worth like five
- 7:00Speaker 2: hundred million dollars. It's like, yeah, it work. But so
- 7:04Speaker 2: he's in this movie and he's a single dad and
- 7:06Speaker 2: his daughter gets her period. So he goes to like
- 7:09Speaker 2: a chemist and he's looking at them and they have
- 7:12Speaker 2: these wild names, and then the love interest shows up
- 7:16Speaker 2: and helps him out, and he's got this extra large
- 7:18Speaker 2: and he's like, oh, I didn't know there was si.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I remember the scene now, so I'm thinking like, oh,
- 7:22Speaker 2: neither did I fucking weird. We live in different worlds.
- 7:26Speaker 2: We fully do another thing.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I don't want to call out and like I'm talking
- 7:31Speaker 1: about guys and differences between guys and girls.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I don't want to call it my girlfriend.
- 7:34Speaker 1: But this morning, so I find, at least from my relationship,
- 7:40Speaker 1: my girlfriend overthinks more than I do. I think I
- 7:42Speaker 1: don't have enough power to overthink.
- 7:43Speaker 2: So that's just about it. I don't think you've the brain.
- 7:47Speaker 2: I literally don't. It doesn't shit into my REGI run
- 7:50Speaker 2: for my money. Oh yeah, she falls asleep quick though.
- 7:55Speaker 2: She's not like you.
- 7:56Speaker 1: But so I think this morning I asked her if
- 8:00Speaker 1: she was okay, because I was like, I don't know.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I sent something with a little off and I was like,
- 8:04Speaker 1: I'll just ask her, and so she.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Said yeah, and I was like can. She goes, oh,
- 8:07Speaker 2: I just feel like you're.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I'm like, she said, I feel like I'm annoying you
- 8:10Speaker 1: today and I was like, oh no, I don't worry
- 8:13Speaker 1: about that today.
- 8:13Speaker 2: It's ten o'clock. Yeah, yeah, yeah, this morning, maybe I
- 8:16Speaker 2: was giving off vibes.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Yeah, so she feels like She was like, I feel
- 8:19Speaker 1: like I'm annoying you today and I was like, no, no,
- 8:21Speaker 1: don't be silly. And then I said to her, she goes, oh, yeah,
- 8:26Speaker 1: I don't know. I just feel like I was like, okay,
- 8:27Speaker 1: think about this, because then she said, I don't want
- 8:29Speaker 1: you to get sick of me, or she's like, I'm
- 8:30Speaker 1: really sicking me. I don't know, and so then I said,
- 8:33Speaker 1: we think about this, like would I would you ever
- 8:35Speaker 1: get sick of me? And she's like no, and I
- 8:38Speaker 1: was like, so why would. I? Like I love you
- 8:40Speaker 1: as much as you love me, So whenever you think
- 8:43Speaker 1: that I'm getting sick of you, just think like, oh wait,
- 8:45Speaker 1: but am I getting sick of Jake?
- 8:46Speaker 2: You brought logic into that. I had to bring logic
- 8:49Speaker 2: into the equation to settle it down. She wasn't worked
- 8:51Speaker 2: up or anything. She was fine, but I was like,
- 8:53Speaker 2: it's like, please, don't stress, don't stress. But I think
- 8:56Speaker 2: that yeah, girls definitely over. I feel like we're living
- 8:59Speaker 2: on this. I feel like guys waking up in the morning,
- 9:01Speaker 2: especially me, and I think you have it too when
- 9:03Speaker 2: we used to live together, like we'll come across as
- 9:06Speaker 2: like angry or frustrated or she took it as off her. Yeah,
- 9:10Speaker 2: but we're just like mute and just like this is
- 9:13Speaker 2: like the morning. I don't really leant to talk anything,
- 9:15Speaker 2: but I don't have any feelings towards it. I'm just
- 9:16Speaker 2: waking up. Yeah, I feel like, Yeah, it's like my
- 9:20Speaker 2: body wakes up and starts doing stuff before. Yeah, other
- 9:23Speaker 2: things start to get like there's no emotion in it.
- 9:25Speaker 2: But we might have come across as like I'm angry
- 9:26Speaker 2: already or like pissed. Yeah, like I feel like that's
- 9:29Speaker 2: a dou's thing. No, definitely, it just takes us like
- 9:31Speaker 2: a couple of hours to wake up sometimes, but sometimes
- 9:33Speaker 2: we work up and we're fine.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I go into that never changes, Yeah, no, not at all.
- 9:36Speaker 1: And also, what's with how long have we existed knowing
- 9:40Speaker 1: how different we are as genders and we haven't worked
- 9:43Speaker 1: it out? Is that not something that like that's really
- 9:46Speaker 1: only just crossing my mind. I'm thinking about it now,
- 9:48Speaker 1: like how have we not worked it out?
- 9:50Speaker 2: Well, it's because we haven't been trying to work out
- 9:53Speaker 2: equality the whole time? True, Yeah, when men have been
- 9:57Speaker 2: like you know, been like fucking what's it called, uh, misogynistic? Yeah,
- 10:02Speaker 2: misogynistic this whole time up until I mean, it's still
- 10:05Speaker 2: a pretty misogynistic world. I trying to get there, so
- 10:07Speaker 2: that's probably why is getting better. But up until, like
- 10:09Speaker 2: I've maybe the eighties is when it's a shift. Actually
- 10:12Speaker 2: don't know when the shift too. I don't know. I
- 10:14Speaker 2: feel like it maybe started shifting in twenty twenty. Yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 2: that might have been too early fucking now. But you
- 10:20Speaker 2: know who does have good special awareness? Who our baddies,
- 10:24Speaker 2: our bad Yeah? Thanks, thanks everyone for tuning in. You
- 10:29Speaker 2: Know What to Do. There's more episodes on Patreon for
- 10:32Speaker 2: five dollars a month. It's cheap as chips.
- 10:34Speaker 1: You Know What to Do an ex episode every week
- 10:36Speaker 1: and there's an extra episode.
- 10:38Speaker 2: There's more content, vlogs, dilemmas, episodes. We're stunning a community
- 10:41Speaker 2: over there. So I actually recently got first time, first
- 10:45Speaker 2: person to ever call in on a Patreon episode coming
- 10:47Speaker 2: out this Thursday. That was actually juicy episode and it's
- 10:50Speaker 2: off the Patreon trailer episode we did that was her
- 10:53Speaker 2: Oh shit, So if you listened to oh we accidentally
- 10:56Speaker 2: tea that up, that's sick. Okay, So a thirty two
- 10:59Speaker 2: year yeah and a twenty one year old got together.
- 11:02Speaker 2: We find out what happened after yeah, shit, it's good.
- 11:04Speaker 2: It's good, it's good. But otherwise when jump into it,
- 11:07Speaker 2: let's do it. Okay.
- 11:15Speaker 1: So while I was away, best got me a present,
- 11:17Speaker 1: and it's like, I don't know if I've probably shown you.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I've got a real Stanley cut, like the Stanley brand.
- 11:21Speaker 2: That must be nice. Yeah, yeah, I say, no leakage, mae,
- 11:27Speaker 2: no leakage. It's a little heavier, drinks cold for longer.
- 11:31Speaker 2: I gotta say, money well spent. But we were in
- 11:34Speaker 2: the car actually coming here, and.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I was because the straw comes out and you can
- 11:41Speaker 1: like flip the top and make it so you can
- 11:43Speaker 1: drink out of it, like just sip it like out
- 11:45Speaker 1: of a straw like a mug. So I was like, oh,
- 11:46Speaker 1: so you can have hot drinks out of it, and
- 11:48Speaker 1: she was like yeah. And I was like, I mean
- 11:50Speaker 1: it's not you can't have hot drinks out of the
- 11:52Speaker 1: other ones that don't do that. But I was like,
- 11:54Speaker 1: it should be illegal to drink a hot drink out of.
- 11:57Speaker 2: A straw out of a straw, yeah yeah, And so
- 12:00Speaker 2: then I started talking about it and I was like, ship,
- 12:04Speaker 2: what else feels illegal? So then I was like, fucking,
- 12:07Speaker 2: let's start writing some of these down and so yeah,
- 12:09Speaker 2: like things that feel illegal but aren't. And is drinking
- 12:13Speaker 2: a hot drink out of a straw? I don't even
- 12:16Speaker 2: do that as a kid, No, I think thinking about
- 12:18Speaker 2: it's crazy. You always sip like a hot coffee out
- 12:22Speaker 2: of the cup of the little sippy hole but true,
- 12:25Speaker 2: yeah mug, Yeah, you never have it out of a
- 12:27Speaker 2: sick Yeah, and you never drink I feel like you
- 12:30Speaker 2: never drink a hot drink out of like a bottleneck,
- 12:33Speaker 2: not even have a glass yeah, oh yeah, yeah, drinking
- 12:36Speaker 2: out of a glass if it has a handle, maybe, yeah,
- 12:37Speaker 2: but you can't drink out a normal glass. Yeah. So
- 12:41Speaker 2: things that feel illegal but aren't. Yeah, all right.
- 12:43Speaker 1: I'll go complaining to a boomer about the cost of
- 12:47Speaker 1: living and not being able to buy a.
- 12:48Speaker 3: House, because the first thing they're gonna say is you
- 12:54Speaker 3: don't know hard work, but it comes up to your
- 12:56Speaker 3: door and fucking knocks it down. Have you been seeing
- 12:59Speaker 3: those things on TikTok and it's like they interview like
- 13:01Speaker 3: what's the best piece of advice you have to buy
- 13:03Speaker 3: a house and then like start saving man, and like
- 13:05Speaker 3: how much did you have to buy your first house?
- 13:07Speaker 3: And it was like cost me one hundred and fifty
- 13:08Speaker 3: thousand dollars. I saved twenty grand.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I was making fifty grand a yearah, one hundred and
- 13:14Speaker 2: fifty grand, so it was only three times your salary. Yeah, yeah,
- 13:16Speaker 2: it makes sense. Yeah, it makes fucking sense. I'll spend
- 13:19Speaker 2: a million dollars on some bang average house in the
- 13:23Speaker 2: most average suburb. It's fucking ridiculous. Oh yeah, that's relatable.
- 13:27Speaker 1: That is Oh okay, things that feel illegal, but aren't
- 13:32Speaker 1: putting a recyclable object in the rubbish.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, oh yeah that's good man, that's good little
- 13:37Speaker 2: tip too. You feel guilty, yeah you do. But sometimes
- 13:41Speaker 2: are you ever walking and you have an empty bottle
- 13:44Speaker 2: and you're like, I need to get rid of this bottle.
- 13:47Speaker 2: The only thing is the rubbish pan. You gotta do it. Yeah.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Even guilty at home too, though, Like sometimes some I
- 13:55Speaker 2: won't watch something completely and I'm like, oh, that's putting
- 13:57Speaker 2: in the red bin. Oh and then you were taught
- 14:00Speaker 2: you how to recycle. I didn't even know you had
- 14:02Speaker 2: to wash the yogan out of a fucking plastic yoga
- 14:04Speaker 2: container to recycle it. Yeah, like, what do you think
- 14:06Speaker 2: having to do it? I reckon so many people don't
- 14:08Speaker 2: know that. Yeah right, I honestly think so many people
- 14:11Speaker 2: don't know that. Ah, things that feel illegal but aren't
- 14:16Speaker 2: putting anything in someone else's been, especially your dog's poop.
- 14:21Speaker 2: When you go for a walk, feeling you're like checking
- 14:24Speaker 2: shoulder to shoulder and you're just like, nay, I'm good,
- 14:26Speaker 2: I'm good, walk you actually do? I feel like I
- 14:28Speaker 2: used to check, like if it was like is the
- 14:30Speaker 2: bin still coming? Like the bin man's still got to come,
- 14:32Speaker 2: so he his rubbish, we get cleared. I'm not like killing
- 14:34Speaker 2: up he's been with my rubbish.
- 14:35Speaker 1: And then you know it's funny is whenever I get
- 14:37Speaker 1: if the bin's been like taken, the rubbish being got
- 14:40Speaker 1: taken by the truck, and I I sometimes will open
- 14:44Speaker 1: the bin just to make sure because it's sometimes not
- 14:47Speaker 1: always full. So the bin's closed and it's been taken.
- 14:49Speaker 1: But then someone's put dogs in there, and I'm like, oh, that.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Fuck mad, And I'm like if I caught them, I
- 14:55Speaker 2: caught them doing that any sort of rubbish. After you
- 14:58Speaker 2: check it to see if it's been if the rubb
- 15:00Speaker 2: you're like, oh, who did this? This is my bin?
- 15:02Speaker 2: How could they? But then if I have a bin.
- 15:05Speaker 2: If my bin's too full, I'll literally go find a
- 15:07Speaker 2: bin and just put my full bag of rubbish and
- 15:09Speaker 2: someone else spend like to get picked up tomorrow. Yeah,
- 15:11Speaker 2: it doesn't even matter. Things that feel illegal but aren't
- 15:16Speaker 2: doing anything when a police officer is around. Oh yeah,
- 15:19Speaker 2: I'm always my thing is at cool when you're driving. Yeah,
- 15:22Speaker 2: I feel like I look more suspect when the police
- 15:25Speaker 2: officers around then when I when then one isn't around
- 15:27Speaker 2: thee The best feeling is have you ever been on
- 15:29Speaker 2: your phone while driving and then simulation driving? Yeah, playing
- 15:37Speaker 2: video games, video games, and then you put your phone
- 15:40Speaker 2: down and then a police officer drives bas Yes, Yeah,
- 15:43Speaker 2: you're like, yes, sometimes that's what I believe in. God,
- 15:46Speaker 2: I'm like I got away with that one touch what
- 15:50Speaker 2: I don't want to. I've got a good system. I've
- 15:52Speaker 2: got a good system gone at the moment. Things that
- 15:55Speaker 2: feel illegal but aren't taking a photo when a random
- 15:59Speaker 2: is in the background, it's so weird. Well, we vlog
- 16:03Speaker 2: and it's just like you, like you sort of get this.
- 16:05Speaker 2: We have good space awareness and were like, there's people
- 16:08Speaker 2: we will wait. I didn't the other day when we
- 16:10Speaker 2: were when we were at golf mid golf. I was
- 16:12Speaker 2: standing on someone's whole filming you and Cassie was like,
- 16:16Speaker 2: Jake moved and I was like, oh, I'm so sorry
- 16:17Speaker 2: because they didn't say anything that does feel legal. And
- 16:22Speaker 2: one day you're going to get it, like a Karen
- 16:23Speaker 2: is going to be like I don't want to be
- 16:24Speaker 2: in your photo. You like taking a photo of you? True.
- 16:27Speaker 1: You always see those videos on TikTok of yeah, like
- 16:30Speaker 1: a Karen coming up and being like I'm not in
- 16:32Speaker 1: that video, am I?
- 16:33Speaker 2: And a person's like no, and they're like delete it,
- 16:35Speaker 2: delete it now, blah blah, deleted.
- 16:37Speaker 1: And have you seen Dave Portno, he does the pizza
- 16:41Speaker 1: tasting yea he I've seen videos of him getting in
- 16:44Speaker 1: like yelling.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Fights of pizza. It's crazy. And then he goes you
- 16:51Speaker 2: know what zero and then that business will literally go
- 16:54Speaker 2: out of business because of David. I feel like the
- 16:57Speaker 2: good thing about Australia is were so lax and relaxed
- 16:59Speaker 2: that majority of the time no one's going to care.
- 17:02Speaker 2: But a point America, especially New York, they're like more
- 17:09Speaker 2: entitled a little bit. I feel like it must be.
- 17:11Speaker 2: I wonder what it is Likelia's relaxed.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Canada was like, Canada's like Australia, They're pretty I would say.
- 17:18Speaker 1: One thing I noticed is we went to a grocery shop.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I was with my mum, and the lady serving us
- 17:25Speaker 1: at the counter got a phone call and she said,
- 17:27Speaker 1: I'm so sorry I have to take this, and my
- 17:29Speaker 1: mom didn't reply, and in my head I was like,
- 17:32Speaker 1: just tell her it's okay.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Yeah she said, she was like, I'm so sorry I
- 17:34Speaker 2: had to take this.
- 17:34Speaker 1: And then she she hung up and she went on
- 17:37Speaker 1: to be like I'm like, I'm not even kidding.
- 17:38Speaker 2: She was like, I'm so so sorry.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Like just there was a guy he's waiting for a
- 17:40Speaker 1: curbs I pick up and I had to steer him
- 17:42Speaker 1: in the right direction and my mom.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Still didn't reply, and I was like, this is so awkward.
- 17:47Speaker 2: This poor girl's like apologize. She feels so bad. And
- 17:50Speaker 2: then we got out there and I was like, Mum,
- 17:51Speaker 2: you could have at least said it's okay. And she
- 17:53Speaker 2: was like what And I was like, what do you mean?
- 17:54Speaker 2: You were fucking so rudeous. Then she's just like give
- 17:57Speaker 2: me in my fucking smood. Next man, no special were
- 18:00Speaker 2: Maybe that's what it is. You didn't even realize you
- 18:03Speaker 2: should be serving me. I'm the one in front of
- 18:04Speaker 2: you right now. Literally, where are they okay? Things that
- 18:09Speaker 2: feel I legal?
- 18:09Speaker 1: But aren't leaving clothes in a change room at the shops?
- 18:14Speaker 2: What do you mean? I mean? Or when you like
- 18:16Speaker 2: a General pants try prevans on you like, I don't
- 18:19Speaker 2: like these? Leave me the chain that's my I don't
- 18:21Speaker 2: feel I feel fine that wrote this down. I mean,
- 18:25Speaker 2: I'll say it, but I don't give a fine. Isn't
- 18:28Speaker 2: that where you meant to leave it? Because I'm like
- 18:29Speaker 2: wrinkled them.
- 18:29Speaker 1: And ship That's what I thought, Like I worked at
- 18:31Speaker 1: a at a retail store and I never cared when
- 18:34Speaker 1: someone did it.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I'd thought like I tried it on and
- 18:36Speaker 2: then like I've fucked up. I don't know how to
- 18:38Speaker 2: hang up pants, especially that's it's like a system unknown
- 18:41Speaker 2: to me folding anything properly.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Yeah, like packing my bag to go to Canada. I
- 18:46Speaker 1: was trying to think of waste of like how do
- 18:47Speaker 1: I fold this button up shirt that I'm going to
- 18:49Speaker 1: wear on my brother's graduation without fucking it up?
- 18:52Speaker 2: Without needing to iron it? When you applied, you used
- 18:55Speaker 2: to work at General pants. Then Universal Universal at the
- 18:58Speaker 2: job interview, did they have like heaps of clothes and
- 19:01Speaker 2: you had like a folding test? No? Really, no, no
- 19:04Speaker 2: what they do so they go into a blind thinking
- 19:06Speaker 2: you know how to fold? They do. I had to
- 19:09Speaker 2: be tought out of I remember being torn out of
- 19:11Speaker 2: fold not for gold.
- 19:12Speaker 1: But I remember going to the Universal. It's a group interview.
- 19:16Speaker 2: I remember going and I hate that it was gives
- 19:21Speaker 2: me dude, it was the biggest egg and I think
- 19:26Speaker 2: I must have went in there and I was like,
- 19:27Speaker 2: I'm just gonna fucking not care what anyone thinks. And
- 19:29Speaker 2: then I mean I got it.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Yeah, all right this one. I actually things that feel
- 19:33Speaker 1: I llegal, but aren't. Deciding you don't want something in
- 19:36Speaker 1: the grocery store and just leaving it in a random spot.
- 19:39Speaker 2: That does feel illegal. That is so, especially when it's
- 19:41Speaker 2: a cold item. That's so you don't do it. I
- 19:46Speaker 2: gotta go. But I see them, that's I've seen cold.
- 19:48Speaker 2: I've seen like a pack of frozen chips in like
- 19:50Speaker 2: the snack Alan. I'm like, who did this? This is
- 19:52Speaker 2: that's going away? They may all give them to you
- 19:54Speaker 2: for free now. And I know what I always do
- 19:57Speaker 2: when I'm with someone in the store.
- 19:58Speaker 1: It's quite often Beth, obviously, and it never fails to
- 20:00Speaker 1: get a little chuckle. Is when you go somewhere and
- 20:04Speaker 1: you're in like maybe a healthy part and you see
- 20:06Speaker 1: someone's put a bag of lollies for a protein by,
- 20:09Speaker 1: like someone made a choice here.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Always gets a lot, always gets a lot. I sometimes
- 20:14Speaker 2: feel so guilty that, like, if I see the product
- 20:16Speaker 2: after I've already put it in my basket, I can't
- 20:18Speaker 2: be bothered to go back. I'll just get both. Yeah, true,
- 20:21Speaker 2: it's like eat it. Yeah, yeah, he'll get eating a bally.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Oh that's all mine. I had one that I wanted
- 20:27Speaker 2: to go off it. I think tops all of yours. Really,
- 20:30Speaker 2: this is the most feels like the most illegal thing
- 20:33Speaker 2: in the world, but isn't okay. So I was at
- 20:35Speaker 2: the gym the other day and you know, me like
- 20:37Speaker 2: to keep hydrate at the gym, So mid gym workout,
- 20:41Speaker 2: I like to take a go take a piss, and
- 20:43Speaker 2: in the piss is a sauna. Normally someone in there.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Don't think anything of it, right, go in there and
- 20:48Speaker 2: I just see a glimpse of this guy sitting in
- 20:50Speaker 2: the sauna, fully clothed shoes, socks, pants, T shirt, and
- 20:57Speaker 2: I walked down. I was like, that is so fucking
- 21:01Speaker 2: should put a sign on their Yeah, and I was like,
- 21:03Speaker 2: what the hell did you get a photo? Obviously not
- 21:07Speaker 2: that ruined my workout, I was thinking to myself. I
- 21:10Speaker 2: just walked out literally still thought Jake came up with
- 21:13Speaker 2: this idea, but I full had this one. I was like,
- 21:14Speaker 2: that's so illegal. Put a sign on here. I would
- 21:19Speaker 2: have ruled my workout. And I also wouldn't have select that.
- 21:22Speaker 2: I was like, what and you know what? It was?
- 21:24Speaker 2: A boomer? Was it? Yeah? It was clothes. I was like,
- 21:28Speaker 2: maybe the first time he's in a sauna, but surely
- 21:32Speaker 2: you know, like you start sweating and like your shoes
- 21:34Speaker 2: were just going to be dripping. Oh that's that's I
- 21:38Speaker 2: can't imagine anything more uncomfortable. I get uncomfortable in a
- 21:40Speaker 2: sauna wearing just bodies or just undies. Yeah, it's wild.
- 21:47Speaker 2: That's another thing that boomers do. Saunas didn't exist obviously,
- 21:54Speaker 2: Sorry guys boomers. Bro I mean my grandparents and boomers,
- 21:57Speaker 2: but boom, what do Z? Where Z where? Like?
- 22:02Speaker 1: I've got a hope Joanna's gen z. She's like as
- 22:05Speaker 1: early gen Z as you can get. And then my
- 22:07Speaker 1: younger brother, he's he's fourteen, he's about as I think
- 22:10Speaker 1: he's about a late gens are.
- 22:11Speaker 2: They're still z yeah, and they with us were doomed,
- 22:14Speaker 2: were doomed.
- 22:16Speaker 1: And then but the one after that, I have a
- 22:19Speaker 1: feeling it's called like Jen alpha.
- 22:21Speaker 2: That's just beta if you like Jen a point two,
- 22:24Speaker 2: let's just call it nothing like Okay, there's boomers. And
- 22:29Speaker 2: then gen X went, then millennial, then gen Z. Like what,
- 22:35Speaker 2: I'm confused, where's the theme going? I don't understand now
- 22:38Speaker 2: alpha and Jen alpha alpha beta, bet you it's beta.
- 22:42Speaker 2: I'm not even he probably is wild fucking ridiculous.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Okay, I'm gonna switch this up. I'm gonna go like
- 22:55Speaker 1: left turn from the theme of the current episode. And
- 22:59Speaker 1: the other day, so I wanted to bring this up.
- 23:01Speaker 1: So the other day I was drive, I was in
- 23:03Speaker 1: the cold Beth and I randomly I don't know why,
- 23:08Speaker 1: I don't. I can't even believe. I asked her. I
- 23:10Speaker 1: was like, I just said to her. I was like,
- 23:12Speaker 1: do I ever seem sad to you? And she was like, oh,
- 23:16Speaker 1: what do you mean? I was like, do I ever
- 23:17Speaker 1: just seem sad and she said no, not really, And
- 23:21Speaker 1: then I said, oh, because I feel like I don't
- 23:24Speaker 1: really get sad like I do. And her and and
- 23:29Speaker 1: she's she said a situation. She was like situation And
- 23:33Speaker 1: she's like, were you sad then? And I was like
- 23:34Speaker 1: it was obviously a sad situation. I was like, oh,
- 23:36Speaker 1: yeah I was then, and she was like, yeah, what
- 23:38Speaker 1: makes sense, Like people just react differently to certain things.
- 23:42Speaker 1: And so then I think the other day, you know,
- 23:46Speaker 1: champagne problem, you and I were just like talking about
- 23:48Speaker 1: stuff with the potty blah blah blah, and we like
- 23:51Speaker 1: kind of stressed ourselves out a bit. And I kind
- 23:54Speaker 1: of feel like because Beth was saying, like, some people
- 23:57Speaker 1: get anxious and.
- 23:58Speaker 2: They cry and they get sad. That's how they deal
- 24:00Speaker 2: with it.
- 24:00Speaker 1: And she's like, when you get anxious, you turn to like, ah, oh,
- 24:05Speaker 1: let's fix it, because I sti't sick of feeling anxious.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Logic yeah, And I was, yeah, that's fair enough. Like
- 24:10Speaker 1: she goes like, you get frustrated. She said she noticed
- 24:12Speaker 1: it when I'm anxious, I get frustrated or nervous or
- 24:14Speaker 1: something like that. So I was thinking, I honestly think
- 24:17Speaker 1: I would.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Really I wish I could just cry. Oh okay, you
- 24:21Speaker 2: know what I mean. I understand that I wish I
- 24:23Speaker 2: could just get I don't want to.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I'm not trying to be mean to anyone, no girls
- 24:27Speaker 1: or emotional people or anything like that. And I'm not
- 24:29Speaker 1: trying to say I don't get sad. But sometimes I
- 24:32Speaker 1: wish when I'm feeling a little worked up, I could
- 24:36Speaker 1: just walk away cry and then kind of come back
- 24:40Speaker 1: because from the there is times where it's where I've
- 24:42Speaker 1: had times where I am so waked up that I
- 24:44Speaker 1: cry and it.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Helps so I can't but I physically say, you don't
- 24:49Speaker 2: like your body's coving mechanism and being sad. No, I
- 24:51Speaker 2: feel like I'm not a fan of the how I
- 24:53Speaker 2: cope to being anxious and how I cope to being Yeah,
- 24:55Speaker 2: Like that's a very male thing. I also don't know
- 24:59Speaker 2: if you most of the time cry and then you
- 25:02Speaker 2: immediately feel better after. Yeah, But for some reason, to me,
- 25:04Speaker 2: it's like a quick like you feel kind of relieved
- 25:07Speaker 2: for a second. Well, it's being in touch with your emotions.
- 25:09Speaker 2: And I feel like I don't let emotions out because
- 25:12Speaker 2: my girlfriend, she's very in touch of emotions and little things,
- 25:15Speaker 2: not little. I don't want to say little or not
- 25:16Speaker 2: make them seem like they're not important to her. But
- 25:18Speaker 2: some children cry out of like if her friend does
- 25:20Speaker 2: something to her.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Well, things that are little to you and I yes,
- 25:24Speaker 1: are a thing that would make her cry, same as
- 25:26Speaker 1: like my sister or same as my girlfriend. Like things
- 25:29Speaker 1: that are little to you and I we think, oh
- 25:31Speaker 1: that wouldn't like why are you yes?
- 25:34Speaker 2: And at works I could, Yeah, you know, I am
- 25:36Speaker 2: pious because I'm like, it's quite beautiful how in touch
- 25:39Speaker 2: she is with her emotions and how like she can
- 25:42Speaker 2: articulate what's going on in her body and it makes
- 25:44Speaker 2: her feel this way. She cries and she's like, oh
- 25:46Speaker 2: really that made me really sad. She cries, and we're
- 25:48Speaker 2: going to say when we say, oh that made me
- 25:49Speaker 2: really sad, were like frustrated or I don't even know
- 25:52Speaker 2: how to deal with it. I feel like I feel
- 25:53Speaker 2: like something's wrong with me.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Yeah, Like when I left Canada, I was giving my
- 25:56Speaker 1: mam a hug and she started crying and I was like, oh,
- 26:00Speaker 1: I kind of I could cry now because like her
- 26:02Speaker 1: crying seeming like I don't even want her to cry.
- 26:05Speaker 2: How do you get in touch with emotions? Is it? Dude?
- 26:07Speaker 2: I don't like, why are girls better at it? Like
- 26:09Speaker 2: is it a biological thing? Or is it just like
- 26:11Speaker 2: the massive be hormones? But is it? Or is it
- 26:14Speaker 2: because we're brought up in They're brought up in the
- 26:16Speaker 2: environment where their parents say, or their mum especially says
- 26:19Speaker 2: it's okay to let it out and cry, whereas like
- 26:21Speaker 2: when we cry, we always like just like, come on,
- 26:24Speaker 2: you don't need to cry. Come on, this wasn't that bad.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I know what you mean, Like societal norms
- 26:29Speaker 1: from being when we were brought up would definitely I
- 26:32Speaker 1: guess steer you in the direction we end up in
- 26:34Speaker 1: because I guess because it's every guy's pretty much the
- 26:36Speaker 1: same as us some guys.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think we're a bit better than majority
- 26:40Speaker 2: of males as well, Like we're able to articulate how
- 26:42Speaker 2: we feel. At least a lot of men can't even
- 26:44Speaker 2: tell you that they're sad.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I think, like, you're right, I think we are better
- 26:49Speaker 1: than some, but I still struggle to articulate how I feel,
- 26:52Speaker 1: mainly because I feel like sometimes if I'm feeling like
- 26:56Speaker 1: big emotions, sadness, frustration, blah, blah blah. The thing that
- 27:00Speaker 1: I'm thinking in my head that I want to say
- 27:03Speaker 1: is not the right thing to say because I'm not
- 27:05Speaker 1: thinking straight.
- 27:06Speaker 2: So I feel like I'm not thinking straight when I'm
- 27:08Speaker 2: sad or anxious or something like that. So if someone
- 27:10Speaker 2: asks me what's wrong and someone is annoying me, I
- 27:14Speaker 2: don't want to be like, oh, you're annoying me, because
- 27:16Speaker 2: what if they actually aren't and I'm just not thinking straight. Well,
- 27:19Speaker 2: I have to tell you. That's one thing that's kind
- 27:20Speaker 2: of works for me, and I think it works for
- 27:22Speaker 2: a lot of people is when you articulate with your
- 27:24Speaker 2: mouth when you're in like these states of frustration or sad.
- 27:28Speaker 2: It's really hard to get out what you're thinking. Yeah,
- 27:30Speaker 2: and because emotion takes over and you say something you
- 27:32Speaker 2: don't really mean. But the easiest way to like actually
- 27:34Speaker 2: do it is write it down how you're feeling, because
- 27:38Speaker 2: once the time it takes you to write it out,
- 27:40Speaker 2: it actually gives you time to think about it, and
- 27:43Speaker 2: you don't just spit something out. Because I'm one hundred
- 27:44Speaker 2: percent guilty when I'm like sad or frustrated or angry,
- 27:46Speaker 2: I'll say something not in the way my brain was
- 27:49Speaker 2: thinking it, and I kind of sometimes I can't even
- 27:51Speaker 2: put the words how my brain's thinking things. My brain's
- 27:53Speaker 2: thinking so quickly and my word can't my mouth can't
- 27:55Speaker 2: keep up. So if I write it down and think
- 27:57Speaker 2: about it, it's like so much better.
- 27:59Speaker 1: I definitely I find I need to try that because
- 28:01Speaker 1: I find in the past, having like a little love
- 28:03Speaker 1: tip with a girlfriend or something like that, I get.
- 28:08Speaker 1: I try really with Beth. I've been really trying to.
- 28:11Speaker 1: I don't use the words you like, well you did this,
- 28:14Speaker 1: blah blah blah, and but I do find that I
- 28:16Speaker 1: bite my tongue a lot because in the past, when
- 28:19Speaker 1: I have like big emotions, I'll say something and it's
- 28:23Speaker 1: not what I meant, but now I've said it, so
- 28:25Speaker 1: it seems like I meant that, and so then I'm
- 28:27Speaker 1: kind of like, fuck, where do I go from here?
- 28:29Speaker 1: And now I have to apologize because I did say
- 28:30Speaker 1: something really mean, but I really didn't mean it, and
- 28:32Speaker 1: I can't just be like, oh, well, I can tell
- 28:33Speaker 1: her I didn't mean that. It came out wrong, but
- 28:35Speaker 1: fuck I said it like fucking weird.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Oh it's it's wild trying to figure out I don't
- 28:40Speaker 2: know why your body doesn't process things, and then when
- 28:43Speaker 2: it does, you just spit some a mount and hurts
- 28:45Speaker 2: the other person.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Yeah, my mom, so my stepdad, he's sixty two, he's
- 28:51Speaker 1: a bit of an old fellow. And then my mom's dad,
- 28:54Speaker 1: he's his eighties. But she was saying that they are
- 28:59Speaker 1: emotional now, so maybe and she thinks it might have
- 29:02Speaker 1: come with age, because obviously they have like probably fuck
- 29:05Speaker 1: all testosterone now. So I was wondering if if guys
- 29:09Speaker 1: just have to wait for age, because I think guys
- 29:11Speaker 1: produce estrogen obviously, but not much, but then we kind
- 29:15Speaker 1: of lose a lot of testosterone, but maybe keep the.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Estrogen or something.
- 29:19Speaker 1: So that could be something to do with like being
- 29:20Speaker 1: in touch with emotions and shit.
- 29:22Speaker 2: A testosterone takes over a little bit. I haven't noticed
- 29:24Speaker 2: my dad here, like my biological data. He's fifty some.
- 29:27Speaker 2: I can't say I've seen him emotional at all. Though
- 29:29Speaker 2: later there probably actually is theory behind that, because my
- 29:34Speaker 2: dad has cancer and he had to do chemotherapy and
- 29:37Speaker 2: it sucks all you up, your testosterone and everything like that. Yeah,
- 29:40Speaker 2: and although it's a very traumatic time and you could
- 29:43Speaker 2: understand if he was crying, I think he's also been
- 29:44Speaker 2: a lot more emotional. Does he just because of what's
- 29:48Speaker 2: going on? Obviously, but I think just he's not got
- 29:50Speaker 2: his mailing self in his back pocket like he usually would. Yeah,
- 29:54Speaker 2: well he probably Maybe it's hard to say because what's
- 29:58Speaker 2: going on is so traumatic, but it's also like I
- 30:00Speaker 2: can see a slight demeanor change in him that he's
- 30:02Speaker 2: more in touch with his emotions because I think it
- 30:04Speaker 2: Tesla Shone's been stripped away from him a little bit probably, man, Yeah,
- 30:09Speaker 2: is he more heartfelt? Yeah? I think so. You can
- 30:12Speaker 2: see you can see he's like things like are a
- 30:13Speaker 2: little bit more meaningful to him. Yeah, Like she's just
- 30:16Speaker 2: like he takes his time a little bit more, like
- 30:19Speaker 2: like try to appreciate little things a little bit more.
- 30:21Speaker 2: How is he? Oh he's good. Now he's in remission. Yeah,
- 30:24Speaker 2: so like he's on the way up and like that.
- 30:26Speaker 2: But it's I don't know, cancer's cancer. It always eventually
- 30:28Speaker 2: comes back. Cancers fucked.
- 30:30Speaker 1: I mean everyone probably has it in their body and
- 30:31Speaker 1: just like it doesn't come out. Eh yeah yeah luckily
- 30:34Speaker 1: unluckily Sorry for your dad just did.
- 30:38Speaker 2: But yeah, that was Yeah, I think that's relatable, especially
- 30:41Speaker 2: for I wish it's a male listeners. I made that
- 30:43Speaker 2: video the other day yesterday about it.
- 30:46Speaker 1: But oh yeah, I want to say something about that,
- 30:47Speaker 1: so to interrupt you. But even that, like I feel
- 30:51Speaker 1: like I kind of wish I could cry from happiness
- 30:52Speaker 1: for that, you know what I mean?
- 30:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but I can't. I watched it and I showed
- 30:55Speaker 2: Beth and I was like, this is so nice. So
- 30:57Speaker 2: this is awesome, and she's like, oh, that's so she
- 30:59Speaker 2: would she watched it and she was like she's like,
- 31:01Speaker 2: that's actually my favorite one and I was like, yeah,
- 31:03Speaker 2: it's good. And then but all I can say is
- 31:05Speaker 2: like appreciate it, like I love it too, and it
- 31:08Speaker 2: is that I love you, Yeah I did, But like
- 31:11Speaker 2: and like, I think even that's a step in the
- 31:12Speaker 2: right direction, being able to say it, but I think
- 31:16Speaker 2: it's I don't know, being able to get emotional about it.
- 31:18Speaker 2: I feel like I really context I gave. I made
- 31:19Speaker 2: a video for Jake and I two years journey was
- 31:22Speaker 2: just came up about. But you know, I wouldn't be
- 31:24Speaker 2: able to say any of those things or not like
- 31:26Speaker 2: to the extent that I did if I was facing nah,
- 31:29Speaker 2: like right now, if I could say that and articulated
- 31:31Speaker 2: the way I did because I had time to sit down,
- 31:33Speaker 2: I type that out and then I said it. But also,
- 31:35Speaker 2: you wouldn't even let's say you wanted to say that
- 31:37Speaker 2: to me, you wouldn't. And I'm not saying that you're
- 31:40Speaker 2: not a heartfelt because of it, but I'm like, I
- 31:42Speaker 2: know I wouldn't do it, Like neither one of us
- 31:45Speaker 2: would ever write something like that like that down and
- 31:47Speaker 2: then just come read it to our face. Like for
- 31:50Speaker 2: some reason.
- 31:51Speaker 1: To me, it's just it means just as much for
- 31:53Speaker 1: you to post it then it would for you to
- 31:56Speaker 1: come say to my face. If you said to my face,
- 31:58Speaker 1: I'd be like I probably struggled or like hold straight face. Well,
- 32:02Speaker 1: the good thing about this, this potty in a way,
- 32:05Speaker 1: has made me think about thoughts and ideas and emotions
- 32:10Speaker 1: in a whole different way because you have to write
- 32:12Speaker 1: it down. I never did that prior to the podcast,
- 32:14Speaker 1: and it's like sort of become a healthy little outlet
- 32:17Speaker 1: and giving me a voice beyond words, I guess, no,
- 32:20Speaker 1: a voice be on my own voice in words.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Yeah that makes sense. Yeah, which is funny. I think
- 32:25Speaker 2: that's a useful tip, especially for men. But yeah, and
- 32:28Speaker 2: like I was saying, I wish that off that video
- 32:30Speaker 2: though a lot of We've got a few comments saying
- 32:34Speaker 2: like I've got a girl, A lot of girls were
- 32:35Speaker 2: going through tough times with boys in their life, and
- 32:36Speaker 2: you may me realize that there's nice guys out there
- 32:38Speaker 2: who can talk about their feelings and stuff like that.
- 32:40Speaker 2: But I also wish like there was more men in
- 32:43Speaker 2: the here who knew it was normal for us to
- 32:45Speaker 2: have these thoughts. The thing about us is we're in
- 32:48Speaker 2: a healthy relationship where if you come if you come
- 32:51Speaker 2: to me and say like you don't know how to
- 32:53Speaker 2: cry and feel sad, like I'm here to like be like,
- 32:55Speaker 2: oh yeah, how do we get through this? I'm supportive
- 32:58Speaker 2: in a way, like we talk about it normal. There's
- 33:00Speaker 2: a lot of friend male friend groups, Like some guys
- 33:03Speaker 2: wouldn't thinking that there'll be a nightmare to goes to
- 33:05Speaker 2: some of their friends.
- 33:06Speaker 1: But like they wouldn't even think to bring it up. Yeah,
- 33:08Speaker 1: we have friends that I would never bring anything up them.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah exactly, And it's just like being
- 33:13Speaker 2: in that supported network. So I was like, I was
- 33:14Speaker 2: just like I was thinking back an, I did wish
- 33:16Speaker 2: a few more guys like we should think of a
- 33:18Speaker 2: way to target the male audience a little bit more,
- 33:20Speaker 2: because I think it would be beneficial for them to
- 33:22Speaker 2: know that it's okay to be sad and talk about
- 33:24Speaker 2: your feelings and like even you then you wouldn't have
- 33:26Speaker 2: known where that conversation was going. You would just like
- 33:28Speaker 2: to say that, Yeah, I just wanted to bring up
- 33:30Speaker 2: I was like you just wish I could cry? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 33:31Speaker 2: yeah exactly, but also wanted to know, like we're in
- 33:34Speaker 2: a very weird stage with the potty because we wanted
- 33:37Speaker 2: to be a very good listen And you probably notice
- 33:39Speaker 2: the thirty minute shift and it's sort of like, do
- 33:41Speaker 2: you like the more talkative based like this where we
- 33:44Speaker 2: don't really know where we're going on a little bit
- 33:45Speaker 2: of a tangent left right left right, who knows where
- 33:47Speaker 2: we're going to turn? Or do you like the more structured,
- 33:50Speaker 2: like you know what you're going to get, like send
- 33:52Speaker 2: us a message. We really we like doing what we
- 33:54Speaker 2: want to podcasts with the people. Yeah, yeah exactly, so
- 33:58Speaker 2: to enjoy it. This one was a bit more conversations
- 34:00Speaker 2: and we like doing but yeah, definitely, I mean, I
- 34:02Speaker 2: guess the beauty of two episodes is one can be
- 34:05Speaker 2: it can be one, one can be the other. Yeah,
- 34:06Speaker 2: exactly tell you what if you like the other, go
- 34:09Speaker 2: on Patreon, well this one you man, if you like
- 34:12Speaker 2: this one, Patreon's like, this one's there and Jack's there,
- 34:17Speaker 2: Uncle Jack. Yeah, who was on camera for the first
- 34:19Speaker 2: time that see if he looks all right, I want
- 34:29Speaker 2: to go first. Then you do your best one, Jake, Okay,
- 34:31Speaker 2: what are you doing? Guess where If you fake cry,
- 34:34Speaker 2: I'm not gonna do it. That's the opposite of what
- 34:37Speaker 2: I was going. Okay, okay, you gotta give it that
- 34:45Speaker 2: thing I forgot the Thanks everybody for tuning in once again.
- 34:51Speaker 2: We love you all, love you, bye bye.
