Jeffery Peters Shootout in Glendale | Mesa News
A 59-year-old man, Jeffery Peters, died in a two-hour gunfight with Glendale police after allegedly entering his daughter’s home despite an order of protection. Armed and wearing body armor, Peters opened fire on officers, vehicles, and a drone as SWAT teams breached the house using a tactic called “shrinking.” One officer was injured; authorities are still determining whether Peters died from gunfire or suicide.
