- 0:03access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And in this episode of The
- 0:44Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a hypnosis session.
- 0:48Created. For a client that had a
- 0:51particular habit or tendency that was a drain on their time,
- 0:59on their money, but also on their motivation, and I'm not
- 1:04going to specify exactly what it.
- 1:06Is because I. Think this hypnosis session will
- 1:09be more useful if you look at it from the frame that many things
- 1:16that. People do.
- 1:18Have a short term gain, but they have an opportunity cost or they
- 1:24carry some risk. So I'll throw in some examples.
- 1:27So if someone gambles for example, they are allocating
- 1:31that money and occasionally they win and that gives them a big
- 1:34dopamine here and it gives them a sense of euphoria or elation.
- 1:41But the money and the time being allocated to the gambling can't
- 1:45also be allocated to something else.
- 1:48So it has that element and the. Risk, of course.
- 1:50Which is what gambling is all about, is that they can be a
- 1:53loss. Doesn't have to be gambling.
- 1:55It could be recreational drugs generally having a short term
- 2:00emotional payoff. Otherwise why would you take
- 2:02them? But costs time and money and so
- 2:06many people can relate to having a big hangover and it kind of
- 2:10writes off the next day. So again, it has that element.
- 2:15Or it could be other risky behavior by drink driving or
- 2:21unprotected sex. There's certain things that
- 2:25carry an element of risk. So you're going to hear two key
- 2:28things in this session. An idea that there is an
- 2:32opportunity cost that if they had in and if they utilize that
- 2:37same time energy, emotion and motivation into something else
- 2:45it would give them more. Of the life.
- 2:47That they want. But there's also two, I think,
- 2:50quite emotive metaphors. 1 is the metaphor of Russian
- 2:54roulette, this idea that most of the time nothing bad happens,
- 2:58but only something bad has to happen once for it to be
- 3:01devastating. And the second is this idea of a
- 3:04hook on the bait that if. You were a.
- 3:06Fish most of the Wrigley, you know, kind of worms or kind of
- 3:11creatures in there that's. Food is just.
- 3:14Food. But every now and then it isn't.
- 3:16It's a trap and it could lead to your demise.
- 3:19And that, I think, is an apartment metaphor.
- 3:23If. There is some form of recurring
- 3:27habit or behavior that you have that is either draining your
- 3:32time, energy, and emotion or carries some form of risk.
- 3:38And I'm about 6 years without drinking alcohol, approaching 6
- 3:441/2 and and that's one of the evaluations I made.
- 3:48That actually. When you drink alcohol to
- 3:52excess, normally the worst thing that happens is you wake up with
- 3:55a hangover the next day. Maybe you said or did something
- 3:58embarrassing, but that's it. But actually it.
- 4:02Could lead to the possibility of something.
- 4:05Irretrieval. Irretrievably bad.
- 4:08Happening that could shift the perspective.
- 4:11Of your life. And when you give it that
- 4:13connotation that you're kind of playing this game of Russian
- 4:17roulette, it becomes easier to make a change.
- 4:20So if you can resonate with any of those kind of things that
- 4:23I've been talking about, you might get some value from this
- 4:25session. Please be.
- 4:27Aware that it. Was.
- 4:27Created for. A very specific client with very
- 4:30specific tendencies that might not be yours.
- 4:36And therefore look at it in a broad term of is there something
- 4:40you want to change because it's taking more than it's giving?
- 4:43And if that's the case, you'll benefit from that.
- 4:45But if you do like the idea of a bespoke session with me to focus
- 4:49on your habit or compulsion or addiction or whatever it might
- 4:54be, click the link in the show notes and schedule that free
- 4:57consultation call on Zoom. For now, though, find a quiet,
- 5:01comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
- 5:04Relax and enjoy the session. The.
- 7:13Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in a
- 7:26slow, long, relaxing breath, and as you exhale, feel a wonderful
- 7:35sense of release and letting go. As you start to feel that with
- 7:48each and every breath you're becoming deeper and deeper,
- 7:56relaxed. That's it.
- 8:10The more you relax, the deeper you breathe, and the deeper you
- 8:14breathe, the more you relax. I want you to think of a place,
- 8:30perhaps in nature, where you felt calm, centred and connected
- 8:43and just allow your imagination to take you to that place now.
- 9:06And maybe there is something about that place, the
- 9:14temperature, the environment, the scenery, that really helps
- 9:20you to feel away from everyday life.
- 9:44And just imagine there is a comfortable chair in that place,
- 9:50such a comfortable chair. And imagine lying on that chair
- 9:53may be a reclining chair that enables you to be in that place
- 10:00in nature, feeling ever increasingly relaxed.
- 10:19Just allow your arms and legs to feel heavier and heavier.
- 10:25And as you listen to my voice, imagine a wave of relaxation
- 10:29flowing down from the top of your head, rippling down all the
- 10:34way down into your jaw, neck, shoulders.
- 10:39Feel your arms feeling limp and loose like a puppet with no
- 10:44strings, all the way down to your fingertips.
- 10:50As you breathe in, just imagine your lungs, heart, stomach and
- 10:55gut all relaxing at the same time.
- 11:00Feel that wave of relaxation going into your legs, as your
- 11:05legs, like your arms, feel limp, loose and heavy, enabling you to
- 11:12feel deeper and deeper, relaxed, rippling down to the very tips
- 11:20of your toes. And as you imagine peacefully
- 11:25relaxing there in nature. I'd like you to imagine your
- 11:30life as a book. Each day is a page, each phase
- 11:42of your life, like a chapter. Just imagine in this book,
- 11:48you're writing a story of empowerment, confidence and
- 11:52purpose. And maybe there is a theme, a
- 12:00trend, a pattern. In this book so far, some of the
- 12:10storylines seem to repeat. The people are different, the
- 12:16environment different, and I want you to get a sense that all
- 12:20it takes is one significant shift and the rest of the book
- 12:27changes. That Every choice you make seems
- 12:35to influence the next few pages, that every action becomes part
- 12:42of the journey towards a life you truly desire.
- 12:52Too many people settle. Too many people will settle for
- 12:57a relationship, a career, a friendship below what they truly
- 13:07desire and accept poor quality substitutes not because they
- 13:17want them, but just because they'll do.
- 13:26I want you to think of your time being worth a particular figure.
- 13:36Maybe it's what you earn in an hour.
- 13:38Maybe it's double that, but have a sense that your time is
- 13:44valuable. And one point in the future,
- 13:51when you're 80 or 90 or 100 years old, you would spend
- 13:57thousands to live just one day that you have right now.
- 14:06So as you accept the idea that your time is valuable, imagine
- 14:11looking at a clock. Every second, every minute has a
- 14:17value, and the true value of that time is not the money it
- 14:27represents, but the opportunity cost of what you could get to do
- 14:34with the same time and the same money.
- 14:41I want you to get a sense then, if you were on a game show and
- 14:46you won $1,000,000, would you spend a year doing things that
- 15:02felt like substitutions, settling?
- 15:10Would you actively do the things you really want to do?
- 15:18So start thinking about your ideal life now, your potential,
- 15:25your dreams, friendships, relationships, and the
- 15:29experiences that truly enrich your life.
- 15:37And I want you to think about two particular things that
- 15:41you've been doing that perhaps are these substitutes
- 15:51predictable, gratifying, but not really fulfilling.
- 16:02I want you to get a sense that your subconscious knows the
- 16:04truth because anything that you do that aligns with your ideal
- 16:10life gives you a wonderful feeling of satisfaction and
- 16:14fulfillment as soon as you've done it.
- 16:18But if it leads to a feeling of emptiness, regret or
- 16:24frustration, your subconscious is telling you this is not the
- 16:31choice for you. I want you to think if you were
- 16:44to zoom out, look at last year as reconnaissance and this year
- 16:51to try something different, what new things would you like to try
- 16:57with that same time, that same money, not perfection, just a
- 17:08year with more positive choices. Seeing your confidence grow,
- 17:14seeing you become the kind of person who attracts the kind of
- 17:17people you want to be with. And maybe that version of you
- 17:23has growing confidence and self esteem, always increasing as you
- 17:31focus on yourself, improving, growing and becoming the very
- 17:36best version of you. But let's imagine that's just
- 17:44one pathway. And a different pathway is to
- 17:47make this year similar to previous years.
- 17:53Time being spent on something that fundamentally takes and
- 17:57never gives, or spending money on something that takes away the
- 18:05opportunities to do other things.
- 18:14I want you to picture a revolver with six chambers and just a
- 18:19single bullet. I want you to imagine spinning
- 18:25the chamber and you don't know where the chamber has ended.
- 18:31Where the bullet is a part of, you can imagine doing something
- 18:41that carries a risk. A risk of exploitation,
- 18:47manipulation, perhaps even the risk of some form of incurable
- 18:54disease is like playing a game of Russian roulette.
- 19:03Most of the time you'll be absolutely fine, but you only
- 19:12have to lose the game once and everything changes permanently.
- 19:24Or maybe imagine yourself as a fish in a lake seeing an
- 19:28appetizing worm. 99 times out of 100 it's just a worm in the
- 19:37lake. But what if that one time it
- 19:41isn't? There is a hook in the bait and
- 19:47when you take the bait everything changes and can never
- 19:52return to how it was. I want you to feel empowered to
- 20:01feel that the best way of avoiding.
- 20:07Losing that game of Russian roulette is to never play
- 20:12Russian roulette. The best way to never get hooked
- 20:19onto the bait is by choosing a different thing to eat, the kind
- 20:28of thing where there's never a hook inside.
- 20:32If you're unconscious understands how these metaphors
- 20:35might apply to your life, let me know by nodding your head.
- 20:46So let's shift back to the positive.
- 20:50You now perceive these habits for what they are, distractions
- 20:55that no longer serve you or risks simply not worth taking.
- 21:02Instead, you are drawn to the incredible potential of your
- 21:08life. You see yourself spending your
- 21:12time wisely, engaging in activities that bring joy and
- 21:17fulfilment. What if your money is invested
- 21:23in experiences and opportunities that align with your goals and
- 21:27values, Where each choice makes for a more interesting,
- 21:34fascinating and enjoyable life, but also contributes to a more
- 21:40confident version of you? But if you were to take that
- 21:46same time and money, that same energy and motivation, and
- 21:51deploy it to create real connections, real experiences,
- 21:59travel, new hobbies, new social circles, stepping into new
- 22:08environments to bring a sense of excitement, a future where
- 22:15you're building relationships based on trust, mutual respect
- 22:19and genuine attraction, you are replacing attraction for
- 22:25transactions. And in doing so, your life gets
- 22:28better with each new experience you grow.
- 22:35And with each positive choice, you feel more empowered, more
- 22:39confident, and more aligned with the life you deserve.
- 23:00Take a moment to feel the strength of this new belief
- 23:03system taking root and imagine from this moment on, every time
- 23:10you consider old habits, your subconscious will remind you
- 23:17it's not worth your time. It's not worth the risk.
- 23:24And instead steer you towards investing in yourself and your
- 23:29future, where each hour deployed in that new way is an
- 23:35opportunity to grow, connect and thrive.
- 23:38I want you to imagine what if this next year was a very
- 23:51different chapter in the book of your life.
- 23:56You can take risks, risky risks or risks that could increase the
- 24:02wonderful possibility of incredible experiences.
- 24:09Feel that you are unlocking the desire and motivation to try
- 24:15something different, to meet the underlying need but in new and
- 24:21wonderful ways, but also to not be harsh on yourself.
- 24:30A blip does not make a trend, particularly if that blip
- 24:35enables you to learn something invaluable that changes the
- 24:39future. You are the author of your life
- 24:46and this next chapter could be the best chapter ever.
- 24:56So feel like you're returning from that chair in that place in
- 25:02nature back to the present. Take a deep breath in through
- 25:04your nose and out through your nose.
- 25:10Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 25:12Connect fully into the here and now as very soon I count from
- 25:171:00 to 10:00 to awaken you and you will awaken feeling like it
- 25:23is the end of 1 chapter in the beginning of something new and
- 25:27you are unlocking a ferocious desire to become the kind of
- 25:33person you want to be that will attract the person you want to
- 25:39be with starting to count. 123 Waking up 456 more alert 7-8.
- 25:48Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910 Wide awake,
- 25:53Wide awake. Wide awake.
