- 0:00That's lose their star player, they lose their star closer.
- 0:04That's are in a bad spot right now.
- 0:11I've never seen a Ranger team quick before the Olympics.
- 0:14We're going to be looking at Aaron Judge and saying that he
- 0:17can't win the big game, Michael Jordan said.
- 0:19I played 82 games. You don't see the fun doing
- 0:22that, but Jack Hughes did after getting his teeth knocked down
- 0:25to play every single shift he got back in the game.
- 0:30I'm going to fight him off. I said the Nation how me
- 0:34couldn't hold me back. They're going to RIP it off,
- 0:39take it back. This kid go to black festive
- 0:42fence and I took it. To myself at night.
- 0:45Because I can't hold it back and forth through my mind behind the
- 0:58scene. Hello, you're listening to the
- 1:31New York sports loudmouth. Welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 1:36You know who we are. I'm wearing my New York Yankee
- 1:40jersey tonight. My FIFA26 memorabilia hats could

- 1:49My name is Errol Marx. They call me the Mouth My Co
- 1:52host X New York Jet first round draft pick Mr. Quinton Couples.
- 1:58Yes, Sir, distinguished gentleman from Keston, North

- 2:48we're going to go right into inside baseball.
- 2:50Now let's go deep, deep inside what I am excited.
- 2:55This is inside baseball. Blow my back out.
- 3:01All right, let's get into inside baseball.
- 3:05Errol, you've been clamoring for this.
- 3:09It feels like about 18 months. Let's get it, baby, let's get
- 3:13it. Well, maybe he didn't want it to
- 3:15happen the way it did. Jason Dominguez got carted off
- 3:18today, making a great play in the outfield, but smashed into
- 3:23the wall. He sprained his AC joint.
- 3:26That's probably about a month. So he was up because Stanton's
- 3:29on the IL. So now there's at bats for
- 3:33Spencer Jones. So Spencer Jones is being called
- 3:36up. He's going to make his debut.
- 3:38He's technically the Yankees #6 prospect according to the
- 3:43advanced metric, whatever prospect stuff, but his numbers
- 3:47this year? 258 batting average, 366 on base
- 3:51and a 592 slugging with 11 homers and then AAA leading 41
- 3:58RBIs through 33 games. Ladies and gentlemen, you're
- 4:04going to get a chance to see the future of the New York Yankees.
- 4:07I don't care what he's hitting. In AAA, when Aaron Judge was
- 4:11being called up, he was hitting 261.
- 4:14This guy can hit home runs. He can hit RB.
- 4:16Is this guy is a power hitter, left-handed power hitter in
- 4:20Yankee Stadium, 5 tool player, can defend multiple positions.
- 4:24This guy deserves an opportunity to be called up and now you're
- 4:27going to get a chance to see him.
- 4:28We've seen players get called up and not achieve.
- 4:31This guy is going to achieve everything that I've said he's
- 4:33going to achieve. Jason Dominguez.
- 4:35I feel bad that he went down, but this is a new age baby, the
- 4:39Spencer Jones train, and he's going to run right into the fans
- 4:44and you're going to fall in love with him.
- 4:45I love him. I I've told you about him and
- 4:48you're going to see why he's so special.
- 4:50Yep, the raw power has always been there.
- 4:52A lot of our baseball guests between ex players and even Jake
- 4:55Savicki who I don't know a few months ago was mentioning that
- 4:57his raw power is already going to be there to be able to
- 4:58transition into the Major League quickly.
- 5:00Now will this whole complete game do it right away?
- 5:02We'll see. Obviously he's going to get a
- 5:04chance in the outfield to start maybe that he moves around with
- 5:06first as well with Bellinger and a lot of those guys and Ben
- 5:09Rice. And you're going to see the reps
- 5:11that are going to come on multiple positions I think to
- 5:13get him acclimated to everything right now.
- 5:15But I think they're all hitting is there.
- 5:16We'll see with the the on base percentage.
- 5:18I think that's the biggest key because I don't think the
- 5:20batting average will come right away for him.
- 5:21But if you can get on base, that's what Judge did early in
- 5:23his career. He got on base, walked a lot and
- 5:25that's why he should have won MVP and obviously won Rookie of
- 5:27the year by a landslide. I'm not saying he's going to hit
- 5:29fifty home runs. I think if he gets called up and
- 5:33he gets a chance and the Yankees give him a chance, he's going to
- 5:36be one of those power hitters you're going to love to watch
- 5:40and you're going to follow because he's fun and he's
- 5:42exciting. He can steal bases too, man.
- 5:44He could steal a lot of bases. He could be a 30 base stealer.
- 5:47He can hit thirty home runs and he's 6 foot seven.
- 5:50I mean, the guy's a giant and he's got tremendous power.
- 5:52It's fit for Yankee Stadium. His left-handed power is fit
- 5:56there at the Bronx. I'm telling you guys, I remember
- 5:58I said this. I've not been wrong about this
- 6:00guy and I'm telling you, don't care what he's doing a AAA.
- 6:03You can look at what what Aaron Judge was doing a AAA when he
- 6:06got called up. Oh, he strikes out a lot.
- 6:08That's that's that. He's going to figure it out,
- 6:10guys, I'm telling you, and he's going to do it in the majors.
- 6:13I love him. And even if he even if he does
- 6:15strike out a lot, you saw that with still with Judge.
- 6:17If Judge Judge got on base though, like he was still
- 6:20walking a lot. If the batting average came
- 6:21later on. I think his second season was
- 6:23more of the breakout with that. But I think you look at even
- 6:26some of the other big prospects that have happened.
- 6:27Ellie De La Cruz had a lot of strikeouts when he came up.
- 6:29Even Acuna had a lot of strikeouts when he came up and
- 6:31he was a high end prospect. So I'm not saying he's going to
- 6:34be that good right away, Spencer Jones, but he's got the raw
- 6:36power to do that. As long as he gets on base and
- 6:37walks a lot I think he'll be fine.
- 6:39You know, like a lot of people look at how many points above
- 6:43your batting average you're on base percentages to determine
- 6:47how good of an eye you have and how important of a player.
- 6:50Because if you're not getting on base, I mean, it's the old
- 6:51moneyball argument, Doesn't matter if you get a walk or a
- 6:54hit, it matters. You get on base.
- 6:55Spencer Jones is on base is over 100 points higher than his
- 6:59batting average, which tells you he's an elite Walker as well as
- 7:04an elite power hitter. That's exactly what you want,
- 7:07Errol. I mean, this is the cleanup
- 7:09hitter the Yankees have needed for a long, long time.
- 7:12Everybody's going to love him. Everybody's going to love him.
- 7:14I'm telling. You think about what you now can
- 7:16do. Your lineup gets extended an
- 7:19extra bat. You now can go righty lefty,
- 7:21righty lefty all the way down the lineup.
- 7:24It's really, really impressive. It also opens up if he does
- 7:28succeed and now you have a month of him playing well, you don't
- 7:31bring Dominguez back. He now becomes a trade ship for
- 7:35real and they're going to try to see what else they need.
- 7:37And, and Errol, where, where else would they spend money if
- 7:42they could move Dominguez? Because I know there's a spot
- 7:44that you might want them to upgrade at.
- 7:47That might be there long term, might not be there long term.
- 7:50Well, there's there's a couple of spots.
- 7:52I mean, third base is definitely needed.
- 7:54The I, I, the Yankees haven't out of the top third baseman
- 7:57really since Alex Rodriguez with the raw power.
- 8:01That's the position I'm looking for at first base.
- 8:04A lot of people think that they can move Spencer Jones to first
- 8:06base in the future or Aaron Judge to the future.
- 8:09They don't really need to go. And they have Rice, who it looks
- 8:11like he's going to be the future 1st baseman for a while over
- 8:14there. He's solidified.
- 8:15Danny playing backup catcher for the Yankees.
- 8:18I think you go third base, there's a couple of guys
- 8:21shortstop. They have a guy that's kind of
- 8:23Lombard is going to come up very soon.
- 8:24He's going to be the shortstop. They're going to move Volpe to
- 8:27second base. They have to solidify those
- 8:30positions. It's the third base position.
- 8:32And I'm not saying what's his name again, Man, man, man.
- 8:36Yes, I, I, I don't know if he's going to be the future there,
- 8:40but the Yankees have him for at least another year.
- 8:42They could bring in another power hitter or they could trade
- 8:44him involved with Dominguez and maybe another pitcher, maybe
- 8:48somebody else. I don't know.
- 8:50There's there. They got a ton of pitches.
- 8:52Bullpen, I think you maybe you look at.
- 8:54We'll see down the road though. They they got a ton of pitchers.
- 8:56I was going to say, like, I think it's too early to tell
- 8:58like what they're going. To need the way Will Warren is
- 9:00pitching right now, I wouldn't trade him.
- 9:03But if you want a star third baseman, you want a young guy,
- 9:07you trade Will Will Warren and you add Jason Dominguez, you can
- 9:12get yourself a stud at third base for the future and have
- 9:16control of him for a very long time.
- 9:18If the Yankees want to do that, they can do that.
- 9:20But because they're loaded, they have pitching.
- 9:22I mean, Rodriguez, Elmer Rodriguez, they have so much
- 9:25pitching right now. The Yankees have never been in
- 9:27this position in a very long time.
- 9:29This is great to watch. What the Yankees are.
- 9:31Schlittler is like, you could argue he's the best pitcher in
- 9:33baseball right now. You know, Errol, I didn't think
- 9:36you were going to go there. I, I thought you were going to
- 9:38go to one of your least favorite Yankees, Mr. Jazz.
- 9:41Chisholm, who wants to be paid like he's a superstar this
- 9:45offseason and is not going to be paid like a superstar.
- 9:48And if you think about it, him and Dominguez together in a deal
- 9:53would get you a lot. And I, I'm very curious what
- 9:57they could get in a package that big, especially if they think
- 10:01Lombard or Volpe can go over the short.
- 10:03If that's the case, they got Volpe sitting there in AAA, they
- 10:06can move him right to second base right now.
- 10:09They could, they could do that right now.
- 10:10They don't have to wait on that. Well, they were saying that they
- 10:12were saying that Lombard might be ready by the end of the year.
- 10:15So they're saying that it could be as as good.
- 10:17He's already in AAA. He started the season in AA.
- 10:21He dominated AA. Now he's in AAA.
- 10:23So it all it takes is a little bit of the scouts to say this
- 10:27kids ready. He's got power, he can get on
- 10:29base, he can walk and he's he's an absolute stud as a defensive
- 10:33player and the Yankees are going to call him up.
- 10:35Volpe will be up very, very soon, ladies and gentlemen, and
- 10:38you can best believe the Yankees aren't going to keep him in AAA
- 10:41much longer. All right, let's move on to the
- 10:43other team in New York, and that would be the Mets.
- 10:46Oh, Errol, did you catch any of this game before the show
- 10:49started? Because what a disaster.
- 10:51All right, it's 22. It gets late.
- 10:54Light hitting Jake McCarthy up with the bases loaded and
- 10:57perhaps future Hall of Famer Craig Kimbrel on the mound.
- 11:01He hasn't been good for a number of years and he serves up a
- 11:04Grand Slam. And the Mets go from having a
- 11:07sweep in Colorado and feeling good about themselves to blowing
- 11:11a very, very winnable game and only taking two out of three
- 11:15again. And I guess they've they what,
- 11:16split both of those series with the Rockies down the middle?
- 11:19Not necessarily great. All right, so for all the Met
- 11:24fans that were excited about almost sweeping Colorado,
- 11:27they're one of the worst teams in the National League.
- 11:28As a matter of fact, the Mets are probably the worst team
- 11:32right now in the National League.
- 11:33And the second worst team in the National League is the Colorado
- 11:36Rockies. So you want to break about that?
- 11:40You're out there and, and, and excited about that.
- 11:42Good for you. The fact here is the New York
- 11:45Mets have been a debacle. They're trying to figure out
- 11:48ways to win games and and win series.
- 11:51And they did win this series. Congratulations to them.
- 11:53But they need to figure out what this team's identity is.
- 11:57I, I don't know what it is. I, I watch Soto and he's a
- 12:01special player. We all know what he is as a
- 12:03Yankee fan. We got a chance to see him a
- 12:05year. He went to the World Series,
- 12:06great. He decided to go there and he, I
- 12:08remember what Juan Soto said when he was at that press
- 12:11conference. I went to the better New York
- 12:13team. Did he not say that?
- 12:15And Aaron Judge came out and said, hold on one second.
- 12:18I I disagree with him. And Juan can think whatever he
- 12:22wants to think, we'll do it. We'll we'll figure that out on
- 12:24the field. Well, we've already figured it
- 12:26out. The Yankees are the better team,
- 12:28they're the better organization and Aaron Judge is the better
- 12:31player. So why are you going to come out
- 12:32and say those things and not have your team playing at a high
- 12:36level 2 you're one of the leaders of the team.
- 12:38You got Lindor, you wanted to go and play with Lindor.
- 12:41Now you guys can't get along. So what's going on in that
- 12:44locker room? What, where's the leadership
- 12:45there that goes from the higher ups?
- 12:48You had Pete Alonso there, you have Jeff McNeil and you had
- 12:53Brandon Nimmo, 3 leaders. And you know why you didn't want
- 12:57them there anymore? Because Lynn Dorr and his wife
- 13:01was working for the mayor of New York.
- 13:04And they, they're conservative and you're liberal.
- 13:07And it it, it didn't work out that you couldn't get along in a
- 13:10locker room. Pathetic, Pathetic.
- 13:12That shows you leadership. How many conservative liberals
- 13:14aren't there out there in the world?
- 13:16Don't talk about politics. That's what everybody says.
- 13:19But hey, what you do and how you react to things only get you
- 13:23into trouble. And that's what's going on with
- 13:24the Mets. There's just more trouble going
- 13:26on that nobody knows. Yeah, that's always been a
- 13:29problem with the team culture. It hasn't changed with the
- 13:32ownership. Unfortunately the Mets find just
- 13:34creative ways to be more annoying than they should be
- 13:37with the way they operate, and they should brought it up like
- 13:39they're resorting now to have to do crazy.
- 13:41Kimbrell hasn't been good in like 6 years to try to resurrect
- 13:44this bullpen that's been just. Bad.
- 13:46Why are we getting into why does anybody care about what you are
- 13:49as a liberal, conservative or Republican?
- 13:52Why is that going on in the locker room?
- 13:54Because you got guys leadership over there that don't know how
- 13:57to control their mouths. Nobody had to know what your
- 14:00wife was doing. Nobody had to know what you were
- 14:02doing behind closed doors. Rooting or voting for this it,
- 14:06it created problems in that locker room.
- 14:08Pete Alonzo should still be there.
- 14:10Brandon Nimmo should still be there.
- 14:12I don't know about Jeff McNeil because he sucked, but those two
- 14:15guys should be there. But because of this crap, this
- 14:19organization went with Jorge Polanco, Beau Bichette, who
- 14:24doesn't even know what his position is, and Simeons who's
- 14:28an old man walking. Congratulations to the New York
- 14:31Mets and David Sterns. What a debacle.
- 14:34They're trying to patch together a bunch of flashy names and it
- 14:37just didn't work for a formula that is ideal.
- 14:40And when five of your guys that are you brought in or not
- 14:43hitting addition to Lindor and Soto having structures where
- 14:45they were hurt this year, it really creates a bad formula and
- 14:48it creates a culture that is not going to bode well for a lot of
- 14:51these younger players. And we talked about it on
- 14:52Monday. Mauricio is already hurt now, so
- 14:54he's not even get his reps Brett Beatty's been up and down
- 14:57throughout this year. And I think a lot of those
- 14:59younger players have just lost confidence in this lineup on a
- 15:02team that should not be. This is bad on offense.
- 15:06They they should have been a top five offense on paper and
- 15:08they're not. And the fact that they could
- 15:10barely beat the Rockies in these sentences too.
- 15:12They're one of the, as Jeff would say, poverty franchises in
- 15:15baseball, probably along with the White Sox and the Angels.
- 15:18And you can't even beat them except two out of.
- 15:19Three, I want to answer this too for all the Met fans, it said.
- 15:22Oh, Pete. Pete Alonzo's bat speed has
- 15:25slowed down 5 spots. Well, by the way, he was hitting
- 15:28170 about two weeks ago. Now he's up to 25.
- 15:32He's got seven home runs, 20 RBIs and 31 hits.
- 15:35You know what that smells? That smells about 35 home runs
- 15:39this year. There's a lot of baseball left
- 15:41and 100 RBIs. So Mets fans keep crying, keep
- 15:45saying that Pete Alonso's washed up and realize that you effed
- 15:48up. You effed up.
- 15:50That's it. It's kind of embarrassing.
- 15:52Errol, you just had a a core that was good and all you had to
- 15:57do is kind of fix like how the locker room was being run.
- 16:00If that's the coach, they should have changed the coach.
- 16:03They shouldn't have changed all the players.
- 16:06They could have changed the locker room culture in different
- 16:09ways. But they gave they got rid of
- 16:11Nimmo Nimmo's hidden 300 in Texas.
- 16:15He's had a little bit of a hamstring thing, but he's he
- 16:17hasn't. Hit 41 hits, four home runs and
- 16:1912 RBIs. He's a lead off hitter for them.
- 16:21Imagine they had him hitting in front of Juan Soto.
- 16:24He'd be leading the league in runs because Juan Soto's one of
- 16:27the best players in the league. They just have no one that's at
- 16:29the table. To the point, Errol, they led
- 16:31off Juan Soto today. They let him off because they
- 16:35got no one for him to drive in. Nobody.
- 16:39It's embarrassing. It is.
- 16:41David, let's move on to the rest of the league.
- 16:44There was a wild thing that happened with the Tigers.
- 16:47First off, you mentioned it in the what's that smell on Monday?
- 16:51School Bulls down for a few months and his elbow cleaned
- 16:54out. Obviously a horrendous loss
- 16:56back-to-back Cy Young winner and that means he's not going to win
- 16:59a third time in a row. Their big acquisition was
- 17:02Franber Valdez who it was with Houston LED all of Major League
- 17:08Baseball and wins since he came up in 2020 as a full time
- 17:12starter from 2020 to 2025. Well he had one of the epic
- 17:17meltdowns and it got suspended by the league for five games.
- 17:20So he gave up a career high. Ten runs, 7 earned.
- 17:24Gave up back-to-back homers to the Red Sox, Wilson Contreras
- 17:28and William Abreu to start the 4th inning and then the next
- 17:31pitch right into Trevor Stories back and obviously a bench is
- 17:36cleared. No punches were thrown.
- 17:38A Tigers manager, AJ Hinch, who we all know where he where the
- 17:43scandals he's been involved in with the buzzers and knocking on
- 17:46the trash cans. Also received a one game
- 17:49suspension for Valdez. Action as his manager.
- 17:52Valdez Obviously, the five games for a pitcher, that means you've
- 17:55missed one start if you're a starting pitcher.
- 17:57Pathetic. It's it's, it was six games
- 18:00reduced to five. Because again, it's, it's
- 18:02nonsense. It's just, you know, how it
- 18:04works with the league. He denied intent that everyone
- 18:07knows that it was intentional. Eric Hosmer, who we had on the
- 18:10show about a year ago, he's, he had some video evidence that
- 18:14showed that Valdez knew that they were kind of tipping his
- 18:19pitches and Story was a little bit behind some of it.
- 18:22So there may have been something there.
- 18:24But Valdez suspended the Tigers, now without their two starters,
- 18:28for the next week. And then obviously they're ace
- 18:31for a very long time. It's getting late early in
- 18:34Detroit. Here's the facts, guys.
- 18:36If Trevor Bauer did it, he'd be thrown out of the league.
- 18:39If Trevor Bauer threw at somebody and he did this and had
- 18:42a meltdown, he's out of the league.
- 18:43Look what the look what baseball did.
- 18:45Look what? Look what the Cleveland
- 18:47Guardians did to him. He threw the ball over, over the
- 18:50the back, the outfield wall and in two days he was traded to
- 18:54Cincinnati. But this guy throws it and
- 18:56almost kills Trevor Story and and oh, he just gets suspended
- 19:00for one game. That's it.
- 19:02It's over. Oh, he's got to calm down.
- 19:04He's got to figure things out. This is the problem right now.
- 19:07When you don't like somebody, they they throw him out.
- 19:10They they say they get rid of him.
- 19:11He's garbage. He's done.
- 19:13We don't want him anymore. But when somebody like Framber
- 19:15Valdez does it, oh, it's OK. You know, we're going to we're
- 19:19going to cut it down from 6 to 5 so he only misses one game.
- 19:22It's pathetic. Baseball needs to figure out how
- 19:25to control players. These guys have a bowl in their
- 19:28hands going 100 mph. It can kill somebody.
- 19:31It can kill somebody if it hits him in the head and he's it's
- 19:35OK. It's OK.
- 19:36I mean, he just hit him in the back.
- 19:38This is baseball. Yeah.
- 19:39OK. Nobody throws 100.
- 19:41How many guys throw 100 mph? In the olden days, 60s and the
- 19:4450s, they were throwing like 85 mile per hour fastballs.
- 19:47Now they're throwing a hundred, 102.
- 19:49And it's OK. I mean that that ball is like a
- 19:52bat and it's hitting you right in the face.
- 19:55We all know what happened to David Wright.
- 19:58Plenty of it and you have a case.
- 20:00Of Giancarlo Stan. Remember that?
- 20:02Oh yeah, with the Brewers, Yeah, they had to get the whole
- 20:04modified helmet just because of. That even David Wright won the
- 20:07one. The ones that created that
- 20:08modified. Yeah, Stan kinda, I think
- 20:10popularized it a little more, but but again, yeah, David
- 20:12Wright, definitely, that was a bad case of it, too.
- 20:14And yeah, this is the problem with the MLB suspensions.
- 20:16Yeah, OK, it's six games for anyone else, but it's only one
- 20:19start for a guy that's a starting pitcher that only
- 20:21pitches every four or five days, six days of an off day.
- 20:24And yeah, that basically sums up that.
- 20:27All right. Oh, cool.
- 20:27You missed one start. Yeah.
- 20:28All right, we can still replace you anyway, even with school
- 20:30ball hurt. Yeah, I guess school being hurt.
- 20:32And like we talked about earlier, Fish Joe being hurt.
- 20:34Maybe it might hurt the Tigers more than some other teams, but
- 20:37still, the precedent has to be there for not to be able to just
- 20:40defend a pitcher just because it's starting pitcher.
- 20:41Oh, you get the same amount of games what anyone else would
- 20:43have. Here's the problem, too.
- 20:44Detroit is an organization that does this year in and year out.
- 20:49This isn't the first time Detroit has done something like
- 20:52this and gotten away with it. This has been going on for a
- 20:54while. And and again, they're an
- 20:57organization that hire guys that shouldn't be rehired.
- 21:00And I like AJ Hinge, but we all know he cheated.
- 21:03He screwed the Yankees. He screwed baseball and
- 21:06everybody. By the way, Carlos Beltran, did
- 21:08he ever get a management job ever again after that?
- 21:11No, Cora did. Alex.
- 21:14Cora did. But Beltran and Cora were
- 21:16involved with that, too. Why doesn't Carlos Beltran have
- 21:20a job? Why does he have a job?
- 21:23I rest my case. I rest my case.
- 21:26Thank you. Sell that.
- 21:28Roll it off. Stick it.
- 21:29Let's move on to the next topic here, and the next topic is
- 21:35something that I wanted to bring up.
- 21:37Oh I like this. Mason Miller, closer for the
- 21:41Padres. You were mentioning guys
- 21:42throwing 100. This guy averages 101 per pitch
- 21:49on his fastball. It's number one in the league.
- 21:52He has been a level of untouchable that we have not
- 21:55seen. And I wanted to bring up the the
- 21:58relief pitch season that always stuck out to me, which was when
- 22:03Eric Gonyea won the Cy Young in 2003.
- 22:05Was on all sorts of steroids that year.
- 22:08Had 55 saves. Struck out like a an ungodly
- 22:12amount of players. It says here he had 1-2 ERA, 137
- 22:17KS and 82 innings. Well, if you think that's good,
- 22:21Mason Miller is dwarfing those numbers so far this season.
- 22:27He's increased his slider usage to about 53% of the time, which
- 22:31has made his fast while even more effective.
- 22:33Listen to this speedy The WIFF rate 55.9% wiff rate on Mason
- 22:40Miller pitches, which is by far the highest in the league.
- 22:44He is Some of his numbers are just stupid and I wanted to show
- 22:47you his advanced metrics page. I show you this sometimes as red
- 22:51is good and blue is bad. Look at how there is nothing but
- 22:56red and it says 100 next to it. That means he is the best in the
- 23:00league at expected ERA. Expected opponent.
- 23:03Batting average under 100. People are expected to bat
- 23:07against Mason Miller. He's that good.
- 23:09Fastball velocity, like I said, 101.
- 23:11Exit velocity is usually really high.
- 23:13When a guy throws hard, it's only 83.998 percentile.
- 23:18He's the number one chase guy #1 wif guy #1K guy.
- 23:22No one can hit him hard at all. 99% ground ball rate.
- 23:26He is the best pitcher by far in Major League Baseball that we've
- 23:31seen advanced statistically. And I couldn't even tell you but
- 23:36the eye test. Errol, as you know, closer for
- 23:38Team USA in the World Baseball Classic, and he's been dominant.
- 23:42I mean, I think he's going to get MVP votes.
- 23:45Gania finished sixth in the MVP this year, that year.
- 23:49I think he may even go higher and he's a real threat for the
- 23:51Cy Young. All right, He is a relief
- 23:54pitcher for all the fans out there.
- 23:56Relief pitchers come and they go.
- 23:58He is not Mariano Rivera. He's doing this really, and it's
- 24:03still early. It's an early season.
- 24:05We're what are we 40 games in? And we're we're talking about
- 24:08this here. I'm going to give you advanced
- 24:10metrics. I'm going to give you
- 24:11statistics. Cam Schlittler is five and one
- 24:14with a 1.52 ERA, 53 strikeouts and a 0.87 WIP.
- 24:20OK, this is a starting pitcher doing these numbers.
- 24:24I would look at this more than look at Mason Miller.
- 24:27And here's another thing, I, I want to give you guys something
- 24:30else that you guys don't understand.
- 24:33When you look at the league and I, I had Trevor Bauer actually
- 24:36bring up Mason Miller. He says I could be Mason Miller
- 24:38right now and I'm still not going to be able to come back
- 24:42into the major leagues because I'm being blue balled or
- 24:44whatever. Blue.
- 24:46Balled blue balled. OK.
- 24:48All right. I don't think it's blue balled
- 24:51as Manfred was a little. OK, the fact here is if I'm
- 24:57looking at this and I'm I'm I'm looking at a relief pitcher, I'm
- 24:59not putting him in the sigh younger MVP.
- 25:02He's a relief pitcher. That's great.
- 25:04His numbers are great. It's it's Ganye Mariano esque.
- 25:08Do it in the playoffs. Let's see you do it in the
- 25:10playoffs. Do it at a high level, because
- 25:13we see guys like this. We see Ganye do this in the
- 25:15regular season and we also see Kanye do it in the playoffs.
- 25:19So I don't care. You good.
- 25:22Good for him. And by the way, he was the the
- 25:24closer for Team USA. My question to you is, did Team
- 25:28USA win the World Baseball Classic?
- 25:32The answer is no. So if they trusted him so much,
- 25:36he should have came in in the 8th inning or the 7th inning and
- 25:38he should have closed him out. That's all I'm saying.
- 25:40I, I think it, I don't want to hear about these advanced
- 25:43metrics. I could care less.
- 25:44Yeah, it was questionable at the time when the Padres gave up the
- 25:47number 3 prospect at all of baseball to to Oakland at the
- 25:50time or Sacramento A's at the time to get that kind of thing.
- 25:53The Padres obviously they have always had a good system with
- 25:55the bullpen, but never to this extreme level.
- 25:58And Fish, you're right, it's definitely something we haven't
- 26:00seen in a small sample that what that much since Rivera Emmanuel
- 26:04class. I tried to do it I think in
- 26:0520/22 he had it I think up up until June, but then he had a
- 26:09couple bad months in July and then his ARA dipped under one.
- 26:12But the whiff rate is something that you brought up.
- 26:14This is something that is very prevalent, I think in a
- 26:17strikeout game now and especially with these younger
- 26:20hitters being developed that way.
- 26:22And that's something that I think that can be sustainable.
- 26:24But it also voids, like I will say voids for the home rum ball
- 26:27in the playoffs too, if he tries to be too heavy on the.
- 26:29Strike. And here's the thing.
- 26:30I'm not putting a relief pitcher anywhere close to the MVP or Cy
- 26:33Young unless there's not enough starting pitching that can
- 26:36compete with that. And I just gave you Cam
- 26:37Schlittler, who is a starting pitcher.
- 26:39In the American the AL though in the yeah, I wrestled
- 26:43international. More power in the American
- 26:46League and this guy is striking out everybody and doing it at a
- 26:50high rate and he has a WHIP under 0.87 as a starting
- 26:53pitcher. As a starting pitcher, so.
- 26:56I'm not trying to compare the two.
- 26:58I agree the. Starting pitcher.
- 26:59Is more important than a closer every single time.
- 27:02So for winning, So what? I'm just saying what I'm saying.
- 27:05Mason Miller's stuff is the best we've ever seen.
- 27:08It's one year, it's one year and it's a couple of months.
- 27:11Let's see him do it all season long and I'm not betting on
- 27:15that. I'm saying that I'm looking at
- 27:17starting pitches. There are much better starting
- 27:19pitches right now that I'm going to pick as society.
- 27:21I would take hitters right now. There should be any, no
- 27:24comparison to MVP or Cy Young to a relief pitcher unless you do
- 27:28Mariano Rivera things in the playoffs.
- 27:30I want to see him do it in. I know it's a regular season
- 27:32thing, but I want to see him do it in the playoffs.
- 27:35If I'm going to consider him a world renowned and I don't think
- 27:39he can do it. And we've seen Padre pitchers do
- 27:41it here in and here out and completely full flat on their
- 27:44face. So good for Mason Miller.
- 27:46Congratulations on a great two or three months of baseball.
- 27:49Let's see you do it in the playoffs.
- 27:51That's all I'm going to say about that.
- 27:52The analytics, the crap. I could care less.
- 27:56I could see a top five and Cy Young easy from him, just from
- 28:02the National League. So who's in the National League?
- 28:04Skeens obviously is the front runner.
- 28:06You got Yamamoto, you never know, full season with the
- 28:09Japanese pitchers there on a six day rotation over there.
- 28:13Chris Sale, not always healthy. Shohei Otani, Errol, you know
- 28:16the story with him. And then Christopher Sanchez,
- 28:18who was the runner up last year. After that, it's a bunch of
- 28:21young guys like Mizarowski and Burns and Nolan McClain that are
- 28:25the next best odds. I would put Mason Miller above
- 28:28those three guys and that would make him a top five Cy Young
- 28:32candidate. Congratulations.
- 28:33Congratulations as a closer. As a closer.
- 28:36It's an impressive feat, bro. It's impressive.
- 28:38Something to keep an eye on. That's all.
- 28:40Let's move on to the American League stinks.
- 28:44My God, does the American League stink.
- 28:47Let's take a look at the standings as of right now, and I
- 28:51add it to the screen and just let you see at the Yankees and
- 28:55the Rays are doing great. They're both over a dozen games
- 28:58over 500. But then if you look at the rest
- 29:01of it, the A's just won and put themselves one game over 500.
- 29:05The Guardians won today and they went over 500.
- 29:08But before those two games, the Rays and the Yankees were the
- 29:11only teams over 500 in the entire American League 1/4 of
- 29:16the way into the season or 38 or whatever games.
- 29:18It is unbelievable kind of sucking this.
- 29:22And if it's just you think it's they've been playing each other,
- 29:24it's balancing outlook at the run differentials over here,
- 29:27Speedy, you notice a lot of red. The Yankees very impressive.
- 29:32The Rays actually not that impressive.
- 29:33It says they're overachieving. Well, they're the Rays.
- 29:35That's what they do, but then it's a bunch of red.
- 29:38The Tigers, we just saw what happened to them.
- 29:40They're not going to be going getting better anytime soon.
- 29:43They're the only team in the Central with a positive
- 29:45differential and the Mariners with the only team over there.
- 29:49It's the entire American League is garbage this year.
- 29:52Errol garbage. All right, you're looking at
- 29:55numbers. It's still very early.
- 29:57There's a lot of baseball left and I've seen teams in the
- 29:59second-half really explode off the paper.
- 30:02I look at the American League. I still think the American
- 30:06League East is a lot better than it says right now.
- 30:09The Blue Jays are 16 and 21. I think they're much better than
- 30:11they are and I think the Orioles are better than 17 and 21.
- 30:15I think they're going to be better in the second-half.
- 30:17They've got a tremendous team. They're pitching.
- 30:19There's a lot of questions there.
- 30:21The Guardians are always a second-half team.
- 30:23I think they're going to drop out a little bit.
- 30:26I could see the Royals picking up the pace in the second-half.
- 30:29They're a lot better than they shown and the American League
- 30:33West. I think this is a very talented
- 30:36division. The fact right now the Athletics
- 30:38are leading and they're 19 and 18.
- 30:40The Mariners are much better than their record shows, The
- 30:42Rangers are much better than the record shows and the Astros are
- 30:46a lot better than the record shows.
- 30:47So relax, It is so very early. It's 162 games in a season.
- 30:54Things change quarterly. So stop.
- 30:56I, I, I fine. You want to look at numbers and
- 30:58you want to say the National League's better.
- 31:00We'll see what happens in the All Star game.
- 31:01Watch the American League wins. Who cares?
- 31:04Who cares? We'll see what they do in the
- 31:05second-half. Yeah, I I trust more in the AL
- 31:08Central teams, I think to get it going a little more than the AL
- 31:10West. I think Seattle is a good team
- 31:12that you could still trust. The Astros can hit, but they
- 31:14can't pitch. It's a very extreme year.
- 31:16For the Rangers, a lot better than.
- 31:17The Rangers. The Rangers are interesting.
- 31:18I think it's just a matter of like them getting their younger
- 31:22guys going and same thing with a lot of these teams like they
- 31:24have good veteran pieces there. It's just a matter they're
- 31:27pitching systems always been good.
- 31:29But the central you look at Fisher you're talking about with
- 31:31the Royals, they're looking good on paper right now.
- 31:33Can they get it going on offense?
- 31:34It'll be a bigger question, but they got hot a little bit
- 31:36lately. Cleveland Arrow, you've
- 31:38mentioned all the time, good second-half team that you can
- 31:40definitely see make some noise. I don't know if I trust anyone
- 31:42else in that division right now. And then in the American League,
- 31:44you got, you got to think somebody else could emerge at
- 31:46your division usually has three teams that are right on that
- 31:49cluster with the auras, get enough pitching maybe with all
- 31:51the X Mets that they brought in, definitely a possibility.
- 31:54The Red Sox, they turn it around nicely since getting rid of
- 31:56Cora, maybe they keep it up. We'll see.
- 31:58And the Blue Jays, you can't get them out as much as I like to
- 32:00think they're kind of fraudulent.
- 32:01They went to World Series. Last, and by the way, when you
- 32:03look at the National League, the Nationals are 18 and 20 Phillies
- 32:08who are expected to be a good team.
- 32:10They're 17 and 21. The Marlins is 17 and 21.
- 32:12The Mets that's supposed to make the playoffs this year, a lot of
- 32:14people thought are 14 and 23. Yes, the National League Central
- 32:19is good on paper. This isn't going to stay like
- 32:21you think. The Pirates are going to stay at
- 32:2321 and 17 without the good luck. The Cardinals?
- 32:26No way. The Cubs are a good team.
- 32:28The Brewers are better than they are.
- 32:30The Reds might. Pick up the Brewers heat up at
- 32:32June last year, remember? And, and as far as I'm concerned
- 32:34in that in the Dodgers division, the Dodgers, Padres, I think
- 32:39Padres are not as good as their record shows.
- 32:41The Rockies stink, the Giants stink.
- 32:43The Diamondbacks are a lot better than 17 and 19.
- 32:45They're not much better guys. They're really not.
- 32:49It only shows right now by the way these teams are playing
- 32:52early in the season. I'm telling you, it's going to
- 32:55change. Bet on.
- 32:58It well, here's some ways that things that won't help some of
- 33:01these changes very talked about Dominguez's injury.
- 33:04Roman Anthony Red Sox it's not going to get better for the Red
- 33:08Sox. We already talked about how it
- 33:10is. The wheels are already falling
- 33:11off Roman Anthony, it's the IL. Go round and round.
- 33:15Round not in Baston right now they're their wheels are falling
- 33:18off. They need a whole bunch of
- 33:19Duncan to get fueled up over there pass liquor.
- 33:23It's going to be tough. Tyler Glass now shocker got hurt
- 33:27warming up for the second inning lower back pain.
- 33:31We'll see what the MRI says. Forget.
- 33:33Daily lives. Glaber Torres, They haven't said
- 33:36what happened, but he's on the ill.
- 33:39Anyone. Here's the Here's the best 1,
- 33:42though. Errol, did you see Cubs pitcher
- 33:44Matthew Boyd? Yep, he gets down playing with
- 33:47his kids, tries to get up and tears his meniscus.
- 33:50He's out six weeks. Very Aaron Boone like, by the
- 33:53way, very Aaron Boone like. If you remember what happened,
- 33:56Aaron Boone, he hits that unbelievable home run that sends
- 33:59the Yankees to the World Series and then the next offseason he's
- 34:03playing basketball. He turns his knee and he misses
- 34:07the practically the season here. Here's the facts.
- 34:12Why are these teams, they letting these players do the
- 34:16things that they're doing offset?
- 34:17They're making millions and millions of dollars.
- 34:19They're playing professional baseball.
- 34:21They need to have these players watched if they're doing things
- 34:25with their, their, their son, their daughter or whatever
- 34:28they're doing and they're, they're off time, they have to
- 34:31be careful. There's too much money invested
- 34:33into these players. It's an investment.
- 34:35It's horrible when you see this because again, that's why the
- 34:38WBC, remember the WBC with the insurance policies and a lot of
- 34:42the Puerto Ricans and Dominicans couldn't play because there has
- 34:45to be insurance policies. These players should have their
- 34:48own insurance policies if they get hurt off the field.
- 34:51They shouldn't the the team should not be paying for it.
- 34:54That's my opinion. Yeah, it's it's always tough
- 34:57what you deal with somebody like fluky like that.
- 34:59But yeah, there's always going to be some weird examples.
- 35:01One of which was a Co host on our show last year that had a
- 35:04trampoline incident and there are plenty of others.
- 35:06Kendra Morales celebrating a walk off.
- 35:09Jabba, remember that? That's what I said.
- 35:11I come home so used to be on our show last year to trampoline.
- 35:13Yeah, yeah. Cadrey Morales, Troy Tulowitzki,
- 35:17I think Cadwell where he like broke his hand punching a wall
- 35:19or something. Like there's always some like
- 35:21crazy ones that happen. So for a guy like Boyd, who's
- 35:24been injury pro in his career, that's definitely one of the
- 35:25definitely one of the weirder ones you've seen.
- 35:27And Roman Anthony, like you said, fish, the Red Sox, they're
- 35:30looking for a spark with their young guys.
- 35:32Definitely not ideal for that. Somebody else is going to have
- 35:34to take loans. Maybe somebody like Campbell
- 35:35that doesn't play as much, we'll say.
- 35:39Wasn't there a famous pitcher that like tried to iron his
- 35:41jersey while he was wearing it or something like that and
- 35:43burned himself? Oh fish, here's the best one of
- 35:47all. I forgot Joel Zumaya played
- 35:49Guitar Hero. That's right, he was like in the
- 35:52100 mile an hour fastball guy before.
- 35:54People really want it. And he had a Guitar Hero injury.
- 35:58That's pretty bad. Talk about some guys that are
- 36:00coming back soon though. Garrett Cole made his fourth
- 36:04rehab start on May 5th. Rodan made a rehab start.
- 36:07They both didn't look great in that rehab start.
- 36:09They both gave up six runs. But as you know on their way
- 36:12back, Blake Snell seems to is going to be back soon as well.
- 36:17For the Dodgers, they just lose glass now they get Snell back.
- 36:20Dodgers just get the rich, keep getting richer.
- 36:23As far as the Mets go, looks like we had Minter have a set
- 36:28back over there. So the bullpen.
- 36:31No relief coming. Don't worry about Garrett Cole,
- 36:35Don't worry. Worry about Rodon.
- 36:37They're going to be added to an absolute dominant pitching
- 36:41staff. They'll get their feet wet and
- 36:42they'll be fine. For all the fans out there,
- 36:45they're going to be fine. I don't care what they do in
- 36:47AAA, everybody was like Lucas Spencer Jones, you striking out,
- 36:50you doing news. The major leagues are different.
- 36:53It's it's different. They're going to throw harder.
- 36:55They're going to play at a high, higher level.
- 36:57That's what always happens. Don't worry about Garrett Cole,
- 37:00don't worry about Rodon. You got Mr. Schlittler
- 37:03dominating, Max Freed dominating.
- 37:06Besides Will Warren yesterday, he is dominating.
- 37:10You got a pitching staff that is fully loaded and ready to go.
- 37:13And by the way, now you can move Weathers and all the other
- 37:18pitchers to the bullpen and boost up your bullpen, which is
- 37:22pretty damn good right now too. So good luck, American League,
- 37:26and good luck to baseball. The Yankees are coming.
- 37:29Yeah, it's it's Rodon is one that's fish.
- 37:32You mentioned he struggled in his last start.
- 37:34I saw Brian Hoke, guest of the show, was saying that he could
- 37:37return as soon as next week, which doesn't seem ideal for
- 37:40that kind of thing if you're just struggling.
- 37:41I know what you're talking about.
- 37:42Rodon Yeah, yeah, I think you're better off waiting longer.
- 37:45I mean, it's fine. Like you said, they have enough
- 37:47versatility. They could pitch weathers a
- 37:49little bit more. You, Elma Rodriguez, could go
- 37:51another start, even maybe Carlos.
- 37:53They're going to move Elma Rodriguez to the bullpen and
- 37:55he'll be an eighth inning guy. He's throwing on.
- 37:57If he's moved to the bullpen, he's going to throw 100 and 203.
- 38:00Good luck trying to hit that. I mean, the Yankees are loaded.
- 38:05This is probably the best pitching staff the Yankees have
- 38:08had since 1998. That's how good this pitching
- 38:11staff is. Do you remember that pitching
- 38:12staff it this is a great pitching staff and it's just
- 38:16getting better and better when you look at the names that are
- 38:18coming in and we haven't even seen Schmidt.
- 38:20Schmidt won't be back until the All Star break.
- 38:22And he's another one, too, like Weathers, that can be a hybrid
- 38:25starter reliever, too. So it's ridiculous postseason.
- 38:27If you get everyone healthy, you're going to have a lot of
- 38:29versatility. To and they got a pitcher that's
- 38:32pitching very well, well in AAA right now who could be called up
- 38:35at some point this year as well. So good luck to everybody out
- 38:39there. Yeah, not to mention Frida's
- 38:41been lights out like like we all expected him to be.
- 38:44I mentioned him. I mentioned.
- 38:45Him let's let's, let's finish this up right here.
- 38:49Actually, that's it, right. That's it for inside baseball.
- 38:52We'll come back in a little bit. We got a brand new segment
- 38:55though coming up, Beryl. Yes, for all the fans out there,
- 38:58there's a lot of special things that happen during the years and
- 39:01and certain days. And we have a new segment called
- 39:05On This Day. And now what we're going to do
- 39:08right here is go back, way back, back into time.
- 39:12It's time for On This Day. On this Day.
- 39:17All right, welcome to On THIS DAY.
- 39:20Some of you might know I've been a history teacher for a long
- 39:23time. I wanted to bring some of that
- 39:25into the show. I got a bunch of great sports
- 39:28events that happened On this date in history, so let's get
- 39:33into it. We got the Knicks defeating the
- 39:37Lakers in Game 7 to win their first ever NBA title.
- 39:42This is the Willis Reed hobbled game, Babe Ruth's first ever
- 39:46Homer, the first female Philly Kentucky Derby winner, The Randy
- 39:52Johnson 20 strikeout game back in 2001 on that Diamondbacks
- 39:57team that eventually beat the Yankees in seven.
- 40:00Which one of the worst moments I remember as a kid and The
- 40:03Wailers moved? To Carolina in 1997.
- 40:09Errol and obscure one always have an obscure 1.
- 40:14Rodger Bannister. Do you know that name?
- 40:16Of course from history. What is he famous for doing on
- 40:19this day? Speedy I give.
- 40:22I remember Rodger Bannister, but I don't.
- 40:24Remember, speedy is a good clue. The word speedy is a good clue
- 40:28for Rodger Bannister. Is it something with the Cubs?
- 40:31I don't know Rodger Bannister. I don't know what is it.
- 40:34Rodger Bannister is the first person to run a sub 4 minute
- 40:38mile in 1954. I remember the Hartford Whalers,
- 40:44by the way, I remember that I actually rooted for the Hartford
- 40:48Whalers. They had one of my favorite
- 40:49goalies growing up on, on the Hartford Whalers when they moved
- 40:52them to Carolina. And I also remember the Yankees,
- 40:56Gonzalez remember that. So I remember all those things.
- 40:59It made me sick to my stomach. And I wasn't alive for Willis
- 41:02Reed's hobble game. So 1973, That's a little pissed,
- 41:05my tongue. Well, the Knicks are trying to
- 41:07define that this year to get their own variations of it with
- 41:10this current core. It's we talked about OG, I know
- 41:13we injury earlier and the Knicks have had to play through a lot
- 41:16of guys hurt in the past and going to the Randy Johnson one,
- 41:19the Randy Johnson 20 strikeouts is something that is very hard
- 41:22to do and any era baseball. Nevertheless, doing it in
- 41:25today's game where there's a lot of hitters that are a lot better
- 41:28now than they were in the past, more of a power game.
- 41:31And at that time you're dealing with a steroid era too.
- 41:33So it's especially even harder to do it then as well.
- 41:35And he said, Roger Bannister, a 4 minute mile, that's very hard
- 41:38to do. Remember, I remember it now.
- 41:41It took a little while to remember that.
- 41:43Yeah, it's. Hard enough for a lot of a lot
- 41:45of, I'm sure you guys obviously be more athletic running the
- 41:48mile in high school, definitely. Well, I loved Michael Johnson.
- 41:52Watching Michael Johnson run those years and had a dominant
- 41:55level and everybody says he did steroids.
- 41:58There's a lot of them did steroids, but Michael Johnson
- 42:00was one of my favorite runners growing up.
- 42:02So I don't think he was ever caught, though I thought he was
- 42:04in a scandal, but I don't think he.
- 42:05Was caught. I think he was in the balco.
- 42:07Oh, OK. I think he was in the BALCO.
- 42:09Years later, they kind of brought him down and everyone
- 42:12kind of like Pooh Poohed. A lot of the stuff he did that
- 42:15Randy Johnson season, it was him and shilling on that team.
- 42:18I remember watching it, Errol, it was just like, what are you
- 42:22supposed to do against those guys?
- 42:24And then they started pitching them both on three days rest in
- 42:26the playoffs. That's why they won that World
- 42:28Series, beat that great Yankees team.
- 42:30I grew up on stories of that Willis Reed comeback.
- 42:34We've all seen, you know, hobbling back on the court.
- 42:36But really, the story of that game was Walt Clive Frazier
- 42:40putting up 36 and 19 to win that, to win Game 7, for the
- 42:45Knicks, to win the world. By the way, Willis Reed is the
- 42:48only New York Knick that's won an MVP.
- 42:51Just so you know. Only.
- 42:55You think where you think Brunson's going to finish this
- 42:57year in the MVP voting. 7th or 8th look what?
- 43:00Look what they did to OG and Nanobi as defensive player of
- 43:02the year. It made no sense.
- 43:03The 10th best defensive player in the league?
- 43:05Get out of here. What a joke.
- 43:07Best wing defender all season long when you look at analytics.
- 43:12So to, to rate him at 10, it just shows you it's a it's, it's
- 43:16not what, what, what do you call the speedy?
- 43:18What do we call these with these awards?
- 43:20It's a popularity contest. That's what it is.
- 43:23It's a popularity contest. SGA is going to win the MVP
- 43:27because it's a popularity contest, not because he's the
- 43:29best player. Because it's a popularity.
- 43:31Contest I just want to ask one one thing with the horse you
- 43:33said it was the first female horse or the.
- 43:36Yeah, the first Philly Derby winner.
- 43:38Her name was Regret. Can't make that up about the
- 43:42female horse winner. And the last little fun fact?
- 43:46Guess who? Babe Ruth as a Red Sox hit his
- 43:50first career home run against none other the Yankees, then the
- 43:55New York Yankees. This has been on this day.
- 44:00I like the Back to the Future Music that that it's one of my
- 44:03favorite movies. I I'm a big Michael J Fox fan.
- 44:07Life with Mikey and I met Michael J Fox.
- 44:09My cousins took care of his kids out in the Hamptons.
- 44:13So I love Michael J Fox and and I know he's dealing with
- 44:17Parkinson's. So if if Michael J ever wants to
- 44:20come on the show and talk about Back to the future, we would
- 44:22love to get him a Teen Wolf. Love the Teen Wolf movie.
- 44:25I love everything about Michael J Fox Doc Holiday.
- 44:28Remember that? I mean Doc Hollywood, Hollywood,
- 44:31Hollywood. Hollywood, yes, the Back to the
- 44:33Future ride at Universal Studios.
- 44:35I was like obsessed with it as a kid.
- 44:37When we ever went to Florida, I didn't want to go to Disney.
- 44:40I wanted to go to Universal to go on the Back to the Future
- 44:42ride. I love, I love Michael J Fox, so
- 44:46hopefully everything's going well and his son looks just like
- 44:48him, speaks just like him. It's crazy.
- 44:50Anyways, when we and he also dated Taylor Swift, I don't know
- 44:54if anybody knows that Michael J Fox really.
- 44:56She actually wrote 2 songs about Michael J Fox's son and Michael
- 45:02J Fox. He was really upset about it and
- 45:06Michael J Fox was the one that told Taylor Swift do not write a
- 45:09song about my son and she did. So anyways, that's a whole
- 45:11nother story. I don't want to throw things out
- 45:13there, but you could check it out if you want.
- 45:15If you think I'm lying about it, it's true.
- 45:17Thank you. We have a new producer.
- 45:19He's going to be joining us. He's getting to know who we are.
- 45:22Sam ad he's right there in the corner.
- 45:24We really appreciate him joining us and and he's going to be
- 45:26working with us on so many things on the back end and the
- 45:29front end of the stuff. So we think everybody that tunes
- 45:32in to us on every single profile, I never thank anybody
- 45:36on Roku. And somebody actually reached
- 45:38out to me the other day and says I watch your show on Roku all
- 45:41the time. And I said, so I'm going to
- 45:44thank all the people that are tuned in on Roku watching our
- 45:47show, interacting. If we can't see you, I
- 45:50apologize. We can't see you.
- 45:52And there's another stupid thing Fish is posting up.
- 45:54Shout out to the Roku nation. Maybe yes, thank you to all the
- 45:59Spotify and Apple fans on video and audio, all the downloads,
- 46:04all the views, all the videos and all the other stuff.
- 46:08Thank you to the TikTok, Instagram and X fans, New York
- 46:12sports loudmouth, YouTube, our YouTube fans and we are that we
- 46:16have a couple of them on still on.
- 46:17It's crazy. We do our show from 7:00 to
- 46:2011:00. It's it's, it's a long one, but
- 46:22I will say this, this is like the prime time for sports and,
- 46:26and a lot of guys go in and out. It's it's not easy.
- 46:28We're not doing prime time for radio shows.
- 46:31We're doing prime time for sports and, and, and people are
- 46:34sitting there and watching our show throughout the show.
- 46:36So everybody that tunes. And by the way, after we're
- 46:39live, we take the video off. So you cannot watch it on our
- 46:43YouTube channel, the full video. So the only way you can see it
- 46:46is on Spotify and Apple. So I, I want to let all the fans
- 46:50know that we do not keep it. We only do with this live on
- 46:52video. So you can watch us when you're
- 46:54interacting and you can interact, you know, during our
- 46:57live events. But we really appreciate all the
- 47:00fans. Sweetie, who do we have on
- 47:02Monday? And.
- 47:02Thursday, joining at 8:20 on Monday, Mr. Invincible, Vince
- 47:05Papale, the first undrafted free agent, the first player in the
- 47:09NFL history, did not play college football.
- 47:11He'll join us at 8:20. And then on Thursday, Greg Oden,
- 47:14former NBA player and was saying some of the directors of his new
- 47:18movie as well. Yes, and, and I've been
- 47:20following Greg and he's doing some things and he has a
- 47:23clothing line. He's doing all these crazy
- 47:25things and Greg was expected to be one of the better big men
- 47:30when he was drafted by the Trail Blazers.
- 47:32Obviously it didn't happen that way.
- 47:35He had problems with his leg and his feet and all that other
- 47:38stuff. So we all know the background of
- 47:39Greg Odin's story and the guy that was drafted right behind
- 47:42him, Kevin Durant. So we know his career and Hall
- 47:46of Fame career. So I'm excited about that.
- 47:48I've never interviewed Greg Odin.
- 47:50I have Vince Popoli, but I I know Vince.
- 47:53I met him in Miami. Very nice guy, this guy, great
- 47:56stories. I think everybody will enjoy his
- 47:58storytelling. And if you've never seen the
- 48:01movie Invincible, Mark Wahlberg, great, great, great movie.
- 48:05Disney movie. Anyways, that's it for a show,
- 48:07ladies and gentlemen. Hopefully you don't use any
- 48:10paddles like Bill Simmons did when he was a kid and don't
- 48:14smack each other. And you know what?
- 48:15Good night, good night. Worldwide Sports radio network.
- 48:18Radio Network.
