Melissa in the Morning: Norwalk Interim Superintendent
Norwalk Public Schools is getting recognition for its efforts to reduce chronic absenteeism. The district’s absenteeism rate fell to 15-point-four percent during the 2025-26 school year — a two-and-a-half percentage point drop from the previous year. That puts Norwalk below the statewide average. In the midst of this report, we also are excited to meet Norwalk’s new district leader, interim Superintendent Sandra Faioes.
